have had some uh DM interaction which is very rare for me cuz I don't speak to

men in DMS yeah I don't even really open my DMs right cuz you just get in trouble

anytime you even look at one your girl is riing why you look at that [ __ ] some [ __ ] so so I try to stay away from that

but so I've had some interaction with this gentleman in my DMs right but in my

professional uh Journey where I am there really no need for me to have extended

conversation with this gentleman I'm trying to retire I'm trying to not make music uh I'm trying to live a nice

sturdy faithful firm good life here and all that I know about this gentleman just reeks of Havoc mhm just reeks of

trouble right right so I had the group chat cuz you just hit the group chat

with [ __ ] I say yo me and [ __ ] Berg have been kicking it right just CU that's a

punchline you shouldn't have even I shouldn't have even said the name but I that's what I said in my group chat and

then Maul says get the [ __ ] out of here I said oh no you got you got ber

[ __ ] up mul and then somebody supported me ammani then ammani said yeah M you got Berg [ __ ] up no but

let's be clear it wasn't about musically yeah no no not musically

yes and I think that's why this is such a great this is that's why this is so great uh B cuz I don't think many people

know how great you are okay yeah and I and I I you know maybe in La yeah in

your mix I'm certain that they know how great your talent is that was a really

shitty intro there was no drop no man what you want all right hold up man hold

one because you can't call another [ __ ] hit it's just things you can't do mean I mean well now that we got a personal

number one and number two ber anybody that has ever had and you

the you're the exception not the rule anybody that has ever had hit maker in their name never had

hits they got like two hits tell me and Remo's my guy Remo's my guy but

you know the real [ __ ] is that like once I was going through like back in the day like I was trying to figure out how I

would go from being Berg to another person you know what I'm saying because music is all I've been doing my whole

life it's not like I've had like well I told y'all a little bit but my backstory is a little different like my parents

always came up and I always had bread and like they never wanted me to do music and they always wanted me to be

like the kid 16 with a Range Rover so I decided to go like like the Asian kids yeah I decided to go and be like um go

sell crack and like you know what I'm saying cuz this is back in the day when like you had to be true to self like no no pun intended with the Bryson um shout

out to Bryson but like you had to be really about that you know what I'm saying so I went with LEP they're now

known as Le infed used to be that name back in the day and I was like their Flagship artist and I was like 14 years

old and like I was selling crack and like doing defiant things just because I didn't want to be like a fraud right

right so within that now being grown like that's the dumbest [ __ ] ever I could have done thought wasn't you know

what's funny I want to I I want to know how to safeguard against that as a parent because that's the story a lot of times

where your parents are so able to provide and maybe they're sheltered or some [ __ ] now you just going to do F

it's a difference though right now because you're in hip-hop and your kid likes hip-hop my mom was like taking me

to school drinking a cup of coffee like slapping me playing Anita Baker you know what I'm saying and I was listening to something that was totally different

where the whole R&B the whole vibe comes from with you know know I'm saying but I think that it was it's a disconnect in

that generation now this generation from 2000 early 90s to where we at right now

everybody's pretty much in the same pocket like your dad likes Jay-Z like you know what I'm saying like my my dad

is put on the hip-hop because I was so in love hip hop they were more R&B based you know what I'm saying at that

time all right that's a good punch P I like that that was sexy that was so sex we can just leave that there like that

some context and some backstory when when sexy uh lady came out right I was

looking for a hit myself in my career okay right and I like that beat a lot

really boy that beat was hard those Dr those drums are I think that that beat and that song is criminally slept on

that's one I wanted that beat right and that song was kind of dope and then it added insult to injury that a few people

started to hit me and ask me if that was my record oh right in New York okay anyway in New York I was quiet I had Joe

Button bars back then like listen they said I was rashed Wallace when I came out man you just got you just got to

take what you could get at some point right so then there's that then it was the Ray J hit mhm and

that's still big yeah so all of that is successful right uhhuh what was that sexy Canna was it yeah Sexy Can I lot of

sexy records man he was real he was ex this is where I want we got we got to

bring it back so look sexy lady was a record that was created with me my my

brother Rob holiday you know what I'm saying then a guy named Junior who I attempted to sign back in the day or

whatever and it was a young [ __ ] the Spanish dude that was singing a hook we literally made that in my that my

manager at the time like house on a laptop running back and forth I was recording getting doing it there is no

mix to Sexy Lady it's the two track that we did that night from there I was like a little young [ __ ] and I went to the

club and I think the club was called privilege in La back at the time and I would going in there with a chinchilla

fur coat on and like I'm in LA with chinchilla mad stand at a DJ booth and

perform sexy lady every night and this was the hottest club so shout out to my bro DJ Echo he allowed me to do that he

still um is a heavy DJ on LA right now and he worked at Power 106 at the time that for Ned me into a mixer meeting my

my weed man was my manager that I live with shout out to him whatever and um

from there I had a mixing meeting with Power 106 and I went in there and told my life story and like I cried I ain't

going to front I cried in it cuz like in in a mixer meeting because like I was like I want to turn on an emotion like I

went in there thinking that but it was just so real for me at the time and from there my record just went to power

rotation in LA on Power 106 before I ever had a record deal and that was the birth of sexy lady I didn't have no

record deal it was the number one record in LA and I was just a little [ __ ] living at my weed man house with a beat

that was created with the guy cuz you got to mind yourself I was still in high school at the time well I dropped out

but I was technically should have been I didn't know that either yeah so I told the guy like I I remember um I worked

with Troy Carter back in the day I had wrote a whole album for this girl named Morgan Smith who was signing inner scope

and Eve was executive producing her album and Troy was my manager back then we kind of separ at and I was trying to

find myself and what I needed to do I received a beat CD from a producer that I also had started working with named

JFK from Virginia the guy Rob holiday is from Virginia he was in high school he

was like sent me a BCD I'm like these beats is tough and then after that man I was like yo just drop out of high school

and come do this like come move in my condo with me I don't know this [ __ ] from nothing I never met in my life I told him just come move in with me I

know what's about to happen I think something's about to be great these beats are amazing week later he was at

my doorstep and we all lived in the same house together now hence since 2017 he done um three records on Bryson tiller

album I was able to bring him in on um Nicki Minaj last album he he's under puff you know what I'm saying he met

puff through me he's been rocking with puff he did a bunch of last train of pair of [ __ ] with me we did a bunch of

that last train of pair of [ __ ] that was way before ahe of his time and his life is evolved and like I was able to be a

blessing to his life yo I need all of those joints on The Cutting Room floor of last train in sleep I got I got a

sleeper I got a sleep singing well pups I got I got to I got that last train of parachute is

crazy that's underrated underrated album of time but I think that and you just

you just kind of Maybe by mistake brought me to where where I was going with Maul's reception to my initial

group chat text because when we when we got in front of you all all we could all

everybody said was yo my perception of young ber is wrong yeah

I I told you T I said I had you [ __ ] up and I apologize I said dog I [ __ ]

um you know E1 kind of like came to me and told me that it wasn't going to work because it was too much autotune it

wasn't into um artist singing their whole songs auto tune this is in 2008 good old you won way a Strayer creative

away from an idea you won I was kind of taken back they good for that they are good for that and then from there like

not to mention this was the real [ __ ] um Charlie Walker got fired from Epic Records Charlie walk was the guy that signed me the Epic Records I'll

never forget Charlie walk and like he's he's my guy like man I walked into the office and like as the sexy story goes

like I had sexy lady I'm like okay this happened organically and then R came to me like yo like I Got This Record you

know what I'm saying you know you got the sexy lady I got the sexy you know Sexy Can I and he sent me a record with

um basically him doing four bars uh 16 Bar Gap I say yes to Four Bars 16 Bar

Gap four another Legend with a different perception is Ray J on a on a songwriter perspective I went in and basically tied

in the whole record I went and did my rap part I went and did like put his part there put put his part there and

I'll never forget when we were finishing up the song cuz we were in chalice studio in LA and like I was popping at

the time and he was popping at the time and uh this this ain't snitching or whatever whatever this all ocean so he

comes into the studio and like um he he like takes his book bag off pulls out like a 9 mimet put it on the desk you

know what I'm saying I got the girl cashing with me that's that's sing the business or whatever so like he there and it's like friend of the show yeah

this is like fresh off of the um the [ __ ] uh what the the the Kim

Kardashian [ __ ] so with that with that being said he was like yo um I don't

mean no disrespect but uh you mind if I watch this I need this to create so he

showed us like DVDs of porno like that was Vivid pornos not his or whatever but he wanted to have porno playing while we

did it this niggaer keeps leading me to my all my next points so I'm like you know me I'm I'm with I'm with a [ __ ]

I'm Excuse me I'm with a girl you know what I'm saying a young lady he's with yeah he's with a girl you know what I'm

saying like he was with um TI Mar the time lowkey you know what I'm saying so um he was in the booth going crazy

sexy Canon like I thought it was mad cheesy you know what I'm saying I'm thinking for me in the trajectory of

where I want to go like I did sexy lady I thought the business was the ideal second single for me to come with with

my artist that was signed to me which was still my production it was organically done it was all my [ __ ] I

own 75% of the business you know what I'm saying so like it was one of them records so from there um so it should

have been the business yes so from there no no I don't know in hindsight is 2020 cuz I went in there and Charlie walk I'd

never forget it he was dancing on top of a grand piano to sexy Kenna and he was like this is going to be the biggest

record of your career and I'm like no it ain't like what you talking about now fast forward 2017 it's probably so eight

and a half 9 million records is the biggest record in my career it's the biggest single record I put out in my career right so he was right MH I think

that that's where people lost touch with me because like I was just the sexiest [ __ ] I was about to say you know what

I'm saying and that right there is a perfect example of how the music industry can be right and wrong at the

very same time right because yeah that record is may be the biggest record of your career if we're going to talk

numbers right but for my career it wasn't the biggest record of but

retroactively looking at the space you're in now M you kind of kind of wish that didn't

happen at all true this is a whole new [ __ ] let me tell you something the only reason that my perception of you was not

like that of malls and the rest of the [ __ ] who just don't know it's cuz we have a lot of

women in common and I mean it's just we just know a lot of the same people

listen I don't think that gets highlighted enough in this industry too women keep this industry tighten it

close together man well yeah they start a lot of the beef y' all

they rob a lot of you [ __ ] women are at the post yeah every 3 years y rotate

the same n women y'all could change this but you just want to date the same five women every five years I'm I'm I'm out

of here I'm retired I don't even see other women I'm trying to retire trying I'm trying to I'm trying to just get

like a lot well I think I was one of the first people to start like throwing out their email on Twitter and throwing out

their stuff so I was able to like sign a few great producers that like in that are still relevant right now like the

AOS and that's I still work with him he's his own boss now like but I was able to discover him in a very young age

and just like Rob holiday and like all these different people so the progression kind of came with me just

really like putting two feet down in the sand like this is what I'm doing you know what I'm saying because there is

the egotistical part of you that's like damn I just gave somebody a hit maybe what about my song you know what I'm

saying I had to bury all that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying and say Tunnel Vision on this exactly what I'm doing

this is there's nothing else that's going to stray away from it and then like I got my crew right now personally right now sound that's my team that I

work with as well shout out to like all the producers that I work with smash David cardiac um I don't want AO the

core group I just don't want to um Oz Tech I don't want to forget anybody because they all play a major part in

what I'm doing right now and I think that a lot of other people that were before me kept people in the dark side

or whatever and me I'm empowering people and that's what my biggest gift about being in the business is that a Rony

jerkens disc no not at all that's a anybody disc is that a timling this I

anybody has anybody seen [ __ ] oh oh that's [ __ ] up what happened to

that I could just play you demos all day until you love you love this record this record and we leave with like 10 records

work and have a session because I have my own crew I have right now sound I have my own people that I work with I

some magic this reminds me of when Tina Davis was trying to introduce Neo a

young Neo to Death Jam and he was just right a whole bunch of [ __ ] and a lot of it sounded good and it was a tall task

trying to convince the suits that Neo was the great talent he is I remember meeting Chris Brown in a similar fashion

again with Tina Davis uh in a studio many years ago before his first album

came out when he was young and just his talent was so immense so this was one of

the rare occasions where I met a young man and I it had that type of impact on

me uh and your talent is great so y'all [ __ ] is in there just cooking album in three
