  • 2:26

could cancel who's taking time stamps we all are working together oh yeah we're camping

  • 2:33

welcome to the last episode of the jvp 542 we made it now on this r b bracket

  • 2:39

that's running around i have no issue with any of it it was uh part of my interruption it was group or uh solo or

  • 2:46

mixed uh think they were they were doing groups

  • 2:51

uh new addition one all of the ones that i saw now uh another question sorry to interrupt

  • 2:57

again time frame was this from here it is boys to members new addition and condition versus high

  • 3:03

five silk versus h town black street versus guy okay now this is this is modern we have joe to see tony tony tony

  • 3:09

112 versus after seven drew hill versus bellevue devote jagged edge versus next

  • 3:15

now everybody made their own bracket but on a lot of the ones i saw it's corrected

  • 3:20

here they had guy beating black streak no

  • 3:26

and i don't know about that it pains me to say

  • 3:32

i don't think that's true y'all know i'm on the other side of that coin of course you are

  • 3:38

okay why this guy see and i need more i need more than

  • 3:44

that that's the same thing i did when i realized i dominated that's disrespectful the guy it feels like off

  • 3:49

name recognition no god dominated the 90s no they didn't okay no they did not have you so

  • 3:55

dominate they didn't dominate the 90s at all their biggest hits came in the late 80s

  • 4:02

what was the new jack swing ever late 80s very early 90s i like to say 80.

  • 4:09

80s record yo good by love is a 90s record goodbye love didn't dominate anything you watch

  • 4:15

them uh what did they dominate okay we could have a disagreement but piece of my love fantasy

  • 4:21

i like and less chill are 80s records none of those records are in the 90s

  • 4:27

and that got to be real late 80s let me check 88.89 i don't know about that but well we'll look it up but as we continue

  • 4:33

to talk and those are their four biggest records

  • 4:38

how do they get black street out here part of my ignorance i know i'm from the generation that is supposed to agree

  • 4:43

with this but i don't uh i like was 88

  • 4:50

let's chill was uh this is good re-release so they don't have the uh proper release date on it

  • 4:58

piece of my love was also 88. that guy album was 1988 then the next

  • 5:04

album was 90. yo those two albums crazy but to say they dominated the 90s so that's

  • 5:11

incorrect we don't have to stay on that party's incorrect but black street

  • 5:16

their run might not have been the longest either but i'm picking these black street

  • 5:22

records i'm going black street maybe it could be age just off the strength of uh before i let you go

  • 5:28

joy no dignity don't leave me tonight's the night i love money can't buy me love like they

  • 5:35

just got more records i love than guy and that sounds [ __ ] up

  • 5:40

    but it's true i don't it don't sound [ __ ] up to me i'm rolling

  • 5:46

and guy don't be black street in the verses i mean it's a hard version yeah because

  • 5:53

there's a little teddy bear center of the group yeah okay and i i think that you can go on

  • 5:59

i think teddy riley is one of the greatest he is keep going so i think that he can make something

  • 6:04

really great and then go on and make something greater true i'm not just now i maybe

  • 6:10

i will never say that black street has had the impact that guys have no i won't say that

  • 6:15

because guy i think influenced black street jodeci and them too the rest of

  • 6:20

them but yeah i'm rolling blackstreet uh what's going on what do you want to start with what do you want to talk

  • 6:26

about energy up what's up what's happening well you went to summer jam this weekend how'd it go

  • 6:32

oh let me hit the drops i don't think i did that right and parks just will not fix these drops

  • 6:40

[Laughter] there's parks this is this park

  • 6:46

uh [Music] uh i did go to summer jam

  • 6:54

kinda like a summer jam of jace would you check out the parking lot uh so saturday

  • 7:00

this is what i realized when i don't have my kid i don't know what to do with my life

  • 7:05

more as hell yeah i'm at the age right where all of my friends

  • 7:12

are 40 and 45 years into their lives as well 38 years into their lives

  • 7:18

    things got families kids responsibilities

  • 7:24

new marriages houses like there really is nobody to call up and say hey you

  • 7:30

want to run to the beach real quick unless it's a thotty

  • 7:35

alex you're good and that's a dangerous game when you

  • 7:42

just or through the roller decks of thotties for your saturday so i just go up the street

  • 7:47

uh get a little brunch at the local bar uh i happen to see ebro okay there right

  • 7:55

uh the audience doesn't know but we thought about going to actually work summer jam for a second

  • 8:00

that didn't work out so last minute so yeah yeah great idea but two last minute uh so when i saw ebro he said hey you

  • 8:07

should just come and hang out and i said well i never even thought about that that didn't even enter my brain as like

  • 8:13

an option right so sunday came and i wasn't doing a thing so i hop up pretty early around

  • 8:21

three o'clock let's say and i run over there now summer jam doesn't start till six i didn't really realize i was gonna go

  • 8:26

two but it was supposed to rain so i was like you know festival stage early yeah but even that was i felt like later

  • 8:32

that i felt like it used to start earlier 3 30. but i could be wrong festival stage is early summer jam starts

  • 8:39

six and they're gonna run late so you're thinking seven seven thirty eight something like that yeah so i get there

  • 8:44

at three and i'm just roaming around by myself

  • 8:50

none but police they're setting up like a lot of police i'm sure and

  • 8:56

traffic because people are getting ready to come to summer jam yeah so i was wandering like a lost little

  • 9:02

yorkie for a little while and then i see ibra and now now i end up on the stage now i'm on stage

  • 9:08

while people are rapping or it's still set up no i'm the only one here

  • 9:13

the outside i wasn't nowhere near festivals that took a little walk no the main

  • 9:19

stage okay so you went inside it's just me that's hilarious there's no audience drinking a coffee on stage

  • 9:26

you'll never go in that early period even if you don't even without a pass i know but this is media joe now still

  • 9:34

huh you start no no no no no no no ibra asked me that same thing no i don't i don't see stages or or people performing

  • 9:41

and start missing it and getting the style i don't know i don't i love when y'all tell me about me y'all

  • 9:47

explain because i just saw you repost a a video that somebody put up of you

  • 9:53

performing on stage like damn kind of missed those but i just know how much i didn't say that she said that i know those weren't my words

  • 9:59

i'd have to go look but i didn't say that those are her words i know how much you liked performing when it was the right situation and i find it hard to

  • 10:06

believe that you didn't you don't miss that on some level i don't

  • 10:11

interesting rapping no we've had this talk here before i'm not getting into

  • 10:17

that bag again but [ __ ] stinging them songs was depressing and sad and it was mad words

  • 10:22

well that's why i said in the uh you know some of the some of the fun when we were doing the shorter fun set i

  • 10:28

feel like you would you would enjoy that and i got oh i want to age i don't want to keep hopping around on stage

  • 10:34

i don't that's me i'm not saying that people are not having fun but anyway i'm just sitting on an empty stage

  • 10:40

uh and then i bump into nessa who works at hot 97 and colin kaepernick nice her

  • 10:46

significant other and then we get to chopping it up and the hebrew comes and then ebro says hey do you all want to go

  • 10:53

see cardi at the festival stage well sure bro i ain't doing [ __ ] but sitting here

  • 10:58

doing nothing and i thought that that meant that we would go to like her trailer

  • 11:04

no that's not what he meant and the festival stage is mad far over

  • 11:09

there no golf club you got to get through like other levels of security they're not

  • 11:15

respecting the all access just a lot going on but we finally get over there and it's a mess

  • 11:21

a million people with cameras and phones and words and

  • 11:26

questions eyes staring all at you hey can i get a pic hey i was in third grade with your

  • 11:34

nephew hey i think your mom knows my aunt they grew up in your dog i don't give a [ __ ]

  • 11:41

about any of this i'm only back here to see cardi know i saw

  • 11:47

everybody else so saucy santana i saw belov

  • 11:53

i saw fresher right but then cardi comes on and a long story

  • 11:58

less long cardi wasn't on the show she wasn't on she was not on summer jam main stage no

  • 12:04

she wasn't booked wasn't supposed to be there she just came out to do the festival stage uh

  • 12:10

and get it uh and get out of here be love was performing she popped up with him got the [ __ ] out of here i

  • 12:16

thought that that was the flyest [ __ ] in the world and when i asked her about it she said

  • 12:22

well i just always felt like the festival stage was the lit stage and [ __ ] did used to kind of feel like

  • 12:27

that a little bit but you wanted the bigger look of course so you did summer jam but when you big enough

  • 12:33

you just do what the [ __ ] you want yeah that's that's what made this so dope to me like

  • 12:38

cardi could have gotten brought out by damn near anybody on that main stage no question but she's not somebody she's buying

  • 12:44

these cars that's what i'm saying but you you do it to the festival stage an artist of her

  • 12:51

stature that just me that's super dope we talk about people getting too big and scared to not scared but they don't give back

  • 12:58

necessarily too facts the smaller you'd never see this you've never seen a super duper star never see this yes go do

  • 13:04

something never well that was my other point standing back there just observing it was a stark reminder

  • 13:11

that this girl is really her yo nah she no question i mean we know that

  • 13:16

but when you see it in action around other artists at a festival

  • 13:22

right like you forget how big of a production summer jam is there's a lot of people there working there's police

  • 13:28

there's fans it's media it's just a lot going on some people when they come the crowd

  • 13:33

just gotta move like moses so to see that i just be proud of her

  • 13:38

man super happy for cardi i want to shout out ebro thank him uh

  • 13:44

i want to shout out uh colin nessa for making that a great time while my anxiety and my angst was

  • 13:51

running rampant but anyway once cardi got off that stage and she left

  • 13:57

i left was it for you yes that's no fun you mean like left

  • 14:03

i went home oh man you missed a hell of a show i'm sure i heard it was great i saw a lot of

  • 14:08

clips i saw a lot of footage but just the way i'm built and made up my brain told me oh this is only going to get

  • 14:15

more congested no question and more packed and then i thought back to me being an artist at summer jam

  • 14:21

remembering how it is when the artists run in their whole entourage only this amount

  • 14:28

of time to get to the stage perform get out you seeing people your handshaking traffic cops are going to get even more

  • 14:34

aggressive soon i want to go i don't do well in them instances many people tell you they are introvert and

  • 14:40

they are [ __ ] liars i really mean it when i say it and i'd rather be home check this out

  • 14:46

i went to summer jam too from the comfort of my home in the oculus inside verse outside all right

  • 14:51

all right all right hey they actually the topic that won't die

  • 14:57

they actually had the summer jam stream live in the oculus see i was mad cause i was trying to i was kind of banking on

  • 15:02

the stream i was going to go because a couple of rems friends were going she wanted to go i was like [ __ ] let's go but it was supposed to rain i was like

  • 15:08

[ __ ] stay home and watch the stream couldn't find the stream for the life title used to have it and then over here

  • 15:15

apparently they had their own stream on their site that they sold i wish i would have known that i didn't know that either genius that's

  • 15:21

smart i follow a lot of hot 97 people and i didn't see anybody mention that so somebody sent me a a a graphic like yo

  • 15:29

we really got summer jam in the metaverse and i'm like okay i want to see what this is about probably nice we're gonna have to turn

  • 15:35

the air on in this place oh damn i thought it was on but um

  • 15:40

yeah you you literally you're damn near on stage that's dope yeah right in front of this is amazing

  • 15:48

like there was there were three camera angles you had and you were just about standing

  • 15:53

on like standing right in front of whoever's performing on stage looking left and right and the entire show i mean the only

  • 15:59

thing where i don't know if it was a mess up it was a time a lot of this thing allowance all right so give me your take

  • 16:04

away from summon jam um little dirk is him

  • 16:10

like i was wondering i didn't know how the lineup was gonna go i know little baby was on it and i knew a little dirk was on it yeah so i was

  • 16:16

wondering who would go first i've never seen either one of them perform live so i was just wanting to

  • 16:23

see their shows their sets dirk is a straight-up rock star

  • 16:29

and it was it was wow like he went through his

  • 16:34

from four projects ago up to current records brought out guests brought out french it's new york right

  • 16:41

not mad at it and was signed to him previously uh brought out his crew they did records he you know did a vine

  • 16:46

record did uh back in blood yes ish yeah yeah i was in there

  • 16:53

i know he was but the guy goes on wilin excuse me yeah the guy goes on wildin oh yeah

  • 16:59

the goggles on it was it was

  • 17:05

it was just an experience to be like i felt like i was there but i'm still in the house like i don't have to worry

  • 17:10

about traffic fights nothing and i got a better view than all y'all

  • 17:16

for free that [ __ ] about to make mad brett when they start really feeling like because he just said yo i have to be

  • 17:22

there i got the real show from the comfort of my home with them things on

  • 17:28

i mean it's a it's a real show but it's it's a closet why is it not the real show there's something about being in a

  • 17:35

room of people man it's it's a different stop it we're not getting back we're not getting back ice enjoyed his

  • 17:42

oculus show yeah what's happening there all these people enjoying it now one thing i wanted to ask y'all

  • 17:50

and the the stream messed up because uh it cut before fabio set that's why

  • 17:55

and when he came out he had on a crown and he had on a cape that said kanga new york city okay he's embracing it

  • 18:02

and i want to ask what y'all thought about that do y'all think he is the king of new york city today at my big age i will not get into that

  • 18:10

because i don't care like i know what they mean when they say it and what they're trying to do

  • 18:15

like what is that i still am unclear on what king of new york is

  • 18:20

well it's always been the hottest artist in new york that's kind of how it went from a whole

  • 18:27

i mean from big to hove to then when 50 says new york's mine i have never put

  • 18:33

put a claim on i haven't never had this i'm the king i have never given that title to anyone outside of biggie and

  • 18:39

hope when 50 came and was hot i never said he's the king of new york when john came and was hot i never said he's the king

  • 18:45

of new york when fab had his run i never said he's the king of new york that's because

  • 18:50

hope was still hove you can't say the king of new york while hope is still hovering i just don't put

  • 18:55

king of new york on the hottest i don't put king of anywhere on the house what are you doing in your community

  • 19:01

like there's a bunch of things that i could attribute to why someone is calling them the king favio most would

  • 19:07

say you can't sell that amount of records and be the king of new york but i'm not going off that when he says it

  • 19:13

    it's a feeling it's a feeling it's a feeling the whole city's behind hottest in new york that's

  • 19:18

debatable i mean i don't know like they were saying like even he said you know pop pop smoke was the king of

  • 19:24

new york and now he's not here it's mine yeah he said that uh

  • 19:29

yeah but [ __ ] just be saying whatever on these records pom smoke was here for how many years

  • 19:34

but unfortunately joe that's what it takes you say something on the record and start moving like you believe it and the fans will treat it as fact

  • 19:41

i've seen it happen plenty of times that's why i started with i don't engage in this because i know why they do it

  • 19:47

that's why they do it you are absolutely right if i say it enough times the fans have rallied behind it it might become

  • 19:52

fat tia said he was the king of the south and everybody had a problem with it but

  • 19:58

he started behaving like the king of the south and it stuck wayne said greatest rapper alive and people were saying no you're not this

  • 20:03

person this person but he started behaving like it and it's stuck talk to me about the [ __ ] that has perks that come along with it

  • 20:09

like these self-imposed titles i think you have to self-impose the title though

  • 20:15

that's not true you have to to my mother this is all marketing [ __ ] you have to

  • 20:21

you gotta self-impose the title and then back it up but if you don't self-impose the title they're not gonna just

  • 20:26

    crown you some [ __ ] she i mean i disagree i think i think that

  • 20:33

you could be on such of a run and you could be so impactful that somebody else can say yo he's such a touch or she's such a sucker

  • 20:39

    but [ __ ] don't say it you gotta say it and make [ __ ] believe it [ __ ] ain't giving props out yo he's

  • 20:45

him especially not your peers she that that's when you really are out here

  • 20:51

moving give me an example that somebody where the peers said this outside of when the west announced kendrick as the

  • 20:57

next up that's the only time i've seen annoying

  • 21:06

outside of kendrick being anointed when snoop and all of them came together and put the crown on his head that don't

  • 21:12

happen you got to snatch that title and then back it up and then it and then

  • 21:18

what do you get i get where joe's going what is what is what does it get you then what is what

  • 21:24

is the purge all right i said i'm the king of new york i backed it up sold a lot of records mad dudes believe me now what

  • 21:30

    damn i don't know you thought this [ __ ] goes this silly hip-hop [ __ ] i don't care hip-hop call yourself what you want

  • 21:37

i don't care about that no it's a little bit so we've unpacked this

  • 21:42

so just so i'm clear we can get off of this yeah i agree or disagree with that title that's all i was asking

  • 21:47

with him saying i am the king of new york do you agree or disagree i agree sure

  • 21:55

no but when anybody says it it's like with a little bit of he buying it was like okay cool

  • 22:03

i'm trying to think who else would be in the in the running 69 said it and none of these [ __ ] could say nothing because he was the hottest [ __ ] in new

  • 22:09

york and that's why he said it but who acknowledged him that he didn't have see those other boxes the respect amongst

  • 22:15

your peers uh the the the you know just everything that comes with

  • 22:21

it i'm not talking about that next time right now so were there any other uh performances that were

  • 22:27

yeah yeah um i watched pusha t go on there and

  • 22:32

while i loved the records he performed yeah it felt like summer jam wasn't him and benny i just felt like that's not

  • 22:38

the crowd for them for some reason well i mean it's a it's a radio uh radio centric performance and they're not

  • 22:44

necessarily radio guys but push has radio records he did historically he did his new records push looks great go push

  • 22:50

and then went into like he did mercy he did a i don't like he even finished with grinding okay but

  • 22:57

the crowd was just like it was it was really a it was a dead crap if i go anywhere with those three

  • 23:03

records and it don't pop off it's definitely the crowd sport i feel you i can go anywhere in the

  • 23:08

world with dump three records and feel like i'm strapped yeah not not a young summer gym crowd i don't

  • 23:15

know about them 26 year olds i'm sorry ain't gonna hit like that it's still grinding i know but it's

  • 23:21

still ain't going to grind into them i'm doing grinding if it's in my opinion you should and they might not bop

  • 23:29

but it's grinding correct would you rather grind and be erased from the history of of course not you

  • 23:36

got to do grinding and he got he could get in his chief keef bag like he got it that's what i'm

  • 23:41

saying he got records he could get into for the young [ __ ] but and also they did the k-slate tribute

  • 23:47

okay and it was um rest in peace okay uh busta rhymes and split star came out

  • 23:53

first dope papoose for the touch it removed shout out to pat that joe remy nice

  • 24:00

d block the set the set the set which is

  • 24:05

jim jones and joelle santana uh okay that's a thing

  • 24:12

apparently i have my theories and i'll leave it alone

  • 24:19

so no the hell that mother too should have did look how simple that is

  • 24:25

i have my theories why couldn't you do that anyway

  • 24:30

the how so governor's ball is saturday roddy rich gets arrested at governor's ball

  • 24:36

checkpoint weapons in the car you're coming with us they didn't just take him they took him and a few of his associates as well

  • 24:42

roddy roddy rich was released try saying that four times fast

  • 24:49

roddy rich was released in time to be at summer jam that's what's up

  • 24:54

and he goes on stage and tells the crowd to say nypd can suck my dick

  • 25:03

know what the crowd did exactly what they should have they said nypd can suck

  • 25:08

my attic now the crowd wasn't just released on bell the day before the crowd may or may not

  • 25:15

be fighting charges along with their buddies they're just screaming some [ __ ] for fun we got to get into what artists scream at the front of the stage and why

  • 25:22

you do it and you said that i can't say these presents all of us have done this

  • 25:28

although it wasn't nypd i guess huh the uh police at summer jam was not

  • 25:33

nypd but i mean so what that's true it's the game that is not true i mean it

  • 25:38

is true but the game is again it matters you think they're not going to try and jam him up the first chance they get for

  • 25:44

going out there and screaming [ __ ] any cop anywhere he could have said [ __ ] chicago cops and

  • 25:49

the cops out here would have a problem with it yeah and just why would you do it i know

  • 25:57

i've done it before i'm sure but why

  • 26:02

probably not the wisest thing there's so many things the crowd can say

  • 26:08

though yo again whatever happened to good old everybody wave your hands from

  • 26:14

scientists why won't they say oh yeah

  • 26:20

yeah you got more 100 dollars you pocket with it like anything dog and then we'll come in here

  • 26:27

if they crack his [ __ ] muffin we gonna come in here and get mad

  • 26:32

at the courts fair money don't make you impenetrable

  • 26:37

especially to um your man john law them [ __ ] we got it out for you

  • 26:43

now you got to come back that's what you're on bail you gotta come back we'll see you later yeah yeah yeah you gotta come back holla at me know what else i

  • 26:49

notice about summer jam and just you playing that rowdy rich clip right there just kind of reminded me

  • 26:54

do you artists understand that this is june everybody had leather on

  • 27:01

and i've seen this something's never changed i'm not mad at that you ain't swaggy with the young boys they swaggy

  • 27:06

they sweating they so they got they got that's hating it that's hate yeah that might be him it's

  • 27:11

hot it's summer but you gotta get fly no no no he wasn't even that high thank you alex

  • 27:18

he just started matching the turquoise he don't know about when he don't know about the leather when his hideout yeah yeah i don't

  • 27:24

know right no you're right okay my bad you wanted to be my shorts i'm not wearing i'm not wearing the

  • 27:29

leather you want him in the hoochie daddy the top and the box come on dogs alex it's hot yeah get him nah that's fly

  • 27:36

come on okay salute king part of fashion is sacrifice and comfort that is part of fashion it does and it has been oh

  • 27:44

you're on the floor on the conference yeah it's coming it's coming it's coming up i'm on the comfort zone it's coming for you we'll get there you change i ice

  • 27:51

i change every day it's coming right y'all see the new name it's coming uh we had a young thug uh

  • 27:57

message from behind bars i read uh the gunner one the letter yeah the gunner one was kind of profound

  • 28:03

what was it he wrote a letter it was a two-page letter basically that he put out i think it was his birthday

  • 28:10

is that what it was i know he wrote a letter basically saying the people that know me know me is this the letter yeah

  • 28:15

2022 has been one of the best years of my life despite this difficult situation this year i had the whole world pushing

  • 28:21

p growing up from where i come from in a marginalized neighborhood i never dreamt my art would change my life and the

  • 28:27

lives of my loved ones my entire life i've seen black men black women and black children constantly attacked hated

  • 28:34

murdered berated belittled silenced judged used and held captive

  • 28:40

i used my art form my gift from god to change my circumstance i worked i owned

  • 28:45

my craft i worked i empowered black women in my industry i worked i lived in

  • 28:50

the recording studio i worked i lived on the road i worked i worked every day to

  • 28:55

show how grateful i am for my gift for my art for my life and to be able to provide for my loved ones for now

  • 29:01

i do not have my freedom but i am innocent i'm being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my

  • 29:07

name oh there's more the picture that is being painted of me

  • 29:13

is ugly and untrue my fans know i love to celebrate life i love my family i love travel i love music i love my fans

  • 29:20

i have all faith that god will grant me justice for the purity in my heart and the innocence of my actions

  • 29:26

that's blah blah blah okay i get it i understand

  • 29:32

and this was released when i'm assuming yes i think it was today yeah well yesterday yesterday according

  • 29:38

to tuesday you know what tends to happen yo um especially with these young dudes

  • 29:44

because of the the content of the music we really kind of don't humanize them facts like that's that's somebody's son

  • 29:51

    you feel what i'm saying like that's somebody's kid that's somebody's son i don't know if they're innocent i don't know if they're guilty don't i'm not

  • 29:57

even going down that path i'm just saying at the end of the day when he breaks it down like this you look at him

  • 30:02

differently like yo this is this is somebody's brother somebody's cousin you know what i'm saying and when

  • 30:07

superstardom we've kind of forget that celebrities are people even the [ __ ] that they say on the blogs like

  • 30:14

about you or your family or like they don't give a [ __ ] like these are human beings and so to me the letter kind of

  • 30:20

humanized him when i was reading it let me read his caption also it says 22-2 just a bed and a shower no windows just

  • 30:27

walls can't see or talk to anyone i'm writing now and still praying every day

  • 30:33

i was raised to fight fire with water even though my country's amendments have failed me protect black art

  • 30:39

and that was another uh thing at summer jam too um to protect black art they have some initiative they were asking

  • 30:46

everyone to text protect black art it was about the lyrics being used in court

  • 30:51

okay um dirk brought meek out performed a couple of records and then meek gave this long psa he's like listen i'm one of the

  • 30:57

silent people behind this movement um you know with his prison reform etc

  • 31:03

one of the people behind this this isn't about this is about all of us yeah so just

  • 31:08

protect black art protect like art should not be allowed to be used against us no it shouldn't sign the petition

  • 31:14

yeah sign a petition man and just you know again it's just art it's just lyrics

  • 31:21

uh you already know where i stand on that topic you know if you're not sitting here outlining something

  • 31:27

directly shouldn't be allowed to be used against you agree when the last pod ended i asked you

  • 31:34

gentlemen specifically if you thought the golden state warriors would go down three to one in the finals

  • 31:39

and all of you said yes to my surprise but y'all a sports idiot so i didn't think y'all would get it

  • 31:45

right so now come in and answer for yourselves okay boston look good in game uh game

  • 31:51

three so i thought so recently bias for you yeah does the same apply to you ish no i just think boston's a better team

  • 31:58

i think boston's a better team i think um boston won't win another game no i don't think they really i've been saying

  • 32:04

that but i was saying that before this two-game win streak it's possible boston will not win

  • 32:09

another game in the series warriors and six at some point coaching and championship

  • 32:15

pedigree will just have to come out and you boston fans yo fans impact the game

  • 32:20

i remember i told you all the story i made jason tatum mad before nick game and one time he went crazy like fans

  • 32:26

impact a game so while i normally think that golden state would play cute in game six

  • 32:32

just to win it on their home floor not now no the boston fans y'all them piss these guys off and they're gonna win it

  • 32:38

on parquet well it's not park anymore no that's the old wall still that's old

  • 32:44

they're going to win in boston and this is not just because of how the series has gone before this series

  • 32:49

started i never had the celtics winning game six you said that never had them winning

  • 32:59

so whatever happens before that was on the warriors man and boston didn't do what they needed to do

  • 33:04

my take is they're finished they go home at home yeah i think they cracked their spirit in that last uh game in boston i

  • 33:11

think that last quarter yeah spirit because i turned to it well i looked at it it was uh halftime

  • 33:18

and golden state was up and then at the end of the third it was a one-point game i said oh y'all getting

  • 33:23

ready let them jump on your ass what what jason tatum will learn

  • 33:28

is that there's levels to being kobe even

  • 33:33

like kobe didn't just pop up and become kobe no i watched him in the playoffs shooting

  • 33:38

air balls when he was 18. like it's levels you got to go through it so you're putting a lot on his shoulders

  • 33:45

to just turn into the guy yeah like he will be that guy and he is the guy but there's levels to

  • 33:52

guys and wardell is just different man even though he didn't show up last night he didn't play that great in the last game

  • 33:58

but that's why they that's why boston should have won that game sure if you cannot win the game when wardell don't

  • 34:03

show up if wiggins and clay and the rest of them start beating you then what are we talking about here

  • 34:08

uh and that's what's so but that's just what's so scary about the warriors like even with him not showing up he's such a

  • 34:14

threat that it allows somebody else to still cook you because you still gotta he could not

  • 34:20

show up to the fourth quarter all right let me instigate let me instigate and try to wake you guys up if the warriors when does that say anything

  • 34:27

about kevin durant i've been waiting to bring back that argument for a while but

  • 34:33

bring back what was your original argument for those who missed it the uh i think it was a patreon episode uh oh steph uh first case that's that first kd

  • 34:40

well then i bumped into amani last night and he says something i've never heard but

  • 34:46

maybe it should be acknowledged he says if steph wins then that should open people's eyes up that they have k.d

  • 34:52

ranked entirely too high on the all-time list i don't know that i agree with that because i haven't eyes

  • 34:59

what do the two have to do with each other i don't think they have anything to do with each other i think that arguably

  • 35:05

you know why it's being said i do know why it's being said i just don't think for anybody that has a basketball brain that is relevant

  • 35:11

this would be stupid has replaced kd that [ __ ] jordan pools are offensive juggernaut he could score on anybody in

  • 35:17

the [ __ ] world not gonna call him a juggernaut but i see what you're saying offensively he's a problem he ain't

  • 35:23

showed up this whole series yeah he ain't showed up i can't call him a juggernaut he's very skilled half of the

  • 35:29

team is not showing up if you really want to be honest it's steph out there playing with wiggins the rest of them [ __ ] playing like [ __ ] looney playing

  • 35:36

okay and the rest of them [ __ ] are playing like [ __ ] clay looks wack uh draymond and his bully [ __ ] ain't

  • 35:42

working wiggins is out there saving the day like [ __ ] jesus christ

  • 35:47

let's stick to our point so you know why people would be saying this about kevin durant i'll just respond to that i don't

  • 35:53

think the two correlated i think that i don't think it affects uh uh katie's standing as one of the greats

  • 36:00

he is one of the greats however if if doesn't previous pecking order was him above steph i think that you would have

  • 36:07

to reanalyze it i think this i think that anybody that watched basketball and watched the golden state championships

  • 36:13

when kd was there k.d was the alpha like in the fourth quarter kd saved today it wasn't like he was out there

  • 36:19

getting 19 points and was riding the coattails at him that's not what he wrote kd he was an

  • 36:25

integral integral integral part of their championship run so i don't think that dims his light i just think they're a

  • 36:31

good basketball team they have a great system they're well coached and they're veterans well the knock before he got

  • 36:36

there was his ability to lead a team they highlighted him leaving uh the thunder when he had a 3-1 series lead

  • 36:43

against those very same warriors now i never panic at any mine but this will be steph's second team

  • 36:51

some could say third really yes some could say third third lineup for sure but this is the third iteration yeah that he

  • 36:59

has led to this and some of that would i think have to

  • 37:06

say something about kd why if

  • 37:11

i just say if you previously had kd above man you left to be the alpha

  • 37:17

like the alpha alpha the undeniable alpha right because even now with him winning and

  • 37:22

i'm not staying on this forever i want to get to the curries and the white swap like that's the fun part here but

  • 37:28

yeah i don't even care about this kd is great steph is great y'all know how i feel about wardell he's him he will

  • 37:33

always be him uh i think if he gets a fourth chip you put him in a different conversation than he was previously i think he's arguing

  • 37:40

and he'll get his finals mvp finally some people say wiggins should be acknowledged a little more for that but

  • 37:45

let's see what happens i don't care what wiggins do steph is getting that award yeah yeah he is

  • 37:50

getting out he carried him on his on their back for that game four he just it was something dropped four quick

  • 37:56

quick took over it was just yo he couldn't miss and they played like [ __ ] again the team is playing like [ __ ]

  • 38:02

outside of steph and wiggins the rest of those jokers are playing like [ __ ] now

  • 38:08

after game four they showed dale curry in the stands

  • 38:14

    with some white meat

  • 38:20

i posted that picture because i thought it was funny

  • 38:26

i have to stop doing that i can't act like the the reddit people

  • 38:33

the first person to respond to my post was who you guessed it

  • 38:40

seth curry oh [ __ ] [ __ ] really my man we go back to the duke

  • 38:47

games he's running for monopoly for that many years but his career took off so i don't

  • 38:52

blame him but we had a brief exchange and while i won't divulge any of it what

  • 38:59

he did say is pops is outside

  • 39:06

suck the fun right out of my joke you know what it means and pop is outside but we knew that yeah y'all

  • 39:14

where do y'all think that steph got these great shooting skills from the the greatest ever yeah shoot a [ __ ] dale

  • 39:21

    yeah don't thought dale stopped shooting that's why i don't like when [ __ ] be like joe you 41. stop [ __ ] the

  • 39:27

bartenders no like what age do you think [ __ ] need to be at to stop

  • 39:34

no he's kind of got like i mean like the white hat the gray beard like you know what he's doing

  • 39:39

like you a few people said yeah now listen this was funny enough

  • 39:44

alone before you learned anything else dale curry with the white woman at the

  • 39:49

game was fun know why it was fun for me cause [ __ ] yo [ __ ]

  • 39:55

these are my kids they've dominated the league i've been at this game with my wife

  • 40:01

for ages camera's been on us it's been our daughter our family jolly i know the intensity of playoff

  • 40:09

games i know the extra coverage of a playoff game but i do got to support my

  • 40:15

boy and hey white me why don't you come along with me nah y'all miss [ __ ] know the position that

  • 40:21

they put people in yo remember when it was the knicks he hit that um the record-breaking shot right i don't know

  • 40:27

all right well mm-hmm i don't think it was steph was in uh daryl excuse me dell was in the crowd

  • 40:33

and he had two pieces with him you did he did and was looking and that's when it was a snack box yeah yeah

  • 40:40

and even then it was like oh he's outside outside like he had the shirt tucked in with the belt showing

  • 40:46

so he's been showing you you know i'm just i mean it's me i know but as men

  • 40:54

we know that men can go outside really is it told that when you go

  • 40:59

outside she did too she did too she put the dress on too she did too and guess what she got tickets

  • 41:06

to the game too mom dukes hey those my kids my kids too now uh-huh put me on the

  • 41:13

other side of the bleacher your dad is coming and i got a little piece coming with me

  • 41:20

now that's funny already it is i don't need nothing else but the internet sometimes

  • 41:26

will be the gift that keeps on giving time out day was that the same game yes i didn't

  • 41:32

catch that part what i saw the pictures i'm like oh that's oh that's far no they all had the same game yeah yeah

  • 41:38

and first of all and this is why women are shaped only one game this is why women are shady i'm dale curry i was a player now you

  • 41:45

break up with me and get with some [ __ ] to look like a coach that [ __ ] look like a fireman you're

  • 41:50

like a coach to me like a high school basketball coach want to try to come in as the step dad

  • 41:55

and give staff pointers now yo hello i'm steph curry the [ __ ] away from me

  • 42:01

and my mom husband so now this gentleman

  • 42:07

is the ex-husband of the white woman that dale brought out

  • 42:13

yeah wife swap [ __ ] we need a reality show no it ain't i'm gonna get you back

  • 42:20

i'm ready for the is that your take away from this i'm ready for the cause for me this is only this is one of two things

  • 42:27

this is either when swinging goes wrong just get back this is either that

  • 42:32

oh [ __ ] this is either we were we're swingers and something happened it shows up a

  • 42:38

little different or dale was dylan or one of us is pettier than we should be deadly yeah

  • 42:44

and i'm going down you go with the petty option i could do both but we'll pick one i'm

  • 42:50

going with swinging going wrong i'm going petty and you can throw the petiole the swing going wrong could be

  • 42:55

related to the petty i could i'm going with that i'm going with dale out here

  • 43:01

word that's what you want watch this you got my work okay i'm up

nothing you said expound how do y'all do that if you disrespectfully shoot at mine your ex

  • 43:44

if you disrespectfully shoot that money that's your ex [ __ ] will shoot at your current work yep but if it's your ex

  • 43:51

and if you knew it was my ex and we on that type of thing then then you are you're shooting at his exes or currents

  • 43:56

for the rest of life shooting at every body you yes yeah nobody nobody's safe

  • 44:02

yes yes yes nobody's off that's the game you want to play 46 years old if i were single and you

  • 44:08

shot at my girl i'm shooting at everybody in your existence that is of the opposite gender but you have a girl

  • 44:14

so how could you do that he said if you were single he said if he was single but he said if i was singing when you shot at my girl no if you shot if you

  • 44:21

disrespect me i'm single today yeah [ __ ] shoots at my girl x x that's where i was coming yeah yeah

  • 44:28

cool so on it's way [ __ ] can't shoot at y'all exes depending on listen to yourselves and

  • 44:34

and think of an articulate podcast i'm about to say this if it depends on the person like if you

  • 44:42

it's i think it's i think it's about etiquette so if you know such and such as my old work and

  • 44:47

this is how i operate in the world so i'm not saying [ __ ] if i know a [ __ ] used to pop i'll ask you you'll use the

  • 44:53

pop yo is it cool if i could pop yo this is it cool if i could shoot your favorite question so everybody said it

  • 45:00

was it cool if i could kill yo so if a [ __ ] said

  • 45:05

can i peel that thing back yo so again if the dude says no cool then i can't

  • 45:10

kill but but nine times out of ten they already i don't think men listen to themselves no

  • 45:15

i'm listening and i subscribe to this that's how i conduct myself no not still

  • 45:20

today i'm in a relationship but if i'm in the event that you were not single today and i know that ice used to

  • 45:26

talk to somebody or parks used to talk to somebody prior to me even remotely going in that direction

  • 45:33

i'm gonna ask their okay i'll tell you my a situation where this happened in my life i was dating a girl we broke up but

  • 45:39

we're still kind of you know i mean working it out whatever whatever whatever bring her around someone that you know outside friend circle wouldn't

  • 45:46

call him homie but kind of the homie they hook up but he is his girl

  • 45:51

is friends with me she's going to be more than a friend now we were more than friends there you go there you go yeah

  • 45:56

sorry i'm going to mario her out y'all are disgusting you call her

  • 46:02

whatever you want i was young you're not young now well he's not young now joe and you and you with that yeah what

  • 46:09

i told you yes like i said i've taken it a step further and i

  • 46:15

you say you do it for a friend yo i've seen one of my homies disrespected and he kind of played it

  • 46:20

off okay well i'm not cool with chat with that you know you holla you hollered at his

  • 46:26

ex on some disrespectful [ __ ] okay cool now i'm gonna yo what i'll get back for him wait this is y'all

  • 46:32

you got to get back for your man yeah and 100 what is you hollered at my ex in a

  • 46:39

disrespectful manner that is your ex she has nothing to do with you and how did you find out it was disrespectful

  • 46:45

somebody came and told you something yo you can't take that stance or you you can't take that stance because in your

  • 46:52

brain me or alex you give it to me in your brain you say your exes are off limits for the end of the world

  • 46:59

i'm listening so you can't say yo it's disrespectful if somebody shoots at your ex i hate when you try to bring like a pod joke into real life oh no no i

  • 47:06

didn't always talk so that's what you could say in your of pride and if you're living in your

  • 47:11

ego hey all my ex is off-limits i only take one ex to teach you that that's false

  • 47:17

i i certainly don't think that i have this uh hold on all of my ex's vaginas i do

  • 47:23

not feel like that so i i just think that is it's a manner of

  • 47:29

etiquette i just feel like if if we guys i think you all are full of [ __ ] but this is your top [ __ ] look if we got

  • 47:35

somewhere poor your ex is now dating a new [ __ ] that you happen to know

  • 47:42

he didn't do nothing disrespectful no listen that could be the disrespect how i know him yeah who dictates who

  • 47:47

determines that disrespect y'all as a person outside of the relationship i don't think that's disrespectful y'all

  • 47:53

don't think that's ego and pride the person's disrespect i don't have nothing else to say no i just said the person that's disrespected

  • 47:59

determines the disrespect we say that you could come in here and say i didn't mean for it to go that way but if they take it that way that's what it is

  • 48:05

that's true so i could take that from you he's saying that i got it like chris rock and

  • 48:12

will smith remember we came in and chris rock was like yo it was a silly joke and everybody else's stance was no you don't

  • 48:18

get determined to determine if it's a silly joke if you disrespected this man he's the person that entitles the level

  • 48:25

yo we're hard with examples here what does that have to do with this i just i just said fam if me and you know

  • 48:31

somebody got away i'm trying if me and somebody got

  • 48:36

a level of a rapport i can take that as disrespect that you're shooting you know that was your

  • 48:42

girl for three or four years you knew that so i take that but they both moved on knowing who you was

  • 48:48

and who you be true so they did it that's fine that's why you are on the outside of that feeling like it's

  • 48:54

disrespectful that's fine like they know who you be okay and this is what we did oh okay

  • 49:03

what are you about to do about it what we just told you now don't tell me again because we're going in circles but you

  • 49:09

just don't want to hear what we say it's not true in this same discussion with pete and kanye and kim i was on this

  • 49:15

stance i was saying hey that's disrespectful it's what's saying to me who the [ __ ] are you

  • 49:22

to feel that way ken moved on pete moved on they both happy blah blah blah blah blah blah true that's not true that's my example

  • 49:34

not just that he was saying that some of the things that he was doing i'm not saying it's disrespectful that they're

  • 49:39

dating that's cool i said some of the [ __ ] that was going on was the corny [ __ ] or the

  • 49:45

inappropriate [ __ ] not the fact that they were in a relationship okay i got it

  • 49:51

what is this [ __ ] you showing me the freshman class that's what sells friends if you know they do that every year

  • 49:58

it's time for this already yeah apparently so freshman class uh baby tron cochise

  • 50:06

saucy santana babyface rey kinderman sofigo big scar big 30

  • 50:12

casey duchy cali nardo wick i'm old

  • 50:18

congratulations to everybody i'm sure this is a huge achievement for all parties involved i don't care

  • 50:25

you shouldn't care i don't care it's not for me yeah i'm just gonna say in in the last few years it's been a lot

  • 50:32

of who the [ __ ] is that for me i know half the names on here so i'm cool i'm not mad at that so i can

  • 50:38

recognize some names i know the music and a couple of these acts the ones that i know are deserving of it not saying

  • 50:44

anyone else isn't but you know i know it's a big deal for the younger acts to get the freshman cover yeah it is it is

  • 50:49

so salute to everybody freshman show and freshman freestyle will be coming we'll see

  • 50:55

they put saucy santana on the cover huh they tried to cancel saucy

  • 51:02

yo when you said that uh saucy was gonna be hosting uh young miami's show with her the podcast

  • 51:08

for some reason i was thinking of sauce gardener and i've been laughing in my head ever since

  • 51:14

    sauce card

  • 51:20

i was talking about saucy yeah i know i don't but once i put two and two together i was

  • 51:26

like oh man this is no longer a music pod what do you want this pod to be about

  • 51:31

football this is like lifestyle this is like this is big

  • 51:37

football oh surf is here a round of applause for surf hey he made it hey huh what'd i say no

  • 51:45

he made it back here he comes back after the battle rap community kicks him out of town uh you know

  • 51:51

i think i bought the battleground community it was on serf's ass for a little while that's what they do we'll get to it

  • 51:57

later we'll get to it later how you doing sir i'm doing great i can't complain you look great yes thanks i appreciate that you look great i'm glad

  • 52:03

to see you guys we're glad to see you as well brother good um yeah saucy santana

  • 52:08

tweeted some [ __ ] man years ago about blue ivy was totally inappropriate you shouldn't tweet those things about a child

  • 52:14

uh but he later apologized well he didn't really apologize he said he was young my

  • 52:19

bad and i learned and y'all be trying to cancel [ __ ] and get the [ __ ] out of here i don't want to spend time on that

  • 52:24

lizzo put a song out and use the word spazz in the song

  • 52:30

s-p-a-z okay okay and that's cancel culture came out yes spazz

  • 52:37

is bad really spazz is bad yes i didn't know that pull that up pull it up i learned this

  • 52:44

as well okay what is what is it uh who does it definitely i'm waiting for him to pull it up so i can tell you because

  • 52:50

i've learned this uh disabled people uh why lizzo's new song girls is being called a beast a

  • 52:58

beast do better lizzo is facing backlash on social media

  • 53:04

for using an at least slur ableist is that able ableist i'm just listening to surf fans

  • 53:09

of the star are urging her to change the lyrics of the single or else remove it from streaming services altogether

  • 53:16

disability advocates immediately condemn the song upon its release on friday for its use of the word derived from the

  • 53:21

    term [ __ ] [Music] amen can i can i

  • 53:27

    [ __ ] according to colin's dictionary surf is defined as someone who is [ __ ]

  • 53:35

is born with a disability which makes it difficult for them to control their muscles especially in their arms

  • 53:41

    and legs i'm not [ __ ] with it hey dogs i ain't [ __ ] with it nigga's been spazzing

  • 53:46

since i was born like that's been our word before who was kotlin this dictionary i know webster

  • 53:52

i know webster's dictionary i don't know colin colin is another dictionary he's not valid in the hood but he's

  • 53:59

respectful but colin is telling you colin is telling you he's teaching you hey this

  • 54:05

word derives from this and however long you've been using it today it is offensive what my new york [ __ ] say

  • 54:12

i'm not jacking it spazz is our word she hell no i'm not so now that's no you

  • 54:17

know that's no no hold my bag do you see this [ __ ] i'm a spaz and and that's a problem yes they

  • 54:25

just spazz out you come from spasm you gotta use context clues where did the spaz now come from muscle

  • 54:31

spasm i'm assuming so you're agreeing with colin right ish i see where they're going i don't agree

  • 54:36

    with that [ __ ] though i mean i think they're calling the [ __ ] out of here

  • 54:44

lizzo is one of the most unproblematic artists out there first off she don't

  • 54:51

she don't do [ __ ] to like upset none of that except go out and twerk in inappropriate places but whatever

  • 54:58

that's problematic but go ahead you know what what

  • 55:07

[ __ ] if i went to the laker game when in a thong on start shaking my ass somebody would say something about it it's no different for sure but that's

  • 55:13

not what the topic that's not yeah spazz i've said that word a bunch i had no idea that this is where it derived from

  • 55:19

it did i certainly wasn't talking to any disabled people because you're not familiar with the college dictionary

  • 55:25

none of us when i said that man i was about to go crazy yeah we've been spazzing they're gonna say go crazy is is a problem now

  • 55:32

    because crazy

  • 55:44

i'm not as brave or as politically incorrect as you tsk

  • 55:50

be trying to buy no music anywhere that is crazy oh [ __ ]

  • 55:57

hey alex write it down what do y'all think about this honestly we know what surf thinks i don't think

  • 56:03

this is too far yeah i just think that pretty soon you're not gonna be able to say nothing like if you go listen to all the dope rap [ __ ] from the 90s 2000s the

  • 56:11

[ __ ] that they were saying in those songs man biggie said she was so she was so bad she's so he'll suck a daddy dick

  • 56:17

they worry about spags it's other [ __ ] we could be pulling out in lyrics that we could be talking about that was

  • 56:23

very progressive for biggie to say that that was like it's mad [ __ ] we could talk about if we want to pull out lyrics

  • 56:28

and start talking about what people meant and [ __ ] they had a lot of lyrics about he figured that was an old richard pryor

  • 56:34

joke he just repeated first of all that's what i'm saying it's just mad other [ __ ] but he didn't have smack jokes though yeah what's the mother [ __ ]

  • 56:40

    richard richie okay

  • 56:47

richard bryant didn't know dark skin jermaine you know what i mean so wait who else he did wait wait wait uh

  • 56:53

    oh no gutter yeah

  • 57:10

no not if it was that yo don't you know my [ __ ] antoine kids

  • 57:16

[ __ ] them in their ass throw them over the bridge that's how it is it ain't

  • 57:22

yeah no you can't say none of that no no [ __ ] you can't never say that yo imagine putting out what's beef when

  • 57:29

lyrics are being brought up in court damn that is y'all got the goal oh no all i make is one phone call

  • 57:36

all y'all did freak out tomorrow for sure and i don't want to oh by

  • 57:41

hear the [ __ ] uh prosecutor read those lyrics

  • 57:46

uh killing the witnesses duct taping the witnesses yeah all of that yeah yeah now who's the person that

  • 57:52

picks out the lyrics that should be thought in the hell no it's way money with too much time on their hands that's it that's all it is all right in a hot

  • 57:58

place because come on let me let me jump in here if you're an artist you are a brand if

  • 58:04

you are a brand you are a business if you are a business typically it is your job to remain clean and far away from

  • 58:10

the third rail uh so you can be appealing to advertisers from big and

  • 58:16

small so anything that you say that is offensive even if you don't really feel

  • 58:21

that way you got to clean it up because it ruins your chance at advertising but

  • 58:27

what if you so we understand why it is happening that's the problem well then whoever walked into this

  • 58:33

whoever you're partnering with is going to get a phone call when there's public outcry and they'll call you and say hey we need

  • 58:39

to do a re-release and redo the list that's what she did which lizzo did so congratulations shout

  • 58:44

out to her awesome i don't rap anymore more so i'm not going to use the word spazz but that word came up a lot in my raps

  • 58:51

that word has been around i feel like for 30 plus years you know what i'm saying like but as hip-hop but as

  • 58:58

hip-hop becomes becomes more inclusive right and we want do we want it to be more

  • 59:04

inclusive true yeah right and because parks yeah that word has been around but so is the f-bomb

  • 59:10

true yes in hip-hop oh absolutely you know what i'm saying so it's like

  • 59:15

once you i don't think that's the same i'm just saying that word joe there was a time

  • 59:22

where it was allowed to be said absolutely without any not that long ago

  • 59:27

that's all i'm saying and then what happens is more people learn you realize words are hurting people and how they're

  • 59:34

affecting people and you correct that and they go back and crucify people for oh [ __ ] so like if an artist was to come

  • 59:40

out today and say that yeah there's a problem you learn this word today is problematic

  • 59:46

she's doing the right thing by fixing it and then another you know somebody else might not put spaz today lyrics going

  • 59:51

forward because now we know this is on the list of [ __ ] you can't say yeah

  • 59:56

your verse might be trash if you don't say spaz well say it did you or did you

  • 1:00:02

are you spazzing or not say it sorry you're advertising and branding it are you talking to me i would

  • 1:00:09

i would we don't think i would come home

  • 1:00:16

i don't think mcdonald's just canceling nobody for spies all right do lizzle got a happy meal

  • 1:00:22

no but if she did i don't think mcdonald's is taking it down because of spaz she's the one that she's not she's the one that

  • 1:00:40

in a fun time type of way never mind there's something there no no no no

  • 1:00:46

like a good person nah i don't know if i kill like you don't mean that

  • 1:00:51

you know what's great about the young [ __ ] they always entertain that question like it's the most serious

  • 1:00:56

thing you really start to think about it yeah i don't know i look like she lifting that [ __ ] up in there it's fine sir it's fine it is fine

  • 1:01:04

she lifting that [ __ ] up nah she's like a good time like a bowling game night uno jenga drunk twister

  • 1:01:13

i don't know if i could get around lizzo and twister but that'd be fun twister lizzo

  • 1:01:18

come on i'd say let's move on buddy get me

  • 1:01:30

leave it in the comments what you think getting right out of that one okay now on the versus news it's the versus cass

  • 1:01:38

it's the versus cast yo juel santana says that he wants lloyd

  • 1:01:43

banks in the verses just give it to me just give it to me

  • 1:01:48

that's a good question i need to hear your [ __ ] thoughts give it to me that's a good matchup i think that uh banks is obviously well i won't say

  • 1:01:55

obviously i think he's a better attitude he said you said it all right i said it [ __ ] it i think today he's a better rapper but joel's has a lot of joints

  • 1:02:02

like that's that'll be wells was a lot of part of a good some good joints yeah

  • 1:02:08

oh no i didn't even get to his solo joints yet i'm just talking about the hits that he had verses on yeah

  • 1:02:15

like he's got very like some crazy verses next to wayne some crazy verses like he's a part of damn they're all dip

  • 1:02:21

set like dip set smokers they're smokers you ever go for a walk in the park

  • 1:02:27

because it's a beautiful day out but as soon as you get to the park you got a piss so you got to find a bathroom or get out the park

  • 1:02:33

sure you well gundy is bad that's about you that was my next my

  • 1:02:40

next statement was banks was a part of the united states

  • 1:02:45

wait wait both of you all said that we both icing ish yeah you buggered you disrespected you else

  • 1:02:51

nah he just had now put that dipstick [ __ ] had a lot of hits yo before you even get into the jewels and

  • 1:02:58

um in wayne bag before you even get into solo bags what's yours in wayne bay

  • 1:03:03

all that mixtape [ __ ] that them [ __ ] was doing he could yeah you could use anything that's the time that's the tiny bag

  • 1:03:09

you put a sour power in a lot of people with anything

  • 1:03:14

yeah logistics is this a new yorkers in miami sir if you be quiet for two seconds let

  • 1:03:21

them explain why they think i am wrong and what i'm saying about you i just think that you all are arguing jewels

  • 1:03:27

and that's my man man i think the dipstick catalog is just too impactful

  • 1:03:32

too impactful to what hip hop you just watched what the dip said catalog did against another

  • 1:03:38

impactful that was that was the point i was gonna make that was the point i was gonna make yes

  • 1:03:43

i am no you're not totally is the execution of of the of the uh catalog that might be a problem cause we've seen

  • 1:03:49

that you know lloyd banks was in g unit i do man i don't know you got a lot of stuff you can't compare lloyd banks to

  • 1:03:55

the lox who had a 30-year run at hip-hop give me a score

  • 1:04:01

i'm just saying this i have this being very this is a great matchup and i have this being very close same i love it

  • 1:04:06

that's all i'm that's why i said you got banks i think it comes down to i think it comes down to the way they the like delivery like the way this show is

  • 1:04:12

presented that it literally comes that's how like it's close banks wins this by seven years no way buy seven songs or

  • 1:04:19

more out of your mind you bugging what i love banks that's big bro i love

  • 1:04:24

banks that's the big homie it's by seven he's separated by seven songs

  • 1:04:31

i said what i said juelz is my man i say this as respectfully as i can say i got banks

  • 1:04:38

and seven songs is banks has too many records that's a point too

  • 1:04:44

many records that's a point i i don't know you're looking at me but you know what i i ran into this with dipset versus the

  • 1:04:51

locks too when i said the locks are gonna run them out of town and everybody in new york

  • 1:04:57

said that i was a lunatic i even caught drama right before the battle i'm documented

  • 1:05:04

that don't change here jewels don't have the records to go against [ __ ] beamer bins or bentley he's on that record so

  • 1:05:12

who do you think is playing it what are you talking about they're going to do that who is playing they're going to do that together if they do it right it's

  • 1:05:17

going to happen all right that's cool no answer my question who is going to play that record lloyd banks is going to

  • 1:05:24

play that record and then juelz can use his he could come out in the same round talking about

  • 1:05:29

we've seen that in the verse no we have not we've seen them end with the song they

  • 1:05:35

did together but one of them played it so follow respond to what i'm saying i don't care if they perform together

  • 1:05:41

lloyd banks did his song jewels came out and did the verse that's the grand finale but that's my song it's a point

  • 1:05:49

victory is a point start it up is a point a few of them a few of them a few of them girl records is a point the g

  • 1:05:56

unit records summon them it's a point you know what i give jouel's guarantee points

  • 1:06:02

uh you did say anthem of course hey mom hey mom yeah right that's a guarantee i don't see how you

  • 1:06:08

can say that go run it go back chris brown yeah go back down alex up yeah right running with chris brown is yeah

  • 1:06:14

music no i said hey ma hey mine is not a guarantee point and no verses go up alex and no verses all right stop all right i

  • 1:06:20

know that i know that's your [ __ ] it's not a guarantee point in no verses what where lloyd banks are the whistle song

  • 1:06:27

point where all right where this

  • 1:06:35

start it up ain't no guarantee point joe okay i think it is i think it is

  • 1:06:40

    cannot yeah i'm cool

  • 1:06:47

in new york he is talking crazy right now they play this in new york if they running it if they if they gotta play

  • 1:06:52

this new year from new york you're a [ __ ] stupid they're both from new york santana town the point no

  • 1:06:58

    you really

  • 1:07:13

go up in new york but juelz catalog not go up in new york and i got banks winning this 12 eight

  • 1:07:18

for me seven songs then i'm wrong on the score banks is winning this

  • 1:07:24

i would love to see this happen i'm getting there excited set this up andrew wells i say this as respectfully

  • 1:07:31

as i can i know what you did i know what you do banks is different

  • 1:07:36

and i'm going to keep it up i think then they say top three i don't like what you all said in the beginning blink is too

  • 1:07:42

easy i don't like that blink ain't no walk in the park bro i

  • 1:07:48

got bleak beatings heavy songs that is not a walk in the park

  • 1:07:53

i have bleak beating jewels too or coming closer you got bleak with 20 yeah yeah

  • 1:08:00

100 rock records yes no no no 20 good ones

  • 1:08:05

not 20. i'm just scraping for lulu

  • 1:08:20

i do think that banks is way more calculated and strategic than didn't you like banks will make it make sense that's why i got banks winning i

  • 1:08:26

do but that the number's crazy yeah he said like your first three for his

  • 1:08:31

top joints he said he said santana's telling him he had five i just left it alone five of them wasn't points and these are like

  • 1:09:01

i do not think the masses pick hey ma over karma i think that's your new york bias

  • 1:09:06

i don't have new york bias but let's move on there's more versus cash stuff to beef about okay there's the rumors of

  • 1:09:12

uh amari uh of marion mario mario find the nearest bathroom buddy now i'm

  • 1:09:17

rolling with you find the nearest that joby right yo i don't care whether you're all right don't do that to yourself mario you're

  • 1:09:23

my man joe i hate when i got told by my man's on this pod morgan my guy

  • 1:09:29

just leaves and other [ __ ] and other [ __ ] don't want no smoke i like maybe mario versus lloyd maybe okay amarion

  • 1:09:36

should be regarded differently than he is same with banks a mario is not the one for you r b

  • 1:09:43

[ __ ] to tap on the shoulder because y'all gonna learn you something on a nice 80 degree day mario

  • 1:09:50

whatever his name is now mario i got too much [ __ ] like these are too many records you got to leave him oh touch i'm trying to run i'm

  • 1:09:57

trying to all just a solo

  • 1:10:06

[Applause] we're friends i got a marion beating uh

  • 1:10:12

    mario by 10.

  • 1:10:21

no disrespect off the top like as a music head off the top you're going to give i'm giving mario how do i breathe

  • 1:10:27

just a friend those are two songs do i breathe he might lose blood sorry buddy just i'm gonna give you guys

  • 1:10:32

give you a breakup against the point break up depending on what it's up against though let me love

  • 1:10:37

you yes somebody else yes let me just use that's where this ends i

  • 1:10:44

don't let me love you's a point all day he scores there that's his ace he might lose about he might win he might get four points big

  • 1:10:50

jokers let me love you wins against anything that a marion is going to play anymore anything how do i breathe as a

  • 1:10:56

monster that's a point for me the i think that how do i breathe depends on what it matches up with but it like has

  • 1:11:01

a high chance of winning but how do i reach it right right and shut up bam how do i breathe

  • 1:11:07

    this is mario

  • 1:11:14

    you be disrespecting some [ __ ] joe i don't know how [ __ ] be liking you

  • 1:11:19

they don't block you bro yeah no you got to children this was a joint this comes from

  • 1:11:25

everybody mother notice it's a joint we know this right that's what i'm saying is right in between two different

  • 1:11:34

things what am i the only [ __ ] in the world with the how do i breathe instrumental what is it what is going what is

  • 1:11:39

happening right now i said how did he do it sounded like a tv show like he's a great dj you got that

  • 1:11:46

somebody i am you should be on a cruise put some bars [Music]

  • 1:11:52

    yeah it don't matter i ain't gonna lie it's take that [ __ ] to east orange whatever the [ __ ] you're talking about versus how

  • 1:11:58

    do i i just don't know anything it's a fight i'm sorry yo

  • 1:12:03

it's not a fight it's not a fight it's not a fight it's not a fight this is the ass weapon mario will learn the hard way

  • 1:12:10

juelle santana he will learn the hard way i will give you this with the jewels one because

  • 1:12:16

that was the main thing about that dip set locks versus it was the performance and the fact that there was no chemistry amongst dipset like that in fact

  • 1:12:23

depending on how jewels performs these records that's going to be the deciding

  • 1:12:31

we forgetting that the sound system for dipset sounded like trash that's true

  • 1:12:36

that but that's because let me finish this one and then jadakiss went up there

  • 1:12:42

and put on the master class in performance we're not gonna act like the dip set songs when you play them don't hit but look i've seen girls lose all

  • 1:12:49

they prissy cool when them dips at songs come on that was outside i say that with the locks that's part of the performance because

  • 1:12:56

they were rapping over the actual track that's why it sounds like [ __ ] though

  • 1:13:01

i'm talking about song for song song for song yeah but so again performance and

  • 1:13:07

it matters that's why dip sets just didn't hit the way they should have hit them dip set [ __ ] [ __ ] that's not even in the hip hop know them dips at

  • 1:13:14

[ __ ] songs and them songs did not hit why we're not i'm talking about asking songs i'm not talking about the lox

  • 1:13:20

battle i'm talking about the actual song [ __ ] the performance we agreeing i'm talking about that singles you can

  • 1:13:25

play at white collar parties i'm trying to tell you that it's not us listening to it in our

  • 1:13:31

headphones we're going to hear it the way it's presented at the verses true that's going to dictate how a record hits who's

  • 1:13:39

to say the lloyd banks set gonna be i'm not gonna lie i got no i got karma over okay

  • 1:13:47

    [Music]

  • 1:13:58

yeah straight that's not weird because i can't talk music with you

  • 1:14:03

    [ __ ] with fan ears that's the problem and that's no that's not the problem that's why this [ __ ]

  • 1:14:09

loses because you gonna get in your technical bag and the average fan has fan ears yo i'm 99 i understand

  • 1:14:16

versus predictions 99. i'm 99 on my versus video i got preem wrong

  • 1:14:22

i got uh i got primrose there's one more that i got wrong that i

  • 1:14:28

don't remember right now i've got two wrong to my knowledge alright 95

  • 1:14:35

    okay so

  • 1:14:41

still got that being the close versus yeah like that's not the fans are the [ __ ] that's going to be in the verses

  • 1:14:46

and again stop disrespecting believe that that was about to say that was a bad that was a bad tweet right there

  • 1:14:52

that was bad stop disrespecting that's a bad tweet right there don't do that that [ __ ] got non retweets

  • 1:14:58

that's this real twitter right that ain't that ain't circulating

  • 1:15:04

that ain't circulating in the world well not yet bro that was an hour ago if if the right

  • 1:15:09

person that was a bad tweet that's what that means what do you mean it could that could have been up for twitter but you know what though that's not just ul's yo

  • 1:15:17

hip-hop as a whole does not respect bleak enough that's 20 i've said that a bunch

  • 1:15:24

i don't know why it is but i don't want to sound like the old [ __ ] trying to tell the young [ __ ] about why they should appreciate it very easy you're

  • 1:15:30

very easy when hope said he could be one hit away his whole career people kind of just

  • 1:15:36

held that up we don't talk about that enough we don't

  • 1:15:41

talk about the bad the bad that comes with a big co-sign sometimes

  • 1:15:46

it's a lot of pressure running next to batman it can't because it can't be two batman's you automatically put yourself

  • 1:15:52

in that like if this is jay-z right he's gonna save batman ass at the end of one of the movies and the cartoon he helps

  • 1:15:59

the movie but he's not batman and you can't be batman if like you know how much shadow being next to lebron is no

  • 1:16:05

matter how great you score at all microphones are going to be at lebron at the end of the game you're walking straight to the locker room that's just

  • 1:16:10

the way so the same way lebron can walk in any gym in the world and feel good with whatever is in his toolbox i think

  • 1:16:17

bleak can walk in any hip-hop conversation with his catalogue and be respected not with the way this

  • 1:16:22

generation is right now they don't even know do they need to go listen to to his catalogue as a little man like you you you look

  • 1:16:30

you man man you get what i'm saying like you you you i think this coach is a disrespectful like this time that we're in like right

  • 1:16:36

now respectfully back to my inside outside thing we won't get back on that

  • 1:16:42

but the same way you had to deal with alan iverson in 2001 if you happen to be in miami and he was there

  • 1:16:49

yo bleak was in miami 2101 i was out there yo

  • 1:16:54

i just got a deal you ain't have to go to my i had a new beginner's chain that i was wearing that a few of the jv

  • 1:17:01

thotties liked nice but then you walk in the club with [ __ ] that are headlining for the night

  • 1:17:07

in a club like the [ __ ] got a big bag to just show up and that was bleak at that time and you walked in there in a sea of

  • 1:17:13

women and watched him do do my ladies is that your chick sure but

  • 1:17:18

he start going crazy and then you look and say oh that was just a downright isn't there's no respect it's different he got

  • 1:17:25

one of them sneaky sets like whiz like fat joe not enough is said about the sneaky set

  • 1:17:33

[ __ ] you little young [ __ ] if you all don't know it i think it's mostly because he stopped being active musically just being out outwardly

  • 1:17:39

active right well not true he was starting he was signing people no no i'm talking about as a artist yeah right

  • 1:17:45

oblique response yeah but i want it oh i want to see what he said i wish i want bleep to come out for

  • 1:17:51

smoke against these [ __ ] somebody what did he say i might really hurt you what like on an og tip he might hurt you all

  • 1:17:57

    that coming to a [ __ ] it's that's that's like etched in stone in hip-hop forever you elves can't play

  • 1:18:03

nothing against coming of age that's like when yes new york time he can play what he played dips at anthem is his

  • 1:18:10

greatest record and one of the new yorkers though that is instant

  • 1:18:16

    i don't have either one i don't have coming of age beating uh anthem i don't i don't either

  • 1:18:23

and y'all are right performance is a large part of verses it is

  • 1:18:28

i know that banks has been locked in a house in the [ __ ] breathalyzer lungs

  • 1:18:34

room like mariah got in her house like that protects your lungs he's fine i'll tell you he can get out

  • 1:18:41

there and say 90 words per bar like he never missed a beat

  • 1:18:46

he's in great shape he's in great health i'm telling you that 2019

  • 1:18:51

banks had the uh 15-year anniversary for hunger for more sony hall i was at that

  • 1:18:57

show and he went through the whole album plus his hits afterwards must have been an hour hour and a half set

  • 1:19:03

good set smoked it looked like all three banks how and a half said it's grown

  • 1:19:09

it looked like it looked like all three banks so to me the performance part is what is

  • 1:19:16

is they both got the records they both got a mean 20 that stack up well against each other

  • 1:19:22

i've said that i like ignorant to say that about bleak i'm mad about that let me just say my my last two times seeing

  • 1:19:29

juelz's performance i don't know how that stacks up against that banks yes you do but you won't say

  • 1:19:35

it because it don't support your argument you do know how to how it stands against banks

  • 1:19:41

it's hard to stand against this i'm gonna say that they got the records but the performance is what's gonna

  • 1:19:46

change that and all right so rolling loud we got rolling loud right we got a we got a rolling

  • 1:19:52

loud uh attendee here sitting in the couch yeah perform surfboard masters on rolling

  • 1:19:58

lounge that's right that's right y'all rolling home wow thursday right

  • 1:20:04

yes thank you on wednesday night rolling a little loud

  • 1:20:12

wait wait wait oh wait they put syrup on here because this little rolling loud no i actually

  • 1:20:17

got music actually [ __ ] talk about that

  • 1:20:25

check my stream [ __ ] i actually fan base and music what time are you going on noon i don't know look

  • 1:20:32

let me see all right what's going on you got rolling out before that wasn't in your time i would not go to rolling line because it's just the same

  • 1:20:38

    i don't give a [ __ ] no they just came it wasn't at the time okay

  • 1:20:43

i got it on my resume yo congratulations i appreciate that thank you thank you

  • 1:20:49

  • 1:21:45

daisy loaf benny the butcher two c body james and alchemist

  • 1:21:50

king kong sous surf dough boy

  • 1:22:09

it is a nice line it's three nice nights of lineups i mean yeah it was three great nights my beef with the

  • 1:22:15

festivals are things that have less to do with the music and the performers there okay

  • 1:22:20

so i want to shut up y'all can tell me what y'all think about this shout out to all the artists here shout out to surf

  • 1:22:25

for being on here as well but i think they're not paying most of these [ __ ] what they should be paid of

  • 1:22:31

course i do yeah and i think a lot of [ __ ] gonna get arrested

  • 1:22:36

again so don't bring the i say that as someone that's gotten arrested at a show

  • 1:22:42

like this i shouldn't bring the guys an honest honest opinion sir at this

  • 1:22:49

point all i do is say to your mom yo i know you can do you can do what you want when

  • 1:22:54

your mom call me i'm gonna say no i said that i'm asking you an honest question bro why are you breaking up my mother

  • 1:23:02

    that don't fly off

  • 1:23:12

i said is it cool to bring the guys to rolling lap are you supposed to get me up i would i brought pen i would bring the

  • 1:23:18

guys that you could bring to these things okay not them guys that y'all was on

  • 1:23:24

tape in atlanta uh doing that because it's gonna be a lot don't bring them because one [ __ ]

  • 1:23:29

see but this one i understand go ahead cuz i'm gonna talk you can just say no you're doing the show yeah but you can't right now i'm not

  • 1:23:35

missing this exposure and actually they paid me very like in the world that they pay me very well so i mean to the

  • 1:23:41

statement that you made so i got a nice check for this to be where i'm at and i never have there's a lot of exposure for

  • 1:23:47

me so i think a lot of people's not turning that rolling don't but you're different choose your butt don't go up there with guns nah no guns

  • 1:23:54

hell no who's taking me understood no no no no no no they're taking them

  • 1:24:00

they are you said who's taking [ __ ] yeah security scared of new york y'all [ __ ] got nice guns i'd be seeing

  • 1:24:07

on the news [Music] hey they put them little pretty guns across the table

  • 1:24:12

    i mean oh [ __ ]

  • 1:24:29

i'm gonna be so pretty i side with the police sometimes like thank god he got that one out of the bronx what he was gonna do

  • 1:24:36

with that [ __ ] in the bronx ain't no deer in the bronx

  • 1:24:52

[Laughter] i said how the [ __ ] did that get in

  • 1:24:57

jersey oh man you just got a light in a missile flyby is

  • 1:25:03

excuse me if you sitting at a light in a [ __ ] missile fly past your car see that's the

  • 1:25:08

other side that's my second thought when i go somewhere i go places i'll be like yo i don't see enough black people here and

  • 1:25:15

then my next thought is what if a missile just flew

  • 1:25:22

how do you what it's the same way they do it no guns are rolling loud man bring security where is it i'm just gonna get

  • 1:25:28

security that's all that's smart that's this that's mature but it is that's mature

  • 1:25:33

yeah sure because responsibility artists you really be one like don't get the security that that run away when they go

  • 1:25:39

down yeah it's some trash security you gotta get you some good sugar careful now as an artist the average artist coming

  • 1:25:44

up though you don't it's not like you want the homies to be security but you would rather feel comfortable like all right

  • 1:25:49

it's me and my [ __ ] put money in your people popping come on that's what's happening

  • 1:25:57

the [ __ ] up part is right it's like 15 homies is equivalent to you by

  • 1:26:02

yourself and two three security guards like you know i mean like in in a weird type so you know what i mean like you

  • 1:26:07

having 12 13 homies it's like am i gonna do the security thing or am i gonna bring the homies i just love me yeah see

  • 1:26:13

what you say thanks parks i don't know nothing about this [ __ ] it's hard to not like it's hard to not

  • 1:26:19

yeah i mean 15 homies is equal to three security in a sense like in a weird type of

  • 1:26:25

explanation way of like when you have professional training security that can legally possess whatever they need to leave a lot of possessions i feel like i

  • 1:26:32

feel justice i felt justice come right that's what i'm saying if i got three security guards i'm by myself i feel just as comfortable if i'm with 10 12 of

  • 1:26:38

my homies but listen do you see a lineup like this right and maybe see somebody else on the lineup that

  • 1:26:45

no this don't even look like a messy lineup this don't look like no they don't look like jaws to the police

  • 1:26:52

yeah i was gonna race out my questions i see it i guarantee you somebody get arrested

  • 1:26:58

i guarantee you that and that's pretty much that yeah listen i've seen enough i'm not oh and speaking of 22 g's has

  • 1:27:04

just been arrested right and he's on the sunday yes lineup uh he may be released

  • 1:27:10

before this yeah he's already he's giving me the crease

  • 1:27:15

so you so the fed's going to be there's a wait timeout if he gets released you think he still comes to do this show

  • 1:27:21

with all that extra heat if he on bell when they perform and become like my

  • 1:27:28

daughter i might have to do it i need the background whatever i'm getting so like creepy

  • 1:27:34

yo i can't remember the last major festival that happened and some type of arrest or some type of

  • 1:27:39

[ __ ] didn't happen when did when did writing lyrics become a matlock episode

  • 1:27:44

that part when [ __ ] start telling on these no we know we know i'm just saying performing is the same [ __ ]

  • 1:29:32

  • 1:29:38

early morning shooting inside a marine park brooklyn party hall where 31 year old man suffered a gunshot wound to his

  • 1:29:44

left foot the victim had provided a description of the suspect before he was transported to

  • 1:29:50

brookdale university hospital for treatment you better not have died you didn't you don't get a little

  • 1:29:56

powerpoint get away from your phone that's below the weight bro why they trying to charge my son with attempted murder he shot

  • 1:30:01

that man in his foot if he shot him allegedly i mean there's one way to look at it that's not true allegedly i don't mean not

  • 1:30:07

from what i i thought below the waist is not like a you'd let off ain't no guarantee you knew where you

  • 1:30:13

was gonna hit him at shout out to police listen i mean

  • 1:30:19

    hey i don't know the [ __ ] i don't know that [ __ ] i don't know being inside i'm with you where was the

  • 1:30:25

oculus i was outside but once they started doing like this [ __ ] i left

  • 1:30:32

  • 1:30:38

    i got a home [ __ ] and they got shot

  • 1:30:44

hey oh [ __ ] the street lights on looks like my kill

  • 1:30:50

oh i'm joking around but i shouldn't joke about this the 24 year old rapper was also charged with second-degree

  • 1:30:55

assault two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first degree reckless endangerment

  • 1:31:03

good luck and while we're on this subject or off of this subject what i have learned over the weekend and i

  • 1:31:10

probably knew this already joe joseph anthony button jr me i am not built

  • 1:31:17

to watch murder on video on my phone

  • 1:31:25

i ain't yo no i should be a little disturbed all right gotta watch it that little clip that went around and [ __ ]

  • 1:31:30

in the pharmacy did you all see it yes if you didn't see it you probably don't want to see it from new york in new york

  • 1:31:36

they did that was ridiculous that was crazy west coast rapper the west coast drill rap or something like

  • 1:31:42

that the young kid right that was stupid i want to get his name right man that was really really dumb or maybe i'm not

  • 1:31:49

street so i don't understand if you they wanted his chain he didn't give his chain up

  • 1:31:56

so they butchered him they slaughtered him like stood over and let me not even talk him like he was like and let me not save that

  • 1:32:02

because it was one person see and that's the other part where that stuff gets confusing you go out and do some [ __ ] with a group and then one

  • 1:32:08

[ __ ] do something that nobody planned on them doing right but now it's us and now it's yeah now we gotta wear that now

  • 1:32:13

we co-defendants yeah i sympathized with that that young man that was on the ground running for his life

  • 1:32:20

and my thing was and this is maybe where i'm old school y'all beat him up already you won

  • 1:32:26

he's on the floor y'all jumped him kicked them [ __ ] grabbed the umbrella did everything he had to do with the umbrella

  • 1:32:32

there was no need to kill anybody but i say that as someone that's not a killer ain't trying to be one ain't trying to think in the mind of one

  • 1:32:39

but that was a lot come here [ __ ] come on come on y'all

  • 1:32:44

family come on inside the main on here my this mic hey

  • 1:32:51

ah let's go dude stage i love a mess this is great this is

  • 1:32:58

great i love a good mess yo listen yo we're moving

  • 1:33:03

we're moving we've been in queens for seven years we're moving to jersey to accommodate [ __ ] like not even [ __ ]

  • 1:33:08

like y'all but [ __ ] that come with like 40 and 50 [ __ ] no we want to accommodate that the check got real big

  • 1:33:14

for them [Music] i mean we just want to make people

  • 1:33:20

comfortable jim comfort so now this is probably the last time that we cramped in here like sardines but i'm honored

  • 1:33:26

here we have jim who's been here before he knows that he knows it's titan here

  • 1:33:32

friend of the show and we have mano i'm just such a friend with that i thought he was here before and he never was i've

  • 1:33:38

been to his [ __ ] yeah both places yeah so i'm honored before you gentlemen say anything i have to play

  • 1:33:45

music from you guys that i love yeah they told me i couldn't show love to

  • 1:33:51

your project because it's new york bias that's hate that's hate message oh

  • 1:33:58

[Music] jim yeah i'm getting back to this

  • 1:34:05

you're it seemed like for me you've taken like a stance and opening versus hard like it

  • 1:34:11

seemed like that's a conscious decision from you like this came on and i was like oh [ __ ]

  • 1:34:17

he bugging out at the top of the verse now the baby is that a conscious decision to open

  • 1:34:23

verses with just some flagrant [ __ ] and then go or is it just happening yeah that's definitely conscious i mean

  • 1:34:30

you know bringing that to my attention freddie gosselin used to bring that to my channel wrestling pizza

  • 1:34:35

i need that mic clothes he used to call me ricky henderson you got to lead off capo you already know you got to lead off

  • 1:34:41

and and that's i mean [ __ ] but cam always said bro don't ain't no time for tucking no rhymes

  • 1:34:49

fit your hardest and then you always going to be able to make a you dig like you got to do it again

  • 1:34:55

don't don't tuck nothing always put your best round first don't hold don't try to be go as hard as you can off top like

  • 1:35:03

[ __ ] to hold the big joker to the end of the hand just play yes all right let me get into a little bit

  • 1:35:09

    of this park's gonna get a bias situated these [ __ ] came with [ __ ] with muscles

  • 1:35:15

    just like you would expect

  • 1:35:20

fresh off that summer jam stage mic check one two one two one two one

  • 1:35:26

two want too i want to be a dj so bad yo

  • 1:35:34

i'll say this respectfully i don't know when y'all did this song but by this point in the album

  • 1:35:40

it sounded like you got tired of him opening verses that way this actually was the first song for

  • 1:35:47

real it's the first song that's the first song we did it's the first song oh so that was that that was the first

  • 1:35:53

first song energy that was the the [ __ ] that had put i was like oh this one that's how we decide we're coming cool

  • 1:35:59

this is what we doing then jim before you got here i was talking to mano yeah about street [ __ ] with

  • 1:36:06

    stylists yeah

  • 1:36:16

look at my guy look at this you know all right let me let me actually no get you on ice no because we bought this get

  • 1:36:22

    right to them yeah

  • 1:36:36

that was made by products listen to ice all super groups wear

  • 1:36:42

black leather bro we're super damn it's a black leather thing don't forget the black level that's right we can't do

  • 1:36:47

this all supergroups a supergroup with black leather you can't be a super group if you're not wearing black leather

  • 1:36:52

    that's what slaughterhouse [ __ ] up at [Music] 11.

  • 1:37:01

no no joe had to let the vest that's true that's true try to try to eat i mean

  • 1:37:06

you gotta have love tell me how tell me how let me get the journalist [ __ ] out the way tell me how you guys decided

  • 1:37:13

the former to former group this super group you speak give me that defining super group

  • 1:37:18

we listen we we talked about this so many years ago capo came up with the

  • 1:37:24

lobby boys i'm gonna be honest because you know this is back when when when rose

  • 1:37:30

and puff was saying that they was the bugatti boy so i sent him a song one day i said he'll jump on that for me he sent

  • 1:37:35

it back to me said shout out to the bugatti boys but me and mano we the lobby boys and i understood them we come

  • 1:37:41

from that con we come from that that that that that that pain that that you know that we had that in common you know

  • 1:37:48

that lost in them tenant buildings those ghettos it didn't matter that i was from brooklyn and he was from harlem because

  • 1:37:54

it's the same thing it don't matter the ghetto has those things in common where we congregate as young black men and

  • 1:38:00

hispanic men we same struggles against the same diversity so when he said that i got it and we talked about doing lobby

  • 1:38:08

boys project back then way back then but i'm telling you right now

  • 1:38:14

it wouldn't have been the same we in a way better place yeah okay i respect that so you all get

  • 1:38:20

together mm-hmm y'all say i'm gonna do a group and we're gonna make some music yeah

  • 1:38:28

respectfully yeah so y'all gonna spend time get together say we're gonna do a super group at this point is it we go in

  • 1:38:34

and make the music or off namesake we'll get the deal no no no we gonna make the music see

  • 1:38:41

that the first thing we said was gonna make 10 records in 10 days 10 days b and it was done

  • 1:38:46

but we had more than 10 nintendo but by the fourth record i kind of pulled maine to the side like

  • 1:38:52

um this [ __ ] sounded way iller than i thought it was going to sound

  • 1:38:58

like you got something there just keep it in the book like you did like this [ __ ] is sounding like we really might have something let's just dig in so

  • 1:39:04

from the the 10 days concept to putting it out last summer and once or not let's

  • 1:39:10

really let's do some [ __ ] and it went from just staying in the studio or all through the

  • 1:39:16

summer and all through the winter and getting some of the illest verses and beats and produce is it just was so

  • 1:39:22

organic and the best thing about this [ __ ] was that we called the studio the lobby named it to

  • 1:39:28

the lobby and everybody that's on this album had it come to the lobby to do their music nobody wasn't no mp3s it

  • 1:39:36

wasn't those nothing everybody came everybody missing anybody came for action

  • 1:39:42

and everybody was fully equipped nobody was slacking nobody need no extra time nobody took it it was a great organic

  • 1:39:49

lit see now because a lot of people don't know i i don't i don't think i've been in the

  • 1:39:55

studio with maine when he did a verse but i've been in the studio with jim you record pretty quick

  • 1:40:02

that can be pressure for the other rapper in the room yeah yeah right

  • 1:40:07

yeah it's like for the goddess that is going in in 15 minutes i'm in the booth with this

  • 1:40:13

right but you know but but me me and jim was already

  • 1:40:18

having a a process that already was feeling good already a lot of times i was i was doing the records early before

  • 1:40:24

he got there because i wanted to i wanted to have i wanted him to have like different options to choose from like

  • 1:40:30

here i got like i got three four records jim tell me which one you think you feeling let's try this one let's try

  • 1:40:37

to i would like try to have like hooks done i will try to have the idea of the record already done so by the time he

  • 1:40:43

come down he like opened the main is quicker man is quick like we could go and we a

  • 1:40:48

record would get done in less than an hour yeah you heard and that's pretty good i'm just talking it could get done less than a half an hour but for for you

  • 1:40:55

dig like we've done records in 20 minutes we've done regulate but on average we're doing a record hour so

  • 1:41:02

we do three four records a night when we're in the studio so somebody like me hears

  • 1:41:07

your project and says damn they snatched every hot like every hot beat like you [ __ ] ears

  • 1:41:14

for beats is understated but y'all snatched every hot one that we would go after so it's like

  • 1:41:21

how do you do that how can somebody go grab the uh down bottom beat it felt to be like a

  • 1:41:27

evolution of mixtape well well you know what i'm saying but it's business it was the album so i had to get clear it was

  • 1:41:32

like all i got to do oh like i clicked everything got that that's why we that we purposely sat down

  • 1:41:38

and took the time to make sure all of these records get cleared properly so we could right put out the album that we wanted to put out or not

  • 1:41:45

a a second rate version of our first i mean can you tell us how you were able to do that so so look look the

  • 1:41:51

sound that you're hearing is is a sound that i feel like that nobody really was really doing

  • 1:41:56

right if you really really listen to what it is is that we didn't just sample it and just play it over like we

  • 1:42:02

sampled a lot of the horns and put it on the modern drums when you hear down bottom it's under modern trap drums and

  • 1:42:09

bass line yeah so what what the plan was was to to to kind of bridge the gap

  • 1:42:14

between classic and and fresh right now what's going on right now so that way we had

  • 1:42:19

the best of both worlds like it's young at the same time but then somebody that's 30 plus is like yo

  • 1:42:26

this that other joint like so you kind of get both that's i feel like you hear that with the records with like five your foreign and stuff like that for

  • 1:42:32

sure like yeah it's not like it don't take you away from that nostalgia of what you're hearing with the sounds exactly but bring fabio he right now

  • 1:42:39

yeah we was taking those beats and i would

  • 1:42:46

tell my producers like listen modernize the drums if we modernize the drums in the bass line

  • 1:42:52

they gonna because that's what they understand right the the horns or the piano is

  • 1:42:58

something that they they might know but the 20 the the 20 year old is not going to know the sound but he's going to

  • 1:43:04

respond to the dreams in the baseline man you getting both generations here you go you get both generations yes because the

  • 1:43:10

younger ones that's what they hear exactly the more that's know what down bottom the most interesting part for me though is like because y'all still like

  • 1:43:17

three og like east coast you know what i mean it's like how y'all didn't change like i'm we talking about the sound i'm talking about y'all sound y'all don't

  • 1:43:23

change your sound to feel like y'all still rat right right it's very

  • 1:43:28

that's so cool same pace same energy and it's still high level rapping though

  • 1:43:34

yeah once y'all did it i was like it just makes sense i told y'all before if you went back uh

  • 1:43:40

jim yep your album oh we set the trends it was a little bit of that on there and it's like yo he he was able to

  • 1:43:46

step onto a drill sound but keep up and sound moderation

  • 1:43:52

yeah it'd still be gym like i don't sound like i'm trying to be somebody else that's the key yeah a lot of people

  • 1:43:58

can't keep a lot of og's just like can't keep up there's a handful they're not that good though

  • 1:44:04

there's a medium like you got to come to him you dig like you got to know how to me and still reinvent yourself and be in

  • 1:44:09

the middle like yeah we're not chasing but we're also not going to be stuck in the past right i'm not going to be i'm

  • 1:44:14

not trying to get caught out there like special letting daddy kane and all i'm digging i'm trying to keep it pushing

  • 1:44:20

and no disrespecting nobody but you understand what i'm trying to say like i'm trying to keep it moving forward i'm trying to reinvent myself every time i

  • 1:44:26

come to the drawing board i'm not going to be i don't want to be you you know what i'm saying

  • 1:44:32

but can i say something real quick though i just want to throw this out there because it's somebody sitting on the couch just not

  • 1:44:38

saying something and i just want to put this out there i asked joe button

  • 1:44:45

on numerous occasions to pull up to the lobby

  • 1:44:51

to be on the lobby boys it's true album you got scared yes

  • 1:44:57

nah it's true no but let's just go listen bigger

  • 1:45:02

i want to come to the studio and get that energy the problem is they had that energy

  • 1:45:08

they had that energy in there i'm home on my little expensive couch in my room

  • 1:45:15

    yeah i'm turning my phone these [ __ ] in there this nigga's turning up i'm like yo that [ __ ] so hard no i'm a

  • 1:45:21

champion i can't wait to buy it yeah we really was out no but that's how i

  • 1:45:26

knew that y'all had some [ __ ] cause [ __ ] was coming to the studio to hear yeah like way before it was time

  • 1:45:34

and that's tough to do y'all y'all think that that adds right like when the [ __ ] really be there because that's what it

  • 1:45:40

does it's competitive it does from the bottom like oh that [ __ ] said oh hold up give me a minute let me go does i've

  • 1:45:46

sat yo look i'm gonna tell you that [ __ ] felt like a like like going to the go we was in the playoffs every night yeah

  • 1:45:51

yeah yeah right because everybody got to show up to the game betty was in there

  • 1:45:57

when benny came right what y'all dude so what happened is he didn't even tell me benny he was

  • 1:46:02

coming benny and him [ __ ] just walked in set him right up okay okay this is what it is it's on today so

  • 1:46:09

we sitting around [ __ ] like pull up a beat so i keep a batch of beats

  • 1:46:15

i pulled up the beat we all agreed on the beat we started writing

  • 1:46:22

    now i'm saying man

  • 1:46:27

    i'm sad okay hold on like i can't i can't even play with this [ __ ] my [ __ ] like

  • 1:46:33

i gotta like so i tell my poor mother for one of my producers i said yo listen i'm i'm almost ready though bro he said

  • 1:46:40

if you ready go he said i don't know first i don't want to go the first one

  • 1:46:47

i want anyone to hear what betty got to say i rap with capo every day so this is my partner i already know we mobbed deep

  • 1:46:53

in this [ __ ] like we we we we already got a system but this [ __ ] penny here

  • 1:46:59

y'all let it y'all let her kill him so i'm saying yo look i say yo

  • 1:47:04

this is what i'm saying he said that [ __ ] hard she said but listen my [ __ ] oh you switch to him

  • 1:47:17

he said yo man go ahead my [ __ ] this your house it's the lobby oh i said you know what i need more than

  • 1:47:24

that you're right [ __ ] now and i went in and and it just so happened and it came

  • 1:47:29

together because it that that that first two bars that i said shout out to the [ __ ] that i got it out look out of the

  • 1:47:34

mud we we use that as the hook that was really part of my lines that was really part of my rap so it was crazy though it

  • 1:47:41

was sessions like that but still shopping still my [ __ ] like you you in there with spitters it's like you go you

  • 1:47:47

got to get busy [ __ ] like you know what i mean jimmy how you felt with benny walking

  • 1:47:52

it's go time it's gold time we're going to see the day it was a great game

  • 1:47:59

    it's a great game

  • 1:48:10

just what we did was so not normal in today's day of making music that's something that was done so

  • 1:48:17

often when we first got into the game so for us to actually be in the studio with the artist that was the flyer [ __ ] ever

  • 1:48:23

when styles p came through that was another crazy session yeah you went crazy that was another one you're sitting down

  • 1:48:29

there just popped up she called me she said y'all got my way to the studio i said i come on i'm here but it i feel

  • 1:48:36

like it was magic though my [ __ ] well we reckon we got still got a call we reckon but everybody everybody came

  • 1:48:42

the [ __ ] was though with fab and dave came through always a dope session yeah even young blue young blue i i ran into

  • 1:48:49

young blue at a boat bowling alley he said he was going he was going to be here the next day i said yo you know pull up he pulled

  • 1:48:56

up everybody it happened organically it was magic bro like it was like i don't

  • 1:49:01

know if we planned it that way but it was just like yo we got the best room in the city it's like a theater

  • 1:49:07

pull-up there was no party it was a vibe for the music like if you

  • 1:49:13

are artists that do music bro it was a vibe it was fun there was no way you could have come up with all the [ __ ]

  • 1:49:21

it was a bunch of real rappers [Music] they waiting for you to perform it was really like a basketball game just the

  • 1:49:28

arena and people sitting in here by the 30s and 40s they know we about to go in this booth yeah [ __ ] just waiting on

  • 1:49:34

them and their [ __ ] going in the whole everybody be like stuck you come out

  • 1:49:40

    like a [ __ ] scored

  • 1:49:47

it was action-packed and it was like it was vibe but it felt it felt natural it was the

  • 1:49:53

pressure was to perform but it felt good though like you know it was it was it was it was the homies in there you know

  • 1:49:59

if you drink that was there for you if you smoked that was there for you you know everything that you was there for

  • 1:50:05

you you know what i mean we ate and you know we we we laughed and we bonded you know what i

  • 1:50:11

mean and it just felt good

  • 1:50:16

now you now you know now you know me now you know me and i will say that the

  • 1:50:22

women were with me please of course we don't even we don't put that on

  • 1:50:27

but jim nobody looks at the gym like that the 30 women out there

  • 1:50:33

always with me yes please specifically yeah expensive i got it specified that's germainiac

  • 1:50:42

oh no he told you but jim you told him i told you on every verse every song every verse

  • 1:50:49

i [ __ ] the stripper i [ __ ] the bartender but then on every burst too hey that last breakup hurt me

  • 1:50:55

whoa that one yeah yeah yeah i'm listening to y'all lyrics you need the pills to get over that yeah no no no no

  • 1:51:01

honestly i'm listening to y'all lyrics to get over there you know the thing man it's

  • 1:51:06

it's uh you know it's an elise but i felt bad before you start i felt bad like when

  • 1:51:11

i'm listening to the lyrics and i hear that that's like a prominent point that you are making in verses i'm like i've

  • 1:51:17

seen this [ __ ] may know a million times and i never thought to even think hey i wonder how he's handling a breakup

  • 1:51:25

like that's a common thing that you think with one of your [ __ ] after a breakup right right

  • 1:51:30

and then i'm listening and it sounded like oh you handle them shit's like me not good

  • 1:51:36

it's not too well it looks good on the outside sticker here crumbling on the

  • 1:51:43

inside on the late night and doing more and doing bad [ __ ] as we

  • 1:51:49

go oh man it kind of makes you more empty a little bit yeah i mean yo you know the thing about the music and in

  • 1:51:55

life like for me like the music always been like a release you know what i mean sometimes you get caught up in a life and a lifestyle and you get caught up in

  • 1:52:01

the moment sometimes i've been i've been caught up in moments that i just didn't want to let go you know what i mean

  • 1:52:22

but check this out though like moments right because i had i had this conversation

  • 1:52:28

[Music] one of my women friends and she was like you talking all this stuff you talking

  • 1:52:34

crazy and i'm saying don't take it all literal right i didn't i didn't literally you know lick that [ __ ] in her kid's room

  • 1:52:42

all right that wasn't literal that wasn't true all right it's not illiterate cause you fell asleep she took me home

  • 1:52:51

it was the kitchen all right now this is a great point this is the problem we have with black art right it's too literal

  • 1:53:01

it's all art it's freedom of speech and it's art and people like

  • 1:53:06

listen we talk about that here all the time about what they're doing with lyrics and what we think about all these cases

  • 1:53:13

and [ __ ] yes [ __ ] being up here you you you own this [ __ ] four times five times a week you run it out of

  • 1:53:18

content yo yo when the last time you ate that [ __ ] you gotta come up with something whoa she can't take it off

  • 1:53:39

when i say like i say something like waking up with strippers man i'm getting too old for that like it come from like

  • 1:53:45

a real place like sometimes when we questioning what we got going on no not literally

  • 1:53:51

what i'm saying but it comes from

  • 1:54:05

yo listen see what i'm saying is that coming from a real place but don't take it too literally what i'm saying is that

  • 1:54:12

as men like we we on our journey right we we look at ourselves in the mirror sometimes we say damn i need to i need

  • 1:54:18

to do more of this i need to slow down on that i need to make some sort of improvisions on on certain things in

  • 1:54:25

life and that is where sometimes the thought comes is party and it's pain at the same time and it's like it's

  • 1:54:32

functioning and dysfunction and at the same time we up and we down we go out potter man that's what you're saying

  • 1:54:40

[ __ ] what happened in miami man can you tell us which time you said it in the verse know the time what's time in miami

  • 1:54:48

when i woke up on my uh the rolex got missing yeah that's the time oh yeah that's what happened i was high for two mollies doing wrong right

  • 1:54:56

you're doing wrong right you're doing wrong right

  • 1:55:01

right that's different from when ricky lost your automotive yeah that's different time because right he lost it and it wasn't mine he

  • 1:55:07

lost that wasn't that wasn't on me that's a lot of loss yeah they take bosses in this game this is life this is a journey but what i'm telling you is

  • 1:55:13

that this i was at a place in my life while i was at like a

  • 1:55:18

like a confused state and doing things that i probably never did or shouldn't have been doing

  • 1:55:24

and i was caught up in the moment and i was caught up in a life and and it was something happened to me in miami that

  • 1:55:31

you know i was at a booby trap i went back had the room and then you know

  • 1:55:37

yeah i was out of my mind passed out woke up rolex gone

  • 1:55:42

and i had to really i had to really look at myself and say like yo you you he forgot he hit me and all that

  • 1:55:50

because i had the the lady was on instagram talking about this not my [ __ ] this is not my [ __ ] so i had to really

  • 1:55:57

look at myself for for what it's worth like my [ __ ] you got the opportunity to be great

  • 1:56:03

this is not great this is you calling yourself a king but this ain't king [ __ ]

  • 1:56:08

    what's up

  • 1:56:22

i tell you one thing and i never was a drug i never i never did drugs but i did like miley right yeah i never but you're

  • 1:56:29

just a drummer i understand that i'm trying to keep

  • 1:56:34

going crazy but this is that this is at a specific time that's the question though yeah

  • 1:56:48

i'm trying to describe a specific time of my life nah but the dude that never did drugs and then does drugs that should usually don't go the greatest and

  • 1:56:55

molly is the drug you start with right now i'm specifying a specific time in my

  • 1:57:00

life it's a moment i look at this different female i look at this different female right this is why i bring this up no matter what you say

  • 1:57:07

right now it's gonna come off to me as a blessing right that's right what the [ __ ] is going on here that's right

  • 1:57:13

what oh come on i figured that about it

  • 1:57:19

no that's why i bring it up right because whatever you say right now i take it as a blessing on this pod we've been

  • 1:57:24

talking about discernment and hip hop when it comes to the women that we sleep with because of the results that we're seeing happen

  • 1:57:30

right right here right where the lineup you just got to be wary of the lineup at

  • 1:57:37

all times so all right she took a watch or a watch got missing that's right that's all it got missing and thank god

  • 1:57:43

yeah the lord those are blessings those are lessons those are lessons and that it took me

  • 1:57:49

having to you know learn that lesson to get my my my act together so sometimes the lessons

  • 1:57:55

    come hard right whoa

  • 1:58:01

that was yeah that was a bit crazy but you understand what i'm saying though yo you see how brooklyn harlem tension

  • 1:58:07

existed right that was crazy though but you understand sometimes the lessons

  • 1:58:12

come in and it smacks you in the face and you're just like whoa all right yeah

  • 1:58:28

you know what i'm saying though

  • 1:58:34

ice was saying ice brought your name up he asked me some stupid question about the king of new york and i hate that

  • 1:58:40

question i don't give a [ __ ] about who the king of new york is but he did mention your name in that conversation let me ask you gentlemen

  • 1:58:47

what king of new york means and did you all ever put anybody in that

  • 1:58:53

in your life i don't really i don't really play with the king thing i mean i like how many put it we all kings

  • 1:59:01

you dig we all kings in our own right but that's the problem without been probably in our city from the get-go is that

  • 1:59:08

for the for what i can remember has always been somebody to take claim of they was the

  • 1:59:14

king of york from the kumo dean of errors from back from charis one correct all of them all

  • 1:59:20

the way up to now so this is what me and mano are doing is breaking that stigma of it's not one person that runs this

  • 1:59:27

[ __ ] it's all of us that make this [ __ ] run together you dig like and

  • 1:59:33

we bring the unity together he's from brooklyn fulham everybody know that and the way we met is even illa so what we

  • 1:59:39

showing people is cut the [ __ ] bro let's get a dollar together yeah

  • 1:59:46

i like it i like it yeah i like it [Music] that's what's been missing in here

  • 1:59:52

that's that's what you think of the fall uh our position you know we used to run hip-hop new york

  • 1:59:59

we now have condos to come to atlanta them [ __ ] work together everybody should come to atlanta atlanta took that

  • 2:00:05

they worked together because they worked together and even in the midst of most of them [ __ ] having their own quads

  • 2:00:12

they still show it out to make it you're right to push the same envelope forward we don't do that no we let it be known

  • 2:00:19

we got a problem with him it's our tan i'm just i'm the i'm the king of this [ __ ] you heard and that bring

  • 2:00:25

that comes with so much you dig that's one thing i've always watched is that comes with so heavy as the hair well

  • 2:00:30

because we perpetuate it it can only be one king and everybody's just saying this is i'm the king i'm the king i'm

  • 2:00:37

the king but we like yo look bro you are the king but i'm a king too

  • 2:00:44

so then when you see jim jones and mano and fabulous and davis and this one and that one you see us all together

  • 2:00:50

none of us is less king everybody's a king right i feel like that that'll help

  • 2:00:57

turn the tide on some of the on on the way that we looked at and the way we look at each other because

  • 2:01:04

we don't got to stand on each other to get money and it's we team up we can get more money right

  • 2:01:10

for sure that's what's going on that's the part that's always skipped and that's just outside of hip-hop that's in that's him

  • 2:01:17

get them deals get bigger than you i'm telling you we come together like it's like yo we get money like so much has

  • 2:01:22

happened in our favor for us doing this album together and never forget mano has platinum records i

  • 2:01:29

have platinum records he has his own fan base i have our own fan base we've both been in this game so

  • 2:01:35

everything is working together for us now [ __ ] that didn't like me but they [ __ ] with mango now [ __ ] with me because

  • 2:01:41

they're like gym it's just not hyper stuff [ __ ] like me

  • 2:01:46

    oh musically musically musically musical

  • 2:01:55

it worked in our favor the opportunities come even more because i wanted to ask i want to ask y'all y'all have your

  • 2:02:02

playoff experience in the studio having a blast turning up your [ __ ] in there swimming in there we having a blast

  • 2:02:07

right but at some point the music is done and now it's time to put our brains together and say all right what do we do

  • 2:02:12

with this did y'all face any did y'all face any

  • 2:02:19

anything from like music executive type people that try to age us out

  • 2:02:24

no no we ain't they we don't we don't we ain't hit nothing no we're not even

  • 2:02:30

    supposed

  • 2:02:36

we don't put ourselves in that position they can't we not that i totally don't even believe in that like i totally

  • 2:02:42

absolutely throw that whole thought away that none of that [ __ ] means nothing the

  • 2:02:48

only requirement is that we make dope music we flies [ __ ] we look good as [ __ ] this

  • 2:02:54

is not sports i'm not running up and down yeah okay

  • 2:02:59

this is music and the reason why you didn't have a 30 year old rapper 25

  • 2:03:04

years ago is because the culture itself wasn't old enough true sir you understand you got

  • 2:03:11

you got grandmothers that's that's that's 50 years old right now that was

  • 2:03:17

30 years old 20 years ago that absolutely loved hip-hop they didn't

  • 2:03:22

stop becoming fans because they got older and that's a fact right

  • 2:03:28

say it again actually they really want to [ __ ] with this more than a new [ __ ] yeah yo listen the music don't change if you

  • 2:03:35

if like or every everybody in this culture that was born into hip-hop it don't change what else is

  • 2:03:42

they gonna listen to the same way that our mothers and our grandmothers listen to the music in the 70s and that's the music that they love that's what they

  • 2:03:47

love what do we know are we okay they're on be a new army that's what they on hip be born in hip-hop that's

  • 2:03:53

that's it that's [ __ ] that's it that's it that's like religion like you don't know nothing else and you keeping up with the

  • 2:04:00

times you're not changing the station your station is still hot 97 still power 105 like

  • 2:04:06

that's forever that's all you know but also i got to give you two gentlemen credit right because y'all are two of

  • 2:04:12

the elder state statesmen that seem to make it a point to [ __ ] with the youth yes indeed like

  • 2:04:20

you kind of got sick you don't have to stop you don't have to

  • 2:04:31

but in my position i do it because i didn't have [ __ ] like me when i was coming up man have no guidance me and

  • 2:04:37

cam learned by going up against the brick wall we we learned about all the mistakes that we made we didn't have

  • 2:04:42

nobody telling us what to do what to do like if i we if i'm not saying i needed that

  • 2:04:47

but that [ __ ] would have been dope to help us from bumping ahead all the time and [ __ ] like that you did so in turn

  • 2:04:53

these are the things that i want to school the youngest on how this wicked ass game and how to get them some money nah i could do this

  • 2:04:59

i could vouch for both these [ __ ] you know i mean like being a younger rapper you know what i'm saying like not even cause they're his like i'm not to say no

  • 2:05:06

names i've come across certain rappers well you'll see a [ __ ] out and you know a [ __ ] know you and a [ __ ] just keep it pushing jim pull up to the prop jim

  • 2:05:13

is on the roof in north with me we shot our video on the roof in newark jimmy pull up with 50 [ __ ]

  • 2:05:19

i mean he pulled right up we looking down you see the cars pull up like man they see me in short hills mall oh what's up exchange personal line my

  • 2:05:25

phone ring his it ain't never no weird [ __ ] with certain [ __ ] you know what i mean like you could tell it's genuine

  • 2:05:31

and they really like oh not like you know what i mean like i always say like some [ __ ] you could tell they was there yeah these [ __ ] was outside yeah

  • 2:05:37

and they respect younger [ __ ] that's outside you know what i mean so when a [ __ ] see you it's like oh now what's up

  • 2:05:43

it's as opposed to the other [ __ ] why i just don't feel like really been there in the first place to respect the [ __ ] that's outside like that to whereas they

  • 2:05:50

    show that type these [ __ ] always show love [ __ ] [ __ ] the game yeah

  • 2:05:57

yes and that [ __ ] is whack i always thought that was whack i always put my [ __ ] on

  • 2:06:03

to all the games like man i agree it's not my money that's right oh break

  • 2:06:08

the banks and that's the older [ __ ] mentality that's not my mentality i'm putting everybody on the game that's how i got

  • 2:06:14

the bag that's how you can get the bag that's how you can get the bag that's how you gonna try this but i never found videos like you

  • 2:06:19

stepped out of music years ago i was like yo i'm gonna go get the bag over here but i'm gonna show you how to get it

  • 2:06:25

i never counted that saying as if they meant it for us and our [ __ ] though right what what's that what's saying

  • 2:06:30

that how many [ __ ] gave you a loop in this industry absolutely not oh right then so what you think that come from yeah the

  • 2:06:37

game is to be sold not told you know they can't make a dollar off for you right

  • 2:06:47

off you they need control even if the dollars ain't coming from them they still not gonna get you no

  • 2:06:52

bread it's crazy yeah it's terrible and as far as with the young with the young [ __ ] i love i love the young [ __ ]

  • 2:06:57

and everybody know that like i have more in common with them you understand like my whole upbringing i was a young [ __ ] that was

  • 2:07:03

    in the street i went to prison i was 16 17 years old so i was a young [ __ ] i identified with being a young [ __ ] so

  • 2:07:10

you know when i say i got young [ __ ] energy i'm an og by my felonies i mean that you understand so it's it's the

  • 2:07:17

it's it's all about the energy it's all about uh you know how the way you present yourself because you know i was

  • 2:07:23

a young [ __ ] in the street that was looking at older [ __ ] like i respect you but if you think you're gonna come home on some other [ __ ] we're gonna

  • 2:07:30

leave you right so i understood because i i i've been that you see time it's just time bro it's no

  • 2:07:36

such thing as age bro it's just time my [ __ ] just some people been here longer than others some people been here a long

  • 2:07:42

a short amount of time the only thing matters is now but at what point did you say because we were talking off mike

  • 2:07:48

outside at what point in that journey that you speak of did you make the decision to stop trying

  • 2:07:53

to win the real [ __ ] awards and put on the hoochie daddy [ __ ] yeah look at me [ __ ] look at me

  • 2:07:59

    i don't know look at me look at me [ __ ] look at me [ __ ] yeah i don't i'm not out here looking

  • 2:08:05

listen let me tell you something

  • 2:08:14

    [Music] [ __ ] crazy

  • 2:08:29

don't do that y'all started this you and your man freaky [ __ ] first of all man it's called freaky shows his shorts

  • 2:08:35

is too freaky that was worse my [ __ ] you wet first of all hold on you wear the same exact shorts that i

  • 2:08:41

wear the same exact type of shorts they above your knees [ __ ] look at them your knees

  • 2:08:48

    just out

  • 2:08:56

let me tell you why because they don't make them long no more

  • 2:09:15

and then when you sit down they raise up it is what it is it's okay

  • 2:09:20

i really feel like it's 83 out here it's all right well i'm just just looking forward to i'm embracing this verse

  • 2:09:27

out here it's okay with me though [ __ ] i'm embracing it it's all right then you won't be you don't want to be caught out here looking like you just came home on

  • 2:09:33

work at least all them legs squats y'all do y'all straight [ __ ] legs

  • 2:09:42

    jim don't do legs

  • 2:09:58

the lobby boys yeah can i share your beef too okay share it

  • 2:10:04

i watched you gentlemen on uh million dollars worth of games

  • 2:10:10

and then wallow was making a joke wallow said yo who you think of winning the verses

  • 2:10:17

gilly or joe button now you two [ __ ] laugh that's fly with me i don't care about that but it was one negative who i beat in

  • 2:10:23

the verses and what [ __ ] was that you

  • 2:10:37

    get all these other podcasts

  • 2:10:54

when i was in joe uh joe button's room when you had all the people in there you had that girl with the fat ass

  • 2:11:02

liking everything what up yeah you don't talk about it

  • 2:11:22

hey oh you tried me just now yeah i didn't

  • 2:11:29

like that yes no no no no no no no no no no ended him we was all clocked up you

  • 2:11:35

    ended up

  • 2:11:43

smoking them it was like it was like yo amanda got some records too six seven

  • 2:11:48

manual got records to three it was it was just dogging them like and then what happened was

  • 2:11:54

darken them what happened was he tried to he he tried he played pump

  • 2:11:59

it up and then put with with the jay-z verse and as two songs it's like oh it was a technicality

  • 2:12:13

[Music] that's my song no but it was one song bro you tried to play this too like no

  • 2:12:19

what happened was i'll tell the truth because maynardo probably should have won if he was keeping up with rounds but he wasn't so he thought it was round

  • 2:12:25

nine when it was round ten right so he played a round nine record and i played pump it up got him the [ __ ] out of here

  • 2:12:31

get out of here and he tried to come back with it all of your bubba is over now you go all the way above outside [ __ ]

  • 2:12:38

i thought y'all went in yeah we went in we went but i'll tell you what he's trying to

  • 2:12:44

    play

  • 2:12:53

    [Music]

  • 2:13:00

[ __ ] i tell you what y'all call me anytime you're looking for me yeah versus that

  • 2:13:06

line line it up wait now i got to talk to you about version line it up shut up

  • 2:13:12

listen jim jim before you got here i'm be honest

  • 2:13:17

juel said he wanted banks in the verses and i talked about it here um but before he said that he said what

  • 2:13:24

it's about the first time well he said that he disrespected bleak name first i didn't like that

  • 2:13:30

none of us like that jim nasty jim honestly i didn't like that i'm going to be honest with you okay

  • 2:13:36

that's crazy that's crazy to say that way look how we said it with the shrugs blink my man but let's like come on come

  • 2:13:44

on come on what come on what yo history of what we did when we went

  • 2:13:51

inside that building we know what you did yeah we okay then we didn't hit but it's a run of fade this ain't like dip

  • 2:13:56

set get the run up and run the fade with this don't forget wells is a multi-platinum

  • 2:14:02

artist not not at all we spoke with all that you did but but every one of his singles went multi like it's the too

  • 2:14:07

    easy so yeah so so

  • 2:14:20

[Applause] one of the hardest records just coming

  • 2:14:26

on hey wait hold on i see what's going on hey okay coming of age is coming on i'm getting [ __ ] the whole show

  • 2:14:31

man but bleak no it's not like come on bro it's the same i feel like it's a good fight

  • 2:14:38

yeah but wait now i want to ask about that too today was my first time hearing that

  • 2:14:43

and how did that come up um summer journey summer jam oh summer gym i saw you yeah when you were you said ass one

  • 2:14:49

day in the guts game they had my ass pinned against the wall jay had me smothered in the gum game one day bro i

  • 2:14:55

had a ball like twelve thousand for bleep and then and look how you sit here talking about it that's my man

  • 2:15:02

you said that dawg you know but we're gonna get to with the factual actual we like all right the verses what went on

  • 2:15:08

with with a lot shout out to the locks locks his greatest group of all time they definitely have a brotherhood

  • 2:15:14

that's unmatched not saying we don't have a brotherhood but everybody knows there's been a lot of separations and

  • 2:15:20

all type of discrepancies and back and forth throughout the year so our brotherhood ain't a close-knit as theirs

  • 2:15:26

is right so when it comes to their performance when it comes to their stage presence when it comes to all that they got that and they got that intact yeah

  • 2:15:35

and you think that's where you all lost it we some horrible [ __ ] that we just think we just could do anything we want and we gonna end up coming on top you

  • 2:15:41

heard i mean i know why we lost but i'm not getting into that part okay you dig okay and i i i don't

  • 2:15:49

i got it you did i know why we lost i listen i let i let somebody else tell the story i hope

  • 2:15:55

somebody be truthful sooner or later it wasn't the music wasn't the dj's or

  • 2:16:00

anything it was it was a fair fight it got funky but i cause then i heard you i heard you and

  • 2:16:06

angie say that you wouldn't mind some more versus smoke yeah i would like me myself jim jones i do have a hell of a

  • 2:16:12

castle in new york city if we're gonna do a versus in new york city [ __ ] right yeah i can give a lot of people a

  • 2:16:18

headache you're [ __ ] right in new york but ain't nobody but there ain't nobody

  • 2:16:24

to do that this is what i'm saying i got 90 smoke i got 2 000 smoke i got 210

  • 2:16:31

smoke and now i got 20 22 smoke i really want smoke in new york

  • 2:16:36

yeah listen like you said the first one ain't nobody gonna do it

  • 2:16:42

    old [ __ ] young [ __ ] put him up there i don't know yeah

  • 2:16:49

i don't know oh joke all strokes inside put the jokes in the corner whoo

  • 2:16:55

i can really do a record from 2000 and just go straight to the channel

  • 2:17:06

yo i don't like how y'all talking about bleak i'll be honest i ain't talking about anybody you heard jada uh who else

  • 2:17:13

in new york uh fat i'll do it with fab but fab already did one yeah fab got some hella new york records fat might be the only only one

  • 2:17:19

that i really banks what's wrong with banks i smoke bank's head up right now

  • 2:17:32

    is

  • 2:17:43

i should just say the rap is just the package when i come out they want to see couple it's not too many [ __ ] that got

  • 2:17:48

that package like you and joelle is targeting banks

  • 2:17:53

titan banks up is crazy no i don't mind who you think would win i just don't like how these [ __ ] got records jim

  • 2:18:00

could talk to the wizards like different tyra right now 2022 yeah

  • 2:18:05

ain't no walk in the park no soda what's up

  • 2:18:18

    i'm not nostalgic [ __ ] i'm still lit the difference

  • 2:18:26

what's the last record they did that really meant something to somebody out here that they could still get jiggy with not to be disrespectful we talking

  • 2:18:32

    hip-hop that's what we do right let's be factual you're here you're the hip-hop almanacs and [ __ ] like

  • 2:18:43

    [Music]

  • 2:18:51

has an opinion to come up here and say cowboy bugging the [ __ ] i smoke his head up he knows i don't care how they told me talking about verses but i'm very

  • 2:18:58

confident in where i'm at right in new york city this is the what if you

  • 2:19:03

know how the comic books used to do what if and the fans get to still play like that so there is a verses that they talk

  • 2:19:10

about that would be interesting you don't have to speak on it and of course it would never happen but they

  • 2:19:15

continuously float you in cam's name that would be fire they continuously flow out with a fire and when they do i

  • 2:19:22

do think he'll be fine though he's gonna have a hell of a very very very hard time and that's my heart very

  • 2:19:28

hard he's like us playing basketball back in the day he's gonna have a hard time no i agree

  • 2:19:34

and i'm not gonna have an easy time i agree cause cam is very witty you did cam know how to freestyle cam got bars

  • 2:19:41

he started this [ __ ] from back in the day and has a hell of a fan base and also he knows me a lot it's a hell

  • 2:19:48

of a battle you heard if we're going to go with showmanship and all that it's going to be held but cam no

  • 2:19:54

yo what record what record got jim lit in new york solo certified gangsters

  • 2:20:10

the very first record i dropped oh my god it was a bomb the tortoise city up heavy

  • 2:20:18

tunnel speed 100 bloods with me every trip manual in there well he ain't make it to the

  • 2:20:23

tunnel but when he came out he was ice grilling and [ __ ] like he had a problem with me all the time he started making it

  • 2:20:35

i understand that and it was certified gangster but it was [ __ ] on that record

  • 2:20:40

let me see i think the first solo regular miami no after that certified after certified

  • 2:20:46

gangsters with some some in miami that was the one that was that was baby girl that's what i'm about to say

  • 2:20:55

wait a minute that was there's nobody on this record but jim

  • 2:21:01

jones there's nobody who can attribute it it was the win right because certified

  • 2:21:06

and that was just a slap but it was just a slap so [ __ ] ain't really give jim the credit i feel like and then someone with miami came but the

  • 2:21:13

[ __ ] liked it trey was throwing it and it was a good girl recording in the summer so [ __ ] didn't give gemini

  • 2:21:19

when it was jump baby girl came out and i was there i was outside in the city there was nobody else to there's no

  • 2:21:27

ballin now that's now that's three records you just named that's just three records you just named

  • 2:21:32

and those are heaters right that's just what's crazy i might want to come out and do a little

  • 2:21:38

day and night just because i put cuddy on cookie cutter hurricanes don't hurt you spicy [ __ ]

  • 2:21:44

crazy [ __ ] why are you saying what you said why did you say it literally i put them on i know but why you said it and like you said it because that's

  • 2:21:50

literally how it happened y'all lying yeah i love them the [ __ ] where i ain't saying nothing wrong it's

  • 2:21:55

about cuddy yeah it was just a little spicy i mean [ __ ] that was spicy talk that was spicy it might have been the

  • 2:22:00

way that the people wrote about it maybe my spice is his mouth i thought it was possible i told people

  • 2:22:06

how history went like [ __ ] if it wasn't for me we would definitely not have kid cudi

  • 2:22:12

well nobody would have heard the record nobody would know who he was remember a side

  • 2:22:18

a director that was nobody just trying to get on directing the people that he knew on the street was trying to do a

  • 2:22:24

video with me you heard the first video they showed me that they did i said let me see a video they did was the kid cudi video that

  • 2:22:30

record was on it i said [ __ ] tell them send that beat and you could i'm gonna remix that record you could do the video

  • 2:22:35

to that i put it on youtube [ __ ] that had 97 took it off youtube and started playing it on hot 97. nobody knew who kit cutty

  • 2:22:42

was but jim jones had this dope ass record where he's doing his singing on it and it got added to hot 97

  • 2:22:49

and then his manager got him a deal off of that took me off the record and

  • 2:22:54

cutty kanye all that went crazy but i was never mad about it i'm just telling people how i was about to say in hindsight dude do you understand that

  • 2:23:00

i'm gonna pay them tomorrow when i get their phone huh in hindsight do you understand that move like the manager doing that or you feel

  • 2:23:07

like because they could have gone about it differently who was was what's his manager name um uh

  • 2:23:14

cassidy was it dj khaled was the cass again uh

  • 2:23:19

um whatever you know you know you know these dude but i wasn't i don't like i'm not that type of person you heard there

  • 2:23:25

was a plenty of situations where i've been in where i definitely was instrumental in playing these situations

  • 2:23:44

never wanted a dollar for him i see him all the time like [ __ ] the truth for me is sometimes better than gold like i don't care about that [ __ ] that wasn't

  • 2:23:50

part of my vision i wasn't part of my money i didn't i don't count on any i can't know what i'll count on you hurt

  • 2:23:56

anytime i can help somebody i do something i'll do it because i could do it i don't do it because i want something in in the back of it you dig i'm not one

  • 2:24:03

of them people speaking of summer in miami i'ma say this and hope that sir foreign

  • 2:24:09

can move with a question from mayno and you don't have to say anything i really like how you don't how you didn't

  • 2:24:17

talk about anything that they were trying to get you to talk about that was dope what are you talking about anything

  • 2:24:23

about miami anything about like when you did your interviews and the interviewer [ __ ] tried to get you to talk about anything

  • 2:24:29

that happened in miami you handled all that [ __ ] like a jig and and i came in here to say oh we need

  • 2:24:36

more of that young [ __ ] we need more than keeping it pee no i don't know what that

  • 2:24:53

but there was a time there was a time when i would have used it as allegedly something like that i would

  • 2:24:59

have used it to my but that's not like i grew out of that that [ __ ] didn't help me where we it's it's kind of productive

  • 2:25:05

it's counterproductive to entertain [ __ ] like that especially when his lies that's what make both for you [ __ ]

  • 2:25:10

dope right like sometimes that's too fast sometimes that's twofold though because

  • 2:25:16

sometimes [ __ ] need to be put in a place

  • 2:25:23

if if you leave room for [ __ ] to deny some [ __ ] sometimes like sometimes some [ __ ] gotta be on camera

  • 2:25:30

sometimes you understand before they lost

  • 2:25:40

certain people i'm just saying it's just certain people that you know

  • 2:25:45

they they deserving of certain things right and it's like

  • 2:25:50

it needs to be very well known it needs to be documented because that's what they deserve

  • 2:25:55

that's not what we're going to do but any documented even if footage is never going to matter

  • 2:26:02

all right we back lobby how long how long because y'all both got [ __ ] going on

  • 2:26:08

right yeah like you're a successful podcaster you got a deal round of applause please

  • 2:26:14

what can you tell us you could tell us about that little hey listen man look look i learned from

  • 2:26:21

the best you came i called you i got some advice from you don't [ __ ] lie

  • 2:26:26

did i get some advice from you oh sure all right i got advice from you

  • 2:26:31

right and um you know and and we doing what we do [Laughter]

  • 2:26:46

that's the best way what's the name of the podcast kitchen talk they know what it is joe button been there i i stole mano's

  • 2:26:54

uh chef i need her number again i'll let you i'll let you have her she make a good one yes i'll let you have

  • 2:27:00

    the santa bite

  • 2:27:10

tell me about balancing being a successful podcaster and a rapper i wouldn't call myself a successful

  • 2:27:17

podcast i feel like i provide the vibe i feel like that is just another company

  • 2:27:22

do you get paid for that yeah of course then you're very successful at it of course but

  • 2:27:27

thousands of podcasts out there that don't get paid for milk so you have very successful millions what you're doing listen

  • 2:27:34

to my millions i feel like i feel like when it comes to

  • 2:27:39

that i feel like i provide the vibe i feel like we run this show in a certain kind of way i don't feel like i'm media you know i feel like that's just another

  • 2:27:46

component that i that that that i do that's for my brand overall i feel like right now in the in where we at uh in

  • 2:27:54

the game that you can have many different components you can you can have a show you know you you can be

  • 2:28:00

about your music you can act you can do so many different things i think this is the greatest time to do all that you

  • 2:28:06

know and that's what i wanted to do because when i started the podcast i didn't have no music

  • 2:28:11

and i told my god i said listen we're in a position to do something that nobody else is doing we could have this podcast

  • 2:28:17

going over here on the left but we can still be competing on the right with the music if we do that we doing something

  • 2:28:22

that nobody's been doing that's a track that's true you understand so you know i say like like

  • 2:28:28

join them step totally away from the right they don't want to do it so he's fully and you know engrossed into that

  • 2:28:35

right so but i said that we're in a position to do something totally different we're gonna start this lobby boy [ __ ] that's gonna put us right back

  • 2:28:41

in the game at the same time we still gonna have our show running and we and we up and going

  • 2:28:48

let me ask you hit that round of applause for this guy man fox oh

  • 2:28:55

[Applause] are y'all doing anything with the workout of course this is looking like of course we

  • 2:29:00

already got a show going on man um yeah revolt um we shot we shot uh the

  • 2:29:06

first episode for our fit lit thing you know uh reality reality uh fitlit fitlit

  • 2:29:12

you feel it feel it that's that's the that's the okay that's the fifth initiative

  • 2:29:19

it started with the fitness initiative that um started in the beginning of the year fab had this

  • 2:29:25

list of things and that grew into us just hitting the gym and creating a brotherhood and what people seeing on on

  • 2:29:31

the ig turned into diddy like now we gotta run this play for real

  • 2:29:36

[Music] these are four four four individuals that are all very successful at music or

  • 2:29:43

all very good fathers today kids like it's it's a it's a big dynamic like you don't ever get to see uh

  • 2:29:50

show from a man's point of view per se right for alpha males as strong in the game as

  • 2:29:57

we are and things like that who are very responsible at the same time so there's a lot that comes with it and we like to have a good time right you [ __ ] check

  • 2:30:04

your checks coming very well right and that's and that's and that's a dope thing in itself though because all of us

  • 2:30:10

together you know which which different individuals but so much in common you know you know black males in the rap

  • 2:30:16

game fatherhood all that we balancing it out you know we're going to the gym you know we working out

  • 2:30:22

cracking jokes on each other about the clothes and [ __ ] like that it's it's just a balance and it's dope because

  • 2:30:27

it's dope content because all of us got our lives and [ __ ] like that first episode we shot we talked i was i was

  • 2:30:34

talking to my son trying to get him to come to the gym he told me he needed an hour and a half to get ready so it's just that dynamic is is just

  • 2:30:41

dope and it's funny because it's like dude you need hour and a half to get ready to get to the gym he like yeah i got to do this and i got to do that like

  • 2:30:47

this is what you do every day like this i don't understand your process that's a great thing that you brought up

  • 2:30:53

give me the thing that you gentlemen as black fathers uh and we all dads here

  • 2:30:58

right yeah give me the thing that y'all are the most and of

  • 2:31:04

as famous fathers fathering your kids give me that said what you see what you

  • 2:31:10

may say give me what as you're raising your kid right what do you look at your kid and you are most in awe of like you

  • 2:31:17

you are most you've been fascinated by this looking at like for me right

  • 2:31:22

i look at where i was when i was 21 and i look at where my kid is at 21. i just

  • 2:31:27

think about i do side by side sometime and i stand back like flabbergasted like oh [ __ ] that's little [ __ ] in college

  • 2:31:33

and i had to buy my car he still won't go drive to go get like just [ __ ] like that for y'all what do y'all look at

  • 2:31:39

y'all kid and just you know some of y'all is in them but they're doing something different with what y'all gave them i i lo i love my

  • 2:31:46

son i love the person he is i love that uh he is he's absolutely not like me

  • 2:31:52

    that part um he's a he's a a good human right he's a

  • 2:31:58

he's a he got a good heart and and i love that about him i love the fact that he's a

  • 2:32:04

he's so unselfish right i love that he he he really

  • 2:32:10

understands and he's a he's a rider and that i admire that you know what i mean because um i didn't even get the chance to make

  • 2:32:16

it to be his age free right but he's 19 by the time i was

  • 2:32:22

19 i was what in southport or at uh clinton somewhere um

  • 2:32:27

so with that being said i'm amazed at his growth you know i'm looking at him and

  • 2:32:33

i'm saying he got here and i'm like wow like i grew up in prison

  • 2:32:38

and watching him develop and i didn't have that i didn't have that relationship with my father because he had passed

  • 2:32:45

and it was just like it's it's amazing to me you know to see him and to see the type of individual he is and see the

  • 2:32:51

type of person that you know um and him taking the life on having his own characteristics and being

  • 2:32:57

his own man that is amazing to me i don't really need it from you because i seen it with you on tv

  • 2:33:03

    [Music] the one thing

  • 2:33:10

that so like me said my son is the same thing total opposite for me

  • 2:33:16

very mild man cool laid back don't talk too much you know everybody knows pootie but you know so for him

  • 2:33:23

he's 19 i know he's about to go outside i know the world is different and um he didn't grow up

  • 2:33:28

same way i grew up so you know i know he's going to face up with some adversity as as and i always wouldn't

  • 2:33:35

to know if he's gonna be able to stay in this ground um in whatever situation in the most

  • 2:33:40

respectful way he can because i know he doesn't bother anybody but i seen the other day i got to see him

  • 2:33:46

stand up for himself when he was in a place of no need to talk about where he was at but i was watching him stand up

  • 2:33:52

for himself and the most impressive thing was that his first response wasn't

  • 2:33:58

[ __ ] you know my father is his first response was him talking to him like

  • 2:34:04

you heard like that's hard you did by the time they figured out who his father was it was

  • 2:34:09

it was a real zero all right you did so that and not to say you know and that's the worst thing for

  • 2:34:16

me to ever know that he got to go up against anything like that i don't want him out to get it but to know that he's going to stay in his ground was i felt

  • 2:34:23

you did i know you're about to go outside so it feels good that i know he'll be able to stand up for himself no matter where he's at without me being

  • 2:34:29

there yo let me ask you a question it's a little you because you [ __ ] me up you like yo my

  • 2:34:35

son different than me right because he got a good heart right if you ain't face the adversity you face you don't think

  • 2:34:41

you'll have a good heart i think you have a good art that's right like like now

  • 2:34:46

like we all come from the bottom right the bottom bottom right so the [ __ ] that you go through when you're

  • 2:34:52

running around shape shape it shapes you right your environment make you who you are right you know what i'm saying just to adjust and survive

  • 2:34:58

right so if you go to prison to survive in prison you gotta become an animal right you gotta understand but if you

  • 2:35:03

ain't never go to prison you might not he's the he's the he's the the truest form of me

  • 2:35:09

i think that he would he would be like who i was if if if life

  • 2:35:15

um and circumstances didn't harden me in a certain kind of way like didn't scar me in a certain type of way

  • 2:35:21

like he is he's probably the the the most purest form of me right there because he's

  • 2:35:27

unscathed by life he's he hasn't really had to deal with what i had to deal with you know what i mean so it's the same

  • 2:35:33

thing the best thing is to watch a son around that kid a father i mean a father around a kid a father that really loves

  • 2:35:39

their kid take care of their kid you could see it in the presence of them like when maine knows around zayn and [ __ ] like that

  • 2:35:45

i'm observant of everything and [ __ ] like that like it's like the same for me it's like looking at a mirror and [ __ ] like that

  • 2:35:51

like like you're digging we need to put that we have our sons around like we

  • 2:35:56

come to the studio come gym with us you know like we have them around and this i think it's dope to have them not

  • 2:36:02

    a father's like because there's a stigma that goes around that's why i made a poem

  • 2:36:08

because we don't get the credit that we deserve a little there's a lot yeah there's a lot of [ __ ] up mothers too

  • 2:36:13

sure but we don't bear down and all that [ __ ] like that we still highlight the fact that there's a mother's day and we

  • 2:36:19

give everybody just do but there's so many great fathers out there that do not get highlighted and do not get the

  • 2:36:24

credit they say oh that's the job you're supposed to do anyway well [ __ ] the same job the mother's supposed to do but at some point

  • 2:36:30

we're just as good as the mothers to these kids my son definitely hit me the other day talking about yo dog what you want to do

  • 2:36:35

for father's day and i'm like that like that's not my job

  • 2:36:41

you should set it up what the [ __ ] is he doing i got a question what so what would y'all like

  • 2:36:46

what would your advice be like to up-and-coming artists you feel me like a [ __ ] like me or somebody else

  • 2:36:51

coming up because you know like you find yourself you consider yourself up and coming [ __ ] if i ain't made it the way you

  • 2:36:57

[ __ ] you have a different lane though yeah that's true and you were you were giant in your lane that's true too everybody's

  • 2:37:03

journey is different you're a giant in in that world okay i appreciate that you feel me like you

  • 2:37:09

know looking up when you when you feel like you ain't made it the way [ __ ] made it always like you just chasing it and you think about it

  • 2:37:14

yeah pessimists don't overthink it because everybody everybody journey will be different

  • 2:37:19

everybody's not going to be drake or or this one or that and we shouldn't aspire to be we go we can only

  • 2:37:26

be the best us right so like when i think of you i think of uh one of

  • 2:37:32

the one of the premier artists in that culture right you understand which is um

  • 2:37:37

that's about a giant can it comes you're all creative especially now right right it's huge and not even premier artist

  • 2:37:44

godfather like you yeah people that started that giant when that [ __ ] was in the basement you

  • 2:37:50

sitting in the house watching y'all like that [ __ ] like that you know what i mean right so so other

  • 2:37:56

artists so other artists like trying to like balance like because we talk about fatherhood and and this fatherhood thing

  • 2:38:02

    is like it's it's it's a sacrifice it's a sacrifice for my child's future with tom

  • 2:38:08

100 so like and every artist knows that that's that's the sacrifice you give like i'm thinking about you at 18 19 20

  • 2:38:15

21 even though we're right here right now and you're none sacrifice yeah what's your advice

  • 2:38:22

you got to be there you got to get there you got to be there i don't care what goal i took i just took jets back to my

  • 2:38:27

son's football game i'm not missing it unless god is no way for me to get there bro right you just said it [ __ ] it's

  • 2:38:33

your balance your balance [ __ ] the balance is that make sure he sees you make sure that she sees you make sure

  • 2:38:39

you're there as much as possible and make sure that they know you take care of them of course there's gonna be instances where they know daddy's at

  • 2:38:44

work a lot of times for that but for the most part don't miss as much as you did like

  • 2:38:49

that's one of the things i always make even to this day like i just had to go crazy for this whole promise i'm not

  • 2:38:54

even know since he didn't that was so baby i'm going up i'm going for you you dig

  • 2:39:00

no matter what goes on you dig i'm going for you no matter what so that's what i can tell you that's that's how i go

  • 2:39:05

about mines i'm not missing nothing i'm not i'm i'm there [ __ ] all this because nobody was there for me and the one

  • 2:39:11

thing i wanted to turn around and show my father who's not this day bro i'm doing everything that you couldn't do for me because i know times are

  • 2:39:16

different back then tell me about the crypto crash [ __ ] that crypto crash you better have

  • 2:39:24

some cash i'm watching people get ready to jump out the window like this is the 87 wall

  • 2:39:30

street plumber like you [ __ ] is stupid if you put all your money inside of crypto and now you're losing your mind

  • 2:39:36

like everything comes with balance my brother why would you put everything inside that crypto like supposed to

  • 2:39:41

i don't even talk about that i have my own i have a cryptocurrency called capital coin and we all affected by certain

  • 2:39:47

things but we got to be smart like i tell people i'm not a financial advisor no i'm not nor am i not stupid i'm not

  • 2:39:53

putting all my eggs in one basket my mom told me that long time ago so why would

  • 2:39:58

y'all do that there it is there it is you still do this no but listen this is

  • 2:40:05

upside to this like everything that crashes goes back up so right now the crashes if you do have a little bit of

  • 2:40:10

money to play with to play with not stop buying it while that [ __ ] is low

  • 2:40:17

that [ __ ] go back up you're gonna get filthy rich quick and i need to take that [ __ ] out put the stash that's what that's been played with a little bit

  • 2:40:22

well that's where the [ __ ] come in because when you got companies like a binance and all that who now said oh everything is low guess what we're

  • 2:40:28

    holding transactions

  • 2:40:45

everybody's in a panic yeah but [ __ ] the guy that got it

  • 2:40:50

cause they happy that this happens when stocks plummet [ __ ] be sitting in the back like yes this is

  • 2:40:55

what i'm telling you maybe like yeah that [ __ ] up bitcoin

  • 2:41:10

definitely gonna snatch up a couple eaves in a couple a couple bits just because that's just

  • 2:41:15

because if you can sustain it if you've got money to sustain it you're gonna then then it's okay if you got money to play with i i always had some

  • 2:41:22

cryptocurrency i always you know had some you know money oh wait you know i had a couple coins

  • 2:41:29

always but every game yo it's it's cyclical every game yeah it's open real estate whether it's

  • 2:41:35

every game go up and go down i don't care what every game you know you're just going to what it is

  • 2:41:42

    you got to weather

  • 2:41:53

everything like basketball life really like a game of runs it seemed like like you just have a week and a half or you just feel like [ __ ] and then the next

  • 2:41:59

week everything hit him right yep everything's what do you think everything gucci like all of you look at

  • 2:42:05

the right but you got it but you got to learn how to how to deal with both

  • 2:42:10

both sides but you got to deal with you got to will

  • 2:42:15

yourself into the position that you want to be in though bro you got to will it you got to you got to you got to manifest that [ __ ] i'm big on that like

  • 2:42:22

    i like i come i'm a [ __ ] that never wrapped in his life yeah all right i was a [ __ ] i started

  • 2:42:28

rapping in prison in in southport 23 i was locked in every single day spending

  • 2:42:34

years in a box i started rapping under those conditions i was never no rap on my [ __ ] i had never had no aspirations

  • 2:42:40

about being a rapper i never had a dream never thought never nothing so what i'm saying is that you can will your way

  • 2:42:47

into some [ __ ] if you believe strong enough if you work hard enough and you and you and you like like

  • 2:42:53

your energy is just like i'm gonna get it [ __ ] it's either we gonna win or we gonna win and ain't

  • 2:43:00

no other in between like it ain't no it ain't it ain't no l because the l is really a lesson

  • 2:43:06

upon the journey anyway [ __ ] less than two he's only winning at the end of the day

  • 2:43:13

but that crypto [ __ ] is you got me thinking about that [ __ ] because i think i know how many people

  • 2:43:19

are losing a [ __ ] over it because some of these people were talking like they were god yeah

  • 2:43:24

you understand like some of these people were just way too far gone with it and had like they even got no reserve of

  • 2:43:30

what reality is but even with the even with the crypto crashes and the stock crashes we don't take them like them

  • 2:43:37

of course not because we know how to survive what we survived

  • 2:43:43

our eggs in that one basket we know how to do this we know how to survive bro like we come from

  • 2:43:50

survival is in our blood it's in our nature like we we come from you know we know what i uh where we come from

  • 2:43:58

you know the pain in in in the turmoil that actually is so easy to go without for me because it's actually harder with

  • 2:44:04

all this [ __ ] that it comes with when you gotta say this [ __ ] over here with all these diamond zones yo the three of you [ __ ] you got a lot

  • 2:44:11

    of dimes

  • 2:44:22

i'm from nook like i know it's like to not have nothing like it's noodles you got that life insurance at dinner

  • 2:44:28

hell yeah yeah 100 i got three policies yeah rappers dying more than arnold

  • 2:44:33

    schwarzenegger y'all got jewelry insurance what if somebody take your [ __ ] is insurance [ __ ] where's somebody taking a [ __ ] insurance

  • 2:44:41

that's the wrong word all right

  • 2:44:58

    this place

  • 2:45:09

what happened to it because right in the hotels i leave some [ __ ] and be when the cleaning people come you got to wear it even if you don't want to wear it

  • 2:45:15

because it can get shaky and i left i left i forgot that [ __ ] folded under i

  • 2:45:20

don't know what happened oh you checked out i was in dc i never forget it i was we checked out headed back to new york

  • 2:45:26

and i ain't remember until we was like in baltimore

  • 2:45:35

you're heading back to the hotel oh it was a dog they was like what they said

  • 2:45:40

i think i'm done yeah i think i'm done i got a wealth of information from you gentlemen

  • 2:45:48
