  • 6:16

a little more like i was oh yeah when he was watching the cash [ __ ] that he he re-uploaded yeah

  • 6:24

national behavior vladimir how many people exactly did you a 150 is a cut right

  • 6:31

[Laughter] how many people exactly did you give a buck 52

  • 6:36

when you were in prison then he re-uploaded i seen on my youtube homepage [ __ ] sue surf tells vlad he is a cop

  • 6:44

he's leaning into this right yeah oh 100 okay

  • 6:53

more than four like and he puts on this little [ __ ] the voice the vlady voice yeah the crazy [ __ ] is i

  • 6:59

heard he's not even in a room with them it's a laptop that they talking to what yeah

  • 7:05

wait i heard the same thing they're serious or just during quarantine that is a lie

  • 7:11

that has to be really that's hilarious you [ __ ] imbeciles are sitting down talking to a

  • 7:17

laptop and telling them all your nefarious deeds yeah nefarious is a very funny word i don't

  • 7:24

know what it means but i agree it might have been accurate i don't know let me stop i don't want to judge anybody to sit down with vlad but that's laptop that's

  • 7:31

unfortunate that's unfortunate to hear yeah i mean whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa did

  • 7:36

vlad invent zoom and held a little bit of my spit there buddy you okay over there good keep that mask

  • 7:42

on right don't endanger us yo park's brought to my attention that i was irresponsible with my platform last week

  • 7:49

and that totally was not my intention so before i start let me make very clear that i do know that covet is a real thing

  • 7:55

my family has been hit by people that i love have suffered and transitioned from it and i had it as well so if i was

  • 8:01

irresponsible in my messaging last week i apologize what would you say

  • 8:06

i don't know but i i don't know we were discussing if people were going to take the vaccines and we made a few jokey jokes

  • 8:13

about it and we weren't serious but the people that think everything that should ever be said is serious when it's about a serious topic got very upset

  • 8:19

that we were being irresponsible with our platform to them i say [ __ ] you and if you want to get the vaccine please get it

  • 8:25

and if you don't that's your business oh yeah all right i'm not that's rory farrell

  • 8:32

28 journal square i echo those same sentiments rory uh if

  • 8:38

you want to go to 28 general square have a blast dude i will not be there

  • 8:44

um so other than that when you're there so everybody's good everybody's feeling good feeling all right just trying to keep my head in prostate

  • 8:50

above water man yeah you know has every as everybody kept their pulse on the culture this week yeah ready to dive in and discuss yeah

  • 8:57

there's a lot it's a lot of weird [ __ ] going on i was around the post really oh yeah not letting you lead and

  • 9:02

lead and when you lead in we get morbid no no no nothing like that

  • 9:07

no no no morbid [ __ ] oh okay no let's start with something a bit more jovial

  • 9:12

she can only play the song one time she can only play the record one time if you think she has one record yeah

  • 9:19

that's not what i said doing this with you i love keisha that's not what i said then sounds like i'm just saying everybody

  • 9:24

like sounds like everybody going heaven saying correct that's one record she can play from hampton yeah you know what's going

  • 9:31

on classic classic record come outside to hear it me no her oh

  • 9:38

don't don't do that let's do that it's a great tune come out do that come out and join us don't do that don't do that don't don't

  • 9:45

paint that narrative all right so listen you're not taking covet seriously to those of you to those of you who who

  • 9:50

are unaware right millions millions of music lovers across the country had their

  • 9:56

pre-parties and their drinks and their hors d'oeuvres set up they had

  • 10:03

their trusted coveted circle group there girlies got dressed up

  • 10:08

oh my god there was outfits yeah i'd never seen people prep for verses like this one yeah like

  • 10:14

promoting the the production that was happening the entire day yeah hadn't seen that yet this one looked

  • 10:22

like looked like it would be one for the ages the ladies are ready and me i was about to say i was tingling

  • 10:28

yeah well we're always right whenever the ladies are ready we're ready right behind exactly yeah i was ready to dig through those

  • 10:36

dark memories of exes who have done me wrong mm-hmm when you felt like you should have cheated i should have

  • 10:42

oh man when me and rory get that oh we get hurt together that's that's stockton hornet set going y'all get hurt together

  • 10:49

oh ooh are we on the engine reserve oh my god look out you should have seen me enjoyed

  • 10:55

sugar daddies when we were both hurt me and rory what

  • 11:02

trying to cope together right and in places that do not make you feel better just numb you for like a few hours i'll

  • 11:07

be honest those type of things uh between rory and i have shot him up on my friend list yeah like i never intended for him to be

  • 11:15

this hot [Laughter] expectation yeah man he surpassed

  • 11:22

offering expectations listen uh happy birthday to my youngest lex i love you listen when lex was being born rory was on my

  • 11:29

phone yo nah tell me the hospital right now i'm pulling up oh he was in there

  • 11:34

it's like wow thanks man okay maybe that's an irish culture thing

  • 11:42

i don't know like you go to see your friends kids be born your family members that's the thing in my

  • 11:48

life i felt really special man that was awesome yeah that's what friends supposed to do i

  • 11:53

didn't know that yeah i don't think i was allowed in the hospital when trey was born

  • 11:58

oh you weren't your baby mother's friend uh yeah that's the thing yeah no no don't do that i was there

  • 12:04

i was there the entire time no matter what was going on with us that's the last time i heard her say

  • 12:10

loving words to me when she was under that c-section drug yeah yeah yeah that's the truth

  • 12:16

we never spoke again we never spoke again but that c-section said the truth come out

  • 12:21

yeah yeah oh doing that last night i was like is she awake

  • 12:27

because she talked all stomach is folded flapped over give her another dose [Laughter]

  • 12:35

joe was an [ __ ] but yeah but the point is no i didn't know that but i was really

  • 12:40

happy that rory was there with me that was good it was good yeah your friend should be there because for like the dude that can be a real

  • 12:46

boring experience you're not supposed to say that it's it's it's uh it's the waiting game

  • 12:52

yeah it's a nerve waiting game like you know there's just spots you can be in there when you can't be i'm talking like i know

  • 12:59

as the guy you're just supposed to like be there in support of of your queen and it's like they tag you

  • 13:06

in when they need you yeah but until then like they're doing all the tough [ __ ] of mentally preparing

  • 13:13

wait waiting for the whatever meter to hit the right [ __ ] so like they're doing everything

  • 13:18

physically pushing a human being out of their body and then that part like i got shits that i took that was

  • 13:24

really tough yeah yeah think about it yeah the nerve of my prostate

  • 13:30

to even have gripes with me well listen i don't need to think about it because boy is god good both of my

  • 13:36

kids had some type of trouble coming out like i think with trey the umbilical cord was wrapped

  • 13:42

around his neck yeah that's common so had to go in and save my baby i love you

  • 13:49

uh and lex's head got stuck is that the scientific uh verb what

  • 13:56

happened that's what the doc said yeah it's stuck no they tried to tiptoe around it like me

  • 14:02

and sin wasn't right well she was going through it like right there i was right there i was right there looking at the face it

  • 14:08

didn't feel great his head is stuck do you want to see him i'm not looking down there get my baby out but then you can't yell

  • 14:14

it yeah i mean it was a tense moment i'm sure yeah it's gotta be because you gotta be like cool push your baby out of

  • 14:20

here you can't tell a woman that who's has to do the pushing yeah that's never pushing before yeah she's pushing harder than ever to just

  • 14:27

gotta make that and it's still not you gotta hold the push that's a lot of the weird breathing noises it's a lie i'm glad you're

  • 14:32

dude you chicks think squirting is so amazing how do we get there well let me ask uh

  • 14:40

parks and mall do you guys want to actually see your child be born like see it nobody about be right there yeah watch it come out

  • 14:46

i'll be there i'm not watching yeah i do i'm not looking at the hearts bag for me i don't know if i want to see that yeah i would want to see that for

  • 14:51

sure she could that yeah i get a weak stomach when i see people get stabbed

  • 14:58

i don't know about a whole head coming out of a vagina why you keep watching people get stabbed i'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time leave the bar it's a regular

  • 15:04

night at the irish bar you know how that goes over at the pub yeah at the pub yeah no i don't think it's for me i'm not

  • 15:10

watching that i'll do a little over the shoulder action i got you all day sure no yeah i want to be right there i don't know how we got on this but lex

  • 15:17

i love you cynthia thank you for the greatest gift uh where are we at anything you can do for lex's birthday with with the little

  • 15:24

covies going on no cake ice cream balloons and other kids other kids being my two

  • 15:29

little brothers and my little sister and oddly enough i mean i haven't spoken to his mom about this i

  • 15:35

don't think my kid likes ice cream is that really uh does that sound weird

  • 15:40

well i didn't as a kid and that's because there was no sugar allowed in my household so my grandmother really think there was something wrong with me when

  • 15:46

she'd take me and all my cousins for ice cream and i wouldn't get excited and i'd be like uh i guess the vanilla is fine

  • 15:51

and she's like i think there's something really wrong with this kid and i won't say what she said because she's an old irish woman and it was a

  • 15:56

slur so we're just going to continue what she thought i was because i didn't want ice cream

  • 16:02

one day i'mma muster up the courage to come in here and talk about the real co-parenting fights

  • 16:08

that's a conversation that i'm sure a lot can relate to

  • 16:14

i'm gonna get in trouble with [ __ ] i'll [ __ ] one real quick go ahead man jump in there pause i could think i think so on one of the

  • 16:21

blogs that then was like doing some diet [ __ ] so she took all the snacks out the house

  • 16:27

i pulled right off [Laughter] my kid gonna have some oreos put some

  • 16:34

[ __ ] i pulled up with a very serious yo you took all the snacks out the house

  • 16:43

for the two-year-old yeah yeah you think that's right alex is on keto too though [ __ ]

  • 16:50

doesn't get that keto diet see that's the problem with having the dads around like the dads understand

  • 16:55

yeah of course like the dads fight for you how do we get on this we're supposed to be talking about i mean how great is that when you're

  • 17:01

dating a chick with a kid the snack selection that you're just not privy to in other households like oh my god like oh you got these i

  • 17:08

ain't seen dunkaroos in a minute by the way oh you got the confetti dunkaroo

  • 17:14

[Laughter] all right come on uh everyone all over america was planning on having a watch

  • 17:21

party for keisha cole versus ashanti yeah um this was supposed to happen saturday

  • 17:27

night and we didn't get the word that this was gonna be postponed

  • 17:32

until a few hours before yeah it was like an hour maybe yeah it wasn't enough it wasn't very

  • 17:38

much time um and i get it the new date is the 9th january 9th which is a saturday a few

  • 17:45

weeks away but and i mean we are still going to watch this but man was i disappointed that it didn't happen

  • 17:51

uh ashanti announced that uh unfortunately she caught kovit

  • 17:57

so she was unable unable to do it the internet had a little bit of fun with that and i'll be careful about how much

  • 18:02

fun i have with it considering you all think i'm so irresponsible um but yeah the internet had a lot of

  • 18:08

fun you got to love the internet no you don't yes you do yes you do you don't have to the internet has

  • 18:13

offered us more good than that i was going to say you have to do but you have to enjoy the game that's debatable too but yeah but the good moments boy are they enjoyable

  • 18:20

it's just it's just the uh the two the way they make me laugh for giving them my social and credit card numbers

  • 18:26

oh yeah yeah no it's just it's a really bad dog that ate edibles this weekend oh

  • 18:32

jinx yeah that [ __ ] was fun jinx was almost out of here yeah i know that feeling i've been there yeah i know

  • 18:37

that feeling i felt like i almost killed daisy once uh that there was a video of a girl holding a dog that

  • 18:43

got into her edible uh collection how big was the dog though it was like a chihuahua a little chihuahua that dog was faded the little dogs can't

  • 18:50

smoke weed or eat weed no dog should hold on now brooklyn was cool

  • 18:56

no he was a smoker those two summers where i was trying to drug you i was testing on brooklyn oh okay that's a good strategy though

  • 19:04

uh you both handled it really well we were at and why was i trying to drug

  • 19:10

them all for something i had no idea allegedly oh yeah because you shouldn't drug people yeah

  • 19:16

uh we were at your house and maul was uh blowing weed that smelled a bit expensive it definitely wasn't like the reg that

  • 19:23

he may have copped uh he was blowing it in bailey's direction and she passed out in the car home and i was like all right she does

  • 19:28

that a lot fall sleeping car she's a baby wait me yes this was you where we were it was the premiere of love and hip hop

  • 19:35

oh at joe's house yeah okay and then in the morning she didn't wake up i got a little nervous and this was this

  • 19:43

was her dead about 12 hours later i've been there oh you posted that yeah

  • 19:48

this was like two years ago though my bad my bad babies yeah i'll repost that for specifically

  • 19:53

she was good yeah and that was just a contact high just dehydrated get a little pedialyte icy

  • 19:59

yeah it took a couple days yeah what do you guys think of this match-up being postponed

  • 20:05

maybe he sucked yeah i mean his you know it's unfortunate uh

  • 20:10

responsible that's what y'all told me to do y'all told me to be responsible for the shock to use my move anytime i don't want to

  • 20:16

do something i blame it on kovit but i don't know why y'all keep like let's just have fun with it why do y'all

  • 20:22

think ashanti didn't want to do this i mean she may went through maybe went through low keys versus playlist

  • 20:29

saw some joints on there she forgot about the cheat sheet the cheat sheet maybe she went through

  • 20:34

that and saw some joints oh i forgot she had that one and i think she started to put her list together and i love every single

  • 20:41

gyro feature she has but after the sixth one i don't know how it's going to hit this this is why hey i can't speak for

  • 20:48

nobody else this is why i think she stayed home [Laughter]

  • 20:53

hey hey this sample has never lost it i just want to tell you that part never

  • 21:00

yeah i think that's why she stayed stayed in the living room i played at ashanti which one tell me

  • 21:05

well if you remember i was on ashanti side the first time this was brought up then i started doing some digging i

  • 21:11

don't want your man that's a record listen ashanti and this

  • 21:17

is all jokes uh we want to respect black women we want to respect women that have

  • 21:23

provided so much contributed so much uh are we just having fun so so i do want to make that clear

  • 21:29

because a lot of y'all are idiots yes uh and though i never really plan on idiots listening somehow you do

  • 21:35

oh so these are continue to continue to listen i don't give a [ __ ] if the idiots listen to that it's okay idiots you can listen

  • 21:42

please keep listening idiot um stupid matter of fact stupid

  • 21:50

    keep listening stupid

  • 21:56

yo so uh oh my god all right so we want to be

  • 22:02

responsible in this but worried on the streets and my house

  • 22:08

the only street yeah word in my mind is that keith uh ashanti didn't want

  • 22:15

that smoke man and i did pick keisha though though i knew it would have been an uphill battle for her i picked her

  • 22:20

uh i didn't think it was gonna be very easy and i wouldn't have been shocked if she lost at all let me be clear this is going 11-9

  • 22:26

either way for me yeah but i'm i'm listen in my life i roll with the underdog type of guy i learned that about myself it's a pattern

  • 22:32

yeah i'm on an um i'm an underdog person me too especially when i think they have a real shot so that's what happened here mom i

  • 22:39

i know 20 songs 20 different reasons why she wouldn't uh want to come out the house but did y'all catch the jennifer lopez

  • 22:45

shade i did not no no i didn't know jenny

  • 22:50

i didn't catch it she was throwing the shade or receiving the shade none of this is substantiated but

  • 22:58

ashanti announced that she was sick and couldn't couldn't do the uh battle and magically an hour later

  • 23:06

j.lo tweeted uh a bunch of crying laughing emojis and then deleted it

  • 23:13

so they thought jayla was throwing shade that that was the shade no jayla was throwing shade

  • 23:19

okay what about it i'm just asking if you saw it not i didn't see it well there is there

  • 23:26

has been a uh probably doesn't matter to a room full of men but i thought it was important to point out there's been rumblings of uh some

  • 23:32

tension between ashanti and jaylon and i can't figure out why but i'm not a girl and i'm not in women's business but i can't figure out why but i'll be

  • 23:38

in music's business and you know she's saying some backgrounds maybe maybe told the world when she didn't need to tell the world

  • 23:44

if erv and if irv and um sold this song because we had the rights to sell

  • 23:50

the [ __ ] and the biggest one of the biggest movie stars and pop stars at the time wants the song i'm giving them the song

  • 23:57

yeah what's the issue no no especially when you have a bunch of hits like you're not short on hits

  • 24:02

if ashanti was ever short on hits i can understand what you understand that hits for days at that time so why

  • 24:09

why are we beefing about this one we're talking about two people who make these understand these

  • 24:14

and are millionaires but we don't know if there's a real shade or beef do we is it just

  • 24:20

speculation at this point well and i don't want to stay on this part too long and i want to get to the actual important [ __ ] but we've seen little

  • 24:28

petty back and forth we've seen ashanti when she was doing the b2k tour every time she performed this record it

  • 24:33

was her version she said a little variation of yo this is my [ __ ] i don't care who's

  • 24:39

saying it or what whatever it was okay okay okay some validity to it yeah but i mean

  • 24:46

listen i'm going to watch this whenever it happens laughing at someone getting covered this [ __ ] sounds [ __ ] up

  • 24:53

i don't think jennifer lopez was laughing at that i think it was the uh back in the house huh that's all back in

  • 25:00

the house yeah sometimes you got to sit down so then them two went on live i didn't watch it but they both look beautiful

  • 25:06

they're both gonna do great this is gonna be great whenever it happens i'm not even gonna make all the jokes i'm not but i will read the internet

  • 25:12

when they do it of course i'm i'm excited about the best of the comments on that one yeah

  • 25:17

yeah the ig comments be way better yeah yeah it's funny because the comments on instagram are great but the experience

  • 25:23

on apple is great yeah so you're making a multi-media experience and hold the phone and watch the tv oh then

  • 25:28

you really feel like a loser but yeah you can do that and then it'd be delayed so you don't even know what you're

  • 25:34

laughing at yeah also uh also the very next day uh they announced e40 versus too short

  • 25:42

battle of the bay legends of the bay not just legends of the bay legends

  • 25:47

period they're legends yeah legends period yeah but i'm gonna stay out of base business that was my take

  • 25:54

yeah these these two gentlemen are with it

  • 25:59

that's a good matchup though both very long careers both got a lot of hit records yeah uh man

  • 26:07

that's the match up i probably would pick e40 if i had to pick if i was on the spot

  • 26:12

right now he's he's probably had bigger records as far as singles go i think more recent big records that they're gonna

  • 26:19

probably perform a little bit better i love too short i love them both that's gonna be a tiger well i will be getting hyphy

  • 26:25

yeah i'm gonna take shorter than that i love e40 i'm gonna take it short okay sure got a lot of records with a lot of

  • 26:30

we're rockefeller what well you got a few joints with jay yeah but i knew that's what i'll take which way

  • 26:36

you was going does does a week ago make it more yes he should play it it should but

  • 26:42

absolutely we're not from the bay and i'm sure joe is staying out of bay's business i'm not picking a winner i do not have

  • 26:49

the range i have not these these if you're talking about two people with disc gogs that are

  • 26:54

like he already has like a trillion albums yeah it's true them both we talk about

  • 27:00

wayne having a bunch of albums or just a long discography nah so i'm staying out of this i have no idea

  • 27:06

who will win i just like this for the fact that i think a lot of the you know the younger generation that really don't know these two will

  • 27:11

get a chance to hear their their catalog that's why i like this they got a lot of records that were hits on their own and

  • 27:18

have been re-sampled and repurposed as hits recently short has been sampled a lot yeah yeah

  • 27:23

um but no this should be a fun it's a fun night i love i love it because the bay party's better than most most cities

  • 27:30

period absolutely so i think this is going to be one of those battles where like the uh was that the beanie

  • 27:36

man um beanie man battle where like maybe you didn't know how great it was going to be until it

  • 27:42

happened yeah like because these two man besides being two of the nicest guys in

  • 27:48

the world they have friends and they're they're friends and there's chemistry so like i think that'll be on display and that's what i want to see they're

  • 27:54

they're sound too the way beanie and bounty just the sounds are similar so if it flows well this they don't even

  • 28:00

need to stop the music in this one in fact like it would all blend well but i would love to hear stories from them too so oh

  • 28:06

hell yeah oh man yeah it'll be great yeah i'm here for it and that is saturday yes is it really yes yes

  • 28:13

it's lit this month is flying yeah if anyone has some real ecstasy not molly that's the night to

  • 28:18

pop real x real x ting

  • 28:24

real shroom things all right so that's that on that yeah uh

  • 28:31

what else we got what else we got last last train in paris uh this is where it's weird for me to talk about

  • 28:39

this album because i've talked about this album all decade yeah this is not a new

  • 28:46

thing for me sonically like this is just a really good album which leans into my

  • 28:52

theory that i get killed for saying again because i work with puff and y'all kill me but i've been felt like this about

  • 28:59

how he constructs albums it don't matter who you give him day 26 danny kane craig mack total

  • 29:07

    112. name him maybe he had a couple good ones too yeah but biggie would have had a few

  • 29:13

good ones anywhere this is it's what he did with the people that you didn't expect listen

  • 29:18

listen craig mack was the first one like he broke he broke bad boy i want to be

  • 29:23

clear so we we talk about biggie and his greatness but [ __ ] did this with craig

  • 29:28

mack and but big even [ __ ] that were trying to be marketed as ugly

  • 29:35

and i'm not saying that because i viewed it like that but craig mack did that biggie

  • 29:40

that's the brilliance of puff though like it wasn't about you don't have to he can make you look good he could

  • 29:47

polish you up he know how to make it's about the talent it's about the originality it's about the sound

  • 29:52

and if you had that puff would handle everything else you know he knows how to make you look like a star and that's just that's his power he can

  • 29:59

make you look good i told y'all i've said on this podcast before i think my 112 def jam story

  • 30:05

right with puff have i no i don't think so really no i'll give a short cliff note version of

  • 30:12

it um and boy was this a revelation for me in the music business at the time

  • 30:17

but because i was such a r b fan and i was wondering which one 12 was up 112 like they had whatever contract [ __ ] they was going through

  • 30:23

and they ended up on def jam which at the time was a really big signing i almost want to say i'm on that album

  • 30:29

i think i'm on their def jam album or they took me off for ludicrous totally understandable looking back you

  • 30:36

can see how wide he did that yeah no more more i'm just saying you only listen jump in why did you do that you came

  • 30:43

down yo this decade i want flowers for me all right you specifically okay nobody else got you cause you was with me don't do that

  • 30:50

i got you i don't know i got some good daisies for you don't worry about i got you daisies anyway this was a huge signing in def

  • 30:56

jam at the time mo probably suggested to take you off that [ __ ] like yo this guy loot is kind of hot in

  • 31:02

the south right now i don't do that i don't really fight with maul because behind the scenes in my career he has given me

  • 31:08

jewels that have helped me so when he publicly bashes me i kind of just take it but like it hurts that's friendship

  • 31:18

listen i'm kind of mad they weren't they wanted to put you on hot and wet hot and wet i smoked hot and wet better than ludacris

  • 31:24

[Laughter] does youtube have your room i'm joking

  • 31:29

loot up joking yeah no hot and wet that album they took me off for ludicrous but there was there

  • 31:35

were big marketing meetings this was a big signing at the time i don't know they must have spent a lot of money um and maybe kevin leor was

  • 31:43

we're having some trouble with how 112 was presented and how they would

  • 31:48

have been styled and marketed and they were missing puff but i didn't know

  • 31:54

that and man puff came in there one day

  • 32:01

and came in that marketing meeting and this is when the artist that wasn't allowed in those meetings would walk by and

  • 32:07

eavesdrop and he was just telling them

  • 32:14

y'all thought y'all could get this group and this group came with this sauce that's my sauce right right yes you're

  • 32:21

having trouble mm-hmm yes you need me he was going ham in there but it's fascinating he

  • 32:26

    tore them [ __ ] apart in there it's a fact it's a fact and then and that's again that's puff

  • 32:32

superpower you knew a puff act when you saw the video you could tell you could tell it was like

  • 32:37

it's like when you see a hype williams video you know hype williams video when you see it just like you know a puff artist when you see when you see it that's even with

  • 32:43

the talent that big already had and that mace already had if you heard how they was rapping before they got with puff

  • 32:49

right puff changed it he just brought him just a little bit more commercial where it wasn't corny it still felt like them but it was

  • 32:56

commercial and a larger audience would like it and the people that want to hear everyday struggle and machine gun fun

  • 33:02

all that can listen to that here's juicy they may said it best i was murdered p diddy made me pretty yeah

  • 33:08

and that's that's that's what it is puff has that thing and it sounds really simple um but he has

  • 33:13

the ability to know what's going to work and what's not going to work with unproven x

  • 33:19

and i know it sounds super simple like i know what would work and what would work that's the hardest attribute for any last person on earth

  • 33:25

to have yeah fam these these two young amazing talented songwriters

  • 33:30

not many people knew of and he made what i'm gonna call a cult classic

  • 33:40

looking at it now it this might have been the first playlist hmm no

  • 33:47

you don't think so i think khaled was putting albums out before 2010 that were more playlisty

  • 33:52

yeah he was okay i respect that and this one i know we used the sequence word a lot

  • 33:58

on this uh podcast a little too much this did have a sound and a sequence to it that felt

  • 34:03

like an album yeah oh no it was definitely an album but when you look at the ch it's just so many so he pulled from so many different artists

  • 34:10

well yeah i mean he had to he featured right you're featured right yeah yeah because right now but i've always said this

  • 34:16

album is way ahead of his time well he had the puff production sauce and then two amazing songwriters and all right i love this

  • 34:22

verse you just wrote let's just put usher on that verse right let me it's so it was a really simple

  • 34:28

formula that artist that he has a relationship with yeah let me turn up the corny meter real quick and really get corny on these

  • 34:34

holes um so puff came on the chatty house and was discussing the inspiration

  • 34:40

behind this album last train to paris so far and and and why he was i wouldn't say that

  • 34:46

cuddy 808s and heartbreaks wait hold on let's give rory some time to [ __ ] on someone

  • 34:51

he was so humbled to meet at his new year's eve party and let's make sure puff hears that all

  • 34:57

right so would you say he got it from so far gone

  • 35:04

which came from cuddy yeah yeah it all comes from cutting this this album does come from cuddy okay y'all are

  • 35:11

wrong but okay i'm trying not to [ __ ] on cutting

  • 35:24

he was on how to make in america that was our show listen uh see oh and he was just saying the

  • 35:30

inspiration from this album and what he was trying to get it to sound like and boy am i about to sound corny here but

  • 35:36

as a songwriter i appreciated this he said he wanted to make it sound like

  • 35:41

um like the world was about to end and this was the last train like this was your last ride

  • 35:49

okay like so it was driving music not driving like car but

  • 35:54

adrenaline it was that when he said that that this was supposed to be like the last train before death or whatever the [ __ ]

  • 36:01

he said sonically this album made a lot more sense to me

  • 36:06

then he talked about being inspired by grace jones like just being in a party and seeing grace jones

  • 36:12

and if you've ever seen puff party then he normally is that the party vibe man so for a [ __ ] like that

  • 36:18

to walk in the party look over and see grace jones party in the right way and get inspired as far as lifestyle and

  • 36:25

just catch a vibe right yeah no it was though it was dope to hear

  • 36:32

i appreciate moments like that on the chatty house yeah that makes it i had another one of

  • 36:37

those actually uh quick quick quick little fun fact that i learned so apparently the the talented gentleman that produced

  • 36:44

ushers caught up was a huge fan of the song pump it up when it came out

  • 36:52

it was like his [ __ ] okay so when he made caught up he took the drums and did what he did

  • 36:59

oh dope dope i was blown away by that i was amazed by that little tidbit no

  • 37:05

that's really cool maybe you should check it out and listen yeah right good luck hey the [ __ ] that

  • 37:12

produced on that album might have had a hard time getting some roy um so listen man i just want to

  • 37:18

celebrate celebrate puff uh paul for making an amazing

  • 37:23

class timeless classic classic another timeless classic project man and this

  • 37:30

guy did this with the band like the band sold records yeah that's that's that speaks to the power of puff

  • 37:37

and it speaks to the power of longevity that you could start in the 90s making all the music

  • 37:42

and the soundscape for that era and then be just as relevant in 2010 with what the sound is and pushing the

  • 37:49

sound forward and then how many people have done that and then in puffs khalid interview

  • 37:54

which was real inspiring if you if you check it out he said uh khaled asked him when he made

  • 37:59

his first million he said he was 19 and uh he was in the studio supposed to be setting [ __ ] up for a teddy riley

  • 38:06

session and teddy riley didn't show up so the second he didn't show up is when he made uh his first million dollars oh khaled

  • 38:13

no no puff oh puff puff he was interning and teddy riley didn't show up oh yeah i

  • 38:19

do remember that story he told that story before yeah just interesting to see people look back at their story in hindsight and

  • 38:26

talk about it all of these years later and see how far they've they've come especially when you get into how many times that puff

  • 38:33

could and would have been jammed up throughout throughout this and i'm not going to make this more of it

  • 38:38

but congratulations to puff on an amazing album he's been through some [ __ ] yeah 100 and made it through 100

  • 38:46

now all right i was really happy when this slid across my feed

  • 38:52

yeah welcome home we finally got some good news i like how they kept this under wraps

  • 38:59

i like how we didn't know he was out until he was out it was rumblings of it there was some rumblings there's been a

  • 39:04

lot of rumblings but when it was official it wasn't as big as a rumble yeah

  • 39:10

listen there were rumblings but even when i first saw the report that uh rowdy was released from jail prison

  • 39:17

wherever he was i don't know where he was um i wasn't sure to believe it then even well with both of them they've they've

  • 39:23

been making claims for the past two years it'll be out tomorrow rowdy they was hopeful that he would

  • 39:29

make it past the parole board yeah and then that whatever happened happened but just to see the video right hold up man

  • 39:36

let me cut this off for a minute just to see the video and boy am i glad that they did bring

  • 39:43

cameras and film this so i would be able to feel this energy to see to see video of him walking out

  • 39:50

of jail with all his [ __ ] there with the rolls royce there with some money i don't know

  • 39:56

how where it came from but it's there and i'm happy it's there he's smiling as somebody that has

  • 40:02

listen as somebody that has stepped out after a 10-hour bid

  • 40:08

it's an exhilarating feeling is what i'm saying fresh air your loved ones yeah do an

  • 40:14

interview yeah bring that camera over here yeah i'm really happy for him man i am so glad that he's home

  • 40:21

i can't wait to see what he does i can't wait to hear what he does and it's good for new york it's good for

  • 40:27

the new york music scene absolutely even better just for our young black new york kings man real

  • 40:32

happy to see it and he looks good yeah this is real happy to see him home um

  • 40:38

i just hope you know just stay safe stay out the way stay into the music because this this kid is a star i've said that before he

  • 40:45

got locked up um he's definitely a star and right now it's you know the time is

  • 40:50

it's open for him it's open for for bobby when he comes home like they have a slot that a lot of people are waiting for

  • 40:56

both of them so stay in the studio stay safe you know enjoy your time enjoy your family have fun but take your time too

  • 41:03

yeah like because i know he got he got he got he got stories now

  • 41:09

he got [ __ ] to talk about you got a lot of [ __ ] to talk about show a lot of [ __ ] he want to address um

  • 41:15

and it's a whole lot of people waiting for him so here's my question here's my question to you gentlemen and i think i'm gonna lean

  • 41:21

into this a little more for 2021 where i present these situations that put y'all in the artist

  • 41:27

seat okay so y'all are rowdy you come home

  • 41:33

do you put music out or do you load the clip up and wait for bobby oh no you got to um

  • 41:40

you definitely got to load the clip up and wait yeah i think you can do both i'm putting he

  • 41:45

he has to put out music immediately i mean not even sometimes your silence is

  • 41:52

valuable but he's been silent for how many years now that's the point yeah no like he could go just he don't

  • 41:59

have to deal well let me that's your ass let me get the rest of the room parks rory uh kind of to my point before

  • 42:06

i think it's better just for him as a human to just relax for a second get acclimated being back home get back

  • 42:12

to what's important family [ __ ] don't rush and feel like you gotta make up for the last six years people are

  • 42:18

still waiting for you it's not like you have to do an immediate thing and again advice that no one asked for but we're doing a podcast

  • 42:24

um yeah i i think he could chill for a second parks yeah i think that he should put

  • 42:30

out music he doesn't have to rush though certainly not through the holiday season and [ __ ] like that i wouldn't go directly from yeah jail to the studio no no no enjoy

  • 42:36

your family and just i would have to imagine that he's been writing and creating at least mentally a lot so i'm

  • 42:42

sure that he's ready to lay some [ __ ] down get the rust off yeah get back

  • 42:48

acclimated to being home like maul said see your family see your kids if you have some i just

  • 42:55

don't think that i don't think that he should have to deal with the pressure

  • 43:01

immediately agreed that comes with having to find a joint that's going to

  • 43:06

work because you've been so highly anticipated like i'm curious what his situation is like is he signed anywhere or anything

  • 43:12

like that or is he a free agent because that that changes things too i'm sh i don't know i would assume that

  • 43:18

he's still science somewhere he's too talented um i mean i know bobby was with epic i don't know if rowdy was in that deal

  • 43:24

neither um yeah that i don't know well let's let's look that up and we'll

  • 43:30

come back to that rowdy it says epic records he was with the bobby thing yeah if i wasn't mistaken right because

  • 43:37

epic was real excited about him right before he went in as they should i had i was in the studio

  • 43:43

why was i in the studio with rowdy uh what was we working on we were at uh

  • 43:48

puffs daddy's house working on something when they were in the other room that was daddy's house yeah rest in

  • 43:54

peace i was it was it was it was it was yes it was resting peace to daddy's house that was almost like a little bit

  • 44:02

before he got locked up they was in there they was in there having a blast i could see how

  • 44:08

i can see how it happens man when you're young and you get all your friends together you're moving and you're shaking i can see how it happens man happy that he's home happy that he's

  • 44:14

home happy that he's home man that's what i got yeah and hope hopefully bobby will be right right

  • 44:19

behind him soon so yeah chill out chill out and go load the clip up there's

  • 44:24

there's value in the silence is what mine and rory's point was you don't have to rush to do [ __ ] when you've been gone

  • 44:31

for x amount of years and i think it's just better for your mental but if you it's like some [ __ ] everything you just

  • 44:37

went through i don't think you necessarily have like an opinion i'm sure he got [ __ ] i'm sorry i'm sure he got songs that he did

  • 44:43

before he got he had to go away that he can just start putting out you know i mean that we didn't that we haven't heard yet

  • 44:49

but um he's a star man yeah he he's a he's a star yeah he's a star like he has his own

  • 44:54

sound uh his own style um yeah man i'm just happy he's home and

  • 45:00

again man just prayers to him and i just wanted to stay stay safe and stay out the way stay away from the [ __ ] because this kid is

  • 45:06

definitely a talent uh and bobby we hope we hope to see you soon man i hope you join him soon

  • 45:11

the funny [ __ ] is and this is why this is beautiful without bobby being seen in this clip at all

  • 45:17

you could feel bobby being happy that he's home for sure boy is that amazing for sure

  • 45:23

yeah i'm happy for them i'm happy for brooklyn uh well it's because it's because of bobby that he's getting out at this time

  • 45:29

yeah yeah so i'm sure is that stand up stand up [ __ ] one of the one of the movies culture we

  • 45:34

don't highlight enough we highlight a lot of [ __ ] a lot of sucker [ __ ] we don't highlight the real [ __ ] that bobby did enough well i was just saying

  • 45:41

saying to somebody other day we're gonna that type of stuff is received better in an aftermath like we're gonna

  • 45:48

we're gonna feel the effects of that when he comes home yeah when we get them both on camera when they both are home

  • 45:54

sit down you're gonna feel that and i'm anxious to see the energy when

  • 45:59

that happens versus some of the other stuff that has happened with people coming home and how they got home

  • 46:05

that's what i'll say about that real quick to circle back to that uh uh i hate circle back but to circle back

  • 46:10

to that uh last train of paris conversation i wanted to ask y'all we and we and be clear we are doing a year of the

  • 46:17

year end wrap up first time that we as a podcast will do a year in wrap-up um and we'll delve into this a little

  • 46:24

more there uh and i think that's coming out new year's eve but what are some of your

  • 46:29

what are your huh that's what we're shooting for yeah what are some of your uh

  • 46:34

favorite like niche albums that novelty act kind of albums that dropped this decade

  • 46:41

uh and what i mean is like last train to paris uh maybe run the jewels the first one i think that's more group now

  • 46:48

uh prime watch the throne is probably my favorite but there's been a lot of them uh the

  • 46:53

chris brown young though well the decade before we're in a new

  • 46:59

decade well okay so technically the new decade is not until january

  • 47:04

i know we all hyped that up last new year's eve but we were all wrong and it starts 2021 that's true really yes i i thought maybe 2020 would start

  • 47:13

me too yes oh cause i guess 10 to 20 would be you didn't carry the two or sorry

  • 47:19

that's cool i can't read math you thought i was paying attention carry the two don't worry about it okay

  • 47:24

yeah that does make sense then yeah well so we can redo the decade combos great yes this season who's ready for

  • 47:32

this season i hate lists here it

  • 47:37

this tears here uh i would have watched thrown high in that that list prime i would have the first there we go

  • 47:44

i still have my that's what i'm top 10 rapper the decade list from last year december 23rd 2019.

  • 47:50

how many do you still stand by i'm looking now this is what i have and i don't stand by all this but i will say it i have and this is in order

  • 47:57

my beautiful dark twisted fantasy good kid mad city nothing was the same my crazy life take care pimple butterfly

  • 48:03

teflon dawn damn 444 dirty sprite 2. what was that yeah albums of this list that was my albums my top 10

  • 48:10

rap albums of the decade and then uh r b i had which i don't stand by anymore

  • 48:16

seed at the table channel orange control anti house of balloons i consider that an album kaleidoscope dreams lemonade malibu uh

  • 48:23

nostalgia ultra consider it an album uh black messiah it's not a bad uh

  • 48:29

hip-hop album list yeah one of my uh one of my favorite novelty projects that

  • 48:35

came out this decade i have to say would be that uh that chris brown ep that very little people knew

  • 48:41

about it was called x-files but then i think his album that he dropped afterward was called

  • 48:46

x-file something let's call it x so x yeah but the ep dropped before that x found

  • 48:54

i think of uh 2013. whenever i talked about that in 2015

  • 49:00

circling back to my opinion back then i wanted us to check on chris brown and cover him with love and and grace because listening to the

  • 49:07

music it sounded like he was going to hurt himself boy is that my favorite kind of music

  • 49:13

when you think somebody's going to hurt themselves oh that's my [ __ ] um when you could feel that

  • 49:22

like i like when artists go through pain i'm about to say everything that contradicts why i didn't listen to tory lanez album

  • 49:31

i like when artists are going through real life [ __ ] and then they put it into music and you could tell and you can feel it

  • 49:36

and that's what i got from this i'm letting this rock for me hold up

  • 49:44

[Music] and i think this is the exact song i highlighted youtubers this is love to remember

  • 49:50

off that chris brown x-files project i just want to get to the hook and then we can cut it on and cut it off and continue talking

  • 50:04

oh we all know a dirty diana um

  • 50:15

mike check mike shut my [ __ ] i'm just down memory lane don't worry about it

  • 50:35

    let's go

  • 50:42

i'm dick ryan right now but y'all got the point uh i think r b wise which we've maybe talked about this

  • 50:47

on this pod in 2011 that like three month span where we got nostalgia ultra house of balloons and

  • 50:53

the cocaine 80s pursuit ep within a three-month span yeah was nuts and kind of felt to me

  • 51:00

made the r b decade of like what [ __ ] was going to sound like cocaine

  • 51:06

novelty list yeah yeah oh just absolutely all three or four of their eps was

  • 51:12

crazy and speaking of cocaine oh wait boy would i love a podcast uh by no id and james fondler just them

  • 51:18

too when did um yeah when did uh the frank ocean um nostalgia yeah when did that come out

  • 51:25

2011. i'm telling you within a three or four month span we got nostalgia ultra house of balloons and the pursuit ep yeah

  • 51:31

yeah like and molly was crazy that was something great that was some great music that that was great everything

  • 51:37

that was great everything i was broke as can be but take me back oh listen man the broke times those that

  • 51:43

was alright man those are the fun errors i had way more fun when he was we got to make it work word

  • 51:49

yeah everybody anybody with money to tell you that though yeah i had more fun when i was when i was yeah but it always sounded like a lot when i was broke i'll be honest oh yeah

  • 51:55

cause you're so stressed about other [ __ ] or boy the [ __ ] we put big through over that old mo money mo problems titles

  • 52:01

like [ __ ] shut up yeah you're a liar unpaid bill throwing things in our faces nah he was

  • 52:08

right yeah but um i like uh wale the album about nothing

  • 52:13

is i think a super underrated niche album of the decade that doesn't get talked about uh the the tribe joint

  • 52:20

i just like to see how hip-hop ages well i thought the tribe album was really really good the killer why are

  • 52:26

these niche albums the killer name was the album we i was

  • 52:32

but i think i'm about nothing was niche to a degree i mean if watch the throne was niche

  • 52:38

then i can say the tribe album how you guys said what's the definition

  • 52:44

of niche i think novelty was the term but okay not that those two words might not be interchangeable

  • 52:50

to some degree we're stupid so i just want everyone to make that clear i think we're going to make our own everyone's screaming at

  • 52:56

their phone or computer we are dumb we apologize the drive album that was produced before

  • 53:01

by lp before run the jewels was also phenomenal i don't know if that qualifies as nietzsche but that album was great screaming can i see

  • 53:08

the definition of these words please it's just why i kept asking scream man look up nishay for rory

  • 53:30

a comfortable or suitable position in life or employment right that's not it a specialized

  • 53:35

segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service you know a specific type of group

  • 53:46

don't worry about it why not by that definition you i mean a specialized segment which

  • 53:53

it was a special body of work of the market i assume yeah but what is that that means that's national

  • 53:59

small specific group i don't think jay-z and kanye west are just for a small specific group i think they're for a larger group

  • 54:05

well i took small out i don't listen to the colonizer's word you mean the english language

  • 54:10

yes yeah yeah yeah that's exactly what i mean yeah the guy literally pulls up webster

  • 54:17

every day you bring up the dictionary almost every argument okay and then i changed the meaning of

  • 54:22

things a true poet shakespeare i do think we would need to find a

  • 54:28

definition for novelty or niche album yeah whatever flush out this argument whatever you get the [ __ ] well in that case and then watch the throne can't be

  • 54:34

up there watch this throne is definitely niche you think so it's not like it's nietzsche okay novelty maybe whatever i don't care uh

  • 54:43

novelty the quality of being new original or unusual i can go with watch the throne be a novelty i'm stupid then whatever

  • 54:50

there wasn't nothing new original or unusual about that project it was unusual in that two huge acts making an album together

  • 54:56

the sounds were a bit different for that time they was putting like three different beats in one song it was yeah it was novelty-ish

  • 55:02

jay did that before best of both worlds challenged him and he made rockefeller

  • 55:09

uh i don't acknowledge the person he did that with so it doesn't exist in my conscience you problematic pieces of

  • 55:14

[ __ ] and also those albums could be novelty too tata killed all novelty of that

  • 55:21

album moving along moving along everyone

  • 55:28

um okay so tell me why all black people are supposed to be getting superpowers on december 21st that's the question i

  • 55:35

asked it's cause the planets are planeting up there something's happened the universe is

  • 55:41

university uh yeah i believe and i did a bunch of research so take forward oh here we go straight

  • 55:46

from straight from a tweeter straight from a twitter user i think venus and jupiter are colliding

  • 55:53

and it'll be a great light show it says apparently the galaxies are going to align perfectly and the sun will emit

  • 55:58

an electromagnetic energy that will only affect those with melanin i thought it was [ __ ]

  • 56:04

until i saw news stories of electromagnetic energy coming to earth today

  • 56:09

okay okay so i should wear more sunscreen or less which is it sun launches

  • 56:17

explosion of electromagnetic energy towards earth geomagnetic snow

  • 56:22

screaming how come when i'm right in the middle of reading something you just click away no i think it's the uh ads pop-ups you don't have premium

  • 56:30

you don't have a kmbc premium well anyway who cares about the story we

  • 56:36

don't have the fact check we're not journalists on the 21st rory parks you're not getting powers

  • 56:41

shut the [ __ ] up like stop hating let me report a black story yeah this is a blast this is for us i was trying to

  • 56:48

show you for us by us how the whites are going to change no this is not no no you guys first

  • 56:53

yeah because on on the white's website how they're putting this out they're saying it'll be a great conjunction of jupiter

  • 56:59

and saturn and will form a christmas star which is very white of the winter solstice they didn't mention anything about melanin

  • 57:07

it sounds better so you're interrupting white so you interrupted something to hate

  • 57:20

don't interrupt me again with your [ __ ] okay on december 21st whatever superpower i have will be used

  • 57:26

on you but figure out what it is the hell is wrong with this guy usually a super

  • 57:33

x-ray mission then that's kind of cool yeah let's figure out what it is whatever it is i'm using it on you

  • 57:38

what do you think i'm going to imagine my [ __ ] to be [ __ ] let's make it bigger like what are you talking about because you're using your superpower

  • 57:45

what's he trying to pause my superpower we've been interrupting our black king segment shut the [ __ ] up i'm trying to carry on

  • 57:51

tradition of the whites yeah anytime you get some power you want peace now look they don't know how to act when

  • 57:58

black is king black is always king and kanye said white jesus look at him

  • 58:03

now maul yes fellow black brother i'm only talking to you not them yes what what is your

  • 58:10

superpower going to be uh and there's some of y'all white people out there that take my black on black crime some of y'all white

  • 58:16

people out there to take take uh my white talk into a fence why are we can we stop doing that can we stop

  • 58:23

addressing people that take offense and that's hurt and that's bothered by anything that we say please especially

  • 58:28

especially when it's [ __ ] like yeah i don't want to stop let's stop addressing those vaccines and your reverse rates

  • 58:38

that's it simple like i'm not talking to people that's offended and hurt and

  • 58:43

oh it hurt me when you shut the [ __ ] up will your superpower be already is your superpower going to be to remove offense

  • 58:48

freshness man i just count that's just no one can ever be offended again yeah like don't be afraid offended by

  • 58:54

something that you say about getting super powers like who's shut the [ __ ] up tell us what you want to see without me

  • 59:00

uh i would love to be able to fly

  • 59:06

but you got the buddy pass already don't use up a superpower i'm on a companion companions yeah yeah

  • 59:14

i would like to know but if he can fly outside of the buddy pass he can catch the uh the game at the barclays and the game

  • 59:20

on the golden state can you bring somebody up he's trying to do a real life nba league pass piggyback ride of sorts to have

  • 59:27

shorty fly with you to the golden state oh yeah it'll get a little boring up there you know he would let's do it you know we would text

  • 59:32

ta and say yo don't even take the team bus i got you going ta look what you're gonna be doing

  • 59:39

my superpowers get on my back

  • 59:45

get on my back trevor trevor i'll carry you why did trevor make it weirder that's his name

  • 59:52

i don't know what my what i want my superpower to be when i was younger i teleport flight when i was younger i thought i wanted it

  • 59:58

to be like the ability to read minds but then as i met more humans like i don't want to know

  • 1:00:03

[ __ ] that's on you [ __ ] minds your brains is twisted yeah yeah i think god designed us that

  • 1:00:08

way for a reason i don't want to know too much it would be depressing so i don't know what i would want my superpower to be but i'm really happy that i'm getting

  • 1:00:14

one and they are not throw some [ __ ] at the wall man

  • 1:00:20

hmm i think joe would like to be invisible i could definitely see that [ __ ]

  • 1:00:26

creep i feel invisible now nobody sees me how come no one ever

  • 1:00:31

sees me i feel invisible around my own friends [Music]

  • 1:00:39

i've ever been in i don't feel seen now funny you should say that i'll tell you this it didn't feel like a power i felt powerless

  • 1:00:46

exactly the opposite of power but that invisible [ __ ] sounds good mind reading sounds good flying sounds

  • 1:00:51

good i would want to shoot some type of fireballs bullets or spider webs why was i so

  • 1:00:57

impressed by [ __ ] you can shoot bullets now you know why was that they doing that [ __ ] all the same way

  • 1:01:05

every day of town i promise you i was i was talking to this girl in atlanta the other day on facetime and i thought it

  • 1:01:11

was like a romantic call until she decided to show me her glock with a beam on it

  • 1:01:16

and then i was like you know her gun is way better than anything in my house i got a real

  • 1:01:26

yeah yeah but then she continued to tell me how it's trying triangulated properly so that the bullet

  • 1:01:32

hits with a dot i live by myself so i dare [ __ ] to come in here i was like are you getting naked

  • 1:01:38

or not you told her that they said this [ __ ] was on facetime with colombiano

  • 1:01:46

oh she was trying to show me she could protect me yeah i like that anyway so if you know a good

  • 1:01:51

gun connect out there sit it through hey dm us

  • 1:01:58

allegedly allegedly allegedly look at how you have to keep up in dating now

  • 1:02:06

oh man all right uh what was that saying super fun super i don't know i don't know but i'm happy all black people are getting super

  • 1:02:12

powers i thought this was a wild story when i first read it [ __ ] black people already got super powerful remember they told us black people couldn't catch

  • 1:02:17

corona bible virus yeah they move from that to we catch it more than anybody

  • 1:02:23

look at the spectrum first we can't get it now we catch it more than anybody what are we going to do how creepy we

  • 1:02:30

deserve december 21st huh how creepy do you think savon's superpowers are going to be oh super

  • 1:02:35

creepy you know what seven want to do unlimited breakaway sweats it makes the best playlist oh my god

  • 1:02:43

all different types of colorways unlimited

  • 1:02:55

yo do y'all like those new no those are new yeezys how little which ones i kind of do

  • 1:03:00

    them

  • 1:03:09

yeah like alligator teeth there's been a lot of yeezys i thought were ugly and then time passed and i was like

  • 1:03:14

yo wait could you can you guys believe that during that amazing classic era of music that rory was

  • 1:03:20

talking about earlier with the weekend album and all that that's when i was wearing foams

  • 1:03:30

yeah but looking back it's like damn that great error in life that's what i was giving them the phone posits

  • 1:03:35

yeah i'm sure you were getting hurt that was a shoe that we love that you look back now that's a terrible sneaker that's a bad shoe

  • 1:03:40

the original was but in new york they tried to freak it is when the phone went down like when they started throwing space and stars on it and like those

  • 1:03:47

were a thousand dollars real ugly no that's that's the classic

  • 1:03:52

copper is the classic [ __ ] when i had those panda norman pananorma whatever it was

  • 1:03:58

phones i thought i was killing the game oh yeah cause look what you could match with those a bunch of fluorescent green i'm sure you look nuts yeah i wouldn't

  • 1:04:04

phone crazy but anyway where where were we at super powers i believe oh we're all for superpowers

  • 1:04:10

    we're done we're [Music]

  • 1:04:21

there's a jesus joke somewhere in the slippers but

  • 1:04:27

go ahead park says album out [Music] [Applause]

  • 1:04:34

[Laughter] the christmas album we've been waiting for it's already

  • 1:04:40

mariah carey who right i don't know hey man we are here gift wrapping three

  • 1:04:46

available now on band camp it should be on the dsps soon they're taking their time so i tried the band camp thing and i [ __ ] love it

  • 1:04:53

i'm always gonna release on bandcamp from now on tell us more what do you love what do you love about it so i was initially intrigued by them because

  • 1:04:59

during the whole pandemic thing and the black lives matter movement they were donating their portion of the splits to either

  • 1:05:07

the artist or they're still doing that apparently or to uh it was a naacp

  • 1:05:12

legal fund to help people the protesters okay so i was like that's a pretty dope thing for a big company to do

  • 1:05:19

and i know there's like a community of like indie people over there it's like it's like how soundcloud kind of was it's a

  • 1:05:24

whole separate world so i was like let me try it and then the dsps didn't put my [ __ ] out when we said for them to put it out

  • 1:05:30

so i was like well [ __ ] it let's let this be the experiment and it's great because people actually buy music

  • 1:05:36

on band camp i think i sold more records like real physical someone bought the

  • 1:05:41

album in the first hour than i got from like the whole year of the [ __ ] we put out in june

  • 1:05:47

though how far and people can pay whatever they want like they don't have to you set a price but they can pay more

  • 1:05:52

which a lot of people did oh okay like yo here's 30. here's 15. here's 12. whatever you know let me hold

  • 1:05:59

something here you hear them talking that [ __ ] right now i sold

  • 1:06:04

your first album your whole album sold in my first week 99 cents four bucks yeah

  • 1:06:12

i don't know who got the four bucks single band camp headline was so disrespectful

  • 1:06:20

when it came out yeah okay gift wrapping three yeah we out here you got some good features on there yeah we got stove guy we got

  • 1:06:26

ransom shane noir my guy david bars who is really really dope uh he better be dope with bars in his

  • 1:06:32

name he's got him yeah he's got a lot of you can't beat david bars and i have bars yeah he's got bars marks i don't assume you to work with people that

  • 1:06:38

don't have bars and uh post my retirement i don't that's true and i would judge you if you did yeah

  • 1:06:43

i would come back to rap like dang look what i got park sally until

  • 1:06:50

yeah but uh yeah well congratulations congratulations gift better have a passport i believe he does all

  • 1:06:55

    right cool

  • 1:07:05

congratulations to uh parks and gift gift wrapping three man can you can you talk to us about well you made the deadline you hit

  • 1:07:11

sentence huh you made the deadline sorta yeah it's not on dsps though so i didn't hit the

  • 1:07:17

deadline which is kind of annoying because they just put it up when they feel like putting it up there's no like

  • 1:07:22

set hey we'll have it out by this amount of time it's got to go through their process of investigation

  • 1:07:28

yeah so yeah and this is bandcamp no no no no he's talking about the dsp yeah we went through like distro

  • 1:07:34

okay you know to get it distributed to apple and everybody like that but they do it on their own terms and that kind of sucks

  • 1:07:39

but that's the nice thing about bandcamp

  • 1:07:45

distributing through them is is not the easiest of processes or sound cloud or cash app

  • 1:07:52

    yeah yeah nothing bugs

  • 1:08:05

that's a good idea well now like i like rock marciano did that on his website it'll eventually be on the dsps but you

  • 1:08:11

could buy it for the first two weeks here yeah for the real fans that actually want to purchase my album yeah and

  • 1:08:16

give money to me rather than other people yeah i love it i love it i understand now i've never really

  • 1:08:22

understood why you do that but now i understand yeah i think there's fans out there that actually can yeah where are there one of

  • 1:08:27

these physicals no this is just for a digital download just digital download okay okay

  • 1:08:33

um while we're on albums uh let me hit the round of applause let's congratulate kid cuddy off

  • 1:08:41

for what he sold i think it was something around 195 come on about mad applause i think it

  • 1:08:47

was 195 197 something like that but it was lot of albums already it's been out for

  • 1:08:54

like three days oh well maybe they're just talking about projections yeah it's got to be a projection well the projection was high

  • 1:09:00

that's still amazing it was really high that's the cutty oh it's not a surprise to me

  • 1:09:05

not a surprise to me either because he always does that he comes out and sells sells albums that's true like a lot of albums people

  • 1:09:11

love cutting yeah including me and rory which was my point of saying if you have this large always purchase

  • 1:09:17

it and don't want you to change your sound don't change your sound the influences get your [ __ ] off go ahead

  • 1:09:23

it's called a documentary oh you did that i connect the dots i connected cuddy to

  • 1:09:29

all 150 000 fans to all of them every last one of them you don't know how far my dots go now

  • 1:09:34

you're right that dot connector thing is really traveling like my travel agent hit me last night like don't worry about it i'm a duck

  • 1:09:39

connector i was like this is your job literally please connect these dots you're not you're not a dot connector

  • 1:09:51

no because she was saying that the rates on new year's eve for some of the spaces i'm looking at is a lot but don't worry

  • 1:09:57

she knows the owner here or this person here she's going to connect the dots and i'm like bam

  • 1:10:02

okay oh yeah it makes her move her and shaker

  • 1:10:07

you still doing miami [Music] this time he won't snitch on himself

  • 1:10:15

i think i think i might hit the floor of the streets what's wrong with this kid my bad my bad bro

  • 1:10:23

secret society to go into my life i can tell you that my competition's heating up

  • 1:10:30

do you think i'm being consistent in what i'm spreading he's going to seven dollars i'm going to i'm going to egypt with one [ __ ] how the

  • 1:10:37

chick's taking me to greece what the hell you got going on miami is

  • 1:10:44

the top it's the talk plan where you're like oh she had a meeting crazy yo [ __ ] crazy i had a meeting on

  • 1:10:51

the beach for five days with girls yo i didn't

  • 1:10:56

even bring them naked girls around man you know miami though they just be around why was there content content

  • 1:11:02

yeah that's all content working on the working on the podcast yeah the podcast

  • 1:11:10

whoa that's a great idea to cut that out the podcast

  • 1:11:16

it's gonna be like old cinemax but the audio version

  • 1:11:22

oh no ain't no audio version just video it is a video straight to video it's gonna be

  • 1:11:29

like what what's the [ __ ] that uh my son and the rest of everybody likes a neem anime yeah asr

  • 1:11:34

no asr right the sounds yeah oh you like that asr broadcast

  • 1:11:41

oh my god look out blac chyna is that like the bone room coming for you oh wow we on this no not like the

  • 1:11:48

moon room but uh while we on this uh a boogie is starting only fans i got mad hip-hop facts that nobody

  • 1:11:54

    needs but it's for music a boogie's not getting naked don't disrespect them [ __ ] don't shoot this whole [ __ ] up over here uh

  • 1:12:00

allegedly uh yeah uh a boogie is starting only fans for his music which i'm saluting any of you creators

  • 1:12:07

that's finding creative ways to get to the bag when we don't know when our normal bag will be back to normal

  • 1:12:13

thanks it's kind of like band camp say that yeah similar ideas yeah you said say that

  • 1:12:19

again like that you just said well then i gotta rewind okay off the top and on top of that if you could post

  • 1:12:24

your music there with women that are listening to it naked now we're just merging worlds yeah you

  • 1:12:29

can't give away the broadcast idea hey boogie we're gonna get them sleepers

  • 1:12:36

on the podcast yeah come on man with you guys um so congratulations to uh a boogie on that what else we got what

  • 1:12:43

else we got what else we got that's important let's see let's see let's see let's see i saw that griselda's doing a live

  • 1:12:48

internet concert thing on title yeah untitled that's dope yeah speaking of different ways to get to the

  • 1:12:54

bag in 2020. i think we're gonna see a lot of that next year too though absolutely i don't think that's going away i think they're

  • 1:12:59

just starting to figure that out yeah but i think we're gonna see a lot of that next year i feel like i see a new meg performance

  • 1:13:05

every time i refresh my instagram she's in the live show bag with no seats for the entire 2020. i respect it i swag

  • 1:13:12

i can assure you we're doing something like that in 2021 as soon as i figure out how to make it make sense and look right

  • 1:13:18

and be worth everyone's time i'm going to rent an audience i mean an audio an audience auditorium

  • 1:13:25

sit us there in front of the empty auditorium and do like a big blowout live stream podcast

  • 1:13:31

i love it yeah it's a real good idea um all right you can fight jake paul on the undercard um i don't care about jake

  • 1:13:38

paul trying to get our numbers up bro our numbers are [Laughter] not according to some according to

  • 1:13:44

reddit anyways with that said um let's see there's a young thug project that's

  • 1:13:50

supposed to come out friday really that wasn't it yeah okay i'm just hope i'm hoping for r b

  • 1:13:58

thug what i'm praying for i just think it'll be hard i wish i knew what else was coming out friday so i

  • 1:14:04

could talk to you guys about it but i don't um young thug it's a dope album listen

  • 1:14:10

i've been a little disconnected from hip-hop so last week when we were talking about

  • 1:14:15

the albums and we kind of breezed through jack harlow's [ __ ] i didn't know that we shouldn't have breezed through it yeah no it's a good

  • 1:14:21

real good project it also it just came out four hours before we were yeah yeah we recorded early now so it's even harder to listen

  • 1:14:27

to but what i'm saying is y'all all told me that it's really good music i get that and the streets told me that it's really

  • 1:14:34

good music yeah and which confused me because he's white so i normally wait a little while

  • 1:14:39

to see if they keep giving it to me but everybody in the streets has great music yeah so i'm not really talking about creatively but on the business side

  • 1:14:47

like on the label side i didn't know how big of a release this was for atlantic

  • 1:14:52

um nice he's popular yeah i don't know he does he does numbers but i'm just saying i don't know so i

  • 1:14:59

went back i went back i listened i get it i understand yeah what album sounds like money sounds

  • 1:15:05

like somebody knows what he's doing sure sounds like somebody label would get behind he's talking his [ __ ] too yeah he could rap and i've seen none of

  • 1:15:13

the white rapper pushback that they normally get when they first come out like i've seen a lot of support for him

  • 1:15:19

he seems to be more congratulations atlanta congratulations i feel like

  • 1:15:24

drama took him around to introduce him and made him rap for real and knowing that he could rap

  • 1:15:29

for real it was an easy introduction like oh he's not corny right like this isn't the gimmicky white rapper [ __ ]

  • 1:15:35

we're gonna make him pop no i'm taking him to sway this the first time you're meeting him and he's going to rap really well yeah and which by the way we got to give

  • 1:15:41

drama a little credit here with the young axe he's he's got uzi and jack yeah in in this era

  • 1:15:47

it's not a bad combo it's a very good combo of who you've found and put on all right yeah i would

  • 1:15:53

i would trust and there's no strong's uzi if you guys don't feel drama put you on because i know artists

  • 1:16:00

are sensitive about that you shook a woozy [ __ ] right

  • 1:16:06

um you like the album yeah yeah i did it's good it's a good project real good i did i did like it it was a

  • 1:16:12

pleasant surprise uh for me i think that that tiller and static major records should go in the industry terms yeah i

  • 1:16:20

think that'll be the one that that breaks next yeah i like the fraud record and the bird course you do soul sample

  • 1:16:27

i'm here i'm here you know i'm always here for that and i like when artists like this work with damore

  • 1:16:33

hip-hop and even though fraud has done so much french montana stuff he's still getting his hip-hop back for sure sure and is still able to do the more

  • 1:16:40

you know commercially mainstream rap yeah shout out to fraud russ is great at that too it's true um here we go here we go

  • 1:16:48

hbo max will honor dave chappelle's request to remove the chappelle chappelle show thanks

  • 1:16:55

that's that's juice it's a little different that's juice in a similar move to netflix no it's not

  • 1:17:02

a similar move to netflix see just that fast i disagree but i'll

  • 1:17:07

read it anyway uh what's this up rocks premium all right in a similar

  • 1:17:13

in a similar move to netflix hbo max has announced that it will stop streaming episodes of chappelle's show following a

  • 1:17:19

personal request from dave chappelle according to uh cco casey bloys

  • 1:17:25

the show will be pulled from the service at the end of the year despite hbo max having no legal obligation to remove the show or current

  • 1:17:32

working relationship with the comedian yeah but see that's where it gets fishy no current

  • 1:17:38

working relationship with the comedian yeah well you won't have one if you keep it right i like that though that's my point

  • 1:17:44

yeah it's honorable but that's what i was saying yes it's honorable but but even if it's not honorable it's

  • 1:17:52

valuable because you should be on the side of the creator even if he hasn't created

  • 1:17:58

the new thing that you should support yet because you know it's coming right this was smart it was and also

  • 1:18:04

which we had discussed when the netflix should happen chappelle set that precedent early 50 million don't move me i'm going

  • 1:18:11

to leave if i don't like this place so if you're doing something i just like 100 million you're not going to move me now right so yeah you need to go by what

  • 1:18:18

he wants as a creator and a comedian yeah because he's not going to work with you it'll he'll leave he's done it before

  • 1:18:25

yeah and i think it just it sets it sets the tone i think hbo what they're doing is they realize that

  • 1:18:30

uh competition is here yeah and i think they're trying to just set a tone like listen we're we're doing

  • 1:18:37

the honorable thing like we're working with the creators we're not we don't even want it to be a thing where they feel like we not on their

  • 1:18:44

side so like yeah no we're taking the show off even though we don't have to but because he asked no

  • 1:18:49

problem we'll take it down yeah and i think that's gonna feel better going in yeah that other creators look at that like okay

  • 1:18:55

they obviously respect creators over here let's sit down and talk with them absolutely it's a smart move by hbo yeah

  • 1:19:01

i like it considering hbo max has been making aggressive moves to boost its content offering the decision to pull the iconic sketch

  • 1:19:08

comedy series is surprising shut up no it's not

  • 1:19:14

uh i think by industry standards yeah yeah no my industry stand is definitely the industry don't know [ __ ]

  • 1:19:20

the answer is in the sentence considering hbo max has been and i'm considering that has

  • 1:19:25

been making aggressive moves to boost its content offering that means you assume they can want to continue to

  • 1:19:31

do that the decision to pull the sketch comedy series is surprising

  • 1:19:36

no it ain't because they've been making aggressive moves to boost the content

  • 1:19:42

offering so i'm i'm getting in good graces with the person that i think is going to

  • 1:19:47

deliver great content for the next half minute and the person that everyone loves so that was the next one i'm nice that was

  • 1:19:53

the next line but it also speaks to chappelle's power in the entertainment industry mm-hmm yeah that's what the next line is

  • 1:19:58

he's got the juice yeah [Music] and and the ability to leave okay so

  • 1:20:05

back to me putting you all in the articy and this is inspired from this dave chappelle [ __ ] going on

  • 1:20:12

because i'm i'm thinking that hbo does see a value for this show

  • 1:20:19

that has not been created yet [Music] yeah to be in the business in a

  • 1:20:24

non-exclusive model that's important to note i think that

  • 1:20:30

hbo thinks that dave can put [ __ ] out everywhere at the same time and it'd be

  • 1:20:36

profitable for all you hear that hello

  • 1:20:43

people out there this is not a rant coming i know i know this is my rant voice this

  • 1:20:50

is the pre-ramp no not we know when it's coming it's cool i don't have a rant though you

  • 1:20:56

know how i feel i feel like i come in here and i ran it's like it falls on deaf ears like who cares some people hear some people don't

  • 1:21:01

but i feel like you got to see it for yourself true like it's pointless for me to come in here and say all the [ __ ] that i see you got

  • 1:21:07

to see it for yourself so back to y'all

  • 1:21:12

    there's a comp there's a company called jeans

  • 1:21:18

half of the country gets genes from them um talk about levi whoever it is

  • 1:21:26

y'all make the best gene in the world

  • 1:21:32

what is your collaboration worth with jeans.com or whatever their company is

  • 1:21:37

we got jeans what is your collaboration worth before you've collaborated

  • 1:21:42

because that's the position that creators find themselves in so i'm asking y'all when somebody comes to you and says hey

  • 1:21:50

we want to partner on a partner okay i'm so sorry internet

  • 1:21:58

we want a partner on a pair of jeans we want to license the genes or we want

  • 1:22:04

to buy some of the ip of the jeans is this a kit sub no but we can speak about

  • 1:22:10

kith uh after this i i have does not have anything to do with you i was joking this is totally about

  • 1:22:16

gauging the value of something before you've created it and putting a price on it at a negotiating table even though it

  • 1:22:23

doesn't exist the equivalent of buying a house without the appraisal without seeing the land

  • 1:22:29

seeing the lot seeing the house seeing anything i told you i'll feel sad miles uh saddlemeier said uh treat every song

  • 1:22:36

like it's your best one so it's back there of if you're telling me to use my imagination as a creative

  • 1:22:42

on what could exist i'm gonna imagine the most beautiful house in the world right

  • 1:22:47

but i have to negotiate a value off of what is unseen well

  • 1:22:53

how do you all do it in a it depends on the context because if you have a track record and have some experience

  • 1:23:00

doing a thing you can easily hear understand your value about jeans i

  • 1:23:05

don't know [ __ ] about jeans and what's worth what in jeans so that's difficult for me to gauge but for someone like chappelle who has done

  • 1:23:11

a trillion successful [ __ ] things he knows what his value is for a show you have to you have to um you have to

  • 1:23:18

have done something where you can negotiate from that standpoint of yeah see i've done it

  • 1:23:24

already but now i want to do it with people that respect the creators that that respect the content that

  • 1:23:30

respect the art this is why i hate y'all why because y'all gonna oh that's right what y'all saying yeah yeah but that's

  • 1:23:36

what happens what you said because that's why i'm asking because as the creator and all of this right [ __ ] that y'all saying

  • 1:23:42

you still got to come up with something like what are you what do you say not dave chappelle i know we don't make this

  • 1:23:48

i'm using the gene as a metaphor it could be music whatever you do so it's coming from a place where i've sold a shitload of

  • 1:23:55

jeans already and now i'm just looking to expand you are established as the best gene one of the top ten jean makers in

  • 1:24:01

the world you don't know the behind the scenes and the nuts or the business model of gene.com right all you know is everybody

  • 1:24:09

in the world gets genes from them right yeah what is my gene worth if i partner with them and

  • 1:24:16

collaborate with them that's what i'm asking okay are you looking for

  • 1:24:22

a number we want to try hey we want to create yes hey all right let's simplify this we want to

  • 1:24:28

create a gene we also want 50 of the gene well if you're going with gene.com

  • 1:24:35

they're the big dog in town you might not get 50 but getting 15

  • 1:24:42

of gene.com our gene you know the biggest gene in the world

  • 1:24:47

is probably more valuable than getting 100 of me making jeans out of my basement apartment got it and i need to figure

  • 1:24:53

out before any number what exactly do you want to partner with me for if you're the gene company that everyone

  • 1:24:59

goes to to get genes and they're just basic genes and that's just where this but it's not that rory james with the rory sauce i'm saying so

  • 1:25:06

are you trying to get a cooler demographic quote unquote a niche demographic are you trying to be

  • 1:25:13

next to somebody that is cool so you can move your brand out of this generic i just make basic ass genes like

  • 1:25:18

also that has to come into the factor what do you want from me i don't i don't implement it into your other jeans i don't need to hear it i

  • 1:25:25

don't need to hear anymore cause exactly what y'all are saying is how artists gets [ __ ] y'all y'all are right my my best gene in

  • 1:25:33

the world if i'm alone with it i might not value it as high as i would even though

  • 1:25:39

i make the best jeans right i might need the money and i might not value it as high

  • 1:25:44

as i would if i were in a different situation with gene.com so now i'm forced to negotiate

  • 1:25:51

you're valuing their community exactly what you're saying exactly i'll give it to a bigger group of people even though

  • 1:25:58

i have the better quality yeah yeah no artists get [ __ ] all the time with that yeah

  • 1:26:03

i want to okay let me go directly to where the people are but where the people are is owned by this particular brand that knows their

  • 1:26:10

worth that of the community they offer so they're not going to give much up and i thought about this we'll find another question

  • 1:26:15

i thought about this whole leaning into putting you all in the artist seat when i watched the internet kill me for whatever i said about kit cudi

  • 1:26:21

because they were killing me and in my head i'm like the same [ __ ] that's over for the podcast starting like fam whatever i'm saying only comes from

  • 1:26:27

like 17 albums worth of knowledge right and i understand that that's not a seat that everyone speaks from

  • 1:26:34

so i understand how i could be looked at very few like i see as different weirdo but if you put

  • 1:26:39

some people in the actual artist seat where you get out of consumer mind i think it becomes a lot easier to just

  • 1:26:45

understand some of the decisions made out there yeah but a lot of people see it's all about where you negotiate

  • 1:26:51

your standpoint like you you because of like like park said you take 15 of a company it's better than taking 90

  • 1:26:58

percent of a company that you know doesn't have but he said the company no not you're not getting 15 percent of

  • 1:27:04

this company but you can get 15 percent of the great gene that you make that we partner with yeah the collab yeah that's more of yeah

  • 1:27:10

how it goes if we're collabing i'm not taking 15 percent of the entire college no no well if

  • 1:27:18

you're collect depends it depends you might take 15 if you're collaborating collaborating there's in music there's a million uh

  • 1:27:24

stories of songwriters giving up half their pub to person people that did not write the song because it's worth it being on that

  • 1:27:30

whatever beyonce ariana grande record or whatever it may be they might not wrote a single word

  • 1:27:36

but i'm gonna give them 15 because this song is going to go quadruple platinum and back to the beyonce ariana

  • 1:27:41

grande and big jean company to work with them you ain't keeping nothing yeah like

  • 1:27:47

it's this is our standard over here we're taking this yeah we'll pay you but no we are owning this this is ours

  • 1:27:52

now that's how this company works yeah yeah kick rocks you and you're in your fancy team

  • 1:27:58

i like take your little fancy gene down the street

  • 1:28:04

at the knee yeah it's just a game of chess you just got to make the right moves and more importantly just do business with

  • 1:28:09

the right people that's true like if you feel like it's easier to do business when you feel like this company

  • 1:28:15

they're just good people they do things the right way they treat treat people right like you may not make the money you were

  • 1:28:21

going into it with but you're in partnership or you're in business with somebody that you know okay these are good people they do the right thing

  • 1:28:28

they give back to different organizations they help out they have great international programs where they bring kids in and

  • 1:28:33

show them the business and show them how things work when you do business with people like that a lot of that other [ __ ] money and percentage you

  • 1:28:40

can kind of sort it like okay i didn't get the percentage i wanted but they're doing a lot of great things like

  • 1:28:45

and and you want to be a part of a company that's known i wanna also have to uh pick your time wisely i guess like

  • 1:28:52

sometimes it may be worth giving up the one song and only getting fifteen percent on it it's just one song i'm gonna make a

  • 1:28:57

hundred songs it's not that big a deal right right i wanna uh salute and commend

  • 1:29:03

hbo for doing the right thing and staying or doing a move to stay in the

  • 1:29:08

good graces of a man that's just added immense value everywhere that he's gone yeah honorable and just smart

  • 1:29:16

business yeah yeah absolutely and smart even if they're scumbags it's good it's good business but once

  • 1:29:21

you do honorable things everything else to me falls in place i agree if it

  • 1:29:26

starts with just i'm gonna do the honorable thing right all that other [ __ ] will fall into place it goes back to me

  • 1:29:32

talking about deciding to go with band camp for this release right i like what they did right whether i

  • 1:29:37

don't know if that was performative or whatever the words are that people use i don't know if they're just in the right place but it's

  • 1:29:43

like i like it right i like it and that's important um the dip set collabo yeah

  • 1:29:49

i hate saying collabo that was a collab yeah but they took the o off it now the

  • 1:29:54

cool kids just say collab right yeah collabo i'm showing my age out here it's a collab

  • 1:30:00

uh well i was for the kitth and nick's collab this was a double collab triple collab a

  • 1:30:06

lot of collabing i like it kit set no chill no never cook let me get a shirt oh my

  • 1:30:11

god i didn't have lunch this is your bag is this my bag yeah you're the kids

  • 1:30:18

guy come along rory and the dip set guy what the hell here's the thing nick's

  • 1:30:24

sure i think maul wears just as much kit as i do and he knows dip set i just know one member i don't wear a

  • 1:30:31

lot of kids i saw some items that i was looking on in the rack and was like oh i know where

  • 1:30:37

you got that i looked at that one too all right i'm sick of y'all joking through seriousness does ronnie fee uh pig a culture vulture or not

  • 1:30:45

i don't know ronnie oh he didn't give you those sweats let you exchange some sweats

  • 1:30:53

he did do he did do the right thing with that by the way i don't i don't know if i actually actually reported on that

  • 1:30:59

because i know the joke was joe button is returning sweats as if that would shame me

  • 1:31:05

yo do y'all have any idea who i am you've taken back lesser i've done way worse than to try to

  • 1:31:12

return sweats i didn't want with yes jules uh

  • 1:31:17

but but no i was complaining about customer service and whoever the gentleman was in there

  • 1:31:22

that i was dealing with and trying to make a return and me and ronnie spoke behind the scenes and he

  • 1:31:29

sent me a cure package he apologized he made it right i appreciated how fast

  • 1:31:34

he moved to make it right because all i was doing was uh using my celebrity to [ __ ] publicly and

  • 1:31:40

weaponize my fan base i'm glad you admitted that though a lot of artists won't just that's why artists

  • 1:31:45

don't say that most artists do that and i hate when they that's actually one of my favorite things about twitter is like

  • 1:31:51

seeing people yell at corporations it's like we stopped was that lizzle with somebody that [ __ ] got her fan

  • 1:31:58

base to scream at uh coach usa or something uber eats or something for delivering the wrong [ __ ]

  • 1:32:04

i don't remember what it was and shout out to lizzo i support you even though um anyways shifting gears

  • 1:32:18

i was i was cursing out united on twitter one time because they canceled my flight when the weather was fine oh my god another airline story rory and now

  • 1:32:26

and then and then united they they dm me and i was still a little hot and i started typing [ __ ] i'm like who am i who am i talking to like why am

  • 1:32:33

i cursed this person out they did nothing to me they weren't even there they're not even in america

  • 1:32:42

a person that is just part of a corporation dumb but no i don't think ronnie is a culture vulture to answer but i'm not the person

  • 1:32:49

that should be answering that question i don't know what he uh has been accused of i don't know i'm not

  • 1:32:55

going to say he's a culture vulture but uh you know a few of them i won't say it either but i won't

  • 1:33:00

attempt to sway someone that does okay i'm not yeah i don't know i don't know him well enough to i don't do that if i don't know you

  • 1:33:06

personally i can't put labels on you but he um well here's a definition i thought that was a good definition of culture vulture

  • 1:33:13

uh a person or organization making a profit using unhonorable practices in a culture they

  • 1:33:18

do not care for is that something you think

  • 1:33:28

one thing i don't like and i think ronnie cares about the club is that a lot of the the people that work at kit that i [ __ ] with

  • 1:33:34

i don't like the fact that he kind of got mad at them for like the friends and family discount they did for the year like at the end of

  • 1:33:41

the year they tally up how much money you used on discounting for friends and family because they kind of crack down on that i went to kids a

  • 1:33:46

few days ago and they was like yo we can't do that you're no longer a friend or family but it's like when you look at the number of

  • 1:33:53

what this person that works there sold for you how much they sold in clothing that year versus yeah versus

  • 1:34:00

20 grand on families and friends and they made they sold 3 million worth of clothes yeah like you can't

  • 1:34:05

beef at that kid for that like he's that's what he's having relationships he knows athletes he knows rappers they

  • 1:34:10

coming in there he's like yeah like i [ __ ] with him like right i'm gonna give him my discount you know what i mean so i don't that right there i just don't like

  • 1:34:16

because it's like these are the these are the people that are driving this brand yeah because when you're going kids and you and you

  • 1:34:21

connect with one of the people that work there like they exchange numbers they let you know when things are dropping they let you you know i mean look up they

  • 1:34:28

look out so now if i go in i'm thinking like that relationship and that energy is still there they're like yo

  • 1:34:33

ronnie came down on me i can't really and i'm like damn but why what happened and then they're telling them like

  • 1:34:38

that [ __ ] like that i don't like i mean that happens a lot with uh bigger company gets you know they have different accountants and

  • 1:34:44

no i picture listen i get it i'm not i'm not trying to tell nobody how to run a business i'm just saying that now you're going to

  • 1:34:51

feel that because these these people that work there they have a real relationship with these artists and these you know and facebook

  • 1:34:58

or whatever yeah like they really create a relationship with these people and drive the brand for you

  • 1:35:03

so now when they they tell you like yo i can't do that it's like oh you know i can go somewhere else oh i can get a lot of this [ __ ] for free i

  • 1:35:08

don't even have to come here right you know what i mean do you think maybe the person at kith found some women they wanted to use that

  • 1:35:15

friends and family on instead of you and just blamed it on ronnie no okay it's not that's not the thing at all they they can't there's only

  • 1:35:22

two people that they can have friends and family for them and i found two chicks yes for sure for

  • 1:35:28

sure i have a job and it happens on tuesdays

  • 1:35:33

i'll call you when i leave my job and it would be nice if you answered the text so you don't have to call me and

  • 1:35:39

interrupt me at my job thank you goodbye all right that was

  • 1:35:45

ronnie no the people that call on tuesdays and fridays i'm always confused

  • 1:35:50

yeah [ __ ] is crazy yeah they don't really listen to you or care about your life is how i rationalize things but

  • 1:35:55

that's one of my toxic traits i called i called up my old barber jose to organize uh to set

  • 1:36:01

up a cut because my new barber that replaced him goes on three week vacations whenever he

  • 1:36:06

feels like it i don't like here's my thing when you decide to enter the the barber art form

  • 1:36:13

you are now taking talk about your personal life away you no longer can go on vacation i don't particularly care about your

  • 1:36:18

kids i don't care about your family he keeps trying to bring up his wife and kids i'm like fam

  • 1:36:23

my cut i don't like what are you talking about and just the entitlement in the chair

  • 1:36:29

when they tell you like yeah i'm about to go see my son in uh in michigan for a little while like family what about my peers i went

  • 1:36:36

10 years without seeing my myself what are you talking about like you cannot see your son like they're still going to throw up

  • 1:36:42

like what if i leave an extra finality i'm kidding comedy style by the way comedy style

  • 1:36:48

by the way um so yeah what'd you talk about okay kith i have i offer no opinion on whether uh

  • 1:36:55

fig is called or not that's not my thing i was really happy seeing uh dipset standing madison square garden

  • 1:37:02

getting freestyle off i love i love jimmy [ __ ] um i was real happy to see joelle

  • 1:37:08

santana back with his brother's uh brothers in the in the black bandana which is his signature thing and then i

  • 1:37:14

got to thinking is there ever a time where it's okay to get rid of your signature thing

  • 1:37:19

it depends on what's like this felt good to see him in the bandana yeah it's not like some signature things

  • 1:37:25

like you grow out of and you become more of an adult he looks funny don't grow out the jewelry like i want

  • 1:37:32

to see is just your thing the other week we talk about ghost face with the eagle bracelet thing yeah you might not want to wear that all

  • 1:37:38

the time today but guess what we identified you with it yeah it depends on what the

  • 1:37:43

thing is bandana is pretty timeless i think they've been making bandanas for a trillion years well he wore he wear it

  • 1:37:48

a little different yeah willie nelson still wears his mat dancer yeah so yeah it's all good if willy can do it then joelles can

  • 1:37:53

absolutely i think that's a pretty good rule yeah you guys have thoughts on this i love

  • 1:37:58

that i love the freestyle i'm never buying anything kiss ever again i thought it was dope

  • 1:38:04

well you do they sell other brands that you like that's what that's what i don't like about it well so does saks fifth

  • 1:38:12

so every story like they all sell other people's clothes got it i'm telling you what i'm doing

  • 1:38:19

with my black dollar not for you now whatever i want to do with it of course

  • 1:38:24

especially on the summer 21st i buy the things i like i'm not one of those people i say support black businesses but i

  • 1:38:30

also buy [ __ ] that i like to buy so i'm using my black dollar on what i would like to use it for which is not

  • 1:38:36

kith or ronnie feig i'm not trying to convince anyone else to do that but when the fig

  • 1:38:41

timberland collab came out i got off it when the feed carhartt collab came out when i was

  • 1:38:47

trying when i was trying to return all of these sweats i had no idea that the collab culture look kids coca-cola like that stuff is

  • 1:38:55

vulturey that [ __ ] is vultury to me okay to me in one way

  • 1:39:01

and when i just because what is he not him as in ronnie feed because this

  • 1:39:07

is not against him what are you adding to the culture you're slapping your name on [ __ ] that

  • 1:39:13

has lived in the culture for years and years it's a turn off for me so i'm not buying it

  • 1:39:19

some of it i definitely don't understand i agree with you no there are a little overlap when they did the kith

  • 1:39:24

polo collab come on man come on come on come on come on i don't know no but i do yeah i was in burdock now that

  • 1:39:30

you make that joke you know what i see what a kiss bird off collab oh no maybe that wasn't inverted

  • 1:39:36

oh that was in the kip story that was like your first choice it wasn't a kiss store in miami going on for long i'm seeing bird off [ __ ] and kiss miami

  • 1:39:44

yeah yeah what you mean going on little sales people in there tomorrow i bought a 300 shirt because i packed

  • 1:39:50

light and didn't have anything to wear [ __ ] looked a little big because it's final sale in there uh in miami

  • 1:39:57

final sale you can't return [ __ ] you better try it on so i pick up this [ __ ] whatever shirt it was but it was

  • 1:40:02

expensive a little t-shirt and it looked like oversized but the size was 54. i say yo you got this in

  • 1:40:08

the large say yeah we got in the 52 but th this is the large it's supposed to be over it's supposed to be oversized i take it

  • 1:40:14

back to the crib because i ain't got time with a hotel i bring it in there that the shoulder line is down down to here

  • 1:40:21

so then i'm like really you gotta lie to get this inventory out the [ __ ] store

  • 1:40:27

if i had time i would go over there and try to return the shirt or exchange the shirt and then they would drag me on the internet you do know that not just kids

  • 1:40:33

but like every clothing brand has different cuts for their sizes a large in a certain brand may be cut to

  • 1:40:38

be oversized and that's what their largest i did there's definitely an oversized t-shirt

  • 1:40:44

the oversized are you saying a large and then lying because it didn't fit where your typical large does

  • 1:40:50

is not the company's fault that would be your fault for not trying it on

  • 1:40:55

i'm he's losing me there's different cuts in different t-shirts they're not lying to you that's the large for that cut no it's not

  • 1:41:00

okay it's not because the because because on oversized shirts the lining

  • 1:41:08

is in place and it's built to be oversized not the line for the shoulder being down

  • 1:41:14

here on a shirt that is supposed to be oversized is what i'm saying rory and there's different oversized

  • 1:41:20

there's no you will not find any oversized in the world rory where the shoulder lining is down

  • 1:41:27

here on a 52. okay and if you can please please please show it to me

  • 1:41:33

definitely i don't see that that's just and how close fit and style that's not

  • 1:41:38

it's wrong it's a lie well to you to your original point i can't speak on him being a culture

  • 1:41:43

vulture i don't know them personally well y'all could tell me something about what y'all thought of the freestyle

  • 1:41:50

and and to the collab stuff i do think it's a bit oversaturated it's corny and there's a lot of stuff that isn't from i don't think everything's for me i

  • 1:41:57

agree with that but even with like the cards it's corny yeah that's corny with the card stuff and some other [ __ ] i do like look kids when they do

  • 1:42:05

collabs and take older brands and make them fit to the now as far as cuts and quality and different things or even

  • 1:42:12

with their sneaker designs certain new balances asics that are old and cool y'all remember those and make them more 20 20 now

  • 1:42:18

i like that type of collab [ __ ] so not i'm not going to cop the looney tunes gift [ __ ] but i do like when they do

  • 1:42:24

certain [ __ ] with carhartt i'm not going to cut differently now in 2012 i love carhartt car it's amazing

  • 1:42:29

but the way they do their original stuff is not how i wear my clothes anymore right so yeah all right i don't mind getting the kif [ __ ] because i know

  • 1:42:35

they'll cut it the way i like to wear clothing now so i'm not going to say every collab is horrible but no i'm not going to get the

  • 1:42:41

cereal or the looney tunes or anything coca-cola related i don't even drink soda but everything is not for me so i'm not going to kill anything

  • 1:42:47

i dislike it i got it and oversized shirts are cut differently

  • 1:42:55

had to get that last word in i love rory man oh my god tell me um tell me about this tyree [ __ ]

  • 1:43:01

nah you gotta read the caption i should god call it give us the time knowledge i haven't read this prior to this oh

  • 1:43:08

it's even better random [ __ ] i think of on flights one of my secrets for staying covered free is i sleep with the heat on

  • 1:43:15

90 degrees every night fast been sleeping at this temp for 15 years so it's nothing new

  • 1:43:20

but rumor has it if you catch covet it doesn't survive warm temperatures

  • 1:43:26

another random thought is people are not loyal to you this [ __ ] tyrese he was every [ __ ] way

  • 1:43:33

what the [ __ ] but i like that he let you know his random thoughts so i understand it another random thought is people are not

  • 1:43:38

loyal to you they are loyal to what they want from you never even thought of it that way me neither it's okay to be cool

  • 1:43:44

with people clearly see and know they want something as long as you are clear about

  • 1:43:50

their clear intentions just know as soon as they don't get what they want they will disappear faster than you can

  • 1:43:56

blink now that's fast and just leave you standing there confused shook and feeling like what the

  • 1:44:01

[ __ ] just happened mom take a minute to pick the gems up i know they're all over we need a vacuum

  • 1:44:06

i'm a self-professed alpha empath me too i think my alpha was turned

  • 1:44:12

fragile people away i mean they think he might oh that's a superpower would my alpha would type

  • 1:44:18

out about power earlier when that happens it makes me happy see y'all don't even know what makes you

  • 1:44:23

happy when that happens it makes me happy oh it's a trigger because i have one less person to love and care for

  • 1:44:29

yeah do you feel with your fragile [ __ ] the whale shot gonna get these from like i don't even follow tyreish i don't even know he'd be doing this i thought true

  • 1:44:36

yeah come on look at black tie gazing out the window at the uh the sunset you know when you gaze

  • 1:44:43

you gotta drop jules the look away selfie yeah i wonder what the temperature on the plane was with the paisley scarf

  • 1:44:51

what's that paisley covet joe said he did leave the ac on when he caught colburn so you might be right

  • 1:44:57

i was super wrong about that

  • 1:45:02

just as bad as my chance album tape i did not catch kovy from the

  • 1:45:08

temperature in the house like like i came in here and said got it okay that was really responsible by the way i do want to know one of my

  • 1:45:14

secrets for staying covered free is to sleep with the heat on 90. that's just one yeah yeah we get another secret he got

  • 1:45:20

more of them you got to keep you got to follow him you don't know when he's going to drop the seat come on you guys share the temperature before you go to

  • 1:45:26

bed what are you liking that it has to be cold i can't sleep in a hot room look at my skin bro you know i'm a

  • 1:45:31

68 man yeah i can't sleep in a hot rod i like i like a nice immediate you know in 74.

  • 1:45:36

oh no that's way too it's hot but it depends in the summertime i want to be ice cold in the winter time i want it to

  • 1:45:42

be a little cozy cozy as men as men as men we like to snuggle up in the blanket right even

  • 1:45:47

when we're in the bed alone big big comforter ac on yeah i'm there all day pillows

  • 1:45:53

i tried the weighted blanket thing worst decision i ever made really that [ __ ] is terrible

  • 1:46:04

you know when you get uh when you go to the dentist and they put the the yeah that's going to get an x-ray it feels like that and it's like dog

  • 1:46:11

like i can't i get the idea of it sure but just get a better blanket don't get

  • 1:46:17

it you don't got to get a weighted blanket just get a better down coming you got to get up you got to get you got to upgrade your dentist man you know they take x-rays

  • 1:46:24

without that thing now no my dennis is great shout out to dr derek

  • 1:46:29

put the thing over me yeah that's also the reason i don't go through that [ __ ] it's airports totally not super heavy anymore like the

  • 1:46:35

old big stupid ones like it's like some cool [ __ ] no you don't care you guys didn't pay my don't love my dentist he's great

  • 1:46:42

no i'm just sticking with dr fisher and his old [ __ ] yeah i told you all they're doing abortions just from like a pill now right

  • 1:53:13

this dildo they had they had uh lock him in he is milwaukee yeah i read something that the nba was

  • 1:53:20

nba was giving every team 30 million dollars because of covid and they allowing legal marijuana i'm like how's

  • 1:53:25

the nba run better than our actual country the world we got 1200 and they said hey we'll tax you for that

  • 1:53:31

later right coming back for that one yeah i want to see adam silva in the white house

  • 1:54:06

temperature always get the brother of the star oh my

  • 1:54:13

god that's funny but true oh man they tried to roll out daryl latimpatonko with chris dudley

  • 1:54:19

that's they could sign glenn rice when he was 50. i hate the knicks anyway

  • 1:54:25

all right what they signed mcdice we might have traded for mcdice when he was finished

  • 1:54:30

baker at 50. the nick's yellow [ __ ] trash both his knees going yeah let's bring

  • 1:54:35

him in bring him in now overtame him mom speaking of knicks real quick and we're getting off this thing julia's been hooping

  • 1:54:41

i wrote that i read something that's it oh yeah i thought you started shooting my guy no julius has been hooping so that's

  • 1:54:48

where this next statement comes from now tom thibodeau is talking about want to see what the starting lineup

  • 1:54:54

looks like with both julius and obi so tom i'm gonna tell you your opponents

  • 1:54:59

    will score 500 points todd

  • 1:55:08

nolan is not blocking much backpack yeah no that would be a badass oh that's [ __ ] up nero nolan what's the name i'm

  • 1:55:14

[ __ ] it up merlin noel new orleans what's his nigga's name man

  • 1:55:19

he was close darling i like nerlins though bobby porter's

  • 1:55:25

threatened me last season he's out of there didn't they do that for you

  • 1:55:40

all right let me stop cause he'll hook up [Music] all right where are we at where we at where we at what else we got uh your

  • 1:55:46

honor yo no no before we get to that let's stay on sports what y'all think of that game the other night uh bronze cleveland ravens i didn't know it

  • 1:55:52

was two days ago but man i didn't see that it was it was a doozy well you know you're watching but man what again i'm watching i'm actually

  • 1:55:58

watching some football now i don't i don't catch all the games but i like to i like i'm mad i miss this one because i like lamar jackson

  • 1:56:04

mark jackson had to sit out for a minute they said he had crams he had to go take a [ __ ] came back on the field and won the game

  • 1:56:10

for real yeah yeah i like him i like him a lot oh man that was good yeah my fantasy team might be

  • 1:56:15

doing a little better had he done this all season long thanks lamar jackson first round pick

  • 1:56:20

yeah they're coming they're coming through now the patriots are playing better right a little bit yeah they're doing a little bit yeah they're losing better now yeah

  • 1:56:34

yeah people are actually blocking sometimes is great a little something they're they're in the hunt they won't

  • 1:56:39

make the playoffs but they're in the how many how many games are the browns one without odell more they're winning they're winning

  • 1:56:45

games i hate when that happens because then now they're gonna say see we don't need uh odell no the brown's been a run heavy team

  • 1:56:51

yeah they've got two great kareem hunt man what's good man i mean

  • 1:56:57

we knew that from the kansas city thing but they got an offensive line too they got homeboy from the titans in the off

  • 1:57:03

season and nick chubb and the trump's next season next season i'm gonna wait but i'm coming in here with nick chubb versus saquon barkley

  • 1:57:10

say quang gonna get some heat out of me i mean you better finish a season next season yeah yeah or it's gonna be a new

  • 1:57:16

talk sorry saquon i jumped up and down when you got picked too but he was my favorite player in that draft

  • 1:57:21

but yeah he hasn't need a full injuries man injuries that's injury he's delivered when he's on the field though yeah for the most part

  • 1:57:28

josh allen man i'm so impressed by him because he was the last rank quarterback in that draft yeah

  • 1:57:34

he's involved happy film well i said before he got weapons and you got some coaching help in the

  • 1:57:39

offseason and the nfl started on time so super bowl should still be february right yeah it looks that way i

  • 1:57:45

don't know anything about when the nba season starts next week i don't know when to play everything is

  • 1:57:52

the same so far i know that uh last week they didn't have any covet cases i think for the first time in a while

  • 1:57:57

so whatever i don't know what changes they may have made but it seems to have worked so there was a point where

  • 1:58:03

it looked like they were gonna go off the rails and have to do 18 19 weeks but they say where they're doing the uh

  • 1:58:08

the super bowl still all right oh really who where

  • 1:58:14

well that's the teams oh yeah no it does say location too you still have an all-star weekend this year yeah oh no wait probably in the bubble

  • 1:58:22

all right oh no no no they pushed it to from to 2024. huh

  • 1:58:29

yeah excuse me in indianapolis this year all right

  • 1:58:34

wow all right um all right what else is important all for sports uh you want to get to tv your honor

  • 1:58:40

yeah we should have got to that off the hbo match conversation but they they're going to have all-star weekend but it's going to be a more condensed

  • 1:58:46

type of thing this year okay they haven't announced the plans yet they're telling the world telling them that yeah i love my people

  • 1:58:53

yeah nba y'all are that much in control we're condensing things yeah i know um tv your honor

  • 1:59:00

hbo max doing the honorable things

  • 1:59:06

it's showtime showtime oh still yeah it's unchanged but this was this was

  • 1:59:12

originally on right was it yeah i think the first episode i write was on prime oh no it's been a show time too yeah oh

  • 1:59:19

okay unless they have it on prime minister they do they absolutely they do i think right yeah it's on it's on plex

  • 1:59:25

now too hey oh showtime has a deal okay yeah because i definitely watched it on prawn but two episodes in man this

  • 1:59:30

is already one of the best shows of the year yeah there's a lot of a lot of angles that can go with this

  • 1:59:36

yeah it's gonna be real interesting i still i'd love to know how many episodes is in this order because that would help me

  • 1:59:42

it seems like it would be eight or ten just because of how slow they're

  • 1:59:48

going about developing the characters and the storyline and i don't say slow is a bad thing

  • 1:59:53

i really like how they're doing it the first episode they let us know what this entire show was going to be about me too but i

  • 2:00:00

and i've watched it about three times now slow as in versus the last show i

  • 2:00:05

watched was undoing and it was that was a lot more

  • 2:00:10

just fast paced i think this is wikipedia it has listed for nine episodes i don't know

  • 2:00:16

how to try it out but something like that i've never heard of nine well it kind of is kind of

  • 2:00:23

if you get people to subscribe brian will put me under this if you get people to subscribe for just this show then they have to buy

  • 2:00:28

one month for one episode uh really uh i never thought about that i see that strategy

  • 2:00:34

say it one more time so if you buy it it's just pretty subscriber just for this show right there's four episodes a month yeah

  • 2:00:40

they would have to buy a third month to get the ninth episode oh the ninth episode i didn't hear that one but that's like what my guys deal

  • 2:00:45

with that's good what's that show on youtube or we can watch it on the block they gave it to us free on youtube and then like the fun

  • 2:00:51

the finale you had to pay for it yeah that was a great idea like let you watch the whole season

  • 2:00:57

and then the last episode you're done yeah you got to pay this do we have any predictions without

  • 2:01:02

spoiling keisha why mop the floor stop stop

  • 2:01:08

cut it out i'm kidding comedy style

  • 2:01:13

i have been watching tv wondering where everyone's masks are and it's starting to annoy my i'm annoying myself i see scenes like wow it's a lot of

  • 2:01:19

people together i have a feeling this is probably filmed pretty pandemic for sure if i could guess absolutely

  • 2:01:25

absolutely uh i don't really have much predictions the way i did with the undoing none of the producers idiot left his

  • 2:01:31

asthma pump at the crime scene all right they found it you gonna die the end he was also carrying the

  • 2:01:38

phone to the gas station which he's on camera as like the phone was in his hand for a long time yeah yeah yeah i think the sun is gonna

  • 2:01:47

because he already said that he can't he feels bad yeah and then him standing there at the at the desk when his father walked in

  • 2:01:54

the courtroom you could just tell like all right he's not gonna be able to keep up with this but it's so much bigger [ __ ] happening

  • 2:02:01

around it yeah it's not even like who did it it's like officials are involved in this

  • 2:02:07

and i think that's where the storyline is it's in the the police uh chief all these people

  • 2:02:13

that are actually involved in setting this kid up and the racist undertones absolutely the

  • 2:02:18

real undertones right yeah [ __ ] that really happens yeah yeah no it's a lot of what the wire did about connecting

  • 2:02:24

the police mayor and street [ __ ] and how all those things are literally uh just

  • 2:02:29

to cycle together it would be connected if i asked the mayor to get rid of the car from me and they'd find it

  • 2:02:36

right yeah you had one job police chief whoever he was this guy was cheap but he was high in the police ranks yeah

  • 2:02:42

whatever he was that car should have been out of here buddy no but that's what he that's he [ __ ] it up though that's what the

  • 2:02:47

judge thought he was gonna do he said get rid of it he thought that he was gonna have it you know i mean and not only that the kid was headed

  • 2:02:53

to the junkyard right because remember the cop said the gps was on his phone was headed to the junkyard

  • 2:02:58

so he was on his way there and somewhere along the way i guess so now cause he went to the cop the cop lady his friend the judge did

  • 2:03:05

and said told the elaborate story about the car being stolen so then she put her spoiler

  • 2:03:10

alert for everybody yeah i'm sorry back to the more racial undertones if

  • 2:03:15

they said on the little speaker thing he ran a red light and he didn't they just pulled him over and then then they found out it was

  • 2:03:20

stolen right so yeah they just pulled the kid over for the [ __ ] of it great show yeah really really good show

  • 2:03:27

can't wait to uh can't wait for the next episode sunday brian cranston is trying his best not to do the best

  • 2:03:33

walter white panic face in certain cases so i can appreciate that but i am catching a lot of

  • 2:03:39

a lot of walter when things get a little crazy i like that part though i know i like it it's like a little

  • 2:03:44

throwback that's gonna be tough for actors when you become super famous for those one role entirely for the rest of your life yeah

  • 2:03:51

i don't see one no i don't see walter white the whole time but when he was like trying to clean [ __ ] i saw the walter white face absolutely

  • 2:03:57

oh that's just a normal white man panic face that's what i look like when i drop a beer yeah face that's the same way parks

  • 2:04:04

looks when uh when what's in the [ __ ] crashes he's like oh my god just reboot it it's okay

  • 2:04:13

but any any other shows y'all watching i started watching the uh flight attendant on hbo it's kind of good but you know

  • 2:04:20

i'm enjoying it i watched the first uh two episodes of manhunt the other obama on netflix i gotta watch it's real good

  • 2:04:26

that seems like a really really good show so far so i started watching that

  • 2:04:31

and snowfall is coming back in a few months so i saw that yeah you know hopefully hopefully with uh

  • 2:04:37

your honor and it's another show that's coming out i think in january another season what is manhunt about

  • 2:04:44

though it's about the uh the security guard at the uh the 96 olympics in atlanta

  • 2:04:50

where the bomb went off and maybe they tried to paint him as the suspect oh yeah originally this was a movie no recently it could

  • 2:04:57

have been yeah i think it was this was a popular story but um the first two episodes are great

  • 2:05:03

for i could see that it's gonna be a really really good series i was i was i wasn't sold on it until i saw angela

  • 2:05:09

from who's the boss yeah when she's in something yeah she don't come outside yeah so she

  • 2:05:17

comes outside it's for a reason yeah exactly and she gives me that the same effect we were talking about donald

  • 2:05:22

sutherland having an undoing when she shows up it's like white lady version of it it's like it's

  • 2:05:29

his body's buried somewhere and she knows um so real good show uh man hunter uh

  • 2:05:35

glad i was glad netflix put some new [ __ ] out there that wasn't in britain

  • 2:05:40

[Laughter] um let's see what else what else what else what else i watched a good

  • 2:05:46

uh a good bad movie or a bad good movie but that's my thing when i'm announced i like to find bad movies that i can laugh at and make

  • 2:05:52

it good honest disbelief that already sounds bad it's bad and it's it's liam knelt

  • 2:05:59

nielsen again playing the same role that they forced him into just playing for the rest of

  • 2:06:04

his life which which and i watch it which we were discussing i can appreciate someone that just accepts all right this is who i'm

  • 2:06:11

going to be this is who i am yeah and i'm just going to be that for every movie now and continue my career yep are you not gonna watch the uh not

  • 2:06:17

gonna fight it and try to watch the reagan documentary on showtime that's something i've been meaning to watch reagan doc on showtime correct

  • 2:06:23

what's the name of it i think it's called reagan reagan i believe so yeah i want to see that yeah i want to catch it and there's another movie that uh came

  • 2:06:31

out i think it's called monsters of man or or man i only saw it when i was

  • 2:06:37

scrolling and it was about damn this breaking [ __ ] does look good um damn it she looks good

  • 2:06:46

i wanted to tell the truth yeah right wonder that's how the this is how it

  • 2:06:52

felt it felt like they were really like truthful exposing that means they didn't

  • 2:06:58

feel this is out yeah look it's showtime showtime's trying to come up let's go show time let's go dieses and merrell

  • 2:07:07

reagan and jesus yeah man bringing the culture where it need to be dope i am gonna watch this and i don't

  • 2:07:14

remember the monsters man [ __ ] so when i go home and watch it i'll tell you about it on saturday okay i got a versus question

  • 2:07:20

for you guys i was talking to a soldier boy in the chatty house big soldier hope you paid your respects they

  • 2:07:26

would talk i did cool i did immediately immediately uh identified myself as

  • 2:07:32

little bro good good good i'm glad i'm glad as you should

  • 2:07:37

is it just glad [ __ ] you rory i'm scared big draco i do like that about

  • 2:07:44

chatty house i do like to see men greet other men and how men act around other

  • 2:07:49

men it's one of my favorite things to watch as a man how men greet other men yeah how men

  • 2:07:56

greet other men how men act around other men certain men men with a certain amount of respect i

  • 2:08:03

just i like looking at stuff like that okay and i had no idea that women

  • 2:08:08

were judging us off big and little browing like they don't want to [ __ ] [ __ ] that's little bros

  • 2:08:14

like the [ __ ] that's immediately identifying big bro it's like a turn off for them but they run around they run around a

  • 2:08:21

little assistant and big sis and it's fine it's true they do but it's cool so i i i

  • 2:08:27

immediately i don't think the chicks don't want to [ __ ] the little bros but they the little hoes

  • 2:08:33

little big hole we have this really bad habit on this

  • 2:08:39

podcast of when we attempt to talk about women we immediately immediately go to the host i'm trying to break us

  • 2:08:46

out of it i mean don't mean but we were in that type of conversation we knew what we

  • 2:08:51

were talking about we're not talking about all women talking about the hoes it's the difference but anyway go ahead

  • 2:08:57

who do you think soulja boys should match up with they were talking about well sonically i didn't want to hear that but i understand why they did that

  • 2:09:02

who soulja boy should match up with in a battle yeah think about that for a little bit because soulja boy was ahead of his time

  • 2:09:07

so that might be a tough match up to figure out who plays back to our back to our

  • 2:09:14

last podcast i said that uh cam might have a hard time with beans um

  • 2:09:21

i'm gonna pick cam in that hypothetical battle now i went back and and did the science on that one i'll

  • 2:09:28

pick cam i'm picking cam against beans i gotta think about the only new york artist that i feel like

  • 2:09:34

handles cam easily outside of the goat conversation uh is probably kiss

  • 2:09:42

kiss is a monster he has too many that you're just not gonna explain

  • 2:09:48

with freestyles bro too much to pull from kids shoulda had a different opponent a kiss shoulda had a beans or a camp no

  • 2:09:54

disrespect of course not of course no disrespect um but uh rory and more y'all got to talking about your

  • 2:10:00

hypothetical verses and for the listeners the last time they did this was who did y'all do fab versus mixtape

  • 2:10:07

fab versus mixed mixtape fab verse mixtape banks wayne wayne i don't know why maul took that battle

  • 2:10:13

but okay rory won that hands down pretty easily they killed him all for his selection in

  • 2:10:18

that battle yeah and now maul is back i might have to do part two we're getting shut down again

  • 2:10:24

gotta give the streets what they want um

  • 2:10:30

you talk to the streets yeah i just got the phone with them maul says no way that mace is beating no no way mall says

  • 2:10:37

no way cam is beating mason of verses you know i'm going with mace i think i'm

  • 2:10:42

going with cam i'm taking cam rory's going with cam and i think parks is going with camp

  • 2:10:47

i think it's a really good battle i think mace has the bigger records but i think cam in that 20 does more

  • 2:10:54

damage okay maul can your selection for this battle be better than it was the last time

  • 2:10:59

honestly can you [ __ ] up because they killed you can you [ __ ] up amazing do you have them you have mesa's catalog yeah i'm just

  • 2:11:05

saying double up absolutely the freestyles absolutely harlem world absolutely okay

  • 2:11:11

baby stace debut yes got it got all that was that do you have

  • 2:11:17

i don't know officer off the get rich or die trying soundtrack it's somewhere in here when are you guys

  • 2:11:23

doing this uh we didn't get into dates yet yeah no we just just talked about it

  • 2:11:29

all right i'd like to do it soon i just have to look at look at my schedule of staying inside your schedule

  • 2:11:36

have your assistant looking over well yeah no i i'll have my people yeah that's because i think a lot of a lot of people

  • 2:11:41

really don't know mace's music in this catalog like that

  • 2:11:47

yes they do i don't think they do they know a lot of hits they know i'm talking about just his cat things he's written no i don't think so either

  • 2:11:54

that may be true but you know what i'm saying like that's to me but that's why i love this verses [ __ ] because i think that's what

  • 2:11:59

it does for art for artists it it's such a huge platform it shows people like it's not just the records

  • 2:12:05

you know if they come out the house i i am going to have to uh they come out

  • 2:12:10

the house i'm going to have to implement something if they don't have to be postponed yes if they don't go on a hugging spree

  • 2:12:15

right well actually would you like to do this versus in the same room and maybe we perform the records

  • 2:12:22

that would be hilarious that would be [ __ ] that would be dope right yeah y'all should be in the same

  • 2:12:30

room that's just funnier i'm laughing already but yeah let's do that well i have a

  • 2:12:35

handicap because one of the bigger words in hip-hop i do you can't read well i can rap i just can't read

  • 2:12:42

wait what's the handicap you can't say [ __ ] yeah it's a huge game captain cam no

  • 2:13:01

started every verse out and i quote these are cam's words not mine exactly listen we'll we'll

  • 2:13:06

we'll touch on this let me keep us posted when y'all you know no we're serious we're going to have to figure it out and actually i don't mind

  • 2:13:12

doing it in the same room for sound purposes not actually the same performance but same room let's do it yeah i think that

  • 2:13:18

would be good um there was much to do about academics joining the chatty house

  • 2:13:26

nedescus set him up 187. i thought listen man if he would have

  • 2:13:32

called me i probably would have told him how how that might have went yeah but he had

  • 2:13:38

no idea he was none the wiser and that made for everyone's entertainment that night so what happened at joined chatty house he got

  • 2:13:45

on chatty house and and had to face the the council the

  • 2:13:51

chatty house council he had to go back and forth with whop dad and 21 savage and you

  • 2:13:57

no 21 no i wasn't in there as me i wasn't a murderer yeah i wasn't in there as me

  • 2:14:05

yeah yeah jake was in there [Laughter]

  • 2:14:12

yeah [ __ ] didn't call jake to the stage at all very different i liked it jkb yeah jkb um yeah so jake was in there

  • 2:14:19

checking it out act went back and forth with guap dad they spoke to each other like they

  • 2:14:24

wanted to fight each other shout out to go out there like i like them too and like there's a boxing match coming up soon between them two acting

  • 2:14:31

back down from that challenge um meek stepped in there him and act went back and forth for a little bit

  • 2:14:37

that made his rounds throughout the internet because you guys are recording chatty house conversations without uh consent of course sir against the

  • 2:14:44

rules i can't believe you i can't believe it yeah i don't understand why you [ __ ] just get to talking on this chatty house

  • 2:14:50

[ __ ] as if fans are not taping and selling the blogs like y'all are crazy but meek came in here did it back and forth with act

  • 2:14:56

attempted to explain his position uh excuse me all of this appeared to be

  • 2:15:03

moderated by 21 savage who solidified his spot as one of the greatest hip-hop uh mediators

  • 2:15:12

of all time and the conversation base was based around

  • 2:15:17

excuse me indigestion the conversation was based around i guess axe position in not only the

  • 2:15:24

culture but street esque street aj street-ish

  • 2:15:30

[ __ ] that's what i got and this was hours long and that's what happened

  • 2:15:37

i'm sorry i missed it so you mister you weren't in there on your burning rory wasn't in there

  • 2:15:42

more wasn't in there no hell no never on that [ __ ] did you guys at least hear about this i've heard about it yeah

  • 2:15:47

i saw people on the timeline talking about i haven't really fallen in love with chat house man i hate it i hate chat house i'm not gonna lie uh

  • 2:15:54

the rooms are getting a little too big yeah too many people talking it needs a mediator

  • 2:16:00

from what i heard 21 was a great one in this one and that he should be like a couple counselor but uh shout out to 21.

  • 2:16:07

but yeah i did the rooms are getting too large for me yeah i just don't want anyone over here i don't want it i just don't want to hear

  • 2:16:13

none of these dudes talking like it just feels like i'm on the phone with them and i'm like i don't even want to hear this dude talk i don't like talking

  • 2:16:18

on the phone yeah like get off my phone that's just how i feel with a lot of this [ __ ] but i understand i understand

  • 2:16:24

the craze and the hype and you know everybody getting on it and every day is more and more celebrities

  • 2:16:29

joining i get all of that but i i i'm a pass on this one all right so you guys don't necessarily

  • 2:16:35

have a take on act versus chatty house or i never have a chat versus industry no no i don't care about

  • 2:16:42

it well it was a hot room with 5 000 people in there people couldn't get in the room i get it it heated up rather fast and

  • 2:16:48

the talks were intense yeah i'll say that at some point tory lanez came there as well

  • 2:16:54

and had discourse with ack how did act do i have to imagine he was the one being

  • 2:17:01

attacked the entire time yes how did he do if you're asking me i thought he handled himself

  • 2:17:06

well okay better than i would have imagined in such a angry hostile environment but when

  • 2:17:13

you're talking on the phone i was going to say like is used to talking on the phone and talking to the camera and talking to people without

  • 2:17:18

actually having to talk to people so i imagine that he would have been okay there um

  • 2:17:24

but when he has to be the one when the whole the industry targeting him is like a

  • 2:17:31

different i don't know i have a real i have a real i have really different takes on

  • 2:17:36

all of that i won't share them publicly but people are powerful when you make

  • 2:17:43

    them powerful sure and i don't say that [ __ ] is crazy that [ __ ] ended with all them [ __ ]

  • 2:17:49

laughing and joking and i was confused well i was just about to i was super confused i think i know the answer to it super confused was anything resolved all your

  • 2:17:57

[ __ ] is clout chasey not you [ __ ] that's in the [ __ ] that was in that room because jake was in

  • 2:18:02

that room but it's a lot of it's a lot of clout chasey

  • 2:18:07

    [ __ ] going it's a lot of [ __ ] that hate act but want to be in this good graces it's confusing it's confusing like when i hate a [ __ ]

  • 2:18:14

i hate it his good graces a lot of people i would imagine uh up and coming artists like

  • 2:18:19

would like to be in his good grace sure i imagine some established artists it's true it's good graces it's true hip-hop has turned into

  • 2:18:26

something else man i don't know what's going on turning into now or or already started i said it's turned into something okay

  • 2:18:32

yeah got it i don't understand

  • 2:18:37

all right and that's my that's all i got there what a deep dive hottest topic of the

  • 2:18:45

week in hour three [Laughter] very little detail

  • 2:18:56

is there anything else happening right this second that we need to discuss uh okay is there is there any breaking

  • 2:19:01

news oh wait a minute we got breaking news

  • 2:19:07

you [ __ ] are ruining the giraffe hotel what what's that oh overseas oh my god

  • 2:19:14

i think it's in ghana it's in africa somewhere but man if i see a let me shut up

  • 2:19:20

because then they're going to paint me as the grumpy internet guy again and i do want to go to the giraffe hotel i'm just mad that all the girls are going

  • 2:19:25

there taking pictures just like that little mountain that arctic [ __ ] where's i've memorized all the pictures that

  • 2:19:32

women take from all over the world that look touristy hmm well are there giraffes even though somebody died off that that little

  • 2:19:38

wherever that little rock was that australia or somewhere wherever that rock is where it's a big ass waterfall and nothing but

  • 2:19:45

mountains behind yeah somebody fell and died uh

  • 2:19:53

in at that place while their husband and their two kids were the one where they show people like hanging on the edge of the cliff and

  • 2:19:59

like okay yes i know that yes okay then there's the other one with the the

  • 2:20:04

slide out pool there's a bunch of them out there but y'all are killing me with the giraffe hotel [ __ ] is there any other brave things is there giraffes at this yeah right

  • 2:20:10

there oh that's fire i'm not killing anyone for going there no it is fire what means you're overdone look at that

  • 2:20:17

what does it mean what a beauty it's such a majestic look at jeffrey see look now i'm not

  • 2:20:24

trying to eat breakfast and the giraffe stick his neck in and eat my breakfast i mean what's he want chicks love

  • 2:20:30

anything you can instagram i want to eat my breakfast i was in there you smell like the coleslaw because you could have that when i was in aruba and all the uh

  • 2:20:37

the iguanas and [ __ ] that would just chill around the breakfast area and for like the first day i was like oh this is dope

  • 2:20:42

feed them a little bit like chili iguanas by day three so get this [ __ ] mini godzilla wait for me you're

  • 2:20:48

not giving it any more bacon get the [ __ ] away from me yeah no definitely not feeding no iguanas with

  • 2:20:53

giraffes not on this vacation but not how much i paid for this [ __ ] i'm feeding myself

  • 2:21:00

  • 2:21:42

that guy's good aubrey's good you know why it's a you and a disadvantage when drake

  • 2:21:48

  • 2:21:55

you know i mean so it's like you know it's valid it's valid what you gonna say well self promoters are janky
