  • 6:19

trying to get on my label man [ __ ] and be industry like now we not office today like things are Wednesday

  • 6:25

cool I'm staying at the Mondrian though they tried to charge me 875 for two bananas you can keep those two bananas

  • 6:33

okay thank you 874 two bananas the audience room thought about doing it I

  • 6:48

was becoming a better person we was on tour and key for some reason would go in our group chat and say everyone's room

  • 6:55

number where they were staying I was like I know all your last names Maddy's

  • 7:03

well I didn't do it mom how come at no point in it in that a Nicki interview

  • 7:11

did you jump in during her cyberbullying rant and tell her not to look at her phone but that's

  • 7:17

been the question last couple ordered just put the phone down you says what as

  • 7:22

soon as it was over when she was on live or after know during the podcast yeah

  • 7:29

she was on live for half of our podcast that's true you were on it - you kept going hey guys are you talking about

  • 7:36

that part of the interview when she was all in the belt when she when she was talking about being bullied yes okay you

  • 7:45

said how come what how come you didn't say hey just put phone down it got to a point where I was

  • 7:50

just happy she wasn't yelling someone she was just talking just let her talk what no on Queen radio when you you were

  • 7:56

going at that point I had asked her at what point do you not care where strangers say which is similar to saying

  • 8:03

close your phone yeah you did I remembered her and she said I'm human

  • 8:09

    doesn't turn over well it's in a

  • 8:17

turnover if I'm a mole but I mean Fame I wasn't happy wasn't yelling it was he

  • 8:24

notes I respect that it was a lot of yelling yeah I was just like you know what just go ahead everybody's talking in a calm voice guy just get it

  • 8:30

coming back and listen to Tarzan what is bad if you was I know it wasn't cheese

  • 8:36

has a natural deli voice a little bit yeah she does it cuts you and that that

  • 8:42

was certainly not my first time being cussed out by a woman so I took that all in stride yeah she really gave it to you

  • 8:50

she wasn't maliciously I knew off queen radio when we were breaking with that she wasn't being serious about their no

  • 8:57

so that's why I knew what that was yeah which was fine she was a sweetheart but me I don't I

  • 9:02

don't say Rory and I have this conversation a lot and let me move this this is not pertaining to Nikki I want

  • 9:07

everybody to confuse we have this conversation a lot about different artists when it's like okay some of

  • 9:13

these people are really really nice or like really really sweet or appear to be

  • 9:18

how do you gauge the difference between the on switch and off switch are like

  • 9:25

the showmanship versus who you are how

  • 9:31

do you gauge it yeah like if there a way to ever really know if somebody's like

  • 9:36

actually the way that they're portrayed yeah I think I take some time though

  • 9:44

that's really a first conversation well I'm some I hope you're ever face to face

  • 9:49

with oh oh no I meant more so from a fan perspective Oh didn't know that's hard you can you doubt it can't really I

  • 9:54

don't mean I don't mean us it's rare that you're getting a celebrity to disengage their celebrity persona

  • 10:00

yeah I'm camera on microphone mhm yeah it happens sometimes some people are good at that like drawing that out of

  • 10:06

somebody but it's rare and a lot of ours have to be open to that to like an

  • 10:13

artist coming in knowing I'm not saying this with Nikki or any other interview that we've ever had they still have to be willing to come in there and want to

  • 10:19

do so right I mean you can't ask them all they could dance all day I'm not faulting the interview for an artist

  • 10:24

dancing but you know if they want to open up they will if they don't then you're just gonna get a surfaced interview right I want to thank her

  • 10:32

again for for joining us and sharing her platform as well I'll start with that I

  • 10:39

don't really have any more to say about about that we start unless y'all wanna no no I don't thanks for coming yeah

  • 10:46

the feedback was interesting it was ironic she kept using the word case study cuz I certainly use it as one from

  • 10:53

my mentions hmm just interesting to see how people interpret things that's all

  • 10:58

oh there was one point cuz I mean when she started we still might the Rose the Rose game thing we didn't know who she

  • 11:04

was talking about it for how we all thought game yeah and then he was describing game but that's what I would

  • 11:11

say I was gonna stop my say but game is the king of he had a whole record directed at all the women that he

  • 11:16

allegedly had sex with so I was gonna stop him once I was like but I was still kind of cookie she's game Ross I didn't

  • 11:23

maybe she said sit your fat ass now I said oh okay I'll sit my fat ass now

  • 11:32

yeah but I don't think she obviously likes oh yeah I did a video together you

  • 11:38

she always like likes gamers that person more well I think she does like Ross is

  • 11:43

a rapper more she wouldn't say she she obviously doesn't feel no type of I mean she didn't big game up in a rap way she

  • 11:49

just said she didn't know she went straight to Ross yeah like so she was talking about let's go take that like yeah you [ __ ] Ross music but he'll

  • 11:54

mall is crazy how that's not a fair assumption I think I think she ignored

  • 12:00

that question to directly respond to Ross on a Paloma yeah he said any

  • 12:05

engineer updating rap respond respond get worse what he said he said yeah I

  • 12:11

sent that text to me that was before I found out she wasn't the one like yes

  • 12:16

algorithm pretty much exactly what he said yeah that's his response I kind of wish Ross would have dived a little bit

  • 12:21

more into that point of saying she was the in between between Drake and meek

  • 12:27

she was kind of the facilitator and I was really interested to see where we're also was gonna go with that and then

  • 12:33

they kind of just moved on like Ross didn't get into how Nikki could have played better in that role you just

  • 12:42

understand what people would have wanted her to do in that position like what D do you do in that position like what

  • 12:47

could she have done hey guys you shouldn't make records about each other you shouldn't know it's like that's what

  • 12:53

we are that that's why I couldn't understand if Ross was alluding that she was playing both

  • 12:59

sides and that I didn't understand what Ross was getting at once he started with the one saying that okay what do you do

  • 13:05

he was honey wasn't saying she was playing both sides he was saying it was just a very fragile position to being

  • 13:12

fragile meaning any wrong move either way his image so so much absolutely yeah

  • 13:20

that's that's just what I took from it and if I'm looking at it today I've what I took from him saying you know anybody

  • 13:26

cool she went his way I mean she went away he went his way when his way what I took from that is that's the result I

  • 13:38

don't seem to [ __ ] do do as you called him we clearly see

  • 13:45

that crossing her and and we don't know what's going on with her and Drake so I mean a lot of people wanted us to ask

  • 13:51

that question I wasn't I wasn't gonna ask it I didn't even think about it I did it's my number one question I want

  • 13:57

    to ask it I just had I just don't think [ __ ] is too some [ __ ] is too personal

  • 14:02

and I come on in and talk a lot of [ __ ] but I'd be thinking I'm about 87% and

  • 14:08

some of the [ __ ] I think and if I and if I'm thinking that while you're in my face I'm gonna respect you right I'm a respected I'm not gonna sit here and

  • 14:14

think some and then throw it out there mmm like if you don't if nobody is saying it all right but that's one so

  • 14:22

I'm looking to break break a story I don't like asking gossipy questions yeah

  • 14:29

me too like now she was somewhere saying go [ __ ] Drake I don't [ __ ] with him then it's like ain't no gossip then you said

  • 14:35

it you said you don't [ __ ] with him then it's like oh why don't y'all [ __ ] with each other but if we just think they

  • 14:40

don't [ __ ] with each other right now that's gossip well do you think it's gossip if you ask yo you have an issue

  • 14:46

with this woman you've been had a friendship and business relationship with this other person for so long and

  • 14:52

then he then brought her on stage is that gossip I would like to know how you feel about that I don't think it's a

  • 14:57

gossipy thing that sounds gossipy how it's a little gossipy I just said it sounds gossip I'm just saying out town yeah I can't

  • 15:08

ask certain gossipy like [ __ ] was in my mid to kill you should have in the fam I'm not no gossipy [ __ ] I'm never gonna ask nobody public mores on camera

  • 15:15

or cabinet the dude you let a scream while you wanted like what you want to be yelling a girl but that's how I felt

  • 15:21

when [ __ ] were saying we should me or or we should have left well that do you

  • 15:27

know how stupid we would have looked well notice they think they didn't do the post I'm saying that after all what

  • 15:40

it appeared to be even if she didn't do the part like what what comes out of it

  • 15:46

oh because again we didn't know Joe wasn't coming back in the room one that's number one and two it was like it

  • 15:53

wasn't like that's a good point she was people also take that people also take like the celebrity that type

  • 16:00

of beef as like real beef yeah you don't say that's why I said the world is going crazy the world that's people are really

  • 16:05

out of their mind at what you all do and and we don't take yelling like it

  • 16:11

doesn't really faze what anyone in this room that's why I laugh cuz it's just that's why I asked you that question earlier because the coin is two sides to

  • 16:18

the coin some of the artists and most artists and this is this is what I'm used to are super super nice to the

  • 16:26

    public and on camera and they're [ __ ] and [ __ ] behind a car

  • 16:31

behind closed doors right that's coming that's that's the common one but then there's the very rare occasion where

  • 16:38

somebody is just a [ __ ] personify publicly and they're pretty cool behind

  • 16:44

closed doors you're one of them thanks I was gonna say are you are you alluding to something very well well no

  • 16:51

I think in even listening to that Nicki interview is fun Wow while she was and in every thread some comments like yells

  • 16:57

Nicky Joe got a lot in common and I was cursing out the people that was saying that in my head I'm wearing what the

  • 17:03

[ __ ] eat up but then when I listened back he has some other stuff that she

  • 17:08

was saying like I thought she was a little nuts at times and me too I'm not

  • 17:15

at times so I get it yeah and I thought she was loud at times your lime loud I'm loud a

  • 17:21

lot and yet I can't say that behavior from Queen radio wasn't similar to some everyday struggle [ __ ] that you've done

  • 17:26

where it appears that you are much mater and louder and angrier thought about

  • 17:32

that and I said wait the [ __ ] wait it's just chicken genius one alone because I know what I

  • 17:40

do in front of that camera right like I'm not telling you but you just know

  • 17:45

and she has that she does that no that's

  • 17:52

it yeah notice why she has her own show so here's a few reasons as years I want

  • 17:58

you uh Larry Jackson shows you uh yo stop talking about me Duke stop

  • 18:03

spreading rumors no he didn't say Duke he no he did he did in an Apple

  • 18:09

professional way say your family keep my name out your [ __ ] mouth I stand there all the time you know what Rory I

  • 18:15

don't even want to joke with you because you have your own Apple beef okay right so don't create one with me you're not

  • 18:22

gonna stand with me man Larry general did the days of us standing together are over

  • 18:28

they don't even each other out when I walked out a drink shampoo no I don't really think some of you

  • 18:34

[ __ ] know some of the things I do behind your back feel no they don't even help me and you anyway Larry Jackson

  • 18:45

Apple beef yeah if me and Larry Jackson decide to shoot it out that'll be

  • 18:50

between him and I but we had a very polite super-great pretty pretty cool

  • 18:57

and I wanted to put that out there because I did say that you know I said that was very hospitable yeah pretty I

  • 19:19

will say the snack selection at some of our Spotify shoots was a little scarce compared to Apple radio and everybody

  • 19:26

actually oh man wait a minute man we got to bring home we caught up real quick man what

  • 19:33

happened come on think about it yeah I think worries [ __ ] but I don't think what I see for staying in the radio

  • 19:39

station while I was outside see that's fan made up [ __ ] but nothing's playing back in my head

  • 19:44

second week that Laurie stepped out the van on Apple we start texting [ __ ] trying to find out if Zane was gonna be

  • 19:51

there you see I had a shorty from Apple

  • 20:03

meet us right there at my muscle with my

  • 20:09

ally in there that would be of the utmost hilarious score yup I'm not

  • 20:15

breaking it up that would be enough it

  • 20:47

is yes something else happened from there oh wait we set up

  • 20:53

oh yeah and she replied the show man after man not shocking no no she was off

  • 21:02

the Opera but that's why it's hard she replied show me saying what she said

  • 21:08

something about I went when Charlemagne thinks I'm about to talk bad about her he'd get all excited and its tail

  • 21:15

started wagging and it supposed to get all extra wet and all types of disrespectful [ __ ] after Charlemagne he's had nothing but

  • 21:22

great things about her that's how it usually happens but he did look on inside lookie

  • 21:29

oh no I don't keep in mind if your relationship [Laughter]

  • 21:35

oh look at you that's a joke disgust that is a joke the mate is your brother

  • 21:41

    that's crazy [Laughter]

  • 21:47

another beef you trying to get me I mean cuz you and I see what were you doing

  • 21:52

man not give me away what would I be doing man group me in with your beef you fight that 105

  • 21:59

Breakfast Club alone no more got your back yeah more with me for sure my god

  • 22:04

ride with me sure she said she was Rory

  • 22:20

rundown I'm net lunch right now unlike

  • 22:30

you Joanne I'll run when Apple radio

  • 22:38

there's a lot of memes I'm quite the cartoon ever see that boy yeah

  • 22:53

Joe catching a toy I want to start 30

  • 22:59

minutes in did any we care about Trina's response while we was on responses here's a classy woman yes class

  • 23:08

personified people watch this you what did she say she said let me handle it

  • 23:14

type [ __ ] basically she said that any for any mix-up or any confusion

  • 23:20

concerning regarding her album in the video and certain people not showing up him XYZ it's all on bad business it has

  • 23:28

nothing to do with Nikki has nothing to do with anything but bad business nest

  • 23:34

falls on me that falls on my team I don't want y'all saying anything disrespectful to her respective [ __ ]

  • 23:42

very respectful for you know thanking everybody for me on the album but didn't icky say that Trina

  • 23:48

no no it was the makeup artist or now that a in our tree today in our I think as well was yeah okay okay yeah no great

  • 23:57

was a classy of training course yeah well sure it is classy yeah and she's better that's for a while so

  • 24:03

and when she made that video I don't think she was about to come on in alright I'm gonna give it to her now

  • 24:09

Anna um don't y'all try to deflect take

  • 24:22

a look at okay we deflecting you said

  • 24:28

don't deflect I didn't know what was deflected family ties tell me King to

  • 24:34

label no no no now you don't know no

  • 24:39

brother you never threw up the diamond yeah oh don't about Jay sumo I'm lost I

  • 24:47

don't how do you I'll talk about it got you now yeah we can talk what is sure

  • 24:52

yeah that's what I was already deflected he's looking at me too me too

  • 25:00

yes talk about it let's talk about it

  • 25:07

goddamn it okay so holds new partnership with the NFL partners John so I'll be so

  • 25:14

happy whenever at least yeah they don't be known huh I'm so sick of it now Oh what is it a deal you prefer deal no

  • 25:21

partnership is the graduation from deal so yeah they need a new one okay that's

  • 25:28

what I was asking in last interview I did what is a partnership like they don't say nothing uh a deal was a

  • 25:33

partnership to no yes and no we were working toward the same thing no we're partnering no cuz I guess a

  • 25:41

partnership would still have different equity in things I think that I think what hired jay-z yes I think it's I

  • 25:47

don't think I don't think it's partnership yeah I've you and I could be wrong if you look up the word put I've you a partnership more as an equity

  • 25:53

share Korean you hire me for something correct that's nice making a deal well what did

  • 26:00

he do oh the NFL hired rock nation home to

  • 26:05

oversee the entertainment portion of the NFL specifically the Super Bowl and to

  • 26:11

bring more awareness to social justice issues and programs within the NFL I believe I've said that correctly

  • 26:18

that's a memory from what I read hmmm Roger Goodell and Robert Kraft have been

  • 26:23

that's yummy chummy Robert Kraft looked like he gets jumpy

  • 26:29

that's not a criminal justice the reform the whole thing came about from Equus was through Robert Kraft I know I don't

  • 26:36

know I don't tell us about the good stuff bro well I think this is I didn't I think this is an extension of that I

  • 26:42

think this is an exception of of of starting mutual conversations among

  • 26:50

amongst each other starting businesses starting language so that they understand our culture more like I don't

  • 26:56

see the negative like people and I think people have to remember that Colin Kaepernick also anytime they say that

  • 27:03

they have to remember yeah cuz I don't think people remember that he he reached a settlement a settlement agreement with

  • 27:08

the NFL all my defense I'm just saying black and white so if he's okay if he

  • 27:15

reached a set of meaning he felt like it was okay whatever they we never got the hint analysis when they signed an NDA

  • 27:21

vest what would you there's my beef what would you say about the concerns that the NFL or similar corporations would be

  • 27:26

using J as a shield using him as a shield correct to say hey we're doing something we have jay-z well I wouldn't

  • 27:34

say a shield I would say it we at first of all we have to wait the deal just happened great we don't know what will

  • 27:39

come of it I agree so I like that's what I'm saying people are just so quick to react in and spew whatever they think

  • 27:44

it's like you I don't even know what's going to happen there but they're reacting this way to further Park this point because this is littered all

  • 27:53

throughout history has every kid mm-hmm white people I want to choose my words

  • 27:59

carefully here white people paying their way into black

  • 28:07

people's cultural capital okay I think that's a good way I think those I think

  • 28:13

those same people I like to call them like the social media uh Avengers no but this

  • 28:18

is habit way before social no I'm just saying I'm someone right now I didn't see none of this like outrage towards

  • 28:24

other players that weren't kneeling I didn't see this this type of outrage towards some of his teammates that

  • 28:30

weren't kneeling that's what we're like I didn't see not like this no we don't like people still - then don't say people that was angry

  • 28:36

still watch the Super Bowl they still played fantasy football they still did all these things regarding NFL but now

  • 28:42

it's like are a large group of people including yourself who did not write I still don't watch the NFL that's my

  • 28:49

point so let's not speak to the people there but there are large part of people that are still down with the boys absolutely but what I'm saying is like

  • 28:56

Jay was saying boycott great make your voices heard and don't support but then

  • 29:01

what what do we do further like like you said it's time for action no it's time

  • 29:06

that we do other things to to build and move on like we have to otherwise it's

  • 29:12

like okay Colin Kaepernick did something that he lost his job over it he brought he brought social awareness to a

  • 29:18

situation but then what I subscribed to the seat at the table theory that's

  • 29:24

number one I do you have to get in the building but only when I trust the person in the seat

  • 29:31

and I guess that's why I maybe don't have as big a beef with hope as some of

  • 29:38

the people that I'm reading comments from halls history is also littered with mad Pro black secretive I'm gonna pay

  • 29:47

over it like it's been that uplifting that's been mad a lot of times that he doesn't make public anything so he

  • 29:54

doesn't make public mmm it's a pretty staunch history of being supportive yeah

  • 30:00

which yeah I think it comes down to seeing what happens in if hope which I don't think he will be is quiet through

  • 30:07

some of the in justices that are not addressed if the NFL continues to do so and he's quiet then yeah I'd be critical

  • 30:14

of the deal mm-hmm but I just don't think that's gonna happen right so yeah I can't and a grinning I'm a white guy

  • 30:20

so I'm letting you guys talk first on this issue yeah I can't see an opinion on it yet

  • 30:27

I have to see the deal will actually go through and I trust the person that the OP is right there optics are degrees

  • 30:33

they're not the greatest and I think he also messed up I'm saying that he spoke with cap when he hadn't spoke with cap

  • 30:38

at least recently regarding the deal that was a misstep now that did come

  • 30:43

from him directly know what I came from necessary thing no I'm not he said well

  • 30:49

in the article I didn't see the video they haven't released the full video but in articles they said that he had spoke

  • 30:54

with cap I know but that don't tell me that he said that's true that is true it should be honest I'm not gonna put that

  • 31:00

on him I just had that happen in a variety article written about me from the nicking ship where they said some [ __ ] like family you don't know you know

  • 31:06

yeah so I'm not I'm not gonna do that but I read that as well right I've read that it came from him and here we have

  • 31:12

necessay and nobody ever reached out to cap well one thing I can't say about Jay

  • 31:18

is he's not alive if he say he spoke to Kaepernick he spoke to cabinet about what when how long ago is a whole nother

  • 31:24

thing I just can't that's easy to prove if he did that's

  • 31:32

what I'm swayed more calculated than to say that he's nothing like him that's

  • 31:37

that's a easy thing to keep proven wrong on right I would like to start hearing from Colin Kaepernick honestly I do

  • 31:45

appreciate Nessa keeping us abreast I would like to start hearing about what

  • 31:51

he thinks about anything outside of some tweets listen part of

  • 32:00

his agreement maybe that he can't do that that may be true and that's the other reason I am about to release lamb

  • 32:05

hold he took that settlement and we didn't get a [ __ ] word about it and I

  • 32:10

ain't forgot hmm that's why I'm not mad that he took a settle I'm not mad either corsola I'm no I'm very happy about that

  • 32:17

yeah I I think a lot of I think I speak for a lot a lot of people wanted to know the details now that I do want to date

  • 32:24

the details behind what happened there yeah and from the post we've seen with cap

  • 32:29

working out it appears that he still wants to play in the NFL no mm-hmm they're not never let an implant in her

  • 32:35

I agree I don't think they will either but you knew we should have bet money he should play

  • 32:40

that might be a there's a settlement when you took absolution fam when you that settlement means you're settling

  • 32:46

something but didn't hear agreed also settle in the same the same look it up

  • 32:54

but he's still in the league door yes oh yes when that's my issue with Eric Reid

  • 32:59

you still get a check yeah you did right yeah so he got the settlement and still

  • 33:06

    get a check which great great I love a I love Eric Reid's and integrity it's a

  • 33:12

but [ __ ] still do what they got to do mm-hmm he's getting paid Colin got paid

  • 33:20

yeah oh god baby yeah like I said I just

  • 33:25

like to see us represented at the table and I think that starts that has to it

  • 33:31

has to start somewhere and I just think this is a start my thing is when people getting up said oh you shouldn't do this it it's like you don't even know what's

  • 33:37

to come of this like why are people always so quick to react to something to jump on something and slant and slander

  • 33:44

something when they don't even know what's get ready to happen like that's why I keep saying well I saw I saw a lot

  • 33:50

of people saying okay what the hell is the NFL gonna do to change anything with

  • 33:55

social injustice so I thought about that point because I noticed a lot of people saying it like how on earth is the NFL

  • 34:01

gonna get police brutality to stop so I don't [ __ ] with this whole [ __ ] like this is just a business move let's be

  • 34:06

clear police brutality will never stop I think people need to understand that first and foremost I'm not it will never

  • 34:12

stop like that it's not gonna come a day where a police officer will never Lee will never bring harm to someone that

  • 34:20

isn't warranty like that's never gonna stop who's never gonna be in the day was like that doesn't happen anymore it's

  • 34:26

gonna because those are just subjective cases they you run into people that may have mental issues that are officers

  • 34:31

like you just there's no way to really gauge that but what are the what are the actions after that is what we can hope

  • 34:38

will change officers are suspended or sentenced to prison and things like that but will somebody will they come a day

  • 34:45

when somebody nobody's ever beaten up by a police officer killed by a cop I don't think that will ever happen hope you'll

  • 34:51

just be an honest hope even said in the interview or I can press conference whatever he said you can't just throw away someone

  • 34:56

if they make a mistake it's the real world you can't say oh you made a mistake you're canceled I'm never speaking to again that doesn't

  • 35:01

accomplish anything that's what I believe regarding the he was anticipating the criticism of partnering

  • 35:08

with NFL well he knew of course you get criticized you cannot make everyone happy of course I don't care what you're

  • 35:14

doing this planet somebody will always have something negative to say about what you do yeah which is why you should

  • 35:20

no have more negative to say don't do that more let's let's just paint this correctly yes you're right but they will

  • 35:27

have more negative to say when you own a sports management firm and when last

  • 35:35

year you told Travis Scott not to perform at the Super Bowl because it's not a body out of y'all I think ever the

  • 35:40

sports management [ __ ] is more leverage you represent big athletes some have

  • 35:47

more leverage telling you why some people will look at this with a little

  • 35:54

more again no matter what you do in life I don't care what it is people will

  • 36:01

always find something negative to say about it very really if J didn't have a sports management anything and he made

  • 36:08

this move with the NFL on any capacity people would have have had something negative disabled especially with a

  • 36:14

topic like this it's just like and that's why when you move in this world and you do things and create businesses and whatever you're doing you cannot

  • 36:20

move thinking about what people are gonna say or think about you you have to move on what's in your heart and what

  • 36:26

your intent is period because I don't care what you somebody's gonna find something negative to say oh he did this

  • 36:31

only because of that or they she shouldn't did this oh she said you can do everything right and have a heart of

  • 36:37

gold and people will still kill you for it that's his life which is why you can't you can't think about all that [ __ ] you

  • 36:43

know in your heart Jay knows what he's doing he knows what's to come he knows what he has a plan in action he knows

  • 36:49

what he's trying to do right now people just reacting because of the news two years from now let's see what happens

  • 36:55

I'm not even really reacting off of the news I'm just seeing a whole lot of imma

  • 37:04

imma give you a crumb and I'ma get back up high from certain

  • 37:12

white people like Robert Kraft his

  • 37:19

chummy-chummy would down the trunk mm-hmm the Dolphins owners [ __ ] raising money

  • 37:24

over you all right cool you gave us me please I'm happy about that I'm happy about that and anything but at

  • 37:32

what cost did we get Meek it's odd when

  • 37:38

Donald Trump is calling somewhere for ASAP rocky that's odd when he's also

  • 37:44

calling for Israel did not let those senators so great you you gave us ASAP

  • 37:50

Rocky at what cost we never hear that part great that Kim Kardashian is meeting

  • 37:57

over here to get however many black people freed mmm I love that at what

  • 38:05

cost and that conversation never comes up and it's tough for it to come up

  • 38:11

because all of this is draped in all of this humanitarian [ __ ] all [ __ ] what is

  • 38:19

why prisons for blacks this way oh yeah like so so yeah I'm not mad at nothing

  • 38:27

hope is doing em hmm I trust old great awesome I don't trust everybody at that table

  • 38:34

hmm and I don't know how much information they're revealing to him

  • 38:39

does he know at what cost and if he does text me I would love to know what I mean

  • 38:48

to be and that's and that point is outside of whatever the [ __ ] all right this is the point that I've been

  • 38:54

following for just months months ago I came with well it's all based off at the

  • 39:02

end of it all this all money I think it's a good point and we all think hope is bright enough to realize that all those owners in the nfo clearly do not

  • 39:09

care about social justice he's aware of that I don't think homes going in there like hey guys I'm gonna change the minds of all these rich white people that

  • 39:15

clearly don't care all right no he's getting in there to get busy the way he best can he can't he

  • 39:22

can't go in there thinking just because it's all these rich white people don't care I can't make some type of noise and

  • 39:28

a difference in here he's confident he can do so so again let's see what he does with it but he's now he's well

  • 39:33

aware that those rich white people do not give a single [ __ ] listen and maybe trying to use this as a way to do a

  • 39:38

clean slate in a PR way I want listen I want hold at the table mmm and I [ __ ] I

  • 39:47

    [ __ ] with DAP I [ __ ] with dapper dan I had I had no I had no I had no horse in

  • 39:54

the race when we were boycotting Gucci but I [ __ ] with DAP and dad had a seat at the table

  • 40:00

that that didn't say much to me like I didn't have that same feeling now because I don't [ __ ] with dad I just

  • 40:06

have a different trust level with holes understandable well he's from he's from

  • 40:12

you know we were from those that grew up it yeah but he's he's closer in an age

  • 40:19

uh definitely from the same culture as

  • 40:24

we are and I think I just think that my thing again just let things unfold it's

  • 40:31

happening all over America man just let things unfold people just so close to be an uproar

  • 40:36

Nicky and Apple us and Spotify know it's happening everywhere this is where this

  • 40:42

is where we are seeing that and that is gonna get me to my much bigger beef that I won't say until February or March

  • 40:49

about how some of this money is distributed within the ecosystem and why it's distributed the way it is trust me

  • 40:56

these two conversations go together but it's not for now what we talked about we're somewhat the deal rock nation do

  • 41:04

okay you're told not to deal uh we just have to wait and see what happens man well played a clip Rory come on you so

  • 41:11

busy with your defense you ain't even played a clip your equipment part search man that's crazy man everybody it might

  • 41:19

be some new listeners hey bar that's crazy that's crazy come on boys day to go fill that cup up

  • 41:24

may change man no everything's not crazy um I don't

  • 41:32

like no home okay I think we passed kneeling and I think it's time to go

  • 41:39

into actionable items I think everyone knows what the issue is and we we're

  • 41:45

done with that we we've everyone knows we did we you know the issue is even if

  • 41:50

he's right you know okay do you know the issue yeah then you know the issue yes

  • 41:57

we all know the issue now okay next well we moving on next and I'm not again so

  • 42:02

it should be clear but room I'm not minimizing that part of it because that has to happen that's a necessary part of

  • 42:10

the process of true now we all know what's going on what are we going to do

  • 42:15

how are we going to stop because the Nealon was not about a job it was about injustice let me bring attention to it

  • 42:20

justice everyone's saying how are you going forward and cap doesn't have a job this wasn't about him having a job I can

  • 42:30

understand how people would take that in a negative way I get it I totally get what ho was saying though I get what

  • 42:37

he's saying but how do you take that in a negative way when he stops people s saying it's not minimize what he did

  • 42:42

good well I sound I see exactly what you're saying it's also never too late or were never past

  • 42:49

protest or awareness even if things are beginning to happen awareness and protest still needs to happen yeah and

  • 42:56

that doesn't stop because you asked two people in the room if they knew what the protest was about well that was that

  • 43:01

media he was talking to yes but I'm just I'm just I'm talking about the thing is

  • 43:06

he's right in what he's saying I agree I just don't like how he think in protest you can stand outside and protest to you

  • 43:14

turn blue in the face but actually then what yeah I agree and that's all he's basically saying like you can protest NFL great but then

  • 43:21

what and I think his point of saying do you know the issue do you know the issue the people that know the issue know the

  • 43:27

issue we know we're not going to convince anyone that's on the super right side or in Fox whatever you want

  • 43:33

to call those type of people that are going to observe ative that this is disrespecting Americo how

  • 43:40

could cap do this to the troops we're never gonna convince them of what cap was really trying to say who chose the

  • 43:46

word the words conservative the English

  • 43:51

language no I'm Tom as a group liberals be mad conservative now they've swapped yeah

  • 44:00

but yeah so when I think that's what he was getting at do you know the issue the people that understand it understand it

  • 44:06

the people that don't are gonna continue to do this circus of saying it's about the troops and all this [ __ ] so yeah

  • 44:11

maybe you got to put some action now because we all saw what the kneeling did no it was great and it was really good right there's

  • 44:18

always time for making more people over I just wish that they would have wrote

  • 44:24

something for that part that's all you think it's coming off the top well for a

  • 44:31

    hill right [ __ ] guys it's true I don't

  • 44:38

okay look I didn't want to hear that part promote even if you followed it up

  • 44:44

with what what was correct I didn't want to hear you ask the two people if they

  • 44:49

knew the issue you know I understand it's nothing wrong with it just ask more that's always pointing to and the part

  • 44:57

that was and I get it he's so right but it's listen I ain't knock ain't not calling me I'll be oh not me no I think

  • 45:06

it's hos point that we don't get here [Music]

  • 45:12

okay why would she would have called you did hey I'll knock on out that [ __ ] don't

  • 45:18

knock me it's hilarious to me oh oh I

  • 45:23

thought you would say no oh I hope you

  • 45:40

don't knock me hope to even if you knock me I mean damn I hope you didn't do that

  • 45:46

that's how I felt when he said so what my face it's real like I didn't knock

  • 45:54

his is moving in a way he went about doing bringing awareness injustice I'm going about it this way that's all I

  • 46:01

know I know what is funny I know it is funny but I get it it's funny though oh we did right oh you know that's

  • 46:08

something I'll say tomorrow I knew that was gonna happen so how about the people saying we killed Kanye but we're not

  • 46:15

killing over how do you feel about that cuz I say it's two totally different approaches two totally different narrate

  • 46:24

me with Trump and trying to you know bridge the gap or whatever he would said he was trying to do I said I think that

  • 46:32

Kanye is trying to get tax breaks I'm trying to help us I never thought that I

  • 46:38

value I value one for attention and one for progress and call me a dick runner

  • 46:43

you are zero just throwing it throwing on a red hat and ranting about [ __ ] no

  • 46:49

and then you saying you don't even understand the issues on top of that

  • 46:55

Roger Goodell and started sounding like Roger Goodell then I would be worried

  • 47:01

and I would be like oh [ __ ] do I have to get rid of lack out like if he started

  • 47:08

sitting there she's saying a bunch of come on I don't think that's what he did I don't think that I did I think there's

  • 47:13

some that yeah I didn't see anybody say that would that criticism I saw a lot yeah I don't see much of that because

  • 47:18

the idiots I did see people say you guys love Kim but hey Jay but I thought that was also a weird

  • 47:25

comparison yes that they praised Kim for going in and meeting with Trump to get

  • 47:30

all these people out of jail now you're mad at Jay for being with NFL but I've listened men never make it and I think

  • 47:39

what Kim did with great was great with all that I defer to people that are just smarter than me that's my whole thing

  • 47:48

Tom will tell Tom reveals oh how old it tell it if we don't see any change if we

  • 47:55

don't see any action that we don't see you great I'm open to being wrong about it absolutely 100% if I'm if I'm wrong I'm

  • 48:01

wrong but I can't jump on it right now and bash the man for doing something where it seems like he's just trying to

  • 48:07

get in at the table and make changes like let me at least read what Eric Reid is saying we never advocated for Colin

  • 48:13

to lose his job while we fought against this systemic oppression that's unjust

  • 48:19

and we're the NFL inserted itself into this now the NFL is championing social

  • 48:25

justice to cover their own systemic oppression in blackballing Colin so we

  • 48:31

will fight okay so we will fight to get

  • 48:39

Colin's job back jay-z knowingly made a money move with the very people who've committed an injustice against Colin and

  • 48:45

is using social justice to smooth it over with the black community what do we

  • 48:51

think about it LT gets fair I don't think it's fair yeah unless he knows something that we don't know although

  • 48:57

there was a money move aspect to it doing the entertainment or whatever but I don't think that that's isn't it you

  • 49:03

can't you can tell his intentions you know what I'm saying like yeah without

  • 49:08

more information or without seeing results or lack thereof and then

  • 49:15

necessary I never thought I would see this headline in my lifetime I can't put into words the disappointment and disgust

  • 49:21

I'm with cap forever jay-z helps the NFL banish chronic oh that's the headline

  • 49:26

I'm not doing it that was a TMZ no I was joking I was article yeah

  • 49:33

I'm gonna do that well-written article that the headline is a lot more aggressive than with the actual context

  • 49:39

of what she wrote in there very supportive of what ho has done in the past with social justice and knows that

  • 49:45

he has integrity towards all those things but she did not agree with the NFL deal but is well aware of his pedigree when it comes to social

  • 49:52

injustice and everything that he has done okay does Jane know he doesn't have

  • 49:58

a job because they blackballed him because he was trying to help millions and millions of people yo brah this

  • 50:10

event I the world is going crazy I want to live - some of this stuff

  • 50:15

ain't looking nice you cannot you will be replying all day is that what's

  • 50:21

what's on caps timeline right now did he did he uh yes my knowledge he's been

  • 50:27

mostly no he thanked the people for support yeah go for the arm they're just three year anniversary yet sensitive times and

  • 50:38

sensitive stuff going on Kraft who developed a friendship with jay-z through their mutual efforts to secure release from prison for Meek Mill and to

  • 50:44

launch earlier this year the criminal justice reform organization spearheaded the effort by connecting jay-z to

  • 50:49

Commissioner Roger Goodell conversations begin last year in early January crafting Goodell traveled to Los Angeles

  • 50:54

to meet jay-z after about five more meetings with other communications the partnership was finalized p.m. what will

  • 51:00

be revealed man I'm not I'm not I'm not doing this right now no I don't think the optics of it is

  • 51:06

great yes some of his wording was not yes I think some of the wording could have

  • 51:13

been different but I'm certainly not gonna question the man's intent I'm not

  • 51:20

gonna question his track record and I'm not going to question too much because he's one of the rapper's better than me

  • 51:35

I think had the announcement had more of a plan rather than just what the deal

  • 51:42

was like maybe they would have waited a bit and put together an actual plans here's what we mean by bring more

  • 51:49

awareness in the NFL to social injustice people would have understood it a bit more rather than just announcing it they

  • 51:54

still would have killed them but yeah I agree might have just been some more tears nothing you can do it that's gonna

  • 52:00

make everybody happy mister period and especially now people

  • 52:05

are waiting to me an uproar about anything neon care what it is they can take all the [ __ ] cherry loops out of

  • 52:11

fruit loops and everybody's gonna [ __ ] go hysterically it's like you can't is whatever man you have a ball I

  • 52:16

want to see the halftime show together okay Sal oh yes maybe you'll let me come

  • 52:25

out and do my verse no use give me to do that [ __ ] hit early it's like that [ __ ]

  • 52:41

ever the funny [ __ ] roaring it from now on you got started looking at the kitchen so you didn't see if a man is

  • 52:46

waiting waiting to come in look over

  • 52:53

listen at least at least I'm shooting yeah I'll just let the shot clock go out someone's trying to make something

  • 52:58

happen or not you're more castrating off it walking straight into office I'm orchestrating the UH

  • 53:05

okay from the box I didn't say anything hmm from the box from the post use did a

  • 53:11

deal with em yeah yeah I'm like [ __ ]

  • 53:16

Jovi that's nice you wanna [ __ ] on that

  • 53:22

[ __ ] off though you buggin he's nice what's off to you every big bring it

  • 53:29

tell me tell me [ __ ] leave chummy-chummy away and left

  • 53:39

now that's off the backboard chummy-chummy on the old school nah that is old school so how's that be underhanded from the

  • 53:45

fruit bat yeah Jovic is soft nah he's nice Joey

  • 53:51

Tracy is nice he's super Knight don't say that but what is sort me now for the big minutes yummy chummy cuddly [ __ ]

  • 53:58

nah who's harder there be a pause there's no big man that even played like big me no more

  • 54:03

yeah but L mean if you can't shoot as a big in India right now you you're worthless you know that those days is

  • 54:10

over I think I saw aa mall did you see uh well any of you but mall in particular

  • 54:17

especially did you see the video of of Sebastian Telfair getting out saying ah

  • 54:23

yes what did you think about it this

  • 54:47

must be after the sins or at the sim

  • 55:01

song yeah very very sad where's prayers for

  • 55:07

Sebastian Telfair I know that whole entire situation was a [ __ ] mess so I could only imagine how how he could feel

  • 55:13

when your family's involved with it it's not just you getting the sentencing for three years off a gun that you legally

  • 55:20

own just not in that state but having your family that involved and according

  • 55:25

to him lying on you that changes the situation a lot when it comes to just getting sentenced to jail I'll say I

  • 55:32

said it once I said again be careful these women that you get with that you have kids with that you settle down with

  • 55:39

you never know yeah was that picture of

  • 55:45

the the weapons that were seized was that real I believe so ok yeah I believe so yeah it's public information at this

  • 55:52

point he does legally owned those weapons yeah I put up on on Twitter

  • 55:59

prayers for Sebastian self after I saw that video and my dimensions was flooded of why would I pray for a

  • 56:05

criminal yeah I'm gonna pray let's say he's a criminal I could still pray I don't think he is

  • 56:10

but yeah people don't even know what the word criminal means but whatever yeah I

  • 56:15

was really really sad to watch that video my god you guys I got you

  • 56:22

yeah man prayers to the family no a half years

  • 56:30

for having the weapons in his car yeah cuz that he legally owned they were legally owned in Florida he did not have

  • 56:36

a license to carry them in New York he purchased them in Florida when he was living in Florida and he is he was moving to New York so

  • 56:44

he was obviously yet his belongings in his car yeah and I think during the

  • 56:51

trial there was a lot of character witnesses a lot of his close family was just made it for a much harder time more

  • 56:59

or less cuz a lot of what he's yelling about is a lot of the things that were said about him not exactly him having

  • 57:04

that gun I was my as a question but I

  • 57:15

don't want to seem like I'm trying to cope it all right good

  • 57:25

hold up man whole lot of sad news been going on but let me tell you about this boat morning I got I did everything they

  • 57:35

told me to do food trucks porta-potties smart move

  • 57:41

lights special guests one of those job

  • 57:55

Onion friends yeah we makers used to put

  • 58:03

this specially invited special fans I still do no but the funniest [ __ ] when they really used to do that the people

  • 58:09

were just invited they never confirmed yeah that was there was a loophole you don't promoters man yeah

  • 58:27

you're doing uh are you doing birthday packages I didn't hear you were doing

  • 58:32

birthday packages over a black King sing oh shut up boy all right we're do video what do you all

  • 58:39

want to get to do you want to get to malls small questioning how women cheat or do you want to get to Magic Johnson's

  • 58:47

top 60 male arm be far yeah dj khaled on there well that was his rappers yeah he

  • 58:55

did he did singers he did I didn't see his rapper list oh oh is rapper list is

  • 59:01

hilarious Oh his arm b-list Dougie fresh was on there I could see what there was

  • 59:07

also like 13 well I poor poor magic probably because when I was 16 years old

  • 59:24

you beatbox better I went and I did Showtime at the Apollo that's pretty

  • 59:31

cool and I won wow congratulations oh yeah that's a common ground applause

  • 59:37

and I won right for rapid for rapping and then they invited me back how'd your

  • 59:44

song go I don't remember I don't remember and when they invited me back I

  • 59:51

rapped again but dougie fresh was the host she's hard on him and I didn't win

  • 59:57

this time but I think he had a lot to do with wide and when I finished they

  • 1:00:09

literally say make some noise well no that's what he said and then I came out

  • 1:00:15

and I ran was your name I don't know if they said Mouse then oh I don't remember

  • 1:00:21

my memories bet yeah but that's the problem all he big me a miscibility what

  • 1:00:26

happened I went out there in rap and at that time this is when I might have been trying to pass out demos and rap with this was I'm

  • 1:00:33

rappin in another rapper and when I finished so when I was nowhere near the

  • 1:00:54

same reception I just received for the same record yeah so I think I gave him

  • 1:01:01

some spice at some point we would [ __ ]

  • 1:01:37

you Frisco true and I'm not trying to stir you first no no he's a legend of course he's a legend but I don't think

  • 1:01:45

you would say yeah I don't and we pieced

  • 1:01:50

it up I would hope so when did you pee fresh man after that

  • 1:01:57

did you remind him he reminded me oh you remember man had one of one of them shoots at some point I made sure you

  • 1:02:10

where you improved yeah cuz the power that's how I used to work right you have

  • 1:02:16

to go to like win like three times before you make it tonight yes I'm sure I think I've won twice -

  • 1:02:22

that's why it was bad yeah yeah dougie fresh at 17 yeah Jay Z at 28 I see what

  • 1:02:29

he's doing no you see what no no no no what happened was he started one through

  • 1:02:35

four is fine and then it goes into alphabetical order from there on out so I'm not quite sure how they figured

  • 1:02:40

that out it goes pock big ll run DMC and then after that it's all alphabet okay I'll shoot him a little bell no my boyo

  • 1:02:50

at five I think I'll just go alphabetical possible dj khaled on his

  • 1:02:56

Oh hip-hop artists let's see would he be okay about that oh yeah but I'm talking about his arm beatless he got wide left

  • 1:03:03

hand not Lauryn Hill his RB list is

  • 1:03:09

number ones Michael Jackson number two is Prince number three Stevie Wonder number four Teddy Pendergrass number

  • 1:03:15

five Luther Vandross six Charlie Wilson seven Jeffrey Osborne eight Smokey Robinson nine David Ruffin ten out green

  • 1:03:22

at the now just go he goes Al Jarreau al Wilson Alexander O'Neal Anthony Hamilton a Vaughn see that's Anthony Hamilton

  • 1:03:32

Avant and then babyface this is also an alphabetical order Joe it starts at number 10 in alphabetical

  • 1:03:39

order he's got the first time alphabetical

  • 1:03:53

order should not be in front of it all right I see one man they got mad Johnson

  • 1:04:00

Elliot all right come on come on more why do women she tell us you never know

  • 1:04:08

what you hear with the context just said when women cheat a cheat wish and their wars with more due date she would have

  • 1:04:17

got if they know or is it a random guy that's all I mean Joe's answer was it was crazy but whatever nah I got his

  • 1:04:25

answer uh what was crazy about that because you said when women leave you

  • 1:04:30

they leave you for God that they don't know yeah and I don't see how that makes any sense and when they cheat their

  • 1:04:38

cheating with the guy that they know yeah but I got that part but why don't

  • 1:04:43

know how is a woman's gonna leave you for a [ __ ] she does not know at all cuz

  • 1:04:49

women's wear they know and they don't they swear they know him

  • 1:04:56

they think they know women live for that infatuation stage that's sick leave your

  • 1:05:04

man that you've been with for two years for something you just met I want to go I want to come on in one day I just read

  • 1:05:09

my court documents no please God man I'm not no I'm not okay I'm just telling you

  • 1:05:15

what have you wanted to do why no I don't want to eat it and be let out standing after we're all that's gonna be

  • 1:05:23

like the button up behind music just me the soundtrack why he's reading that [ __ ] why you don't think the chick let

  • 1:05:28

you leave you don't know I'm not saying she wouldn't I'm just saying that's crazy you don't know him you don't even know

  • 1:05:34

what you leaving me fool she didn't know me relax when we got together yeah come

  • 1:05:44

on more so you say we should go with you what she didn't necessarily know me she

  • 1:05:50

I think it takes a couple years to know someone though I agree I mean you learn more about a person but

  • 1:05:56

I mean you don't leave the person you know for the person you don't know I don't think that makes any sense that's

  • 1:06:02

air get more wood pow you don't even know what you're leaving me for who's

  • 1:06:07

your horrible me I finally found out who you were that's crazy but at least you

  • 1:06:14

know me like you don't know he might be worse than me you know that's what got him that's what we always say to them

  • 1:06:21

well that's crazy judging by some of the stories Morel was telling me out in LA he got his long way

  • 1:06:26

to go which means those stories with stories about Sally they was leaving leaving though for you know we were

  • 1:06:44

talking about we was talking about what [ __ ] do when they get in today Sweetback like gotta win him over back

  • 1:19:42

of him walking in the desert I'm talking about the end it's a Dave Chappelle comedy event August 26th yes

  • 1:19:48

sounds like stand-up to me I don't want to be a stand-up yeah August 26 is a Monday I'm watching it

  • 1:19:55

absolutely yeah Morgan Freeman narrating not do it that was dope always good to

  • 1:20:00

hear from more guy should have a nickname no he doesn't have a nickname but he should what would his nickname be

  • 1:20:07

God morgue or God I'll take God - uh well I want to

  • 1:20:15

know cuz he uh the contract that they initially saw and that was before all that [ __ ] ton of money he fulfilled that

  • 1:20:21

right stop counting people's money yeah it's a little gossip you don't you think

  • 1:20:27

talking about the amount of specialist that was in the deal that was put out to the public oh I believe it was three then he

  • 1:20:33

fulfilled their case hopeless doesn't mean that he's gonna disappear again for another decade I thought that was gonna

  • 1:20:40

happen after this whole 2017 when he put out four I was like well we'll never hear his stand out again right but but

  • 1:20:47

it it looks like he fulfilled that contract plus another one I don't know how they're counting those those two together that's four total

  • 1:20:54

either way more Dave Chappelle content is great more yeah not frowned upon we're I'm here for it more Dave I'm

  • 1:21:00

going to see it yeah I gotta see the other two yeah I gotta find all this

  • 1:21:05

mystery specials out on Netflix know they're all together okay um did you

  • 1:21:12

hear all that Epstein's Epstein's uh bodyguard is talking no but I did see that they found

  • 1:21:19

like broken neck bones in his esophagus that indicate strangulation although

  • 1:21:26

they don't know for sure okay hunger so well yeah that could still happen oh they said it's more indicative of a

  • 1:21:32

being strangled to have it here Epstein autopsy reportedly shows broken neck bones more consistent with homicide and

  • 1:21:39

suicide well shocker the autopsy conducted in the wake of

  • 1:21:45

Geoffrey Epstein's death by apparent suicide shows the financière suffered

  • 1:21:51

multiple bricks and his neck bones which while possible during instances of suicidal hanging The Washington Post

  • 1:21:57

reports is more commonly found in homicide victims of strangulation the Epstein our time autopsy is not yet

  • 1:22:04

been made public but the post reporting based on multiple sources familiar with the results shows that the circumstances

  • 1:22:09

surrounding epsteen epsteen s death while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges remain deeply shrouded in

  • 1:22:15

mystery even if they find out it was a homicide it's no one's gonna know you

  • 1:22:20

know I'm saying someone's just gonna take the rap for and I'm gonna make somebody that they had nothing to do with it take the rap for it or that no

  • 1:22:28

well but what do you all believe Oh funny for sure there's something some

  • 1:22:34

funny business yeah he had to go he was he was great at I felt like he was greater bring down a lot of it or mention a lot of powerful

  • 1:22:41

names yeah and they couldn't have that yeah I was reading up on him he had the name

  • 1:22:48

name yeah he was he was the plug yeah I'm bringing him in he had the blacklist yeah yep sick [ __ ]

  • 1:22:56

and you never find out no still waiting on a Sondra Blanchett to come out did

  • 1:23:04

anybody watch the heart the meat dog I didn't see a chance it's good I heard it's real good yeah we talked

  • 1:23:13

about watching the movies in LA yeah you say you had Netflix on your phone didn't actually see it though Netflix on the

  • 1:23:23

phone thing I gotta tell you man that's you kind of changed my life a little bit this is not this is not an ad yeah

  • 1:23:29

Netflix on the phone this might be my first LA trip I didn't leave the room I ain't hit crazy girls

  • 1:23:36

Sam's well still open well Sam's are

  • 1:23:42

still open still hope Sam's is 100% is not closing saying though Sam is a staple yeah that's what that other one I

  • 1:23:48

listen Netflix on the phone to move thank you more yeah thank thank you for putting me on to that yes though I knew

  • 1:23:57

about it but I never downloaded until mall said it was the [ __ ] yeah oh he needed him off there he did the most to

  • 1:24:03

him I assume they would it would lag unless you had the greatest Wi-Fi ever be on regular this should be fine wall

  • 1:24:10

    stay at pink man that's a good question no it's still red there's a co-op a print

  • 1:24:16

no I can't ask you you know it's not

  • 1:24:22

coal pink orange did y'all say how do I know what your stamp is called junk did y'all see oh [ __ ] I ain't a shower early

  • 1:24:27

when we was talking about odd Nick do y'all put anything and I'm not starting anything Carter [ __ ] I'm asking a regular question mm-hmm after I a nice

  • 1:24:34

done after our interview cardi tweeted all of these stats about not being on a

  • 1:24:40

list but her album selling in blah blah blah blah blah yeah she were flat yeah

  • 1:24:47

it sounds like reply didn't see the tweets or response yeah we know it's a response not it rap stats rap stats are

  • 1:24:53

so weird really weird and they're getting weirder yeah I don't think

  • 1:24:59

that's a good way to even gauge war between rappers rap stats yeah but they

  • 1:25:05

stopped letting it be words yeah so how do you do it

  • 1:25:10

like everything my analytics Nikki said Nikki said I'm top 10 dead or alive

  • 1:25:16

male or female right and in Shana from Philly who I saw that who I [ __ ] super

  • 1:25:23

super super respect her pen game but it's been a while of course hmm shut up from Philly or Chicago Chicago Chicago

  • 1:25:31

    y'all wait who am I thinking about fulfilling oh [ __ ] that's [ __ ] up I'm getting her confused with all that

  • 1:25:36

Philly chick is nice man is gonna bother me younger older she's older now I'm sure I'm a dear now Bahama D came

  • 1:25:43

after her dammit that's gonna bother me the fans are gonna tell me exactly don't like the suit obviously not he's not

  • 1:25:49

talking about Eve guys yeah not Eve mom but yes Shauna who can rap I really respect her pen huh

  • 1:25:56

I said she ass on the say about that [ __ ] and all the barbs responded but

  • 1:26:01

with rap stats because what does Nikki look like responding to Shana but Shawn

  • 1:26:07

and I was down with DJ yeah that's buddy guy's daughter to miss Christmas mmm the girl I'm talking about

  • 1:26:14

had a single out in everything she was killing no name was like miss something

  • 1:26:23

[Music] it was a nice nice nice nice

  • 1:26:30

she was nice okay okay filly J was mad her to the filly list yeah she's good

  • 1:26:37

night Billy half of [ __ ] me silly can rap really yeah that was the thing who I

  • 1:26:49

hurt yeah where she killed that [ __ ] and filly is your own dude every way we're one yeah well stop Jersey listen once you

  • 1:26:57

pass exit eight on the Turnpike wait Phil you got their [ __ ] once they start

  • 1:27:02

getting like five miles between exits yeah that's different tenants sure

  • 1:27:08

everything but now I can't be mad at Cardiff you're saying that cuz Carter came into rapid and said hey I'm just here to make a lot of money and I'm

  • 1:27:15

never mad at that this old I mean I think everyone in music wants to make a lot of money I don't she's made it kind

  • 1:27:22

of clear that that was us are really only go go again there's plenty of people that do it for if drew Mozart yeah yeah I think Cartier there's a lot

  • 1:27:30

of people to do it for happy I'm not saying that people don't do it for the art but people definitely do it for the money where's common on your list I don't know

  • 1:27:38

twenty-seven common would be that low maybe higher that low twenty-seven is

  • 1:27:46

really good way seven low alright we're confusing what low and high is here I'm saying low towards number one yeah oh

  • 1:27:53

god I gotta go yeah he might be he might be higher than that lower whatever he might be closer to closing number one

  • 1:27:58

yes oh wow okay he's got to classical never mad at common a bunch I wasn't

  • 1:28:03

really good albums when she was on the classic resurrection in be and I think

  • 1:28:12

both those are class and a couple of the other one that came out that Kanye did around be if I was called off my head no

  • 1:28:18

you look relaxed takes like would've chocolate that was also to me a classic oh it's not that

  • 1:28:23

who's the best rapper turned actor was hello I'm trying to get us all for where

  • 1:28:28

common is he's a rapper turned actor he isn't done they need tell well no I

  • 1:28:35

think Will Smith is LL Cool J park yeah but it's pop this POC better

  • 1:28:43

than L rapping yes POC is one beat on my list I'm not

  • 1:28:48

saying like all the sliders obviously POC would be wow I would say obviously ll is probably underrated to some degree

  • 1:28:55

but rapping rapping do you think he's better than Ella oh no POC is not on that list for me on that list

  • 1:29:00

yeah but I have to put them to of course because of what he did and yeah yeah I'll think about that in LA like that's

  • 1:29:07

still into it I would like to try to figure out how many albums came out since Makaveli that are better than Makaveli I would love to do that one day

  • 1:29:16

the albums that came out after Machiavelli Makaveli and life after death I'd like to do both of those not a

  • 1:29:23

ton I don't think it's a whole bunch how many rap haven't that came up a bad record gorgeous on the same plane at

  • 1:29:30

least same same play and what was that 90 same key not 97 definitely 97 we can

  • 1:29:38

look these things up guys I built him you don't have to look it up I'll guarantee you is that easy all right go life after death and Mecca Mele say

  • 1:29:45

mirrors would say for him I don't think it's gonna be a came out 96 Makaveli

  • 1:29:51

    yeah November 5th I don't think it's

  • 1:29:58

gonna be a whole lot of them I'll tell you that whole lot as in you I don't think you'll get to 25 finding forever

  • 1:30:06

was that common Elam yeah find it forever and the other one around the time is a resurrection with the Lauryn

  • 1:30:11

Hill song was a great album - yeah you're in like he's electronic album I did I was one of the few people that liked that out that a universal mind

  • 1:30:17

control I thought was dope although the remix that Pharrell did I forgot what

  • 1:30:23

    that [ __ ] [ __ ] was called mouth goddamn it had a Macy Gray and I think there's a dope come close where's the

  • 1:30:30

mantras a dope song who's off that oh yeah there's a couple good songs in that Laurie can you stop saying Universal market electronic when you just asked

  • 1:30:37

about saying you're talking about electric circus he had a couple uh not a wack you wants to whack one hold up man

  • 1:30:44

I know [ __ ] wack you're talking about I like it though I know you told what this

  • 1:30:49

album though cuz I got killed when I was like yo is any1 like before internet

  • 1:30:54

share was two of them that were both like really too weird nah I was on the Internet that was after the body I remember going into my college

  • 1:31:00

cafeteria a new comment albums dope right and just getting a yo - [ __ ]

  • 1:31:07

college kids that is why because they get this attachment to certain music that came out then you just in the dorm

  • 1:31:31

never give us some of the dope College stories like playing universal mom

  • 1:31:40

that's why they kick them out loud get

  • 1:31:46

them the [ __ ] out in like use blast in that [ __ ] every night to get Rory he was

  • 1:32:17

a song was hard - can you turn this

  • 1:32:29

[ __ ] off this song wasn't bad though this song was hard was about there was a cup of good sauce but why didn't think

  • 1:32:35

that they could go to Pharrell for the extra weird record and it's gonna be cool it usually works it works sometimes yeah

  • 1:32:40

that's why sometimes it don't know sob did know but that's for the whole Neptunes album word there was just them

  • 1:32:46

then they have like the rock band playing on it that she was a great album it was weird aside in any group it'll

  • 1:32:51

work yeah yeah agree fair shot a change dad would you don't get his flow check this dam

  • 1:32:59

came out the wagging Chad wants his fellow Kanye shits Kanye is there next

  • 1:33:04

time during this one right no this is Neptune's I went to make some movies

  • 1:33:11

after this one Betty does miss the DJ oh

  • 1:33:19

he's listed as an exec exec producer oh

  • 1:33:35

great great grandfather deal they had a run thank you a lot of good albums on

  • 1:33:42

that good imprint I'm just looking at comments of saag Rafi outside of that one we can say that one but dreamer believer was great on

  • 1:33:48

good music yeah that was one no I did not he did right yeah oh yeah will you

  • 1:33:53

get the comment and the ron brown's from

  • 1:34:02

downtown do you hear about of Yaqui

  • 1:34:09

about our tryna the question i had a head off of our comments and I [ __ ]

  • 1:34:15

forgot but no there's Makaveli thing that we offer that I don't care about that anymore that common question took

  • 1:34:21

me somewhere more moment for you but whatever y'all care about our Empire shooting we're Jesse got beat up at they

  • 1:34:31

got me that's great great job it's not

  • 1:34:39

like say yo listen [ __ ] yo in which I'll be talking about like say this will be

  • 1:34:44

filming that [ __ ] big recording that [ __ ] no I think is corny that still

  • 1:34:50

works perfect yeah if your corner you're allowed to do corny [ __ ] I just want to see the episode for that scene like wait

  • 1:34:56

when they play that scene I'm not a subway placement I'm not gonna see the whole season I just want to know when

  • 1:35:01

they show that when they filmed a yeah [ __ ] get beat up in that scene is like

  • 1:35:07

I a while no wallet you gotta have a subway subway with like just like a

  • 1:35:15

    Quiznos yeah same [ __ ] I'm down that's

  • 1:35:21

disrespectful Blimpie's I'll watch though all right so y'all cure not care

  • 1:35:26

I'm gonna watch I like it like the move I'm pretty far behind an empire I'm

  • 1:35:32

gonna know one good lines even in its the hello I've never seen one episode of him first

  • 1:35:37

season was intriguing but then it yeah it lost me here I think TV's having the same problem

  • 1:35:42

that music is having us so uh I saw a clip with Rap City saying it's something like every time a new song come that's

  • 1:35:47

like 5,000 new songs at a time they drop I mean that movies but TV shows like TV

  • 1:35:53

show has got to do a lot to sustain the audience yeah I want so many good shows out right now once they once Jesse

  • 1:36:01

couldn't figure out if he was gay or not with Alicia Keys I I was done with that show right now we can't figure out the

  • 1:36:08

guy you're not he was like 35 and petted mad gay relational if that AC crane was confused

  • 1:36:15

grabbing rebounds we do man [ __ ] on you

  • 1:36:24

talk to them what do you do man you got it tell me where AC green disease and they follow that home like you whenever

  • 1:36:31

you just go right at a secret what I guess a lot the people I could say no but no but you go at a seato cuz he well

  • 1:36:38

I go at him because as a youth hmm when I first heard that when I was watching

  • 1:36:45

the game and I didn't know what y'all what they would say it ends they Annette this is someone you became an adult

  • 1:37:00

green is he is he good I don't know I don't know he was a virgin he posted up

  • 1:37:06

a lot with no post game

  • 1:37:16

that was bad that wasn't as bad Posten

  • 1:37:26

up yeah not post without a post up game yeah you can't just have your back to the basket all night demanding the ball

  • 1:37:54

in the post I'm waving him off why do we

  • 1:38:02

sit on yeah but now you want to bring up his bat fight he was averaging 30 no he

  • 1:38:09

wasn't nine point six averaged seven

  • 1:38:16

rebounds thing but on a team that ain't bad Wayman Tisdale do all the hard work

  • 1:38:32

rest in peace I ain't talking to nobody and Wayman said night on the Lakers more

  • 1:38:38

when everybody be on the Lakers so they don't change my sentence saying he

  • 1:38:44

didn't have to do much with that [ __ ] monster team there uh we enter ye save

  • 1:38:49

it all well he was found guilty yeah but he just got like I said probation some

  • 1:38:55

whatever I think he has to pay was a lot it was like twenty great we know money was that's all it was about and these

  • 1:39:01

ones know that they can be paid they wanted fifteen grand and he gave him like fifteen on it oh they have to split

  • 1:39:08

that between three of them wait what good that's like she already tried to

  • 1:39:13

sue me with that the dog bitter and she won at fifteen grand yeah I know hey good luck with that dog you gotta relax

  • 1:39:21

well first of all damn Brooklyn Suze I should give it all didn't bite anyone

  • 1:39:27

that's first of all now that I have a number here Brooklyn got me once I was still got a scar yeah

  • 1:39:33

your book nice to be tripping a lot calm now yeah it's fine he's calm what else do we have what else do we

  • 1:39:39

have uh you care about this wailing Drake records coming out tonight whose

  • 1:39:45

record is this way sir swilley's yeah I was interested on a beach no I'm gonna go down no vibrations

  • 1:39:54

I was interested in that record not that record but I saw him tees I saw him

  • 1:40:00

cheese a record called sex to see and I'm interested to hear yeah I have high

  • 1:40:07

expectations for all Swilley music yeah they put out a good material especially

  • 1:40:12

a lead Rick records ooh yeah up how long you think his run will be um I think

  • 1:40:19

he's telling setting up to have a Longworth Suellen yeah yeah you say dolo

  • 1:40:25

or race for me included no no no it's a lot we really heard too much about race

  • 1:40:32

rumor and then after that there was a

  • 1:40:37

whole big commotion about slim Jimmy separating himself and did he apologize but that was after five videos and it's

  • 1:40:44

Whateley never really say about it they just weird together like they hang out a lot I know I'm just saying that this was

  • 1:40:51

a thing at one point and we haven't heard a race rumored song since then as well van and now we're getting more sway

  • 1:40:57

Lee music mmm could have been the plan to regardless or maybe that whole thing maybe maybe we get some Jimmy music

  • 1:41:03

someone I'm just saying what is happening now but to answer your question what I think suede he's gonna be Ralph a little while yeah he's gonna

  • 1:41:09

I think he's using enough sound what is a little while with the life expectancy of rap today what is a little while well

  • 1:41:15

he's not right when you say a little I think he's surpassed the grammar they're usually the life he's not a rapper

  • 1:41:22

well what is he uh easy to make man Barbie list we do we do we get throw

  • 1:41:32

fastest yeah um what is he he's not right is it could it be class classified

  • 1:41:40

as hip-hop I think on that that first album they was rapper was jungkook I

  • 1:41:46

think they've got more melodic but they were rapping on that first one young thug is hip-hop si rapper oh he's a trapper it's a male

  • 1:41:54

is Aubrey doing a lot as far as what features and so yeah he's feel it feels

  • 1:42:01

like he's been on everything almost he does this every year I was gonna say oh this isn't added this is not a character

  • 1:42:06

summertime run if he don't have a project out you he's still in your ear yeah he makes sure of that he's been

  • 1:42:13

doing that for the hawk cam remember how long he's gonna be on the hottest racket he's gonna be an artist record you're

  • 1:42:19

right I don't know why it feels different to me right now maybe because of the Chris Brown reconciliation maybe that was bigger the

  • 1:42:27

video like he normally don't doing videos with everybody but that was a moment that was a moment I think this is

  • 1:42:33

gonna be a moment uh sure I don't think it as far as press and news and

  • 1:42:38

everything of them together - yeah that's not uncommon but we me gave Ross

  • 1:42:45

    - money in the grave is his record gold roses there's a trade ya ain't givin to

  • 1:42:51

this one is his record one is Ross's record money on the grave is durricks record yes and that was in that

  • 1:42:56

    championship two back-to-back Shakur how

  • 1:43:06

is that not a drink record no it is a Drake record but that's not the same favor I call you to jump on my Lucy Lucy

  • 1:43:15

I'm putting out and then I'm jumping on your album even though I'm putting the Lucy out immediately bad just know just

  • 1:43:22

go ahead and record that I don't normally go like that they just need a whole project together

  • 1:43:28

that's what they need to do [ __ ] that - II think they said Ross is projected to

  • 1:43:33

do 80 oh yeah a salad that's really good yeah that's great coley [ __ ] well go for

  • 1:43:39

a good album so we were off it worked yeah I just wish I would have heard big

  • 1:43:44

yeah hoses I'll be honest with you I think we were talking off mic before the Nicki episode I have Ross at maybe 55

  • 1:43:50

what about my guess so that I'm far what I thought I'm wrong about a lot of [ __ ] yes I cannot believe cuz there's no real

  • 1:43:57

way to gauge it anymore I can't believe that that wolly record is not charted which one this one show it's not

  • 1:44:04

charting really you'd run with Jeremiah yeah I haven't looked at the charts [ __ ]

  • 1:44:10

that's a really good record I don't look at the charts either but while I would have said something I don't think that

  • 1:44:18

it's charting today that's now crack that's not saying that it won't write but that's ridiculous to me

  • 1:44:24

something is wrong actually that brings

  • 1:44:30

me to a [ __ ] article that I read from none other than Spotify his very own call cherry got out to call good guy

  • 1:44:37

friend to show of course where he basically alludes to songs structured

  • 1:44:46

with the R&B hook song by the girl

  • 1:44:53

singer just being a dated style of record or as far as a hit anyway in 2019

  • 1:45:01

there's no longer a wide he says this in 2019 there's no longer a widely accepted obvious pathway to a hit single the

  • 1:45:08

standard formula we've all grown used to the arm be friendly rap song package to reach mass appeal is nearly absent from

  • 1:45:15

the Hot 100 at the moment for roughly two decades the fast track to a mainstream rap hit was to adopt a proven

  • 1:45:21

recipe that made the Jon were more digestible on a large scale take a familiar 70's or 80's funk soul or pop

  • 1:45:28

sample flip it into a summer ready soundscape insert two to three verses at an R&B hook preferably by recognizable

  • 1:45:35

singer and you have a radio friendly and commercially viable single he goes on to

  • 1:45:41

make a whole bunch examples but he basically says that that is dead it's

  • 1:45:47

changed slightly now they do it with rap samples Drake Lauryn Hill my type Petey

  • 1:45:55

Pablo there's a million things were now instead of sampling no yes be flow she

  • 1:46:02

right there parks I do think what he's saying though with that traditional thing that killed in the mm of the

  • 1:46:09

nineties the rap here's such a that single well did you know mm was get a

  • 1:46:16

little emo white chick on the course that was you know was coming next is

  • 1:46:25

just like I've been saying no more singles put your [ __ ] project together and put it out let the people

  • 1:46:30

determine you say that but there's an entire genre within hip-hop that is

  • 1:46:36

artists that are just single artists they're not album artist at all like I think a lot of the younger kids only

  • 1:46:42

really put out singles like we didn't get a easy album for man long get about ten singles and Atlantic was like no

  • 1:46:48

just keep putting out singles [ __ ] album this is what's working for you I think the more like artists artists

  • 1:46:54

people that really want to make b-sides and or records and put them on one album

  • 1:47:01

you don't but I'm I thing is you can't whose whose determine and all of them

  • 1:47:07

don't even want to make album and elect what an SS doesn't that's different I'm

  • 1:47:12

tomorrow album artists listen now you don't need a single anymore but let the people determine which records they like

  • 1:47:18

to help stream it however many times like who's the last can you name five

  • 1:47:23

album artists right now to sell more than two hundred we won first week no

  • 1:47:30

probably the Cole Kendrick Drake actually can you know live album artist

  • 1:47:35

right now there's three those yeah actually named seven I think Sean is our

  • 1:47:41

most I mean you could definitely name seven now Marty yeah they were Rihanna

  • 1:47:46

rap over just rat yeah of course I'm not talk about mainstream obviously I think

  • 1:47:52

you Travis Scott Travis Travis yes Drake yes J Cole Cole yes Kendrick yes that's

  • 1:48:00

for Ross row no he said that will sell 200 first week that's what I say sorry

  • 1:48:07

but I'm at James did his name once let's bless his name anywhere I'm counting Ross um let's just try to name the album artists I think chains

  • 1:48:13

Elmore's Oh chains to change who's sure to change um you guys might think I'm

  • 1:48:19

[ __ ] nuts but I can make a case cardi B you're now calling you album artist with one out you know just number one

  • 1:48:26

out I'm not I'm not calling him nut I see his point no it's if her success her step-over

  • 1:48:33

success came from how that specific album and each record on there was damn near charted on number one like you're

  • 1:48:39

an album artist and you're go now is I think press is setting up before some type of a now like I think hers our

  • 1:48:46

cycles are with albums not with just a bunch of singles so I think you could say cardi B is album artist I'm not

  • 1:48:51

gonna say that with one album so on that's it I'm at six which we named

  • 1:48:57

Eminem you think future is yeah sure

  • 1:49:03

yeah Eminem M for sure is album or che

  • 1:49:08

TI is album RJ he's not rapping though Kanye yeah oh wait we got out of the

  • 1:49:16

whole thing of selling over 200 ohm eat

  • 1:49:23

me Cassandra personality yeah but there's not a lot of guys that are doing over 200 pushes out martes yeah well he

  • 1:49:32

said made sure yeah okay sure yeah cuz I would have said worse yes but my point

  • 1:49:40

is this is not so many there's not so many album artist if 30 seconds counts

  • 1:49:45

to a stream all these [ __ ] are trying to find loopholes in the system they putting out two packs they putting out

  • 1:49:51

90 second songs they putting out eight song projects like you saying the single

  • 1:49:57

was gonna die I think at some point out the album is gonna die dubs and bigger danger in the single yeah that's what I

  • 1:50:04

think he piece i person 100 percent yes a lot in shorter the album to eat peas

  • 1:50:10

that's fact the album b3 yes well it's because people's attention span is so

  • 1:50:15

short now no it's cuz the artists hanging paid a long way

  • 1:50:20

so the fact that there's so much music like I don't want to listen to an hour and a half of one artist because I would

  • 1:50:26

rather listen to three 30-minute albums for lunch people and that's just like my TV analogy if I get to episode 8 and the

  • 1:50:33

season and you start no tail off I'm going in my other show yeah attention

  • 1:50:38

span I'll even say a lot of those a lot of these shows that are that are our episodes I have to be really particular

  • 1:50:45

now I'm reading exactly description show me a trailer I need a cosign from someone I trust like dedicating to just try to get into

  • 1:50:52

a show takes three to four hours you don't have room for error yeah in entertainment I kind of efficacy

  • 1:50:58

I need a multiple and socially damn they're getting rid of room for error

  • 1:51:04

yeah that's deep I mean when things are so accessible yeah analytics are so

  • 1:51:11

readily available it's very easy to tell and and I also say with everyone on

  • 1:51:19

earth having a platform to give their opinion things get killed off pretty

  • 1:51:25

[ __ ] quickly the way they didn't before yeah although things getting killed off

  • 1:51:32

on Twitter or not the same as things getting killed off in real life that's something that's a really yeah and I've

  • 1:51:40

said on here that the world is much bigger than your timeline but at the same time I've seen it work I've seen

  • 1:51:45

memes get artists the [ __ ] out of here and in some cases it's happened yeah I

  • 1:51:50

don't think it's the normal look enough said it can't grow into more of a norm but we're all over to play I remember

  • 1:51:56

what we talked about we were talking about singles and our bead the formula

  • 1:52:02

bar and B that's what started the conversation ah that's what started I can't believe that that record is not

  • 1:52:07

charting that's what started the conversation yeah that's crazy I like that record a lot and I think

  • 1:52:13

while eight no I love that we're gonna think while a supposed to drop soon yes he announced tour dates and that is

  • 1:52:20

exactly how my career went awry that moment right there when you find out

  • 1:52:26

that a label is about to drop your album mm-hmm under just some

  • 1:52:33

other circumstances like yeah uh everybody got cursed out the whole

  • 1:52:39

building got cursed out from me I was young and mature and emotional no you're not putting my album out and we don't

  • 1:52:45

have a song on a radio we have a song charting I don't have product placement the videos trash well nobody knows [ __ ]

  • 1:52:53

about [ __ ] and you just want to put my album out for what right why right but I

  • 1:53:00

mean it would depend on what wall a project we're getting if we're getting a wallet while a is album artist I agree 100%

  • 1:53:06

I agree he makes really good albums he also makes really good singles so I'm of

  • 1:53:12

the I'm I but I don't need to hear two album I know I'm gonna sound and this is not add I don't work for that label or

  • 1:53:18

wallet well labels and this isn't specific about wale but to your point of

  • 1:53:25

them just wanting to push it out labels get cold feet really easily if something doesn't work the first time they'll put

  • 1:53:31

your [ __ ] out just so they can drop you let's just let's get this [ __ ] we're gonna lose too much money I know it's

  • 1:53:37

not working that's why I'm putting it out so I can get the [ __ ] away from you yeah that's fair and I don't think

  • 1:53:44

that's the case here while is I think just I think they thought that this at this record would just that's weird at

  • 1:53:49

that record isn't shortened so it's a very very friendly billboard record its

  • 1:53:55

    what's it's a uh you man's point Karl Karl that that's he's right that

  • 1:54:02

structure is a bit dated I don't think Wally's record is dated that structure is just dated that that

  • 1:54:08

record as much as I love Wally and I like that song it's a safe record you know I'm saying like I don't think that

  • 1:54:13

safe is as successful as far as charts radio play as far as like well that is

  • 1:54:20

an old formula yeah yeah but in Wally's defense everyone's kind of killed him

  • 1:54:25

for being experimental with certain things saying he'll go back to your bad formula you know the [ __ ] that charted

  • 1:54:32

was another one that he had that was like that there was the bad [ __ ] with a rush shoot lotus flower bomb like those

  • 1:54:40

types of records while a his one with so I can see him going well let me go

  • 1:54:46

this formula is that's dated or be hooked harmony hook verse RB hook Lauren B says fine sign that day that I love it

  • 1:54:54

I love David meek dangerous that's that's dated they call one did not the

  • 1:55:01

same formula it is it is how successful is that song I'm sure successful yeah yeah I mean

  • 1:55:07

that [ __ ] still please look after little while a record come on no good not like a month that could be a slow burn that

  • 1:55:17

record it could take a minute and I see while I actually working it so maybe

  • 1:55:23

give it a second that's what I'm saying you just don't tell me you giving it a second if you put in an album out in

  • 1:55:28

September did he say that I just saw the tour I just saw this or well so I

  • 1:55:34

started September so you'd imagine that album I'll come out before that damn and

  • 1:55:39

the whole game is like getting like reversed I'm Emily used to tour before to album I mean um when you get me used

  • 1:55:48

the tour well you dropped the promo run yeah the kind of touch the people peaked

  • 1:55:54

at number twelve what people number twelve dangerous that's high that's hot that's a record

  • 1:56:00

yeah that's a great record my only point is so on some artists to do that is that

  • 1:56:06

style dated or do we just pick and choose who we want it from it senses only spent two weeks on the chart though

  • 1:56:12

which is interesting that's weird to peak that high and always been to eases

  • 1:56:18

anytime I get a new Bert or a cab and they're listening to the radio that fast that song is [ __ ] everytime dangerous

  • 1:56:25

is coming on at the pool party or until it's coming on into pool party as it should the jungle album deadness coming

  • 1:56:31

on at the pool party what else is coming with a pool boy it's gonna be some joints did you just know I'm responsible for don't play your Tupac set I would

  • 1:56:40

love the two bucks and so would wall yeah I would what and so what more love a to box it yeah give me two three Tupac

  • 1:56:47

songs and I'm done after that no you gotta give me something else it I think

  • 1:56:52

that I think you could play and you can do more than that if I don't get old song I'll do that cuz I you can write

  • 1:56:57

you can run through some power just play howdy

  • 1:57:33

yeah anyway all right we all over money

  • 1:57:57

be money be hey yo what's up love how you doing well I've been hanging slang and trying to do my thing oh you thought

  • 1:58:03

that was your homegirl you went to school with that's cool but did she tell you you wasn't coming outside no you

  • 1:58:09

substance you spaghetti sandwich I wasn't Joey spaghetti sandwich is

  • 1:58:14

looking out the window that's exactly what I was doing no no I was out I did buy table know everybody

  • 1:58:22

had that out anybody had to t-shirt what was the name of that BAM hot sex package

  • 1:58:28

some dumb [ __ ] this new underground was freaky I was part of fun rap like how

  • 1:58:35

they be [ __ ] on the junkies now fun rat sex wasn't it like fake [ __ ]

  • 1:58:40

blow-up dolls on stage and [ __ ] though that's hard to take it was they was on some [ __ ] yeah thank you trying to get

  • 1:58:47

away for the sons of the P that wasn't the one but then that sex packets album

  • 1:58:53

that was the serious [ __ ] Elmas art you

  • 1:58:58

know what's funny for me to be such a lyrical miracle type of guy who loves all his [ __ ] all that hard lyric what

  • 1:59:04

comes after available spiritual spiritual always comes out there like in

  • 1:59:10

my childhood I liked a lot of the the gimmicky guys course when your kid that's what you like yeah it was fun right kidding play

  • 1:59:18

yeah kitten play was fun rap Will Smith Fresh Prince what's on man that's a producer now polka-dots

  • 1:59:25

kwame call me Dan don't tell me Kwame was fun ramp he was I thought he was

  • 1:59:31

killing but everyone's sad oh yeah yeah everyone was killers when I was a kid I

  • 1:59:36

missed the fun yep getting a qualm a sleeper whoo that's it

  • 1:59:43

I'm doing it Kwame sleep live that was my [ __ ] they was teasing him for the polka-dots and I was confused that she

  • 1:59:48

was flyy I didn't know I would later on but commander the worst dress rappers and pop that was the foundation and I

  • 1:59:55

don't really think that's true either you go dick and that [ __ ] be looking but that's just like I know I know I

  • 2:00:01

know I know I know I know I know I know I know I know we we went to Brooklyn and

  • 2:00:10

mall couldn't be more in tune with what was happening on the stage come on even a major show think of a [ __ ] I was

  • 2:00:17

dressed just like that how the dress better than that tell me I wasn't

  • 2:00:22

dressed better than J Cole when he was on in Brooklyn you weren't you weren't all y'all a [ __ ] dick rods but we'd learn that already if you weren't hey we

  • 2:00:29

already know it I'll show me what you was just about it's fine we're not going to his radio station that much anyway uh

  • 2:00:36

we were yeah we were yet we'll yet to

  • 2:00:44

sleep no I do want to I do want to know Carl Carl later on in that article went on to say that to decline in that

  • 2:00:52

formula working he attributes to the decline in arm b1 and the decline in

  • 2:01:00

radio once dreaming got popping he said that formula just kind of went out the

  • 2:01:06

window a little bit has there been a decline with RB yes from Sam Cooke when

  • 2:01:12

you want to start well Marvin I'm saying

  • 2:01:18

somebody say as far as popularity I think there's been a new spark in the new R&B generation I think that ice and

  • 2:01:24

is not the number one label gun we tell about the art of it okay talking I was

  • 2:01:29

asking I think that's what you meant Oh underground or bees been great for

  • 2:01:35

the past that's what I'm getting it was he talking about the actual making of the music or I don't know popular I

  • 2:01:42

meant just more popular like says I don't think it's pop I could consider her in the popular area of R&B oh yeah

  • 2:01:49

she's not she's just popular no I meant why I meant literally popular let me read it in front of I took him to me I

  • 2:01:55

took him to me the talent level okay because I think R&B isn't probably wanted its bigger spaces in the past ten

  • 2:02:03

years the decline of the formula also seems to be transpiring during a loss in popularity for R&B that's what I was

  • 2:02:10

asking and the blurring of the genre lines that make hip-hop and R&B at times hardly distinguishable from one another

  • 2:02:17

today with rappers as the primary artists are still difficult to define because of their rampant use of melody

  • 2:02:24

the aforementioned London and panini and save 50 cents 21 questions shear the

  • 2:02:30

same lineage but they feel like distant relatives whereas the idea of a radio song was pretty specific in the 90s and

  • 2:02:37

2000's so much so that caressed one teamed up with uh RM to take some shots

  • 2:02:42

at the concept back in 91 oh the concept of a streaming friendly song is much broader trap is the sound

  • 2:02:48

de jour but the common threads and patterns between songs are difficult to pinpoint today hence the range of

  • 2:02:54

subject matter from this year's biggest rap songs how can we have Annette Carl on our podcast that was extreme oh it's

  • 2:03:03

extremely well thought out and made mad [ __ ] sense we're stupid let's call

  • 2:03:08

him he'll be a good guess where's the thing with jiggy thingamajiggy was that

  • 2:03:23

our beer was that hip-hop we'll never know Larry lines how do I do

  • 2:03:29

this how do I make it come through the thing about jiggy hold on buddy nuts I

  • 2:03:35

don't know how to make this man yell all right this is Joe Budden calling from the Joe

  • 2:03:42

Budden podcast Lord how are you doing I am excellent we're talking to the one

  • 2:03:49

and only car cherry now the public doesn't really know that name so they

  • 2:03:55

don't know that they should give a [ __ ] about you but fine well they're doing this for the public I just read your article about the melodic songs no

  • 2:04:03

longer being relevant as singles or the standard song structure for singles yep

  • 2:04:09

even though I read it tell me more do you believe that you said what you

  • 2:04:16

know I do i do I think if you look at the last few years on all the songs

  • 2:04:23

almost of the most popular songs has been trap centric like think about both

  • 2:04:30

at yellow think about bad and boozy think about black beetle is that none of them that's not really you it's not fair

  • 2:04:37

call you don't think it's fair trap trap has been big since trap was introduced

  • 2:04:43

right trap is a formula as well sure but

  • 2:04:50

that was specific to the formula we have known for years the one with the rats in

  • 2:04:56

the army hooks that's what I was referring to not trap specifically those

  • 2:05:02

are the ones that the labels has been you know suggesting is the faster path

  • 2:05:09

to a hit for years true you don't agree no that is true yeah I just

  • 2:05:16

you also said in the article that this theory does not apply to the heavy

  • 2:05:21

hitters yeah I think they're g-code I think it doesn't matter what they put out there just reacts like if so you saw

  • 2:05:28

like that part where I mentioned Cole right and how he just moved away from the formula

  • 2:05:34

if Cole was to come out tomorrow with a single with our abuser that [ __ ] will be out of here cuz these

  • 2:05:41

guys is so massive by now what do you say about a record like Meek Mill

  • 2:05:46

    dangerous well good point

  • 2:05:51

    [ __ ] pretty big now yeah no he's

  • 2:05:58

absolutely upper echelon he's not kidding I think he's a notch under cold Kendrick and Drake respectfully what no he's not

  • 2:06:07

quite like that yeah he's not he's not yeah you're not quite there but but

  • 2:06:13

that's a good point meets you be able to pull it off it is trying it's just not going all the way like all the

  • 2:06:19

exceptions that I name have a certain level celebrity cardis another one that I name she's huge

  • 2:06:26

so we're talking about Kendrick great cardi and colder and he wants to and

  • 2:06:33

listen I brought this conversation up on my podcast because I'll be honest with you I'm super confused about why Lee's

  • 2:06:40

record not doing what I honestly none yo you know I don't understand it okay so

  • 2:06:50

so you know what it is because [ __ ] is transition from radio to streaming all those songs like the the

  • 2:06:58

meek song didn't stream well I tried to playlist it personally it didn't do well doesn't react I think that audience just

  • 2:07:04

likes the trap sheet its while a is sticking to a radio format me and him were talking about that [ __ ] I literally

  • 2:07:11

started writing to think piece cuz I was texting back and forth well while a about one chill and I told them I have a

  • 2:07:17

theory I need to share with me because black bunny all the songs that name like

  • 2:07:22

the the right here record with [ __ ] Eric Bella's it actually was crazy to me but it's not

  • 2:07:30

you put it on playlist it does okay it's not for kids it gets the kid it and

  • 2:07:36

that's another thing maybe the kids don't give a [ __ ] about that format yeah we grew up on them maybe yes when we were getting there Mike Lee's Wally is

  • 2:07:44

an older artist at this point he's been active since whoa seven yeah around six

  • 2:07:50

yellow all the guy we named and I'm older than um but all the guys we name a technically getting

  • 2:07:56

older by rap years they're all over 30 yeah they're all over 35 probably close

  • 2:08:03

to it yeah so I'm sad now that that that

  • 2:08:09

said and I'll be honest we're old men you mean a 10 we're not gonna get another I need a girl

  • 2:08:16

what would hip-hop be without I need a girl and I need a girl part too like honestly we're not getting wanna do

  • 2:08:21

it you gonna get it from Bergen Chris Brown oh you know what Lauren B now what we're still gonna get them it'll come

  • 2:08:27

back the sound will come back I think you know I think it's time for um I feel

  • 2:08:33

like we've been stuck with the same sound for too long it's time for like a [ __ ] yeah hey think about it we've been

  • 2:08:40

in a post so far gone it always well more or less in 10 years

  • 2:08:48

it's a decade ago decade and it's Late Late anybody right go back to the beginning a hip hop no sound has been

  • 2:08:55

dominat for that long yeah nothing but you literally it's usually a couple

  • 2:09:01

years then it shifts so somebody gotta break the mold somebody gotta bring something to the table that makes

  • 2:09:06

everyone go in that direction it used to be Kanye do you do you have a pick food that might be I don't know I

  • 2:09:15

honestly I can't call it I thought Travis was gonna do that but I

  • 2:09:21

think people just can't make his sound the way he can't and he got married so unique how about this who's gonna bring the

  • 2:09:29

Just Blaze and Kanye sound into the future how come we haven't seen that in

  • 2:09:35

the mainstream since they popped it off 10 years ago there's no more soulful

  • 2:09:45

there's there's no more go-to guy that you know is cut from that cloth with the sole sampling

  • 2:09:51

keep carrying traditional that [ __ ] that always used to be one before that was

  • 2:09:57

premiered Pete Rock we haven't had a stream as much but yo premier used to

  • 2:10:05

have a wine weightless yeah no doubt I'm not discrediting their workload or

  • 2:10:10

popularity but they were yeah they didn't get the singles right yeah

  • 2:10:16

exactly look at street single I got the street single yes but I still think that's missing though we we need doubt

  • 2:10:23

that will balance the [ __ ] that we're hearing right now well who's heating up the playlist now call the baby's on fire

  • 2:10:37

whoa nah I like so yeah these dudes is

  • 2:10:45

sexist now eight and not trying to listen to these girls and what they're talking about nowadays oh they're missing out screaming please records

  • 2:10:57

Karla you come to my pool party oh [ __ ] what's the date never mind any time

  • 2:11:06

[ __ ] what's the date you don't worry about it bro I'm pulling up pulling up no no Zane

  • 2:11:13

Lowe is coming now [ __ ] you I'm throwing that [ __ ] in the pool it's next week

  • 2:11:23

car I don't expect you to be there but just consider this your invite I bet forget it all right Thank You Carl

  • 2:11:29

appreciate my sake me sad bye boys later

  • 2:11:35

it doesn't mean it's over for good it's just yeah at this point that's not a formula that really particularly works

  • 2:11:42

yeah well [ __ ] moves in cycles I'm gonna [ __ ] it'll be back we have the missive

  • 2:11:48

Bobby Brown yeah yeah yeah cuz not for

  • 2:11:54

nothing it was people like : wale they were keeping that alive when Cole would do like his Miguel record every time

  • 2:11:59

like that was keeping that structure alive yeah and now I think about it Drake never really used that structure

  • 2:12:06

like that and you did it he did a few times easier he did he did a few time he's saying his owner you traded with

  • 2:12:13

janae he chased that's why he did it well I would say that Alicia Keys one was a single

  • 2:12:18

yeah decided beside leaks I'm done with Joe

  • 2:12:25

Roy Ayers needs to get an award just for that just for my life my life my life my

  • 2:12:32

life that's it he needs a lot of words actually where's fire Roy Ayers James Brown the [ __ ]

  • 2:12:39

that all nine million of us can sample

  • 2:12:45

not care like it just make a different song each time they need awards man honestly oh alright let's see we are now

  • 2:12:56

let me turn that down like I'm faded up hey verified hey yeah I'm giving these

  • 2:13:04
