- 0:53
everything's good everything's slow and easy right now calm week i saw you two
- 0:58
days ago i mean not much happened in two days sorry i have a vulnerable moment i wanted to
- 1:03
share oh shh yeah you party is this i know it's not a safe that's a
- 1:09
basic very rretic thing to do in the locker room i know it's not a safe space but i'm
- 1:14
asking if if it could be safe no it's safe sure the door's locked okay you're safe
- 1:19
yeah no one's gonna hear this no so yesterday my mom and one of her best friends come over cook dinner did the whole thing made
- 1:26
steaks my mother's best friend's daughter i've known my whole life is about to get
- 1:32
married and they're doing the bachelorette party today when you're hearing this okay so my mom
- 1:37
and her friend are help putting this [ __ ] together and i jokingly said hey my gift will be a male
- 1:44
stripper for y'all and both of their eyes lit up as if i wasn't joking
- 1:50
okay they took me up on my offer right away you are you are in contact with male
- 1:56
strippers it was a joke so now you got to find him it's going to get worse
- 2:01
oh you're not the male stripper are you no okay i'm not going to strip for my mother okay
- 2:07
sicko no i'm just i'm trying to see where the story's going so that's what happened to the silence and
- 2:12
lamb guy right yeah what look what joe emotion in the basket hey he just scoffed at that like we've
- 2:18
never seen a white dude wow
- 2:23
so i get bullied in to opening my laptop and searching for male dancers that are
- 2:30
available today area your instagram nothing yeah
- 2:36
so now cookies are disgusting and you text cookie
- 2:44
this is where i need this isn't the part i needed some safety okay oh we got so caught up into this search
- 2:51
that when they were judging the dudes that kept popping up in the gallery of who you could pick you
- 2:56
found a cute one i started saying nah not him oh my god
- 3:08
[Music] everything leading up to it like i was
- 3:13
cool comfortable i was like i whatever if my mom her friends and all that want to have a mail strip i got nothing wrong
- 3:19
with that i'll even help i'll pay for it what attributes were you looking for when i caught myself saying
- 3:25
you kind of come out with me i'm trying to beat you to the punch in the middle of that not him
- 3:32
i was like wait what am i doing don't don't be the guy to propose at my
- 3:38
wedding that is hilarious so who'd you pick the
- 3:43
guy what's his name i was outvoted i'm still a little salty i might hire my fave for another time
- 3:51
what were you willing to pay them yo they're not cheap oh my god yo what is wrong with rory
- 3:57
rory has a wild 48 hours man ugh turning it up all i was trying to do was
- 4:03
cook some steaks for my mom and her friend that's all i was trying to do you started cooking a different type of meal everybody
- 4:10
the poultry changed oh you can do better than that mom yeah i have high standards for
- 4:18
all of my loved ones especially women so yeah that's a selfless act worth more than
- 4:23
that guys rory not really sharing the full extent of what he was doing in there
- 4:29
the moms was trying to write the strippers words like oh come on a guy wouldn't even respond to that let me do it
- 4:36
no i speak his language come here let me write that's it oh man i didn't even know male
- 4:43
stripper still existed of course we know you didn't mo no safari safari he's he's only been holding it down for the
- 4:49
male strippers no but they took him like really oh
- 4:59
but he'd be stripping but don't talk about what a dude do with his wife he tell he told us he called in and told us
- 5:04
she's the one only fans yeah it was like a far-fetched firearm yeah like they're right on this one yeah like
- 5:10
he told us that's what he does if i go if i if i'm somewhere and i'm start stripping with my wife y'all gonna talk about it with the homies
- 5:16
we're gonna laugh at you for sure yeah we don't we don't want to see that [ __ ] it ain't for you it's on your only
- 5:22
fans it's for the world but for my fans only yeah it's in the title it's for the world
- 5:29
titles you're not a fan of mine those those zip files drop every week for the world that is true yeah there is
- 5:36
man to talk about we sitting here bullshitting around but i told y'all i'm in a real mellow mood real mellow move where do y'all want to
- 5:41
start come on man we ain't starting nowhere else you know snooping in in x-men
- 5:47
classic classic classic battle a clash closer than we probably thought
- 5:53
it would be classic it was closer i thought absolutely what i got i got x winning
- 5:59
sorry but you had x winning i had a 10-9 snoop i'm not mad at that so what
- 6:04
happened to the other ones yeah that was 20 records i'm sorry i scored like a fight but we had it 12 8 11 nine we had it right there
- 6:10
yeah that's why i'm shocked like what are y'all saying it was much closer than that well i thought i thought snoop was gonna
- 6:16
get like 14. but no when you i'm saying this closer after like actually hearing the records back to back
- 6:22
like them answer each other with records it was like okay snoop might have won that one but not i could see some people liking that
- 6:29
record better though that's what i mean it was closer than i thought it would be and he didn't play still dre
- 6:35
which i was like how did you not play sexual seduction snoop played still direct did he play
- 6:41
still dre played next episode oh no didn't he start deep covered with still dre and then it
- 6:48
switched they did do a couple of the first record he kind of played but it didn't count was still drake
- 6:53
he didn't play still dredo like he started the battle with it it was just a song and a half what was your score in the
- 6:58
battle and then and then just give it probably right there 11 9 12 8. give me some of your main
- 7:04
your main thoughts on just the overall performance of them both uh well snoop is you know he's been a
- 7:11
celebrity a high profile celebrity for over 25 years so his performance his uh his energy
- 7:18
his his showmanship uh this is what's what snoop does this is why he's arguably the most famous rapper
- 7:24
in the world um somebody on twitter said snoop was dressed like a six-year-old that you say all right you can dress
- 7:29
yourself [Music] i mean i don't i don't i don't look like a snoop for fashion like that's not what
- 7:36
i look like stupid snoop man that wasn't and i didn't say that somebody on twitter no no no i understand i don't know your name i don't even i don't even i never think
- 7:42
about or care about which snoop is gonna wear it i don't snoop is just his his character's personality but um
- 7:48
you like that you like his character and his personality oh yeah snoop is snoop is is fun we gonna come out together yeah
- 8:17
no matter what you do or say i'm not in the closet with you so it's okay bro come on something like y'all little
- 8:23
drama the world's jokes i don't like you carrying it all right but go ahead we're just synonymous but yeah i like uh
- 8:29
i like i love battle man i love obviously these two have known each other for years um it was just great to see man it was
- 8:36
great to hear a lot of the records that was played uh x was he was entertaining he was
- 8:41
i like x because all of this technology [ __ ] he don't care about at all like he was just like you could tell he was like man whatever how many records i
- 8:47
want me to play swiss play the [ __ ] record and i'm out of here so just that attitude was fun to see in this moment too but um
- 8:54
yeah man it was dope man this was to me this was the best one so far yeah to your point i was really shocked at how into this dmx was granted it
- 9:01
swears who's family he loves snoop as well but i can see x not giving a single [ __ ] about this
- 9:07
yeah and not understanding it wondering what he's staring into i loved why he asked me to do this every
- 9:12
time he gave him the numbers he was like man there's 10 people on this [ __ ] screen man you talking about like he didn't care about 2 million he was like yo where
- 9:19
it's the same 10 names popping up on this damn screen but yeah that was dope man this was
- 9:24
really really a classic night for me i i enjoyed this it's probably my favorite because this was definitely my favorite one by far
- 9:29
by far my favorite i feel like we say that everyone but i guess that's the truth y'all do say that everyone whatever well
- 9:34
that keeps getting better yeah so at that point beany man and bounty killer was definitely the most energy the most yeah you know
- 9:41
that one stood on this no but last uh as i was watching this i thought about the fact that we have said
- 9:46
that a bunch and heard have heard that said a bunch and this is why you just got to tip your
- 9:51
hat to both timberland and and swiss absolutely the lineups that they have produced
- 9:57
have been premium lineups yeah absolutely but you gotta also every time it's a
- 10:04
name that i think won't show they show every time i think it's a matchup that won't happen
- 10:10
it happens like all of the matchups have been kind of nuts yeah yeah i do worry that the trajectory
- 10:17
is going just towards super duper stars and i would like to see more producers and songwriters and stuff like that
- 10:22
still happening maybe as undercards or something i don't know how you do it but but if they go back to producers they just have to make it to where you're
- 10:27
just playing the actual don't play the lyrics because i might just i might fall in love with the
- 10:33
actual song but when you just hear the music it might not be a better track than the one you produced you know what i'm saying so
- 10:38
i might love the record more right well i think that changes what their rules are here i think the rules
- 10:44
are song for song and it should remain probably the most how many plays and a half do you think
- 10:50
hardin don't get to get the ball no harden steps on the card it takes takes charge if you depends if it's the
- 10:55
playoffs you don't have to work hard and get to the top of this the playoffs you know you don't show up in the playoffs
- 11:01
we've seen it we saw you again in san antonio we got what seventeen left is the playoffs don't have a heart in beef no why would
- 11:07
you say i don't have beef they was up three what's the name on the warriors
- 11:12
well and then what they didn't win the series no just move on okay okay yeah exactly listen uh i'm sorry i
- 11:18
stepped on you all my bad no no go ahead uh give us your insight please my insight all right many points many many many
- 11:24
many many points uh so let me start with the one that i'm most most grateful about dmx looked amazing
- 11:30
to me sure yeah absolutely dmx in all of his weight and all of his smiling
- 11:35
and all of his just just behavior his mannerisms his correspondence with people
- 11:40
everything about dmx looked amazing uh and and i've i followed x x is one of
- 11:47
my top guys i've followed him i've spoken to him you know i kind of
- 11:52
feel i feel i feel a lot of i feel similar to him in a lot of ways i almost feel like connected to this [ __ ]
- 11:58
well i think your catalog would be most influenced content-wise by x
- 12:04
i could see someone saying that yeah but that's that's where i start x just looked great we used to snoop
- 12:09
looking great having great skin snoop has been rich for a long time yeah true um we used to that great
- 12:16
energy so that was great to see but x looked great that was that was where i started uh second one of the
- 12:22
things that i love about this versus thing is that it gives us a real-time view
- 12:28
of who inspired who and how i've said that a bunch of times here and that again was on display here
- 12:35
when i was young coming up it never occurred to me the the both of these guys were dogs
- 12:42
right seriously no never did i never thought hey dmx and yonkers is seeing what snoop
- 12:49
dogg is doing and is inspired oh and just happens to love dogs and so forth and so on but to see
- 12:55
x's admiration for snoop and the cx in real time thanks snoop for his contribution and
- 13:03
inspiring him the way that he did and putting him on to some [ __ ] that inspired him hey snoopy you didn't know
- 13:08
my big single was on the strength of you like that crazy was great yeah that was
- 13:15
that was great well tell the story for those that didn't hear it well x was expecting to to snoop that
- 13:22
yeah his record get at me dog which kind of really popped x's whole career off to some extent it was his first bit
- 13:27
that was the one sure was influenced by the two of them running into each other and snoop saying as he was leaving get at me dog
- 13:34
and x thought that was the coolest [ __ ] ever so yeah i mean one conversation between these two launched
- 13:41
his career it just shows just how much uh being from the hip-hop culture no matter
- 13:46
where you're from in the in the world chuckling it's uh it's always it's it's we connected like it's similar
- 13:53
you could be from long beach you could be from yonkers but through hip-hop there's so many similarities and telling
- 13:59
stories and just growing up in the hood like you know these are two these are two testaments of the culture like
- 14:05
25 years plus this [ __ ] getting his own board and everything i mean you know i do what i can while i
- 14:10
can man i hate people i'm here for a good time not a long time you know who was the player that that threw this
- 14:18
[ __ ] up against his own glass to get his own rebound to get a triple double oh that was ricky davis yeah ricky davis
- 14:23
did that legend was he on the celtics at that time legend thing moses maloney i love it
- 14:29
look where you going look what you're digging at moses malone because he invented that missing his own shot on purpose yeah no
- 14:35
ricky davis laid it up on at the wrong basket no one was on that side of the court yeah no that was literally a
- 14:40
basket and he just put it i love it legendary put it in the books it's a rebound
- 14:46
ricky davis thought they brought lebron in to help him [Laughter] nah they help him back he brought it
- 14:52
they brought in lebron to help him pack time to go buddy this ship has sailed
- 14:58
just telling you where ricky davis lebron has had a white dunk he's had wild teammates on the low early come on come on we're not talking
- 15:04
about that um back to these two favorite part was the performances i just can't finish none of my points god damn it go ahead no you go the
- 15:11
performance is from them both and battle cut all three oh man all three all three of them killed it
- 15:17
effortlessly from snoop especially but x2 and battle cats smoke x was impressed by battle cats uh
- 15:24
battlecasting's killing that [ __ ] yeah he smoked that [ __ ] yeah legendary producer and dj
- 15:30
i like i like the fact that x is always x again i feel just i feel him on it
- 15:36
differently like when he said when switzer's like all right go ahead and introduce you to
- 15:42
the [ __ ] no yeah what the [ __ ] is just gonna say my [ __ ] give a [ __ ] you introduce this [ __ ] you do it [ __ ]
- 15:50
i had to vote him on that but that's x though when he said it magically brought my brain back to
- 15:56
his drake interview that we love drake so much that we never bring it up but the dmx drake interview was funny when he was [ __ ] on drake
- 16:02
and then when i remembered that i was like ah maybe i wonder if that has something to do with twists and drinks little but that was my brain off and
- 16:08
attention anyway uh back to this battle back to exxon uh
- 16:14
i don't think x1 but he didn't lose he put numbers on the board hell yeah he
- 16:20
didn't lose and anybody that wants to say x1 i'm not mad i'm not mad now wait a minute as i was
- 16:27
watching this battle here we go this is what i'll say to you guys toward
- 16:32
the end of this battle i was thanking god for my ability to hate
- 16:38
why although i think hate is necessary but why
- 16:44
because it's important like the young kids call it hate the young kids call it hate i call it
- 16:52
the ability to critically analyze something and be able to spot a potential flaw
- 17:00
because everything in the universe has a flaw mm-hmm so that was that's not hate that's just what this
- 17:05
what you call that true so i know that sometimes i sound
- 17:11
like a hater like and our generation if you're talking about whitney houston and i point out a flaw in whitney houston it
- 17:16
may sound like i'm a hater no i just don't think i need to say that that's the greatest voice in the world
- 17:21
because that should be understood already right so this is what got me to that in watching this battle because i came away
- 17:27
from it with something that i never thought i would no go ahead [ __ ] on it no this is going
- 17:33
to sound away okay but follow me it's going to sound away but follow me i'm on the wing man
- 17:38
that's all i'm saying good go and this may be i don't think this is with any new york
- 17:44
bias but it may be i came away from this
- 17:50
feeling even more believing in dmx even more
- 17:57
as a solo act in regards to him versus snoop like what the showing he put on as
- 18:05
a solo act made me say that yeah i think snoop won
- 18:11
but dmx solo wise is better than most of y'all oh he's
- 18:16
still told he's better than most of y'all he's still he's over one of the greatest catalogues yeah
- 18:23
he missed a bunch yeah and he missed a bunch i have dmx winning and he did great with
- 18:29
his sequencing by the way yeah the only record i was a little confused at was uh
- 18:34
down on the name right uh right now what's on y'all [ __ ] minds [ __ ] with me i know somebody that told you about [ __ ] with d [ __ ]
- 18:41
stuck in the tree is what you would be [ __ ] with like a cat and i'm a dog i don't know so what's that your worst nightmare [ __ ] with you yeah that was
- 18:48
the only record i was like yeah slow down but even that goes lay low i'm not mad at that pick at all
- 18:55
now layla is hard i'm not of course it is i'm just not mad at him playing [ __ ]
- 19:00
with d again hey layla if reservoir dogs dogs comes on right there i don't want to hear nothing about
- 19:05
it layla i don't want to hear a peep about layla and reservoir dogs
- 19:13
oh oh yeah we possibly could oh yeah that's one of the greatest 24 hours to live come on i don't want to hear peep
- 19:18
about layla like what are you talking about i was really upset but i think x but that thing x that goes into my point
- 19:24
psychologically about x because when you so stand alone
- 19:29
you don't even view none of that [ __ ] like you maybe should like x is used to being the alone [ __ ]
- 19:37
okay so let me quickly ask you a question in the feature category him playing and when snoop ran out and
- 19:43
when snoop was running out of his friend's records x still seemed like hey i got my own
- 19:51
solo [ __ ] that could continue for another 20. and that's what makes x different i hope i didn't sound like i'm [ __ ] on
- 19:58
snapchat no no i'm not no but x is different and that's what i walked away from this
- 20:03
with even though i have snoop winning yeah snoop one to me all right well two points to what you just said
- 20:09
posse cut would you play 24 hours to live reservoir dogs or the fourth three two
- 20:15
one joint like i would have picked 24 hours to live and reservoir dogs before i played four three two one if
- 20:20
i'm gonna i would have changed i would have picked blackout before i picked four three two one shut him down same label same [ __ ]
- 20:27
year everything i like that he played that but i was like all right if you're gonna do the posse [ __ ] there's mad other posse cuts i think
- 20:33
what if he would have played the but wasn't four three two one his first the first time we heard x no no no
- 20:38
no no no but that was earlier he was on fire yeah it was early really it was early it was early though right it was early yeah
- 20:44
because i remember that was the first one of the first records i remember of x being on that was like really big
- 20:49
it was that one all right if he would have played the him giant [ __ ] whole [ __ ] that might have been the first time
- 20:55
we've heard like mike geronimo joined he wouldn't have played that no no no no no i'm like
- 21:00
[ __ ] is dead dead i tell you i don't know murdergram thank you murdoch murder
- 21:06
murder if he would have played that see all of that would have been against snooping
- 21:12
just to set the tone all the records that we thought maybe snoop wouldn't play he leaned on yeah he leaned on
- 21:19
every early snoop doggy style no you're not getting uh
- 21:24
drop it like it's hot no you're not getting sexual seduction i was angry at that i wanted to hear that that might have
- 21:30
been two weeks actually to play in the room with dmx still like yeah this is like the saint that like this the dogs is in here like
- 21:36
sexual seduction is like we ain't gonna go i joined this crazy big record great record great record but under you
- 21:42
know read the room how we say read through no i understand i think i think x but that's the other but wait that's the other thing
- 21:48
that blew me away about x and his enigma this was the first time i saw it like in
- 21:55
real time in the versus battle where yes you are snoop is clearly your
- 22:00
o.g and you have said that but snoop's respect for who you are
- 22:08
almost matches that right it's not you you can't little bro me
- 22:13
right oh yeah no no no i don't think i don't think snoop even carried that energy into that no he didn't but snoop doo don't do that with everybody well it
- 22:20
don't matter because sometimes if that's your aura then that's your aura x's aura was still
- 22:26
x's aura even with snoop it was like it was like a beautiful dance watching them right yeah and i think
- 22:32
everybody felt that and let me tell you talk about a string of records i have never jammed in a verses
- 22:38
the way i jammed when ain't no fun money cash hoes whatever they started
- 22:44
doing there yeah it was like oh my god oh my god i'm so
- 22:49
great i'm so glad i'm alive to see this i'm so glad i'm alive to see it and
- 22:54
snoop dog and it goes back to my point that i make all the time here and again don't take me no way but [ __ ] and their relationships and
- 23:02
[ __ ] that's cool with [ __ ] versus [ __ ] that ain't and that's it i'll leave it there
- 23:08
but that was on full display also what came away with x even though snoop matched that energy with murder was the
- 23:14
case um you beating me up with your different bags you beating me up with these bags the
- 23:20
same same bag different energy let me go do something with this now
- 23:26
see rarefied air that slipping bag flipping was the best that's slipping back that song of the night hey we asked
- 23:32
that question before this battle came and i was wrong i was like listen anything loses against g thing
- 23:37
and all that [ __ ] that's not true slipping was different yeah it felt good it felt different
- 23:43
yeah i almost cried this is however many years later and you watching it's almost like i cry
- 23:49
when i listen i want to know off the rage album because it's like i'm looking at my kid i'm all right now i had another kid it's like the story in
- 23:55
in culmination same thing you're looking at x and you hear and slip and you remember when where you was when slip
- 24:01
and slipping is one of them songs that saved a lot of our lives yeah great record yeah i feel murdered was the case because i know what snoop was
- 24:07
going through first rapper ever to be going through that at that time yeah so i gave that there was both real ones
- 24:13
amazing he shocked me with that yeah i said oh [ __ ] see he got a little bit in that bag but
- 24:19
x-bag is just different if x plays x's intro the one the one it just goes a little different
- 24:26
the feel of it but uh do we think uh i i believe swiss had a lot to do with the sequencing i think he uh
- 24:33
i do too yeah he's sitting right there with the dj with battle okay he was right there i actually actually which i have no issue with i actually
- 24:39
make it as best it was so it was so good the back and forth pause that i think that they actually sat down
- 24:45
together and did this i wouldn't be shy let me tell you something
- 24:54
anybody just together as they should though and let me tell you something uh not the [ __ ] on uh the instagram
- 25:00
experience uh because that uh the apple tv experience has a maybe a
- 25:05
10 second lag 15 seconds yeah but it is um far and better far far cry better
- 25:12
picture quality than watching apple and being on twitter is is the best way for me yeah yeah so far i missed the interaction from the
- 25:18
instagram comments but whatever i'm kind of over it because i don't really care about them anymore i don't care about all these videos it's
- 25:24
just bad hey we're trendy look at us caring about dmx and like mad actors ex plays two records
- 25:30
that i didn't like when they came out and i was reminded how much i don't like him now and i was just
- 25:35
i thought i wish he would have played switch those records out yeah there's a couple which were what on both sides going to
- 25:40
give it to you i always i never liked that record even when it first came out and get it on the floor i know i love getting on the floor i
- 25:47
never like i thought you're gonna say party up party up is my least favorite song of all time and it's the one that didn't work the most
- 25:53
yeah no i don't want to work the most i don't acknowledge the fact that it's a huge record and that may be part of the reason why i dislike it so much is
- 25:59
because they played it so much everywhere you went that part we go to vegas where all the white cheeks is that
- 26:05
right now the records coming on absolutely probably played out as [ __ ] ships and yo to my surprise sure i never thought that
- 26:12
that was like the hurrah record but when it came on i gave him a point
- 26:17
party up mm-hmm against what was that again no way no way oh wait
- 26:28
one record peaked maybe peaked higher and had cooler affiliations that's back
- 26:33
to my friend point had cooler affiliations so it played a lot for a shorter amount of time party up is
- 26:41
still on and me always drop it like i said they're both huge records i don't hear that anymore i still hear that yeah drop it like it's
- 26:47
hot they still play a huge record i haven't heard it but i do i love the record i just haven't heard it
- 26:52
i love party up felt good against dropping i listen to the drama before this battle i would have never thought that i would have done it like
- 26:58
that that's a great matchup so you know this was x heated up at the end exited
- 27:04
in the second half strong in the second half it was like all right snoop go ahead and keep playing yeah yeah started playing a lot
- 27:10
of uh more left songs i think except for the last like three
- 27:15
the middle the middle is really where x started picking up a lot of steam listen talk about a celebration that was
- 27:21
indeed a celebration i want to thank all parties involved whoever had anything to do with
- 27:27
putting this event together thank you uh i don't care about the numbers but go ahead rory read them off
- 27:32
oh i don't care about them either well don't read half a million concurrent viewers 2
- 27:38
million total viewers uh 26 million in stream likes uh on apple music 600 000 congruent viewers
- 27:46
1.4 million total viewers 1.7 billion impressions
- 27:52
impressions are stupid but i'm glad y'all got that yeah number one trending topic no shout
- 27:58
out to swizz and uh and timberland yeah this was a classic man shout out to snoop shout out to x thank you for the great music over
- 28:05
20-something years man that's that's not easy to do can i be a debbie downer now sure
- 28:10
critical analysis no i'm just gonna be a debbie downer okay got killed on twitter and i don't think
- 28:17
my timing was bad at all why you ain't called me rory i would have helped you oh i don't know what he's about to get
- 28:23
into uh i'm about to laugh on his daddy debbie downer moment i don't laugh at it no you gotta say it
- 28:28
it's the same the same way twitter did you got to say it first go ahead in the middle of the battle after slipping
- 28:35
x had not freestyle at all i take x's uh lyrics very seriously i know he does as well as you should they're they're very
- 28:41
important to him i don't think he just says [ __ ] to say it it's not a super lyrical miracle rapper
- 28:48
he picks his words very carefully so i know they mean a lot to him so in the middle of a battle he felt
- 28:55
the need to tell us that he was sexually abused at 13
- 29:00
by a 26 year old woman then consciously told us he felt okay with it because he wanted sneakers
- 29:06
then went on to tell us how it affected his life that he couldn't stop [ __ ] [ __ ]
- 29:11
because he was sexually abused as a kid and there wasn't one [ __ ] outrage
- 29:17
think piece if anyone else said that [ __ ] at any other time twitter would stop but i'm the debbie
- 29:24
downer that says would you want us did you stop the stream nah i just want y'all to be consistent in your outrage see i could see jj
- 29:30
already coming in the locker room and saying be consistent like if that came from a different
- 29:36
person twitter would stop we would have panels
- 29:42
think pieces it would be the topic of every single radio station vlog youtube all that [ __ ]
- 29:49
the world would stop i agree but because it came from him
- 29:55
him him it does not matter it was laughed out the building when i
- 30:01
think it's more than just that it came from him i think it's more than that i think it's uh
- 30:06
i think a lot of people are familiar with with that part of ex's story
- 30:12
um i don't think they are i mean i know they they're aware he went through a lot
- 30:17
uh i was i did not read x's book i was made aware that he didn't mention it in his book
- 30:23
then with i'm very well versed in x's catalog he's my top 10 favorite rappers
- 30:29
can't remember a time where he specifically talked about that topic like it is new news and let's say let's
- 30:35
say it's not new news it's something he brought up on a platform that got 1.7 billion impressions had this been
- 30:43
brought up you things come back into the light when they had been talked about for years but in this
- 30:48
climate that we're in now they're elevated they're brought back up they're re-discussed they're cared about no matter when they were told
- 30:56
so why the [ __ ] when he says that it's not an issue keeping a debbie down
- 31:03
i don't have the answers were we i don't either no no y'all do i don't i just want to
- 31:09
say it no i don't i don't have to i just want to say i don't know why people didn't get an up
- 31:14
range of raw about it i don't know i understand what you're saying i agree but it's just i don't know why
- 31:19
people didn't stop and say oh that was [ __ ] up x went through that who is this woman she needs to be
- 31:24
whatever like i don't i think the world generally views uh a man sleeping with an older woman like
- 31:29
that is go him okay he was 13. that's why i'm not saying that's why
- 31:35
it's like no i i agree i agree but he very consciously told us how it affected his life
- 31:41
and why he thought it was okay most of y'all male friends started having sex that way yeah i know
- 31:47
i don't think it was that old much older though twice twice the age i don't know if it was twice the age she was 26 he was 13
- 31:54
like joe i lost my virginity a year after that but it was a girl that was a year older
- 31:59
than me that's not sexual abuse yeah you're correct a lot of my friends lost their virginity to women in their
- 32:06
20s it's wrong like it needs to be talked about it's a predatory [ __ ] we've been talking
- 32:12
about predators for the past two weeks for sure i agree how the [ __ ] is this not predatory behavior and why does it
- 32:18
not matter when it's this situation or this scenario well i think that x wasn't
- 32:23
he wasn't speaking like a victim maybe that's why they didn't really feed into it he wasn't coming across like he was
- 32:29
like all right so let's get into victims then [Laughter] we've only talked about how victims a
- 32:35
lot of times don't even realize they're victims well in any case let's pray for all victims absolutely
- 32:42
and let's take all cases of sexual abuse seriously agree i'm watching
- 32:50
come on go ahead analytic man get us to the funnies no i the room is heavy the room is heavy
- 32:56
that's awkward i feel like rory was triggered by x's law yeah i mean so now i'm delicate
- 33:02
with it trying to make sure he's all right yeah rory might have had an aggressive babysitter
- 33:07
a handsy one
- 33:12
if we want to joke about me being sexually assaulted sure no no no we don't want to joke about that
- 33:18
no you won't tell us about your capital gap experience
- 33:32
all right come on let's have some fun you guys okay well i don't know that it's fun what do you want to talk about
- 33:40
wait wait actually before we leave this versus thing and i don't have too much on here because we we've been long on this um but you see keisha cole brought the
- 33:47
smoke right to uh ashanti's front door oh she wants to saw that versus yeah that'd be a good matchup
- 33:53
i think ashanti winning that but if you add in the features ashanti is tough to beat and if you add
- 33:59
in her writing ashanti is tough to beat i don't think that ashanti beats kicha cole really no really got too many hit hit
- 34:07
hit she has big records man i'm not talking about catalog i'm talking about hit hit hit hits
- 34:12
yeah i think keisha cole has a a longer list of records that could go
- 34:18
off in the verses that's what i think that's without me checking anything she held it i know the first the first first
- 34:24
instinct is to say ashanti wins this because she's been a part of a much bigger movement bigger record she's written more like you all said
- 34:30
i just don't think that she's get let me let me uh rephrase i don't think she's getting keisha out of here very easily okay okay because i don't
- 34:37
know maybe i don't think keisha would win but she's not getting her out of there easy let's just look at this list of singles
- 34:42
that charted how many is that because i'm bad at counting say that's that looks like 18.
- 34:51
see but wait if she's just gonna give me the the hooks that she was on yeah of course that's part of it let's
- 34:57
hold it come on yeah that's why just don't then come on but other than that see and that's my point back
- 35:02
if you want to go back back to x and snoop i just think it's a solo artist you didn't give fab that bail so don't
- 35:08
don't use that scenario now i never thought fab would need that bill his catalog
- 35:13
speaks for itself that was that was the discussion that was a discussion we had about why would i ever think i need to
- 35:19
do a disclaimer for fab's catalog no no because our conversation when that battle happened
- 35:24
maul brought up kiss played maybe three records from a solo kiss album or song two i see what you're
- 35:32
saying no no no no no no no no no no needs to be no that still stands ashanti have a blast i don't know i'm saying
- 35:38
wait wait with x and snoop with we just need to be consistent i said one no my argument is the same hey if you
- 35:44
was on it you wrote it play that [ __ ] i'm just telling you the personal effect it has on me
- 35:49
when somebody is standing there with no co-sign through their whole career and just playing joints like it does
- 35:55
something to me yeah that's it but no it still stands still i just want to give fab
- 36:00
his credit if we're having that type of conversation because fat played his [ __ ] all right now where do you want to go
- 36:06
give it to me nah come on go ahead harden
- 36:22
i sent him out of here the organization loved him like now it's [ __ ] hard and give me the
- 36:28
ball you got russell right next to you chandler um do y'all want to get into you want to get into this dream stuff
- 36:35
this dream this dragon mag stuff yeah i guess we could talk about it for a second she was wrong
- 36:42
we were wrong that's what i got we were wrong she's wrong we were wrong yeah uh hell yeah
- 36:50
that's what you're saying i think you're saying we were wrong about drea different wrongs yeah yeah different wrongs but still wrong
- 36:57
yeah can you go in the kitchen and get fun roaring my god why the [ __ ] is this [ __ ] you
- 37:03
want to talk about i want to have some [ __ ] fun we all were wrong all right we know who the [ __ ]
- 37:12
how did all right let's joke about drea joking about it go ahead give it to me i want come on come on double double i'm down
- 37:19
why we can't talk about dream being wrong without talking about us being wrong because it's hypocritical nah she this
- 37:25
was a little this was flagrant this this we did not do this this was saying hey i don't believe in love if my
- 37:32
uh partner is not domestic domestically abusing me yeah yeah probably not a great way to view life
- 37:40
and it was saying like hey if you're a woman and you feel like that that you got your view of love is [ __ ] up
- 37:45
like an issue i would die for that why is she not grateful yeah it was distasteful it was bad it
- 37:51
was just tasteful yesterday we were just so she's going on to to apologize and and clean up you
- 37:56
know the mess that she made but she did she did apologize
- 38:02
yeah she apologized she didn't apologize people were sending uh the the meg tweet when meg tweeted dumb
- 38:07
[ __ ] that [ __ ] ain't [ __ ] funny who the [ __ ] jokes about getting shot by [ __ ] and then the other tweet about and you [ __ ] making jokes about that
- 38:12
is flagrant some of y'all were sending that to me let me be the first to inform you uh meg and i still follow one another
- 38:18
take that [ __ ] ooh got him there it's inputs hey we just last we spoke about the importance of an unfollow
- 38:25
we just spoke about it uh and i don't think that was directed at this podcast no no no no no it was the memes all
- 38:33
yeah but that particular day it was drea and cam yeah more or less yeah it was just it
- 38:41
was distasteful but she apologized so yeah i'm not trying to kill her do you
- 38:46
want to read the apology or no sure i'll read it where's that i just want to take a minute to address victims
- 38:52
of domestic violence and abuse of any kind and just overall humans i was wrong to insinuate that there's room for violence and
- 38:58
loving relationships or any relationship for that matter i was wrong to try to find humor or make light
- 39:04
of the situation and understand that my joking nature was damaging and hurtful it was poor judgment and i deeply regret
- 39:10
it this is a sincere apology for me to everyone it is always my intention to uplift women and especially black women
- 39:17
through my platforms my business and my words no you might be rushed you you can read
- 39:22
your body that read i mean you know that's true okay i'll do what i can while i'm here you can't do the tunnel with a good fit on
- 39:28
yeah and then she came back with i truly don't glorify domestic violence i was trying to say just love me deeply but while trying to be
- 39:35
funny i offended many including meg and i'm sorry let me attempt to ask you guys a question
- 39:40
respectfully of course sure uh if you haven't heard the the adam 22 theory that's floating around
- 39:48
i saw the clip great so i don't have to mention it um well actually i've already mentioned
- 39:54
it i said a few weeks ago do you guys look at this any differently if tory comes out and and says that this was in self-defense
- 40:02
and i guess you guys all answered and said no no just never know unless meg had a
- 40:07
weapon and she was his life was in danger there's no excuse for that
- 40:13
yeah if she was according to that story violating him no it's there's not room
- 40:19
to pull out a gun and shoot her no sorry
- 40:24
so there are no facts that could be released about this story to make you view him any differently of course if she had a gun or she had a
- 40:32
weapon of course for sure if she had a weapon then i may be able to try to look at it
- 40:38
differently a weapon yeah not gun but a weapon a weapon knife
- 40:44
gun got it baseball bat whatever something ice pick if she didn't have
- 40:49
she didn't have a weapon that he felt like his life was in danger there's no excuse for that i'm sorry
- 40:55
and again we'll wait for facts but this allegedly happened in the car correct that he was not
- 41:01
driving yes she would she had got out the car so yes i need to hear more facts before i say
- 41:07
that would be justified yeah but as it stands no if it was just hands and words and
- 41:15
there's no excuse for that but let's wait for facts always i'm always
- 41:20
willing to do that you're sick why are you laughing at me come on because i just laughing at me i just
- 41:28
think i view your brain a little differently you're just a sick person
- 41:33
because i have a question for you i have a question for you y'all didn't react y'all didn't react to my uh burnt ass
- 41:40
cheat crevice i didn't know what you were oh we kept that question we didn't keep it okay we didn't keep it because y'all didn't react to it but you
- 41:46
didn't know no i told you that i i prefer my ass crispy so here's my new
- 41:53
a little crunch on there yeah i like things like you look like a texture guy yeah
- 41:58
overcooked is always better i just like the shot going up yeah okay that's not like a shot going up
- 42:03
here here it is what do you think what do you think about your girl saying that your friend is cute can you
- 42:11
hook him up with a friend of hers meaning that she wants to [ __ ] your friend that's cute
- 42:16
[Laughter] that's that's what you take it to me like if she says your friend is cute but
- 42:22
i have a friend you don't think about the friend what'd you take it to me oh i just laughed oh yeah
- 42:28
i got a friend fam what do you mean what that means they don't say my friends i i'm with you no because they don't say
- 42:34
it that way but they say it be like oh your friend is he's so funny like all right why why you want to hook
- 42:41
him up then what not qualities than that they say [ __ ] like why why is he single like i got a friend
- 42:47
for him no i don't do this [ __ ] that's what they do that's the new like yo he's attractive
- 42:52
they hook him up with the fine friends like yeah gotta shoot him
- 43:03
shoot them and then cut them off see it's a joke rewind
- 43:15
have you ever been the ugly friend in the crew that met shorty first and then she was disappointed the way the chicks
- 43:20
always talk about it yes doesn't it feel like a good victory for you though
- 43:26
oh it's by myself [ __ ] always yes i won tricked you i scored he's a stud
- 43:34
you didn't see my best friend that's why you didn't meet me in the gym with him yeah absolutely for sure i
- 43:40
scored once you scored that's it yeah scored it yeah no i actually what about me after that i actually stole all his
- 43:46
jokes to bag you hey hey yo y'all keeper y'all keep away your friends to get [ __ ]
- 44:09
i've kept my friends away to get [ __ ] because i know they'd ruin it facts
- 44:16
a woman right now i don't know there's no way i can bring you guys you gotta know which rounds to bring
- 44:24
all right great now we pardon tell me about your lion friend oh i mean that's the most valuable
- 44:29
friend you have i'm the lion friend because i'm single so yeah you kind of have my friends rely on me but i just get mad when they don't
- 44:35
tell me that they lied every time i think i got you all in the corner you guys just [ __ ] know why they lie
- 44:43
why the lion friend is so irresponsible is because maul you're the single friend right what
- 44:49
if you even want to have something no cool fly relationship no he's not oh i'm ending i'm not sure i've never
- 44:57
had to fly because no i'm a single friend my girl knows that i don't hang out with
- 45:03
maul outside of the podcast so i can't lie on you you can't allow me yeah i was with maul no you weren't no
- 45:09
you were not now i know you're lying yeah yeah more follows me you're not with him
- 45:15
more follows my whole squad he's with my own girl right there uptown right yeah probably but no it's a it's a it's a
- 45:21
burden you have to take cause now you can't even be cool and fly with your man's girl like that because now she views you as like the [ __ ]
- 45:28
that gets my man into all these situations that i hate parks and road give me your new favorite your new favorite lie to your
- 45:34
girl uh uh it's always the studio yeah i'm about to say i've ever
- 45:39
finally i've finally been allowed the privilege to use the studio line
- 45:44
and it's pretty good it's a really good one can't fight it there's no way for them to fight it no
- 45:49
they're they're totally i tried it once it didn't work no they're going to fight anything they'll fight you you're going to deny
- 45:55
the fighters to use it i didn't mean it worked you know they'll fight you if you have a to five they'll fight that you're going to your nine to five on wednesday
- 46:01
they'll find a way to fight something but when they know that you're actually into music and entertainment you could be mad
- 46:06
but you should get into me trying to explain that we did two episodes in one day with benny oh she wasn't trying to do that you did
- 46:12
come home a tad bit late that night yes oh nine o'clock by the way and don't even
- 46:18
hear uh her response to not had to drop joe off oh joe is a driver oh yeah yeah well his
- 46:25
driver was both i don't know what the driver don't take days off yeah you did drop me off sam if you're listening
- 46:32
how was the ride in the mozzie rory did drop me off and rory's not befriended anymore that i'll lie for like i don't
- 46:37
[ __ ] with him like that that's true yeah yeah anymore yeah no i don't think i've thrown joe to lie in years
- 46:45
that's why i make up names that i rely on like it's not nobody that's real it's tony you've been hanging with tony
- 46:51
for months [Laughter] there's no way that she can find any questions no not at all
- 46:58
yo my friend baron i told you about yeah he's moving look what baron is doing got
- 47:04
to help him move the whole week and i'm just spending the night with him and spend the night with him big house we gotta get up
- 47:13
i'm so mad about it oh no anytime you lie you got to be mad so mad about i don't even want to [ __ ] help it is that baron right
- 47:19
there no this ain't baron right here who could this be it must be someone that doesn't know i'm potting
- 47:25

- 48:49
dinosaurs dinosaurs we're talking about dinosaurs pretty serious this is serious stuff right important
- 48:55
this is serious stuff yeah i think in a month y'all could take this podcast to the end of the contract without me
- 49:05
we pulled that remember remember we were saying that he's like yeah we could do this [ __ ] i think we could do it yeah now's the time
- 49:12

- 49:32
record down dinosaurs came in all colors [Applause]
- 49:38
[Laughter] no no no no lupe i love you today i love
- 49:44
you lupe i think you're probably one of the greatest rappers of all time no you got his number i love your
- 49:50
catalogue i respect your catalogue but we need to get into this record
- 49:55
featuring virgil i don't want to get into the record i want to get into his weed dealer because i want that strand that made him
- 50:01
go on the move and that was the bar he came in with dinosaurs came in all colors
- 50:08
please answer the phone please of course she's not going to answer anymore get off instagram come on
- 50:15
word he's on live right now i'm sure i'm leaving a message i don't care
- 50:23
he ain't going to work he definitely doesn't have a voicemail anyone with samurai swords did not set
- 50:28
up their voicemail thursday thursday i fell asleep
- 50:33
somewhere around 10 30. i woke up at 12 30 i get really excited when that happens on thursdays
- 50:39
you get to wake up and check the music right uh open up the uh
- 50:44
itunes app for first thing i see taylor swift you mean spotify no um no i mean
- 50:53
exactly what i said uh first thing i saw taylor swift scrolled right by that get out of here
- 50:59
looking for an artist i enjoy see i like that at around one in the morning who we got here
- 51:05
sixth product lupe okay we stopped there we stopped at whoa
- 51:10
always stop that loop that's all that's that instant that feeling you get when you see someone you enjoy
- 51:16
sitting there with a project that you didn't necessarily expect right click on it immediately lupe is an
- 51:22
automatic listen for me click on it but there's only like four songs i want to say yeah four five five records
- 51:30
first one intro and four records but cool out at the intro rock for a little bit i didn't just hit it with the immediate purchase
- 51:35
heard what virgil's you know i mean you didn't you didn't give it twenty dollars i'll be honest i was turned off okay
- 51:42
reasonable i didn't want to see virgil's name on track one like i don't care but i got it uh i'm still rolling
- 51:49
because lupe's my man track two co it comes on it's called dinosaurs can't wait to see where you're going with this
- 51:54
one and sure enough the track is indeed about dinosaurs all right and if you didn't know the
- 52:01
history and origin of dinosaurs it's right here for you lupe is right here track two on
- 52:06
this project to tell you the truth about dinosaurs
- 52:21
so far i'm doing the knowledge
- 52:32
yo starting your new project off with dinosaurs [ __ ] in their nest
- 52:38
[Music] you know there's a thing of there's a thing called trying
- 52:43
they didn't have beds called this yeah but it's a thing called trying to be two and they reproduced and there's only
- 52:48
one way to do that sex yo and how does lupine know that
- 52:55
his sword told him you know he got some magic support
- 53:02
i don't think this is funny
- 53:25
we need an ad lib there yo but who y'all got is a better a r
- 53:31
virgil or lebron virgil clearly i'm waiting for the deluxe
- 53:36
hey they want to take these please man i'm just trying to figure out what it's all there what's the
- 53:42
motivation for this record dinosaurs yeah but what is he doing i don't wanna
- 53:47
no hold on like lupe is a complex he's one of those complex minds he thinks you know on a whole different so i'm just trying
- 53:52
to figure it out like sometimes you have to go into the artist world and try to figure it out i don't understand this hey lupe let me tell you something buddy
- 53:59
good thing i bumped into that jock wheezing chris brown record [Laughter]
- 54:07
hey hey cause it was a slow music release day it was it wasn't much there if i didn't see
- 54:14
another song i liked oh buddy i was killing this dinosaur
- 54:20
oh man well he continued on i know i no no no i didn't though yeah no i got the [ __ ] off of this
- 54:27
glue to my seat really i want to learn about dinosaurs
- 54:35
it didn't sound like that i promise you i can assure you it didn't
- 54:41
maybe i cut i cut this [ __ ] off it wasn't the time at 1 30 a.m for me to
- 54:48
eat no no no no and dinosaurs i was like you know what i'ma come back let me come back to them we'll come back
- 54:54
to it well it went over your heads that's all that's it you just not you want to do knowledge
- 54:59
i'm not ready i love lupe but this one i'm i'm oh no the rest the rest of the ep is good
- 55:05
yeah just starting this way or putting this record on here period i think this is great
- 55:10
[Laughter] rory rory they didn't really know how to
- 55:16
make votes you're missing
- 55:43
i'm going home an hour so i don't care
- 55:54
break it down race relations in a little dinosaur bag right now i have a black oh no he's about to get into the barrantosaurus i got about
- 56:00
three more rebounds than me until summed me out sub me out [ __ ] this
- 56:08
all right but i'm glad you said the project was cool oh no outside of the dinosaurs record it is a it is a good ep
- 56:13
including the dinosaurs record it's a good ep so the other three songs are good yes they are okay all right it's a good
- 56:19
good loop ap love lupe but i love dinosaurs never mind man
- 56:25
okay i'll take your word for it your man lodge came out oh yeah we're going to lodge at the
- 56:31
review i don't know if we're going to do it in depth oh i thought joe wanted to like really
- 56:36
come on give us a deep dive yeah of one of your faves yeah that's the standout track was it cohesive i don't have tell us
- 56:43
about this is there a juxtaposition i don't know no is it a concept album
- 56:48
i don't know is this going to move the needle on his career move the needle [Laughter]
- 56:55
he told us his career is over the nigel is no longer a new streaming platform that's all it's
- 57:01
not over all right a new career logic was uh crying on twitch
- 57:06
i haven't he's got to get the views up for his new adventure look i want to thank kendrick
- 57:14
because he doesn't know how much he was there for me nicole is this is this you drake or like an
- 57:20
asap and ferg and mac demarco man it's [ __ ] twirly
- 57:26
[ __ ] used to thank [ __ ] cats and lowering them after every do say and record and there's there's too many
- 57:33
people man i appreciate you all i bid you farewell
- 57:41
and as always where you got that from i'm obediently yours i won't be the english language
- 57:46
well for the first time in my career because it hurts me
- 57:53
and every time i released an album i just wanted to be loved and this time i don't check the internet
- 57:58
because i finally love myself so thank you so much
- 58:05
and as always peace love and positivity you're welcome logic i love you i appreciate you we love you back
- 58:12
and i'll see you in other endeavors i'm off to be a good father see you on twitter thank you where is he going
- 58:19
twitch to twitch to be a good father on twitter and why is this man hugging an alien and why
- 58:26
look at his his bodyguards he's teenagers crying crying in front of his crew damn bad knight
- 58:31
i'm not listen i'm not mad at him crying yeah i i just understand of his word
- 58:45
no i'm trying to understand like what is he what is he crying where is he going he's just not twisted his career as a rapper is over he's
- 58:52
putting out music he's streaming music on twitch now just okay you're not on twitch this is his goodbye
- 58:58
did you hear more [ __ ] just said yo i haven't loved myself now i finally do and i'm out to be a great father and
- 59:05
you're like yo what's up with him what's the problem man i just don't listen man don't get it
- 59:11
yeah cause i probably i'm not i'm i'm honestly confused because you can put out hey that's more
- 59:16
logic hive don't stop at joe no i'm just trying to understand because you can still put out music and be a
- 59:23
great father the two things exist together that's what i'm talking about cold got
- 59:29
you fooled what are you talking
- 59:42
they're a bunch of great musicians that are great parents like you can't be serious saying that oh that's stupid this is stupid why does
- 59:49
why you can't be a great parent to be a great musician well i didn't make that rule i'm asking you i'm just asking you i don't know what makes you think that
- 59:55
because of the pattern what pattern well it's not a serious fight for me no
- 1:00:00
no i'm just saying i'm trying to understand i'm looking for understanding i'm trying to understand what is this what is this
- 1:00:06
about why is he crying why you're not where are you going you're just putting out music exclusively on another playlist
- 1:00:12
come on man this [ __ ] to see people are too weird man
- 1:00:19
there's too much weird [ __ ] going on man i'm sorry all of this [ __ ] is weird like i'll get it be a great dad but you can
- 1:00:25
still put out music and be a great dad he's inspiring why he didn't put out great music before the kids
- 1:00:31
see i said you can i didn't say he did i said you can you can still put out great music and be a
- 1:00:37
great father but whatever so joe you didn't enjoy uh what's the album called
- 1:00:42
no pressure no pressure [ __ ] what did you think about the albums i'm trying to put me on the [ __ ] spot well you said that you what did you do
- 1:00:49
to it and i listened to it now what did you think about i thought it was good music but i'm never gonna listen to it again it's the same good
- 1:00:57
i listen to good music all the time yo you guys you all got the top music podcast yo
- 1:01:02
i see how the goodman you just have all the arguments that [ __ ] was so great i'm never playing
- 1:01:07
it again yo who got the best music podcast in the world we have all the things i listen to good music all the time yo it's a classic but
- 1:01:14
i ain't like it yeah it's just not this content is not for me that's all he can rap
- 1:01:19
what what content i'll be saying come on cuz i'm the only one that got attacked by the logic hive no but it's not
- 1:01:25
yeah it's all about rapping he was he told a whole story about rapping in the grocery store
- 1:01:30
i can't acknowledge that someone is good at rapping yeah he can not care about what they're rapping about he can rap i'm never gonna say that
- 1:01:36
logic can't rap but just the music to me is not something i listen to i don't go back and listen all right
- 1:01:41
well let's have that i like the i like the couple records but that's it let's do it cool you can rhyme words together really [ __ ] well
- 1:01:48
and fast cool awesome about groceries why is that more of a stay and this isn't a logic thing this is just more to
- 1:01:54
that conversation of saying he can rap really well if you're not saying [ __ ] who cares i'll take content over rapping ability
- 1:02:01
anytime if you're not saying [ __ ] i need a little bit of both but yeah i understand no no no the best are the people that can really rap and have
- 1:02:07
content right then it comes down to content and then it comes down to people that can rap i don't give a [ __ ] that you can rhyme words together really
- 1:02:12
well what are you saying right i try not to really share much of my opinions because i'm clear that the way i view music are you serious
- 1:02:19
yeah well no definitely when it comes to rapping it's going to be beautiful i know that on here it maybe sounds like i give it up give
- 1:02:25
it up but even when i'm giving it up i feel like it's only a small sector of people who kind of follow what
- 1:02:32
i'm saying because i'm normally scatterbrained and arguing my points and not only that because you're you're a rapper and i'm an artist and people
- 1:02:38
are gonna oh my artist i've gone i've gone through it i kind of just viewed things very differently let me
- 1:02:44
know let me start with yeah i am not angry at anybody who says logic is a great rapper right
- 1:02:51
let me start there because i think in some of my just being silly with my friends i just say [ __ ] and y'all run with it
- 1:02:57
because y'all don't have anything else to talk about and cool so logic is not the worst rapper in the world
- 1:03:03
logic can rap my issue with logic has never been well
- 1:03:10
let me not say never is not the fact that he sounds like he can rap
- 1:03:16
but it's just that that he sounds like he can rap i listen to this album and i
- 1:03:23
must say it's one of the better logic projects out of the last three okay no id did a great job with uh
- 1:03:31
the soundscape and i hear industry work i hear what it could have been but because i've
- 1:03:38
been in this game i also know what a collection of songs just sounds like
- 1:03:43
and logic for me has always sounded like just a collection of songs
- 1:03:50
logic sounds like gentrification to me for me logic sounds like the guy that is
- 1:03:58
standing furthest away from the equator but is here to tell you all about it
- 1:04:04
it's it doesn't say that he can't rap as a little white boy growing up listening to rap who's bright
- 1:04:11
i'm sure you can listen and figure out how to rhyme some [ __ ] which is why you probably hear some of his influences
- 1:04:17
in him or at least the attempt but as far as soul like the fabric
- 1:04:25
of the core of his music i don't feel it i don't feel it and i don't believe it
- 1:04:33
and the content is not for me the first song he started telling me about how he was uh struggling growing up in the bed with
- 1:04:39
his nine sisters or whatever the [ __ ] he said i don't know but it was like ah cool i don't want that from i don't
- 1:04:46
that ain't that's not what i'm here for from you it don't match for me a lot about rap is how you ha the
- 1:04:53
image less about rap and the image and what we get from you logic's image i don't need what he attempts to give me
- 1:05:00
and it don't connect versus give me another white boy versus a russ
- 1:05:08
a rust beat come on you could feel the bop like before there's a word said you
- 1:05:14
could feel a certain bop you could feel a pocket you could feel like a certain appreciation it don't just sound like
- 1:05:19
pander music every time i listen to logic it sounds like he's pandering to a specific
- 1:05:25
audience and that's been forever yeah so joe says i hate i don't ask you his first album
- 1:05:33
like it came out right after good kid mad city and i felt like at the time
- 1:05:39
he followed even the exact sequencing he had like the mad city like the trappy kind of song
- 1:05:44
like at the same spot on his album and then the next album came out and
- 1:05:50
kendra could just come with all right and it used those jazzy chords on the keyboard that no one in the history of mankind has ever used for all freak that
- 1:05:57
then his next single had the jazzy voice chords that's why i've always been turned off to logic although he can rap and he has
- 1:06:03
good production on his albums yes you just don't feel like it's it's you feel like it's a copy paste it's a bit a little bit just
- 1:06:10
i don't i don't like the integration that's that's a good way that's a good way to flow through all of it as well
- 1:06:16
i don't like i may like the song and i may like the beat i never like his integration into what
- 1:06:23
he's on ever that's joe not telling logic hive how to feel and yes he should be able to
- 1:06:28
retire peacefully and joe shouldn't have anything to say it don't matter logic loves me hold up but what did y'all say what he
- 1:06:34
said he said it right hold up
- 1:06:47
yeah you're both black man we're not brothers and we're not one in the same but i do understand what he was saying i love you too logic
- 1:06:55
nicest guy in the world but when y'all say retiring
- 1:07:02
your camp your camp started this what is your retirement he's streaming his music on twitch now
- 1:07:08
no no he's doing this gaming this album i think he's doing that on twitch is that what he's doing no he's doing that on twitch as well but he's
- 1:07:14
his music is going to be streamed exclusively retired and i'm not making any more music more you know what retirement means but he's
- 1:07:21
gonna make more music and just put it out on twitch listen i don't know that
- 1:07:26
i'm happy for logic i'm happy that this album is better than a few of the albums i'm happy that his
- 1:07:33
fan base is really enjoying this and this is a great way to go out on on a higher note for you i like that
- 1:07:41
and that's where i'll stop i'm not going to get into a r.a the rugged man rant i read the post
- 1:07:49
i did too it was a weird description anytime you think joe's
- 1:07:54
little tension or beef list can't get weirder it does right tell you is there an award for that uh it should
- 1:08:01
be our yeah the title of our group chat that's just just every name oh we gotta add it we gotta add all right to the
- 1:08:07
group chat no we don't
- 1:08:16
like even cold like because i heard the cold pack when i woke up that night i think the
- 1:08:22
first one i heard was the climb back and before cole said a word on it i
- 1:08:28
felt it yeah that's what i mean just about the fabric of your [ __ ] the soul of your
- 1:08:34
[ __ ] and that's not a color thing again i brought up rust rust makes music
- 1:08:40
that i feel a lot of the time sometimes well and he also makes his white boy music let's not act like
- 1:08:46
m doesn't have feeling when it comes to white rappers probably one of the more feeling rappers
- 1:08:52
that you could bring up so no i don't think you're suggesting it's a color thing gotta explain it for the idiots out there
- 1:08:58
but yeah definitely not a uh color thing i felt this climb back [ __ ] before j cole said a word both of these tracks
- 1:09:04
were i love the the beats climb back is the one though the first one from the first one for me
- 1:09:10
at least yeah me too then don't say it's the one so definitively then
- 1:09:15
for me it's the one and what do you mean by the one come on elaborate uh i bought out of a two pack you
- 1:09:21
compare because that's what we do in hip-hop uh it's the one that i prefer i like coal with that
- 1:09:27
type of sample and b and just rapping i like hearing cole's perspective i like
- 1:09:33
to hear where cole can just tell us what's going on in his life without it having to be
- 1:09:39
part of an album a pressure of competing with the other two gentlemen in his tier when
- 1:09:45
he can just tell us what the [ __ ] is going on and how he thinks in this moment i like lucy's a lot from
- 1:09:52
people like cole me too i like him from drake although i like him from people that can just get their [ __ ] off
- 1:09:58
without any pressure that this has to be part of an album i can just tell you what's going
- 1:10:03
on and i'm a great rapper and i'm going to pick a beat that's minimal that has a good sample a easy drum pattern i'm
- 1:10:09
going to talk my [ __ ] i think he did say these are from down though oh great well then never mind but still
- 1:10:14
my point still stands you know i'm not having any pressure of this needs to be on a chart right right right like i'll just talk
- 1:10:21
they're still going to chart of course they will yeah of course i mean where they are in their careers it will
- 1:10:27
but they you know they have to subscribe to whatever the single-esque pattern is i'm glad
- 1:10:33
cole is liking the t-minus connection yeah yeah t-minus it works it works well
- 1:10:40
yeah it works this is one of his best uh to me one of his best lyrical performances on the climb back
- 1:10:47
you think so yeah no i think he wrapped his ass off on this by far i think that's i just think that's a big statement because cole can
- 1:10:53
write he jumped in and out a lot of different flows there was a lot of lyrical venom
- 1:10:59
on this one well no and this isn't a time to go back to [ __ ] on logic but this is kind of my
- 1:11:04
point of people that can just rap we all know cole can rap we all know logic and rap i
- 1:11:11
appreciated what was being said about these things see and that's where joe becomes the bad guy what because that's different raps
- 1:11:18
who between it's content it's not right the ability to rhyme and flow
- 1:11:24
can hear what you're saying yes we know a plus crap but whoa yes those two things are true
- 1:11:33
they're not they're not too many people that can rap with j cole night and day and coal keeps getting better that's
- 1:11:38
what i said this is to me this is his best lyrical performance to me yeah like i
- 1:11:44
he the way he was flowing on this and what he was talking about the content like this was like i enjoyed this i
- 1:11:50
might have listened to this i just kept this looping for like maybe an hour yeah i played this [ __ ] a
- 1:11:56
good five six times yeah this was special this was special
- 1:12:02
lion king was dope too though i liked it too yeah it was the lion king was probably a better song overall but this was a statement the
- 1:12:10
climb back was the statement like i rap better than alia right
- 1:12:23
it sounds like both of y'all playing it
- 1:13:16
uh-oh
- 1:13:29
look forward to whatever you're doing cole this was a statement yeah like this was definitely a statement to
- 1:13:34
a lot of the rappers out there um he's again this is my favorite
- 1:13:40
j cole lyrics to date definitely well he's retiring as well mo
- 1:13:48
is he i don't know if that's been announced though that's i mean he alluded to that and
- 1:13:55
he won his last album to be called the falloff so there you go yeah we'll see oh i don't
- 1:14:01
think he's actually retiring okay i don't know if logic's actually retiring so
- 1:14:06
i wish well to both of them absolutely well somebody got somebody got to follow
- 1:14:12
this who's going to be what this type of lyrical
- 1:14:18
performance from the rappers in this tier no one has said candy man yeah i don't
- 1:14:25
think somebody has to follow that i think so listen drake cole and kendrick are getting the [ __ ] out of
- 1:14:30
here and they're gonna make room for the rotties and the babies and just the
- 1:14:35
different style that is gonna dominate the next 10 years i've said that here before i don't know i'm old don't listen to me
- 1:14:42
but no i think i think that we should appreciate cole kendrick and drake and sean and
- 1:14:48
wale and that whole class the same way the same way we appreciate the
- 1:14:53
class of 03 in the draft i i have a take that i'm gonna save for when if you're gonna make a sad
- 1:14:59
agreement i'm getting the [ __ ] out of here sexual abuse is a thing um
- 1:15:07
i do have a take about when those three four five all retire that i'm going to save but
- 1:15:16
that will be the the biggest change in hip-hop ever as it stands right now uh if you're
- 1:15:22
looking at the field uh i agree to make room yeah this would be the that'd be the biggest change i don't think they'll ever have yeah they're not going away though i don't
- 1:15:28
know why y'all feeding it today they might slow down but retire okay slow now it'll be the
- 1:15:33
biggest thing you have to hip hop period it just doesn't make sense as an artist to retire right now
- 1:15:39
right i just don't i don't like the way you could just stream music like it just you can put out music when you
- 1:15:45
want it just doesn't i don't understand why you would even entertain that like why this is the this era right here
- 1:15:50
it's easy to put music out it's easy people for people to find your catalogue it's easy that's where you'll never even
- 1:15:55
attempt to understand another way outside of your own thoughts what do you mean you can't figure out why somebody would want to retire
- 1:16:01
because as as an artist it's super easy to sell music and get your music out there now
- 1:16:07
yes if you no longer have the passion for it why put out some [ __ ] and ruin your legacy no don't don't ever because i
- 1:16:13
don't want to do it when you say retire you don't have to like stop making music is what i'm saying right you can keep doing this put our
- 1:16:19
little two-pack put some videos out if you have no fulfillment in making music anymore and want to move on to
- 1:16:24
other ventures i understand that there are more there are more and more of our rappers that are slowing down the release of music
- 1:16:30
not speeding it up and there are a lot of rappers that release
- 1:16:36
a lot now because of the streaming the younger ones and then there's there's a lot of maine artists like big
- 1:16:41
artists that put out a lot of songs on their projects because of streaming every artist don't feel like you're
- 1:16:46
saying i'm not saying every artist does i'm saying i just don't understand why you would stop making music in this era
- 1:16:51
it just doesn't make sense especially for someone that like a lot of these guys that we're talking about don't even do a lot of press or any of
- 1:16:57
the things that are perceived as negative in as being an artist just put the music up like they don't have to because
- 1:17:02
they're going to put it out and it's going to do numbers like they don't have to run around and do all the [ __ ] that's all i'm saying it's not the same
- 1:17:08
pressures as it was years ago of making an album it's like you can whenever you're ready yeah some artists have that luxury
- 1:17:14
whenever you're ready go right it's still pressure thank you all you're saying that's a mad
- 1:17:21
person yeah all of that is cool there's still mad people that don't feel like y'all i'm saying no i'm saying to the ones that to the ones that
- 1:17:27
like kohl's you're saying he's alluding to retirement i think there's no more than why he would even think about that than any other artist
- 1:17:33
why because you've now been revered as a great and you have to deliver it to what your
- 1:17:39
older catalogue is no you know you don't you just have to be who you are code just has to be cold he doesn't have to try to fit into no
- 1:17:44
new sound no new look new trends that's not what i'm talking about the pressure of cold chasing your back he didn't want to
- 1:17:51
be here tough his whole career he sounded like the guy who didn't want to be here at all so now that he's that i'm it's my
- 1:17:59
opinion my take from him so now that he's at the end and reached the top of the mountain and he's saying you know i think i'm i'm off
- 1:18:04
it like who the [ __ ] are y'all to say yo i don't get it he's only been we're telling you fans
- 1:18:10
that's who we are the most important part of the culture which is the pressure i'm talking about no i'm not dictating my life but what
- 1:18:16
the [ __ ] the fans are saying what are you talking about no no you also like a lot of artists do not dictate your life i don't think gold
- 1:18:22
does oh no i don't think i'm not getting in this this argument because i'm just saying everybody don't feel like that that's all it just it's
- 1:18:28
shocking to me to hear them say well no cole responds in music to a lot of the critiques
- 1:18:34
of twitter and of social media so yeah i think i'm not saying he cares but he cares
- 1:18:39
enough to reply to it in his music and i think he deeply cares about his fans and this is who
- 1:18:45
already was dropping uh taking four three and four years between projects
- 1:18:51
name me the artist in year four you know that's steep two at most no way three
- 1:18:58
but he was still active though don't make it seem like he didn't put anything out unfortunately i'm saying yeah but i'm saying name me the artist
- 1:19:04
that in year 13 kicked it up to the highest of frequencies
- 1:19:10
uh the guy that was at the top already minus mixtape wouldn't it slow down wouldn't they want to pull
- 1:19:15
back i'm not saying you wouldn't want to step away when they want to further their label i'm i just don't understand how
- 1:19:23
you would what's another uh talk uh telltale sign of that it's called on tour yes he do what are you talking about
- 1:19:30
taurus and also towards a [ __ ] he does all the hbo documentaries about him he has a deal in in regard to the label thing you just
- 1:19:38
mentioned too he just wrote an article for i forgot what the website was but he's talking about i brought it up in the last podcast he's
- 1:19:44
talking about want to be in the nba and stuff but then he was talking about the label and he realized that the only way for
- 1:19:49
the label to really get popping is for him to be associated with it not just as a ceo
- 1:19:54
type essentially yes no paraphrasing but an act that's how you bring the light to the label you don't bring the light to the label by just
- 1:20:00
hiding in the back and no putting signing people like that's not gonna help no you're gonna be active you don't have to you don't have him being serious
- 1:20:06
about his retirement at all i don't think so so i understand what you're saying and i'm saying i'm saying what he wrote in the
- 1:20:12
article about wanting to make his label pop currently and that required him putting out music
- 1:20:19
on said label and with said artists to bring light to them
- 1:20:24
i see the dreamville takes advantage of the dreamers part exactly makes sense uh and no cole's
- 1:20:30
never went more than two years album-wise and listen i could totally see him falling back with me i'm frequency but i
- 1:20:36
don't think he's retired but i could be wrong i don't know you just mix tape you said with mixtapes
- 1:20:42
i'm not including the mixtapes albums only two years and he put out the the revenge of the dreamers [ __ ] in
- 1:20:47
between of course early in his career and a bunch of mixtapes 2011 2013 14 16 18. no that's a tour tour
- 1:20:56
that's a tour these are tours
- 1:21:01
albums uh 2011 2013 2014 2016 2018 24 what a guy yeah what a [ __ ] man
- 1:21:08
what a guy that guy's a man
- 1:21:14
i still got him getting the [ __ ] out of here on y'all ain't changing nowhere man all right are you guys excited for
- 1:21:20
jermaine dupri's uh we are the world charity inspired record maybe who's on it
- 1:21:26
uh well according to page six jermaine dupri is producing a charity song called change inspired by we are the worlds
- 1:21:33
with neo kelly rowland monica miguel gary clark jr jojo eric bellinger and
- 1:21:38
angel don't skip over jonte austin like that oh did i i'm sorry i love john t awesome i did yeah
- 1:21:46
uh he said i've had a few people who have rejected being on the song
- 1:21:51
a week ago those rejections had me in a [ __ ] up uh space trying to do something good for a cause
- 1:21:57
so i had to get myself out of that funk i'm a songwriter so when it comes to someone rejecting my songs i start
- 1:22:02
thinking the song sucks immediately that's when i started reading that quincy and michael jackson did we owe
- 1:22:09
the world prince came to the studio and rejected being on the song when i saw that it relieved me because
- 1:22:15
i'm like that's why prince wasn't in the song because he didn't like the song
- 1:22:20
i think this is all hysterical maybe i have a warp sense of humor i read this article and could not stop
- 1:22:26
laughing why he had mad artists tell him his [ __ ] is trash
- 1:22:32
and then felt better because prince went to quincy and michael and said this
- 1:22:39
is trash well yeah yeah that's the ball yeah
- 1:22:45
like if prince is saying something is tragic just like uh so but are we saying the caliber of artists that are turning jd down
- 1:22:51
you know because if somebody came in and print studios nothing michael says
- 1:22:57
yeah and by by the way we are the world
- 1:23:03
prince might have been right
- 1:23:13
if that's what we're doing let's step into it let me let's follow the shot through pull it up come on [ __ ]
- 1:23:25
yes i'm 30 years old right so i only heard this later in my life so i didn't
- 1:23:32
i wouldn't remember hearing this as a kid of course you didn't like it as a kid i didn't have any years in the 90s
- 1:23:39
i didn't hear we are the world well no you heard it i'm saying something yeah i don't think that's what was to ask me he was saying fresh off the block
- 1:23:45
i did not feel i didn't have those ears you didn't feel it okay oh you didn't feel like you was part of the world [Laughter]
- 1:23:53
now let's just come clean two two posse cuts that we need to talk about swagger like us and we are the world
- 1:24:00
similar songs no for me it's uh we are the world and uh we're all in the same game
- 1:24:06
this is we got a world of way and we're all in the same game that was a whole album though wasn't it
- 1:24:11
i have the single okay
- 1:24:18
this is a true showing of his age that he's youtube oh absolutely oh no i don't have it in my itunes i
- 1:24:24
don't come on man why would i have this why would i have it why would i have a quincy jones throwaway beat
- 1:24:30
in my isaac quincy jones throw away because kevin cameron wouldn't even take this because you have draped for a
- 1:24:35
raisin throwaways in your itunes you've been talking about vital for nine months that's why first of all
- 1:24:41
how dare you even put we are the world in the same sentence as vital
- 1:24:48
what don't you like about we are the world though i love when maul skips the joke and addresses us seriously for real get this [ __ ] off
- 1:24:56
more i'm just saying what don't you like russell westbrook ignores the temperament of the team and just goes
- 1:25:01
sometimes that's what you got to do who's this kenny rogers yes a lot of people that white people
- 1:25:08
told us was great wasn't great al giro wasn't the greatest either christopher christopher columbus wasn't
- 1:25:13
great either look hey i'll take that back about algebra
- 1:25:20
that's my first time ever saying that i'll take it back hey man yo who is this [ __ ] man this song's trash who was he
- 1:25:29
the cause was great everyone that's gonna not take jokes this song
- 1:25:35
[Laughter] are you listening to this song
- 1:25:41
mike i can see it in michael's face that he hates this [ __ ] though but this is why this is why you
- 1:25:47
got to watch the young people because they weren't there for the experience i was not here in 1999 the fabric of our
- 1:25:53
history rory there was a whole four-year period where all the songs from our stars were just
- 1:26:00
talking about the children i'm aware of the era i wasn't there for it mike uh
- 1:26:06
whitney and i believe the children are their future [ __ ] who else everybody graduating that's a
- 1:26:12
children's song out there yeah you had to believe in the children in the future okay
- 1:26:18
i don't want to hear this anymore i told you it's nice if they were if they were singing about saving the saving the dogs
- 1:26:25
rory would love it right i love it because i'm watching the video picturing uh quincy high off quaaludes
- 1:26:31
i'm the only one that still puts merit to that interview you know it wasn't a lie is that the
- 1:26:36
rizza listen that interview was not a lie jermaine jackson snuck in
- 1:26:43
and latoya hey that was the definitely y'all got my brother and sister with me
- 1:26:48
yeah
- 1:26:58
y'all 80's i get it it's for a great cause which is great i love that they raised
- 1:27:03
money i hated the the uh we are the world 25 that they did listen i tied quincy
- 1:27:09
and his quaaludes to [ __ ] will smith and dwayne martin's relationship too so no i need to i need some context
- 1:27:17
how how does your brain do it because more my brain connects things your brain doesn't understand anything
- 1:27:22
and my brain understands my brain connects things you just try to force things to connect your brain
- 1:27:27
it doesn't it doesn't connect joe move on quincy jones is connected to will smith and fresh
- 1:27:33
prince and dwayne warden yes he is he's connected to fresh prince yes that is a fact
- 1:27:40
never even also connected to quaaludes yesterday martin was on fresh prince he's also connected to quaaludes he also
- 1:27:46
did an interview saying quaaludes make men [ __ ] men i could continue with this i will not so
- 1:27:53
just shut up you shut up [ __ ] [ __ ] out of here quaalude brain man
- 1:28:13
other places man my brain lives in separate dinosaurs except for the
- 1:28:18
dinosaurs i'm not doing that with lupe yo truth be told i don't i've ever want to talk about anything you talk about
- 1:28:25
ever ever anything that we talk about i don't want to discuss when i'm home i'd be so happy i'm quiet when i'm home
- 1:28:32
oh just chilling low in order and you know how bad my opinions and takes are when i don't care about
- 1:28:38
that type of [ __ ] and i'm forced to make one i'm gonna have a shitty take i'm sorry
- 1:28:44
i ain't mad at that though that we in the world we are the world take i'm not mad at that oh no i care about it i care about
- 1:28:50
michael i care about quincy i care about their music that song is bad that's a real opinion i that wasn't on
- 1:28:55
the doc i'm not mad at that i'm not mad that that's something i feel how do you feel about heal the world
- 1:29:01
ah i'm cool nothing world related no i'm playing a bad song
- 1:29:06
that i always wanted to play here
- 1:29:12
how dare you i'd be wanting d nice to play this record but he won't
- 1:29:32
i think this was white people's uh take on new jack swing it sounds like
- 1:29:39
i liked it this song used to always come on after uh i want to sex you up and i taped it
- 1:29:47
yeah yeah yeah hey this [ __ ] is hard though
- 1:30:02
um this is my dollar van and queen soundtrack
- 1:30:07
i wasn't outside hey never heard this song right mo tell true
- 1:30:13
come on give it to me how i never heard this song you swear you heard all the songs i heard fam you are a year older than me
- 1:30:21
one year i promise you just one year safari called me the other day and he was like yo i always thought you were so
- 1:30:28
much older than me i'm your age [Laughter] it's cause you act older they can say yo
- 1:30:33
i'm your age yeah stupid man yeah how old is you 39. oh all right
- 1:30:42
did you just give it but i never told people to think but oh i know why they think i'm so old i was so successful
- 1:30:47
early on oh talk your [ __ ] no you just act old no i was successful earlier drinking coffee and reading the
- 1:30:53
newspaper at times how old was you 101 rory 11. come on i was successful early on
- 1:30:59
wait in comparison how old rory was knock it off man rory made thousands more made thousands
- 1:31:07
parks made thousands he made thousands yes joe you're right savonne made hundreds alex
- 1:31:13
made hundreds i'm carrying a squad over here okay save
- 1:31:19
on you ain't make hundreds your time stamps last episode was reflective of your wage you just said
- 1:31:25
[ __ ] it huh yeah and [ __ ] said yo they talking that [ __ ] this app that was his times there well you told
- 1:31:32
him not to to categorize the [ __ ] no more no i tell him don't post our phone calls i want to hear time stamps god damn okay
- 1:31:39
got you wait do i yoda fellas just talk and check it out
- 1:31:54
uh what else we got tyson tyson versus roy jones nate robinson versus jake paul
- 1:32:00
[Laughter] that wasn't real was it it's real undercard what they've really been trying to do
- 1:32:08
when [ __ ] laugh like they could take jake they was trying to get that going if you laugh if you laugh i gotta assume you
- 1:32:14
could take jake all right and jake paul wants smoke so go ahead any listen to podcasts
- 1:32:21
jump out there rory or parks any one of you white boys the white boy
- 1:32:27
crown why we gotta fight rory liked this song i think rory liked
- 1:32:34
this song that's his group first of all that's your groove the music is great and second of all there's a whole community of our audience who can tell when rory
- 1:32:40
has the aux i don't think i'm hiding it he always plays but we never tell him we never
- 1:32:46
tell him the difference he always plays dinosaurs oh come on mike tyson versus roy jones jr
- 1:32:54
yeah they have my 10.99 20.99 what they want 70.99 i got 200 on this
- 1:33:02
where's it gonna be uh is it pay-per-view yeah whatever they want for this thriller
- 1:33:10
yeah because triller i think is doing showing the donkey series leading up to the fight oh they're doing the uh what's the old floyd [ __ ] 24
- 1:33:16
7 yeah yeah they're doing that interesting i'm watching this absolutely i don't care that they both over 50.
- 1:33:23
i don't care if they washed mike mike look at height man michael michael beat the [ __ ] out of roy
- 1:33:28
jones bad but roy don't look bad no no no he doesn't he doesn't look bad he just
- 1:33:34
don't look like mike just those clips that yeah mike is put out listen mike mike was great when he
- 1:33:41
wasn't in the best mental space now he seems to be in a great space
- 1:33:47
mentally you think that'll make him better as a fighter absolutely because it becomes more mental as you get older
- 1:33:53
okay like he's still he's obviously in shape if you watch mike's podcast and you've heard him speak about his
- 1:34:00
mental state when he was fighting verse and versus where it is now and you just hear that peaceful it is dangerous
- 1:34:07
i could see him needing to unleash that rage side no pun in a fight
- 1:34:14
yeah and roy jones for me granite legend legend legend i'm not hating
- 1:34:23
but roy jones ended being the last one to know and i think he's right back being the
- 1:34:29
last one to know he shouldn't take this fight just
- 1:34:35
because it's called an exhibition does not and just because mike is in a better mental state does not mean that once
- 1:34:40
mike gets in that ring something won't trigger in his brain no it triggers to destroy no person no
- 1:34:47
no no no no no no no no no no no no it triggers we know this about mike that's why we're all watching roy jones
- 1:34:53
jr is a [ __ ] legend and all the talk says mike's coming back
- 1:34:59
mike's returning not only that superlatives i've seen a video quite a few times of mike
- 1:35:05
sparring and the sparring dude saying mike mike [Laughter]
- 1:35:10
yeah that's like when your dogs rewinded it to make sure yeah that wasn't crazy but that bid when he's
- 1:35:16
in the corner and mike is a little too closely i'm watching that saying i get why the sparrow dude is saying that because like you
- 1:35:22
close to me you you you're gonna kill me too real right now yeah i don't think i
- 1:35:28
don't think he knows how to be for play play yeah and that's the thing that i think mike he just because of where he is mentally
- 1:35:35
he can he knows how to turn it off and on like he can he can control that better now
- 1:35:41
i think he can too but i still think when mike gets in a ring with a real opponent [ __ ] what it's
- 1:35:46
called an exhibition uh trial whatever you guys want to put a title on it that's the only question
- 1:35:51
mike is going to turn into mike no matter listen where he is
- 1:36:04
this is their own [ __ ] let me tell you something i've never been in the ring with mike we could all tell the stories of
- 1:36:10
what we imagined that it felt like i've never been in a ring i've never been in a ring with
- 1:36:16
mike thank god no i've honestly no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
- 1:36:23
it's not thank god i have the same exact feeling doing a podcast with mike
- 1:36:28
that i imagine they had fighting mike hey at any wrong move
- 1:36:34
hey man i tell our story a little while ago i was going to visit a girl and she had a rock wilder that was just a little wild and you couldn't get up to the house
- 1:36:40
without battling her yo who the [ __ ] who has the goals
- 1:36:52
hello yo buddy lupe fiasco
- 1:36:59
what's up sir how are you doing man father i'm walking for you i'm going
- 1:37:06
i called you live from the air from my podcast this is joe buddy from the joe budden podcast first of all
- 1:37:12
we want to congratulate you on your new project thank you second of all what the [ __ ]
- 1:37:18
are you talking about on this dinosaur song tell it come on give it to me it's me
- 1:37:25
i'm talking about me you're not telling me that you're the dinosaur what
- 1:37:31
yeah i'm a dinosaur you don't lay [ __ ] eggs when you have
- 1:37:37
sex lupe what are you talking about first of all joseph you would be a
- 1:37:44
dinosaur but you you retired so you extinct so you off yourself of course this [ __ ] i knew he had some
- 1:37:51
type of fancy metaphor yeah of course how do you metaphor dinosaurs i know i gotta go listen again
- 1:37:58
now i feel stupid yeah we we old ass [ __ ] man wait i gotta go listen again man
- 1:38:06
nah cause i gotta go now i'm reading the lyrics and i get it [ __ ] lupe i apologize for clowning this song
- 1:38:12
earlier like i don't even know what fossily means fossils anyway not only is it
- 1:38:17
about it's a it's personal in that sense it's also it's also meant for my for my
- 1:38:23
nephews and my gods like they're little kids so i wanted to like explain i took my godson uh
- 1:38:30
to the museum one time i was in new york and he went to go see the dinosaurios so i just wanted to kind of replay that
- 1:38:35
moment as we were walking through the museum looking at dinosaurs um but then also it's uh um
- 1:38:42
you know we could be extinct you know at any given moment this planet could just take a [ __ ] on us
- 1:38:48
so it's about that too recognizing the fragility of our mortality because there was a whole whole other
- 1:38:53
race of beings and entities on this [ __ ] laying around no more at all and we we could we could be in the same
- 1:38:59
space so enjoy life you know but it's also about old last [ __ ] who's still trying to rap never
- 1:39:05
remember hey i took myself out that boat i ain't old trying to rap it's just
- 1:39:11
y'all now it's just you and royce you royce black dog you know the crew
- 1:39:19
right but we still nice we still dangerous we're still putting out projects that are relevant to the times that still deliver power and
- 1:39:26
a concise lyrically word play is as sharp as it's ever been i mean we still got we still got life in
- 1:39:31
us i'm trying to hit a rowdy rich [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] that
- 1:39:37
so that's what it's about now i'm glad
- 1:39:43
when you gonna battle somebody man nobody want to bottle me
- 1:39:48
it's not true they don't [ __ ] don't battle me
- 1:39:54
b.o.b b.o.b was looking for you for a few years [ __ ] you ran ahead no way
- 1:40:02
cut it out i like b.o.b don't do that yeah maybe i'll be homeless but i mean
- 1:40:08
remember when remember when most def one at the rap he wanted to battle and he was gonna get his crew and
- 1:40:14
everybody's gonna get that crew and i was like i'll do it i remember that he's like he's like
- 1:40:21
i nah just like nah i don't blame [ __ ] though i ain't got you all right man you ain't you showing no signs of
- 1:40:28
slowing down until you start talking about dinosaurs and [ __ ] but that ain't uh that ain't my that
- 1:40:33
ain't my that ain't my zone you know the battle space nightmare is all that's for other folks where it is right now wait we can't [ __ ] with that they're
- 1:40:39
gonna kill us a killer [ __ ] fly out to kanye and help him
- 1:40:44

- 1:40:51
loop on the third coming right here with my man that's my word i remember that that was you listen joe i mean do you
- 1:40:58
really care about kanye like that deeply no no i do though i love them
- 1:41:04
i mean i i care about him as a person and i care about him as an individual but i'm not really in his business like that why are you i
- 1:41:11
always say that why you post that throwback drake picture huh why you post that throwback picture of
- 1:41:17
you and drake you and aubry because you didn't listen to the album
- 1:41:22
uh uh i'll be honest after dinosaurs i said i'm gonna come back
- 1:41:27
yeah i mean you didn't even listen to the record so you don't know what's going on that's why i'm asking you to listen to the [ __ ] record
- 1:41:33
i am tonight that listen to the joke it'll make perfect sense you don't think
- 1:41:39
that joe budden is not listening to your album you don't think that right no no listen listen to the uh to the uh
- 1:41:46
lf-95 but look at the comments underneath that drake picture and you'll see why like you know i like to do like like
- 1:41:53
fourth dimensional metaphors that come into real life you feel me like a pop-up book
- 1:41:59
oh i gotta check i gotta check this out i see the little comments talking i didn't like you having virgo on your [ __ ] either i'll tell be honest with you
- 1:42:05
you didn't like i had what virgil virgil gave more money to the black lives matter to everything on this phone right
- 1:42:11
now my god oh my god so how about how much money you get what that what they gotta do with my
- 1:42:17
statement my [ __ ] how much how much money did you give them what's in there the rest of them [ __ ]
- 1:42:23
[Laughter] yeah i'm here lupe what's up
- 1:42:33
wait how much did john [ __ ] give to black lives matter i gave money by the way i did as well
- 1:42:39
i'm not gonna say what the amount was on here but yes i i i gave more than 20 or 50.
- 1:42:45
take that it wasn't in the hundreds i'll tell you that much yeah i know you raised a million dollars
- 1:42:50
right that's great he raised it where did it go
- 1:42:56
did you raise a million dollars no but i if he raised that i just want to know where it goes i hear people raising money all the time but where does it go
- 1:43:02
yeah he raised a million dollars and he also also when he posted up that the 50 jump he had already gave like
- 1:43:09
tens of thousands of dollars he was just posting up to 50 to 50 dollars for broke [ __ ] who felt like they
- 1:43:14
didn't have him see look we had no issue with that that's why i don't know why you're
- 1:43:19
telling us this i'm saying i ain't want to hear track one
- 1:43:25
we never even brought that up that's it
- 1:43:30
way back way way back now your phone is cutting in and out and i can't hear you
- 1:43:35
where are you right now in the world don't worry where i'm at lupe will you
- 1:43:40
come on our show please man [ __ ] y'all man
- 1:43:46
yo well we like you what's up [ __ ]
- 1:43:56
are probably gonna be friends forever right but you know outside of the circle the [ __ ] that i call cool i don't [ __ ] with y'all [ __ ]
- 1:44:09
that you [ __ ] tried to slight me on the cast i was like come on man i can ain't that type of party when are
- 1:44:14
we trying to slide you my [ __ ] stop playing don't get amnesia
- 1:44:19
i'm asking take that rory you know what the [ __ ] i'm talking about where i gotta go i gotta go through this
- 1:44:25
i really don't i don't think he knows uh lupe yeah that's gotta sit on so many [ __ ]
- 1:44:31
like slightly and casually y'all forgot all of the instances where you just slightly lightly casually [ __ ] on [ __ ]
- 1:44:37
yeah yeah wait rory [ __ ] it on lupe i think i've spoke nothing but your
- 1:44:43
phrases my entire life i'll remember which
- 1:44:56
it was in regards to you saying i said that the public perception might be that lupe
- 1:45:02
uh is isn't hot or he he he fell off or some [ __ ] like that we was talking about i said the public was not me i'm smart
- 1:45:08
enough to know that he hasn't fell off i'm saying they're coming perception would be that lupe ain't hot
- 1:45:13
we did we did the science yeah [ __ ] ain't [ __ ] would never say lupe like i would never think that in my
- 1:45:18
i'm saying the public perception would be that why are you grabbing drake's stomach like this in this picture
- 1:45:24
like yo you gotta you got the backstory behind that was so crazy that was the night that i knew that i knew drake
- 1:45:30
was pregnant over the [ __ ] world i was i was in the dressing room like yo i don't want any problems i just i just want to be a fan i don't
- 1:45:37
want i don't want none i don't want none of this smoke so you start rubbing his stomach nah some [ __ ] was fighting in the crowd
- 1:45:44
oh so you was protecting his stomach yeah you don't see the other two fixed security [ __ ] on the side like [ __ ]
- 1:45:49
you know he was in chicago ah all right there we go there we go it was a bunch of gangsters in real life
- 1:45:56
i know your history you don't follow me with those swords yeah i know where you come from that's
- 1:46:01
that's why i was terrified when you said you had beef with me i'm aware of who lupe fiasco is outside
- 1:46:07
of rap all right well what if i'm not that yeah i'm not that [ __ ] man i'm not just a rapper [ __ ]
- 1:46:13
i'm aware i do other [ __ ] and uh i come from different places i come from from very very crazy places hey if i
- 1:46:19
come to chicago and you don't rub my stomach [ __ ] i'm gonna i'm not rubbing it
- 1:46:27
the [ __ ] gave me the biggest hug of all like it was the hardest i've ever been hugged by anybody in my life like the
- 1:46:32
[ __ ] was like so od but he was just so that night was the night i knew that that [ __ ] was something special
- 1:46:38
like he had more of those looks like a good hunger all right i'm not doing this with you
- 1:46:45
yo congratulations i'm gonna listen to the project later tonight lupe we love you all of us all too i love the problems
- 1:47:02
i'm admitting it all right all right luke 1. hi joe be well my man i love lupe fiasco bad
- 1:47:09
he's hilarious i feel like a lot of the old a lot of the dinosaurs
- 1:47:14
are pretty funny man yeah it's these young [ __ ] they're shooting everybody
- 1:47:21
no man that's not what you thought about mall i remember what you were talking about now what are you saying what he's doing when i brought up lupe versus the beans
- 1:47:28
and just your tone was kind of reckless we said lupe versus b that's a weird thing to bring up
- 1:47:34
i bring it up every time it's like a battle no not a battle i should have been in reference to where they
- 1:47:40
sit and how the streets appreciate and respect beans and totally disregard lupe's pen
- 1:47:47
every time i always make that uh make that comparison because of the contrast and i [ __ ] it on
- 1:47:54
lupe i won't say [ __ ] it on but your take was if i was the person i could take offense
- 1:48:00
to it oh i mean i won't say [ __ ] on no i'm no lupe for years man i got
- 1:48:05
i'm very familiar with lupe lupe call back go ahead lupe man we're still waiting on the fab callback
- 1:48:12
you'll call fab back man no i think fab changed his number on me after the battle after the verses no i
- 1:48:18
think it might have changed before that oh okay now you got to change your number before you mix your vote with your queen
- 1:48:23
okay yeah that's true well you don't know but no i know
- 1:48:29
anyways tell me y'all can tell me about that see i got to see that's the podcast i would start we just blurt random [ __ ] tell me about
- 1:48:35
the time you changed your number but then you gave it to a few [ __ ] and your girl find out come on
- 1:48:41
give it to me like what was the point of you changing it yeah yeah yeah yeah come on come on come back heaven come on open your phone now how
- 1:48:46
many numbers on me do you have four well no because the last one clearly i have to continue to do it
- 1:48:54
well you're the only one that's in here rory knew again yeah okay that should let you know you're new again maul is in here more ovo
- 1:49:02
parks is just parks i'm changing my numbers soon i have to too many people from like 12 years from
- 1:49:08
the past right they're not telling you nobody wants to be cool with their past no no it's just some certain people
- 1:49:27
i support that i'm not changing my number yeah i'm gonna change my number my number got leaked and i didn't change it yeah how you survived that
- 1:49:35
because i'm a survivor more that's true i was there for some of that um i was there for some of that i think
- 1:49:41
that tyson's gonna kill roy jones jr let me get back to that really quick i think tyson's gonna destroy him i
- 1:49:47
think he's taking this very serious i didn't like the way roy jones uh sparring partner looked like he looked too old
- 1:49:54
like he just looked like he didn't really i don't think this is a great idea i don't i don't i mean i'm always betting but
- 1:50:00
i'm watching it i'm definitely watching the thing is uh roy jones his greatest strength was his
- 1:50:05
speed and naturally with age that tape is off something i can still look
- 1:50:10
pretty fast i was gonna say twice yeah mike's greatest strength was his strength but he had speed too yeah and he still
- 1:50:17
has something you still have some strength he still has a little bit of speed i thought roy might be able to win because he's the
- 1:50:23
taller guy but then i saw the side by side and rory's only taller but like an inch
- 1:50:28
rory has more reach three inches i don't think that's enough when they did the side by side rory was
- 1:50:34
a lot more comparable to mike than i originally thought is what i'll say
- 1:50:40
i think it's wingspan and i want it
- 1:50:45
whoever comes out with d smoke is losing i don't think these smoke will be around
- 1:50:50
for this yeah hey you never know you never know he's making headway he's making some leeway out there
- 1:50:58
and netflix was watching that [ __ ] like [ __ ] i could see mike coming out with rock him with somebody did y'all watch our
- 1:51:05
fear city on netflix uh i started it is that the mafia one mafia i'm uh i'm 30 i'm 36 minutes second episode i think
- 1:51:13
wow man really i was gonna come in here next episode and kill it really
- 1:51:25
well i'm 36 minutes into the first episode before we started this podcast uh and it's dragged and it's the
- 1:51:32
same info that's been out forever there's nothing new well most of these guys are at all i
- 1:51:38
learned okay i didn't i didn't know about that uh concrete scam
- 1:51:44
that the mob was doing spoiler alert if you haven't seen it i mean it was one i knew about one of their biggest scams ever but i didn't know
- 1:51:51
okay i'm not i'm not some people are going to have to find new information with this i understand what rory's saying a lot of this information has been outfitted
- 1:51:56
it's an extremely surface the first 36 minutes at least is an extremely surfaced
- 1:52:02
extremely surfaced uh mob well i would hope the first 36 minutes of a
- 1:52:08
dock of a three-part um something they've done a thousand documentaries on no i don't need to hear
- 1:52:14
about john gotti uh being caught on a wiretap i've never i don't need to hear that i've never
- 1:52:19
seen an extensive doc about just how intermingled all the five bosses
- 1:52:25
crime bosses were i've never seen that yes yes in every prime story and even in the
- 1:52:31
[ __ ] um what's the the [ __ ] that forrest whitaker is doing in harlem even in that they they do say that the crime bosses
- 1:52:37
loosely work together this is the first time loosely well in that
- 1:52:43
it was loosely it's called the commission they had a name for it i i didn't know how in-depth it was you
- 1:52:50
you were more you're more informed than that than i was like i was blown away by that concrete scam
- 1:52:56
what a great scam no i mean that was their their biggest thing was anything
- 1:53:02
construction related so i mean yeah i guess if you're not
- 1:53:07
very well versed in this world sure to do this i also think it's just shot i just think
- 1:53:13
it drags a lot it's weird pauses i just didn't think it was put together well
- 1:53:18
it's made by shout out right whoever did this did something else i liked don't [ __ ] with cats don't [ __ ]
- 1:53:24
with cats that's what it was i'm with you i did think it dragged it yeah it's just not
- 1:53:29
it wasn't the best i don't need good cinematography while it drags and then you go on to the
- 1:53:36
most obvious facts when it comes to how deep this actual world is and to add to what you're saying like i just don't need
- 1:53:42
this to add to what you're saying because that was my ignorance my ignorance i don't know about the concrete [ __ ] but what i did say was
- 1:53:48
y'all are showing me the uh y'all are showing me the founder of hell's angels
- 1:53:53
and he has an extensive talking part in a confessional i see him talk almost every morning on
- 1:53:59
the news so that's one you also showed me the guy the mob guy who went to jail for 10
- 1:54:05
years for whatever and came out it's the guy that we've seen on vlad a million times that was my next point you have john a lightning
- 1:54:11
and michael franzis who we actually met on the way out of the tyson podcast if y'all remember bringing it off yes um michael franzis
- 1:54:18
and john a light anytime you type in mafia on google those two people are
- 1:54:24
going to come up so when netflix puts all this money from a producer of don't [ __ ] with cats which was a huge thing for netflix
- 1:54:31
don't start a documentary with the two most notable [ __ ] people on the internet right now they're gonna tell the same story
- 1:54:38
sir then they had giuliani there which is [ __ ] giuliani i mean no he should he
- 1:54:44
should be involved it's always documentary but i'm just saying she had people that we hear from all the time and i just see
- 1:54:52
it i see it but my guy from the uh guardian angels uh lisa evers ex-husband uh why am i
- 1:54:59
blanking on his name i don't know lisa evers ex-husband this isn't like a secret i'm just saying i don't know
- 1:55:04
okay uh he was the head of the guardian angels yeah but i'm riding with lisa so i don't know me too always
- 1:55:10
i mean they shot him uh he's been in all this yet uh
- 1:55:16
how you pronounce his last name curtis uh silva i did not know that that was lisa evra's ex-husband the founder of
- 1:55:21
hell oh no the guardian angel that's awesome totally different different angles i was very
- 1:55:29
different talking about the guardian angels my fault i made a mistake yeah curtis sleeway he's in all this [ __ ] too like
- 1:55:34
i've heard his story a million times like if netflix is gonna dive into the mob
- 1:55:39
doc [ __ ] i just don't need the most obvious people in obvious stories
- 1:55:45
with all this money behind it and then b-roll footage and this is only my take from 36 minutes
- 1:55:51
in so sorry if it gets better that's all i got i am going to
- 1:55:56
watch it oh no i'm gonna watch the whole [ __ ] yeah i'm going to finish it 36 months
- 1:56:02
it's all [ __ ] you can yes and the story has been told the story can't change it's always going
- 1:56:08
to be the same story but uh and stop making documentaries unless you find someone else people always watch people gonna watch
- 1:56:14
the same [ __ ] over and over all right i'm being a debbie downer today guys oh yeah i noticed i'm out of here right right
- 1:56:22
this second i had i wanted to talk to them all about the lakers a little bit listen you guys gonna root for the washington
- 1:56:27
football team that's a slap in the face absolutely is that what they landed on that's
- 1:56:33
that's the name of the football team it's the one that they landed on that's what they're using this year as they attempt to think of a name and i
- 1:56:40
don't know that that's not because of homeboy who went and copyrighted all the good names
- 1:56:46
trademarked all the good names did y'all see that no no as soon as it was reported that the
- 1:56:52
redskins were going to change their name some guy went trademarked 3 000 names
- 1:56:57
though it was everything uh i could be completely lying but i think i read that's how mark cuban got a lot of his bread early when the
- 1:57:05
internet started happening he just he just trademarked coca-cola.com like he would just find the biggest [ __ ]
- 1:57:11
and they'd have to buy it off him i could be completely lying but i think i read that that's a leg sounds like a great idea yo the
- 1:57:18
washington football team is [ __ ] hilarious i'm buying that merch i'll be the
- 1:57:23
marched out guy
- 1:57:29
he was wearing redskins merch i've never formed are you a [ __ ] pete
- 1:57:37

- 1:57:43

- 1:57:50

- 1:57:56
that little logic take they did they oh my god they have been going crazy
- 1:58:02
i know i watched this [ __ ] i've missed all that no pete is the jewish gatekeeper so i understand that
- 1:58:07
but he will be trying to jewish gay keepers well he broke jewish as well well from a jewish family you know
- 1:58:15

- 1:58:26

- 1:59:18

- 1:59:24
did you guys see uh dave franco's playing vanilla ice in a biopic no we didn't see that i didn't know i i
- 1:59:30
did see that vanilla i think he's gonna smoke that he probably will
- 1:59:36
that's what i think you know vanilla ice as well for sure are they gonna have the same guy that's played suge in all
- 1:59:43
15 tv series and movies yeah he shook now anytime [ __ ] comes up just throw ice
- 1:59:50
over the [ __ ] railing yeah no i really think that's gonna be
- 1:59:55
good me too good series movie whatever the [ __ ] it's his story is interesting well so no need to be told it's going to
- 2:00:02
be hilarious coming from james franco [Laughter]
- 2:00:08
i'm going home
- 2:00:14
no one cares about kanye meek oh yeah we didn't even discuss i tried to i tried to bring that up
- 2:00:21

- 2:00:36
what we had to say on the matter hey i'm going to take this somewhere that i don't know if you guys are with but [ __ ] it
- 2:00:43
