- 1:46
out in years yeah but when they go just where's condoms i haven't hung out on yours but when
- 1:52
you're gonna let the people just like feel your impact again first of all i'm asking you um
- 1:59
i don't know i want to start traveling more though i'm kind of over this whole sitting still [ __ ] like
- 2:04

- 2:17
yeah like that's what that's what i'm on so for new year's i say you know what i'm keep it quiet you know sit down chill in the crib but uh who's
- 2:25
who did you uh bring the new year in with did you have uh company family uh well my family you know my mom and
- 2:30
everybody's in the south down south now so i i wasn't going down but i spent christmas i had the crib to yourself first of all i live alone that's number
- 2:38
one i live alone big night no i live alone
- 2:43
i love it my mom's alone how long how long y'all staying down there talk to [ __ ] so i'm always alone but no
- 2:50
i was it was it was quiet though just me a couple of the homies came through after midnight we was chilling talking [ __ ]
- 2:55
drinking dude homies yeah homies would be [ __ ] no no no no women no women around damn it
- 3:01

- 3:12
chilled out and drank some champagne let's buy some music need a bunch of food there you go something light there you
- 3:17
go see why is [ __ ] what have you yeah what kind of thought activities were you into
- 3:23
i left new york mm-hmm i left new york to get away for a little bit just get some different air or some different
- 3:28
you need a different humidity there's a little different vibe a different scene yeah so uh yeah i was i was out of here
- 3:35
bright and early uh whatever morning that was where was he don't even know the days who's counting oh yeah thursday morning
- 3:42
new year's eve bright bright and early yeah that day went down there hung out had a blast
- 3:48
which streets got you was it atlanta was it miami was it houston was in vegas what do you mean where'd you go i went
- 3:54
to miami i went to miami i spent new year's eve at uh the puffsters okay uh wasn't a big party wasn't a big
- 4:02
shindig wasn't some quiet wasn't a dj it was just it was it was quiet for him
- 4:07
yeah it was quite fm just strictly like family and just close close close close friends i would
- 4:13
say so that was that was cool see because ten percent of puff is cool with me pause like i'm i don't have the energy to do
- 4:21
that no like a big party it's an all-day party uh no the park life is the party mm-hmm got it like i
- 4:28
may be left at 3 a.m tired it's time to go to bed in the morning
- 4:33
at nine they still going then if you check puffs instagram that night they still
- 4:38
going oh chris brown is there oh okay
- 4:43
this [ __ ] has not slept no he don't sleep so it was ten percent a party at at pulse real good time know he was there really really really good quiet
- 4:50
intimate time and the rest of my time miami i was in the room um i didn't budge because miami had the
- 4:55
miami had the spring break energy going sure no i i had no idea like i
- 5:01
knew people's outside we see the pictures of atlanta we see pictures of what's going on in houston i've seen you in miami
- 5:09
i have frequented miami through the year you all know that when when [ __ ] started getting funny and my normal turks getaway was deaded
- 5:15
miami became a getaway right so i've seen it super quiet super dead closed open
- 5:23
i've seen it with a little bit of people this was spring break is back is what i'm saying but like i was just out there three
- 5:29
weeks ago it wasn't this well it was new year's so the energy would be different
- 5:34
this time around yeah everything is open but once i got a little dose of that i kept my ass yeah kept my
- 5:40
ass in the room energy's different yeah florida as florida is is up and running there are people at the miami heat game
- 5:45
yeah but listen anytime all i ever need when i go out there is one good night give me my my gyro my gyro from from my
- 5:53
spot and give me just some rnr and i'm cool so i came back feeling really refreshed
- 5:58
really rejuvenated oh that's good just ready just just just ready for
- 6:03
2021 i plan on taking i plan on not playing with 2021 the weighted 20 20 20
- 6:10
uh the way that 2020 didn't play with me like 20 20 didn't play with nick this is the get back yeah i got i got to take it
- 6:16
out on 2021 i think 2021 is going to be the deluxe version not for nothing good we're getting some bonus tracks good but i had a year of
- 6:23
practice yeah either way either way this year is this year is going to fill me
- 6:29
last year i was low this year is going to fill me i'm with you on that i said that uh you know i i stayed low i
- 6:35
don't know until october i was literally in the house from december i think we went we went we had
- 6:41
a show in december somewhere yeah and that yeah that was the i hadn't gone anywhere after that until october so i
- 6:47
i'm like okay i'm cool like now i'm out of here but even in miami right like
- 6:52
i'm saying it was spring break spring breakish and i'm i'm saying i didn't leave my room so you can hear the partying
- 6:59
and see the traffic and the music from various places going crazy maybe all up until about
- 7:05
midnight 12 30. then you could hear a pin drop yeah in the streets
- 7:10
so it's interesting but i had a real good time just staring at the beach staring at the water staring at just staring at the elements i'm the virgo
- 7:17
just give me some elements and i'm good yeah i had a good time just being in the crib smoking sipping some wine and
- 7:22
listening to music and no matter where i'm at i'm bringing the new year in uh prank just talking to high power thank
- 7:28
you yeah absolutely rory what's going on man what's up yeah it was uh
- 7:33
i mean i didn't mean to isolate you yeah supposed to be down in fort lauderdale uh celebrating with my pops but
- 7:40
obviously had to cancel because of uh the covet [ __ ] but honestly as upset as i was it wasn't
- 7:45
nice to take in new year's eve super quiet i didn't even turn on the tv for the ball drop [ __ ]
- 7:51
like i did it in a real quiet reflective grateful gratitude
- 7:57
all those cool buzz words type of way real quiet didn't do the countdown just kind of sat there and reflected and
- 8:04
you know it was nice did you get drunk at least i did which i was told is not helpful
- 8:09
for kovid but you know it was new year's eve did anybody bother with a resolution or attempting to change something more
- 8:16
going into the new year with a corny cliche all focusing on me no it's kind of hard yeah my thing was
- 8:23
just being again we talked about being more present that was it more present more more appreciating
- 8:29
right now more for me was getting to it in the 2021 like that's why i'm on this home not playing with the year type [ __ ] oh and
- 8:35
for me it was you think what you want that's bad that that's bad i hear i hear the listen i listen back to our podcast and i
- 8:42
cringe when i hear me in particular not really y'all but me qualify something before i say it
- 8:49
or preface something before i say it or apologize to the offended party before i even said some [ __ ] man
- 8:55
suck my dick i am finished with that this year think what you want let's go you know i'm dead ass i'm dead i can't
- 9:02
do that anymore i can't it's like nails on a chalkboard when i hear it listening back so i totally understand fans that have a problem with that i
- 9:08
hate it yeah but that that we spoke about that suck my dick i don't want to apologize for people
- 9:15
just being overly sensitive and i'm not doing that yeah no we're not on that we're not on that but uh
- 9:20
okay so are you offended today the culture uh where where where would you gentlemen like to begin with cultural
- 9:26
critiques uh it's a new year do you want to start with the wrap up we could to wrap up stuff we could we
- 9:33
got a little uncle murdered a little skills skills uh i don't have skills which which one you want to start with let's start with uh who owns the wrap up
- 9:40
now let me let me know let me get right to it out of the gate for 2021. uncle murder definitely i didn't see too many people waiting for
- 9:47
skills there was everybody was like yo where's uncle murdad yeah so i think it's his name yeah he snatched it from him yeah yeah i think
- 9:53
he did you want a little taste let's give him a little taste of what that uncle murder sound like
- 9:59
he's starting right all right youtube this is uncle murders uh yeah
- 10:05
and wrap up over a classic beat
- 10:13
cause you'll definitely play this at a new year's party for wait a sure
- 10:38
you can't say that man
- 10:57
okay turn that down something oh yeah you know you turn around that's fine
- 11:03
he caught a little pocket huh yeah yeah he was in his little group he was his little group right he owns that that continues for 14 more minutes
- 11:10
yeah so we have 14 minutes or is it it was 13 50 14 all right so we
- 11:16
got 14 minutes of year and wrap up from uncle murray that sounded good did a good job yeah he did a give us some it was some jokes in there laughs
- 11:24
some serious parts he it was what the year basically was about i appreciate the dudes that's even
- 11:30
going to take the time to wrap up the year in a verse yeah because this [ __ ] wasn't easy last year was not an easy
- 11:36
wrap-up it was a lot to rap i think that was his longest one poss if applicable uh yeah i could see
- 11:42
very long last year it was a long year yeah it was a long year 14 minutes a long song so are they both just going to
- 11:48
continue to put out their own wrap-ups i'm assuming so and i wanted to ask y'all if there was
- 11:54
a life expectancy on these wrap-ups oh yeah it's not that's a two-week two-week run no no i'm
- 12:00
saying like in uh how long can uncle murder do this every year every year that's like forever i've been doing it three i want
- 12:07
to say yeah i know and someone took his from him that's why i'm asking well someone may take the batonnet somebody might take it from uncle murder
- 12:13
but right now he has it for sure so when he said he's done so this murder said he's finished after
- 12:19
this one see all right that's what i'm asking okay but skills has been saying he's been done with it since oh five
- 12:25
yeah yeah it's 2021 i think the people kind of retired skills is but let's hear
- 12:30
let's hear from skills you know your skills va's finest 100.
- 12:44
i said put on skill [ __ ] oh you want to hear skill [ __ ] my bad all right hold up
- 12:50
oh yeah no that's when you do the high one
- 12:55
yeah pause this so already we could kind of see how this occurred right we could kind of see
- 13:04
samples look at someone moaning 20 20 [ __ ] throwing up somewhere [ __ ] put
- 13:10
some reverb on the throw up reverb reverbing the throw up that was
- 13:17
definitely me after all the edibles and champagne oh
- 13:22
yo remember you earl that one time do it again in the mic yo earl in the mic now please metaphor
- 13:28
for 2020. yeah i don't know where you got that sample from but god damn it
- 13:35
wait stop stop stop stop see that's wrong too when you start the year and wrap up with self-promotion because we don't
- 13:42
care who you are necessarily and let me say i love skills yeah i love skills yeah but you can't i'm trying to see if
- 13:49
there was a point where he maybe just lost how the wrap-up should go cause what the [ __ ] is this
- 13:57
i don't i can't listen to that sample no the skills gonna do imagine being an engineer for that session
- 14:02
no parks was no no that was you you didn't engineer this
- 14:07
jesus your fingerprints was all over that one i got to start telling dudes where their fingerprints were all right so please
- 14:14
you want me to get right to the to the i want you to just play this so i can okay yeah i haven't heard it let me see if
- 14:21
the air horn will help no i don't think it needs the air horn
- 14:26
it's already not
- 14:41
is that was it something no it's eight minutes i was gonna get right there's he threw joe a little spice man i wanted
- 14:48
to see see how joe felt about
- 15:02
you are a whole ass weirdo why is mad skills calling joe button the whole ass weirdo because it's being alleged that you
- 15:09
jerked off to your dogs that's weird [ __ ] no and you are weird skills knows me in
- 15:14
real life you can call me if this is a point of contention but i'm just saying you know
- 15:20
in the year i'm more accused of you know but i'm not mad at the bar i'm mad at that it's always the ad-lib i keep
- 15:26
telling you all that are you a whole ass widow that's what you did cause you got to tell your engineer all right give me another try
- 15:32
i need to go back in on that part i think something's missing from this yeah come on man i feel you when he got the
- 15:38
engineer to give him another stack for the stacking though no no i need to harmonize that i need to know what that
- 15:44
is so skills so skills did the jada kiss and attempted to do the wrap up over disco beat
- 15:50
i don't even know if that's a disco beach i don't know what that is no that's not even that ain't that ain't the bpm's not even the disco listen
- 15:56
me and nas can't call anyone's beats trash i get it i get it i understand my place in the
- 16:02
culture which is important but that that's a bad beat yeah i don't that beat was kind of
- 16:08
uh not to wrap up the year nah or start the new year yeah that's that's exactly
- 16:13
i don't know you don't want that going into it leaving or going into the next you could have left that right in the session yeah yeah yeah that was a
- 16:20
bad b rory what say you uh i think outside of murder oh
- 16:25
i wish he was closer i want to hug this [ __ ] man you can't he just because he comes in
- 16:30
like a distant voice like he is a distant voice joe i just think that uncle murder man come sit with him
- 16:36
come sit with us man go ahead what you saying no uh i think outside of murder's just
- 16:41
being better outside of skills being super trash and the pocket he picked i think why murder's taken over
- 16:48
the wrap-up [ __ ] the past few years is because he adapted to the times of people liking salacious [ __ ] funny
- 16:53
[ __ ] headlining [ __ ] said in a certain way like people live in the shade room comments
- 16:59
all day and murder i think says [ __ ] that applies to what the ig world is doing
- 17:05
right now wait the shade room didn't pick up joe buttons a whole ass weirdo oh i'm sure they did i think they
- 17:10
actually went a little further but not murder does that they didn't they got they kind of been leaving me alone i wanted to put his own opinion into [ __ ]
- 17:16
like he just does the wrap up that fits now like skills just wraps it up really well because
- 17:22
he's a really good rapper and that's it and that's not the times we're in anymore that worked
- 17:27
five years ago six years ago it just gills you are the man but that was trash yeah i got a
- 17:35
does it get better huh does it get any better than that of course it does it cut it off oh yeah okay sounds much better in here
- 17:44
coming through the speakers who fixed the acoustics all right i mean i'm here this year i'm
- 17:50
here this year man no i like it these [ __ ] are not scaring me off my takes no more i like it
- 17:55
i like that i like it what else is yo trash you got to get a better beat
- 18:01
next year bro yeah yeah that beat that was bad i knew something was off when it was only two dudes that hit me
- 18:07
and said yo man i think skill said something about you it's like that doesn't matter
- 18:15
each other to drop because they drop i think on new year's day they always drop it in december well listen i'm glad they both had a
- 18:22
blast uh the uncle murdered did sound good though mercy is nice i feel like skills is dissing me because i like uncle murder
- 18:28
[ __ ] like why am i getting this everybody likes uncle murder and everybody likes you and everybody likes
- 18:34
this and joe yeah that that too i think you may have said something similar to it's over for skills wrapped up last year so maybe this was
- 18:40
just yeah but get back nah you you you dudes will not continue to banish joe for telling the truth
- 18:47
who's doing such a thing i understand that as an artist as a creative sometimes we're the last to know actually most
- 18:53
times we're last enough so if i'm coming to tell the people i guess i understand i'd be mad too
- 19:02
wait no i get it no i totally get it listen all right well i want to come right in with questions
- 19:08
not predictions but questions that you have for 2021 as it relates to music
- 19:14
um could i leave the house well i mean related to like artists
- 19:25
will artists be able to tour perform live i mean like artists specifically that
- 19:31
you maybe had some questions for like for me i feel like i'll eat i'll leave by example for me
- 19:37
uh damn i feel like i'm always targeting this gentleman but party next door is
- 19:42
right back on the clock for me in 2021. he just dropped like but i think he should be okay
- 19:49
i think he just dropped and i don't think that he can afford the long hiatus because we just had a
- 19:54
long hiatus so i would like him to drop again soon i think that would behoove him
- 20:01
that's my opinion but we spoke about this and we i feel like the bigger acts are shying away from me because they can't we get it so i don't
- 20:08
even want to stay there i'm just throwing some [ __ ] out if it sticks and sticks if it don't definitely a party album yes where the
- 20:13
[ __ ] is the internet that's just that's a joetic okay enough
- 20:19
of the hiatus like you have fans frank i'm a fan where's frank yeah but franklin frank ain't popping
- 20:26
out no time soon because that's frank cold cold and dropping and frank could be frank the internet has to internet but frank is it
- 20:34
necessary clearly clearly but i'm just saying in
- 20:39
2021 these are people i would like to see some music from outside of the blockbuster releases
- 20:44
uh on a month a-list is actually more what i'm thinking not even artistic
- 20:49
a-list is coming though if they because we didn't get that but are they that's the cause no they're coming
- 20:55
i know but when are they gonna wait till [ __ ] opens up because then we might not see any a-list
- 21:01
until summertime yeah outside of drake i can see a lot of a-list acts still waiting for more
- 21:06
information on where the world is gonna be not me they're coming you think i said [ __ ] it yeah no i think they're coming
- 21:12
i think they planned on coming the older ones i don't want to repeat [ __ ] i've said here before it's a new year with new energy
- 21:17
i feel like a lot of them were prepared to come last year and push their [ __ ] back i don't think they're about to push it back another year i think
- 21:24
[ __ ] will get back into their creation bag if it comes to that and you could just get a new project on a much smaller scale i'm looking to
- 21:30
see what kyle dion does in 2021 i am shout out to kyle that's my yeah
- 21:35
but no [ __ ] that put something out uh on my old [ __ ] [ __ ] tank i'm looking for tank like it's just people that i'm
- 21:41
looking for outside of the blockbuster releases speaking of blockbuster i also saw that uh
- 21:47
doc that you told me to look at uh the last blockbuster boy would agree i didn't watch that i didn't see that one i think somebody i thought you
- 21:53
wouldn't want to tell me that no that was not oh you shouldn't told me
- 21:59
a while ago i thought you mentioned to me that there was a doc about the last blockbuster someone else is picking that up it was really good though was it it was
- 22:05
great you saw it no i didn't see it i never heard of it yeah no it's fine actually no we spoke about
- 22:11
it here we spoke about this here and we were talking about uh how that was a thing block was the video
- 22:18
yeah i didn't i didn't see this though it was good uh it was it was it was good um but no more left right i
- 22:24
know y'all said it was one left i think this is about this was about the very last one okay the very last
- 22:30
one no not in alaska this was in portland okay i wanted the last blockbuster would be important yeah i want to say it was
- 22:36
boiling but it was real good uh back to music so that's what i mean about just predictions for the year just [ __ ] that you questions you would like to see answered
- 22:43
for the year i think that's a good way to set the tone for 2021 in terms of music yeah last year you know what last year i
- 22:50
you know i shouted out the podcasters for the amazing job y'all did just covering culture covering uh hip-hop because last year that was tough
- 22:57
to do and unless you're doing it you probably don't know how tough it was to do right with the lack of releasing music with all the morbid
- 23:04
stories and the lack of motivation it was hard just leaving the house like it was it was
- 23:09
just hard to do that so just doing that was an accomplishment this year though
- 23:15
uh in terms of changes that i personally would like to make for 2021 i want to be ahead of that like i don't
- 23:22
i don't want to be the guy that that is limited limited in what he
- 23:28
can what he can and what he has to say because hip-hop is limited
- 23:33
right now does that make sense absolutely okay like i don't want to be restricted
- 23:41
in that way or just like kept inbounds that way because other creatives are
- 23:46
feeling restricted in their abilities i don't want to do that yeah and i felt like that for maybe half of last year i did
- 23:52
well hip-hop is very hypocritical the hip-hop culture is a very hypocritical culture
- 23:58
and to a lot of degrees i guess in what way um just in a lot of things that we uh
- 24:06
we make cool sure you know i mean through music we make a lot of [ __ ] cool through music
- 24:12
and through the culture of hip-hop that when you really look at it you like there's nothing cool about that there's
- 24:17
a lot of [ __ ] that we don't accept from outside of the culture that we accept in
- 24:22
within the culture and it's just like like it's not it's just right and wrong that's just how i i'm designed there's a right and wrong
- 24:30
and and hip hop we make a lot of the wrong things seem like they're right right and it's not
- 24:36
yeah but it comes to a time where you all grow some of that [ __ ] yes yeah you do but it's i feel like i feel like i've
- 24:42
outgrown a lot of that oh absolutely but i'm just saying the culture period though
- 24:47
is very hypocritical like and we'll get into it as we go the culture's in us we're not in it yeah
- 24:54
but so are we hypocritical then is that what you want me to say that i've been okay yeah i think everyone in the world is a
- 24:59
hypocrite i've been hypocritical yeah i've been a walking contradiction well i speak more to obviously i don't think that's the beauty of life
- 25:05
not to step on your point because i agree with everything you're saying but i do believe that for me the beauty
- 25:10
of life is to be able to feel one way when i'm when i'm 21 and feel a whole different way when i'm 25.
- 25:17
oh no that's that's in life yeah like grow you learn in october yeah yeah so i like the ability to be
- 25:22
able to look back and even laugh it but somebody is dying every time we do a
- 25:28
pod it's new york that's the fireman that's true too like i i also like the ability to look back
- 25:34
and laugh at some stupid [ __ ] that i thought at one point like damn what an idiot yeah so like i don't wanna i don't wanna
- 25:41
yeah i want to allow for that is what i'm saying but i still agree with what we're all saying yeah it's just very hypocritical a lot of things that we uh
- 25:47
we say are not cool but then we turn around right now coaching and make it cool so that's all but we'll
- 25:54
talk about it more as we go on into the show so i'm the only one that's going to say what they look forward to or their questions or their predictions or
- 26:00
anything like that for 25 years my question is still when are we getting [ __ ] from the a-listers because i feel
- 26:06
like we got a lot of uh underground and b-list music quote-unquote builders i want you to respect nobody
- 26:12
you know not talent-wise but marquee wise so the question is do we get big
- 26:17
releases or not i i definitely thought for for whatever weird reason i did think
- 26:22
that drake was going to drop on new year's day i did but then well he announced it and
- 26:29
then backtracked when he said he wasn't ready yeah but i just i just felt like i'm like if there's any way that he would bring
- 26:36
in the new year would be at the top of the year like i'm driving no my [ __ ] is not up yet no
- 26:42
no maybe it'll help my [ __ ] is not up yet maybe it'll help nah um i know i make it i'll announce that i
- 26:47
know i make it look like my [ __ ] is up i now make it look like seamless but they down a little bit
- 26:54
yeah it's down man it's okay yeah i wasn't ready for that he wasn't ready for it or new yeah i was
- 26:59
ready for new music i'm always writing new music from the from the guys that deliver great music yeah i feel like drake will help you
- 27:04
bring you closer to the women friend because you guys can like hang out and listen to i don't think that's certain just go
- 27:11
hang out just go hang out with drinks show them that you are also a certified lover boy the day that that drops is not
- 27:18
for me to stand firm in my introvert bag alone isolated in my room looking at my [ __ ] fancy led lights alone
- 27:24
maybe you could be like hey you wanna listen to the new drake album with me wanna come over and suck some dick while
- 27:30
the new drake plays in the background no that survived
- 27:51
think what you want i'm not editing i'm not editing it out no that's great that's great i want to say that emotions
- 27:57
those are real films see what you want i don't care uh what other good [ __ ] is coming up oh smyrna
- 28:03
bobby smyrda bobby schmerter set uh february set to be released february i feel like they said i know we've done with this
- 28:09
we've dealt with this 75 times already i know hopefully this time it is accurate and he is home in february this time i felt
- 28:16
felt like it was it was closer to being accurate because i feel like the white people always want to let your man out and watch him see
- 28:22
how he behaves for a little bit and say all right you can come out and join your man yeah that's how i just picture in my head
- 28:28
yeah but hopefully this is this is true and this hole's true and he will be home but this is if he's eligible for that
- 28:34
good behavior thingamajiggy time off because his set date was
- 28:39
december but now it's supposed to be february yeah
- 28:45
yeah okay the new one got it yeah well i hope so i really hope that he comes home just because i'm having a
- 28:51
blast watching uh watching uh rowdy uh i just love when [ __ ] come home and
- 28:58
get right to it i know i said that before but like i keep seeing pictures of him getting right to it even if he's just
- 29:03
standing on top of a car with people filming him that's even that to me is him getting right to it so i
- 29:08
like to see that and i'd like to see him do that with his man so congratulations shout out to bobby schmurder hopefully he he does
- 29:13
come home in february yes um what else is on the music front 36 minutes is good enough well
- 29:20
cole dropped uh he posted this picture of a book with j cole posted the fall off features
- 29:28
so this is this is his it looks like it's his time correct the off season it's the thing
- 29:35
that's coming next the fall off yes that appears to be his timeline although i don't know if that's his
- 29:41
timeline or like the labels timeline because there's dreamers on there so
- 29:46
yeah but that's her he doesn't the label doesn't have a timeline for him cole does what he draws he dropped this
- 29:53
win this was right around some time last week um i'm saying that i don't know if this is the
- 29:59
entire labels timeline or if this is his personal timeline because revenge of the dreamers was not a
- 30:04
coal project so do we know that the off-season or it's a boy it's a coal project we don't
- 30:09
know that that's all uh the fall off the fall off is an album yeah he's announced that without the
- 30:16
title i'm talking about the two in between the off-season and it's a boy well it's a
- 30:22
boy it sounds like him and his wife are expecting that is true i would think i will not invest one
- 30:30
second of brain power into trying to figure out what cole is trying to tell me i only do that for beyonce
- 30:38
i'm not letting you [ __ ] cryptic message me to death tell me what you want me to know and then i'll know it
- 30:45
he told you it's a boy that's what he wants to know yeah but what that does say is that j
- 30:52
cole will be releasing music in 2021 officially absolutely because i do believe that and then uh jrd's yesterday
- 30:58
off season being confirmed i could definitely see that that makes sense
- 31:04
because uh that kind of plays with the sports lines that he used on his mixtape series before
- 31:09
yeah i can see it do you guys think that people are gonna let daniel caesar come back
- 31:16
uh they they like tried to cancel daniel caesar right awesome he was on a cancel list last year yeah i
- 31:21
think rory did that no daniel sees her and rory pieced it up okay
- 31:27
i think he pieced it up with me as well daniel caesar's are right in my book i'm just saying great artists people seem to have
- 31:34
effectively canceled him i'm saying does that change or turn over any in in the new year i'm all about what's
- 31:39
happening this year that's it i think anyone that drops fire is going to be yeah welcome back
- 31:45
the last album and nobody gave a [ __ ] well that's what i was going to say the only way i was fired actually sort
- 31:50
of canceled was because that last album was really really really good it just kind of went under the radar and
- 31:58
no one talked about it at all i could see if it was trash it would be like all right this is just a music thing the album was good
- 32:04
well he's he's one of those artists like i don't know if that does people really did not care because of of his comments and canceled culture and
- 32:11
things of that nature did we answer what he did for new year's yeah we did yeah what'd he do he didn't watch tv and he got drunk oh i
- 32:19
don't care about that all right anyway i added in self-reflection and gratitude
- 32:24
yeah yeah you did rory sorry yeah no i still don't care
- 32:29
uh yeah but i i i would welcome a damn she's album though in 2021 i like danny caesar he's a very talented
- 32:35
kid yeah i'm not well thank you for piggybacking off of what i said no i'm coming up with your own original thing that you like to expect this year
- 32:42
no i'm just saying because we were talking about who was cancelled what's up it's only him
- 32:47
they tried to cancel sabrina closely i know but it didn't really work well she didn't put nothing out so we don't know and we canceled cancel culture i think
- 32:53
once they realized that they wasn't cancelling [ __ ] they chilled out where do y'all see canceled culture in 2021 i don't see it
- 33:00
it's over unless it's someone like a legitimate reason to cancel someone and that's just called life at that
- 33:05
point the weekend prisons canceling people that should be canceled the weekend reveals next album
- 33:11
will be inspired by black lives matter and coronavirus pandemic um that's good i wanna i wanna
- 33:18
make that interesting to hear a little it's cloud chasey stop telling me about what the weeknd announced the weekend hardly talks well that's
- 33:25
true don't tell me about a [ __ ] weekend announcement until the weekend is ready to announce something
- 33:31
and i'll know that that comes with some type of urgency when uh like it did when he was beefing
- 33:36
with usher the only time i ever heard him just pop up and start talking about some [ __ ] shut up i'm calling all this [ __ ]
- 33:42
out croon about vaccines and covid at all well i think he's a coach well he's
- 33:47
gonna do that because he's cool enough to do that he'll do a coke drug flip with the virus and all types of [ __ ] i love when he does that but i don't
- 33:53
want to hear about your announcement i don't think the weakness is well this tells us the week and it's coming to 2021
- 33:59
yeah yeah we'll be surprised yeah well until he's closer to coming out i don't want to hear the [ __ ]
- 34:04
i do and i am tired i think he's pissed off listen we have definitely listen timeout we have to gear up for this
- 34:10
because first quarter it's announcement season yeah yeah i'm tired that's what i'm telling you i'm tired of the pr
- 34:16
this is yeah 100 it's not nothing against the weekend nothing against anybody that's actually
- 34:22
preparing to make announcements i got some coming too but i'm guarding up against these shits
- 34:27
yeah they're not gonna beat me down with what's coming enough for nothing i kind of like when especially someone like the weekend who
- 34:32
i hold in a high artistic regard i would like to kind of like figure out that the album is about paris and black lives matter as
- 34:39
opposed to being told and then going into it with a certain lyrical expectation or something
- 34:44
like let me be a little let us figure it out well the weekend is he's upset you know that's the pr move he's been he
- 34:50
was snubbed last year um he spent his whole year in character yeah
- 34:55
like you know what i'm saying yeah and he wasn't even nominated yeah so it's like i at this point he's
- 35:02
just like all right i'm not playing like this this year i'm going to be in your face and in your ears every
- 35:08
[ __ ] month and i think that's what he's setting up to do i do i think this is i think this is a personal year for him
- 35:15
it's also scissor time in 2021. she's two for two one releases sizzle yeah two two
- 35:21
different type of moods both amazing it's it's scissor tom 2021
- 35:27
i can't wait for says um okay look don't say that to me again this is the time yeah you don't want a
- 35:33
scissor not trying to scissors you don't worry about the scissors each other
- 35:39
not trying to sit here with me
- 35:45
yo let's get some things straight for 2021. i'm just sitting let's get it together it sounds like that's the show let's
- 35:51
get it together let's all get it together this year maul you not taking rory's place with these little funny
- 35:56
jokes no y'all had a moment in your place you had it yeah it wasn't a moment you said scissors yo you don't want to see i'm not scissoring
- 36:02
with rory i'm not saying with girls that's all you had to say oh you got to sizzle with the woman sometimes [ __ ] i don't scissor anymore
- 36:10
what's that i lost that flexibility that's this right yeah yeah yeah wait are y'all scissoring
- 36:16
no god no tell me i see still you did it yeah when i was nine to my cousin
- 36:24
what the [ __ ] are you talking about oh no see that's what that's what that's what the problem is and you got turned off from it no that's how you practice
- 36:29
now you got to do it with the right women get over here melissa you're sleeping in this bunk
- 36:36
i don't ever want to hear what it's a joke
- 36:51
uh anyway come on give me more music more music i'm round up 20 21 high vibrations give me more music
- 36:57
i think beyonce they're depending on us i think wait hold up hold up breaking news breaking news from the guy
- 37:03
that clubbed with her before no no i i i could see her dropping 20 21 though i could see that i could see
- 37:09
beyonce he did club with beyonce i didn't club with beyonce club would be honest
- 37:14
with beyonce you know what more yeah it was actually club i didn't close
- 37:20
but please this year that's like that's like when they would be like yo i was in the club with joe yeah you don't even know who that [ __ ]
- 37:25
is he just saw you in the club and was like you all was with joe last night pictures this picture you sitting right next to
- 37:30
her we were invited because of you like i didn't cloak i wasn't clean that's why i slept in the car let
- 37:36
them [ __ ] know i give a [ __ ] about mom i purposely sometimes you gotta let this
- 37:42
sick [ __ ] look at you how your brain operates i'm gonna sit in the car so they know i don't [ __ ] with one girl [ __ ] about more y'all go party [ __ ]
- 37:49
yeah let's cut the title chat i'm partying all right i'm getting
- 37:54
jealous i hope you get paid for the walkthrough i will be curious coming off the uh weekend thing
- 38:00
is are we gonna get an entire year of music that is about the pandemic
- 38:05
i hope not oh my god i hope not tell me what tell me what prominent artists can really think tell me what prominent
- 38:12
artists can really drive these bars home i hope not you gotta scrap it guys let's leave 20 20 and 20 20.
- 38:18
like let's let's just leave that yeah i don't ever want to hear about twenty-two lupe's gonna compare it to kung fu
- 38:23
somehow and it's gonna and it's gonna be dope
- 38:29
uh i heard a pusha t and mad lib rumor for 2020. i think that one's been floating around for a while
- 38:35
i heard um uh well we can go into the conversation all right so you can't say would you no i can't say what
- 38:41
was good it's about uh mf doom mad villainy two they've had recorded for a million years it was a
- 38:46
peanut butter wolf was on one up and he talked about that possibly coming out sometime
- 38:55
um i i did hear that 2021 they were going to try to put together a nipsc album of all the music
- 39:02
that he did with record we said that we said that last part right yeah oh i didn't listen to you
- 39:08
he didn't listen to himself yeah no we spoke about that like closed laptop
- 39:26
that nip had a lot of recorded music that they were gonna put out yeah so yeah i'm looking forward to that
- 39:31
album yeah it's really good in our absence the m snoop stuff has really heated up oh yes
- 39:37
i've been paying close attention to that one i have i've i watched uh benzeno was on
- 39:43
a queen's flip uh with uh with flipping g money okay so i watched i watched
- 39:48
yeah i watched i watched a lot of that listen man benzino made a lot of valid points he
- 39:53
made a lot of that and i know benzino's not the guy that people in the culture rush to and listen you can lose royce's number
- 40:00
no i'm just saying he made a lot of he made a lot of valid points you know what i'm saying a lot of things such as you can't come to the next
- 40:06
slaughterhouse video he was saying how eminem was um you can't either good good work he was saying how he he
- 40:13
just noticed early that eminem was somebody that they put into the culture
- 40:18
to kind of do the same thing that elvis did with rock and roll and he saw that that's a similar stance
- 40:24
that david mays had on the chitty chatty house last night that's excessive no but he was saying he was saying because you know if it's just
- 40:30
about lyrics and lyrical ability then why isn't you know cannabis held
- 40:36
at the same time make good music and his thing goes eminem didn't make the music [ __ ] buckingham palace wasn't lose yourself
- 40:43
yeah but these are that's why what benzene was saying was i'm not just going to push it on people
- 40:48
because they're white and safe no no that's that's not it's not even about a white thing he was more so
- 40:54
saying the content isn't what people run to hear like we don't we don't we
- 41:00
don't come from that we don't understand that we don't understand what it's like to want to kill your mom and kill your baby mother but that wasn't every song
- 41:06
no it wasn't every song but he was saying he and he said gave him props he said yo he can rap he can put words together really well and he had certain
- 41:12
songs that we like but you don't go back and play that [ __ ] you don't listen to it m music doesn't play anywhere where does
- 41:19
it play i've been i've been to west side gun con shows and all of these i don't want to say underground but
- 41:24
these underground type of artists yeah where in between sets you would think that that type of hip hop would be playing they don't play
- 41:30
that thing they're playing the m m where it plays somewhere yeah i can't no
- 41:36
no we're not doing that in 2021 click clear where have you heard somebody playing eminem's music not where i went yes rory it's hard to pick you up
- 41:44
all the time rory but he sells platinum every single time he drops it plays somewhere where
- 41:51
and when when are we when's the cutoff because that uh rihanna record the up tempo and the frequency
- 41:57
did i heard every [ __ ] story i went into for four years
- 42:05
y'all act like you've never seen a white person before draws all of the floor like a panther whatever that one was i say that when i'm
- 42:10
when i used to be out yeah right in like the store i'm talking about corporate [ __ ] i'm not talking about in somebody's car or somebody's house
- 42:16
but there are places where this place when i when i spent time in detroit [ __ ] our last show in detroit our podcast show i had a bunch
- 42:22
of people playing them like there are people that play it but i understand what you and some other people have said about like yes
- 42:28
people play because eminem is a it's a big business it's a big business i understand that but so what benzeno was saying
- 42:34
it was valid it was like bro we championed something and it was like but when you really look at it there are
- 42:41
a lot of artists from our culture that make the same type of rap but we don't ever speak about it like who
- 42:49
i mean if cannabis is one but he didn't mean good music
- 43:07
but there is there is validity to that i like some cannabis songs but in general he did not make as good of music as
- 43:12
eminem production i agree but i think what benzene was saying where there are a lot
- 43:17
of artists in our culture that are just as lyrical that people don't pay any attention to
- 43:23
why is that you and benzino excuse me eminem made the song white america he's
- 43:29
admitted this he knows this he knows that because he's white he's become a [ __ ] huge pop star he's addressed
- 43:35
it he's aware of it he came into the culture not to take it and say hey
- 43:42
i'm the biggest i stole everyone's songs the way elvis did he came in with a genuine love for
- 43:47
hip-hop he just happened to be a blond-headed white kid blond-headed white kids could relate to
- 43:54
so they loved him but to me but that's i just want to point out that i i wanted to talk to you all about m and snoop and somehow this has been a
- 44:01
benzeno and dave may's talk no this it all ties in once yeah it all ties into the what because what snoop said was he
- 44:09
doesn't listen to that he was like yo i don't listen to it that's not the type of [ __ ] i listen to
- 44:14
and he's not in my top ten i agree with that i don't listen to eminem on a particularly regular basis
- 44:19
but he does make quality music that it was popular and he wrapped at a high level and every
- 44:26
song was not about killing his mom and his daughter absolutely no i'm not saying every single songs that were about real things absolutely uh
- 44:31
i love eminem let me just be clear on that but i do understand how people that are in the culture can view him in that way well let's love
- 44:39
him enough to keep this topic concise back to snoop and eminem yeah it's all
- 44:44
the same no it's not it is well what transpired
- 44:49
since our last conversation about snooping well nobody gives a [ __ ] if uh there's a m and benzino beef it's not it
- 44:55
wasn't about beef he was talking about his points he wasn't about him but that's what you're saying yeah it
- 45:01
wasn't about a beast he was just saying what he was saying back then is what everyone seems to be
- 45:06
saying now well all snoop was saying was you're not my top 10 and quite frankly if you put me on a if i
- 45:13
had to do without your music i could now what m stance is is hey
- 45:18
last time i seen you everything was all good like we was cool like same camp same click same like why am i getting this type of
- 45:24
energy i understand both sides yeah i can understand that yeah i mean this is just the beef that i don't want
- 45:30
to see progress this is the beef i don't want to hear music from
- 45:35
uh but i get it although zeus was a dope record i heard em's response i didn't really like it we could play it
- 45:40
everything he said by the way was fine like up to a point you know when he like like hey i've
- 45:47
never said like him saying that that he i'm not in his top 10 because there's some rappers from the
- 45:52
90s that i can't [ __ ] with i you know hey him saying dre made the best version of me
- 45:57
absolutely why would i have a problem with that would i be here without drinks
- 46:04
the rappers you mentioned from the 90s krs 1 begetty kane g rap like i've never said i could [ __ ]
- 46:09
with them i never said that you know what i'm saying so it's all like everything was good until like hit
- 46:15
you know it was more like i think it was more about the tone he was using that caught me off guard because i'm like yo
- 46:23
this is bothersome to me listening to this clip um ironically because of tone
- 46:30
i don't like m's tone in expressing that he doesn't like the tones yeah you
- 46:36
know he was talking about i didn't like his tone before he got to that part um just and you can hear it's not
- 46:42
something that he really wanted to do um it's kind of the same way i felt when he was responding to me through them
- 46:49
interviews and songs like it didn't feel like it didn't sound like that was something you wanted to do
- 46:54
but just did it it's like as far as addressing it or addressing it in an interview addressing
- 47:00
it it it existing having to address it like all the fact that all of this exists it
- 47:05
sounds like it's worrisome for him that's how it sounds and then he says it wasn't
- 47:10
any of that which means it was all of that and it gets to it was the tone and that's where i just have a huge
- 47:17
issue in hip-hop and hip-hop critiquing and culture critiquing or whatever the [ __ ] you want to call it now
- 47:23
are we tone policing i think you can just somebody because that's the exact
- 47:28
person i'm not mad at that existing you give rory
- 47:34
yeah i was gonna respond but go ahead because i know it's i'm not mad at what you saying as humans instinctually
- 47:40
we would feel something if our friend or someone we were closely affiliated with did that
- 47:47
cool when you say it publicly it sounds like [ __ ] like him saying
- 47:53
y'all don't have a problem with all the people you put ahead of me in your top 10 and you're not listening to my [ __ ] like that was cool
- 47:58
no it wasn't why why do you say no it wasn't because he had a problem with it
- 48:10
i think that's a lazy scapegoat i think it's true but i also think it's a lazy scapegoat
- 48:17
the reason why i believe what he's saying because he he did say i never said i was better than any of those guys
- 48:22
and which is true he never said that so that's why i believe that that part of him saying like i don't have a problem with you having these
- 48:28
guys ahead of me i never said the big time [ __ ] feel away when anybody say something about him let me
- 48:33
start there that's my premise i'm starting with that it's just it's just added on when you know the person when you got history with the person and
- 48:39
you win the same click but nothing is different here than when m felt the way about me like i was saying yo this album this
- 48:44
rollout i don't get it the track list i don't i mean i don't get it and he had a huge issue with that no you said more than that
- 48:50
though your tone was definitely all over the place yes nobody's policing my tone in 2021. well that was because
- 48:57
you [ __ ] have a problem with my tongue i don't give a [ __ ] this is you don't
- 49:04
yeah but even then like the tone police i take a little issue with that but i totally understand where emma's coming
- 49:10
from and why he felt the way but i get snoop too but from a selfish consumer standpoint
- 49:16
this ain't the beef none of us want to see no we don't like y'all now i was in the
- 49:21
chitty chatty house and there were rumblings of why this may be occurred
- 49:27
and i'll say it only because daz dillinger said it shout out to the og he was saying that uh
- 49:34
one of the lines one of the one of the snoop lines that m used in one of m's records i don't
- 49:39
remember what records they were he had to clear and snoop cleared it
- 49:44
y'all go ahead his home team y'all don't even worry about it y'all go ahead and use it but then when it came time to return the favor and snoop was looking for a verse
- 49:51
from m he had a hard time getting one he was told no now that's always tricky
- 49:57
because you don't know if the request actually made it to the artist like you don't know you can't really
- 50:04
prove if the artist is saying no i'm not rhyming with you but if i'm snoop i don't give a [ __ ] where it come
- 50:09
from i find it hard to believe that a snoop request wouldn't make its way to m directly yeah you're pretty sure they
- 50:15
have got right if you're playing rosenberg and you are protecting eminem and you don't want this to get to eminem it
- 50:21
cannot get to mnm maybe there's a world where that exists that's true and if i'm snoop i don't care what happened there all i know is i
- 50:27
didn't get my inverse yeah so i could see that if that stuff is true
- 50:33
that makes this story make a lot more sense than two [ __ ] from the same camp that are just going through this
- 50:39
i don't see that like 50 can squash this drake can squash this somebody can squash this i don't think that snoop's
- 50:45
request never made it to him oh no no i don't know that wouldn't be a good reason why this
- 50:51
would happen don't say that don't don't don't just dismiss be so dismissive of that good cop bad cop is a thing in the industry absolutely
- 50:58
foreign if that's the thing you can't dismiss it that could be the plan you good cop i mean uh uh you bad cop i'm good cop
- 51:05
the verse never got to me to request never gonna that i think that holds true for most artists
- 51:11
but somebody directly associated that close to m dre yeah and it
- 51:20
and it snoop i don't see that he probably didn't double text true it is snoop
- 51:26
true so i could see him making a request however he made it mm-hmm it not being followed up on and
- 51:32
it's just falling by the wayside and snoop never get in his verse that does happen sometimes it happens all the time yeah i totally
- 51:37
understand that yeah but in that optic this story makes it a lot i shouldn't have to hit you twice
- 51:43
i'm me and i shouldn't have to fam i'm snoop i'm asking for a verse that should be the end of it yeah
- 51:48
yeah give me my verse true i don't care if that's through paul that that's true tracy whoever is over there shady yeah i
- 51:54
want my verse yeah that's it and that's a reason i get it i get it yeah that's very reasonable
- 52:00
still it's still this is not the beast that i want to see
- 52:06
it's the same way it's family you can speak about me in a better tone so i totally understand if you have a
- 52:13
problem with my tone man call my phone and tell me you have a problem with my tone doing an interview where you publicly
- 52:20
say you have a problem with the tone it just comes off a way is all i'm saying i'm not saying he can't have a
- 52:26
problem with the tone but in 2021 the [ __ ] tone police is what we're doing
- 52:31
yes i'm in no way ever been the person that's like if you do something in public to me
- 52:36
make sure the apology's public i've never lived that way but i do understand people do live that way make sure the apology is as loud as the
- 52:43
offense publicly i get it this is the last beef that i
- 52:48
want to see same or not i don't want to see the two of them hey speaking of speaking of beef again the same camp like i don't ever
- 52:54
want to see m and snoop beef speaking of beefs that i don't necessarily want to hear
- 53:00
from i'm hearing that there's supposedly something going on between uh
- 53:05
freddie gibbs and ll cool j really what what that's the most
- 53:10
random [ __ ] i did see uh freddie posting uh q-tip in l.l roon studio
- 53:17
and it was a alternative sounding beat which is which is normal in a q-tip
- 53:22
session and i saw gibbs making like just laughing at crying emojis or some [ __ ] like that
- 53:28
and ll is not he's not really the most cool tempered guy when it comes to someone sending the barb his way
- 53:34
no historically this pod we have done a thorough break this is
- 53:42
uh we've done a thorough breakdown on benzino's disattempts and uh
- 53:49
mad skills this year and rabbi that's how we're starting the year i'm just pointing it out to you guys
- 53:55
it's a weird time it's a weird time having beef with ll in 2021 oh yeah come on man i know that y'all think
- 54:01
that's weird i'm here to challenge y'all all year i know it's weird but who do you got
- 54:16
no not this year as far as fighting no bars not this year you won't do it to me oh no
- 54:22
as far as what i'm going freddie i'm going i'm going gibbs man in 2021 i'm going freddie i'm going out
- 54:28
i'm gonna go out y'all gonna take your sorry battle tested and there's a million times in my
- 54:35
career in my life where i was
- 54:51
come on hey you told my wreck i'm not talking about nah [ __ ] i'm talking about everything
- 54:56
yeah this ain't a verse it is it is a versus this [ __ ] is crazy what do you think you're trying to make a freddy gribs in l versus it is a
- 55:02
versus ain't no [ __ ] no now it's now it's
- 55:14
hey i don't want to hear nothing about alfredo when this comes on buddy
- 55:26
hey you make every other sins ll was saying that to his lady make
- 55:33
you mm-hmm me sick ladies love that would be actually a funny battle if
- 55:39
it were to happen because gibbs is going to be jokes jim is going to have jokes i hate to break it to y'all
- 55:45
freddie gibbs is losing to hello cool j if they are to make rap verses about each other back and forth i think i agree i think i agree i know
- 55:53
i know in 2021 how old is that no man i don't give a [ __ ] it matters it
- 55:58
battles no no it matters i don't care it matters it matters it definitely matters
- 56:03
see that's that it reminds me of the krs one verse uh come on l it'll be 53 next week man come
- 56:10
on with a dub come on man we're not doing that we're not
- 56:29
that any [ __ ] that's still got the voicemail set up like that you're not beating he calling back now scared to death
- 56:34
scared the death for the l oh hello what's the word freddie gibbs this is joe budden from the joe budden podcast
- 56:41
happy new year to you sir man happy new year man i heard i heard the strangest thing the other day
- 56:47
what's that i heard that you and ll had a little back and forth brewing me and
- 56:52
ella like ll cool j yeah [ __ ] way that's what i heard no way me and ll do
- 57:00
not have beats man how can i have beef with hillary man he's one of the greatest of all time founders of hip-hop how can i have beef
- 57:06
with ll food i'm just telling you what i heard in the streets
- 57:11
so you're telling me that's not accurate that's definitely not accurate no see there you go all right so you
- 57:17
[ __ ] there you go i saw some i mean you know i said some funny stuff about ll online you know
- 57:23
and now and now and now you're afraid no not never sounds like yourself sound like a
- 57:30
joke afraid of what the bars yes [ __ ] and if you don't get this dvd [ __ ] out
- 57:37
of here man i ain't worried about no bars from ll cool today man freddie gibbs the whole the whole world is closed and you found somewhere to cop
- 57:44
please i love ll cool j man but i'm definitely not worried about no bars from l.a
- 57:49
well hypothetically mr freddie gibbs if there happened to be an exchange of
- 57:55
bars between you who do you think would get the better of the other i say ll uh no
- 58:04
i mean you think wrong mr budden i mean you know maybe if this was you know i don't know 90
- 58:10
something or 80 something you know ll is you know that's that's jack the ripper i respect ll he's the best
- 58:15
one of the best battle rappers me too you know what i mean i never heard you man i never heard you battle nobody
- 58:21
though mr gibbs because don't nobody because you know why because don't nobody want it with me that's why
- 58:26
i see where he goes they know don't play like that hey until you uh quote unquote nice nice
- 58:33
rappers get involved in some beef i can't just assume how y'all would perform
- 58:39
perform in beef ll has done it too many times he did it to canada what do you think
- 58:44
you're gonna do to you honestly tell true i'm not worried about it bro i don't brought bars to rappers before i'm not
- 58:49
worried about it i worry about giving people a couple bars that's easy that's easy call me man i'll help you
- 58:54
out without freaking out i'll help you out man we get rid of this [ __ ] man it's old [ __ ]
- 59:00
yeah but i i don't need no help for ll cool j man i hope he got i think you know he posted some bars the
- 59:05
other day i don't think to you but but i reposted them and it was just funny you know what i mean but i don't think it was to me yeah i just fought it
- 59:11
you know yeah it's gonna be funny until he reply
- 59:27
freddie gives out oh man that's one of he'd my favorite some bars i might rap
- 59:32
on that beat man all right so we're all blowing this out of proportion there's nothing really
- 59:37
brutal between you can't beef without not at
- 59:44
is a good thing but i'm not all about it though no no no no no but it's still good for you [ __ ] why is it good for me you think ll want
- 59:53
this smoke yes what i'm telling how many how many different ways i got to say yes i think he'll hell would welcome the
- 1:00:01
smoke from freddy gibbs and i think yeah i think he thinks he would be it would be a sleepwalker historically ll
- 1:00:06
has wanted to smoke with everybody who the [ __ ] are you that's why that's what i like about ll man that's that's
- 1:00:12
why he's one of my favorite rappers because he wants to smoke and you know what i mean he raised a generation of [ __ ] that want the smoke like me and i want this
- 1:00:18
boat too [ __ ] this nigga's media train man i can't never trip i can't never trip freddie up [ __ ] ain't falling
- 1:00:23
come on man hey friends oh smoke too what you did what you did for the new year fred oh man i just chilled with my kids man
- 1:00:29
brought in the new year man you know what i'm saying that's all dog i ain't do much i just chill man you know i just wanted to make it into 2021 and get and
- 1:00:35
go get the grammy you know there you go i like that look at you grammy nominated wanting awards from the
- 1:00:41
colonizers shut up they just they just they just postponed
- 1:00:46
the grammys so you know they did yeah yeah they just postponed it i think it's gonna be in march now
- 1:00:51
yeah you oh [ __ ] you think you're gonna win i i think i got strong possibility to win yeah
- 1:00:58
great album for sure it's great i think i had to i think i had the best rap album this year so yeah you know if you know i'm glad you know i
- 1:01:05
already won they nominated me so you know i'm good but if i think i got a strong chance to win yeah
- 1:01:11
i ain't here no freddie gives diss track to all the people that said your album shouldn't have been the best album i ain't hear none of that neither
- 1:01:17
i ain't i ain't hear nobody say that to me he's listening you hear nothing
- 1:01:33
gonna have to deal with my cultural critiques this year i'm done being nice to y'all when y'all trash i'm saying be nice to these [ __ ] man yeah hey man
- 1:01:40
if i didn't deserve to be there i'll say you know i shouldn't be there you know what i mean but you know i really think i deserve to be there this year so you
- 1:01:45
know i do agree i know absolutely i do too honestly and i think and i respect your opinion i think if you thought that i
- 1:01:51
didn't you'd be like nah you know what i mean oh i would tell you yeah i know you you wouldn't know if i came with some
- 1:01:57
commercial stuff to get a grammy and i did all the technical industry stuff to get nominated you wouldn't know if i did
- 1:02:02
that but i didn't do any of that so you know i mean that's why you know i think my nomination is respectable
- 1:02:08
what's your strategy to get money in 2021 are you coming right back with music um i'm definitely coming you know with
- 1:02:15
music you know at all times but uh you know i mean the money been good you know i mean i you know we ain't got no show money but
- 1:02:20
you know other than that i think you know everything's been moving in a positive direction musically so yeah i'm definitely gonna
- 1:02:26
come back with some music i did a movie in 2020 so you know i might be doing more of that you know i mean i try to
- 1:02:32
lead role in a movie so you know that's that movie money better than rap money so you know i might be doing that a lot more
- 1:02:38
yo see man i told parks and mall that your money was good freddie gibbs they kept talking about jeezy had it
- 1:02:44
you know get the [ __ ] out of here first of all i'll never
- 1:02:58
up here too we love you too man i'm joking around joking around listen man i'm glad that you had a good a good new year i hope that you win the award as
- 1:03:04
well uh yeah great album friend of the show we love you man we hope to hear some more music soon
- 1:03:10
man thank y'all for having me man album of the year man both of them you are you a grammy voter vote for me please not voting for that [ __ ]
- 1:03:20
we love you [ __ ] i love bro what all right so already i love when this
- 1:03:26
happens shout out to pretty good by the way of course uh i love when this happens where one of the members of the pod
- 1:03:33
stands firmly in a few different positions on a few different cultural takes
- 1:03:40
and then at some point they have to look in the mirror and make a decision between the choices
- 1:03:47
that they have made in this parting life and here we are first part of the year
- 1:03:53
and god has put maul in that very position maul is an adamant
- 1:04:00
the baby fan that's true the baby supporter that's true from early not just when not just when
- 1:04:06
the song started hidden from from back back in the days
- 1:04:11
maul is also adamant in his tory lanez position which is if you shoot a black woman
- 1:04:19
if you shoo you shot it i said if i said if remember the young boys if you shoot a
- 1:04:26
black woman you are to be banished and exiled forever and i don't want to hear from you or see from you ever again
- 1:04:32
in hip-hop correct and now as we are recording word is breaking that there's
- 1:04:37
a video being released with tory lanez and the baby this is from tory lanez's instagram
- 1:04:43
he added the baby and it says song plus visuals on the way hashtag 2021 umbrella drop
- 1:04:50
umbrella in the comments if you are ready for this quite naturally uh they have received
- 1:04:55
backlash from the internet namely the baby because wow how could you work with this guy
- 1:05:01
if he shot a black woman before we get all of the information i'm assuming that's what it is i'm recording so i'm
- 1:05:06
not seeing what they're saying but i wanted to ask you because that's your guy yeah [ __ ] with the baby exactly what is your
- 1:05:14
what is you oh not just just the black woman but a black woman that from what we've seen he's worked closely
- 1:05:20
with in the past oh the baby as well that's true you're right about that rory i didn't
- 1:05:27
even think about it hand in hand of two years ago in 2019 they kind of
- 1:05:33
came up together and worked together perform together videos together like they was the 2019 combo
- 1:05:41
yeah yeah um again you know if the alleged
- 1:05:48
you know story is true then you know how i feel about it um but with that being said i can't
- 1:05:54
expect everybody to stand on the same things that i stand on or walk the way that i walk so you know
- 1:06:01
this is music the music business i mean and i guess that's the way the baby is approaching it but he's
- 1:06:07
receiving backlash because obviously people feel like he shouldn't align himself with somebody
- 1:06:12
that's facing these charges or these allegations i can understand that as well um and then two a lot of people still haven't
- 1:06:19
forgot about the the babies are incident with a woman in the club where he uh
- 1:06:24
he hit a woman in the club and dealt with something about i don't know if that ever went to court
- 1:06:29
or anything like that but he was in a little bit of a situation where he had struck a female in the club and
- 1:06:34
allegedly because some people say when he looked at the bid he didn't actually touch her well alleged i'm just saying that whole
- 1:06:40
thing was a debacle it was a thing so that might be some of that too like people feel like yo listen we kind of overlooked that a little bit but now
- 1:06:47
you're aligning yourself with somebody that's still facing these allegations and these charges it just looks a certain way
- 1:06:52
so people naturally will respond and feel a certain way but either way this is the music business so this change it doesn't change your
- 1:06:59
view of the baby at all or how you no no no i'm joe i'm past i'm past feeling like you know these
- 1:07:07
artists and these dudes need to walk the way that i walk and have the morals and integrity that i have i don't put that on anybody
- 1:07:13
i can only be me i can only do what i do and and move the way that i move this is the music business
- 1:07:18
the baby obviously saw this as an opportunity to make music to sell music and um you know if that's what he chose
- 1:07:24
to do then who am i you know he's done he's he's been successful you know i mean so i'm i'm nobody to tell him how
- 1:07:30
to move in his his career so you know i i can't listen to it but
- 1:07:36
because he i could maybe try to understand not cosine but understand if
- 1:07:41
a up-and-coming artist or an artist that is in need of a look or in need of the quote-unquote
- 1:07:48
attention to do this but when you're already one of the biggest rappers in the world
- 1:07:55
to then go with one of the more hated rappers ever at the moment see i wonder why you would
- 1:08:01
understand i'm trying to make it differently that way like it's the music business i never get
- 1:08:07
that like y'all would understand it better if it's someone that needed a look got that part but now that it's someone
- 1:08:13
who didn't need the look at all why can't your brain still seem to make sense of it somehow like all
- 1:08:18
right he don't need to look so what what does that tell you about why he did it that's kind of my question that i'm trying to figure
- 1:08:25
out yeah to that point you don't need the look and mind you i'd be more judgy of the
- 1:08:32
people that do [ __ ] for the look but this is still what if his position is listen i saw mellie recently i was
- 1:08:38
asking hey i wonder what's going on with mellie in regards to her being signed to the label how's she doing it seemed fine i didn't speak to
- 1:08:44
her but i'm just saying from watching troy did some [ __ ] for her for her birthday they seemed real happy
- 1:08:49
she defended uh his actions when they tried to crucify her on the internet like she
- 1:08:55
defended his actions she defended her affiliations with him oh okay not him shooting someone but just
- 1:09:01
basically repping for his innocence okay and and in turn repping for why she
- 1:09:06
still [ __ ] with him so what i'm saying is yeah the baby don't need no look so
- 1:09:11
why don't we just assume that he's on the side of people that that is saying what millie is saying i'm i'm [ __ ] with tori until i'm not and so
- 1:09:18
yeah until it is proven that he has done this beyond a reasonable doubt then i'll banish him but until then i'm
- 1:09:23
rocking with him so meg responds and says that [ __ ] was old and not clear crybaby video dropping
- 1:09:32
soon i don't know what that means but okay i guess she's saying that that song and video is old and
- 1:09:40
not cleared from the baby and if she's saying that for a fact oh i
- 1:09:47
would assume that somebody from meg's team reached out to the baby so that wasn't the baby that posted that
- 1:09:52
no that was tori the baby didn't post anything about that video oh that was tori that posted that oh
- 1:10:00
okay so
- 1:10:10
no i mean only because in just watching the baby over the past few years i just kind of have a feeling
- 1:10:17
the type of dude he is you know what i'm saying so again i'm not i'm not judging him if he
- 1:10:22
wanted to do this and this is something and you know it's the music business i understand it you know people people make their moves
- 1:10:27
they do what they do but it would just it just would have me looking at him just a little like oh
- 1:10:33
okay you know you know what kills me it kills me how we still look for integrity and artists today i'll be honest with you and people or
- 1:10:39
people it's not even about the artist it's just in people i look for integrity i don't give a [ __ ] what you do for a living you just have some integrity
- 1:10:44
artists even less well that goes back to what i said about our culture being so hypocritical
- 1:10:50
it all ties into that like it's a lot of things that we'll do like this whole uh pop hunter is that the the
- 1:10:56
artist's name like people wanting to cancel him because he snitched when he was 14 and he saw his best friend get killed or
- 1:11:02
something like that i was reading and now that you know uh little uzi is saying he wants to take him off the record he doesn't want to be on
- 1:11:09
a record with him but then you're because i snitched when i was 13. i've been yeah i've been catching a little
- 1:11:15
but this is but this is but this is the but this is why it's hypocritical hypocritical because we know grown men
- 1:11:20
in this industry that have snitched and we still download download their music and we still go to
- 1:11:25
their shows and we still support them so it's like at 14 you're going to crucify somebody i'm the first one to tell people that i
- 1:11:32
have outgrown oh hey hey hey hey hey hello whoa look at freddie gibbs scare
- 1:11:39
somewhere um i'm the first one to say that i have maybe
- 1:11:44
outgrown some of the stigmas attached to hip-hop never hip-hop because i'll just never do
- 1:11:50
that but some of the [ __ ] that just comes along with being a rapper some of the stereotypes just the stupid [ __ ] we supposed to
- 1:11:55
think because we rappers or rap fans no i'm not doing that but it's not again i'm not going to just rap i'm just talking about
- 1:12:01
in general just as a person have some integrity have some morals
- 1:12:06
like that's all i'm talking i don't care what you do for a living know what your career or what your talent is just have some integrity with with whatever
- 1:12:13
you do and that's the problem with hip-hop it's like it's real hypocritical they want you to have integrity and morals when
- 1:12:18
it's applied it applies to them right you know what i'm saying but not like in general or until something comes out yeah and
- 1:12:24
it's like i just can't i can't subscribe to that man which is why i just listen to music and you know i i don't really put too
- 1:12:30
much stock into the artist anymore if it's good music i [ __ ] with it i listen to it but i'm not really looking for any of these
- 1:12:36
artists to to kind of you know hold their integrity and their morals to a higher standard i'm not doing that anymore
- 1:12:42
well because a lot of information gets passed down in ways it's hard to even know if this
- 1:12:47
kid i don't even know who the kid you're talking about pop was his name pop hana pop han i don't even know who that is yeah but we're getting that information
- 1:12:54
about him snitching when he was 14 mad hands down it's not secondhand it's not third hand it's like a millionth hand
- 1:12:59
how am i supposed to hold and i've never listened to him but how am i supposed to hold him accountable a for something he did when
- 1:13:05
he was 14 b something that may not have been snitching i don't really know
- 1:13:10
what the situation was so i'm not gonna you know go too deep on that but if you saw his man get killed and told
- 1:13:16
who killed his man right that's not really snitching no when you're 14 no hip-hop was calling
- 1:13:21
they were they were not all of hip-hop but a small section of hip-hop was trying to call me a snitch um
- 1:13:28
because it was a picture came out where i was talking to police after dude tried to shoot me in the head
- 1:13:33
and i was like wait uh-huh i still didn't snitch right now that's just gonna take a stand
- 1:13:40
you're gonna the cops are gonna question you if somebody tried to shoot if somebody robbed you or somebody shot
- 1:13:45
you like but i'm just going to be interrogated by the police i'm just speaking out a subpoena i'm just writing how fickle hip-hop could be
- 1:13:51
man like they'll see a picture and say oh no that's that's stupid no that's that's that's stupid [ __ ] we're
- 1:13:57
not entertaining that yeah but this is funny that meg posted this
- 1:14:02
because i don't really i don't know why i would respond and again i'm not you know meg is free
- 1:14:08
to do whatever she wants but i'm saying why like y'all know this has been like an ongoing song i'm
- 1:14:14
not even starting my 2021 talk about this [ __ ] but like these [ __ ] just been replying to each other inadvertently for mad
- 1:14:21
long yeah that's all i mean if you were to victimize and let the [ __ ] play out in court
- 1:14:26
huh she's replying on the baby's behalf no saying hey no he's not doing a video with i don't
- 1:14:32
care why she's replying rory i don't care i don't care why she's replying well i'm on the side of not replying
- 1:14:39
but yeah man she's replying for his behalf because the baby probably
- 1:14:44
wouldn't reply to that [ __ ] you don't reply to [ __ ] oh no the baby wouldn't require that the baby wouldn't be saying none of this
- 1:14:50
[ __ ] apply to it so i think meg is replying on his behalf
- 1:14:55
man everybody do what's best for them i get it i guess i guess it's nasty to me and i hope they
- 1:15:02
rectify this soon uh through the proper channels i'll say that yeah but that looks away
- 1:15:09
on his part because she has a video out with the baby now and obviously a video coming soon and then he would post
- 1:15:15
that he has a a song and video with him dropping soon it just it's just it just seems a little
- 1:15:22
it's just weird it's all you're not asking me to have courtesy for someone who i have the same feature as
- 1:15:28
who i'm who i have a beef with are you no i'm but there's been things before this though
- 1:15:34
like certain likes on comments about the whole situation certain certain replies to people saying
- 1:15:39
things about the situation tori he's he's been doing a lot of little low [ __ ] that you have to catch
- 1:15:44
but he's been he's been doing that you've been vocal he been vocal and all right true coming to light soon all your [ __ ] about to be wrong i told
- 1:15:51
y'all it's about to be lit yeah and then what y'all gonna say he's been kind of vocal in that yeah he has
- 1:15:56
um but you know he must know something he must have spoke to his lawyer
- 1:16:02
that's good hey that's good when you speak to your lawyer and they get you to feeling good about some [ __ ] oh man that's always a good feeling shout out
- 1:16:08
to them that's a little scary huh or that can be scary and detrimental when your lawyer's lying to you
- 1:16:15
it's not all good yeah when you're lord i just need you to pay me your lawyer has nothing to say and you know what you're paying them per email
- 1:16:22
you guys talking about method man huh oh you didn't watch power no but i'll be honest what from what i'm
- 1:16:29
saying out there they're gonna make me go back and look at power and i'm gonna i'm gonna be so angry if i don't like it
- 1:16:35
you're not gonna like it but it's kind of good in a way then why am i watching this why are they making me watch i'm watching that [ __ ] why are they telling
- 1:16:41
me that this power finale was one of the better finales in power history
- 1:16:51
yeah i'm cool why are they trying to make it sound like my 40 year old self is going to enjoy
- 1:16:57
the story of tariq yeah no i'm cool i'm cool it's more than just now they want me to go watch the
- 1:17:03
upbringing of kanan no
- 1:17:09
you're not [ __ ] with that and listen y'all know how i feel about 50 in his shows i support everything he does i really
- 1:17:17
love he had a great year i love him in this tv space hey for life was one of the first shows
- 1:17:22
to come back from the little break it was one of the first ones to get right back to it's still fire
- 1:17:27
i can't wait to binge it it's still fire so i mean i support 50 what he does i'm just not relating to these new
- 1:17:34
stories i've said that before so i'm not beating a dead horse but the public y'all are making me say you know what maybe i'm wrong
- 1:17:40
i'll go back and watch the finale i've been enjoying it it's not that's super high quality tv sit down
- 1:17:46
they're calling it this is fourth and ten you're calling it a time out [ __ ] no he's correct these [ __ ] get razors
- 1:17:52
and now they want to stand up and say time out and [ __ ] power talk is not that important did your raids go through
- 1:18:00
both of them they went through already they hit they hit yeah man
- 1:18:05
good evening hi there how are you doing dr falchi dr fouch how
- 1:18:10
are you doing how are you i'm good how are you guys good good good we're looking for you to tell us how we are is what we're doing
- 1:18:19
you ask me i'll give you the information i can good that sounds good you're gonna have a nice fun loving little
- 1:18:26
segment here we're probably a little different from some of the press you've done so just
- 1:18:31
bear with us okay i'm with you all the way i love it i love it your people told us
- 1:18:36
they told me you were with us i like that all right so we're live we're good dr fauci are you good as well
- 1:18:42
i'm good all right so we have a really really really really special guest here uh i want to say that we're honored to
- 1:18:48
have you and your talking points have been points of contention here on this show we have
- 1:18:55
dr fauci joining us let me hit the round of applause for such a here we go there we go
- 1:19:01
for such an esteemed gentleman dr fauci and our coach we do something called gunshots we don't want you to be scared
- 1:19:06
if you have gunshots yeah that just means that we salute you let's give him a gun
- 1:19:14
dr falchi welcome to the joe budden podcast how you doing i'm well thank you uh listen man
- 1:19:22
let's let's get let's get right into it doc
- 1:19:27
it seems right it seems that you're on a press run
- 1:19:33
are you on a press run and when is your album coming out yeah you've been on a press run for a
- 1:19:40
good year yeah it's been about a year it's it's uh it's been a very unusual year
- 1:19:47
this is a historic terrible outbreak that we've been subjected to
- 1:19:54
and my main job is to develop the vaccines and the drugs and the things for the treatment of prevention
- 1:20:02
as well as being what i'm doing with you trying to spread the word uh about how people can keep safe and
- 1:20:09
particularly when we get a better accessibility of vaccines that everybody should be taking
- 1:20:16
a vaccine so that's what i do well that's where that's where my line of questioning
- 1:20:22
stems from doc because if you're here with us and boy am i happy that you're here with us
- 1:20:27
to me a press run signifies a message needing to be heard and for such an urgent message like this
- 1:20:34
why wouldn't a ticker just come across our screen no matter what we were watching on television why wouldn't something just
- 1:20:40
come across our phone like why is this sole responsibility seemingly on your shoulders
- 1:20:47
well you know it it isn't there are a number of other people that are out there i do it a lot because i i you know i i feel i can communicate
- 1:20:54
well at multiple levels with multiple levels of of people you know the
- 1:21:00
uh school kids adults um people who are working in white
- 1:21:06
collar blue collar whatever because that's my background that i can communicate well and that's the reason
- 1:21:13
why i do it um and it it works i mean i think if you've been straight with
- 1:21:19
people be open and honest and talk straight language with them they'll hear what you have to say
- 1:21:24
and understand and i think that is important as some of the science that we do is to
- 1:21:29
get people to understand why it's important to do things like protecting yourself from infection
- 1:21:36
your family and your community yeah but are we going about it this way because
- 1:21:41
the government's idea of what's better for the american people is different
- 1:21:47
from what the actual health board and the health people think is good for the american people
- 1:21:53
no if what you're talking about is more public service announcements you know i i think that you got a good
- 1:22:00
point there there probably should be more of that the cdc does some of that um i think we always
- 1:22:07
need to be out there more and that's the reason why i put the extra effort into being
- 1:22:13
out there with the media because i think it's really important to get the message to the american public well how much were you how much were you
- 1:22:20
either silenced or suppressed with delivering some of that information last year especially
- 1:22:27
with the election happening you know not really very much at all it's it's a very interesting
- 1:22:33
thing with regard to getting out on the press sometimes you're out there a lot and there's no
- 1:22:39
problem other times you know there's an inhibition for doing it it hasn't really
- 1:22:45
been consistent one of the things that's important to understand
- 1:22:51
is that since i represent the government because i work at an
- 1:22:57
organization the nih which is part of the federal government that when i get asked to go
- 1:23:03
on things like sunday shows or major network in cable in the evening
- 1:23:10
it's important to get cleared by the communications people in the white house sometimes you get
- 1:23:18
cleared with no problem and sometimes you don't it's really in many respects unpredictable that's the
- 1:23:23
reason why there are flashes where you might see me on tv a lot and then all of a sudden you don't see
- 1:23:29
me for a while that's something that's not in my control yeah but when you say when you speak to
- 1:23:34
things that aren't in control when you mention white house uh a couple of words that comes to mind come to mind for me is uh
- 1:23:41
capitalism and consumerism how much of that plays a part in this no
- 1:23:48
tell the truth tell true no i'm telling you the truth i mean uh when i'm out here i think you
- 1:23:54
can bet the farm that it's going to be the truth and i'm going to tell you what really is going on
- 1:24:00
i have never ever uh used any political issues to prevent me
- 1:24:08
from telling the truth to the american public and i've been doing this now for almost 40 years whether it was
- 1:24:14
back in the days of hiv aids in the 80s when i first started doing it to
- 1:24:20
influenza to ebola to zika the one thing you can count on
- 1:24:26
is that you asked me a question i'm going to give you an honest answer okay awesome so honestly tell me how you
- 1:24:33
felt when trump was telling the american people that we should drink bleach and that heat would effectively get rid of this well i
- 1:24:41
wasn't there when he said it but i certainly think that that was not a good thing because there were so many people
- 1:24:47
there who would have been interpreted that and perhaps have hurt themselves and that's the reason why
- 1:24:52
the cdc and the fda and everybody else and myself included literally the next day said
- 1:24:59
hey that's something you should not be doing don't interpret those words to think
- 1:25:04
that that's something you should be doing but doc the those actions
- 1:25:10
are what says to people like me that the health people and the government may not be aligned
- 1:25:18
well you know there were things that i think you're aware of that were said at the level of
- 1:25:25
a polit a politician um that i disagreed with openly
- 1:25:30
i mean if you go back and look at the history of this year there were sometimes things that were
- 1:25:35
said that i disagree with such as whether or not the drug hydroxychloroquine works or does it work
- 1:25:42
you know it's very clear that the scientific data indicated that it is of no benefit in
- 1:25:49
people with covid19 and there were many people not many but some that were saying
- 1:25:54
that it worked and i got up there and said that it didn't because i speak not by any political ideology everything i
- 1:26:02
say is based on scientific evidence and scientific data and the scientific data indicated that
- 1:26:10
something does not work therefore i say it doesn't work so you are not incentivized
- 1:26:15
in any other way outside of the good fortune of the american people uh in your decision making that is 100
- 1:26:23
percent true got it quick question doc you were around for uh president reagan and the aides
- 1:26:31
in the 80s when that came would you compare president reagan's dismissal of aids in the 80s to president
- 1:26:37
trump's dismissal of covet no they were really very different the issue would happen with president
- 1:26:44
reagan is that he didn't dismiss it he he did not give
- 1:26:49
it the bully pulpit of the presidency to get out there and embrace the people
- 1:26:56
who are suffering from it because at the time remember it was mostly almost all men who have sex with
- 1:27:03
men and and an injection drug users and he didn't he what what he did is that he lost an
- 1:27:10
opportunity to use the the the what we call the bully pulpit of the presidency
- 1:27:18
to give a good message he never really went out there and dismissed it he just should have put a little bit
- 1:27:24
more effort in and that's the reason why back then i had to step up
- 1:27:30
and be talking about it to the public and it's really interesting because
- 1:27:35
i was the face of the federal government and when the activists saw my face they said well he's for the
- 1:27:42
government and they started you know demonstrating against me until i brought them in and said hey
- 1:27:48
wait a minute i'm with you guys and ladies and gentlemen i feel like some of that let's figure out how we can help each
- 1:27:55
other i feel like some of that's happening now that's what happened yeah i feel like you're going through some of that now am i wrong i feel like you've been uh
- 1:28:01
villainized to some degree by certain uh you know you've been villainized you have been
- 1:28:06
how do you how do you deal with that part even well you know i focus on what my goal is
- 1:28:14
and this gets back to something you said a minute ago joe that my main and only
- 1:28:22
uh goal or domain is the health and the safety of the american public that's the only
- 1:28:29
thing i care about so all the other stuff
- 1:28:34
you know the adulation which is nice as well as the threats against my life
- 1:28:41
which are not very nice as well as people publicly criticizing me calling me a
- 1:28:48
liar calling me a fake news kind of thing no i don't like that but i don't let it
- 1:28:53
bother me because to me that's just a distraction and it i don't want it to distract
- 1:29:00
against what i really want to do is to do things like develop a vaccine which we were
- 1:29:07
successfully did now the goal is to make sure people take
- 1:29:12
that vaccine because it will be life-saving for them their families as well as for society i want to do all
- 1:29:19
that other stuff joe i don't that doesn't bother me i want to get to the vaccine but i don't want to gloss over
- 1:29:24
so you're saying the death threats and things of that nature don't really affect your psyche or paranoia at all
- 1:29:31
no personally why does it i mean i mean obviously i have to have federal agents
- 1:29:36
who protect me all the time you got the people with you yeah i know oh you got
- 1:29:41
the boys with you yeah i would feel safe too all right so we got so we got a vaccine that they say is
- 1:29:48
coming a couple of how many vaccines are coming doc well there are two that have been proven
- 1:29:53
to be very very efficacious and safe we have another one that's that just
- 1:29:59
finished the clinical trial likely we'll get a look at the data at the end of january i believe though you
- 1:30:05
never want to get ahead of yourself and predict something until you actually see the data
- 1:30:11
but another company is going to be coming online with with doses probably in february and then there are
- 1:30:17
two other companies that are in trial right now totally we're supporting directly
- 1:30:24
and indirectly six vaccine candidates five of them have either completed
- 1:30:31
clinical trial or are ending or in the process of ending the clinical trial so
- 1:30:37
within a period of time we're going to have at least five candidates that can be ready to go okay are anyone are any one of these
- 1:30:45
vaccines more recommended than the rest no well i tell you why we only have data
- 1:30:53
on two of them joe that means that we only can pass judgment on two of them
- 1:30:58
and interestingly the two of them the one from modern a company and the
- 1:31:03
one from the fisa company they're almost identical they are both 94 to 95
- 1:31:11
efficacious which is really huge that is a really really good vaccine
- 1:31:17
that's 94 to 95 percent effective is are there are will this be
- 1:31:23
administered differently contingent upon age no uh it's the prime followed by a boost
- 1:31:30
when you get the moderna product you get an injection 28 days later you get a boost when you
- 1:31:36
do the fisa you get injected 21 days later you get a boost doesn't matter how old you are we
- 1:31:43
haven't proven yet that it's safe and effective in children but that study will be done in the next
- 1:31:50
couple of months don't you think that's important no it's very important and the reason we delay
- 1:31:55
is that children are vulnerable joe and you want to make sure that you're dealing with a product
- 1:32:01
that's really safe and really effective in healthy adults before you subject a child to it that
- 1:32:09
makes sense quick question doc how come we never uh shut down the airlines since this covert is so airborne and
- 1:32:16
it's so contagious and people you know they space us out before you get on the plane you have to stay so many feet apart
- 1:32:21
but then once you get on the flight you use somebody sitting right behind you that's not six feet away i've been a lot of traveling doc i don't know if you've
- 1:32:27
been in the airport i've been all over the place no i know that i haven't traveled in almost a year
- 1:32:32
because of the fact that just the question you asked before i've been working you know literally 18 hours a day since january
- 1:32:38
with no days off i don't have time to get on a plane but you're right there is danger anywhere when there's
- 1:32:44
people who are infected but you know what they have on planes that the circulation and the filtering
- 1:32:50
of the air is pretty good so there really have not been a lot of infections transmitted on
- 1:32:57
planes that you can definitively document so even though intuitively
- 1:33:03
you would think it's the worst place to be because you're cooped up in a closed place for an hour two hours
- 1:33:10
three hours in particularly short flights there really has not been
- 1:33:15
a lot of infection that's transmitted on the plane so even though we kind of knee-jerk think that that's a bad place
- 1:33:22
to be in fact in reality it's not been bad what do you say
- 1:33:27
doc to the person that caught covid maybe was asymptomatic or didn't have
- 1:33:33
the roughest of times on it uh why would that person be inclined to take this vaccine
- 1:33:39
well that's a great question and the reason is we do not know how long the protection that's afforded
- 1:33:47
by someone who's been exposed and infected how long that lasts and the reason is
- 1:33:53
there are similar viruses like coronaviruses that are maybe 15 to 30 percent of all
- 1:34:00
the common colds that you and i and everybody else gets that gets recurrence so you can get reinfected
- 1:34:07
with the same virus i'm not gonna let you do that i'm not gonna let you i'm not gonna let you i'm not gonna let you speak to the
- 1:34:13
american people's fear what i'm saying doc is for the person that don't have any fear
- 1:34:19
for the person that got it and is totally fine with the effects that it had on them specifically and saying hey if i
- 1:34:26
get it again i'm cool what do you say to that person not guaranteed joe you know guaranteed to be
- 1:34:31
cool got it
- 1:34:38
hey hey you're not gonna be cool i got it now i understand what you're
- 1:34:43
saying what do you say then what do you say to black and brown women
- 1:34:50
who are who die at uh hospitals disproportionately those numbers are different what do you say to them
- 1:34:56
uh about trusting some of the words from uh our health officials yeah
- 1:35:03
of course you understand why what i'm saying is of course you understand why some people are skeptical i know about any word
- 1:35:10
from health officials or the government so there's some reluctancy there what do
- 1:35:16
you say reluctance is understandable it's understandable because if you look at the history of how black
- 1:35:24
and brown people have been treated by the federal government in medical situations dating all the way back
- 1:35:30
to the tuskegee the shameful tuskegee uh experiments and even others that have
- 1:35:36
occurred since then there's a reason to be skeptical but what we're saying
- 1:35:42
is that safeguards have been put in place since then that would never allow that
- 1:35:48
to happen again and black and brown people who suffered disproportionately
- 1:35:54
from covert 19 is a reflection of so many things that's wrong with society
- 1:36:00
particularly the underlying comorbidities that black and brown people have that is
- 1:36:07
not a racial issue it's an issue that is called the social determinants of health
- 1:36:14
from the time you're born the lack of accessibility to good diets the
- 1:36:20
lack of accessibility of an economic status that will allow you to take care of your health
- 1:36:26
so as a group with exceptions obviously there's more hypertension there's more
- 1:36:32
diabetes there's more obesity there's more heart disease in black and brown people than there are
- 1:36:38
in the general population well i'm going to channel well and after you say all that
- 1:36:44
we also happen to be last on the totem pole in america so at some point racism would have to
- 1:36:50
come up in conversations of health care right because when you talk about people from impoverished neighborhoods
- 1:36:56
or people that don't have the best health care situation health insurance whatever aren't won't we be last in line to get
- 1:37:01
the good stuff no not at all not at all you're not going to be last in line i got to sleep outside the hospital what
- 1:37:07
do we have to do no all you got to do is then when the vaccine becomes available go up and say i want to shout a vaccine and you'll get
- 1:37:14
it that's simple we need to wrap up sorry right well
- 1:37:20
listen do you guys have any last words for us um how how much longer i have one if i can go ahead how much longer do you
- 1:37:27
see us uh particularly new york city with the indoor dining because i know that the indoor dining infection rate was very
- 1:37:33
low maybe one percent and we had to shut down indoor dining again so how long do you see before
- 1:37:40
that is something that we completely move past and get rid of the the acceleration of cases in new
- 1:37:46
york are very troublesome and in california i think you're going to have to see a turnaround of the of the pest positivity to get
- 1:37:53
down much lower before they do that so i mean it's understandable what i'd like to see
- 1:37:59
is that when you tell restaurants they need to shut down a bars that the federal government gives more
- 1:38:05
money and support to the people who own those establishments so they don't go out of business
- 1:38:10
just keep them over until things get better and they can open up again my final question and a half dr fauci
- 1:38:18
i don't know if sex increases the probability of catching this uh coronavirus
- 1:38:25
but what do you say to the people that have lost uh that have lost courtships and
- 1:38:32
romantic relationships because we're unable to take these women outside so they can instagram things
- 1:38:39
like tell me how i explain to a woman that is cutting me off from sexual
- 1:38:45
activity that hey i'm protecting us right yeah i think just what you said the most important
- 1:38:51
thing right now is helping each other save each other's lives things that are pleasurable for us have
- 1:38:58
to be put on hold sometimes but we're going through a historic affront to the health of this world
- 1:39:05
including the united states we've just got to pull together and realize that sacrifices are being made at every
- 1:39:12
single level including personal relationships because of that let's get through it together get this
- 1:39:18
thing behind us and then get back to a normal life that's not gonna work on my instagram
- 1:39:23
girls but i appreciate it dr fauci i want to thank you for taking the time hi but hey just just out of curiosity
- 1:39:29
how long would it take to distribute this thing throughout throughout the country that's my final question for you what the vaccine yes
- 1:39:35
sir you know i think if we put the full court press on it we can get it vaccinated uh 85
- 1:39:40
percent of the people by the end of the summer so there's a chance we can go outside this year yeah there is a chance that we
- 1:39:46
can be back to normal not completely of course of course but approaching normal by sometime in the
- 1:39:52
fall if 2021 dr fauci i really appreciate you taking the time to
- 1:39:58
just a good suit doc you look good with us thank you thank you very much and we support you friend of the show dr falchi let me the round of
- 1:40:04
applause man again thank you dr falcone vaccine
- 1:40:09
coming to your sound clouds vaccine coming soon hopefully we can get
- 1:40:15
this thing together man and have a real good 20 21 agree again dr fauci thank you thank you support you and we appreciate you
- 1:40:22
take care 100 be safe out there yeah i gotta say man the foster was
- 1:40:28
pretty cool yeah you guys good good good it was good hey dr fountain
- 1:40:41
yeah i know you had them flash cards right in front of that camera i know yeah when it got hot oh boy i'm like yo dawg let's wrap this up yeah
- 1:40:48
yeah as soon as i heard 95 percent efficiency i said yeah yeah yeah all right doc we know you know fouster
- 1:40:55
is pretty cool i'm only disappointed that i didn't i didn't get a chance to ask him about the vaccine as it pertains to the new strain of covet
- 1:41:01
okay now we'll call trump next week and ask him that question i don't know your call i don't want to talk to trump
- 1:41:07
no no oh y'all whack man oh yeah i want to talk to the don no i'm cool
- 1:41:12
even though what i will say is man yo trump is so stupid i'm going to miss a little bit of them man i don't know how
- 1:41:18
you're not going to miss trump man you're here to tape the tape of him
- 1:41:23
pressing the secretary of state of georgia or whatever yeah yeah about finding 11 000 votes go
- 1:41:29
find them go find them they're out there how did y'all feel about that was that the
- 1:41:35
funniest thing you ever heard or was it one saddest thing you ever heard one of the funniest things
- 1:41:40
of humor so i don't i don't politics i don't care about man this is all political theater this is all this is
- 1:41:45
all you know just a performance i don't care about that they say nah our [ __ ] is accurate no we've found
- 1:41:52
no it's not we found things different than you found yeah no it's not it's not everything go find 11 000 votes
- 1:41:58
everything was correct buddy sorry i'm gonna miss some of the lunacy i know it's [ __ ] up to say i know i
- 1:42:04
know what you're saying but this again we're gonna look back at this time and be like fam
- 1:42:10
what the [ __ ] was america on yeah yeah that's why i'm that's why i laughed through this life listen i like fauci's uh what i will say
- 1:42:18
about the fouster i like his passive-aggressive beef game
- 1:42:24
i love it and it was on display for half of the year like when trump would say oh this nigga's an idiot he's stupid why are we listening
- 1:42:31
to him damn i meant to ask him about how he felt about the same guy that proclaimed he was an idiot uh is taking credit for his genius damn
- 1:42:40
it fauster yeah we didn't so many questions yeah we didn't have enough time what i needed was three more three more questions and
- 1:42:45
we was good yes i appreciate it i wanted to know why we're being taught and encouraged to take this vaccine and
- 1:42:52
not being taught and encouraged or given the tools to build our own immune systems um now you're in my bag see
- 1:43:00
see that's all you got to do is go through the blanket a little bit more just like that yeah they're gonna hang rory when he
- 1:43:06
takes that to the whites
- 1:43:12
like a whole list here of plenty but i wasn't able to be part of the conversation so i'll keep them to myselves but yeah i
- 1:43:19
had a lot of questions for falci i do think y'all handled that amazingly that was a really good conversation i
- 1:43:24
loved listening in on that i call that [ __ ] back right now i thought that was worth it hold up
- 1:43:29
i had i had a whole clip left rory trust me i couldn't we let him get away yeah i had a hope he only gave us 15
- 1:43:35
minutes he did a good job i thank him for stopping by yeah and i do appreciate that i do appreciate him
- 1:43:41
just giving us time and talking to you know us in the culture and i do think they uh he kind of touched on some of the
- 1:43:46
the idea of building your immunity up by um at least acknowledging the fact that people especially of color diets yeah
- 1:43:53
black people have a poor diet and have poor access to health care and that is all kind of uh intermingled absolutely i think that
- 1:44:00
could have even went further into housing and isolation and what that does to your immune system as well
- 1:44:06
yeah that was a question that certain the this the systematic health and housing crisis that we do go
- 1:44:12
through does add up into covid and not being able to build your immune system
- 1:44:17
with not having access to certain [ __ ] yeah but that was a whole deeper conversation of course we knew we weren't going to have them for that long
- 1:44:23
yeah yeah we had we had them for an hour i do think we got at least a good well you guys got a really good surface
- 1:44:29
part with the time that we had and it was a quickie we ran we ran
- 1:44:36
rory is breaking the rules can you even shoot from the bench in your street clothes
- 1:44:42
rory's soon as he gets in the parking lot you know that god damn it rory well no i think um and just since we're
- 1:44:48
on just a quick serious note and i wasn't able to really be part of that i do think there's a huge portion of
- 1:44:55
isolation and what that has done to us mentally which i do think [ __ ]
- 1:45:01
with us physically as well for sure no that's been proven that's something that's that's not really been addressed at all and while that was
- 1:45:08
happening while the government was so quick to shut us all down um i think we also should have been
- 1:45:13
given these tools to build our immune system in the meantime rather than let's wait to see a vaccine that hasn't been proven
- 1:45:20
yet yeah no i agree that was uh one of the questions that i had lined up from as well um
- 1:45:25
just the whole shutdown because now we're seeing a lot of scientists come out a lot of doctors saying that the shutdown was absolutely the worst idea and the worst
- 1:45:32
way to handle the pandemic because everything else is up so i think the doctor said it was
- 1:45:38
it was like trying to kill a mouse with a missile it was it was just the wrong approach uh depression is up suicide is up uh
- 1:45:45
opioid use is up gotta be careful deck so for every doctor that's saying that there's a million doctors that are saying opposite so
- 1:45:50
yeah that's right as long as the scientists are shut down was a bad idea but i do think we should have been given
- 1:45:56
somewhat of the tools building your immune system is not something that's new that that information has been readily available to a certain
- 1:46:04
part of the world way before the shutdown happened i just think that should have been added into everything they were encouraging us
- 1:46:10
on the news rather than hey let's just wait for a vaccine and y'all sit in your cribs and lose your [ __ ]
- 1:46:16
mind no i agree for the people that aren't able to have nice cribs or even be able to continue to work
- 1:46:21
your mental is going to get [ __ ] up too and we're not going to talk about that either that's all well yeah that's that's why a lot of conversation this is
- 1:46:27
just me on a tangent so i apologize no that's cool no but that's what a lot a lot of scientists and doctors are are agreeing
- 1:46:32
with they're saying that it just that approach was just wrong so many other things
- 1:46:38
came as a result like of course there's going to be a influx of patients at hospitals if
- 1:46:44
you shut hospitals down or people can't make appointments to go see the doctors regularly like they would
- 1:46:49
then once you open things back up everybody's going to rush to the hospital it was a lot of things that different scientists and different
- 1:46:54
doctors were saying that the approach was just wrong that they shouldn't have done it and and that another one would it would take years to recover
- 1:47:02
from what are y'all what do y'all think about him saying that by the end of the summer maybe should be
- 1:47:08
halfway back to normal that's a big cat optimism on his part i think optimism um
- 1:47:14
because i think they said once 70 percent of the population is vaccinated yeah that then we can kind of move into
- 1:47:21
opening things again i won't be a part of that 70 myself but i'm pretty sure we'll get to
- 1:47:27
that number though i think it's a little ambitious um i mean i think you know correct me if i'm
- 1:47:32
wrong on some of these numbers but they were looking to get close to 20 million people vaccinated by
- 1:47:39
the end of 2020 and only 2 million were um so you know i'm not going to hold people to their predictions i know
- 1:47:45
they're in a tough predicament as well um and trying to figure this entire thing out so i'm not just sitting here vindicating
- 1:47:50
that administration but i the summer seems a little ambitious but you know i'd hope for the best no
- 1:47:57
there's someone somebody's happening it probably won't be in the u.s but they shaking ass in the bahamas
- 1:48:03
they're shaking ass in jamaica they're shaking ass in mexico so it's places to shake ass into someone
- 1:48:09
have a great time it just probably won't be in your backyard in in in the
- 1:48:17
in states hey
- 1:48:27
mike check mic check one two one two
- 1:48:32
rest in peace mf doom the legend
- 1:48:38
2020 just had to send us off with some 2020 news man
- 1:48:46
youtube if you're listening we playing daylight featuring mfdoom
- 1:49:15
last day of the year yeah last day of the year 2020 2020s
- 1:49:23
uh and we received the news that mf doom has transitioned had transitioned and we had lost him
- 1:49:28
rest in peace to mf doom absolutely of course our condolences to his family friends loved ones fans
- 1:49:34
everybody that was affected by such a major loss uh and this maybe hit me even harder
- 1:49:40
because it was the last day of the year i'll be honest with you yeah it would have hit me hard regardless but the fact that we received
- 1:49:47
this news on the last day of the year in spite of the fact that he passed in october on halloween apparently
- 1:49:54
yeah they did a great job keeping that under wraps yeah i believe he's been living in granada or jamaica or
- 1:50:00
somewhere you know isolated so i guess it may be a little easier and he's always been a man of mystery as far as
- 1:50:06
everything in the [ __ ] world so i'm not surprised that they were able to keep it under wraps i guess he passed in
- 1:50:12
mf doomish style he did right he did he did dying on halloween
- 1:50:18
and then i don't know if this was his actual request i won't say that for for the family purposes but it being
- 1:50:24
announced on the last day of 2020 was the most mf doom way to ever go out
- 1:50:30
and i don't want to take away from death but it did make me feel a little better that doom kind of did that on his own
- 1:50:38
like in a very doomed fashion i'ma die on halloween and announce it on the last day of one of the worst years in history
- 1:50:44
yeah what like what a doom way to go out in the year
- 1:50:51
that uh i saw a lot of people make the same take and i apologize for not crediting them but in a year that everyone had to wear a mask
- 1:50:57
the man that wore a mess oh come on man yeah that's come on man and then halloween
- 1:51:04
where you didn't
- 1:51:14
oh that depresses me now um i can see that but i could also see that
- 1:51:20
while devastating yeah exactly while devastating i can see that being a part of a master plan of
- 1:51:27
doom the mad villain i'd like to hear more about how he transitioned like this was done so
- 1:51:33
not secretly but you know respectfully i think that he may be battling some health issues
- 1:51:38
you don't no i think um it adds and this is a very selfish very
- 1:51:45
selfish selfish consumer fan way to think so this is just from that end
- 1:51:50
his family knowing of course but that caricature of doom and going through the transitions
- 1:51:57
that he did through his career i don't want to know i think this is the perfect ending to the comic book
- 1:52:04
like from a fan story way that doom was doing with all his projects and he was him being the villain of hip-hop
- 1:52:10
i never want to know like this is the way when they turn harvey's face at the end of [ __ ] the
- 1:52:16
dark knight and kept him the the good the good person that he was
- 1:52:22
even though he was evil at the end of the movie this is like the same way for me with doom in his story
- 1:52:28
like i don't need to know you died on halloween and and we found out on new year's eve on the worst year ever
- 1:52:35
let me let's keep it this way in the comic book let me read this uh and i totally agree i understand what
- 1:52:41
you're saying here rory let me read this from uh mf doom's instagram page i think this is his wife
- 1:52:46
yes and it says begin all things by giving thanks to the all
- 1:52:53
to dumb the greatest husband father teacher student business partner lover
- 1:52:58
and friend i could ever ask for thank you for all the things you have shown taught and given to me
- 1:53:04
our children and our family thank you for teaching me how to forgive beings and give another chance
- 1:53:10
not to be so quick to judge and write off thank you for showing how not to be afraid to love and be the best person i
- 1:53:17
could ever be my world will never be the same without you words will never express what you
- 1:53:23
and malachi mean to me i love both and adore you always may the all continue to bless you our
- 1:53:29
family and the planet all my love jasmine transitioned october 31st
- 1:53:38
2020. and when i finished reading this all love praise and respect to mf doom
- 1:53:45
and his family and friends but when i finished reading this i immediately
- 1:53:50
said damn why didn't i reach out to someone involved with chinks and drop
- 1:53:56
off a christmas money for his kids why didn't i reach out to to pop smoke
- 1:54:02
and provide like i wanted to do more when i finished reading this i can't
- 1:54:07
imagine being the wife or the loved one
- 1:54:13
or just anybody having to deal with such a loss in such a time and have to write
- 1:54:19
this um actually uh my family my family we lost a really really really
- 1:54:25
really close family friend recently due to covet and my mom and i got to just talking about [ __ ] because that's what happens
- 1:54:32
when people transition sure and she was saying hey if if you know if once something
- 1:54:38
happened to one of my kids if if i'm not in the nut house i'd be right there like for the other
- 1:54:43
kid wherever joey's at wherever i'm at or wherever veron's at if i'm not in the nuthouse i'm going right there um and i said man you
- 1:54:49
wouldn't be in them you wouldn't be in the nuthouse like my mom always taught me like when i thought i would go crazy if
- 1:54:56
she transitioned she taught me that she raised me to be stronger than that
- 1:55:01
like to deal with it so when i heard her say that i repeated it to her i said no you would be fine
- 1:55:06
like you would be okay and she said no i would potentially be in a nut house
- 1:55:12
somewhere it just made me look at this [ __ ] like from a different through a different lens and
- 1:55:17
from a different angle uh and for this to happen around the holidays
- 1:55:22
for this to happen when there's children involved um i shed a tear when like four of doom's
- 1:55:28
projects were in the top ten of the itunes hip-hop albums like i'm sensitive to this type of stuff i
- 1:55:35
i am this [ __ ] sold out immediately i want to go buy i only have a couple cds i don't have
- 1:55:40
much vinyl i went to go purchase on his website sold out immediately like i was shopping
- 1:55:46
adding to the cart took a phone call came back gone everything i really hate that i listen to music differently when the artist
- 1:55:52
passes i do well the words mean so much more yeah it's different like a whole different uh
- 1:55:58
meaning and different weight more more foreshadowing they hit a little different but i i did
- 1:56:04
love to see that and i did hate to see the fan that says to oh now y'all on doom
- 1:56:10
if if this is the way that people are i never dignify that person put money in his pocket and put money in
- 1:56:16
his family's pocket yeah i support it if you've never listened to mf doom ever in your entire life
- 1:56:21
we're here to encourage you to join the the doom family here go listen to him go discover him it's
- 1:56:28
okay if you're just now if you discover me through death that's fine yeah yeah like it's fine and if you never
- 1:56:35
knew me didn't [ __ ] with me and maybe still don't [ __ ] with my music it's still okay to be sensitive to yeah humans yeah like i don't
- 1:56:42
understand the kids when they that's back to maul's point about like i outgrow certain [ __ ] and hip-hop i only see this a lot in hip-hop
- 1:56:49
like yeah it's nasty it's nasty that mass correlation y'all
- 1:56:55
may i don't i didn't yeah but i read that yeah i didn't do that at all again rest in peace
- 1:57:00
what a career man wrestling peace to mf doom his way his terms his whole career yeah his whole career
- 1:57:08
doom is in that that same prince realm as far as i see what corporate is doing
- 1:57:15
to a genre i love and i want no parts of it and i'm going to continue to do it my
- 1:57:20
way and put music out the way i want to early on the internet early on putting
- 1:57:26
music out directly to the consumer early on the independent label wave early on
- 1:57:32
me not caring what an image looks like just listen to my music early on sending somebody else out to do
- 1:57:38
my show yeah y'all thought jeremiah came up with yeah yeah yeah
- 1:57:44
nah jeremiah i got that from the doomster yeah i was joking with guru i said yo everyone's killing uh
- 1:57:51
all these these hip-hop nerds is killing blue face because he's rapping off beat nah doom invented that doom was rapping
- 1:57:57
off beat first i mean that's true somehow he sounded more on beat after he passed you understood it yeah i was like
- 1:58:04
damn his pocket you saw what he was trying to do a lot of his aesthetic sonically and visually too
- 1:58:09
is uh directly reflected in the music that's happening today whether it's griselda or
- 1:58:15
you know in that in that world underground hip-hop loopy world he was intentionally making just [ __ ]
- 1:58:21
with no drums and not mixing it and putting comic books and
- 1:58:27
you know theatrical kind of [ __ ] in in the words and in the imagery and it's
- 1:58:34
important to to recognize that a true a true artist a true artist and uncle's the closest to
- 1:58:39
jazz a human could be that's not playing jazz right i mean like just in life and i
- 1:58:46
like to see the outpouring of love from everyone still living like i like that i
- 1:58:52
don't i'm not checking to see people's fan card yeah no no never no more that's corny yeah
- 1:58:59
i mean i i do hope you know of course i know doom was was really big on on the independent
- 1:59:05
[ __ ] and we saw when dilla passed how the dilla saved my life t-shirts became
- 1:59:11
trendy and all this other thing and i feel like doom's face with the mask has been sort of trendy as well
- 1:59:18
i just i know pray and hope that this won't become an urban outfitters thing like
- 1:59:24
don't buy the doom [ __ ] unless we know it's directly to his family because that is going to become trendy yeah it is
- 1:59:30
going to become the cool hipster [ __ ] don't buy no doom [ __ ] unless we know exactly where the money is going
- 1:59:36
because they're going to take it it's going to happen yeah that's awesome like hipster clown chasey type [ __ ] yeah
- 1:59:42
i seen a couple street wear type of uh sites tagging me and [ __ ] like i made a doom t-shirt which is dope like i get
- 1:59:47
pain i'm homage but nah at the same time like make sure that money is going to the family if you do
- 1:59:53
do anything like that yeah don't buy no doom [ __ ] unless you know where it's going
- 1:59:58
yeah you know i agree um
- 2:00:03
while we're on iconic legends that have transitioned and passed uh my guy shabadoo from breaking
- 2:00:12
past as well uh and his name was aldo fo pardon me if i'm pronouncing this incorrectly aldofo quinones
- 2:00:20
uh and he suddenly passed away at the age of 65. um a lot of you new kids probably didn't
- 2:00:26
see breaking but break and change the game if you haven't seen it go watch it go go look at it for sure but breaking
- 2:00:32
changed the game back in the day it had all of us trying to dance with the broom absolutely
- 2:00:38

- 2:03:43
but when i got home the roaster i put it on and you know what happened
- 2:03:49

- 2:04:05
it wasn't even five minutes in texas like your dog yeah
- 2:04:11

- 2:04:52
hey i'm gonna send it right to your phone yeah yeah where does this show go
- 2:04:59
i don't even know anymore man but speaking of that what was that i think it was weird how regular the voice was when he
- 2:05:05
called like they didn't try to throw no sauce on it or make it sound like for what it was just some regular ass
- 2:05:11
dude yeah for what we're not gonna play this glisten this is how much i want this is where i want you to drop it off yeah pull up proof okay here here's the
- 2:05:17
proof yeah that's how the escorts talk to me like when when i think i got them pinned up against the wall because i know they're selling [ __ ] they'd be
- 2:05:23
like yeah mm-hmm yeah they don't change nothing right
- 2:05:28
um i don't know where this show goes that was episode what five yes i believe so we're six five five it was it was five and i read
- 2:05:34
it it goes to ten yeah it's five we have five episodes left of this insanity i'm hyped go showtime
- 2:05:41
man yeah go show your time i applaud i applaud you all in the job you're doing go walter white
- 2:05:47
white that was his name right yeah and breaking bad yeah yeah yeah yeah he's about to get on his wall to white [ __ ] again facts
- 2:05:56
yeah he's on his wall to white [ __ ] again peaceful calm and now the mob's on you outstanding
- 2:06:01
citizen and now it's you got to get grimy facts walter white had the cart sell on him hey he ain't worried about the
- 2:06:07
new orleans mop yeah not when he got his son yeah that's the difference really great
- 2:06:14
show another really great episode yeah how you how you feel about chet
- 2:06:20
hanks i think he's doing a good job i got some deep dives on that show what
- 2:06:25
oh break it break it down i i have some prediction or do you have
- 2:06:30
inside info cause don't do that don't be that guy no i have none at all okay i have corona no one's trying to talk to me well i
- 2:06:36
don't know if he read a book or something read the wiki page daughter has something to do with this with these
- 2:06:42
text message guys yeah i could see that i could see it too i could see it or she
- 2:06:49
went back and re-watched when they were at the cafe if she was on her phone um
- 2:06:55
or it could be the uh the mom his mom his mom's mom the grandma
- 2:07:00
listen my dukes in the mob is blowing everything up oh no i was talking about uh somebody doesn't give a [ __ ] that's that's a fact
- 2:07:07
i was talking about um the kid the main character the child's mom that passed and his mom came in mad
- 2:07:14
aggressive mm-hmm i could see her having something to do with that too this is like just we just went through
- 2:07:20
this he was like oh no it's the kid yeah yeah no it was the guy we it should have been the whole time that's yeah but but i i put this writing
- 2:07:28
and plot way above the undoing so oh yeah this is this is wait different way above
- 2:07:35
there's a different type of writer it's a different type of it's different yeah but the the uh the undoing was
- 2:07:40
great the undoing was great writing though we all had everyone accept the father doing it at some point
- 2:07:48
and it was it was it was an acting clinic yeah like it was it was great to watch like a play i think my disappointment
- 2:07:54
came from wow it was such a great watch that y'all could have had more fun with the ending yeah the fact that y'all just left it as
- 2:08:01
was from episode one i could see people having a problem with that and if they do that in your honor
- 2:08:06
too i don't see how they could do it right because they've been they've been so awesome they've shown us
- 2:08:12
how all over the place you know you know who we're doing left us to speculate it's probably this all over the place
- 2:08:18
it's probably the the uh the dudes in the suv the black suv at the beginning they were yeah chased them they saw everything yeah
- 2:08:24
do you all think that uh do you all think that the son that killed
- 2:08:29
the mob son is gonna [ __ ] the mob daughter yes or no it's looking that way also
- 2:08:34
that mob daughter is also saying she was in on it they casted her so well she looks dead ass like
- 2:08:39
dude's daughter yeah like they have the same face yeah and knows you yeah
- 2:08:45
sorry racist against italians that girl looks like all the white girls from the hood that wanted to [ __ ] us that we wouldn't [ __ ]
- 2:08:52
i see what you're doing so italian women yeah no rory i see what you did there too right
- 2:08:59
i had a bad italian but that damn tour arturo gotti couldn't wheel her from him
- 2:09:05
the boxer yeah rest in peace oh yeah i told that story here before okay i don't remember but it sounds
- 2:09:12
about right i didn't win the girl if that's what you actually no you got it hey
- 2:09:19
i mean you know if he wants you i understand right you're a great girl yeah you it's cool it's cool i get it um
- 2:09:26
let's see let's see what we're just on oh you're on i'll be back this sunday i'm tempted to just not watch it at
- 2:09:32
all so i could catch a few episodes in my channel i'm not doing it like that i started um gangs of london oh yeah it said
- 2:09:39
the first episode was really good yeah yeah so i started that a lot of people recommended that yeah it's really good the first episode
- 2:09:45
was really good i still gotta do mr robot yeah damn i had a topic i wanted to talk
- 2:09:51
to you all about but i think we too far in i think this one is too important we should save it to saturday okay rap lyrics are now admissible in
- 2:09:57
court oh they they weren't before no
- 2:10:03
you now by law you can use all rap lyrics oh no that's crazy in court that's
- 2:10:09
that's really and we should really deep dive on that one i think that's way too important for us
- 2:10:14
to get into an hour three of this pod okay yeah no that's definitely uh but that's and i will quickly say that's like if
- 2:10:22
robert de niro got arrested for something and they brought up goodfellas and say look how violent he is well yeah
- 2:10:28
yeah that's funny that's what's good well it's a little different again in our culture because
- 2:10:34
this whole new genre of rap hip-hop is more gang
- 2:10:42
involved it's the pressure it's it's it's it's a lot of gang banging on wax now so naturally they're they because
- 2:10:49
they've been successful in piecing together cases before using lyrics and songs and creating a timeline
- 2:10:56
so i mean this is just another law yeah no this is just another this is
- 2:11:01
just another tool for us to look at and say okay we need to be more responsible and stop
- 2:11:07
doing this dumb [ __ ] and stop bringing the feds and the police right to your doorstep
- 2:11:13
that's all more do you think they'll be able to do that um be able to i think do you think that
- 2:11:19
they're able to do i think they will no yeah that's what i'm asking no i don't think i don't think these artists will i don't think they will i want us to
- 2:11:25
dive deeper into this on saturday i think this is a really important topic i don't want to breeze through no let's
- 2:11:31
do it i'm down it deserves unpacking um yeah let's build on this later oh
- 2:11:36
yeah i got you all right what else is very important very important oh this reads like it's super important
- 2:11:42
let me let me give it to the culture on monday roughly 230 google employees
- 2:11:48
announced they were forming a union with the communication workers of america it's open to employees and contractors
- 2:11:54
at alphabet google's parent company as a minority union it doesn't need to go through a formal legal process in
- 2:12:00
order to exist it just needs to announce itself that part is done
- 2:12:06
world meet the alphabet workers union the news prompted a wave of support from
- 2:12:11
organizers like senator bernie sanders ellen powell and representative alexandria
- 2:12:17
ocasio-cortez it also led to some questions what is a minority union
- 2:12:22
isn't 230 members rather small and why is cwa involved there
- 2:12:29
what the [ __ ] does any of that mean well i was reading the same article i read a little further down but they say that a minority union
- 2:12:36
basically allows uh both people that are contracted employees
- 2:12:41
those are two different things people who are like independent contractors and employees to join
- 2:12:46
so there's a lot of uh contract employees at google whereas apparently i didn't know that
- 2:12:51
much about unions but if you do a regular formal union it's only for employees so this opens it
- 2:12:57
up for more people to be able to join essentially that are not employees correct that are employ you know contract 109.99 interesting
- 2:13:06
okay yeah it's really interesting i don't you know i don't know what the implications are but it's a big deal it's one of the biggest
- 2:13:12
companies in the world unionizing if that'll hinder people that just work
- 2:13:17
on contract if other companies are are not into unionizing and you're part
- 2:13:23
of that union would would it be tough to get work elsewhere because i could see someone being yeah i
- 2:13:30
would imagine and someone's saying oh you're part of that yeah i'm not going to hire you on
- 2:13:35
some 1099 contract [ __ ] sorry oh i guess that kind of being a
- 2:13:41
tough place for a contractor to be in potentially everyone else is not on board with it but it depends on what
- 2:13:47
your side gigs are some people are 1099 type of employees contract employees
- 2:13:52
that are still essentially full-time employees you know this is what they do um just without the benefits correct
- 2:13:58
like some some companies use 1099 as a way to not give people benefits and [ __ ] i see this
- 2:14:04
benefiting a union more than a 1099 contractor but that's just me
- 2:14:10
hey it's interesting we'll see uh on to more interesting news jimmy iveen sells
- 2:14:16
producer catalogue to hypnosis songs fund yeah the same people the same people yes
- 2:14:24
what company the hell do we know how much this sold for i think i read somewhere two hundred and
- 2:14:30
something million two hundred million dollars
- 2:14:35
yeah big bucks his production catalog not his catalog catalog mm-hmm as if jimmy iveen needed a spare
- 2:14:43
200 production catalog is crazy correct well i assume he's saying it's from he's a catalog catalog of everything that he's touched
- 2:14:50
in the music business i assume that from the number being 200 million yeah that's a lot rather large number it is well i think
- 2:14:56
it would be hot way higher than 200 million had it been what jimmy's been involved with in the music business period i
- 2:15:04
listen all of this is intriguing to me i would just like to see what some of the numbers look like for some of the
- 2:15:12
i won't say lesser talented but lesser accomplished musicians like we just keep seeing 200
- 2:15:19
million 100 million 75 million 90 million i like i'd like to see what happens when we get down to the who's in the 10
- 2:15:26
million dollar ballpark who's in the 5 million ballpark and i'm assuming that once they get all these
- 2:15:32
big people out the way with whatever their future plan is because i believe there would be a future plan that we don't really
- 2:15:37
on the chatty house they were talking like yo they're buying catalogs because they're gonna license it to the movies shut up
- 2:15:44
shut the [ __ ] up the people that are spending 100 million dollars like nine times over they're not just trying to license [ __ ]
- 2:15:50
to movies yeah no sorry sorry i'm sure they see a um
- 2:15:56
something on the horizon with the the royalty rate for streams going up i'm sure they're involved in whatever's
- 2:16:02
on the horizon maybe so what i was trying to get fouchy to admit to hey whatever's on the horizon with this vaccine [ __ ]
- 2:16:07
like who's involved right like do y'all know something that's coming that we don't know but yeah i mean it's interesting but i can
- 2:16:15
see why some of these older artists are selling because [ __ ] it i'm 80 years old like bob dylan for example or even jimmy's
- 2:16:22
fairly old yeah i'm not doing [ __ ] give me the 200. you take that money and do other things more focused on the people that are
- 2:16:29
buying it and what they already know and what they're planning for if yeah don't try to get me to play the
- 2:16:34
long game at 70 years old yeah like i'm going to sell absolutely i mean
- 2:16:39
if you want but you got to think about your family too now yeah you don't want to just well but but no i disagree
- 2:16:46
i think the people that are in these positions have long before thought about their family no absolutely and put them into
- 2:16:53
position no but you you just said you're not playing the long game i'm saying but i think that um oh not at 70 like you played it already yeah
- 2:17:00
so like now you're looking for the cash out whether that be 100 200 million whatever it is i'm cashing out now i'm also not i've seen people like jimmy
- 2:17:06
having and la reid are smart enough to know the long game for their family
- 2:17:11
and they they do see that selling your catalog now is the long game for your family you'll
- 2:17:17
have more money in the long run people that are buying it i'd like to know what their long game is
- 2:17:23
because they have one i've seen i've seen it taken i think i'd express a with the bob dylan analysis
- 2:17:29
that we did uh that some of the older artists are probably selling their [ __ ] for their family meaning we've seen it with the prince of
- 2:17:36
state families beefing overseas we've seen every every state in the [ __ ] planet the princess state actually uh the
- 2:17:42
government came back and said yo y'all fudged some numbers the estate was worth more than that and y'all owe us 36
- 2:17:47
million i saw that too crazy craziness but that's why i could see why someone like bob
- 2:17:52
or uh jimmy or any of the older artists are selling their [ __ ] now so they can handle all that [ __ ] while they're here
- 2:17:58
as opposed to leaving a huge mess for their family to fight over and hate each other about yeah just after they're down this
- 2:18:05
100 million yeah this is what i got for you to figure out royalties as things go exactly listen i said here before i'll
- 2:18:11
say it again life gets really funny when you realize that all that you've worked your entire life
- 2:18:16
for your kids are going to just [ __ ] it up when you leave it to them i hate to be the bearer of especially if
- 2:18:23
you have kids that just ain't [ __ ] now we've seen we've seen those type of kids come from families with us like
- 2:18:29
wait what imagine if we could have put a camera on jerry buss's face in heaven when he saw what his kids was doing to the lakers
- 2:18:36
not kids because genie did a great job a lesser level yeah but even that as a dad hold up rory
- 2:18:43
but even that as a dad and having to watch your kids beef about some [ __ ] now oh yeah yeah yeah
- 2:18:49
it's all rough yeah let me split it up now exactly while i'm here and cognizant and in control this is
- 2:18:55
what you get this is what you get goodbye all right yeah but if i'm unhappy i'm sewing
- 2:19:02
as a kid you don't necessarily have to be a kid i listen i watched i watched family
- 2:19:08
members as an heirloom yeah two other family members over what a family member left he meant
- 2:19:15
child not necessarily by the child no no no not as a kid not as none as a kid but as as an
- 2:19:20
heir that's an error yeah yeah if i have a disagreement about some [ __ ] send it to the judge you know
- 2:19:27
also back to your honor i've never faced a judge that kind
- 2:19:36
well he's trying to get something from them too so that wasn't full kindness i've never faced a judge that appeared
- 2:19:43
that way he was trying to get like i keep getting mad when he looks out for the kids hey man
- 2:19:48
the judge you're failing what's the judge's name he's got a sister that's dying to cancer why don't you say he was doing it like wait wait wait what that started
- 2:19:56
from episode one though in the connection to the family that he was into it's annoying dying it's it's becoming a
- 2:20:02
theme rather than this is just some cool judge i've never even seen a judge outside of a courtroom like just in
- 2:20:08
passing to a judge i have you seen him come right out of 595 newark in jersey city
- 2:20:14
i was a bartender but the judge in our hometown judges used to come all the time okay sorry parks i'm not that cultured
- 2:20:22
i'm sort of culture there just happened to work at the part of the judge
- 2:20:27
marks is telling you about a job he held i had jobs what job you're at i used to work in hospitals why is he
- 2:20:34
telling me when he was 12. i wasn't talking about when he was interning at the hospital 12 years old
- 2:20:40
he was a hospital intern at 12. what you had to do run the cat scans up nah hey send this to floor 13. yo ball's
- 2:20:48
just never taking my cat scan why not hey or my cat
- 2:20:54
they're definitely not taking my skin not any of that i'm not trusting more with [ __ ] why not i'm just not more i'm a
- 2:20:59
trustworthy guy man oh let's see what did we just come off of just now google and uh hypnosis no we bounced to
- 2:21:05
something else after that uh selling all your parents [ __ ] and then from there we bounced to prince's estate there's one more little
- 2:21:12
tidbit do you want to do the dan levitar dan levitar that's the one i was thinking about dan levitard i had no
- 2:21:17
idea that's not true cause i came in here months ago and said they're letting go of dan lebatard
- 2:21:22
finally yeah but i only meant the show i didn't mean him
- 2:21:29
yeah dan levitar is a staple at espn yes along with for me michael smith was
- 2:21:36
a staple jemele was a staple yes skip was a staple
- 2:21:41
uh stuart scott but he passed away what i'm saying is like i don't like how they have treated the
- 2:21:47
staples at espn at espn i don't now mind you i might be
- 2:21:52
jeopardizing some opportunities for myself by even saying i don't like it but i don't like it i'm curious to see what
- 2:21:58
the long play is because as of right now the shows are suffering and the the the
- 2:22:04
channel in general is suffering to me it's hard to find [ __ ] to watch on espn ready to put it on from noon to
- 2:22:11
whatever just in the background and it would be you know first take and uh whatever whatever the lineup was and now
- 2:22:17
a lot of these shows are gone a lot of the talent is gone i'm curious to see how they
- 2:22:22
replace well before it was skip and dan dan levitar like i was questioning how espn handled their
- 2:22:28
black talent especially in regards to jamal and mike and when they were talking all that trump [ __ ] and then
- 2:22:33
seemingly got x out rather quickly um but this dan levitar [ __ ] like and not
- 2:22:40
only dan levitar but who's the other mike it was mikey and mike mike mike greeny the other mike the big mike
- 2:22:45
my goal mike how they did golicky yeah yeah like it just looks away so in
- 2:22:51
combination when i see tweets like i saw it today that said yo um what was the tweet i saw the chargers
- 2:22:58
fired their head coach right the black guy yeah and somebody on twitter pointed out hey espn you're not slick with your
- 2:23:03
verbiage oh yeah the way they said uh relieved of duty for all the white coaches and yeah exactly the white
- 2:23:09
coaches got parted ways and for the chargers coach got fired and they they clearly showed that so i mean
- 2:23:15
uh in combination it just don't feel well there's a difference though
- 2:23:20
tell me dude there's a difference in being fired and being relieved guarding ways yeah partying
- 2:23:26
fire just because you're not amicable in the firing right you work together right next steps right right fire it is
- 2:23:32
get the [ __ ] out what happened you're doing a [ __ ] job like yeah but then we highlighting that all right so why are you doing that to
- 2:23:37
the black coach well did the black coach do a bad job at coaching uh yeah yeah you did where do you go you're
- 2:23:43
fired get out but adam gay said he didn't do a worse job than adam gase i'm not saying he did i'm just saying
- 2:23:50
that there is a difference if adam gates was treated with respect on the way out the door
- 2:23:55
after what he did well i think you should be treated with respect anyway whether you're doing a bad job or not like
- 2:24:00
when you gave me this job we agreed on something we thought it would work it didn't that doesn't mean we have to be nasty and have an argument and all of
- 2:24:07
this like it doesn't need to be that yeah but i'm only saying that there is a difference in being fired
- 2:24:12
and being relieved because it's a different energy you're fired because we didn't perform well i'm relieved
- 2:24:18
because we couldn't agree on terms we couldn't agree on extensions and money you know things
- 2:24:24
like that so it's a difference but it doesn't seem like in these cases that was necessarily a difference because again adam gase was
- 2:24:30
a terrible coach right both with miami and i get it i get it but it's the ceo the the team it's all about who
- 2:24:36
you're dealing with no time i understand what you're all saying but where the [ __ ] be at oh miami yeah he was just there
- 2:24:43
yeah miami well right now in the bahamas with the boy ah great time all good times
- 2:24:50
so much yeah all good great times oh jesus christ uv rays the uv index is really hot down
- 2:24:56
here this time of year every time i think i've gained a one-up on the boy
- 2:25:02
no no no no no he's ahead of the game he told you check the scoreboard y'all can't beat every time but i wasn't looking at him yeah
- 2:25:07
you gotta look at this what i'm saying is i mean mm-hmm i tried
- 2:25:14
to strategically time thing so no i mean in the three years that he took off you know like i thought i made a little
- 2:25:21
a few steps closer to the girls i like no no and then he buys a yellow i don't know yeah
- 2:25:26
and then takes a picture of his yacht and he becomes a certified lover boy yeah come on certified now yeah what are you
- 2:25:32
gonna do i'm just a lover boy oh yeah you're not certified boy not at all yeah you gotta work on the certification
- 2:25:38
process the whole the hallway to the boys yacht looked more massive than the hallway in
- 2:25:44
my home my house that's stationary this is a little different my house don't even my house don't
- 2:25:50
my house don't swim rory
- 2:25:56
that was funny yeah it's just a little difference how my hallway that's stationary not as
- 2:26:02
dope as yours that move yeah how are we gonna how are we gonna take uh the boy's [ __ ] from him he has a
- 2:26:07
yacht and a jet you got him it's hard that's hard to compete yeah
- 2:26:12
yeah just just you know stay in your lane that's all yeah yeah that's the key to life
- 2:26:18
just listen bro stay in your lane life is much easier when you just stay in your lane it's gonna play well i mean my lane is
- 2:26:25
nice yeah but it's a nice thing it's just bigger though they could maybe pave it every now and again but you know
- 2:26:31
budgets are right there the difference man it's just the difference my lane needs to be repaved or at least a little help a highway yeah
- 2:26:37
they got the concrete drillers out there on my shin
- 2:26:43
they got they got the cones on them yeah just drive around yeah just drive
- 2:26:49
around yeah man um let's see what else is going look at that
- 2:26:54
michael b jordan text you right now you answering why you do that why drake did
- 2:27:13
i couldn't stop laughing he was so sensitive he i thought he was done with just that line
- 2:27:19
you gonna scramble and pack your bags and go to miami and land in it i was like yo
- 2:27:25
yo but why do you all let drake dirty mac and music that's dirty mac but it's the art to it though it's hey
- 2:27:30
it is no no no i'm with you that's dirty i can't do that directly it's dirty but i'm just saying the way he does it it's
- 2:27:36
just an art to it though that's all i'm saying yeah but when we brought that record up all right well how are you gonna change that line hold up that off
- 2:27:43
no no you're changing that line hold up for a second rory cause i'm sick of this it's the art when drake do certain [ __ ]
- 2:27:49
that we can't do how do i say yeah but if you [ __ ] with that [ __ ] you're a clown ass [ __ ]
- 2:27:56
that's not what he said though he didn't say that no no he didn't he just said you're going he just said
- 2:28:01
you're going he didn't say you're you're clowned because you're going that is the same no no it's not no it's not you don't think
- 2:28:07
he's calling a [ __ ] a clown no that's not no absolutely not all right he was calling her he was just saying like yo no he was
- 2:28:14
just saying keep it let's let's keep it real don't worry about it he was just saying let's keep it real like let's keep it real you're going
- 2:28:19
you're answering the phone and you're going just be honest like fam if he shut the [ __ ] up she'll tell
- 2:28:25
him that hey michael b jordan calls i'm out yeah i'm gonna go i'll come back here
- 2:28:31
i'll come back to the embassy but i'm out that's hating yeah no that was that that was dirty back 101 that was some of the
- 2:28:37
greatest doesn't matter how their pocketbook when she goes to the bathroom you just can't do these things no not no more i am done with you no more no i used to
- 2:28:43
do that that was my bag um you shouldn't have done that more every podcast
- 2:28:48
moving forward from this point forward i might apologize to julius randle
- 2:28:54
actually actually speaking of that more you think the nets will ever catch the knicks in the standings stop i'm asking you man i'm asking
- 2:29:01
i'm asking a question corey is another barklayer hey do you guys think the nets will ever
- 2:29:06
catch the knicks yes i'll do four and three i do toughest schedule in the league to start the
- 2:29:13
season huh yeah all-star early all-star julius randle
- 2:29:19
zion who yo yo listen
- 2:29:24
i just want to know what you on right now man i'm just eating dinner dawg i'm killing
- 2:29:29
bruh oh so you just trying to lead the league okay i got you what's going on man
- 2:29:34
yo joe just asked a question joe just asked a question we want to know well he wants to know do will the nets
- 2:29:41
catch the knicks yeah but let me let the [ __ ] look me in my eyes man will the next jake and jewels will the nets ever catch
- 2:30:02
no we still gotta have it in person hey what is tips unlocked in you
- 2:30:09
is it the tipster what the [ __ ] i think so now tim's a beast bro he dope he's super
- 2:30:15
dope all right check this out i'll get you in trouble i'm just going to keep going with narratives and you chime in whenever you feel like it
- 2:30:21
check this out the nets beat the i mean the hawks beat the breaks off the nets
- 2:30:27
did you catch that game what's my man's name collins
- 2:30:37
julius randle did you catch that uh game where he was just made a poster of all game by the nets like they just took
- 2:30:44
turns dunking on him differently that didn't happen with that
- 2:30:50
it didn't happen it's all i'm saying man
- 2:30:55
are you [ __ ] gonna try to sneak in the playoffs like what's up talk to me we just we got good energy dawg we go we
- 2:31:02
going every game believing we can win bro that's really all it is but how did that happen tibbs
- 2:31:10
tips tips tips of beasts bro you did a great job but everybody just everybody's just
- 2:31:15
unselfish bro we got a real team we got a real team but what do you say to the what do you say jules to the
- 2:31:21
people that uh like tim's is rumored to run [ __ ] in the ground and maybe later in the season
- 2:31:26
your legs be tired like so people are saying tibbs is doing that to you and rj but do you all feel like
- 2:31:32
that i'm happy he's identifying y'all as the [ __ ] to run the offense through is what i'm saying
- 2:31:37
uh no i mean you just you just know what to expect bro so you gotta take care of your body
- 2:31:43
like honestly like i got a whole i got a whole whole setup when i'm taking care of my body making sure i'm feeling good from night to
- 2:31:49
night but no when you competing bro you want to play ottomans [ __ ] that
- 2:31:57
don't hit me when you see me i'm going to throw this out there no we good bro we good some people say
- 2:32:04
me i'm some people some people say that part of you going
- 2:32:10
crazy because we we tired of watching brandon ingram go crazy in new orleans like this is still some
- 2:32:17
laker beef come on back me up is it oh so you know where you get these narratives from
- 2:32:24
i don't know because because brandon ingram and jules was the point forward [ __ ] to handle the ball on the lakers
- 2:32:30
that's why i'm saying that so then we got jules brandon ingram went to new orleans he's doing what he got to do
- 2:32:36
over there and we just been so bad as an organization that has probably been unfair to you jewels with a [ __ ] as your skill set
- 2:32:42
so here we are this year you doing everything you got to do you getting all the talk that brandon ingram and these
- 2:32:48
[ __ ] got like last year but like that wasn't inspiring to you at all
- 2:32:55
they wasn't talking about you like this last year [ __ ] i mean i was 20 and 10 last year
- 2:33:00
but we was trash last year we died the br the br shoulda had nothing to do with it
- 2:33:06
that wasn't the motivation for me oh i'm happy for another motivation it was
- 2:33:12
it was other stuff you're hearing like all that zion on top
- 2:33:32
yeah i
- 2:33:40
yeah exactly so listen i was telling them all before you got on the phone yo cut that [ __ ] out man you trying to
- 2:33:46
[ __ ] you trying to [ __ ] take opie minutes from them
- 2:33:51
hey you trying to embarrass my guy man hey [ __ ] rock
- 2:33:58
it me i'll play together dawg what you talking about man stop seeing this then you just like a new york dog here you go
- 2:34:05
here it is creator right now but real [ __ ] when he when is he coming back cause i want to see both of y'all
- 2:34:11
uh he said i think he's soon ain't coming back soon he getting there yo is steve nash going
- 2:34:16
to call a play ever or no don't answer that don't answer that
- 2:34:27
i want more to answer
- 2:34:35
it's early it's early it's early it's early it's early in the season all right yo my last question i just want to know when ob coming back because
- 2:34:41
y'all [ __ ] gonna try to make the playoffs so that takes us out of cade cunningham contention for the draft
- 2:34:46
i thought we was tanking here you go want to be good [ __ ] out of here
- 2:34:53
yo i want us to put together a squad jules and if i'm being transparent with you i don't want you to go bust your ass and
- 2:35:00
we get wins and make the playoffs and then dolan and the knicks do some nick [ __ ] and then we don't bring you back like
- 2:35:07
i'm watching the organization like you [ __ ] is balling the organization better do what they
- 2:35:12
have to do in the off season bro we got some good people in place bro it's changing though
- 2:35:18
i've been there for a month they just got there yeah but bro this is changing bro trust
- 2:35:23
me it's changing
- 2:35:31
bro it's a different culture bro you got to come up to the studio man no we got to come to the game let's record from
- 2:35:36
there yeah or next uh friday
- 2:35:43
we might play friday i'll check though [ __ ] don't even know when they play i feel you don't even know when you play no more you just show up yeah yeah hey
- 2:35:50
man this [ __ ] just do what i do you know types of new [ __ ] now no julie she's happily married
- 2:35:55
oh tell wifey i said hello oh wow
- 2:36:03
i'm gonna call you when we get out of here
- 2:36:13
because i said i'm willing to apologize to julius randle every podcast for the rest of the season
- 2:36:18
but maul owes rj barrett an apology tell the truth tell the truth
- 2:36:26
tell the truth i don't know what maul said joe i just know what you said um see stop trying to pull me in beef
- 2:36:33
why are you talking for me
- 2:36:42
good luck man happy to see you all good we [ __ ] with y'all man thank you and come up here whenever you're free please
- 2:36:47
my god for sure i'll highlight y'all
- 2:36:52
he looks great he looks great he looks great this thing is crazy but it's early we'll be seven games in come on man next
- 2:36:58
five games i might be here cursing him out again so steve nash is not going to coach everybody's okay with that
- 2:37:04
he's coaching man stop coaching where he stopped doing that all right he's coaching that's what listen it's
- 2:37:09
early if you're not going to be honest if you forget earlier listen i'll move on to some questions that we may not be so invested in okay
- 2:37:16
uh why does steph curry do that today
- 2:37:23
that's what we need to call it oh come on i'm gonna call dave no more listen honestly remember a few weeks ago i came in here i told you that
- 2:37:29
before the season was starting them [ __ ] with chatty chatty to each other they were like yo i'm gonna shoot the deep throat
- 2:37:34
t-balls 40 feet all right me too first game whatever yeah so that's what we got dame had 40 38 whatever he had yeah but
- 2:37:40
62 was just different why does steph seemingly always do that to
- 2:37:45
dame well i don't know if it's always to him but i think i think that steph didn't like what a lot of the people were
- 2:37:50
saying about dame shooting in the bubble like he took i think he took that personal they started calling him the
- 2:37:56
best shooter in the league they started saying that uh steph can't shoot from that far it was a lot of things that people were saying in this
- 2:38:02
again everybody has convenient amnesia you know steph was hurt he hadn't seen him in a few months uh
- 2:38:09
you know the warriors were not the worries that they were due to injuries and stuff like that so it was you know dame was the guy for
- 2:38:16
the moment he was the mvp of the bubble um and you know you get it he's the guy for the
- 2:38:22
moment but i think steph was just reminding people of you know exactly how great
- 2:38:28
he is he is the greatest i'm tired of people just saying he's the greatest shooter i think he's one of the greatest players
- 2:38:33
ever at this point yeah yeah absolutely he's definitely one of the greatest players that the nba has seen
- 2:38:39
um and he's back i'm just happy that he's healthy he look like he's having fun again uh you can see him motivating the new guys
- 2:38:46
on the team uh andrew wiggins seems to be playing a lot better with steph out there with him
- 2:38:52
um so yeah they look good man the warriors still look good they still look like they're gonna be a dangerous team in the west i think he's better than larry bird
- 2:38:59
absolutely don't do this rory all right i'm gonna try to get some answers y'all see if we can unpack this 20 21 i'm
- 2:39:07
trying to get all the answers for the people man good luck uh no honestly we gotta find out looking
- 2:39:12
for the answers yeah we gotta see why steph is doing that to today man
- 2:39:17
[ __ ] is crazy oh now you don't want to answer this damn in a gym you better be yeah i know that they play
- 2:39:25
tonight [ __ ] ain't gonna put 70 on me and i'm just answering the phone you called has a voice mailbox
- 2:39:30
all right dame didn't answer maybe he'll call back we'll see are they playing tonight i don't know i
- 2:39:35
think poland plays i don't know the blazer schedule uh we'll see we'll see but that was a
- 2:39:41
good game what uh uh parks are you sad about the dolphins that i'm making and what's up nah not really
- 2:39:46
we over uh exceeded expectations and we have the third pick in the draft and the third pick in the second round who
- 2:39:52
do you take well now who do you take but are you in the quarterbacks no no you feel good i'm gonna i don't i
- 2:39:58
don't know if i'd love to yet but i'm at least trying to build them around them we had no wide receivers our offensive line was
- 2:40:05
complete trash for the most part a lot of rookies so there might be some room to grow there but i would draft a
- 2:40:10
tackle with the first the third pick first round and then get weapons wide receivers running backs
- 2:40:17
um i'm sure you all are familiar with the uh phillygate the eagles debacle versus the
- 2:40:22
redskins the giants fans seem to be in that playoff birth
- 2:40:27
i'm not that fan by the way just to make my position clear i thought they never should have went on
- 2:40:32
the four-game win streak they should have never been in contention for the playoffs and you
- 2:40:37
can't have an attitude about [ __ ] when you won six games that's how i feel the end now okay i
- 2:40:43
respect that pudding stuff healed stuff field stuff failed whatever his name is n for jalen hurts yeah with 11 minutes
- 2:40:51
left down three in the fourth you look nuts my [ __ ] but i don't put that on the giants i put
- 2:40:56
that on the eagles one and better draft pick the same thing that i was saying that the giants should do the eagles went
- 2:41:02
from uh pick 10 to pick seven by not winning the game i think they also announced that they were gonna
- 2:41:07
play the kid i get that the the game was closer than maybe it should have been and they should have tried to win it but
- 2:41:14
if they said they're to play the kid it's not really that scandalous to me well my thing if you if you're going to play the kid because you reserve that
- 2:41:20
right he's on your team if you want to see what he got yeah then play him right not in the fourth
- 2:41:25
true play the man true true give him a game give him give him a half at least jalen hurts looks decent though
- 2:41:31
jalen hurts his eye man yeah listen i saw somebody tweet uh the giants are supposed to have chase
- 2:41:36
young and jalen hurts and i've been sick to my stomach ever since as you should be that's a fact they've
- 2:41:41
had bad drafts that's a fact
- 2:41:47
yes whatever man justin fields looks great too do you watch any of the old yeah crazy yeah he
- 2:41:53
went crazy he went crazy i'm i'm rooting for him i'm root beer and uh trevor you're liking the super bowl
- 2:42:00
y'all know how i feel it's patty time patty patty bakers listen the bills might sneak in there
- 2:42:06
i have to see josh allen beat patty for me to believe it but that's that's a credible threat if they can stay hot
- 2:42:11
like they're hot right now but they're not in buffalo that's true
- 2:42:16
if they were in buffalo i'm with you i just don't think buffalo's ready to beat patty in kansas city
- 2:42:21
we'll see we'll see in buffalo though and buffalo lost what three games
- 2:42:27
so yeah three yeah it's gonna be tough buffalo is gonna be a tough a tough out
- 2:42:32
i watched them twice this year they look good yeah they're real good anybody that had josh allen on their
- 2:42:38
fantasy team was happy a happy camper yeah i don't know if i like the sorry the saints or the uh
- 2:42:44
packers out of the nfc but one of them too one of them too okay i could see it i
- 2:42:49
like a rod you know i also think real important it's important for me to know we were talking about dan levitard earlier let
- 2:42:55
me just say that from his own twitter account he's doing great um he says that everyone is reaching out to
- 2:43:01
him in regards to his show he'll be fine and he said he's going to take the next two to three months to
- 2:43:06
remain independent while he sought things out and there's no shortage of suitors him
- 2:43:11
as him and his dad are he totally understood that because it sounded eerily familiar
- 2:43:16
i won't get into any of that yeah i'm gonna tune into whatever he's doing independently i like their show for years him and his dad are great
- 2:43:23
that's some of the most entertaining sports [ __ ] ever yeah like you get to do a sports show with your dad
- 2:43:28
who you probably were introduced to sports from yeah like that's just to me that was like super dope i'm sure they probably won't
- 2:43:34
be able to get the meenakimeses and bobanies on there though which i liked when the third person is also
- 2:43:39
entertaining or and knowledgeable like those two or any of the other guests maybe
- 2:43:46
saturday we can get into some of the fun i had with the von miller text did you guys see von miller i did not i
- 2:43:52
saw it and i laughed wasn't it awesome it just sounds funny
- 2:43:58
listen nigga's gonna [ __ ] say rory say it rory i said i identified with him
- 2:44:07
wait wait no that's just wait that's white boy i'm saying nigga's gonna [ __ ] wait yeah man i love you listen i love
- 2:44:14
them too i love i love him i love him and his girl man megan i love them both so i reserve judgment
- 2:44:21
but this got wild for a little bit that's a little while just got wild in this guy it goes on it goes further yeah we can unpack this on saturday night oh man
- 2:44:28
but see i just can't with the v on top like that could be any don't do that we're not gonna just do that no that's him how do we know that
- 2:44:35
that's fine no man that's some sick [ __ ] if that was wrong if vol was getting that open attack
- 2:44:43
oh my god um and with that said we can get into that later is there anything else that we are missing for this particular episode
- 2:44:50
this was a really good episode like it was yeah i'm not playing with these [ __ ] 2021 let's see snoop em uh
- 2:44:55
benzino royce we can get in the bedina royce later too uh does hollywood return we can get into
- 2:45:00

- 2:45:22

- 2:45:32

- 2:45:49
year man to you man i just got to the arena oh you got a game
- 2:45:55
yeah you play the uh bullets tonight at home oh that's light work you know blow them [ __ ] out [ __ ] zach levine
- 2:46:02
what's up i ain't gonna hold you man i'm gonna keep this quick cause you gotta get yo why does steph do that to you
- 2:46:13
let him know damn you wasn't on that [ __ ] let him know no he did that to you [ __ ]
- 2:46:18
hey i mean it's hot this is how it is bruh i didn't i do this [ __ ] to people all
- 2:46:23
the time so that's the fact you can't you can't ditch the [ __ ] out like i mean i had 63 times last year
- 2:46:29
yeah like five times so damn it's gonna happen whenever you when it happened to you it
- 2:46:35
happens man no no no no no no i'm not letting you do that you're good at this media [ __ ] so let me let me try to word this
- 2:46:41
i'm telling you the truth [ __ ] all right i know i know you wouldn't lie to me listen last time
- 2:46:47
i asked you about steph and them [ __ ] know what you said you said them [ __ ] is good and they are good but what i'm saying to
- 2:46:54
you is this on instagram i caught a little exchange between you and mr curry
- 2:46:59
yeah and you were saying yo i'ma pull this [ __ ] from 40 opening night and then he hit you back
- 2:47:05
looking for the danger you said i was saying what you were saying yo i'ma pull this [ __ ] from 40
- 2:47:11
feet open at night and then he responded and said yeah me if you do it i'm doing it and y'all had like a little friendly
- 2:47:17
exchange are you aware that yeah okay so when you have that exchange dave
- 2:47:25
you can't let a [ __ ] drop 70 on you
- 2:47:31
yeah brett hello are you there i'm here are you right there that's what i'm saying
- 2:47:38
what i'm telling you is the truth [ __ ] i'm not telling you no media answer [ __ ] i'm telling you the truth this is you gotta understand
- 2:47:46
they are the way they playing them [ __ ] is screaming and got him running all over the place and like their
- 2:47:53
their whole objective is to find opportunities for him and that [ __ ] can shoot like a [ __ ] so
- 2:47:59
if somebody like that in the league gets going especially if it's steph who can you know the best shooter in the history
- 2:48:04
of the game if he get going like that it's going to be hard to stop him and he
- 2:48:10
the thing wasn't even him getting going he was living he shot 20 free throws so stop following
- 2:48:15
me [ __ ] what the [ __ ] are you talking about why are you pounding them
- 2:48:22
hey what you ain't why you clearly ain't watch the game damn i'm [ __ ] with you whether i seen
- 2:48:27
the game or not i'm just calling you to [ __ ] with you man i know who steph is and what he does
- 2:48:32

- 2:49:59
life and i'm just appreciative of even outside of the music i'm not just
- 2:50:05
talking about the music him his impact yeah that's what i'm saying
- 2:50:12
and that's the part we skip a lot well we get to it when [ __ ] is murdered and shot we get to the human
- 2:50:18
level of things but in this instance i don't want that i don't want that to fall on
- 2:50:23
on deaf ears just his being changed things and and what a perfect example that
- 2:50:30
being popular doesn't mean you're going to impact the world and not being popular doesn't mean
- 2:50:36
you're not going to impact the world because doom was not popular but he impacted this culture
- 2:50:41
more than any of us could explain and doom was popular too at the same time like mad villainy
- 2:50:47
uh peanut butter wolf was saying it was gold now that i just played and i know uh the
- 2:50:52
danger doom [ __ ] he did with uh comedy central or whatever the show was that was gold like he's old records
- 2:50:58
yeah no for sure like he wasn't completely out the trunk of the car i didn't finish to the point that we
- 2:51:04
