  • 6:03

destination yeah like a few destinations one and two boy did it feel good to hang out with

  • 6:09

people my age that's important i bet it wasn't until i

  • 6:15

was in that mix that i was like wait a minute i'm the youngest guy out

  • 6:20

i like that nobody's stupid here and if you're stupid like we love you for it yeah we

  • 6:26

  • 7:35

portable fan a lot of people was outside a lot of people outside i had a mask on

  • 7:41

people were like why you got a mask on and you vaccinated guess [ __ ] you [ __ ] just dirty that's why all you [ __ ] is dirty and dingy i've

  • 7:47

    seen dinged before that's that's why i have my mask on i'm talking [ __ ] today i made a part

  • 7:54

no it's it's mass season again oh yeah you know mass back on yeah mask back on no matter what yeah

  • 8:00

vaccinated now listen y'all do what y'all want right i'm wearing mine and that's it don't come up to me and tell

  • 8:06

me not to wear it cuz i see a lot of little videos going around mind your business i'm on mine that's it

  • 8:12

that's it um money power respect the album the whole

  • 8:17

album is being played like it just was released yesterday we are the streets was the album being

  • 8:22

played like it was just released money power respects the first one that's the one i was talking about all

  • 8:28

right so both day albums both of their albums are being played as if they were just released yesterday i

  • 8:33

heard the benjamins 300 times on saturday i heard money

  • 8:38

power respect more than i've heard it in the last 10 years and people felt good hearing hearing it every time that felt

  • 8:44

good to see bro every time it dropped like in the same party [ __ ] crazy

  • 8:51

it was like back in blood it was that record um yeah it was live that's though it was

  • 8:58

live now the conversation still has not shifted off the locks in general which i i'm here for it's a beautiful

  • 9:04

thing i'm still i still i'm still living off of that versus yeah i've seen a lot of people say they watched it mad times

  • 9:10

i don't think i ever seen that before yeah [ __ ] said they on a third or fourth watch i want to come in here and just tell the truth about what i really

  • 9:17

think about the verses that occurred but i can't don't be a [ __ ] yeah no no no no no no

  • 9:22

no yeah yeah i am i am i am i am i'm done with that wait i told you all those days over

  • 9:28

joe budden coming down you broke that i'm not telling the truth no it's over [Laughter]

  • 9:35

y'all got y'all last night you will never get a real opinion from me ever again but some of y'all know that already y'all blew that it's over it's

  • 9:41

over it's like when your girl don't see you in the same light anymore oh that's always the worst [Laughter]

  • 9:46

    why is that the worst

  • 9:59

[ __ ] up you've been viewing her like a piece of [ __ ] for five years when her view changes though yeah it's

  • 10:05

different this is over it's override i was asking y'all what are the acceptable terms for a guy to lead a relationship

  • 10:11

i asked her that in the car none none there are none we not allowed to leave no when can a guy leave think about it

  • 10:19

i mean when is it okay you're not allowed to leave and still what was that what was the example i

  • 10:25

brought up i mean if she cheated i suppose that would be a valid reason no that wouldn't be a valid reason if

  • 10:31

you're a real negative especially especially if you've cheated if you're a real number you're never going to catch your cheating that's true that's also

  • 10:36

true women are good at that [ __ ] no and if you really you're ignoring your girl

  • 10:42

that's that's the excuse i don't know what you do on a day to day

  • 10:50

    yeah i can't damn you can't leave you can't can't we some loyal [ __ ]

  • 10:56

i know and somehow get the bad end of this stick well not you

  • 11:02

i'm following your steps um yeah ice was allowed outside with me and that was a surprise that was like a pleasant spring

  • 11:07

we went out all day that came from all day long like sun up to sunday shorty told me

  • 11:13

she listened to cause she listens to everything so she was like one of them um patreon episode she was like yo

  • 11:20

kind of bothered me a little bit i didn't realize you're under this like you be this stressed out

  • 11:26

like i get it you look out for me you look out for the baby look out for your family you work all the time like i i get it so

  • 11:33

yeah go out and then she also surprised me she booked me a whole spa day

  • 11:39

tomorrow she was like yo listen when you get off it's set up go straight there don't even go home

  • 11:44

i took care of everything wow and i was a queen yeah like i got out of the pause please give me give us some claps

  • 11:51

give me some collabs and that right there is the problem

  • 11:58

    [Applause] he got a day

  • 12:03

and we're clapping no he got acknowledgement yeah and that came with a day yo you bust

  • 12:11

your ass for me the kids your mom your family your fans your work your child yo

  • 12:17

yo get yourself a few hours man go yo but he's right no i agree that's that's

  • 12:25

love oh all us men ever wanted to be acknowledged yeah and maybe have a

  • 12:30

couple hours that's really where my partner flowers parks hate comes from like

  • 12:35

y'all come we come together and you all get all your guide thoughts out but then y'all go on to your girls

  • 12:43

you mad at that yeah i despise that do you know what my thoughts are when i'm alone in the bed

  • 12:50

i don't even have anyone to tell them to i'm leaving voice notes hey man

  • 12:56

i want to end it to yourself

  • 13:03

oh man yo i'm i'm um dan i don't want to move on just just yet

  • 13:09

ice on the flip side of this money power respect thing every time a dipset record came on he

  • 13:14

was canvassing the crowd and he was shaking his head in disappointment it wasn't hitting like

  • 13:19

that and he would speak out loud and say oh it's not hitting the same and i'd say stop ice but was i wrong no he wasn't

  • 13:27

you weren't even there when i got to the strip club they was doing a dip said [ __ ] and ice was looking at me like this

  • 13:32

[ __ ] don't even sell right but look at the reaction you're right like the reaction they did a dip set set

  • 13:40

sets used to go up in the club anywhere club party anything yeah it wasn't the same i ain't even gonna lie i was like i

  • 13:46

was shocked yeah it wasn't him

  • 13:52

because i was fighting it like he said it mad times you know ice is ignorant no but i'm point i'm literally just

  • 13:58

pointing out something as i'm watching we did a lot of watching so we just sitting there like looking at [ __ ] and

  • 14:03

i'm like yo these records used to ring off shout out to them spanish girls

  • 14:08

    downstairs you know the ones

  • 14:17

why is i [ __ ] from across the room fun

  • 14:26

there you go is that all right y'all if y'all going

  • 14:31

to leave me on the ledge box one of the biggest sports in the world say something what you mean yo this is

  • 14:37

what i mean as dudes in relationships it used to be cool to look and now you can't even do that yeah

  • 14:50

make her feel uncomfortable with your look yeah no i'll tell her to look look at that no i'm not going to tell them

  • 14:56

something's totally different the girl you looking at might feel uncomfortable with you looking at her guess what happened don't

  • 15:02

look at her like that man jesus don't look at her you know hold up you lost me you gotta you gotta keep going all right man no

  • 15:09

explain i don't know what you did canceling

  • 15:14

i look straight ahead can you explain yeah all right they [ __ ] it up they

  • 15:20

[ __ ] aging up like we can't even get old like our granddads

  • 15:27

i know what he tried to say i don't know justin you know when your grandparents used to

  • 15:33

the grandpa old man oh you're out the game yeah yeah you can't you can't even

  • 15:45

no no he's not old cause he's still telling you 31. he's still active in the like his eyes

  • 15:52

are still cute so he's not really old a couple dick pills set him straight

  • 15:57

    he's back 33 for a whole weekend he's talking to [ __ ] about his time sharing [ __ ]

  • 16:06

    yeah no i got this time [ __ ] over there oh dude [ __ ]

  • 16:12

oh you know what you're sure

  • 16:19

    go down for a week

  • 16:33

you said yo you can't look at a girl what do you mean i don't i really don't understand

  • 16:39

i'm sure there's topics we need to understand other other than this one yeah i'm cool

  • 16:44

with listen i'm cool with leaving it alone cool um the blinders on i wanna i wanna shout

  • 16:50

out to uh don pooh it was his birthday uh he was at angie [ __ ] uh both events i went to shout out to him uh shout out to

  • 16:57

mary on at that second like private pool party right i just wanna highlight ice because ice is funny like spending the

  • 17:03

day with ice was great for me you were people watching ice i realized yes

  • 17:08

yes and i realized just how different but the same we are

  • 17:15

like man ice was together all day but we wasn't together all that okay

  • 17:20

you was with your upper echelon

  • 17:29

[Music] i ain't seen friendships no we kicked it over here i don't like that oh yeah i

  • 17:35

don't see ice in there you'll see ice in that picture right it's mad jewelry in that picture

  • 17:40

that's what she's talking about ladies and gentlemen ladies night part two featuring joe better

  • 17:46

ladies night part two that is hilarious

  • 17:53

that's funny yo i just don't ever say that i was upper echelon again i don't even know how to say echelon is it echelon

  • 18:05

angie is that upper echelon you're with angie mary adrian

  • 18:10

stop we're not doing that and elizabeth

  • 18:16

you're not with angie and beverly hills you with angie and elizabeth i'm with angie who was one of my probably only

  • 18:22

friends real friends i have in this i'm not disagreeing with no i agree with mary didn't text me and say yo i'm

  • 18:27

pulling up i didn't say you oh that's just that wasn't me about that it was a lot of other [ __ ] over there no again

  • 18:34

you know i don't like this narrative because every time we go to these funk i don't leave my house if it ain't the

  • 18:39

strip club if we take strip clubs off the planet i don't go nowhere you don't go away right so the one time i step out

  • 18:45

it was super i'm mixing yeah but i'd be trying to stand in the corner

  • 18:50

i'm gonna give you the truth there was this big ass industrial fan [ __ ] right like to keep all keep the

  • 18:55

whole balcony area cool joe went and stood damn near behind the fan you don't know how i'm gonna do anytime

  • 19:02

but but energy i attract people they just come over to me even the mary

  • 19:08

angie picture that i was cropped out of when they were taking that picture i went to hide behind a fan

  • 19:15

and angie said no just one pikmin i mean you and me just one just one just one and i got in there sorry fine and i

  • 19:20

looked stupid in the pic then they cropped me out of the pic i was laughing stock of the internet but it was like

  • 19:26

i'm not here to take pictures no you definitely well i'm here to be mixie it was even a couple of times i've seen

  • 19:31

people ask you for a picture you put the mask back on yeah i was just happy to be out i was just happy to be outside right

  • 19:37

but by the time we got to that next function which was beautiful uh uh private private little after get-together pool party [ __ ] right this

  • 19:44

is one of the homies the family or something like that of of somebody else but but yeah it was a beautiful beautiful home real good vibe so so this

  • 19:51

is why ice is funny see then this one like don't call me up echelon again

  • 19:57

we pull up it's beautiful out there mad cars mad people but people that look

  • 20:04

like about things yeah people it wasn't people look busy active

  • 20:11

right into whatever they're doing that's why i love new york because in most people in new york if you just watch them on the street they're busy doing

  • 20:17

whatever they're doing they ain't looking around that's what it was we get in there beautiful blue pool

  • 20:23

beautiful blue pool gorgeous beautiful [ __ ] what you i don't even know what you call them shits the [ __ ] lawn the

  • 20:28

cabanas the cabanas they had a bunch of bananas and why do cabanas just add sexiness to anything i told joe i said

  • 20:34

yo then they tried to take a page out of your book i was like but they ain't got no fire

  • 20:40

they haven't fired oh no no no joe said you see all of this there's going to be some fire fighters coming he's like

  • 20:45

there's some fire this is my bag

  • 20:56

i know the [ __ ] text me like yo i said yo i was looking up there he said ain't nothing really crazy

  • 21:03

there's no fire 45 minutes later i've seen belly dancers yeah i don't know whether i didn't know the belly dancers

  • 21:08

was coming in it came out the house we was like yo there's belly dancers bam it wasn't my function i'm just saying it was three billion

  • 21:17

the dj when we walked in was a violinist

  • 21:24

so he was playing your favorite rap instrumental

  • 21:31

and killing it to me the music and the words it was a dude or that girl it was a dude it was a dude it was a dude and was

  • 21:37

killing it yeah uh a bunch of songs a bunch of songs

  • 21:44

bunch of people around this beautiful ambiance beautiful women it's a few celebrities just a nice nice pace here

  • 21:51

and ice goes to the bar he gets his little glass of whatever he gets walks back over to monkey my upper

  • 21:57

echelon as he calls it sexually it's rose you know puts his pinky up and says

  • 22:04

    wow i love this violinist

  • 22:11

you're from newark sir see but i don't do that to my friends so i just looked at him and said isn't he marvelous

  • 22:18

and did a little toast to the glasses isn't he never seen here that was it's remarkable some of the

  • 22:31

toast with angie and mary oh no i said

  • 22:36

ice you like back in blood and killer music

  • 22:42

you don't like violence that might be hard with a vibe you know like classy beautiful he was playing

  • 22:48

like ice was in there putting on his best little that [ __ ] was doing it man but that's

  • 22:54

the last i seen him cause then when the hood [ __ ] start coming in he went over there to [ __ ] with the hood [ __ ] and then those

  • 23:00

in there see my hood [ __ ] coming my jersey city [ __ ] came in there oh yeah now we're good yeah i fans walk by them [ __ ]

  • 23:09

    [Music] [Laughter]

  • 23:17

  • 25:06

  • 25:12

in clubs and clubs and [ __ ] you know you got to get close to talk

  • 25:18

yeah so sometimes they could be touching you yeah so we're trying to leave it's a

  • 25:24

bunch of people trying to leave so this [ __ ] is touching me all up

  • 25:53

oh man listen we got a legend to pay our respects to rest in peace chuckie thompson

  • 25:59

round of applause one of the greatest one of the goats

  • 26:04

legendary iconic this guy's disc gog different

  • 26:10

different he's got all of them they're all his yeah he's a monster

  • 26:29

i mean uh what was the my way out was it my way my way is usher the whole uh it's called my way though yeah right my way

  • 26:34

that was the one before 87. the faith album you used to love me look mariah boys the man one sweet day brian

  • 26:40

mcknight on the down low uh so for real faith evans mary oh that's all there big ice cube knowledge

  • 26:47

one mic actually yeah no you gotta go to one no it's one mic um and just the

  • 26:52

outpouring of love from the entire industry all the greats all the legends again quest love i won't read anything

  • 26:58

that quest love had to say because it's too personal he personalizes things amazingly and he really is he does he's

  • 27:04

great at that yeah no but they did great i saw the interview when he was talking about um him and i

  • 27:10

was doing one might and he said they they was in the studio like drawing a blank and then they went

  • 27:15

to uh what song gets you right right and it's intense but it's calm and they start

  • 27:22

talking about phil collins heat of the night in the air i mean in the air tonight my bad and that was like the

  • 27:27

inspiration for one mic and he said how they just got to it was just crazy yeah

  • 27:32

chucky thompson who played everything self-taught uh

  • 27:39

just a part of so many different classics i didn't even bother to find out how he passed it wasn't important to me no no

  • 27:46

no it wasn't important to me how old was he 53 years old 53 years old

  • 27:53

super young super young great loss for the entire music community

  • 28:01

prayers thoughts condolences to his fans family and friends of course

  • 28:06

was just great to see so many so many legends and and greats pay their respect

  • 28:11

and honor honor the right way honor chucky the way he was supposed to be honored

  • 28:16

uh for his homegoing uh and that's that that's that on that man chucky thompson

  • 28:22

rest in peace we love you thank you thank you thank you that's the biggest thing yes a thank you

  • 28:28

yeah like wow that's what quest was saying he was saying he was coming off his first album

  • 28:34

uh he didn't do great he wasn't feeling great about himself and and chucky was having all the success in the world

  • 28:39

reached out to him to program some drums on a record and he was blown away that he even knew who quest love was and he

  • 28:45

said that biggie [ __ ] told me everything about the roots album cuts and you know just just

  • 28:51

i always say you never know who's listening like you can make music for a certain

  • 28:57

demo but that don't mean that those are the only people that are listening that's right like for biggie to just ring off mad album cuts from the roots

  • 29:04

and introduce like that that funneling of energy from the first album too which was not

  • 29:09

a big success you know yeah rest in peace rest in peace chuckie thompson this leads me to this leads me to uh

  • 29:17

something that i've been meaning to talk about for a few weeks here uh social media disappearances

  • 29:24

when when you when you disappear from social media all together

  • 29:30

every like everyone like completely going from dark delete pages or just stop posting content both okay both

  • 29:36

deleting pages uh no longer posting content not a tweet not a picture

  • 29:43

not a not a gamer tag like there are so many different ways uh

  • 29:48

via the internet to keep up with people right like that's one of the great things about the internet is that it could just act as a big group text

  • 29:55

yeah yeah like people that you don't speak to every day you kind of know that they're all right you can check on them

  • 30:01

at your own free will and just know that they're doing well but sometimes and and for me i realized

  • 30:07

how important all that phone social media stuff was when uh uh a star this

  • 30:14

stolen phone thing when the new york court told me that a stolen phone is grand larceny

  • 30:21

because of all the important information that's in the phone right really yes

  • 30:27

it's it's too much now people are storing their credit cards all that [ __ ] everything everything is on the phone so

  • 30:34

it's a it's a real charge now no matter what the you could have paid 800 700 for your

  • 30:40

phone and that was grand larceny it had to be over a thousand dollars but it didn't matter that it wasn't because it was too important right and that was a

  • 30:47

few years ago that was at the early the beginning of the decade so your phone and social media and all that stuff became really important uh a few times

  • 30:54

where i stood before a judge uh the prosecutor was going to social media he was pulling up tweets and just things

  • 31:00

that's what really drove it home to me how important that stuff was right and then you have shows like this is us

  • 31:07

and then you have shows like a million little things where on on a million little things season one episode one

  • 31:14

is the white guy at work doing work his secretary steps out for a

  • 31:21

second comes back and he jumps over the balcony and kills herself

  • 31:26

and the person that he was calling his best friend the black guy he didn't answer the phone because he was in the

  • 31:32

middle of trying to kill himself swallowing pills his wife didn't know that led to a whole string of events

  • 31:39

right so now let's circle this back to social media disappearing acts what do they mean

  • 31:45

for me they're triggering for women they just assume you got pregnant

  • 31:51

for men and women they mean two different things yeah if you're not a celebrity where you do

  • 31:56

the whole i'm deleting [ __ ] and i can put it back up in 30 days my instagram page is back i'm laying low for him and

  • 32:02

all of that roll out gimmick [ __ ] when you're like a real person dealing with real things

  • 32:07

and you just go away completely am i the only one that pays that type of

  • 32:13

stuff any mind is that like but i'm not a big social media dude so i wouldn't that's not you yeah because you're from

  • 32:18

a generation where it's just different [ __ ] your age and maneuver that way but today you know we say all the time

  • 32:23

you put everything on social media you put what you eat where you go your friends how you feeling what you're listening to what you're watching

  • 32:29

everything everything everything so when you go away it's like your journal completely

  • 32:34

i got people that i don't speak to but i feel like if they want to know how i'm doing i make it easy to find out yeah

  • 32:40

agreed true so when people disappear from social media i'm not talking about celebrities

  • 32:46

but when just normal people disappear it could mean

  • 32:55

a bunch of things yeah it could it could mean like yeah but i go to one place i go to one place first and you know what

  • 33:01

joe i go to one place first go ahead it would also depend on

  • 33:06

how active said person was on social media too but if it's a person like if ish disappeared on social media right

  • 33:12

now i'm already there so you wouldn't know you wouldn't really you know if i disappear completely on

  • 33:17

social media people are gonna think so right like yo you all right like i've had that happen

  • 33:22

i haven't tweeted in two weeks and i'll get a text yo fam just i ain't seeing you on the timeline you good

  • 33:28

i'll get a dm that'll yo like it'll notify me yo you good just checking yeah but if i reach out to you in that dark

  • 33:34

period cause i felt like that let me go dark for a minute it's too much on online let me just chill out a little bit but if somebody yeah recently but if

  • 33:41

somebody reaches out i'll let them know i'm alive yeah like i realize i've i've taken an avenue away

  • 33:48

of support or a way for people to check on me but when let's say you disappear and then i reach

  • 33:55

out now you don't you don't say nothing that should that's kind of an alarm yeah maybe and

  • 34:01

maybe and maybe everything about what i'm saying right now was selfish because it's still thinking about me

  • 34:06

yeah it's still thick it's still yesterday yes or no yes and no no but it's true because you could still be

  • 34:12

thinking about that person like yeah no especially if you might know someone

  • 34:17

that maybe has some depression issues or something like that at the end of the summer parks and i'm

  • 34:23

certain that there's a stat somewhere to back this up everybody has depression issues yeah because

  • 34:30

it's a thing at the end of summer sunday depression yeah they spike they go up

  • 34:35

really yeah i thought around the holidays well that's two that too that too i thought around the house yeah

  • 34:40

the holidays in the summer holidays for sure for sure both of those things exist so what i'm saying now we had in the

  • 34:46

summer i assume people to be going through things see i look forward to the fall

  • 34:52

like the fall is my favorite season me too so i can't wait for this hot [ __ ] to be over jazz fly may she rest in peace

  • 34:58

when when when she transitioned nobody knew a word nobody knew nothing

  • 35:04

that that [ __ ] just shocked the industry

  • 35:09

for me i wasn't i'm like huh you left with all of those thoughts

  • 35:14

like damn could i have done more could i have reached out what could i have but when people are ready to go

  • 35:20

they out they just go i had a friend of mine a friend of mine

  • 35:26

uh uh purposely transitioned recently i don't

  • 35:31

even say suicide i don't use that term a friend of mine purposely transitioned

  • 35:38

maybe a month ago two months ago i didn't tell nobody wasn't for me to say that's one of those private types of you

  • 35:45

know but when it happens the the people closest feel like

  • 35:51

well [ __ ] i might have missed something i feel like [ __ ] yeah yeah i might you take it you take it hard on yourself like that

  • 35:57

maybe i could have done something such and such did reach out to me saying they was going through something

  • 36:04

but i didn't pay it much mind it wasn't like serious to me

  • 36:10

and then everybody going through their own [ __ ]

  • 36:15

right like when you start having kids and work and mortgages and and bills and you just

  • 36:20

running dog it's times where i forget to call my mom

  • 36:26

you know what i'm saying there's times where i'll be like oh [ __ ] i speak to my mother in a couple days like what the [ __ ] are you doing you know what i'm

  • 36:31

saying so stuff like that um life takes over yeah i don't play like that no i got to talk to my mom every single

  • 36:38

day this morning shane answered the phone and i blew that blew that [ __ ] she's at a funeral yeah no and i felt that way it's like oh i'm

  • 36:44

sorry but no i need to we need to start the day this way no again so again life oftentimes takes over right and so

  • 36:51

because you don't really know what somebody's going through

  • 36:56

it's not that you're minimalizing them it's just like yo life is kicking my ass and i'm gonna get to them when i get to

  • 37:02

them and you forget well that's what i was making earlier about y'all about y'all going

  • 37:07

that's me and then you just summed me up like literally i'm dealing with a lot more yeah i just this morning on my way to your

  • 37:13

house i was like damn i spoke to my grandmother in like three days that's not me

  • 37:19

so i talked to her the way up but but i'm highlighting this stuff because like i said earlier he had to

  • 37:24

come on here talking to podcast for his his queen to say oh [ __ ] man he's making some good points he might need a break

  • 37:30

he might need some help he might need blah blah blah blah because life i keep talking about how i'm envious of y'all

  • 37:36

because y'all come shoot the [ __ ] and then go home to unload or or have somebody that could download off you

  • 37:42

like that's that's needed [ __ ] is just going home and getting in bed and turning on netflix and they

  • 37:48

stuck with their [ __ ] thoughts yeah it's a lot and everybody thought saying the greatest that's true so

  • 37:55

    this i see a few [ __ ] that have magically disappeared

  • 38:00

so i went to for me right when i see especially with girls right when girls disappear

  • 38:08

eight times out of ten is a dude involved like because a lot of times when girls get relationships or pregnancy

  • 38:13

girls they just shut out like i'll curse my female friends out like yo fam

  • 38:19

[ __ ] is your problem because they'll hit you when a relationship is over and be like whatever homie you're like fam don't do

  • 38:26

that like we sincerely friends we not [ __ ] highlight a [ __ ] like yo you good how's your daughter how's your

  • 38:32

family like that sincere friendship even if you got a man you should still check in on the [ __ ] that you really are

  • 38:38

friends with right so i'll attribute it to that when it comes to my female friends like most times they get a dude

  • 38:44

dudes be kind of insecure they go under the radar police but with men

  • 38:51

i i check all my [ __ ] you know what i'm saying like i'll just shoot yo what up [ __ ] you good everything all right but

  • 38:56

like i speak to you in a couple weeks like i routinely check on my friends and i think that i'm open enough that if

  • 39:03

some [ __ ] is really troubling you you could let me know well there's the other side there's the other side like

  • 39:10

money bag yo has a lyric and he says i tell everybody i'm good cause what you gonna do if i'm not

  • 39:15

that's exactly what i was about to say and that's like like meaning yo it's not true a lot before a lot of like you just

  • 39:22

said ish people are dealing with life that's to keep trucking mentality yeah it's like yo my my issue ain't gonna

  • 39:28

stop the next man i gotta keep going i agree i got people depending that's how i feel right like we don't have a choice

  • 39:35

but to be good keep it moving even if you're not good you gotta you don't have a choice but to be good and and everybody's not

  • 39:41

as strong as you and real quick some [ __ ] need advice some [ __ ] need a release some [ __ ] need to get that

  • 39:47

whatever they carrying off their chest on to another person but the key is is somebody that

  • 39:53

may be able to help you in any way whether it just be some words of encouragement a lot of times that's what i'm

  • 39:59

especially today men especially people just want to know your business

  • 40:04

no yeah true so it's like if you're dealing with something and you go you know event or whatever the case may be they

  • 40:10

ain't really listening to help you listen and as soon as they hang up the phone they're about to call it exactly so a lot of people become more reserved

  • 40:17

and you keep more [ __ ] inside and again with men we've been taught as men that any

  • 40:25

vulnerability is a weakness that's right right just how to raise their kids my [ __ ] like if a little boy falls on the

  • 40:31

ground he scratches his knee little girl falls on the ground and scratches their knee they get two totally different

  • 40:37

treatments the little boys told yo get up boy you better not cry take it like a man yep so we

  • 40:44

now after you 30 years of hearing take it like a man you start playing sports when you're young you better not show no

  • 40:50

weakness no vulnerability playing sports it's funny bernie mac's daughter was just doing an interview saying talking about his heart style of parenting but

  • 40:57

just because he was parenting back names yeah and she was telling this story that was real

  • 41:02

uncomfortable to hear today about her going to school she was young um grade school and getting in uh

  • 41:10

some [ __ ] with a guy and the guy punched in the face and she went home to confide in her dad

  • 41:16

like oh my god i'm [ __ ] up and bernie mac said would

  • 41:22

a lot of parents back then said you already if you don't go back to school and [ __ ] him up pick up something and bust himself in the head yeah then i'ma

  • 41:28

[ __ ] you up yeah and i felt away listening to that today and rest in peace bernie mac another

  • 41:34

golden legend i felt the way hearing the story but this was her story and this

  • 41:39

was her and the point she was uh trying to make was for me the point she was trying to make

  • 41:46

was she lived with [ __ ] because of how that was handled yeah mm-hmm like

  • 41:52

it taught you how you deal with your own [ __ ] yeah dawg i can't you gotta deal with your own show that's what that

  • 41:58

means i can't tell my dad yeah this happened he's gonna tell me yo go back and deal with it [ __ ] out of here shake

  • 42:03

it off yeah so yeah i gotta do you take that into adulthood where whatever fall

  • 42:08

on me i gotta deal with it i don't have nobody that's gonna like the person that's supposed to be your refuge is telling

  • 42:16

you yeah to a dude i could see like because old school parents is like that especially black this is my fault i did this i started

  • 42:22

this podcast this serious on this hundred degrees it's cool it's all right

  • 42:28

it's all right the end of the summer i'm seeing people

  • 42:34

actively disappear that i love and i'm worried about and they're running and i know how that feels because i be home in

  • 42:40

bed dealing with my brain alone so it just hurt it bothers me but

  • 42:45

i think that and i know what it could what what it could result to but i think disappearing from social

  • 42:51

media is very healthy i think there's no value in this [ __ ] really it's healthy it's healthy it's healthy

  • 42:57

healthy if it's healthy true if it's not healthy then it's not healthy like

  • 43:03

your body is your body right so some things about your body will never change like conditioning and the things that it

  • 43:08

needs if you don't drink water for a certain amount of time some [ __ ] is gonna happen yeah uh for addicts the

  • 43:13

second that you get off of whatever you are now is withdrawal time your body was used to and going through it now with

  • 43:20

cigarettes right you quit the cigarettes [ __ ] your lungs and your body gotta learn this new way we gotta get all this

  • 43:25

cough to flame all of this it's your body is bodying yeah why did i bring this up social media social media yeah

  • 43:31

if we're used to waking up social media from dusk to dawn it is an addiction

  • 43:38

point too oh it is because it is and it's designed to be that way yeah at another time we'll talk about who

  • 43:45

designed the internet that's like a deep dive conversation well social media particularly yeah

  • 43:50

but yeah if you're unification if you're used to it then you don't even you can't even picture your life without it

  • 43:56

like your body might not your body mind soul spirit might not function the same without it just like with anything else

  • 44:02

see the only time i really get breaks from this [ __ ] or back in the day was when i lost my phone like the universe

  • 44:07

had to force me into realizing how peaceful it was yeah when i lost the phone that panic left

  • 44:14

not a panicky feel no no and that [ __ ] felt good for something to not have that type of control

  • 44:20

over you yeah let me that's why we're gonna kick the cigarettes because that's con after you eat you gotta rush over no no

  • 44:26

no no no we don't need something to have control over you like that sunday i'm going to find what i'm wearing to your

  • 44:32

wedding oh you went outside you could walk sunday yes you couldn't walk for half a saturday i went out i took pictures in my phone so

  • 44:39

you want to see the so i'm talking about we're serious we're serious still man all right fine

  • 44:46

all right we're being serious they don't like when i joke through serious time so i'm stuck and i just be trying to balance it go ahead i know okay but i

  • 44:53

get in the car and i realize oh [ __ ] i left my phone yo that was like the freest i've ever

  • 44:59

felt and it was only for like two hours but not having to

  • 45:04

check a message check it just nothing no yeah nothing like no accident if you need me if it's

  • 45:11

an emergency i'm with sure he'd call her no it's like my family you know everybody call her not for nothing

  • 45:16

that's what i really love about the [ __ ] watch is that you can't do [ __ ] on it but someone could still call you or text you so you can still remain in

  • 45:22

the context i have this i don't even have the cellular plan i took it off i mean i have the watch but i don't i don't pay for it for the

  • 45:29

cellular plan i like having this because i'd be leaving my phone upstairs or in the [ __ ] other basement or whatever

  • 45:35

and just go about my day i'll be here and i'll check it in six eight hours yeah see what's going on any

  • 45:40

other thing but if there's an emergency i'm here and and the other thing um about going dark social media

  • 45:46

and addiction i'm so addicted to opening twitter on my phone

  • 45:52

that when i do those times when i take those breaks i have to actually delete the app because my finger

  • 45:58

on the unlock goes right there and then now i catch myself open i put another app in this place just to like trick my

  • 46:04

brain right but that's crazy yeah it's it's it's learned it's like automatic behavior i swipe up and then i tap right

  • 46:10

there where where the tweet logics app usually is it was designed that way yeah yo that's crazy

  • 46:16

no no i mean the social media [ __ ] is this it's literally an addiction like yo dawg

  • 46:22

you'll grab your phone and check social media before you pray when you wake up like cold still in your eyes where you

  • 46:27

gonna watch it wake up thirsty as hell let's go for your phone first literally go for your phone four in the morning five in the

  • 46:33

morning you gotta go pee you'll be looking at your phone that's nuts fam yeah

  • 46:39

i've started uh turning my phone off at the end of the night just well i have mine on the audio i

  • 46:44

know you wanna i live in the other room turn it off i have the automatic um like i have my bedtime and everything

  • 46:51

yeah so at 10 15 every night it shuts everything off yeah so even if my phone you text me

  • 46:56

whatever call me i'm not my phone's not lighting up so it's at least that much because i

  • 47:02

sleep in the dark right so at least i don't have that lighting up just distracting you all

  • 47:07

night yeah i don't know who needs to hear this but i love you

  • 47:13

or i'm here if you need to kick it yummy and if i'm not find somebody you're

  • 47:18

comfortable with kicking it with you're important because that's the other thing i realized like

  • 47:25

when some of the people you used to speak into pull the disappearing act you don't even have the surrounding

  • 47:31

phone numbers to make sure they're okay i don't have your girl's number your mom's number your dad your cousin

  • 47:38

annie your brother right nobody come on man i know it's you all right what else we got going on what else we got going

  • 47:44

on what's happening how we feeling which i want unpack which i want to kick it about new york city will be getting a new

  • 47:49

government well new york will be getting the new governor oh we are serious about today

  • 47:54

we are here today jbp went right to cuomo can we wait on this i mean is there something else to talk about

  • 48:01

what's up get the serious stuff out the way uh let's see it's all serious i don't got to be serious no that's serious

  • 48:07

he's out of here yeah he's done ain't too much of a deep dive no

  • 48:12

it could be it could be [ __ ] fam last year they were saying cuomo for president

  • 48:17

i think those two things literally i think those two things are directly related i totally agree last year dawg

  • 48:23

think 12 months [ __ ] were saying he's the best [ __ ] since sliced bread como for president that's all you saw

  • 48:29

was mad signs and he's out of here now i was one of them i let it slip off my

  • 48:34

tongue for a second he was he was i like him and his brother he was he was doing a good job of

  • 48:39

providing uh some type of leadership solace for new york yeah he was definitely that and i

  • 48:45

think that he was relatable right like he sounded like a new yorker

  • 48:51

he sounded like a new york dude yeah just sounded like one of the homies yeah they got him out of here yeah like it's

  • 48:56

not much of a deep dive on the on the result right they got him out of here and that's important to note because he

  • 49:03

was fighting it he was fighting it tooth and nail yeah bought it in the resignation fought at his heart yeah he fought it in the right nation

  • 49:09

yeah yeah he did he wanted to make his case felt listen i don't have the range to know

  • 49:16

why this is actually coming about some people are saying this is orchestrated some people are saying that he's still

  • 49:22

gonna have he's still gonna have a place in the political world i don't know like i don't know i don't know

  • 49:28

cuomo resigns following finding he sexually harassed 11 women and he got on tv and said i didn't do none of that

  • 49:35

yeah i think i saw one quote that said i didn't harass him i'm just italian or

  • 49:41

something see i don't i don't even know if he said that i don't know about what i heard he's basically saying like yo i'm gonna

  • 49:48

step aside cause i'm more of a distraction to what's going on like the world needs to get back i don't want to

  • 49:54

be a distraction the covet [ __ ] is jumping back on people's asses so me

  • 49:59

being here is more of a distraction than a hindrance than to help but be clear i ain't do this [ __ ]

  • 50:06

that's what i'm saying he fought this all the way today yeah like i'm not i'm not copping today and

  • 50:12

lost if he was resigning right yes um yes i wouldn't even say that and i think

  • 50:17

that's what he was trying to say like yo i'm not copping to it i'm gonna just step aside because it's bigger issues

  • 50:23

and i don't want to be a distraction i want you all to be able to govern and do some other [ __ ] and get to more pressing

  • 50:28

[ __ ] again covert is coming back and it's not even a winter it's not even a fall word and covert is coming back but

  • 50:35

but ish if the goal was to get him removed in some way

  • 50:41

oh then he lost he lost then he lost i agree you get what i'm saying because they got him out of here let me read this on august 3rd state attorney

  • 50:47

general leticia james announced the results of an investigation into allegations made against the governor by

  • 50:53

women who worked for or alongside cuomo according to james the report revealed a

  • 50:58

deeply disturbing yet clear picture in which the governor sexually harassed multiple women many of whom were young

  • 51:04

women by engaging in unwanted groping kisses hugging and by making

  • 51:09

inappropriate comments let's stop right there if there if the powers that be are at

  • 51:15

play here then we'll save that for another time on this topic of accountability if he did that

  • 51:21

then yeah it's time to resign you can't just continue to move up in the ranks if this is how you're behaving

  • 51:27

yourself none of us will know but clearly here they say they conducted an independent investigation

  • 51:34

unfortunately i'm familiar with those a little bit and you get findings from them mm-hmm

  • 51:40

and what they found is there's a pattern or enough that a case can be what's

  • 51:46

going on enough that a case can be proven now if that's what happened yeah you're

  • 51:52

a hindrance and a distraction to whatever the main objective and goal is and it's time to step down and when you

  • 51:58

see your brother you see [ __ ] his brother on tv looking stressed out they're attacking him now

  • 52:03

so you got to step down cuomo gotta go and ish is right it was cuomo for president

  • 52:10

and this is the result of it but the same thing with tori [ __ ] at the top of the year was territory on live it was he was

  • 52:17

king of the world it was drake pictures it was then it was

  • 52:23

he's trying his best to cook through it but yeah i don't have anything to say about this

  • 52:30

i was shocked to see him on cnn with the breaking news during the breaking news conference

  • 52:36

and my heart goes out to the the victims in this case my heart goes out to the women don't do it no

  • 52:42

what i was shocked at still didn't cop to it like that that

  • 52:48

part kind of got me why was he supposed to cop to it

  • 52:53

if he did it let's just say he didn't

  • 52:58

though you got him saying like i don't want to discredit anybody's story i don't want to sound um so accusation is

  • 53:05

enough i mean and that's the taboo conversation that's the elephant in the room right none of us was there we don't know we don't have facts we don't we

  • 53:11

can't everybody's just speculating unless you you know have knowledge or intel right but other than that the accusation is

  • 53:17

enough you can't tell somebody how they feel it's enough to detract uh

  • 53:23

opportunities employers uh network it's just enough it's nasty no man wants that on them at all indeed

  • 53:31

and you never ever ever escape it like this is going to follow him till he dies of course and my thing is i want to be very

  • 53:38

i want to be clear sensitive and careful to not let

  • 53:46

to keep this in his proper perspective because we're men right so we're juggling we're

  • 53:52

juggling a few things one of them and i'm trying here

  • 53:58

i'm trying and i ain't even the guy that should try but i'll try it one of them

  • 54:04

is this wheelhouse where there are men in in and of power and money that are

  • 54:10

running around doing everything acting a [ __ ] fool as men we see them [ __ ] sometimes yeah

  • 54:16

[ __ ] look like goofy doofy thirsty [ __ ] and we talk to women we have women friends we know they

  • 54:22

get uncomfortable blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah all of that's a real thing yes so you got to be sensitive to all of that

  • 54:28

there's plenty of women involved here that maybe were [ __ ] uh traumatized even seeing him on the

  • 54:34

screen if this happened this way yes for me that conversation is to be kept

  • 54:41

totally away from the conversation that many men turn it into which is

  • 54:47

can't say it's different yo do you think that's crazy different all right do you not now

  • 54:53

it's different do you think it's crazy we can't even have the conversation i'ma have it in a few months no i'm just

  • 54:59

saying oh but that that we are in a place where you can't even have the what-if

  • 55:06

conversation well like i said earlier some of these sensitive topics with the real thin line

  • 55:11

it's better better off just staying away yeah you just got hey man hey maybe you could hop over the third rail but it's the third rail

  • 55:18

you touch it or that's your app you maybe can hop over to the [ __ ] barbed wire fence but it's a barbed wire it's a

  • 55:23

barbed wire fence it touches you and there's a gate over there yeah that's yeah yeah that's why

  • 55:29

in the lighthouse yeah a lot of times it's best to just leave certain topics alone i agree

  • 55:35

especially today i agree i just looked at you and said no can't agree yeah we can't agree okay we

  • 55:40

can't discuss it now but we can't agree on the topic that we are talking about

  • 55:46

not this no no no no very different very different i'm not talking about we can't agree on the topic that we

  • 55:53

are talking about but then where do you because the women won't address that no

  • 55:59

so if the men and the women won't address it gets swept under the road you can't leave that alone you cannot no

  • 56:04

that becomes it becomes a festering problem it's faster than it is like i said it grows and it grows and it

  • 56:09

grows and then you get a powder keg that we have now going on in society yeah

  • 56:15

because now if you come a point where an accusation i i'm not talking about this

  • 56:20

an accusation is enough [ __ ] facts

  • 56:27

if you if you say well wait let's

  • 56:32

wait for the fact you want to be accusation free you are victim blaming there's a lot of terms

  • 56:38

that you yeah yeah no believe the believe women believe like so i'm about to blindly believe i it

  • 56:45

puts you in such a spot where it's like you know what i can't play with it dawg can't play with it kobe bryant's case right

  • 56:52

wrestling piece of kobe bryant always degraded the goat it's one of them right kobe bryant's case they said that they

  • 57:00

knew they didn't have enough evidence to even get out of grand jury

  • 57:05

but they kept it moving along because that city was making so much money

  • 57:11

that they just milked it like all the hotels were sold out all the restaurants were sold out all that [ __ ] was sold out

  • 57:16

so i'm deviating off track but the girl was lying and they knew she was lying

  • 57:22

and they still persecuted this [ __ ] in the media for a better part of a month

  • 57:27

listen maybe it's irresponsible of us to even call her a lot no no but to bring up this topic in reference to uh

  • 57:34

starting with cuomo what's going on there sure because people have a hard time differentiating yeah yeah

  • 57:41

they'll create a narrative yeah they'll create the narrative so listen my heart goes out to all of the victims in this

  • 57:47

cuomo case all of them all the victims period like just even the victims that

  • 57:53

haven't been able to get that to come forward and have their day like just everybody yeah because it's a lot of this [ __ ] it ain't just

  • 57:59

him it's it's a lot of fun it has been going on since the beginning of history if you are a powerful man in

  • 58:06

any country in the world in anywhere in the world whether it's africa asia yeah like women

  • 58:13

work powerful people do powerful [ __ ] women too again i'm keeping this conversation

  • 58:20

separate from you nasty asses out there that are just targeting men that wanted nothing but the best for you

  • 58:27

it's very different it is they could look the same very different talks real good there um

  • 58:34

what else we got i don't know you all got everything i'm serious i said it's 100 degrees outside and you

  • 58:42

introduced two of them somber sammy you got something that serious i've been asking you since

  • 58:48

we all can you got a serious one over there you got something for us no i've been asking you since edison new jersey

  • 58:54

nothing all right you got something just gonna keep going south i'm gonna ask you since trenton you know since james burke

  • 58:59

[ __ ] ass the [ __ ] is going on and he was never in jamesburg i sure wasn't one of them real

  • 59:04

[ __ ] thankfully all right here we go here's something fun platonic platonic women friends as i was even thinking about the

  • 59:12

topic i'm reminded that the other day i made a long mental list of all the people that

  • 59:17

i show up for don't do that don't make a list if you're a man

  • 59:24

don't cause you realize it's a lot of [ __ ] don't i should never feel uh might not show up

  • 59:30

i should always be showered with love is how i feel but that's narcissism and gaslighting is what they tell me

  • 59:37

[ __ ] wanting love is gaslighting appreciation it's not our time

  • 59:42

we want to tell you i want to get acknowledged no i don't do that i'm getting [ __ ] killed from [ __ ] that

  • 59:48

like they stay well done and i gotta [ __ ] go to sleep

  • 59:54

all right babe that's a deal breaker by the way platonic what

  • 1:00:05

the head is too fire for you to walk away at this point you can't yeah you like that burn [ __ ]

  • 1:00:10

go ahead but suck this when you're done get this bone look at it

  • 1:00:16

who is the bone in fillet yo platonic friends platonic women

  • 1:00:24

friends i have many of them do you yeah do you

  • 1:00:30

ish do you ice yes i have quite a few have you ever tried to put yourself in the mind of your platonic woman friend

  • 1:00:36

and and what like what do you mean what i mean is she's your platonic woman friend i mean

  • 1:00:41

she comes over and hangs and y'all have a blast and then she goes she leaves and if she has a bunch of friends like

  • 1:00:48

guy friends like this that means she's popping up around guy circle group friend groups listening to all the shady

  • 1:00:54

[ __ ] that guys do none of them trying it on her and then she goes home to bed

  • 1:01:01

while that sounds like fun and that sounds healthy

  • 1:01:08

is that fun and healthy for her i mean if she knows none of her guy friends want to [ __ ] her

  • 1:01:15

damn i sound like a caveman even saying it hey it's not my thoughts entertainment

  • 1:01:20

purpose is only what they used to say to make sense for promotional use only for promotional use

  • 1:01:25

only which is promoting that's not depressing if you go get around all your girlfriends and none of

  • 1:01:31

them ever try to shoot a shot at you at all it would be depressing all the way around it's a little it's not a gender thing it's a little bit different for

  • 1:01:37

guys and girls because men are a little more barbaric predatory yeah again girls got a little cool for this i

  • 1:01:43

disagree with that so but that's a patreon episode no women are way more [ __ ]

  • 1:01:49

that than men not out over it is it's just the only guy that knows is the guy that she's doing it to i know

  • 1:01:55

but again men is just shooting that their specialty move to all the chicks hey whatever closes the deal we shooting

  • 1:02:02

at the 900 of them so again if her if you the 901

  • 1:02:08

and the [ __ ] ain't trying to shoot it you heard more of you it's only seven other [ __ ] that know

  • 1:02:14

about this magic sauce that you doing damn and i know and i know them seven

  • 1:02:19

[ __ ] being a club together that's better though be dapping these dudes up that's better

  • 1:02:25

if you are if you're saying to me what you do when you leave here and snickering

  • 1:02:31

yo the eskimo brother game we won't get into it but it's it's a deeper level that we never

  • 1:02:37

address i agree the friendships no no no it is true the friendship sound

  • 1:02:43

this is great [ __ ] like let's move on i just threw it out there just throwing it out i am just throwing

  • 1:02:48

[ __ ] out there that's it come on moving along uh white people why do they keep asking white people

  • 1:02:54

their showering habits white celebrities in particular

  • 1:03:00

because i don't think they shower all the time and they're proving the point

  • 1:03:06

my people are dirty dogs i mean i heard a couple say that they don't even wash

  • 1:03:11

their legs in the shower that's old that's old no but they said but when they said it it was new for

  • 1:03:16

black people like oh the whites aren't washing their legs they took everything is there something to do with showers

  • 1:03:22

they took everything but bathing properly oh [ __ ] white people don't wash their legs

  • 1:03:31

no who said who said something recently everyone all of them no they keep asking them yeah and i think it was aquaman and

  • 1:03:37

he said i shower because i'm i i shower daily some [ __ ] like that why is that news like yeah i

  • 1:03:43

  • 1:04:37

  • 1:05:32

  • 1:06:26

all right you don't think he did it [ __ ] no my ass why

  • 1:06:32

like i thought we all knew he did it we just wanted to win we as in black people yes

  • 1:06:40

  • 1:09:21

rigged the whole [ __ ] spoiler alert jury to rigged the [ __ ] the cops were trying to press them they didn't have an end so

  • 1:09:26

they just hide they found a big spanish plug looking cop and did some undercover

  • 1:09:32

[ __ ] and they got the guy saying no i would never tell even if they gave me 20 years i would do the 20 years oh no i

  • 1:09:40

  • 1:09:50

  • 1:10:17

you know how much you gotta pay me to rig the jury if you ain't it's not half a meal

  • 1:10:24

[ __ ] that how much i got now [ __ ] are you adjusting for inflation right now yeah

  • 1:10:31

you got half a mil 30 years ago that's different than a half it was in 91

  • 1:10:36

to rig a jury fail to rig a jury 30 years stop stop one

  • 1:10:42

second stop for a second see because i hate when humans do that you're trying to trick me right now with brain stuff

  • 1:10:47

  • 1:11:44

of their offense goes through him correct and he is getting 60 million guaranteed

  • 1:11:51

i fully expect him to wake up one day riches [ __ ] say hey i'm good

  • 1:11:57

no i confess this here no that no

  • 1:12:54

i've been through that romeo yeah you got to say that [Laughter]

  • 1:13:01

  • 1:13:34

santos you're supposed to say romeo romeo

  • 1:13:39

romeo i don't even want to imagine that the amount of sex he's had in his life

  • 1:13:46

and they was like yo she got lenny kravitz and aquaman and they'd be cool in pictures and they cool they boys

  • 1:15:03

[ __ ] lenny kravitz got a 12-pack stomach still at 50 something and then you got aquaman over here with the

  • 1:15:10

biceps triceps 80 showers stuffed with that

  • 1:15:17

yeah this guy washes his legs

  • 1:15:28

that's what it was it was jake it was j that's my man too jake gyllenhaal is that how you say his name yeah jake

  • 1:15:34

  • 1:15:40

you're lying and uh wasn't it aston kusher and mila kunis

  • 1:15:45

they don't really [ __ ] with the the bathing too much there's a bunch of them yeah hey man i really like them

  • 1:15:58

yes you can i remember one in particular certain r b songs yes i recall who said

  • 1:16:03

i don't shower every day because the body has natural oils and cleans itself

  • 1:16:10

i know and she's bad if the world wasn't the world today we would do a a real episode about r b

  • 1:16:15

divas and just their shower techniques just no just just them just talk about their

  • 1:16:20

thoughts i'll tell you who that's disgusting

  • 1:16:29

yes you probably like her yeah you probably y'all have showered every day of your life on earth of course not oh

  • 1:16:35

god i'm just asking students we're not staying here if you're a grown woman if we are not

  • 1:16:41

teaching about women about showering right now they don't shower by now they they're not gonna get it

  • 1:16:48

there's a couple i'm mad at the girl that showers too much though like just come get in bed

  • 1:16:54

no not me the girl who showered too much make me feel like i got a shower before sex and

  • 1:16:59

nah no if you tell me i have to shower before sex then i'll show around i'm taking sex

  • 1:17:05

yeah after yeah you're a but you might be a before shower sex shower guy then after you double down and after

  • 1:17:12

i'm going to sleep after i'm definitely going to sleep afterwards i'm not taking a shower after i'm going

  • 1:17:18

to sleep i'm falling [ __ ] you talking yeah i'm good get these seven minutes i'm going to sleep [Laughter]

  • 1:17:27

    yeah you're lucky i can't find [ __ ] [Laughter]

  • 1:17:42

no i'm not you just said i'm showing after no problem if i'm going to shower it's

  • 1:17:48

going to be after yeah i'm going to sleep but if i'm showering afterwards i'm going to [ __ ] something else

  • 1:18:04

    [Music]

  • 1:18:10

oh [ __ ] my aunt just crashed at the hookah spot

  • 1:18:17

me out i gotta go that's if you come home smelling like hookah it makes i get it that's weird

  • 1:18:23

come on that's forsaken so there's no one to rush to her aid but i

  • 1:18:30

oh man all right uh let's see all right all right more seriousness

  • 1:18:35

serious show this serious [ __ ] this yeah okay is it not ever tell me how it's not because i

  • 1:18:42

don't believe it all right well you're just ignorant okay this is happening now and this is uh

  • 1:18:49

barry henkerson of black his catalog that has been away from

  • 1:18:56

music and streaming for close to 20 years is making its return to streaming and he

  • 1:19:01

also has an empire deal for his black black round music catalog which consists

  • 1:19:07

    of early timberland magoo [ __ ] early tank [ __ ] that's what i think

  • 1:19:12

two classic two classic tank joints uh we're not out there who else is uh

  • 1:19:17

jojo tony early tony braxton and the crown jewel of his collection

  • 1:19:24

aaliyah aaliyah now for many many many years

  • 1:19:30

there's been a dispute between elia's family and him about releasing the music how it's to be

  • 1:19:36

released when it's to be released so forth and so on am i my business on those types of things

  • 1:19:41

but now today august 20th is when this is happening

  • 1:19:47

and i'm rolling in one in a million august 20th 2021 one in a million

  • 1:19:52

hit streaming uh to release his follow-up romeo must die soundtrack it's on september 3rd

  • 1:19:59

and argue that somebody i care for you and the ultimate aliyah will become accessible on october 8th

  • 1:20:05

september 10th and what the elia album the self title one is september 10th what the thought process is to stagger them like that

  • 1:20:12

first try to get number ones everything yes okay or you don't want to flood everybody at the same time fam but why not segregate

  • 1:20:19

more than whatever i'm not supporting on this [ __ ] sorry and that's where i differ from

  • 1:20:25

most fans most fan fans are fans because you're giving them what they want

  • 1:20:32

that's kind of what i said about possible albums yeah fans just want it fans just want it they

  • 1:20:38

don't really care how they got it and that's where i land here with the aaliyah catalog

  • 1:20:43

the earlier tank and tony classic classic material would you support the uh

  • 1:20:50

non-aliyah catalog if he releases i'm not supporting any of it okay i'm not supporting him god i'm not surprised is there a reason

  • 1:20:56

is there a reason why you're not i was about to ask that i watched the jojo doc that's why i didn't watch it i didn't i told y'all

  • 1:21:02

to watch that doc maybe not y'all watch the jojo doc and jojo talks about being

  • 1:21:11

9 10 11 12 13 talented signing a deal and then having all of her rights

  • 1:21:18

revoked not similar to britney spears but not far from it to me and she's been fighting for her rights as an early

  • 1:21:25

child star up until adulthood which she recently just she re-recorded all her earlier works okay same as taylor swift

  • 1:21:32

so she's publicly now saying hey this is not supporting me if you want to support me listen to the uh re-recordings that i

  • 1:21:39

did the earlier tank projects i'm a huge tank fan i know they're not on streaming

  • 1:21:45

and i know he went to court i also know tony braxton went to court

  • 1:21:50

and this article that i read says timberland and magoo went to court and i take all of that info and put it

  • 1:21:56

with what i know about elia's history and her child starness yeah

  • 1:22:02

and that gives me a very clear picture of who barry henkerson is and the type of music industry that he

  • 1:22:08

comes from it's an industry that i fight every minute to do away with predatory

  • 1:22:13

one i fight my entire life is where we are today

  • 1:22:18

there's progress being made and doing away with the old one person owning the rights to

  • 1:22:25

your mute hey we about to talk about de la soul next they got their [ __ ] back

  • 1:22:30

yeah after 30 40 [ __ ] years and all types of fighting fights and public support and lawyer fees and blah

  • 1:22:37

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah yeah we're gonna get to that but i don't support the music industry where one

  • 1:22:44

person now just owns the rights to all of our favorite acts and guess what all the musicians that i love

  • 1:22:51

they ain't never rock with that neither yeah but sam crap hold on prince give it

  • 1:22:56

to me two things this it is business for a lot of these cats and we we just talked about not business if you approach 10

  • 1:23:03

    11. wait a minute wait a minute hold on we just talked about when michael jackson was out buying rights and [ __ ]

  • 1:23:10

like that like this is certain people play that game and you say the same thing you say yo if you signed a

  • 1:23:15

contract yeah you got it you didn't reach your contract get somebody get a lawyer get

  • 1:23:20

read your contract know what you're giving up in your contract a lot of people don't and deal with it later

  • 1:23:27

i think y'all are introducing points that for me are not relevant

  • 1:23:33

at different times if you listen to me long enough you'll hear me support both sides exactly

  • 1:23:38

but because i understand the position of the struggling artist that has to take the opportunity in front of them no

  • 1:23:43

matter what and will work on getting out of the [ __ ] later like i understand that

  • 1:23:49

i also understand the executive that put all his money up and has to get it back somehow

  • 1:23:54

so depending on the situation because contract details are so minuscule everybody's situation can be different

  • 1:24:01

depending on the situation depends on my take okay it's not fair

  • 1:24:06

it's not fair what do you mean you can't say yo the contract is binding and

  • 1:24:13

for this particular person and then say yo but the contract is some [ __ ] [ __ ] over here for this particular person

  • 1:24:18

different contracts i'm saying different contracts but you negotiate that you still negotiate you still negotiate overall 14 year old

  • 1:24:25

could not have done that somebody had to she had a guardian or something yeah and that's why that's not okay then stop i

  • 1:24:31

watched lord law and order enough to know that olivia be trying to talk to [ __ ] underage people without the

  • 1:24:38

parents sometimes that what do you think that don't happen in music you think okay

  • 1:24:44

wait stop stop you think everything in music is sold by the books no but aaliyah can't sign that contract at 11

  • 1:24:51

years old and it'd be binding i don't care who talks to harley cannot i don't care

  • 1:25:01

so yeah he could go talk to her or whoever could say whatever her word don't mean [ __ ] because she's a kid

  • 1:25:06

exactly some adult got to sign off on that exactly that don't make that okay for me britney's dad signed off on a lot

  • 1:25:11

of [ __ ] and here we are like that means nothing to me different circumstances no it's not people's parents and music

  • 1:25:18

    unless you come from music you don't know [ __ ] about no [ __ ] music

  • 1:25:23

no no i want you to keep the same exact stance when them [ __ ] bring that puff [ __ ] up i want you to keep the same exact stance

  • 1:25:30

when [ __ ] talk about [ __ ] people you're not making sense why no because because i'm very clearly stating my

  • 1:25:36

position which is i understand both you're wavering at your position

  • 1:25:41

i'm a waiver when you interrupt me that's not what i'm doing so gain understanding of what i'm saying let's now let's talk about it let's talk about me go ahead let's talk my mace i came in

  • 1:25:48

here and said at i don't know that was my position on mace and puff the internet says i just came for puff but

  • 1:25:55

that was my same position with pete and migos like my position is going to be that

  • 1:26:00

sometimes you all keep adding all these other facts i'm saying every one of this [ __ ] artist was a kid y'all could say

  • 1:26:07

    cool you're wrong i don't tony braxton wasn't a kid timbaland boy's not kids tank wasn't a

  • 1:26:12

[ __ ] kid you're telling me you're saying aaliyah and jojo are kids the rest of them [ __ ] is not kids

  • 1:26:18

okay so the rest of the adults later on went to court okay to say we

  • 1:26:23

have a problem with with the way that this man goes about business okay so what's confusing about me

  • 1:26:30

artists they went to court to try and get their [ __ ] back who went to court mace

  • 1:26:38

deluxe when did meg's go to courtish i don't know but i got the date in my pocket

  • 1:26:43

but then google it keep going we will pause and wait we can

  • 1:26:49

keep going i don't remember a mace court proceeding i remember mace retiring and going to church when somebody gave

  • 1:26:56

him money to produce music that's what i remember i could be off but this is factual stuff so we could google it all

  • 1:27:02

i'm saying is if everyone if every last one of your artists

  • 1:27:08

has a problem i could see through it hey

  • 1:27:14

i'm not telling none of y'all what to see through this some fans just need the music nah i just

  • 1:27:19

need some fans i'm not talking about the pup [ __ ] i'm talking about with him if everybody has

  • 1:27:26

a problem with it he might have gave him all bad contracts

  • 1:27:31

but you know what they signed those contracts they didn't have a lawyer look over and

  • 1:27:36

say yo you're getting [ __ ] up i don't know whatever happened we don't know we but what we know is

  • 1:27:42

he gave them a contract they signed the contract and then they regretted the contract those are the

  • 1:27:48

things we know for every artist he's ever coming in yeah it could be every every artist has ever met so now what

  • 1:27:53

are you telling me that these artists didn't do their

  • 1:27:59

if you due diligence if you're if ever if you're [ __ ] everybody over somebody got to look up and say well let's read through this

  • 1:28:04

let's double check this something right i got it i'm glad that y'all have your opinion

  • 1:28:10

this guy's history is well known throughout the industry think what the [ __ ] you want i'm telling you why i feel how i feel about him and my stance on

  • 1:28:16

streaming and robbing artists especially predator predatory when you go about in a predatory way underage artist that's

  • 1:28:22

never going to change that's never going to change i'm not telling y'all to change your mind have a blast i got one

  • 1:28:28

in the million already yeah i got all this [ __ ] so i don't care i've got the old tank stuff i have i got the old honey i got that i'm mr rb i got it all

  • 1:28:36

but don't disappear and then pop back up selling selling [ __ ] music and [ __ ] is still around some of them if you was

  • 1:28:42

lucky to still be here no don't do that it's a case by case basis for me

  • 1:28:49

you got everybody catalog that you kept on and now [ __ ] can't get paid hey [ __ ] already don't get paid from streaming

  • 1:28:56

now you're not getting paid because you don't own none of the [ __ ] that you make to stream like why is this case playing

  • 1:29:01

because tell me mike everyone is waiver everyone's situation it does though huh go ahead everyone's situation is

  • 1:29:07

different uh in the example of de la soul which we'll get into next they the the record

  • 1:29:12

label didn't do their due diligence and clear the samples which is why they're holding the contract over their heads that's the label [ __ ] up gotcha

  • 1:29:18

in uh a situation like taylor swift with scooter i don't know the full details of it but he paid for all the [ __ ] to

  • 1:29:25

to get produced he owned it legally i'm not going to just give it to you

  • 1:29:30

i understand that even pub [ __ ] with mace i looked i looked i've written read that up yo

  • 1:29:36

mesa saying y'all offered to buy it back for two mil i'm a businessman i'm not sure anything back for two minutes [ __ ]

  • 1:29:43

i don't mean it i'm just kidding just being just because just because you made me the offer of 2 mil don't mean it was

  • 1:29:50

a fair market offer we talked about this i don't have to accept it we talked about the [ __ ] where dame tried to buy

  • 1:29:55

the sell off his original piece of uh rockefeller yeah and

  • 1:30:01

he said hole tried to buy it off of him first he didn't like the offer so i'm gonna go sell it myself indeed just

  • 1:30:07

because an offer made i don't have anything that's a fair offense it's not a fail to accept it you might think i'm desperate and you could just give me

  • 1:30:13

whatever no you might think it's fair i don't think it's fair if you want to buy my house for a hundred grand i don't

  • 1:30:18

think my house is worth 100 grand i want 200 grand i understand i don't that's my only thing with the puff situation after reading more into

  • 1:30:25

it again you sign this contract and then there's some other [ __ ] i heard which i'm going to get into but you signed this contract

  • 1:30:31

just because you you disappeared and then you come back and say i want to make offer to buy my [ __ ] off damn [ __ ] out of here i know come come to me with

  • 1:30:38

50 million so my point in that situation is cool if that's going to be your stance that you signed a contract these

  • 1:30:46

are the legally binding terms of this agreement uh-huh that's it

  • 1:30:51

right uh-huh you can't say no no yes it is that's my opinion yes it is

  • 1:30:57

you can't say yo for tanking them putting words in our mouth i'm talking myself i know but you can't say yo for

  • 1:31:03

    tanking them they're contracting some [ __ ] but for these [ __ ] it's not you can't say that you can't say yo

  • 1:31:10

everything that we're saying in response to you is that it's circumstantial i know and you keep saying the

  • 1:31:16

circumstances are what particular person is doing the [ __ ] that's the circumstance no no it's what's being

  • 1:31:22

done that's not true okay i'm not taking diddy's side and and that but i'm just talking about that what's

  • 1:31:28

    done

  • 1:31:34

i'm talking about puff has had a bunch of artists on his labels that have complained a bunch it hasn't just been

  • 1:31:40

mace but it's been a bunch yes so again using joe's using joe's standard now when you

  • 1:31:46

got a bunch of [ __ ] up under you that are complaining where there's smoke there's fire

  • 1:31:52

so why the [ __ ] do we see the smoke in the fire for this guy but we don't see it for everybody which i have never in my life said when there's smoke this

  • 1:31:57

fight no i did i don't say that i did i said but you saying that contradicts

  • 1:32:03

me saying that it's all circumstantial you keep using puff as the blanket i was

  • 1:32:08

just using him as an example there's other [ __ ] in the industry that are doing [ __ ] [ __ ] i was just using use

  • 1:32:13

one of them don't use one of the people who they can prove their value to the project

  • 1:32:19

how you know he couldn't do that i'm not saying that he couldn't he

  • 1:32:24

didn't he didn't he didn't prove his value not to the artist they all took him to court

  • 1:32:31

joe you sound good what does that mean just because they took him sounds crazy right now got it you sound what does that mean

  • 1:32:38

i sound like i have 16 albums and mad music negotiations no comment sentence

  • 1:32:44

to other people common sense has nothing to do with music so what's telling us about what i'm saying you so so you're

  • 1:32:49

saying that the artist took him to court so that means he didn't have a value on their products that's not what i [ __ ]

  • 1:32:55

said that is exactly what you know the [ __ ] snacks so at any point that you want to actually listen to what the [ __ ]

  • 1:33:00

i'm saying exactly so you can stop just arguing a point no i didn't i said to the artist you did though let me talk

  • 1:33:06

then you did though go ahead are you done i'm done i said to the artist no he

  • 1:33:11

didn't prove his value to them because every one of them took him to court did they win that is what i said

  • 1:33:18

to them no they did no he didn't prove that i'm not talking about you or me or fans or what's really happening to the

  • 1:33:24

artist that he worked with no he didn't prove his value to them they all wanted him far to [ __ ] away for years for years

  • 1:33:30

forever no that's not the same with puff no it's not the same with all these other [ __ ] you want to keep bringing

  • 1:33:36

up that's your opinion that's all i'm talking about it's just my opinion i know so when i bring up my

  • 1:33:42

opinion you interject no you keep changing my words but go ahead i i use the analogy i said well there's

  • 1:33:48

smoke there's fire no you didn't say that i was paraphrasing and you said no i didn't say that i didn't say that no you didn't say that i

  • 1:33:54

said that his contracts are complicated the verbiage changes and once you find them it is binding period [ __ ] point

  • 1:34:01

    blank that's all i'm

  • 1:34:14

because like we said a child can't sign a contract okay let me make myself clear at no

  • 1:34:19

point am i asking y'all what y'all think the music industry is predatory to joe there's nothing that you all want to say

  • 1:34:25

here that changed my mind i agree with you on that i'm agreeing i agree hey i agree

  • 1:34:31

take whatever you want from hey it's okay the [ __ ] kid it's okay you signed it i don't care i'm telling y'all my

  • 1:34:37

experience and every experience that i read when in terms of predatory [ __ ] this falls under predatory i'm not

  • 1:34:44

    arguing

  • 1:34:52

wait wait but slow down and my stance on that don't change because i'm on the artistic side if you have a bad contract

  • 1:34:58

me joe i'm telling you joe budden practices not anybody else

  • 1:35:04

me if there's a contract you don't like rip it up because if you're an artist let me talk

  • 1:35:09

cause if you're artist you kind of got to be happy you your job and how you deliver

  • 1:35:17

you have to feel good about the morale if you value it see i'm an artist so i value that

  • 1:35:23

something wrong let's talk about let's do it over everybody ain't like that no that's where these situations come from

  • 1:35:29

because most artists don't know all that's in the con most correct like

  • 1:35:35

y'all arguing me about [ __ ] that's standard 90 of them don't know but you know what happens in the next year in

  • 1:35:41

the next two years they find out they find out or when they go try to do

  • 1:35:47

something and realize they can and when they find out they take the necessary course of action to try to change things

  • 1:35:53

muster just did an interview he was talking to gilly and he said listen man it's growing pains everybody got to get

  • 1:35:58

[ __ ] and you got to learn from it now you might not agree with that but in this business i talk about a music s.a.t all the time

  • 1:36:05

there it is unfortunately that is our music s.a.t we

  • 1:36:11

are agreeing you're going to come in and get [ __ ] how do you deal with getting [ __ ]

  • 1:36:17

i'm not listening to none of this [ __ ] amazing music by artists i love

  • 1:36:22

i buy my albums still saying i create my playlist still

  • 1:36:28

these little robbing thuggery stick up with no gun games that some of these old execs is playing this this

  • 1:36:35

ideology is over with is all i'm saying i'm not attacking him he could be the most bad hey ish to your

  • 1:36:41

point everything he did worked so you can't attack everything he did is standard back then

  • 1:36:47

i know that was that was the issue of music hey we about to move into de la soul and from there we're going to talk

  • 1:36:53

about puff starting the label my issue is all you [ __ ] that did [ __ ] [ __ ] back in the day as the standard i ain't

  • 1:36:59

mad it ain't the standard now correct i agree i agree you can't make it the standard now

  • 1:37:05

i don't care about this nah this ain't how we do things barry henkerson today

  • 1:37:10

you cut your deal with ghazi you do whatever you got to do fat in that pocket it's yours you

  • 1:37:16

created it but today [ __ ] ain't championing that oh nigga's mad at me because they think

  • 1:37:22

i robbed somebody i'm not disagreeing they're not that's not where we at that's not where we at today watch the

  • 1:37:27

jojo dock and tell me you signed it it's mining and if you could do that then i'm gonna give you a pound

  • 1:37:33

you you ill [ __ ] watch the britney doc and tell me she signed it it's binding

  • 1:37:38

it's different my passion for this is different i feel for it differently than you're going to feel about it brittany is a different situation

  • 1:37:44

because that that was court ordered you understand i'm saying the court ordered her father to have control of her [ __ ]

  • 1:37:51

    it's a different situation than a record label [ __ ] her it's a different situation oh i just pay

  • 1:37:56

attention to the word binding because once things are binding they're binding but binding for me don't change

  • 1:38:01

when she's a record label the court said something's behind it right but she wasn't in contract with a father

  • 1:38:07

they just put him there they made him the executor of her [ __ ] which is why my issue is with the word binding but again

  • 1:38:14

when we are in agreement if parks and i are in agreement parks is a man i'm a

  • 1:38:19

man he has his due diligence to do he could go hire his own attorney and look over it i can go hire my own attorney

  • 1:38:25

and look over it i gave you an opportunity to do your due diligence if you signed it you signed it if you got [ __ ] you got [ __ ]

  • 1:38:31

i'm not saying it's cool for somebody to [ __ ] anybody in business i'm not saying that we talk about this all the time

  • 1:38:37

what i'm saying monopoly true every time true when we do a deal we do a co-op

  • 1:38:42

deal that is true we laying it all out why because that one thing you don't lay

  • 1:38:47

out you getting [ __ ] opens up a door for a loophole and that's what happened and you learned

  • 1:38:53

    from me yep i haven't been [ __ ] by you in a deal i ain't really been [ __ ] by you i don't do that so but

  • 1:38:59

you learn from it yeah so you start trying to lay all that [ __ ] out in 60 seconds exactly and that's why i take pride in like saying

  • 1:39:06

i'm not in the music business to people like when they're trying to give me music it feels like i'm saying a bad thing but for me

  • 1:39:11

i'm so proud like some of this [ __ ] is so stupid this is stupid to me what is this all of

  • 1:39:17

this and this is common normal practice i just think it's desperation i think it's just desperation you're a broke

  • 1:39:22

person and somebody that's why it's predatory because music targets desperate people i'm just here i'm personally different to these car lots

  • 1:39:30

not predatory i'm saying that it is predatory across the board yes and

  • 1:39:35

across the board you look for people who don't know better and get them to sign a [ __ ] up payday loan all of this [ __ ]

  • 1:39:41

you look for people in [ __ ] up positions there you go and you give them something up front they don't know what they're giving you no they're all

  • 1:39:47

predators they don't care at that point i don't care just give me this what i want right here there you go i'm not

  • 1:39:53

thinking about the future until i realize oh [ __ ] i am [ __ ] the credit card with the 30 interest it allows me

  • 1:39:59

to buy some [ __ ] today today i don't know what it's gonna cost me that's all i care about is getting my

  • 1:40:04

[ __ ] today and then later on you're gonna crack me over my head with the fees and the interest and all the other [ __ ] goodbye

  • 1:40:10

but i don't care about that they'll buy a ten thousand dollar car with a 27 interest rate on it indeed

  • 1:40:16

so again it's it's all [ __ ] but again it's just how the cost of doing business is right

  • 1:40:22

in our generation right and it's it's knowing and not knowing that's that's what it is education that's all this all

  • 1:40:29

boils down to it but going and not knowing you're due dil i'm not agreeing with this

  • 1:40:35

i'm just saying you're due diligent it's just that it's yours to do exactly

  • 1:40:41

you're saying so you you'll listen to alias stuff and if i was a streaming person

  • 1:40:46

and i wanted to hear it absolutely again because again i i i just look at

  • 1:40:51

it you can't pick and choose yeah you can't pick and choose when you're on the side when you're on the side of the [ __ ]

  • 1:40:58

    yeah but if you're picking the like he said if you you pick it he's [ __ ] somebody he's [ __ ] somebody he's [ __ ] somebody and he's

  • 1:41:04

[ __ ] somebody he just wearing a condom and he well this actually kind of goes back to the accusation versus the reality thing like we talked about in uh

  • 1:41:11

the no no no no no because this is different because we have contracts right you get them saying like hey if i

  • 1:41:17

did something illegal or if i did something take me to court and win it right show it but that's not always the case

  • 1:41:24

either because now i got more money than you i could tie you up my attorneys is better than yours i could drag you in

  • 1:41:30

court for three or four years till you run broke also true you know what i'm saying like

  • 1:41:36

i heard uh uh donald trump one of his uh contractors say basically they was like

  • 1:41:43

yo take this settlement or not and said yo we got in-house counsel you got to hire an attorney we'll drag this

  • 1:41:49

[ __ ] so long that even if you win your attorney's going to get all the money you're going to get less than what we give you in the settlement phil my

  • 1:41:55

little my little brother just sued his former job and got some big-name attorney to

  • 1:42:00

represent him and when he told me about this [ __ ] i was like well you're not gonna win this he sent me the letter that his attorney sent to me was like

  • 1:42:07

listen the attorney was talking king [ __ ] yo look just settle because i'm gonna tie you

  • 1:42:12

all up in court for at least three years i'm gonna tell you now they're telling you and they settled when they looked at it like [ __ ] he's

  • 1:42:18

right he's like i'm gonna tie you up in court for the next three years and it's gonna cost you about and gave him a number

  • 1:42:24

mm-hmm and you could just settle before you could just settle and my brother called me like yo i won

  • 1:42:30

oh [ __ ] you won or you said well he got some money oh yeah so they settled yeah

  • 1:42:35

so again it's big bank take a little bank yeah oftentimes yeah a lot and not

  • 1:42:40

just the music business yeah and entertainment and a bunch of different entities

  • 1:42:46

of the state of the dock you don't say on any members can you talk about will

  • 1:42:52

    smith i'm never

  • 1:42:58

on enemies of the state it's a doc about uh a kid and his parents uh uh how they

  • 1:43:04

were targeted by the u.s government over the q anon just some secret fouls the

  • 1:43:09

dark dark web that the little kid had and the family had to move to russia then they moved over here and then they

  • 1:43:14

was looking like it was espionage and it was a whole big [ __ ] but at the end he settled spoiler alert the little boy

  • 1:43:20

he settled but he was saying i didn't do any of that but i mean if a jury heard all the [ __ ] that they

  • 1:43:26

was about to say what are you doing i'm out of here right same thing that great grant said

  • 1:43:33

right like absolutely what are you gonna do can we talk about that for a minute what cause that interview is going to

  • 1:43:39

come out this week i can't wait and i really can't wait dog what do you do

  • 1:43:46

they control the media they control what you hear what you don't hear we can't talk about green yet though what the

  • 1:43:52

[ __ ] do you do you are fighting an entity that's unbeatable i don't want to talk about grant i want to talk about [ __ ] ghost

  • 1:43:59

face killer being in this basement and nobody being none the wiser looking like total idiots and buffoons

  • 1:44:06

having to talk about our top 20 top 30 top 10 whatever in front of ghost days

  • 1:44:11

and not knowing that that was ghostface because he had a mask on we should have kept slimmer we should have really kept the [ __ ] running

  • 1:44:17

i should have kept him that was amazing like he sat down he sat down and jumped in his car yeah

  • 1:44:22

and we still didn't know it was him no i know what i was saying i didn't know it was him [ __ ] dapped me up and said ghost i'm like all right like i know it

  • 1:44:29

was him we were mad nigga's name

  • 1:44:39

you hearing his voice don't mean nothing to us like you build the houses you recognize that was ghost face alright

  • 1:44:44

cool parks we should not yeah no parks we should be alerted parks really yeah

  • 1:44:52

parks are standing there like this is outside if ghost space is coming to

  • 1:44:59

your house you should know you shouldn't know i have a red carpet somewhere that i could roll out yeah so with a w on it yeah

  • 1:45:06

like that yeah no that was that was crazy that was crazy nah but that was [ __ ] the rest of the night

  • 1:45:13

was crazy nah that was great though it's telling that we argue like that all the time

  • 1:45:18

we haven't had an argument in a long time though we haven't been a monopoly like that a long time but tell them why we haven't played monopoly long time

  • 1:45:25

so what else we got now doing this [ __ ] man yo it's over

  • 1:45:30

yes yes yes yes like officially yeah yeah yeah four-time champ me it's over

  • 1:45:38

four in a row even mike didn't do that he went to play baseball for me

  • 1:45:44

yeah yeah you got to tell them yeah fans don't be alarmed ish is my arguing friend we do that like casually quick and get

  • 1:45:51

right back to friendship no they do let me just yeah that's fine they do this [ __ ] it's fine we just argue we yeah we

  • 1:45:57

like it'd be [ __ ] that i love that about i don't even think they'd be as passionate about it i need you just like that one friend and you're

  • 1:46:04

that friend you two [ __ ] are this build hounds isn't gonna argue with me about the

  • 1:46:10

music contracts imagine me coming that's the wrong

  • 1:46:16

molding no you cannot build a bathroom like that you can't what are you doing

  • 1:46:23

glue that dealer just imagine that don't listen i think it would smack the [ __ ] out of me anyway

  • 1:46:33

no no no i don't have to get in their flowers first first i could address these [ __ ] [ __ ] that said i'm coming in here

  • 1:46:40

to cry about this they said i'm coming in here to give them some tears you got tears of joy queued up i'll get it if you guys get to

  • 1:46:47

talking i mean i get why they would say that why you were sad bro you cried you shed

  • 1:46:53

tears over the daylights the news when they first hit yeah but don't make the joke if you're not gonna believe that that's who i am see

  • 1:47:00

don't make that joke don't make the joke oh you cried over de la soul okay yes

  • 1:47:06

the person that cried over de la soul who i've never met

  • 1:47:12

their contracts on tv that person is probably not going to

  • 1:47:18

delos old [ __ ] not that guy and if he is

  • 1:47:25

darn good actor and most of y'all know i didn't get my daredevil role when i tried out

  • 1:47:30

i tried to get some acting gigs they gave them all to drake [ __ ] joey badass who else [ __ ] yachty's getting

  • 1:47:37

everybody getting them with me that ain't that great of an actor joey badass killer though by the way day live so i

  • 1:47:42

don't watch this show so i don't know it's good actually this [ __ ] is you haven't watched it yet no it's not a doc

  • 1:47:48

well or and they're not cocaine cowboys

  • 1:47:57

they shooting out they selling cocaine y'all don't have luxury eyes oh

  • 1:48:03

man you want to see 200 bricks you don't want to see 20. no i saw 200 bricks i saw power i've seen kanan i've seen

  • 1:48:08

scarface i've seen all the interpretations of the guys handling the drugs and what they have to deal with i

  • 1:48:13

mean how many times you just keep repackaging something for me i am going to watch bmf but i don't hear about how

  • 1:48:19

kanan grew up i don't care it's good so far everybody says it's good but they but

  • 1:48:24

they told me the last one was about to reek nah i wasn't that good that [ __ ] was all right it was all right it wasn't bad they were bad acting in there that's

  • 1:48:31

what i root for 50 cent because i like where he's going and what he's doing and i know what he has to

  • 1:48:38

i know the challenges i think i know some of the challenges that he has to come across and i root for that but

  • 1:48:43

outside of that like i'm happy for life got picked up by a different network like what they did i just like it they

  • 1:48:49

would like his business imdb picked it up one thing you don't have to if i make for life and we do two successful

  • 1:48:55

seasons on abc and abc says hey we good on y'all this is the ownership games back to the barry hankerson conversation

  • 1:49:02

hey i own for life there's 30 million other networks and places that this could go and live and

  • 1:49:08

we're going to continue this and that's just that on that so i do look forward to bmf but de la soul

  • 1:49:15

uh two years after the decades-long feud between de la soul and their former label tommy boy records went very public

  • 1:49:22

a resolution appears to have been reached and if the report is accurate which we've heard from de la soul it is

  • 1:49:27

now it officially puts the plugs in control of their own legacy taleb quality surfaced with the scoop

  • 1:49:33

after years of being taken advantage of by by the recording industry in the worst possible ways de la soul now owns

  • 1:49:40

all of the rights to their masters and is in full control of the amazing music that they have created round of applause

  • 1:49:46

for that another group that has

  • 1:49:52

stuck together and not been a part of no messy [ __ ] and this is why yeah yeah yeah yeah

  • 1:49:58

we talked about that yeah yeah but that's why i'm and that's why i fight with you it's they signed whatever they signed in 89 at some point the artist

  • 1:50:05

should get the right to fight back at some point it don't have to be the next year or next year but it shouldn't

  • 1:50:11

take daylight sold 30 to 35 40 years to renegotiate a proper contract it

  • 1:50:17

shouldn't have took me 20 years to get out of my publishing deal they recouped in year one off pump it up like why do

  • 1:50:24

you need the other 19. i signed it so i want to argue with y'all but i'm fighting

  • 1:50:29

i'm fighting i'm wit artists fighting when it's right now

  • 1:50:35

you got to live with the results if you do if you're fighting somebody that adds a lot of value to your situation now they're magically gone and you never

  • 1:50:41

caught another lick again then sorry what we all got to live with de la soul

  • 1:50:48

i couldn't be more happy for y'all i'm not gonna cry i did that already but i couldn't be more happy for y'all

  • 1:50:54

unfortunately for me that's half the battle it's half the battle good for you round of applause again

  • 1:51:01

now you young [ __ ] stupid ignorant [ __ ] out there now what are y'all gonna

  • 1:51:06

do [Applause] now what are y'all gonna do [ __ ] gonna stop talking to me about my

  • 1:51:12

hip hop how i move in hip hop what i do my views my plans my move nah now what

  • 1:51:17

y'all gonna do fans yeah now what hey go support appropriately

  • 1:51:52

    great for them that's three [ __ ] it's great for

  • 1:52:02

too many artists too many artists the the the fight probably i probably

  • 1:52:07

won't be alive to see the end of the fight between the artists and the machines

  • 1:52:12

but boy raging a machine has never felt more truthful than today congratulations to de la soul and the fight continues

  • 1:52:20

    hopefully the fans stream their [ __ ] listen to their [ __ ] learn their [ __ ] appreciate their [ __ ] find out why for

  • 1:52:27

so many old heads this was an important conversation yeah don't find out why so many of us stopped

  • 1:52:33

in our tracks and i expect that disconnect to be large because even in talking about the locks

  • 1:52:38

dip set up verses the disconnect was large it was a lot of y'all it was kids when when dip set was out and a lot of y'all

  • 1:52:45

the damn name wasn't boring when the lox was out what the [ __ ] am i talking to you [ __ ] about anything for about day

  • 1:53:16

congratulations to de la soul we love you job well done by the people with with our cries for help yeah beautiful

  • 1:53:22

thing to see and i'm sure somehow in here hey tommy boy doodles to you

  • 1:53:28

indeed toodles to you next podcast i'm coming in here to ask how billboard came up with their little list

  • 1:53:35

which list yeah which one that little 20 top power players whatever the [ __ ] they were talking about oh that's politics

  • 1:53:41

you know that you know yeah but i wish that i wish everything billboard puts out they would say yo it's politics in this yeah they say it by saying

  • 1:53:48

this is our list now i'ma say the next podcast by asking some questions that i think the billboard committee maybe

  • 1:53:53

should have asked to themselves i thought of something i'm not doing it now cause we later in our broadcast

  • 1:54:00

but billboard see that's why i love being retired no that right there

  • 1:54:07

look just that bad self-employed no no no no no but being retired you're

  • 1:54:12

tired i don't have you there's plenty of rappers that are self-employed but they can't say billboard what the [ __ ] are

  • 1:54:19

you doing nope because they got to play that game got to play yeah i like ain't no song

  • 1:54:24

    ain't got to talk to you i can tell you i think that's [ __ ] [ __ ] mm-hmm

  • 1:54:30

yeah it's like with the [ __ ] athletes when they get up there and start talking [ __ ] like yo i'm not in the game i ain't

  • 1:54:36

got to play nice with none of y'all [Music] got you um

  • 1:54:42

they put tom brady in the hall of fame we're not staying there but i watched that [ __ ] and felt like he

  • 1:54:47

should have had a double-breasted jacket wait time out what you mean peyton manning oh one of them

  • 1:54:54

they put one of them [ __ ] in i'm like tom brady just won the super bowl yeah you think peyton walsh is like one of the [ __ ] in there what are you doing

  • 1:55:00

somebody in there what the [ __ ] do you think he washes his legs i meant peyton manning but tom brady said he was going to the uh to the uh

  • 1:55:07

yeah he went to the uh ceremony to make sure that payment was retired i thought that was cute

  • 1:55:13

i thought that was pretty that's though and peyton manning has never said the wrong thing ever still no he's still acting still facts

  • 1:55:20

    him beyonce the rock

  • 1:55:26

those are my three oh [ __ ] what that never says anything incorrect

  • 1:55:33

never never never ever you don't even know nothing about these [ __ ]

  • 1:55:38

the people that are like global phenomenons well no nothing about it i don't know how the rock drinks is coffee

  • 1:55:44

yeah i don't know kendrick might be in that conversation too man of them it's a few of them he is yeah

  • 1:55:50

he keeps that level of mysticism like some people want to be in front of the camera let's not just brush over that what did

  • 1:55:57

    you say mysticism

  • 1:56:21

    [Music]

  • 1:56:34

that's not black excellent that [ __ ] white girl told him that [ __ ] and she used that [ __ ] on that argument

  • 1:56:44

    [Laughter]

  • 1:56:53

did he announce his plans to launch an r b only label he says we can own the genre because we

  • 1:56:59

damn sure don't own hip-hop right now yikes big facts huge

  • 1:57:05

i'm biased y'all talk no i think that's dope when he says that

  • 1:57:10

we don't own hip-hop does he mean bad boy no i think he means like the ownership

  • 1:57:16

okay like i don't know you know music ain't really my bag but who owns the labels

  • 1:57:21

not not us the record companies not the labels the companies he's saying that artists don't own music

  • 1:57:27

multinationals he's saying that artists and t-pain just went on a similar rant he said that last year music was responsible for like and i'm not don't

  • 1:57:33

quote me right now i'm freestyling 17 bill yeah it was only 17 billion exactly and

  • 1:57:38

he said that the artists made 12 of that all artists

  • 1:57:44

oh every genre every artist is the gazillion artist the artist made 12

  • 1:57:50

percent oh that is insane yeah yeah sick because of binding contracts

  • 1:57:57

    mm-hmm i'm not an m9 [ __ ] that yo but uh okay i wouldn't have thought

  • 1:58:03

it was that small of a percentage though i thought it was smaller yeah i thought that would be real i

  • 1:58:09

thought 12 was high uh diddy says and i'm not signing any artists because if you know better you

  • 1:58:14

do better i'm doing 50 50 partnerships with pure transparency that's the thing clapping the new label uh okay clap it

  • 1:58:22

up uh the new label is so that we can own the genre

  • 1:58:27

we don't own hip-hop right now we have a chance to and i'm going to make sure that we own rnb

  • 1:58:34

end quote oh he goes on to say i'm making the classics album will be the first release since 2015 um making money

  • 1:58:39

mitch mixtape the love era has already turned over a new leaf for the end of the year and chucky thompson was working on this

  • 1:58:46

project he was working on a puff project that's dropping in september that's right um

  • 1:58:52

i've been saying for weeks how i'm super excited about that one thing one thing he knows how to do no no no no

  • 1:58:58

puff has an ear for music music yo that [ __ ] could take us well take

  • 1:59:05

joe out us three in here and have us in a group and that [ __ ] will come out all right

  • 1:59:11

no [ __ ] that [ __ ] has an ear for music like no other everything would be like day

  • 1:59:17

    17. whose day would you be day nine day one [ __ ] day one

  • 1:59:24

see what you did i like that that's your new rap name now

  • 1:59:46

shout out to this label can't wait to see the army axe headed that way what i like about this

  • 1:59:52

and like he said in his statement if you know better you do better i i i love the acknowledge i was going to talk to you i

  • 1:59:57

was going to touch on it like listen i i did arguably some whatever shade whatever

  • 2:00:04

you want to call it i know better and i'm going to do better starting now

  • 2:00:09

i'm doing 50 50 partnerships with pure transparency though like that right there alone is

  • 2:00:15

he he should get another clap for that you should hit the little button thing i agree

  • 2:00:23

but when people do right i'm all for it right the wrongs dog you said 17 billion

  • 2:00:32

and only 12 went to the artist across all genres of music all the all music period dre might have a long day

  • 2:00:39

if puff get out of bed i'm standing by it i stand by it i i'm i'm standing with you [ __ ] you talking about [ __ ] but it

  • 2:00:44

ain't many with us on that yeah it's not it's not many with us you're bargaining i'm telling you something

  • 2:00:51

the rest of them it's just me and you really over here yes you sure don't look at parks don't look at it

  • 2:00:56

don't look at it don't look at what [ __ ] are you looking at him for i'm asking him he's his opinion oh okay

  • 2:01:02

puff has a long day with dre that's a that's a slug first bit

  • 2:01:07

puffs coming in with some punches no doubt oh all right now all right now i almost want to say

  • 2:01:13

something to make the west coast man i think puff might i think puff might be

  • 2:01:19

    right there

  • 2:01:26

i've learned my lesson so i ain't jumping out saying who won't mop nobody up disrespecting puff no i

  • 2:01:32

but i'm not going to disrespect you i'm not disrespecting drake dre is dre but to say he he'll get mopped and all of

  • 2:01:38

that i'm not saying that nobody knows what i said what'd you say what was your just saying joe he would have a long day

  • 2:01:45

dre both have a long day dre got a pack of lunch that ain't no easy win if he wins i don't think it's an easy

  • 2:01:52

win on either side i think dre has a longer day i think drake has a longer day too he might not get in i think he

  • 2:01:57

takes more tylenol that day yeah i agree i know i don't and i'm not

  • 2:02:03

never going to disrespect either one of them [ __ ] saw them shut up i'm mine in my business they both are who they are i know but one has r b in a wheelhouse and

  • 2:02:09

one don't really and that's what separates it from me they could both be hip-hop heavyweights but jodeci gonna come on at some point

  • 2:02:16

and you're gonna play nate doll mm-hmm different body and that one twelve hit or yeah

  • 2:02:22

or total's gonna hit or down or joe does he come on and he go play some

  • 2:02:27

hard [ __ ] because we've seen that happen we've seen it's who dick takes the narrative you can go that bad my bag is

  • 2:02:34

deeper here i'm not letting you get me out of this and i'm gonna hard record classic anthem you upside

  • 2:02:40

your [ __ ] head yeah i was thinking about this this morning off of this puff dress [ __ ] dip set

  • 2:02:45

bobby brown and neo and teddy riley i can't believe it went that way before

  • 2:02:52

yeah no neo didn't get my and fabulous for me i can't believe that one still kneeling

  • 2:02:58

    oh and fat

  • 2:03:25

    you ever seen a migraine i didn't

  • 2:03:43

    [Music]

  • 2:03:54

was delayed going back to wherever i hold that though give him some time to think just have some more time in new

  • 2:04:00

york get out of here [ __ ] no i i hey make your trip out of new york [ __ ] stressful now the priest

  • 2:04:07

delay that [ __ ] presentation matters like keith sweat was up there looking like he was

  • 2:04:12

in the gymnast two hours before the show nice way to put it you know what i'm saying

  • 2:04:18

like you just [ __ ] your aunt yeah came out there swaggylicious now you're

  • 2:04:23

on open off them probably one day i'm gonna talk about that yeah some of y'all [ __ ] aren't to be on me

  • 2:04:30

then i'll be feeling bad that's right yo you're gonna hit that toe all right no we'll say this i'm

  • 2:04:36

    saying this for [Laughter]

  • 2:04:44

yo what's wrong you you better not have talked to your mother about friends i thought of my mom

  • 2:04:49

about everything i know not her friends joey yo i'm kidding um all right we

  • 2:04:55

offered diddy congratulations can't wait to see the artists that uh end up on this label did he knows how to make albums so we'll see yeah um

  • 2:05:03

all right the baby took his apology back it didn't work

  • 2:05:09

did he officially or he just deleted it how else do you take apology that's official yeah

  • 2:05:15

    i put this out y'all still killing me all right man [ __ ] this get my apology back i mean that [ __ ] no way [ __ ] y'all

  • 2:05:22

i mean oh [ __ ] that's they took them off some records yeah right yeah no all the

  • 2:05:28

records oh no not some is this almonds they took him off of everything [ __ ]

  • 2:05:35

dooley i did i did read it and that's my issue i read an explanation as to why this happened and he

  • 2:05:41

they said it wasn't he just the gays so they took him off every day no

  • 2:05:56

    [Music]

  • 2:06:03

and the remix drops it drops down in the chart they they switch it

  • 2:06:08

this has happened to someone else i believe it was um nikki was taken off of a credit and it

  • 2:06:13

wasn't people got upset and they explained why it's like yo the original is doing better than the remix is so we

  • 2:06:20

    switch it out um i shut the [ __ ] up i'm telling you what the explanation says you're a [ __ ]

  • 2:06:26

what are they calling you're an apologist for something i didn't apologize any time the word no

  • 2:06:32

but when the word apologist is behind something oh buddy just turn your wi-fi off

  • 2:06:40

all right this dude libra song is five years old [ __ ] shut up shut up no no i'm telling you what they

  • 2:06:47

said not me they are liars definitely liars he offended the gays

  • 2:06:53

do a [ __ ] a girl so she's not with it the end hey somebody else took him off a

  • 2:07:00

record somebody else took him off some [ __ ] who was it i don't know who else took him off oh i don't know oh kanye kanye took himself

  • 2:07:06

off of the no he pulled the song off pulled this song off for some [ __ ] i never heard i don't listen to none of you [ __ ] it was the reason i care what

  • 2:07:13

y'all are pulling off to which one nah nah nah with two chains i didn't even know a na na na song was out see like he

  • 2:07:20

pulled it off yesterday only nine i know it's ill no no i think there's a new ill

  • 2:07:29

all right took it off yeah he pulled that off the esp's wow yeah wow you heard he said

  • 2:07:36

that's my problem with streaming though not for nothing oh tell us

  • 2:07:46

no i'm gonna tell you no move i'm gonna you know listen up

  • 2:07:53

that's my problem with streaming though is if i if i have this record downloaded in

  • 2:07:59

my phone from a dsp and then you decide yo i don't want this song out no more

  • 2:08:05

for whatever reason oh now that record is now pulled away i don't have that anymore i can't listen

  • 2:08:12

to the song anymore it's over you're borrowing the song yeah you're renting music that's my beef

  • 2:08:17

with streaming you don't own this music you're not yo i got this downloaded on my phone no you are renting songs i'm paying each of

  • 2:08:24

you streaming platforms for what you allow me to listen to mm-hmm yeah there was that thing where

  • 2:08:30

if you weren't wasn't hooked up to wi-fi you couldn't even stream a song yeah yeah like they put a whole lot of

  • 2:08:37

roadblocks i was trying to instalive over the weekend and just jam out play some music with the people they cut that [ __ ] down 90 times they cut your insta

  • 2:08:44

live they're gonna cut your hands alive hey they're gonna cut your instalive you can't play music i put the little thing

  • 2:08:51

hey i don't own any of this stuff i tried to talk over it i meant it because that's your riddle really that's what we are now man it's

  • 2:08:57

the new age monopoly going on yeah with music that's why this ownership talk is important because

  • 2:09:02

of what you can do with ownership that's why so they own it they do what they want that's that on that uh

  • 2:09:09

my advice to people and i'm gonna say this until i'm blue in the face and i will continue to say this

  • 2:09:15

buy your music build your libraries man because yo when they decide

  • 2:09:20

no this record is gone when they decide they stop doing [ __ ] for the look how about how about that well everything is

  • 2:09:26

saying is right i'm adding to that stop y'all stop doing [ __ ] for the look like what you mean i get it i don't know who

  • 2:09:32

the [ __ ] is do aleppo to talk about the baby anything i am positive that the label damn there

  • 2:09:37

begged the baby to jump on one of these dual leaper records to get some proper promotion probably marketing hood [ __ ]

  • 2:09:43

none of these do a leap of records even sound like the baby should be on it but it's marketing it's the game if you play the game it's the game and now here you

  • 2:09:49

go because it was just the game it's getting him off my song

  • 2:09:55

but again oh my god and i understand that because i might not even be doing well she's saying it from her twitter

  • 2:10:01

from her everything versus uh who's the other little uh clout chasing white girl i used to say

  • 2:10:07

was cloud chaser miley cyrus who said uh hey i'm a part of that community he was

  • 2:10:13

ignorant we need to speak to him let's educate him hey reach out to me if you wanna kick it that's what she said

  • 2:10:18

that's dope yeah i like that super dope said that that's dude no she said that she said that so and that's that on that uh moving on

  • 2:10:25

move moving moving right along uh is there anything else we need to touch here pause

  • 2:10:31

yo i don't know who needs to hear this kanye's not dropping anything on august 15th or 16th or 17th

  • 2:10:40

august yeah you're dropping down in august what'd you think about this uh

  • 2:10:46

uh don c and chubb's little back and forth i see what they're doing now now i understand cons his tweet a little more

  • 2:10:51

i understand karen's comment a little more and i see what's going on here i see what's going on can i say it say it everything's a rollout

  • 2:11:00

now these two dudes i could see feeling like they could use each other because these are two of the most

  • 2:11:06

we could use them dudes that we have a drake fan drake's a kanye fan like i

  • 2:11:12

get it i don't think either one of them needs it but i do think that they wanted to be

  • 2:11:17

friends with each other past their disputes so i'm happy to see it but

  • 2:11:22

the writing's on the wall i don't know who's on whose album i don't know if drake is on kanye's album or kanye is on

  • 2:11:28

drake's album or both or both both are on each other's albums both of

  • 2:11:33

these albums don't have a single maybe at some point the single for both albums features both artists allegedly

  • 2:11:40

the single for kanye's album is the weeknd and little baby record um i've

  • 2:11:46

read somewhere that it actually came out in japan whether it be by mistake or what it was

  • 2:11:51

on it was available but i could see drake hopping on there and smoking all of them we can baby [ __ ] kanye anybody on there i could

  • 2:11:57
