how are you guys doing I didn't notice that mall and mall had like last last

  • 0:59

time we were doing this I saw you had a picture behind you but I didn't really see the picture so it looked like some

  • 1:06

real [ __ ] and I brought your poop I brought some cool points down like that and expect mall we ain't doing that who

  • 1:12

never do the first black art you see what's on the nails you don't think the walls getting the same tree well it's different it's different at home it's

  • 1:19

different at home like you can manicure your nails but can you manicure the living room wall I don't know yes what

  • 1:25

type of sheetrock you have yeah yeah yeah to hang things but man and I'm looking at it this is some exclusive

  • 1:30

Muhammad Ali aren't here that you have from Muhammad himself no drew oh wait

  • 1:37

hold on are you guys related now that I think about it wait are you alright we knew you was

  • 1:44

rock Rockefeller royalty with the family are you related to Cassius Clay yeah

  • 1:49

can you introduce us to Layla no got it

  • 1:55

    can't it won't can't and won't more you're still doing the do-rag thing in

  • 2:00

the house bike you still trying to get wavy no are you waving your do-rag is for the house so you're not trying to

  • 2:06

get waves no oke my hands baby is braised right now oh I forgot to keep the brace I forgot I haven't seen God I

  • 2:12

got a guy well how you doing how's every word man good Adam I had a rough week

  • 2:18

last week with the in the house thing I think I'm getting to that acceptance phase in rough week out gotcha I just I

  • 2:25

was getting tired being house really starting to get to me I was really bothered by it spacing I was just

  • 2:31

running out of [ __ ] to do and then I started do things to make myself feel productive and they weren't productive I was just doing [ __ ] which [ __ ] with you

  • 2:39

like when you're just trying to get [ __ ] done that don't matter see I feel like that's the stuff that probably needs to be shared more cuz

  • 2:45

there's probably a bunch of people out there feeling exactly like you yeah cuz when you go from being very productive

  • 2:51

and busy and I know we make the jokes the booked and busy shipping when you go from that schedule to literally sit your

  • 2:56

ass down it's a odd transition and now you're just walking around the house trying to find [ __ ] to do that is

  • 3:02

meaningless and and and that and that brought you down some yes it was the

  • 3:08

first few weeks of quarantine I was doing I I was doing fine there was a bunch of shows I didn't catch up on like I was catching up on house [ __ ] but once

  • 3:15

the house [ __ ] was done last week I was like alright I'm done with the [ __ ] like I really need to get out out of this

  • 3:20

[ __ ] house have any of you experienced this as well during this quarantine mmm not really

  • 3:26

but for me I would always be been in the house isn't new you know I mean I've actually learned things about me like I

  • 3:32

realized that I don't really need to eat as much as I used to so I think when we

  • 3:38

was going now we used to just stop a bunch of different places and grab she did this because we were needing

  • 3:43

something to do like where you didn't house I eat twice a day maybe you didn't know that you were you were attempting to be mixed see all these years not

  • 3:50

attempting but I think that if usually if you're somewhere and you tell me you'll meet me over here

  • 3:55

and I go there you play yo you gotta try these and it's like okay so I'll try those but it's like no he's right I would really die but I eat twice a day

  • 4:02

like literally you're saying he's right but both of you are food mixi for sure yeah good for ya I'm pull-up for sure

  • 4:11

okay I prefer at this point in my life food mixi rather than loud yeah I don't

  • 4:17

care or club where I can't even hear what people are saying I would love to just be at a table and eat food and be

  • 4:23

able to hear you I'm Petula yeah no I'm definitely I'm in the mixer out flow Dixie yeah that's why I like dive bars

  • 4:30

cuz you can hear people for the most part like I like to be when I'm out and interacting with people I want to be

  • 4:36

around I'd like to hear them yeah Devin Bon Jovi yeah I'm with the dark bars no

  • 4:41

I don't want to hear people when I'm out with them I got down and out a little

  • 4:49

bit during the quarantine but for different reasons oh I think probably week three or four I

  • 4:56

came to the realization and nothing we do in real life matters words you're not

  • 5:02

wrong at all no it's work quarantine is definitely shown what matters and what does it the bars the club's the girls

  • 5:09

everything that we spend time on making money fucking-a not talking my family I'm

  • 5:16

booking busy over here I'm getting it none of it [ __ ] matters I've realized that money doesn't matter at all like

  • 5:24

yeah look at some of the things that are like I was looking I was just randomly looking at like fly even though I'm not

  • 5:29

going away I was looking at flights and some devices I was like so you can fly I can fly to like LA right now for like

  • 5:37

$200 easily roundtrip like like Nadia I'm not doing my residency like if this

  • 5:42

is I might get business class right eggs are oh yeah all is Israel s mall is a

  • 5:50

hero so and it's like why why now is it is why are we getting like half the plane my wad and why's it like half

  • 5:57

price now like just the value of money is just it doesn't matter money doesn't matter and the value of life is lower

  • 6:04

than that Yeah right what ask the thing about them keeping the airports open like and and they're talking about

  • 6:11

a Cuomo and Trump were supposed to meet up yesterday we were recording so I

  • 6:17

don't know what happened in that meeting but yeah they're talking about reopening [ __ ] but I saw Georgia is opening up

  • 6:25

yeah but George you know Georgia don't count us but the governor of Georgia wants to open [ __ ] up and it's talking

  • 6:30

about slowly opening things up but the mayor of Georgia is telling everybody to stay inside the house that black lady

  • 6:36

doesn't like you telling everybody we should look her name up Barrett the mayor of Atlanta not the mayor of Turks

  • 6:41

I mean what am I saying Georgia did the mayor of Georgian forces the black lady

  • 6:47

I like the mayor of Atlanta she's telling everybody I'm on lick her name uh please she's basically saying thank

  • 6:54

you same thing thank you save on she's basically telling everybody you know the governor is saying this but don't listen

  • 6:59

at you they want to kill you well Atlanta itself is affected way more than

  • 7:04

rural Georgia that maybe the governor's focusing on instead of metro Atlanta where people are in much closer

  • 7:11

proximity of each other that's gonna be it that's gonna be a lot of dates in New York - like upstate New York is not New

  • 7:17

York City you know I'm saying it's very yeah and and I totally you know cuz I I watched I try to watch all news

  • 7:24

programming even though it's all [ __ ] I try to get every perspective of [ __ ] so when I watched Fox and

  • 7:31

they're sitting here saying well no one in South Dakota has stopped working and everything's open it's like - well you

  • 7:37

are recording this in New York stop being so [ __ ] one-sided to get your point across yes of course

  • 7:44

it's gonna open up differently for everyone in the country but we need to be mindful of the places that it affects

  • 7:51

the most right so yeah if it's open in Georgia we've seen how this spread from one person in China to the entire world

  • 7:58

it could go from Georgia in New York and vice versa pretty easily yeah I think

  • 8:04

people anybody does what just rushing to go outside right now is just stupid even

  • 8:10

if they yeah it's just that simple if they opened up side to the outside up today I'm still staying inside for

  • 8:16

another two weeks yeah weeks know about that that's that's another thing that is been

  • 8:22

reinforced to me during his quarantine humans are stupid very very much so like

  • 8:27

for us to expect more might be ignorant on on our part but some of the behavior

  • 8:33

I'm saying like I like more time I like people just going outside people just being uninformed and Brooklyn it had a

  • 8:40

whole party in a barber shop where the cops had a son to braid and I'm looking at him like family hope nobody starts

  • 8:47

talking about a you guys are targeting the impoverished neighborhoods like parmi no they shouldn't be the

  • 8:54

barbershop partying this is not this is not a black-white thing right now even if the but even if we weren't on

  • 8:59

quarantine you shouldn't be in a bar party yeah and I'm talking about why

  • 9:08

while we're on the the beauty care place is opening up cuz they did say that that

  • 9:13

would be first like the barber shops and that's the first that's one of the first things that told me that that's not one of the ten things that told me they

  • 9:20

don't give a [ __ ] about us the barber shops where they do nothing but talk spit on you the closest you are to

  • 9:28

another man's face and hand dick on your elbow like it's mad free flagrant [ __ ]

  • 9:34

that goes on in the barber shop and as much as we trust our barbers I love that throwing alcohol on the razor after you

  • 9:41

just cut 15 dudes today it's not the cleanest thing in the world yeah those are those Clippers are not that clean

  • 9:47

I'm not going nowhere near barber shop whatever is happening on my face right now I'm keeping it I'll shave the top everything I've done I've done myself I

  • 9:54

don't think I be I don't need to be grown trying to one-up you I'll be honest I'm judging some of you people out there to just have this need to just

  • 10:00

be groomed and beautiful with your lashes and your less [ __ ] like be

  • 10:05

cool why aren't I cool my whole world is closed what Joe you have to rise a lot

  • 10:11

of people specifically on social media where you're seeing this their entire life is centered around how they look

  • 10:17

that's how they received their income that's how they move with their lives on how they look well appeared in that

  • 10:25

though a lot of people were just insecure and I don't know and I'm not i never base my opinion solely off of the

  • 10:31

internet every morning i step aside I see people jogging some rather close

  • 10:37

to each other some without facemask and I totally understand a need to for a fresh daily natural light just to be

  • 10:45

outside I understand what that does to one psyche however you [ __ ] is running around trying to get healthy how we

  • 10:52

dropping dead no I mean it's a time in a place I think your [ __ ] ass down for

  • 10:59

months no four month I think there's ways running plays yeah I think there's waste too if you live in

  • 11:04

an area where you can jog please talk crazy yes yeah right listen but I think that

  • 11:16

little trail back there Joe is safe though that's that's that's not a lot of people it's outdoors people aren't the

  • 11:22

enemy right now mall it's an invisible enemy yeah but what I'm people are carrying on enemy it's it's still some

  • 11:29

distance though with wood running back there it's not like a crowded space all

  • 11:34

right well y'all have a blessed my I'm speaking from the perspective of everyday somebody I know knows somebody

  • 11:42

who dropped dead right yeah and they don't know I'm all agent people of all

  • 11:48

ages people that were of of great health people who were yeah they're dropping

  • 11:54

like flies well I'm not a physician rest in peace daddy's dead he just lost his dad yes yeah rest in peace of peace

  • 12:02

I think I said rest in peace - Randy last week one of my pops pinochle pinochle partners mmm people are going

  • 12:09

yeah people are going man I just wouldn't be the time for me to start jogging around talking about oh I gotta trim this stomach down no some people do

  • 12:16

it from it's gotta burn these calories off some some people use exercise yeah bunny have fun I know I'm just letting

  • 12:22

you know that now all people are like oh this good I gotta get it to know some people mentally do whatever works best

  • 12:28

for you the judge with the idea of justice health in mind yes now is not

  • 12:35

the time to be selfish yes exactly and I haven't seen any doctors say this yet

  • 12:40

but I do see everyone on the news and even like elected officials say this of

  • 12:46

when they're gonna start opening mass places that will take people's temperatures and I'm not a physician but

  • 12:54

that makes zero logical sense to me I'm not letting this go nothing in me wait

  • 13:00

so you're gonna sit with a thermometer as if it's not hard enough to get into any type of venue sporting event or

  • 13:05

large group advert you're gonna take their temperatures and then what if it's

  • 13:10

high go home yeah and what all right so what if you don't have the symptoms cuz

  • 13:16

I've seen actual doctors say plenty people can be carriers and not have any symptoms at all more than more than the

  • 13:22

people that have the symptoms from what they've been saying so what the [ __ ] is sticking a thermometer in my mouth before a Yankee game gonna do what what

  • 13:31

the [ __ ] are you talking about ah no fair you you only watch you only watch this Yankee game I don't need to see no

  • 13:36

sport that bad to it when I get worried they're putting something in my mouth like I'm gonna fam I'll stay in the living room yeah

  • 13:42

now y'all like going to them games y'all do I love you that's your thing if now I have to get it thermometer in my mouth

  • 13:47

to get in there sorry yeah a rod is talking about buying them mints I saw

  • 13:55

that mm-hmm what do you think react what are they going for the [ __ ] do I know

  • 14:01

I'm broke I think I know the price of the mitts off and ya know I thought

  • 14:09

maybe the article had said no no no no what auto I saw it on the news I'm in jail no I just that can't be a cheap

  • 14:14

franchise it's in New York City oh yeah him and JLo combined they got it no I

  • 14:20

don't know they're raising their raising they're raising the capital with a JP Morgan guys yeah I don't think they

  • 14:26

would be sole proprietor I didn't think they would either plan I just was curious what what the splits were there

  • 14:33

all right come on man let's get to the shits shout out to our Spotify listenership shout out to our YouTube

  • 14:38

viewers [ __ ] shout out to our first and last time listeners shout out to all the ladies listening we love y'all we need y'all thank you

  • 14:45

love your shout head head nod to the [ __ ] ear see y'all thank you for all

  • 14:54

right so let's get right to it yeah Eddie versus face Saturday night Saturday night part 1 you

  • 15:01

look 1 let's start it now before I want to preface this entire conversation with

  • 15:07

I don't want to talk about this [ __ ] for our no and we don't need to and to

  • 15:13

battle wait for an hour I want to tell some of the new listeners out there

  • 15:18

because I'm tired of being attacked this way on on for sharing my thoughts and

  • 15:23

opinions on my platform I and I think I'll speak for all of us when I say this just to be safe we are not authorities

  • 15:31

on anything no like I'm seeing too many too many statements that read like why

  • 15:38

does Joel feel like he's an authority to XYZ I'm not I'm not but I got ears and I

  • 15:46

got an opinion and I got a pod so guess what goddammit hold up gunshots on that

  • 15:54

gunshot sounds a little nuts alright who won Saturday wrap-up battle number one who do you got what are your

  • 16:01

thoughts let's start with Rory come on roars well the Saturday was a tough one

  • 16:07

I couldn't lie to unpack couldn't really tell who won that first round is there

  • 16:14

isn't even fair to speak about who won on Saturday no I don't think it's really

  • 16:19

a no no we know every we can have okay you can have one on Saturday we know who was headed to a victory on Saturday it

  • 16:26

may have been better that there were technical difficulties oh and we got a classic night out of it the dude in the

  • 16:32

bed the background dancer once a turd a brie on Brad called brie on a backup

  • 16:38

dancer I don't know I know the internet did but what's his role what is his role

  • 16:45

today I'm not sure what's why was he there we're not sure we're asking I don't know why why Breann was here oh I

  • 16:52

thought maybe was Teddy's man I know I know Bria Breanna used to work for Sony or

  • 16:59

happy in our epic now yeah I gotcha okay right yeah so and a part-time dancer he

  • 17:07

was smoking he was what I know when I watched it on Teddy's website it looked great and Saturday audio was

  • 17:14

Korean he was killing it that's why I felt bad that the internet was killing him because I'm sure the audio sounded

  • 17:20

impeccable and that Romi was in and on his website when the clip came out of where they were really recording the

  • 17:25

audio from uh she looks phenomenal it was amazing yes true and listen if you gonna stand there with the stone

  • 17:31

face during a new jack swing set like

  • 17:37

yes I wasn't really judging him for that but you know Saturday night was one of the best nights of my life it was it was

  • 17:45

a perfect example of the internet making the best of any situation that's thrown their way yeah but if the older gentleman if the

  • 17:53

older gentleman have a hard time understanding how insta live works imagine their faces when they learn how

  • 18:00

we act on the Internet yeah and after they've been praised as

  • 18:05

legends and gods their entire career now they're the butt of every joke on of us

  • 18:12

that we're laughing at Teddy Riley are accomplished enough to laugh it's Eddie

  • 18:18

Riley put out one single Teddy Riley

  • 18:23

could fart over some drums and it'll probably sell more than the rest of us

  • 18:29

that were laughing at him but in an hour that was our moment though that was our

  • 18:34

moment to shine and that was our time to shine that was our time we can't we can't play no records with Teddy Riley

  • 18:39

know so it's like I so we gonna make fun of you not being able to figure out your audio like I got records there's a thing

  • 18:47

Teddy which we can't hear I can plug up my beats pill I'm not a quote in uh my

  • 18:56

ig lie yeah I didn't make a rump shaker but I know my Wi-Fi password yeah that was our moment now there were parks why was that audio

  • 19:04

like that I think yeah - what's going on I think he was trying to run probably through OBS or something like that he

  • 19:10

was trying to run streams to both his site anything Rams yeah Instagram at the same time and just causing a feedback

  • 19:16

loop if I had to guess I continued to say I thought that I thought it could have been less is more I thought it

  • 19:22

could have been him just sitting his phone down cuz I experienced that when I my phone down sometimes like it was so

  • 19:27

much and I was part of why I was laughing was yo the whole music business is in here and we can't fix this right

  • 19:35

well no the thing that needs to happen in these in these situations is you got to just troubleshoot people are

  • 19:41

troubleshooting quick enough like dead all the other [ __ ] that's happening and just leave the phone or iPad or whatever

  • 19:47

up and let's start from there our shoe Swizz and Timberland some bill I am told that they did do a sound check before

  • 19:54

the first battle yeah I believe that the problem was I think I think it was coming from baby faces in because we

  • 20:01

only got that delay so it may have been like a speakerphone or something like

  • 20:06

the mic or his earpiece was too close to the to the speaker it was too loud to

  • 20:11

where it was we was actually getting a few even if it was baby face it wasn't baby face right well yeah I understand

  • 20:17

that to it I think that was the we gonna do so Chuck you got to do it like so they gotta make like a burner or Cal or

  • 20:22

supplement properly yeah there's no way to soundcheck without everybody jumpin I think that's what they did from my understanding oh really cuz you

  • 20:28

can't soundcheck one side exactly it's gonna sound amazing when it's one person okay I mean for how IG Live is now it

  • 20:35

can only handle so much output like the smaller the speaker I feel like the better yeah yeah to a degree because

  • 20:43

you're still using an audio on your phone so yeah right listen now once you start blowing out that mic it pause it

  • 20:50

it makes it sound worse yeah he presses it oh speaking of things being small or

  • 20:58

sounding small and listen I'm gonna just give you guys an advanced warning here I'm about to be so disrespectful to

  • 21:05

hip-hop and I would love you all to join me mmm I'm not on board yet but let's have

  • 21:11

no ego I know we I know where he's going to yeah I agree are you about to dis the show I'm scared

  • 21:19

    [Music]

  • 21:26

    not you it's still that [ __ ] you're not

  • 21:34

about to distil show right now no I still that [ __ ] I'm not pulling out in a baby-faced battle but there's still that

  • 21:40

[ __ ] no okay so with John actually is

  • 21:46

should you open up with that record in a battle against babyface I think it's

  • 21:54

good open the record it feels like opening record oh you two reason frame loss shut up [Laughter]

  • 22:03

only because the one that we're go ahead more we can I don't I just don't think that he should have went with this show

  • 22:09

out it I get it for the performance wise like he was trying to do the first night he was

  • 22:15

trying to perform and put on the show that would make sense in that but you're talking about babyface who was like you

  • 22:22

know one of the greatest songwriters of real R&B music and this is more of this

  • 22:27

is a hip-hop record this is like I get it understand you know sir it's a classic hip-hop record we can't talk

  • 22:34

hip-hop and the performance of hip-hop songs without mentioning this diss record but this was a this was not the

  • 22:42

record to open up with and as he you know this last night well Monday night he changed all of that around that but

  • 22:48

that wasn't his opening record yeah but wait a minute now actually those babyface had a plan and

  • 22:54

he stuck to that plan cuz when Teddy didn't play the show to open up in the second battle he saved it for the middle

  • 23:01

or early on guess what came on from babyface the same [ __ ] record and that's two occasions the deal deal with

  • 23:08

it I'm not abandoning my plan I was up six nothing on you right I would have

  • 23:14

liked the show first not in the middle like because when you're doing these battles you have to understand even if

  • 23:19

you're going first or second there's still gonna be a record afterwards that's gonna be response no matter what yeah if I'm playing the show I have to

  • 23:25

think what babyface is gonna reply to and I'm not playing the show nor am i playing the show in the middle of the battle I play in the beginning it's a

  • 23:31

cool intro record show you I did I have ranged I did other genres but that's why I feel like it's a good intro

  • 23:37

because you don't want to clean it I don't mind I don't mind the intro the middle of the battle none let me ask let

  • 23:43

me just check Parks's objectivity really quickly sharks who want who wins that

  • 23:48

round between the show and two occasions

  • 24:00

take a breath barks yeah parks you could just answer this one buddy yeah no wise show men and AG will still

  • 24:06

let you come to the Bronx and hang out well Alania don't come I think I like

  • 24:13

the show better awesome what that's not what I asked you I asked you what you like better

  • 24:18

oh so you pick you pick that one to win the show yeah got it got it got it got

  • 24:24

it got it do you think the majority of people agreed with that one I think it depends

  • 24:29

on who you're asking well the million plus that was in that

  • 24:35

og live yeah this is how do you think how do you think they scored that round yeah interviewing or Mannie Fresh Scott

  • 24:42

Storch question yeah and I think it to pay it like for all the old heads that wanted us here it's like slow jail R&B

  • 24:48

kind of stuff they're gonna go with babyface like Joe right no no hello

  • 24:56

everybody relax I'm not gonna let y'all pay me like that because for two weeks leading up to this battle you I was

  • 25:02

running around town saying that's the thing what the [ __ ] is babyface gonna do when the show comes on what are you

  • 25:09

gonna do I didn't know I didn't even I did he did it twice Asians look at look

  • 25:14

at the double entendre game you be clear

  • 25:23

I think babyface won the battle both times I don't um

  • 25:30

I don't count Saturday at all yes but yes I I have to mention Saturday but

  • 25:35

Saturday was like the weigh-in yeah but the way but the way it made a lot of us change our pick oh you quit soon so as soon as Teddy

  • 25:43

Riley step on that scale was like a low lighten ass like masks they do your measurements

  • 25:54

right on your reach no bars go ahead what use about to say I think I said on this podcast that baby face a want to

  • 26:00

play with though well we all said I mean no no no I think we all we all said that later but listen listen let me let me

  • 26:06

get back to my prediction before this battle started and I was talking them all about it part of the reason that I I was rooting

  • 26:13

for Teddy outside of he's the [ __ ] man is he's from hip-hop yeah sure so as

  • 26:20

a hip-hop guy I got a root for the hip-hop guy against R&B but man babyface

  • 26:27

just made hip hop seems so small after all of these iconic records after the

  • 26:33

show I mean I said cuz I'm on Saturday after the show like babyface was just that was cute yeah that was a cute

  • 26:41

little tune oh I don't know that one the

  • 26:48

name of that little I thought that was dougie that did that one yeah yeah you

  • 26:55

know you don't even call him dougie you call him something else like his roomie not that Terence did that yeah nothing

  • 27:02

happened to do a dog and then Teddy tried I saw Teddy try to bait a babyface

  • 27:08

to play a whole verse whole record but he played Teddy played his whole record

  • 27:13

Teddy was what was the name of that tune that was that from Beyonce's husband in

  • 27:20

the second battle yeah we play cities month why the hell did Teddy Riley play the city is my more let me ask our

  • 27:25

rockefeller Brevard um well did it was a good record I'm gonna shut up more I

  • 27:31

love that record I'm not playing that the battle let's say yes they don't play the show against babyface that's how I

  • 27:38

feel about the foxy record with black street I felt the same way mom like why would you put that in black that got a

  • 27:43

pretty good reaction well that's the classic records no pull a good record so the city is mine is a good record no no

  • 27:49

wonder it's a classic more don't do that come on okay now must be objected he was playing good records is all I'm saying

  • 27:55

that was today's Kenny Edmonds I understand and that's why I said he

  • 28:00

shouldn't have started with the show Saturday because I feel the same way y'all fill this show is a great record

  • 28:05

but you're sitting you're battling against babyface like it's just

  • 28:10

different let's just let's just go let's go through it together okay cuz I were to play groove me instead of the city is

  • 28:17

mine let's go through this together real quick just cuz I don't want to stay here all day right here as WV versus Tony

  • 28:26

loves you too brought you home how to just court we looking at right here SWV

  • 28:32

the first record of the second battle versus God loves you two brought you home toni braxton how do I have it totally uh my age plays if like that's

  • 28:42

the right region or you told my bigger more impactful records it's obviously

  • 28:48

the Toni Braxton record yeah that was all one to me I love you all but I still

  • 28:53

gave it as I took me balls right but let's go get me it's on love shoulda

  • 28:59

brought you home is on probably to what the biggest movie soundtrack ever well top three one of yeah like I mean so

  • 29:07

obviously if we're talking like that now grew obviously Teddy Riley's gonna have more joints that make you want to you

  • 29:14

know mean dance a little bit like well that's why I like to open up with a little dance move yeah that's why that's

  • 29:19

why Saturday while I don't easily went to babyface cuz we couldn't hear him and you need to hear Teddy Riley ship because it it's a Bop see that's why I

  • 29:26

like sometimes Mallen Rorion parks you guys to get to the club come on Monty

  • 29:31

and recording right now Marnie doing my podcast got a call you in two hours by

  • 29:38

um that's why sometimes I like to get to the club before midnight to hear the DJ

  • 29:44

before the real DJ cuz he gonna be playing [ __ ] like that when you could come in and get you to step on like to

  • 29:50

enter that way yeah right make it last forever keith sweat versus babyface as

  • 29:56

soon as i get as soon as I get home this was one of the toughest rounds not for me really this was one of the toughest

  • 30:02

tinyface though I gave it right to face I gave Dave the right to make it last

  • 30:09

forever is one of them joints but as soon as I get home my mom that was a really close either off of me but

  • 30:15

and so as soon as I don't soon as I get home your mom wanted to [ __ ] babyface yeah so she never loved the cat yeah the

  • 30:24

one on records it's cool uh third round third round third rounds go through this quick this was a this was the whispers

  • 30:32

easily Jonny Kim was a jam but the whispers rock steady come on now no Johnny that's the way to write oh yeah

  • 30:39

unbelief driving continue dude I think you save on check to see if Johnny can't passed away that sounds horrible to say

  • 30:45

over this thing it does especially his listener yeah he passed away in of 2015

  • 30:52

exactly yeah we talked about it that's why I remember I was real [ __ ] up about that uh yeah I gave that defense

  • 30:59

it was almost almost five years to the day come on Joe elephant memory um every every time I

  • 31:07

close my eyes baby face I thought that that was a winnable round but he played Foxy Brown I gave it to foxy [ __ ] it man

  • 31:16

that's a record man I'm not this battle I saw Michael Paul going a club in

  • 31:21

Columbia South Carolina and sing the words to a girl even though it was a girl rapping yo get me home it was a jam

  • 31:29

yeah I gave it I gave it to foxy give me home piece of my love guy ready or not after seven sorry uh sorry uh guy sorry

  • 31:37

guy sorry guy ready or not is the one every little step' Bobby Brown I like the way

  • 31:43

high five this was the toughest round for me I gave too high five Bobby I'm glad IV for sure Bobby over high

  • 31:50

five yeah yeah almost surely crack rocks but that's fine I want her keep sweat can we talk to

  • 31:57

Evan can we say sorry can we talk sorry sorry key feet name's Keith

  • 32:03

I like guy the way you love me Karen white now this is the round way I thought babyface implemented our

  • 32:08

strategy he in no way on God's green earth thought that Karen white the way

  • 32:14

that you love me and that's a joint was beating that guy record he uh he succeeded well for those that

  • 32:21

we were talking about was it off-mike about the strategy sometimes I'm gonna just give you around I can't do that so

  • 32:26

no we said that I'm not gonna play my dope this record again she had dope is ready a babyface conceded that that round um

  • 32:32

but the karat white record is about them that is hollow yeah but it's not being a big record yeah but it but I like is

  • 32:39

obviously the best [ __ ] show Dougie fresh versus two occasions I had been always could be skipped over no good Oh

  • 32:45

heavy Dean the boys oh is it good to you Heavy D versus I'm ready to seven camera anytime seven Campbell comes on as a

  • 32:50

point and it's I'm ready yeah I'm ready and can't we talk what are we doing it was great to hear have you Dean's

  • 32:56

battled that against ya know uh is it

  • 33:01

good to you or I'm ready I mean again is it good to yourself yeah almost such a

  • 33:07

jam no don't waste our time like that was in juice that's I mean that's when Q okay you know there's so many memories

  • 33:13

that come back when you get that right I know you wasn't juice but the better record Thank you Thank You More let's

  • 33:19

see two occasions the show you already know how we feel except for parks city is mine versus rock with your Bobby

  • 33:24

Brown mauled through his Rockefeller chain in the garbage that was the moment right you can't beat rock with you

  • 33:33

alright even ho was sitting there like huh yeah then this is another one

  • 33:38

questionable song choices from Teddy with in the closet Michael Jackson versus on our own Bobby Brown sorry Mike

  • 33:45

yes sorry I didn't think that was a debatable around in Teddy's defense he was probably saving that he was saving

  • 33:52

the haymakers but he never got to get them off you can't wave makers against a haymaker maker

  • 33:57

yeah yeah well little guy makes his a Heyman with a couple boys dimension he

  • 34:02

can't throw a haymaker with Toni Braxton record out the gate that's one of the biggest records yeah man play his other boys two men hit

  • 34:10

before before I let you go black street versus a live performance where babyface

  • 34:16

just reached over and grabbed a guitar and started singing and then all of our moms wanted to highlight babyface again

  • 34:22

you know you gotta go with wood uh when can I see you I went with black Street

  • 34:28

really that one face yeah y'all y'all up here y'all had a little bit guitar too

  • 34:34

yeah I think you're always caught I think you're always caught up in the moment cuz I was so I was met I was mesmerized I thought he was just playing

  • 34:40

the guitar for me to you guys Joe but

  • 34:51

before I let you go black Street y'all better do black screen that round yeah come on come on come on

  • 34:57

wait is that when you play the guitar cuz whip appeal came before you did the guitar [ __ ] Wow my memory of what I have

  • 35:04

here anyway we need it was I had babyface losing that one to whip appeal versus less chill really 1,000% let us a

  • 35:13

debatable it I love whip appeal it is debatable but let's chill is like our

  • 35:19

arm B song like hip-hop R&B song I gotta go with let's chill that round we have to go will that's chill I just love deep

  • 35:26

black Street oh you're not even trying to win versus my my my Johnny Gill yeah God and I love deep

  • 35:32

I love deep that's one of my joy love every song I'll get you Ari I don't need to qualify that but no it's not beating

  • 35:37

Johnny Gill my red light special verses I get lonely remix Janet Jackson it what

  • 35:42

if I was if I if I were on the fence here which I was not there wasn't a fence in sight no at the end of the

  • 35:50

record was in withdrawn policy around us when at the end of the record when baby

  • 35:57

faces uh you did dad because I I know that I know the people

  • 36:03

that did that you'd yeah did you do that that was just oh this is a remix

  • 36:09

oh I didn't know we could do I know we were playing remixes but I don't mind I don't

  • 36:14

to remixes you peasant you know I don't do those what is that was that thing

  • 36:20

that that puffy guy created me am i five records Canon come on look at me fired over my songs are too great to even be

  • 36:28

remixed yeah no yeah babyface shade was [ __ ] Ally

  • 36:34

let's pause realize how much personality

  • 36:39

and character that babyface at cuz I'm cool with it yeah like this this was the most I've

  • 36:45

ever seen like he made a whole song called this is for the cool on you know but I'm just saying like he was he had

  • 36:51

sarcasm he was funny he was he's a right like I didn't think babyface was how do you gotten all this [ __ ] well no I get

  • 36:59

it now it makes sense I didn't know it either by the way we never saw that we seen him in this light but a lot of

  • 37:06

these battles and outside of the obvious I'm not making a Sean Garrett joke like hit boy I didn't know was so funny tonight boy uh Boy Wonder I didn't know

  • 37:13

was so funny he was super sarcastic and hilarious the entire time I've seen a lot of personality in these battles that

  • 37:18

I didn't miss president had this much person but this is a good time to bring up a conversation I've been having in

  • 37:24

passing with a few different people some good friends and some women who had a hard time understanding what I was

  • 37:30

trying to say but some people get it babyface I don't want to use the word

  • 37:36

son because you can't son Teddy Riley no but babyface big broad Teddy Riley in

  • 37:45

both outings repeatedly on a regular and

  • 37:50

it made Teddy's appear smaller than he is that's

  • 37:58

valid now I don't think people why gets to the mat not to me it put things in

  • 38:06

the first before going into this battle it was oh that's Teddy nobody's beating Teddy and that's babyface

  • 38:12

he could be Teddy but both of them of those dudes but when you see somebody

  • 38:17

get little broad well he kept calling a big row to well that's because they

  • 38:22

really have a relationship yeah and that's fine but not when big bro is trying to low

  • 38:27

bro you yeah I don't know if I make I'm no I don't know if I'm if I'm copping to that like if that was my same beef in uh

  • 38:34

in the preamble preme and he's not nobody's lil bro oh god no just had so much respect for

  • 38:40

his opponent cuz they're all friends for real [ __ ] that yeah but I mean you have

  • 38:47

to have respect for you know your opponent not on that fence our know but you have it internally I don't have too

  • 38:54

big you up every time you play a snare yeah bro that was my favorite snare when

  • 38:59

yo your destiny changed the game like no but you can do that when you know what

  • 39:06

you have in your arsenal like you can like baby-faced he was doing that and then he was giving us stories behind

  • 39:12

certain records like when he's told Michael Jackson and him wanting to take

  • 39:17

Holly on a date like all of that was just like setting up like just amazing

  • 39:23

records like fam I have about 35 more number-one records that I haven't played yet super one is Karen white versus Jam

  • 39:30

Michael Jackson Jeff Jim obviously that's not obvious that was a easy point

  • 39:35

for Karen white to me oh no what that was a step was a super easy point Karen white Jam

  • 39:41

no superwoman not over Jim I love superwoman but Jam wasn't one of those

  • 39:48

jams no it wasn't it was Jeff was a Jim what are you talking about I'm telling you where it was a tip no it wasn't yes

  • 39:55

yes it was it was a single it's not one of the Mike record it's not what I'm I'm

  • 40:00

Mike so yes it's a Jim but no it's not one of them like all right personally it

  • 40:05

is alright well I scored that that one for Cameron rather easily I didn't even have to think twice about it

  • 40:10

mmm-hmm um what else do we have here you're making me high vs rump shaker

  • 40:16

Tony that's Tony yeah that's Tony let me see let's go to I'll make love to you

  • 40:22

boys to men we didn't hear Teddy's record uh yeah baby-faced one two interlude yeah that's part of the battle

  • 40:30

okay he just started throwing joints so he threw the number he threw a song out there one like record of the year he

  • 40:36

said I can't play this cuz it's my white record but [ __ ] it I'll play a guitar song it just happens to be song deity hey what do you want to grab

  • 40:42

me so yeah okay is there plated immaculately guitar yeah

  • 40:47

but wait parks that was one of the things that stood out to me when he played the two occasions joint he played

  • 40:54

the live version and it sounds so much better than the original version hmm

  • 40:59

that's impressive in a banjo a sad love song like come on yeah you went Tony

  • 41:06

just doing these joints out late like it's nothing counting on me wait nope no count on me

  • 41:12

into uh he did a medley he ended with count on me yeah no it was count on me

  • 41:19

and it ended with a different Whitney record no it was does Whitney Mariah and uh CC wanna count on me no he did a

  • 41:27

medley he merged two records you're wrong yes and and wouldn't when you believe yes yes yes yes ma'am and it

  • 41:34

sounded like the most beautiful thing in the world count on me into when you believe in F

  • 41:41

the music never stop more that's why you confuse is now different records Oh sonically they go together and one stop

  • 41:49

and the bridge to the next one came on with the last chorus with all the crazy ad-lib tracks going it's like fam

  • 41:56

babyface was way to prepare for this like his records were medleys of the

  • 42:03

record yeah it was all the strongest parts of a record yes man shout-out to

  • 42:09

Teddy Riley I don't shout out to Teddy Riley shout out the babyface they broke the Internet I couldn't get it on my phone had watched a million

  • 42:16

people at one I want something yeah I was watching on the laptop yeah I had to watch on YouTube yeah it was crazy the

  • 42:22

YouTube guy held me down whoever that was I didn't have to touch it at all even with the difficulties that they were having the YouTube guy kind of

  • 42:29

followed all of it but what a night I don't really know how you follow this up shout out to Swiss Timberland puffin Dre

  • 42:37

puffin Dre would have to be the next one that's that's how you following up did you guys see when he went on Teddy's he

  • 42:43

faced I'm Teddy after the battle and said he doesn't know if he wants to do it trace it there right your dredger yeah I

  • 42:49

mean listen and this is something I I wanted to walk back because I think I might have had Dre and that but the good

  • 42:58

thing is I you know you get to we talk about [ __ ] and then I'll get to sit down with listen to music I don't know I

  • 43:05

don't know if Draya is just is is is just getting puffs out of you know I don't think either of them are just

  • 43:11

imagining him out it right yeah I don't I don't but out that's absolutely what ball said that before now yeah but

  • 43:18

listen to today a catalogue now like puff has that's AB a lot of shits a [ __ ] battle like I mean Dre the

  • 43:27

chronic [ __ ] NWA [ __ ] yeah all the way up through Kendrick like yeah but fifty

  • 43:34

puffs got a lot of [ __ ] man he does here's the thing I that's gonna come

  • 43:39

down on who can battle better it's gonna be 20 records it's gonna be selections

  • 43:44

gonna know water battle I pour sponsor say it's gonna come down to hook a battle but I think Paul sleeping Andre

  • 43:51

though man how's competitive mode why would I sleep no I just know that Huff

  • 43:57

is he has been in competitive mode since he was interning yeah so stir up I said

  • 44:03

come yeah I don't know that about Dre Dre wouldn't got some headphones made a quick billion and dipped on your [ __ ]

  • 44:08

with his muscles and has been chasing Marlin in in the Baltic Sea [ __ ] you you

  • 44:18

really forgot about Dre in the night no fun you really no doubt

  • 44:23

you forgot Dre like beating up journalists and doing all types of wild [ __ ] allegedly don't let jumping horse you know I don't

  • 44:32

forget about that he just wasn't a billionaire right it's different now like Dre I see Dre has a baby face on

  • 44:40

Saturday looking in that camera like you guys convinced me to do this I didn't want to do this this was the reason I

  • 44:46

didn't want to do this that's what I can see from I don't think would be

  • 44:55

embarrassed difficulties I'm not talking now this will be the grips about the battle this would be by far the greatest

  • 45:00

battle to be embarrassed um on well good who would speak such

  • 45:05

blast Moll I will not I will not put all of the wrappers on blasts that have text my

  • 45:11

phone it's probably the same one but a bunch of rappers text my phone and said hey you do know that Dre did NWA Snoop

  • 45:20

50 and to chronics word not one two of

  • 45:26

them and Eminem yeah he's not playing him in him in a bell Oh what hi my name hi my name is good often about guilty

  • 45:33

conscience whatever whatever whoever it is that's a win for pass a point for pop I would go back to the battling point

  • 45:39

for my in selection cuz I don't know puff could play something where hi my name is might be the weird response we

  • 45:46

say these things before the battles happen then they happen we're like oh [ __ ] that doesn't make sense umm so I'm not gonna count out hi my

  • 45:51

name is I'm not well you shouldn't count any of any of it just are they wrong 20 songs as well they should do to baby

  • 45:57

yeah I'm sure they would need to do it if they would hi my name is 120 puff has a twenty records that will get that out

  • 46:03

of it puff has a lot more records in it I don't want to sound like we hating on him but the thing that's no I'm just saying that's that you would play harder

  • 46:10

puff wouldn't be my first dre selection I was like guilty conscious before I play hi my name is and I'm you play

  • 46:16

guilty conscious I'm gonna play flavor in your here and that's gonna hitting that one whatever that depends who

  • 46:21

you're talking some Noah don't yes I do no it does not what are you talking to [ __ ] idiots you know everything I say

  • 46:28

is I'm talking to people that know music I'm not just older dog Gucci conscious hear the [ __ ] that was in the middle

  • 46:33

of America buying South Pole for like 20 years and that toddlers people you put South Pole in New Jersey no I didn't I

  • 46:39

screamed on my mom when she won't be the black South Pole off a bubble goose that was reversible yellow on the inside I

  • 46:47

had a grey one yellow reversible mom what up what I'm doing I'm freaking this

  • 46:52

I had a great one I've got two winters out of it and I think Dre might be frontin with that with what he told

  • 46:57

Teddy Riley could be a - not for him yeah I believe I don't Dre's it usually

  • 47:06

uses a unicorn and you know the unicorns don't really uh especially in the end hip-hop R&B because baby faces are R&B

  • 47:13

unicorn I think Teddy Riley is a zombie unicorn as well but in hip-hop the hip-hop unicorns don't

  • 47:20

really we try to they try to keep this a mystique about them like you don't see

  • 47:26

them you don't can't get close to them you can't speak to them unless you speak to 40 other people first like they keep

  • 47:31

this mystique about them and um but that goes back to what I was saying hip hop hip hop artists and hip hop producers or

  • 47:38

producer that come from hip hop is Dre is not just a hip hop producer but we kind of got this uh this sensitive thing

  • 47:46

like yeah we seem to be more in the hip hop culture with more sensitive about and that could be you know coming up

  • 47:51

from the environments that we came up from we had to protect whatever we had with little we had so that that can be a

  • 47:58

way of being sensitive when you share what you have with the world and we feel like people don't appreciate it like you

  • 48:04

get sensitive because again coming from our culture we didn't really have much growing up so I agree that's embedded in

  • 48:10

this I agree with that I also think that some of these icons while they were while they were up and coming and

  • 48:17

cementing their legacy I think a few of them had to do battle with each other

  • 48:22

like and that's why the Teddy Riley babyface bad was so interesting to me because and I'm telling all the stories

  • 48:28

in between about the artists that they work with the same artists that they work with yeah y'all had to battle each

  • 48:34

other they're mentally in real life hell yeah yeah Dre and Paula I kind of

  • 48:40

imagine that same thing to encryption what hip-hop culture though it was it

  • 48:46

direct so what I'm saying is I can't just say that Dre won't be beat or that

  • 48:52

he's too big or that's the mystique exist because of that sibling rivalry type of tension that exists between

  • 48:58

icons like that like I think that babyface ami and more laughs for our Saturday and I say hey we'll never see babyface again

  • 49:05

it's not sure I didn't think he was getting back on that's that's what I was speaking to more about Dre having the

  • 49:11

same face as our own face not in I don't think this is a worthy opponent oh yeah Finn you summoned me out of my studio I

  • 49:18

don't even know I don't even have the app on my phone well now I'm sitting here in front of half a million people trying to watch

  • 49:25

you get your sound together I'm too rich for this well there's no way that they could do that on its

  • 49:31

is impossible well that's a good segue because I mean cuz Dre's music sounds so

  • 49:37

rich every noise in is insane so I would mean I would want to hear that sound

  • 49:42

well that's not to diminish anybody else has done these battles but puff and Dre

  • 49:47

are two of the biggest stars regardless of their position in music they're not

  • 49:52

to the biggest producers they're not two of the biggest execs they're two of the biggest human beings we've ever seen in music episome if we got four million

  • 49:59

from Teddy and babyface who are also huge imagine what the numbers will be for puff and drew just hypothetically

  • 50:05

speaking here juicy versus gin and juice how do you score it juicy but um yeah

  • 50:14

you're answering a phone during the podcast I'm going juicy but that's that's my bias I can't be mad at anyone

  • 50:22

that would say gin and juice I can't get mad at it but I'm going Susie I think juicy is the number one wrap so if you

  • 50:30

were an alien came down and said this is rap music I'm playing juicy yeah so um that's one see that's why I take juicy

  • 50:36

but probably the best wraps all the Volt oh yeah it would be hard but I'm never

  • 50:42

mad if someone said no gin and juice even without hesitating but but you

  • 50:48

would have to I think you would go with juicy and I think the the consensus would be juicy I saw ice talking about a Nicki Minaj's

  • 50:58

catalog and how no no woman wants to see her I had that conversation this weekend

  • 51:03

too I wouldn't be mad at Nicki verse Missy I was gonna say he's completely neglecting

  • 51:08

Missy at that conversation because the original was was Nicki and Kim where the conversation sparked this weekend

  • 51:14

amongst the internet which I think ice was replying to I didn't really like how

  • 51:20

everyone just took Kim offer it took her as the winner took us as the winner of

  • 51:25

what of the Nikki versus Kim versus I

  • 51:31

don't know that against it and that's a that's a good battle I think it's a good battle too but um I don't know if Kim

  • 51:36

wins now I'm taking Nikki I am these are I think a thing they give twenty songs at malls 20 songs you're gonna get two

  • 51:42

points for moms to come yeah I think um Kim Kim got about two or

  • 51:48

two that you can't really reply to Kim got ten joints that's gonna make it hard

  • 51:54

but what's real no no I'm not saying this gonna be even that well I'm taking Nikki just shift we're going to 20 when

  • 51:59

she owned a 20 existence but why he and Kim why not foxy and Kim Kim is one of

  • 52:06

them um what else all right I'm wrapped or Orion Parks I thought this was a good

  • 52:12

segue into us having a real conversation about these vs. battles yeah I think it's about time to hang up the Instagram

  • 52:19

allogram models look you we know you wanna hang those are motherf ER [ __ ] you

  • 52:26

all right hang on what the Instagram being the outlet for these verses yeah Teddy might have been right teddy was

  • 52:33

right from rip always Lloyd Federer win listen if I totally get that we want to

  • 52:40

do this we're all in quarantine this isn't supposed to be a money play this is supposed to be an access play all of us have Instagram it's easy to go to all

  • 52:46

of us have the internet sue but there's no way we can not create a link to another outlet or some type of platform

  • 52:54

that takes an audio much better than Instagram just what just one click of a

  • 52:59

button it can handle capacities especially if we're if we're not trying to do this for money or sponsorship like

  • 53:05

why can't revolt set up something where there's a chat on the side and it's one click on your Twitter and you're now

  • 53:10

watching something with actual audio I love you guys that just get to ask hypothetical questions without attempting to answer them I'm sure

  • 53:17

there's a few reasons why we roll of course I'm sorry I'm starting a conversation I think I think is um I think one of the biggest things is uh

  • 53:24

getting like the real-time responses from the listeners audio is their number

  • 53:30

one thing to me well I was about to ask you what what is a card launch here is it the audio or the community it's Buffy

  • 53:38

you can have both though you can hey yeah I just thought I don't think the Instagram is capable of doing it you can

  • 53:43

definitely have both but it will take or nor does that Instagram care tell me how

  • 53:48

you tell me tell me tell me somewhere that has that it successfully has but I'll say it twitches weatr audio and I

  • 53:55

am video YouTube is and you too might attend and community yeah that's biggest twitch which has a

  • 54:04

huge community not the versus community but I think if you set up you may not

  • 54:10

get your half a million but you're always gonna cut your audience down when it's not the biggest platform we're

  • 54:16

still gonna get the people that want to be there I like you blitz green on YouTube I don't know if there's got to

  • 54:23

    be a way to do it there's gotta be so we don't we don't know [ __ ] no we're talking [ __ ] well

  • 54:28

there's a will there's a way I think twitches is in is an easy solution off rip like that should be the

  • 54:35

number one answer I still think you're gonna people are home corn seen this vs. thing has built up enough I could see

  • 54:40

was the first [ __ ] when it was just whizzing cymbal and they're like you know we should continue this yeah you built it up on a on I G because that's

  • 54:47

where the most people are and now we know the name we know the brand is versus on the bottom all the time it's a versus thing now you take the

  • 54:53

audience where it works best you have the audience now it's here Instagram couldn't handle Teddy and face

  • 55:00

they 100% will not be able to handle Dre guys's puffs no way and it's not just

  • 55:06

ray burst puffing his kids because as soon as Jenna just go off Justin and [ __ ] gonna start dancing it's gonna

  • 55:12

make you feel the way Dre yeah yeah but that's another thing too how many more

  • 55:19

of these do we have left probably nominee mad of them I am I'm not mad of them look I think there's a

  • 55:25

lot more is mad at ease even if Ray J trying to jump in a ring and I was like ah here we go it's about to get crazy no

  • 55:31

no people have been doing that what's all about the vs. we told myself get a versus bro of course trippy red and his friends can do theirs that's fine and

  • 55:38

that's cool if your audience wants to see it I can never hate but we're talk about the vs. brand just because we had Teddy and babyface who are at God level

  • 55:46

and we may have puff and Dre you can still continue it you don't just have to continue God level [ __ ] that's what I'm still a niche audience for people that

  • 55:52

love music and want to see smaller battles yeah but it's what we all just want to see God level like entertainment

  • 55:58

God level me did you enjoy I don't hit boy in the Boy Wonder I thought that was an amazing battle I don't say they're gods yeah that was

  • 56:04

Joseph's that wasn't first that was right but my apology that was cool but it wasn't me [ __ ] more [ __ ]

  • 56:10

anything Jason small [ __ ] sorry no no I'm just saying like I'm thinking about that compared to the the RZA preme and

  • 56:19

then the the John's haenyeo like I'm thinking about all of these all of those it's the Hit Boy Boy Wonder was was more

  • 56:26

these are more probably the next diss generation yeah of dues that's like putting out all of these bombs but I

  • 56:33

feel super stars oh yeah it doesn't it has to be quality people that deserve to

  • 56:38

be in the verses category in that brand that Swizz and Tim had built up I just listened I just think it's done with

  • 56:45

Instagram see what I want to make sure he face points mine didn't mean it he doubled he added to his legend of being

  • 56:53

that dude for me I think but I think that's what this is for I think this is for the people that don't know Joe well

  • 56:59

no but I'd like to speak for some of the people that do my mom was watching this battle like this battle wasn't just for

  • 57:06

us no I understand with the larger audience is because of the people that actually own Instagram oh yeah yeah no

  • 57:13

but I'm only replying to you with the how many more God level type battles are

  • 57:19

there what I'm saying is babyface is that dude and he'd been that dude he's

  • 57:24

alive he's healthy he looks great and I've been running around here all year just not acknowledging how much of that

  • 57:31

dude baby faces that was a great reminder for me I have to tell you I play baby face all weekend like him and

  • 57:37

now another crazy think about that too he puts people on to even smaller video Johnson [ __ ] I'd sure a lot of people

  • 57:44

didn't know everything that either those gentlemen really wrote I had Teddy going women going into this because I thought

  • 57:49

his records were more aggressive and I forgot how like aggressively dope even

  • 57:55

the slow jams were for babyface you know what I'm saying like even though they were slow jams they were still so fired

  • 58:00

they were aggressive in a way yeah I agree so I agree to close this let's close it out Tim and Swizz are extremely

  • 58:08

smart so this is not gonna end once the quarantine ends this is gonna end up being an in person in venue real thing

  • 58:14

eventually in my opinion bottle pixel I think so for sure in venue I think I

  • 58:20

think babyface is not going to any venue to play with records yeah who said baby things I mean I think the

  • 58:27

versus brand especially when festivals are fishing for acts and headliners and can't find ones of affordable magnitude

  • 58:36

with these newer artists overcharging I think Swizz and Tim are a good they red liner something yeah I think the versus

  • 58:42

brand will be in the coat liner with festivals in venues so why not why don't we just leave Instagram now it's gonna

  • 58:48

leave it eventually let's go where there's good audio well they already they already started teasing um

  • 58:54

pay-per-view for this dre and puff things while they're getting I think whenever they charge they're getting for

  • 58:59

me I think the pay-per-view thing I think he was saying that more metaphorically than literally but I

  • 59:05

wouldn't be surprised if it ends up in some sort of network situation I don't see Bluff I don't see puff doing this

  • 59:11

without some type of network involved I don't yeah especially has a network

  • 59:18

that's why would you yeah but puff is a showman man he gonna give this [ __ ] off

  • 59:23

a revolt or not you're on the show man [ __ ] don't work unless we can figure out cuz no matter at the highest point of I

  • 59:30

G so do even if you get it perfect it still doesn't sound great yeah yo [ __ ] are not gonna [ __ ] are

  • 59:36

not just getting puff out here I'm sorry oh I don't know cuz I'm sure if you're speaking to other people no no I'm in my

  • 59:42

head trying to think of the Dre records that are like the ones and puff got

  • 59:48

records that I would be like when you have whenever you play total can't you see it's gonna be a heart out for me uh

  • 59:55

Straight Outta Compton Oh total I'm pumped I'm total that's me I don't know

  • 1:00:02

what that's me I said me me me I know that that's not a popular hip-hop

  • 1:00:07

opinion but I've already learned I've learned that records that mean

  • 1:00:12

everything to me in my hip-hop world can seem very small if you play a record

  • 1:00:18

that's real huge just in my life yeah and total can't you see 96 I was

  • 1:00:24

robbing gas stations and [ __ ] Laurinburg North Carolina yeah yeah I

  • 1:00:30

was I was 11 when you straighter calm came out stealing my brothers cassettes savon can we look up North

  • 1:00:36

Carolina a statute of limitation laws I'm just

  • 1:00:43

saying man no I'm in the minority with that one but total can't you see it's a heart out for me all right some tough ones off straight out of compound Dre

  • 1:00:52

got yourself a stuff yeah I don't even know if you express yourself making that

  • 1:00:57

20 though right yes it is I think [ __ ] Diplo andreas xx lingeries 20 maybe not yeah I think express yourself is was up

  • 1:01:05

I don't want to say bigger record when we talk about NWA but expressions was

  • 1:01:10

the record around I wasn't instead of the police well there's no iconically [ __ ] the public mores pack you a fresh

  • 1:01:18

yourself might have played more capabilities not living in correctional

  • 1:01:27

facility my the impact versus what's just a better record right all right on

  • 1:01:33

that's wig is tricky are you vert I'm verses down I'm verses down part your dear yeah bit

  • 1:01:39

no I don't count it count it off when we start know that we were we recording

  • 1:01:46

right yeah Mic Check Mic Check Mic Check Mic Check Mic Check so what is this the

  • 1:01:51

death anniversary of the greatest musician to ever live in my opinion it is I think yeah that's safe to give me

  • 1:02:00

celebrating the death anniversary but I don't like that reason I'm ready to parse any reason to celebrate princess a

  • 1:02:05

is valid though my opinion same-same that's another thing that the babyface a Teddy Riley battle did for me if I

  • 1:02:13

missed Prince yeah I'm missing I missed Prince I just wanted to hear I wanted to

  • 1:02:18

look at Prince to play some of these records he was nervous yes he was

  • 1:02:23

visiting the only the way this is the only way we could really settle Mike versus Prince it would never happen of

  • 1:02:30

course not Prince would have neither I thought we would never see baby face first Eddie yeah but princes are different you know

  • 1:02:37

how condescending Prince would be during that battle like babyface was he was he

  • 1:02:43

would make baby foot baby face look like the nicest governor I think that if Prince were face to face Matt will

  • 1:02:48

screen to screen with Michael Jackson we would look at Michael Jackson a little different that's my opinion and

  • 1:02:54

I'm biased I'm not objective here I don't know I don't agree think so if Prince and that's not a negative

  • 1:03:01

that's how Prince looked at Mike Oh a cute little dance tune so cute little poppy little poppy synthesized tune you

  • 1:03:08

got this guitar solo yeah Prince would make comments like oh who engineered

  • 1:03:14

that because I engineered mines guitar no I did everything no on mine if you

  • 1:03:21

make a little jokes like that all right well that's cute Oh tell Quincy that's a good one tell Quincy then see that was

  • 1:03:28

good also let him know that I've written and composed 39 of my own it was 39 of

  • 1:03:34

my own albums oh that's that's cute did you know I invented streaming yeah and

  • 1:03:40

there's that and so I was trying to have that battle mentally like in my brain and I don't know what Mike do when the

  • 1:03:47

door come on I'll be honest with you don't do that I'm asking you what does Michael Jackson

  • 1:03:53

do when the door comes on he plays he plays on my place but no no no I know

  • 1:03:59

you guys laughs laughs my ID out of the room but give me the record you can oh you can laugh at me but tell me what

  • 1:04:06

record that's dawn that's tough think oh

  • 1:04:11

that's a joint this thing well I may know who Mike is man in the mirror man

  • 1:04:17

in the mirror to this it's tough yeah that would be my response you better

  • 1:04:23

play man-to-man I don't know who I picking that in there one man in the

  • 1:04:30

mirror is a joint but that's like babyface playing into the road yeah that was a joint but I'm tired of it it's

  • 1:04:36

plain it's just too many school dances yeah yeah I've heard this one at the [ __ ] Assembly too many times

  • 1:04:42

Oh resting pre let rest in peace Prince Rogers Nelson yes [ __ ] yeah

  • 1:04:51

go out real the lady in my life no way she'd no way buddy

  • 1:04:59

no way buddy hey youyou ain't Paul McCartney could kick rocks

  • 1:05:04

Pauline even on their record Paul McCartney's not on that record I just

  • 1:05:10

said that if you think friends will miss Paul McCarthy just for no reason Prince is distant everybody Michael play record

  • 1:05:17

Prince go come in I don't think trey songz should have been allowed to do a tribute of me he's gonna start clapping

  • 1:05:24

it [ __ ] y'all got Prince [ __ ] up man don't let him beat man listen all right

  • 1:05:31

let me cut this off man let me live that's yeah Prince ain't done you said he ain't done I see they're doing a live

  • 1:05:37

tribute to Prince I think it's 6:00 weekend it's tonight I think on CBS look if I read that correctly yeah I don't

  • 1:05:45

understand Prince told us that he hates tributes and we all do tributes that's why if all right if right let's limit

  • 1:05:52

not that I was having not that I would have a tribute but this is why I keep anything that would happen after my

  • 1:05:58

demise to myself cuz people won't respect it all right if I tell you how to do my funeral I promise you

  • 1:06:04

everyone's family is gonna do the funeral that they want for you mmm if I say I want no traditional [ __ ] don't

  • 1:06:11

open bar and a deejay and y'all kick it and let my casket chill in the corner Rory no one will respect it I will never

  • 1:06:17

I will never live if you're a homegoing come and go without J Dilla drums I

  • 1:06:24

appreciate it that means a lot to me for him you just gotta play some of that

  • 1:06:30

every way now don't us needs to go of parks good doughnuts being served I'm coming in with the Bix coming in with

  • 1:06:39

the know well you can't come in you're in already yeah yeah yo don't call me

  • 1:06:46

crazy what y'all call me crazy already but I've been trying to think of a way to freak my funeral appearance okay what

  • 1:06:52

do you have so far do you want to change outfits no I've thought about that I got glass cat eye all I came up with was

  • 1:06:57

glass casket fiberglass that'd be fire I think so look at ya [Laughter]

  • 1:07:08

to me what do you mean when y'all wave II want you see I'll throw that handful of dirt right in my face and I want the

  • 1:07:17

mortician to kind of give me like a smile oh don't dead poker face me like I

  • 1:07:22

want to look I want some out you [ __ ] yeah me here nah man give me my little smirk is some type of way

  • 1:07:29

give me a parish funeral man I want a celebration I don't I don't want the let's all look at an old picture of me

  • 1:08:46

where where we'll Ricky dark yeah that's who when the Japanese surprised the the

  • 1:08:52

American fleet in Hawaii and killed thousands of American troops they saw

  • 1:08:57

that and then said nope we need something else homeboy should try to [ __ ] home we're

  • 1:09:57

outrage well you've been to church I've been melting boycott list for some time to cancel loose it wasn't The Passion of

  • 1:10:03

Christ it was uh him screaming anti-semitic things on voice mails that were resurfaced and and the passion and

  • 1:10:11

maybe that happened before Passion of the Christ or after I was on a mixer I was the roll out I think was a roll I think nothing those came out those were

  • 1:10:17

leaked to like by some wondered like the whole roll out to the movie yeah yo you

  • 1:10:24

know what I've been following now yeah I am a sick King and I'm gonna share this

  • 1:10:30

but only because it's a safe space and I'm not laughing but that'd be kind of

  • 1:10:35

laughing oh boy here we go help you God never you gotta if y'all work early yo

  • 1:10:43

I've been somehow I've been following a whole trail of racist Tik Tok videos

  • 1:10:48

okay did you find more you have to leave

  • 1:10:59

the Bronx but I saw some of the outrage

  • 1:11:06

on Twitter and mind you now on quarantine I have time to just check for way too much [ __ ] fish but it was a

  • 1:11:12

white couple I saw this too I don't even know if there's a couple the white girl it was a couple and a

  • 1:11:18

white girl and man they was [ __ ] on us blacks they were not a fan of working

  • 1:11:25

Americans matter oh wait 6n do we do what they said cuz I'm not gonna tell you true enthusiast

  • 1:11:33

Marcus Mar move for the trainer's of they say something to get your attention so they say some raisin [ __ ] what do

  • 1:11:39

they know that the trend was the pouring god it's nobody to get you here first

  • 1:11:46

okay they get you here with the races headline hit headlines something like

  • 1:11:52

[ __ ] uh I'm talking to all the people

  • 1:11:57

that don't know their dad great now that I have two black men here I didn't know

  • 1:12:05

all of them started there so that one started like that it said some start like that and they said black people then they just started [ __ ] on

  • 1:12:10

blaming off em these kids were like under-21 college kids and that thread

  • 1:12:16

led me to mad little Asian kids being racist oh my oh I'm so tick-tock that's

  • 1:12:22

how they givin it up over there well oh we're too in America yeah I just just

  • 1:12:27

just plug in your video game device and go on the internet but play any video game online yeah no I mean that's all I

  • 1:12:36

got I don't have a tape from this I'm just telling you I've been following racist I got a look in today videos like

  • 1:12:42

agent girl said some slick [ __ ] the next day she was on tip talk with her dad her dad was like fam I didn't raised this

  • 1:12:49

little girl like this she ain't like this and she gotta talk to y'all you put the phone in her face that's how I

  • 1:12:55

imagine myself in that situation you gonna clean this up while I'm sitting next to you yeah that's not I know where

  • 1:13:02

we live that's odd I dread that racism was over no Roy that racism still alive

  • 1:13:09

they just be concealing it says yeah mmm 15 15 years later I'd like to endorse

  • 1:13:16

Donald Trump walking over Trump a hug is

  • 1:13:25

still one of the wildest moments in a lobby sensation afterwards no hugging me

  • 1:13:32

and don't speak that have you really get out of these tax breaks work yeah you start to understand a little bit fair

  • 1:13:38

give him a hug thanks for showing me two ways yeah oh [ __ ] [ __ ] ha no idea I saw

  • 1:13:43

Shake Shack wanted to give back 10 million dollars for the small business loan I mean for small businesses the loan they got from the government

  • 1:13:48

because the long people ran out of money yeah a lot of big companies got pot

  • 1:13:55

bellies whatever Bruce Kris got crazy but that's probably just just to serve Joe stand here waiting for roofers to

  • 1:14:01

open they got the Nervii could be getting money they got 20 million oh come on give me my [ __ ] ribeye yeah

  • 1:14:09

what the answer we're the first place y'all going we know we're allowed to go somewhere I'm gonna be too nervous I'm gonna roof roof not nervous for health

  • 1:14:16

like I'll just be too nervous to make the wrong decision I can't wait go to one of my dive bars I can't wait to eat I can't wait to get jigging roof wrists

  • 1:14:22

like I'm getting dressed I'm getting dressed up to go sit at the bar yeah maybe ocean prom don't you know that it

  • 1:14:31

yeah I got money you know lotion pregnant I don't what's Ocean Park if you do know what I don't think I've been there with him one

  • 1:14:36

ocean prime where that's the seafood version of prime yeah Oh on a block

  • 1:14:42

behind on yes this may come wallets us money in it it's how I was thinking like

  • 1:14:47

yo maybe I'll go to my local Sears boy we finally sit down to eat yeah well you'd be trying to get [ __ ]

  • 1:14:52

even when you're not trying to [ __ ] I'm old you think i'ma go to ocean prime anybody wanna a company in now he's

  • 1:14:59

waiting for that ocean prime i emoji diem although the girls install using words like a company so is right

  • 1:15:14

downtown yeah you never know I've been I didn't know I didn't know that with wonders I'm

  • 1:15:20

oddly you know 52nd all right come on boy you gotta get in this Jordan dock that you've been talking about for weeks

  • 1:15:26

the world has been talking about not just me can I start with the shoe came

  • 1:15:34

on and I said the same [ __ ] I've been saying forever this [ __ ] a dick but why do you say

  • 1:15:40

that though like what did you see them first to ever say he wasn't crazy in the first two I think was just talking Mike

  • 1:15:47

didn't do anything that was crazy with the wit wit make some a dick what did he do not in the first two [ __ ] where's the

  • 1:15:54

explain explain what everybody hated him in the first two episodes yeah in the

  • 1:16:00

first two episodes I mean he was nice so I mean kinda had to rock with nobody

  • 1:16:06

nobody learned that documentary nod makes you feel like he hates they hate Michael Jordan not one person in a

  • 1:16:11

documentary makes you feel like that okay well maybe I was reading between the lines but when I heard when I heard

  • 1:16:16

uh his teammates talking about his style of leadership and how they felt isolated felt like they couldn't really say

  • 1:16:23

anything to him it made me say holy this [ __ ] a dick no it didn't make me say

  • 1:16:28

that this is no it's compare now what it says I mean you got a Mike explained it and even as to even Bill wedington said

  • 1:16:34

it like when he was yelling at them he's like yo V if you couldn't take it he didn't get I get out but that's but Mike

  • 1:16:41

even follow that with if you can't take that if you you can't give your opponent any confidence so you're not willing to

  • 1:16:47

go out here and just be like evil and you know just to not as a person but as

  • 1:16:53

a competitor this is all just competitive [ __ ] it's not like he's away from the court like [ __ ] y'all like no

  • 1:16:59

is while we're here in this gym practicing go hard while we on the court go hard and I don't see what's wrong

  • 1:17:04

with that but that's the problem with today's era like everybody want to be buddy-buddy and play with each other and

  • 1:17:09

play on the same team and let's take vacations together let's do this let's do that like Mike wasn't with that I

  • 1:17:15

don't want to focus on how much of a so I think Michael Jordan is because I do believe that none y'all can say he's gonna change my mind

  • 1:17:21

whatever what a great dog let me ask you and how you feel that way and about your

  • 1:17:27

leadership if mike is a dick I don't

  • 1:17:32

really I don't think Mike is a dick I don't if you think Mike is a dick in his leadership and how he handles the people

  • 1:17:38

around him I would just like to know what some self-reflection from you would be I don't think that you guys would

  • 1:17:45

party okay I don't think you guys would be the correct audience to have that

  • 1:17:52

conversation with because I don't think you guys are really aware of my keen leadership abilities your

  • 1:17:59

    the funkiness to find cool [ __ ] I

  • 1:18:06

personally think I'm a really good leader let me just throw that out there I don't know y'all see this the dance on

  • 1:18:13

your channel but let me pull let me in there first of all your dancing hold up I come to y'all and try to discuss like

  • 1:18:22

really important decisions that have to be made what the [ __ ] out of post you I come to

  • 1:18:31

York with the really influence this is insane there need to be what is it it's a burger you're podcasting well when

  • 1:18:39

when you guys start talking about something I'm gonna take a bite Tamar

  • 1:18:47

Tamar got it got it he's off today I forgot grave thank you bro don't try to

  • 1:18:53

say thank you know that we're questioning your leadership I didn't know y'all were questioning my legacy look no one not you were dancing I asked

  • 1:18:59

you I think I figured I don't leadership is great I don't think Mike is a dick but if we're comparing how people deal

  • 1:19:05

with the people around them I've never Padres how I've never didn't punch anybody did he punch Speaker it was a

  • 1:19:15

love tap yes Steve you're talking crazy and that was my point last week the ball yo if I just get up and punch you in the

  • 1:19:22

face how you think I'm competitive what I like why not really wanna I want to make this clear I'm not comparing you to Michael

  • 1:19:28

Jordan I am just cuz I know your narcissistic brain thanks I'm just thinking yeah you think Mike is a dick

  • 1:19:34

what do you think you are that's my question that you're dancing am i gaining a dick may people just people took that whole he punched one of his

  • 1:19:41

teammates and blew it out of proportion him count even know what y'all talking about if one of the greatest competitors

  • 1:19:46

ever is cursing at their teammates I'm not gonna say oh he's a [ __ ] what

  • 1:19:51

does that mean like people get punched in the face it happens he's competitive he wants them to win like listen that

  • 1:19:58

yet D I want to play hard because they were all nothin when you look at the

  • 1:20:03

Rastas Mike had he wouldn't even have a bunch of superstars with a well so he had to pull out in each [ __ ] and in

  • 1:20:10

each play he had to give them that confidence like you're better than this you can play you can compete on a high level

  • 1:20:15

like act like it like steams were wild I thought it was a real good dot before I before we go very

  • 1:20:21

well I thought it was you know first to I I think the latter and I hate to be great no I think the next eight are gonna be the ones I think this was the

  • 1:20:27

introduction for the people to know Mike's background we haven't gotten sent we haven't gotten to the shits in my

  • 1:20:34

opinion I'm starting like a travelling cocaine circus that Mike might have a warm up I didn't know that yes you did

  • 1:20:40

no I didn't I would have known that you know I wasn't knowing that was out years ago they was all doing a mission I

  • 1:20:47

didn't know that the Bulls team before Mike got there was looked at like the

  • 1:20:53

traveling cocaine circus I never knew that yeah those MBA was those didn't reveal much to me that I didn't already know I

  • 1:20:59

think as it goes on I do like where they're going but um making sure that Scottie is highlighted to all of us

  • 1:21:04

though I like that I did because family is for whatever reason Scottie Pippen never got the respect he deserved and

  • 1:21:10

the notoriety that he deserved so I do like that that Mike is making sure that Scottie is highlighted in this I like

  • 1:21:18

that a lot it's black make it seem like a producer on this I think anything Mike touches on

  • 1:21:24

he's a part of he would definitely have a lot of control over it okay that could

  • 1:21:31

be dangerous um well when you work your way into the position that Mike has I mean that's

  • 1:21:36

just what comes with it especially when you talking about telling my story or my career you know I mean like you you

  • 1:21:43

would have to like make sure that I am aware of everything that's going out that's being told about in that story

  • 1:21:48

and even if Mike is not a producer on this he clearly made sure every time he opened his mouth I'm big enough pivot

  • 1:21:55

yeah so and I like that um I saw a lot of people saying all Mike was [ __ ] up

  • 1:22:00

hipping only got this amount just much money I'm like well that's what I want to talk to you all about I think that's a pitman he spoke on that Pippen said he

  • 1:22:07

was like yo I was in a position where I just wanted I didn't want to gamble on my career and end up getting hurt and

  • 1:22:12

not getting paid I needed to make sure I could take care of everyone in my corner like even the owner told him like I

  • 1:22:18

don't think this is a smart idea for you to lock yourself in for this many years like and even Mike told him that too so

  • 1:22:23

if Scotty wants to go on and sign that contract that's on anybody else now get it other things

  • 1:22:28

came into play during that seven years TV deals and and stuff like that but I want to know how you all feel about that

  • 1:22:36

decision in particular from Scotty it's a tough position because a lot of

  • 1:22:42

players because if you tell me that can you tell me that you understand it then I'm gonna I'm gonna correlate that to

  • 1:22:49

some of your takes as it as it pertains to artists getting record deals because

  • 1:22:54

we always talk about that here and we say why would somebody do that and we never really focus on some of the

  • 1:23:00

reasons why somebody would do that know we've talked about it before Joe and I think the Scotty case made it

  • 1:23:07

clear it's all about the position from which you are negotiating from like if

  • 1:23:12

you're negotiating from a you know a desperate situation or you know you're

  • 1:23:18

negotiating from a situation where you don't quite understand the leverage that you have the work that the value that

  • 1:23:24

you have and all you know is you know your family struggling need to pay bills need to make sure

  • 1:23:29

everybody is okay I mean you're gonna just jump at a lot of things that you

  • 1:23:34

probably shouldn't even budge on because of those things weighing on you but when you're negotiating from a place of no I

  • 1:23:41

know what I'm worth and I know what I bring to this situation and I know you know what my value is I think sometimes

  • 1:23:48

you have to just again take the shorter end and say no I'm not locking myself in for this many years on at this because I

  • 1:23:55

know next year my value is gonna be double what it is now yes um so why would I lock myself into

  • 1:24:01

this sum so are not risk takers and this is just how I equate of the nine to five

  • 1:24:06

people other people that go to work versus the creatives like the quarantine has put everybody into the position of a

  • 1:24:14

creator not knowing where your next dock marks coming from having to come up with some [ __ ] to figure out how we're gonna

  • 1:24:20

survive versus the nine-to-five people who are probably more in line with stability and security Oh

  • 1:24:26

so just to paint this picture for people Scottie Pippen was injury ridden so

  • 1:24:33

that's it that's important to know that's a big thing because it's worth what networks you could lose your whole

  • 1:24:38

livelihood now here who's gonna surgery that no no I don't know no no no he signed his contract

  • 1:24:43

before any injuries happen no they said that he was they said in that dog he was renegotiate he was home no no they said

  • 1:24:50

that he part of the reason he signed that long-term deal was because he would he was having back and leg ankles some

  • 1:24:57

type of issues and he wasn't certain they said in in ninety he just came into the league and get hurt no I don't think

  • 1:25:03

about any injuries before that no I think I mean I'm not talking about toward the end where he said [ __ ] you

  • 1:25:09

all I'm getting my surgery that's all about them but before that Scottie didn't have any and any injuries that

  • 1:25:15

kept him out of playing maybe not I'm not saying kept him out of playing but had some pre-existing injury abut its

  • 1:25:22

ironed yeah but if it's nothing that's gonna keep you out of plane that doesn't have that doesn't affect you your contract but negotiations yeah but in

  • 1:25:28

sports you kind of don't know that so if he had something pre-existing and was scared to go out there and [ __ ] some [ __ ] up I could see how that would add

  • 1:25:36

to his decision-making yeah but again sit still you got a know that you're worth more than trillion a

  • 1:25:42

year see on what that's what they were talking about him waiting waiting to do

  • 1:25:49

the surgery into the season rather than in the sub no they had won at that point

  • 1:25:58

did you talk about that's right so which one are you talking about I'm come out before he came in up he has an eye

  • 1:26:04

injuries he was battling in college that you know he might have been worried

  • 1:26:09

about a herniated disc yeah that's that's bad yeah yeah but again I'm still

  • 1:26:15

not I'm not only that more think about that and think about that think about her and I'm telling you I wouldn't I

  • 1:26:21

wouldn't do that see and that's the and I'm glad we have deaf career that's the

  • 1:26:26

difference between Jordan and other players like when Mike when they was telling him there's a 10% chance you

  • 1:26:32

break your foot again and you never play again and Mike said okay well there's a 90% chance I won't so I'm playing that's

  • 1:26:39

the gamble that you have to take in when you know your ability and you know who you are

  • 1:26:44

like you're not second-guessing yourself and that's the difference between Mike as a competitor versus other players

  • 1:26:50

other athletes a lot of other athletes would never went back out there never said oh we're not gonna take this season just to

  • 1:26:56

get a lot of you pick like I want to go to the playoffs now like right now I want to be in the playoffs I want to compete against Larry Bird and these

  • 1:27:01

other dudes that are the best players in the league I want to be on the same same stages that's the difference between

  • 1:27:07

Jordan and a lot of other athletes and that's why he's considered the greatest

  • 1:27:12

because of his approach his mentality his his will you know I'm saying it's

  • 1:27:17

not just your abilities as a player it's a lot of other [ __ ] that goes into your greatness as well a lot of other players

  • 1:27:23

would have never got back on that floor in 86 if your doctor says oh 10% chance you break it again you you're never

  • 1:27:29

gonna play again players would have sat out [ __ ] this season get out get a lottery pick we come back next year cool ya'll believe mike said no [ __ ]

  • 1:27:36

that i want to go to the playoffs now y'all believe michael heard some commotion coming out of one of the hotel

  • 1:27:42

rooms and knocked on the door and went in there and the whole team was in there with drugs and women and mike said wait

  • 1:27:48

a minute guys I got a game tomorrow I've got to get out of here what are you guys doing he said honey at the time he was

  • 1:27:59

he was young he was a young kid yeah that's that would be the time to do it I don't know more hole and Jordan Whitmore

  • 1:28:06

hole Jordan and summer walk against you I'm not saying I'm so wild I'm not

  • 1:28:12

saying that am I saying that Jordan never I think that as a grown man now he never did cope no I'm not saying that

  • 1:28:18

did he do so what do you I don't think he did I'm just saying I don't think he did you know what's funny how you come

  • 1:28:24

in the things you learn you know our story that we always say when it comes to that flu game right mm-hmm

  • 1:28:30

don't that sounds familiar yeah but that was how many years later I know but where'd you learn it from what'd you do that night what'd you do the first time

  • 1:28:36

just walked out huh you walked out but then your dad so obviously walked out with you and dad did the habits to pass

  • 1:28:42

on while you were in the finals that's you telling me total opposite I think that it I think that it's the total opposite I think that had he went

  • 1:28:48

in that room that night and engaged in those activities I don't think we ever see the Mike that we saw that earlier I

  • 1:28:54

could totally see him being too young and naive but not long after that getting to the shits yeah like I said do

  • 1:29:01

I think as a grown man now of course I think that whole day was with the shits and he was one of them

  • 1:29:06

now he was a country boy man he ain't he I don't think he was was with that at that age yeah I feel like I've met that

  • 1:29:12

kid before you don't say that comes in and I say the same for me yeah you from the country you don't know nothing about

  • 1:29:17

    like you're not with any next next month they're [ __ ] turd and [ __ ] up I'll be

  • 1:29:22

honest I'm glad they highlighted just how fast Mike's game improved yeah mm-hmm like

  • 1:29:30

I'm glad I got to see that oh I'm saying it because he wasn't that nice no

  • 1:29:35

college it wasn't because of course you we always know he was that nice Jordan LeBron is not that cold LeBron and Kobe

  • 1:29:42

were like prodigy of cheese not like how do you know if it bugs me out with you

  • 1:29:47

you'll sit there and watch some of the greatest players ever that were playing with him at that moment and you'll hear

  • 1:29:53

their testament and then you'll be like make it the [ __ ] out of it James Worthy sat there he and he was one of the best players in the nation at the time and he

  • 1:30:01

sat then said I was better than you in two weeks and then you sit here and say he wasn't that good in college what are

  • 1:30:07

you talkin ta Player of the Year I don't know soft warrior he might have

  • 1:30:13

been no I'm only I'm only comparing him to what was on display his rookie year that they showed that wasn't on display

  • 1:30:20

his final year of college even with the game-winning shot like and I'm glad they highlighted it like he was going to his

  • 1:30:25

rookie year yeah what do you you know what his numbers was his rookie anymore I'm only telling you what I thought from

  • 1:30:32

watching the documentary I'm getting this from the documentary this is not from Joe's brain why okay so let me

  • 1:30:38

understand what you're saying you're saying that you don't believe it even after watching the doc well before the doc you didn't know he was dead good

  • 1:30:44

know what now that he just wasn't a child prodigy the way some other athletes that we deemed the greatest

  • 1:30:51

were like LeBron and Kobe were recruited since [ __ ] middle school Jordan

  • 1:30:57

didn't come in as the child prodigy it was gonna change the game do you know what Lew Alcindor did in college I'm

  • 1:31:03

just saying that he wasn't he wasn't even Kenny Anderson wasn't that in comedy and you Minar

  • 1:31:08

we past that you said rookie year from what they showed me on the dock his

  • 1:31:14

rookie year by the fourth game he was going crazy the ball was in his hand 90%

  • 1:31:19

of the time he was putting up the shots he was doing mad [ __ ] I didn't we didn't see that from him it's final year

  • 1:31:25

college like why are you attacking me he was consensus first-team all-american

  • 1:31:31

83 84 which were his sophomore junior years at sea which there's no there's

  • 1:31:36

mad way bad players are all Americans yeah I know what Joe say bad players are

  • 1:31:42

not over in the scope of people I don't know why we argue about you do within

  • 1:31:47

the scope of who's in the NBA mad of those players were all-america in this they say see Rookie of the Year 82 like

  • 1:31:54

I don't care in this dock they said verbatim hey had the Olympics come

  • 1:32:00

before the draft no way Jordan goes number three because he had gotten so

  • 1:32:06

much better from his last game of college to the Olympic game that

  • 1:32:11

everybody would have taken Jordan that's all I'm speaking to is how fast he improved I'm not saying he misunderstood

  • 1:32:20

you saying that's why I was just waiting here with you guys explain it Jesus I didn't understand what you were saying at first take your cape off I don't need

  • 1:32:28

that's the thing Mike you don't need to have a cape that was about to ask you

  • 1:32:34

out at two you're right you just run the tape you're right you don't need a cape and I'm glad that a lot of the younger kids are getting to see why America is so in

  • 1:32:41

love with Michael Jordan and even well long after you stopped playing but I think you kind of need a cape because

  • 1:32:47

LeBron name keeps coming up even though he had zero to do with this doc well

  • 1:32:52

imagine assortments want to put their cape on so speak to that for me please did there's no listen when you're when you

  • 1:32:58

know and have watched and lived through the Mike era and you watch and live

  • 1:33:04

through the LeBron era you there is no comparison all right I don't it's so like I you know and again LeBron

  • 1:33:12

is a great basketball player he's a great but I think LeBron is is more than that he's a great businessman a great

  • 1:33:18

friend a great father he's just a great role model yeah like I love getting off a lot of a

  • 1:33:25

lot of reasons but Michael Jordan is just a different when you told my just

  • 1:33:30

bass true we talking just basketball nothing more nothing else Michael Jordan is just the difference like you hear

  • 1:33:36

people it's gotten to the point now where people even downplayed the talent that was in the league in the 90s yeah

  • 1:33:42

like they say Oh Mike wasn't playing against nobody and I'm like what do you mean he was playing against some of the greatest players ever played a game now

  • 1:33:48

we could talk eras all we want my virus if we're gonna talk errors this is the easiest era of basketball ever this ever

  • 1:33:55

that today he was this is the easiest error of last of all ever he was cooking Danny Ainge right he was cooking more

  • 1:34:01

than Danny Ainge you heard what Larry Bird said it was Larry Bird Bill Walton Jake Johnson Kevin McHale it was a they

  • 1:34:08

threw bodies at him didn't matter talking [ __ ] more I know I know you saw this year but that's what I'm saying when it comes to Mike you don't even

  • 1:34:14

have to debate it because it's like let the tape run that it's gonna tell you everything you need to know here was a

  • 1:34:20

kid like you said Joe he wasn't highly scouted coming out of high school this is what makes this story even better is the fact that he

  • 1:34:26

worked his way instead of position of being the greatest ever like it wasn't just something that he just had he had

  • 1:34:33

to work at it he had to work at becoming better at basketball even in the midst of him playing even in high school in

  • 1:34:38

college he had to work better he wanted to get better and he and he ended up becoming the greatest ever but again you

  • 1:34:44

just have to look at the way the greats talked about him you understand I'm

  • 1:34:50

saying like the way that the great stole Mike is like they knew they never had a chance playing against them like we

  • 1:34:55

didn't even have a chance I don't see any of these players now in his generation where greats talked about

  • 1:35:00

them like that with the greats and their era talked about them like they didn't fight they had a chance to get some it doesn't happen also buddies it just

  • 1:35:07

doesn't I've never seen I've never seen one can sit down and support now I've never seen Tim Duncan sit down and talk

  • 1:35:13

about other players of his era like are you watching some of the young oh you Toma hearing the Great's talk about the

  • 1:35:19

greats I was I was talking about how NBA players speak about and that's how the current current set of NBA players speak

  • 1:35:26

about LeBron they put him on a pedestal well they would have to put him on a pedestal because he's a great and a lot

  • 1:35:33

of these dudes they grew up they grew up watching him and they grow you know seeing him but you also have to

  • 1:35:38

look at the Great's mean and the all-time greats and listen to the way they talk you won't find any all-time great that's

  • 1:35:46

gonna say LeBron and I hate doing this because people just for whatever you think I don't like and I love LeBron but

  • 1:35:52

you're never gonna hear none of these all-time greats a LeBron is better than Mike it's not gonna happen because even in LeBrons era you never

  • 1:36:00

felt like LeBron was the guy that these players were chasing you understand I'm saying like even in this in this error

  • 1:36:07

right now people are chasing the Warriors LeBron be the greatest team I ever saw that that's that's and that's

  • 1:36:14

debatable that's like he's also got also got swept by this team he also got swept twice in

  • 1:36:20

the finals like these are things that you had to add don't just highlight the highs and that's what I have that's what I died nobody else ever did it nobody

  • 1:36:28

else ever did what came back from a 3-1 deficit in the finals yeah Mike didn't have to and that's that's what see that and

  • 1:36:34

that's the part of the argument that that people understand Mike didn't have to come back from three Ozzy was playing dead left shrunk regardless of who this

  • 1:36:41

play I'm joking they're left with not

  • 1:36:46

only that he beat Hall of Famers every year that he wanted you know he

  • 1:36:51

understand I'm saying so it's not we can't just knock like people say Oh Mike didn't Mike didn't have to compete in coming four three one he didn't have to

  • 1:36:58

he was never down 3-1 like he didn't have to and that's what makes him great is because he didn't have people were

  • 1:37:03

chasing Mike I know like I see Mike running around after Stefan clay and Duran either oh Durant wasn't it Durant

  • 1:37:10

wasn't about what if the mic against that team shut up yeah and again you could argue errors we could we could do

  • 1:37:16

that but but I would like to see some of those players play with the physicality in the 90s I would love to see that I

  • 1:37:22

would love to see that Warriors team try to stand out there and just shoot threes all night in the 90s because the Pistons I would love to see it you just let me

  • 1:37:28

see it Joe like so that's why I don't need to argue to era ship because like I said imagine if imagine if Michael

  • 1:37:35

Jordan had the green light like the players in today's ever do he did he did not have the green light

  • 1:37:41

like to have plays ever did he didn't he did not he did not have the green light to come down as soon as he crossed after shooting he did not have that

  • 1:37:49

the MBA the games the style of play wasn't even like that so that's what I

  • 1:37:54

say it's different errors we can argue that LeBron great play a great player but when you talk about Mike other

  • 1:38:00

greats talk about they don't even speak with the same tone you they don't even think they don't even speak with the

  • 1:38:07

certainty the certainty that Mike spoke with like Mike knew he was gonna win you don't hear these players today speak

  • 1:38:13

with that type of certainty like I know I'm gonna win you don't you don't hear it even when the Warriors won all those games they want they didn't speak with

  • 1:38:19

that certainty they never spoke with it I don't care you've out passing me I don't care what it is man and like I

  • 1:38:27

said I was fortunate enough to see Mike and see LeBron it's just a different and I don't even there's some other names

  • 1:38:33

that you would have to put before LeBron too but then they're gonna say I'm hating the Bron even more and I don't hate LeBron I love LeBron great player

  • 1:38:39

but there are other players can and I would probably have to put before LeBron when you come up you talk about being

  • 1:38:44

great there's all I'm saying Derrick Coleman talk about the Tim's

  • 1:38:57

we're gonna talk if we gonna talk we're gonna talk greats let's talk great I'm not talking great all these dude great I

  • 1:39:03

can't wait to watch the doc actually somebody said they just sent the whole doc to me Alton post yeah you know just

  • 1:39:08

got that as well shout-out to him he's the man is it beer yeah what's a wetransfer oh I have three emails all trans

  • 1:39:15

transferring that they said that oh you

  • 1:39:22

told me shut him out no well said you

  • 1:39:28

guys just see that the the Bucs are trying to get crunk they got him they got him it's over yeah it's not what the

  • 1:39:36

Buccaneers yeah yeah oh wow Kowski you correct our

  • 1:39:43

the oh [ __ ] is Tom Brady on the Buccaneers yes yes yes yes is Oh Jay how

  • 1:39:49

Winona Buccaneers deal yeah two tight ends oh holy [ __ ]

  • 1:39:59

yeah Gronk didn't want to come back and work out for uber not much work I'm trying to party I'm

  • 1:40:04

trying to drink corn night sleep yeah I'm trying to slam footballs and Steve Harvey Lego toys not [ __ ] Bill

  • 1:40:12

Belichick that was one of the greatest shits ever oh the draft is in a few days it's on Thursday yeah uh hopefully the

  • 1:40:20

Giants locked in on this Isaiah Simmons kid I'm only really highlighting this because parks is a Dolphins fan oh that's so that's important it is you

  • 1:40:26

guys going back and forth don't work out trader in the Dolphins and Giants are we

  • 1:40:32

really don't swap no I want to swap v

  • 1:40:39

get out of here I mean okay I would I would have is a good offer yeah you would have saw a little only six or so

  • 1:40:45

oh yeah 100% 100% oh all that Jordan dock did was was just show me how bad I

  • 1:40:51

feel for athletes honestly that whole Scottie Pippen thing of him not getting the surgery in the

  • 1:40:59

summertime of him not trying to [ __ ] up his summer and got killed for like you know what about the team what about the

  • 1:41:05

love of the game only athletes in to some degree artists that I could make a comparison have to live in that world

  • 1:41:10

where they would compromise their money in their health for the love of the game or for some team morale that don't

  • 1:41:18

matter to their personal life imagine you imagine you and your ad agency come

  • 1:41:25

on man come on take a pay cut even though you got a broke leg and can't make it to work [ __ ] that do it for the

  • 1:41:31

love of advertising no suck my [ __ ] dick well that's why I like it Mike that

  • 1:41:37

seems that his generation getting their money I'll never get mattered I'm never and especially when what's so [ __ ] up

  • 1:41:42

about the mentality is in high school in college yeah that's what's driving you for the love of the game and all that

  • 1:41:48

[ __ ] meanwhile even high schools are making money off you [ __ ] even the college [ __ ] right right so you're

  • 1:41:55

you're birthed into this mentality that you just have to focus on the team and winning and I agree with that in high

  • 1:42:00

school because it is for the love of the game and it's fun and all that [ __ ] then you get into high into college when it's an actual business and you're still fed

  • 1:42:07

that mentality like you're less of a player if you focus on all the money that's being brought around you and

  • 1:42:14

brought in on your behalf and on your health no [ __ ] that always like that's always the [ __ ] down on

  • 1:42:20

the stance that they you know you should be out here should play you should be passionate you should be a show should

  • 1:42:25

be compensated as well that's my thing never put that word in there listen I love I love all that [ __ ] but there's

  • 1:42:31

only in [ __ ] athletics where everything that that fan or commentator

  • 1:42:37

that sitting in that [ __ ] seat would never compromise you think Max Kellerman gives a [ __ ] about ESPN if he's not

  • 1:42:43

getting his money on Friday yes why would you why would you think otherwise roaring like and I'm not sick taking a

  • 1:42:50

shot at max but it's I just was sitting there when everyone was killing Scottie the next day on all the [ __ ] reports

  • 1:42:57

I'm like fam but why honey y'all is showing up if you don't get your [ __ ] money either don't tell him he's not a competitor or

  • 1:43:04

cares about basketball or cares about his teammates any more than you do your coworker or the the employer that you

  • 1:43:11

have look at mall and Rory doing that Jalen Jacoby I see y'all nah it was

  • 1:43:19

disgusting I feel bad for athletes from that regard because you're taught that through college that you only have to

  • 1:43:25

focus on of course winning competitive whole point is getting rings I get that but it's not when you're an athlete not

  • 1:43:31

that if you're if you're a running back in the NFL and you can only make it to 28 years old no [ __ ] the team why did a

  • 1:43:37

why did Larsa Pippen jump in why did why did she chime in and say you guys trust

  • 1:43:43

me Scott nothing god is great we know he's know he's got his awesome trust me you

  • 1:43:49

guys we don't need wearing his [ __ ] account for the pass how many we don't need a handout from you guys or sympathy

  • 1:43:56

we're awesome no no no yes weird [ __ ]

  • 1:44:01

hey she was trying to change our whole last name the future yeah yeah we're we're fine Weiss no we're fine Scotty

  • 1:44:08

was like yo come back look man I'm straight she want to give her some where I'll be

  • 1:44:15

there yeah no no isn't that way for but it's Scottie invent hot girl summer

  • 1:44:20

no he didn't he's not a place for it but I got some good loss of dignity then I'm

  • 1:44:25

gonna keep to myself there's no place for tea are you kidding me well now you can keep it no I'm gonna

  • 1:44:31

keep it not that we care about the Larsa Pippen it's a hero the whole Kardashian shut the [ __ ] up talking and I never

  • 1:44:37

speak about our car - you know and I never speak about you have to care about the T of your Kardashian I don't care

  • 1:44:43

about teeth I don't even think they care don't care about T is funny I don't care

  • 1:44:50

about T um damn what else was there what else was there some Oh mall should we

  • 1:44:56

walk back our little Wayne take I've been getting hate mail all week yes you had to let you guys live yeah I won't

  • 1:45:03

know I'll still stand out there oh that's bad with him they've been killing me for having New York bias so I want to

  • 1:45:09

be clear in letting the audience know that it's true I am drinking mixtapes

  • 1:45:16

catalog - so far gone and come back to

  • 1:45:21

doing it guys if everybody's aliy the one of the biggest career change in

  • 1:45:28

mixtapes ever I would argue that it would be the greatest mixtape of all time I think you make that argument yeah but as you can absolutely make that

  • 1:45:35

an argument ever comeback season wasn't that highly regarded there's a lot of Dilla beats on there Joe so far gone was

  • 1:45:43

obviously I love comeback season comeback season was a good mix tape it's a great mix tape yeah I wouldn't even

  • 1:45:49

say that so far gone is like the you know I mean so it's like now you comparing that to but but where does

  • 1:45:55

that when you've only given to I don't count room for improvement oh but when you won't when you've given to mix tapes

  • 1:46:01

where do you later I love a word get a quick little hippie lineup I don't count

  • 1:46:07

that first one how is that a hippie I don't count room for improvement you guys I don't think he would count that

  • 1:46:13

was the lesser-known one where does

  • 1:46:19

Drake stand with two mixtapes in a mixtape battle that's the only thing is just a deep enough catalog it's not a

  • 1:46:25

deep enough catalog Plato holds over go on yeah no doubt fair yeah I guess lay that and a couple

  • 1:46:33

joints off a comeback season you all right they got a little height they got a little hypothetical hole versus Drake

  • 1:46:39

battle running around I saw them they're trying to qualify but all right be

  • 1:46:44

honest take your bias away who wins this I don't [ __ ] know no and no am I

  • 1:46:51

thinking about it nor nor do I think that's a good matchup yeah well Drake

  • 1:46:57

obviously has more practice then than Jay but are we playing the drake arm B

  • 1:47:05

ish that's why I reckon so just straight rap records I don't care it's not a good

  • 1:47:10

matchup I don't care yeah I don't it's not driving me to the I'm cool um what else

  • 1:47:19

is and 400 walk about we walk back to you're not walking back to take there's no dad's not getting smoked by way oh I

  • 1:47:25

was in the middle of saying yes I have New York bias I'm from New York as I've understood that you're sweating am I

  • 1:47:32

supposed to have London bias like oh no I wore this sweater purposely because it was too much Jordan mania going away too

  • 1:47:39

much Jordan don't know cuz greatness cuz the next demo Joe is whacked oh but I

  • 1:47:45

know soon is that soon is that ll drop came to Game two in the Boston Garden Jones Chris Paul crazy when that dropped

  • 1:47:52

cuz I know you know you I know you I don't do that don't do that don't act

  • 1:47:58

like that now on on camera be like yo cuz I know you was in the crib when that ll dropped you went crazy when you put

  • 1:48:03

that 63 up do you guys like how they did the uh like the non chronological but I

  • 1:48:09

loved it a lot I love that oh how do you stop when he made a point about his childhood and then it didn't they jumped

  • 1:48:14

into the tower it was jumping all over the place yeah they're all over the place yeah I liked that I was calling it there's a great way to tell the story

  • 1:48:20

yeah yeah yo is it too late is it too early uh is it too soon for Ozark

  • 1:48:26

spoilers cuz now I have finished the whole season they killed my [ __ ] man I'd prefer not to hear them alright

  • 1:48:33

nevermind did you not finish it no I'm close though but how you like it

  • 1:48:40

overall they kill my [ __ ] but I mean I love it

  • 1:48:45

feeling but I'm sad hey hey when they kill you I really liked her for real she

  • 1:48:52

kept some of the spice alive for me I can't talk about it no more but yeah

  • 1:48:58

listen if you blink you'll miss it cuz I watched that finale I fell asleep wanted a few times that I

  • 1:49:04

was tired and I just woke up to a bloody hug and I was like how do we get here I had to watch it bad for wine too -

  • 1:49:12

you're man times alright I'm not talking about it spoiler alert fine we out of here oh there got it um phenomenal season

  • 1:49:18

though I don't have anything else that I need to talk to these [ __ ] about to be honest with you say while we missing

  • 1:49:24

anything hell no we don't have to always do it three-hour pocket no not at all not at all

  • 1:49:29

yeah so much uh been jables oh um division the division album is out yeah

  • 1:49:37

well we set it on the elastic a little bit division album is uh is definitely better than the party album for sure oh

  • 1:49:42

that was the tape yeah I agree yeah I just didn't want to say it I

  • 1:49:49

don't want to be disrespectful and say it like as soon as it came out when to live with it for the weekend alright

  • 1:49:56

but um yeah I agree but I can I attend the last party I live with a little bit

  • 1:50:03

harder yeah no it's better than it's better than a no I started the plot against

  • 1:50:09

America and HBO was that good I've been thinking about that one yeah it's good it's good um Ed Burns and David Simon

  • 1:50:16

who did the wire did this one and it's it's about the baby with Simon good just

  • 1:50:21

one you just hate the wire because you think power is better it's good it's

  • 1:50:29

about a if oh boy lost the election why

  • 1:50:34

am i blanking on that president's name sure win was it maybe Truman if he lost

  • 1:50:41

the election and this very fascist gentleman became the president how that

  • 1:50:46

would have affected America towards the Jewish community specifically in Newark New Jersey it's

  • 1:50:52

interesting okay I started watching blackest [ __ ] on Netflix you guys watch

  • 1:50:58

that yet there's a dope I love it's really good I love it really good shots

  • 1:51:03

of Kenny and on him it's kind of like a curb ish and a little bit office esque

  • 1:51:10

okay that's good worth watching yeah but there was one

  • 1:51:16

thing I've mentioned it last week out some of the critics were killing it because the mom is mixed that's it

  • 1:51:26

that's the that's her whole thing on the show well all they do when the show is kind of clown each other and clown

  • 1:51:31

themselves I don't know why it was such a big big deal but it was she says on

  • 1:51:37

the show no I think that they were implying that she's not mix someone on Twitter got that very wrong cuz she is

  • 1:51:42

mixed she's it's Quincy Jones daughter I love that outdoor kitchen the one that Danny Park what's happening where I

  • 1:51:55

don't know rashida Jones is the girl

  • 1:52:01

gotcha oh he Dada Jones either way check it out

  • 1:52:07

how about that oh right yeah she's good show oh I don't have anything else on

  • 1:52:14

you no I'm done okay you guys got anything else I'm

  • 1:52:22

straight how about the rest of you on the call

  • 1:52:30

well you got anything coming through tonight what's up brah when I say quarantine okay no quarantine means yeah

  • 1:52:39

jerk off on FaceTime that's not that's not what it means I think that's regular teen

  • 1:52:53

[Music] Joe ran from that solo smoke do you think I forgot about that I still gotta

  • 1:52:59

have soul Joe record in the cut I don't think he ever cut vocals to it though I couldn't Joe Moore no he didn't lay no

  • 1:53:06

verse today Danny ran from the smoke he ran for a whole summer he's still out of breath mm-hmm I'm not

  • 1:53:14

look good I'm not my reason in the back I'm not I'm in the front not weaving breathe breathing is as fine as it's

  • 1:53:20

ever been Joe and I did our our Joe verse banks battle in IG life how'd that go it was

  • 1:53:29

good we should have stuck to one the fan fans one the culture it was good ultra

  • 1:53:35

one ho Tier one it was good it was just too many records I don't know we went we went kind of long banks was in there so

  • 1:53:42

that felt real good yeah it was cool cool to find something to do and more if you really want to do this Wayne verse

  • 1:53:48

fab thing I'd be happy to you wanna do it you don't for your own well-being I

  • 1:53:55

don't think you want to do that but I'm Danny well after this I will be well my

  • 1:54:01

being will be well yeah I don't doubt it I think if I want a man in my take clear cuz there seems to have been some

  • 1:54:07

confusion from our exact words I mean maybe I said I and I still believe that

  • 1:54:15

I don't think fab can get smoked by anyone in a mixtape battle up to ten I

  • 1:54:23

also seen it can lose nice and II can't big goals okay longer than ten the

  • 1:54:28

longer it goes the worse it gets for fab I don't know how that got contorted into

  • 1:54:34

I'm sleeping on Wayne's discography mixtapes con speaking about the end if

  • 1:54:40

y'all keep saying that to me I'm a I'm a bring my scorching-hot take to this podcast and I don't want to

  • 1:54:45

what's the scorching on saying I told you so drinks gorgeous green bring it bring it so I could bring like I want to

  • 1:54:51

bring the sazon in the uh you know mean I'm gonna I want to add to it no were

  • 1:54:56

you going it so worried and i'ma say it and I'm leaving at least 60% of Wayne's

  • 1:55:04

mixtape catalog is that and that's my thing to Rory it's not

  • 1:55:10

it's not as much as Val volume valium it's a lot no there's quality weather

  • 1:55:15

after work outside he had the same POC

  • 1:55:21

mentality he just put everything out he was recording and everything indict this

  • 1:55:26

vibe has definitely quality in the volume for sure this is Wayne we talking about but yeah but if we're going by our vs.

  • 1:55:32

battles whether it be 10 or 20 you can talk about the 10,000 mixtape songs that

  • 1:55:38

Wayne has I'm talking about the 20 and he definitely has he has more than 20 bangers for sure

  • 1:55:45

but I think that people when they when you start to mom just his opponents people get lost because they just

  • 1:55:50

figured Wayne has so much volume on the mixtape sinking into the quality and let me corner rory into some [ __ ] he said he

  • 1:55:56

also had me getting smoked by Bengston g-unit and if our little battle proved anything is Joe ain't getting smoked no

  • 1:56:03

you didn't get smoked yeah I'm not getting smoked I guess my so worried my and a lot of snow a lot of what what I said there was just to beat you for fun

  • 1:56:10

Oh cuz you might add no I don't think we're happy I don't think fab is ever

  • 1:56:16

getting smoked in a mixtape battle god no he's an I still keep my New York bias with fab too but we're talking about a

  • 1:56:22

different animal in the mixtape world don't get it twisted were like a different toy animal is Wayne be tough

  • 1:56:28

for me to like we could do any 20 joints let's do 15 then come back Wayne's away in 20 with fab absolutely let's do 15

  • 1:56:35

I'm speaking more to the fact that people just feel like fab doesn't have a chance is what I'm saying that's what I

  • 1:56:40

don't like if y'all are gonna do this I want to watch what do you want to do it um what you do with the day to day they

  • 1:56:47

should drop yeah dude them walk yeah yes I can put it up put a list together alright so are we doing 15 see Rory keep

  • 1:56:54

trying to get it to go a little longer oh how like there all right you guys want to do 10 who's you guys I'm that person

  • 1:57:02

I did my battle that's a fact Joe Budden imagine we could do 15 all right

  • 1:57:07

it seems Wayne Twain verse verse fam damn it no fab da radio I'm including

  • 1:57:15

all radio freestyles that's part of the mixtape ever to me what Rory's not a beach Rory's baiting you now listen let's say

  • 1:57:22

man you know Sam I'm Mike in the fourth man don't worry about that give me the ball and move man give me the ball and

  • 1:57:29

move give me the ball and move we I you know what i will say up back to the

  • 1:57:35

babyface Teddy Ted battle real quick I really enjoyed the exchange between Toni

  • 1:57:41

Braxton and Tevin Campbell we're off yeah where Tony said I got a chance to

  • 1:57:46

hear I'm ready you know before it was placed and I wanted that record and I was really excited when it finally came

  • 1:57:53

out and then Tevin was like yeah I heard another another sad love song and I wanted that record and now I kind of

  • 1:58:00

want to hear them do each other's records let me know cuz I can hear I'm ready from Tony that's the UM I think that's

  • 1:58:08

the beauty and wood in babyface though Joe his uh the he he doesn't write the

  • 1:58:13

songs that he writes in the artist that he he ends up giving these songs to you

  • 1:58:19

can kind of hear them all singing these records at some point in their career because all his music and his his lyrics

  • 1:58:26

are kind of like you can hear a lot of artists that he wrote for it because a lot of the music kind of sounds like it

  • 1:58:33

came from the same person you could tell the same person wrote these words may not have performed but the same person

  • 1:58:38

it came from the same brain and I'm ready in Tony's record you could

  • 1:58:43

definitely hear either one of them singing those songs that's the other thing that brought me to Prince Rogers

  • 1:58:49

Nelson during the babyface battle was that the great one the purple wanted yes you [ __ ] right was that babyface was

  • 1:58:56

playing his tavern records and in Tevin was tweeting about the songs What did he

  • 1:59:01

say he said can we talk was a song about stalking but it was funny I don't know if he was trying to be

  • 1:59:07

funny it really is a song about stalking I notice what that's been involvement in Joe but that that's the connection I

  • 1:59:13

made to Prince because the story I'm dying to hear Tevin Campbell tell that he won't tell is how Prince wrote fam

  • 1:59:22

and then he did it and then Prince hated him he hated that commercial sappy [ __ ]

  • 1:59:30

that he did and he took it back from him yeah if that is math respect that print

  • 1:59:36

yeah you not using orange no justice yeah no my god but I want to get seven kind of talk about that like the

  • 1:59:42

difficulty of working with prints kind of like we're gonna hear about the difficulty of working with Michael

  • 1:59:48

Jordan in the next eight parts of this doc difficult maybe worth it absolutely

  • 1:59:54

worth it [ __ ] yeah we would have never known who Bill winning team was I still

  • 1:59:59

don't know who bill wanted to say exactly hole call me Bill winning thing

  • 2:00:05

no he didn't do that yeah you know what back and I'm getting off of this and I'm leaving them I'm going home I am home yo

  • 2:00:12

back to that when I'm you're slamming your left I played my I played I played my whole freestyle against Rory Oh in

  • 2:00:19

the bank's vs. me battle and boy did the drop-off in talent the drop-off and

  • 2:00:26

talent was vast after you Kobe maybe Tracy McGrady like how you thought you

  • 2:00:35

knew that was coming within matter of fact how do we get from Kobe Tracy to

  • 2:00:48

have a minor in these [ __ ] like crazy

  • 2:00:57
