- 5:15

- 5:21
have sin wearing air forces and J's I'm not with her I nevermind your viewership
- 5:27
that at the current moment you only want
- 5:32
okay I wouldn't call us in a sneakerhead
- 5:37
what would you call them cuz sin would much rather have one sneakers inhales I can tell you that um flat sandals those
- 5:46
little war boots that the girl made popular remember summer they all wore
- 5:57
those sandals that look like they were gladiators yes take down immediately I
- 6:06
used to take you down if you have to um where where where are we beginning he
- 6:12
said something else from the last podcast he wasn't oh oh oh uh finally got enhancer I think I finally got a I
- 6:19
finally got an answer to my arm B ad-lib question that I asked you gentlemen last week um Frank Ocean just know and nobody
- 6:30
want to talk about them the Frank Ocean leaks that was coming and didn't come did they come I didn't hear any Frank
- 6:36
Ocean leaks I didn't either see when you get like a mystique about you everything you do
- 6:41
like falls under the mystique yes great it's part of the role of heaven [ __ ] [ __ ] be bought a club and only
- 6:46
parties there's like wow he's so mysterious like yeah his club though
- 6:52
yeah it's true um no no aren't great aren't greatest R&B ad-lib I said Casey
- 6:59
from Jodeci and I wanted to know who was two three and four on that list and we have some answers the people chime back
- 7:05
and they said uh thanks people they said uh Cisco's yeah okay
- 7:10
all right that's that's a good one they said uh Charlie Wilson's shoe biddy
- 7:18
biddy biddy biddy that considering an ad lib it's yeah okay he's done it on
- 7:25
everybody song that's true um and both and it was a Ron Isley one I can't hit
- 7:35
it no more I know it no more right used to be in the bag listen we can joke on
- 7:41
me or I can ask you guys about your greatest battle with impotence that's really exactly you can use that in a
- 7:59
sentence what's the origin of the word
- 8:06
renounce it we're not starting with impotence come on let's get to the [ __ ] man these artists need us these artists
- 8:12
need us they're getting robbed for every penny they have new artists same story yeah if you have yet to hear by now
- 8:19
Magda stallion pardon me mega stallion went on insta live and told us about her
- 8:26
contract situation with 1501 and Paul Crawford she didn't name him
- 8:31
specifically but that is who her paperwork is with and she just spoke about some legal battles that she's
- 8:37
having she said that they will not allow her to release music um and she had music scheduled to be released um and
- 8:44
she went Josh she went to court she got a temporary restraining order which permits her to release whatever she had
- 8:51
planned for this week um and we'll see where this goes but since the details about this contract have been
- 8:56
coming out I think according to TMZ it was a 60/40 split in favor of the
- 9:06
company um on profits on profit share
- 9:11
she's responsible for recording and so forth and so on
- 9:16
yeah so all recording budget and expenses comes out of her 40 on that profit split uh what else did they say
- 9:23
is egregious about this contract uh fifty percent of our publishing which to some degree is yeah that's what's gonna
- 9:29
happen thirty percent of hurt or income that's a little high as far as standards go but not crazy 30% of our merch also a little
- 9:38
higher than usual but not nuts that the 60/40 split is really the craziest part
- 9:43
of this entire contract now before we continue Maul tell us how call Crawford
- 9:48
should give Meg the stallion all of her money back because it's the right thing to do and how could he sleep at night
- 9:54
I'm not saying he needs to give all the money back but I mean that can tell us about how he should rip that contract up
- 10:00
and do the right thing no I mean that contract is nuts though that's not a contract standard I wouldn't say
- 10:07
standard well part of the part of the lawsuit that Megan's going in with her lawyer that this is above standard
- 10:13
practices it's not it is it's not this
- 10:19
is not a standard contract that is a sign under production with a car let's say with our Egyptian company that is
- 10:25
then signed to another label just now a 60-40 thing you could definitely bargain
- 10:32
with you Maul some of the splits are higher yeah like 60/40 you pay for
- 10:38
everything that's just take my 60 that's that's higher yeah what else well okay
- 10:45
response to that is it's not higher by much the 50-50 pub split that stand in
- 10:51
it um the 30% of your touring or whatever that's high but it's not far
- 10:57
from standard in production company contracts and I think that's where this
- 11:03
conversation always gets convoluted when you start to have it with fans or people who are not in the Mew
- 11:08
music business because standard sounds nuts yeah yes the we can't think of a reason
- 11:17
while knowledgeable made this standard that somebody would would would run to
- 11:22
this or want this or apply this to their careers I can't tell you maybe I don't know and that's the problem when I came
- 11:28
in exactly what still operates I'd to a similar old standard you know I was signed to production company yeah mostly
- 11:34
numbers similar ish yeah this is two decades ago yeah the numbers were in
- 11:40
this ballpark yeah but that's what I'm saying this is this this needs to change this is an old standard and the way you
- 11:47
sell music the way you make music and make money has changed over the years so how come contracts are considered still
- 11:55
standard if the hope the game has changed basically that's like an athlete getting a standard contract from the
- 12:01
[ __ ] 20s that baseball players will get in and it's 2020 and I'm still on a
- 12:06
standard contract this doesn't make sense if the game changes and the money that's in the game changes and the way we make
- 12:12
our money changes and the way people receive music and the way you count music sales and all these other things
- 12:17
change how come contracts are still standard like that's tough that's valid that's
- 12:24
the problem while we still operate on that old system when the entire game has
- 12:29
changed well most artists come in most artists come in without any knowledge or
- 12:35
leverage so let's start the earth and most of them come in wanting the major
- 12:41
label machine the major label Association the foundation and these are
- 12:48
not major label contracts that we're talking about by the way you know no no no that's decent this is not a major
- 12:54
label recording contract that we're talking about this is with a I don't
- 12:59
know how you started it but it looks like a production company which then he takes and I know if this is the case to
- 13:06
300 and his deal is with 300 Meg just happens to be part of 50 what is it 50
- 13:11
no one part of 50 no one so yes she's part of 300 but through 1501 right so a
- 13:19
bunch of people have to eat before she even see any of the money from her music because she then has to pay 300 and had
- 13:25
to pay the production company that she assigned - yeah which was my thing mall when we were discussing puffins mace we
- 13:34
can't put every artist in the same boat oh but me provided paper where he
- 13:40
doesn't get any of Fabio's publishing oh good for me I saw that yeah good for me
- 13:45
but normally good for Fabio Fabio no but
- 13:52
good for me it's for paying it forward yeah absolutely um normally the route that you want your career to go is gonna tell me a lot
- 13:58
about how your business how you want your business to be conducted as well normally the people that are independent
- 14:05
and choose to stay independent they're ready for the longer road they're ready
- 14:11
to not get to push that the majors have to offer um they're just ready to take shortcuts on some things and longer cuts
- 14:19
on some once you're trying to get into them to get to a major we know that game so when you say the game has changed so
- 14:26
much no outside of the the business it has
- 14:31
because now we have the ability to get our own leverage see when I signed this deal in 2000 2000 probably was not it
- 14:41
was it was a lot harder to probably get my own leverage and go up there and tell Kevin Laos and Leah Cohen that hey this
- 14:47
is what I want or I'm not taking it that's not a position that we're normally in is new artists and and I
- 14:52
want to speak to that point - with the production companies thing because I think a lot of people don't know that really is a difference between signing
- 14:59
directly to the label and signing with a production company why so many artists especially in hip-hop go through
- 15:06
production companies is because they have no leverage or no notoriety at all
- 15:11
so backing money a label will go to someone that's been in this industry for quite some time and be like I trust your
- 15:17
opinion you've broken artists you have a lot of tangible things I've seen you do in this in this game so I'll give you a
- 15:25
production deal or some type of joint venture and you can sign artists to you and I will be the parent company so
- 15:32
that's why the major labels aren't in you know at that when he was out there actually out in the street trying to find artists and
- 15:38
now I guess you could say on line let me let me add to your point a and we could take this out of music that's all across
- 15:45
the board with how with why companies and corporations would prefer to deal
- 15:51
with a production house yeah versus a singular person or artists that's then
- 15:57
that's in television that's in movies entertainment yeah it's like I have it's
- 16:04
a relationship I have I have a script that a that Warner's owns I'm gonna hire
- 16:09
a production company that I know just did a movie that was successful yeah now we're gonna bust this down and split
- 16:15
this up and we're gonna give the actors a feat yeah so it's it's the same thing and even it's as [ __ ] up as it is in
- 16:22
music probably more [ __ ] up but that's just kind of corporations in general like if you work in client services at
- 16:28
an ad agency and your job is solely to meet with clients and bring in income you get paid if you're lucky a hundred
- 16:36
grand a year your accounts could be in the 50 millions it doesn't change your salary right like it's not just music
- 16:43
does it real [ __ ] up but it's corporations and capitalism completely it's not just just within music just my
- 16:53
only point no great point word uh but yeah that's that's why Twitter canceled
- 16:59
me on on Sunday just because I thought it was hilarious and I never mind people
- 17:06
sharing opinions that's why I enjoy Twitter but the arrogance they had towards Meg was just hilarious to me
- 17:13
that what a rudimentary answer to yo your contracts [ __ ] up
- 17:18
ou should have got a lawyer now simple and stupid you sound like every single
- 17:24
lawyer reasons you don't you shouldn't talk music on Twitter ya know at all business stuff cuz ya to watch Cox and
- 17:32
think they know to think that every lawyer ever is the same and understands music contracts even as an entertainment
- 17:39
lawyer is far-fetched yeah and to think that someone at a young age with no
- 17:45
connections or music business experience or anyone in lives involved with that can find a
- 17:51
lawyer of course Lords do pro bono [ __ ] but to just be able to find one that is up to
- 17:57
date with how these labels move and their their law firm within their actual
- 18:04
company it's hilarious to me to think that that is something you think is the easiest thing ever to do I want to dispel some of these things
- 18:10
twitter twitter music execs even if we read the contract it would change
- 18:16
nothing gonna be my next point yeah the fact that you also think that these record contracts are set in stone
- 18:24
like oh my lawyer looked at it we like this we like this set in stone no matter what it's purposely vague there's hidden
- 18:31
clauses there's terminations in there that are an opinion contracts are not black and
- 18:37
white it's not yes or no the devil you can the devil is in the details you can argue something that is legally binded
- 18:43
it's got a great area contracts are not as black and white as you guys think they are well that's step one step one
- 18:49
step one when we're talking about contracts you want to get a lawyer
- 18:54
because lawyers have their own language and that language is the language that
- 19:00
needs to be understood and even once you pass that like Rory said lawyers leave
- 19:05
the gray area they leave the broad interpretation for for argument purposes
- 19:12
so it's it's twofold so I want to dispel some of these things I do I don't wanna
- 19:20
kill Magda stallion I see a lot of people saying ah he was in college what
- 19:27
does that mean you could have a law degree yes your mom managing you like
- 19:33
all of them like I used to ask myself that a lot like damn I wonder what would happen if I woulda took my contract and
- 19:38
involved my mom maybe nothing my mom don't know [ __ ] neither about that she'll no entertainment lawyer oh that's
- 19:45
the next thing you want to get to yeah just because you have someone that personally cares about you so much in your circle doesn't necessarily mean
- 19:52
you're protected it just means someone cares about you actually before we get to this stuff we should play this clip we should play
- 19:59
this clip for the people that did not have a chance to hear make the stallion going in on his well
- 20:05
something to be said from being from a Houston is a long history of great music but it is not a primary hub of probably
- 20:12
entertainment lawyers so she went from a pretty local artist signing to a local production company to a huge global
- 20:18
smash successful artist hmm and that's a big thing too mmm you know yeah the deal
- 20:24
she made in Houston might've made sense in Houston you know for a small 2019-20
- 20:29
whatever she was at the time it might have made sense there didn't they know that she was gonna you know it's gonna be a global thing you know probably not
- 20:37
at the time yeah and I mean not to say I don't know what 1501 did for her as far
- 20:43
as her come up cane I mean I kind of saw it when everyone else did yeah so I don't know too much about
- 20:49
whether she did this on our own and 1501 is now just reaping all the benefits of
- 20:54
happening to lock her into a contract at a young naive age but I'm not gonna kill
- 20:59
Meg like yeah I don't even know what's in your [ __ ] I'm not killing Meg or or
- 21:05
call Carl yeah I'm not killing either one Carl Crawford is unable to state his position
- 21:11
because of the court findings the temporary restraining order he is not allowed to speak about this via social
- 21:18
media so we won't hear from him but I know when I went back to the people that
- 21:23
I thought to be cool with and in business with and said the same thing
- 21:29
that Meg said here which is hey I went back to call and say hey there's some [ __ ] that's wrong in here and we need to make make amendments it was like well
- 21:36
why would we why would we amend that like we've invested in you right things
- 21:43
that you can't even put a price next to the things that we've invested in you yeah well I don't again that's why I was
- 21:49
saying I don't know that to be true because I just don't have enough information that's why I'm not killing Carl cuz I just don't know but but what
- 21:56
we judging by that the recording contract specifically that's 6040 and
- 22:03
now I'm in charge of all of those recording fees and you're not giving me an advance prior yeah I don't know I may
- 22:11
have some questions for Carl of course you would have no no I'm saying on a real tip of not standard
- 22:19
practices or or no to your point of saying we invested this much into you
- 22:24
I'm not well there's something going around and saying Magda stallion received $15,000 out of a seven million
- 22:32
dollar profit yes hoes I don't know that to be true so I won't comment on it but what I will say is I'm not amending any
- 22:40
contract before your debut album is out yeah and that is and that's the
- 22:45
difference between some of the artists today and some of the artists back in the day back in the day that was the
- 22:52
that was the Golden Gate of the industry you got to get [ __ ] is it gonna be with Vaseline or without so our hope is
- 22:59
to get in get [ __ ] but be so successful because we got to believe in
- 23:04
ourselves that they'll have no choice but to want to amend things I want to
- 23:10
keep this business relationship going why does it seem like it only happens in our culture well no that's not true we
- 23:17
just saw Taylor Swift we just saw outside of hip-hop
- 23:23
this happens now we're probably the most vocal about it yeah boy I think it
- 23:28
happens to most this is all this is no this is the music industry and I mean it
- 23:34
pains it pains me to say that but there's not many people running around that's looking to do fair business with
- 23:41
anybody that's the problem well I agree but listen if you know if
- 23:48
you're not bold enough to stand stand on your own and believe in your talent and thug it out and take the long route not
- 23:55
be backed not have support try to find a way on your own you're not willing to do some of those things then you're gonna
- 24:02
lose a piece of your pie and you have to always look at this as a pie to Rory's
- 24:07
point earlier she's [ __ ] with 1501 before we even we haven't even taken you
- 24:13
anywhere yet in Houston you [ __ ] mm-hmm now we'll take you to
- 24:19
keV let's see how it goes now we'll take you to 300 see how it goes
- 24:24
now throwing the Commission's what the pyre you left with this is what Russ
- 24:30
talks about anytime you put a microphone in front of them yeah so my thing is at what point are we gonna start putting
- 24:37
some type of onus or accountability on the artist for being aware of what you
- 24:43
sign we've heard that's definite we've heard we've heard it too much though now mostly this is different this is not
- 24:48
2000 2001 when we didn't know we know now we are clear see I don't know how
- 24:56
fair that is either I saw a lot of people saying that we've seen this happen countless times I can't say that the
- 25:03
person that has only been focused on making music at such a young age has paid attention to everything you paid
- 25:10
attention to since 2000 especially when you were living in it you wouldn't have you wouldn't have to pay attention to
- 25:15
everything Joe pays attention to you would just be having to have paid attention to anything I'm saying the
- 25:20
differences between 2000 and now are the numerous outlets that are in favor of
- 25:27
the artists preaching on behalf of the artists regardless of what you think of Steve Stoute and what he's doing on and
- 25:32
what he's done in the past United masters speaks on that a lot of these labels and the changing of the
- 25:37
deals that they're doing once contracts up it speaks to that the publishing companies honoring [ __ ] EPS now
- 25:43
there's so many things going on that speak to changes we to Mars point about
- 25:48
the game having changed for sure for so you in [ __ ] in 2017 Sam yes I feel for
- 25:56
you and yes I'm in support of you but some of it is you of course and I'm not
- 26:03
making any and this is not juice hold up but this is not just meg I'm approaching it this way because every other month
- 26:10
not only does the artist come out and say I was unaware but they proudly say
- 26:17
it almost they say they say it casually we just heard Blueface say this yeah I
- 26:24
have no idea was in my [ __ ] when I was pressing Yanni that was what he was giving me then I don't know what's in
- 26:31
here yeah now I just know I just know I'm making money all you got to do or you what you all but you got to do is is
- 26:36
thank your prey to your lucky heavens that you are signed to somebody there
- 26:42
doing somewhere in the ballpark of the right thing that at least can keep the business coming in or at least can act
- 26:49
can bring value to your project which was my entire argument with wit puffs and mace hey some [ __ ] up [ __ ] might
- 26:55
happen there but if there's one [ __ ] you can bet on that's bringing value to your [ __ ] its puffs but I'm not going
- 27:03
back in the matter now um we just saw this with cash dawg where she couldn't release music for however many years
- 27:09
because she had entered some [ __ ] with her man / manager at the time and
- 27:16
whatever happened happened there listen if you could how you come in the game and I'm talking to fans now cuz y'all
- 27:22
just listening to music and [ __ ] dancing and while y'all are dancing real
- 27:30
[ __ ] is happening out there how you come in the game is very important most of
- 27:35
these artists are not in control of them they move to the beat of whatever
- 27:43
someone else says most of us artists have to go through the rigmarole to find
- 27:50
out how important we preach and ownership and ownership and ownership know what tags along with ownership that
- 27:55
never gets talked about control we just saw Juicy J beefing about beefing with
- 28:00
Columbia yeah he won't tell us what they beefing about but guess what do you know who the [ __ ] Juicy J is do you know what
- 28:07
he's contributed do you know how much [ __ ] business he's brought to that building
- 28:12
why is he ever in a position that he can't release music when he says one of
- 28:19
the best producers we have today he's probably writing records he's throwing hits to anybody who asked for it it's no
- 28:25
control it's no control this is a common thing I just don't want to kill Meg I
- 28:31
don't want to kill Carl I don't want to kill any of the artists that are in this situation because it's all of us we're
- 28:37
less different than we are alike but you have to start being cognizant oh oh yeah
- 28:43
let me help try to dispel some of some of the other things well let's play the clip okay what was in my contract
- 28:51
I was young I was like 24 hands was this positive before we even get into we saw
- 29:00
Ozzy go through this mm-hmm would trauma right this oh yeah this is all recent
- 29:05
stuff yeah yeah before we even get into what she's saying I'll just say this so y'all could sit on it even wit pause yes
- 29:14
word well even with the luxury of technology where meg is able to go to
- 29:22
her fans and rally for public support I have a theory I know about a hundred
- 29:31
[ __ ] that would love to do the same thing nobody won't cuz they signed to a
- 29:36
[ __ ] that will shoot they hand off their shoulders like even this is a luxury to be a woman a woman and come
- 29:45
out and say hey because of their Street intimidation tactics they think they
- 29:51
will X Y a if she was not a girl how do y'all think this would play hey I know I
- 30:00
know we may have supposed to talk about no I think it's a fair point the ledge
- 30:05
by yourself on them you know that's a fair point it's real [ __ ] alright come on let's play this I know everything
- 30:12
that was in that contrary so when I got with Roc Nation I got a management real management I got
- 30:20
real lawyers and they was like do you know that this is
- 30:26
in your contract and I was like oh damn that's crazy no I didn't know so I'm not
- 30:32
bad if it's you know when I wasn't upset cuz I'm thinking my hair oh whoa everybody cool we all family as cool as
- 30:39
nice that was that was that was that uh news flash out there cuz I don't want to
- 30:45
use this I want to use this as a teachable moment and not a time not a time to attack Meg even though y'all are
- 30:52
pulling up her old tweets about finessing [ __ ] and if you getting scammed by [ __ ] and you a weak [ __ ]
- 31:00
called [ __ ] scrubs and was getting robbed they got a bum ass truck the game
- 31:09
was the game um let me dispel some of this stuff as she preaches it nobody's your friend
- 31:15
nobody is your friend even if they're friendly even if they're supportive even
- 31:23
if they appear to have your back or they appear to be in your best interest I use the word friend I don't use it loosely
- 31:30
at all I have maybe 10 and I have to say
- 31:36
that because this is a real easy way the music industry is predatory and part of
- 31:41
being predatory is the art of allure how
- 31:46
do we how do we how do we allow you how do we get close to you how do we make you comfortable how do we incentivize you without getting you hip to what's
- 31:53
going on nobody is your friend one two and your old friend will take a piece of your splits in business yeah everybody
- 32:00
thinks they're family when everyone thinks they're making money and I think
- 32:05
I mean the money you deserve well everyone everyone's family when [ __ ] is great and when the perception is we're all getting money in an even way
- 32:13
everyone thinks that they're deserving of more and they might be or they might not be you know it's it's subjective and
- 32:19
it's negotiable it's what you can negotiate yeah honestly and unfortunately yeah oh oh go ahead we
- 32:27
just asked them [ __ ] to renegotiate my contract
- 32:33
food as I said I want to renegotiate my contract everything with ya
- 32:39
mangas tonight meg the stallion how else
- 32:44
was that supposed to go this is why I was I was just going crazy about malls
- 32:49
take about just doing the right thing but back in the day when we had that conversation why would Carl Crawford do
- 32:56
that because you approached him and said hey there are some things wrong here not
- 33:03
to him if he would if he would do that now he would it did that that and he
- 33:09
might not see any problem with any of the numbers that he that they agree to well again we've yet to hear his side so
- 33:16
he might have a mad valid reasons as to why these numbers are these numbers I
- 33:22
would like to hear those though same I really would it's a shame and be clear there's some
- 33:28
explaining we're gonna have no matter how standard this is there's still some explaining to be head-on on deserve
- 33:34
I'm not talk about what's a contract let me jump in no they let me get rid of
- 33:39
your false sense of entitlement no there's not I don't have to explain anything oh no I can never speak to beg
- 33:47
again where do I say that I'm saying I just you said I'm supposed to be I'm just curious yeah but but be clear he
- 33:53
Carl Crawford does not have to answer a [ __ ] thing here of course he doesn't that would be a courtesy yeah why but
- 34:01
why do you fly he he doesn't have to answer an artist that he's son if she has questions if they want to continue do business yeah he should he might have
- 34:10
her business for the next however many albums yeah but that's what that's why he may need it he may need to talk to
- 34:16
well if he well if that's how he's feeling that that day if he's feeling like being that type of executive you
- 34:22
don't have to be I couldn't have you your signature on this paper and never speak to you everybody you go talk to
- 34:29
has to come talk to me no matter what we can beef you can't do [ __ ] that's why
- 34:36
I'm saying that and while that's signed entitlement to to what you were saying that's not a great way for to proceed
- 34:44
with longevity in the business that cuz meg is going to be worth a lot of money
- 34:50
she's already worth loan money I know and she is at the path now of course we've seen wrong this happened before
- 34:55
and artists not get there but as of right now yes I would look at meg this alley and say I would like to continue to do business with her and her being
- 35:02
happy cuz we'll make more money that way you know it's funny if you tell her [ __ ] off I own you fee and s 3 albums think
- 35:08
Megan's gonna rush to give you a good album I think that makes should continue her search I think that she needs to
- 35:13
continue looking because most times as an artist you just in la-la land cuz you
- 35:18
getting money you never got before and once you notice one thing wrong and that one thing is really wrong it's a wake up
- 35:26
call and then you start sniffing around and then you say oh look buddy there's a
- 35:32
lot of [ __ ] wrong I'm not sure that Carl Crawford is the only one robbing you
- 35:37
fella and I mean me I'm experienced here so I could always kind of look at
- 35:43
somebody and tell ya they probably don't know they can rock there's a lot of hands in the in the pot family trey
- 35:51
songz was popping up everywhere I said something's off you oh I did it spoke to
- 35:58
something ya have to make your money elsewhere because someone else has a hold on your music profits many people
- 36:06
not just one also on that if you're a new artist you don't wanna you don't you do not want I'm just trying to spell
- 36:11
some things because this is a common thing you don't you do not want to share attorneys with anyone no god no that's
- 36:18
very important but people keep keep doing it so I want to address it well in her case a lot of artists go in and
- 36:25
think or family and think we're friends and think that your lawyers are my lawyers and a lot of artists don't want
- 36:30
to pay lawyers or pay managers or pay publicist or pay anybody that's true
- 36:36
there's that part too I'm not saying that I'm not saying that about Meg I'm just broadening this no absolutely
- 36:42
broadening it yeah we could take it off of the other thing about this mall where you say the game is is you know the game
- 36:48
has changed so you know that's why it's hard for me to empathize sometimes when we were getting [ __ ] last decade the
- 36:58
standard was five albums yeah yeah three with
- 37:06
some options sometimes five with some options so getting [ __ ] was the
- 37:12
lifetime of your career and remember this is at a time where you lucky to get
- 37:17
an album out every year wasn't Wayne [ __ ] 20 albums or some absurd Wayne's contract it was nothing it was nuts
- 37:24
listen we don't we don't know the details of the future Rock oh [ __ ] was that rock oh yes
- 37:29
that was rock oh right that was settled oh it was settled because future is a
- 37:35
[ __ ] god that's why that's why I was settled look at what you have to go to
- 37:40
and there was settled after several albums like they didn't settle that it
- 37:45
wasn't quick there no but it wasn't just future alone future had the supporters
- 37:50
labeled trust me that was a label what now whatever happened with whatever we don't know happened with [ __ ] Damon
- 37:58
Lee or and whole is the same thing that happened there the label was in support
- 38:04
they wanted future we don't get this other [ __ ] the [ __ ] whatever I won't speak on it but same [ __ ] um damn Oh
- 38:12
today more artists out there artists and people aspiring to be artists forget
- 38:19
about being jerk you never you want to make your deal as short as possible no
- 38:25
matter what hey you could be with somebody you love the business they
- 38:30
doing guess what you want to maintain the ability to renegotiate soup true but
- 38:37
a lot of our year a lot of artists scene there's no years if I do the three-album deal and I see the five album deal
- 38:42
because usually get presented with both that advance looks a little more sexy on just live here and you broke so that's
- 38:49
why artists take it it's short-sighted but again I have empathy and understanding for someone in maybe that
- 38:55
situation but you should not take that just cuz it looks better that five year apart in five years five albums [ __ ]
- 39:01
will [ __ ] your life up I never understood why people when they negotiate they always said well I was broke and I needed money he was always
- 39:09
broke it doesn't matter like Bogut's I got to tell you when I was
- 39:15
yeah but nineteen twenty and somebody said check this out we're gonna purchase the studio equipment and give you ten
- 39:22
thousand in your pocket I was think I couldn't sign that contract fast enough yeah but that's what I'm saying a lot of
- 39:29
people negotiate from that standpoint that they're broke and they just want money right now my thing is we been
- 39:34
broke your entire life but there's another year of being broke production companies kind of strive on in target
- 39:42
like I know I can get way more out of this artist because they need the fifteen grand they need the 50 grand
- 39:48
right now and I got that I'm chillin 50 grand to me is nothing I know my own way more once you pop [ __ ] that if you bro
- 39:56
have you been broke your entire life it's okay you made it this far you'll be fine I feel you but situation that's
- 40:13
it's true more but a lot of times a lot of times in the music business you have
- 40:19
to situation your way to your next to your next situation yeah that's all this game is about which is why I always
- 40:25
bring up that longevity conversation that I hip-hop we just don't give credit to longevity the way any other genre
- 40:32
does I don't just say it with music the fact that you've made it this far in this business this long is something to
- 40:38
say yeah your music could suck but if you still putting [ __ ] out and making a living 15 years into your career I
- 40:45
applaud you I think that's [ __ ] insane absolutely mad bad contracts in
- 40:50
my career even if by way of the first one cuz if you give up all your rights to the production company they've got
- 40:56
the 50% 50% in the pub now they're in charge of going get a pub deal like it just ruins you for four years four years
- 41:03
to come I really feel for Megan I hope that everything works out where I'm happy that she got our temporary restraining
- 41:09
order yeah um I'm happy that she has some some really brilliant people in her corner to be able to navigate her help
- 41:16
navigate her through this yeah um a lot of people in that rock building have been through this with Rockefeller know
- 41:24
that ends now it's better on both sides yeah so yes she definitely has a good team I
- 41:29
thank God that she has enough of a buzz to have some real brilliant people in
- 41:35
her corner yeah cuz a lot of people don't know and the work ethic like she's
- 41:42
going out there and doing shows I feel like I see a show every single night so every not everyone is afforded that
- 41:49
opportunity you might be in a bad deal and at home not generating any income whatsoever yeah it is not able to put
- 41:56
anything out because you're stuck in that contract right well what can wor perform what can what else what more is
- 42:02
it is there that we can say that will give an artist some more tools and
- 42:08
information to help them navigate so they so they can avoid this um as far as
- 42:15
the lawyer thing go and as I said it's tough to find a lawyer but the way you
- 42:21
shop for deals you should shop for lawyers and every single conch as much
- 42:26
as we say standard every single contract is different yeah so you need to tell your lawyer exactly what you want and
- 42:33
they can kind of guide you through what's realistic and what's not again this is after you shop around because
- 42:40
lawyers will meet for the first session for free but yeah but put together a
- 42:45
contract that is in a perfect world for you with some reality in there too but I
- 42:51
really think that's very difficult to if you know experience if you don't know what you want well that was kind of my
- 42:57
point before yeah a lawyer thing but finding that lawyer that's why I tell I
- 43:02
tell new artists I tell my son I tell I tell people don't don't be ashamed of holding your rights yeah that's that's
- 43:10
why I'm saying going in every contract is different so go in with what you want it's you'll probably get a no but at
- 43:17
least we'll have a standard of where we are with things Hey and take the know yeah take take the know Brian for a few
- 43:24
more years speak to a few more people you don't have to live this way you
- 43:30
don't have to go about it just just just in it's like man I want to pray for all
- 43:35
the artists at any situations mission is matter y'all it's most I'm not sure if there's a centralized
- 43:41
like hub for people to find entertainment lawyers that are reliable and experienced but there should be so
- 43:47
maybe that's something that we could try to put in motion yeah at least verbally for some it would be nice if there was
- 43:54
some veteran lawyers out there that we're willing to at least form some sort of coalition where people could get
- 43:59
information or even that's how to get a lawyer that is good there's a lane for
- 44:05
that yeah and I think production companies I know it kind of sounded like
- 44:11
we was really [ __ ] on production companies figure out what you really
- 44:16
think they can do for you because there are production companies that absolutely can help you if your visions are aligned
- 44:22
yeah like I don't think every production company is evil at all I think I mean
- 44:27
production companies are some of our favorite labels at the end of the day our production companies I know nothing
- 44:35
about Q C's business and of course we're going to the top as far as production companies go but the leverage you have when you have
- 44:41
a production company that will fight for your area is is something to say I would
- 44:47
in that instance I'd rather be signed to the production company then directly to the label I know you give up more when
- 44:53
you go to the production company but they will fight for you and push your [ __ ] much further than it may have gone by yourself or directly with the parent
- 45:00
company yeah so yeah if you want to [ __ ] with a production company figure out how
- 45:05
they could really help you and if they really [ __ ] with your music not just if they think you'll be profitable because
- 45:11
they're not gonna fight for it to say yeah that's true some do hem you and
- 45:16
Twitter said oh gosh now I got to hear jokes off for 30 minutes about Meg's contract well why do you think that I didn't plan on coming in here and
- 45:23
speaking about this for very long there's not that much information out there it's kind of hard none of us have seen any contracts we've only seen one
- 45:30
side of the argument as is often the case really bottom line don't sign [ __ ] if you're a new artist do dis you know
- 45:36
y'all um yeah that's I think now I think she don't know I think that's the best
- 45:43
option no matter what now more but it's way difficult it's gonna take way more time so if you cool with that he'll you
- 45:50
took your entire life to write your first album it's okay people didn't like their entire lives that's the deeper you don't
- 45:57
need to be thinking about music business if you don't like your life - no that's exactly why that's so some of the greatest we like culture if you want it
- 46:03
you want to make it you want to change you got to get right with yourselfers if you don't like yourself but you can't be
- 46:09
trying to artists have always hated themselves that's true but that's not
- 46:16
what I was saying that you hate yourself but most of us are impoverished most of
- 46:22
us do the first thing we say is I'm give my mom my dad that's the first thing we
- 46:27
saved like it's not they didn't like themselves how many people do you know I still impoverished my most couple now
- 46:33
most of the people I know yeah yeah let you know [ __ ] that's almost homeless
- 46:39
oh I'm sub then their eyes don't believe
- 46:48
that well how many people look like living check to check scraping checks
- 46:55
together oh no it's not what I'm saying I know people that people say like have no idea where it's coming from and they
- 47:01
are just spending money stupidly live you just work hard and don't you know I'm a lot of money I know man people cannot tell me where April's rent is
- 47:07
coming from today yeah I know a lot of people like that let alone to health insurance or anything else we didn't
- 47:12
even get into that yet but I know a lot of those he's most of America honestly
- 47:18
if most of the people I speak to in real life that celebrity industry friends let's just be clear that's it that's a
- 47:25
small if you make 300 grand you in the top 5% or at the top 3 percent or 1
- 47:31
percent of think if you make 100 world the top 1% yeah so I ping-pong that toss it back to you
- 47:38
how many people you notice not you might be different but yeah most of you I was
- 47:44
coming I don't know I know people that just get up and go to work every day and people that get to it every day now if
- 47:49
you know [ __ ] that just sitting around on the ass not doing [ __ ] I expect them [ __ ] to be broken [ __ ] up oh no I am
- 47:55
told my people to go to work though yeah well both my bums that don't do
- 48:00
nothing lazy and I also know people that get up every day to go to work and still live checks check and
- 48:06
wouldn't I know people in the music business like you know people in the music business like that and for the
- 48:13
record just to make this clear I wouldn't call living check to check almost homeless no but no no you see
- 48:20
what I'm saying um all right prep I'm praying for Meg absolutely Franny meg hope everything
- 48:27
works out we'll keep you posted praying for a good resolution for all parties yeah like that like lead never
- 48:34
happens but I do yeah oh I think that there will be some sort of resolution I
- 48:39
can't imagine someone gets completely [ __ ] out of the deal I think all the girls have been robbed I'm sure all of
- 48:46
them I'm sure that's my opinion and that's not just gender specific but they're a smaller
- 48:53
crew so that was the would be the definition of gender specific no I think
- 48:58
man [ __ ] getting robbed too but because the population of the women
- 49:03
rappers are much so much smaller yeah even in the music business in general in a lot I think I don't think
- 49:09
rap C's getting robbed well good for a Rhapsody
- 49:15
yeah I don't think she's only speaking to what I know I don't think rap getting robbed we've seen cash doll are we
- 49:22
adding in the dojo cats their organ robbed I wouldn't be shocked to be wrong
- 49:27
it's my opinion this is a very male centric business so would not be
- 49:33
suppressible if a lot of female artists had unfavorable contracts family cost a
- 49:38
lot to be artists as a woman as a woman the Astro like more than I do that's true and someone else to do
- 49:44
anything like to just to move yeah just to say yeah we're doing this event
- 49:50
tonight for this amount of money mm-hmm like the fact a Duke could wake up not even shower walk by himself with
- 49:57
a shitty mic and make 75 grand for two songs no [ __ ] gotta get that style is to
- 50:04
make up the answers in general women have an expensive existence yeah it's a
- 50:09
little low industry professionals or whatever I'll be feeling bad for the for
- 50:16
the rapper chicks that have to go through all that can all pay the stylist pay the makeup girl buy the clothes get the dancers
- 50:22
just for all the other chicks to say your makeups trashed her house like I
- 50:28
know she went through mad work like she was up for her 10:00 p.m. show she was
- 50:34
getting ready at [ __ ] 10:00 a.m. I
- 50:49
was like I wanna come on and talk about a common in Solange I have enough Oh
- 50:55
common in Solange did they were spotted together [Laughter]
- 51:18
[Music]
- 51:25
[ __ ] you [ __ ] man um all right and just that fast we have a reply from Carl Crawford about Meg the
- 51:32
stallion even though I thought we were off of mega stallion Carl Crawford in an interview with
- 51:37
billboard and I'm not certain how he's able able to do these interviews because
- 51:42
the temporary restraining order said that he's unable to speak about anything well ago we pulling maybe this was
- 51:47
really gotten information from one side yeah so Billboard says according to
- 51:54
Crawford wait no billboard says that Crawford says he denies any claims of him or his
- 52:01
1501 label trying to prevent Megan's output of music it's a whole life as Crawford nothing is true that she said
- 52:07
me being greedy and taking money from her that's crazy I never tried to take anything from her the only thing we ever
- 52:13
did was give give give the article continues it says according to Crawford
- 52:19
after Megan signs of rock nation in September she went radio silent opting
- 52:24
not to pay him or 15:01 any of the money she owed that makes that make sense
- 52:29
and it makes sense that he wouldn't stop music cuz why would you stop he was I'm getting cities which never stop music and that's why that just sounded
- 52:37
peculiar yeah Carl Crawford goes on she
- 52:43
went radio silent opting to not pay him or 15:01 any money she owed in Crawford's eyes the hydro summer MCS
- 52:49
tactics were to avoid paying him for merchandise and live touring proceeds owed to him through the terms of their
- 52:54
deal so that so that he would renegotiate her for album deal contract that she initially signed with 1501
- 53:01
Megan also signed a separate distribution deal with 300 entertainment in 2019 you guys has thoughts on this
- 53:09
before I continue to read again I'm not surprised uh I'm curious is her manager
- 53:15
cuz of course she signed a rock nation but there's typically a day-to-day manager some when I was there prior would that be the person here holding
- 53:22
the money cuz I would imagine that money would funnel through 50 you know one you'll find that a little
- 53:30
odd that she wasn't paying it like she was holding that money so many somebody
- 53:36
cooks like well this boy will listen to this this is all assumption based this
- 53:41
is freestyling yeah yeah mega cyan't or cyan't with Roc Nation Rock nation has a
- 53:48
deal with Live Nation and Live Nation has venues everywhere so if there were a
- 53:55
way for you to go do your shows and get your money and not pay the person that
- 54:01
you are any deal with this is that scenario yeah where Rock now takes over
- 54:07
and you're gonna take our percentage because here's the Carl is no longer
- 54:12
dealing with mega stallion he's dealing with Roc Nation I'm assuming you would think yeah yes and
- 54:19
and 300 distribution deal with 300 that they're suggesting billboard here he
- 54:26
would deal with 300 as well but more everything that call Crawford is saying here was me playing devil's advocate to
- 54:32
you on your merit on your merit argument Crawford goes on let's let's talk about
- 54:38
your contract it's a great contract for a first timer seed stop right there that
- 54:43
is the other perspective yes when you get out of oh you're robbing me and I'm not getting
- 54:49
what I'm old the person that has the contract normally feels like no I did
- 54:54
you a solid oh yeah that's just natural for them to feel like that she just
- 55:00
might feel a different way that's all well you got to remember that when the contract was signed dailies theoretically she was not known right
- 55:07
and they had connections and whatever they brought to the table the only thing I didn't like from her - by the way her
- 55:12
saying Megna stallion has always been make the stallion i've always anything i got i
- 55:19
got it on my own I did it on my own I didn't need nobody I write my raps I make my songs then why'd you sign it hmm
- 55:27
business uh he goes on let's talk about your contract it's a great contract for a first-timer he offers what contract
- 55:34
gives parts of their masters and 40% royalties and all that kind of stuff
- 55:40
ask jay-z to pull one of his artists first contracts and let's compare it to what Megan got I guarantee they won't
- 55:47
ever show you that well they shouldn't show you that because that's good business jay-z should not be showing you any
- 55:53
contracts the Billboard spoke to Crawford about Megan's allegations why he thinks jay-z and rock nation are trying to stronghold his company and
- 55:59
what he hopes to gain back from its pending lawsuit and oh wait this is a
- 56:05
whole interview yeah there's a lot whoa whoa whoa your initial reaction with Megan going on Instagram live accusing
- 56:11
labor preventing her from dropping new music my initial reaction was and this is billboard if you haven't got a chance to read this my initial reaction was man
- 56:17
I can't believe this is serious she just has so many holes in her story and it's almost on some delusional type stuff the
- 56:24
bubble of Hollywood and her 8 million followers has really clouded her head because the stuff that she is saying is
- 56:30
not true it's a whole lot nothing is true that she said me being greedy and taking money for her that's crazy I
- 56:35
never tried to take anything from her all I did was give you give now she fell for the oldest trick in the industry the conquer and divide theme mmm gentlemen I
- 56:45
won't read this whole thing yeah there's no trick in the industry that's the
- 56:51
oldest trick in human existence see now when rock nation was able to help Susie
- 56:58
and I won't really dive into this because I'm a whole venture but when rock nation was able to help Susie that
- 57:06
to me was very understandable because Susie is more profitable and more
- 57:12
valuable than most of the artists that are out now he's proven it already with
- 57:19
with no album he approved it that's the type of streaming artist that Uzi is Uzi
- 57:26
was gonna get somebody to settle sort of like my future Rocco argument right Megan is not at the place in my opinion
- 57:36
she's the same place to see us no she's not she's got too much so she is not no she is not a far cry that is incorrect
- 57:43
what other pie time signal did hear besides uh all my friends are dead that's uh a few he's had a few and they
- 57:51
weren't just Latin it was like the highest streaming whose Ozias hired in right now
- 57:58
category than my mal and I don't even think it's close it's not close it's not
- 58:03
we don't talk about Lucy enough here because we're old but what Ozzy is doing out there there's
- 58:09
a reason that they put a boot on his they put a boot on his cullinan and then he parked his Bugatti or some [ __ ] in
- 58:16
the same spot like there's a reason that he's playing the way he played there's a reason that he and starlets every night just children there's a reason for it he
- 58:25
is way more successful than most of the artists that are out he is he is has put
- 58:32
himself and worked himself into a position where it will all for me to not be angry everybody involved yeah it
- 58:40
helps y'all if I'm happy that's what I'd be telling me cuz I'm a be in deals with whatever Oh meg is not there yet
- 58:47
she's not there yet well on her way but I'm not reading ending anything if I'm
- 58:54
call Crawford right now okay you said it before tonight the Kree give me album
- 58:59
and he's saying he got a four album deal get us so give me two albums and then
- 59:08
approached me about about redoing some [ __ ] but no you can't just go get with every you were in Houston and I'm not
- 59:15
speaking from my POV you were in Houston like all of us were in our respective cities saying damn how the [ __ ] do I get
- 59:21
the [ __ ] out of him pop and call Crawford was your way at that point you
- 59:27
can't go get with keV and hold and trey songz and all of these people and now
- 59:33
just totally forget about me in the contract you signed you can't you know I agree with that that's definitely not
- 59:39
how it should go that's not a solution to it at all but I think that um he
- 59:45
would be more inclined to amend this if there were some albums out I assume that's also an assumption reasonable and
- 59:52
I feel like if you know maybe she didn't approach it the way she did he's so on social media maybe if it didn't play out
- 59:58
like that like trying to maybe paint him in a certain light and have him looking
- 1:00:03
like you know he because from what he's saying and this is that he didn't even draw the contract he sent a tea Ferris call Crawford if
- 1:00:11
you're unfamiliar made all the money you could want to make in baseball he's not
- 1:00:17
like a baseball a big a retired baseball player that had our time and now he's
- 1:00:22
trying to take advantage of rappers mmm Carl Crawford has money and had money
- 1:00:29
he's always had money yeah I could see how that would be attractive to a new
- 1:00:36
artist yeah a name and you can't tell me that he didn't spend a dime now I'm not
- 1:00:41
saying that it's right I'm not saying that but on the artist side we gotta acknowledge you know when we
- 1:00:49
give up some of our pie and why we give up some of our pie it happened and if it
- 1:00:54
worked we acknowledge when it works yeah yeah yeah like it's one thing to like yeah
- 1:01:01
when I'm $2 [ __ ] myself but if I signed to a label and then I pop as a result of the label doing the work then turning
- 1:01:06
around and saying nah it's [ __ ] up [ __ ] up yeah you know work too no
- 1:01:13
other way around it yeah I want to just quickly skim in this interview I wanna read this whole thing yeah I do too I do
- 1:01:19
but yeah he's uh T Faris is the one our mom did the contract I'm new to the business I let this guy see Ferriss run
- 1:01:25
my whole business because I knew absolutely nothing about it zero so he wrote up your contract I didn't do it oh
- 1:01:32
damn yeah man I didn't know nothing
- 1:01:41
about this business like I'm new to the business that's basically what he's saying he was like but I had people in place to draw up contracts up to handle
- 1:01:48
Megan too but again that's my name oh I don't wanna use on the Instagram
- 1:01:56
video yeah not sure she didn't own any Samantha not in that video so again I think this back to that point of you
- 1:02:02
shouldn't do this on IG and in the public eye it feels like a lot of what he's responding to is the public not Meg
- 1:02:11
he can't say anything about Meg no no my point here is that it becomes so messy
- 1:02:16
and now we're going in circles with a bunch of people that don't even understand the music industry to begin with
- 1:02:21
like it's it's annoying and stupid and counterproductive like the fact that he's explaining who runs his business to
- 1:02:28
the world not to Meg cuz I'm sure Meg is aware of who's he Farris is if he didn't bring up I only say this cuz I did I
- 1:02:33
never heard Meg bring up cause name mmm so this is this is pointless like do
- 1:02:39
this [ __ ] behind closed doors but this is what I was just saying when you when you go on Instagram live now you make it
- 1:02:44
a public thing you bring your public opinion you bring a perspective from people that don't know anybody so it's
- 1:02:51
like this is how it's gonna play out now but I mean I think that it you know however it's gonna go let it be a lesson
- 1:02:58
to artists again like know what you're signing know what you want and if not
- 1:03:04
stay independent grind on your own stack your money however you can and and put it into your dreams and go about it that
- 1:03:11
way but playing [ __ ] out in the public she never be the the solution like keep
- 1:03:16
your business behind closed doors I agree he's dead he's going in on J and
- 1:03:22
rock y know that we wouldn't hear that that we didn't hear the end of of this yeah I figured that he would find a way
- 1:03:28
to make his feelings known I wonder where I forget where J Prince is gonna fall in all this cuz these
- 1:03:35
steps to keep quiet for the most part he gives you a G caption yeah I forget that
- 1:03:41
Carl was a baseball player - so he's accustomed to dealing with the depress
- 1:03:46
yeah so just hopefully you get supplied stealing with the press what music was
- 1:03:52
she trying to release Friday it's not an album I know I think there's music how
- 1:03:59
much means that you want to know man I'm off of this mall are you gonna give you a take I'm gonna give who we could edit
- 1:04:06
this but are you gonna give you a take that you said off mic cuz I thought it's interesting one what did I say is this a
- 1:04:12
rollup um it feels like it it feels like they're definitely try to use it as well
- 1:04:17
as a roll out for sure who's there who's out whoever's in charge of putting out the music I mean why wouldn't you tell
- 1:04:26
you this if Meg the stallion who's one of the more popular artists is saying I can't put my music out yo I finally got
- 1:04:32
a core case it's coming out Friday and that's all that lines yeah I mean it's
- 1:04:37
not the rollout but let's leverage this you use it use it this is not I don't think they all plan this isn't rollout
- 1:04:44
that's a nuts roll out what y'all accrue to not use it I think it's a great idea I think I mean other we're here ya know
- 1:04:50
now that I'm over here let's turn this moment into something okay profitable it is it is they roll
- 1:04:56
out so let me be clear what I'm saying mmm-hmm it is a roll out to rally public
- 1:05:01
support to combat her contractual
- 1:05:07
obligations so it is a roll out mm-hmm and I'm um I won't even I won't even
- 1:05:14
refute what y'all are saying maybe there is somebody somewhere that's saying hey we can start releasing music this way
- 1:05:22
mm-hmm maybe I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 99% of artists would not like to be in
- 1:05:30
this position to even have this as a rollout option well I would say I would
- 1:05:37
say a hundred now that it's here
- 1:05:42
use it listen man can we talk about something fun amen my arm our levels are
- 1:05:47
getting low a little lower rmr yeah first there was this and I'm
- 1:06:00
letting this rockers datum [ __ ] Oh what was she doing for an hour hmm back
- 1:06:09
then how was that that meanie expected her back soon yeah
- 1:06:25
eek raucous she was going for [ __ ]
- 1:06:32
hell now that's my bag - I'm looking out the window trace the rain drops down the window yeah come on with ya me where
- 1:06:39
your car at she just went to the grocery
- 1:06:44
shopping - definitely feels like a Wegmans are one big joints back - yeah grocery shop and definitely took a nice
- 1:06:49
seat I don't take that long y'all I've asked the chick begin our location or whatever that thing is that you can just
- 1:06:55
see what they're doing old it yeah you did know I've been privy to the location
- 1:07:01
share though who's never asked whatever I don't think I stuff moment maybe like a tan uber home or something like that Rory no
- 1:07:07
no man uber home I just keep I'm probably the one that sent the over so I can see I see we all are yeah I'm not
- 1:07:15
asking for you okay Chenal day I'm in the crew I just want to see oh she's at Bergdorf that's weird just check it in I
- 1:07:20
don't want that oh I guess for a safety
- 1:07:26
issue maybe maybe she's out with her friends a safety issue and you'd want to
- 1:07:31
be like I want to make sure you're right and yellow circle don't end up in Virginia oh my god wait a minute oh my
- 1:07:41

- 1:10:27

- 1:10:35

- 1:10:45
[Laughter]
- 1:10:57

- 1:11:02

- 1:11:22
to make you say I'm playing something
- 1:11:39
else now what's happening is that me Oh [ __ ] man [ __ ] in a rut of alright
- 1:11:48
cut this off after the bald [ __ ] go off that was his job in a group to go off during ad-libs and they said R&B songs
- 1:12:00
wasn't talking about love no more we have something that refutes that
- 1:12:23
come on survive you know the vibrations right now oh my
- 1:12:33

- 1:15:09

- 1:15:15
the greater song since Panda I played that song every fun rose about to kill
- 1:15:20

- 1:15:57

- 1:16:03
I'm such a peasant we all could have been rich they became hoes that scam is
- 1:16:11
mad hard man this I've lived those roms so this is a group called RM are which I
- 1:16:18
just learned was pronounced of rumor which makes it even better that's the hardest [ __ ] ever I love when she was
- 1:16:24
pronounced differently than its belt yeah and you love rumors yes this is some legendary [ __ ] right this is a
- 1:16:31
greatest [ __ ] I've ever this is like some legendary [ __ ] right that video is incredible a course head of a quartet of
- 1:16:38
six all with aks and harmonies yes one
- 1:16:44
shirtless ski masks they look young they sound good they're aiming the Glock it
- 1:16:51
me I might be next and [ __ ] the video the video dropped the other day [ __ ]
- 1:16:59
took over the timeline I know what was going on but it [ __ ] twelve I mean [ __ ]
- 1:17:05
you mg for taking it down so you [ __ ] up the work well now why did they oh because you said fam they catch one of
- 1:17:12
these on their home so I see using Stewart here they really do it guys we
- 1:17:18
have entered a whole new genre of music they catch one that's trap country for real 20 or 25 - good Wow yeah they just
- 1:17:25
need to throw some drums on it let's take a ride the next one I listen if they would have
- 1:17:31
if they would have sold to soul this and like did about a minute like that to break in and do some drums the clubhead
- 1:17:37
Club smash smash dreams and nightmares sorry yeah but I think they got a few
- 1:17:44
more T's in the talk that's no so new genres like um a new song we got a new
- 1:17:50
genre yeah that's the hard stuff what's the genre this country but it's trapped country R&B trap [ __ ] the cops
- 1:17:58
I'm asking - it's hard yeah I mean
- 1:18:03
listen I don't know who's the genius behind this but you have you have our
- 1:18:09
support facts and don't don't let little nas hop on something that's happening oh
- 1:18:16
that's tough don't let little nas get on this that's having Danny about steal Yahoo said I don't got paperwork 60/40
- 1:18:32
I don't want 60/40 with no they'll shoot me they about to shoot the girl - is be
- 1:18:40
about to shoot the scammer girl 17 no no
- 1:18:54
no listen I'm feeling it I'm feeling there's nothing for me to say about this
- 1:18:59
aside from this is great music and I can't wait to hear more no they do they
- 1:19:04
fighting each other in the video no they they tapped into something with this I don't know they was just [ __ ] around
- 1:19:10
joking but they definitely tapped into something like even visually this is
- 1:19:16
this is something I wonder if they knew no it's just shot really well yeah oh yeah all right cuz shot great I think
- 1:19:23
they could have been [ __ ] around when they was making the song but then when it was done and then but they took it serious this video was taken seriously he was on
- 1:19:29
now he was on like Dean's [ __ ] singing some Brad Paisley lyrics so I think that he is a country fan so I don't think he
- 1:19:35
was [ __ ] around when he made the song that's fire Wow mo Mike Dean is gonna
- 1:19:40
put some drums behind he's [ __ ] that's a fact drums on this just wreck it right here yeah I'll take the remixes do
- 1:19:46
probably replay all this listen to get clear no problem okay are they are they sign I don't know
- 1:19:52
it's Mike will bringing them somewhere you said that's the affiliation right Mike will I said Mike Dean Mike Deena that's all my buddy my getting my Dean
- 1:19:58
um I don't know if he's signed to them or what I just saw him in the studio it might being I'll have them somewhere
- 1:20:05
mm-hmm and I look forward to it man I look forward to hearing some more some more are aren't rumor some more rumor
- 1:20:11
music definitely take that young ma alright man re oh not to go back but
- 1:20:21
that that that contract conversation is part of the reason why I why I called
- 1:20:28
Drake or called Drake the golden shout because Drake is the half-a-percent like
- 1:20:36
nobody should look at him when it comes to modeling we shouldn't model after him
- 1:20:41
like there's nobody else that's gonna that's gonna that's gonna sign the
- 1:20:48
contracts he signed contract there's
- 1:20:56
nobody that's gonna sign the contracts that he signed and end in the position that he ended no he couldn't easily Bend
- 1:21:05
there's no one egg is going through right now Drake ago now but there's a Drake ago illusion and whatever you want is one
- 1:21:11
Drake can go to baby and get what everyone except this one thing that
- 1:21:17
Drake has that these other rappers don't you're Jewish you go he's white enough
- 1:21:23
wouldn't call it drink white I'm not doing it I'm not doing that well trick I'll do that to dress his window
- 1:21:29
I wouldn't do that I'm not me neither no listen I would I would put more of the fact that his uncles of SuperDuper
- 1:21:36
famous legendary musician and comprise give him some guidance in regards to finding the proper representation and
- 1:21:42
lawyers and all that sort of thing that's a huge thing that certainly helps
- 1:21:48
no that's Hugh that's greatly helps I'm not saying that doesn't help it helps
- 1:21:53
Drake is the one person who he's a cheat code he's like this [ __ ] was designed
- 1:21:59
like but that's that's the smoke and mirrors part and what the super town is a Chico the cheat code that's a fact
- 1:22:06
right super talented you know it's the same as them saying you know they used to say he's a [ __ ] and in the park
- 1:22:12
somewhere that's better than Michael Jordan he just didn't get that no I never look or shot the NBA doesn't miss
- 1:22:17
tell it like that [ __ ] if you didn't make it to the league's cuz you didn't do other things to get to the lead yeah but they didn't did not see you and
- 1:22:25
speak to your talent no talent other there's other things that goes to get into the league but Rick just has done
- 1:22:30
an amazing I'm not staying on trick right now so we don't actually we are most people but but my point with the Drake thing is Drake got equal or more
- 1:22:39
value from everywhere that it attempted to exploit him that's true he exploited
- 1:22:45
the more the talent in the entertainment business before
- 1:22:51
music - there's a lot of there's a lot of reasons what drink and this this coming from someone that was raised
- 1:22:56
Catholic I'm not just throwing that he signed with Young Money cash money
- 1:23:01
Universal had to deal with J Prince and his son all this [ __ ] and they went oh he's
- 1:23:06
Jewish and everything was fine like I'm not giving him that no drink drink no no no I'm not that's jokes I'm
- 1:23:13
just saying like he's Drake is when I understand what people kind of look at
- 1:23:18
him and be like how because the numbers he's put he puts up is almost unbelievable like you can't even like
- 1:23:25
the [ __ ] he does is like I've seen successful artists sit back and be like
- 1:23:31
how the [ __ ] does he keep doing this well there's nobody better at exploiting the market then did him he's great at it
- 1:23:38
hmm I mean I am you could pick different segments of his career and just and I'm not necessarily
- 1:23:43
saying exploit you know anyway it's not a bad word meaning it just comes across
- 1:23:48
that sometime yeah but also Drake as much credit as I've given him to move calculated and quietly in so many
- 1:23:55
instances I can't say Drake hasn't had these conversations arguments being
- 1:24:01
upset everything that meg has any other artist that's came out I think Drake Prai just did them quietly cuz he knew
- 1:24:07
it could affect his brand Lanny was powerful enough to do them to have the leverage to do it yeah yeah we still
- 1:24:12
don't know what's going on with his [ __ ] Johnny and we'll never know yeah i'ma find out the Library of Congress want it
- 1:24:21
once upon a box once upon a time this this was a music podcast so it makes me
- 1:24:26
feel good when artists released music that I want to talk about yeah all right
- 1:24:37
what do y'all think of a sample song cry is that what this is no I heard this
- 1:24:43
before you made the beat definitely he
- 1:24:49
was in there like nah leader singing in the front that's all more of input hey works I
- 1:25:00
love that drink always drops music yo drunk it two o'clock on a Friday plenteous guys good that's the best time
- 1:25:07
to listen to some new music oh man late on a Friday yeah yeah absolutely it is phenomenal that ride
- 1:25:13
home song cry sample worked must be nei Christ he always finds a
- 1:25:20
cool way to start the verse like that way and me I've never heard you songs it's my first time it's my first time
- 1:25:27
hearing these songs because I didn't feel like going to SoundCloud like even
- 1:25:33
came and go to SoundCloud I kind of knew she did this weekend there's a new pull
- 1:25:40
ups coming more pull up for your head tops alright tops are fine Oh fine alright
- 1:25:46
ladies
- 1:25:56
500 mil and I'll fall back in the six finally let y'all put music like you'll
- 1:26:03
finally you guys gonna exist cuz I'm chillin look what had to happen 500 mil to half of Billy on bad contracts
- 1:26:10
allegedly alleged allegedly we don't know you [ __ ] ain't late that stop it
- 1:26:24
stop it stop it y'all go let him do that y'all gonna be misogynistic man uh y'all
- 1:26:31
not gonna be those men Joe we let you do it for mad mixtapes early in your career
- 1:26:36
baby mama fluke was what's wrong with that I don't think he planned to have a
- 1:26:44
kid though calling the pregnancy apart yes it happened his hilarious
- 1:26:50
going out wrote me in to have this conversation with three people who are not thinking about having kids I
- 1:27:02
understand the bar get it I don't think he was planning on having kids at the moment and why got somebody that's done
- 1:27:08
that a lot you shouldn't do that what yeah but but she's like you shouldn't show you're you're speaking from second
- 1:27:15
kid he got to get his first baby mother [ __ ] off a my feel like OLS five would
- 1:27:20
be the one be clear five
- 1:27:27
I think would be the best one I'm sure and every time I want to go crazy I just
- 1:27:34
go add some bars I would never do that well I'm never released something like that you just gotta have you got it you
- 1:27:40
got to know that your kid will grow up and hear this stuff you got to know that your kid is gonna idolize their mom you
- 1:27:48
got to know what this would do to the mom you got to know that regardless of
- 1:27:55
what she's kind of held you down my [ __ ] the only reason there was even on hey you had your kid from the world bar it's
- 1:28:02
good Sophie went somewhere and got low I'm pretty sure that it's paperwork was involved make the break-in be a vote on
- 1:28:10
what was a Sophie splits contracts all
- 1:28:15
the time I mean what more do you want some money that you died I just I disagree with it y'all cause I no no no
- 1:28:21
I don't I don't agree we're not siding with everything you say is correct somebody is upset with their
- 1:28:28
first baby mother like I can't just muscle 30 baby moms are fluke oh you
- 1:28:36
maggot I'm not mad you're just like he shouldn't have said it he should have said that he pries should know [ __ ] but
- 1:28:43
I get it he's too powerful he's too big not in this time not in this era not you all
- 1:28:48
the women love you do I have a bunch of [ __ ] saying after your big monetary time they see ya like that's that's all it would do
- 1:28:54
please chicken to become the fury of Joe Budden look at this yo it's a myth that I'm not with you I know I'm joking yeah
- 1:29:01
but see they run with the joke but is everyone mature the first time they're in a situation no listen I'm not saying
- 1:29:12
it's right but that's all I was asking y'all you just you know if I'm a by mama listen to him sing a song boy and first
- 1:29:19
of all if you call your first baby mother of fluke because Drake said it there's some other issues that you need
- 1:29:25
to deal with that's number two
- 1:29:34
saying my baby mom is a fluke divides me of accountability for the role that that
- 1:29:40
I played in I have been slinging my dick across the country raw every night and one of them
- 1:29:49
and one and one person damn it he got through the eggs the uterus the whatever
- 1:29:56
happens give us your kale your kind of way this
- 1:30:05
[ __ ] been on the charts 500 weeks we don't have to imagine but he's had some
- 1:30:10
good at nights after the shows great nice legendary nights yeah the biggest house is called the
- 1:30:16
embassy hotel Hotel you could play your
- 1:30:26
trash I don't have a baby mother I call if I say everybody just can't wait for
- 1:30:32
y'all to have one I have just seen so many people surrounding me have their first baby mother and their
- 1:30:37
disagreements be insane that calling her a fluke is nice Sam is one baby mama
- 1:30:44
all I've seen so much worse is one baby moms I'm watching ever since she had a kid she ain't stop talking about all the
- 1:30:50
new things that she's ordering but she just waiting on new [ __ ] but she keep order and that's all I got oh yeah
- 1:31:00
that's it and that's the other thing too we got to start speaking to the fact that a lot of these women that's their
- 1:31:05
goal to get pregnant by a lot of these [ __ ] this but there's no whites but there's nothing wrong with that no
- 1:31:10
there's nothing wrong with this there is what Oh y'all are [ __ ] [ __ ] life
- 1:31:17
is it [ __ ] fam if you a mark and I got good [ __ ] and I'm looking for a come-up
- 1:31:24
come on with that good [ __ ] I was gonna say a lot of these girls look great not good [ __ ] okay if you a mark and I look good and I don't have good [ __ ] but you
- 1:31:30
don't know it yet and and we want it we want to find out that's on us as men
- 1:31:37
absolutely I'm not taking no we can't then turn to her and say you got me yeah
- 1:31:44
[ __ ] I did remember you was on me that night didn't really know me and that's my middle name you didn't
- 1:31:50
no but that's still women still have to I mean that move like that have a low I'll take accountable should I go on
- 1:31:58
this ledge oh yeah I'm not taking the
- 1:32:04
accountability yeah I'm asking don't do it yet what I'm asking wait let me let
- 1:32:11
this play for me let's hear some rock you just a little bit just just some simple juice I got enough to Goa they'll
- 1:32:19
kill me with facts and anatomy in all this up to this and that's fine on Twitter this is Rory McFerrin what I'm
- 1:32:27
asking you in this situation is to beat what you're asking of me is a lifetime
- 1:32:34
and it's not for the kid in the sanctity of creating life together
- 1:32:40
it's from money and if you are negligent of that fact as a man Oh first not I
- 1:32:45
said I'm not taking the accountability out of it but you're saying that it's the same no it's not I'm asking for an
- 1:32:53
encounter with you you're asking for my life and not for our child that we would
- 1:32:58
conceive for the money I have no no CNS were you wrong and that's we're concerned you're taking human life as a
- 1:33:04
trait let me let me let me interrupt you because control is an illusion she's not
- 1:33:09
asking you for anything she's not asking you for a thing you gonna beat shit's
- 1:33:17
gonna happen and then and then it's her decision tell us about to be clear the eggs in
- 1:33:22
the but that's gonna do what to do and
- 1:33:35
then she will have a decision to make that has zero to do with you facts she's not asking you anything that instead is
- 1:33:42
entitlement that men have we see what futures going through now no that is the woman the woman's decision you can't say
- 1:33:49
that and then what do you see what features going through why there's something it's anonymous he's battling
- 1:33:55
he's battling with someone who's what I'm saying he's been through this 15 I don't think I think I think if he's been through it
- 1:34:01
15 times and he would go about this one different because you would have just taken the DNA test yeah and now you're
- 1:34:07
being ordered to take the DNA test and pay some [ __ ] I can't which is new
- 1:34:14
different like who didn't know that a court was gonna say hey future we need
- 1:34:20
to see you see Dean it like you can't run from those things I'm aware it don't
- 1:34:25
matter how much of a dick your baby mom's is yo and that's something that we got to talk about not us here cuz what
- 1:34:30
do men have a thing where you put your dick no we don't yes you do you do so
- 1:34:39
these women are aggressive men no men don't have a saying much more yes I say that anytime you put a microphone in
- 1:34:45
front of me we don't have a say in very much and you just have to recognize that
- 1:34:50
that's our place in this country okay just asking you're not gonna expound no
- 1:34:58
cuz you said about no the baby mother thing that men don't have a say so we
- 1:35:05
don't get like oh we don't we don't we don't know it's just it's it's in her body now so but why can't surgeon Oh
- 1:35:10
understandable but why shouldn't that man have a decision if say I want to have a family but then my work and my
- 1:35:17
career at the moment requires me to be away from home and I can't have the family and I can't do the things that I
- 1:35:22
want to do with my family like I shouldn't have a saying that should have pulled up bro said that's all we have is
- 1:35:29
men as you should have pulled up I'm just asking I'm just trying to start starting to in this instance yeah okay
- 1:35:36
in the instance of pregnancy and I have a say and [ __ ] especially if you have a
- 1:35:42
lot of money mmm back to that money tank mm-hmm about money hmm
- 1:35:48
and I don't know why men talk about that like it's a bad thing why like why are women evil for wanting stability that
- 1:35:53
way oh no you try that ability it's not that selfish stability then because
- 1:35:59
you're trying to bring a child into an unstable environment was because there's money there at stable now none under
- 1:36:04
stop I was not saying that in response to women just one babies from dude and
- 1:36:10
this is all women on this I was also I was talking about that specific women that do this thing I was talking about
- 1:36:15
the women want a dude with a lot of money that just specifically targets that guy
- 1:36:23
it's a stability thing I've never knocked a woman for wanting a dude that wants some money I hate a broke [ __ ]
- 1:36:30
yeah so yeah no I have never knocked a woman for want to do [ __ ] you pay for the email you the it be the motives when
- 1:36:38
it's just that you'll never more how often do you know when it's just that me
- 1:36:46
in the first hour of conversation I know what it is just act certain questions what
- 1:36:55
questions do you think you can ask that would help you with that what do you do for a living I have a
- 1:37:04
Wellness Center transaction everything
- 1:37:12
is a transaction literally everything is a transaction you know why what you what what you are what do you do for a living
- 1:37:18
is like flawed a little bit because there are a lot of women out there making six figures and up just from
- 1:37:25
hidden sins yeah but what are they doing for that hidden send just hitting sin
- 1:37:31
maybe take a picture Oh taking pic in here saying you think that's all they're doing don't worry
- 1:37:37
there might be other things cuz I could get three other men in this room and it'll tell you exactly what those women are doing we're all those men I want to
- 1:37:44
hear it that's not like a great pot they're on the charts things like that
- 1:37:52
you know tea Thursday night you don't they're not sitting in parks living room
- 1:37:57
I'll tell you that would find a man so
- 1:38:06
super shocked that the Rockets beat the Knicks like man because that lava was a
- 1:38:15
novel didn't let Bobby Portis in he got a good night's sleep hey while we're on
- 1:38:21
basketball damn Bobby Ford it's not betting out in Chicago here I go making jokes I'm sorry
- 1:38:27
maybe this team made up what was my name nevermind that's not that important yeah
- 1:38:33
real quick before we finish this Drake breakdown wall come on give it up real quick while we learn why we want Sports ad low management mmm
- 1:38:40
called it mm-hmm that's all you got a
- 1:38:48
man is below but Mac but miraculously help you to me as a result of taking
- 1:38:56
that night got the wind the name brother the knee was swollen poor Kuzma you you
- 1:39:09
guard this that was a great game to watch all right back to uh back to Aubry
- 1:39:15
is there any more to say about about Aubrey somebody told me something belly up to price 235 honey now we're data wait I
- 1:39:22
missed that bar Oh a bunch of people hit me like yo what you gonna do now it's
- 1:39:28
not 25 no more 35 is it alone with a 35 in your pocket that should do it that
- 1:39:34
should cover it put it what that's to get the job done yes that's fire that's
- 1:39:39
how you drinkin just get off 3500 I commend him I just want to point out that's how you get flukes if they only
- 1:39:48
won and more looking at the embassy
- 1:40:03
having a button in the car yo it's mom who got next downstairs crazy who you
- 1:40:13
here for mall no I thought it was running a game I've
- 1:40:19
got it Ray Rice chubs should be no problem
- 1:40:25
hey hang a live drag I'm a little chub doubt in these verses what I didn't even mention chose yeah you did
- 1:40:30
that's his Tata what's wrong with that uh did you guys like the video I didn't
- 1:40:39
even see the video that's the video that was some RC though yeah that's when Maul heard song crimes like yo trick you
- 1:40:45
should shoot that in front of Marcy because you know that's what Jay from and he did song cry I literally would have never said and then one more scene
- 1:40:53
Drake in front of the Marcia houses sign easy shot down there let me shoot down make sure you tell mall is that guy yeah
- 1:41:02
yeah i'ma shoot down that's you keep you safe kappa Marcy you kept them safe
- 1:41:07
I'll make sure bleak and I mean jump on him and drink is good it's not somebody look over the shoulder shots in the
- 1:41:14
Nevada I was that was a fluke he was fine in the vid tell me what y'all think he's up
- 1:41:20
to with these with these leaks it's got some cover leaks videos yeah yeah ads
- 1:41:25
leak to everything I think that's cool I miss when leak was the thing yeah these ain't real leaks this is no no of course
- 1:41:31
I'm putting but it's it's the nostalgia that and he was coming up that leaks with the thing no I don't think there'll be an album I don't think either these
- 1:41:37
will be an album but I do like that he's leading with this type of [ __ ] like he's
- 1:41:43
come to the point where we don't need the Drake single like we could take this [ __ ] that's coming too though of course
- 1:41:48
it is come on I was coming Drake is only waiting for there to be no more winter
- 1:41:54
anywhere my opinion joking I feel like he's one of the people that pays
- 1:42:00
attention to weather yeah yeah I know it sounds dumb no I think he pays attention
- 1:42:08
to weather I think that wants to summer to some degree without the Chris Brown
- 1:42:15
record yeah if we started that Chris Brown record he's been going yeah like for somebody
- 1:42:21
of his stature to me kind of drops in the summer huh I mean he's three for three for the for the leak [ __ ] I think
- 1:42:27
desires is great I think both of these are great I saw Ebro Ebro had to take that I
- 1:42:32
actually agreed with tell us about it he said Drake has the greatest Lucy catalog of all time
- 1:42:39
absolutely that's not it he almost did greatest catalog you could have weird
- 1:42:45
you can't know what authority he probably has the best catalog well Wayne
- 1:42:51
was the first one that came to my mom but I was like Wayne did a lot of [ __ ] with actual mixtapes and she just leaked he didn't do the Lucy thing
- 1:42:57
I mean Drake kind of made it his thing so it's a tough competition but I think he would throw Wayne in there but most
- 1:43:04
but prior to Drake most Lucy's were like freestyles over other people's B they
- 1:43:10
were the street they called they called it the street record yeah you put out before the single that was for your core
- 1:43:15
families yeah but they usually ended up on them unless there were freestyle yeah
- 1:43:23
yeah he's got that title cool what you
- 1:43:30
guys want to talk about I don't want to see Drake and Devin Booker together why
- 1:43:39
not Drake is good that's what he does though he oh he's always snes's the young like
- 1:43:44
superstars in sports I just know what I see Devin Booker gay you know music in and sports what are they talking about
- 1:43:54
yeah look what they're doing a 40 man everyone is is drinking they're hanging
- 1:44:01
out in the projects that he's missing he has a soldering thing he's soldering
- 1:44:06
equipment together yeah they're eating
- 1:44:12
[ __ ] vegetable dumplings and [ __ ] the brain there at carbone 40 is in a blue
- 1:44:17
can you even see in the Blue Room yeah I feel all this is possible because that may affect do you guys hear the other
- 1:44:27
not official leaks that came out a couple days ago no I've got them
- 1:44:34
somebody put together a 14 track list of [ __ ] that's already out like the war
- 1:44:39
stuff these two freestyles the desire joints the life is good but then added a
- 1:44:44
bunch of other joints that there's a price and still the one on there there's another future one there's an usher record a bunch of Drake leaks
- 1:44:51
how did they sound I don't look slow some dates they sounded very unfinished and not ready to go out yeah
- 1:45:01
not mix and [ __ ] no don't even sound they sound incomplete period that doesn't seem like that would happen in
- 1:45:10
that camp forties literally in the back soldering the wires I mean emails a fluke Jake don't get
- 1:45:16
enough props with someone tell him a lie I'm on fire she should work tonight know how hard it is to get a stripper to work
- 1:45:21
on an off night answer describe yourself
- 1:45:26
as on fire imagine sex on a stripper yo
- 1:45:33
I'm on fire tonight linked from Myanmar
- 1:45:39
with me from some club in Toronto when he was there with the TDOT boys when I
- 1:45:48
hit you from a club in Toronto more do you know what we've known each other I've never I don't only on this podcast
- 1:45:55
ring story what did I say more I can't really go into the story because I
- 1:46:01
protect you I don't paint you I leave your image the way it should be what you
- 1:46:09
mean what are you protect me from harm from them the tea-table boys what are
- 1:46:17
you talking about I'm just saying when when when there's a funny story I don't I don't go into it the way that you do
- 1:46:22
you just delve right into it but fine I'll get into it you just happen to be in Toronto like you happen to be at that
- 1:46:29
summer Walker show you kept secret from us and you were in a club and you would tell me a lot of ladies in there it was
- 1:46:37
2 years ago years ago this might have been around I start from the bottom
- 1:46:42
might have been around here I mean all he remembers that club about you my
- 1:46:52
story now right I can't really get into the story that week forgetting about sir but yeah yeah that's all I can say it's
- 1:47:00
not really trouble but I understand what you say I protect people bro no no no anything you
- 1:47:05
tell us about the night with your Tolman I think the best stories to tell on
- 1:47:10
podcaster one you can't speak about yeah absolutely people know you guys are killing it right now it's only Jody comes in and
- 1:47:15
and says whatever story did shouldn't be say but Malden Toronto was a whole lot of girls in there and you know it was in
- 1:47:22
the club like Miami would be a mess but
- 1:47:36
I don't think it was you couldn't be not
- 1:48:03
have a successful night it was success as much of the picture he's gonna pay
- 1:48:08
what is your definition of a successful night Oh whatever [ __ ] whatever
- 1:48:15
you go out say y'all want to do this tonight if it happens you had a successful night and I want to have sex
- 1:48:21
tonight so it's successful yeah very successful oh are you two still in contact emphasis
- 1:48:29
on suck ha ha ha you are by the night
- 1:48:36
should we give her a call we will never do that ok can you give her a call you
- 1:48:42
know numbers no you speak to her no have you seen her no did you cut her off
- 1:48:50
talk about swag yeah right it could only be me um all right what else is
- 1:48:57
important out there is there anything else on on Drake no all right what else is important out beer uh do you think
- 1:49:04
well before you don't that do you think he ditched you by stealing the treatment to your song castles for his video here
- 1:49:12
like he was showing you thrown another shot your way no I don't think the Drake has ever seen that or video for Catholic
- 1:49:19
suppose castles with money it was just
- 1:49:24
this at less expensive places I was soldering scream and scream and scream
- 1:49:31
and scream and I promise you we don't need nobody asked for the castles video
- 1:49:39
upfront I can assure you of that Jesus man all right what's going on
- 1:49:46
Chuck D fired Flavor Flav public enemy fired Flavor Flav first the Fat Boys
- 1:49:53
break up this is uh this is crazy to me just because like Public Enemy was was
- 1:49:59
political for me yeah found no flavor
- 1:50:06
grease oh yeah so it's comments some background on this um the background
- 1:50:13
here is public enemy was doing a show at a trap that Trump at a Bernie Sanders
- 1:50:18
rally or whatever they call convention whatever the [ __ ] it was yeah Bernie
- 1:50:25
Sanders invited Chuck D to come and perform at a Bernie Sanders event Chuck
- 1:50:30
D as Public Enemy radio is what he performs under with the at s1 W's and
- 1:50:36
his DJ and hype man yeah but I guess this was promoted as just Public Enemy yeah mmm I think the
- 1:50:43
radio Dave was saying I think the radio is always kind of in small font okay well flames point is you are not
- 1:50:52
Public Enemy by yourself and I do not endorse any of these candidates so what
- 1:50:59
the [ __ ] does the Flyers say public in it before take it off yeah I don't want to [ __ ] with that and
- 1:51:05
then then we got something to say it Flavor Flav has been fired from Public
- 1:51:11
Enemy and I was shot because I was like me I thought they'd been fired flavor story with them and yeah I saw a Public
- 1:51:18
Enemy perform on a few years ago and it was no Flav like show still went not net
- 1:51:23
not - not Flav and what he's contributed personally but I just didn't know I didn't know how together they still
- 1:51:31
worked first headline I saw was Public Enemy Chuck D fires flavor flavor from Public Enemy for not endorsing Bernie Sanders
- 1:51:39
and I say this is what broke the straw for flake for Chuck D for Flav no this
- 1:51:45
is what kicking him out I don't think it was that specific good they've had underlying four years three years four
- 1:51:50
years though I think I think Chuck D can perform just fine as Chuck D truck
- 1:51:55
driver the flyer doesn't need to say Public Enemy radio as a way to get around that like you could just be Chuck
- 1:52:01
D and be fine I agree or maybe a different name with some sort think the
- 1:52:07
name Chuck D holds a lot of weight it does it does or find it a different name
- 1:52:12
in Chuck D of Public gonna be saying [ __ ] yeah yeah there's a million ways to do it and I do agree that it can be
- 1:52:20
misleading even with the radio in there like if I saw a public enemy out go to
- 1:52:26
the show and then slave wouldn't be there mm-hmm and I would be disappointed so I
- 1:52:31
get that I absolutely get that now I don't know about Chuck saying Chuck said spoke spoke at at Bernie Sanders rally
- 1:52:39
with at enemy radio if there was a bag Flav would have been there front and center he will not do free benefit shows
- 1:52:47
sued me in court the first time I let him back in his ambulance lawyer and I don't even know what an ambulance lawyer
- 1:52:54
is that means someone that follows the ambulance because they know there'll be a lawsuit someone that chases case
- 1:53:00
greatest lawyer I know what that is they hang out in the courtroom to be like yo what's going on do you I can trust me I
- 1:53:07
know they chase the [ __ ] yeah his ambulance lawyer sued me again on Friday and so now he stays home and better find
- 1:53:15
rehab the two statements I don't like in that hour Flav would have been there
- 1:53:21
front and center if there was a bag attached that is an assumption I like to be fact-based we cannot say he might can
- 1:53:28
infer that uh as in further word I'm looking for yeah he might can infer that
- 1:53:34
because he did it because he knows he knows Flav but that is not fact-based and probably from his experience
- 1:53:44
he sued me in court the first time I let him back in like could be suggesting yeah and I have an have an issue with
- 1:53:50
the better fine rehab part dears that's a low blow there's a more tell us the only one
- 1:53:56
there's a more tactful way to go about that if that is your concern about
- 1:54:01
flavor flav responded to this by saying that he's been clean for ten years
- 1:54:07
oh no I don't have to support any political candidate and you alone are not the voice of public in yeah it's
- 1:54:16
it's unfortunate and I respect and love both of them musically this was like an
- 1:54:23
introduction into hip-hop yeah me too not long after at least yeah they were
- 1:54:28
early they were everywhere you know pokken was huge multi-platinum white boys were Public Enemy shirts like
- 1:54:35
they were I wouldn't love a Public Enemy shirt right now go to urban outfitters
- 1:54:41
[Music] [Laughter] but I said yeah it said I'm saying yeah
- 1:54:50
I'm saying but again it's something they've had beef in you know about what a bunch of sure he was Chuck was mad
- 1:54:57
about Flav being on the all the reality shows he felt like they're depicting him in a negative way and they had beef over
- 1:55:06
there's a bunch of [ __ ] over the years but that was the most recent and biggest one I think that I can recall I mean
- 1:55:12
this is kind of the other side of the coin in our music business talk not just hip-hop specific at all groups don't
- 1:55:20
stay together and whether that be business or personality or anything just this business period will drive any
- 1:55:27
successful group away from each other yeah it always comes down to just meets
- 1:55:33
on my group the money the money communication but it's a lot of [ __ ] like I said that if the a big thing for
- 1:55:41
them is a group but there's been a lot of [ __ ] over the years was the reality show that doesn't really have anything
- 1:55:46
to do with money he was mad about how he was being depicted he felt the networks were depicting Flav in an unfavorable
- 1:55:52
way and so he was mad that Flav was letting them do that I guess so as I
- 1:55:58
really about and I think uh Fife Congress is so never brought up money he just said him in and
- 1:56:04
q-tip didn't get along I think that was a case of knowing someone since you were in kindergarten and you've just spent
- 1:56:09
way too much time like you're fighting like actual family yeah I don't think was a money issue I just think it's a
- 1:56:15
music issue that would suck to be in a group with somebody you don't get along with yeah I thank God that wasn't my
- 1:56:24
group experience because that's like that brings up these uh these frivolous
- 1:56:29
frivolous beefs like no you can't use the name of the group ever yeah that's
- 1:56:35
us and not you like Pham which is fair though no no but I mean as a fan it's
- 1:56:42
fair coz like I said if I went to a Public Enemy show and it wasn't Public Enemy as in Flav and Chuck then I would
- 1:56:49
be disappointed that's how the temptations got my mom into the show it
- 1:56:54
was not one member from the temptations there she's like me I'm at this
- 1:56:59
temptation show these guys look about thirty-five my mom will do Seymour's day at a time who was a whole new time em
- 1:57:13
out they work this out cuz it's disappointing it's disheartening yeah it's disheartening for the hip hop kid
- 1:57:18
in me yeah it's disheartening Public Enemy taught me if they weren't my introduction to hip hop
- 1:57:24
they were my introduction to revolution yeah morality in hip-hop like actually
- 1:57:32
standing for a Cause and being about that and rebelling yeah I mean excellent
- 1:57:37
yeah um so shout out to Chuck D shout to Flavor Flav absolutely and not to take
- 1:57:43
away from anything Flavor Flav has accomplished in reality TV know legends kind of led the way in a lot of cases
- 1:57:49
you the pioneer yeah I think some chunk
- 1:57:58
is delicious why would Chuck we met I
- 1:58:08
was logged in into your memory forever for eternity I
- 1:58:16
think caricature being used as a
- 1:58:22
caricature is no doubt he's a personality no doubt in fact I think
- 1:58:30
more people fell in love with Flavor Flav as a result of his reality shows Oh cuz he saw sight of him you didn't see
- 1:58:35
from the entertainer that may be true you know I'm saying like I don't think I could also see Chuck side of saying look
- 1:58:44
what we were before and how you're portraying yourself now on vh1 yeah
- 1:58:49
point of view no he wasn't he was bright colorful wacky yeah but he was still
- 1:58:54
saying some [ __ ] do you want to say some [ __ ] with ladies in a row he was bad listen I understand is I could
- 1:59:02
understand how it would it would look like a character situation yeah how can
- 1:59:07
I say why he was a character absolutely absolutely figure out how we got here
- 1:59:22
but I get it now
- 1:59:35
and love too delicious for being newly engaged delicious friend of the show
- 1:59:43
absolutely fine - I love delicious meat so don't think that was a shot because you know this flavor like she'll talk
- 1:59:48
about it yeah that's that's why he was bad law show joke about it wish you um what else what else is going on out
- 1:59:54
there in the streets what else what else needs our unpacking uh well I guess since we're on kind of fight the power
- 2:00:00
whose side do you want the garden is Spike Lee spike what they don't miss bike man they would let him in the VIP
- 2:00:07
no I wouldn't let him through the employee entrance if we didn't have a podcast I wouldn't talk about 90-percent should we talk about I can't believe
- 2:00:13
this was a first take thing this morning well I was when I was glad it was the first take thing so we could got some
- 2:00:18
answers um what they're saying he should be what
- 2:00:27
they did Spike Lee went to attended knick game Knicks Rockets he went
- 2:00:33
through the employee insurance on 33rd Street he was he was stopped as he does
- 2:00:39
has for 28 years he said he's done that for three decades come on Spike is an employee of the Knicks pretty much well he said he just
- 2:00:47
went there Wednesday for a play they did and went through that same entrance so if they changed the company model or
- 2:00:53
company rules to you can't come through his entrance nobody called him and told him even though when he's one day late
- 2:00:59
for a payment his phone rings all day long yeah so he said I didn't like how
- 2:01:04
to handle him he said I'm not getting off the elevator unless y'all can arrest me if I'm under arrest if not I'm gonna
- 2:01:10
go watch the game I said he got to the fifth floor where the garden is and on security was there waiting and told me
- 2:01:18
go out to the VIP entrance he's like you scanned my ticket I know it tickets work once I leave here I won't be able to get
- 2:01:24
back in they wanted him to leave leave the employee entrance and walk in the VIP entrance on 33rd you know the
- 2:01:29
entrance on 33rd and on I think that's night it's not eight the VIP probably
- 2:01:38
Madeleine he's got the right I mean just thought I'm going if he's been doing
- 2:01:44
that for three decades everybody network see you next time every security guard no spike like
- 2:01:50
everyone knows like my kin man what are we talk about makes Mike go back outside what is spike gonna do right besides go
- 2:01:57
to his seat and root for the Knicks as he has been for 30 years well you guys
- 2:02:02
have produced nothing for him losses they did this on the first one Leon
- 2:02:09
Rose's first day as president it's these
- 2:02:14
types of incidents that turn people off from the Knicks the Charles Oakley arrest mm-hmm yeah these things that are
- 2:02:21
happening in in public sight plaint plain sight [ __ ] the banning of the fan like a fan got banned for saying
- 2:02:28
sell the team he's bent like these things don't have the greatest effect on
- 2:02:34
your brand even though you're not really looking for that because y'all are the richest brand in the sport yeah most
- 2:02:40
valuable brand in a sport rabbit I'm just done with the next minute are you gonna read a Steve Stoute statement no
- 2:02:52
they had told me you can't make no public appearances oh yeah they told their brand manager to stop branding them okay guys the kick spike out yeah
- 2:03:06
man no they're killing [ __ ] the Knicks didn't put out a statement which is the funniest thing the [ __ ] universe I
- 2:03:12
thought this is favor stuff I swear to god though this is fake when it first only the Knicks put out statements two things that you shouldn't put out a
- 2:03:20
statement for but I'll read it for you like the here and here goes the Knicks
- 2:03:25
said the idea that Spike Lee is a victim because we have repeatedly asked him to not use our employee entrance and
- 2:03:31
instead use a dedicated VIP entrance which is used by every other celebrity who enters the garden is laughable stop
- 2:03:38
right that's false by the way that's false and also I know what's laughable is there to do that spike is like every
- 2:03:44
other celebrity that enters the garden that's also laughable but there's man of us that go through the employee entrance there's a person sitting there checking
- 2:03:51
names to see if your name is yeah it's like if you're like a regular so we're like at the restaurant they let you do
- 2:03:57
certain to the employee entrance it goes on to say is laughable it's disappointing that
- 2:04:03
spike would create this false controversy to perpetuate drama because that's what Spike Lee does yes he is
- 2:04:10
welcome to the garden anytime via the VIP or general entrance just not through
- 2:04:16
our employee entrance which is what he and Jim agreed to last night when they shook hands Spike Lee appeared on first take
- 2:04:23
yesterday morning to say that he never shook hands with jim with dolan what
- 2:04:29
which dolan is this this is james dolan or Jim Dolan I forgot about Shiva short for James so yeah but his dad was dead
- 2:04:34
on there's a couple people his dad owns a couple guns involved here yeah but his dad was doing doing work so I don't want
- 2:04:40
to confuse the two the son is the son is he is not doing this the best way you got it
- 2:04:46
and he took over the team I think in 2000 or something like that but this is just not the best PR for your team your
- 2:04:54
friend PR jeopardy yeah it's bad it's bad I know I don't want to spend too much time on this cuz the Nixon nicking
- 2:05:00
it hurts yeah it hurt that's crazy oh yeah coming off a good win that's a
- 2:05:06
good one for you oh the expensive spike yeah I think I'll take spike to the employee entrance
- 2:05:12
Rockets it was a good win for the Knicks and we've heard nothing about it because the spike news is what dominated the
- 2:05:18
headlines yeah and that's just not how you it's now you do this man so make
- 2:05:25
sure the Lakers telling Jack Nicholson to go into the uh some specific entrance I can go into right onto an intern you
- 2:05:31
go through any entrance you go through a specific entrance or general and the general entrance like extra said it's
- 2:05:39
well great you should not be inviting Spike Lee to walk through your your general entrance boy that's a security
- 2:05:45
hazard first and foremost yeah but it's just a ban the gardens not the easiest for an
- 2:05:51
unknown to get in through the GA entrance right I have our time getting in through the GA entrance Spike Lee is
- 2:05:59
at least a million times more famous and recognizable than Joe Budden especially
- 2:06:04
that at the guard here yeah avoid the
- 2:06:11
hassle let them in and you know spike is nuts oh how you didn't know that the everyday
- 2:06:16
action was coming yeah see y'all don't be knowing which black people was nuts no they know spike doesn't know anybody
- 2:06:21
that's supposed to mix as long as he has his nuts spike is not so he reacted nuts
- 2:06:29
yeah I'm with him I'm nuts sometimes [ __ ] calls for a nuts reaction yeah all
- 2:06:35
right what else you got Rory we will stay in New York 50 cent said he will be
- 2:06:40
executive producing and finishing pop smokes out what what's wrong with it
- 2:06:47
it's a real noteworthy thing I think it's a perfect match yeah how do you
- 2:06:54
know that this has happening Stephen Victor confirmed it oh okay great this came from Stephen
- 2:07:01
Victor in a comment agreeing that yes let's do this because 50 has just been appointing himself to different roles
- 2:07:12
not I don't think 50 would troll this nobody no I wouldn't say that either but
- 2:07:18
I would think that he could have been talking about something he aspires something he wants to hear maybe he was but I did see the screenshot of Stephen
- 2:07:26
Victor replying and confirming that this is something if it's not confirmed it's
- 2:07:31
at least in the works to get 50 involved with finishing that out oh good that's right yeah yeah I'm with that I am too
- 2:07:40
I do hope 50 keeps that production team and everyone that was around pop very
- 2:07:46
much involved too cuz it is a sound that is new and kind of only understood by the kids so executive producer
- 2:07:52
yes I love that 50 would be executive producing this yeah I'm sure man if he tried to broaden the sound no no he
- 2:07:58
could throw it some 50 sauce on there but I still want this to be the people that are leading the charge with this
- 2:08:05
Brooklyn a lot of his new kids remind me of 50 like I know that pop smoke style is not 50 style at all Boeing pine wrap
- 2:08:14
this I feel like remind gives me a little 50 this is a little bit yeah for sure
- 2:08:19
there's a few of these new [ __ ] like that man we need a new family tree like we need a new we need a tree to say
- 2:08:25
we're we do it with Kid Cudi Kanye [ __ ] we need fifties in that tree
- 2:08:30
definitely this is a lot of just with
- 2:08:39
lyrics of what the sound has become to some degree there's there's plenty of
- 2:08:49
gun to good the gunshots of the beat no [ __ ] that but yeah
- 2:08:58
did he just came from this time were you rapping someone is really wrong something is really wrong with the
- 2:09:06
person that's gonna say to you I'll kill you and sing in the background I ain't
- 2:09:13
playing I play like art it's call art
- 2:09:20
its is that the song where 50 said that did no that's not this song that's not
- 2:09:25
uh if you were smart you'd be [ __ ] me yeah you know that sounds about to say
- 2:09:31
cuz I'm looking for you hey spread your momma crib and hey yo and look for me 15 oh my guitar - looking for you
- 2:09:41
I'm rorry shoot your momma cold words used to love their line that was his favorite line cuz it's real it's real
- 2:09:50
with you not the most healthy way to
- 2:09:59
find an individual no I wouldn't recommend it but I get it understand me
- 2:10:05
ambush it spray it is grandma it sprayed Makris 50 was then I could get it got it Frank spray Yale's crib he survived it
- 2:10:12
was like I don't buy dear good shirt it sure angered me when looking for y'all
- 2:10:20
let me apply this logic to the rest of my life I got a watch on that for life [ __ ] the
- 2:10:26
new episode yeah this show I missed it you watched it finally yeah some shop
- 2:10:31
I'm fighting coming in here and give an outsider deep dive I won't do that I'm not gonna do that just yet actually I will but later in the show so
- 2:10:38
you know Santana put out a project shots of Jules yeah I actually did not know he put up a project I did was lastly yeah it's good
- 2:10:45
too so you know everybody's talking about a track on there in my life this and he may be alluding to certain group
- 2:10:52
members one in particular maybe okay who
- 2:10:57
else project they say he's dissing camp yeah could that be yeah it could be
- 2:11:03
I think that was mumblings behind the scenes for a while is that it was some friction and some tension it at one
- 2:11:10
point cam was vocal yeah when a I'm say
- 2:11:16
all I ever remember about this and I want to be sensitive because it is sensitive all I remember about this was
- 2:11:21
when I was fighting to get far to [ __ ] away from Def Jam there was a lot of us fighting to get far to [ __ ] away from
- 2:11:27
Def Jam & juelz I think might have been
- 2:11:32
one of those people but the rumor was that he was unable to get away from Def
- 2:11:38
Jam because he didn't have control of his situation that word control again um
- 2:11:43
the rumor was just that the deal was with cam so if cam wants to keep you at
- 2:11:50
Def Jam then you're staying at Def Jam now I don't know any of that to be for a fact I haven't spoken to cam about that
- 2:11:56
am spoken Juelz about that that was where as something that was floating around back in a day but uh and and I
- 2:12:02
haven't heard this record that you bout the play but listen you get to thinking about [ __ ] in jail oh you got his time
- 2:12:10
so let's see what you think about
- 2:12:19
I love this sample by the way Duffus
- 2:12:25
beat already sound yeah this is heart this is on brown this is on brand with
- 2:12:32
the Dipset sound for sure [Music]
- 2:13:06
all right okay
- 2:13:46
I mean I'm not saying that's about game
- 2:13:53
either I'm not saying it's about this big it ain't about gym but it could be nice ideas about either yeah it could be
- 2:13:59
about someone shut up y'all it's about cam who is it I don't think Juelz would snow we don't the best ever happened to
- 2:14:05
camp that was the bar that stuck out to me okay it said a lot of the things in
- 2:14:12
it oh okay that was the line I was like I I don't even think she would say I'm
- 2:14:19
the best thing that's ever after you came as kids like yeah okay are you
- 2:14:27
talking about is but from this from this
- 2:14:39
perspective I totally see that people would think that we have no idea I have no idea who is or is not signed to cam
- 2:14:47
and he's talking to cam but yeah I can't think of anybody else that he would be
- 2:14:53
talking to outside of cam and that makes this interesting that makes this I've
- 2:14:59
now seen all of the beefs that I never imagined I would see between brothers
- 2:15:04
well they dwells in cam I don't to use word beef but they had some dissensions around the cam 50 time when Jimmy &
- 2:15:13
juelz went on stage with 50 I remember camp came on what interview that was about Juelz lien addiction at
- 2:15:20
the time I pulled up the quote during the the song Juelz started drinking
- 2:15:27
scissor browbeat us and he got hooked on it addicted to it you go to a studio he has 100 Hawaiian punches premix of that
- 2:15:32
stuff so I kind of stopped speaking to him you know we already smoked Matt we we don't need to be on robitussin I called his mother about it calls his
- 2:15:38
closest friends they knew about it and was like cam it's not that bad but isn't like he's over there doing it I'm like
- 2:15:44
yo I'm just saying he smoked a little bit of that crack it ain't that much crack it's just a little bit how does
- 2:15:49
that sound so y'all be letting cam say shoot because he say just saw a long time ago he'd say [ __ ] funny I don't think that's
- 2:15:56
funny no no I wasn't show he wasn't trying he came out like really
- 2:16:03
saying we got to stop doing this this lien [ __ ] and this was before lien was even popping I got it this was when
- 2:16:09
Joelle's was doing like the way she the only problem I have with that though I don't publicly don't know know what
- 2:16:17
season no no but I have a problem with that only because cool you don't want to see you know Juelz sipping lean or
- 2:16:25
whatever but then y'all put out alcohol brand called scissor like she does to me
- 2:16:31
wears just conscious contradiction it's like we can't glorify it in profit all
- 2:16:36
of it to the listeners that may not remember when they were had their dispute this was a long time ago they
- 2:16:42
had sense made up I was bring that up to
- 2:16:47
say that they had beef before yeah this isn't a new no which is why I'm saying these are probably old bars or [ __ ] that
- 2:16:53
he just want to put out and get off his chest no this is the same not the same because we don't know situations but it
- 2:17:00
sounds like the same mega stallion situation kind of I mean if this is
- 2:17:05
indeed at Kim didn't you cuz how I took that line rory's I'm the best thing to happen to you meaning business-wise yeah like I don't
- 2:17:13
know whose side to cam but I am the only one that got this pop and maybe Jim ain't signed again I don't know but now
- 2:17:20
even at that time when when Dipset really first started to pop Juelz was the it was gone I was his greater say we
- 2:17:27
got to remember it was a time when Juelz was one of the best rappers in the game he has music would Wayne like a bunch of
- 2:17:34
Records we he's probably out rapping weird music before we my peril at my
- 2:17:39
high school only talked about jewel senses I will never forget Big Joe shut off the Big Joe by the way Big Joe a
- 2:17:46
little jump step in the web you know Big Joe oh no joke right now you know I was making it um yeah Big Joe step to Wed
- 2:17:54
you know what they having like a street conversation back and forth and Big Joe wasn't he bet whatever the amount of
- 2:18:01
money was that Juelz is and would continue to be the way bigger a much
- 2:18:07
bigger artist than me hmm and that wasn't far
- 2:18:13
all for him to say and that time just going by Juelz entrance the records that
- 2:18:18
we had heard yeah his image his crew his backing cam was on fire jewel for
- 2:18:23
everybody everybody was on fire so women took to malls points that's one factor
- 2:18:28
women loved jewel they would if they were carrying the actual purchased part
- 2:18:35
I think of his career he had all the backing he had the [ __ ] that we like he could actually rap he had the the
- 2:18:40
hottest crew in New York at the time but the chicks that was what would separate him from an identity and in the music
- 2:18:48
but wait let me let me just chime in real quick because see for a long time like I was frustrated with fans for
- 2:18:56
clowning my ability to rap because it wasn't on par with my visibility or my
- 2:19:01
commercial success Juelz had that hot start came in just like we just said and
- 2:19:07
then disappeared for years and years and years and years and never said a word about why mm-hmm I want to let the
- 2:19:14
casual fans of hip hop know and the not so casual fans of hip hop that just may not be so familiar with the inner
- 2:19:21
workings of the business this is why artists disappear and you don't hear
- 2:19:26
anything I don't know what the Meg what the Meg assumption was we're not releasing music after we heard from call
- 2:19:33
Crawford but normally when an artist is getting jerked and they don't have any recourse they just go away
- 2:19:39
well let's not do that again I don't know his business with cam but Joelle
- 2:19:44
definitely had some personal problems and issues he was dealing with which is also a reason artists disappear yeah
- 2:19:52
work that we're not I'm not gonna say super public but things he's talked about at this point in his career things
- 2:19:57
we knew were going on I'm not just gonna say offer if he was getting jerked that's why we never from going he has a personal issues the only reason I'm not
- 2:20:04
going I'm not going there is because most of the creatives in my opinion have
- 2:20:10
personal issues and their career kind of helps to offset that mm-hm so everyone
- 2:20:16
is different those things I so I can't say just because all my others can't I'm
- 2:20:23
just playing creative spirit is I don't know what was the drugs with dwells yes there's a
- 2:20:29
plenty of people that musicians that did drugs that were not able to overcome some can't yeah you know most can yeah
- 2:20:39
gonna say this is specifically to what meg is going through or something that he was getting jerked by Def Jam and cam
- 2:20:46
and Rockefeller like I'm just I know he was going through some [ __ ] um I don't I don't know what he was going through I'm
- 2:20:52
just listening to lyrics and saying what it sound like yeah that's what it sound
- 2:20:57
like in a song do you all think we hear reply from cam about this or Jimmy or anybody that's hard to say um I'm
- 2:21:03
probably I'm guessing that they probably we're not here for any this so it might be very old yeah I feel like a lot of
- 2:21:09
the souls of this tape doesn't have a sound it may have heard this already this hand may have heard this might be to have have been laying around to
- 2:21:16
Records there's several ways on that verse doesn't sound done that just by his ad-libs and the pauses he was making
- 2:21:23
it sounds like he was still trying to work that where's the [ __ ] when the song was was made that mean that just means
- 2:21:28
you had a issue for a while decision to put it out still they may have heard the
- 2:21:36
song and then done the dips album that came out well last year two years ago whatever this song could be three four years old they may be very aware of it
- 2:21:42
yeah sure that's that's what it's pretty vague so yeah go ahead put it out go
- 2:21:49
ahead we don't you we don't care yeah true we don't know anything it sound like he was outwardly saying [ __ ] cam or
- 2:21:55
you know anything particular he was saying pretty stuff that could be taken many different ways and I feel like if
- 2:22:01
even if he was saying that I don't think that nothing cam would have heard it in him but like okay you feel like that it's a good music they'll put it out
- 2:22:08
yeah yeah can I say some [ __ ] like fans [ __ ] be mad everyday be put some music
- 2:22:15
out it's good right that's the important part that you also put out some music but cam is that the type that would if
- 2:22:20
this was a contracting cam will throw that whole contract on Instagram and walk you through it yeah cam is that
- 2:22:27
tight alright let's walk through every fact yeah do it there I'm saying I think Kim
- 2:22:33
would be one of those people that would do that if that is indeed what's happening here which is a big assumption yeah listen I don't have
- 2:22:39
a horse in the race man I [ __ ] cam I [ __ ] with your nose and the drawers project is nice I'm trying to record a
- 2:22:53
podcast my car how are you CC Sabathia

- 2:24:31
think about uh Megan versus Carl Crawford in their situation okay put the
- 2:24:44
numbers up deliver and we negotiate very
- 2:24:49
simple but when she has you have to do that she has yet to put the numbers up I love

- 2:27:46
of sanitizer wash your hands in your ass that's who I don't know if it's we don't
- 2:27:53
know where it's coming from oh and that's why that's what I meant to say last podcast you idiots out there like summer Walker who were travelling
- 2:27:59
through the airports with his [ __ ] on your face wrapped in garbage bags all you are doing is protecting the
- 2:28:07
population from you spreading the corona virus if you have it that's what I meant
- 2:28:13
to say yeah that is now protecting you first six receiving right the corona
- 2:28:19
virus yeah we know we know why she had that mask on wasn't for the it wasn't
- 2:28:26
for the roni yeah me a little bit of Roni real quick man Bobby you lucky
- 2:28:33

- 2:28:54

- 2:28:59
you heard of this yeah okay project yeah I've heard signals out but yeah and I
- 2:29:07
haven't heard it in its entirety but I heard it around dominican people hmm and it went on it was a different vibe
- 2:29:14
yeah I think you would sell them better you personally the first time was a little more like emo how many atoms has
- 2:29:19
you put out to this is this being a second it's being a second Wow this one's a lot more reggaeton like
- 2:29:25
party music it's great but the first one I think would be more your bag I'm a finally a Latin artist I think that's a
- 2:29:31
cheat code it definitely was streaming now got a good a Latin or you didn't Ori hit the heights or hit the heights with
- 2:29:40
nori let musics come a long way since gasolina that's a joke don't you dare it word don't you [ __ ] dare that was the
- 2:29:54
original gasps lightning that was that [ __ ] good tower that with the Spanish
- 2:30:01
tip drill way bigger than tip to it
- 2:30:07
bigger yes 100% well because it was I'm
- 2:30:15
about to go get the YouTube premiere premium script so happy about no ads
- 2:30:21
what else is going on I'm something man dude called by four how come you not at
- 2:30:29
the Illuminati dinner that's why they called you cuz I'm not I have jobs I have to work for my money unlike those executives
- 2:30:34
yes they got Meg working for them yeah what kind like and I try and have to listen the
- 2:30:41
guys because Kai's is the industry put up numbers and renegotiate that's what
- 2:30:46
meg is saying she tried to do even know what she hasn't put the numbers up yet she put some numbers up not enough to
- 2:30:52
renegotiate no definitely not see when you're in an album deal and you don't really have an album well I guess
- 2:30:58
she has one just sexually they're not albums no the other one thank you about
- 2:31:07
last year yeah that would be the only one I would consider [ __ ] albums mixtapes albums mixtapes what's the
- 2:31:12
difference she should have been do you know what I don't know what the difference is but she should have been fighting for them to be called albums
- 2:31:19
sure I think everyone should be fighting for lies clearly she didn't but she was calling them mix tapes but I don't know
- 2:31:25
I don't know I don't know why artists don't fight for all their should be called out I have no idea either um come
- 2:31:31
on man I wanna go home at some point what else is there uh Netflix is a joke festival yes it looks like I don't know
- 2:31:37
what anyone that ever made a great joke is on that lineup Walter except for me wait you gotta check with Kai's in them
- 2:31:44

- 2:32:04
Marlon Wayans Chris Rock Jane Fonda Lily Tomlin Jamie Foxx Kevin Hart will pee
- 2:32:10
Goldberg Martin Lawrence and possibly others if no others show up I'm there
- 2:32:21
I'm sold Ali Wong Amy Schumer bill bird Dave Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl David Letterman Jamie Foxx Jane Fonda
- 2:32:30
Kevin Hart Martin Lawrence Sebastian - hello Lily Tomlin I'm sorry I'm reading
- 2:32:36
fast Whoopi Goldberg Kevin Hart Chris Rock Jerry Seinfeld Sarah Silverman Wanda Sykes you skip Sebastian you just
- 2:32:44
aren't listening oh and then it looks like a bunch of podcast I like Bert Kreischer and Tom Sierra's podcast Segarra sorry and then a bunch of other
- 2:32:51
Pods and names get smaller and smaller but that's every pretty much everyone that makes comedy even not on a huge
- 2:32:58
level in the smaller print this is a live show of coffees with comedians and coffee comedian yeah well it's a weekend
- 2:33:07
and it says I think I forgot what 80 venues or
- 2:33:13
something in two days like it's a bunch of okay it's like South by Southwest for comedy okay it's not just around like
- 2:33:19
this is a festival what's this should they do in New York in the fall oh is it cmj it's one of the probably
- 2:33:25
that's a yeah
- 2:33:31
- it looks crazy any you guys going to this I would like to avoid yeah I would like to - April 27th through May 3rd in
- 2:33:38
Los Angeles Dave Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl is curtly I can see well and they added some more detail so that
- 2:33:43
it's a night of music and friends so you know he's gonna bring Dave Chappelle Billy Crystal kept Billy Crystal and
- 2:33:50
Kevin are will be Seinfeld well my college is it is incredible this is this is not looks like it's literally
- 2:33:58
everybody oh we can fully a bunch of you know this is gonna be on Netflix at some point oh they're shooting I'm sure
- 2:34:03
they're shooting a dacha round everyone's set is gonna have a bit from it and that's just gonna be one big ass
- 2:34:10
one big ass stand up I'm here for it I want even more room where music will
- 2:34:19
be actual shows and who will be cuz again this doesn't sound like a festival more like a weekend conference thing and
- 2:34:25
you gotta read line up subject to change that's very important with these things
- 2:34:31
the big news that go change balls especially all the ones that have deals
- 2:34:36
a little with those comedians up here the we're gonna announce some people soon well no there's a lot of fine print
- 2:34:42
and smaller [ __ ] even even David sell is in smaller print that's crazy
- 2:34:49
that's how Lou not sounds amazing well do you guys want to touch on
- 2:34:55
Tinashe was caught up in some hot water recently I missed it sleepers it is let's see sleeper time oh
- 2:35:05

- 2:35:11
yes inside the actor studios was always one of my favorites I know he's that he's done much more but that is one that
- 2:35:19
I've enjoyed yo Judge Judy is canceled and that's a
- 2:35:25
big deal for me after 25 seasons sorry to hear that true no that is a big dealer that's a huge
- 2:35:32
deal man Judge Judy that show was still that show still yeah so it's a lot of a
- 2:35:39
lot of judge shows out there I don't know why it's being canceled but Judge Judy got the bag back 25 and then boogie
- 2:35:45
she probably wants to retire yeah yeah she might have cancelled herself yeah she's great congratulations and thank
- 2:35:52
you for your 25 years of service just whatever I love you I love Judge Judy yeah actually
- 2:35:58
Judge Judy is my is this woman's uh it's a woman's appreciation more for some [ __ ] like that I'm going with Judge Judy
- 2:36:05
I'm highlighting Judge Judy for her service or some [ __ ] like that I was
- 2:36:11
gonna say something I even acknowledge it though
- 2:36:17
I'm now swimming every morning and you're standing in the rain
- 2:36:24
I hate the arms and nothing [ __ ] these um all right check it out that was
- 2:36:33
my radio you can't talk to Kaiser and be
- 2:36:38
mad when I say check it out why do you paint me talking to Kaiser as something
- 2:36:44
other than what it is look at the table they just passed the phone around to talk to you that was our celebration for
- 2:36:51
taking Meg's 4G span winning our private fantasy football D he beat me when I
- 2:36:56
left 130 points on my bench that's why he wasn't invited
