  • 4:12

so hard back in the day you should have been a cop that was mad flagrant to

  • 4:17

    telling [ __ ] you should have been a cop [ __ ] hip hop that's big as well we're

  • 4:22

not starting with my unemployment right no we'll get to that later let's start with um some was it oh my

finally we went to the barbershop you have one at we dare Scully which is hard but that's town Apes tur

  • 4:48

yeah drugs are really expensive and Rory the other day had on a Parks and Recreation hoodie yeah which is my swag

  • 4:55

but that's hipster and he tried to tell me that it was not it was really literally the leaf that you see in front

  • 5:03

of every park yeah like partisan shirts hey what's wrong with Clark this is my merch who support hipsters I'm going to the park

  • 5:09

like the real parks that hoodie was pretty hipster but we won't get into her

  • 5:14

in it so listen my weekend right oh man [ __ ] all my friends you know every time

  • 5:20

I'm trying to distance myself from Rory he does like a stand-up friend move that

  • 5:27

it reminds me of why I have to keep speaking Tim okay so Friday comes I go

  • 5:33

and I and I do this up and I go I do this year and wrap up chill with Charlemagne that came out really really

  • 5:39

great and while I'm doing that my baby girl calls me and says oh yeah

  • 5:47

and then I was really excited about that even though I had just promised all the

  • 5:52

good people ever vote that I would be at their holiday party I did want to go to

  • 5:58

that revolt holiday I did well you need to network now cuz you're unemployed that's true but that's a good place good place to

  • 6:03

meet people that's not why one new network that's not why I wanted to go to I wanted to go because I feel like I'm

  • 6:10

at a party filled with holiday parties bill dog voice from now all of the words II love holiday parties for adults are

  • 6:18

like proms I guess like it's not that I really wanted to go but you should be

  • 6:23

offered to go to a holiday party and and ladies don't don't fret I'm not touching

  • 6:31

sexual harassment this broadcast yes I said right right when you're unemployed you got to show [ __ ] all of your

  • 6:37

vocabulary you got a really show [ __ ] you can be a valuable asset so whatever it is they're trying to valuable asset Rory

  • 6:43

knows nothing about valuable or assets wait at Joe joking this this is funny

  • 6:51

man I'm curious to see how this plays out let's get to her bear come walk how what plays out boy I had no idea wall

  • 6:57

staring at me what's up Joe all the things that Joe was trying to clown me about the reasons I've stayed unemployed

  • 7:03

and not taking certain things is because I know my worth I'm highly in demand I

  • 7:19

should his horn streets streets is like in that Joe is it yeah you a dick man

  • 7:25

why are you saying didn't say a word why would you just say you ready to have fun with that drop though I see it all

  • 7:32

in your face like you do you think that's the funniest [ __ ] is the best drop ever that's the best dropping

  • 7:37

you're really freaking it in the beginning trash as nephew my cousin is

  • 7:46

not chump any listeners podcast so I would honestly watch what you said no my

  • 7:54

cousin that's his son oh he is not joke hey Connor

  • 8:00

the Irish baby name Oh have you ever said to him we're like us just tell you that all right i'ma chill i'ma children

  • 8:06

oh my chill all right do y'all wanna start with me being fired or do y'all want to start with me ghost is video or

  • 8:13

do you want to start with did me goes black poyu is this why this happened in complex choose me goes over you yeah

  • 8:19

coach cake they make that call amigos interview and they couldn't get it let's start let's start with unemployment

  • 8:25

because there's so many different ways to attack unemployment like this is like

  • 8:31

Sevenfold monster calm I don't know what that is it's places where you attack

  • 8:39

unemployment pause but I also recently just learnt what grinders that we love

  • 8:49

and hip hop last night gay Rory way more

  • 8:55

like you're the [ __ ] love it Papa gay dude ran up to ran up on his boyfriend that's not really his boyfriend and was

  • 9:02

like yo [ __ ] i catfished you I'm Raul no wait the guy you said Raul from Grand

  • 9:09

Concourse yes he's Raul so he catfished his gay lover on Grindr what is Brandon oh yes it's

  • 9:21

yeah different gay men okay that's kind of ill game [ __ ] get right to the business of letting you know what the

  • 9:28

deal is Grindr blunt straightforward I

  • 9:36

love them anyway this like eight different ways to attack this unemployment no one gets unemployed

  • 9:42

or fired when you have a new warrant you would think the goal is to keep your job

  • 9:47

unless you're Rory in myself yeah yet here we are gentlemen how do you guys feel about me being unemployed

  • 9:55

are you guys excited about that let's get it yeah let me get a round of applause for me man obviously I thought

  • 10:01

you were joking Oh lemon you getting rounded before looking is really I mean cuz I ain't get

  • 10:06

a proper fear well I didn't get a proper listened or fingers lie but that's why that's why I thought this was all a joke

  • 10:12

though because it was kind of like you had the baby now I thought you were you

  • 10:18

know gonna take like a week or two off and they'd be right back alright so let me paint a timeline for some people because I do see how this can be

  • 10:24

confusing and before we paint this timeline you know I do want to thank complex and for the tremendous

  • 10:32

opportunity that therefore didn't mean with now Wow look at you copy please trying to get your job back

  • 10:47

no wait Rory I know this podcast is here for the jokes and I want us to get all the jokes in but I have to make certain

  • 10:54

points because too many times Joe Budden has Joe Budden something yeah is that

  • 10:59

the case here no because we don't know that we're in the dark as well okay but but when we know that Joe Budden will

  • 11:07

Joe Budden something yes we do the people in this room we know that we have witnessed well I did the people good

  • 11:14

folk over at complex and Verizon were well aware of my history in my past as

  • 11:19

well - yeah I think they thought it was like a gimmick so anyway all right so so

  • 11:25

let's paint the timeline here and unfortunately you know my heart goes out to the other creators in the world and

  • 11:32

this is where I'll attack this seriously cuz you know I'm okay I am okay me I

  • 11:41

have worked myself into a position where I'm alright I don't have I don't have

  • 11:49

worries right that's not really the case for a lot of other creators man a lot of

  • 11:55

other creators unfortunately when we get into this this corporate atmosphere and around some suits and just around some

  • 12:03

execs and some people who just really don't understand our culture our culture

  • 12:10

it creators in a very compromising position III will say that let me paint this

  • 12:18

timeline for for some people and I want to start this timeline and again we're not here to bash anyone we love everyone

  • 12:25

that we have worked with but I start I start this timeline with the good people

  • 12:31

with complex telling me for nine months that I can't smoke in the bathroom this

  • 12:38

is why you got fired no but I'm gonna I'm gonna paint a timeline look here as

  • 12:44

someone who come my background is in music my background is in the music

  • 12:50

business every smoke in 2000 well know in 98 and

  • 12:58

    99 in 2000 in 2001 in 2002 I don't know

  • 13:05

when the rules kind of changed but you know where you were able to smoke in corporate offices the bathroom we knew

  • 13:16

that that was not allowed always to the steps the stall yeah back then yeah

  • 13:21

that's right we knew that that was not allowed creators I'm talking to y'all we are afforded we are afforded some some

  • 13:29

different rights while we knew that was not allowed for the job that we were

  • 13:35

doing inside of the building [ __ ] day would go build you a smoking chamber if

  • 13:43

you wanted to smoke a cigarette if you wanted to smoke a blunt if you wanted to

  • 13:49

smoke crack cocaine last decade at a record label and you were profitable

  • 13:56

they would find a way to appease you that is important here because every

  • 14:03

time them [ __ ] said to me why are you smoking in the bathroom for me it was a constant reminder of people that were

  • 14:09

out of touch with culture was not wooden

  • 14:15

rolling I'm gonna make a lot of points that it may be hard to keep up with I put it you this way Rory three weeks ago

  • 14:24

they attack they attacked security at complex downstairs attacked trampled a man who

  • 14:32

was trying to break in to that building to get to complex to speak to academics

  • 14:39

or myself I being the famous person there when people are famous you have to

  • 14:47

kinda cater to their notoriety is what I'm saying I shouldn't be smoking any

  • 14:52

with a baby coming let's let's keep the holy book I'm working on it but when you tell a [ __ ] you cannot smoke so let's

  • 14:59

fast forward I create a show I do not care what the end credits of that show

  • 15:05

say Noah along with Elliot along with some other people understand how this

  • 15:13

show came to fruition I didn't think it ever needed to be addressed I didn't

  • 15:18

think it ever needed to be said because I'm a man of integrity I live and die on right and wrong there wasn't very much

  • 15:26

to negotiate when I created this show because I just created a show I mean it

  • 15:31

wasn't profitable at all as a creator I went into this venture with a vision for

  • 15:39

what it could become what it quickly became was the best hip hop show ever in

  • 15:47

my opinion I'm biased I'm biased I think that's a good I don't think ever before in hip-hop there has

  • 15:54

been a show where they just giving it up like that and I I do credit that to act

  • 16:02

as well that dynamic between the three of us on that screen does not exist without everybody playing a part I think

  • 16:09

that part from day one uh was disregarded and ignored by whoever it is

  • 16:17

that is running complex that's what I think I think that's fair to send me the

  • 16:22

airhorn in that man you turn up my ear on as many as possible [Music] [Laughter]

  • 16:31

they're right I think that that's fair to say creators if you've created long enough

  • 16:37

I'm sure you've gone through something like this let me speed this timeline up for a little bit day one when I walk

  • 16:44

into our complex I look at their objective they're at the company's

  • 16:49

objective on the board to see what it is they need to meet as a company I was

  • 16:55

aware of the companies standing when I got there I told academics Noah and

  • 17:01

plenty of other people for this show to be a success we kind of have to address some of the other things happening in

  • 17:08

complex and month one and month two I noticed that all of that [ __ ] was out the [ __ ] window nobody really gave a

  • 17:13

[ __ ] the way that I did the way that I did that is important to say cuz it's

  • 17:19

doesn't make anybody right or wrong it just means Joe is is a lot more passionate and psychoneurotic and

  • 17:28

obsessive then some other people right self-awareness is important here am I

  • 17:34

gonna tell the whole story without y'all giving a whole [ __ ] or something I'm listening I told you all right so y'all

  • 17:40

are going alright I just want to make sure everybody's still here in a tent attentive oh let's see month three they

  • 17:52

come to us and they say Nike has vapor max sneakers and we're doing a sponsor

  • 17:59

integration or some [ __ ] we need you [ __ ] to wear this my business mind told told me I knew better than that I

  • 18:06

wore it anyway that's a check people and it's not a small check it is a rather

  • 18:14

    large check complex solicits rather

  • 18:20

large checks they share with the creator's no no there you go

  • 18:29

so they fine let's put that to the side what's a contract that was a red flag

  • 18:34

yeah but contracts are made to be broken I rock like like the football owners if

  • 18:40

the contract is bad then it's bad and we out that did very different today this ain't like last decade when you had to

  • 18:46

be locked in the contract number one number two add value wherever you go so when you leave you take that

  • 18:51

[ __ ] value with me a contract means nothing to me follow me I'm on

  • 18:57

board fast forward Spotify calls them they

  • 19:04

wanna they wanted they want us to talk about a rat caviar playlist they want to

  • 19:11

insert topics for me to speak about candy under the guise of it being air

  • 19:19

quotes candid for no money or very

  • 19:25

little money as the creator of this show that's a problem

  • 19:31

so joe says no no what they said [ __ ] you Joe we'll do it without you know

  • 19:39

what Spotify said sorry complex no you won't

  • 19:45

I'm telling you about a company that has now damaged a relationship with one of

  • 19:53

the top three streaming providers creators because I'm not talking to

  • 19:59

everyone everyone will not understand what Joe fights for I'm talking to the

  • 20:05

creators I cannot create a show and you sell the [ __ ] properties of that show

  • 20:12

    without cutting a slice to the [ __ ] that make that [ __ ] show possible

  • 20:18

sorry that's not Joe being irate that is

  • 20:23

not Joe what are some of the adjectives that they say about mates they say I'm a

  • 20:28

nutcase and granted it's true it's true however when you get with the nutcase

  • 20:36

you gotta stick with the nutcase the show only works because you're a nutcase anyway they lose the [ __ ] relationship with Spotify they

  • 20:43

keep moving like nothing has occurred in between all of this they start to

  • 20:50

incorporate guests on this show I did not build and create this show to

  • 20:56

    [ __ ] talk to guests every day I hate [ __ ] guess now that I'm unemployed

  • 21:04

allow me to speak freely I hate all of you [ __ ] every last one some of my

  • 21:10

friends that no one loved me can attest to this am i lying here do I want to talk to any of these [ __ ] honestly no

  • 21:16

no complex / Verizon though in month one

  • 21:22

month two when they see the numbers because these people are so numbers based and [ __ ] focused on algorithms

  • 21:29

I don't check the numbers for this podcast know how I know it's moving impact and my line Rory you are not but

  • 21:39

within that you have how long was your contract how many months cuz I know you're saying [ __ ] the contract if you

  • 21:44

don't like it but I'm just gonna play devil's advocate here if you signed a contract where it said you get paid this much amount of money per month we get to

  • 21:52

control the ad revenue we bring in that's why we're hiring you great so I can see now you wanting to walk say [ __ ]

  • 21:58

that you make too much money off me I'm not doing this again unless you renegotiate and I get a percentage of Nike Vapor of the Spotify below Rory

  • 22:04

where we are let me let me let me respond to you so you save some breath where you are this is the renegotiation

  • 22:10

this is the end of the contract but I'll ask you as your friend what did you

  • 22:17

think walking into that contract of course it was a new experience and no one knew exactly what it would be

  • 22:22

complex is gonna complex man they're they're of a huge media corporation backed by Verizon like that's what's

  • 22:30

gonna happen I thought if you're asking me what I thought I thought the complex would recognize

  • 22:37

what academics and myself as outside entities and vendors have done for that

  • 22:45

conglomerate and at the end of the contract they would show that they have

  • 22:51

appreciated the best year that they have ever had more subscriptions than they've ever had

  • 22:57

more saying now today yesterday today okay no my audience I'm saying when you water it has my our show increased

  • 23:05

numbers for all the shows that's what I'm saying so what it is how you to work when it's

  • 23:12

time to renegotiate let me tell you people something I like to live in the future like as a creator I try to be ahead of

  • 23:19

things just because I ain't nobody in real life so I mean if I don't beat you

  • 23:26

to the punch then I'm not gonna get a glass of the punch so I try to do that

  • 23:31

you cannot you can not let me in let me see it you cannot you cannot not

  • 23:39

acknowledge the creator's and compensate the creators and if I were a poker

  • 23:46

player I would be willing to move all of my chips to the table to say I'm not the only creator that feels that way around

  • 23:52

there so I get that here Rory here's where we are every label every like this

  • 23:59

is nothing new where the where the company always thinks they're more important than the artist right let me

  • 24:05

help you here the world change the world is changed they agree with you I'm just laid aside here even though even the

  • 24:10

labels today Rory in Lent go talk to nip secret talk to all the labels today you know - I'm an OG one the labels today

  • 24:18

have to play a different game this is this is incompetence on the side of

  • 24:27

whoever is making decisions I don't know as a creator though the most important

  • 24:32

thing for me is the correct home write very early on I recognize that complex

  • 24:40

may not necessarily be the right home not for the show but for Joe yeah I mean

  • 24:47

Joe let's keep this all the way funky as someone who knows you and in knowing

  • 24:53

this show just yeah you and ACK I think Charlemagne said this to act a long time

  • 25:00

ago he was dumb for doing that you could have brought all your YouTube viewers by yourself and did your own thing and of

  • 25:06

course it's grown now but I think going to another wheel have to name names of different media outlets

  • 25:11

but going to another one who says you're not gonna run into the exact same [ __ ] thing so I I think it's to a

  • 25:18

point where [ __ ] all of them grab AK and do that showing your own it seems like a

  • 25:24

very easy solution easier said than done of course but when it's something that you own by your size I support AK and

  • 25:31

getting every single [ __ ] dime that

  • 25:36

he should get from that building for the services that he is saying say whatever

  • 25:41

you want about act act brought a lot to that shall we brought a lot of viewership to that show right he brought a whole different opinion that no one in

  • 25:48

this room could ever bring you could disagree with that opinion was playable even if it was some [ __ ] that none of us

  • 25:53

believed even a few as hateable but it was what we both worried we both are headed exactly which made that I knew we

  • 26:00

didn't hate each other right that's why it worked here's the thing would ech ech has made

  • 26:05

his empire from YouTube by himself which is also an amazing thing that I always

  • 26:11

give at credit for forever what but my point is for for him for a 26 27

  • 26:18

year-old young man who already did his own thing to worship and idolize some of

  • 26:24

these entertainers like we all did coming up and to now be in a position where you get to meet some of them

  • 26:32

they know your name they're addressing you which we've said is a big thing it I

  • 26:39

am not that way and it means nothing to me and I don't want to kick it with

  • 26:45

nobody however I don't expect act told that same stance because if it was you

  • 26:51

and you know 10 years ago and it was Prince and Michael Jackson terrible hit

  • 27:01

little pump is Michael Jackson in the story Michael Jackson a lot of people

  • 27:09

work I think you got like to be doing a follow this is fun but but so I don't expect him to do that my train of

  • 27:17

thought is always one of you know I can do myself right I can do this alone and whatever pitfall

  • 27:24

y'all about to provide I can just go and rock I have the capital I have the

  • 27:29

audience my thing is always cutting out the middleman always yeah I'm not sure that

  • 27:36

even though excellent excellent is a bigger than theirs damn it or the same well not not complex is entirely as much

  • 27:44

as everyday straight of course yes yes I would say axis is probably close to the same yes oh listen man it was just you

  • 27:52

know what bottom line has no need to much we're just so we can get off to you and acting I really have no idea what

  • 27:59

you an ex relationship really is have y'all talked about this since this negotiation is happen we talk every day okay we talk everything before giving

  • 28:07

away any cards say what you will say and say what you won't where y'all at in an agreement there's one where this is

  • 28:13

going next week I have no idea Joe has nothing to do with anything happening

  • 28:19

with that show currently or how they broadcast okay

  • 28:24

I support act and whatever it is he is attempting to do because he acted ya

  • 28:31

    [ __ ] earned it I don't think I don't think [ __ ] is asking for more than they have earned that's all so I'm not

  • 28:37

gonna get too much into this right now because I mean [ __ ] is telling me I'm

  • 28:42

trolling means you're a troll we're yeah I didn't think I was that big of it

  • 28:47

sometimes oh so many people were telling me nah Joe's back he's taking paternity

  • 28:52

leave I've been telling in for three weeks don't you dare book me a paternity

  • 28:59

leave you gotta want to get out the house for a couple of seconds I mean it

  • 29:04

would be a great new way to start every day struggle yeah they wouldn't pretend to beef and then come back and then

  • 29:11

everyone watches yeah all right so but Ric but that is my thing let's get back

  • 29:16

leash a marketing strategy let's get back into business wouldn't be cliche because I have seen that man marketing

  • 29:22

dollars spent on this show all year whatever nyeeehhh the marketing plan being your

  • 29:27

timeline yes I mean let it be very clear the way that this show is market and promoted this ian's instagram my

  • 29:36

instagram yeah that was a little weird that they like the way they pump the

  • 29:43

Breakfast Club in the city they don't do with y'all somebody in that company has

  • 29:49

to be bright enough and I hold I heart and Verizon very close in companies so

  • 29:56

it shouldn't be something that's crazy to ask somebody that's a degree of Breakfast Club but you know something

  • 30:02

you have to be bright enough to recognize your flagship show is your

  • 30:07

flagship show number one you have to be bright enough to recognize the impact

  • 30:14

that your flagship show has had less than nine months out that's important I

  • 30:20

don't care about what what losses you think you take I don't care I don't care about any of that [ __ ] I don't care what

  • 30:27

what I'm finding in corporate America is a lot of these places act as boys clubs

  • 30:32

there's a boys club in Complex as there isn't and what you mean by boys club say

  • 30:39

any energy there's a secret society of people that are taken care of it's back

  • 30:46

to when we say the labels play musical chairs yes they just hire a friend man you [ __ ] you know each one teach one

  • 30:52

    with that [ __ ] [ __ ] as vendors though packing myself a night in that

  • 30:58

boys club so at the end of the contract what did you think was going to happen the fact that nobody everybody's

  • 31:05

confused it speaks to negligence it speaks to people who have no idea how

  • 31:14

to handle this why would our house it there you know I'm not gonna not be

  • 31:22

credited not be compensated not be made to feel good be treated poorly and then

  • 31:31

[ __ ] just laughed up I had my baby Friday Sunday in emails complex to say

  • 31:38

no no need to worry about a thing Joe will be there bright and early on Monday no what they hit him back and

  • 31:44

that in receipt of your email in first

  • 31:50

of all in receipt receipt of sounds like some male [ __ ] is coming Joe's newly

  • 31:57

expired contract is indeed expired we have moved on if Joe is to come to work

  • 32:05

that would be awesome but he'll accept this rate of pennies and biscuits my

  • 32:11

question to you gentlemen who know me well tell me how I could go to work now you know tell me I mean it would go

  • 32:18

against everything you preached on yes he's on that show yes tell me how I could do it hey here's another plot

  • 32:25

twist for you know what eliminates all of the all of these money and financial

  • 32:32

and all of these concerns your sales team your sales team if your sales team

  • 32:39

could sell anything we wouldn't have a problem everything will be great sorry complex you cannot continue to

  • 32:47

tell me that outer bounds is more profitable you cannot continue to tell me that blueprint is more profitable you

  • 32:53

cannot continue to tell me that sneaker shopping is more profitable guess what even if it is I don't give a [ __ ] it's

  • 33:02

not my job to sell ads right I could call [ __ ] W and me and go

  • 33:09

find a [ __ ] ad sales team but we do a million a day right you can't sell it

  • 33:16

some rows you and you tell me it's my fault I take the hit the boys club wins

  • 33:24

nadeska all of these people up there that are in this exclusive club when Joe

  • 33:31

and act performed well Jim [ __ ] get bumps Joe and act do not Joe is new to

  • 33:38

this employment game but one thing Joe is not is a [ __ ] fool yeah somebody

  • 33:47

stop me when I'm saying something incorrect y'all protecting me from myself but it's

  • 33:53

similar to I just have to give your folio it's similar to what you did at DEP gym you weren't at Def Jam they gave you up lump sum of

  • 34:00

money that you owed back it's the same thing it's not that the end result

  • 34:06

nobody is buying there's nobody on Def Jam was buying Ashanti's album because Joe Budden came out it's not to say it's

  • 34:12

a very it's a million things different way that's with the scenario a record label situation same result it's the

  • 34:18

same boys club don't it's the same it's the same market some people fighting for the artists they want to fight for it

  • 34:24

come on it's the same boys club [ __ ] it's the same end result of course it's different because you're selling music

  • 34:29

and selling content it's different but it's the same end result within the workings of that company I'm glad you

  • 34:36

said that Rory it's the same because while I think your example is is a false parallel what I will say is this our

  • 34:43

show would be the equivalent of putting out a hit single every day a new one

  • 34:50

right wait and let me hear wait don't say we're yet you're the label I come to

  • 34:55

you with a new single every day and it pops it's a smash as the label you

  • 35:03

haven't spent a dime in a year plus the other thing too is sometimes your

  • 35:08

biggest the complex boss does the

  • 35:14

sneaker [ __ ] right I don't know who the complex boss is someone very high in

  • 35:19

complex does that Joe la palma dos sneaker shop and joey Pullman's great shut up in great great guy great piece

  • 35:24

of comp okay so jay-z was the head of Def Jam when he

  • 35:29

was there who is the building fighting for more jay-z their boss in the boys club or the guy that always yells at

  • 35:36

them embrace them and screams at them and speaks poorly of them Rory you got a I see what you're doing but because I

  • 35:43

want to keep this conversation on track let me tell you how they are looking at it and let me quick question were you in

  • 35:49

negotiations no there is there has been zero negotiation this has been Ian and

  • 35:57

myself at complex for the past five to six months trying to figure out what

  • 36:03

would be happening at the end of the term so Joe could properly plan his 2018

  • 36:09

yeah Rory let me let me let me I feel were you going but but let me

  • 36:15

tell you what I think I think that some of these other shows that are

  • 36:21

whitewashed and I think that some of these other shows that don't have the

  • 36:28

    loud tattooed black [ __ ] I think some

  • 36:37

of those other shows are easier to sell Rory I do and I do think the end outside

  • 36:43

of outside of the obvious of that it's who what we're all human beings people that work in these companies are human

  • 36:48

beings they're going to work harder for the people that they like quick example Dame Dash ran up and down those Def Jam

  • 36:53

hallways saying the truth all the time from everyone who I think in this room comes from the same place and moral

  • 36:59

pallet that Dame did we agreed the holidays a lot higher than other people

  • 37:05

yeah and Dane went and told the truth all up and down those hallways and what

  • 37:10

happened people didn't wanna fight for him anymore and that's how the corporate [ __ ] goes that's why you have to play the game when you do that [ __ ] I

  • 37:18

agree I mean you you have to know it oh I'm not playing okay I'm not saying play

  • 37:27

to corporate game I'm agreeing that people kind of receive Joe the same way and they know that they receive him a

  • 37:34

lot of people don't you know particularly like Joe you know Joe is very on his own and both both people

  • 37:40

coming from a place that matters to this actual culture Hagrid and not with these people that are hired and sit at a desk

  • 37:47

all day that don't appreciate it come from yeah and those people are there for a paycheck and want to be in a nice

  • 37:52

environment and that's not the environment that this culture is from I mean you know in all honesty Joe is just

  • 37:58

fighting a losing battle wait wait wait when I say that it's

  • 38:04

because the I I hear your stance and and everything that you're standing for and things you're fighting for but yeah I

  • 38:10

love it alright let me stop you there so let me make my stance very clear our Stephen a

  • 38:15

say this not too long ago and he echoed my sentiments exactly my number one priority when I work

  • 38:22

when I walk into work every single morning is how can I make my boss way

  • 38:29

more money than he's making and number two is once I do that how can I make

  • 38:36

more so I understand that and that's why this is a bit confusing and befuddling

  • 38:42

with complex because I didn't ask them for a lot hmm I wasn't asking for much for what I thought I don't think what

  • 38:48

mentality what how can I make this other person more money and then me well

  • 38:54

incorporate it become a became you know that that is corporate my very first day on the job I told you what I did which

  • 39:00

which ie is now why we're here cuz that's not you which is an honorable thing to be all this of course complex

  • 39:08

did they think cuz all those visuals look great it takes it it takes a lot to film something that early cut it and

  • 39:13

then put it out man let's get complex some some credit collects credit for [ __ ] there are a grand total of 15

  • 39:20

people that work on that show back to my point they are flying John mentality oh no this is where we go wrong this is

  • 39:26

where we go wrong I opened that building every morning I was the first person

  • 39:31

there will you up at 3:00 a.m. anyways but that's why I'm the I take pride in and you know there's some little things

  • 39:37

that I take pride in that I was unable to showcase wrapping like being on time

  • 39:43

being involved in [ __ ] like you know really seeing [ __ ] through well yeah in wrapping you know you go in the studio

  • 39:49

you make album you put that [ __ ] out the fans like it or they don't like it I mean and that's the end that's the end

  • 39:55

and now you go right back in for the next six seven months of your life and hope that that none no let me be clear

  • 40:01

at no point have I thought about wrapping again but that's the problem that is the thing I don't to get in

  • 40:09

business with Joe let me let me make this announcement cuz there's a lot of [ __ ] I'm talking to there's a lot of people that are talking to me I don't I

  • 40:16

don't I'm one of the creators that don't navigate with fear I'm not afraid I'm I

  • 40:27

have no quarrel in my ability to create

  • 40:35

so when you come talk to Joe about anything Joe any business related to Joe

  • 40:41

Jill needs to see that you are as invested as Joe know how Joe sees that

  • 40:49

either in time time time length of contract less thing sports if I'm a

  • 40:56

franchise quarterback you gonna try to lock a [ __ ] up time or money or equity

  • 41:03

or something something there was zero effort on the side of complex or rich or

  • 41:13

Noah or Shawn or anybody up there to try to get this done in a in an applicable

  • 41:20

law in that applicable what's the word I'm looking for uh I don't know where cuz I got a brain freeze but in a in a

  • 41:26

in a correct manner none sorry I take my business elsewhere I'm out you will not do that Joe does

  • 41:34

too much on the ground floor I'm sorry that some of you gentlemen are unaware because you sold your company to Verizon

  • 41:40

and now you don't give a [ __ ] what happens at complex sorry I'm sorry there's y'all really want me if you I

  • 41:47

really want to talk about it that has zero to do with Joe I am NOT in that

  • 41:53

boys club I've received not one red cent of Verizon dollars who the [ __ ] from

  • 42:00

Verizon or tell Joe what to do and talk about and say it huh Joe's under contract man its Joe at the end of the

  • 42:08

day just why we're here Joe Joe Joe I need no help feeling empowered I need no

  • 42:14

help feeling like I can do it on my own I'm not afraid God has been in control

  • 42:20

of all of this this 2017 which was a great amount all that man round of

  • 42:25

applause March 2017 this was a great [ __ ] year in unemployment I project

  • 42:32

2018 to be far greater I'm not worried

  • 42:38

every executive in 70% of the executives

  • 42:43

have hit my phone to say I'm playing dub you did the right thing

  • 42:48

you and I have spoke on the side about you are fighting the good fight do not

  • 42:54

let up that's what they are saying they're also executives complex had

  • 43:01

those two and that's how you had a problem with no complex had Verizon executives I'm of the belief that

  • 43:07

complex there's no such thing as a complex I believe that Verizon is calling complex shots well which is why

  • 43:14

smoking in a bathroom and paying this little insignificant amount of [ __ ]

  • 43:20

money for the services rendered if there were hip-hop culture people in charge

  • 43:26

there would be no conversation to have look on your [ __ ] socials today the

  • 43:31

fans can't believe it now all son believe it so I just I mean

  • 43:36

in closing that corporate [ __ ] if you're not pleasant to be around they're not gonna want to continue to do

  • 43:42

it for example I want to say it was Neal Brennan I was watching an interview he was saying when he picks people sometimes for movies it's not the the

  • 43:49

best person it's the one I can spend a year around I mean I mean and this is the thing here and this is and that's

  • 43:56

where a lot of corporate [ __ ] comes down to you name a white people they want people and Verizon is and white people

  • 44:02

but but so you're missing the graciousness you're missing the greater conversation and I'm attempting to have

  • 44:08

because you keep talking about white people and that's why we're here I know

  • 44:13

at this at the end of this I know what do you think the next step is you and I

  • 44:20

have had conversations on the side I'm playing devil's advocate here in your point because I know I know you'd rather

  • 44:25

not be with them in 2018 I know all the plans you have that we won't talk about here but what I'm not saying I was advocate here no but that's not what my

  • 44:31

point what I'm saying is this that Jeezy interview happened on every day struggle

  • 44:37

right and geez and and you know what listen I want you all to go back and retroactively look at a lot of these

  • 44:43

everyday struggle episodes for the past five six months I've been sitting in that room on that screen using every

  • 44:51

instance that came up in hip-hop to directly relate to complex academics in myself now that you have that

  • 44:57

information it's beautiful how it all played out but let me go to that G's interview because easy as the negative looked at me and

  • 45:04

said this is when I was uh you know questioning his relevance and all types of [ __ ]

  • 45:09

he's the negative looked at me and said listen when the [ __ ] when it when it

  • 45:14

ain't it ain't in you do what you got to do ain't no complaints the beautiful thing is when it ain't working over here

  • 45:22

it's great to have your people to say

  • 45:27

whoa you down my [ __ ] I got you your people to say whoa what was the problem

  • 45:33

over there they didn't understand your mentality what you were saying what you were attempting to do for this culture hold up I got you so let me point out a

  • 45:40

few things man oh man I'm really

  • 45:46

appreciating the text messages that I am receiving from Charlemagne that's number

  • 45:51

one my biggest [ __ ] adversary uh damn near up to you know perception wise when

  • 46:00

you get down and and and and I won't say white people because I love white people but when corporate you know but we know

  • 46:06

you talk about when corporate when corporate people just start treating you like you ain't [ __ ] like you two scum of

  • 46:14

the [ __ ] earth like you gum on the bottom of a [ __ ] ten no no no no no

  • 46:21

not Joe my dignity might into how I sleep at night is important to me

  • 46:28

tomorrow I'm flying to Miami to meet with somebody i'ma tell you how this unemployment [ __ ] is going to go i'ma go

  • 46:34

talk to puff the same way I was talking to Vice the same way I was talking over here the same way I was talking to rust

  • 46:40

the same way the same way we was done same way we talk to type the same way we talking to everybody you gotta have your

  • 46:46

ducks in a row we sort of writing on the wall this jig was up eight years ago ages ages ago when when those Friday

  • 46:54

episodes came with these these guests without Joe where we trying to sell and

  • 46:59

Joe might stop the money that says oh we're trying to replace Joe yeah we're

  • 47:05

looking to get rid of Joe so what do you think happens today as of late when Remy comes in and says 'we Joe's not shooting

  • 47:11

I'm not doing it when [ __ ] when all of these people come in they wait there's no Joe I'm not doing

  • 47:18

it that has to be respected somewhere somewhere or we out or we out so UPS

  • 47:28

what's really yeah I mean every really good benefits freestyles during the

  • 47:34

drops my baby my baby is great my baby is great and he is awesome damn

  • 47:39

how did we get into everyday struggle without planning everyday struggle well we just did we jumped into it oh listen

  • 47:46

my can end with it maybe what no it's over listen I did like how you started that with the way like ex-girlfriend

  • 47:52

start that I'm fine I'm good look at all the stuff I have going on over here but other than that I thought that was really good I thought you I think you

  • 47:59

didn't show that response I don't show it right I think you were profound respectful yes I think you were alright

  • 48:05

was I got everything sincere yeah yeah I didn't know that this would be such like

  • 48:10

a media world win it's like a big world yeah what the [ __ ] is a world with Rory

  • 48:17

should really get a dictionary what uh hold the whole world wind world so I

  • 48:23

said it wrong is that so so now that you got all of that out the way I knew Nate was gonna get rid of yo

  • 48:31

[ __ ] what listen to me I said they gonna get rid of yo ass the moment they

  • 48:36

decide I was trying to say nice small by saying he was tough too well I knew it I tried to tell you [ __ ] months ago Joe

  • 48:42

your asses out of it I knew it you did tell me I did I did did I believe it no

  • 48:48

no I can't believe not read it on your social media I'ma be honest I'm like nah tink so then we got here you saying all

  • 48:55

this I'm like wait this is real you mean like yes okay but I knew it I mean Thank

  • 49:01

You more I knew it why did you know it cuz Joe is Wow not that your while Joe

  • 49:07

is raising Joe a lunatic maniac riot control all of those things but you got to understand that again corporate they

  • 49:13

don't as soon as they find a way where they could remove you because they look at it like we should be thankful that

  • 49:19

they let us in it wasn't bringing that up it was a real arrogance yeah in in in

  • 49:27

him it was hurry for that way I know want to be very clear I want to be as vulnerable as possible I was hurt I was

  • 49:33

disappointed I was saddened that I put so much into building something for the

  • 49:40

year and it was so recklessly mishandled but I mean one day we're gonna get a cup

  • 49:47

here and he's gonna tell you that I said all of this way beforehand I said you could have a hit and [ __ ] it up yeah

  • 49:53

like that's easy to do yeah it's like more to that point and I know we have our honey Palooza jokes but the fact the

  • 50:00

meetings that we've taken with these liquor brands and they have that like what you should be thanking we should be

  • 50:07

on your knees right now begging to meet with us and I'm like Dawg we do your job better than you yeah everyone on your

  • 50:14

marketing team at Hennessey couldn't do one [ __ ] thing we did all right cuz I don't understand the [ __ ] and then yeah

  • 50:19

we should be begging out of me but you go suck a dick well that's what I'm saying somebody at Verizon had to know

  • 50:26

that the ad money that you solicit with Joe and the ad money that you solicit

  • 50:31

without Joe are very different bags they're different bags so at some point

  • 50:37

if you want to keep this ship rolling you have to negotiate that bag you

  • 50:44

cannot just keep with the same bum ass [ __ ] offer that [ __ ] turned down

  • 50:51

five months ago where did you think we would be at five months later the Africans and how they negotiate and how

  • 50:59

they treat view and handle talent says [ __ ] you right well the funny thing

  • 51:04

about crunching numbers to is they look at these other syriza's may be more profitable but there's a thing called

  • 51:10

loss leader loss leader which maybe you might is a loss leader right they should

  • 51:16

know what loss leader is I would think that they would sometimes the biggest

  • 51:22

shouldn't you do is not the most profitable thing yeah of course you know I'm saying like you may look at some

  • 51:27

content as a year based thing and other things there's a ten year thing I'm comfortable losing money for the first

  • 51:32

three years because I know past the five year I'm making that back plus triple or maybe I'm not making [ __ ] off of this

  • 51:39

but this is bringing more yes me that I can make a lot more over here doing it was itching about all

  • 51:45

of this yeah yeah this podcast yeah every week I take a loss I take the loss

  • 51:51

guess what so right one day this wool

  • 51:56

makes it it just makes sense I don't know man I don't know Joe let me say I'm trying to be respectful so imma shut up

  • 52:02

and then when fear that I might say something that is not respectful but I'm not angry I'm not angry at anybody I'm

  • 52:08

not mad at anybody I'm so thankful and glad that I have my people to help help

  • 52:13

me through this and keep my morale high as I stare at my beautiful gorgeous new

  • 52:19

boy hey I'm catching some heat for somebody I tweeted it what are you doing

  • 52:24

I tweeted parenting it goes a whole different way when you love your partner

  • 52:30

why didn't I take that I had no clue why that caused such an up because it's so

  • 52:36

obvious no I think some people took it as I was I was trying to be funny and disrespect my first my Trey's mom and I

  • 52:44

wasn't I wasn't raised mom would probably say the same she would she said in the front every judge woman could say

  • 52:53

the second I say it is slander no but you know this is my and I'm only speaking from personal experience this

  • 52:59

is my first time doing it a different way you know what I mean and and it

  • 53:05

feels good if it feels [ __ ] awesome it felt good to be at the hospital me

  • 53:11

Rory in my dad [ __ ] sitting there crying shot chopping the [ __ ] just and

  • 53:16

an anticipation of this new child it felt good to be in there I wasn't in

  • 53:21

there on the first time it was a c-section I don't think we were allowed to be in there back then my mom says that's a lot but whatever I was in the

  • 53:28

room I was able to support her I was able to get cursed at yelled dad [ __ ]

  • 53:33

yeah yes she was [ __ ] horrible in there I want to tell her to watch her tone but but she was bringing life you

  • 53:43

don't to say all that yeah that's right a lot of spice right cool I'm trying to

  • 53:49

take the wet rag off your forehead right right it's falling but I mean what I've did this to me all of it yeah I was it

  • 53:56

this I was really proud of sin man I was really proud of sin once she learned how to push that baby came right out

  • 54:02

mmm god bless and that was a process man I didn't know it women had to learn how

  • 54:08

to push yeah Mon don't get into this cop always on the podcast my baby tell me

  • 54:15

I'm only eight that ignorant when I'm home I know I will not say that again

  • 54:23

all right fine I won't say a sin will kill me I'm not gonna say it but yeah once you learn how to push that was

  • 54:28

beautiful baby come out screaming healthy gorgeous I don't don't think you know I'm a little biased but I don't

  • 54:33

think my baby had to do that whole baby marinate thing well you got to wait nine months to see how your child's gonna look mmm oh man my boy looks good man he

  • 54:42

looks great you know a lot of kids like aliens and [ __ ] homes didn't really look like an alien he looked like a human boy

  • 54:48

you think when you have a kid you not gonna look at his dick and see what's going on sure my baby boy so yes sins

  • 55:01

eyes let me break this down I think he has sins eyes my face my nose sins mouth

  • 55:07

sins here a lot of sense you really contributed Joe's beard she really did a

  • 55:12

lot that was a while Porto Rico trip yeah listen now he's got a man here in his back like Ian so that says that the

  • 55:22

beer is probably beaten for sure he's going to come so every two weeks it'll come in oh let me tell you something all of this

  • 55:28

and I want to say it but it was kind of you know like he had to shadow you don't shave yeah it was definite coming in I

  • 55:33

did think he had their fresh out the [ __ ] beard is that a known thing Joe a

  • 55:41

lot of I don't know I mean that's what I thought about my baby anyway yeah I just

  • 55:49

want to bring that up say I'm proud I was to say how Rory was a great friend and hung out with me at the hospital how

  • 55:54

I missed the revolt party uh and that's that this is all in for moms that brand the

  • 56:02

brand for moms that it has a great brand their horns for moms products are making

  • 56:12

    [ __ ] really [ __ ] great and simple and easy over there I'm loving it my baby's a sleeper not a crier there's

  • 56:21

less yeah it's lit like I couldn't have chosen a better partner to do this with

  • 56:32

bodied Isis a room so funny your body

  • 56:40

Isis old room is funny but nobody knows it nice room is hard now yo my my my

  • 56:49

newborn has a better room than all of us really never I guess that's how it's supposed to go mmm

  • 56:54

[ __ ] it is fun when you guys gonna do it all right hey I go lie my newborn is

  • 57:00

applying some pressure over in the Rory house no Rory trying to move oh wait a minute we're trying to move into some

  • 57:06

deluxe penthouse an apartment in the sky like The Jeffersons yeah yeah I'm unemployed hmm I might need to put up

  • 57:14

the lights in st. Lucia I should actually want to record the podcast there but we'll talk about that we live

  • 57:19

at any Palooza no hear anything Oh a the deluxe apartment in the sky

  • 57:26

yeah I think I think it'd be kind of sexy up there no more racism brought us

  • 57:31

a lot of our favorite sitcoms true I only say that when I think of The

  • 57:36

Jeffersons because all in the family birthed a lot of great sitcoms one being

  • 57:42

The Jeffersons so how do black people feel about liking some shows that were stem from racism

  • 57:47

god I appreciate it I mean out of some blue gold in the family cuz I watched it

  • 57:54

but I didn't know that they was raised as you get older you realize how racist

  • 57:59

it was hey boy but he was funny he was funny he was definitely funny he was deaf if there's such thing as the

  • 58:04

funny racist here's the thing I feel like people I feel like black like sitcoms can be

  • 58:12

racist - towards white people like we say a lot of jokes and things that only

  • 58:17

we as black people would respect and understand and get and I could see how white people watching the show will be

  • 58:23

like well damn that's kind of you know I mean like I get it it goes both ways I get it I get how like white people can

  • 58:30

watch like an all-black sitcom and feel like they're the outcast like damn like

  • 58:35

we not invited to this like I know when some you don't even understand yeah but the deaths that that's kind of the thing

  • 58:41

with all in a family there was like white people that totally get understood eating and and it was know they got it

  • 58:47

it was because it was for them and us being African American we were kind of like well damn like that's how they feel

  • 58:53

so it could be the same for us like well yeah yeah it got a little more understanding than our hate for y'all

  • 59:00

see ya wait so this gives us into a real interesting conversations different

  • 59:05

strokes had a little undertone oh I mean because it was like like you know

  • 59:11

adopted it was definitely some harlem jokes in there more oh yeah for sure yeah but I'm not really gonna blame mr.

  • 59:17

Drummond because he treated our no and will it's much better than the white girl yeah round of applause I'm no

  • 59:24

[ __ ] mr. Drummond man three episodes

  • 59:29

we never saw the daughter ever mr. Drummond was a real one that is crazy

  • 59:34

the only one last standing I feel like Willis and the white girl died like two

  • 59:40

years after issue I feel like you know all of them things died like Little Joe and when it died during the show yeah rest in peace to all different strokes

  • 59:47

negative that if Joe was dead all the different actors well at different folks

  • 59:57

with different strokes way of the world could be right there body in my sports commentating Boozer got some type of

  • 1:00:04

program in his beard or some [ __ ] you hating um what else is really important what we just now talking about some good

  • 1:00:11

not really our guy who's not really our guy we just like to say his name xxx tunt

  • 1:00:17

Osceola no come on they getting him the fire I didn't get fired from complex too no not vodcast and talk about let's try

  • 1:00:24

to make you feel better and more in your element no that's definitely a element no it's not see that's the other thing

  • 1:00:30

a Tomales point that's how you knew I was getting fired - just go - what am i staying in the [ __ ] complex to talk

  • 1:00:35

about this kid like honestly and no point did they ever say you know what let's throw topic out there do you want

  • 1:00:41

to talk about anyway no sounded bitter

  • 1:00:46

they brought knife wanted just to shut you up I love knife wonder that's my gosh get out the knife oh let me tell you people airhorn hold up

  • 1:00:53

you know what the [ __ ] the computer knows I got fine what I'll say is this

  • 1:01:01

Oh Tony hey Tony all the conflicts between me Oh what were you just saying

  • 1:01:07

is I important ninth was the last of ovaries trying Rorick

  • 1:01:12

Rory made me call up good old Just Blaze yes I did good good old Just Blaze who

  • 1:01:18

Rory and Just Blaze begged me in a Coney Island parking life to perform pump it

  • 1:01:24

up at Henny Palooza while Just Blaze DJing know what I told his blaze [ __ ] you no way I'm not doing

  • 1:01:31

    a [ __ ] thing and if I do it I want a favor back I'm never getting a favor back he said no I got you my [ __ ] he

  • 1:01:39

put that beat on I went up there performed it and goddamn it I'm still looking for just but just is very busy and I love Jeff so Rory made me call

  • 1:01:46

Just Blaze man he's trying to get one of these glory freestyles out of me but the German version not the jay-z wait let's

  • 1:01:52

play glory we're do I have glory I don't think I have it you could use it I'm not I'm not youtubing lord why don't I have

  • 1:02:01

this song okay who has that's definitely a no glory is a youtube song no really

  • 1:02:07

[ __ ] you've got a rap about your [ __ ] new child and now I want to do it way to go Rory not this type we would

  • 1:02:18

need an angry chill turns up a little bit man you see what although maybe pink sky blue my greatest creation was

  • 1:02:24

you is that blue yes looks perfect all

  • 1:02:32

right well when I get old babysit out here is your request I want to hear this because I didn't have a kid I'm

  • 1:02:37

reminding the people that you claim that I wanted to remind not funny I want to remind the people what this song was in

  • 1:02:44

case they were all unfamiliar with [ __ ] a b-side Oh glory glory is hard in the event that

  • 1:02:51

Just Blaze could send over something soulful to make me love my family even more than I already do just said he said

  • 1:02:58

what's wrong said I got something for him but try and do it man listen so or both Damon no no no this is where you

  • 1:03:04

[ __ ] white hipsters get it wrong you a listeners leave Just Blaze Oh leave

  • 1:03:11

them alone I'm cheering privileged information with y'all if y'all go hit

  • 1:03:16

him 20 million times guess what won't happen cuz this going to happen but yeah let me tell you

  • 1:03:22

what's going to happen I will never hear from just again anyway what else is

  • 1:03:29

really important Oh jinx jinx jinx rest in peace rest in peace chinks chinks and

  • 1:03:35

his family and his loved ones finally got some closure that would eBay hope we

  • 1:03:41

hope they're all right for now yeah for now right for now mm-hmm I mean [ __ ] if

  • 1:03:48

you watch Lisa Evers she's pretty much given up all the information I mean oh no I want to say this more will be

  • 1:03:54

revealed but before we get into the serious topic I do want to talk about reporters and I love Lisa is a legend in

  • 1:04:01

New York City love you Lisa I love what reporting live is love I love when

  • 1:04:08

reporters stand outside the [ __ ] precinct and when the persons getting brought in why did you do it tell us why

  • 1:04:15

you did it no come on come on like tell us like why why did you shoot him Lisa Lisa every reporter there the young man

  • 1:04:22

oh now that the cameras here let me tell you let me admit to this whole thing Lisa finally somebody took the time of

  • 1:04:29

my stubborn of things what what did you think is about the two cops are

  • 1:04:34

escorting and also why was Lisa Evers the only person there also I love Lisa cos Lisa

  • 1:04:41

typically is the last person that I care about I think that we care only reported it I think she was only she looked like

  • 1:04:47

she was the only one I don't think she was on the one day because it was a couple videos that came out and it was definitely like other voice but Lisa's

  • 1:04:54

great because Lisa cares about the things we care about and we people don't she has male voices yeah I don't know

  • 1:05:07

what that girl was talking about what to do it so listen these two gentlemen were

  • 1:05:13

apparently already locked up so more were they on a crime spree like do you think you would kill somebody and chill

  • 1:05:19

but no I know it's all crazy you could tell more aureum oh man their only issue

  • 1:05:30

is we be outside you don't be outside we have to answer to these things it's debatable that y'all be outside as much

  • 1:05:37

as y'all say cuz all on or all malls low into the lines he ain't outside I never

  • 1:05:42

    record anything outside I don't I'll be

  • 1:05:48

mad please knock on wood I don't want to put things in the world but dying on live it has to be divorced way to go out I need a drop for every time mall tries

  • 1:05:55

to be mysterious I never do any recording I don't I've never been

  • 1:06:01

outside before alright we can't ask Lisa

  • 1:06:25

out you found these young men but I mean [ __ ] she family but what the cops did not least Lisa heard about it so the

  • 1:06:30

story is for anybody that missed the the Lisa average special is apparently one

  • 1:06:36

of the gentlemen was an up-and-coming MC and he hated on chinks that's all we got

  • 1:06:42

and they were performing at the same venue and the gentlemen

  • 1:06:47

they said followed Cheng's for three weeks waiting for the right time to do any said it was some old jail beef they

  • 1:06:53

had I think yeah I heard that too now I take all of this stuff with a grain of salt because when the when how

  • 1:06:59

old could wasn't the kid 26 seems like my age shakes was in jail I was wasn't

  • 1:07:05

of age to be in jail well it was two guys that were arrested okay I thought they were both around 26 27 I mean he

  • 1:07:13

might be I don't know no one was one was older okay one was 26 one was 33 that

  • 1:07:19

would make more sense Shinx is how old some we're rallies yeah yeah so that early thirties that sounds

  • 1:07:25

about about right um I'm just glad that that that this is over you know too many times we have lost somebody and hip hop

  • 1:07:32

and we never get a gun we never get closure so so the fact that you know I

  • 1:07:37

want to commend Lisa Evers I want to commend everybody who really stuck with this case when it could have easily been

  • 1:07:43

forgotten about because that's what they like to do to us young successful black people ever since I talked to puff I'm

  • 1:07:48

just been saying like black excellence money y'all feel like black excellence I think it was I think I think it was that

  • 1:07:55

IG story that you did when he was like I'm awake I have the same 24 hours that you just one meeting done next the next

  • 1:08:00

one you let's go I think maybe he saw that and then realized that maybe you was of the cloth were of the of the

  • 1:08:06

Ciroc boys I have never said what if you get to Miami and puff just want you to be strapped it's lit which Ciroc that's important

  • 1:08:17

bro reference botella controlling I'm not gonna get in every picture with friendship off you go making your own

  • 1:08:24

Newport flavors around menthols rock when you can't get a smoke

  • 1:08:30

and life's a joke with when you're when you're in the complex office and they

  • 1:08:35

won't let you smoke in the bathroom you can take a sip of mentos rock cause when

  • 1:08:41

you're in complex but it's pretty complex have you some mental Sarat every

  • 1:08:47

    day show you struggle [Laughter]

  • 1:08:54

everyday struggle have you seen the

  • 1:09:03

Surat commercials when they all in tuxedos in Vegas going to all the cool spots with all the bad [ __ ] is gonna be Joe and a bunch of people in four

  • 1:09:09

rocks going to [ __ ] Dunkin Donuts getting coffee pouring it into their coffee flavor Ciroc might be late

  • 1:09:15

it's gonna be me and the owner melody dancing melody you never worry better

  • 1:09:25

than everybody huh many a nights Rory was saying past the who I still smoke hookah I'm not

  • 1:09:34

drinking hookah flavored Ciroc how do you know cuz I know I don't drinks the ROC period hey I thought I wouldn't

  • 1:09:40

invite one day is safe for you next day

  • 1:09:45

you never know my G um so yeah they caught chances murderers I'm really happy about that round of applause if

  • 1:09:53

y'all want to get into this net net new roots Newton nutrition I'm someone who's

  • 1:09:58

trying to do your own new Joe Budden drop I got a lot of beefs on Twitter when I asked about what it was because

  • 1:10:04

white people are supposed to know what it is basically I mean I was gonna read up on it a little bit but I mean it from

  • 1:10:11

when I read it's been around for years it just wasn't a big thing that we spoke about and it's just basically saying for

  • 1:10:17

certain services will wildfire we might just be charged more to receive faster

  • 1:10:23

Wi-Fi well I guess are they [ __ ] with the creators again yeah like that so

  • 1:10:28

that's all the basically like boom from what I read I could be wrong but that's what I took from it like you're gonna check they're gonna charge services for

  • 1:10:35

faster Wi-Fi to companies like garage and they're taking a quality away from the Internet they actually potentially I

  • 1:10:42

I personally don't think it's gonna make that much of a difference because all these companies make too much money off

  • 1:10:49

the [ __ ] that's happening on the internet if they aren't making money like Twitter for instance or Facebook they're not about to start shade

  • 1:10:54

charging from Facebook or Twitter people make too much money off their corporations included yeah so it may

  • 1:10:59

make some change I don't think it's really ultimately gonna affect well I think I think Witter

  • 1:11:05

has been trying to find a way to make more money that's true I think this is another thing that's just gonna affect bigger corporations more than it's gonna

  • 1:11:11

affect us which is why the corporation's are beefing about it I don't think it's going really well I was asked I was asking Rory the other

  • 1:11:18

day you know Netflix tweeted did they stand with the creators and they're against this and I

  • 1:11:24

get that but Netflix and Amazon and these companies would stand to make more

  • 1:11:31

money if what if it went through or if it did not go through did you not go to

  • 1:11:36

I think I think the what did she be able to try it potentially charge like

  • 1:11:42

Verizon or whoever could charge Netflix more because they use more bandwidth yeah then say because more people sizes

  • 1:11:53

yeah more bandwidth the same so all the

  • 1:11:59

sites we like then they're gonna charge us in taxes for potentially pretty much yeah and they're gonna slow down your

  • 1:12:06

[ __ ] wife Eileen the same way so like your Wi-Fi package might be trash more

  • 1:12:11

like four dollars more a month why should be going up five dollars a year ten dollars a year every but a lot of

  • 1:12:16

these stories and see if you like they're trying to cut us off from the world and they don't want us to speak to each other [ __ ] up that's not what's

  • 1:12:22

happening yeah weird I don't want speaking things anyway but let me let me tell you some listen AT&T is the same

  • 1:12:28

[ __ ] group of scum buckets that uh said well if you if you have your

  • 1:12:33

contract with us for a certain amount of time you will be grandfathered in and you will have unlimited data and

  • 1:12:40

streaming for the rest of your life and then they slowed everything your phone down without telling you and it is how to sue them so what I'm saying is I do

  • 1:12:48

believe that data streaming only [ __ ] I've been saying for a while now they're trying to figure this [ __ ] out

  • 1:12:53

yeah same way they've been trying to figure out weed right ah and and I know

  • 1:12:58

for some of you that has no correlation at all to me it does not to me it does

  • 1:13:05

boy I'm scared of the world that I'm leaving to my children you dig up Jesus listen man yeah the aliens are coming so

  • 1:13:12

it don't really matter tell me more about that because every I've ever mentioned the aliens coming on

  • 1:13:17

this show mall just uh and and you say something crazy now I'm looking at some beautiful HD picture of a [ __ ] flying

  • 1:13:25

    sorceress look like I robot sorceress yes I don't know I don't know I don't

  • 1:13:30

know bro well what is that Rashad the former head of secret you all hunting program thinks that aliens are real

  • 1:13:37

which is a wild headline former head of secret UFO hunting program things aliens

  • 1:13:43

are real that's a wild head why were you

  • 1:13:49

well we all know aliens exist right now both a lot of people don't think aliens is cool but all right what with the

  • 1:13:56

former head of the Pentagon's secret 22 million dollar UFO hunting program says aliens may have already visited the

  • 1:14:02

earth my personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone all right so who wins the

  • 1:14:10

aliens or the robots in the future when we all go because that's who's gonna probably happen if I have the magnets ok

  • 1:14:19

parks has been abducted before I understand yes he has information that he is not willing to share at this

  • 1:14:24

moment what's the aliens plot the magnets the robots ability and once the aliens pull out the magnet they don't

  • 1:14:37

appreciate that joke they stupid that's funny the aliens are gonna pull out the

  • 1:14:42

magnets and then the [ __ ] party's always hold on so when we were talking about us first the robots

  • 1:14:48

why we didn't come up with magnets dude it went under the radar yeah bars did but y'all's busy trying to

  • 1:14:53

kick him off and y'all want to get rid

  • 1:14:59

of his mic y'all like complex me Marxist try to save the [ __ ] world over here

  • 1:15:04

you never hate it my money is probably on the aliens as well depending on what alien it is if

  • 1:15:11

it's the stranger things alien and robots are gonna stomp the [ __ ] out of that low 11 girl so see we

  • 1:15:17

we let fake we didn't going to the moon if the aliens come all the way here there definitely be doper than us and

  • 1:15:23

smarter than us and have cooler [ __ ] than us we're all doomed if you could pick the year

  • 1:15:28

were born in don't use this to [ __ ] show off your white privilege but yeah but you go really wait for me

  • 1:15:34

oh no I mean even in the future not really more so to pass I guess if you could pick a year in the future what

  • 1:15:40

year what year would you I'm gonna go through I'm gonna start with the past because they already trying to get rid of the internet and I'm cool I don't

  • 1:15:45

want to be around when the Internet's not around now these jobs is rolling around his grave Internet yeah around

  • 1:15:53

for the Jesus era would have been curious I've might have been in the Bible if I would have been like hey stop

  • 1:15:58

like he's kind of dope he's gonna do all these great [ __ ] I would have tried to go then like the day he was getting

  • 1:16:04

walked to the crucifix I would have been like Saint Rory later on all right yeah I would have prayed to me because

  • 1:16:10

he'd been like that's the guy that stopped Jesus from doing all that [ __ ] I will never ask again ever ever again let

  • 1:16:19

me ask one of my black friends oh ma you me what what year would you go to if you

  • 1:16:26

could somehow preserve life wasn't your initial question by the way you said

  • 1:16:32

what people I'm you Internet and then you answered with some stupid [ __ ] and I said I was thinking the future and then you went to the past still because you

  • 1:16:39

[ __ ] got kicked off the track to understand what I'm saying that's what I go to if I had to preserve life like if

  • 1:16:46

you could go somewhere and in my brain I still think this is a possibility that we could go and freeze ourselves and then unbe unthawed at a certain point

  • 1:16:53

mmm and be fine why can't we do that so Austin Powers till it's cold

  • 1:16:59

that was a funny joke that was funny it was cold yes but I'm anymore today yeah

  • 1:17:07

anyway that we went on and I don't it ever way of being able to keep your organs and your brain and your heart

  • 1:17:13

they freeze your body that's confusing your brain would stop because no blood

  • 1:17:19

is flowing through it cuz your body is good mm-hmm your brain stops that's it

  • 1:17:25

everything should stop I think they should figure out a way to turn everything back on though yeah but

  • 1:17:31

that's once the brain I don't know that they haven't figured out a way to turn everything back on I'm pretty sure

  • 1:17:36

they're studying the brain to do that but they just found some [ __ ] that was mad old I remember what they found some I really gotta start

  • 1:17:42

doing my own research I mean to preserve

  • 1:17:48

life you would have to I think go to the past no because everybody that's offering us a bag for this podcast is

  • 1:17:54

that I can't start another podcast yeah I don't understand how people are making

  • 1:17:59

a [ __ ] away in corporate America I've been trying to get good business done

  • 1:18:04

everybody's giving me a hard time let's get out of my way okay

  • 1:18:12

but you'd want to go to the future if you could go tell me how you'd preserve life in the future

  • 1:18:18

no preserve life today to make you love up in the future is what I'm say I would

  • 1:18:23

want to pop up in the future if I had to pick up date in the past I discussed this with sin she would definitely pop

  • 1:18:29

up in Woodstock she is so mad that she was not at Woodstock saying any time a song from then from then a drug from

  • 1:18:37

then I mean Jimmy dough the co-chairs

  • 1:18:45

kind of the coach Rome all well know was different because of laws and [ __ ] was

  • 1:18:51

free and [ __ ] like that back then everybody was more you know I mean open with what they were doing is she like

  • 1:18:57

that but I mean for the most part it's it's typically the same [ __ ] though you hear girls do dress like the 70s now

  • 1:19:05

women wear a lot of fashion from the 70s in the 80s now mall today is not Woodstock I mean [ __ ] is popping pills

  • 1:19:13

doing acid old side [ __ ] like it is but they're not sitting on the grass doing it well at Coachella they are that's what I'm trying to tell you I see it on

  • 1:19:19

every year when pictures pop off from Coachella chicks is looking like they trying to go back to the 60s in the 70s

  • 1:19:25

I laugh at it because I see what they're trying to do but it is like this is a different time have you ever [ __ ] a girl from Coachella

  • 1:19:31

from Coachella no I've never been to Coachella okay I don't think I've been across y'all either I didn't know Coachella was

  • 1:19:37

such a big thing until Frank Ocean told us he was going and by the way when East

  • 1:19:44

when he said that I was like word hole performer we're without at home was there yeah like people didn't know about Coachella

  • 1:19:50

so Frank Ocean said it what do you offer but they can't [ __ ] a Coachella the way they did it would stop because that's no

  • 1:19:56

fries right yeah I think the STDs were wild herb actively just didn't exist see

  • 1:20:03

oh wait a minute what no but it's but

  • 1:20:11

you don't have forever definitely crash course the vid s T's now than it was back then anything yeah

  • 1:20:21

anything you cost sexually back then you could get a shot in now they got [ __ ] that they just gonna buy listen man this

  • 1:20:26

is your ticket out I just want to take you about it bro sorry hopefully they

  • 1:20:31

can freeze your body and to put you out in the future yeah and then you going down with that gonorrhea in the future I'm not dying

  • 1:20:38

for no STD that's trash sorry sorry sorry bro I'll beat this one out oh you

  • 1:20:44

site oh no no we did that if there's

  • 1:20:49

something really big that happened pause mmm happen what do y'all think about

  • 1:20:55

this it the cell sales of em's album they projected at 250 to 300 some like

  • 1:21:01

that yes somewhere around here yes surprised a tie huh yeah he's projected

  • 1:21:10

    at 250 260 SPS 180 190 k album so

  • 1:21:15

streams 250 actual album sales 180 no no

  • 1:21:26

no wait no you don't add them together saying he's doing that and the other number is albums okay I got you virtual

  • 1:21:34

sense okay yeah I'm sold 50% of his number why did why are you surprised

  • 1:21:41

that it did that much mall I mean let me hear from you I mean I know how you felt about the project but give me some type

  • 1:21:48

of analysis I didn't I was I'm shocked to see that in this climate musically

  • 1:21:55

that people still support Eminem because I don't think that he makes

  • 1:22:00

music for this climate and what people listening to now more people want to

  • 1:22:05

hear now and you know you we're we're we're our own program directors now you

  • 1:22:10

know I mean like we you know we listen to whatever we want to listen to we plug it into our cars and to you know the

  • 1:22:17

cred we got Bluetooth in the house whatever like you know me we don't listen to radio anymore and I don't

  • 1:22:22

think M is making music that people would want to play in their house or in

  • 1:22:28

their car I even think down not not that many people I'm sure people know obviously

  • 1:22:33

people have been tweeting me they love the album they thought I was crazy for saying it wasn't a good album which you know music is subjective and it's you

  • 1:22:39

know it's your opinion but I don't think that imminent I mean I'm just I'm kind

  • 1:22:44

of confused and I'm gonna stop saying I wanna I wanna stop saying music is trash on artists make music that I don't like

  • 1:22:50

I want to start saying it's just not for me I used to be nicer before I got fired

  • 1:22:56

but honestly because some people some people really like the music so I can't

  • 1:23:01

just say it's trash like this is not for me I don't see how people are listening to this Eminem album and liking it no

  • 1:23:15

because we you when you think about everything that's going on and you listening to the music now and artists

  • 1:23:20

that are creating music and dissent is this Eminem just came in as like I don't understand that he came and and you

  • 1:23:26

grown you changed but you come in the game hating pop music and pop acts but

  • 1:23:32

then the last three or four albums your main records are with pop artists right

  • 1:23:38

then you're one of the greatest rappers ever but you don't typically make rap

  • 1:23:44

music like why isn't eminent making rap music here on a primo track why isn't he

  • 1:23:50

on the Just Blaze strike why isn't he on a you know these real hip hop producers like I don't mean it's not rap music oh

  • 1:23:56

I'm nice no but it's not rap but it's more like pop rap remember when we looked at the transport like rock rap i

  • 1:24:02

said emma is kind of in the point where he's able to do that where he could go get with redmond and the people that we

  • 1:24:08

all know he actually likes except he's doing edgy and records instead yeah like I just don't I don't get it you know I mean and

  • 1:24:15

it's not saying it's it's not you know the worst music I've ever heard it's not that's a couple records on there that are cool I just wanted to hear em

  • 1:24:22

actually make hip hop and make rap like me to this rock rap but electric guitars

  • 1:24:27

on every I just can't get in that [ __ ] is too loud is I just don't want to hit it I've been waitin play that music

  • 1:24:35

samples are by the rock and roll was like Rory took the words out of my mouth that was insane somebody should have let em know that I

  • 1:24:43

love rock and roll sample has been buried and it's over in hip hop you're

  • 1:24:49

like if I wanted to hear that I would just by Kid Rock Album like I don't want to hear that from him and him I don't buy a Run DMC I'm here I can't go let

  • 1:24:56

him know no he can't rap like no but I'm just saying if I'm with that did the music the Santa type of by the way yeah like

  • 1:25:03

if I wanted dad you know I mean when I hear Eminem I want to hear him get off on some real hip-hop but I think that's

  • 1:25:09

Emma's way of paying homage and now and I say that to say like like pump it up for me I got clown for pumping up and it

  • 1:25:16

was the biggest song in my career so they killed me for it but when I first got that beat boy I thought it was a hip-hop I was on some hip-hop shits in

  • 1:25:23

the air but because of how it performed get it seen as a joke so I'm just trying

  • 1:25:30

to see if I can make that correlation with em cuz I'd know him loves the Beastie Boys right yeah for him and the

  • 1:25:38

Beastie Boys hip hop mm-hmm but today I don't know that's what I'm

  • 1:25:43

saying music it's just the muse know though is I don't think Eminem has ever made the album he wants to make mmm won't give me

  • 1:25:51

more than that why shouldn't I I think when he got with Dre he was at a point and granted

  • 1:25:56

Marshall Mathers LP classic Slim Shady LP be personally classic but not everyone say that I think those albums

  • 1:26:02

he did he was with Dre he was gonna follow Dre's lead I think he likes that music that music is amazing but M has

  • 1:26:07

never given us that we know he's the biggest hip-hop nerd in the world M has never made a hip-hop album and into me

  • 1:26:12

this point the same way I said with J 444 he could finally do that vulnerable [ __ ] as an adult that he's always wanted

  • 1:26:18

to do that he did on that album M I thought at this point could make that album that he's always wanted to make as

  • 1:26:24

a rap kid since he was 12 I don't think there's fear I think with with infinite when he was rapping like a Z he was

  • 1:26:31

having more fun than he ever had before

  • 1:26:36

especially the in-between was an encore and the other one yeah he made all the

  • 1:26:42

music himself I believe he produced it oh no no but he was in he had to deliver to a whole new audience now he was

  • 1:26:49

telling to hide his career where he had to deliver to the pop world he didn't have to do this one this actually I

  • 1:26:55

think yeah he's definitely making the music he wants to make I don't think so but I think that it I think he said in

  • 1:27:00

the Beyonce in that Beyonce song I think he was saying I don't want to do this [ __ ] yeah but I feel like Eminem is so

  • 1:27:06

big of an artist if he doesn't want to do something he's not doing it I disagree Eminem is my point Eminem

  • 1:27:11

doesn't have to even put out music if he doesn't want to Eminem no I have to do a [ __ ] thing of course that's right so

  • 1:27:18

he made to make a music yeah but if he goes in the studio makes a record that's not it's because he wanted to make that

  • 1:27:24

record I just think that m's ear is not with you know he's not listening closely

  • 1:27:29

and paying attention to what's going on right now with music with the current sound and I'm not saying you got a change in adjust to the sound but you

  • 1:27:36

got a connoisseur to cater to where people's ears are right now yeah there's

  • 1:27:44

plenty of successful people that are still doing sound do you think the older sound or whatever maybe I haven't even

  • 1:27:50

heard the album because I don't want to uh it doesn't cater superhero yeah but

  • 1:27:57

the way I feel about this amount ho went for what people in 2017 want to hear I

  • 1:28:03

don't think he did know but but music was still good audible it was still

  • 1:28:09

something that you would want to hear and listen to like just a musical I think the greats don't have to listen to what's going on I think they can just

  • 1:28:15

create in their own space and be the narrative like Kendrick Kendrick does not I mean Danny did a tiny tiny bit but

  • 1:28:22

Kendrick don't sit and listen to what it's going on no but the men's remakes that's what the music is still current it's still like

  • 1:28:29

you know what people are listening to like of course that it is like dirty and em is 45 wait why how do I know Kendra

  • 1:28:36

doesn't listen music no he definitely showed I'm saying he doesn't sit and listen to him it's a

  • 1:28:44

butterfly came out he didn't listen to what future was doing ago well I guess this is what the kids like oh yes that's not it but what I'm saying is made his

  • 1:28:50

own sound like he's making like Kendrick is blending genres he's making jazz with no gospel hip-hop like he's blending

  • 1:28:56

music there's more to me em just sounds like he's just in a garage with his boys

  • 1:29:03

that he has a band and they're just making music and it's like he's just rapping over that and it's like I get it

  • 1:29:10

so some people might love it but me personally I don't want to hear that from him let me tell you what I what I

  • 1:29:17

thought I thought that and this is why you know I'm never mad at anything that happened with slaughterhouse because for

  • 1:29:24

me as someone who truly loves Royson em I'm so might as a fan sued and I love

  • 1:29:30

them as humans us versus family to me but for someone who is such huge fans of

  • 1:29:37

them both the slaughterhouse deal I was made whole from the fact that em and

  • 1:29:43

Royce were made whole through that deal let me say that that's that's really

  • 1:29:48

important that's one two for me right I

  • 1:29:54

thought that that relationship would have really helped em a lot at that specific time Eminem has been Eminem his

  • 1:30:03

entire life and career I think we're here today because when

  • 1:30:09

you are one thing for so long and you pay no mind to not pay no mind but you

  • 1:30:18

don't actually attempt to grow it or do some things differently you reap you

  • 1:30:25

reap the you reap what you sow here Royce is very in tune with thing and I'm

  • 1:30:31

not saying to him is not because I'm unaware but voice is very in tune with things artistically musically with

  • 1:30:39

production with pockets he's just very in tune with with what's current and I

  • 1:30:45

think M was kind of banking on again I don't know him personally but

  • 1:30:51

this is just my point of view I think that that whole freestyle at the cypher should going at Trump I think that was a

  • 1:30:58

marketing I think we got I think he was banking on Trump responding I think he

  • 1:31:03

was banking on getting into a back-and-forth with him you know me and it when it didn't happen it was kind of

  • 1:31:08

like the music was already recorded so it's like yeah well this is what I got and to that point and back to the album

  • 1:31:15

sales I think M not at M doesn't rely on a single but he does rely on holy [ __ ]

  • 1:31:20

Eminem's making music all the way down to the most recent would love the way you lie with Rihanna like you'd walked in every department store and heard that

  • 1:31:26

mmm didn't have that disco round I don't know if it already did with the Beyonce record yeah he did he did he did he did

  • 1:31:35

I'm saying he didn't have that this time so he kind of falls back and I think a lot of the people that were buying those

  • 1:31:40

tens of millions of Records 10 years ago grew up and I don't think they live on the Internet I think that's families

  • 1:31:47

they don't want to even know that I mean of course they know and came out but they're not rushing the way they used to cuz it's not an M takeover you don't

  • 1:31:54

hear Eminem everywhere anymore you know what else was disturbing to me the same thing I'm saying about Royce I thought

  • 1:32:00

that when Kendrick started to dominate that some different would happen you

  • 1:32:06

know what I mean you know being in house and I mean let's look at Dre Dre who I

  • 1:32:12

think is one of the most brilliant minds we've ever seen in music you know I don't think we've said before I don't

  • 1:32:18

    think it's a mistake that you go from [ __ ] NWA to snoop to [ __ ] gone

  • 1:32:27

[ __ ] to you you the chronic snoop you

  • 1:32:37

the whole west coast am give don't 50 and then Kendrick I mean in no order but

  • 1:32:45

what I'm saying is I thought that it would be the relay race pass the baton kind of let's get this let's get this

  • 1:32:52

going now - let's use this team to help this team each one teach one is what I thought and you know Kendrick just

  • 1:32:59

skyrocketed to a different level one and it was it was just differ I don't think I'm speculating here of

  • 1:33:05

course I also think straight was speculate I also think Dre saw the great people around Kendrick it wasn't like he

  • 1:33:12

was like alright why I need to keep this kid right under my arm or they could get [ __ ] up like he had a really good team

  • 1:33:18

that knew exactly what they wanted to do with this kid let me provide some great music in the meantime if y'all need some

  • 1:33:24

guidance let me know I don't think Kendrick was in need the way maybe Snoop

  • 1:33:30

was in need just being some kid by himself are we share a stepbrother as a

  • 1:33:37

friend introduced me to Dre alright teach me how to actually make horses or that I think Kendrick had a

  • 1:33:42

really good support system around him so I don't know Dre was as needed at that time I think that the Eminem we're

  • 1:33:49

witnessing now is when we saw Mike at the tail in his career Colby at the tail

  • 1:33:55

end he has flashes here and there you know it's like okay but no Michael

  • 1:34:03

Jordan it's kind of like yeah I don't want to see him you know continue to put this type of music out it is for that

  • 1:34:09

reason you just named it I have I have yet to listen to this album yeah I tried to listen to it leaving the hospital

  • 1:34:15

with Rory with Rory I was trying to listen to em and Jeezy's album Rory just

  • 1:34:20

hated on everything I have to hear him right now geez you're having a baby having a baby right now we're listen to

  • 1:34:27

Jeezy I feel like listen to GV now em was on first because what I will say

  • 1:34:35

while I haven't heard the album I heard that believe record and and I felt good

  • 1:34:41

was the other record there's a key a some creative ideas on there that made me feel really good about how he creates

  • 1:34:49

and his brain you know they spoke about one specific record if you want if you still have the Rory memo have substance

  • 1:34:58

there was a really interesting song on say what you will about music no I won't

  • 1:35:06

talking so that's when I just cut it in half there's a record called bad husband which is kind of em's 444

  • 1:35:15

okay new warriors I know us the best part no I cannot wait so my cousin's

  • 1:35:21

sneaky I can't wait do you have a kid there's a record on there called bad husband which I thought was an

  • 1:35:27

interesting concept that probably has been put into hip-hop where we all praise ourselves for being very very

  • 1:35:32

good fathers but never good husbands and while we always say like alright well

  • 1:35:37

even though it didn't work out with that chick at least I'm a good father which tries to erase all the shitty things we

  • 1:35:43

did with the woman that game was that kid I thought that really interesting

  • 1:35:48

interesting concept to do in hip-hop and it was a good song I mean it's it's a poppy record but em kills it and it's a

  • 1:35:55

topic that I don't think hip-hop has ever talked about conceptually and I think if hoe would have done one of those which he kind of did with 444 but

  • 1:36:01

he went super deep and went wait mm the whole thing of course with the Kim's situation but it was something that I

  • 1:36:07

think doesn't really get talked about I think conceptually mm proved that he's still there I think what it boils down

  • 1:36:15

to is do you want to hear this style of music or not anymore

  • 1:36:20

um and I'm seeing mixed reviews I'm seeing I'm seeing mixed reactions some

  • 1:36:26

some people were really loving album some people saying it's not for them I cannot give you a review because like I

  • 1:36:32

said I was afraid I was afraid so I didn't do my due diligence I am gonna go listen to that album um I haven't

  • 1:36:39

listened to much new music yet right is anyone else other new music oh Jesus

  • 1:36:44

yeah geez young black the job did y'all let's do it Jesus yeah I like it I like

  • 1:36:49

a couple records on there I don't like the entire project but I like a few records on there I like more records on

  • 1:36:55

there than I thought I would I like it I do um oh [ __ ] yeah black thought all

  • 1:37:04

right if you were to break it down time stamp wise add in breaks between songs and hooks there might have been an album

  • 1:37:11

I've listened to that Black Thought freestyle at least 90 times in its entirety so let me say that and I'm

  • 1:37:17

gonna listen to it more I'm gonna hear more that's the other thing that made me really upset about being fired

  • 1:37:24

they had a can who kid breakdown the Black Thought freestyle if that don't tell you that Verizon is

  • 1:37:31

calling shots Verizon don't know that we don't want to hear ACK and who kid

  • 1:37:36

breakdown the black thought freeze to act knows that if oh my god the thing

  • 1:37:45

about that black though freestyle a male mall no don't do isn't amazing job no do

  • 1:37:51

I don't that's what doing it I'm just it's just the the reactions they didn't know more come on it's like the kids

  • 1:37:57

didn't know who didn't know but they still don't know like I think that they said they heard that and then like oh he

  • 1:38:03

killed that but they still don't know black thought like they don't know the roots like so when I heard it I was like

  • 1:38:08

oh yeah I was more impressed by other things and forget what he was saying I was more impressed with his

  • 1:38:14

pronunciation is his breath control and I can't I can't speak cadence trace yeah

  • 1:38:19

like in the pocket that he was I was start sweating to a minute that's what I

  • 1:38:27

was in a [ __ ] like that is impressive to me like but what he was saying I'm like that's blood we can't say that because I

  • 1:38:36

don't think I don't think you're doing this mall but I do think this is the problem with hip-hop fans and the music

  • 1:38:41

we love it's expected yeah well no not that every time some really dope [ __ ] finally breaks out we go from

  • 1:38:48

    complaining like I wish the world will [ __ ] with this [ __ ] with this and then they start [ __ ] with oh now y'all on this I think that's a problem as hip-hop

  • 1:38:55

that's sure we do mall Rory's right like I feel like when we follow follow now y'all on it like no it's what you wanted

  • 1:39:02

no no everyone that's definitely worth without work you know I would want to

  • 1:39:07

hear when you hear freestyling but I'm just laughing that you know all of the people that's going to social media

  • 1:39:13

wasn't it I'm like that's black to it like who I would have been upset if he didn't do that like to me that would

  • 1:39:19

have been like the [ __ ] to tweet about like but no all do praise and salute to what he did but it's like I was more

  • 1:39:27

impressed when Tory went up there and wrapped the way he did because I didn't think Tory Lanez could do that but

  • 1:39:32

there's a lot of these people that are unfamiliar with black thought of what he does so they didn't totally understand it they didn't understand I was laughing

  • 1:39:38

at the the storm that came after it like yachting already know that black thought that's what he does like there's

  • 1:39:44

this well-known people do people have mentions right now talking about well Blair her black daughter's yes right

  • 1:39:50

Black Thought had just restyled recently at sway with Method Man and he bodied

  • 1:39:55

that but it wasn't this yes this one he made a very concentrated effort to let

  • 1:40:02

y'all know that we are not him yeah cannot do what he does make it look like

  • 1:40:11

alien scary tight though the hater and me and I'm glad that y'all said that

  • 1:40:16

because following this next comment I want to get to the alien list but as I

  • 1:40:22

was watching that as an MC the competitive nature in me you want to try to hate on it a little bit so somewhere

  • 1:40:29

around minute six I felt like the flow got a little offbeat for three bars

  • 1:40:35

right three bars in here heads going and

  • 1:40:40

it was so dope that I had to talk myself out of the hate you know where you just

  • 1:40:47

hate the hate is just unwarranted be like Joe - [ __ ] said thirty million words in two bars just now and only lag

  • 1:40:55

a half a millisecond and caught right back up in the beginning of the first like I was analyzing it like homework

  • 1:41:02

which led me to where do where do we rank black thought it's an unfair question don't answer it nobody answer

  • 1:41:09

nobody answer it the young people black thought has classic albums the roots go do your [ __ ] Gogol damnit I don't

  • 1:41:16

know black thought asked a classic albums he's got recently not go back to

  • 1:41:22

the 90s recently he has got uh hit singles yeah multiple yeah and he

  • 1:41:31

raps better than all of us and he took live instrumentation alive band and made

  • 1:41:40

them pop the best live band hip hop has seen they're still here what are the

  • 1:41:46

best live bands we have seen period period there's from till here amazing Questlove just tweeted the other

  • 1:41:52

day he was like Yoda Atlanta Airport it's [ __ ] why and I was afraid because it seemed like it was some

  • 1:41:58

terrorism [ __ ] we got to protect black boy and West love to piggyback off your

  • 1:42:03

point one of my friends was one of those people that was like I mean I always heard a black thought but I was never big on him come on cam come on okay and

  • 1:42:13

they were same as like nah I appreciated that freestyle thought his dope but you know I'm not the guy that just wants to hear all that rapping I said the genius

  • 1:42:21

of black thought is if you listen to the roots he dumps it down sometimes he doesn't always do the super lyrical [ __ ]

  • 1:42:27

like he's really good at doing melodic [ __ ] cuz he's with a live band he has to go off all that he can't just sit with a

  • 1:42:33

beat and rap he has to go off what the band is doing so black thought is much more of just that super lyrical genius

  • 1:42:40

in the sense that he can make records like really good records so let's get to what I call and this is a list that I

  • 1:42:48

don't bring up or ever mention because it's you can't quite a few can't like

  • 1:42:53

it's tough it's tough when y'all when y'all start talking about the best rappers to ever live I'm aware that you

  • 1:43:00

mean in totality this is an alien list though the alien list supersedes

  • 1:43:10

whatever criteria you need for you to make that other list because the alien

  • 1:43:16

list these people are doing things with words that none of us can do black

  • 1:43:23

thought and and this is in no particular order I'm just giving you the people and gentlemen that I believe to be true

  • 1:43:32

aliens I will start that with black thought he's on that list I'm also going

  • 1:43:40

to put let me put the bigger names on this list I'm putting em on the alien list because he can do things with

  • 1:43:45

    worries we can't I I hate rap God but I mean I can't do it that's a that's a

  • 1:43:50

alien type of record I was man he put that record out but it showcases his ability both Andre and big boy are on my

  • 1:43:58

alien list both of them are there interesting pics but no matter there is absolutely alien I think boys

  • 1:44:05

I think Big Boy is an alien tutto I've always said we just don't acknowledge it because Andres an alien and unicorn

  • 1:44:11

that's what big boy does with words that some other people we just can't do big

  • 1:44:17

boy is a phenomenal rapper that happens to be in a group of the unicorn Lupe is on my alien list boy is he high cool

  • 1:44:24

with that boy is he high ah lows is also on my alien list not as well-versed in

  • 1:44:31

love let's take our word for it lows cannot lows kiss I've heard him rap and he was great when I heard it but I'm

  • 1:44:38

well versed enough to say that he's a li the things he does with words make him an alien I'm not saying his artistry is

  • 1:44:43

so great lows just put a mixtape out though and it sounds pretty hard so y'all should check that out but losses on my alien list right Elle's eyes on my

  • 1:44:51

alien list nah man its vantes on my alien list Royce and crook are on my

  • 1:44:58

alien list along with Pharoahe Monch so I was waiting for Pharaoh that that is

  • 1:45:04

where I closed my door I'm done with my aliens at that list hmm that's

  • 1:45:10

interesting all right though don't agree with me but most is on my alien list from rapping

  • 1:45:19

and singing at the same time he's an alien in just how he uses his inflections his words Moses an alien to

  • 1:45:25

me I wouldn't be mad at somebody calling mostly a Liam I wouldn't be mad at

  • 1:45:33

anybody's alien list I just know most most of get all that Umi say [ __ ] out the way in a second and then rap just as

  • 1:45:40

good as Pharaoh most deaf can now rap as good as

  • 1:45:46

Pharoahe Monch ever ever I want to be perfectly clear ever ever and that's not

  • 1:45:52

to knock most I think highly of most Pharoahe Monch is better than everybody they've probably except black thought

  • 1:45:57

and he might be better black thought if you have more time no if we were to put because I wouldn't put most above fair

  • 1:46:03

but if we were to actually rank those black thought in the fair would be one in one a to me in that alien category

  • 1:46:10

yeah sorry Pharaohs probably number one

  • 1:46:16

on the alien list yeah 1 a.m. 1 p.m. in Black Thought Hangul I hang along be me that's honest that's honest I still feel

  • 1:46:24

like I good opening is a long day if I have enough time Kendrick what half a trick person AIT's

  • 1:46:30

    a alien sometimes I wouldn't put

  • 1:46:36

Kendrick on that alien listen raps like a alien he doesn't the Kendrick is great

  • 1:46:42

no expand it and Kendrick is better than mad [ __ ] but the alien list I mean I'm

  • 1:46:48

we know here Kendrick and Sarah he's doing something with words that were unable to do uh Big Pun yeah an alien

  • 1:46:57

yeah alien yeah 100% that's the end of my alien list list I would love to hear

  • 1:47:02

who you all think are aliens and I know that's probably a weird question in today's climate and cuz I mean it's not

  • 1:47:10

really what we're going for but I like us the aliens are coming I like the Federale ian's are coming I like the fact that Black Thought has even

  • 1:47:16

introduced this I like the fact I like any time this becomes a conversation again Green I do what I'll tell you one

  • 1:47:21

thing he inspired he did inspire me he did inspire me too and this before I got

  • 1:47:28

fired before I got fired I thought that flex would be a pretty cool spot to go

  • 1:47:33

up there and just let [ __ ] know stop playing with me real quick but I thought

  • 1:47:38

I wouldn't have the time to be able to write something like that well look at that mall nothing but time oh my bad

  • 1:47:45

we got it we understand I have to take Joe - you have to do your appointments

  • 1:47:50

with unemployment to get the money mm-hmm so I got to take him what's your address all right yeah I'll take you somewhere in that County so we can sit

  • 1:47:56

in the line it's fine take a few hours you're not allowed to [ __ ] Rory's unemployment is way too open

  • 1:48:02

in mind I don't even receive unemployment well no let me oppose I've been I got fired

  • 1:48:10

with a newborn baby yeah with no unemployment with all of my co-hosts

  • 1:48:16

working and it's my show yeah that I made from my brain look how life works yeah I'm sorry man I can't

  • 1:48:24

let that rod that's craziness life as well that's a little while that's that is the utmost disrespect and more

  • 1:48:32

disrespectful and useless don't ask us to borrow someone you [ __ ] up the migos whole marketing plan with their record you know even work Denis oh you

  • 1:48:38

had to meet those record droughts today I know y'all don't care good for who cares wait it didn't drop no they teased

  • 1:48:43

it they've been teasing it for six months with them what you want me to do with this I saw some clip of those eye

  • 1:48:49

rolling loud I mean either 30,000 people screamed your name that was kind of I think they said [ __ ] Joe but no no in

  • 1:48:56

complex fires me I don't know if this is

  • 1:49:01

more like the day shift Dave Chappelle walk the verizon mall that what Verizon network and the commercials was bigger

  • 1:49:06

than rolling loud so they went with that one yeah clearly yeah Verizon tagline I

  • 1:49:12

wish I could remember it would have been a funny joke I don't know because I think that old varieties of dude they used to have the 10 million [ __ ]

  • 1:49:17

behind Sprint now that's right get the bell they bite they probably played him

  • 1:49:24

and he left his riders playing all of us they played all of us Hey Kings know

  • 1:49:31

your work hey fireman just hired my chef

  • 1:49:41

God damns [ __ ] up I'm hired man look new Chris Brown don't know what's going

  • 1:49:46

on made new employees around it it just got a go now layoffs over the Joe Buck

  • 1:49:51

Network wait something else happen on musically with any other new music to

  • 1:49:58

come out nothing same on Rory and I had a conversation about that new black

  • 1:50:04

record over that Timbaland Timbaland beat that I think is for a Timberland

  • 1:50:10

prize but I'm not sure could black has not text me to tell me neither is justice so I don't know I think it's Timbaland

  • 1:50:16

featuring black that song is hard I don't give a [ __ ] how do you lose a game like this the Pacers are great look at

  • 1:50:22

this how do you lose a game like oh you know what I will say what I will say is

  • 1:50:28

and I hate to be this guy what's it like to wait for Timlin and

  • 1:50:33

black man Tim Berlin got busy is nice to hear that Tim Lincoln did he go to his

  • 1:50:39

old bag it was new Tim Berlin but it was state was still a good pop Tim Berlin beat yeah it was nice to hear that he

  • 1:50:46

could still easily make it did it sounded effortless ooh like it didn't sound like he sat for you know six

  • 1:50:51

months trying to put that together simple it used to be as far as the programming goes popped up out the blue

  • 1:51:04

one day jizz with shoulders now with three heads that was the reason detox never came up nobody but happy to drink

  • 1:51:10

that's why I don't respect it from semblance Dre came out first at awards big when they both was in there hiding

  • 1:51:15

HEIs hiatus and now Timbaland want to bite the traceless so they didn't do a beat battle it's a steroid battle

  • 1:51:22

benchpress battle they're similar wannabe banner would you I know but similar they want to be bad it would

  • 1:51:28

Swiss I thought so no Swiss is always with the shoes and what stimbler Timberland on Instagram tees and all on

  • 1:51:35

beast is gonna lose the Swiss he got way harder beats and don't ever think I'm [ __ ] on Timberland

  • 1:51:41

cuz I'm not and Pharrell wins all and it's why we tell my be bad again credit

  • 1:51:46

does he don't take some or blamed yeah I wanted to get into Melo for a little bit cuz what do you think about this more as our MBA insider they

  • 1:51:54

struggling OKC's in trouble I know but tell me why cuz you was big on him yeah I I don't

  • 1:52:01

know me I don't I don't know what the problem I think Russ is you know he's I'm not can't blame Russell yes you can

  • 1:52:07

yes you got yes you can here's why I can't because I can't ever blame somebody that's still damn near

  • 1:52:13

averaging a triple-double she I mean you're doing everything the triple-double ain't gonna win the game I mean listening you're doing everything

  • 1:52:20

all over the [ __ ] place you're being effective right look I just think that people told my mother Paul

  • 1:52:25

George hasn't really I don't do that he hasn't played out of this world he

  • 1:52:30

hasn't played Paul Georgia like Indiana pace of basketball this is why you eventually have to point

  • 1:52:35

to Russell Westbrook who I will not point at because I love Russell Westbrook he's one of my favs his team

  • 1:52:40

you should point I think you could win there but every player that they that

  • 1:52:46

was there that leaves there thrives somewhere else all of them I'm not just on my Harden and Durant Reggie Jackson

  • 1:52:53

Jeff Green Reggie Jackson is thriving in Detroit he's been to one playoff series

  • 1:53:00

and hasn't won a game thriving as he is playing well and has played well in that

  • 1:53:06

system since he's I don't forgot waddle like a reject

  • 1:53:12

no I don't like me can play but I don't think that he thrived after he left okay I think he's the same play he wasn't

  • 1:53:17

okay see he was very good off the bench of OKC he's a scorer but he hasn't done

  • 1:53:24

anything he hasn't when you keep letting people go and they keep performing other places as complexes about to learn that

  • 1:53:30

falls on them yeah but I again I can't blame Russ I think that you know it's still Melos

  • 1:53:37

Melo he's a scorer he's not gonna really do much defensively he's not gonna average ten rebounds a game um Paul

  • 1:53:43

George is you know he he seems to just be trying to find his way within all of

  • 1:53:49

this like he's so used to having a ball a lot more and he doesn't with Russ and where that Paul George [ __ ] gets crazy

  • 1:53:54

as Oladipo is going ham I don't know what Bria mouth is doing to him yeah but

  • 1:54:00

I mean Jesus Mary and Joseph Oladipo is not playing but that's what happens when now a team tells you it's

  • 1:54:06

your team know behind every good man man is a powerful woman man Bria got that [ __ ] pulling out from half-court well

  • 1:54:18

we got to do that wait but wait we got to do that go we don't know how to do that pause I mean that boy George

  • 1:54:24

Oladipo was on the Thunder last year right right was he doing all this but he called my man what do you think I'm

  • 1:54:30

asking you know no he was was Bria at those games no

  • 1:54:36

but I think Paul I think I think all the people would have been doing this with or without breathe man and them k MK cuz

  • 1:54:46

not pulling up from the other three-point line on it yeah I mean go

  • 1:54:52

back to when you was young when the bad chick walking in the gym [ __ ] definitely try to show up that's

  • 1:54:58

Noland Depot in there Wow and there's the wall breathing in Indiana yeah

  • 1:55:04

that's funny already yeah I'm shutting up I'm buggin trouble anyway won't be no nobody get in trouble

  • 1:55:15

Rory save us oh man sale of mace speaking of people that rap he did it eight-minute freestyle and

  • 1:55:21

killed it I was surprised this plan I

  • 1:55:28

just knew that that's what he was gonna do whenever he decides to freestyle well it was arrest I did not expect mace to do that I'm not

  • 1:55:36

I didn't expect me to do that like he killed that cosmic oh [ __ ] he definitely killed her and I I definitely I mean I

  • 1:55:43

watched and I was like dawg mace has in rats radio station in how many is let me

  • 1:55:48

ask the [ __ ] obvious question man yes he killed it doesn't matter too often [ __ ] is

  • 1:55:55

killing [ __ ] and then we just say they killed it and you will watch see that's exactly watch that rapid you know how much time it take the right one of the

  • 1:56:01

verses for y'all [ __ ] to say that was hard and now you just going back to you

  • 1:56:08

know it's really wild I've honestly I've never thought about it thing but no I'm gonna tell you what's funny worry I

  • 1:56:13

wasn't no hold up boy go ahead I've never thought about how to read the reason why I understand what Joe is

  • 1:56:18

coming from right now because I I was just talking about the conversation we had a while ago with you know back in

  • 1:56:24

the 90s and early 2000s y'all [ __ ] could tour the country with maybe three

  • 1:56:30

rhymes yeah mix it yeah like yeah now when you spit something on flex you

  • 1:56:36

can't go to LA leakers and spit that you can't go to cosmic heaven because they heard that already

  • 1:56:41

back in the 90s [ __ ] was traveling doing the radio tours with three three

  • 1:56:47

verses and it was probably the verses that was going to be on I'm doing some classic cups some classic rhymes that we deem classic hip-hop

  • 1:56:52

freestyles and radio stations then [ __ ] spit them shits on albums they spit them

  • 1:56:58

shits at other radio stations so I kind of respect real writers and rappers today a little more because y'all have

  • 1:57:05

when y'all bus a clip now that's it like y'all write 60 bars now y'all can

  • 1:57:11

never spit that again yeah you know I'm sayin so now I salute that you're more like yo that's because in the late 90s

  • 1:57:18

    over 2000 [ __ ] was the same three rhymes and [ __ ] demon imma couldn't

  • 1:57:23

wait to hit record on the teeth and as I though he spit that [ __ ] for a year to have that same verse now it's like yo

  • 1:57:30

soon as you spit that 60 throw that in the garbage you can't use that [ __ ] Jose funk freestyle was [ __ ] three records

  • 1:57:36

on rage that never made it now I wrote some of it I wrote a little bit I had to

  • 1:57:41

write on on the spot yeah um well you know I was on Raw reasons to live the other day and he was playing holes

  • 1:57:47

grammy freestyle and between black thought and that freestyle i was really

  • 1:57:53

inspired to call parks and come over here but I know parks don't be answering when I call him about rap so but I

  • 1:57:59

started to think like you're that Grammy freestyle you know I showed it to Johnny and and Michael Paul a few [ __ ] that

  • 1:58:05

weren't as familiar as us easily one of the best freestyle was ever I'm biased easy to me it's easy to ever put I'm

  • 1:58:12

    biased I mean it's not it's not it's up there something but I mean [ __ ] we need

  • 1:58:17

a list with a few of those freestyles man like last decade when [ __ ] was

  • 1:58:22

going up to the whatever freestyle it was when holes told flex don't worry about the commercials I don't think

  • 1:58:33

y'all really know the level of stunts that don't worry about the commercials

  • 1:58:39

that says would you say that to a radio station number why all your goods are

  • 1:58:46

cursing and drinking now why that whole one is is the greatest though is cuz

  • 1:58:52

everything he said now happy now look in 2013 yes yeah every to the t he said and

  • 1:59:00

he did it yaaaa man wanna flex said he was in Jays career no I remember that I know

  • 1:59:05

no I don't flex was [ __ ] going crazy that night y'all say that but I salute

  • 1:59:12

flex it's been flex you're supposed to do that I salute flex flex how does flex flex if you don't do that with that

  • 1:59:20

whole text the whole that [ __ ] the drake beefing like i give it up the flex

  • 1:59:26

    man without flexing his [ __ ] i'm gonna have a long [ __ ] time no cause I got

  • 1:59:32

especially when up when Angie left like flex is doing what you got to do Pete this freestyle thing flex is not I mean

  • 1:59:39

of course flex is always doing the Freestyle [ __ ] but in this era and grabbing people that are not popular and just showcasing people that could really

  • 1:59:46

rap hey this freestyle thing has been amazing it has been amazing and let me let me just drop it I've been put on to

  • 1:59:52

people in New York then I was like oh [ __ ] I even know this was let me throw this out there - I've been trying to

  • 1:59:57

start that very same thing I think more of it needs to happen we need war ain't

  • 2:00:02

coming from flex cuz when well at least when I was a kid and when you were in your early 20s that's what we we sat by

  • 2:00:08

the radio waiting to hear people rap on flex shares part of the album rolled out every way and beans going up there to

  • 2:00:14

rap like that's what we waited for what's our gun just tweeted he only watched that show for one reason Joe Budden shout-out to what's up shout to

  • 2:00:23

West West I should have been on that [ __ ] album oh but yeah let me not get into that right now um I just think I've

  • 2:00:30

been telling no all on a flex let me [ __ ] play myself skinnfloot here madam wall just told me about that tweet I

  • 2:00:37

don't remember now so go ahead with what

  • 2:00:43

I'm saying is and I told complex this is well I said y'all don't think it's like

  • 2:00:50

it's like yeah I don't think it speaks volumes that I've been with you all for

  • 2:00:56

all of this time yet it takes all of these other people in all of these other

  • 2:01:01

buildings to [ __ ] assess my value some rule is something wrong that every

  • 2:01:09

exec in every other bTW every every building if you do anything related to

  • 2:01:15

streaming spoken to me this year you can't have had to almost I don't get it

  • 2:01:23

tell me more about all whatever you were saying Rory oh we talked about flex I mean that's past I think your green

  • 2:01:29

lanten freestyle is up there yet I was a dope for my green land but it was only

  • 2:01:35

dope lead I mean house freeze now no no no no we went when they kept you in the

  • 2:01:40

green room and you was mad oh what's the last names over the last days beat yeah

  • 2:01:45

you like I ain't come here to parley well I mean coming apart I don't you

  • 2:01:52

said die oh and now that you say that I want to bring back an old topic slang that should be back I really like to

  • 2:01:57

Polly Polly was fun that was your call we can't anymore Holli is going because

  • 2:02:03

  • 2:02:22

  • 2:02:31

  • 2:13:27

I know what ah let's see here so listen I can't remember what what I'm

  • 2:13:33

forgetting that's supposed to be happening this week but whatever it can't be that important and honoring for you an honor of Black Thought I figured

  • 2:13:40

for the sleeper segment the sleeper portion of this podcast we just play

  • 2:13:45

some [ __ ] NAS is an alien - by the way Sean P is a alien - may he rest in peace um took great pride in getting cleaned

  • 2:13:54

up by gentil it's honorable um so I'm gonna play this record this is a song

  • 2:14:00

called journey through the life this is P Diddy featuring NAS and beans I'm playing this if you are familiar with

  • 2:14:06

this record then you know it is not a sleeper because it is from a classic album I'm playing that as a sleeper

  • 2:14:12

because number one you probably are unfamiliar with this record number one and two

  • 2:14:20

this record at the end of that album for me at the time felt like a freestyle so

  • 2:14:26

I'm gonna play it because it seemed like a freestyle and an honor of black thought I just want to [ __ ] honor

  • 2:14:31

[ __ ] that rap like they [ __ ] freestyling so this is P Diddy featuring NAS and being Jerry feeling like whoa

  • 2:14:38

that was a trash start see why I don't have a radio station gangsta gangsta

  • 2:14:51
