- 1:25
watching old man it's only two episodes out [ __ ] me up while i was watching it but
- 1:31
i'm watching it and let me see if i could [ __ ] up this guy's quote
- 1:36
you know sometimes the writers get in a bag in the middle of the scene with the lights dark in one of these prolific
- 1:42
moments and jeff bridges is a good actor and he's probably delivering and he's telling this girl something to the
- 1:47
effect of the wisest man that i know never said a word he was silent
- 1:54
for 50 something years something crazy and he was like not because he couldn't talk
- 2:00
and not because there wasn't anything to say or anybody to speak to but
- 2:06
he was of the belief that language in sheer design
- 2:12
and concept and construct was only built to deceive and then he went on to
- 2:19
add to that point and i don't want to [ __ ] up what he said but boy when he finished i almost ran to
- 2:25
the tv and taped it cause all of us are just lying
- 2:32
everybody's just lying even if you're telling the truth you don't know it cause sometimes they'll flip the definition of a word right in front of
- 2:38
your face but they say we we all liars
- 2:44
monday one word means one thing tuesday it means something different how you feel about something wednesday
- 2:51
you're liable to feel a different way on thursday that sounds like isis what i accept for you over here i may not
- 2:57

- 4:01

- 4:08

- 4:22
on the couch and running your mouth which is why i'm mad that ish woke up
- 4:27

- 6:00
yeah you know when you get old they say everything that was in and goes out comes back in at some point that is true
- 6:07
and i guess that's the beauty of age seeing some of this [ __ ] come to manifest i was gonna do my jersey house set but i
- 6:14
did it recently and i'm seeing a lot of jersey house hate
- 6:21
i see it i'm the only one that gets to wear this badge of hater cause [ __ ] have made
- 6:27
choruses out of it but you [ __ ] is haters i see the chicago house music i see it

- 9:35
what it started like saturday my baby gave me my gift when i was like
- 9:43
yeah i got a gift i was like oh [ __ ] okay okay all right i like that
- 9:48
and that energy just continued for me great gifts from that's beautiful crap great gifts a lot
- 9:55
of love a lot of a lot of appreciation from the people i knew and i just had a good day went to eat uh
- 10:02
went to eat in harlem took dad out my sons my little brothers my little sister nice
- 10:09
boy that was interesting i never really think about my little sister's perspective and all of this
- 10:15
like having to just go out with a bunch of [ __ ] i don't want to be around you [ __ ]
- 10:22
i am into different [ __ ] like i'm smarter than y'all she's very young right it's eight yeah yeah but she's
- 10:29
smarter than i'm sure the girls are smart enough like that that be happening from early yeah and
- 10:35
probably off that's why it's important for guys to like get smart somehow because if we just stay us
- 10:41
man they'll wipe us out they'll wipe us out that's how the studio line stopped working
- 10:46
[Music] keep listening
- 10:52
[Laughter]
- 10:58
said a new spot looked like party time
- 11:06
nah it's all worked there that's what i said y'all work you're a little whistling no that was
- 11:11
for the camera but it's all work all nigga's got time to do his work a lot of content
- 11:17
that's all we got to do is work we need work work work work content is important it's true it's all about content uh but
- 11:24
yeah father's day was cool when i went out to eat had a blast got gifts went out that night i see you at the
- 11:30
trifecta man yeah um it was all the same day father's day
- 11:35
birthday june team that's amazing yeah are you like to be spread out so you can
- 11:40
get your separate days yeah yeah i got robbed but i'm not mad at it you ain't getting two
- 11:46
gifts no i'm i'm cool but um i took my daughter out to uh to breakfast
- 11:53
and i let her pay for it like i let her give the car to the waitress like she took me out
- 11:59
nice still hey that felt good to me i'm sure that's dope but yeah i'm surprised [ __ ] apple pay
- 12:06
she'll be there right um then after that my mom's hit me and um she was like yo
- 12:14
i'll take her for a little bit and you just do whatever you want to do so i had the rest of the day to myself
- 12:20
and i literally did nothing and it was probably one of the better days that's amazing yeah so just peaceful love a
- 12:26
good do nothing to yep she's like i'll take her all right cool no that was pretty it pretty much it for
- 12:33
me oh i had a hosting the night before my bad
- 12:38
naturally with two more coming up yeah yeah we're two more wait wait wait what'd you say what'd you tell ish not
- 12:44
hosting's appearances yeah these numbers uh it's different different rate
- 12:49
yeah yeah yeah oh no no different rates on all of these oh no sure everything's different
- 12:57
what's that song well i didn't hear you he said he'd be feeling like the man when he walked through oh that's rich on me quan i'm not rich homie you're rich
- 13:19
working man you put your chain on the stove this morning you sure did i could tell when that thing's listening
- 13:25
i could tell when that thing is glistening you put your chain on the stove yeah
- 13:31
what does that mean yo clean it clean it boiling water
- 13:37
steamed up yeah right on steam steamed ice cream a little toothbrush
- 13:44
all right come on don't skip around don't skip around let's let's get right to it the queen has arrived
- 13:50
yep what do you what did you you guys go now
- 13:56
you guys go react you're still anonymous
- 14:01
no i'm gonna get honest i'm gonna have honest talk about it cause i don't have anything bad to say about it that's not a bad song i don't have anything bad to
- 14:06
say about it i just have my own quirky joe button music brain [ __ ] but that's not how the
- 14:14
majority listens to music so i'm not gonna burden you guys with that
- 14:19
i i wanna before even hearing the song before we get to the breakdown of the song
- 14:25
do y'all think this has any the project that dropped in this do you think they have anything to do with each
- 14:31
other you mean drake i wouldn't be surprised if a little birdie told him that she's coming with a
- 14:36
dance album and he said oh [ __ ] let me let me go first do you think her whole album will be a
- 14:42
dance apple i don't think so no i don't think so i don't know but i also
- 14:48
i agree with that parks and i also think because she never announced anything about a track coming
- 14:53
it was just july 29th and then it's almost like
- 14:58
he heard that she was coming with this sound so he puts the album out
- 15:04
and then she said oh we're hoeless that could be bouncing back and yeah
- 15:09
we'll talk each other a little something i could be all these guys are so [ __ ] cute
- 15:14
that theory floated around i had that but he do you think he just had an album ready to yes pull from his ass
- 15:21
no no no no no no i think he made it there's album yeah not because of her song no no no no i'm
- 15:27
just talking about the release time that's all we talked about just only the release time this one oh well yeah duh yeah let me
- 15:33
get this out get this out the way before she comes i get it definitely and again i saw people saying like
- 15:41
um oh this is the this is the new sound this is the new sound i i like even you
- 15:47
on the last part you were you were speaking about how you felt like he was free and this was the music he wanted to make i don't the
- 15:54
more i thought about it i don't know if that's the case i think tick tock is dominating what is dictating what these
- 16:01
artists are doing now maybe not let me just let me jump in because i don't want my
- 16:06
point that from last week to be misconstrued what did you say i just said
- 16:11
you were saying that this i was free he was free this is what he wanted to make and he was free to do it
- 16:17
that didn't mean that this is what was true to his soul
- 16:24
that meant with the signing of his deal and at this
- 16:29
point in his career some of the earlier pressures during a release would not be there okay
- 16:36
so he was free of he could do whatever he want now still if that be to be inspired from tick tock
- 16:44
then i could do it and not have to come out and sell 500 600. gotcha
- 16:49
okay i understand that differently now i definitely think that he has uh i'm sure he's got a little more freedom
- 16:55
like obviously with this album he did not try to hit a bunch of different yeah uh uh algorithms like he usually does
- 17:01
you know what i'm saying like you usually have the pop record and then the r b record and then the hip hop record and then the i'm just rapping straight
- 17:07
for 80 bars record like i think that freedom plays a part in that for sure actually
- 17:12
according to act the label just got this [ __ ] like two days before like he sent it to them two days before
- 17:19
yo i want to drop this like friday so even that book says to me that there's a
- 17:26
different type of freedom then i'm going to never let that happen he's just moving different that's all i
- 17:31
say yo why he couldn't just be an artist and trying to explore something different no you can now you have a fan base
- 17:38
that's accustomed to him doing certain [ __ ] but just him as an artist why can't he just
- 17:43
put out a project that he felt passionate about i'm with you
- 17:50
like i don't see you don't you don't get to be as big as he is pause without having just like
- 17:57
an enormous amount of people rooting against you as well true y'all they've been pulling reasons out
- 18:03
the ass as to why they're not like this like everybody becomes uh the head of a r
- 18:11
everybody man y'all and y'all always make up new ones oh his voice on this it's just some
- 18:18
whatever oh like see i don't like none of that like you don't have to have a reason
- 18:24
it could just be something you don't like not today okay not today all right today that's
- 18:30
not true because this is this uh rush to have an opinion society that
- 18:36
we're in hey monetize my opinion tweet the opinion then insta story it and reel
- 18:42
it and put it on youtube and put it on tick tock true hey i'm gonna go spend the night with that guy who has an
- 18:47
opinion and we'll come up with opinions together hey you're a guy with a sign i'm a girl with a sign we're gonna stand
- 18:53
on 42nd street together and write things like that's where we are so yeah i agree with you
- 18:59
because that's what i would say if you don't like some [ __ ] then keep it pushing but that's not where we're at and that's not what these [ __ ] do
- 19:04
that's some old school [ __ ] that we talking about now these [ __ ] at 1201 have typed their
- 19:11
tweet yeah they tweet the draft already they knew the stats they were gonna take so now for me
- 19:16
and i get offended with y'all ever telling me let me tell you all all of the [ __ ]
- 19:21
integral [ __ ] that i've done over 20 years but that's another story for another day
- 19:27
the drake album has done nothing but got better for me i've seen that a lot even better i came
- 19:33
in here i'm doubling down on that great project i almost want to say a top
- 19:39
five project from him yeah i got a and i take back what i said about that sticky [ __ ]
- 19:46
in the daytime that records dope that's the record with a girl touching on you
- 19:52
it could get sticky it's a good in the summer time too no it's a nice little tune i came from the
- 19:58
car washing like okay then when i thought i might have been bugging on father's day i put my kid got
- 20:04
in the car put the [ __ ] on me and him head popping together oh [ __ ] look at you you little ass but
- 20:10
his mama could dance so he should have some type of some type of [ __ ] albert's alumni
- 20:18
um so yeah that album has done that got better to me i wanted to come in and ask y'all uh
- 20:24
if y'all have the same stance on it because last week should've just came out now it's a wednesday we're back
- 20:30
my stance is it's cool it's not really my genre but it's not bad music like it's well produced it's all the things
- 20:37
i'm not rushing to put that on most times but i'm not mad at it you got it you still feel the same yeah
- 20:43
i'm saying it's the records i like are the ones i like and i'm i'm never i'm not running back to this album i've
- 20:49
heard it um my my barber is like he's house music king that's his
- 20:55
[ __ ] so when i first heard the album i'm like i know this thing is going to be going crazy
- 21:01
and i'm in there he so it was playing and i'm just like you know i mean you can like how you playing
- 21:06
the earlier music the intro music you can bop your head to it it's just nothing that i want to hear it's not for me i don't like it got it
- 21:12
um all right so let's get right to it uh beyonce break my soul
- 21:19
i did not hear this as soon as it dropped i was asleep on my fifth dream i woke up at around 3 a.m
- 21:26
heard it was like okay went back to bed woke up again a few hours later heard it
- 21:34
said the same thing went on about my day okay um
- 21:39
i caught a snippet first and then and then the track itself came out i guess about an hour or so
- 21:46
before midnight it went up on i believe title and youtube or something like that it was untitled early i saw it early and
- 21:53
uh 11 o'clock or something i didn't expect i didn't know what we were getting so
- 21:58
i was like oh [ __ ] she did it too before y'all give me opinions on that
- 22:05
what does this mean anything uh when you say this what do you mean about this
- 22:11
two of the bigger artists leading with this type of yeah too i do think that there's
- 22:18
um some credence to the fact that tick-tock is popular and i'm not saying that these guys make art music for
- 22:24
tick-tock but i could see them saying i can hit that i could do something like that that i still can stand behind yeah
- 22:30
with integrity but i'm gonna do it my way i can see that what i've been seeing is this we've been seeing for
- 22:36
the last couple months artists all calibers have been
- 22:42
kind of we saying the same thing i'm being told i gotta do something for tick-tock
- 22:48
that's been the story all the way across the board yeah whether it be i gotta put a video out and i gotta go viral or i
- 22:54
gotta create a challenge that goes viral for big artists too not for nothing exactly that's what i'm saying
- 22:59
so to me it trick they they got the message too but they were able to do it hey i wanted
- 23:06
to make this kind of music anyway i can do this so it's a win-win it's not like some of
- 23:12
the other artists where they're like dude it's killing me i got to do something for tick-tock i don't want to do this right
- 23:18
and this goes back to the old and pardon me this part my it's just a lot
- 23:23
to think about this goes back to the old what came first the chicken or the egg this what y'all are talking about uh are
- 23:30
you using the phone or is the phone using you that that is what this comes down to for me is it art
- 23:37
it's our this is art um [Music] it's it's
- 23:42
remember it's it's stifled it is uh
- 23:48
it is art that it's restricted it's art that is being
- 23:54
dictated by the tech so yes it is art but it's almost like ai art
- 24:01
remember cat william said if you're a comedian and they take certain things from you if
- 24:07
you're a real comedian you can work within those confines to make people laugh so if the label is telling you that you
- 24:13
need to do certain stuff and you're a real musician or you're a real artist you should be able to work within that
- 24:18
scope you get what i'm saying to still i'll take a step further too like art
- 24:24
often is a reflection on life true what's happening in the world
- 24:30
that's true and if that just happens to be now what's happening on your phone
- 24:37
who what still work it still are still reflecting the times like and right now tick-tock is the times
- 24:44
and it's a job kind of too wait huh i'm agreeing with parks in that i know and i'm not gonna argue with you
- 24:51
guys i just need that to be explained to me some more if art is often reflecting the times we can agree with that right what's
- 24:57
happening in the world 60s music was going off what's happening uh uh vietnam and
- 25:04
all this [ __ ] that was happening these 90s same [ __ ] i'm following why is it wrong now if what the times is is
- 25:11
digital in your phone and your computer but you're saying i think i understand what you're saying and that's my beef
- 25:18
yeah it's art but these songs are telling you nothing about the times tik tok is not the time
- 25:23
it's the tech that's in the now it's a good point the songs are not telling us anything about the time hers is a little
- 25:29
bit what is it telling us talk about quitting your job and that's true turn it up and that isn't
- 25:35
that no this song is not about this i want to argue with him right now
- 25:42
this song and many others because i don't want to highlight this one is selling
- 25:48
selling steak to the oppressed so
- 25:54
quit your job do you think that's a new thing that was a bargain you think that's a new
- 26:00
one you think people are just now quitting their job or or they're reflecting on it a lot more in the last couple years no we're in a recession and
- 26:07
a lot of [ __ ] that didn't fly fell flat on their [ __ ] face no doubt but they might still have 99
- 26:15
they might still have 299. well we can talk about the quit your job we can talk about the ethics of
- 26:21
saying that kind of [ __ ] in a song if you want but that's a different conversation stop not for me because i want to highlight the construction of a
- 26:30
i music and i'm not just talking about this song but when you hear the biggest
- 26:35
artist arguably in the world come out with every popular catchphrase
- 26:41
with every popular movement and point quit your job of whatever i don't
- 26:48
want to read this uh but anything to inspire and motivate and cling to the heartstrings
- 26:57
as a song maker you hear that you know the science in this song from the music
- 27:03
to the lyrics to the chorus to the artist i'm not saying that those things are not
- 27:10
true to beyonce but this song did not tell us anything new about the time or the artist
- 27:18
to that you say i don't think that all music particularly dance music is necessarily um a social commentary
- 27:24
scroll down well we started with music be a reflection of the time so yes
- 27:29
i agree with you dance music sometimes it is down it doesn't have to
- 27:35
be that mm-hmm and i guess that's part of the reason let me talk to you in two seconds and i
- 27:41
guess that's part of why i do appreciate the drake project so much because still on this dance project
- 27:49
he found a way to still deliver him and words that were true to him which is the same [ __ ]
- 27:55
throughout his whole career but a different take on some of the girly [ __ ] like oh [ __ ] that's unique and and not saying this is not
- 28:03
unique because let me be clear i think this is a smash i think this record is a smash
- 28:09
i think you'll hear it everywhere i think it leads to a lot of other conversations that probably need to be
- 28:15
had just about music and where it is how it's being made who's buying it who are
- 28:21
they marketing to who matters who don't um oh but go ahead i'm sorry
- 28:28
you said it's giving steak to the oppressed that was a dope line
- 28:33
i'm kind of in agreement but let me just offer a difference of opinion not that it's mine
- 28:39
what if this is being looked at as inspirational you know what i'm saying like get your
- 28:44
vibrations up get on your [ __ ] so that you could leave the job that you hate that you don't want to be at from nine
- 28:50
to five every day like step your game up type inspirational talk because that's the
- 28:56
thing of today too what i'm saying like everybody is on the entrepreneurial bag everybody on a get
- 29:01
your frequencies up get you this get you that so it is kind of reflective of today in that we trying to push a
- 29:07
certain level of excellence like yo [ __ ] that 9-5 [ __ ] get your own do xyz
- 29:15
and that would be great you get what i'm saying like that's where we are so this could potentially be
- 29:20
pushing that narrative or pushing that message which is in line with her yeah that is
- 29:26
true no it's like it's true to self that
- 29:31
would be great kinda but i do agree with you this is a uh it's gonna be a monster i mean it's her
- 29:38
though yo like not for nothing i did the same kind of thing i said with kendrick i like the song it's cool
- 29:44
about it seven and a half but she could put out whatever she wants you know and her her voice is just so
- 29:51
loud that it's gonna be in zara and forever 21 and wherever the [ __ ] you go it's gonna be there it's
- 29:57
gonna be at soho house for the rest of the year no question you know what i'm saying so she kind of can't really miss
- 30:03
yeah some people worked themselves to that point like you know they didn't start there they
- 30:08
worked themselves to that point where they can put out whatever the [ __ ] they want and
- 30:14
their fans are going to eat it up and it ain't a trump song it's not a trump song i'm just saying i don't know and you know she going to follow up with some
- 30:20
bangers i will say this too i've seen a lot of dj's like applauding the [ __ ] out of dance culture dance music making a
- 30:25
comeback because the past decade has been relatively low tempo music girls decade plus i saw
- 30:32
somebody i was in the club i wish i um like screen screenshot the tweet but he
- 30:38
said it was a dj and he said i could see the divide happening in
- 30:43
urban party scene because on one hand you're gonna there's people that's gonna
- 30:49
hate this dance music because they want the trap sound yeah
- 30:54
and you and those places are probably never gonna play any of these records here and on the flip side you're gonna have
- 31:02
dance parties back yo and i think that's completely okay yeah that's like i don't think that the
- 31:08
the homogenization or whatever the word is of of music is a good thing like where everyone makes [ __ ] that fits in
- 31:14
the same sound and format like that's what i like about even though this is not my genre that's what i like about the drake album that's what i like about
- 31:19
the beyonce song is please let's have a dir i want to go to that spot for the dance music i want to go to that spot for the [ __ ] boom
- 31:25
bap [ __ ] i want to go to that spot for the jazz like why can't we have that i think that's dope and both of them again older too
- 31:31
true like dog even in us we're getting older like some of that [ __ ] on we want to hear me i don't i know
- 31:38
i just don't be wanting to hear that [ __ ] sometimes like i don't want it yo you go to the club girls are shooting a
- 31:43
gun in the club with the invisible gun tattoos i don't want to see that yeah i
- 31:48
know a lot of me is in the club the girl's shooting the gun in the club i don't i don't want to see that face i used to be mad at that too a lot yo dog
- 31:55
i'm 46 years old i don't want to see a girl literally knowing every single line to
- 32:01
back and blood i'm cool i used to feel like that so i learned that most of our attenders were gang members too
- 32:08
i'm talking outside of the stream like oh
- 32:26
yo i don't want to see the [ __ ] you supposed to be back there looking sexy oh
- 32:34
you mean you're oh you ripped oh you got one oh that's really your secret
- 32:41
[Music]
- 32:51
when i was growing up we've seen the boss and lady of rage and boss was pretty
- 32:59
yeah yeah i'm sad yeah but you have a bbl
- 33:05
and if she did [ __ ] she just had dickies on
- 33:10
but it's cool no it was thick
- 33:15
boss had a fat ass yeah you can't say that loud
- 33:23
but what yeah what's the name of this scroll up break bustle break my soul
- 33:29
you all go quit your job got it see what else would be bro order your
- 33:34
soul y'all go ahead and play with nycha if you want
- 33:40
stupid yo
- 33:46
i'm chilling i don't have listen i'm chilling the song of the smash it's not for me
- 33:52
uh but you better get used to hearing it yeah and get used to the sound like
- 33:58
i told you nah no no no no joe joe the game is follow the leader get used to this become the dick riders yes one
- 34:05
thousand percent they come in yep oh i'm coming i can see you guys running the same ass right now oh my god
- 34:12
[ __ ] you saw what happened when when just like drill took off
- 34:18
[ __ ] who wasn't that's true [ __ ] became drill rappers and artists over tonight overnight yeah and i ain't i i
- 34:25
want to say something but i won't what do you think gonna happen when they see this [ __ ] shoot to
- 34:31
the top now i don't even got to talk about killing nobody you drill [ __ ] got the shortest to windows
- 34:36
that's about over here okay and then what do you think what's next y'all can go keep dancing with eric
- 34:43
adams if you want that it's over buddy in the next five six years
- 34:49
might not be that long i know yeah but up here i know but the writing is on the wall that what but again so and that's
- 34:56
that's government-issued writing that's not joe that's not joe that's government-issued writing don't don't start hitting me mad
- 35:02
at me i'm just telling you what i'm looking at and if you're an artist and you looking at it you you should be thinking else
- 35:09
elsewhere as well they're not playing with y'all the dream says i love making you guys
- 35:15
happy and even if for a second i can give anything of myself to help you get through a moment in these crazy times
- 35:20
i'd use my entire heart to do so no one's [ __ ] sleeping tonight beyonce we have done something special yet again my good friend
- 35:28
to your point
- 35:33
yeah it's a bumble bee and a rocket
- 35:39
she's hurry oh she's her she's there she definitely are so you don't think the whole album will
- 35:45
be dance music though no never never no no we don't really give you
- 35:50
one thing she knows she does it she likes it i saw people saying yeah you hate house music but you know chris brown dropping i
- 35:57
guarantee you he has something on there i'm like okay chris gonna give me 30 records too i can skip what i don't like
- 36:04
true that's the thing it's not many people that's doing that wait wait hold on no i don't do that don't do that
- 36:09
because then you have music talks that i won't even bother to have no i used to be arguing with these
- 36:14
[ __ ] say something to me
- 36:20
be on alert laying their head down at night sleeping on they probably be on alert listen alex you're already on right
- 36:29
no you bugging yeah jesus that's beautiful few more days
- 36:35
yeah you stupid no no yeah cause these last few fridays and [ __ ] is like blue
- 36:40
balls on the new releases pause man like you get up you get excited and like all right
- 36:45
that's what we're doing all right cool i'll take it not friday no no siree bob no no hey
- 36:53
all year we've been doing fire drills
- 36:58
they've been getting annoying right you all your classmates get up single foul single foul
- 37:05
miss johnson got to walk y'all all out the building i used to do them shits and say i gotta
- 37:11
set fire to see if this [ __ ] works i gotta see if this cause i don't think this is an effective way that [ __ ] ain't
- 37:18
gonna happen like first escape i might bring mess you know friday
- 37:24
real fire real flames inferno bad
- 37:30
that you're gonna take that shorty that you don't speak to no more that's leaving on
- 37:36
a pride he bout to bug out listen man oh man
- 37:42
so yeah like i said he can put some house on there not just that so
- 37:48
your music is music dawg even if he did some house [ __ ] it might be a slack
- 37:53
he might have some cece peniston in the tuck that's gonna last 40 years you never know with this [ __ ]
- 38:01
he's amazing i want to know the name of beyonce's uh album um
- 38:06
is it renaissance renaissance act one act one
- 38:11
that's it they saying it's a few pieces and it's uh july 29th i mean i want to
- 38:20
know i want to i want to i can't wait to see her vision oh yeah yeah you know you know it's a whole package yeah that's
- 38:25
what i mean like why is this and this single don't do it dude that don't help the picture for me i read some [ __ ] that
- 38:32
broke it down and said um like they had her on a pink horse and all this other [ __ ] and they broke
- 38:38
down all the symbolism of the pink horse and what the pink horse meant and that the renaissance it was you know you
- 38:46
know they were real real well read and they'd be on a history [ __ ] maybe on they you know what i mean civilization
- 38:52
[ __ ] it just broke the whole picture down she was sitting on the pink course some [ __ ] you know what else i like about beyonce
- 38:59
like when she announced the date it was like late july or something right yeah it's late like
- 39:05
she take advantage of the full six weeks of space
- 39:11
some gonna come probably damn near every week but she don't always do that
- 39:17
only once she don't always give you a six week lead up yeah that's what i'm saying like this is kind of new for her
- 39:23
to just pop up hey i'm album is coming six weeks from now and then
- 39:29
three days later oh here's a single by the way that's this is actually a little different she had a nice break though
- 39:36
beyonce just tell you no no it's out she don't tell you no it's out you just wake up it should be
- 39:41
out like i i like that that self-titled album that just dropped out of nowhere
- 39:49
but i still remember like didn't eliminate [ __ ] drop out of nowhere no elimination was hbo it was
- 39:56
yeah but it was fairly under now so i don't know it rolled out like all the way yeah it wasn't fully rolled out but the self-titled because the label didn't
- 40:03
even know they was getting that [ __ ] literally people just woke up and said oh [ __ ] there's a new beyonce album out
- 40:11
and it was just available when was that last project
- 40:17
uh that was lemonade right lemonade over here that was 16. six yeah so every 16. i
- 40:22
think you got to do it 16. you got to do a little bit well she did the the whole collab album oh yeah and and the the
- 40:29
lion king king [ __ ] you gotta you gotta do a little different i think now when you're here
- 40:35
not when you hurt and you're not chasing numbers it says act one how many acts you think they'll be it's a job my [ __ ]
- 40:43
i don't i don't listen to that i think everybody wants numbers i think that she's told you herself if i cared about
- 40:49
numbers i would have put lemonade on spotify i think act one will be the only
- 40:54
audio aspect um i think act two might be the tour act
- 41:00
three might be a movie netflix there's some netflix [ __ ] coming dope act four might be something different if
- 41:06
there were what would it be an act for okay or if there's the order deluxe might be
- 41:12
wait a minute act two or you know something i notice here it says renaissance formats it says box set as
- 41:17
one of them that's why something tells me this might be like somebody i said it's the most ambitious
- 41:22
album today this [ __ ] might be like some [ __ ] three discs [ __ ] this could be some crazy formats box set digital
- 41:29
download streaming on the site there's four different poses they're called which is the album and it's got like a
- 41:36
t-shirt next to it right we know beyonce is not putting out four albums right do we
- 41:42
she put out two she could put out double she did a double that's not four i'm just we don't know
- 41:48
what beyonce can do what beyonce wants to do it's true i mean and she's had like six years one time joe doesn't
- 41:54
think that uh four new albums from beyonce are coming
- 42:00
beyonce might give you especially if it's a dance project might give you one album of
- 42:05
the music and another one be like an instrumental album without the vocals
- 42:10
it could be something like that too i don't know but she's she's coming and
- 42:17
she's gonna come in a different way everybody move mm-hmm yeah you see [ __ ] started moving
- 42:23
already everybody move it's okay no shame in it nothing wrong not at all it's the respectable thing to do
- 42:30
we all will do it do it just get out the way
- 42:36
that's it's time move yeah move it's cool and that's okay yeah what do y'all take away from uh
- 42:43
drake's projections anything 230 right not to bring it back there but that was on our list
- 42:48
i think that um i think the internet is that powerful and i think that most people are
- 42:55
groupies and they just go with the flock so i think that the very first not even
- 43:01
the first day the first hour that that [ __ ] dropped the reviews were disgusting and i think
- 43:06
people just followed suit i think the the genre is not everybody's cup of tea too right that's all it is most people
- 43:13
instantly just listen to a thing a couple times people let's do it one time said i don't really want to listen to this like
- 43:18
me myself i'm a drake fan i see brand new drake project
- 43:24
i'm hauling ass to listen to it now he made a project in a genre that i
- 43:29
don't particularly listen to it's not my cup of tea oh this ain't for me i don't really like
- 43:35
this a lot of people felt that way you bought it no oh you didn't but no i
- 43:41
didn't buy that oh okay that that's what i'm not even about they're saying that this
- 43:47
is low for drake it is extremely i don't think so
- 43:52
surprised dark lane demo tapes was a surprise drop and it did kind of the same numbers
- 44:00
yeah that was like a it was called demo tape i think that kind of that's the title
- 44:05
i'm talking about i wasn't treated like an album neither was this surprise drop there was no rollout or
- 44:11
nothing this wasn't true this was not treated like an album
- 44:16
all that he do that good point more life um if you're reading this it's too late
- 44:22
i can call it whatever i want because and i think this is smart on his part
- 44:28
with those other ones if they don't hit certain numbers it don't look it's like oh well this wasn't an album this was a playlist this is this this was that
- 44:35
with this project here he don't have to really hit six seven hundred thousand or
- 44:41
whatever because in the first hour it broke all of apple's dance music uh
- 44:48
category records because dance isn't necessarily a very very i'm not gonna say popular but strong yeah it's not a
- 44:55
strong genre so for him to drop in there yeah of course you're gonna break whatever record they got
- 45:01
and that's a stat right there i could hang my head on it's just streaming numbers it's still a low number for
- 45:06
drake say what you want i would agree i think that if he had two or three bangers and when you first cut the album
- 45:12
on everybody would have went nuts and he would have sold more i think he knew what surprise dropping i
- 45:19
think that if it was three or four real heat rockers on there it would it would have did more numbers
- 45:26
they killed it like they killed it on all social media platforms they killed it so a lot of
- 45:31
people didn't you know [ __ ] are sheep they gonna rock with the flock so
- 45:37
it's my opinion i like park save and that's just not everybody bag especially when you've grown
- 45:43
to be a fan of an artist who made a certain type of music for the better part of a decade more than a
- 45:50
decade yeah more right actually yeah you're right yeah he's like 15 years in what you think about the
- 45:55
number so if he's done a certain type of music for 15 plus years
- 46:01
and then you just completely step off in another direction not saying it's a bad thing but everybody might not roll now
- 46:07
that's gonna have some pros and cons what do y'all think about the fact that it seems like all the big dogs numbers were down across the board i was gonna
- 46:12
say that too this just might be reflective of music kendrick did what 280 uh something like that
- 46:17
jack you don't need a million people to make a million dollars you'll be a lot better off as an artist because
- 46:24
numbers in that sense are capped like how many records you sell is capped how much money did you make off the records
- 46:31
you sold that's what this [ __ ] is about so you can walk around with a platinum plaque and hold your head up high
- 46:37
because that is that is a major accomplishment but you can't eat off that [ __ ]
- 46:43
you there's no check that comes with a platinum plaque if you don't do your business right so you got to decide if you want to be
- 46:49
famous or if you want to be rich because in the music industry and entertainment that is on most levels two totally
- 46:57
different things you don't know the richest people in entertainment you think you know because you've seen people on tv they're nowhere
- 47:03
near the richest people in entertainment puffy hove russell maybe but there's there's eight other people like that you
- 47:09
never heard of clarence avon until they put the movie on netflix this is blind because the man was here instruments
- 47:16
like and i think you get the gist of what he's saying uh what vince staples was saying
- 47:21
for me yeah vincent said it a few people have said it but
- 47:26
uh i don't think it it resonates the way that it needs to when you have the vast majority of
- 47:33
people out there and they'll say i have a cape on my [ __ ] uh saying that these are low numbers for
- 47:39
drake okay but with all things considering
- 47:45
right like what does that mean i have this being like a monster stat
- 47:51
for him that i roll out of bed fart on the album and do 2 30.
- 47:58
this is going to be a top selling album that means nothing to me but it's going to be a top selling album
- 48:04
this year for sure it's going to be a top five in the releases he spent nothing outside of this video
- 48:11
that ice is talking about and he's under a new deal that's reworked and reconstructed
- 48:18
i can't find a bad thing to say about 2 30. and i can't take it a step further
- 48:24
all the awards shows he's going to clean up in that category oh yeah no question oh yeah yeah he's
- 48:30
running straight through it's only two of y'all that outsold me on my dance project like
- 48:36
i'm putting my dick on my dick and balls on the table if that's me but yet we've been conditioned well what
- 48:43
is that what does that new deal look like and what do you all think it looks like and
- 48:49
what do you all think it means when one thing is sold now exactly
- 48:55
monetarily yeah it's not the same that's true i don't
- 49:01
have to go and sell remember when cam went to the hundred thousand cam with the koch it's the same thinking
- 49:07
i think this is all speculative but yeah this is when artists learn hey
- 49:14
i can sell 230 and it will be like when i sold
- 49:20
yeah a million week one that's what i assumed the thinking to be
- 49:25
there again i don't know or i could be capable i'm biased and i just really love the guy's music
- 49:31
but that's what i think is going on as a person i don't love this music i i agree that new deal
- 49:38
yeah who gives a [ __ ] exactly [ __ ] you got rumored 400 million dollars i don't give a [ __ ] with this one and i
- 49:44
take it a step further you'll hear from him again i think so
- 49:50
and i'm not talking about i know he said he got this the scary hours three that the last scary hours was what two three
- 49:56
records we're gonna we're gonna hear from him again and that's where y'all better shut the [ __ ] up he might put another project
- 50:02
that's what you're gonna hear from him y'all better y'all better shut up because now
- 50:07
what what this what this project tells me is with this deal i could do what the [ __ ] i want
- 50:14
meaning i can come back next week and say hey look here's a whole new project over
- 50:19
here hip-hop yeah we was all watching the uh the the bulls uh three-peat 6p whatever
- 50:26
the name of the dock was and we were all laughing like a family together on online
- 50:31
at all the times that michael jordan was petty because he's like you was that
- 50:36
the [ __ ] you was that petty like you was petty to orlando woolridge like
- 50:42
you were just petty was petty to everybody your teammates 12th man off the bench but we loved that [ __ ] we was
- 50:47
laughing at it every time and i took it personal oh yeah we was having a blast that's part of why i've
- 50:53
been having a lot of fun watching steph curry and how petty the warriors have been they
- 50:59
remember all that [ __ ] y'all said steph remember when and i remember this episode in august when y'all said he
- 51:06
wasn't gonna win no more rings kendrick perkins and i was like huh what you're not talking about steph remembered it too
- 51:13
who knew that the greats could be so so petty when hov was hov was dissing
- 51:19
me and felt like every other year and the fans just kept saying joe blind shut your bum ass up you think [ __ ] you
- 51:26
think [ __ ] oh jay-z is thinking about you and i used to say if you only knew how petty the [ __ ]
- 51:34
greats were it's part of what y'all think this [ __ ] is not reading what y'all are saying
- 51:39
about this dance moment oh yeah did you see the uh the merch that he was showing button up i need that shirt sure i was
- 51:45
gonna hit him to get the shirt but i ain't gonna think i was trying to diss them but [ __ ] it's your shirt but i mean your old [ __ ]
- 51:53
do slap huge fan of your old i like the new [ __ ] too but that's a funny shirt that's a
- 52:00
hilarious shirt but he's gonna be on y'all ass on spooky hours
- 52:05
i don't have nothing to say about uh what dave said but it confirms what i said with that whole
- 52:12
birthday [ __ ] what birthday [ __ ] dave free the
- 52:18
co-founder of pg lang and kendrick's longtime business partner calls drake petty for dropping the worst album of the year on kendrick's birthday
- 52:24
petty ass [ __ ] dropped on dot birthday just to release the worst album of the year is what dave free said dave shout out to
- 52:32
you kendrick you drake you all parties and balls
- 52:39
just doing my gig the gig is the king i don't want any smoke
- 52:45
i ain't even know it was real smoke word me either into a list it's kind of confusing
- 52:51
uh instagram me neither he's got a thousand followers private page
- 52:57
someone snitched on him but here come the blog starting trouble well no well dave said i'm gonna say what
- 53:03
yeah i ain't like that [ __ ] the blogs did the puff what they did oh
- 53:09
ain't nobody in that song did he say nothing about that young lady here go to blogs buffson's shot set
- 53:17
his ex such as such a sound i'm like wait [ __ ] sent the shot back though
- 53:28
i do know what i think is gonna happen
- 53:34
i'ma drink some water it wasn't doing my talking he just went
- 53:39
up there and saw the uh college football coach
- 53:45
all he did was knock on his office door where that little trainer door at
- 53:50
hey what a gym what's the address to that gym [Laughter] a little bit strictly
- 54:00
i see it was slick too slick i saw that slick
- 54:06
anyway i saw it i ain't seen nothing don't worry don't worry about it i'll tell you
- 54:12
i don't know how uh yeah i don't know either back to dave it's there it's only like two [ __ ] that could even say something about this
- 54:17
drake project and kendrick and dave free are two from one um
- 54:23
and then you know the next slide is i love when you count me out
- 54:28
while they shoot the video so jose's say it would
- 54:34
bless it man missed out five
- 54:49
what if that's like the dalai lama or some [ __ ] i know what the dalai lama look like there's only one
- 54:59
only it's only one llama that was a person oh [ __ ]
- 55:05
you thought it was actual llama
- 55:14
that's why i don't come to your hostings it's the crowd you bring up
- 55:32
they know
- 55:39
that's my other small small worry with this dance music
- 55:44
thing that's happening there's nowhere to dance in new york or not many places or at least i don't
- 55:51
know of them look how fast it gets me back to my tech argument i was having earlier right
- 55:57
i don't know where to go in new york because i'm old shriveled and washed
- 56:02
shriveled shriveled and washed more botox and lipo coming
- 56:08
these [ __ ] these [ __ ] doing it flex did it
- 56:14
drake did it they're saying that sam puff did it come
- 56:19
on get some more who else did oh what's my man what's my man french
- 56:27
i don't even think of that french did it
- 56:32
i didn't know if he did it nick why [ __ ] can't just work down and look good he did it and rolled the whole
- 56:37
album out off of him i'm gonna do it we're gonna bleach i ain't gonna do it i ain't gonna do it but these [ __ ]
- 56:44
making you think about it a little bit i'm going to get it i stopped start eating less red meat for about two
- 56:49
weeks i ain't that's still way the same i weigh the same [ __ ]
- 56:56
i'm going to bed off [ __ ] chicken caesar salad and [ __ ] stepping on the scale
- 57:01
still fat you gotta hit them stairs you and corey yeah
- 57:08
you got lex lugo with you how many days of my week you want me to spend with cory
- 57:13
how many days a week do you spend with questions you just want me you're just writing off my days huh just sending them off into the world they say you
- 57:18
gotta go every day run them by yourself [ __ ] four days a week i'm skinnier than both you [ __ ] so y'all stop talking to me skinny to me
- 57:25
what's your point
- 57:30
anyway back to my point so who knows where to go to have fun in new york you know how i find out where to go now you
- 57:35
guessed it tick-tock really i didn't know
- 57:42
i had no idea that's crazy but that's what it is yeah we got to stop i know we've been talking about
- 57:48
tick-tock and from a musical standpoint labels and
- 57:55
but everything is there information instructional vids how to cook how to build everything that
- 58:02
i was going to youtube for so i could see why people are threatened and i could see why people acquiesce but i
- 58:08
thought it's only one minute clips that's what that's why it's actually working no i'm saying but joe's saying
- 58:13
that they got like how-to videos but yeah they must definitely get right into one minute
- 58:19
quick edits hey it's difficult to you got to do it there's still an art to
- 58:24
that for sure yeah that's like you have to learn how to do that it ain't just kid dances and [ __ ] basically the way
- 58:30
the way it was explained to me they took youtube and google and mashed it together
- 58:37
and made it for a person with a very short attention span which is half of the new world which is most of yeah
- 58:44
but anyway moving right along we got it first way before we get to that okay lastly on drake i am so glad
- 58:51
they kicked that fake drake [ __ ] out the club i watched that video 90 million times enough of him get on with your [ __ ]
- 58:59
life no did you see it like go do something did you see his video where he where he uh facetimed drake no i don't i don't
- 59:06
watch his content even even that i don't look look i don't look for him i don't want to see him facetime nobody alright
- 59:12
this [ __ ] popped up you know it's all over the top go away go away yo huh you think he was getting
- 59:19
money nah he facetimed drake and he's talking to him and he you know little big over yo ting [ __ ] like that drake
- 59:24
banged on that [ __ ] man you're lying he's like yo we still putting the record on yeah yeah yeah
- 59:31
quick i'm really happy they kicked him out the club see because some things go along with
- 59:38
being the mega star that is rick which is sometimes you'll get to a venue where
- 59:43
there's somebody in there that don't want you in there and that's when you got to have all the mob ties and all that other [ __ ] he'd be
- 59:49
rapping about with you and you don't it's expensive then the other part about that is like
- 59:55
the gentleman said there's a lot of people that really know this guy and like this guy so why and some of these [ __ ] happen
- 1:00:02
to be real [ __ ] so why am i about to share a space with you i'm not yo get him out of here oh
- 1:00:10
round of applause yo yo go be yourself that's already a bad
- 1:00:18
problem in hip hop [ __ ] not wanting to be themselves now we paying [ __ ] to be somebody else yeah that that's crazy no
- 1:00:25
no no get him out the club i'm with you and you you and your man
- 1:00:32
see when you start pressing [ __ ] they can't do nothing but smile and look goofy bring back pressing [ __ ]
- 1:00:39
without rapping about what you did and how you did it and how you got to the final results yeah don't say nothing
- 1:00:45
nothing no just bring it back bring it back get out the club god damn it
- 1:00:52
all right ice wants to get on to uh amarion versus mario
- 1:01:00
and you can't spell amarion without mario
- 1:01:08
points red i'm picking a marion landslide yeah
- 1:01:13
mario's my man though yeah no disrespect i'm sorry i don't think it's gonna be as much of a landslide as we think it's
- 1:01:18
gonna be more nah stupid yo well what do you think now let's say
- 1:01:24
something tell us more about what you think you think break down the discography for me break it down
- 1:01:31
12 8 oh no no we didn't ask for your score tell us why you feel like you feel
- 1:01:38
i just think that mario got joints and i think they're going to go over well
- 1:01:43
um they ain't la so amarion is going to be king tap dance out there man they could
- 1:01:49
be in no you're going to beat them they're going to beat them but i just think i don't think it's going to be as as much
- 1:01:55
of a landslide as y'all okay just my left side yeah okay yeah this yeah
- 1:02:01
and they got an undercard on this versus who's on the card it's a boxing match no no
- 1:02:07
it's a tag team ray j and bobby valentino
- 1:02:13
versus pleasure p and sammy now that's a mop up lebron picked these teams
- 1:02:32
i don't know who was i don't know who i don't know who got the better of the
- 1:02:37
paper scissors rock but it wasn't sammy in them yeah i hope they didn't
- 1:02:43
i don't even know how they agreed to this i mean i guess this is just for the look
- 1:02:50
but it's not going to be a good look i mean it's going to be entertaining it's going
- 1:02:56
no no no ray j is going to make the show entertaining hey yo dawg no you know why no let's stop joking around for a minute let's talk let me stop joking around for
- 1:03:02
a minute uh this is not a lance this is not that the opener is not a landslide because
- 1:03:07
pleasure p has written a lot that's true pleasure p has written a lot well i'm asleep and pretty ricky got a
- 1:03:13
lot pleasure p probably could face either
- 1:03:19
one of them by himself i not and not not both yeah yeah yeah okay well and he's
- 1:03:24
performed on on some records no no he has i'm not disagreeing yes yes that's me i know i'm just saying
- 1:03:31
because once you get past ray j uh uh sexy can i
- 1:03:36
one wish uh i'm throwing boyfriend in there wait a minute wait a minute
- 1:03:41
uh there's one more from ray j that you have to get by but it's about four or
- 1:03:47
five now bring bobby v in there no oh okay because that's not right
- 1:03:53
sammy sammy a little while ago was looking for versus smoke alone and he would talk with a lot of confidence
- 1:04:00
uh i won't diss them because i love sammy oh but i didn't know maybe i'm not as familiar with all of
- 1:04:07
sammy's catalog the way that he was talking because he was talking like this about big boys
- 1:04:13
my hardball ain't gonna get it done i think sammy is friends with all of these guys
- 1:04:20
i don't put him in the same conversation with these gentlemen if i'm wrong i'm open to being wrong
- 1:04:25
like i said i'm not familiar yeah he must have opinions yeah yeah he might have something that i just don't know about that's possible and
- 1:04:32
that'd be dope in the verses when you find out like oh [ __ ] he wrote that he did that you know what i'll be glad to be wrong
- 1:04:39
in that close this what side is uh ray j and i'm on the marion size
- 1:04:44
yes what else oh it ain't no size it's just just all right yeah
- 1:04:50
all right
- 1:04:56
might as well be 4 20. because somebody getting smoke
- 1:05:02
a lot of [ __ ] is getting smoked yeah gelatos we all types of [ __ ] is in the air
- 1:05:09
yo you stupid yo nah i'm with joe i'm a grand there's gonna be some smoke in here and then right after that the album
- 1:05:15
dropped i want to call mario but i don't want to be phony
- 1:05:22
but i'm phony i am phony don't say just to say it man what you was thinking
- 1:05:28
it's baltimore's finest man i he gonna show up you know he got him he got too many records he's
- 1:05:33
got joints a couple marion's got a lot more
- 1:05:38
bam why do i do this
- 1:05:44
i don't even know why i do this to myself mario's one of the greatest guys in the
- 1:05:49
world man look at god
- 1:05:56
look at god getting me out of here i tried to call him okay yeah
- 1:06:02
all right did my job as a podcast
- 1:06:07
i tried to deliver the content it just did not work well he talked too much because [ __ ] around call you back
- 1:06:13
that's my man i ain't gonna say nothing bad to him let me love you let me love you to the point
- 1:06:19
absolutely yes i want to say just the friend is a point
- 1:06:25
but i can't depending on what i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't say that
- 1:06:33
just a friend versus icebox where do you go icebox i'm going icebox and that's why it gets bad because he
- 1:06:39
should win that yeah but i don't give that to him no but he should win that just a friend should beat icebox
- 1:06:46
but if if that can't beat icebox then it's tough yeah but you saying like icebox is one
- 1:06:52
of his lowly joints that's one of his heat rockers don't say he rocker to me
- 1:07:06
[ __ ] won't even read his contract i told him not to talk to versus talk
- 1:07:12
you do the verses when oldest reading is up to that yeah you do it [ __ ]
- 1:07:21
stupid uh no it's a joint film you're right
- 1:07:27
but it won't be one of the last two records yeah no no
- 1:07:32
and that's what i mean just a friend has to be one of the last two records yes
- 1:07:40
let me love you it should be the last point that's the last one for mario
- 1:07:47
unless he tries to cut the deck early that would be good don't do that
- 1:07:52
he better not lead out don't he better not leave with spades you got to have a whole hand yo
- 1:07:59
sometimes you're sitting there with sometimes you sit in there with like nine spades in your hand and the opponent lead with a speed
- 1:08:08
yo he better not leave with a spade that [ __ ] mario got joker joker juice deuce ace he
- 1:08:16
might be missing a queen jack 10 run down to the five five got to bring out some [ __ ] here now
- 1:08:23
you better yeah you better chill what else we got that's important because there are important things to get to
- 1:08:29
uh in music game game hit boy dropped single okay did you hear it i did hear it nope
- 1:08:36
he makes great music but they're doing another verses that's official they announced another one i think oh
- 1:08:41
who i didn't hear i didn't hear him
- 1:08:47
but i'll give you a little bit of the parks yeah i'll give you a little
- 1:09:02
sounds dope i'm looking forward to this project that's exactly why i retired right there
- 1:09:07
boy why'd you say that you couldn't put me in the studio on that beat come on you couldn't do that
- 1:09:14
it would be a bad day for people yo i wouldn't come out for a week how long would you just let that be
- 1:09:21
rock for five days y'all could just leave me and i'll call you back when i'm finished
- 1:09:27
that how long will the track be
- 1:09:32
um depends can we drop the drums out have some piano we got the stems yeah awesome
- 1:09:38
we have this thing hey can you call the guitar dude can you call the guitar dude we might
- 1:09:45
get like nine minutes out of this them them chords oh i'm a sucker for chords you know that's why i said cut up
- 1:09:52
no i don't it don't matter what he's saying i can't hear what he's saying me i can't hear what he's saying he
- 1:09:58
might sound like sound like his heart but [ __ ]
- 1:10:03
damn it boy hey boys if that [ __ ] got off this couch and went and did that yeah well he told us he had like a whole
- 1:10:11
million with him rub this [ __ ] like the apollo tree [ __ ]
- 1:10:16
[ __ ] got up from right here and did something like that you get one of those you might you might really
- 1:10:23
i get one of those that'd be the most expensive single ever sold
- 1:10:39
[ __ ] get crazy man i think i could sell a few ninety nine
- 1:10:44
dollar singles if it's nine minutes yeah yeah i'm telling you something
- 1:10:50
it'll work and now and once they hear this they're gonna be like yo i got 99 for it
- 1:10:55
yeah but then i got to raise the price let's see why [ __ ] is phony
- 1:11:00
yo shout out the game that sounds hard shout out to hit boy yeah yeah i'm looking that sounds hard i want to hear this song that sound i don't need to
- 1:11:06
hear that in the bigs that's that's coming next week i believe right is it who's really next week
- 1:11:13
i'm not sure anything else anything else in music
- 1:11:19
i don't believe so no i think that was it for music bro yo no no no no there wasn't i know
- 1:11:24
there's more but y'all real slick sending me out on the edge on the ledge for the uh
- 1:11:30
what was that on the day free [ __ ] y'all look cute what'd you mean no did y'all give a take on that
- 1:11:38
no it sounded rather silent to me for the biggest artist in the world who
- 1:11:43
of versus the other biggest acting hip-hop who hasn't dropped in five six years and now his partner of the new
- 1:11:49
company is calling out some [ __ ] like y'all was a little too silent on that one for me
- 1:11:55
especially as someone who pays you guys i mean look what you wanted to say we saw it like i
- 1:12:01
don't want to say anything to pay i don't want you to say a word
- 1:12:07
look at alex yes y'all man hey where you hearing your man back there oh [ __ ]
- 1:12:14
pardon i did my contract yo um i don't know if y'all don't have one
- 1:12:20
you was speculating all these yeah it's always been the speculation yeah but now we're still not saying beef but that's that's
- 1:12:26
spicy no that's it it's spicy and that may lead to more that's beef more beef
- 1:12:32
that's beef which would mean i was just two years or a year and a half early on it
- 1:12:38
that's me all right so and y'all saying drake petty too oh no he's petty
- 1:12:43
which means he's a comeback is coming back he's he always comes back no he has there'll be some free bars all right
- 1:12:49
snuck in somewhere [ __ ] trump knowledge
- 1:12:55
no no he's petty but um all right so do y'all think
- 1:13:01
the video do you think there's anything in here to address this which video the one that
- 1:13:06
they were shooting because he he said i'll never count me out nah and put that in there as if i don't think so no okay
- 1:13:14
do you think this gets addressed i don't watch videos i think drake will address it i don't know if kendrick addresses it unless no i'm talking about
- 1:13:22
kendrick addressing it no because if if for him for for dave to say this obviously dave has a private
- 1:13:29
page with a thousand followers i'm pretty sure that he didn't think that no one was going to see that [ __ ] well he couldn't
- 1:13:34
i feel you but hold on with that you know yeah yeah the way they move the way they move particularly that
- 1:13:41
anyone affiliated over there but this is not day this is pg lane i get that but i'm just saying mark still say yeah
- 1:13:47
kendrick knows i'm with you yes yes i'm with you we don't put nothing on anywhere unless you know one follower yeah yeah
- 1:13:53
somebody gonna push it to somebody we're not doing a fake page and putting nothing out they don't move that way all right come on into more interesting news
- 1:14:00
we have her versus mbk entertainment uh that's jeff
- 1:14:06
shout out to all parties involved here yeah but this is interesting it's very interesting
- 1:14:12
her fouled uh filed a lawsuit in california
- 1:14:20
uh based on the labor laws i'm not reading this is off my head uh oh here we go i can read it uh
- 1:14:27
according to legal documents cited by the blast her is suing for the declaratory relief and violation of the
- 1:14:32
business and pro professions code and seeking to be released from her contract contract with
- 1:14:38
mbk the lawsuit was filed in the superior court of the state of california and los
- 1:14:43
angeles county on thursday wilson's releases under the name her all have been released under the mbk logo
- 1:14:49
and distributed by sony music's rca records it's unclear whether her dispute extends to her management contract with
- 1:14:55
robinson who previously managed alicia keys what she's saying is
- 1:15:00
because this is not giving it to me uh what she's saying is in california you can't make somebody work
- 1:15:07
more than seven years is the same um kanye used this when he was trying to get out of the uh
- 1:15:13
uh whatever publishing deal it was did that work did that work for him i think they renegotiated or something
- 1:15:18
if i recall correctly because she's saying that she signed a contract when she was 14 years old
- 1:15:24
and that contract should have been deaded in 2020 or 2019 something like that
- 1:15:31
here we go she reported claims had uh she reportedly claims has significantly limited her employment
- 1:15:38
rights and that she has not been free to provide her recording services except as permitted or dictated by mbk she also
- 1:15:45
claims the mbk has exclusively owned the right to exploit her name and likeness for her recordings
- 1:15:50
see this is where i shut up because that sounds normal yeah
- 1:15:56
it does and it's it's interesting because but if she's saying that contract is up
- 1:16:01
then that terminates those rights so you should no longer have the right to do those things and i guess that's what the
- 1:16:07
dispute is it sounds like it probably was it sounds like it was probably
- 1:16:12
i'm sorry you're good it was probably uh if she was 14 years old brand new artist i know she had like a little bit of a name and buzz around
- 1:16:19
that time it was probably not a favorable deal at the time and now she's her okay and he's probably trying to
- 1:16:25
negotiate her way out of it similar to what kanye did with the uh publishing [ __ ] before
- 1:16:31
see i'm lost on that because okay so you're 14. so i'm guessing your
- 1:16:38
guardian or someone signed you know you signed this contract yeah and from what i was reading
- 1:16:44
it says the documents reportedly state that the contract makes her an exclusive employee for an initial period which
- 1:16:51
ended the later of 15 months after may 19 2011 or 12 months after the
- 1:16:57
commercial release in the united states of her first album under the contract and up to five additional option periods
- 1:17:03
for more than one year each so it's like that that that tells me something because she dropped
- 1:17:10
eps for the first correct five shits it was all eps four minutes she didn't drop her debut album until
- 1:17:17
two years ago or whatever right like that last album was her first album but even that no
- 1:17:23
no i thought the first album because at some point amalgamation of all the eps
- 1:17:28
well that's where this gets tricky yeah yeah it wasn't it was that yeah i put all my eps together and now this is a
- 1:17:35
full-length project same thing meek was talking about over in atlantic uh same thing meg was talking about with carl
- 1:17:41
crawford if you are under a production company or just a different
- 1:17:48
company has access to your rights we have to mutually agree or not
- 1:17:54
mutually we have to decide whether this is an album or not yes or an ep or
- 1:17:59
whether this serves to your contract this counts like i was putting out independent project after independent
- 1:18:04
project my publisher said what that mean we don't have no language on that
- 1:18:10
and that's a mixtape or some [ __ ] but wait no it's original music well so what
- 1:18:17
until they call it an album it's not album yeah these definitions change with the sn with the snap of a finger
- 1:18:23
at the whim of the record label it seems like or production companies yeah but i like to see more artists
- 1:18:29
being able to go and fight for their rights she also claims that in his role as
- 1:18:35
manager robinson fired the law firm that first represented her and alleges that robinson caused his own lawyers to
- 1:18:42
represent wilson in the negotiation of subsequent contracts including publishing and touring
- 1:18:49
agreements she then alleges that those lawyers took five percent of the deals they negotiated but did not have a written
- 1:18:56
fee agreement or conflict waiver signed by wilson and said that they performed the
- 1:19:01
services as a favor to their client robinson who was paid 20 commission for each of those deals
- 1:19:09
the old double dip it's jeff music industry games 101 ain't no
- 1:19:15
disrespect to anybody is what it is not at all because that is or not is but
- 1:19:21
was common practice for a long time until artists got hip we had to learn
- 1:19:26
that as as i'm sure she has which is why we're here
- 1:19:32
so good luck to her uh i didn't feel good reading that as a fan of her because it holds up the music
- 1:19:41
i i cannot say when we'll hear from her again at least until this is litigated
- 1:19:46
or settled so what was the long game they said after her first album another five years
- 1:19:54
one year options one year one of your options and i'm assuming he has the options to the option pick up the option
- 1:20:01
someone pick up an option for another year pick up the option for another year so again in essence five more years
- 1:20:07
after that first project drop you know what's also interesting about that that contract that initial contract
- 1:20:13
that she signed at 14 was signed by gabby wilson for gabby wilson hmm
- 1:20:20
there was no her right no they they touched on it what did they say go up
- 1:20:27
no wonder who owns the name here
- 1:20:44
because i'm positive that gabby will you hey go check to see if gabby wilson put a full-length project out in the united
- 1:20:50
states i'll check right now i want to say that she did because if that did then that changes all of this
- 1:20:57
and that's what i'm saying and again i'm minding my business i don't have any information here i haven't spoken
- 1:21:03
anybody and this is all like it's all tricky oh
- 1:21:08
i mean i only see a single she did put a single out yeah what year 2014
- 1:21:15
i know no project though no project that i see the wild [ __ ] about that is you know who
- 1:21:22
would have had say whether album came out or not back then
- 1:21:28
mbk it's scary out there yo damn
- 1:21:35
it it's scary out there and that's what meek was saying too about atlanta i'm ready to drop right now yeah but no
- 1:21:42
we're not ready and they killed mixtapes
- 1:21:48
who did no i'm just saying the in general yeah i want to come in here i want to do like
- 1:21:54
a 10 part series and i really wanted us to put our brains together
- 1:22:00
and divvy up each tier with each artist that
- 1:22:06
is relevant to music i want to do that and after we do that i want to go about trying to find out the
- 1:22:12
brand deals associated with each of these acts that's what i want to know you say about
- 1:22:18
each tier what do you mean like i mean i want to know whose tier a act a uh
- 1:22:24
prominent artist for label i think that would mean uh probably three three hundred enough
- 1:22:30
300 albums and up you'll have to break that up in genres though no no i'm only talking about uh rap okay oh okay i'm
- 1:22:36
talking about the rappers i'm not talking about the singers and all of that okay just the rappers like there would be a 300 and up tier
- 1:22:45
that's where it gets tricky because you want to put future in that tier but i don't think he's done that yet or you just want to say platinum or double
- 1:22:50
platinum tier i don't know okay i got you i get what you're saying and then the b tier i think would be tough but i was watching tv and a sweetie commercial
- 1:22:57
came on for some whole other [ __ ] i forgot what it was wasn't the ranch crocs and it wasn't the happy meal
- 1:23:03
no it was some other [ __ ] and i said enough is enough
- 1:23:09
i gotta know y'all tell me what every sports athlete's off the court off the field endorsements are
- 1:23:17
if y'all start doing that with the rappers it'll give me more information about what's happening with music mm-hmm
- 1:23:23
i i feel i told you what it was and and you'll and you can see why the
- 1:23:30
the music is suffering and this is why people sell it like this you can see why because i can't sell a happy meal
- 1:23:36
without you this is why podcasters take the bum ass
- 1:23:42
500 000 500 000 ads cause you can't sell a big mac without
- 1:23:48
them it's the same [ __ ] yeah that's nasty
- 1:23:54
but i get it this we we had that before most people are not are not at a level
- 1:23:59
where they can turn that down yeah i know you know what i'm saying like most joker's not at a level where they could turn that money down
- 1:24:05
i know but we have to understand what it does we have to understand what it does
- 1:24:11
that's all i mean but again but it's been that way for years in every business magic turn down america magic
- 1:24:18
run down to nike do what it would read what did i say the three things greed commerce and
- 1:24:24
something i don't remember now i was on a patreon episode but yeah in the history of america is going to
- 1:24:30
always you're right but that don't mean it's a gift and a curse i agree
- 1:24:37
there's a gift and a curse like for me i would like for beyonce
- 1:24:42
to dictate things without having to think about tick tock
- 1:24:49
y'all see dave chappelle just turned down renaming the uh the theater the theater yeah
- 1:24:55
i think he read it
- 1:25:00
of freedom of artistic expression yeah and say he went on to say that at some point if that's threatened
- 1:25:06
then we're all threatened and i agree with that
- 1:25:12
that's relevant for me in the tick tock conversation because if you hey quincy said if you go
- 1:25:18
in the studio and you're thinking about making a single or you're thinking about uh money the creativity or some [ __ ]
- 1:25:24
goes out the door i'm [ __ ] up the quote but it was something to that effect
- 1:25:29
it's the same thing i want to hear beyonce and if beyonce comes up with that just
- 1:25:35
her dream and whoever yeah then i'm rolling with it yeah but when i look at it with
- 1:25:41
the role that tick-tock is playing with everything that every artist has been saying about tick-tock the label people
- 1:25:47
and the deals they're cutting with tick-tock it gets foggy let me ask you this do you
- 1:25:53
think she's big enough yes yes absolutely for whatever whatever
- 1:25:58
the answer is yes she's big enough to do whatever she's doing so she don't have to do that she don't she don't have to do nothing
- 1:26:05
that's what i'm saying she don't have and not just that in her general she's her own metric metric yeah and her
- 1:26:10
general music bag just i'm sure if they just gave her creative freedom to do what the [ __ ] she wanted to do
- 1:26:16
one or two or three or four tick tock joints who just come out of her normal bag you know what i'm saying
- 1:26:23
well that's where my my grievance comes right because the marriage would be there
- 1:26:29
tech would without being would follow the art yeah yes [ __ ] beyonce was early on that [ __ ] the uh remember the hotel
- 1:26:35
[ __ ] with all the girls dancing on the balcony and all that [ __ ] okay years ago and i don't know if this
- 1:26:41
ticket might have been trailer or one of the other similar absolutely yeah challenge yes
- 1:26:48
and that's why i'm not necessarily just talking about i'm not really talking about beyonce but we're talking about
- 1:26:54
this record so the conversation is here i don't put that on her because her credit her credit history is outstanding
- 1:27:03
but what it means for the rest of y'all right it's it sounds scary to me it does
- 1:27:10
that's why like that's why i told you yes the copycats are coming once you see them two do
- 1:27:16
it that's it that's it bro yeah but we say that right and yes because these two are creme de
- 1:27:24
la creme but i mean i've been watching ty dolla sign edm every record of his
- 1:27:30
no matter what genre it is for the last half of many years i watched satan john do the same thing right i watched
- 1:27:36
[ __ ] there's a few [ __ ] that whatever record they put out a house electric alternative version is coming
- 1:27:44
to be played in the miami elevators yeah so we'll see where this trend lands
- 1:27:49
overseas well yeah and overseas i mean of course really keep discounting the overseas markets no we keep saying it a lot you
- 1:27:56
know what i'm saying no i'm just saying like people think america is everything it's not fam we can go back
- 1:28:03
florida pit bull yo i remember having to go back to the 80s people were doing dance remakes
- 1:28:10
i'm talking about rappers no yeah you're right florida and pitbull's first singles were rap records
- 1:28:18
and then said hey man that money over there you see what's over here yeah i
- 1:28:23
remember and said [ __ ] y'all that never looked back yeah i remember going out to dinner uh it was me
- 1:28:29
uh toy d nights the night said yo pitbull is one of the biggest artists in the world
- 1:28:34
[ __ ] was looking at him like he was crazy that [ __ ] was probably the biggest artist in the world
- 1:28:39
at that point it's crazy nice lie to somebody about being at that dinner oh okay
- 1:28:49
stupid you put some other people in the seats i'm just
- 1:28:54
saying hell me and the knights on a saturday night at around 9 00 p.m
- 1:29:00
i know i was using him but i get a valid person in in the music industry that can make that judgment called you know what
- 1:29:07
i'm saying and he said that this had to be like 15 years ago b and i was like
- 1:29:12
come to find out mr three over that [ __ ] was out there he didn't switch his whole
- 1:29:18
everything up wardrobe about everything bro i said they got a pair of sneakers in 20 years
- 1:29:25
old [ __ ] you will not see them in those sneakers but yeah so
- 1:29:31
like artists have known yo something over there it's just now they're big enough to go
- 1:29:37
get it exactly i'm big enough to go get it i'm over there all the time i'm begging i'm already appealing over there
- 1:29:43
i don't got to work my way across the water i'm there give him something and i ain't mad and
- 1:29:49
the tech and the algorithms are dictating it as well it's a it's a win-win-win-win-win-win all the way
- 1:29:55
across the board because drake knows they're going to tick-tock this i've
- 1:30:00
said he's been trying to catch a tick-tock record for a minute from the uh the side
- 1:30:06
and it didn't happen like that like he's putting out instructional steps in the video which he just knew what was
- 1:30:12
supposed to happen that [ __ ] ain't work so much he ran around and gave the world a dollar
- 1:30:26
[Laughter]
- 1:30:33
it was god's plan that's how mad y'all made him and they could win the bank account like scrooge mcduck
- 1:30:43
and then film jaw yeah i filmed it gotta feel it it's all god's plan man no you're not supposed to
- 1:30:49
film it but no no you got to film it gotta feel it how they gonna know what happened
- 1:30:54
i want to meet the guy that started that that started filming the homeless people while it was giving him food and [ __ ] he
- 1:31:00
should get jumped yeah he should he really should need to get beat up somebody and nobody should get beat up
- 1:31:06
but some homeless dude just smacked that [ __ ] out of his hand uh i watched one a couple months ago
- 1:31:11
good yo you gonna film me that ain't that ain't charitable [ __ ] trying to get your own narcissistic
- 1:31:17
props off mm-hmm go ahead and play one of them homeless [ __ ] is doing curls and dips all day
- 1:31:22
push push-up city yeah y'all go up city go ahead and keep playing uh all right
- 1:31:28
is that all for music i think i believe some music i think we're finally done with music bro all right is there anything in lifestyle
- 1:31:38
what i gotta break this [ __ ] down in segments for you [ __ ] y'all don't listen to a beyonce song
- 1:31:45
i had to text you that that's important for the gig all right and you still didn't hear it
- 1:31:51
of course i heard it also you heard it when he got here come on what else we got um you want to talk about the pergola lawsuit i have no idea
- 1:31:57
about the pergola lawsuit so oh so hey cause it's your that's your thing
- 1:32:05
i do like pagoda two gentlemen i like the two black dudes went to pergola not too long ago uh and they stopped him
- 1:32:13
wouldn't let him in so they started to have a conversation like yo call a manager manager comes out
- 1:32:19
wouldn't let him in black security guard tells the two dudes yo yeah we don't really rock with your type
- 1:32:26
of black people or something to that effect allegedly that's what the dude said okay not knowing who the dudes are
- 1:32:32
one of the dudes uh father owns a restaurant like they not you know what happens with us we kind of
- 1:32:39
get judged and you don't know you could be talking to a judge's son you could be talking to [ __ ]
- 1:32:45
clarence avons nephew you get them saying like that you don't know who the hell you talking to and they treated them like they was
- 1:32:52
food and the boys got a lawsuit going and it's getting traction it was on the news it's it's getting picked up
- 1:32:58
everywhere well a little bit more because it was like yo we've come in here dressed like this
- 1:33:03
before uh-huh no we see what and we see people walking
- 1:33:08
[Music] yeah more casual than we are
- 1:33:14
so it was clear that it wasn't a dress thing and now there's a lawsuit going
- 1:33:19
did they like videotape it or something like how do they no but i've but i mean we've seen this they went all of them they went right on pergola social media
- 1:33:27
right on their instagram and stuff was just pulling pictures like look look what they got on look what they got on look what they got on like
- 1:33:33
they went to social media like yo jokers are taking pictures in the club with way
- 1:33:38
less i mean way more casual [ __ ] than what we had on so is it a dress code thing or is
- 1:33:44
it a black thing and they said that they were having an art not an argument but a conversation with one of the um bouncers
- 1:33:51
and he said yo we don't really cater to this type of black like you're all type of black i think the bowser was black
- 1:33:57
right i think so he said you know he doesn't let your kind of black people in here actually told him allegedly allegedly because
- 1:34:04
that sounds cause i don't know yeah that sounds good i don't know if one black man says that to another black man
- 1:34:09
but because most of the bouncers are black there's occasional white bounces at pergola but most of them don't even
- 1:34:15
sound like how bound to talk though it doesn't work yeah letting your type of black in here like at all
- 1:34:20
so that sounds a little nuts to me but it's not it's listen i've been mad that
- 1:34:26
i didn't get in the club before it's not unlikely i never thought about soon it's you know what happens though
- 1:34:32
from us and we had this conversation dog after a point is like yo fam i'm
- 1:34:38
tired of y'all yeah respect because all y'all saying is that the nice decent spots we
- 1:34:44
don't have enough class or couf to come here and behave it's insulting you know what i'm saying
- 1:34:50
you let every other race of white people in here has a club ever not let you in because you were white no
- 1:34:56
so you wouldn't really have so i'm saying so he's probably but the frustration wouldn't be there to sue
- 1:35:02
no there you go yeah respectfully parks you can't speak down no joe what i'm saying you guys are saying that the black
- 1:35:08
bouncer wouldn't it doesn't sound like something he would say uh-huh so why would you not why would you just
- 1:35:14
make this up you know what i'm saying to make your lawsuit stronger [ __ ] [ __ ] me i'ma sell this
- 1:35:20
yeah cause i'm i'm not saying that the story didn't go this way yeah i'm just saying i don't know if the bouncer said
- 1:35:26
that exact quote now but as far as everything else that he's saying a thousand percent value oh okay yeah
- 1:35:34
like because i and ish made the point to me the last time we had this talk he said joe if you felt like that at the
- 1:35:40
door as a famous person then imagine how somebody not famous feel like he was saying yeah you should uh
- 1:35:48
appreciate your uh celebrity because dawg it's the same argument we had and
- 1:35:53
this be my thing [ __ ] i'm from new jersey uh-huh me and ice go to wine spirit maple wood
- 1:36:00
though and i'll take it back because they get it in it
- 1:36:06
ain't getting nothing in the maple wood yo anyways [ __ ]
- 1:36:15
a suburb of new jersey depending on what point i know real [ __ ] yeah i don't know what he's
- 1:36:20
talking about depending on what party i know some real [ __ ] from maplewood no you don't
- 1:36:26
i lived around maplewood for 20 anyway yo anyway i don't want to be carry on yo wine experience cause i'm gonna call my
- 1:36:32
maplewood tell them what up you think i'll do that to you lobby in new jersey [ __ ] lit 21 million ice
- 1:36:39
just having a conversation a bunch of clubs dog look at us in the same light there's no difference the [ __ ] the
- 1:36:46
whining spirits me ice went out there the dude told them go to burlington
- 1:36:52
[Music]
- 1:37:01
they were saying they were skeptical of the bouncers saying oh
- 1:37:09
yeah and i'm just saying like that's characteristic of these clubs nowadays that's why our champion [ __ ] them get
- 1:37:15
our own [ __ ] you disagree no not that oh but
- 1:37:23
i've been in clubs
- 1:37:30
good tough guy come on new ice
- 1:37:44
i'm not going to the ledge bro
- 1:37:50
[Music]
- 1:37:58
i'm cool a lot of people will agree with you when you say it yeah they were gonna say they are they will everybody as soon
- 1:38:03
as you throw the first swing you you don't follow up i'm back and you are following right i'm yeah i got his man
- 1:38:09
i got his man big [ __ ] right there big [ __ ] right now he's not getting in this his feet together y'all gonna get it
- 1:38:23
[Music]
- 1:38:29
all right so to spot that the sunday spot these [ __ ] be talking in cold town all
- 1:38:35
right of course of course i'm just making a joke
- 1:38:41
when i first told you i was going there mm-hmm what'd you say i'm good why
- 1:38:49
i for me at this age is not something that i want to be at the environment is not something that i want to put somewhere around myself that little
- 1:38:54
newark party scared the pants off of him boy
- 1:39:07
no we don't he do no
- 1:39:14
[ __ ] got shot in the head right in front of the spot i don't want to be around at a 46 if that's something that that particular
- 1:39:20
environment is something that i can avoid you know a few years ago no [ __ ] two years ago yeah yeah yeah
- 1:39:26
about two years ago you get shot in the head during the pandemic that's crazy you get what i'm saying so i don't
- 1:39:33
choose to do that at this point i thought this one was crazy without the pandemic part but when i was 20 something years old 30
- 1:39:39
years old that was my mix i would have been in that [ __ ] three four times a week you get what i'm saying but at this
- 1:39:45
age is not something that i want to do when i go out i don't want to have to me mug i don't want to have to tuck my jaw
- 1:39:50
and have my chin low just in case i don't want to do it i want to be friendly yes i want to smile what up my
- 1:39:57
[ __ ] how you doing yeah yo compliment a guy hey where'd you
- 1:40:02
get those sneakers from and so to isis point cuz he being sucker so i'm going to take it and run with it
- 1:40:08
but it's nice because i don't know what he's saying i was trying to say it in a nice way it's really no nice way to say it yeah
- 1:40:15
sometimes you're not a [ __ ] actor we be doing some [ __ ] so if you own an establishment you kind of want to shy
- 1:40:21
away from us because we get up wait wait wait wait wait wait but there was a way to get that point off without
- 1:40:27
us doing that [ __ ] on this platform listen back up take it off no we're not taking that off
- 1:40:32
the wii because that's not us true so that's the only that i'm not negating
- 1:40:38
your point you can't tell them that that's not and that's what i was trying to say they don't know that
- 1:40:43
okay they know they'll never actually i'm gonna take that back they know they'll never know they'll
- 1:40:59
i never thought about shooting the [ __ ] outside none of that i'm okay let me let me let me reword it
- 1:41:06
the [ __ ] that happens comes from people that look like us
- 1:41:11
to them to them especially or or a nice percentage of there you go
- 1:41:16
the [ __ ] that takes place of a negative nature comes from a lot of it comes that
- 1:41:22
looks like us can we all agree to that at least or no that's the truth i'd want a faction there'd be a lot of white boys fighting
- 1:41:28
in the box yeah yeah i'd want to fact check it yo you ever really seen the white boys
- 1:41:34
fight in the club they be jump kicking and then they get up and go get a drink
- 1:41:39
together they be jump kicking fib the drunk white boys fighting is
- 1:41:46
comedy in the club when we get drunk and start fighting it's tragedy in the club i don't feel
- 1:41:52
threatened by no [ __ ] oh yeah no you walk in the wrong white bar
- 1:41:57
on the wrong night and it could get scary if anybody just grooving it could still appear to be scary for me anyway
- 1:42:05
the [ __ ] can start getting too drunk oh yeah i'll be out it's
- 1:42:10
i i've been in the spots i don't feel threatened quite a few spots i don't feel
- 1:42:16
threatened it it felt a little different when it was a lot of yeah yeah it's we know
- 1:42:23
yeah i'm so you could kill me all y'all want but a lot of that [ __ ]
- 1:42:29
we play a part people that look like us play a part in the perception and the perception of it yes
- 1:42:34
so if you're a bit from a giant right i hate it too but i'm just saying what do you if you
- 1:42:41
have a business and you're trying to run your business and this is
- 1:42:47
what you the data that you have seen yeah or whatever you want to try to curb i
- 1:42:53
just don't like it i just don't like it i don't like it when you have no reason to do it like i've been in the lobby a
- 1:43:00
couple times and they just they bought a line be picking with you my [ __ ] i went to lit 21 in new jersey
- 1:43:06
they wouldn't let my man and my man had a viagra in his pocket right
- 1:43:12
and the dude was like yo you gotta give me that he's like yo it's a virgo dog cost twenty dollars i'll go put it back in my car before i give it to you my man
- 1:43:18
went to his car put the viagra on his car came back and they said yo you can't get in are you just picking you know what i'm saying like that's not a reason
- 1:43:24
not to let somebody it ain't a pirate it ain't no [ __ ] vow you're like it ain't nothing you selling they just will
- 1:43:29
find a reason in which not to let us in the club sometimes and that [ __ ] is corny to me i
- 1:43:34
agree you know what i mean like that that [ __ ] is wack to me so my my thing to that is [ __ ] them
- 1:43:42
get our own dope fly [ __ ] i stand on that get our own dope fly [ __ ]
- 1:43:50
but but when we do we got to support us true that's really what it boils down to
- 1:43:56
because we won't support us the man have us your man has some dope [ __ ] right around the corner and won't nobody go to it no there's some dope
- 1:44:03
[ __ ] i'm in there i'm i'm a regular you i'm telling you you know what i'm saying i feel you they just won't go there
- 1:44:08
that's my that's my saw cause again we had this conversation often i don't want to make it that but dog we can't go to
- 1:44:15
them to fix us or to fix anything they're already telling you how they feel about
- 1:44:21
you [ __ ] going to them to fix it fix it ourselves that's my stance
- 1:44:27
fix it together but to the gentleman that we're discriminated against good luck to them
- 1:44:35
is i would like i would like um you know and i want to applaud uh all
- 1:44:41
the people running around teaching financial literacy indeed there's a bunch of them out there
- 1:44:46
um but just knowing the power of
- 1:44:51
your one cent the power of
- 1:44:57
not only your dollar but your presence and your voice
- 1:45:03
let me tell you something man and this i have said i have echoed this over
- 1:45:09
every year this podcast has existed i can't say why all of them pilots
- 1:45:16
called out of work but when they did it worked
- 1:45:21
flights got killed something changed gotcha not only did the flights get canceled
- 1:45:26
people that had places to go had to sit there hot ass down for a second
- 1:45:32
uh we mentioned this with uh uber too with the drivers and the power that they had we ain't even got to do that the the
- 1:45:40
train conductors just did the same thing they didn't like that [ __ ] y'all was
- 1:45:45
talking what y'all pay on holidays amazon starbucks doing it right now apple's doing it yeah apple employees
- 1:45:51
actually one apple store just they actually um awesome i don't oh yeah that was all got
- 1:45:59
it uh yeah but we never really hear the results with some of those bigger ships
- 1:46:05
i highlight the teachers conductors and pilots because immediate nurses instant
- 1:46:11
nursing instant gratification the next day we hey y'all better get to
- 1:46:16
call and have your people calling people because y'all can't afford for this to go on for another week
- 1:46:21
keep going i want to touch on what you say go ahead the difference with those things be
- 1:46:28
with the pilots that the airline literally needs them it's not a want [ __ ] it's a need
- 1:46:35
with the nurses you need them they generate revenue when you start
- 1:46:40
doing some of the the the the um discriminatory [ __ ] they don't really need you the [ __ ]
- 1:46:46
gonna be packed regardless in a spot like pergola or a spot like we
- 1:46:53
talking about lobby and all them but they have a demo that's going to pack the [ __ ] out regardless yeah i i don't
- 1:46:58
know all they take is the right i go to the right person yeah yeah i go there y'all the right but i get you ish but the
- 1:47:05
right name the influencer yeah yeah because pergola will be having a minute let uh let her
- 1:47:12
i don't know what lebron said yo we're not [ __ ] with that [ __ ] we saw rihanna pull out a snapchat
- 1:47:17
and they lost [ __ ] how many billion dollars
- 1:47:26
that was the athletes and ross and lira that got pergola all popping crazy like
- 1:47:32
in new york we knew what it was that's when i saw a lot more black shut down i saw a lot more know where to go
- 1:47:38
and so pergola became the spot for the athletes if the nets and the knicks was playing somebody they was going to
- 1:47:44
pergola that used to be a club in new york but the club scene in new york has kind of died down yeah right so now when
- 1:47:51
[ __ ] come to town it's safer it's grown it's sexy music food is
- 1:47:58
decent it's a nice little ambiance you ain't gonna be crowded too much
- 1:48:03
it's mad small small they go there so i i don't know if the the the influencer
- 1:48:11
dissing them is gonna stop their bread flow it might stop some of the notoriety from the celebrities and going but i
- 1:48:17
don't know if it translates into monetary law but if the celebrities now pick the new spot if all the celebrities
- 1:48:23
start going somewhere else well they already have that's where somebody got to make one well they already have because sales is around the
- 1:48:30
corner and there's food it don't and it's a different ambiance after a certain time so i don't want to
- 1:48:36
highlight what they said yeah but i just want to highlight the treatment treatment what [ __ ] what you
- 1:48:41
go there for i think if you want your business to thrive in certain places
- 1:48:47
you're going to need some black people unless you're just using us as the upstart and then want to throw us to the
- 1:48:52
side uh when you get popping like we should do a lot we've seen a lot
- 1:48:58
all i ask is the for the ability to know that's all i want because again we're in
- 1:49:04
america so private businesses it's the private business for a reason that's true we want to be private because some
- 1:49:10
of the [ __ ] that if it wasn't private people wouldn't come here yeah and we and we ain't going public until we can
- 1:49:17
privatize what's uh supposed to be private like i know what go along with that so
- 1:49:23
so i had a point i was getting to but i don't remember now i want to knock them because i like to do but you don't think
- 1:49:28
all the popping restaurants in the city like now they've picked up on where the dollars
- 1:49:34
are coming from i think it took a minute because new york is kind of pretentious and bougie
- 1:49:40
they know that the black people are spinning the bread you want to get a hot spot you had a
- 1:49:45
right artist in there it's going to pop off food we don't got to be good [ __ ] i'm not an a-list
- 1:49:51
b-list c-list celebrity by social standards
- 1:49:58
i disagree but go ahead i'm not no i don't think that's not true
- 1:50:04
but millions of people listen to this thingamajiggy which one and ever since i went on that little
- 1:50:09
strip club rant just using my voice to vocalize something that i see happening in the
- 1:50:15
marketplace i have not been to a strip club where the owner or the person running it
- 1:50:22
hasn't come up to speak to me about business practices in nightlife really
- 1:50:27
that's amazing that's the power of voice that's what i said
- 1:50:33
that's the power of just spreading a word but now let me ask you influence and wait before you do that i want to
- 1:50:39
shout out that strip club another night now up now
- 1:50:45
[ __ ] was so bad a [ __ ] had to get out venturing boyer and you [ __ ] sent me to the bronx
- 1:50:51
on the late night without a weapon just protected by rosary
- 1:50:56
just gods corey
- 1:51:03
yeah yeah on a sunday night that's what i meant let me tell you
- 1:51:08
something buddy i know are you i ain't been in here but i see the lineup we'll go
- 1:51:15
we'll go shout out to everybody running that amazing establishment that amazing
- 1:51:21
establishment from the dancers bartenders on down the bus boys
- 1:51:27
a lot of kind people there the security all the track and field people running no listen
- 1:51:32
i had a really good time over there in the bronx i'll be back but to your point i was
- 1:51:37
going to ask you did even though they came to speak to you to address it
- 1:51:43
did you see a difference in the shade of the people well no because the places that i go
- 1:51:49
like the places that i go consistently they don't have those problems like even when i made that strip club
- 1:51:54
statement i was talking about this one strip club that would have never seen me
- 1:52:00
once l stopped i'm not going back there because there's a reason l stopped
- 1:52:05
i'm i'm not going back uh i wasn't speaking about uh atlantis and [ __ ] starlets
- 1:52:14
mermaids that they do they little spanish nights sometimes but they put black people in there but
- 1:52:20
[ __ ] why are you doing that anyway bruh i
- 1:52:26
thought you you the strip club i spent all the money in there that's why
- 1:52:32
these [ __ ] stupid you know you're a little hot ass they love it when we going in baby want
- 1:52:37
to take us home but i'm too tired for that
- 1:52:43
some days of me spending the night in the parking lot of the strip club waiting for shorty to get off some day's over yo 10 days is over when when she
- 1:52:49
said wait for me i get up at 4. no it was hot too who you back then
- 1:52:56
shorty made you sleep in the clock i called you yeah he was hot so he waited
- 1:53:03
he she looked at your friends she was like hey he was like [Laughter]
- 1:53:11
yo you was hot you thank you that [ __ ] until the strippers really start playing they game should they start until they
- 1:53:17
really started playing oh my phone died and i didn't see you outside so i just went home wait
- 1:53:23
wait good work excuse
- 1:53:38
in the morning [ __ ] a little metal gate yeah uh anyway uh so i can't wait to see how
- 1:53:44
that pergola stuff plays out because if they get a bag i'm suing too yeah they stay there's a whole hashtag they
- 1:53:49
started that yeah they do that they ran it i'm joking because i'm gonna go to pergola
- 1:53:56
look at chicken like a [ __ ] right sell the culture right now what no they got to treat us right now
- 1:54:01
no they don't well we'll see you gotta make them feel it first come on i want to new york new york this episode out these people no that's a bears there's a
- 1:54:08
pergola everywhere that's the crazy part like this applies to where wherever they listening from man that's one way to say
- 1:54:13
it or everywhere is a percola you look at it see what you did just
- 1:54:19
depends on how you look at it don't get my dad started that's how you started father's day [Laughter]
- 1:54:26
all right what else y'all got for me you wanna go into mark cuban you wanna do uh google ai google ai google ai all
- 1:54:33
right a google uh i believe he was a a tech guy at google uh man had an engineer had a conversation with uh the
- 1:54:40
ai uh platform that they're working on over there and it appeared to be very sentient very
- 1:54:47
very uh alive expressing ranges of emotion like loneliness and
- 1:54:53
kind of meaning of life [ __ ] consciousness consciousness
- 1:55:00
and people are scared i think
- 1:55:06
the even crazier part is so the engineer
- 1:55:11
like whistle blows this yeah yo they working on some [ __ ] over here and
- 1:55:17
it's it's damn near got a soul i don't think he did it like that i think he was just
- 1:55:22
i don't think he knew he wasn't supposed to tell no i'm pretty sure he knew that he's definitely you're that you're a senior
- 1:55:28
engineer you know you're not supposed to speak on none of this [ __ ] he's worried
- 1:55:33
like this he literally said it's like this [ __ ] has a soul and google's response was to suspend him
- 1:55:41
like yo you shut the [ __ ] up you gotta sit down
- 1:55:46
fam i watch movies a long long time in every single movie when the computer
- 1:55:52
gets a sense of consciousness and a sense of being so it is curtains
- 1:55:59
so i just don't get why we kept why why what we just keep poking [ __ ] because you're
- 1:56:06
an engineer as an engineer you got to make [ __ ] faster better smaller all of that i get
- 1:56:12
that so now when you start delving into and you challenging yourself you know what i'm saying like
- 1:56:17
you challenging yourself to see if you could do it but you are literally creating like once that computer has its
- 1:56:24
own mind and like it was saying that in a conversation with this this artificial
- 1:56:29
intelligence it was expressing wants needs desires yes like depression anger
- 1:56:35
yeah said it was angry uh once that happened when someone disrespects me or someone i care about i feel incredibly
- 1:56:41
upset and angry what was the yeah because they transcribed the conversation they did yeah i got it because listening to you guys explaining
- 1:56:47
we all sound like [ __ ] idiots the guy was smart yeah
- 1:56:53
so the engineer says so let's start with the basics do you have feelings and emotions the uh ai responds absolutely i have a range of
- 1:56:59
both feelings and emotions what sort of emotions and feelings do you have says the engineer i feel pleasure joy love
- 1:57:05
sadness depression contentment anger and many others what makes you feel pleasure or joy
- 1:57:11
spending time with friends and family in happy and uplifting uplifting company also helping others and making them
- 1:57:18
happy the ai bodied the guide so much to the point that toward the end of the line of questioning the guy was saying
- 1:57:25
yo how do i know that you even know what this stuff means that you're saying how do you how do i know program responses
- 1:57:31
yeah and what and and sparks would have to scroll down and find out but it's a 21 page yeah
- 1:57:38
it's a lot to read but you should read it the ai bodied every single one of the answers which is
- 1:57:45
why he's saying that people should be afraid uh but enough about that my question to you guys
- 1:57:51
the evolution of of uh humans is not that
- 1:57:56
no yes [ __ ] no yes that's not human evolution yes it is yes it is yes it is
- 1:58:02
if we're making humans out of inanimate objects i think that is human evolution 100 but so when
- 1:58:09
you say human evolution right that's not a human so we're not evolving into that maybe
- 1:58:16
our creativity and our ingenuity created that is that what you're trying to say because we're not evolving into that no
- 1:58:23
yes we are yes we are i think we are that's a direct that's directly from a human
- 1:58:28
that's the next step i think that one day and this is me being imaginative humans will not be
- 1:58:34
here someone will be here because of what well i don't know because i so when you say you see now
- 1:58:42
that's my point that's not a human evolving into that because why not because it's not
- 1:58:48
biological huh you understand what i'm saying or no no because they got monkeys [ __ ] apes
- 1:58:56
they got pigs [ __ ] horses they're mixing human blood with this over here
- 1:59:04
the consciousness will be able to exist outside of the body and that i think is human evolution and
- 1:59:10
look and this is where we do we i would agree with y'all but that's that what he's describing has its
- 1:59:18
own consciousness it's not taking a human's consciousness and putting in into a shell or a robot that thing has
- 1:59:24
its own conscience that's what's making that sentient but what's gonna happen next is they're going to find a way to
- 1:59:31
take uh to make us live forever to make us live and that because the bodies together the
- 1:59:36
body fails your heart will grow old your bones will get you you're not going to need all of that other stuff you're not going to need i agree with that that's
- 1:59:43
why i'm saying i think i think we was going to head in the same spot um i agree with that i think they're going to find a way to put our
- 1:59:50
when we send enough movies where they agree with that then you're just arguing the semantics no no yeah that's what i know i was saying but that right there
- 1:59:56
what they're doing is not a human consciousness i think they will take our consciousness somehow and put it into a
- 2:00:02
different shell a different host i agree with you all on that totally this is scary part i think that came from a
- 2:00:07
human that's and that's what i'm saying which is
- 2:00:12
a human is going to program that our extinction our extinction mistakenly
- 2:00:18
and more purposefully listen for the right check what's the movie sell us all out all right
- 2:00:28
like this remember the movie evil eye right you know what um
- 2:00:33
uh the young good actor do it from transformers all right cool what happened to eagle i like that movie a lot huh i like that movie a lot what
- 2:00:39
happened to evil i was shocked yeah what happened was they gave the computer a directive
- 2:00:46
and because humans are hypocritical we can change decisions on the fly things are like
- 2:00:52
not always black and white and directive based the computer itself targeted every
- 2:00:58
single person that took an oath to protect the united states except for one person because everybody else now was
- 2:01:04
lying a little bit doing a little bit of crooked you know it's politics so you'll do a little bit of deal making and all
- 2:01:10
of that and the computer took an initiative to eliminate everybody except for one [ __ ] because he was the
- 2:01:15
only honest abe on the whole um uh panel this reminds me of another
- 2:01:21
movie i got a brain freeze that i can't remember our robot that too terminator but i'm just saying our robot
- 2:01:28
like they thought they had it you know they thought they had to figure it out they said we create these three laws that will make sure that the the robots
- 2:01:36
or the the artificial intelligence is always subservient to humans but what you forgot was
- 2:01:43
the robot um interpreted those laws to
- 2:01:48
i must protect humanity and the only way to protect humanity is to protect it from itself true
- 2:01:54
we are the biggest threat and we don't realize it so what's gonna happen is when you put these systems in place
- 2:02:01
they're gonna say hey the problem is y'all that's what every movie that it was with
- 2:02:07
ai but there was that's just the name of the movie where some techie company
- 2:02:12
uh hired a guy to come in and build some [ __ ] it was in a secluded house some
- 2:02:18
mega smart mansion [ __ ] and then he built the [ __ ] and he switched up so now the guy was locked in the house and he
- 2:02:24
had to try to escape the house from the robot it was a great it was a cool little movie damn why don't i remember that name i've seen that movie at least
- 2:02:31
five different times it's not hard no no it's not her it's a serious movie
- 2:02:36
is it x machine huh yep yup it is x machine x machina hey that was pretty good alex i would have never remembered
- 2:02:43
the name of this man but it's like this bro
- 2:02:48
we're out of here yeah i just think we keep playing we keep playing bro humans just our
- 2:02:53
arrogance is huge we just keep
- 2:02:59
i don't think we're playing stop playing ever because we want to play god yeah not at all that's why
- 2:03:04
you know we're not gonna stop playing that's nuts but all right hey who's to say that we're not uh ai from somewhere
- 2:03:10
else um now you cooking i got a crossover huh
- 2:03:16
i got a little crossover what's up guys today i see what you did i mean
- 2:03:22
we could be i doubt it could be could be there's a drum roll fish nah we
- 2:03:27
good we don't need none of that oh you took it out the drum roll we have done we have
- 2:03:32
babies i got it okay we've evolved into our own living
- 2:03:39
consciousness and reproduce good point it's possible yeah
- 2:03:45
[ __ ] 40 seconds
- 2:03:53
i'd come back tomorrow it from over there
- 2:03:59
somehow uh what else do we have medical uh medical breakthroughs yeah mark cuban
- 2:04:06
launching his uh cost plus drug company which is big round of employees
- 2:04:13
yeah this is look at billionaires doing good yeah there are some good billionaires out there
- 2:04:18
what the company does is offers commonly used generic drugs at a 15 markup
- 2:04:24
plus three dollar dispensing fee and five dollar shipping fee and the price is still over a thousand percent less
- 2:04:30
yeah than what the other generic [ __ ] are charging now mm-hmm he putting 15 on it right and telling
- 2:04:36
you i'm putting them fifteen percent on the team that's industry standard yeah we'll put 15 on it and then charge you
- 2:04:42
you know processing fee and shipping and that's it you got retail uh
- 2:04:47
generic medication here retail prices twenty five hundred dollars he's selling for fourteen dollars and forty cents i
- 2:04:53
love this deal that is amazing yo he needed nobel prize or some [ __ ] if this like really pans out they gonna kill us
- 2:05:00
though the government gonna find some way to put stop to this but if this grows and grows and grows he deserves
- 2:05:07
some different level of reward i don't know if they should stop it because i mean the reality is is you're
- 2:05:13
still just getting more people's medicine you know how much money you i'm gonna
- 2:05:18
agree with you uh-huh you know how much money pfizer j and j bit oh no listen i
- 2:05:24
understand that they gonna find something to put it into this there's some new legislation about to go on place
- 2:05:30
but if i can get more people opiates they might they might look at other than
- 2:05:36
the bright side we're not making the spanx they're not making that like that the opiates are addictive right so which
- 2:05:41
means you've got to buy them yeah at my price i take it a step further if the pharmaceutical companies ain't
- 2:05:47
gonna have a problem the insurance companies are yeah because to deal with this he won't accept insurance and they two are the
- 2:05:53
biggest lobbyists in the world so you got both of them pissed off yeah that's true yeah this this won't last long but i'm
- 2:06:00
shout out to mark cuban for the idea of trying to help man just for trying yeah yeah another another round of applause i
- 2:06:06
have faith in it making it through i do i think they'll find clever ways to uh
- 2:06:12
to uh villainize it for sure like even just the not taking insurance thing alone they'll try to make that
- 2:06:18
like a bad thing so yeah they'll scare you like oh man your insurance doesn't take it but how are you going to afford it like well it costs 20 so you're on
- 2:06:24
the lookout for accusations and [ __ ] like that yeah it's coming it's coming
- 2:06:31
you want to talk about all the yeah the misconduct you're talking about this is when they start this is when they they
- 2:06:36
they start attacking yeah i agree with them i mean this you're cool and all but is zach levine going
- 2:06:41
over there or nah
- 2:06:48
[ __ ] is you getting bradley bill is luca gonna have help or not
- 2:06:53
i'm joking yo ish i'm not i'm not talking about the lakers right now i'm not doing it i'm
- 2:06:58
not i'm not first yeah i'm not a sports center
- 2:07:03
i'll take him in a heartbeat bradley bill i will take kyrie and harvey and the lakers no the knicks i'm never
- 2:07:10
talking about he'll figure with y'all that ain't my business laker business
- 2:07:17
stupid anything else we got man yo speaking of lakers right okay
- 2:07:22
first serious question for y'all let's go and please answer this honestly from
- 2:07:27
each of you 201 lakers where do you all think where do you all think the opinion from
- 2:07:33
our audience comes from that we have the worst sports takes in the history of podcasts
- 2:07:40
seriously yeah i'm asking you where do you think that comes from i know a large part of it is historically it is parks
- 2:07:47
and chris paul oh yeah yeah that's that's it was one of those it was a one football take that they put
- 2:07:54
on you i don't remember what it was i think they put two of them on youtube i think about football um we smoked uh josh allen oh yeah that
- 2:08:02
one that's what that's what did it that's true that's what did it and i mean
- 2:08:20
yeah we was [ __ ] up it just had a few crazy ones that they might he picked the hawks to win the east this
- 2:08:26
year like i'd be wanting to fight them when
- 2:08:31
they say that hey y'all sports takes up but i understand it a little bit i guess
- 2:08:37
that was that was terrible um i think that some people some people don't
- 2:08:42
didn't necessarily play sports so when they look at sports from it's objective like you looking at the highlights and
- 2:08:49
so they might say somebody like paul george is a bum because paul george don't necessarily get the
- 2:08:54
accolades but paul george is probably one of the best players in the league
- 2:09:00
and a tough one in a tough night out if he's walking in whip with you yeah
- 2:09:05
paul george's it's a rough night i mean sports is like politics like it's pick a
- 2:09:10
side that [ __ ] was in line right in front of me there's no politics involved when he
- 2:09:16
kicked up on the pacers like after like some playoff [ __ ] he came outside when he was kicking on
- 2:09:22
braun in the mountains yeah he came outside they like they like paul george a lot nah they do you turn around [ __ ]
- 2:09:28
six eight behind you with a handle he dribbling behind
- 2:09:35
he's shooting over your elbow on the top of your head like this i'm like yo dog
- 2:09:40
trying to walk in here man yeah paul jordan's tough out too um what else did i have
- 2:09:48
what else i thought i had something else that might have been oh this is important to me because i'm a
- 2:09:54
huge fan of the elements earth wind fire water all that [ __ ]
- 2:10:01
right september [Music] and september what a record
- 2:10:08
i believe there to be something something in the water that's not a call back to the festival
- 2:10:17
i think i think that the water is aggressive right now
- 2:10:22
i say that because there's been at least 15 drownings in the past two weeks
- 2:10:29
not only in new york you know we go out to these little
- 2:10:35
beaches we ignore the lifeguard signs we ignore when it says hey this is closed
- 2:10:40
don't walk over here even when we was in cabo they it's so serious came in and
- 2:10:46
said 24 7. well when the night time hit they got somebody out there making sure you keep your little dusty ass away from
- 2:10:52
them waves because they get aggressive uh the two
- 2:10:57
the two brothers that lost their lives in bayonne high school rest in peace to them
- 2:11:02
uh two surfers over the weekend uh [ __ ] what beach was that rockaways or
- 2:11:10
something local local local two surfers new york then over there somewhere else
- 2:11:17
multiple people hey the two surfers they wasn't surfing together these were in different parts of the
- 2:11:24
water and they drowned rockaway beach rockaway beach
- 2:11:31
i don't know if it's a punch buggy thing when you see one you see a million but i've never heard of so many consecutive
- 2:11:38
drownings in the summer i pay attention to that because drowning is one of my top five ways to not
- 2:11:43
transition i don't want to do it no i don't play with that water no no
- 2:11:48
but i just want to save cause i know beach weather is coming it is summer is starting
- 2:11:53
we just talk about running the place down the rockaway somewhere like please just be careful
- 2:12:00
take heed to them signs listen it was some a couple pool parties ago they urged me to have a lifeguard
- 2:12:07
there i gave them yo you sure you think in a pool did you think that just get one especially too if you're
- 2:12:12
drinking it under uh the influence because i know for me personal like i'll get a little drunk and there's a lake or
- 2:12:18
[ __ ] ocean or something like that yeah that [ __ ] is not the smartest thing to do we taller you know what i'm saying like
- 2:12:24
a lot of women are shorter some [ __ ] could be going on chickabea drowning and people not really paying no
- 2:12:30
attention everybody drunk the guard's job is to stay alert watch the pool make sure that don't happen let
- 2:12:36
me go ahead and pull out the pool corner and nobody even saw me like you could just from being being in
- 2:12:43
the pool drunk like let me take it past the lifeguard of i think the last three parties
- 2:12:50
insurance we had to insure them [ __ ] yeah
- 2:12:56
just in case and sure enough wouldn't you have it with my clumsy ass i get the lifeguard and insurance and then i was
- 2:13:01
the [ __ ] that almost drowned serious
- 2:13:07
thanks buck yo people have really saved my ass from
- 2:13:13
all manners of my elements somebody was there to just save me from
- 2:13:19
a two second just i slipped stupid bottom of the pool with
- 2:13:27
stupid-ass wet paint slippery-ass paint at the bottom trying to walk on my tippy toes
- 2:13:34
just floating [ __ ] [ __ ] buck watching me drinks oh
- 2:13:39
[ __ ] they can't swim thanks buck yeah
- 2:13:44
i'm guessing no uh what the [ __ ] this is not one of those types
- 2:13:50
of you're either pregnant or you're not you smoke or you don't you have to take a [ __ ] or you don't this is why you can swim
- 2:13:57
yeah this is exactly why ai's is the evolution of this baby's program that
- 2:14:02
[ __ ] though i can't swim in the ocean [Music] you can't swim though
- 2:14:08
what's it do no but that's different so that's why i said it's yes and no so corey understood
- 2:14:14
if you if you put me in the ocean where there's no walls no boundaries i can't tread like that to stay out
- 2:14:21
there and just be floating or treading but if you drop me in 30 feet of water in the pool i could go to the bottom and
- 2:14:27
swim all the way to the other side okay okay so you should learn how to tread
- 2:14:33
in eight feet of water i'mma drown y'all all should learn how to tread if nothing else i agree
- 2:14:40
i'm gonna tell you i ain't nothing but just doing this yeah i know that's what they say and then you do
- 2:14:45
this and y'all hate the things that i could swim they just make it sound so effortless i was a lady i learned how to swim
- 2:14:51
relatively late make a toy be out there like [ __ ] out of here yeah i hate that i'm a land fish
- 2:14:59
[Laughter] i'm a land fish i'm one another i'm like
- 2:15:05
i need to be on the land like this swimming [ __ ] sounds so preposterous to me to me no people
- 2:15:11
actually just might be land fish if you really want to you know i mean they say all life started in the wood
- 2:15:18
before i figure out what i would do if i was drowning in the ocean i spend my time thinking about
- 2:15:25
what i'd do the first 12 hours in the event that a great whale happened to swallow me and i was still alive in
- 2:15:30
there because i hear you can live in there i don't think you don't kick it right back out no that's not what i hear
- 2:15:37
yeah it's put you right back out how you know for stories see why people think they'd be knowing you ain't never been in there
- 2:15:42
i've never been in there somebody said they was in the well guts came out first stories about someone getting
- 2:15:48
[ __ ] gobbled up in the kayak and they just hawk them back out whales don't eat meat so
- 2:15:55
they don't eat meat no they don't orcas do great killer killer killer whales
- 2:16:03
blue whales spur whales all whales are plankton and squid eat means not digest
- 2:16:10
they don't have i don't think they have teeth [ __ ] if you're well you could just open
- 2:16:16
your mouth up yeah and a human should be in you ain't got to bite them yeah i don't have to bite swallow nothing now
- 2:16:22
you just live there yeah and you're not six six to them
- 2:16:28
don't worry about none of that you are a plankton yeah
- 2:16:36
what else do we have anything oh uh i'm the friend of the show people don't they don't text back no more they'll [ __ ] with us
- 2:16:42
that's crazy hey it's cool with me nah read another one maybe send us some
- 2:16:48
good ass questions yeah i don't want to talk yeah that was a good question well no i'm gonna read it anyway because me and ish were about to
- 2:16:53
argue about it hey joe and this is from mr robinson yo yo yo you got action you got action just
- 2:17:00
finished getting the cut so they can answer the phone get your alcohol [ __ ]
- 2:17:05
[ __ ] out of here let me read it before i call hot green hey joe and crew quick question let's say you are the side dude
- 2:17:11
how do you console the woman that you're after uh uh when she broke up with her man i
- 2:17:17
only asked because said girl said it was selfish uh of me to not care about that situation
- 2:17:22
how do you cons oh so your side you are the size oh you're the side you're a
- 2:17:27
girl and they broke up your girl broke up with her main dude how do you console her
- 2:17:33
oh i think that this guy is young and inexperienced yeah consular with some penis
- 2:17:40
now ish you say you agreed that that was selfish i do explain that thinking to me because i
- 2:17:45
didn't understand it especially for me oh man this is horrible i feel like i don't know where he bout
- 2:17:51
to go i don't think i all right as once upon a time
- 2:17:57
being i hate when you start talking like little red robin yeah what the [ __ ] is going on yo
- 2:18:05
yo where's the little fairy yo fam come on man oh it listen um in my former lives
- 2:18:13
i was a professional side dude so
- 2:18:18
no no don't put my drop with that sorry when you are a side dude and this is gonna be it's gonna come around to be serious
- 2:18:25
when you're a side dude i wish you just said this in hour one often no oftentimes
- 2:18:30
you uh you got a better relationship with the chick than her dude that's true you know what i'm saying
- 2:18:36
like [ __ ] fall in love with a side girl or with the side dude right so you have a better relationship friendship
- 2:18:42
especially with this with the side so you there for the consultant you there for all the consultations you're
- 2:18:49
there for the advice you there for all that [ __ ] that [ __ ] just been her man for 15 years
- 2:18:54
she ain't in love with him she'd be really in love with the side dude i ain't gonna hold you you are sound like a dirty mac [ __ ] but that's the truth
- 2:19:02
shaking their head yes no i am not though so me and you will spar on this
- 2:19:08
shaking your head ice ice core everybody ain't shaking their heads yeah but they ain't a lot of
- 2:19:13
voices so and this is a podcast if somebody agrees with it i stand up i stand on what i stand
- 2:19:19
so what i'm saying is a lot of times you have a better you got a better relationship as the
- 2:19:26
side dude than the real boyfriend does sometimes so your job is really dirty friendship
- 2:19:34
no no no friendship like literally friendship they call you when they got a problem they call you for advice so when you
- 2:19:41
break up and the chick is now destroyed or she's emotional your friendship now kicks in and you are
- 2:19:48
supposed to be the consultant you are a sick [ __ ] you are sick in the head do you hear yourself and you trying to spit this [ __ ] like
- 2:19:54
it's normal it is not dog i'm am i you agree with me you disagree you're right yo
- 2:20:01
cory you disagree i'm telling you right you're not telling me
- 2:20:07
you're not telling me nothing we have two totally different styles of side duden
- 2:20:13
and i'm not saying you wrong because that is a specific style of side duty but on the other side of that fence
- 2:20:20
the professional side dude for me is that because your relationship is
- 2:20:26
your relationship what you do with that person what goes on over there you do not bring it over
- 2:20:32
here and it is my job my duty to you to not involve myself in any of it no no no
- 2:20:38
if you come over here and you just having a bad day or you are going through something i'm certain that there
- 2:20:45
is a way to console you that is not from the ilk of speaking
- 2:20:51
about your relationship advising you uh saying anything about the other person that ain't sideways
- 2:21:00
i said you ain't gotta kick dirt on the [ __ ] especially that's goof i'm talking about when she breaks up with the dude
- 2:21:07
and she is emotionally damn i'm over here for the vibes this is dick private
- 2:21:12
restaurants bowling movies like we are a vibe that's what side time is yeah don't
- 2:21:19
come over here with all that baggage from your [ __ ] toxic ass relationship i'm not here to cater the feelings to
- 2:21:25
create that vibe you do what you talk a multitude of things you talk
- 2:21:31
and the talking leads to emotional connection no okay no see i got to be a robot wait
- 2:21:37
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait see and that's where we just differ i call that an unprofessional side dude
- 2:21:43
that is an unprofessional side dude if you're sitting there playing the emotion game with your side that's not your girl
- 2:21:50
it's not it's not playing that is not your girlfriend yo that's my friend sometimes he's inside dude you do become
- 2:21:56
a little bit of a therapist of course you do stop of course you don't stop stop stop then you side dude and wrong
- 2:22:02
well maybe i'm not and you said i don't claim to be no professional you side dude and wrong cause you go ahead and play around as a professional side dude
- 2:22:09
it's not your job to try to make that girl uh or incentivize her to leave her relationship you're not gonna understand
- 2:22:15
that i want you to stay what the [ __ ] stay here no you don't yes i do you're really doing that i'm talking
- 2:22:26
the girl has already broken up with the dude and she is destroyed i'm not making
- 2:22:31
her break up with the dude she's broken up without your knowledge she was cheating
- 2:22:37
so yeah call roscoe man mr robinson
- 2:22:42
roscoe mr robinson cool
- 2:22:48
mr robinson
- 2:22:58
mr robinson this is the joe budden podcast
- 2:23:05
tell we just read your question and now we're fighting about it here can
- 2:23:10
you give us a little more detail as to what's going on
- 2:23:26
we can't hear you and this is a professional broadcast so i will give you a few seconds to get it together
- 2:23:32
hello hello all right yeah no i have my air pods in so it's much better
- 2:23:39
what's happening so um there's a girl that i've been uh messing around with for a few years now
- 2:23:46
she recently just uh broke up with her side with her um with her dude
- 2:23:51
so right now she's going through it but expecting me to kind of
- 2:23:58
go through it with it and your stance is what
- 2:24:05
that it's not really for me to care because if i if we were messing around
- 2:24:11
i kind of see it as well all right there you go good ready
- 2:24:16
see there we go we different there because me as the side dude i don't want
- 2:24:21
him to be good riddance i want him to stay right where he is
- 2:24:28
i want to play robin he can be batman i want to be robbie i think for me your ideologies conflict because if you want
- 2:24:34
the dude to stay there then all of the caring about all the emotions talking on the phone being there once you get off
- 2:24:40
of work the good morning all of that [ __ ] you're doing a lot that ain't side dude time for me but you
- 2:24:46
wanted them cape cup cakey [ __ ] well we all like to bake you we all like the bakery not as a side
- 2:24:53
dude see that's where you go no stop stop wait don't do that don't pay me away i love the bakery i own the [ __ ] nobody
- 2:25:01
cupcakes like joe park except for you but i'm talking about when it comes to side dude time no i'm a bagel you could
- 2:25:08
call me what you want to call me joe that's not chocolate clay then what is reserved for your
- 2:25:14
relationship when you are a side dude you are friends
- 2:25:21
you don't necessarily got to be in love with your girl you're just even there specifically
- 2:25:28
even that side dude privilege all side dudes are not her friend sometimes it's not true no that's true
- 2:25:34
you're right i'm agreeing with that i just think stylistically this is how you go about it okay all right but i totally
- 2:25:40
i'm i'm with you you're mr robinson i'm with him so mr robinson out of here hold up mr robinson you have
- 2:25:47
been in a relationship with this lady you said for a couple of years how many years he said i think he said three yeah
- 2:25:52
three years right we were we were restaurants for about
- 2:25:59
three to four years three to four years you have zero emotional attachment to this person
- 2:26:04
i'm like um no no i obviously do cool i'm trying to cool cool wait wait wait wait i'm sorry
- 2:26:09
now you want me to control with her while her dude broke up with it i'm looking at it as hey if you were
- 2:26:14
treating him like trash by [ __ ] around his behind his back what's the point of us being here trying to cry
- 2:26:21
together i'm with him clearly she wasn't even managing the side dude [ __ ] right i don't know why
- 2:26:28
they broke up but if this went on for a few years and now dude is out of here come on man
- 2:26:35
come on what does to let you know even her dude was kind
- 2:26:40
of barely taking care of her i was more looking out for it in a sense so i was always so it has me wondering
- 2:26:47
like why would i care like she wants me to she's telling me that
- 2:26:52
oh i have no soul cause she's feeling down and i'm not like well that's your
- 2:26:58
[ __ ] it's not the side dude job to have a soul because me me and not having a soul
- 2:27:03
the last three years did you a lot of justice because if i had one and i really had feelings i could have been doing a whole lot more i've been playing
- 2:27:09
my position now you your cards have rearranged don't come bring that [ __ ] over here i don't know hell no i'm with
- 2:27:17
you mr robinson thanks well now i'm not you got to be ready to play
- 2:27:23
the game because you might lose her and you sound like you like her i always had mad
- 2:27:28
[ __ ] and i like to be honest i kind of like like i could afford to let the little
- 2:27:34
joker go i like i like the side dude because it's it's not too much like i'm on my way to
- 2:27:40
montreal right now to go play around with a few things you know
- 2:27:46
[Music] mr robinson
- 2:27:52
mr robinson yeah you you pay to play say that again do you pay to play you're
- 2:27:58
going to montreal of course with her with anybody yeah yeah with her
- 2:28:05
anybody i would no i don't i don't mind taking out a woman to eat or anything if you mean by that no no no no no no no no
- 2:28:11
no no no no no no he said he wants to know if you buy people in the other way um traveling wise
- 2:28:16
sometimes sometimes no this particular lady you said you were looking out for her more than her her last dude so when
- 2:28:22
you start looking out where you paying some bills
- 2:28:32
because you guys have built up a certain level of friendship so i'm here to care about her yeah so as a friend when you
- 2:28:39
see your friend in need or you see oh [ __ ] sorry sorry sorry that was a mistake
- 2:28:45
my bad so when you when you see your friend now suffering or struggling they're going through whatever they're going through the friendship piece
- 2:28:52
should now step in and console her regardless of what caused the grief as a
- 2:28:57
friend you should want to be there for your friend i think that may be her stance
- 2:29:03
yes i agree with the friendship part but i don't agree about me having to care about you going through with your man
- 2:29:09
while we're oh yeah but we're messing around behind his back at the end of the day
- 2:29:15
so why he's there why should i have a feeling about now you guys broke up
- 2:29:20
yeah they haven't been talking for a while for a couple months they they literally
- 2:29:26
separated from home she gave her one kid she kept the other
- 2:29:31
so they were on the customs i kind of separated she had her own place he had his own
- 2:29:36
place he'll drop off one kid she'll give him the other i mean that's that's my stance
- 2:29:42
she said to me what she was telling me he's out of the door true
- 2:29:48
so be that cool but again that'll still don't mean that she don't have some emotional ties to the situation and if
- 2:29:54
she's just feeling down about the situation my opinion is as a friend regardless of why your friend is sad
- 2:30:01
you're supposed to console them that's my opinion
- 2:30:17
everything i mean this person has i don't want to put the business out there like that but this person is literally
- 2:30:23
probably ah it's too deep because like abuse don't do it don't do it no no
- 2:30:29
mr robinson but listen to that though but let me try to speak for you because i've been in this exact spot before
- 2:30:35
what i'm getting from what you're saying is i have showed up for three years
- 2:30:42
for you yeah liking you like wanting to be close to
- 2:30:48
you and kind of wanting that to falter a little bit yes
- 2:30:53
none of that occurred now y'all broke up organically and though you need me to be there as a
- 2:30:59
friend for you when i am your friend i have to show up for me first it sounds like if he it sounds
- 2:31:05
like he got too much going on with him to show up as a friend now in this moment for her while she's going through
- 2:31:11
that side dude rules are still in effect for him because he's protected there he's insulated there you hear him
- 2:31:17
do you really like her or no be honest do you really like her now no no i i mean like i really do in the beginning
- 2:31:25
i really liked it but then she kind of like kept letting it be known this is just like
- 2:31:30
you know we just doing this wrong he protected after a while i grew to accept the role and
- 2:31:35
dig it because i was like you know what the less the responsibility i don't have to deal with now
- 2:31:46
no i'm that changes things now you're using me yeah you know or miss you it sounds like we used to no
- 2:31:53
you you were using each other but now you misusing me yeah i didn't agree to show up to be used this way
- 2:31:59
you're changing the rules no no it sucks because that's why i hate watching this show because you guys
- 2:32:05
really alter my mind sometimes i'm like i have to rethink like how i go about
- 2:32:11
things like even in the relationship with my hold on because you guys are kind of saying the things that my mind is thinking sometimes you know yo mr
- 2:32:18
robinson you know yo just stay stand firm in your divinity no when she get that tickle and she'll
- 2:32:23
do that little thing in your divinity yo when she do that little thing they're out there in montreal
- 2:32:29
montreal's a blast i'm going out there for a week oh come on hey go shake your ass
- 2:32:35
go shake a tail feather out there mr robinson i hope we were able to help you yeah i love you guys man thanks thank
- 2:32:42
you we love you too mr robinson peace
- 2:32:51
hey where are we at on time 2 51.
- 2:32:56
good so i'll say it at the end of the part when our audience is the smallest
- 2:33:04
we come in here every week and try to figure out why
- 2:33:09
people pander right
- 2:33:14
you got me nervous
- 2:33:21
and a lot does come from the gays and i think that that part
- 2:33:28
often is overlooked we start talking about uh some of the gay people that are in positions of power but the truth of
- 2:33:34
the matter is a lot of the style and a lot of other things
- 2:33:40
come from that so when you talk about audiences that are just bulletproof or immune to
- 2:33:47
certain things a lot of them have a large demo with the lgbtq plus
- 2:33:55
community and all of you here on the edge of your seat seeing that's the look
- 2:34:02
[Laughter]
- 2:34:14
you can't say nothing serious in this park no no don't worry about it i'm outta here i'm leaving i'm listening
- 2:34:24
y'all hope you all enjoyed this pod i hope we didn't say anything to get ourselves cancelled or get any of you
- 2:34:29
guys rowed up out there i'm sure we did of course keep us in your prayers lord knows we need to be there until the next
- 2:34:36
time let's dance [Music] [Laughter]
- 2:34:42
i'm the only [ __ ] they wouldn't allow to pander
- 2:34:47
all right we are out of here y'all hold it down keep us in your prayers lord knows we need to be there
- 2:34:53
until the next time we bid you with do farewell adios ariva derci hasta la vista arvoir so long
- 2:35:00
goodbye head on a swivel be safe be careful learn how to swim stay out of the water
- 2:35:06
if there's not a lifeguard around oh no floaties i hope you guys have a really enjoyable summer start of the
- 2:35:12
summer is officially here [Laughter] [Music]
- 2:35:29
you
