  • 3:21

Wonderful. I'm tired of [ __ ] Mo, what was you just saying about uh twerking? Oh. Oh, Rory wanted to get a big float

  • 3:28

for the pool. Yeah, I saw on Instagram some girl was twerking on a big float in a pool and I thought it'd be good to

  • 3:34

have on the 17th. Rory wants to do everything that will incite uh malarkey and mayhem. Yeah, the

  • 3:42

nerve at a pool party. That That's what I'd want. And of course, Mole is scouting town for life records right

  • 3:47

now. He He don't even know that we're doing a podcast. Are you here? I'm here. All right, good. Just follow the lovely

  • 3:54

uh pool party candidate. Yeah, I ain't going to lie, [ __ ] And this has nothing to do with my podcast or anything, but [ __ ] is definitely

  • 4:00

hitting my jack talking about, "Yo, it's me plus seven chicks." Yeah, that's how

  • 4:06

that's how you like, yeah, me plus nine. Yeah, I can already see what's about to happen here. I do too, by the way. I

  • 4:11

think we might have messed up uh posting it on social media because you got out anyways. No, but I

  • 4:17

mean you got girls that just came out of the woodworks on social media that that are pretty There was there was a strategy to social media. It's for the

  • 4:24

bigger picture for the bag. Yeah, but then now you going to have 2,000 people trying to get in. We got cops. No, I

  • 4:31

ain't the the bullp 2,000 extra people in there

  • 4:36

fighting for some elbow room. Bull ain't going to be full. Yeah, go ahead and act stupid over there. Go ahead and play around over there. Now, speaking of

  • 4:42

twerking, I want to get on this and off of this pause. Look at you [ __ ] excited. Uh, pause. We going to start

  • 4:48

this really quickly. I don't know what's up with Tay Digs, man. But god damn it. What did Tay Digs do? God damn it.

  • 4:54

Stella's in Hawaii rolling around in her grave. What Tay Digs do, man? Say D

  • 5:01

shaking his ass on the gram. Tay D's been shaking his ass. Yeah, but come on. On the Graham though. I can't say I

  • 5:07

follow Tay Digs. Yeah, on the gram is wild. Yeah, come on, man. I've missed his twerking career. Really? Yeah. I

  • 5:14

can't say I've I've been following. And why Mo all know all about? I don't know. He been doing that from way back in the

  • 5:19

Bronx. Yeah, that's what Tay Dicks was. Whoa. No, let me get my joke off. Okay. How you know Tay Digs was doing that in

  • 5:25

the Bronx, dog. That's a joke. You got it off. All right. Cool. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go

  • 5:31

ahead. No, but he that's what he he was he was a dancer that he was known for being in the clubs in New York for real. Like before acting. But there's nothing

  • 5:37

wrong with that. That's cool. I know. But this twerking the ass thing. I don't know what you're talking about. his entire ass out on the gram like one of

  • 5:45

our exes or some [ __ ] What do you mean his ass is out? Like a star tender [ __ ] His ass is out.

  • 5:52

Nah, that's Oh, wait. Wait. Hey, Rory. Talk for a minute. You talk talk real. I got you right now. I'm trying to figure

  • 5:58

out when Tay Digs started dancing. Mo, give us the backstory. When did you first meet Tay Diggs and what was Tay

  • 6:05

Digs always been like he been on Tmont? He always been one of them wild dudes though. Like he be in the DMs whing.

  • 6:12

He'd be in DMs wilding. You never heard about that? I didn't even know Tex had social. Everybody one of them wilding

  • 6:18

dudes. He was always one of them wilding dudes. Like you know [ __ ] that just do wild [ __ ] all the time.

  • 6:26

He one of the wild out [ __ ] Oh, I know. Are we thinking of the same Tay Digs? The actor Tay Digs. Oh yeah. He be

  • 6:32

wilding. Got to look at recent years. He part of the Wild Boys, man. The Wild Boys. Yeah, he part of the Wild

  • 6:40

Boys for sure. Yo, what did he have his team removed at the [ __ ] P? Oh, man. Damn, man.

  • 6:48

Nah, that's crazy. That's crazy, bro. You're not not digging it?

  • 6:56

What the [ __ ] was he doing? Wait, what's he doing? What is he doing? You just said he's a wow boy. Okay, apparently

  • 7:04

he's wowing. He's on Snap. You know what I mean? No, I don't know what you mean.

  • 7:09

I don't know what you mean. [ __ ] you mean? Yeah, I mean. No, [ __ ] Why is Tay Digs looking like that, man? That

  • 7:14

nigga's crazy. Tay Digs might be in a sunken place, bro. I'm going to go out and say it now. All right. You know

  • 7:20

what? I'm tired of you [ __ ] putting everybody in a damn sunken place. I mean, look at him. That's some sunken [ __ ] He just told me that he been a

  • 7:26

wild boy. But that's that's that's that's one of the wild boys. Yeah, but that's like too far. He might be wow CEO

  • 7:32

now with that. All right. So, this is a wild start. So, I'm getting off. But then, God damn it, that was funny. Uh,

  • 7:38

    how's everybody? What's up? What's happening? [ __ ] man. Shitty weather. I'm sure you're having a blast. Weather.

  • 7:43

Love it. I love it. I love the shitty weather. It is what it is. Uh, I'm a little I'm a little sleepy. Yeah. The

  • 7:50

culture was asleep when we walked in. You had to dim the lights in the street. Listen, man. As one of the only culture

  • 7:56

forwarders out there. Yo, you got to stop. Every week it's a different title

  • 8:02

with you, man. What the [ __ ] man? Wait, you got promoted. You went from chief to forwarder. No, no, no. As the chief, I

  • 8:10

forward forwarding culture. As the chief, you forward. Got you. Got you. No, I'm just trying to understand, bro. I'm searching for understanding. I got

  • 8:16

it, though. Don't be trying to support your career. Yeah. I don't know. Mo being a whing boy right

  • 8:23

now. Mo being a whing dude. Anyway, yeah. No, I'm a little tired, but I'm a professional, so we going to get this

  • 8:29

done. Uh, you professional is funny. I'm a professional. It's just one of things

  • 8:35

where, you know, talking is talking gets tiring. Like, is it I leave this podcast

  • 8:40

with a headache every every single episode. Just too much talking hurts my head. Yeah. Like, it's to the point I'm

  • 8:46

I'm watching now the damn show. I be like, "Come on, Joe. Shut the [ __ ] Shut the [ __ ] up."

  • 8:53

Comments on Everyday Struggle. I wish this Joe guy would shut the [ __ ] up. Yeah, for real. But other than that, Yeah. How's the show going? I have I've

  • 8:59

missed a few of the last episodes just cuz I've been busy. Really good. Really good. Really good. Really good. It's going good. You've been You missed some

  • 9:06

episodes because you've been busy on your promo run. How's that going? Tell us tell us all about it. I'm actually

  • 9:11

happy I could squeeze you guys in today cuz I had a pretty uh busy day. That is true. Pause. Was right. Yeah, that's a

  • 9:17

pause. Um how was any? Tell me about it. It was great. It was great. Uh 5,000 people. Uh the weather gods looked out.

  • 9:24

Thank god. Um Cameron was great. Kid Capri was great. Uh Fame from Mop was

  • 9:29

just chilling. He was great. It's just a good day. Fame from M OP chilling is just funny cuz fame from M OP is not

  • 9:37

known just chilling. Uh there was like the side to get backstage and there was a bunch of people trying to rush to get

  • 9:42

back there and there was security and then someone was like well I got fame here. I was like who's Fame and Fame

  • 9:47

from MP? I was like fame is good. Have him come back here. Did everything I could to try to get him perform Annie up

  • 9:53

but he was just chilling. He had his he had his wife and well not wife whoever with him and uh kids. It was cool. That

  • 10:00

would have been crazy. Fame performing Annie up in Coney Island. He would have if he said he just didn't want to uh he

  • 10:06

said he wasn't going to open up for Cameron, which I totally understood. Not in a negative way. He just he's like, I'm not opening up for anybody. Uh and

  • 10:11

he didn't want to bum rush Cam set. So Makes sense. Well, that's cool. I'm glad that friend of the show. Super nice guy.

  • 10:18

Um can't say enough good things about Kick Capri either. Capri, it was a We love K Capri. Legend.

  • 10:26

And we love Fame. We love all of these people. Yeah, you should have came. What did you do on Saturday night? 100% not

  • 10:31

coming to any puzzle. You went to the last Cody Allen. I know and I shouldn't have. And you performed. I know. And I

  • 10:38

shouldn't have. See, I think that's some of the things M told when he says I moved the I uh moved

  • 10:45

the culture back some. I got you. Performing at Henny Palooa is moving it backwards. Why is that? Yeah, that

  • 10:50

wasn't forward in the culture. Why? Why? That was before I was the chief though. So, what were you doing that? That was

  • 10:56

before I was the chief. Oh, speaking of I meant to start with my [ __ ] but we'll get back to that later. Uh, what

  • 11:01

did I do Saturday? Saturday. Saturday. What happened Saturday? What happened Saturday? Oh, Saturday. Well, before we

  • 11:07

get to Saturday, let's just do a quick update before we get to Saturday. Before we get to Bryson's [ __ ] uh, I I thought

  • 11:14

that I I want to thank Charlemagne for last week. I can't believe that was last week. Feels like that [ __ ] was a month

  • 11:19

ago. We've done a lot in this week, it seems. Yeah, it does feel like a long time ago. Yeah. Uh, but that's cool. I

  • 11:26

want to thank him for doing that. I got such a kick out of Maul, man. What did Mo do? I've been laughing at Mo all

  • 11:33

week. Oh [ __ ] Really? I didn't know that. Yeah. Yeah. Because because Okay,

  • 11:39

so the Charlemagne episode happened and you know, you just real funny cuz that was your first time meeting Charlemagne.

  • 11:44

So, well, I met him before. I went to the uh Breakfast Club with you, but it wasn't like your your a postodcast

  • 11:52

analysis, as honest as and and and as sincere as it was, I thought was pretty funny. And you saying that your

  • 11:58

perspective changed a bit on him cuz I know a few other I saw a few other people say that as well. Yeah. Is what

  • 12:04

I'm saying. So that was funny. Yeah. No, it definitely did, man. Uh Charlemagne's he I definitely had him pegged wrong. I

  • 12:10

thought he was going to come up here on some [ __ ] being an [ __ ] But he was totally shocked me with, you know,

  • 12:15

everything he was saying. And he's he's a good guy. I like Charlamagne. I'm a fan of Charlemagne. But why does cuz is

  • 12:21

it cuz he comes off his [ __ ] on air that you felt like that? Yeah. But I kind of think that's his thing like to

  • 12:27

come off that way. But in here it felt like, you know, he was just kicking it with the homies. Yeah. Yeah, that was

  • 12:33

dope. Yeah, that was dope. Uh people seem to like it as well. Yeah, they did. Great response from it. Great response.

  • 12:40

Then it was that whole Ebro responded to that. Did threw a little shot at me and

  • 12:45

Mo. Did he think he called us the peanut gallery while we were giggling at Charlemagne story? My name is Maul, by

  • 12:52

the way. He broke. Well, you can't just assume that people are talking about y'all when

  • 12:58

they say peanut gallery. Well, I mean, he was 100 mentioned you and Charlemagne

  • 13:03

speaking. There was only two other people. He didn't even say my name. If I'm doing process of elimination, I'll

  • 13:08

say it. My name is Molly, bro. How you doing, man? And he did say my name. All right, what did y'all think about Ibro's

  • 13:15

broader point? Uh, I guess you could say he took the mature route as far as the

  • 13:20

picture thing with Charlemagne went. I mean, my my thing is this. I don't I understand what I said. I don't think

  • 13:27

that it played out that way to Charlemagne there because he didn't know that Nessa is the one that asked Ebro to

  • 13:34

take the pick with Charlemagne. Ebro just walked up to Charlemagne and you know asked to take a pick. So I mean

  • 13:41

Charlemagne declined. But I think if Charlemagne felt like it was Nessa that was the one that was putting that I

  • 13:46

don't think he would have told that story like that. You know what I mean? Like cuz it did make it seem like Ebro just wanted to take the picture. And I

  • 13:53

stance was kind of I didn't want to take it but Nessa said we should take it. You understand what I'm saying? Well, Ebro's

  • 13:59

stance and I and I understand I understand when Ebro says uh you know it's bigger than us but [ __ ] in

  • 14:07

Charlemagne head [ __ ] I'm here I'm here at this function with all these people

  • 14:12

that I quote unquote don't get along with so there it's bigger than us now that don't mean we got to be buddy buddy

  • 14:17

and yeah [ __ ] lock arms and gallop along the sidelines and I don't know if Ibro gave that context when he

  • 14:24

went up to Charlemagne and and also like what's the bigger picture there we're going to see Ebro and Charlemagne

  • 14:29

together and go, "Whoa, now I get it. Now we should stop all the bullshit." What was funny? No, it is a bigger

  • 14:34

picture. Well, there is a bigger picture, but I still What was funny to me is Ebro kept saying it's just entertainment. All right. But he seemed

  • 14:41

like he was really mad like in real life, like away from entertainment. He seemed like he was upset about the whole like everything Charlemagne said. I just

  • 14:48

didn't understand. I didn't get I mean again it's it's radio. It's like it's not real beef, man. Like everybody calm

  • 14:54

down. Get bro, my name is Mo. How you doing? Just got to put that out there. All

  • 14:59

right, so we get that out the way. All right, let's get to more of our radio beef. Let's get to more radio beef. We

  • 15:05

have beef with people. How do we feel about uh you know Mo me puts the battery in my back the middle of the week and

  • 15:11

then two days later he forgets he did it like then I'm just here and why did you

  • 15:17

do that? You just a few of y'all [ __ ] that get me mad at [ __ ] and then y'all go be besties with them. Wait, who was I

  • 15:24

besties with? Vern. No. Hey. Yo, you [ __ ] is wild on the low. No, I don't. You know, you know how I feel. I don't

  • 15:30

never want you in no beef. Vern got [ __ ] in a fight in the L marina with to where [ __ ] was banned from the L

  • 15:36

marina. I was in the full Nelson locking [ __ ] locking up squaring up with some wild [ __ ] And then Vern goes right

  • 15:44

back to Lina next weekend because yo, the funny [ __ ] is we all went back and tried to go in separately and they saw

  • 15:51

all of us and they turned us down. Like I said, yo, Joe, go first. I'm like 10

  • 15:56

people behind Joe thinking I'm going just slide. I got a vest on or some [ __ ] Something, my [ __ ] That was wild. They was like, "Nah." They looked

  • 16:02

at all of us on the line like, "Nah, no, no, no, no." Wasn't that just y'all here yesterday? No, no, no. Y'all can't get ahead. What? What? What type of ties did

  • 16:09

y'all have, [ __ ] What What was going on? I don't know, man. We was just trying to get have a good time, man. It was a wild summer. It's all right,

  • 16:16

though. It happens sometime, bro. Are you invited to the pool party? I think so. Is Vern? I think so.

  • 16:22

I got to put this list together. Anyway, uh [ __ ] I had a point that I was getting to with that. Oh, clue clue.

  • 16:28

Radio beef clue. I don't know how I feel about uh uh [ __ ] just being so comfortable to come to your

  • 16:34

[ __ ] show and and busted bust a rhyme. Yeah. Shots wild bars. Yeah. And

  • 16:41

that's all I'mma say. That is all I will say there. Ta. Look at I'm so mature.

  • 16:46

That was a mature way of doing it. I'm mature. Did you like the freestyle? No comment. The [ __ ] is wrong with this

  • 16:52

kid? What's wrong with this guy over here, man? Now, uh, do we want to start with

  • 16:59

uh Bryson or or uh our new found

  • 17:04

perspective of of people? Start with start with Bryson before we

  • 17:09

got into All right, let's start with Bryson. How do we feel? How do we feel? How do we feel? How do we feel about Bryson? How do we feel about Bryson? Uh,

  • 17:16

I think the album was Trap. the second disc of Trap Soul without any standout

  • 17:22

records. There was no don't on it. There was no exchange on it. It was just all the album cuts from Trap Soul again.

  • 17:28

This was like trapped y'all. Trapped and

  • 17:34

uh trapped y'all. I trapped y'all into being my fan. Trapped. That's wild. I

  • 17:41

    like it though. I don't I mean I Here's the thing. Wait, it's trapped y'all.

  • 17:48

[ __ ] he's a He needs another nap. Yeah, for real. The c the culture is wild and too. All right, go ahead. What you saying? Um I think if he didn't wait

  • 17:55

too long, it would have been okay because obviously he found a pocket that his fans like the younger kids loved.

  • 18:01

And I'm I would never fault him for continuing why [ __ ] fix something that's not broke. But it was too long.

  • 18:08

It being too long. You couldn't just give us Trap Soul Part Two when we waited that significant amount of time.

  • 18:14

But what are we expecting from Bryson? Are we expecting ballads? Are we expecting to see a wide range of vocal ability? Are we expecting pop records?

  • 18:21

Are we expecting more rap? Are we You know, I And I feel bad I feel bad that the people kind of created this uh false

  • 18:29

perception of who they think he should be and who who he should sound like. I thought initially that they hyped him up

  • 18:35

to be a bit bigger than he was. Mhm. But he kind of fed into it. I mean, as

  • 18:40

he should have as an artist, you should feed into that, especially on your first hour. Not if you're going to true to

  • 18:46

true to self me to death. But the only thing is right turn around right later. His his writing I think improved. There

  • 18:53

was a bit more there than there was on trap. So so I will say that's a positive out of it but it still wasn't enough

  • 18:58

musically or a change at all for if we're being if we're being modest. The

  • 19:04

the writing last time around was moderate at best. Well still moderate. fan base. His

  • 19:12

fan base, in my opinion, is like a college kid, 22 years old. It's easy to digest. It's relatable to that crowd. I

  • 19:19

think it's perfect for what he's trying to do at the moment. But there's really was no growth within it. But again, it

  • 19:26

might have been okay had it not been so long because people just wanted to hear that again. If this were a shorter

  • 19:32

album, I do agree. I think that is another note that I think people would have digested this a bit smoother than

  • 19:38

they did. I loved one through eight. But here's my thing. Rory said it sounds like records that weren't on Trap Soul,

  • 19:45

meaning it sounds like Trap Soul. So, is that a negative? No, cuz I think we spoke about it on this podcast before

  • 19:50

that he should still stay at least for the second album in that realm, but if you're going to solidify yourself as an

  • 19:55

artist, there should be some growth at least in the third and fourth album. You got to show you got to be able to show a little more is in your arsenal. You got

  • 20:02

to show that you got a little more in your toolbox that that you here for the for the for for the remaining. But does he need to do that yet? Yeah. You think

  • 20:09

so? Second album. Second album when you when you got a sound that's working really well. Boy, we are modest

  • 20:16

working really well or worked really well. It did. I say both. It's not

  • 20:23

working. It's a little too early, I think, to see how much this Cuz if you remember, Trap Soul was a slow burn,

  • 20:28

too. I know it caught on and was huge in like one week, but that album had been out for three or four months. Yeah.

  • 20:34

Okay. All right. So, this could be a slow burn, too. It's just everyone is on it quicker. I certainly hope that it is.

  • 20:39

I hope I'm wrong. But do you hear any do y'all hear anything on there that that says that this made that that this may

  • 20:46

slow burn? When I heard Exchange, I was like, "All right, that's he definitely has a follow-up single for Don't." I

  • 20:52

didn't really I didn't even really hear a first single on this. I heard some records that I like, though. Don't get it twisted. It's not a bad album. I

  • 20:58

still like half the album a lot. I do. Yeah. There was at least five or six records I could have cut down. Yeah. And

  • 21:05

some of them felt dated, too. It felt like he recorded those a little while ago. I think he did. I mean, [ __ ] I

  • 21:11

think on one of the tracks he said that. I don't I the the records that he put

  • 21:16

out before the album I like, too, though. Like, I like that. I love that. I don't know why that wasn't on the album. Why are you dressed like

  • 21:23

Bryson? I'm looking at you like, "What's up?" I'm dressed like Bryson Tiller. Okay. No, it's Bryson Tiller. Y'all

  • 21:31

didn't get the memo. No, I text everybody dressed like but he's got

  • 21:36

the quotable thing like he gave people IG captions for the whole summer. He's got that realm. He has that Drakeish

  • 21:43

part to him where he has things that people love to repeat and people love to tweet and that's really valuable even

  • 21:49

though we don't they do love to quote even though it's not brought up a lot that's very valuable right now. Yeah. Is making records that people y'all can

  • 21:56

shoot the [ __ ] all the bill y'all want. The fact of the matter is now that we have the album, now that we have the

  • 22:02

album, some things that some things that he displayed throughout the course of two years, we have enough to say, "Oh,

  • 22:08

that's why that happened." So, y'all can shoot this [ __ ] all of this bell. But

  • 22:13

the 19 tracks along with the 2-year hiatus along with the sound of some of

  • 22:20

these joints on here along with the abrupt album drop along with I could go

  • 22:27

I can wasn't abrupt. He announced it, didn't he? No, he was a regular roll out for nowadays. No, he announced it for

  • 22:33

for June 23rd and then dropped it early and then dropped it. Yeah, I didn't pay attention to when the actual [ __ ] was.

  • 22:39

Um, and now we could look into them other records that our other argument that we were saying uh early when I was

  • 22:47

like when you said no that's not a roll out. He just put the record. I'm like no he's putting a record out cuz they're

  • 22:52

trying to see what's good and just nothing is shaking with it. So now I could retroactively look at that and say

  • 22:58

nothing was catching. Like I'm not going to shoot the [ __ ] all this bail y'all doing. I like the album but we are

  • 23:04

shooting him bail. I think we said our people saying it sounds like trap soul. I mean, what's wrong with that? What if

  • 23:11

he put out an album trying to sound like somebody else? Then we would have a problem with that, too. Well, there could have been growth within his sound.

  • 23:16

He He just needs to He just needs to mature his sound. We don't want him to be somebody else. So, you don't feel

  • 23:21

like the sound he can't have the same cadence on on on every song down there? You shouldn't. Yeah, I agree. So, so

  • 23:29

remember now in our old Bryson argument, you know, you used to always be right

  • 23:35

when you say I have to wait for a second body of work from Bryson. Now that we have that, I said I said on the show on

  • 23:41

my [ __ ] I I think Bryson immediately takes himself out of that conversation with the rest of them [ __ ] with with

  • 23:47

Tori specifically or or with R&B? No, with all of the guys

  • 23:52

stylistically in that group. M that's Tori. That's Party. That's uh He still

  • 23:59

kind of owns that that Bryson Tiller sound though. A lot of people try to sound like Bryson a lot. The way people

  • 24:05

copy Party, they copy Bryson. Yeah, I can. There's a lot. Like we've played a lot of sleeper picks on this podcast

  • 24:11

that sounded like just a Bryson Tiller. Yeah. You called one of my sleepers Ryson Tiller. That [ __ ] was Ryson

  • 24:17

Tiller. The song was hard though. Yeah. But wasn't Bryson on that song? No, that was a different song. Yeah. Yeah. But my

  • 24:24

point that has zero to do with my point. I don't give a [ __ ] if the whole industry is out there trying to sound like Bryson. That has zero to do with my

  • 24:29

point of musically. Nah. You don't you don't produce at the

  • 24:35

same output as these other gentlemen. You don't produce at the same clip or quality as these other gentlemen. I

  • 24:42

can't continue to have you have you above or in that same Now, I'm not I'm

  • 24:48

not giving an opinion here. I'm just putting a point here. Party's last album was not great either. Party has one,

  • 24:57

two, three. He's definitely shown consistency. Three and a half bodies of work, one of which I don't like. And

  • 25:04

even in that album, you kind of think it's cool. Yeah. No, I don't. I'm probably one of the only [ __ ] I know that trash that album just cuz I think

  • 25:10

Party is much greater than that. It was to me it was bad. P1 and P2 is just so amazing. So, but enough about that. So,

  • 25:18

that's three bodies of work. [ __ ] Tori has one, two, three,

  • 25:23

four, five, six. You know what I mean? But how many how many can an R&B fan?

  • 25:28

Jeremiah has a few now. Well, you're naming people that have been in this music game a lot longer than Bryson.

  • 25:34

    Jeremiah, I don't think is a comparison there. He's been in this [ __ ] for 10 years. Yeah, you can't you can't go

  • 25:40

longer there, too. Yeah, been Bryson hasn't been around that long and he just doesn't that's not his thing. Like Tori

  • 25:47

does the mixtape [ __ ] where he could put out a bunch of remixes to other songs. Like I it's just not a fair comparison to me. Out of all the Tory tapes, how

  • 25:53

many can every R&B fan name? Can they name all of them? This just sound like please. I'm going to say this. I

  • 26:01

honestly I honestly feel like and I like Bryson. Bryson this this all came pause

  • 26:06

came at him fast. Honestly, that's how that's what I feel. I feel like here's a kid that just put out some music on

  • 26:11

Soundcloud and put album out. I mean, and it was like he didn't I don't think he expected so many people to gravitate

  • 26:18

towards his sound this fast. I agree. And now it's a demand for more and it's

  • 26:23

he's like [ __ ] You know what I mean? Like so I just think he's trying to catch up to the demand right now. I

  • 26:28

don't think RCA was prepared either for for the success of don't uh for the

  • 26:34

success of the album. Certainly certainly were. Mhm. So now it looked like it looked like either a RCA was

  • 26:41

ready before he was ready. Oh, hell yeah. They was after that trap. So after you did the backtoback tour in every

  • 26:48

city twice, RCA was like, "All right, what up? Let's do it again." And it seemed like when he wasn't ready, every

  • 26:53

time they was ready, they decided to not want to ever be ready with him. That was

  • 26:59

confusing, but that was well worded. Um, he switched, he said on the album, he switched management in between all this,

  • 27:05

too. that can certainly delay things um and lose focus as far as putting an

  • 27:11

album together. So, there's factors in there that you have to just put in, but every artist probably goes through these

  • 27:16

things, so you can't just say it was just him. Well, I still like half the album. I still wish uh Bryson all the best. I'm

  • 27:24

still going to listen to it. He's still going to do numbers. He's still going to do a great tour. I don't doubt that. Oh,

  • 27:30

yeah. He announced the tour uh with Metro Booming. And who else was on that tour? I didn't see um her her. Yes. Yes.

  • 27:39

I don't I don't know if I can stomach all those Bryson Tiller fans, but I'd like to see her live. Pause.

  • 27:46

That's not a Yo, listen. I'm going to tell you how wild that is. I heard it and I wanted Now y'all are just

  • 27:53

reaching. No, no, no. I wanted to pause. Stomach something is a regular ass phrase. Y'all are just reaching them.

  • 28:00

You're taking away from the trade. I'm rolling with you. You're taking away from how great the trade pause was cuz you're reaching and fishing for other

  • 28:05

[ __ ] Rory, this is why I didn't say pause because I'm with you on that. But y'all are the only [ __ ] still pausing.

  • 28:11

No, no, I'm with you on that. I can understand why Joe would say pause cuz I definitely was like, "Yo, you said you

  • 28:17

had you." You was on You was on trial. You was on trial in my mind just now for seconds. I'm not going to lie. You was

  • 28:22

on trial for about 3 seconds. First of all, stomach something is a regular ass phrase. Any man who says stomach is wait

  • 28:29

first of all don't ever talk about what you can stomach. Yeah. Why you tell me about your stomach, my G? I know both of

  • 28:34

you have used that phrase before, but I'll let the joke go for podcast purposes. Let's get our laugh off. Rory

  • 28:42

is so fun to [ __ ] with, man. But why is he stomaching?

  • 28:48

Why are you stomaching? All right. All right. Listen. Yo, wait. Cuz I looked at that little list that Rory sent over to

  • 28:54

talk about. Is Rihanna pregnant? I don't know. So, why the [ __ ] you put that beard? Cuz you gangster. That's what everyone's saying, man. Fa Get the [ __ ]

  • 29:01

out of here, man. I wanted to tell y'all earlier, man. Yeah. What is Shut up.

  • 29:07

She was stubbing. I don't think she's pregnant, man. I don't think Rihanna pregnancy. She's She's watched way too

  • 29:12

much. But the pictures that they all running with saying that she might be pregnant, she just look like she just, you know, she just got thick. She just

  • 29:22

Hell yeah. I like I like Dick Rihanna. Hell yeah. Who doesn't like Dick Rihanna? And call

  • 29:28

them up. I want to talk to them. Yeah. Like what? Well, yeah. It' be ice. No. No. I'm not in that girls like that. I'm

  • 29:34

not into beautiful girls with fire.

  • 29:39

Ice [ __ ] full of [ __ ] All right. So, listen. All right. What else is on our list? What do we have happening here? Do

  • 29:45

we really want to talk about this TI tip uh tiny thing? Where do we stand here? I had never watched a show before in my

  • 29:51

life, but I didn't want to be left out in the timeline. So, it was 30 [ __ ] minutes. The clip that was on Twitter was all you needed to watch. It was a

  • 29:57

bunch of [ __ ] between that. Yo, TI is so funny, man. Like, it's just like even in that moment, like him having

  • 30:04

that conversation with Tiny. He was so well spoken. I never seen somebody that was so upset. Nah, he's kind of Joe. So

  • 30:11

spoken. What's What's the clip in Love & Hip Hop when he's with Ka when Joe's with Kayn talking about let us pray about it and [ __ ] Wait, who's that? You

  • 30:18

you across Who was the other person? Ti and Tiny. It reminded me a lot of that manipulation [ __ ] going on. I'm not even

  • 30:24

gonna look at Joe right now. Go ahead. I'm listening to you, Rory. I'm not I'm not listening to Joe. Just me and you here right now. Do you know the clip I'm

  • 30:30

talking about? I don't remember the clip you talking on loving hip hop when he's talk talking to [ __ ] He said he don't remember it. He remember somebody. I

  • 30:39

can't remember. Trust me, it was there. Yeah, I can't. He's one of those guys. Know, [ __ ] He said that. But I do know why you talked about it on this [ __ ]

  • 30:45

podcast. But I know he know. And now he said it now. No. No. But I do know why you say Joe and Tia are kind of like

  • 30:50

very similar. Why? Because when y'all you have a way of speaking when you're

  • 30:56

upset. Even in the uh the clip with um something is happening. You don't know

  • 31:01

what's happening, but something is happening. Like it's [ __ ] like that. It's like you you find a way to be so

  • 31:06

well spoken at times where it's like, "Yo, let that [ __ ] go out the window and just have an argument." But no, you're going to that gets under people's skin.

  • 31:13

And then watching that with TI and Tiny was just like hilarious to me because he was sitting there in the suit, you know,

  • 31:19

looking, you know what I mean? He was just like, "What's Tell me where y'all stand on that. Where do y'all stand on on what they were arguing about?" He

  • 31:26

[ __ ] the assistant allegedly. Allegedly. Yeah. If you're going to cheat, don't cheat with like her home

  • 31:31

girl. That's a little messy. But in the same I love how we say if you're going to cheat. I mean, I like I like how

  • 31:38

that's just like a conversation thing now. Like if you're going to cheat, don't do it with it's supposed to be. No, you're not supposed to cheat at all.

  • 31:45

We got so far. But no, women's women will tell you that now. If you're going to cheat, just don't let me find out about it. So, it's kind of like, wait,

  • 31:52

should I cheat or you know what I mean? You kind of like then you get the one, listen, I'm

  • 31:59

not giving you a pass or nothing. But yeah, or nothing, but it's like so do I have a pass or don't I have a pass?

  • 32:04

Yeah, I'm definitely putting that in the back. Tuck tuck of the wallet. holding on to that pass. But I do feel like uh

  • 32:12

what he said allegedly she was dating, you know, somebody that TI had issues with Floyd. I Yeah, I totally am against

  • 32:20

that. I don't think that Wait, what? No, no, no. Like, honestly, where you can't be you can't speak up for women's rights

  • 32:26

and side with him. No, no, no. I can understand why he's mad at that though, cuz he's kind of saying like, I'm not

  • 32:31

    mad that you was [ __ ] with somebody else, but you [ __ ] with a [ __ ] that you know I have issues with. I think

  • 32:37

    that's where his problem was. like, you know, I have issues with that [ __ ] So, out of all the [ __ ] you can [ __ ] with, you going to [ __ ] with a [ __ ] that, you

  • 32:42

know, I have issues with, but we're aware of what his problem is. Yeah. So, I'm saying I agree with him being upset

  • 32:48

about that. But, but but she's saying you [ __ ] the assistant. Mhm. I didn't

  • 32:54

say that she wasn't wrong for being mad at that. I never said that. I don't know how much you could be mad at after you [ __ ] the assistant. What you mean? You

  • 33:01

can be mad at whatever you want. Yeah, that's the thing. You can't tell me about it. Why not? That's not You can't be mad about it. No, you can't. It's

  • 33:08

always that you're you you're not allowed to be mad at that. You're not supposed to. Yeah, you could be mad at whatever the [ __ ] you want to be mad about. No, you're right. Y'all are

  • 33:14

right. You just certainly won't be telling me about it. Feel how the [ __ ] you want to feel? You Wait a minute. But

  • 33:20

okay, Joe, if you're dating somebody and she cheats on you with a [ __ ] that you got beef with, you not going to feel

  • 33:25

some type of way about that? I'm dating a dude. Wait, no, no, no, no,

  • 33:31

    no. You're not dating a dude. But that's not a pose. She's d you're dating someone and she's and she's and she's

  • 33:38

she she's [ __ ] around. Are you gay bashing? What if I really am dating a dude? I support I don't know what the

  • 33:43

[ __ ] just happened for somebody else to get a clip, but I'm the one that creates the

  • 33:49

clips so he's mad about it. God damn it. What are you saying? But if

  • 33:54

you're dating a a woman and she starts seeing somebody that you have beef with, you will you would be upset about that.

  • 34:00

Oh, she's a mut. Okay. So, that's all I'm saying. I ain't about to sh see. No, I look at it a bit different. I thank I

  • 34:07

like to thank God for showing me who people are soon. So, I'm not so sure how

  • 34:12

long I would be mad at that. I would be very thankful that she's a mut and she let me know she was a mut.

  • 34:19

Yeah, but when you're in a 20-year marriage, that's why I'm not saying just be that dismissive about. Of course,

  • 34:25

you're going to feel some type of way. Especially now we have to explain to my children who have been publicly beefing with this guy that your mother is now at

  • 34:31

his [ __ ] pool party. Well, this was a hypothetical I was responding to and more. I'm not Grant, the coin is there,

  • 34:37

too. Uh, your father is [ __ ] the assistant that's in the crib is also a terrible conversation to have as well.

  • 34:43

I'm not taking anyone's side, but I get why TI would be upset about that specific point naturally just as a human

  • 34:49

being. I'm not saying he's right or wrong, but yeah, you could feel away about that. Well, you should feel a way cuz as a

  • 34:55

man, we never going to believe a woman when when you say, "Oh, I never thought I damn." Oh, yes, she did. Knock it

  • 35:02

off. Like, and I'm not saying she did, but I'm saying who ever believed a woman in that scenario? No. Y'all have y'all

  • 35:09

ever? [ __ ] no. You ask that you asking me that? Come on, man. You know better

  • 35:15

than that, Joe. You know me way better than that. I'm just saying. No. [ __ ] no. Hell no. I never believed a woman when

  • 35:21

she says that. Never. I ain't gonna lie. Me neither. Yeah, you can't, man. Come

  • 35:26

on, man. Me neither. Let's just be real. You can't. Yeah, I'm sorry. Even if they're right, I'm not rolling. I'm not

  • 35:32

rolling with that. Yeah. Sorry. Um, funny. Uh, speaking of light-kinned couples, Odell and uh, Iggy, what's her

  • 35:39

last name? I always confuse all the Aelia. Igelia. They're not together, though. They trying to make me care

  • 35:44

about that. I don't care. Yeah, we don't care about that. I never want to talk about uh, Shorty. Yeah. Uh, has she put

  • 35:52

out music since they kind of killed her? I don't know. Cuz that would involve me talking about shorty. No, but you can

  • 35:57

listen. You don't have to talk about Oh, no, no, no. Why would I be listening to that? Oh, I thought that was your [ __ ]

  • 36:04

Whoa. What the [ __ ] was that? Never. Yo, randomly I just screamed that out.

  • 36:10

That's remember Joey from Blossom. Yeah. Yeah. [Laughter]

  • 36:17

What's wrong with you? Word. That was the perfect time for that. Uh papoose, did he sign MMG? Did

  • 36:24

Ian give you the tea? One papoose. It's a slow week. Look what

  • 36:30

got a lot going on. So, what y'all doing tomorrow? We just going to start talking about real action. What y'all do? Got play tomorrow, man. So, Tiger Woods had

  • 36:37

a pretty good Memorial Day weekend. He definitely had the mask on mask. I feel like Tiger Woods always has a pretty

  • 36:43

good Memorial Day weekend. I don't know. Don't ask me why I feel like that. I just He was in Vegas or

  • 36:49

Miami. I don't know. He had he had the pills and the lean with him though. He definitely had the Molly Percoet. Yeah.

  • 36:55

I can't even make fun of him cuz now more information has come out. So he was right. There was no DUI, right? I know.

  • 37:00

He wasn't He wasn't really drunk. I'm really mad. I hate when the truth comes out sometimes. Sometimes the truth will come out and

  • 37:06

it'll totally ruin a story. Yeah, man. Like the truth about Michael Jordan flu game. That that ruined my childhood.

  • 37:11

What? That he was hung over. Yeah, that ruined my childhood, man. Yeah. You know, I say that and people don't be

  • 37:16

believing me. So, I'm glad that our inside inside hoops sports reporter is

  • 37:22

saying you always you always word it differently. Come on. Yeah. Come on. Amar Rashad [ __ ] tell us what the

  • 37:28

tell us what the [ __ ] is going on out there. Tell tell that to the young people. Oh, the the flu game. It wasn't

  • 37:33

It wasn't the flu, man. Mike was out partying, drinking, had a bunch of models, man, and was whing and was just

  • 37:39

just hung over, man. So, it wasn't they named it the flu, but it it wasn't the flu. Damn. He was poor Byron Russell,

  • 37:45

man. Yeah. [ __ ] I've definitely gone into work hung over and cold at the flu. So, I'm not mad at him. You know, now I

  • 37:52

have a job. It's pretty exciting when you run late for work in the morning. It's a rush. Yeah. It's kind of dope.

  • 37:58

Well, since you're the chief, you can't get fired, but the rest of us, you know, I mean, I can get fired. You got to get

  • 38:03

dressed in the dark and [ __ ] It's pretty cool. I feel like you get dressed in the dark

  • 38:09

anyway, Joe. I feel like you would really be like, "I don't give a fuck." You know what? Hold up, man. Shut the

  • 38:15

[ __ ] up, Mo. Uh, are we going to talk about our weekend and our and our newfound respect for a dear

  • 38:22

friend? You hang out with a [ __ ] twice and start using words like dear. A dear pal of mine. Known him for

  • 38:31

so long. I've known him for 72 hours. Yeah. But he was great. He was awesome. We've known each other forever. I don't

  • 38:37

know why y'all do that. Women Women love doing that. I don't know why y'all do it, but we're not going to get

  • 38:42

into that right now. Uh, how did I even end up in this guy's [ __ ] presence? Yeah. Well, y'all was

  • 38:49

DMing, you know, pause. Y'all was DMing each other for a while. We were DMing each other. Yes. And I'm pausing that.

  • 38:56

Uh, I just had an awesome time with this guy, man. I think interesting guy, man.

  • 39:01

I don't want you guys to move too fast, though. Yeah, we just have a lot of chemistry.

  • 39:07

This is a little wild right now, but I did have a real good time in the studio. This guy and and and him trying to Berg

  • 39:14

trying to convince the three of us to take industry jobs is great. That was that was hilarious to announce Young

  • 39:20

Berg is who we're talking about. Yeah, you just kind I don't want to call him Young Berg no more. I told he's hitmaker. Yeah, hit maker. Hit maker.

  • 39:28

Ladies and gentlemen out there, I want to be let me be the first one to tell you or maybe the second if you guys have

  • 39:34

spoken to all somebody. You guys got You guys got Young Burger wrong, man. Yeah,

  • 39:39

you guys got it wrong. Yeah, I do understand how we got to getting it

  • 39:44

wrong. Yeah, that's very important. I want to be clear in that. I understand. I'm not bashing anybody here. But we're

  • 39:52

here to tell you misinformed. You get it wrong who he is. And not only do you get it wrong, but sometimes you don't get a

  • 39:59

chance to correct when you get it wrong in the music business. Fortunately for a hitmaker, he's so talented that he's

  • 40:06

still around all of these years later, even more so su even more successful than he was as an artist. Actually, that

  • 40:13

makes for a real good conversation. How long before you think or how many artists do you think are

  • 40:20

capable of being more successful when they stop recording?

  • 40:26

Not a lot. It have to be have to be someone that does writes their own [ __ ] produces their own [ __ ] You have to

  • 40:31

have that talent to continue on in the music industry without being an artist. I do think we are about to see the age

  • 40:38

of of a lot more artists delving into some other things though. Like Party for

  • 40:44

example, Party's a great writer and producer. He could certainly be successful without being an artist. I

  • 40:50

one off the top of my head that I can think that's new. Uh Ty Dollar sign certainly Well, he did that before he

  • 40:55

was an artist and could continue to do it. I think Fat Joe will be a great executive. He has a great ear. Great ear

  • 41:02

for me. Rick Ross I think could be a great executive producer. Yeah. And executive. Are we excited about Two

  • 41:09

Chains album? I am always excited for Two Chains albums. I am. I think Two Chains is very underrated as a rapper.

  • 41:16

Very underrated. Like I've listened to a lot of Two Chains records and I can't believe he says some of the [ __ ] that he says. Like it's really surprising cuz

  • 41:22

when you think about Two Chain, you just think turn up, twerk, them type of [ __ ] He be really spitting though. You know

  • 41:28

what I'm saying? like he'll say a lot of slick [ __ ] and I'm like yo I didn't know he could he had those type of bars. So

  • 41:34

I'm happy you know and looking forward to a two change any two change project. Two change record project mixtape. I

  • 41:40

don't care what it is. What's the date on it? He he put a date out. He put a trailer out. I'm not certain of

  • 41:47

the date, but it's shortly. It's like in a few weeks. And boy do the features

  • 41:52

look great. Uh if you if you search, you can probably find a track list. Uh, but

  • 41:58

he's got Nikki on there. Drake is on there. Migos is on there. [ __ ] F.

  • 42:05

Everybody's on that [ __ ] A Two Chains Migos record. It just sounds like it's going to be crazy.

  • 42:11

Well, Two Chains is so so well respected amongst his peers. Yeah, it's probably one of the only names that that's going

  • 42:17

to get a feature or could get a feature from whoever. Are you looking Are you looking for the track list? Got it. Uh

  • 42:22

Gucci and Quo on a record. Travis on a record. Nikki on a record. Sway Lee on a record. Uh Drake big amount. We heard

  • 42:29

that already, right? Tie dollar Trey Songs and Jana on one record. That's crazy. Migos on one record. Forel on one

  • 42:36

record. Monica on one record. All of this is crazy. Monica. Monica closes the album out. Wow. All of this is

  • 42:42

ridiculous. Yeah. Wow. No, this should be good. I don't see that. Just sounds like a dope album. Uh dropping June

  • 42:48

16th. Oh, so the leak should be happening. I just enjoyed that album. I didn't even

  • 42:53

hear anything. I didn't even hear anything. Exactly. Exactly. I just had a blast listening to to the credits.

  • 42:59

Exactly. Exactly. Damn chains. Yeah. Maul got a lot of people angry last week when uh and I'm not talking basketball

  • 43:05

right now. I'm not getting into basketball, but boy, you made a lot of people mad with your uh Porzingis [ __ ] Mo. Yeah, but I mean, you see them

  • 43:13

double back and say it makes sense now. They looking at everything and how it's unfolding. I do want you to give me your

  • 43:19

take on Chris Paul to the Spurs, though, cuz that foils your little plan. Well, it's not my plan to say first and for I

  • 43:26

don't think Chris Paul is leaving LA. I think he loves LA. He's uh his family is there. His kids are, you know, he's

  • 43:33

raising his kids there. Can I just tell y'all that Mo has been attempting to get Chris Paul to LA since 2008 to the

  • 43:40

Lakers. So has So has Chris Paul. He lied. Y'all [ __ ] worship. I don't

  • 43:45

know. What you mean? I don't know. Oh, I don't know if that's accurate. NBA stopped it. All right, we're not getting you started there. We're not getting

  • 43:51

We're not getting you started with your uh Give me Give me your finals pick and then I'm getting off this. You know what

  • 43:57

it is. Warriors in six. We have a Yo, Jeff Van Gundy said Warriors in five.

  • 44:03

Yeah, that was crazy. Does anybody believe the Warriors are winning in five? No, I believe they I believe

  • 44:09

they're winning in six, though. I'm stealing Mo's answer. I think Warriors in six, too. But why do y'all believe that though? The Warriors just have too

  • 44:15

many weapons. All right. All right. I'm not getting into this. I know I keep saying that. You got Who's better, Steph or Kyrie?

  • 44:24

Steph. Yeah, I got to go with Steph. I love

  • 44:30

Kyrie though. But Steph just And we got to see Durant under the

  • 44:35

bright lights. I don't know, man. Before we talk about the finals. Yeah.

  • 44:42

And he played well. Well, it wasn't his fault they lost the the I know Durant plays well under the bright lights. I

  • 44:48

have to see him and I have to see the cohesion of this team. I don't know how Durant is responding to a Draymond choke

  • 44:55

out in game four in the finals. I just don't know. No, nobody knows. Yeah. And

  • 45:02

    I don't trust their bench. I'm not rolling. And LeBron listens to [ __ ] raising machines. I'm rolling [ __ ]

  • 45:07

Cavs. Why Why would I be rolling against against Cleveland? Hey, tell the truth.

  • 45:13

I I put I put my truths all on the table. Your truth shall set you free. So I I think we I think we are going to

  • 45:20

indeed release a podcast later this week. Let me just let the cat out the bag because if y'all think I wasn't

  • 45:26

recording Young Berg Yeah. Hitmaker, not Young B. I want to be respectful. The artist formerly known as Young Berg.

  • 45:32

Mhm. Should we get label jobs? Listen, man. That bag is right.

  • 45:39

B if I could work with Young Berg as an artist. Yes, I would do a label job with

  • 45:44

Young Bird. If Bird was doing my album, [ __ ] I'm singing. You know, Rory going to get barefoot and start singing some

  • 45:50

[ __ ] It's a fact. Um, nothing else sexy happened Memorial Day weekend. The weather was trash. So, the weather was

  • 45:55

shitty. We didn't get a bunch of barbecues. Uh, we didn't get a bunch of pool parties. Instagram was kind of

  • 46:01

quiet, too. It was all quiet. It's a little thy. I saw it every now and then, but you know, all the girls was right

  • 46:06

there in Miami on that same boat. I saw that same boat about Yeah, I know. She I know what you're talking about, too. It's the same boat, man.

  • 46:14

It was the same boat all day. Yo, how come I saw that boat, too? I know the whole blueprint of that. Why were they

  • 46:19

all on that boat? Because, man, you know how it is, Joe. Man, they know why they was all on the They should stop. It's

  • 46:26

never going to stop, bro. Cuz I was just going to say maybe it was light on the gram and and and on Snap. Maybe we not

  • 46:32

seeing nothing cuz maybe, just maybe, maybe the hoes just stopped. You got the

  • 46:37

hoes [ __ ] up. a stop on Memorial weekend. Yeah, right. I think I'm at the

  • 46:43

point where I need more men at the pool party. Yeah, you got to have something for the

  • 46:49

ladies. Got to pause that. But yeah, I'm just staying out of conversations

  • 46:55

now. Oh, I thought you just wanted the people to hear me drink this [ __ ] Tropicana. I'm just staying out. It's

  • 47:01

only right. Anytime Roy does any poo or some [ __ ] he comes back as like the worst version of himself. Why is that?

  • 47:07

or it's because of this little press run that you're on. Did y'all listen to Rory's interview? Rory is on a Who are you?

  • 47:17

I would like to know. I listen to this [ __ ] I'm on a press run because I did a podcast that Joe also did. Mhm. Why am

  • 47:24

I on a press run for doing my friend's podcast? Because when I did it, I was on a press

  • 47:30

run for Joe. No, cuz he did a bunch of other podcasts and other publications. press run. Doing someone's podcast is

  • 47:37

not a press run. You just did podcast. Don't Don't do that, Rory, because I'll go to I'll go to Cass's Instagram or

  • 47:44

some [ __ ] There's another y'all. Y'all just did K Slay, too. That was for Henny Palooa. That was for Henny Palooa. Score

  • 47:52

two for Joe. How was that score two for Joe? I did something for Palooa. One thing for one thing for myself. Did a

  • 47:58

podcast. That's not a press run. For what though? There's a specific thing. There's a specific thing for a press

  • 48:04

run. Rory GR to leave us, man. Rory, what's up? Talk to us. What's up? He stayed cool with

  • 48:10

Marissa. No, for real. Rory going to leave us, man. I'm telling you, that's crazy. He about to Beyonce us, man. No,

  • 48:18

it's the Real has been asking me for a while and uh I had the time to do it, so I did it. And I did it well before the case late. That's a very old episode. I

  • 48:24

got to listen to that podcast. I got to check it out. And Joe was the only one that hated it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it a lot. Joe was the only one

  • 48:30

laughing by himself making jokes that no one was laughing at. You know, Joe, I hate everything. Yeah, I hate everything. I don't know. Just three

  • 48:37

white guys talking. I don't know, man. Whenever I eating whenever I do a podcast by myself, I'm I'm pray Joe

  • 48:43

don't find out cuz he going to kill that. What the hell with three white guys talking about? Everyone else liked it. No, it was good. It was informative.

  • 48:50

It just let me know like I have zero idea. I have no clue who you are. Rory in the over the span of seven minutes

  • 48:57

worked at every label. He was a bus boy. He went to five colleges. He got a a

  • 49:03

Bball scholarship. Missed the Olympic team. He went to Seed Hall and St. Pete. I don't know what the hell was going on

  • 49:10

with this. I was like, "Yo, Rory is an interesting man." Uh, I was really shocked that uh my Kanye story got the

  • 49:16

legs it did. Every [ __ ] publication covered that. M playing Pat tried to You

  • 49:22

were shocked that you went on a podcast and broke new news about one of the top

  • 49:28

artists that we have. Well, I'm not covered. I'm not the chief. So, I don't think all my things get out there the

  • 49:34

way they do with Yeah, but you be with the chief. They know you be with the chief with the chief.

  • 49:40

But he do be with the chief. So, you posted that on complex for me. I'm just saying. I mean, that's a story. Grew some legs. That's cool. Yeah. Yeah. I

  • 49:47

left that saying. Roy is a very interesting guy. I should I should learn more about him. I left a lot out, too. I

  • 49:53

left a lot of degenerate [ __ ] out of that that I might leave for part two when I do my second press run. I learned

  • 50:00

that you're the general manager of Henny Palooa. You knew that. That's the same as the chief, though. That's the chief.

  • 50:06

That's the same. That's just you making up a [ __ ] name or a title for some. First of all, I made up I made up general manager but he didn't make up

  • 50:13

the chief. The chief is wild. Mara, you bringing your own talent to the pool party? my own talent. Towel.

  • 50:21

Uh, if you want if I'd have to. Are you getting in the pool? Hell yeah. Did you get in the pool last time? No. The

  • 50:26

weather wasn't that great the last time we did it. I don't think the weather's going to be that great this time, honestly. Yeah. I'm a little nervous.

  • 50:32

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about this, but whatever. Uh, Summer Jam is coming up, right? Are we going? You got to sold

  • 50:39

the tickets, Chief, cuz you got to go to cover. And And of course, of course, it's going to rain on Summer Jam. It

  • 50:44

rained ever since they moved it outside to Giant Stadium. It has rained almost every single year. Yeah, I think that's

  • 50:50

talent. I'm uh I'm young. Where was in the garden before? No, it was in the where the Nets play. What was the name

  • 50:56

of the arena? It was in the arena. I don't know why I always felt like it was in Giant Stadium. Mm- But uh and the

  • 51:02

Roots Picnic is coming too, which has a great which always has a great lineup that I wouldn't mind going to. And it's

  • 51:08

the same day. I think it was the same day last year too. That's Solange and Wayne. Yeah, I think I want to do Roots

  • 51:14

Picnic and uh Made in America this year. Made I'm doing cuz we're probably going to do Honey Palooa like we did last year

  • 51:19

at the same time and then we all went Who's doing Made in America? Uh Jay and Jana. That's all. And then there's I

  • 51:25

think they put X like at the bottom and mad small letters. There's a couple people on there that you just can't read that are great. Yeah, I definitely got

  • 51:32

to see that. Do does anybody care about this title CEO story? What was it? I didn't see it. Uh I Google these things,

  • 51:39

Pat, but I think the Wi-Fi went out. that the a third title CEO has quit or

  • 51:46

been fired, one of the other. Uh it's like the third one over the past months or some [ __ ] Been happening. I don't

  • 51:52

know. They be always wanting to make us care every time somebody gets fired at title. I don't I feel like Jay knows

  • 51:58

what he's doing. They wanted They wanted super quick results with that title thing. And obviously it's a slow burn

  • 52:03

because it was already Spotify and iTunes that you're competing with. Yeah. You're not going to just get them out of

  • 52:08

here. Word. Yeah. Hey, uh, it seemed like a lot has been stuffed into the

  • 52:14

week, so my memory is a little off. Was that this week that we were having that conversation where you were so sad about

  • 52:19

the Get Down being cancelled? Yeah, man. I didn't like hearing that. So, why was M so shocked that the the Get Down? I

  • 52:26

like how does how does something get cancelled on Netflix? I thought they release all the episodes. Like, what?

  • 52:31

How do you get cancelled on Netflix? I don't understand. Means we're not bringing you back for another one. Oh, I thought the second season was already

  • 52:37

streaming. I thought I saw No. Well, here's the thing with the Get Down. It was cool that they were highlighting the

  • 52:42

the beginning of hip-hop, but it was just like, why do I have to watch this kid cry for five [ __ ] hours in every

  • 52:48

episode? It was just a weird storyline on top of hip-hop. It was just this light-skinned kid crying over this girl

  • 52:54

while trying to learn how to rap. It just didn't make sense to me. The Get Down. Yeah, I'm not rolling more. So,

  • 52:59

you're not [ __ ] with The Get Down. I watched the whole season, but I It took me It took a while to get through. I'm glad it got down. I like it, man. You

  • 53:08

would like it. I did. I liked it. So, I've recently started watching a show on Netflix as well, I think, called

  • 53:13

Bloodline. Um, it's on season 3, but I'm on season 1. Uh, I've heard good things.

  • 53:21

It seems a little affairish so far, but I'm only on episode like three or four.

  • 53:27

But I like it. What is it about? Uh, a white family with secrets.

  • 53:32

I I love I anytime anytime a anytime a family is just having secrets,

  • 53:39

I like it. I feel like all mosties family Well, are y'all of the belief

  • 53:44

that most families have family secrets? Yes. Hell yeah. I'm not of the belief that a nor Have you ever met a normal

  • 53:51

family, [ __ ] We might be family secrets. That's a fact. That's why I don't think like as a Have you ever

  • 53:58

Someone said like, "Oh, well, they don't have a dysfunctional family." Have you ever met a family that wasn't dysfunctional in your life? No. Yeah. I

  • 54:04

don't think there's a functional family in the world. There's not. I'd love to know how many people uh think that

  • 54:10

they're they have family secrets. Oh, I think everybody feels like they have family secrets. I don't think that's a

  • 54:17

secret. Every family feels like we definitely Well, this is this show is about a white family with secrets. I

  • 54:23

can't wait to go back and finish watching this [ __ ] And that's the only show I've I've been watching TV. I accidentally

  • 54:30

clicked just because I liked the artwork on Netflix of the [ __ ] called Keepers. It's okay. It's It's a very interesting

  • 54:36

If you like sick and creepy [ __ ] it's a true story. It's a documentary about this nun that got murdered because she

  • 54:43

knew all the secrets of this school they were teaching at cuz the priests were touching all the girls and [ __ ] It's

  • 54:48

really deep and interesting. I don't know if I can take another episode. I think I'm going to clock out at episode three, but I take another episode. But

  • 54:56

I'm at three right now and it was interesting, but I think I've had enough. Yeah. Keepers, try it out. No,

  • 55:03

    [ __ ] I'm I'm going to definitely look at it. [ __ ] it. I like finding new [ __ ] on on Netflix. Me, too. But everything

  • 55:09

seems kind of uh I cut Tracy Morgan. I saw a Tracy Morgan special out. You don't like it? A new one. Man, I cut

  • 55:15

that [ __ ] off in the first five minutes. I don't think Tracy Morgan is as funny as everybody else does. Oh, I liked it. I thought it was a good special. I don't

  • 55:21

expect comics after they've been in their peak and they're kind of on their, you know, way down to retirement. I

  • 55:27

don't expect too much from it. I thought it was a great comeback story from from the whole truck thing. And well, it

  • 55:33

might it might have gotten a lot better after the first five minutes. I watched the whole thing. I I really enjoyed it.

  • 55:38

When you in bed playing footsies with your girl, your tolerance for shows is like real low. I don't know if Tracy is

  • 55:44

what I'm clicking. You're looking for something to be really good in the first 15 minutes cuz you going to be busting ass out.

  • 55:52

No. No. Joe, watch the movie. No. Single man. Single man's like, "No, I watched

  • 55:58

the entire movie. I love Warriors and Six. Get the [ __ ] out of here.

  • 56:04

You mad. I got the Warriors." I'm mad at everything. I'm mad at everything. Why

  • 56:10

are people surprised still? You got the Warriors and Six. [ __ ] out of here. Are we missing anything? I'm getting the [ __ ] out of here, man. I'm tired.

  • 59:35

I got you. I got you, fam. Is that all we got there? Are we done? Are we done there? All right. Do we have sleepers?

  • 59:41

I'm getting the [ __ ] out of here. Once again, we have a special edition podcast dropping probably when? Probably when?

  • 59:48

Probably Friday. Thursday, Friday, somewhere in that room. Thursday or Friday. Thursday or Friday. Somewhere

  • 59:54

around there. But we got a special edition podcast, special guest, friend of the show. Uh, so I'm really excited

  • 1:00:00

about that. But I wasn't going to leave you guys just out the dry. Pause. Yeah. I mean, is this sh I got to pause

  • 1:00:06

everything now. But uh sleepers, we got sleepers cuz I'm the [ __ ] out of here. I'm leaving. I'm

  • 1:00:11

tired. Yeah. I can't imagine how Stephen A. Smith feels talking so much. I'm tired of talking, honestly.

  • 1:00:18

What a sh. Shut the [ __ ] up. Uh I didn't actually think about a sleeper this week. I'll play one. I got one. You got

  • 1:00:25

one? Yeah, I got two. So, I mean, I'll play mine first. All right. Here, let me

  • 1:00:31

pass right to it. This is uh this is Yay Ali. It's called

  • 1:00:36

uh Talk Less from Yay Ali. Oh, no. Can't do that like

  • 1:00:43

that. Hold on. All right. Yay. Ali talk less.

  • 1:01:00

Girl, you got that luchi. And I cannot leave without you. I bet

  • 1:01:06

you taste like thousand island. I bet you get that from your mind. Hey girl,

  • 1:01:11

I'm not the one to play with. I just want to hear you say your lips are quiet. Nobody's having

  • 1:01:20

[Music] conversations. Nobody say yes to me.

  • 1:01:29

I want to see you do

  • 1:01:35

more. Say yes to me. Want to see you

  • 1:01:41

[Music] do. Your body say yes to me.

  • 1:01:50

I want to see it twice for me. [Music]

  • 1:01:56

Say yes to me. Want to see

  • 1:02:04

me? Do you want to know some? You must hear my old phone. Got that three.

  • 1:02:12

It's hard. Old flames. New city, new adventure. Got a

  • 1:02:18

stun on you. Could have done it with you. The distance got you tripping. Good

  • 1:02:23

dick and good love. Couldn't fix [Music] it. Your body.

  • 1:02:30

    [Music]

  • 1:02:36

What's the name of this? Yeah. Ali. Talk less. Man, that [ __ ] is hard. Yeah, this

  • 1:02:44

might have to get a run at the pool party. [Music]

  • 1:02:49

    Classic record. Yeah, 100%.

  • 1:02:56

    [Music] [Applause]

  • 1:03:03

    [Music]

  • 1:03:09

That's Yay Ali. Talk less. Y Ali, I see you, boy. I'm definitely gonna support

  • 1:03:15

that person and buy it, not stream it. So, yo, when we did the uh Everyday

  • 1:03:21

Struggle [ __ ] and I took our list that we compiled uh for the R&B [ __ ] of course, it brought back everybody

  • 1:03:27

getting excited about the R&B [ __ ] Uh so, I'm telling you gentlemen, I do think somehow I think we should do I do

  • 1:03:33

think we should do the R&B bracket [ __ ] right? But where we got [ __ ] up last time is we love music so much, so we

  • 1:03:40

included so many albums. We should break it up by decade. That sounds even more complicated

  • 1:03:45

though. How many brackets would it be? Every 10 years. We should do the the the 80s uh or or we do started 90s 90s 2000s

  • 1:03:54

now. And now or we could do the 90s in one and do the uh 2000s till now all

  • 1:04:02

together. Yeah, that's easier cuz I mean really come on. You can't be putting Tony Braxton

  • 1:04:07

against Bryson and like Yeah, that was just chaos. Yeah, that's not fair. Uh,

  • 1:04:12

do you do you do you have your sleeper? I do. I actually really wasn't prepared. I'm dead playing to listen to on the way

  • 1:04:18

over here. All right, so I will play this. Uh, this kid's name, I think, is

  • 1:04:24

Gashi, but he spells it with a number four. So, it's G4

  • 1:04:31

SI. And I ain't going to lie, I've been kind of blasting this kid [ __ ] kind of

  • 1:04:37

heavy like all Memorial Day weekend. Damn hype beast stealing my story too. That's wild. Is that your story?

  • 1:04:48

This is called Rose Gold by Goshi. He's got a real dope EP out there, too. It's

  • 1:04:54

not new, but it's real dope. If you never heard of him, [ __ ] with [Music]

  • 1:05:03

it. And this [ __ ] hard, so I'm let this whole thing rock. And I might remix this

  • 1:05:11

[ __ ] singing no SLV. You know I'm riding with my bros.

  • 1:05:17

Quick to let it go. Pay on my taxes. I never pay VS. I always got to get it.

  • 1:05:26

Never finish. I talk too much. Yeah. I don't never listen. I'm ducking. I'm

  • 1:05:32

ducking these heads. You heard what I said. I'm chasing this bread. I'm feeling so stressed, but it could be

  • 1:05:38

worse. So I should feel blessed. It could be

  • 1:05:43

worse. And I'mma get everything I deserve. Sick of seeing mama cry. I hope

  • 1:05:50

that one day mama seen that I try. I hope I make it before my parents

  • 1:05:57

die. I hope they see that I ain't playing enough. Cuz if you test me, I'm letting

  • 1:06:04

it go. I'm letting it fly. You can tell it about it. Look in my eyes. Lord, you

  • 1:06:11

can take my soul if I tell this [ __ ] get up my dick and she going to ride. I

  • 1:06:19

wanted big face rolls going roll it. Never needed no friends cuz I know you

  • 1:06:24

was phony and my rap supreme and my babe looking and you mad cuz you know you

  • 1:06:32

can't control me. Yeah, I wanted the big face

  • 1:06:37

rolling. Never needed no friends cuz I know you was phony and my rap supreme and my f

  • 1:06:45

looking and you mad cuz you know you can't control me control me.

  • 1:07:03

Take a second. You know what I mean? Shout out my brother Trey back. Yeah. They ain't rooting for me. They

  • 1:07:10

ain't clapping for me. They ain't happy for me. But I'm happy. But we made it. I graduated. I

  • 1:07:19

    ain't no [ __ ] [ __ ] on the banana boat. And you hating. I hope it's not

  • 1:07:24

that same boat. That boat is nasty. [ __ ] got herpes.

  • 1:07:34

exposure. I know they do be a lot of them with her on the boat

  • 1:07:39

[Music] and white bathing suits. Y'all nasty. I wouldn't ever wear white if I had

  • 1:07:44

    [Music] herpes. Oh yeah.

  • 1:07:53

Chris be ready to go by the second sleeper. He can't even hear [ __ ] So he's just sitting inside. Oh, I got you. All

  • 1:08:04

right, Goshi, you ain't [ __ ] [ __ ] send the bag over. You ain't getting all this air time, [ __ ] This song like getting the MeUndies uh air time. Yeah.

  • 1:08:10

Yeah. No, you're not getting the MeUndies uh swag. But that's Gotchi. This song is called Rose Gold. Remember

  • 1:08:15

where you heard it first or remember if you heard it here first or just heard it.

  • 1:08:24

All right, Rory, give us some classic barefoot music to get out of here. I need I came unprepared.

  • 1:08:30

Oh, that means some fire is coming. This is Arlam R. I think I'm pronouncing. Cut

  • 1:08:35

this [ __ ] All right. You did a press run. I know you found a new artist somewhere.

  • 1:08:41

Yeah. I'm about to bring him to Berg and make him a star. Berg better. Say

  • 1:08:47

that. Couldn't tell. I couldn't show. I want to say it's natural. We did it to

  • 1:08:54

avoid the ending. I won't take it personal. And it will be fine if we take

  • 1:08:59

it slow. Want to make it actual. And never mind the

  • 1:09:04

    consequences. I'm close and I'm burning. I don't

  • 1:09:10

care. Take me there. You're the do. You're the

  • 1:09:17

journey. I want to go. I'm not calling no girl the journey. I know. How do you

  • 1:09:24

feel tonight? It's hard to be honest. Be

  • 1:09:31

    honest. How do you feel

  • 1:09:36

tonight? Be honest. I try to force her to tell her tell you how she feels. This

  • 1:09:41

    thing is crazy [ __ ] When I'm with you, I say what I'm

  • 1:09:46

supposed to. You divulging a lot to not know how she feels. I don't know what

  • 1:09:52

you're feels like. He getting too

  • 1:09:59

sentimental. I don't want to feel like this [ __ ] making them all feel

  • 1:10:05

something out of me. Yeah. You think about her? No.

  • 1:10:13

There's no She's not the journey. Can I know

  • 1:10:19

Journey to the store tonight? Be honest.

  • 1:10:28

Rory, turn it down. You can't even You got to comment somebody if this is on. Like, what are you

  • 1:10:34

doing? Rory's definitely shooting a few clubs up. When you want her to be honest about how she feels, what if you don't like the answer? That [ __ ] up the whole

  • 1:10:40

night. That's going to make the record skip. That [ __ ] up the whole record.

  • 1:10:45

Cuz as soon as you ask a chick how she feel, she want stone on you with her feelings. Yeah. Yeah. I ain't got time

  • 1:10:51

for that [ __ ] How do you feel tonight? I feel like we shouldn't be sitting in this call this time like Yeah. Get the [ __ ] out of here. Damn. I thought we was

  • 1:10:57

doing something dope. [ __ ] you know what I'm saying? Like when you think you doing something dope and then

  • 1:11:02

you ask her like, "Yo, so you enjoying yourself?" And she be like, "No." Well, this [ __ ] sitting there talking about, "I thought it was real between us."

  • 1:11:07

[ __ ] how you thought that? She didn't said a word, man. I don't know what the [ __ ] is going on out

  • 1:11:13

here. Uh, listen. Be safe out there. Be careful if you're going to the festivals. Have a blast. Uh, and yeah,

  • 1:11:20

that was my positive ending. My name is Maul. Just want to get that clear.

  • 1:11:27

You got it. Yeah. All right, we
