I've never known his daddy's got it's like the seventies sideburns if you got

rid of the goatee he would definitely have the full 77 you got the whole 70s

about the playoffs I did come up with an interesting question that I wanted to ask y'all in in uh in in creative land

and in the world of arts like dancing rapping singing drawing what else is

there [ __ ] I don't know but there's a few of them which one do you think would

help you the most in a time of heartbreak music to do or just to be

around to do by you if you were this if you were a singer if you were a rapper

like which one of these would make you deal with the heartbreak the best oh maybe rapping rap yeah you go really

get your [ __ ] off yeah when you rap drawing your drawing I can't draw so

painting yeah painting is a good one if you're um somebody that has hobbies like

you're into like building things like cars yeah I'm saying yeah that [ __ ] like everything that keeps your mind busy

wonder what they do at home alone they just get up and start just dancing around the [ __ ] feel you got it bad by

was a group that was doing some type of investing somewhere and Barack's name was involved I don't know no prob up

with something superstar Vlad posted the

episode when prize was on his show talking about that exact thing hmm

skin but to do yeah Brock like improv said on the show you know how do you

even know about that and they last about he was like well [ __ ] I wanted I want to

nod at his public information I'm looking at this [ __ ] like it's not public if only Vlad knows I didn't know

that like he said that [ __ ] and it he went on to talk about it he did the feds right and now he's arrested

for that and I just thought it was crazy that Vlad actually repost it why do you think it's crazy in the land of the the

clout chase I'm not saying that that's what he was doing cuz that's just what he does that type of [ __ ] that's just [ __ ] [ __ ] but it was like you shouldn't

be shot today I wasn't shocked but it was just like oh that's another good question anymore like when y'all shocked

anymore today it will goes on very ready I'm shocked do the right thing right

there yeah that's what I'm saying like there's something going on yeah like when people have integrity surprising

yes like good like damn for really this is good still like

skeptical when you say like yeah like one of the good cuz you expecting the [ __ ] to come any minute and it's

like when the boss she don't come really oldest stand-up dude like okay yeah so that's what I'm that's what I'm shocked

now when when people do the right thing there's we all just run around living on the defense yeah if it's not believing

in that's the world we live in now man you got to be on defense but when did it become their way the internet we are

gonna start this podcast on but uh I think the internet that has it that's a big part that there's a lot of false

information out there yeah yeah are things being done for false reasons and things have been done for false reasons

for years I think this is more magnified because the world is so much it's closing it now with Internet and social

media like we can talk to people in London Africa any time of the day so I think now you have more access to people

which means you have more access to people in their [ __ ] yeah used to just be able to see the wild [ __ ] like on your block or neighborhood yeah now I

can wake up at 8 a.m. and watch all the [ __ ] [ __ ] that happened over the night exactly yeah and I get mad at that

because it's like damn I wake up and see all the all the [ __ ] from strangers and these days I don't even know all the

[ __ ] going on my friends lives yeah everybody's just holding their [ __ ] yeah don't care about the strangers are

[ __ ] won't get as many views so you don't see it you know what you know

that's his that's his business model mm-hmm so it's not it's not shocking and

when people are consistent in their business model good for them you just got to know what business people are

into Yeah right like just agree looking at it but I don't know why you can't in

the business of knocking anybody that's trying to make a living out here and

everybody some people for how they get a living out here I don't do you can't you definitely kid

I got a problem with that oh no no no I'm talking about making a

living oh it's heaven that's all about that yeah making a living I'm not gonna

do that because everybody gets a turn everybody gets a turn true so horse butt

and his upbringing that has him maneuvering that way I wouldn't never click I don't know if lad never met him

you know I'm just saying I thought that that was while to post that boy right after Roz was arrested for exactly what

he was talking about on his show that to me that's just a quick piece [ __ ] and I don't actually blame Vlad for the

processing because prize is an adult that would know better in those situations and an adult that has been locked up before I get mad when flag

goes after these kids that don't know any better and all they want to do is get on and have a moment and he takes

advantage of that oh like hip-hop I agree glads no I'm not saying flat is the only

one out here - Wow [ __ ] he's one of them any so I don't get mad at him for that the Prophet that process an adult he

should know better well let's let's state here let's talk about the sting operation that was rolling loud

certainly looks at what Erickson was there coincidence Erickson you were

there I'm glad you made it back safely word while I was hearing all these

stories develop I couldn't figure out why anybody would ever want to attend this and then and then more than what to

beef it rollin loud is not Wow but whenever you have people in one city and

a city that really because I I'm sorry Miami outside of the beach and the strip

there really isn't there's nothing so everybody is right there with each other if you have issues with each other

you're gonna is not something out of ten you're gonna bump into each other at a restaurant at a club so it's not I don't

want to say rolling loud because I'm people that was at the actual rolling loud festival the shows were great

people had a good time it's all the [ __ ] outside of that where the bull [ __ ] happen I don't even inside and for me

personally that was way too overwhelming every video in picture I saw I said wow that looks like a place I do not want to

be in right now festival poppy is saying that's not how

Oh big festivals are rolling loud is holding specific to the lineup they choose in the demographic they go after

as far as age it's a little different Wilder and a little more nuts younger

artists Wilder artists artists that have made their way through non-traditional

routes mm-hmm okay no there's definitely a place for it and it's why it's so

successful me personally I just would lose my mind there that's too overwhelming for me but in that start

chief keef on there and I was really happy though because I feel like he's not on enough the festival list cuz he

has so many great festival type records but you know I think that Chief Keef should be given some type of a Dirk

Nowitzki tour or like a Wayne appreciation tour Chief Keef needs some type of appreciation appreciation moment

compensation for him changing the sound to what a lot is going on right now which we talked about on here yes Wayne

Chief Keef two people that I put really high now music and Kanye so how the sound isn't know it just didn't look

comfortable more and again again I'm not that festival dude I did see and read

from a lot of people that there were a lot of great performances and people had a great time but that type of energy so

what what all went down let's talk about it Kodak black was arrested right yeah that was the first thing I saw and he was arrested because he put the wrong

[ __ ] on a gun a gun application firearms application that's what it was okay

that's confusing to me a little bit yeah they say it's basically ten years for that I saw that yeah well you know we

can ever pay see but that's when we can never pay attention to when they stay but they're facing because I don't think that they'd be trying to get I don't

think they're trying to get Kodak with in year four whatever you put one of the papers it's like a lawsuit whether it's a high number yeah do you think they're

they're targeting like what are you doing what are you doing I don't I don't get it I want to know what the lie was I

guess yeah I didn't see any details really my prior record I don't know if I

don't know laws cuz I know Florida laws are a lot more lenient but if you have a prior record I don't know if you can

legally registered man okay okay got it

got it yeah totally understood why don't people just have armed

security died over city there well I want we gonna get into that too because

watching that watching all that rolling loud [ __ ] that's what I thought I said damn the cost of being a rapper to just

move to just move and travel and we can get into that more because we know uh we

know a whole bunch of rappers who you know you're supposed to look the part before you're actually making the part

so it becomes expensive to you know everybody the label ain't giving you security some artists don't have enough

money to roll around with that type of securing this [ __ ] shift complex wouldn't pay for the security for me and

act and nadeska at wannabe t [ __ ] it was four hundred five hundred dollars but we

on the show talking [ __ ] every [ __ ] day like security and people's safety don't really be our concern until

something happens like I told them it complex when we were having that debate fam it takes a half a second for fight

to break out ya know no time it's something that you have to be prepared for well my thing is as an artist if I'm

the type of person that I have these ongoing cases and I can't be around certain things at some point you have to

take control of the situation and you have to say look I'm not going back to jail I'm under these restrictions and

these laws okay I do want to protect myself so therefore I have to have armed security I'm not know I wonder my home

always carrying the weapons I'm not carrying the weapons don't bring that [ __ ] around me because if they jump on

his bus I'll pull his car or whatever I'm the one that's going to prison and I would like to know when he filled out

this gun application because Kodak black has been in police custody quite a bit

recently yes so now you're telling me we got to wait until Roland loud to snatch

him up and again I do understand and that's how the authorities work sometimes they wait till everybody's in a centralized fight all y'all rap is

gonna be over there we'll pull up my only experience getting arrested was that that Best Buy show and I'll tell

you promoters nuts cut you open it this part because they off though I know promoters sometimes unwillingly which i

think is what happened in this Best Buy thing that's why was gonna cut you off promoters unwillingly sometimes give their acts up to the police and don't

even realize it because you have to get it cleared with a venue when you say alright have a artist popping up or an

artist on a headline a lot of venues don't like rappers and you have to clear with them and so what the venue does

anytime they have an artist they have to check in with the precinct again I don't know if they do is with rock acts but they do hip-hop acts they have to

contact the police precinct there and say hey this is the person this is their government name they're coming to my establishment tonight so sometimes

promoting this look an artist yeah put them up and not even know it Rory's absolutely right that is how I

got locked up in that Best Buy Theater thing I at the time had no idea that you could even do that right and you

wouldn't think that it's a rapper you think that if a spot books you then they would want you to perform they want you

to bring in it the revenue you don't think they're cooperating with the police I was and that was a speeding ticket it was like something stupid like

that and you made me miss the entire show but back to a word that keeps

coming up here more on ownership back then I had no idea that and you wouldn't

you wouldn't think about that who owns what venue plays the plays a big part in

that as well like if the venue's are part of a chain and elimination owns a lot of venues

yeah man there's different there's different monopolies and you can't crack

it so yeah when one thing is you again as an artist you know when you have real

street [ __ ] going on and real issues out there you said you said that you said that last week

we know you said people know the people who are in real [ __ ] and I'm still on the list of I don't well I don't know

well the artist knows got it the person like when you're the artist and you have real street issues going on in real beef

you know when you have to move around with protection and my thing is this there's no better way to be comfortable

knowing that I'm not gonna get arrested I'm not gonna violate any any probation laws when you have higher security and

they're there there aren't license to license a so now you ain't got you removed that issue so if the cops pull

his van over I'm not a violation of anything right like to me that's when you could really have fun and be

loosened like you know John when you finally got your license you you just I'm comfortably now you different behind

it's a whole different drive when you have your life say so when you have all your [ __ ] together legally and you know

that I'm not in no violence I stop short stop short with a Cosmo you just know

it's just conflict I being comfortable in black privilege listen I'm Liz I'm

not violating any laws I'm good I just understand other fingers making all this money and don't want to be comfortable

don't let that piece of mind because especially hold on not to cut you off orbital cut you off because moral when

you when you are I guess when you're embroiled in that type of beef like you're saying your number one priority is safety it's not really freedom of

mind or comfort so you feel like I know I've spoken a few dudes where they felt like fan what am i armed security for

security got a family security got a wife security got a mom dad I'm supposed to trust security to jump in front of

some [ __ ] if it pop off instead of me or one of my [ __ ] I grew up with like I've heard that before as well it's a fair point yeah but my thing is when you

have hired security arms coud they are trained right like they are trained to

money took on she was spending on security others let you know how much money he was don't think people know how

much it costs hey kid when you're making a lot of money on is priceless man no I

agree with you but I don't think it matters at a certain point even at what those leaked tapes that was whatever was

going on with the CAHSEE and whoever the leaked tapes that came out even the people that was allegedly targeting him with saying fam for us to not catch him

he would have to roll around with that type of security every single day and his money is not that long it's going to

run out yeah it's a fact nobody's money is long enough to do that daily no I

mean when you have again when you have certain real beefs and real issues in the streets like that [ __ ] does like we

talk beef is expensive depending on the type of beef here and that [ __ ] is very expensive well mr.

literally your job most of your job is telling people where you are right that's true that's your job yeah I'll tell you to squash it after

a story that set up that his security tracked down the gunman and killed him but then I read another story that said

that wasn't the gunman that was kid that he killed yeah it was a bystander so

yeah and if all of that is true it's chaotic they're gonna they're gonna dead

it's chaotic very very hard to move around in Miami a rolling loud next year

Florida's literally pull you over every block everybody get out they're gonna

search these cars search these vehicles now yeah I can't move nobody comfortable but I don't want it to get like it was

and what every year that was where it's like all of the hip-hop events when the hip-hop police and [ __ ] was popping

where's like okay the awards now are in Atlanta we got to see what's goin on no

awards in LA move got to see what's goin on like fam we already don't have that many events

y'all gonna start [ __ ] up their festivals yeah and that's that's that's where [ __ ] get they most money I mean

we didn't even get into that part yet if the festival's pay you the most it has artists we gotta get it on the

road unfortunately from the bottom of the barrel like why would why don't we [ __ ] up our own plate that's just

in our culture we [ __ ] up ourselves another rapper was killed out there

yeah wrestling P star AAA be hella bans he was killed on my hair from Chicago

for years all's he was he on the bill was it was just a guest her so yeah man

I pray for my rap brothers out there man again man it's like what you know we

love to where's that the energy we had and togetherness we had when when it

passed you see how fast like we go away from that like it's you know I mean and that's why when people was like oh you

think things have changed or not I hate to be honest and I hate to sound like you know person that don't have faith and oh but I honestly don't I don't see

it I've seen this movie a thousand times like it's like we lose one and we come

together for two weeks and you know your body's on a positive vibe and you know even the artist for a while there was no

a lot of people communicating a lot of people squash I think think that still happen to know yeah it's a hard hard

kicking it still so maybe some of the older ones but I mean I think there are

a lot of artists that are just a little more cognizant I still think the energy feels feels different out there since nipsey's passing and I don't attribute

any of this [ __ ] to how the community is reacting from that I don't

I don't know I'm not saying this I'm just saying like we we go right back into negative [ __ ] we get right back

into negative mode when we're around each other you know I'm saying especially in all its in it and I only

see it in the hip-hop culture when we have these festivals where we have these toys when we have these shows when we

have these these video shoots it's like only in our culture do things pop off and somebody is killed and somebody is

and it's like yo what the [ __ ] is going on yeah absolutely right more but I don't think I don't think that while

you're right there's a lot of people living that that way and they just take it what comes with that life there are a whole lot of people that are

not trying to live that way and you just go outside and something happened listen it was a bystander they

got killed a kid got hit I look like a bad driving like

accidents don't happen because I'm a bad driver this is ledee happening because there are bad drivers on the road yeah

but if my thing is with this situation if this gunman doesn't let off an

assault rifle in front of the Trump Hotel broad daylight middle today like

none of these things happen it's a domino effect what's a domino effect because they wanted to be one because it's big business and death so we can't

ban guns and address the [ __ ] gun laws in any that [ __ ] because we need us to keep killing us mm-hmm we need us to

keep killing all right we can all we need to complain so much so much though I agree I don't understand this big big

business with the gun [ __ ] gun laws and all that but we can also be smaller than good else they're recognized we can also

recognize that it's a it's a business that they're playing Prison is a business the gun the gun law is a

business biggest business we don't have to we don't have to play into that because that's not our business and that's my problem that don't benefit us

we started to kind of plan our fellowship June beginning middle end and

no one replied I was like this fellas are the worst people to plan the [ __ ]

Sprinter and drive out to Long Island or something suburban and go to the we

gotta make it six everybody's got to get their passports together and I felt a little dotty that we landed on possibly

Mexico like I was trying to freak it it was there wasn't nothing freaked it off

and we did land on VR and everyone apparently has a dr plug and then we had the friend angle lighter we had the

friend it jumped in and said hey i bet we can get it in some wild things in dr sam a morning like

I'm not even where you at with this these dr hos away from me give us the

chef in the pool and i'm chillin yeah man oh yeah we gotta get a house I like that idea you gotta get a house the only thing

that you doing D it's like ten of us you know it's funny about that this is why getting house with dudes it's funny it

can either go really well but you probably won't or you'll just be sitting

there soaking and you're feeling staring at your friends not doing a thing yeah

now you need to certain people around let it get you out of that yes true balls gotta be there yeah last little

group outing I want to I think we did a little Poconos trip when everybody like everybody was freezing outside

yeah I've wasted a lot of money in my life that might have been the worst $800 I've ever spent

Poconos trip it was so glad we all got food poisoning - oh man everybody did

get food boy the chef this one had the hibachi dude we get in there I guess it

was owned by by some Asian people and they're like oh we got the hibachi thing we got a plug for y'all it was like 20 bucks you know any time you wanna

impress girls you're gonna get hibachi so you slipping shrimps in the shrimps

dude this [ __ ] mountain man redneck white [ __ ] walks in with an

emoji you know I'm really uncomfortable yeah we made me feel away like Jesus

came in with a hibachi get up and none of us flinched why didn't it was maybe

this got any of the cooler I don't know where he was coming from I'm trying to

come in with little aprons and outfits freaking it he did buy a [ __ ] straight from Wawa some is about to get up I said

[ __ ] tour dates and it's either McDonald's or 7-eleven as the only options that we have I got to do

something yeah see I gotta go to the gym because the same joy people get from actually going to gym and working out I get that same

there Wow you maybe bring in different consumers you're still bringing in consumers that have data that you can then take right so it's just a different

the stream is the stream is the same way Walmart pays the greeter in the front that waves like no the stream is the

same way this was trying to tell Joe a long time ago the stream is a lost leader it's the same way walmart sells

microwaves for $20 even though they probably cost them more than $20 because

it just brings people in because they can get a microwave for $20 and now you're in the store and you're gonna buy some other [ __ ] it has a higher profit

margin mm-hmm it's a loss leader yeah then it can be a loss leader in music I don't think that's trying to make sense

period is a loss leader oh definitely is I think certain artists are how is

streaming a loss leave for Netflix for Netflix it's not aa no I think maybe you

you may overpay for a niche audience that you don't have already where you may lose some money would say you want

to produce a special for a million dollars that's not worth a million dollars but we're getting a whole niche category of people that we don't usually

have and they may stay and check out the rest of Netflix and click some other things because they may have but there's no judging judging by our data that's

people from streaming to streaming it's streaming yeah but it's the same way you're bringing someone into a Walmart

they might they're getting a microwave but they're also in Walmart yeah you're not making money off your special break

you're making money off getting subscribed and judging by data I know this small group will definitely come to

Netflix for this but I with my data I know they also like this category they also like this category and now they're

here all right I'm rolling with you I'm rolling with you so let's say all those streaming is lost leader and I don't know that I don't think all of it is but

you know any successful business has lost leaders yeah because what can one what cuz what kind of artists do with

their streams what do you mean I'm already XYZ sure I have 100 million

streams uh-huh what can I do with it collect your a little bit of money yeah

collect your $25 go buy a whopper in a soda the deuce uh well yeah you're not privy

however their own information of the help however whoever centralizes the the

audience and the consumer with whoever is providing the product right what can

they do with it uh well if you're if you're a major if you're on a major label who has partnerships with these

streaming things you get analytics you'll know exactly where the tour you'll know exactly where your strongest markets are you'll know what type of age

group you should be going towards but that's really only works if you're on a major that has a partnership that will

give you the antimatter that's the gap because none of that the true value is not in any that [ __ ] when you start

talking about a stream and the value chain and all of the things that can be just attached to it and that's kind of

my be from starts on my rolling loud or just some of the bottom feeder [ __ ] yeah you want the artist to now go out and

just get his however he gets his but how how are the people that are getting it

get into it with a stream the same stream what I can do with a stream what

the label can do the stream is not the same thing correct who will do business

with me with a stream and who will do business with Spotify with a stream Apple take anybody from Fang and just

put them there we as individuals don't necessarily have that that that same

leverage that we don't we don't get that at all and that's why podcasting is such a unique place because some of those

parameters and some of those boundaries that exist and that they're trying to implement which stream they just don't

exist here yet there are no rules here yet you can't tell us what this is worth

you can't tell us what a stream is worth it X amount of [ __ ] million and have a

million whatever I'm saying listen to this podcast a week if we're in record terms we go gold twice a week right yeah

more how are you to quantify how are you to actually quantify it and I'm having

this conversation uh the stickler here is I'm of the belief that advertising is

running the entire country the entire the entire country all of you come from

marketing stuff yeah that's not far-fetched at all everything comes down to vert izing which is why we have all

these data conversations because that's who's buying the data so if every China advertised so if everything comes down

to advertising and I'm of the belief that music today is nothing more than an

audience builder for you to find something else to do yeah yeah then

except for the record what is the worth to us to us what is a stream worth are

you saying us as in an artist or us as creators the artists the creators and the artists and the people that are

creating things to be streamed it's really only worth whatever the

centralized place is gonna either a tell us it's worth or give us for it because outside but they're also created on the

fly hmm they're also well not let me not say on the fly but they started out they created that so the people that you're

putting your music going forward they created what a stream was worth there was no law which talks long to me what you're saying so again let's say the

Spotify app music whatever they there wasn't a formula they created it like we

used to know a CD cost $10 it cost us $4 to make let's sell it for $10 there's

that profit margin right we don't know what the formula was to create what the

stream was worth so the power isn't in the creatives hand and that degree it's whoever created this this platform maybe

it's a makeup what it's worth well that's what the fight is that's what the fight that they're having now is you're

absolutely right and what you're saying Apple Spotify whoever they created it the music the labels and the execs they

never forced could have foreseen that the way that everybody consumed music

today would be digitally well it could have if they listened to certain people

no if we all just sort of Prince the world beautifully Chuck DS another one but I'm just saying that's why this [ __ ]

is all in erm angle to me we know we know about the existing light between the DSPs and the music labels right we

know there are only three music labels and we know they're fighting over ownership there's that there's that word

again we music this is how it's it's consumed you can put it on your platform but we are old 70 percent of the profit so now you

got Apple Spotify whoever whoever else trying to figure out how to make things

profitable under these new terms yep but also those terms are just being created

it's not cut by the way it used to be scary part about it is you can't create

them without us a lot of those companies this one included Spotify have not

really turned a big profit for a long time like they're still building it's it's essentially a loss leader you know

what I mean like they're building their [ __ ] they're losing money for a long period of time in order to build

something that is profitable oh yeah because what they say two years ago Netflix was in how many million dollars

a day right like it was still exploding you know by other point you know yeah but I'm still on Netflix I'm not making

money never gonna get day money oh they're data and listen I don't think

that any any great business or business plan I don't think [ __ ] go into it

expecting to return a profit in year 1 2 3 or 4 like you know you can't know you

know what that person thinks like a long game you plan 10 years from now so if

you know all of this and we've been talking and chung-yong if you know yes if you know you're gonna play the long

game if you know that advertising runs the world if you know that those boundaries and parameters that exist in

music do not exist in podcast world I was telling Brandon it's last night if you're a podcaster and you truly

understand the landscape and what's going on and your power that now wouldn't be the time stop you fit you
