hey [Music] finally I mean I got a lot of hits and

  • 0:09

ain't really a lot of sleepers need a producer you know what I'm saying that's why I'm trying to think Burg is too

  • 0:14

arrogant for our sleeper section you about to call my [ __ ] a

  • 0:20

sleeper I don't know man like your word all right so we could for just for this

  • 0:25

one episode I'll I'll cater into your arrogance yeah that's what this is about because part of this part of the reason

  • 0:31

I like Berg I like [ __ ] that are arrogant that can support their arrogance Kobe yeah Mike right uh it's

  • 0:40

some more people I can think of Kevin Hart he hasn't let y'all know he's arrogant yet but he is no but that's

  • 0:48

what this is for man the the people need this side of formerly known as bird all right hold

  • 0:54

up let me pull up my other record I'm not calling him Berg no more I'm never call oh yeah well I call him Berg CU

  • 1:00

that's how I know him what should I call him the [ __ ] hit maker yeah n really N I can't call him the hit maker every

  • 1:06

time I address him and it's a hit maker not ER yeah it's a a at the end the E

  • 1:12

ISAC we call him B cuz it's a personal thing but the world you know what's funny he might oh

  • 1:18

no we have to start n we got we got to start n wait no no no no that's why this is so

  • 1:27

great just because by mistake you just start getting [ __ ] oh

  • 1:33

man let me not forget that point

  • 1:38

    oh let me just get my [ __ ] queued up right quick cuz I love this song I don't give a [ __ ] what you [ __ ] say I done

  • 1:44

ate plenty of [ __ ] to this song oh wow all right Mike Mike hey Pat where you

  • 1:52

[Music] at so you have not been recording all this great

  • 1:57

content oh so you have been recording all this great content all right and now that I know

  • 2:03

you're recording let me do my little uh narcissistic

  • 2:08

drop all right how is everyone feeling salutations to all of the gentlemen in

  • 2:14

the room I want to say salute to my YouTube viewership and uh my good guy

  • 2:19

Chris back there commanding that ship uh got my trusty co-host here Maul to my

  • 2:25

left uh Rory Lanes to my right uh K Irish McNasty and we have a very special

  • 2:33

guest today a very very I guess anytime we have a guest that's special to me cuz

  • 2:38

I hate so many people they're handpicked yeah it's not it's not a yo really a lot

  • 2:44

of a lot of scrutiny and a lot of discretion really goes into uh how we

  • 2:52

how we go about these guests I don't even know how that came to be this happened very organically I will say

  • 2:58

that this wasn't well let me tell you how this happened and please don't say a word just yet let

  • 3:04

me tell you how this happened even even even though if you're on YouTube you can clearly see who's sitting here but for

  • 3:09

the people that are listening well for the people that are listening right and I mean if you're looking at him he kind

  • 3:15

of do look like a old new [ __ ] he don't look like the same exact [ __ ] he dresses better his glow is different

  • 3:21

he's glowed up yeah yeah he's glowed up he's glowed up a bit but so this gentleman this gentleman and I

  • 3:28

have had some uh DM interaction which is very rare for me cuz I don't speak to

  • 3:34

men in DMS yeah I don't even really open my DMs right cuz you just get in trouble

  • 3:41

anytime you even look at one your girl is riing why you look at that [ __ ] some [ __ ] so so I try to stay away from that

  • 3:47

but so I've had some interaction with this gentleman in my DMs right but in my

  • 3:53

professional uh Journey where I am there really no need for me to have extended

  • 3:59

conversation with this gentleman I'm trying to retire I'm trying to not make music uh I'm trying to live a nice

  • 4:06

sturdy faithful firm good life here and all that I know about this gentleman just reeks of Havoc mhm just reeks of

  • 4:13

trouble right right so I had the group chat cuz you just hit the group chat

  • 4:18

    with [ __ ] I say yo me and [ __ ] Berg have been kicking it right just CU that's a

  • 4:24

punchline you shouldn't have even I shouldn't have even said the name but I that's what I said in my group chat and

  • 4:29

then Maul says get the [ __ ] out of here I said oh no you got you got ber

  • 4:35

[ __ ] up mul and then somebody supported me ammani then ammani said yeah M you got Berg [ __ ] up no but

  • 4:43

let's be clear it wasn't about musically yeah no no not musically

  • 4:48

yes and I think that's why this is such a great this is that's why this is so great uh B cuz I don't think many people

  • 4:56

know how great you are okay yeah and I and I I you know maybe in La yeah in

  • 5:02

your mix I'm certain that they know how great your talent is that was a really

  • 5:08

shitty intro there was no drop no man what you want all right hold up man hold

  • 5:13

up all right let's give him we kind of went from give me 20 minutes that's not the drop I was talking

  • 5:19

about ladies and gentlemen with no further Ado even with no Ado at all

  • 5:26

Actually I don't even like the word ado who uses the word a

  • 5:32

do why do they try to drill us with that in school I know with no further is there another word synonymous with that

  • 5:38

with no further hesitation that's trash all right with no further without waiting all right with no further Ado I

  • 5:45

have the legendary hit maker hit maker see I don't like it without the the r i I'm

  • 5:52

good without the r hitmaker and I don't I don't even but you have an accent so that sounds cool when you say it it's

  • 5:57

like hitmaker I don't even know how it happened drop sounds great I'm talking about me as a about to be 37y old man

  • 6:05

saying hit maker call me hit that's say hit no that's crazy too not really I got

  • 6:11

in trouble that for that hit thing it became a drop I was about to say something just now it could have became a drop I'm glad I walked away from that

  • 6:18

one because you can't call another [ __ ] hit it's just things you can't do mean I mean well now that we got a personal

  • 6:24

relationship you call me bird whatever we'll think of something for me to call you but listen pause yeah pause

  • 6:34

guys I got to protect myself from the drop that I create no that wasn't crazy that was but listen to this that's

  • 6:40

number one and number two ber anybody that has ever had and you

  • 6:45

the you're the exception not the rule anybody that has ever had hit maker in their name never had

  • 6:51

hits they got like two hits tell me and Remo's my guy Remo's my guy but

  • 6:57

how many hits does Remo have oh you gonna get [ __ ] no Remo is my

  • 7:03

    [ __ ] I love Remo but I'm saying there's another [ __ ] out there there I've seen at least seven hit maker [ __ ] in the

  • 7:09

past 20 years MH and I don't think many of them have hits well not as many as

  • 7:14

ber yeah let's be clear Berg definitely can wear that name 100% how did that happen I think that

  • 7:23

you know the real [ __ ] is that like once I was going through like back in the day like I was trying to figure out how I

  • 7:28

would go from being Berg to another person you know what I'm saying because music is all I've been doing my whole

  • 7:35

life it's not like I've had like well I told y'all a little bit but my backstory is a little different like my parents

  • 7:41

always came up and I always had bread and like they never wanted me to do music and they always wanted me to be

  • 7:46

like the kid 16 with a Range Rover so I decided to go like like the Asian kids yeah I decided to go and be like um go

  • 7:53

sell crack and like you know what I'm saying cuz this is back in the day when like you had to be true to self like no no pun intended with the Bryson um shout

  • 8:00

out to Bryson but like you had to be really about that you know what I'm saying so I went with LEP they're now

  • 8:06

known as Le infed used to be that name back in the day and I was like their Flagship artist and I was like 14 years

  • 8:12

old and like I was selling crack and like doing defiant things just because I didn't want to be like a fraud right

  • 8:18

right so within that now being grown like that's the dumbest [ __ ] ever I could have done thought wasn't you know

  • 8:25

what's funny I want to I I want to know how to safeguard against that as a parent because that's the story a lot of times

  • 8:31

where your parents are so able to provide and maybe they're sheltered or some [ __ ] now you just going to do F

  • 8:37

it's a difference though right now because you're in hip-hop and your kid likes hip-hop my mom was like taking me

  • 8:44

to school drinking a cup of coffee like slapping me playing Anita Baker you know what I'm saying and I was listening to something that was totally different

  • 8:50

which I love sleeping on Anita no no I love her for doing that cuz now that you know you know what I'm saying that's

  • 8:56

where the whole R&B the whole vibe comes from with you know know I'm saying but I think that it was it's a disconnect in

  • 9:02

that generation now this generation from 2000 early 90s to where we at right now

  • 9:07

everybody's pretty much in the same pocket like your dad likes Jay-Z like you know what I'm saying like my my dad

  • 9:13

is put on the hip-hop because I was so in love hip hop they were more R&B based you know what I'm saying at that

  • 9:18

time all right that's a good punch P I like that that was sexy that was so sex we can just leave that there like that

  • 9:25

hey we punched just now now a few a few things a few things and a few just for

  • 9:31

some context and some backstory when when sexy uh lady came out right I was

  • 9:37

looking for a hit myself in my career okay right and I like that beat a lot

  • 9:43

really boy that beat was hard those Dr those drums are I think that that beat and that song is criminally slept on

  • 9:50

yeah it is so I need to I need to put my Berg all book bag on there so that's

  • 9:56

that's one I wanted that beat right and that song was kind of dope and then it added insult to injury that a few people

  • 10:02

started to hit me and ask me if that was my record oh right in New York okay anyway in New York I was quiet I had Joe

  • 10:10

Button bars back then like listen they said I was rashed Wallace when I came out man you just got you just got to

  • 10:16

take what you could get at some point right so then there's that then it was the Ray J hit mhm and

  • 10:23

that's still big yeah so all of that is successful right uhhuh what was that sexy Canna was it yeah Sexy Can I lot of

  • 10:30

sexy records man he was real he was ex this is where I want we got we got to

  • 10:36

bring it back so look sexy lady was a record that was created with me my my

  • 10:41

brother Rob holiday you know what I'm saying then a guy named Junior who I attempted to sign back in the day or

  • 10:47

whatever and it was a young [ __ ] the Spanish dude that was singing a hook we literally made that in my that my

  • 10:52

manager at the time like house on a laptop running back and forth I was recording getting doing it there is no

  • 10:59

mix to Sexy Lady it's the two track that we did that night from there I was like a little young [ __ ] and I went to the

  • 11:05

club and I think the club was called privilege in La back at the time and I would going in there with a chinchilla

  • 11:11

fur coat on and like I'm in LA with chinchilla mad stand at a DJ booth and

  • 11:17

perform sexy lady every night and this was the hottest club so shout out to my bro DJ Echo he allowed me to do that he

  • 11:23

still um is a heavy DJ on LA right now and he worked at Power 106 at the time that for Ned me into a mixer meeting my

  • 11:31

my weed man was my manager that I live with shout out to him whatever and um

  • 11:36

from there I had a mixing meeting with Power 106 and I went in there and told my life story and like I cried I ain't

  • 11:42

going to front I cried in it cuz like in in a mixer meeting because like I was like I want to turn on an emotion like I

  • 11:48

went in there thinking that but it was just so real for me at the time and from there my record just went to power

  • 11:54

rotation in LA on Power 106 before I ever had a record deal and that was the birth of sexy lady I didn't have no

  • 12:00

record deal it was the number one record in LA and I was just a little [ __ ] living at my weed man house with a beat

  • 12:06

that was created with the guy cuz you got to mind yourself I was still in high school at the time well I dropped out

  • 12:12

but I was technically should have been I didn't know that either yeah so I told the guy like I I remember um I worked

  • 12:18

with Troy Carter back in the day I had wrote a whole album for this girl named Morgan Smith who was signing inner scope

  • 12:23

and Eve was executive producing her album and Troy was my manager back then we kind of separ at and I was trying to

  • 12:29

find myself and what I needed to do I received a beat CD from a producer that I also had started working with named

  • 12:36

JFK from Virginia the guy Rob holiday is from Virginia he was in high school he

  • 12:42

was like sent me a BCD I'm like these beats is tough and then after that man I was like yo just drop out of high school

  • 12:47

and come do this like come move in my condo with me I don't know this [ __ ] from nothing I never met in my life I told him just come move in with me I

  • 12:54

know what's about to happen I think something's about to be great these beats are amazing week later he was at

  • 13:00

my doorstep and we all lived in the same house together now hence since 2017 he done um three records on Bryson tiller

  • 13:06

album I was able to bring him in on um Nicki Minaj last album he he's under puff you know what I'm saying he met

  • 13:12

puff through me he's been rocking with puff he did a bunch of last train of pair of [ __ ] with me we did a bunch of

  • 13:17

that last train of pair of [ __ ] that was way before ahe of his time and his life is evolved and like I was able to be a

  • 13:22

blessing to his life yo I need all of those joints on The Cutting Room floor of last train in sleep I got I got a

  • 13:30

sleeper I got a sleep singing well pups I got I got to I got that last train of parachute is

  • 13:37

crazy that's underrated underrated album of time but I think that and you just

  • 13:42

you just kind of Maybe by mistake brought me to where where I was going with Maul's reception to my initial

  • 13:49

group chat text because when we when we got in front of you all all we could all

  • 13:57

everybody said was yo my perception of young ber is wrong yeah

  • 14:03

    I I told you T I said I had you [ __ ] up and I apologize I said dog I [ __ ]

  • 14:09

with you I'm I'm mad it took this long but I'm glad I do now like you are

  • 14:14

officially real [ __ ] unfortunately especially over here on this side the uh

  • 14:21

the negativity is what flourishes in the media one of the main reasons that I decided to take a seat in media because

  • 14:27

[ __ ] just slam my [ __ ] artistic name so much with a bunch of [ __ ] that was wrong right so

  • 14:34

now today but the word even back then for industry [ __ ] inside uh such as

  • 14:40

myself was that kid's pen and that kid he's just a different type of talent so

  • 14:46

again with me liking the music I got that information too so it's no shock to me that here we are today and behind the

  • 14:54

scenes and as an executive you shaking this whole [ __ ] up

  • 14:59

yeah your post you might be the post that's a fact yo and I'm not trust

  • 15:05

me I love I would love to hate yeah that's what makes this great I I have an

  • 15:12

affinity for people who can support their arrogance support your drug habits

  • 15:18

whatever you have support it yo your arrogance is supported I don't know how

  • 15:24

you scpt behind the scenes and did tell you how I'mma tell you how okay so um

  • 15:29

I not only me I have a great team you know I've been doing things my myself for a long time and like I started in

  • 15:35

Miami and just like decided like let me tell you the whole evolution of the [ __ ] great team is very important that's not

  • 15:41

highlighted enough in in hip-hop right and in it's business period a great team a great team so from so from the rip I

  • 15:49

remember I was in my DMs on Twitter the same [ __ ] and like I was thinking about it like because I was signed to Epic

  • 15:55

Records and I remember I did a record called outer space like after after the business and after all that and like I

  • 16:01

was making autotune songs and this is before um Kanye put out 808 and heartbreaks I was still on the scream

  • 16:07

tour with like T pay and like I was really picking up don't get crazy though hold up don't get crazy hold up

  • 16:13

now you I ate plenty of [ __ ] this record we can't just casually say the

  • 16:19

business hold up now look defitely B with the Wayne y before Wayne come on

  • 16:26

Wayne might have stole the Y from you start giving nigas hold up

  • 16:33

man fam let's just have a moment of silence and appreciate this I'm an RB

  • 16:39

[ __ ] I don't care about none of them stories this is fire

  • 16:46

still all right right chill that's crazy but all right go ahead so from there I

  • 16:52

had that record that record went platinum and then um from there I put out a record called outer space and and

  • 16:58

um you know E1 kind of like came to me and told me that it wasn't going to work because it was too much autotune it

  • 17:05

wasn't into um artist singing their whole songs auto tune this is in 2008 good old you won way a Strayer creative

  • 17:12

away from an idea you won I was kind of taken back they good for that they are good for that and then from there like

  • 17:18

not to mention this was the real [ __ ] um Charlie Walker got fired from Epic Records Charlie walk was the guy that signed me the Epic Records I'll

  • 17:24

never forget Charlie walk and like he's he's my guy like man I walked into the office and like as the sexy story goes

  • 17:31

like I had sexy lady I'm like okay this happened organically and then R came to me like yo like I Got This Record you

  • 17:37

know what I'm saying you know you got the sexy lady I got the sexy you know Sexy Can I and he sent me a record with

  • 17:44

um basically him doing four bars uh 16 Bar Gap I say yes to Four Bars 16 Bar

  • 17:51

Gap four another Legend with a different perception is Ray J on a on a songwriter perspective I went in and basically tied

  • 17:58

in the whole record I went and did my rap part I went and did like put his part there put put his part there and

  • 18:03

I'll never forget when we were finishing up the song cuz we were in chalice studio in LA and like I was popping at

  • 18:10

the time and he was popping at the time and uh this this ain't snitching or whatever whatever this all ocean so he

  • 18:15

comes into the studio and like um he he like takes his book bag off pulls out like a 9 mimet put it on the desk you

  • 18:22

know what I'm saying I got the girl cashing with me that's that's sing the business or whatever so like he there and it's like friend of the show yeah

  • 18:28

this is like fresh off of the um the [ __ ] uh what the the the Kim

  • 18:34

Kardashian [ __ ] so with that with that being said he was like yo um I don't

  • 18:40

mean no disrespect but uh you mind if I watch this I need this to create so he

  • 18:45

showed us like DVDs of porno like that was Vivid pornos not his or whatever but he wanted to have porno playing while we

  • 18:52

did it this niggaer keeps leading me to my all my next points so I'm like you know me I'm I'm with I'm with a [ __ ]

  • 18:58

I'm Excuse me I'm with a girl you know what I'm saying a young lady he's with yeah he's with a girl you know what I'm

  • 19:04

saying like he was with um TI Mar the time lowkey you know what I'm saying so um he was in the booth going crazy

  • 19:11

singing can I just have [Music] some yo he was trying he was like yo I'm

  • 19:18

just trying to get my you know trying to get my my my my my moment off at the end and I was just like nah like tiar Marie

  • 19:26

was like going in on them and like I remember that definitely and like I'm like damn that's crazy so from there

  • 19:31

fast forward I walk into epic um records here in um New York and like I hated

  • 19:37

sexy Canon like I thought it was mad cheesy you know what I'm saying I'm thinking for me in the trajectory of

  • 19:42

where I want to go like I did sexy lady I thought the business was the ideal second single for me to come with with

  • 19:48

my artist that was signed to me which was still my production it was organically done it was all my [ __ ] I

  • 19:54

own 75% of the business you know what I'm saying so like it was one of them records so from there um so it should

  • 20:02

have been the business yes so from there no no I don't know in hindsight is 2020 cuz I went in there and Charlie walk I'd

  • 20:09

never forget it he was dancing on top of a grand piano to sexy Kenna and he was like this is going to be the biggest

  • 20:15

record of your career and I'm like no it ain't like what you talking about now fast forward 2017 it's probably so eight

  • 20:21

and a half 9 million records is the biggest record in my career it's the biggest single record I put out in my career right so he was right MH I think

  • 20:29

that that's where people lost touch with me because like I was just the sexiest [ __ ] I was about to say you know what

  • 20:34

I'm saying and that right there is a perfect example of how the music industry can be right and wrong at the

  • 20:40

very same time right because yeah that record is may be the biggest record of your career if we're going to talk

  • 20:45

numbers right but for my career it wasn't the biggest record of but

  • 20:50

retroactively looking at the space you're in now M you kind of kind of wish that didn't

  • 20:57

happen at all true this is a whole new [ __ ] let me tell you something the only reason that my perception of you was not

  • 21:04

like that of malls and the rest of the [ __ ] who just don't know it's cuz we have a lot of

  • 21:10

women in common and I mean it's just we just know a lot of the same people

  • 21:16

listen I don't think that gets highlighted enough in this industry too women keep this industry tighten it

  • 21:23

close together man well yeah they start a lot of the beef y' all

  • 21:28

they rob a lot of you [ __ ] women are at the post yeah every 3 years y rotate

  • 21:34

the same n women y'all could change this but you just want to date the same five women every five years I'm I'm I'm out

  • 21:39

of here I'm retired I don't even see other women I'm trying to retire trying I'm trying to I'm trying to just get

  • 21:45

like one they going to have to car level up man level let's let's let's

  • 21:51

slow down you had a nice little stretch yeah where where does Bird go in our

  • 21:57

snip snper list listen as as of last

  • 22:03

week on that he's top three he's top three on my list no

  • 22:09

comment yeah we a you ain't got a comment I'm a comment he's top three unfortunately yeah Berg you're a sniper

  • 22:14

man see but some of you la that some of y'all that work out of there see we

  • 22:20

don't get get y'all on the sniper Raider see radar I only know because I know yeah but you Bobby Valentino was sming

  • 22:28

    for a second there's a few of y'all La [ __ ] I don't know what was in the water or

  • 22:34

Molly right but y'all had some very classic world star moments yeah so I

  • 22:39

    don't see how a [ __ ] canot respect Berg's Gangsta right because I I how

  • 22:45

could you just not it's there it's documented yeah I was kind of like held

  • 22:51

back oh man you know what I'm saying like I couldn't really speak and just be myself

  • 22:56

genuinely well I'm glad speak now yeah why could you do that politics you know

  • 23:01

what I'm saying and just people like guiding your career when you have certain people that's guiding you with maybe you have the certain muzzle on you

  • 23:08

I don't think that people like I think that even like even Love and Hip Hop when I did that like I was being me but

  • 23:16

it was being me due to other circumstances that wasn't really beneficial or or really authentic to me

  • 23:22

being me like right now I'm having a candid conversation with y'all and I'm telling y'all all facts of everything

  • 23:27

but and Hip Hop is a little yeah conted yeah it's it's suede a little bit to and

  • 23:34

I don't and I and I don't want to get into none of that I'm just saying like I'm just speaking on

  • 23:40

that you ain't got to get all right I J Been On Loving Hip Hop and I can speak

  • 23:45

to the fact that some of it is a bit you know what I mean that's people last seen

  • 23:50

like sight of me you know I'm saying on a on a like real scale level you know what I'm saying cuz I've been in a tuck

  • 23:56

so I just say that to let people be clarified like nah that wasn't me 100%

  • 24:02

like it was it was a little bit contr I I used to have to tell people that about me too and then you can never tell

  • 24:07

enough of them cuz you still going to get the flyer that [ __ ] says VH is VH1 Zone yeah Ling hip hop song Jo but

  • 24:16

I'm like whoa wait a second that was not in the contract that was that was a conscious effort when I stopped doing

  • 24:21

like them little walkthroughs like I don't like I like when I stopped doing that and like I really focused on being

  • 24:27

a producer song writer like I didn't do a walk through I didn't I could go get the little weak ass [ __ ] that they going

  • 24:32

to get like you know what I'm saying but what does that mean for my brand like I really wanted to flip my whole story

  • 24:38

like and just take it to another level right when did you start making hits clearly the quality of your

  • 24:45

production somewhere there was a huge jump right and because [ __ ] you're just

  • 24:51

all of it now everything I listen to anyway right see and I catch [ __ ] when it's very early so I'm like checking for

  • 24:58

it and normally yeah you just have your finger on a certain Bop that I really

  • 25:03

like a lot well I think I was one of the first people to start like throwing out their email on Twitter and throwing out

  • 25:09

their stuff so I was able to like sign a few great producers that like in that are still relevant right now like the

  • 25:15

AOS and that's I still work with him he's his own boss now like but I was able to discover him in a very young age

  • 25:21

and just like Rob holiday and like all these different people so the progression kind of came with me just

  • 25:27

really like putting two feet down in the sand like this is what I'm doing you know what I'm saying because there is

  • 25:32

the egotistical part of you that's like damn I just gave somebody a hit maybe what about my song you know what I'm

  • 25:38

saying I had to bury all that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying and say Tunnel Vision on this exactly what I'm doing

  • 25:45

this is there's nothing else that's going to stray away from it and then like I got my crew right now personally right now sound that's my team that I

  • 25:52

work with as well shout out to like all the producers that I work with smash David cardiac um I don't want AO the

  • 25:59

core group I just don't want to um Oz Tech I don't want to forget anybody because they all play a major part in

  • 26:05

what I'm doing right now and I think that a lot of other people that were before me kept people in the dark side

  • 26:11

or whatever and me I'm empowering people and that's what my biggest gift about being in the business is that a Rony

  • 26:17

jerkens disc no not at all that's a anybody disc is that a timling this I

  • 26:23

    anybody has anybody seen [ __ ] oh oh that's [ __ ] up what happened to

  • 26:30

homeboy what was Timberland's dude that was making all them Timlin beats dang he still yeah where is danger say d around

  • 26:38

he had his own what danger doing wasn't he just on Meek's last project I don't know that [ __ ] made he's doing I bet

  • 26:44

his talent level is greater than what the [ __ ] his output is right now that nigga's a monster but he's he also

  • 26:50

pretty rich bro like and I think that that's what the whole like the big deal is like like

  • 26:57

um um maintaining the balance of being extra rich and not cuz I'mma keep it 100 like I hav been an artist like I'm

  • 27:03

working harder than you but I'm working hard on one thing right I'm working hard on making records harder than you like

  • 27:10

when you're the artist you got to travel you got to do interviews you got to do this you got to do that you're working hard making the least and then I'm going

  • 27:17

like and that's why like I might even call this [ __ ] fill in and blank records you know what I'm saying because it's

  • 27:22

like I'm gonna come and deliver you your album when you see me off the rip because I've required such a catalog

  • 27:29

that I could just play you demos all day until you love you love this record this record and we leave with like 10 records

  • 27:34

and that's the whole move which brings me to joavan oh

  • 27:41

[ __ ] the Ellis joanni who I was recently introduced to when we went to the St

  • 27:47

I've spent the whole week in in young Berg's uh studio session and boy do I

  • 27:53

hate that I feel like such a thought cuz that that is a thought move

  • 27:59

though oh my God J did you Tex everyone and tell them you were we DM each other I gave him my math gave your math let me

  • 28:06

showed up at the stew yeah I came up to the stew with a few of my friends came to the stew sat on the couch definitely

  • 28:12

posted a snapper to you used all the vices yeah yeah snap e oh my God now you

  • 28:20

definitely a hoe If stupid I'm embarrassed hey but I always told [ __ ] in in another life you know cuz if I'm

  • 28:27

of the belief that we have to come back as someone else and I'm not going to get that deep cuz Rory's stupid please don't

  • 28:32

but if we are if I'm of that belief and I come back as a woman I body Earth I

  • 28:38

body Earth as an attractive woman you'd be a thot for sure you'd be a jump off yeah some of

  • 28:45

the most successful women yeah no I'm not I'm not knocking it listen they glamorize Marilyn and R do we really

  • 28:50

want to talk about her yeah you right they glamorize Kim Kardashian I won't

  • 28:55

talk about her cuz I love Kanye but I mean they glamorized America a [ __ ] really want to ask me about my

  • 29:03

views on America think you would be Mar Maro Kim you would be a Uptown dond Jo would be a bartender he keep talking I'm

  • 29:09

not [ __ ] for free if I'm a chick a lot of wild know you'd still be just a

  • 29:15

no cuz I think more judges chicks that don't [ __ ] for free but I think he would be of that ilk if he was a chick too I

  • 29:21

    judge chicks off of anything I don't give a [ __ ] that's not about just [ __ ] I judge stop judging people I

  • 29:28

mean we live in a judgmental Society do you want to take back some of your great escort

  • 29:35

moments as he thinks you got to think on the escort moments I have great

  • 29:41

escort relationships I'm definitely trying to um take a bath and holy

  • 29:47

water and get done with all the [ __ ] like for real cuz I just went to the club like recently and like all I seen

  • 29:54

was a bunch of mistakes wait wait wait

  • 29:59

I just seen a bunch of mistakes Jesus how did how did I do that like why did I do that damn I need to Value myself a

  • 30:06

little more see when [ __ ] start talking like that they've been through some [ __ ] with some women let can we let's find out where he is on the sniper

  • 30:12

list I got him top three oh let's oh him and bwow

  • 30:19

oh I got him top three man B you're I need you to try to be objective here I

  • 30:26

will be is on the sniper list sorry bro I will be I will be wait now do you know what

  • 30:33

we mean when we say sniper yeah of course yeah of course you do cuz you're a sniper [ __ ] snipers when snipers know

  • 30:39

when Mar and Rory told me I had to be informed on what the definition was but now that I know all right so bowwow is a

  • 30:46

sniper you won't take that from him no not at all I won't take a lot I won't take

  • 30:51

anything from Little bowwow mhm M he made the distinction that you got a

  • 30:57

problem with musical credit I take from Little B Because De Brat and jera PRI

  • 31:02

wrote all his records and that was my initial initial beef with him when I was like the younger me you know what I'm

  • 31:08

saying that's why I always had like a not really cool Vibe for him because like I was writing my own records when I

  • 31:13

was with DMX and when I was a young buck you know what I'm saying so I kind of was like I felt like he was like um a

  • 31:20

fraud but now that I'm a producer and songwriter I understand 150 million per and I respect what happened I think that

  • 31:27

was the best thing for his career the time right right but go ahead Joe I don't care about none of this [ __ ]

  • 31:33

you talking what is he talking about right now said he had to make it clear I don't care okay don't qualify this I'm

  • 31:40

just I don't want to talk about the sniper list bwow is high on the sniper list he is right that's a fact Berg is

  • 31:46

underrated in Sniper world and probably uh doesn't even want us to talk about

  • 31:51

how great of a sniper he is right not really

  • 31:57

not really not really I mean you know you know political ties involved but go ahead let's talk you know all right no

  • 32:03

fine fine I'm still me so fine fine no go ahead let it go yeah we ain't got to do no names we ain't going to do I mean

  • 32:10

I'm never doing names but this certain [ __ ] and I only mention this Berg because on our podcast there's a few

  • 32:16

[ __ ] who the the public has a false perception of based on the narrative that has been fed yeah Ray J is an

  • 32:23

iconic legend to me sorry that's just it is no no no no Ray J goes down in the

  • 32:29

books of being things I've seen with my two eyes like they they need to pay for

  • 32:34

Korean stepin book for that I I agree Ray J should have a book he needs a book or a movie it's coming don't worry about

  • 32:41

that it's probably come that like he always three steps ahead he told he told me from the jum we when we did When Love

  • 32:47

and Hip Hop first come on it was going to be like five seasons plus I'm like how long you think this sh going to last he like we got at least five six seasons

  • 32:53

M so I don't know he just be seeing [ __ ] I put Berg High because I like people that move low BW we all knew every last

  • 33:01

move he ever made he announced it he talked about it later Berg is high on that list for me because unless you knew

  • 33:07

ber you wouldn't know right that's where it's high for me that's what a sniper is you can't that contrary to public belief

  • 33:13

they would think different because of you being on a platform like VH1 but other than that if you don't know

  • 33:19

anything at that level I never put anything out that was just like super you know what I'm saying like out there out there but those who know know

  • 33:27

yeah I know I that me and his his beef stems from um women as well just like

  • 33:34

every other man in the yeah that's what most [ __ ] beef about is women so that's why it's not really beef why

  • 33:39

    can't it be the thing that most [ __ ] don't beef about because in the industry y' y y'all bumping y you know a lot y

  • 33:46

have a lot of women in common so and and certain [ __ ] pillow talk one out of three [ __ ] pillow I was I was going to

  • 33:52

say two out of three one I might I'm going to I don't like I don't want to talk about men

  • 33:57

like when I'm around another woman like what are we talking about a [ __ ] for I think the the lines are a bit blurry

  • 34:04

here right again like I say snipers recognize snipers I think that men that

  • 34:09

have a lot of uh let's say familiarity with different women from different walks of life know how to conduct

  • 34:16

themselves around one another Fab and I have never had a conversation about anybody that we've ever had in common

  • 34:23

right and to women if if he got a dirty Mech about another man that's his point of reference to try to get to you you

  • 34:29

shouldn't be [ __ ] you stupid yo that's it though y'all just pinpointed it he's the type of dude that does that

  • 34:38

so the women that he dealing with be like I like you more than him because

  • 34:44

like he's trying to throw dirt on your name like the man told Karen stefins that she shouldn't have sex with nobody

  • 34:50

but him and Little Wayne cuz I wasn't famous enough to have sex with her all right now time out now time out wait

  • 34:56

time out time out time out time out time out and Benchmark this this is where I want my teaser Chris right here

  • 35:04

uh Jesus Christ but now I got to shoot my [ __ ] some bail if Karen stefins has

  • 35:12

that like they say a nigga's going to say something n

  • 35:17

man I'm not rolling with that F fck I don't care how good the sex is and

  • 35:24

all that you never supposed to do no [ __ ] like that are you kidding me man name even being brought up trying

  • 35:31

to no man no wait time out now cuz I refuse to have Maul and Rory agree on

  • 35:37

this and y'all are from two different Generations your generation I could accept it from Rory your generation does

  • 35:42

it as a normality talking about me not my generation I'm not talking about you so I don't want to speak for you don't speak for you I'm speaking for

  • 35:48

Generations here I don't care about what any of y'all do publicly and that's way the trick lies B Because with men this

  • 35:54

is my thing with men and this is why I love this topic and this is why I love men the same way that

  • 36:00

    women I don't care I sound sound women right women that's a

  • 36:08

verb women is a language that women understand yeah right so when women say

  • 36:15

things to us this is the one argument that they'll always win in relationships when women say it's women [ __ ] you

  • 36:20

wouldn't understand whatever your logic is you're going to lose you're going to lose nothing you say matters know why

  • 36:25

this is not a air enough for you you [ __ ] man now with men with men women

  • 36:31

don't understand this we have a language too we have words yeah that's what I'm

  • 36:37

saying men move very animalistic like and we communicate without really

  • 36:43

communicating go without being said so when I say I love men I get that that's a cool sound bite cool but I like to

  • 36:50

witness that with that the beauty in that is as men I never know how a man is

  • 36:57

coordinating and operating his business with women guess what it's none of my business that's the game that's the game

  • 37:05

so now you get [ __ ] Who start trying to introduce [ __ ] [ __ ] in the game dirty maing is something that I will never

  • 37:11

approve of I will never and I have no problem with a [ __ ] trying to holl at

  • 37:16

my [ __ ] right just don't use my name don't use my name my name should never come out of anybody's mouth you

  • 37:23

shouldn't even let her know that you know things that yeah yo me

  • 37:29

and not me Mo maybe is and a few other [ __ ] hey [ __ ] is so intricate with

  • 37:35

this [ __ ] will deny knowing their friends if the

  • 37:44

what you know mo I know a lot of M what What mo you do the podcast with no no

  • 37:51

    I've definitely denied not KN I don't know I hate that [ __ ] actually I don't know that [ __ ] I did that last week

  • 37:57

like for sure you have to do that so what you're saying if it's if this is uh proven upon by a jury of Bow's peers in

  • 38:05

the court of law that he conducts himself that way you got to take him to homie Court yeah go ahead it's a little shady Shady sh you would

  • 38:15

you and like I heard Rumblings but Karen so real she didn't tell me everything

  • 38:20

but I know how Korean worked so B must have did something that was crazy and it came to me via TV through her own mouth

  • 38:28

to the world so it ain't like I'm just talking about something that happened behind closed doors this is something that you can YouTube and and see right W

  • 38:35

what did B do to do to Kar ain't no telling ain't no telling like she one of

  • 38:41

them that I wouldn't even like play no play no games with like like like like she cool but like just keep it on her up

  • 38:47

and up just keep moving and I can't tell man I applaud any of y'all [ __ ] that

  • 38:54

are on the Karen stefin list that's said who said I was there I said I who said

  • 38:59

that you were I didn't I said I applaud any of you [ __ ] that are on the

  • 39:04

current step I said nothing about Berg or hit maker or hitmaker I said nothing about that three of them were not list

  • 39:11

trust I didn't read her book so if there's an excert about you I don't know about it but what I'm saying is this I'm scared of women that way yeah I'm too

  • 39:18

paranoid so when women behave in that manner when they want to start writing books and telling my business to the

  • 39:24

next [ __ ] they [ __ ] no you ain't going start talking about on my left nut testicle with the

  • 39:31

next [ __ ] no she do a lot of talking I'm scared wom talk lot she come from the ER you had to write a book they

  • 39:37

could go on their phone right now and type that [ __ ] they don't need a book worse

  • 39:42

SC it's it's worse right now these [ __ ] need a phone plate y like if you do something crazy like you walk out

  • 39:47

here and do something crazy it could reach the news in less than like 3 minutes yeah I don't even care about the news I care about the shade

  • 39:55

room yeah don't end up on shade room the shade room will alter your whole day

  • 40:01

yeah definitely 100 it'll be that too it'll be that too which is why I conduct myself in a manner that is appropriate

  • 40:07

at all times because I'm way too Paran I'm just too paranoid I can't give

  • 40:12

somebody that type of yikes yeah yikes it's a Scary World out here so you're at

  • 40:17

Atlantic now or is that a secret I'm I'm around oh we not telling people that all right

  • 40:22

Bergs not at Atlantic nah I don't know listen I'm just I'm just

  • 40:28

talking sh we can edit any of this nah just I'm just um I'm I'm working I'm working I would like to say that b we

  • 40:34

make fun of that line here I'm working but you really know I'm you can't make fun of the line

  • 40:40

that's why all of that is valid because he is really yeah but that might be the reason that the [ __ ] have started

  • 40:46

saying they working so I have to condemn him along with his Affiliates along with the [ __ ] [ __ ] that he's birth

  • 40:52

he's really working all right so so so okay I'm working I'm EX

  • 40:58

where we at from there where we at from there because I'm a I'm a fan I'm a fan

  • 41:03

of this podcast so I to know where we at from now yo Berg is so great d i Berg is

  • 41:08

so [ __ ] great I [ __ ] with him now that you're an executive you have any interest in being an artist again of

  • 41:13

course not I mean just as young of course of course not why shouldn't why

  • 41:19

shouldn't you at the amount of front and back ends that are coming in currently at this moment I feel like I'm on like a

  • 41:25

tour what happens if you make a record that y'all need to Google this [ __ ] man he talking that [ __ ] because listen to

  • 41:31

me the only reason that I have not said to you because a lot of people AR aware hey can you just list some accolades is

  • 41:38

because I just think that's a whack corny [ __ ] cliche question Google it yeah it happen so quickly that this on

  • 41:45

this on that song it looks like I'm just on some Kevin Durant and it ain't a rant a lot of people don't know that you

  • 41:51

wrote the hook for bounce back SE yeah I co-wrote it with jeremi

  • 41:57

co-produced it with smash David shout out to smash David now Jeremiah is Berg's

  • 42:03

man thinks there's some type of uh that I have some type of rewind jeremi the hook is co-written by Jeremiah myself

  • 42:12

and Big Sean definitely you know when you get a demo he going take nothing away from Big that

  • 42:18

was that was clear that up we're just saying ber played a part in the creation of it that's all we're saying here uh

  • 42:24

don't try to Vlad TV sound here I'mma [ __ ] you up Vlad every time I say your name on my podcast I got to remember to

  • 42:31

let you know I'mma [ __ ] you up when I see you I got my list is growing the older I get and the angrier I get my list of [ __ ] I'mma [ __ ] up when I see

  • 42:37

it's growing now back to this what what were we saying here oh um bounce back you were saying M did you have a point

  • 42:44

you were getting into with that no I just I'm just sitting here thinking about all the [ __ ] that he's done musically that people might not have any

  • 42:49

idea about and it's just like when he just said why would I want to be artist if you seen the front ends and back ends

  • 42:54

that was coming in that's just fly [ __ ] that he can talk now because I mean look like like this is just factual information like billboard puts out this

  • 43:01

list of um Hot 100 producers I'm Number 10 of the the the top producers in the Hot 100 right now like that's just what

  • 43:08

it is like I just looked in academics your your your co-host that guy he put out um [ __ ] um the the top streaming

  • 43:15

songs right now currently and um I think bounce back is number like eight with like 175 million streams this year

  • 43:23

that's wild what you did what numers is impecable you something

  • 43:29

on Kevin har [ __ ] n not at all but this is what it says on your your thing don't all music credits are you on Wikipedia

  • 43:36

are you making my you know you know I'm extra low with my [ __ ] but like I'll tell y'all everything that we doing so

  • 43:42

um like that was my first um number one this year bounce back yeah shout out to smash David and like the creation of

  • 43:48

that was really crazy because like when um I was doing something trying to make myself more more like just just put

  • 43:56

myself in a different level and like I remember I was getting a little money and like I was getting like and I've always had money because my father you

  • 44:04

know what I'm saying and just things of that nature I've had good people watch my money and watch my business so from

  • 44:09

there I've all so I decided to move into a like a 15,000 square foot house and

  • 44:15

just by myself like on some real like egotistical [ __ ] dumb [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like I moved into a

  • 44:21

15,000 ft house by myself didn't have all the furniture that I needed you know and didn't have the time it was either

  • 44:28

like I was going to put time into building a house or I was going to put time into like I did at least to own two

  • 44:34

so I was thinking like maybe I'll keep it you know what I'm saying I set up a studio um with the laptop a Mike and

  • 44:41

Apollo and um Jeremiah came over my crib at this point me and Jeremiah have been cultivating our relationship we've had

  • 44:46

mad records together you know what I'm saying and I just moved in the crib he was excited for me as well we did bounce

  • 44:52

back I think of you and htown a record I played for you guys and the same sitting in with in he was in my CL in

  • 45:00

the closet pause with like no Booth set up you know what I'm saying and just like on a laptop like how you guys got

  • 45:05

set up that's why I don't like that you think I have a beef with Jeremiah because that nigga's Talent is through

  • 45:11

the through the [ __ ] moon I I can't say enough about now now we had that

  • 45:16

little she don't put it down friction mhm that I don't and that was just all Mis can we clarify that because I spoke

  • 45:22

to him um earlier I want to get some clarity on that just while we here well again let me be clear I've never spoken

  • 45:28

to him about this so I don't know I don't know I don't know his side of it

  • 45:33

but on my side I just I just always fall on the side of music so when when tank

  • 45:40

and I create this record and then you bring it to the label I hate labels anyway and the label says yo tank is a

  • 45:47

old [ __ ] let's try to put somebody Young on it and then I say all right I have no idea y'all do what y'all want with that

  • 45:52

so then they send it to Jeremiah Jeremiah does indeed take take the time to and which is great A solid I

  • 45:58

appreciate it he took the time to do it uh he wrote something he sent it back I was loyal to uh to tank and and what he

  • 46:05

had written in the record that I had married to Jeremiah what I'm told is Jeremiah's beef with me was that I could

  • 46:12

have contacted him or tank or somebody could have contacted him to let him know on my end I never spoke to Jeremiah

  • 46:19

about any of this in the first place I never had a part in trying to change this record right so why would I be the

  • 46:25

person to reach out and say hey I'm going to do this different way so Jeremiah's beef is yo I heard it on I hear it on the radio and that's how I

  • 46:31

find out now I agree with that this is all hearet MH you know how that go though now me and you sitting here and

  • 46:39

all of us I think as cuz I I feel like Rory is going to be working at some record company very soon Rory comes from

  • 46:45

[ __ ] bum ass la re's music which is why he stupid all that I feel like Maul

  • 46:51

is going to be Consulting somebody's company very soon and I think that you you're going to be in the office at some point because as much as you hate record

  • 46:58

companies whether we like it or not they're not going anywhere right they are no no no they're going to they're

  • 47:04

going to exist yes they are no no no I can argue that no because you want to know why everybody isn't as fortunate to

  • 47:11

wait for money M everybody wants money so as long as you have somebody with capital that's able to give you capital

  • 47:18

for whatever you can negotiate or whatever you feel like is fair for you it's always going to exist I think all

  • 47:24

the music people will always have a job yeah I'm not going to say that that

  • 47:29

Medium will always be record labeled back to skirt back to what I was saying [ __ ] Get Lost in Translation bro like

  • 47:36

the same way that you said that you didn't know or he didn't know or whatever I could definitely see my brother Jay being like yo I feel some

  • 47:43

kind of way because it might have been presented to him which every feature is presented to him even when I present a

  • 47:49

feature to him like yo I need you on this this is what I'm going to pay you this is what I'm going to do granted

  • 47:55

this was you years ago and this might not be where he is in his career right now to where to get that type of seniority to where it is right now in

  • 48:02

2017 but you know it got lost in translation and that's how the [ __ ] begins with every artist with every

  • 48:08

person I always understand that's because that's anrs and middle people that don't see and that's what's the difference with me being an executive

  • 48:14

like my general income is not based upon them paying me you know what I'm saying I'm making money regardless so when I go

  • 48:21

into the building I'm going to say my mind and put my opinion down for culture for what I feel if I don't think it's a

  • 48:28

hit record I don't think it's a hit record now I'm not the end all be all I report to one person Craig shout out to

  • 48:34

Julie shout out to Craig and Julie I love them both both were very very

  • 48:39

critical and imperative as far as my career went for their ties to Death Jam and they roll To Death Jam we won't

  • 48:44

leave him out shout out to Kaiser cuz cuz I rememberer is my guy come on like I he's in that I seen a whole game do a

  • 48:50

whole 360 like I was 15 sign a Death Jam like it's you still a piece of [ __ ] but are let's go ahead but what I'm saying

  • 48:57

is you [ __ ] gets Lost in Translation bro no I agree I agree so and because I know that like I'm not new to this game that

  • 49:04

happens so when they have the little whatever they had a function it was some type of award ceremony it was a all black ceremony he was there I was there

  • 49:10

was a few people there when I saw him I think that was all we said about it was yo that was nothing I nodded my head I

  • 49:18

shook his hand I'm a Jeremiah fan yo I played a bunch of Jeremiah [ __ ] you definitely like we might bring you back

  • 49:26

because B we might bring Joe back to the rap this is the only reason that Maul is

  • 49:32

my friend right now what you're saying right now the only reason the only reason Maul is my friend is because how

  • 49:39

I intend to come off sometimes and how I come off is very different so I need mul

  • 49:45

to just tap me and tell me when like this I'm a huge Jeremiah fan I like to get a lot and you disrespected him a

  • 49:51

little bit because y'all sat here on this podcast and said that the man didn't have hits nobody ever said that

  • 49:58

you got to find that nobody said that you got to find that sales excuse me sales I think you said that on um

  • 50:05

everyday struggle he don't have Sal what are you talking about his last Alum [ __ ] at his last album is approaching

  • 50:12

Platinum every single he's dropped off his last album has went go to platinum I don't know what you mean and he's four

  • 50:17

singles deep what does that mean to you that sounds like a [ __ ] Bruno Mars album to me damn there okay so I get

  • 50:25

    what you're saying I I hear you you're right even though you don't know it's the same it's the same [ __ ] you're

  • 50:31

saying about me people don't knowre you are correct you are correct here is where my Jeremiah argument lies and this

  • 50:39

is objective I would say it to him if he were in front of me let me be very clear some to the people that are new to Media

  • 50:45

Joe Buton anything I say here I'm saying to somebody's face so and this is not a knock and this is the same thing I say

  • 50:52

that's keeping big Shawn back from being held with the Kendricks and the DRS and the CO's right I don't feel Jeremiah

  • 51:00

okay go ahead has a body of work I don't feel like he's developed a

  • 51:07

a good enough credit report with his bodies of work to where he's looked at

  • 51:12

as someone where we are anticipating his albums we're always anticipating his

  • 51:19

singles he's going to hit it out the park here's wait do you disagree with that I I I I'm I'm half and half this is

  • 51:27

where I think it is Jeremiah is so music promotion heavy and he makes Urban and

  • 51:33

rhythmic music he doesn't go the he hasn't had the cosign of a um weekend or

  • 51:40

somebody that doesn't make them as Visual and as interview Savvy as whatever you can count you can't even

  • 51:46

Google and find a Jeremiah interview he's leaned and stood directly on music you already he doesn't have as many

  • 51:52

visuals so he he's one of those people that if he made a pop top 10 like a weekend

  • 51:58

or maybe had the the the cosign of something like that then you would understand it and that's what's finessing who whoa let's put that on

  • 52:05

Jeremiah too because he had that pocket where he hopped on all of the [ __ ] do

  • 52:11

you know the drums that are popping now the old Caribbean he had that pocket where he did that and I don't know I

  • 52:18

don't know if people were so receiving of that Jeremiah the way they are to all of these other artists jacking that

  • 52:24

Caribbean I think that played a part in just how some casual fans May view him as well I'm not speaking about me but

  • 52:30

these are takes that people have on I'm sure he's heard these criticism um see my thing is with Jay is that for a

  • 52:37

casual fan you have to be in like they're just into his casual fans should be able to

  • 52:43

criticize a superstar is somebody like me personally I think that if if if you

  • 52:49

know you have to do interviews you have to do this you know what I'm saying they do that you know what I'm saying the whole introvert yeah I I think think

  • 52:55

that he does he's he's more musical no not right now okay like if you meet him it's the same effect that you're going

  • 53:01

to get from me I've never met him same exact I mean I have met him but I don't the same as me because like I'm a little

  • 53:07

bit like you I'm saying but but he's definit surprised we two different people but you would be very surprised

  • 53:15

about what's going on at Jeremiah's house or how we're creating these records my next door my old next door

  • 53:22

neighbor star is extremely close to Jeremiah and you know it's so [ __ ] up

  • 53:27

right that we had that whole tank she don't put it down [ __ ] and that I always fall on the side of music because in the future I later then had a record I

  • 53:34

thought Jeremiah would be perfect for right right and then I tried to get to him I said oh [ __ ] my memory is so bad I

  • 53:39

forgot that we even had a beef see like some beefs I just don't even remember like if it's not like give it 100 though

  • 53:46

I when I spoke it's not a beef with him like he doesn't you know what I'm saying I just felt like he was always on some [ __ ] your butt and [ __ ] and I'm used to

  • 53:52

that no no the thing the thing is is that the only he has he has a problem and I can't speak for him but I'm

  • 53:58

speaking on my I'll speak to him eventually no the accolades you can't back away from the fact that he's might

  • 54:03

be the one of the most influential songwriters that's in his in his whole business right now oh well wait so let

  • 54:09

me be very clear in front of the camera everybody listening everywhere he's right y'all are correct

  • 54:16

I know people say I don't know how to admit but I'm wrong but that was more information that you birthed me to and

  • 54:22

you believe that right now so if you look at this excuse me trajectory of what's going to happen between now and

  • 54:28

the next 2 years with the music that I played you where does it go from here only gets bigger it don't get bigger no

  • 54:35

time out time out time out time out time out and I you would be winning this argument if you would be winning your

  • 54:41

point and I would have nothing to say if I were not an introvert myself no no no he he didn't shoot videos for his

  • 54:48

last album um a lot of them ples there's no video don't tell them there's no video a lot of female friends I have

  • 54:55

would love to know why there was no video for no well because there was a video for planes there was a a video

  • 55:01

shot Chris Robinson shot the video and um it just didn't link up the way it was supposed to wait who the [ __ ] is still

  • 55:07

giving Chris Robinson a video bag okay so let's let's leave let's leave that at that it's too much money well it was a

  • 55:14

very expensive video you how much Chris Robinson cost no but look what I'm telling you is that that video was shot

  • 55:20

on the jcole tour jcole was in a video y was in a video all why I wouldn't had

  • 55:26

Chris Robinson shoot they on tour it's already a movie it was shot in Chicago which I loved as well too but it just

  • 55:32

didn't link up you as a as an artist sometimes you understand it sometimes your vision and the director Vision or

  • 55:38

whatever end up happening it just doesn't link up at that point that's what I could speak upon that situation as as as rocking with Jeremiah so if you

  • 55:46

look about what's going on with us collaborating and where he's at in his career I think a you has a visual it's a

  • 55:52

visual with him Big Sean and Chris Brown like that's a that's the the first release that we're doing off of his

  • 55:59

whole thing so there is no like like he's he's in full goo in my op like in

  • 56:04

my opinion Jeremiah I I want to be clear and concise in my message here as we end

  • 56:11

this I'm a huge fan of yours uh I just don't know you like I

  • 56:16

know the other guys I guess I don't know Bryson either Bryson's another one who thinks I hate him well I was going to

  • 56:21

say I think T writing from I think jerem party

  • 56:27

thought I hated him excuse me excuse me yeah he did party thought all these [ __ ] and I love all these [ __ ] okay

  • 56:35

let's do a timeline so if birthday I come off wrong wait if birthday if Birthday Sex came out in 2007 right MH

  • 56:43

then there's a real it's your bir was 10 years ago so it's a real

  • 56:51

distinct that the kids the kids that are singing now because I'm old now you know

  • 56:57

what I'm saying like the kids are singing that this is 13 years old 14

  • 57:02

years old when they're hearing that and that's what they're growing up I don't think that anybody that's relevant right now can honestly say that they're not a

  • 57:09

part of the Chris Brown jeremi um Trey songs of you know what I'm saying like that fruit I don't think

  • 57:15

that's farfetched I don't think that's a far-fetched thing I always thought Bryson kind of got his writing style from from Jeremiah the first time I

  • 57:22

heard trap so I was like this is kind of Jeremiah you know what but now that I know he's an introvert now looking back

  • 57:29

uh on on when these records were put out you could kind of tell it that maybe inor made these records cuz you never

  • 57:35

really knew too much about him then which is probably why it took a little while for the some of these records to

  • 57:41

connect and he's been on so many smashes that now it's like but he's another one

  • 57:46

who okay so all right great so that brings you to the the what I call the Joe Button [ __ ] concept I feel like I

  • 57:53

have mastered this that brings you to if you're an introvert cuz I I know a little bit

  • 57:58

about that mhm how can you ex expect to really Propel your career you're not going to

  • 58:05

do what it takes Jeremiah's not if you're if he is a true introvert because now it all makes sense why so many

  • 58:12

people don't know this amazing story and now why I had to meet you for you to tell me all of these things that he

  • 58:18

wrote cuz he not going to tell us star from the [ __ ] star who I think is legendary from star in Book wild show he

  • 58:23

came here and he said Joe you got to tell young people what you've done they're not going to know if you don't tell them and I said and they stuck with

  • 58:29

me because I'm like that too I'm not I'm not bragado docious I don't just don't want to throw all of my [ __ ] out there

  • 58:34

so if Jeremiah's like that you can't fault me for not knowing how amazing his [ __ ] pen is he got to get out there

  • 58:40

and say that yeah or maybe he doesn't or maybe that's not his perspective or

  • 58:45

maybe he can be like you and throw a pool party and have a big ass house you know what I'm saying care about what

  • 58:51

people think about and and I hate to bring this up because as long as you have the the the um monetary like as

  • 58:56

long as you get the finances certain people don't don't wish to be that now I think that my brother is in a position

  • 59:02

to where it's like it's been overlooked so much and it's kind of like man smashing your face just kind of like how

  • 59:09

um he was on the Drake record it's all about us right now like I was there when him and party created that record but um

  • 59:16

and no no not taking away like cuz Drake did what he did that was him you know what I'm saying but like you know what

  • 59:22

I'm saying but Jeremiah has actual vocals on that record he doesn't have a feature

  • 59:27

credit let me tell you something party who I also feel who I've also never met

  • 59:33

let me be clear who but I also feel like he's a little introverting he find a way pretty clear he find a way to let us

  • 59:39

know he wrote that d song no no he don't no he don't he post it he post he post the demo version he leaked some [ __ ] he

  • 59:46

thank a [ __ ] he find a way to let us know how else do I know that he wrote that [ __ ] shining record oh um um I

  • 59:54

think that anybody in the music business that's in a level that we are whoever the [ __ ] put that out I I don't be

  • 1:00:01

looking for this information when I get it that do you do you like that record shining yes I like that record Berg

  • 1:00:07

thinks I should take a a job at a label it be interesting to see you have to you

  • 1:00:14

hate labels you hate labels like how could you like like you know and you've been

  • 1:00:20

signed to a label go get yourself some health insurance with that saying like you're you're doing a culture disservice if you

  • 1:00:27

don't go inside some building and try and make a difference somewhere you just being selfish which brings me to what I

  • 1:00:34

think is you think I want to be on Memorial Day weekend not Miami on a yacht somewhere or whatever just in a studio stuck in yeah I really do but

  • 1:00:41

fine I was about to say I I 100% think you want to be in the studio some mad cooler you my my

  • 1:00:49

Snapchat Victor crew for real for real that Bear's moving is not a

  • 1:00:55

splash cool out man congrats to Vic on that too man for real yo I want to

  • 1:01:01

congratulate Vic because Vic is our like we love Vic that's my guy but damn it

  • 1:01:06

I'm mad who's quarterbacking over there uh is it the same quarterback they

  • 1:01:11

had all these years hell no oh I don't know anyway we'll talk about sports

  • 1:01:17

who's the next female to blow in the music industry right now in what type of way music why don't you stop being a

  • 1:01:23

pervert yo J what you say Irish

  • 1:01:28

McNasty a way God this is terrible this is terrible somebody please I still have

  • 1:01:34

a l Ru get hold of this [ __ ] so I can make sense of all this no I I just want to know because where is J I want

  • 1:01:40

to know who I should be working with you know who I like you may you you work with everybody but uh drezy I love drezy

  • 1:01:47

love jeriah gave Dre I mean excuse me shout out to stara shout out to Jeremiah

  • 1:01:53

that body record is is a smash that was and shout out to t p cuz it close to um is it close to you or next to you one of

  • 1:01:59

that [ __ ] is amazing mhm that's the one yeah that's a sleep I played it as a I loved it in fact I did like a Instagram

  • 1:02:05

post where I was so happy like to where I like I embarrassed myself and I just deleted it you know what I'm saying it was one of them like I'm I'm Fanning out

  • 1:02:11

too much you know what I'm saying I really know this person like I got to chill out you know I like her a lot I like her a lot all right so let's put

  • 1:02:16

your executive your R&B hat on for a second and try to fix some people

  • 1:02:22

mhm come on let's try to fix T she hasn't she hasn't been inside the

  • 1:02:28

studio with me yet and that's the only thing that can fix her see where that combo anyone we

  • 1:02:35

name holy [ __ ] that was great you know you know who else I like

  • 1:02:41

too mil J man I like mil j a lot see but I'mma

  • 1:02:47

keep it 100 with you um I don't know where where where um I've reached out

  • 1:02:52

several times you know what I'm saying and and we're Co cool I've worked with her before prior to me being in the position I am right now but I would love

  • 1:02:59

to do it but um I just got to see where it's at right you know right and you

  • 1:03:04

already got does she does she still have a label situation I see her on road I'm not sure honestly so I don't I don't know the ins and outs of that and you

  • 1:03:11

got a record you played for us with seven that's crazy I I was going to say what's up with seven cuz I think seven

  • 1:03:16

is extremely talented yeah and with the Atlantic connection that we're not even speaking about why has her [ __ ] not hit

  • 1:03:22

yet cuz she's super talented she always has a single that could go just never goes she keep getting a shot too yeah

  • 1:03:29

she's talented she had ating shot I think that that just business-wise she's

  • 1:03:35

you know like you know as an artist like you might be switching management you might be switching anrs you might be switching things so the consumers don't

  • 1:03:41

care about that well politically things got caught in Translation and then I was able to come in and make some records

  • 1:03:48

and I'm talking about she's got a like I did I did this record her first single just like DJ palish so look forward to

  • 1:03:56

like three super duper I mean when is the music ever the problem with seven I want to know more about seven I

  • 1:04:04

can't I feel like the knock you talking about from executive or a consumer because I just really you know what I'm

  • 1:04:10

saying both I don't know if you can speak to it because you know her well oh very well I'm I'm I'm talking about the

  • 1:04:16

people who do not know her well and those dots don't seem to connect it seems like all of we don't sex on the

  • 1:04:23

ceiling oh wait sex on the ceiling is [ __ ] uh um thato that one is hard

  • 1:04:28

though that was on sex on the ceiling is on the EP that's an amazing

  • 1:04:33

record I don't believe it I don't believe it I don't think that seven is having sex on the ceiling nor do I think

  • 1:04:40

she wants to have sex on the ceiling and because that is not believable some of those great records that her Talent is

  • 1:04:47

creating I would just like to know more about her she GNA give us a great record every time I just think that certain

  • 1:04:53

people have to um re just readjust you know the same reason I'm able to do a podcast here with you you know what I'm

  • 1:04:59

saying like she's not she's not no you are a mega star my [ __ ] you are a show you should have your own something yo

  • 1:05:07

you are so greater than whatever the greatness is that you're doing that's how amazing you are you should just be

  • 1:05:13

like a Truman Show I won't say that about too many [ __ ] by the way yeah I'm trying to like I was trying to tell

  • 1:05:18

them that we need to create our own TV show but it's coming but I think that seven will be something watch because

  • 1:05:25

she has no choice but to be because she works hard she's doing what she deserves to do and I'm going to make it happen

  • 1:05:31

like that record that we're talking about that we're on this PO it didn't exist two weeks ago it did you know what

  • 1:05:36

I'm saying like it was something that happened and like I was able to tie in every feature like that's on the record

  • 1:05:42

she has a record with three superstars on her record she's coming back out stay

  • 1:05:48

tuned you know I will say and the followup Rory think yo what you think about the followup the the um the uh the

  • 1:05:57

run every record every record y I was about to say all of us I don't know we GNA play but from what I heard I love me

  • 1:06:04

saying it is kind of like giving it giving it away you know what I'm saying but and mind you I didn't bring up seven just cuz of what what you played talking

  • 1:06:11

about came here R&B with two gentlemen one I know the other is pretty built

  • 1:06:18

he's been working out right if not for that I have been trying to figure out

  • 1:06:23

how to Snuff you and take the phone man I don't think I'm alone in

  • 1:06:29

that either I think anybody that hears all the [ __ ] that's in your phone it's fire in that

  • 1:06:36

phone that's not even plugged in by the way wait wait before we get into that there's one

  • 1:06:42

or I want to ask him about we wait we going to wait we going to wait uh Chicago Connection I don't know where she signed ATS alert what you think of

  • 1:06:49

Tink what happened to Tink Tink had such a great first to Tink can I be honest

  • 1:06:54

please um I think she's superent from an executive point and I don't want to offend nobody and me just saying this

  • 1:07:00

but um I think that uh timberin put a lot of pressure on Tink he went out and he said uh making

  • 1:07:07

her cover was tough that was a tough way to that put put the weight of the world

  • 1:07:13

in your shoulder you know what I'm saying so you couldn't really like express your individuality right and she

  • 1:07:18

did a remake after like no he said that at a fatal Fort that well hold on hold

  • 1:07:24

yo Tim I don't I don't know you so don't kill me for this but this is just me being a consumer and executive and watching this so at feder Fort he went

  • 1:07:31

out and he said that um he had a dream and he had a and Aaliyah told him that

  • 1:07:37

this was going to be the next person the next next coming of Aaliyah he said that at fedal for at South by Southwest and

  • 1:07:44

they put out a record that was the one in a million remake and I just think that was a lot of pressure I think that

  • 1:07:50

she's very talented That's Heavy just listening to that is like ah I like that song a lot though I love the one a

  • 1:07:56

million song I think the [ __ ] is hard she did it justice what she could hard hard as come on like what are we what

  • 1:08:03

are we saying like you know what I'm saying like I mean but let's be clear when no no no see and this is my issue

  • 1:08:08

with you Joe like on is it because it's kind of like I I remake like I'm the new track masters so for that situation I

  • 1:08:17

didn't like timbering and you remaking the record again feels a

  • 1:08:22

little remake A Melody or something like that I age I no I'm agreeing with you I

  • 1:08:29

totally agree with you that I like I'm only talking about music right I like that song and how it sounds and that's

  • 1:08:37

it I like the beat I like the the switch I do I totally get that Timberland is not the person that should be putting

  • 1:08:42

that out Timberland's artist is not the person that should be putting that out Timberland is not the person because of his uh aah affiliation he's not the

  • 1:08:48

person that could do any of that Tory Lan maybe can do this you can do this Ty can do a million people you can't be

  • 1:08:55

that's like if puff just put out a a whole bunch of Biggie [ __ ] from somebody like just certain people that cannot do

  • 1:09:00

that but some people would counter that and say they're the only people that can do that no nobody because now they would

  • 1:09:05

have the permission would say that name me one producer and one song writer that's remade their whole their own song

  • 1:09:11

that's been a success yeah oh I'm not suggesting that that's that's what your counter was yes because people like when

  • 1:09:17

Drake was redoing the Aaliyah stuff Tim and had nothing to Aaliyah Tim

  • 1:09:24

was on that and said no one should ever do in anything except for the great Timber like shut the [ __ ] up

  • 1:09:31

man saying that he said that when the movie came out everyone hated it and said Tim said I'm not [ __ ] with it

  • 1:09:37

and everyone went off Tim and Missy because that was their artist and the only person that really H that I don't

  • 1:09:42

give a [ __ ] I fall on the side of the music I fall on the side of the music certain people are invested and have relationships Timberland should be

  • 1:09:49

invested in anything Aaliyah he maybe should feel a way that Drake is remaking this music I don't have a relationship

  • 1:09:54

with Ayah I'm only going on the music I like enough said that's the name of the uh Drake and theah record right I like

  • 1:10:00

that I hated duets with biggy but if puffy wasn't involved with that I would have been even more upset the first Drake and aiyah was the one the um the

  • 1:10:07

one that Jeezy was on to let me know where he that that [ __ ] was crazy great

  • 1:10:13

record yeah but that wasn't promoted and marketed like no no not as a joint

  • 1:10:18

project I feel what you're saying I feel what you're saying yeah this this was an Aaliyah record

  • 1:10:24

yeah yeah that happened you know with is Drake verse [ __ ] happens bro whatever I don't want

  • 1:10:31

to give a [ __ ] I'm saying a lot of people would say only timma Missy could do that because they were the ones that made Aaliyah how about this I don't care

  • 1:10:37

about enough about all of that [ __ ] how about that shout out to everybody that we just named now before we before we got in here I made mention of the fact

  • 1:10:44

that you and Maul match so well and this is my third time seeing you so this is your third day really matching this

  • 1:10:50

great I'm impressed that you even have the we all that it takes to be out of town and still match yeah

  • 1:10:59

yeah hey [ __ ] I match no like I'mma keep it 100 like um ever since

  • 1:11:05

    like I I've I've watched a lot of ogs do [ __ ] I've watched Earth Gotti I've

  • 1:11:10

watched um like I I'll never forget like I'll tell like a real candidate story when I was signed a infrared or LEP or

  • 1:11:18

what people want to call them or whatever they're from Chicago they were a crew or whatever they were I went to LA and um when I met DMX I went to what

  • 1:11:26

these [ __ ] want from a [ __ ] video shoot and how old were you then oh my I got 13 and a half wait a minute wait

  • 1:11:35

wait wait no just shut up smoking no you

  • 1:11:40

can't just casually say certain things these young people don't know the

  • 1:11:46

    greatness of the DMX what these [ __ ] want from a [ __ ] video that's one of

  • 1:11:51

the original videos that [ __ ] started to learn about themselves from that's a

  • 1:11:56

fact that's one of the First videos that [ __ ] paused and rewound yeah that [ __ ] was so crazy um Aaliyah was there I

  • 1:12:04

never forget that and um like I got like on some I'll go there later but um I

  • 1:12:10

went and um I was introduced to X and I went in trailer so he's going to back away from the good story on just give

  • 1:12:17

    wait no I'm at what these [ __ ] want from a [ __ ] video so I get to what these [ __ ] want from a [ __ ] video shoot I'm with the Chicago [ __ ] you

  • 1:12:23

know what I'm saying and shout out to e and rest in peace law and all the people you know what I'm saying and like street

  • 1:12:29

street [ __ ] you know what I'm saying so I go in there and um I see X and like

  • 1:12:35

him and dragon are like one of the biggest like State like we had Paramount Pictures lot you know what I'm saying

  • 1:12:40

like the video was a it was a three-day shoot like it was one of the big boy drinks you know what I'm saying so I'm

  • 1:12:46

there him and dragon and Performing and [ __ ] he gets off stage and he like uh shorty shorty i'm GNA go do this I'm G

  • 1:12:52

see you later and he opened his hand it's a bunch of weed in his hand so I'm like all right he must not think I don't smoke weed like I was like 13 like I've

  • 1:12:59

been smoking weed you know what I'm saying so from there I get on this tour but I mean excuse me the trailer and um

  • 1:13:08

he was like rap like didn't even ask me to play for and I was like uh like I'm from Chicago so I was like I said I

  • 1:13:14

don't know fit with the 10 smoke him y like I went on one of those right he like shorty I don't understand

  • 1:13:22

anything yes yes so he like just just slow it

  • 1:13:29

down for me and I'll never forget this [ __ ] like I'm still like like this [ __ ] is like 15 seven like listen [ __ ] the

  • 1:13:36

law just bubble up and cut the raw and when a Trey coock back at a bus your jaw I'm flooding my wrist sipping on a

  • 1:13:41

bucket the Cris the nuggets the glit same [ __ ] thuck at they [ __ ] all my [ __ ] like and I was talking that talk but

  • 1:13:47

I was like 4 fo4 right you know what I'm saying and that [ __ ] was like yo you're

  • 1:13:52

the next one mhm and from there he like yo I'mma sign you it's not going to be quick but I'mma sign you mhm left there

  • 1:14:01

came back the next day when I get to the [ __ ] they playing my music in the trailer like X's banging my demo you

  • 1:14:07

know what I'm saying like I had Beats from Kanye I had Jesus Walks On My Demo like because my my my co-producer bugs

  • 1:14:15

was close with Kanye and he had all Kanye beats it's not the same song not the same topic but I sang my own song

  • 1:14:22

over Jesus walks so they're playing Jesus Walks In Like My Demo M I'm sitting there I'm smoking a blunt Kevin

  • 1:14:29

LS walk up to me like you ready for your life to change I'm like for sure oh I'm so tired of that bu ass Kevin I'm so

  • 1:14:36

sick of Kevin and from there like literally like we got in a car I never forget this [ __ ] got in a car met the

  • 1:14:44

man was in the front I was in the back seat with Ali X was driving we riding we

  • 1:14:50

    going to a Mary J BL concert I don't know where the [ __ ] it is this [ __ ] is on a 405 ducking every car smoking

  • 1:14:56

drinking like the belly [ __ ] like the same [ __ ] or whatever we get there Ray J Brandy is there and like you know like

  • 1:15:02

the street [ __ ] really felt some kind of way and that's what broke my relationship with the street [ __ ] or whatever like that's when DMX sign me

  • 1:15:09

and made me first artist sign the Death Jam record through bloodline oh that's proba why they

  • 1:15:15

thought that was me that's probably why I thought that was me I didn't even know that that was

  • 1:15:21

Death Jam I heard the whole blood line I was signed I didn't know that that was a Death Jam thing mhm a so now you over

  • 1:15:30

this is making some sense here yeah see this is all the [ __ ] people need to know about them so now you're over at

  • 1:15:36

Atlantic which is really Death Jam yo I want to thank um Craig you know

  • 1:15:44

death Jam's a piece of [ __ ] now it's over over there all right come on Rory defend it I'm not defending it not

  • 1:15:51

    defending anything Rory such a suit b b Rory is such a [ __ ] suit what's going

  • 1:15:56

on in death what's going on in Death Jam I haven't worked over at Death Jam in five [ __ ] years What's happen at Jam

  • 1:16:03

de Jam doesn't know how to develop Talent they only know how to Market Stars it's always been that way logic did everything on his own Big Show did

  • 1:16:09

everything on their own they only know how to do aihan Kanye so why aren't you protesting to be inside the building to be an incubator for some of this Talent

  • 1:16:16

I'm not interested in being at De Jam at all cuz it's there's like five people that yo I come from the era the

  • 1:16:22

    Rockefeller like [ __ ] I like I'm I'm [ __ ] like in a Joe Button podcast and I've smoked

  • 1:16:28

weed with DMX inside de Jam building [ __ ] wherever that address is or whatever the [ __ ] you have some amazing

  • 1:16:34

Stories like we have this is unreal like why don't you want to be an incubator

  • 1:16:39

for that I'm of the belief that artist cuz I know I could make an artist do it on his own he doesn't need a label

  • 1:16:45

understand I know your point was really good that if someone's [ __ ] up and a major label was offering them here's

  • 1:16:51

$100,000 they they going to take it but I'm of the belief that I can make an artist do it without a label cuz I've

  • 1:16:57

been at the labels and I've been at independent Lael so you selfish no I think that's better for the artists no

  • 1:17:03

no in the long run artist you think you got you think you got a better chance than a major record company with the

  • 1:17:08

with the right with the right [ __ ] [ __ ] behind it and the right contract or something like that we ain't talking about no 360 [ __ ]

  • 1:17:14

everybody sign that's a whole different you mean if you if you brought me something that you think that I wouldn't

  • 1:17:20

be able to bring it in not 360 it up and get us a deal for us to make something different happen in culture think you

  • 1:17:25

could because you're of the artist you're not an executive artist and I think that you could do it for other

  • 1:17:31

people just like how you saying I can do it for you I'm with it go on ahead you said something in the studio bur that I

  • 1:17:37

loved you said uh how how life turns around because now you're in a position

  • 1:17:43

like people's lives are in your hands now right as as being an executive like you're the guy that can really make the

  • 1:17:49

call to change somebody's life yeah like that to me was very dope when you said that because I could tell like when you

  • 1:17:55

said it you really didn't even believe it like it it was it was like surreal to you bro like I was offer like a couple

  • 1:18:01

different jobs and like the only reason that I was apprehensive of taking a job

  • 1:18:06

is cuz one I I can't be excl you know what I'm saying like I can't be exclusive I have to work with everybody

  • 1:18:12

cuz I'm for the culture you know what I'm saying like I can't just Mark myself off to a certain group of artists right

  • 1:18:18

to you being an artist and not an executive in that instance which is why I think you'd be different yeah hey he's

  • 1:18:23

so full of [ __ ] I asked this [ __ ] for a beat the other night that [ __ ] dapped me up and sent me on my way I ain't get a beat yet you know listen listen

  • 1:18:31

where's the budget where's the budget see that corporate [ __ ] come out where's the budget you were saying

  • 1:18:38

but what I'm saying is is that I'm in a position to where like I've been an

  • 1:18:43

artist and I've worked with an anr before even as a songwriter and a producer I only know maybe two or three

  • 1:18:51

anrs that's like really about it right that will go fight for you that will go

  • 1:18:56

do this [ __ ] for you like and that's what my whole [ __ ] is like yo I do not

  • 1:19:01

care about you know what I'm saying what's going on like I care to the utmost because I'm trying to take

  • 1:19:07

somebody's job from them I'm trying to move up I'm trying to move my everything I'm trying to progress in you know but I

  • 1:19:13

don't care about the trivial [ __ ] like I want the best music I want the best look

  • 1:19:20

I want a kid like Joan to be her right now mhm so I'm not one of those people

  • 1:19:26

    that's just like yo I won't say this because I don't want to [ __ ] up my job

  • 1:19:32

you know what I'm saying like and this is what is missing from I do think we need more people like that yeah we need

  • 1:19:38

more people that's getting money besides that that need that have more incomes you know what I'm saying because that's

  • 1:19:44

    where the stability come CU I can't blame a [ __ ] 35 36 year old man that

  • 1:19:49

has a wife that has a kids that has a corporate job that has this that and third to even stick their neck out on

  • 1:19:55

the L with somebody they didn't sign that they didn't Catalyst that somebody that J was just handed like [ __ ] if

  • 1:20:01

somebody hand you a project and you got a family [ __ ] you even though you feel some kind of way you not g to be like

  • 1:20:08

stick your [ __ ] Flag in the sand you know I'm saying that so many so many of uh former Def Jam employees echoed those

  • 1:20:15

sentiments or everything that I I say they echoed those sentiments there but again you can't say that when you're

  • 1:20:21

trying to take care of your family I'm just in a position or you want to try to create a position for yourself

  • 1:20:26

where you're able to be afforded that luxury because everybody's not doing that everybody can't do it but

  • 1:20:32

everybody's not a real anr right now and I'm going say that real real real real life yo I'm going say that real in real

  • 1:20:39

life is anr dead yo listen if you're not involved with the records if you're not bringing records if you're not doing

  • 1:20:45

something that's to the to to affect the artist you're not really an anr in my

  • 1:20:51

opinion a lot of [ __ ] is just there it's just titles and I don't know they just there because what you

  • 1:20:59

guys say and like how the whole music industry is now the the artist is the anr so if I

  • 1:21:06

sign you I really don't have to do much but just be with you and be the sure

  • 1:21:12

from this you know what I'm saying like send me the lyrics in let me get the lyrics you know what I'm

  • 1:21:18

saying yeah right it's not about you cultivating a record from start to

  • 1:21:23

finish your an anr don't even really know like who you should get mix your

  • 1:21:28

record to to cater to your record I know that Jason Joshua is supposed to mix

  • 1:21:34

every big record that I think is supposed to go number one all right how you been

  • 1:21:39

Chason how you spell Jason like I think I don't think the an anr is dead it's

  • 1:21:45

just j a y like I think syamore I think Sycamore is an example of what a an anr

  • 1:21:50

is in 2017 syamore is 100% sent somebody that I respect mhm is Sycamore on my

  • 1:21:55

sniper list he might be syamore is undercover out there salute salute to

  • 1:22:00

the undercover snipers but like syamore is amazing Sycamore uh has done a lot he did with Y

  • 1:22:08

I think that was real anr [ __ ] like with My Crazy Life that was that was anr [ __ ]

  • 1:22:14

watch it I worked on like I did a record on mustard um album two years ago with

  • 1:22:19

when Sycamore was working on it with Y nipy Hustle come on I got so many whatever stop listen oh go ahead no

  • 1:22:26

finish that point because I have La question deeper than that I have a record that I feel like is another like I did a record on mustard last album

  • 1:22:32

that Sycamore was around for and all like the don't hurt me record with Jeremiah Nikki and mustard like like

  • 1:22:37

it's just a lot of just different r i see these people I know these people Jay gr Sycamore my dog to it's a lot of

  • 1:22:46

people that's really in it a lot of I don't know I can't speak for everybody but I don't know a lot of people right

  • 1:22:51

you know what I'm saying because I'm in my own my own it sound like you know a lot of people sound like you're in a

  • 1:22:57

diff a lot of different Pockets how how how important are are different writing

  • 1:23:03

collectives in LA because may I don't I don't I'm not familiar with that scene so it sound but it sounds like a bunch

  • 1:23:09

of different people are getting together and creating like jam sessions old Jazz Jam sessions you have that now with

  • 1:23:15

writers and just creators and whoever come up with it you come up with it m what I'm doing right now like me

  • 1:23:21

personally like like I have like I'm I'm creating a new mot toown in La every hot

  • 1:23:27

song writer is in my my room and not to mention like where's your room I write

  • 1:23:32

that down too what's the a no PA [ __ ] that's where all the writers is at n um

  • 1:23:39

we not going to explain that on air but at the end of the day um it's the new Mo

  • 1:23:44

Town MH and I've seen everybody in the like and I've only had this room for two

  • 1:23:50

months I've been able to do seven singles I've been able to do Whiz Khalifa records I've been able to do um

  • 1:23:57

anybody that's in that whole thing like just everybody is in my room with Jeremiah Talis sign like it's it's

  • 1:24:06

ridiculous and it's not even like I'm calling these people to my studio to

  • 1:24:11

work and have a session because I have my own crew I have right now sound I have my own people that I work with I

  • 1:24:16

have Aaron Ray who's also an incredible artist of sign of inner scope I have people that I work with so

  • 1:24:22

it doesn't matter but people are just showing up the same way you came to the studio just to kick it it's more so than

  • 1:24:29

a social club then it's more like all right let's all do records and let's all you know what I'm saying and that's

  • 1:24:35

what's happening in LA right now yeah and nobody's [ __ ] with it and I'm doing it every day except Sunday because

  • 1:24:40

I want to take one day to go like just give thanks but it's important other

  • 1:24:45

than that I'm doing this every day and I think that that's what like Takes Me Away from certain people because I have

  • 1:24:52

a I have a catalog what else is happening on give thanks day don't try to just sound like you just wake up and

  • 1:24:58

give thanks for 12 hours it's one of it don't take long than thinking I mean you know God yo you thanks a lot now the

  • 1:25:06

chef the chef could come you know what I'm saying fried ice cream for for you know what I'm saying Rich [ __ ] [ __ ]

  • 1:25:12

talking that rich swag you start frying ice cream I don't have enough money to I'm [ __ ] up a lot of ice cream before I

  • 1:25:18

figure out how to fry that [ __ ] I'm going to put Pepsi in some ice cream but I'm not going to throw it in frying pan like a burger shout out to my chef

  • 1:25:24

yo for all the fried ice cream you real shout out to the chef that's when you listen man this nigga's got money for a

  • 1:25:30

long time yeah yeah 100% I normally judge the [ __ ] whose families have

  • 1:25:35

money cuz it's like cheat code yeah it's like a scholarship but no really got to

  • 1:25:40

that bag though he got like like Johnny Manzel don't he wasn't going to really care about football he a real though he

  • 1:25:46

just wasn't going to really care about football he ain't real like I'm one of the realists like this is one of the

  • 1:25:51

greatest um in my personal opinion I'm working on I'm not saying it is but this is uh I'm working on creating one of the

  • 1:25:58

greatest stories in in hip-hop and just some music history I believe it I I 100%

  • 1:26:03

believe that and you never see me in a club see me on Joe Button podcast that's where you're going to see me I'm telling

  • 1:26:09

this [ __ ] if you don't come to a pool party if you never been to a pool party

  • 1:26:14

before I'm tell listen we can set up a little workstation if you want to come there and work or read a book or some [ __ ] you're never going to see me out

  • 1:26:21

and give give thanks being in the studio and I appreciate

  • 1:26:26

everybody that believes in me because like I'm not like this [ __ ] ain't it's bigger than me know it's about me and

  • 1:26:33

like I I think about the fact that I think that people don't really hate on me hat him a blessing that God got on my

  • 1:26:40

life oh man we got to get this [ __ ] some more Hennessy he putting too many great

  • 1:26:46

thoughts out there in the universe like this this the blessing God got for me no you're absolutely correct

  • 1:26:51

I'm told [ __ ] I age like I ain't in control of this I'm really in a and and like like I'm watching my life happen

  • 1:26:58

I'm watching the movie I'm the vessel but I'm hearing like I'm putting the work in but [ __ ] like this [ __ ] just

  • 1:27:04

happening right yo [ __ ] it happened right I'm not getting into all that no no no talk that [ __ ] talk that talk man

  • 1:27:13

talk that talk I aad heard what he said bwow what he said and he said do

  • 1:27:20

    something about it [ __ ] huh [ __ ] y you f so I I want Rory to

  • 1:27:27

answer to this argument that he's getting getting bodied on by mistake I didn't think that Berg would come in

  • 1:27:32

here with like with like an angle but he makes a valid point and I kind of want you to defend it because it's the same

  • 1:27:39

point that he tried to argue to me and I couldn't defend it at the time it was very spontaneous but many people I think

  • 1:27:45

in listening to this podcast recognized Rory that you do kind of have an ear for music somehow yeah that's

  • 1:27:53

we've never spoken about it just because we're all friends here but Maul Maul too

  • 1:27:58

has that same ear from there's an ear and there's a talent people are getting paid to so Berg's argument is people are

  • 1:28:05

getting paid that have ears in music and how can we critique the culture without trying to get inside and fix it from the

  • 1:28:12

inside because it's not much we can do from the outside and I don't disagree with that and I don't think I have a point why don't make that [ __ ] bum

  • 1:28:19

ass face when we when you make that [ __ ] good [ __ ] out here why the thing

  • 1:28:25

with the label I have an answer Flex up the thing with the labels as of late

  • 1:28:30

just a li y [ __ ] worship Him damn they worship Rory slick li no one worships

  • 1:28:38

Rory no he out yeah word I got fans you got you hat I was at Hen B

  • 1:28:45

yesterday yo took a lot of pictures man fans and Coney Island don't count my they count when you about to get

  • 1:28:51

robbed to be the one to break it to first of all if you're going to Cony Island without muscle you're the dummy

  • 1:28:57

not them you think uh 5,000 people came there wait time out time out time out before you answer that that's old con

  • 1:29:03

Allen and that's Old Brooklyn I don't today's I don't recognize con Allen still real the Brooklyn I know is not

  • 1:29:08

today's Brooklyn so let me be clear maybe white people are walking around freely in Brooklyn and nothing's

  • 1:29:15

happening St is in Heights now so I can't that Rory he's got you up against the ropes honestly does I haven't made a

  • 1:29:21

point though so I don't understand how I could be against the ropes when I'm not arguing CU it appears you don't have a point bounce back he asked me a no pun

  • 1:29:30

word labels now it seems they just play musical chairs the same people just go from the same [ __ ] and I got kind of

  • 1:29:36

frustrated with that [ __ ] so I'd like to play Flex Again Play Flex again they don't play musical chairs y'all

  • 1:29:41

[ __ ] worship Him is Atlantic not de Jam from the last era they just play musical chairs the same people I'm lying

  • 1:29:48

tell me I'm lying telling you that you're lying have I have I ever never

  • 1:29:53

ever nothing about have I ever been with an executive we never said nothing about Rory's lies we've never mentioned it

  • 1:30:00

ever been an executive talk over did did did I play musical nobody want nobody wants to tell the

  • 1:30:06

truth I didn't even know it was still going I'm not going to scream over Flex

  • 1:30:12

so am I playing musical chair well first of all you denied in the beginning that you was even land it in this podcast now

  • 1:30:17

you're admitting that you're is that was happening no no I said I have aspirations of being executive okay

  • 1:30:23

bringing in blood bringing in blood like this that's an actual artist that cares about music and not someone that just

  • 1:30:29

goes from label to label that has a family and the whole point that you brought up I'm with your side I like I

  • 1:30:35

would go to a label if you had some Authority there to do [ __ ] we could do this [ __ ] on our own speaking to Rory's

  • 1:30:42

Point Rory has now boxberg in the corner I just don't need is this a Cas is this

  • 1:30:47

a case is this I I think things in fact did progress especially with yand and I was with Nina

  • 1:30:55

yesterday too and said this [ __ ] about 15 times makes point you have a million

  • 1:31:01

hits M the labels are going to listen to you right Rory has his ear don't you guys

  • 1:31:09

have a million and a Westside gun hoodie y'all have a million hits SoundCloud SoundCloud YouTube I hate

  • 1:31:16

Rory the hype Beast is Rory not the biggest hype Beast you've ever seen

  • 1:31:23

Famer but doesn't Rory have more influence but doesn't Rory have more

  • 1:31:29

experience being inside a building then Allah [Music]

  • 1:31:35

myself yo hey Rory punch this [ __ ] in the face man this nigga's coming with good

  • 1:31:40

point don't have more you have more experience musical guy I know and which is why I'm saying you coming in there is

  • 1:31:47

perfect because there's usually not a lot of musical people there and what I'm suggesting is my experience lot of musical people in these positions though

  • 1:31:53

like we can't we can't lie over the last years whether we say dream what you said

  • 1:31:59

rting jur what you said like come on it goes all the way back to that no ID charge I

  • 1:32:05

think don't don't say that so I have more experience with the [ __ ] of just dealing with Executives that have

  • 1:32:11

been there for 15 years and are not interested music J I'm a little jaded man oh man I'm a little jaded I've said

  • 1:32:17

for years that Rory needs therapy think everybody needs therapy no

  • 1:32:23

I think that you and Rory need therapy I knew I was going to end up in that for sure but yeah needs therapy everybody

  • 1:32:31

needs therapy look I just told you Chris needs therapy cam needs Chris is fine okay

  • 1:32:38

yeah them pants is a little them pants is listen to C you

  • 1:32:46

into his own pants yo you know why say your pants therapeutic yo you know why the camera

  • 1:32:52

guy always gets to flourish cuz the camera's never on him he gets to wear these pants yeah that's a fact yeah but

  • 1:32:59

no only you three need therapy I have had years of therapy what oh wow Berg I

  • 1:33:05

think if I took a job at a label I think that my freedom and the same things that I chastised charlot man and an Angela ye

  • 1:33:12

about I wouldn't have the freedom to speak but you unless they would be hiring me you you rich right yes okay so

  • 1:33:18

oh no yeah I wouldn't give a [ __ ] but then they would fire me so what's the point I mean but no but you have to have

  • 1:33:24

some type of respect and some type of proof I have I have that you can't you can't speak you can't speak to higher up

  • 1:33:30

so like you speak to academ I wouldn't want to that's not what I'm saying not what I'm saying when I I'm respectful no

  • 1:33:36

no but you can still be very opinionated and get your point across and do it in a very respectable level but what's the

  • 1:33:43

name of that position is what I'm asking you're a consultant well bir just saying what I've been saying my whole career like you just don't know how to talk to

  • 1:33:49

people that's not true though and I want people would say that about me but I

  • 1:33:54

really you know what I'm saying like I know how to speak to people that are that are ahead of me I don't know how to

  • 1:34:01

speak to people that um I don't know how to speak to [ __ ] sleeping on couches

  • 1:34:06

I don't know how to speak to [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like I don't know how to speak to a [ __ ] that that hasn't done you know what I'm saying so I do

  • 1:34:12

and I don't you know what I'm saying I don't know if I'm just going to sleep on couch shame with you yeah some of the

  • 1:34:19

best box for comes from the couch on the futon or the couch you know what you

  • 1:34:24

know what and when you realize B got too much money man when you level up and you think about like you sharing energy with

  • 1:34:31

a with a bum [ __ ] you might get that broke juice on you like cuz told swap if

  • 1:34:37

you swap especially be worrying about his financial Wes tell energ he sharing with

  • 1:34:46

the Grand Concourse [ __ ] is wild think about how [ __ ] you went raw with m

  • 1:34:52

that Vibe out with her okay she still ain't got more than you right M's nasty it's

  • 1:34:58

[Laughter] deadly I don't know how this got here but [ __ ] it whatever I'm rolling with it

  • 1:35:04

man broll yo it's crazy B is right I don't care what he's saying right I can't really I don't want to get my

  • 1:35:10

energy to these bum [ __ ] no more I feel but wait you're saying that are you saying that because you were wise enough

  • 1:35:17

to be told and act upon it or did you experience enough no post post um there we go post broke [ __ ] depression yeah

  • 1:35:24

andig no no no no no not that post um figuring out my my worth and my

  • 1:35:30

value your V what is your value [ __ ] I'm bad and bougie like I'm like a [ __ ] out here in these streets like I'm like

  • 1:35:36

one of the like whoever you think is whatever [ __ ] is flossing on I'm like you can't talk to me you can't sit with

  • 1:35:42

us you already you already you already thed me to the studio I don't know why I haven't

  • 1:35:48

Googled your worth word Young net wor what is his net

  • 1:35:53

you know the chicks is out here Googling [ __ ] worth definitely that wouldn't even be accurate cuz young Bergen I know

  • 1:36:00

but I'm just telling you what the young ladies are doing out here I'm just I'm just I'm just worried about people um

  • 1:36:05

I'm not Young Berg anymore hitmaker as I watch you and as I listen to you you're

  • 1:36:11

H&M and I don't want to be offensive with this yo damn Yow sh I can see how

  • 1:36:19

um and I'm not very familiar with tiger mhm me neither go

  • 1:36:26

ahead he seems like he he comes from the youngberg school tiger I can see why you

  • 1:36:33

make that comparon I don't know much about him yeah I can see why you make that comparison but I'm talking about his style of music his look never stop

  • 1:36:40

every lightskinned [ __ ] that make music is not that me and tiger don't have no [ __ ] resemblance or musical wise or

  • 1:36:47

whatever I love Tiger music some songs I would say the closest person that um

  • 1:36:52

that that that comes from the fruit of the tree that for me personally is um kidding and um you don't get to

  • 1:36:59

determine who you inspire Yeah well yeah he said yeah well I am going to

  • 1:37:05

determine who I Inspire determine who I claim to inspire claim yours you going to claim

  • 1:37:11

    yours [ __ ] that all right all right so we [ __ ] [ __ ]

  • 1:37:16

up all right so kidy but wait you know you know why you know why all of that's

  • 1:37:22

funny this is why that's really funny now back to narrative you're right when somebody says tiger that's what you

  • 1:37:28

think right but don't K in come from the tiger school no not at all kidink kidink like I don't know enough about him all

  • 1:37:33

right so let me let me give you a little little history on kiding kidink is a [ __ ] skate he's no he's a

  • 1:37:39

    multi-millionaire he's a bossle times over he's a family man he has a

  • 1:37:45

Incredible family and um he's someone I was blessed to have the the the position to work with through Drew Rob holiday

  • 1:37:52

and he was a producer I was doing mixtapes if y'all don't understand when hot new Hip Hop was popping when

  • 1:37:58

everybody like Chris Brown and tiger was doing the mixtapes and I was doing my mixtapes and came it was the DJ ill will

  • 1:38:04

and all them they were they were the rock star they were the people that were doing the mixtapes and they were Furnishing it through hot new hip hop I

  • 1:38:10

was working with kiding his name was RockStar at the time and we did a lot of Records M and we have visual to it and

  • 1:38:18

we have a lot of different things and now it's 2017 and I'm more than just blessed to

  • 1:38:23

actually have like a a top 20 record with him right now MH you know and your publ trash I I can see your publicist's

  • 1:38:31

angle just say that you're blessed man at times I don't have a publicist yo yo

  • 1:38:38

    yo yo wait wait [ __ ] my publicist [ __ ] you I don't have a public hey if that's

  • 1:38:45

a publist move I like that move I like that hey but back to kidding now all right so there's plenty of reasons to

  • 1:38:50

hate on kid in chance is another one that comes from money how do I feel about these MC's come from money

  • 1:38:57

kid no no kid no I come from money kid in is from nothing so where he get all

  • 1:39:04

his money from he's hard work dedication for the years you're not about to

  • 1:39:09

convince me that kid in is a multi-millionaire because of his hits no you're not sorry you going to lie to

  • 1:39:14

yourself you GNA lie to yourself oh then tell me how well I mean me personally does he own everything tell me tell me

  • 1:39:21

how me personally I'm letting you know right now Chris Brown Show Me was his first record he's still relevant right

  • 1:39:28

now he's a very he's not he's not just your selling artist he's more of a touring artist he gets money he tours

  • 1:39:37

his own tours and brings people out there over whatever so wait I know that story on him he's he's had a top 10 he's

  • 1:39:44

had a top 10 record for the last 10 years for the most part ever since I I need I need to fact check that it's

  • 1:39:50

probably I've never heard a kid in 2007 since since show me he's had a top 10 record since show me wasn't that long

  • 1:39:57

ago show me was def you talking about 2012 yo show me was definitely six years

  • 1:40:02

ago you're talking about a fiveyear window what are you talking about name me one person that you know that had a

  • 1:40:08

fiveyear window with number one like hits in top 10 hits if I pull up my computer I'm going straight to Flo Rider

  • 1:40:14

number one no you not [ __ ] yes I am what what you mean if you asking me the name of if you're asking me the name and

  • 1:40:21

he's on Atlantic so watch your mouth if you're asking me to name a [ __ ] that's on that's had a 5year run of top

  • 1:40:29

whatever charting hits show me show me was 2013 off my own

  • 1:40:34

L see and he's been relevant since then though that's four years a big difference how many hits has he had I

  • 1:40:41

can show me no show me no he had more than three hits yeah five wait wait wait

  • 1:40:47

time out F you mean five saying that [ __ ] like that [ __ ] is just like like no and before you said that I was about to

  • 1:40:53

clear up I'm not dissing kid in I'm asking for the information I know today in this climate when you ask for

  • 1:40:59

information it could come offive people I know I don't know and he's and he also is introverted and he

  • 1:41:07

also doesn't have the personality to say the [ __ ] that I'mma say right now so no disrespect and I love you kidding and

  • 1:41:12

you already know what time it is but I'm a rep and this what the [ __ ] is going on how come all of the The Talented uh La

  • 1:41:19

[ __ ] are introverted like that none of my business I don't think about men that

  • 1:41:24

deeply I think about everything that deeply yeah pause pause my

  • 1:41:29

thinking PA my brain uh I want to get in to nikk then let's get stay away from

  • 1:41:35

men Nikki you're working with Nicki now are you allowed to say that cuz I'm saying it we're probably not going to

  • 1:41:41

edit he's already worked with her I've already worked are you yeah here's my thing with Nikki of

  • 1:41:49

course her anytime somebody starts with here's my thing it [ __ ] just makes me nervous make it good yeah cuz the thing

  • 1:41:55

is always crazy wait and before you start let me tell you B all people B is repping for Atlantic he's going to rep

  • 1:42:01

for Jeremiah he's going to rep for Chris he's going to re rep for all of the people that he works close through with be careful here he's going to rep for

  • 1:42:08

Nikki I know he is and I rep for Nikki I love Nikki with that said Nikki's not doing

  • 1:42:15

hory sorry that's not true we've actually Karen n trying to

  • 1:42:21

[ __ ] sorry Rory Nikki of course her I feel like she's been coasting on her stardom for the past couple years the

  • 1:42:28

music is just not there the way it was before in my opinion and I think a lot of other people would speak that way

  • 1:42:34

that aren't stands for her and she has a lot of stands so she's always going to be good it's not like she's falling off

  • 1:42:39

I think music the quality of music I think is falling off I have a part two to that question because I agree with that you're going to say some political

  • 1:42:46

[ __ ] so that's fine but my part two is your executive brain I think can fix

  • 1:42:51

that so why don't you and that goes back to me saying musically talented artist

  • 1:42:56

in these positions is better cuz you can't all of us are fans of Nikki's Talent let me be clear I've been very

  • 1:43:02

vocal all of us are fans of her Talent we all know what you could do let's forget let's not even focus on the on

  • 1:43:08

the missteps cuz there have been missteps clearly I think if Nikki were here she would tell us that herself I think you I think you can be

  • 1:43:14

instrumental and critiquing it and you don't think so we have records I'm not talking about records

  • 1:43:20

ber I'm talking about your brain I'm talking about your brain output invol

  • 1:43:25

involving her yeah I'm you're probably on in the capacity of a producer and a

  • 1:43:30

hit maker and a songwriter I think that she has her own like her

  • 1:43:36

own brilliant mind like like brilliant like she like Russell Crow so like we

  • 1:43:42

got to let her do what she do you have to inform me more about Russell CR that didn't tell me anything at

  • 1:43:47

all I know I know in La the name drop is I don't care about Russell Crow I don't

  • 1:43:52

know anything about Russell Crow outside he's a phenomenal he be thinking he be thinking different [ __ ] but like she's

  • 1:43:57

in a whole different space y she needs a and I like and can I be honest with you like I don't really um have major

  • 1:44:05

interaction with her right now with Nikki okay nothing wrong with that so I

  • 1:44:10

couldn't tell you what had space she's in right now I think that in within my time what I could tell um people is that

  • 1:44:18

it was just amazing the record that you played for me that I had never heard

  • 1:44:23

yeah favorite that was ridiculous that was one of the greatest records I think

  • 1:44:29

I've probably made in my whole career I'mma get to that phone man listen you

  • 1:44:34

ain't even got to get I could grab that [ __ ] right last yo pull it up right now it's on her last album pull it up pull

  • 1:44:40

it up you you have the oore pull it I don't have her last album here when I'm not youtubing anything

  • 1:44:46

here but when ber gets the Au cord here you take the alord because you have it the YouTube I just don't like the ad and

  • 1:44:52

all that [ __ ] I don't have a it's a great record nonetheless it's it's amazing it is Yo and like you know what

  • 1:45:00

the real thing about me and um Nicki Minaj or whatever the whole thing is kind of like a man I had a great time

  • 1:45:08

like creating this this project with her you know what I'm saying and granted whatever you feel about it or whatever

  • 1:45:13

like it's something that's Monumental in in my life because she was probably like the first A-list to really like embrace

  • 1:45:20

me and that meant a lot at that time you know what I'm saying because see because

  • 1:45:27

she empowered me and like made me think like yo [ __ ] was really possible because

  • 1:45:32

here you go being Berg or like I started from [ __ ] being in Atlanta and like

  • 1:45:38

not having no [ __ ] um idea what was going on in my career and um I sent the

  • 1:45:44

record to Vincent Herbert's cousin and he sent it to Vincent Herbert and [ __ ] and became Tamar braxon

  • 1:45:51

record turn that up this right here is

  • 1:45:57

favorite you might really want to try me all I know I want to ride all I know I

  • 1:46:04

want to ride you know that you that's

  • 1:46:12

[Music] hard yo I just want to be a rer you

  • 1:46:19

should pull up in that spider [Music]

  • 1:46:25

    and without

  • 1:46:35

that for Niki Su man and like I did I did um five records

  • 1:46:41

on that that album and like that that that was like so inspirational for me so

  • 1:46:46

if somebody wants a Berg joint a hit maker track

  • 1:46:51

Cool N they sign delay they ain't getting no hitmaker track yeah like yeah

  • 1:46:57

no I'm sorry bro I'm sorry I I I a even I'm sorry e IR try to get try to get

  • 1:47:05

some n actually I will work with fam you know what I'm saying you I played some e- records I played some

  • 1:47:11

e to the studio B says send him the vocal send them to acappellas send them to aapos the Beast

  • 1:47:18

is trash but I Bo him up yeah I can't even I can't even say that when somebody

  • 1:47:23

that great said no no but I agree with that the production is comp it's dated

  • 1:47:28

it's dated it's dated it can sound bigger pause Well normally that's the problem when you're a creative without

  • 1:47:36

without the the resources to get it yeah you know I get it you know one of my the biggest knocks in my career was I don't

  • 1:47:41

    know how to [ __ ] pick a beat and I'm like [ __ ] y the [ __ ] I do when you put me in there with some [ __ ] that's going to get it

  • 1:47:47

popping it's the same [ __ ] and it's like I I hate like the song like the Joan

  • 1:47:52

song that you might like from the other night like I hate it compared to the next song that we made the night that

  • 1:47:58

you wasn't there you know what I'm saying like as an artist you always like trying to top yourself and like you

  • 1:48:03

don't hate it but it's just kind of like it's dated to you this is new this is this is a new [ __ ] bur Burke has

  • 1:48:09

introduced us to a young gentleman by the name of joanni who I was unfamiliar

  • 1:48:15

with I had never heard any of his music until the night that I went to see uh Berg at the studio like a [ __ ] th um

  • 1:48:22

and this kid is incredible he's incredible he's extremely young his age

  • 1:48:28

I won't tell you in the event that [ __ ] want to lie about his age later but he's young he's talented his vocal

  • 1:48:34

range is through the roof and and him and Berg have been in there creating

  • 1:48:39

some magic this reminds me of when Tina Davis was trying to introduce Neo a

  • 1:48:47

young Neo to Death Jam and he was just right a whole bunch of [ __ ] and a lot of it sounded good and it was a tall task

  • 1:48:53

trying to convince the suits that Neo was the great talent he is I remember meeting Chris Brown in a similar fashion

  • 1:49:00

again with Tina Davis uh in a studio many years ago before his first album

  • 1:49:06

came out when he was young and just his talent was so immense so this was one of

  • 1:49:11

the rare occasions where I met a young man and I it had that type of impact on

  • 1:49:16

me uh and your talent is great so y'all [ __ ] is in there just cooking album in three

  • 1:49:25

days I've been doing that though like like the crazy [ __ ] is like when you actually link me up with whoever you

  • 1:49:32

know what I'm saying like I'm able to crank out several joints a night on on different acts like shout out to Brie

  • 1:49:38

Steves I did our EP in probably three sittings you know what I'm saying and um

  • 1:49:44

I think that might be another something that we should play she's amazing and um well we're going to do this thing where

  • 1:49:50

Berg is in charge of all of our sleepers yeah cuz we're doing we're doing a [ __ ] a all Young Berg sleeper set it

  • 1:49:58

need to be since we can't steal his phone and we can't play any of the 97

  • 1:50:03

exclusive singles that are coming out that he has been a part of what's up with Chris Chris is [ __ ] amazing he's

  • 1:50:12

putting out a double album and um shout out to my brother A1

  • 1:50:17

um [ __ ] the numbers that I hear that we're on the album it's crazy like I I just know like what we've

  • 1:50:24

done it's probably like 18 points that's a lot of music A1 is like

  • 1:50:31

a [ __ ] like we like Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis right now he's like what's his phone number

  • 1:50:38

two a man this is my guy like you know what I'm saying like shout out to A1 shout out shout out to A1 hey chrisan

  • 1:50:45

chrisan what's popping all my all my dogs you know what I'm saying like we have a real system and we have a real team Goldie

  • 1:50:53

like this is it's mtown over again I'm coming over there it's over I love the fact that you keep doing that you never

  • 1:51:00

lose sight of your team I'm going get a snare all Squad bro I love that I love that so ber was playing some joints in

  • 1:51:06

the studio record that he's not going to play that don't even it doesn't even exist it doesn't even exist but Berg was

  • 1:51:13

playing some [ __ ] from his phone the other day right in the studio when I when I was trying to figure out how to

  • 1:51:18

steal the phone and I was like and I knew I wouldn't get the answer to this but boy whatever

  • 1:51:24

[ __ ] sub that is he's putting in them beats yo I don't know what that sound is

  • 1:51:30

but when that [ __ ] come on and every one of them shits personally like I'mma Be let it be

  • 1:51:38

known it's it's um brought to you by Tariq beats it's brought to you by um AO

  • 1:51:43

it's brought to you by Keys brought to you by Smash David it's brought to you by um we definitely got to start buying

  • 1:51:49

more producer that I'm going to start that I'm signing this this week or whatever that I can't really speak about

  • 1:51:55

you know what I'm saying and um it's also brought to you by S Miagi who's my engineer shout out to S Miyagi he's my

  • 1:52:03

engineer he's from Houston he knows what to do team teamwork yo it's a good engineer

  • 1:52:10

is really underrated yo with the tone that [ __ ] just had anytime a [ __ ] has the correct tone and starts naming

  • 1:52:16

[ __ ] that you don't know yeah like you just got to shut up yeah that sounded great y' don't want to talk

  • 1:52:21

    about no more [ __ ] [ __ ] you haven't said you haven't talked about any [ __ ] [ __ ] you're very listen

  • 1:52:28

Media train B listen I like Media train B I'm here to protect you as well listen

  • 1:52:34

let me tell you something anytime I'm smoking one more Square listen when a [ __ ] don't do interviews by the time

  • 1:52:40

this Square over if you ain't got it ber listen Berg don't do interviews just

  • 1:52:46

like many people today don't do interviews is because the [ __ ] media people have cornered artists in a

  • 1:52:53

position where you don't want to do interviews because we're too vulnerable to whatever picture you want to paint or whatever narrative you want to create I

  • 1:52:58

know that's why I stopped in technology today is to a point where we don't need to do interviews so listen let me be

  • 1:53:04

clear I'm making jokes but I'm just grateful that you're here number one you're here number two on a holiday

  • 1:53:09

number two this is our fourth time dating I think it's getting serious what are

  • 1:53:15

we wait a lot of days things are moving fast us so so so let's figure out Let's

  • 1:53:22

do let's do some of this [ __ ] let's how was Pump It Up created like

  • 1:53:27

cuz I love these stories like how I was telling y'all about like how the business and like all this other how the

  • 1:53:33

way that record was created was amazing we ain't going to talk about that but I was there for that I would have liked to hear that one again that was an amazing

  • 1:53:39

hey bur's people in there is he allowed to tell us the business story can I get can I get a yes or no that was amazing

  • 1:53:46

that's a thumbs up did they thumbs up thumbs up we got [ __ ] story all right but put some filter on it because ber is

  • 1:53:52

still kind of x-rated can we get some background music Joe like a a instrumental this is this is a dope

  • 1:53:59

story this is a very dope story so look let's go on ahead and just just brace

  • 1:54:05

yourself people right something's about to happen anyway is this a case I made I made a

  • 1:54:12

record and like I was in a studio and like I had a I had a girlfriend she were R named nameless mhm

  • 1:54:20

and she was really my girlfriend and like I went on a scream tour and like I got off the scream tour and like I my

  • 1:54:26

house my Lisa my house was over so she picked up my all my stuff and I I began

  • 1:54:31

to live with her and from there I came up with this record the business like I

  • 1:54:39

came up with the beat inside of Eve's house we were in Eve's house Eve used to live right off of like like like

  • 1:54:46

Hollywood Boulevard in the in the Hills right there right when you pass Eve house be shout out to teia ride out

  • 1:54:53

Rob holiday the greatest [ __ ] ever with where's give me the ARs man y'all hating

  • 1:54:58

this is y'all missing bu how you play The Art of Noise on his Rough Rider story oh my God so from there Eve used

  • 1:55:06

to believe in me a lot I wrote and I did a lot of different records you know what I'm I did I wrote the title track to

  • 1:55:12

Evolution the hook for Eve like I I'll never forget that like shout out to Troy Carter like that was something big for

  • 1:55:18

me and for there man we went to the studio I was high like like sherberg I

  • 1:55:26

used to live I used to live we would have never thought you were high in this story I used to live a Murder Inc

  • 1:55:31

lifestyle I used to be in a house with JY Rule and like Irv and like see like

  • 1:55:36

seven like with big Sage trees and [ __ ] like that you know what I'm saying that's why I've been around everybody

  • 1:55:43

and like that's why I'm so well versed and how I'm able to attack every different boy did seven have a run by

  • 1:55:48

the way oh my God seven was the name we were trying to think of one day on this podcast that we just had a brain freeze

  • 1:55:54

boy did seven have a run so from there we went in the studio and then I went in

  • 1:56:00

the booth and it was one take and like we'll play the business after this because we GNA get Su for that or

  • 1:56:06

whatever but I don't say no bars like I ain't never met a girl getting down like

  • 1:56:11

you and like I I did the the [ __ ] delay on all the use which I think a lot of people shout out to my shout out to

  • 1:56:18

my brother Ari who now um it's a part of the sneezing tense who does all Bruno

  • 1:56:23

Mars Records who engineered that record for me you know what I'm saying and did everything that we were doing that and

  • 1:56:28

we created a whole vibe to each because shout out to you know what I'm saying shout out to him and um I se the whole part that cash saying

  • 1:56:36

and Casher wasn't really like uh my artist like she was in a group sign a

  • 1:56:42

republic and um that kind of forced and turned things we we were kind of close

  • 1:56:47

at the time but it turned things to what it turned into and yo this how I know you getting a whole lot of money you

  • 1:56:53

don't never get the artist twitch like as a producer you're a hit maker no pun

  • 1:56:58

intended M and you never get the urge to just hop on one of your own shits like

  • 1:57:03

you were first in a lot of that vocal singing [ __ ] of the First with a lot of

  • 1:57:09

that you were early in that so today with that being such a prominent sound you never get the urge to hop on some

  • 1:57:15

[ __ ] why well that's why it's called a urge nah you have to do it Reon all that all

  • 1:57:23

all that [ __ ] is from an egotistical standpoint like I'm at the point to where I'm looking for Pebbles to

  • 1:57:28

complete my you know what I'm saying you know what I'm saying like somebody can help me build an artist you know what

  • 1:57:34

I'm saying that's bad that you know what I'm saying I'm looking for a counterpart that didn't like really be like I

  • 1:57:40

whatever I've smashed whatever it's over but not like for but not like for fun

  • 1:57:47

even nah Joe cuz that's not Fun N no Joe what is fun for Berg

  • 1:57:52

today being being able to create a Al for giovan work is fun yeah to be able

  • 1:57:58

to be right here like this is fun joanni kids are a mega star for this to be a

  • 1:58:03

podcast that I listen to that I really [ __ ] with just being like a part of the culture and watching and knowing about

  • 1:58:09

podcast to be right here like that's fun that's dopee yo man I can't even hate on this

  • 1:58:16

[ __ ] no more man yeah man I'm a Burg advocate there nothing there's nothing to there's nothing to say here any final

  • 1:58:23

final words for this guy man I think think you've won us over yeah and that's very important in a relationship my

  • 1:58:28

friends have to like youah stop hating on Jeremiah stop

  • 1:58:34

hating on Nicki Minaj all right listen so this is my Olive Branch this is my Olive Branch here

  • 1:58:41

because you're so tight with uh both of these people who I really have ISS those people I care about those people and

  • 1:58:47

look this is what I want I this yeah I want to say this because a lot of people

  • 1:58:52

be be asking me like what what should you do like don't get attached to

  • 1:58:59

people work with people you know how you like like the Rockefeller syndrome or

  • 1:59:04

the the things of that nature when you get like when I work with Nikki you know what I'm saying like I we developed a

  • 1:59:10

real relationship you know what I'm saying and now I'm attached you know what I'm saying Remy might say something I'm I'm hurt you know what I'm saying

  • 1:59:16

like I can't work with her you can't do that and I still won't sucker you know what I'm saying but I know the industry

  • 1:59:22

is built like that what I'm telling what I'm telling y'all is that thank God I'm retired just really

  • 1:59:28

be just be just be this [ __ ] is business man for real yeah [ __ ] business bro I

  • 1:59:35

agree I agree if that was your seg way to try to get us to play the business I'm not playing it right now I'm not you think I want to hit our

  • 1:59:43

[ __ ] anymore I love that record I don't want to hear that [ __ ] at all yo but the industry is so small

  • 1:59:49

listen Berg is a great guy Berg says Nikki and Jeremiah are great people i'

  • 1:59:54

you're making me have a Jeremiah before I don't even have a Jeremiah beef you don't and I love Jeremiah you won't I'm

  • 2:00:00

we're going to do a record together Jeremiah well I'm retired so we want do aord retired you just did a record Tory Lanes less than a year ago my [ __ ] well

  • 2:00:07

my put a whole album up well my media career is taking off rather quickly guys I don't know if you

  • 2:00:15

guys have a pulse on what's going on out there wait maybe [ __ ] got it a little

  • 2:00:20

twisted I'm not in the biggest rush not in a big hurry to get back in the booth

  • 2:00:27

hey Berg the same way you talk your [ __ ] I'm about to be able to talk my [ __ ] see in rap I can't talk my [ __ ] I can't talk

  • 2:00:33

my [ __ ] in rap it was real quick quick underground great rapper with not enough Commercial Success we can't just judge

  • 2:00:39

his accolades in media though all the things that held me back as a MC Propel

  • 2:00:44

me as a media uh as a media personality sh L bro yeah so I want to talk some some [ __ ] too I want to make as much

  • 2:00:50

money as Burg has made throughout the course of his career I want to be more like bur right I think that's what we

  • 2:00:55

all come away from and talking to studi Berg not podcast Berg when you talk to

  • 2:01:01

studi Berg we all leave saying like Berg if I could be

  • 2:01:07

like be like that's a shame that's a really good jingle it's a lot of money

  • 2:01:12

in commercial Jingles that was terrible Joe you know how much money is in commercial you

  • 2:01:18

would at me if you knew how much money is in commercial I'd be in the bathroom like a [ __ ] trying to come up with a tune I sing the JG Wentworth commercial

  • 2:01:26

all the time [ __ ] what call J gorth

  • 2:01:31

    877c 877 [ __ ] I sing that [ __ ] on the just it's a few commercials that's

  • 2:01:36

rocking out here hey and y'all commercial jingler makers I see y'all biting off the Geico joints my [ __ ] y'all not low Geico and Progressive and

  • 2:01:43

is one other person in commercials is just very futuristic you push your T right a jingle for somebody that came out like last year was revealed was

  • 2:01:51

Pepsi or some [ __ ] push Pepsi I'm I'm giving that to Karen Karen putting push a te with a bunch of people I wouldn't

  • 2:01:57

expect push T to be with he definitely wrote one of those uh it was somebody and if and if we knew how much the

  • 2:02:02

people that are making that progressive lady makes a lot of money that Old Spice dude I don't know what happened to him but boy did he hit a lick M the Old

  • 2:02:09

Spice [ __ ] hit a lick on him that little horse the the dois guy too The Most

  • 2:02:17

Interesting Man oh yeah yeah he is that yeah that's like almost uh like your

  • 2:02:23

  • 2:02:51

make mention of anything that has ever happened to you negatively oh [ __ ] has this positive outlook stemmed from that

  • 2:02:58

cuz I'll I'll speak for myself when rayquan and them [ __ ] caught me in that thing all five of them and that

  • 2:03:04

[ __ ] happened it changed how I moved a bit I'm a big advocate of new [ __ ] today needing to get punched in their

  • 2:03:11

face I think that's why people are very Reckless I think that's why people just have no boundaries The Hip Hop I was

  • 2:03:17

raised in you were not allowed to do and say certain things that's me Maul comes

  • 2:03:23

from that hip-hop too Rory is well versed on that hip-hop but he doesn't come from that hip-hop so this you're

  • 2:03:30

you you I'm not going to say the business savvy part we've always seen that there you seem very even in your

  • 2:03:37

organic you seem very militant right does that come from your

  • 2:03:43

experience around Street [ __ ] is it a combination of things that have happened along with your old

  • 2:03:51

affiliations where cuz where do PE I think and I only mention it I'm not here to ever talk about [ __ ] you but I only

  • 2:03:57

    mention it because I feel like it's a it's a college course that young [ __ ] Miss n like no honestly

  • 2:04:04

    like it's my life like I've been bred from this [ __ ] like I don't give a [ __ ]

  • 2:17:22

like if I were an R record so he doesn't well that's a lot of times to an artist

  • 2:17:27

detriment that we want to write and produce and keep all the [ __ ] and not pay anybody sometimes you should pay
