network owner porn star bmx racer something he's doing something

  • 1:15

with bikes now motorbiker it's gonna monetize you bike [ __ ] adam i call it a lot of slack flack

  • 1:22

whatever the word is black both both can we both see look at you trying to be smart um

  • 1:28

because i went on your platform and they say i didn't talk

  • 1:40

dry didn't answer anything answered questions with questions oh that's just

  • 1:46

joking joe right yeah you guys are all traumatized you've been through it yeah

  • 1:51

yeah probably say that they say i gave you a bad interview did you think our interview

  • 1:56

was bad when i left no i thought it was fun i had a good time and i also thought it was like kind of an interesting joe

  • 2:03

budden arc that it's like you were going through this whole thing with the other guys and then all of a sudden there's

  • 2:09

this this one appearance on my podcast in which you were like yeah it's fine because you had this little island of it

  • 2:15

seeming like it was okay there and that's when that podcast occurred so i found it to be kind of like a charming

  • 2:22

side novel no i don't know no one else thought they got mad like batman like series

  • 2:28

i feel like that was like a cool one-off he went to l.a hung out with this white guy i thought it was cool one but two

  • 2:36

yeah i try not to say too much on you [ __ ] podcast but i don't expect anything else from you

  • 2:41

because i know it's kind of part of your character you're you're difficult i'm not

  • 2:47

    well i don't think i am

  • 2:55

if you think i'm difficult i don't want you around well well if some of you are there

  • 3:01

well that's not fair am i difficult with you parks uh difficult nobody's getting fired

  • 3:08

no one's getting fired difficult think about it don't run with narratives let's have an honest talk

  • 3:13

with adam he's a guest here he's in town for a few days the narratives are fun yes i think so too but sometimes

  • 3:20

hey a joke you're difficult on other people's platforms with me personally

  • 3:25

not particularly difficult antoine i know you like to kick my back in but

  • 3:32

am i difficult with you i'm done with these [ __ ] yeah you gotta ask somebody else i spam me ice am

  • 3:40

i difficult with you with me no you're not difficult why it's so tough for y'all to tell the fans the truth about me personally how difficult is he right

  • 3:46

now compared to like seven years ago way less difficult yeah way less as a listener i would agree yeah

  • 3:53

i used to really feel for those other guys sometimes why way back in the day why just just be difficult

  • 3:59

but difficult can be [ __ ] difficult is the right word a lot of video games are difficult getting some [ __ ] difficulties ain't

  • 4:05

fun either the video games that's difficult well i do hear that a lot so you think that though whatever difficulties you saw came across on

  • 4:12

screen yeah you you were being difficult you weren't just letting it all hang out you

  • 4:18

    know i think it's a different word i don't like that i don't like that word you weren't just

  • 4:23

spreading it but we'll come back to it adam i what i don't go on you other podcasters and networks platform

  • 4:32

to just spill it all out like men do like now podcasts have turned into like where men go to gossip why i said it

  • 4:39

yes or snitch flies flies you podcasting uh on other [ __ ]

  • 4:45

networks for free i don't want to hear about that [ __ ] podcasting for instagram for

  • 4:50

nothing like do something but y'all have made like this culture of

  • 4:56

monetizing off clickbait do you acknowledge that to be true

  • 5:01

monetizing off clickbait aka asking people questions that the fans actually want to hear about enough to the extent

  • 5:08

that they will click on those videos in mass yeah you just answer questions yes yes yeah i mean if that's and you just

  • 5:13

answer the question like if i'm sitting down when i interviewed andrew schultz and i sent you the clip i said i oh no

  • 5:18

the game and i said i tried because i asked him about what's up with that dish son that you did about joe it never came

  • 5:24

out i heard joe talk about it on his podcast i kind of laid it out for him you asked every guest about joe buddy he didn't really take the bait too hard you

  • 5:30

know you could tell he didn't really want to like spark a hole into the anti-joe budding thing but i thought it was fair because i'm a fan and i'm a

  • 5:37

listener i would click on that clip because i want to know how that saga unfolded because i remember he had a

  • 5:42

little some joe budden bars i'm a rap fan at a bar about every rapper or

  • 5:47

singer in existence but somehow that's fair my name was the one that you would use to try to bait and you do that often

  • 5:54

but because you came on here and did a [ __ ] half hour sermon in response to the instagram clip that leaked that was

  • 6:00

him talking about your ex or whatever that was three years ago yeah i know and i was still interested

  • 6:06

but you do that with quite a few people and myself i don't know another name

  • 6:12

that you mentioned as freely as mine with your guests what do you say you would say your top five

  • 6:19

hip-hop personalities right no i would not and i'm not five i'm one okay i'm number one well it is this

  • 6:26

is not even a close number two okay if there's nothing don't step over that there's not even a

  • 6:31

close number two so i do understand why it happens but i'd be confused because

  • 6:37

you you're up already right your network is your network it's not like you're building a platform you've built it it's

  • 6:42

not like i'm asking them some [ __ ] that i'm not interested in i'm asking them [ __ ] because you're someone that to some extent i

  • 6:48

consider a friend a contemporary a peer in this workplace right the space of course i want to know about the

  • 6:55

intersection of you know artists and podcasters it's interesting of course and i i my retort to that is but you're

  • 7:02

a student of this this is true so it's not just me that you're watching you are aware of everything and everybody i know

  • 7:09

that to be true about you so when you're conducting these interviews why wouldn't the same apply for your

  • 7:14

other contemporaries about anyone oh but y'all familiar with this guy other rappers i asked the game about on that

  • 7:21

piece of card number one you just answered this question number one yeah not just that i get it from a business perspective

  • 7:27

    if you're generating 300 million clicks a week you're [ __ ] right i'ma

  • 7:32

generate money off of you if if the opportunity if the game had a lyric where you said oh academics is a

  • 7:38

    piece of [ __ ] i'ma say hey game why'd you say academics a piece of [ __ ] but that's another name yeah there's

  • 7:43

another another person that i assume the audience is interested in and people do you think you would be able to do what

  • 7:49

you do without that without without the names i feel like without the caddies i have a duty to my

  • 7:55

audience to entertain them and i want to give them the best most entertaining content i can and in a lot of cases i

  • 8:00

feel like in many cases i want to tell the whole story of your life i want to talk about what high school was like like what it

  • 8:06

was like before we became a rapper what it was like when you were in prison et cetera tell this whole [ __ ] story but then also once i've got you softened up i

  • 8:13

would also like to ask about every rapper that you have ever had beef with in your entire life because i assume the

  • 8:19

fans want to hear about that [ __ ] i want to hear a lot of times it's like you know it's not like it's just it's not k-fit and certain certainly

  • 8:25

james is going to register higher on the clicks yeah but why i get that well he won't say that about mine is that true

  • 8:31

about mine that do you see some type of uptick we could search joe button no jumper i'm sure we could find a bunch of clips

  • 8:37

where i asked people about you that did fairly well i'm not it's not like you know nobody is a guarantee i don't

  • 8:42

care about the result i'm talking about the motive in it right i'm not trying to create an anti-joke but a narrative i'm

  • 8:48

just you know trying to this is like we're in the marvel universe and we want to know what spider-man thinks of this [ __ ]

  • 8:54

i think we're joking i think what joe was saying is like you know that asking these people about his name is going to

  • 9:00

generate a certain number of something regardless generates something more more than more than more than a nori average more than a

  • 9:06

hack more than an elliott more than a tax more than a more than a you notice don't

  • 9:14

play dumb over here you're so excited to be near the top or at the top of this hierarchy i'm more interested in nori

  • 9:21

i mean okay maybe but i mean don't put words in my mouth if game had said hey nora you're a [ __ ] i would have said

  • 9:27

hey game why'd you say noise don't put words in my mouth there was nothing about what i said that exuded excitement

  • 9:32

i'm speaking facts and i'm only asking you about facts the

  • 9:37

fact is i am number one and have been number one for a little while i think we gotta wonder if academics is number one

  • 9:42

though i feel like he's probably number one if anybody's gonna be number one no one would cheer for him harder if

  • 9:47

that was true i'm a huge act fan that's mine i want i want everybody to

  • 9:53

that's what i don't get about when there's like this like kind of pod friction intention and competition it's

  • 10:00

like the truth of it is i really want everybody to win and if we get out of

  • 10:06

this kind of adversarial train of thought then you realize nobody is really in

  • 10:11

competition with everybody we're just all doing the same thing but what about all the bitch-ass podcasters that we don't like

  • 10:17

i don't have one of those you don't look at like certain people and you're like wow i hope you don't do well in this

  • 10:22

game because you're a [ __ ] nerd and i think you're in it for the wrong reasons and i don't like your content no no

  • 10:27

there's not a podcaster or content creator out there that i've looked at and felt that way about because i get information from everybody that does

  • 10:33

well question for you what are the wrong reasons money status

  • 10:39

not really loving the craft clicks clicks you know clicks

  • 10:46

depending on who you are that's not the wrong reason i mean i'm not mad at nobody's definition that's because that's the

  • 10:51

definition of opening any business for the most part but it's the same conversation we've been having about rappers forever where it's like you

  • 10:57

could do the respectable content that your peers are going to love or you can make some songs for the radio as well i

  • 11:02

mean i understand if somebody wants to just get a bag how can i really hate on you but at the same time you kind of devaluate that devaluing the art form

  • 11:09

that i believe that i was relatively early on that you were early on that we all think we all believe in podcasting

  • 11:15

yes but most of you guys did click baity [ __ ] to grow your network to where it is but my thing is i want to have like a

  • 11:22

really raw two-hour conversation and then yes we're gonna promote it by clipping a three-minute clip where we

  • 11:27

talked about some random beef or whatever but that's not really the heart of the content you know gotcha

  • 11:34

sometimes it's the heart it's a it's a an inlet for people just gives them a little off-ramp to

  • 11:41

see the full thing i also feel like uh this is why i can't hate anybody i also feel like everyone is needed

  • 11:48

everyone is doing different [ __ ] too i was talking to uh you're talking to somebody i'm not gonna say a name but they're like does joe how's joe feel

  • 11:55

about nori doing well in podcasting like they're completely different shows the joe budden podcast and drink champs are

  • 12:00

completely different shows yeah you barely even interview bass so that that immediately puts you in a different category where you're not really

  • 12:06

competing in the same well and i'm not assigned to anybody true that too okay but i wasn't even talking about the business about purely content so it's a

  • 12:13

different show yeah no because sometimes nora will get a guest and i'll be like [ __ ] i wish i got that guest or like oh like i got

  • 12:20

that guess six months ago i'm glad i got them before who didn't who who give me some of the guests that you saw was like

  • 12:25

[ __ ] why wasn't he here well i mean i really like my game interview but he did a game interview like a month before mine so you know obviously that's kind

  • 12:31

of like i wish i got that first you know but uh it's not like real jealousy i'm just you know

  • 12:37

do i feel like i'm competing with somebody like nori i mean yeah a little bit we're all competing for the overlapping fans but it's not like i

  • 12:44

have any kind of animosity who are we competing for what fans

  • 12:49

overlapping well if there's two game interviews there's then the game then the fan is watching they're going to

  • 12:54

watch and they're watching what if you're not get like i'm i'm a sort of game fan but i'm not going to watch both yours and noises yeah exactly

  • 13:00

what i'm saying like if i saw nori's i've probably seen yeah he's good but if i watch that

  • 13:07

i might not watch nori's like i'm a fan of the show and i know that i know the style of your interview and i know people that don't necessarily

  • 13:13

like norway that's changing the the fandom from game to m22 that's true but they both have to

  • 13:20

exist like when he gets gets the second game interview i want to catch all the game fans which games should cover but i want

  • 13:26

to catch the people that are fans of how i do this you know that's right so you want to catch them both so you're not in competition though yeah well

  • 13:33

that's what i'm saying this stuff adam is needed right for so long for so long people were like yo

  • 13:40

new york controls all media we need we need platforms on the west coast and in the other parts of the

  • 13:47

world that represent some of our southern act we got facts now we got youtube we got like say cheese we got

  • 13:54

[ __ ] that's coming up and i love it because hey let me learn about this west coast [ __ ] that i didn't know nothing

  • 13:59

about i wouldn't talk to these [ __ ] they're not coming over here hey these southern [ __ ] are going over the facts they spit freestyles they giving it up

  • 14:06

like we need everybody ack is going to talk to all the young [ __ ] that i never want to talk to like everybody has

  • 14:13

a role in the ecosystem for sure where are you from originally nashville new hampshire

  • 14:18

okay so you're east coast too yeah you're in l.a right like 45 minutes outside of boston gotcha when's your

  • 14:24

mood out how it was i moved to astoria in uh 2004. when i was 21 20 years old

  • 14:32

something like that how do you know 38 so i stayed in new york in bushwick and astoria for like seven eight years and

  • 14:38

then i've been in uh long beach in la and the valley from like 2010 on

  • 14:45

it's a long time out there yeah so 12 years so so how do you how did you love it out there give me your story

  • 14:51

from the start of la to where you at now well first i'm going to admit that the weather to me is a massive factor in

  • 14:58

terms of like my own contentment i just i don't want to be around snow so that was a huge factor at the time i

  • 15:04

moved it was basically because the bmx industry is in california as opposed to like almost non-existent in new york so

  • 15:10

that's a big part of why i moved out the time because that was my business at the time and uh then so in 2010 you were

  • 15:16

into the bikes 2006 i started this bmx blog because i was super influenced by all the early

  • 15:22

hip hop blogs and i was a bmx rider obsessed with bmx videos and magazines my whole life i saw now right and two

  • 15:29

dope boys i said oh my god i'm gonna do that but about the bike [ __ ] boom like within a year it was like huge and it

  • 15:35

basically became like the biggest platform in space up to come up and i kept grinding the name of that the

  • 15:42

that until at a certain point i'm starting to get bored i'm like i'm gonna start doing podcasts with all these bmx

  • 15:47

riders and company owners and pros whatever i start doing that i did like a hundred episodes and then along the way

  • 15:54

i was i was living in downtown l.a i'm kind of like right at the epicenter of a lot of the underground soundcloud rap

  • 16:00

[ __ ] that was going on like all like playboy cardi stopping by the bike shop you know ski master slump got all these

  • 16:06

guys were like kind of around and [ __ ] and so then that's how i kind of started to get some of those interviews and

  • 16:12

stuff even though myself i've pretty much been listening to primarily rap since i was like nine years old but i

  • 16:17

was always just a fan i never really felt like i had any kind of right like when i was looking at now right and all that in like 2005 i'm like this is

  • 16:23

amazing maybe i should start my own hip hop blog and then i'm like eh i don't really think i have anything to offer

  • 16:28

aside from just being a fan it's not like now with youtube where anybody is just like hey i'm a [ __ ] hip-hop

  • 16:33

youtuber now you know i didn't have that confidence it took me like a long time to really be like okay i feel like i

  • 16:39

could actually deserve to interview a rapper you know so i kind of got my feet wet with that and then started using

  • 16:44

those connections to start interviewing you know more adult rappers legacy rappers street rappers whatever like

  • 16:50

more and as you're doing that more what's happening with the come up it just kind of stagnated at a certain

  • 16:56

point like the blog thing overall started to really fade by like 2014 or

  • 17:01

whatever and the business part of it wasn't really that great and i really lost passion for it so it's kind of been

  • 17:06

on a hiatus but like that's part of what we're doing out here where i got my bmx team is that we're kind of don't fast forward

  • 17:12

you abandoned the bikers because i still had the bike shop up until the pandemic all right but now

  • 17:18

there's a newfound uh newfound groove with some of these younger rappers that are coming by to

  • 17:25

give me dope interviews hey i can make a quick pivot here oh uh yeah well for me i was doing both

  • 17:32

at the same time be inclusive i had people just run in the bmx side of things for me yeah but it started to

  • 17:37

like occur to me because when you're in that bmx space it's like it's a small world and almost nobody ever gets to

  • 17:42

like pop their head out above ground you know like every once in a blue moon you'll see some viral [ __ ] involving the

  • 17:49

bike riding [ __ ] whatever but it's very rare all of a sudden i started interviewing underground rappers who are doing like 10 times as many views and

  • 17:55

all of a sudden i'm starting to feel like oh i'm actually in the game oh i actually had a conversation with

  • 18:00

academics or i i had a conversation with vlad all these people that i was like watching their content and i'm starting

  • 18:05

to actually get in the game and that to me was like and then all of a sudden my life became posted up in the shop

  • 18:12

all day different rappers are coming in different brands different chicks whatever all of a sudden i'm just meeting like non-stop people and it just

  • 18:19

really kind of like all of a sudden i'm doing three or four interviews a day and what year is this 2017 was whenever were

  • 18:25

you were you a fan of the people that you were bringing in because you said you've been listening to rap since you were nice a lot of times but i also

  • 18:31

consider it like an important thing that i could be able to interview somebody who i don't really give a [ __ ] about their music and still be able to like

  • 18:36

honor and respect their work and everything like that and be able to tell the story in an interesting way you know

  • 18:42

yeah when was that that uh uh we were trying to hire you what year was that 2018

  • 18:48

probably 28 state of the culture featuring adam 22 what an insane reality that that was

  • 18:54

almost a simulation that was ran never never would have worked i fought

  • 18:59

for that behind the scenes you said it wouldn't have worked no i was going to move here it would have just been a disaster hopping on the plane to come

  • 19:06

out here every [ __ ] week or so you're gonna have to move out here you didn't have to move out here i just don't think i'm really ready to do anything besides

  • 19:12

just focusing on my own business and even then it was probably even more true no i could see in 2018 you thinking

  • 19:19

about that move oh i thought about it the visibility the associations the affiliations i could see you and and

  • 19:26

still the same thing you did with your art come up i could see you still want to run your company and leverage this so

  • 19:32

what act did i mean it was very it's not an off off move it took a lot of thought at the time but ultimately i was like

  • 19:38

yeah it's just not gonna work but you're also like larger than life to me at the time like the idea of saying no to you was like

  • 19:44

kind of crazy how do home revolt huh she wasn't saying no to me i don't own revolt no but i mean

  • 19:50

just when i went to that penthouse hotel of yours and we smoked cigarettes on the

  • 19:55

balcony and talked about this idea and you gave me game and led me in the right direction i'm almost like a mentor

  • 20:03

    [Laughter]

  • 20:17

like a mentor to him i'm like [ __ ] should i have been asking all these people to mentor me over these years well you could see how charlemagne would

  • 20:23

but sometimes [ __ ] would you be mentored people be a mentor but without acknowledging it yeah you're just

  • 20:29

mentoring become friends with them and text them and talk to you yeah go out and have a drink

  • 20:34

so nobody put you under the wing and just tried to help you advance not really

  • 20:40

this entire time not really but i'm not that kind of person anyway like i [ __ ] meet

  • 20:45

rappers i do content with them and we could stay in touch a little bit but i'm not like a groupie who's going to be trying to pull up to the studio i see

  • 20:52

how a lot of these people in la are cool because they [ __ ] are dick riders who just will pull up to the studio on a

  • 20:58

moment's notice to just sit around with some rapper happy to be here who's barely giving you the [ __ ] time of day because you're just a dick writer i

  • 21:05

    i did i did that [ __ ] early on for sure and i don't you know i just i'm happy as [ __ ] i don't have to do that anymore

  • 21:11

because that [ __ ] is just that sounds disgusting yeah it's awful all right so 2017 we're getting in our groove

  • 21:17

2018 you're telling me and puff the [ __ ] off when does this see it was puff

  • 21:24

when uh when do you start to see an uptick in in what you're doing

  • 21:30

2020 the pandemic hits we had just moved into a [ __ ] new space we had just decided to get rid of

  • 21:37

the store coincidentally like immediately before the pandemic hit and that's around the time that we brought in my guy a.d from compton and all of a

  • 21:44

sudden he brought a lot of new energy to the space realistically and he didn't have [ __ ] to do because it's a pandemic all

  • 21:51

of a sudden he's not going on the club or touring or do whatever the [ __ ] else he was doing and then he starts bringing

  • 21:56

more people around all of a sudden we started to hit more of like a crew dynamic amongst the the team and

  • 22:04

everything and that's when i felt like it really started to take steps for it to start to feel like oh this is a bunch of guys who have a

  • 22:10

real actual friendship and they're talking about everything that's going on because to be real when i started my weekly podcast on the no jumper show

  • 22:16

every tuesday at 6 00 p.m it was 100 like i see what joe budden is doing and i want that i want to not have to always

  • 22:23

worry about getting guests i want to be able to just have some friends that were consistently

  • 22:28

building rapport oh yeah it's definitely tough and it a lot comes with it but have you lost

  • 22:33

anybody along the way oh of course yeah tell us about it random stuff

  • 22:38

no no that's not what adam would do to joe button if i were on the no jumper

  • 22:44

platform right this second come on give me something nah but i can't think of anybody that you would even [ __ ] i don't want to know him i just want to

  • 22:50

hear about you dealing with loss as you're growing your company in terms of like employees that i

  • 22:56

eventually like had to let go i mean i mean everybody all your friends from early on you're gonna have to [ __ ]

  • 23:02

and not all but it's like it's very difficult so you do understand it's very difficult for people to grow with you

  • 23:08

and just accept that this benefits you to an extent that it doesn't benefit them even if it is

  • 23:15

benefiting them as well well how do you deal with that

  • 23:21

i mean sometimes you just gotta keep a push cut off the [ __ ] and just be like all right if that's how you feel

  • 23:26

then i'm not [ __ ] with you anymore and what are you gonna do or

  • 23:31

you know so in your case did it affect your personal relationship as well as the business for sure i lost counsel countless friends that i just tried to

  • 23:38

hire and i thought that they were going to be able to you know be part of it and then at a certain point that you know

  • 23:43

it's almost like i wish like [ __ ] i wish i had never hired any of my friends but then i'm sure that that would have

  • 23:48

negatively impacted my friendships as well why are you hiring this guy off craigslist that you never you know like

  • 23:53

you could hire me to do this job i'm sure it would have ultimately negatively impacted a lot of [ __ ] regardless if i

  • 23:59

had just fully not [ __ ] with friends but i mean that's a huge decision when you get into

  • 24:04

business and you don't realize this huge decision until it's too late so it's all a rather recent thing to

  • 24:10

upswing the uptick in how you decided to grow your [ __ ] when did porn come into play um

  • 24:16

early pandemic again like me and my girl have been going pandemic game and you just threw it all at the at the wall

  • 24:22

i just used that as like a time when things started to unfold not me and my girl had talked about doing a podcast or

  • 24:28

doing some kind of like premium sexual we were talking to some company they wanted to do it with us they're going to

  • 24:34

take 30 40 whatever at a certain point i'm like we don't need them let's just do it ourselves we'll put it on only

  • 24:39

fans the idea is that we interview a different girl every week and then we have sex with her on camera all kind of

  • 24:45

cohesive thing this sounds cohesive only plug talk sounds like five dollars a month if you

  • 24:50

want to check out our catalog uh and uh yeah we just you got a catalog

  • 24:55

    [ __ ] i think we got like 40 episodes out or some [ __ ] about [ __ ] a

  • 25:01

that's a lot of [ __ ] he's doing 52 weeks in a year i've had weeks where are you at the only club

  • 25:07

onlyclub.com i'm with that a couple days only club talking i might have to go check and see what's going on i think it might be like the white safari i'm

  • 25:13

having a good time man he got a thing

  • 25:29

he got a thing on him [Music] [Applause]

  • 25:37

so at this point now it's pandemic time we got our biker [ __ ] in the tuck even if it's not all the way

  • 25:43

up and active it's in the top uh we've started our media our media uh

  • 25:48

journey and we're trying to expand that and we're having a conversation with our wife

  • 25:53

    we're throwing into the mix

  • 26:02

it's been a while she just went and looked at a wedding venue that she considered perfect the other day and they quoted us at a number

  • 26:08

that was impressive imperfect it was just shocking beyond

  • 26:14

anything i thought was possible well you asked me to [ __ ] this [ __ ] 40 times on camera

  • 26:19

she wasn't enthusiastic about it either she was equally upset oh about the venue yeah well just about the price was so

  • 26:25

mind-blowing but give it to what was the number oh six figures hi just the venue no not it was it was

  • 26:31

not 900 thousand dollars but it was 375. nine six figures it begins with one oh

  • 26:37

okay 175 one something dog i'm bad you better jump on it you if you got to give

  • 26:43

shalottie 40 for the day you better jump i think it's a weekend in l.a you better off

  • 26:50

now a weekend yeah four days yes you think 100 is normal

  • 26:58

adam it's also going to cost you you might want to figure roughly double that yeah exactly you know what i'm saying yeah

  • 27:06

and all the other [ __ ] that i'm married so that's what it was last year damn park spent a hundred grand on his

  • 27:11

wedding 200 grand look he's just he's staring at me he's not even letting on that he's kidding and he's not no he's

  • 27:17

just yeah no no his wedding was different yeah yeah and he's not in l.a though

  • 27:23

new york i went to illinois we had that conversation like oh so we could buy a we could put a down payment

  • 27:29

on another house or we could have a cool wedding dude that's a conversation that comes up that's [ __ ] up yeah that doesn't sound

  • 27:34

right but if you go somewhere outside you're not feeling that [ __ ] at all

  • 27:42

you can take a trip a couple hours away and get it done for probably yeah a quarter of the price are you frugal yes

  • 27:49

[ __ ] white boys quick too cheap as [ __ ] white boys are frugal by nature i don't even own a car ack was giving me

  • 27:55

[ __ ] about that on the show the other day but you got a bike i got a bike i almost wrote it here seeing what size of

  • 28:01

the space you would have probably been mattified to bring my bike in why don't you have a car no it would have been left outside

  • 28:06

stolen outside yeah exactly bring a u-lock so you don't have a car you lose something well i lease it but

  • 28:11

axe like apparently got like 10 cars parked in this [ __ ] garage i'm like stupid i'm like he's not stupid but

  • 28:17

that's his thing he's into it i wouldn't have ten cars parked in a lot i don't yeah well you gonna pay

  • 28:22

insurance on all of them yeah that's a lot that's a lot especially i don't see the logic if i had 10 cars i'll probably

  • 28:28

drive like one or two in a month right like i was gonna have a hard time what am i gonna take a different one on it i

  • 28:34

don't drive my one car a lot yeah i don't drive 2500 miles you've been rich for a long time not that long it's been a little while

  • 28:40

now you've been like on and off rich for a long time probably no no i assume no no the whole time

  • 28:46

no no no i just recently got rich last five years yeah

  • 28:53

yeah five years okay may not get audited how long have you been rich

  • 28:59

    in my mind like i didn't you're right don't bring your little [ __ ] media

  • 29:06

tricks up here what's wrong i didn't ask you about your mind get him ish come on since the pandemonium you see

  • 29:12

now we're getting there i don't even know what's the threshold no we asking what you would ask on your platform come on what's wrong with me i

  • 29:18

felt your taxes as soon as i owned a home could say i was a millionaire and didn't

  • 29:23

have to worry about money anymore that was then i felt like okay i'm rich now because i don't really i don't really want for much besides that

  • 29:30

now how do you navigate you being a millionaire and maybe not everyone on your team being a

  • 29:36

millionaire i mean the guy who starts the show is going to have to disproportionately

  • 29:41

benefit from it right i want them to live well i want to build the business to the extent where everybody can be comfortable and [ __ ]

  • 29:47

but at the end of the day this is how capitalism works the ceo the owner gets the benefit more because he's the one

  • 29:52

who took the risk if my whole thing sinks tomorrow the guys that i just came in with they get

  • 29:59

to go skedaddle and do whatever they want and i gotta [ __ ] deal with the repercussions right you think that's a issue that's an issue

  • 30:05

for you what like if you're a millionaire and nobody else on your team is

  • 30:14

at what point at what mark that's a good point how many millions so

  • 30:20

no it's like if somebody's when you and i had this talk i can't come in here with 200 million and y'all not be a

  • 30:27

millionaire yeah i can't come in with 100 million and y'all not be a millionaire and if i

  • 30:32

did i would expect to have a conversation with y'all that for me is uncomfortable at some point

  • 30:39

and that's what i was asking him not about capitalism it taught me what that word means now i was asking about the

  • 30:45

conversations or the awkward moment now

  • 30:50

or the team looking at you funny now or speaking to you in a way that they

  • 30:55

didn't used to speak to i'm asking for some of those things nothing really wrong with

  • 31:01

this mark hey i'm up i came up with this i created this is my ipm none wrong but how are you navigating that is what i'm

  • 31:08

asking and is it different for a white person than it is for a black person that's why i'm asking well i've never

  • 31:13

been black so i'm not sure but um well that's why i'm asking because i'll let him know

  • 31:18

    i haven't [ __ ] they'll [ __ ] with me a little bit give me a hard time about having you know whatever i got you know

  • 31:23

and we joke around about it but i mean at the end of the day i was building this business for like five years before

  • 31:30

any of the hosts who are on the channel right now really did their thing and you know i respect

  • 31:36

what they brought to the platform and everything but now give me your [ __ ] i built a huge

  • 31:41

amount of this business before anybody came around so the idea of anybody getting ownership or whatever i always

  • 31:46

if they want to have that conversation i'm perfectly happy to talk about anybody's compensation and if somebody feels like they're not being compensated

  • 31:52

fairly we could always have that conversation but at the end of the day in terms of equity i mean i just was building it for way too long beforehand

  • 31:59

for anybody to try to demand a piece of it and that they all get there or somebody has to just in my opinion i can't speak for you but just on a

  • 32:05

business side somebody has to bring a certain value so if when you walked in the door the company was worth 100

  • 32:11

million right yeah and now all of a sudden you've been here two years and we had a buck 40 a buck 50

  • 32:18

you bring a nice value so then you would be able to say yo look what's up

  • 32:23

if you don't do that i don't think equity because we hear joe we hear all these people now talking about equity

  • 32:29

equity equity it's like a buzzword yeah people don't understand what that entails they don't know what ownership

  • 32:36

really is like dog this [ __ ] just sounds 15 years to build this they sound good and because you kind of

  • 32:41

dope at what you do you think you can get a piece of what i'm doing you have to show me definitively how you

  • 32:47

think you earn a piece of that but i want to ask about that about that too the audience's understanding of

  • 32:54

podcasting what it is and how it's done versus yours the person who's trying to build his network expand his network

  • 33:00

hire people manage personalities like how does that go

  • 33:06

how is it having to balance all these different no no the difference in your understanding of what you have to do

  • 33:11

versus the people that you serve the audience i feel like i'm pretty open with people

  • 33:16

who like consistently watch the podcast i kind of feel like they know pretty much what i'm going through and what i'm

  • 33:22

dealing with and what the challenges are in terms of running this business so i mean i try to like that's content to me is just

  • 33:28

dealing with the reality now of course there's stuff that you deal with on the back end in terms of you know people trying to sue you and other [ __ ] that

  • 33:35

you don't want to publicize but i mean for the most part i pretty much just share the journey with

  • 33:40

everybody they ain't gonna get it they don't understand yeah they still understand you talking about

  • 33:46

yeah yeah like these people a lot of people never owned a thing yeah like never created a thing took it from

  • 33:52

thought to and that's why they don't know that that's what you know that's why they throw the equity word around they like i would never think i

  • 33:59

am entitled to equity in a joe button podcast right that makes no sense to me though anybody can negotiate any way

  • 34:06

they want somebody is free if they want to come to me if i go to somebody and i say hey i want to pay you x amount of dollars a year to do podcasts on the

  • 34:12

jumper platform they are free to say i'll do it if you give me one percent of the company two percent of the company

  • 34:17

i'm almost certainly gonna say no unless there's some deity that is going to bring a huge amount of value to the

  • 34:22

company but that conversation is a fair conversation what is stupid and a waste of time is people saying i worked there

  • 34:29

for 10 years i should own a part of it it's like if you want to have that conversation you should have had that conversation earlier nobody gets to just

  • 34:36

demand some new thing towards the end of their journey that's crazy that's cause they don't understand

  • 34:42

people come to me all the time oh you're gonna ask for equity of the joe button podcast i'm like dude you've been

  • 34:48

working at wherever you were you work at mcdonald's dropping no no don't take it to

  • 34:53

mcdonald's you work at jp morgan and they pay you 257 000 a year but your ceo

  • 35:00

makes 40 million did you go in there and demand one percent of jp morgan exactly no sit your dumb ass down but podcasting

  • 35:07

is so close to just a bunch of friends sitting around talking that people feel like it should be it's not comments

  • 35:21

and that's why you see podcasts popping up everywhere because they have nothing to say or people that make it look

  • 35:27

easier make it look in here kicking it at the barbershop and it's not that they know nothing about

  • 35:33

the inner workings of a podcast like i personally joe this was what 2016 2017

  • 35:38

told me start a podcast yo start your own podcast you know this is what this is what you do

  • 35:44

i started one i think we did maybe eight episodes over the course of three months no seven eight something

  • 35:50

like that when i realized how much it actually took mind you there's no money coming in

  • 35:56

so even finding where to record that you know getting the episodes uploaded paying for the artwork didn't get all of

  • 36:03

this stuff done i'm like wait i'm doing all this for what find an editor you like yeah find five six seven more um

  • 36:09

yeah in any business so you start to once you own once you start something and realize that yo as the owner

  • 36:17

it's [ __ ] involved that you never knew until you are the owner and that's the financial piece you're not talking about

  • 36:22

you spending nights up racking i'm sure the two of you spent nights literally you could barely sleep you

  • 36:28

could barely eat and you trying to figure this thing out and still maintain a level of profitability

  • 36:34

you know what i mean because you're still a grown-up at the end of the day you're not 17 living at home with your mom still before there is profitability

  • 36:40

that's what i'm saying you don't even get to that point yet and that's my point in the second how to make it profit the second you get there is every

  • 36:45

bill in the world that's going to fall out of the sky yeah every bill in the world i remember joe you called me one

  • 36:51

day asking me about uh the internet [ __ ] i mean about the data [ __ ] he was like yo is this normal

  • 36:56

i don't know if you remember it was a some crazy number yeah yeah you got to tell me you don't realize like when you

  • 37:01

get big enough yeah you have to pay for the size of your audience if you have a million people listening

  • 37:08

where are they listening to this at and can they sustain that that is a bill

  • 37:15

a lot of people got us they skipped that they don't know about that because you didn't get big enough to where this is a bill now you know that six figures

  • 37:23

yeah to have somebody listen to me yeah no no just to host it somewhere just so that they just know that they

  • 37:28

can just so that it lives somewhere that they can listen to it from a business perspective i just think that we throw

  • 37:33

around the equity [ __ ] plus we listening to hip hop and how people being jerked all the time and you know what i mean

  • 37:39

like you don't own so people that don't really have any business acumen they throw these words around so effortlessly

  • 37:46

that you know what i mean without even knowing what they mean or if you never owned a business in your life you've always been a worker

  • 37:52

what i liked about your spot when i went there we got a new spot now we all at

  • 37:58

how far from the old spot similar area bigger yeah way bigger more rooms more space

  • 38:05

what are you doing what was your thinking three different because they're your last spot that's let me finish this and

  • 38:10

throw and toss to you and your last spot that is what i was impressed with i walked in i seen you have your snapchat

  • 38:16

desk over here with your little thingamajiggy in this corner we got our gate over here we're taping this and all

  • 38:23

right we're going to multi-purpose this [ __ ] this is for here this but here i'll say here's this show what's this show

  • 38:28

it's this show so we getting it from everywhere so now you're in a bigger space so you're able to do this properly now yeah

  • 38:34

no [ __ ] speak to space yeah so we got three different studios so my traditionally like like act like

  • 38:41

does he have three he had two when i was there last time he got another spot okay yeah but three studios in the same

  • 38:46

building so that we could record three pieces of content at the same time so we could have a live stream going while i'm

  • 38:51

doing interviews while whatever is happening and all this [ __ ] we got a ton more room for the employees they've been

  • 38:57

you know sitting in this [ __ ] fly infested windowless pit how many employees

  • 39:03

i guess like 10 12 maybe um and uh so it's gonna be a lot better for them a lot more like outdoors areas ship room

  • 39:10

for us to just [ __ ] around we're getting one of them [ __ ] basketball pop shot machines which when i went to dj drama

  • 39:16

studio i saw the way that that just made everybody just melt and turn into little kids i'm like yes we got enough room

  • 39:22

that we're going to be able to put a bunch of fun [ __ ] because you know that's what you want when you have a guest on you kind of want them to

  • 39:27

open up become a little bit more childlike so i feel like just having all this i i even we have like a street fighter machine and i see the

  • 39:34

rappers famous rappers will just be start playing against each other going crazy yeah yeah everybody

  • 39:39

that's really the kind of goal is just to build it out make it more of a big fun house where people just feel like

  • 39:45

this is really a place you want to be doing a lot of graffiti and art all over the walls and [ __ ] so it'll really just

  • 39:50

want to make it a fun place where people want to go so they can record music while they're here and stuff you know

  • 39:56

how long you been in here uh they're moving they're literally like moving all of our podcasts set up there

  • 40:02

today so that's like the final step and they're gonna be moving it all weekend got it and i'm out here [ __ ] off

  • 40:12

yeah i got some smoke for you whoo rest in peace to the godfather

  • 40:18

kevin samuels rest in peace i don't like what you did after you died what it's disgusting what re-uploading the

  • 40:24

discussion interview disgusting what are you doing disc the nastiest performance

  • 40:29

i've ever seen what why do y'all do that it's an insane position for somebody in media to hold

  • 40:36

please what is your job as a content creator your job is to make content and get that content out to the people who want to see it false somebody dies there

  • 40:44

is a huge demand for that content you re-upload it people see it on their subscription feed they click on it because this is a very talked about

  • 40:50

thing people are literally mourning can't even listen to this what is the part that is disgusting give me a

  • 40:56

coherent argument against re-uploading content when that person is extremely newsworthy take it away we gotta ask

  • 41:01

them yeah was the content in a negative no connotation no no no what was your take on it

  • 41:07

oh no no that doesn't sound nice i won't say that no that's what i was asking i wanted to clarify because no he didn't

  • 41:13

he didn't uh slander his name he just re-uploaded everything in the world that he had on kevin samuels in the moment

  • 41:19

that he died we had never even uh done clips from that interview so i think we clipped somebody until you found a good

  • 41:24

time to do it yeah that sounds disgusting you had a kevin samuels we had already

  • 41:29

done it we didn't do clips at that time we started eclipse channel after that we start we went hard with the clips from

  • 41:35

that interview after he passed we had never done the clips before how soon after he passed uh i don't know the next

  • 41:41

hour one hour probably yeah it was nasty adam like like what is the natural part about

  • 41:47

yourself nastiness is you are trying to capitalize off of somebody else's demise before his family even had an

  • 41:52

opportunity how am i trying to capitalize that i want the people who are sad about his passing to have the

  • 41:58

content that they want to see then turn if you turn up monetization you're going

  • 42:03

to stop it from spreading on the platform stop it you know it's true you're a youtuber you know it stop it every youtuber out there

  • 42:10

knows i'm telling the truth is that why you did that stop because i thought that people yeah the whole thing with the making this content if i do a joke i'm

  • 42:16

going to market this office is it nice that i made a bunch of money off say what you're saying the right way because i'm going to upload this is it not good

  • 42:23

is it nice that i made did i interview you for money no but i made let's say 10 000 off of adsense when i interviewed

  • 42:30

you did i interview you for money no i'm not is the ten thousand dollar very nice but i'm not dead it's different when i'm

  • 42:35

not dead oh [ __ ] he passed stop it how does the death change that a big because you because had he not passed

  • 42:42

you wouldn't uploaded that like that had there not been a giant swell of interest in this guy because he passed then i

  • 42:48

wouldn't have uploaded it but he just answered your question i would have uploaded those clips either way yes but the interest why the fact that the

  • 42:54

audience wants to see it is the reason i upload it no the audience is searching the audience is searching his name and

  • 43:00

it's like you know what if they're going to search his name let me attach to that that's not necessarily going to look forward let me go through what clips are

  • 43:06

out there the fact that they're in his name his name is trending and let me attach to it it his name is trending let

  • 43:12

me attach to it yes let's just get that fancy that's saying something different no that's why that's saying something

  • 43:17

why when someone dies do we act like people only make content to make money it's not true i wanted to entertain the

  • 43:23

audience who had the content already meaningful you had the content already right that's why that's what the difference got around to uploading it

  • 43:29

and then he passed i'm like [ __ ] we gotta upload it of course and that's what we're saying yeah that is what we're saying

  • 43:35

i don't think it's sinister i don't see what's wrong with it how do you not i don't know i get it hasn't been explained

  • 43:40

between sinister and uh something in between there's something between sinister and innocent that's fair that exists that's true there's being a

  • 43:47

capitalist which is obviously a factor sure right yeah we're going to make money off that's capitalism but even if

  • 43:52

you so i make sure i know what i'm saying they get me with that a lot let's say we

  • 43:59

got a million extra views from re-uploading all those samus clips sinister

  • 44:04

giving the impression that something harmful or evil is happening or will happen

  • 44:09

that was sinister you think it's evil to make people watch more youtube content i think it is it's i'm only giving my

  • 44:17

opinion i'm not asking you all my opinion is like ish said before

  • 44:23

family members and loved ones get to put their loved one in the ground or have

  • 44:29

the important conversations with everybody in the family that love this man now every time we look at our phone we

  • 44:37

have to see the likes of you the likes of vlad the [ __ ] that partake in that nasty side

  • 44:44

of the business which is where it's only about metrics and monetization and your moral compass is totally eliminated from

  • 44:49

this that's what makes this nasty are you ready no i'm not ready you're ready no i'm not

  • 44:56

ready it said to me damn yo when this important person dies

  • 45:02

these are the figureheads some would call gatekeepers here i have a very important

  • 45:09

you won't let you can't talk and listen when pop smoke died what are the radio stations i have no idea they played it i

  • 45:15

don't i don't make it i don't listen to the radio he died we gotta celebrate this [ __ ] we gotta listen to the

  • 45:20

music that we all love that he made while he was live playing his music is a celebration

  • 45:26

of his life kevin samuel tell you what it is a celebration of who this man was

  • 45:32

different let me tell you why it's not about them y'all can't see that i can ask you i can answer you pop smoke his music was

  • 45:40

already in rotation always played tom is already in rotation

  • 45:54

it's the same as us playing his record on the radio no it's not how it is

  • 46:01

the interview itself was up we cut like i don't know however many maybe five five more to ten minutes

  • 46:08

how many clips did you do that's different absolutely no regulation it's your company you you like to fall back how

  • 46:14

many not three or four find a way to get a definite number it wasn't three and it

  • 46:19

    wasn't it was no jumper let's see what what i didn't know that it wasn't three and it wasn't funny i don't need to search [ __ ] it wasn't three it's a

  • 46:25

little distasteful to me but it's not nasty no no no answer in his defense i didn't know that he

  • 46:30

already aired his interview kevin i thought he had the interview on the tuck and when he died

  • 46:36

scroll back up to the top so we can see how far apart it is one year ago and then look at the clips

  • 46:41

are from like three months ago when he passed one we hadn't uploaded these clips yet three we got three four no that's not

  • 46:48

that's not us just three that that one's old so three clips

  • 46:54

three clips that all did a couple hundred thousand views at least each because people in that moment wanted to

  • 47:00

talk about kevin samuels and wanted to you know cherish what he was to the

  • 47:05

community while he was out here we found three for the record three right there you can see all of them right there

  • 47:11

kevin samuels on interracial relationships one yeah read that right there

  • 47:16

right there yeah cause that's important let's take one at a time that is important the headline is important you don't see how at the time of a man's

  • 47:23

death you can take something controversial from them and post it and have people feeling or

  • 47:30

looking at this in a a light other than hey this man died like a very easy way

  • 47:36

to remedy this would have been like recipes kevin samuels tell me that you are lacking the

  • 47:41

humanness to where you don't see what i'm saying kevin samuels dedicated his life to spreading his message you don't

  • 47:47

know wait stop yeah that's it that's more [ __ ] so you always challenge things that are so evident

  • 47:52

his whole career was sitting on stream and making these videos and spreading his message to people how could i possibly be faulted for spreading his

  • 47:59

message further after he passed knowing that this is the time when people are really going to want to consume this

  • 48:05

information arrogance of you you have known of kevin samuels for how many

  • 48:11

    years let's say you can't you can't surmise [ __ ] about that

  • 48:17

who the [ __ ] are you to know somebody for two years and think that you could say what their whole life was dedicated to that's self evidence his life no it's

  • 48:24

not she wants to make content and spread his views on the world i don't know that i don't know that that's all i don't

  • 48:29

know you are lacking accountability for two years

  • 48:39

he didn't express it to me during the interview in the interview he told me this is what i'm doing i think it's important i think that i'm having an

  • 48:46

important impact on uh specifically black people's relationships that was what was important to him so say that

  • 48:51

though you said you said his life was based on something else you didn't say that

  • 48:57

making content about the things that he believes in and interracial relationships were definitely something that he felt strongly about and i don't

  • 49:04

think there's anything wrong with further spreading his words after he passed not at all i actually think it's

  • 49:10

more important i didn't know that the interview had already been released right that changes things from my

  • 49:16

opinion for sure however now in seeing how you guys worded the clips this is

  • 49:22

clickbaity this is absolutely a thousand percent clickbaity when i hear clickbait i hear good titling like titling a video

  • 49:28

so people will actually watch it true now but you are playing on the fact that

  • 49:34

he was as the disdain for him might have been bigger than the positive popularity for

  • 49:41

him would you agree i think the people that there's more people who love them than people who hated me i disagree no way especially in

  • 49:47

the public he got a lot of hate but at times yeah the big guy the haters what part the haters what took him to the next his fan base was based on haters

  • 49:53

though i think he got eighty percent love and twenty percent hate no results no way no way never no

  • 49:59

not even clear dude not even close no not even close but you know what he could say that being coming from a white

  • 50:04

male maybe i was really kind of tuned out to the yeah the negativity no i'm probably true yeah he he's he's coming

  • 50:11

from a white male's perspective so he can potentially say that i know almost nobody who doesn't like the guy you know

  • 50:17

everybody i know jack thought he was great it is the exact exact opposite in real life it is the exact opposite like

  • 50:23

you saying you like prior to you say his name and it was like time out no and you did an interview with him a year ago

  • 50:29

right you guys hang out with both people i don't i don't know no no no no no no this is your job though your job is to

  • 50:35

create content and keep your ear to the ground so i know when you put your con your your interview with him out a year

  • 50:41

ago you read the comments or no yeah of course he had some hate comments a ton of them some a lot no he had he had to come on

  • 50:48

most people i would say most people come on you guys know about andrew tate he just got banned off facebook and

  • 50:54

instagram but he he's like a more a much more extreme kevin samuels you know he's saying a lot more offensive [ __ ] and

  • 51:01

it's his platform and i still you know he's primarily i think streams on was it youtube no i mean what's his um his yo

  • 51:09

a little bit of a little bit of misogyny in there you know massage i mean he's kevin's he's a younger version uh uh i

  • 51:16

don't even want to talk about him i think he's way more extreme than kevin so i don't want to put them in the same bucket but i do feel like andrew takes a

  • 51:22

ton of hate but it's still probably like eighty percent kevin samuels on women preferring hustlers to work as a man

  • 51:30

disgusting labeling why you don't see where you are disgusting but he hasn't died

  • 51:36

i know what he said but he just died right so now who the [ __ ] are you to come and highlight the controversial

  • 51:42

things that this man said because you are familiar with him for [ __ ] two years i think i think that's controversial

  • 51:48

[Music] i thought it was a good title adam you

  • 51:54

know what this is your [ __ ] line of work i'm about to give him some passes right i'm on his ass with a whole nother

  • 52:00

thing this ain't the only person who did this with no i don't i don't think you've really like convinced me at all that i did anything wrong i wasn't

  • 52:06

trying to convince you i'm not trying to convince you but no if you're sitting here saying that you think kevin kevin samuel's hate to love ratio was 20 80

  • 52:13

either you are which i told you i don't know you to be a liar right you would have to be completely or you are

  • 52:20

business i've never met well you are playing anybody who had the i hate kevin samuel's conversation with me i've seen

  • 52:25

it unfolding online but then you've seen it i don't know people you've seen it in excess not just a good amount of it but

  • 52:31

not like which means and you had an interview with him a year ago i'm sure it was tons and tons and tons of hate no

  • 52:39

i didn't i got no blow back not for you no no we don't have the message in the in the middle you read the messages

  • 52:44

not necessarily blow backwards click on the comments any one of those black women will be rejoicing he's never seen

  • 52:50

any of that they know they still are underestimated clearly they still formidable no jumper audience that does

  • 52:55

not get offended by anything because they're all real real men

  • 53:00

are not scared of the truth no he might be right and i know so what i'm saying from a demographic standpoint black

  • 53:07

women were rejoicing when he died look at these comments these are all positive comments these are all people who are

  • 53:13

really feeling the message that he had this is after he passed yes and these are people

  • 53:19

who went to this video and were able to spend time relishing i'll give you an

  • 53:24

example i was just at my uh my uncle's funeral he died he's like 80 something they're playing videos from his life you

  • 53:31

know different things that he had been involved with different speeches he had given what's going on in the room

  • 53:36

everybody people dry in their eyes because they're remembering what a [ __ ] great guy this was and how amazing what he did during his life was

  • 53:43

how is that any different than me re-uploading the clips after he passed so that everybody who is using the

  • 53:49

algorithm and searching for new clips can now re-remember his message because the moment should be

  • 53:54

about the man that passed not about these people that start to declare this guy like it's tasteless and i can't i

  • 54:00

can't teach you taste or the controversy you don't know that this is basically special messages that he's bought for i think you're in denial about what you do

  • 54:07

for a living you make content you serve it to people give me one example of joe budden doing something where his moral

  • 54:13

compass wasn't in the content space see i'm not like y'all y'all do that y'all minded y'all y'all are like little

  • 54:19

monetization roaches i don't think i did anything wrong i think we're clearing that right um i gotta

  • 54:25

shoot him some bail i got to shoot him some bell just because and i want to crack you

  • 54:32

no i i got five more examples coming after this so please shoot him bill no my thing is i just think that

  • 54:39

he just is out of touch with our demo well you guys are probably older than me

  • 54:44

right ish stop because that exists in what i'm

  • 54:50

saying adam 22 has become a multi-millionaire off of black culture

  • 54:57

it is his responsibility to be more in touch i interview a lot of people from a lot of different races i know but it's

  • 55:03

black culture that has made you a multi-millionaire i don't give a [ __ ] about the bikes it's black culture right that has made

  • 55:10

you a multi-millionaire you are an agreement with that you are trying to argue wait i wasn't finishing my point

  • 55:16

because of that it's almost your responsibility that is true to be somewhat in tune with what should

  • 55:25

and shouldn't happen when prominent figures pass that's true that's not the time to put on your white card and say

  • 55:30

hey my audience my hi-hat dance my this it's a lot of my what i'm saying is in the moment of

  • 55:37

someone perishing that's true it should be them and that is and you don't seem to take that stance and this is not the

  • 55:43

only person that you have done this with when they die and that's my argument with rogan and schultz when they say

  • 55:48

certain things same and a black community comes to defend them saying yo they talk about everybody yo it's jokes

  • 55:56

yo it's this if you are in tune with the black culture and we're piggybacking i

  • 56:02

won't say rogan because his primary demo is not that but if you are in tune with black culture and you're a friend to

  • 56:08

black culture dog is certain [ __ ] that you should know you can't cross that line can't do it

  • 56:14

not to you i'm just giving examples yo if i'm in tune with you now wait wait wait wait wait wait let me

  • 56:20

finish let me finish if i got a bunch of jewish friends right i know that is certain [ __ ] that i'm gonna say that i

  • 56:26

can't say out of sensitivity for them when donald trump was dissing hispanics right if i have hispanic friends and i'm

  • 56:34

just an outward trump supporter i know that that might be touchy for them hispanics love trump now but they do

  • 56:40

this not all some this depart to make it more nasty for him you up already

  • 56:45

right i don't think hispanics like being called hispanic by the way they don't like that next language

  • 56:51

i don't know the part that makes him more nasty adam is you up already it's not like you building your plan so you didn't need to

  • 56:57

do it it's not like i need the audience i'm super good if i die

  • 57:02

    i will not upload and i will not chop up our [ __ ] i will put i wouldn't i believe it wouldn't

  • 57:09

matter what you want to take the time stamps from this interview and you find the four or five most interesting things

  • 57:15

that i said that that are representative of what message i was putting out here i don't know if i've really been like

  • 57:20

messaging anything in particular right now but if that were to be the case and you were to cut those clips i would

  • 57:25

think that you were doing a service to my family my fans and the people who

  • 57:31

supported my brand by taking the things that i said and monitoring them on blast the same way that a radio patient

  • 57:37

playing pop smoke records after he dies is them celebrating the life of poshmark

  • 57:42

they're not nobody would say oh the radio is just trying to mock you wait wait wait wait you think you think the headlines you put up about kevin samuels

  • 57:49

is you celebration because it's spreading his message whatever he had to say to the world what he chose to say in

  • 57:55

his no jumper interview while he was alive he gets this is the stuff that we were highlighting

  • 58:01

you're a multi-millionaire and you know that the power and your wording for the clips that are the best put up there

  • 58:07

they they they paint a picture and you're one of the best at your crowd you can't play you can't play stupid you

  • 58:13

understand the youtube game the monetization game you have a staff

  • 58:19

the time to be self-serving is not at the time of somebody's passing in black people i think it was much more serving

  • 58:25

to the audience and his fans than it was to me even though yes we made some money but we have a staff who has to cut these

  • 58:31

clips we have we have you know there's a reason why you could make money

  • 58:40

i thought it was important to spread his message after he passed the same way i thought it was important

  • 58:45

to put his message on blast while he was alive how many other people that passed have you done this with

  • 58:51

plenty why is that part of your business model

  • 58:57

because i think it's the right thing to do i don't think there's anything wrong with it and i actually think that it benefits the audience who does it why do

  • 59:05

you keep talking about those because that's how we make content who's the benefit more so at no point do you

  • 59:10

do you take a gut call and make a decision as the head of a company

  • 59:16

like why are you telling me about the audience who means nothing they don't mean not they don't mean everything i know i know i know you see time this

  • 59:22

doesn't exist i know i know save it save it save it buddy they mean something i

  • 59:28

agree with him but they don't mean nothing at the top of the board making their decisions for the company no they

  • 59:34

don't not just that that's on you and the people that make them decisions in comparison to his family they barely got an opportunity to grieve and it was and

  • 59:41

if your pulse is on the culture which i'm assuming that it is then you know it was definitely blow back when he passed

  • 59:46

away if you don't get any blow back from not uploading not you we're talking about that no i know he got somebody so what i'm saying

  • 59:53

is your pulse is on the culture your post is on hip hop your post is on black culture then you know that when this man

  • 59:59

passed away there was a shitstorm of anti-kevin kevin samuels rhetoric a [ __ ]

  • 1:00:05

ton so now when i post you considered none and when i post these things about him with interracial dating sure all of

  • 1:00:11

this other stuff then you know it's gonna be something kevin didn't give a [ __ ] about the hate he was getting the

  • 1:00:17

same way i didn't give a [ __ ] about the hate that i'm getting for uploading his clips people got on my ass a little bit

  • 1:00:22

for interviewing them i guess i don't [ __ ] care but you're not addressing you're not addressing the timeliness of your eclipse when it came to his family

  • 1:00:30

and you're not addressing any united dress in white history in this because we keep talking about black saying hey you should have a pulse and you should

  • 1:00:36

have a pulse and if you look at that you're not addressing white history and

  • 1:00:42

none of this what you mean which is uh let's see how do we explain this i'm

  • 1:00:48

explaining how to explain this white history

  • 1:00:56

using black people using kevin samuels his name image and

  • 1:01:01

likeness with really no regard care consideration or love for how you do so as long as you're monetizing i think i

  • 1:01:07

did all those things i think those clips represent them well look at these comments this was my favorite kevin

  • 1:01:12

samuel's interview i came back to watch it in memoriam r.i.p godfather

  • 1:01:18

exactly that's why i uploaded it and that's why i said there's a disconnect look at that comment six thousand likes

  • 1:01:24

kevin is blowing up because the problem is recognized by all men regardless no they just they just don't know what he's doing that's why he keeps taking it to

  • 1:01:30

fans and i keep taking it to him you have chosen to they they are humans i think if you really

  • 1:01:36

    have a heart

  • 1:01:41

you did this vlad did this like your little net no not a lot of people

  • 1:01:47

really not and that's my point i just think it's normal i know but not a lot of people did this really

  • 1:01:53

it's only you and your little [ __ ] white boy compadre that did this

  • 1:02:00

black people don't think to do this when black people

  • 1:02:05

die the black content creator you did not see that act didn't do it nobody did it it was you

  • 1:02:11

and vlad so what do you think about that y'all too in black culture treating

  • 1:02:18

black people like that i think vlad was the first person that i saw do it and i think that my gut reaction at first was

  • 1:02:25

like oh that's kind of nasty that's kind of cringe and then as i thought about it i landed it with a perspective more like

  • 1:02:32

what i have now which is that i think it's important to when you post a clip you're spreading

  • 1:02:38

that person's message more you're getting their content out there more and i think that when they

  • 1:02:44

pass it's even more important that we celebrate their life by talking about them and serving this content up in the

  • 1:02:50

algorithm for the people tell issue about oh god you you just [ __ ] up though

  • 1:02:56

you said when vlad did it your immediate gut reaction was cringy and it's in bad taste right why would

  • 1:03:03

you think that because i hadn't thought about it enough why would your immediate gut reaction be

  • 1:03:11

yo this isn't bad taste and it's cringy i think vlad was the first one through the wall on a lot of things and that he

  • 1:03:17

was the one who figured out this made sense yeah very very early on he danced he tapped dancing he did

  • 1:03:22

dancing what you didn't answer my answer i'm not talking about vlogging you know i care about what you're doing because it was something i had never

  • 1:03:28

seen done at first i thought oh i've never seen someone just immediately upload a person's content after they

  • 1:03:34

passed then why do you think that's true why do you think you would never why did your gut reaction think that it wasn't a

  • 1:03:39

proper thing to do because it's not because i've never seen it done because you're a human human

  • 1:03:46

oh that makes a lot of sense the tv networks do the same exact thing if if if some [ __ ] fans say mtv was still

  • 1:03:52

what it is right now and and god bless you know pop smoke passes what are they going to do they're going to be playing

  • 1:03:58

hour-long blocks of pop smoke music videos because that's what people want to see at that moment business does a

  • 1:04:03

ton of [ __ ] with no regard for humanity but i don't think there's anything wrong with it people want to see that content

  • 1:04:10

in that moment look somebody got some a cop put his knee on a man's neck for nine

  • 1:04:17

minutes right it ran on tv every [ __ ] channel on the planet yes yes people

  • 1:04:23

watched it every [ __ ] channel on the planet somebody was watching it do you still think that that's adequate to show just

  • 1:04:30

because people are going to gravitate to negativity i thought it was unbelievably important to show because it made so

  • 1:04:36

many people read an article if i had read a tweet describing the george floyd homicide

  • 1:04:43

i would have thought that's terrible i would have never understood it the way that i understood it when i watched it in full you are a thousand years now now

  • 1:04:52

cool fast forward that into somebody because now it's inform information it's an

  • 1:04:57

informative of what's going on in the world right so i'm with you there now let's say a year from now somebody gets

  • 1:05:03

an opportunity to monetize it let's say they put it in a rap song let's say they tic-tocked it and just had the knee go

  • 1:05:09

yo dawg it's disgusting that you because your initial reaction was a human one that vlad did this is yucky

  • 1:05:16

and then now your brain business brain kicks in to say you know what but if pop

  • 1:05:22

smoke died he's on to something the radio stations that do this the generation has made a a a headline or a uh icon or

  • 1:05:30

something that would you could have honored the man yeah exactly right you could have i know you think that right

  • 1:05:36

we're not talking about what your white your white boy brains no i have no idea what i think what else is that i know

  • 1:05:41

but you're in your brain ugly your brain don't have a place in that we know you think that

  • 1:05:47

i'm asking you to humanize everyone here you already did that to yourself you said what you

  • 1:05:52

thought initially but if kevin samuel's mom called you to say yo dawg

  • 1:05:59

you didn't have to do this right now you would your reply wouldn't be all of this [ __ ] that you my audience i have a

  • 1:06:06

due diligence and i was spreading his likeness and his awareness that's the part i'm attacking we're missing

  • 1:06:11

humanness if his mom asked me that i would think she was just as confused as i currently think that you are about the

  • 1:06:17

issue but would i probably delete it not his arrogance from this mom i think his mother was confused i would think she

  • 1:06:24

was confused about what the role of media is when somebody passes because i think the role of media is to promote

  • 1:06:29

content about that person to allow people to celebrate it adam that they're like that's him

  • 1:06:36

wait i went and created them wait let's wait listen to me he think that that conversation is a

  • 1:06:42

media conversation that's true why do you think that that conversation

  • 1:06:48

between you and his mom hypothetically it would be about meteor and the role of you when her son is dead what the [ __ ]

  • 1:06:55

is wrong with you white boys we run a media company we put media out

  • 1:07:01

that's our business and that's how we engage with our audience you know by uploading youtube videos right i understand and and if people want to see

  • 1:07:09

that person at that moment i consider it my duties

  • 1:07:23

that's why nobody thinks that you podcast just for the money right you don't i don't know when someone passes and we promote that

  • 1:07:29

content why is that viewed through the sinister lens of oh they just want to make money because you didn't cut monetization off no bigger than that

  • 1:07:36

because you that's not how you do that for more and you ignored you ignored and the time

  • 1:07:45

and right after that i was like yo let's get these clips out hurry up let's take it off him for a minute tell ish about minding your last conversation to be a

  • 1:07:51

text okay and this was something that uh caused us to do quite a bit of

  • 1:07:57

self-reflection amongst me and the news team basically somebody on the news team had posted something about one of joe's

  • 1:08:04

exes who uh had sort of taken some old claims of abuse and brought them back to the

  • 1:08:10

surface my media team was talking about it certain people felt strongly about it

  • 1:08:15

they wanted to post it they said adam do you do you think it's okay if we post this i said if if you think it's

  • 1:08:20

important and you think it's newsworthy then i'm not going to step in between you and this content and you posting it then they post it you hit me up you

  • 1:08:27

inform me that this is the same exact [ __ ] that they've been saying forever this is not new i felt like that was a

  • 1:08:32

really good argument that if this is old [ __ ] and it's just being regurgitated without cause

  • 1:08:38

then that is a very good point and so we ended up having conversations about it afterwards i ultimately ended up

  • 1:08:44

regretting it but at the same time feeling like this is a difficult position for me to be in to tell you know my

  • 1:08:53

it's not when you were human it's not a difficult spot to be in at all when there's humanness involved in this okay

  • 1:08:59

let me read it let me read it just so we're clear and everybody's on the same page here

  • 1:09:05

here we go i send him the clip no jumper joe button x says blah blah

  • 1:09:12

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah it's the same thing that's been there for 10 years him and i know each other

  • 1:09:18

this ain't kevin samuels we have spoke he protocol looks up to me [ __ ] we've

  • 1:09:25

almost done business i text him and say yo this is disgusting

  • 1:09:30

adam this is disgusting he says news team posted it

  • 1:09:36

why is it disgusting already we're pushing this off on our employees well i think in that moment that they were

  • 1:09:42

under the impression that this was big news and that we would i don't i'm not talking about your [ __ ] minions i

  • 1:09:48

don't care what you're meant for they're very important in the story i know but for my story it's only you that's important because you run the [ __ ]

  • 1:09:55

    ultimately you run the [ __ ] you run the ship i don't understand that i don't give a [ __ ] about what your staff thinks

  • 1:10:00

[ __ ] your staff right i'm talking to you [ __ ] the ball oh similarly it all comes totally okay with that no my thing is i

  • 1:10:06

take all this money for them wait let me finish it wait what the why is it disgusting would have been pre had me

  • 1:10:13

perturbed exactly so i don't think there's anything disgusting but he didn't so he acknowledged people acknowledging some news team posted it

  • 1:10:19

why is it disgusting that was a real question that's what it had me pretending not

  • 1:10:24

really that's not really a real question why is it but all right cool

  • 1:10:35

    [Applause]

  • 1:10:42

it seemed like news to me in the moment tell them maybe because

  • 1:10:47

it's a story from 15 years ago that your team is running that doesn't even have paperwork to support it but i will not

  • 1:10:54

tell you how to run your business have a blast he says i mean it's a new

  • 1:11:00

statement from her right i would need a pretty good reason to tell them to delete it

  • 1:11:06

that's what he said to me oh y'all hear me or do i need to repeat this no i heard you the fact that you

  • 1:11:12

think that this is some crazy [ __ ] i said it's very weird to me adam this is the most cockamania i've ever been i

  • 1:11:18

think that if i'm out everybody in hip-hop has covered this story about you at some point right true has everybody

  • 1:11:23

in here mostly 10 years ago has everybody in hip-hop covered your stories some

  • 1:11:28

no has everybody in hip-hop covered your stories i think when i had my story though it was a much i was a

  • 1:11:35

much smaller personality so it was covered by and now that you are bigger right some of those nasty

  • 1:11:42

we'll call false allegations i don't know enough about them but they should have been dead they would be detrimental

  • 1:11:49

if true there's nobody that are reposting some of those stories of the things that

  • 1:11:54

women said that you did to them right today 2020 can you answer my very direct question

  • 1:12:00

well no i don't see a lot of that so my thing is and that's where i'm losing i don't think he's wrong for his team but

  • 1:12:06

i think the insensitivity and yo why do you think this is wrong i would need a really good reason to delete this as

  • 1:12:12

opposed to me and you having a personal relationship and you now going to research what is going on and coming up

  • 1:12:18

with your own rationale to delete it well i was actually really asking him for the reason that he thought that it

  • 1:12:24

was so unfair because if he proposed to me that it was unfair or that this was being misrepresented in a way that i

  • 1:12:30

thought was accurate then i would delete it in reality you guys had just made this statement you're not as stupid as you

  • 1:12:35

play no so i mean you're not asking dude you're not as stupid as you're playing you're generating money so you're not as

  • 1:12:41

stupid generating money you guys you said earlier that you guys

  • 1:12:46

are friendly right you have a relationship so if i'm calling adam that's my man and

  • 1:12:52

i'm saying yo this is disgusting before i even would have replied to you oh i said why why do you think that i'm

  • 1:12:59

i'm lost why do you think that and then whatever you said the 15 year [ __ ] now i don't even immediately hit you back

  • 1:13:05

going to look i'm going to look man i'm at my team time out i'm at my team i'm gonna go look and research what joe is

  • 1:13:12

saying and then now i'm gonna come back to my friend or the person that i have

  • 1:13:31

i hate the entertainment business because if i have a semblance of a friendship or relationship with somebody

  • 1:13:37

before i even allow my team to run the story true or false i call a person first

  • 1:13:42

and i'm gonna say yo dawg my team just came across this [ __ ] and i agree i wish i got it posted i

  • 1:13:48

wish i had handled that situation in a more human manner much like what you're describing so i am going to acknowledge

  • 1:13:54

100 that i wish that i had been more empathetic or more you know involved with the process before they

  • 1:14:00

posted or whatever but also i just want you to understand that as a news site the post news

  • 1:14:05

a lot of times i mean this seemed like news to us at the time you consider yourself a journalist i don't think i deserve to tell a journalist necessarily

  • 1:14:11

but we run you know a media company that posts news and a lot of times when a guy is accused of being abusive towards a woman or

  • 1:14:18

whatever this is just an obvious news story right and i think in this situation there was

  • 1:14:23

confusion amongst the team about how new this was what new [ __ ] was being brought to the table how well sourced it

  • 1:14:29

was et cetera because those are all factors that matter i'm sure that you would agree citations are important if if last week you went to the hookah bar

  • 1:14:35

and smacked the [ __ ] in the face i'm pretty sure you would agree with me that that would be worthy of being covered on no jumpers news page right yes if you

  • 1:14:42

got arrested then it's it's yeah it's recent it's well well sourced and you're saying that whoa this was not that it

  • 1:14:49

wasn't well sourced it wasn't well sourced and before just us and we're new podcasters sometimes up

  • 1:14:55

here we'll be like yo yo stop and we'll stop recording to go research before we

  • 1:15:00

see the medium that's posting like if it's variety or somebody that is more reputable then we'll post it you know or

  • 1:15:07

we'll run with the story even if we don't and why this why this bothers me even more so in this example is because

  • 1:15:13

you and i have had private conversations and confidence i would be tight about

  • 1:15:19

some of them nasty charges that was coming your way i don't have charges

  • 1:15:25

i never had a rape allegation right yeah i never had a rape allegation and we had moments where you let me know

  • 1:15:33

hey someone's lying on me and it's affecting my business

  • 1:15:38

i would think that if there was anybody in the world that would do a little better with that

  • 1:15:45

it would be you but you keep checking your humanness at the door and i'm trying to find out why

  • 1:15:51

that's a good one in that situation you know i should have been more involved with the process i don't think at that point

  • 1:15:57

the team i had never even had i've never had a conversation where i said hey here's a list of people that you need to be extremely careful about covering

  • 1:16:03

because i have personal relationships nor should you you know shouldn't do that right but there are it probably would i think it would be beneficial for

  • 1:16:09

me to be like you should have a fact checker there's a certain amount of stuff that

  • 1:16:14

if i have a close relationship with somebody we should be even more diligent although we should be diligent in general about everything that we have

  • 1:16:21

you know but this time it felt to them like this was a big story that was unfolding in retrospect

  • 1:16:27

it was a total dud that was basically a rehash or some [ __ ] that had been done before i wish it played out differently

  • 1:16:32

i wish i had handled it differently i mean i definitely acknowledged that that didn't work out that's a good answer that's different than the way i feel

  • 1:16:38

about the kevin shameless thing right now no but that's a good so let me ask you a question that's a great answer right no and i always acknowledge all

  • 1:16:44

day this [ __ ] i think i've done wrong so in that my my text to my man would have been oh

  • 1:16:50

[ __ ] yo we dropped the ball on this my bad i apologize yeah see in my opinion

  • 1:16:56

accountability apologies and accountability are so grown like if a chick is accountable for some [ __ ] i

  • 1:17:03

find it sexy i think just us as men sometimes we look at accountability and

  • 1:17:08

apologies like vulnerability there was probably three times that i before i hit him up about i am coming to new york

  • 1:17:14

let's talk where i thought to myself i want to hit joe up and talk to him about

  • 1:17:19

that and then just couldn't figure out what i wanted to say he's so busy that i don't know if i

  • 1:17:25

facetime he's not going to pick up he got a million things going on if i text them what the [ __ ] am i going to say i don't

  • 1:17:31

feel like i can get across what i want to say about this subject and words so i don't want you to think that i checked

  • 1:17:36

my humanity at the door even though that decision was not ideal right yo i'm sorry dog

  • 1:17:42

three words i'm sorry i am sorry yeah cause i i don't want to text that three in the middle one last text to him in

  • 1:17:48

that exchange was oh he said i mean it's a news uh a new statement from her right

  • 1:17:53

i would need a pretty good reason to tell them to delete i would have been tight yeah that part right there had me tight i would have been tired well that told me

  • 1:17:59

two things it said that he's stupid and he don't know he's being stupid the next sentence was i didn't ask you to delete

  • 1:18:05

a thing which i didn't i'm just speaking to someone i have supported say less

  • 1:18:11

his next text to me is friday yo i'm out there i'm in new york

  • 1:18:17

i'm in new york on wednesday dawg what are we doing i didn't even know we're gonna do content i figured let's get together at the hookah lounge and we

  • 1:18:23

could talk about our differences maybe there'll be a podcast set up yeah yeah

  • 1:18:29

that's what i'm saying about white people that's not white people [ __ ] no some white but not white no

  • 1:18:34

no no no no money content over everything [ __ ] you know that's it cause you

  • 1:18:40

know when you joe you and joe go to the hookah bar y'all gonna start kicking it and it's gonna be a yo i'm gonna come on your show monday that one let's go i'm

  • 1:18:47

gonna come on your show give me this yeah meet the man that killed young dolph right after young dolph died one of

  • 1:18:53

those explain this one look at right there the young doll shot and killed in memphis nine months ago

  • 1:18:58

all right so we waited the man who killed young dogs seven months ago come on adam give us something yo do you

  • 1:19:05

must give us something y'all of course but do you not think that them

  • 1:19:10

finding the guy who killed young dolph or whatever that that's news you know what my roommate is let me tell you let

  • 1:19:15

me tell you you're looking at yourself you know what the [ __ ] he did yeah

  • 1:19:20

let me tell you a rule i have here and then you can take the floor is yours the rule that i have here is

  • 1:19:26

    and they'll tell you i stay out the street [ __ ] yeah that's fine [ __ ] is broken [ __ ] is

  • 1:19:31

reported the streets talk we hear [ __ ] he killed who he did that who did what but in terms of media

  • 1:19:38

i don't it's not my job to report it tell y'all what happened that's i don't have a role in this it's not my favorite

  • 1:19:43

difference is we do the news and you don't but you talk about the news but we like report on the news like we have a news

  • 1:19:50

earlier you put us all in the same monetization group i was saying i don't do some of that there's some of the same

  • 1:19:55

things but you guys are not breaking news you talk about stuff that has pretty much been established right and it's not like we're really like breaking

  • 1:20:01

news it's not like meet the man that killed young dogs that's disgusting is come on and and

  • 1:20:07

again it's titled that way or see the benefit of the title and look because that's why that one's at 430 000 views

  • 1:20:15

and all the other young dolphins the rest in peace young dolph the other young everything else is nowhere near

  • 1:20:21

close to that right this was intentional and that's what we keep saying just say just say i'm doing

  • 1:20:26

    strong for the views

  • 1:20:32

but you want to deny the reality of the fact that if you make youtube

  • 1:20:38

content you're going to have to think about your titles at a certain point you're going to have to title it well so

  • 1:20:43

that people want to watch it you guys have clips well that's the reality of the business that's a fact now did the

  • 1:20:48

title sometimes maybe like enter into the realm of bad taste meet the man who killed young dog it could

  • 1:20:54

    have been a taste

  • 1:21:06

young dog shot and killed in memphis right okay that's what that's that's a fair title that's a fair title it's reporting 46 thousand for the news

  • 1:21:13

a month after that let's double back r.i.p young dolph only 85. just 85. nothing working that's

  • 1:21:20

just a okay check this out original and then i know let's just let's go a month past that all right next month we hey we found

  • 1:21:28

this we got it meet the man who killed young oh my lord so come on adam smash come on adam

  • 1:21:35

i'm trying to just give it up what would be the literal version of this title

  • 1:21:40

man arrested accused of murdering young dolph that's that's a fair representation of

  • 1:21:47

literally right wrestling in the murder of young dogs young dolph's alleged killer no you

  • 1:21:52

    you introducing us meet

  • 1:22:04

let me tell you what that clip did to me that clip told me you interviewing this [ __ ]

  • 1:22:18

you got a platform interviewing people i see this like oh they sat down with this [ __ ]

  • 1:22:24

thinking that this title is like 15 percent more spicy than a title that would just be literal

  • 1:22:31

it's so close it's so not that far off

  • 1:22:38

    [Applause]

  • 1:22:50

uh yo i was moving foul i think i understand what you're saying i'm not saying i'm gonna change my behavior yeah

  • 1:22:56

right but i do understand where y'all are coming from don't really think it was like

  • 1:23:02

that come on okay we got it you got a title that you guys would think was acceptable and then you guys

  • 1:23:09

suggested that if it was like oh look it's like two words different this guy makes it deep

  • 1:23:15

this guy's gonna rest in peace to these people i don't want to make it seem like i'm laughing right

  • 1:23:21

you're going crazy here which one what does it say read it man the billionaire i ain't reading it

  • 1:23:27

neither you know i'm i'm up with energy and vibes and frequencies i can't you read it it's yours [ __ ] you put it out

  • 1:23:33

which one any of them read that one right there hey alex put the arrow above the one you wanted to

  • 1:23:39

read oh i didn't know you'd be yeah that one right there yeah that one right there yeah yeah well i interviewed that one

  • 1:23:46

fbg cash and this is a clip from the interview fbg cash claims little dirk told them to

  • 1:23:51

take a photo at king von's mural rest in peace king vaughn rest in peace

  • 1:23:58

cash oh no this is like this is not just an isolated incident that's what i'm saying that's what i'm

  • 1:24:04

saying [Applause] that's what he talked about in the interview that's what he talked about that was it

  • 1:24:10

not funny i mean that's not at all it's an important thing it's an important thing to talk about this is a a microcosm of this business and what goes

  • 1:24:18

on and how some people look at black artists black lives like come on adam

  • 1:24:23

    you got a bigger responsibility to this as a multi-millionaire from [ __ ]

  • 1:24:28

i know all the guys listen i know many many guys right i've been there i know these guys

  • 1:24:34

are interviewed a bunch of them i [ __ ] with them i [ __ ] with the gds as well none of them have told me that they think these titles are in any way out of

  • 1:24:41

line because to them it just seems like common sense if you're going to interview these guys of course you're going to talk about the [ __ ] that they

  • 1:24:46

actually talk about in there now you sound like a label head no no i'm tight condo i ain't going to hold you think

  • 1:24:53

about this this interview came out he had no complaints none of the old bloggers you guys are so much more

  • 1:24:59

sensitive than the actual gang you know why because we're in our forties stop stop

  • 1:25:04

stop wrapping up the shuttle no no let me finish no no no he's saying he's saying we're

  • 1:25:10

more sensitive we're the young black people that are these kids parents these are our little brothers these are our

  • 1:25:17

[ __ ] nephews that are outside killing each other and you white people are now interviewing them

  • 1:25:23

    what about when they win

  • 1:25:31

he ain't making the money you are you sitting there interviewing these black kids that are [ __ ] killing each other

  • 1:25:36

and y'all monetizing it that's not cool i don't give a [ __ ] what they talking about in these songs y'all are turning a

  • 1:25:42

prophet off of this black trauma of them killing each other yeah they're the ones doing the killing because they're young and they dumb and they don't [ __ ]

  • 1:25:48

know no better we 45 or 46 years old and we know better because these are our nephews so they're not your nephews and

  • 1:25:55

that's why you don't see the kevin samuel [ __ ] in the same light that we see it because you're a white dude and

  • 1:26:00

you don't understand what he is except kevin samuels was causing a black drill wrappers aren't worth worthy of being

  • 1:26:06

interviewed i'm not bro you're not going to spend my words i'm sharp i mean that's what i'm taking for more years no

  • 1:26:11

that's not what i'm saying interviews ask him about his music and his content true and what i'm telling you is he's 19

  • 1:26:18

20 21 years old he's gonna give anything just to be on somebody's [ __ ] camera and get some light shine on his project

  • 1:26:25

i interviewed what i'm saying is he lost it he lost his life i interview rappers all the time people are losing their

  • 1:26:32

lives and you keep telling me about this business i interview them and they don't they don't know about crazy [ __ ] no

  • 1:26:39

because they do know better i'm telling you most street rappers when you interview them are not gonna say [ __ ] about their ops or they're not gonna

  • 1:26:45

they're they're not gonna whatever they're older ones they're smart about it older ones smarter

  • 1:26:52

he was someone that's a normal word to me he was someone who was more open about the people he was beeping with obviously he's like little dirk's top op

  • 1:26:58

while he was living right and so he's talking about his problems with little dirk because that's a that's a prominent

  • 1:27:04

theme in his music and stuff hanging out with people

  • 1:27:09

it's not funny his enemy is a word that has been used for his

  • 1:27:14

longest time okay he's talking about this stuff in his content so i asked him about it during

  • 1:27:20

the interview because that's what a lot of his content is about of course i want to know about the

  • 1:27:25

conflict that he has with one of the top rappers that he has beef with true how can i not ask you're not guys about

  • 1:27:32

you're not they're making music true you're not saying one wrong thing right you are not saying one wrong thing what

  • 1:27:38

i'm saying is i find it somewhat disturbing that somebody that is outside of what

  • 1:27:45

these boys endure on a day-to-day basis interviewing them and monetizing it for

  • 1:27:51

your own personal gain when these kids are dying this is them and their families trauma that you guys are

  • 1:27:57

    monetizing to turn a [ __ ] profit and you're calling it journalism that's not [ __ ] journalism they're gaining from

  • 1:28:02

it as well no they're not yes promoting his music there's a reason why these dudes in

  • 1:28:08

particular you got ruga and fbg cash on the screen they both fly to los angeles

  • 1:28:13

to do an interview with me because it's promoting their career and their business that they're building for themselves the fact that fpg cash got

  • 1:28:20

into this random ass situation where some his his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend shot him or whatever the [ __ ]

  • 1:28:25

it was what does that have to do with anything about some [ __ ]

  • 1:28:31

you just said something yo you and your girlfriend you said you and your i was just saying that to make

  • 1:28:37

it clear that he didn't die over some gang [ __ ] like it's not like he got killed by a rival gang member that he talked about in my interview he got into

  • 1:28:42

some totally separate [ __ ] listen you and your you and your fiance were gonna you said you guys got proposed to by

  • 1:28:49

somebody to do content right you turned it down right why'd you turn it down because we ultimately decided that we

  • 1:28:55

could do a fine job on our own you found black friends growing up no time out you found another way to monetize your

  • 1:29:02

content and cut them out right you didn't need them right they need you and no you just

  • 1:29:16

two sentences ago my last question had videos of millions of views before anybody interviewed i don't care you

  • 1:29:22

just said that they profited and you profited that's what you said it's a cultural relationship they don't know

  • 1:29:27

enough it's like me taking a 17 year old girl this is a grown man he just did like seven years in prison before he did

  • 1:29:34

this interview how can you just treat him like a child and say he doesn't know enough because mentally he's going on

  • 1:29:39

songs bragging about his [ __ ] killings that means he doesn't know like an exaggeration i don't know that he

  • 1:29:44

bragged about killing anyone you'd probably be in prison if that was the case because he's raps about street [ __ ] right

  • 1:29:50

what i'm saying is this he keep a lot of this yeah he does everybody that's grown ain't grown mentally you agree with that

  • 1:29:57

or no so you think i should do like some sort of i would love to use evaluation should i give them like a quiz where

  • 1:30:02

they have to i have to prove that their iq is high enough yeah i think you should be doing that no but you don't have to do that what i'm asking you is

  • 1:30:08

do you agree with me yes or no that every grown person and age is not necessarily the sharpest knife in a

  • 1:30:15

drawer mentally do i agree that there's a range of intelligence yeah this guy works for sure okay cool are there smartphones

  • 1:30:22

some people of course hey but for him to have a problem with what i did up there yo he ain't

  • 1:30:28

answering a [ __ ] thing smart people in there dumb people this is easy all right cool so some some

  • 1:30:33

people would you agree also are more easily manipulated than others sure yeah cool okay so in them doing this

  • 1:30:42

they're coming on your platform because your platform is huge okay right so do

  • 1:30:48

you agree that them coming on your platform you said it already that it has a benefit for them as well as you of

  • 1:30:53

course so do you also think that you are monetizing this black beef trauma [ __ ]

  • 1:30:59

that these boys are going through i mean incidentally yes i am monetizing it because when we make content on

  • 1:31:05

youtube it's monetized by default but that being said this is content that the people clearly wanted to see you see the

  • 1:31:11

view counts these guys are popular people want to hear from them there's tons of other platforms interviewing them so that's your rule if people want

  • 1:31:17

to see it i'm putting it out it don't matter about it but i mean i like this music you realize i listen

  • 1:31:22

to drill music right so these people are people i'm genuinely interested in meeting and having conversations with

  • 1:31:28

and then i put it online hold up hold on hold on hey hey hey hey hey hey wait wait wait wait because i say it

  • 1:31:33

all the time here about how that's not a fan that's not a fan no i actually listen to

  • 1:31:38

it like actually that is the music i like the most in the world but same but you finished your

  • 1:31:44

your behavior and your train of thought isn't aligned with

  • 1:31:49

the the uh well-being of these people you're just listening to songs let me give you you don't really give

  • 1:31:57

a [ __ ] about away of these people why that's such an extreme leap for you no it's true wait stop wait stop well let

  • 1:32:03

me read some of you guys yeah these are people i interviewed and then continue reacts to fbg ducks mom you putting moms

  • 1:32:12

in this [ __ ] she dissed them what the [ __ ] business is that of yours

  • 1:32:17

youtuber she's a whole personality out here everybody knows her this guy's going to even talk she is i'm going to give you an example like you said you

  • 1:32:23

listen to drew they all know that that's the narrative about me that that's all i listen to not true but that's the narrative okay we sat down with

  • 1:32:30

an artist from the south i'm not even going to say his name folks who are familiar with him know who

  • 1:32:37

he's beefing with he's been beefing with you know what i'm talking about i do yeah not once did we ask him anything

  • 1:32:44

about that nope had an entire amazing interview had an amazing had an amazing interview

  • 1:32:51

you got a cookie cookie did not ask him about that one time at

  • 1:32:57

all right because we we're not trying to cuz you are shed light on that we're not trying to

  • 1:33:02

promote promoting you are still an artist you got there's more to you too than that right we don't need to sit

  • 1:33:07

there and click bait that and that's the problem we we delved into who this kid is as a person what he grew up and what

  • 1:33:14

he endured in growing up y'all don't give a [ __ ] y'all care about what the people are gonna go to immediately what

  • 1:33:21

can we put out here to get clicks [ __ ] what happens because of this [ __ ] if anything comes back after this and

  • 1:33:28

this [ __ ] is detrimental to these boys evidently what they [ __ ] dying and y'all could give two [ __ ] about it

  • 1:33:33

because y'all turning a penny another weed is gonna grow right where

  • 1:33:39

that one grew that's my only way he dies it's gonna be another [ __ ] drill rapper to come take his place that we're

  • 1:33:44

gonna interview and monetize what's wrong with that and it is my issue i ain't seen one bmx biker [ __ ] up there

  • 1:33:50

yet they are they left the bmx [ __ ] came to him no jumpers

  • 1:33:56

you can find tons of bmx content then we make the incident where's the bmx [ __ ] that died where you went to his mom and

  • 1:34:01

    said yo this [ __ ] died he got shot in the [ __ ] head his mom said [ __ ] these [ __ ] over where's that from the [ __ ]

  • 1:34:07

you [ __ ] with your little biker [ __ ] aware of any sort of situation like that with bmx riders i know and guess what i don't see none

  • 1:34:13

of these bmx shits with no six and seven hundred thousand views neither yeah so it's more money in the [ __ ] trauma

  • 1:34:20

i mean i interview rappers that i like and then i ask them about

  • 1:34:25

problems that they have with other rappers that they are open about on records because wow because i'm

  • 1:34:30

interested in because i know that the fans are interested because what's with y'all uh the idea that

  • 1:34:36

what's wrong with that's i'm basically just describing youtube what do you interview people you ask them about the

  • 1:34:41

[ __ ] that people are actually interested in you guys trying to somehow find a way to make this this evil deed

  • 1:34:48

i'm asking about your fascination with black people i'll give you that this is an impressive story adding this weird narrative to what i'm

  • 1:34:55

doing that i don't think is accurate at all adam is up there it's not us we're reading your [ __ ] but you're creating

  • 1:35:00

this narrative that i'm just doing this because that's like i don't know because i want to see these people no

  • 1:35:06

    no

  • 1:35:11

about it because it's important to them and then i ask them about it in interviews because it's important to

  • 1:35:16

them and people let me let me just let me ask you a question do you think like like the example i gave you do you think you could sit down with one of these

  • 1:35:22

artists interview them about them right without the drama [ __ ] i do that all the

  • 1:35:28

time and a lot of people just don't say [ __ ] you'll ask them so what was this line in this song was that about someone

  • 1:35:33

so that's not that's not what i said when he said no that's not what i said i'm answering your question can i do an

  • 1:35:40

interview in which i don't ask them anything interesting yes of course i think that's sub-optimal

  • 1:35:46

answers all the [ __ ] that the fans want to know why you can't find something interesting without that without death yeah i think

  • 1:35:53

that's very interesting why does it have to go to death you're just assuming that everyone's just dying [Music]

  • 1:35:58

most rappers who beef with each other do not die at the end of the beef it's just [ __ ] words it's wrapped that's where

  • 1:36:04

you see and that that's the disconnect these [ __ ] are really dying this ain't just rabbit

  • 1:36:21

did not die and and today you're right i got him you're right tupac and biggie died right

  • 1:36:28

today what percentage of these boys are [ __ ] dying in comparison to 96 and 97. i mean that would be very hard for

  • 1:36:35

me to come no it's not

  • 1:36:49

what are you talking about you named tupac and biggie from our generation these [ __ ] kids are keeping the score

  • 1:36:55

on their album covers of [ __ ] that they are killing and that's fascinating too you did that vaughn did that for the

  • 1:37:00

record vaughan had album cover with his dead enemies on the cover the scores was at the top look at the level on james

  • 1:37:07

i don't like that you white [ __ ] get to put your hands up like this like they're talking about some [ __ ] that i never i don't like that they get to do

  • 1:37:13

that which means that's not true that's the main reason why i've seen kingman's album covers up listening sounds a million times

  • 1:38:00

is your favorite move music well i never seen this tape before and i'm not even sure it's not on [ __ ] spotify again i

  • 1:38:07

was on your side of this album

  • 1:38:12

no you know have you heard soccer though no you are the single okay i've only listened to the albums and the videos on

  • 1:38:17

youtube so apparently that's his biggest record album this is the album

  • 1:38:26

that's a mixtape you said this is your favorite brand of music he walks away throwing his hands in there like i'm not right it's a

  • 1:38:31

mixtape it's not an album it's not on spotify

  • 1:38:40

it's also on the album this thing is right now

  • 1:38:46

again with the narrative he's trying to find some sort of evil narrative about what i'm doing to make it sound more

  • 1:38:52

sinister like when you call me a domestic abuser

  • 1:39:01

this is not a truthful narrative you're putting out the most negative version of me because it helps you in your little

  • 1:39:06

battle that we had earlier and i get that i get that i know how that benefits you

  • 1:39:12

it's not accurate you can't really think that i want these dudes to [ __ ] die right that's like when nobody said that i don't think that's like the fans

  • 1:39:18

nobody said labels want that the art is dead i don't think that at all i don't think that at all but if by

  • 1:39:24

chance one of them died you wouldn't have yeah you you certainly wouldn't cry about the loss of life

  • 1:39:30

problem you wouldn't have a problem interviewing the mamas you wanted it again you wouldn't shed so many tears how can you

  • 1:39:36

say that when i'm going out to florida spending time with x's mom i've tapped in with the families of countless rappers that i've lost throughout the

  • 1:39:43

years i've interviewed the mothers and the family members from whom you interviewed uh i interviewed well

  • 1:39:49

i can't say about some of the ones that are coming out but i've had a lot of like really but you are real conversations with the families of the

  • 1:39:55

people who are doing this that you guys are choosing to characterize as me just profits hearing off of death which is

  • 1:40:00

it's just crazy because it's not true yeah wait hold on let me just go ahead let me ask you a question

  • 1:40:06

is that interview on camera i mean it will be yeah so is it sincere that you went out there with the sole purpose of

  • 1:40:12

interviewing this kid's mom to see how the [ __ ] she's doing or did you go out there because now you're gonna put

  • 1:40:18

interview with blah blah who passed away his mom and you gonna monetize it that's the [ __ ] problem if i went out there

  • 1:40:24

to look stop if i went out there and i wanted to interview kevin samuel's mother to see how this black woman was feeling about the passing of her son i

  • 1:40:31

would do it out of sincerity i wouldn't do it because i'ma put it on a [ __ ] clip if i went if i go and i interview

  • 1:40:37

somebody's mother after they pass i could just have that conversation with them and not ever put it out to the world however i am a podcaster this is

  • 1:40:43

what i do i put in the conversations that i have out there to the world so that other people can feel what i felt

  • 1:40:50

true while i was having those conversations so that in this particular example that we're dreaming up right here so that you donate the proceeds to

  • 1:40:56

the family have a conversation you donate the proceeds to the family you think you need another 10 grand

  • 1:41:02

yeah okay this is what i'm saying what's your favorite album ever parks you're staying in the car

  • 1:41:08

but i just want to address this this is what i do i have conversations with people and then i spread it out to the

  • 1:41:13

world because i think it's important i want to share my art with the world and if i have an intense in-depth

  • 1:41:19

conversation with somebody's mother after they pass why it would seem so selfish for me to

  • 1:41:24

take that and save it for just myself when i want the fans the fans are subscribed because they want to see that

  • 1:41:31

content now am i going to make some amount of money that does not matter to me at all yeah you're good i'm a multi-time

  • 1:41:38

millionaire if i do an interview and make 10 grand what the [ __ ] do i care 10 grand is nothing to me i know i don't

  • 1:41:43

need to leave the house for 10 grand you can't offer you also don't need to exploit black people

  • 1:41:54

doing that content i'm doing it because i think it's important you do

  • 1:42:01

a hundred of those interviews equal what right okay a million [ __ ] dollars and

  • 1:42:07

if i do enough of these [ __ ] up interviews like you have four of them [ __ ] up my owners are [ __ ] up meet the man

  • 1:42:14

that killed king vaughn did y'all [ __ ] read him that's a new story did y'all meet him killer questions

  • 1:42:22

offensive no the title is not offensive the title is the whole thing no it's not offensive at all no it's not it's not

  • 1:42:28

offensive to me the [ __ ] that killed this [ __ ] time out the title is misleading did you [ __ ] sit down with him and meet him and interview him no no

  • 1:42:35

exactly i wasn't even in the video i didn't titled it it's yours you got a lot of slow stab yeah

  • 1:42:47

i don't think there's anything wrong with that title i know you believe that you guys think that's so offensive it's not offensive stop putting words in my

  • 1:42:53

mouth what i said was it's misleading and it is clickbaity to think that you sat down with the killer of [ __ ] um

  • 1:43:00

um dolph and got an interview and that's offensive to the family well he was already locked up i don't think anybody thought that it's offensive to the fans

  • 1:43:07

it's a business she's literally already logged out

  • 1:43:22

he's like you in the goal post movie y'all got a construction companies where y'all pick it up and just move it across the field every [ __ ] point that i've

  • 1:43:29

said to him thus far none of them he has he taken accountability so that's true i apologize for an entire thing that i was

  • 1:43:34

discussing i was about to say outside of that one that being said you guys are trying to convince me that my entire

  • 1:43:40

business is sinister no no no no nobody said that at

  • 1:43:51

again all try to get white sandpaper [ __ ] with me if the [ __ ] that you were saying was actually how you felt about

  • 1:43:56

me i don't run my business the way you do no but not just that i could be putting on my business with you and be bringing something to

  • 1:44:03

your yeah to hold you accountable

  • 1:44:13

i like facing this criticism so i don't mind getting this all out here because i do think it's important conversation for

  • 1:44:18

us to have i also just don't think i did anything wrong so yo though and you know why i've really again i was

  • 1:44:25

giving you a lot of accountability yo no this is what's happening pull up accountability he don't he don't think

  • 1:44:31

that this [ __ ] is nothing because he might not have grown up there we grew up if he was stuck with his little biker

  • 1:44:37

buddies he feel different no we grew up in this again these are our [ __ ] nephews and you saying that drill music is your

  • 1:44:45

biggest genre of music that you listen to today king von is one of the biggest artists in the [ __ ] drill and you to

  • 1:44:51

tell me that you've never seen his album cover is some [ __ ] some random ass mixtape that is not on streaming that's

  • 1:44:56

not random i wasn't listening to you you know what it is

  • 1:45:08

so much more offensive than him putting the score on the album cover so i mean regardless what it is on streaming it is

  • 1:45:14

on stream in this class of course it's all streaming so let me just course this on the stream right here that's apple of course it's on stream you really think

  • 1:45:20

that i would look at that album cover and be able to tell that it says when he brags about it it's like two pixels up

  • 1:45:25

top i'm just letting you know that it is

  • 1:45:44

what's the movie with the white brother and the black brother oh y'all that's y'all y'all twins danny

  • 1:45:50

    devito and [ __ ] artist what's the [ __ ] that's y'all what we're saying i was thinking about a different movie

  • 1:46:01

what our broad point to you is let me you try to use a content example that you might understand

  • 1:46:07

uh and you and even if you want to act like you don't get what we're saying now at some point in your evolution you will

  • 1:46:14

have to come to face with what we're saying no you won't ack got his big break doing what

  • 1:46:21

youtube what on youtube you're referring you weren't shy right because that was not his friend

  • 1:46:28

his first channel he started that channel i didn't ask you about it asking about his first season

  • 1:46:35

was the biggest thing his question was i was doing more numbers

  • 1:46:44

    all right [Laughter]

  • 1:47:01

i know your fiance be wanting to kick your ass while y'all arguing all right i'll answer it for you

  • 1:47:08

many people in the business learned about act through his war and shy rat commentary sure okay

  • 1:47:15

i don't think you know about that when he was actually doing about you found out i'm up you don't give a [ __ ] about that

  • 1:47:21

level of content he's talking about random dreams that wasn't weird that wasn't where i was in my life right i'm not talking about me

  • 1:47:26

this is this is i'm i'm excluded from this i learned about this everyday struggle because i had to deal with it because

  • 1:47:33

vic mensah got stuck with them no no see and that's your problem why because that was public you know how many [ __ ]

  • 1:47:39

privately i had to deal with because ack was a novice at the time and much

  • 1:47:45

like you didn't see nothing wrong with his war and shy rat coverage until many people personally now that he was

  • 1:47:50

growing and getting big had to say what big mensa said yo that was our cousin that was our nephew that was our uncle

  • 1:47:57

that was our family that you who don't know [ __ ] about [ __ ] [ __ ] dying every day getting locked up you don't know

  • 1:48:02

    [ __ ] about [ __ ] you really think you're a [ __ ] and you are just smashing because that's the

  • 1:48:07

because that's the other part and that's the side that you're going on you're not from this shot that you're all not seeing yo you're not from this side

  • 1:48:13

where vic from where you smack [ __ ] up hey you can make a big mental joke all you want but you're not

  • 1:48:19

from this side and you were reporting on something without the information without knowing the hurt that you have

  • 1:48:24

any sensitivity much like you and you blame the warranty iraq on me

  • 1:48:31

i'm defensive a little bit but i'm not academics much like you was resistant to that

  • 1:48:37

he didn't really understand it until he had to grow some more

  • 1:48:43

then it was like uh i can find a different way to do my

  • 1:48:48

job and he does that he does that today he don't touch nothing like nothing near

  • 1:48:53

it that was a moment he was all over the country he was all over the [ __ ] you know fpg

  • 1:48:59

cash this exact thing that we're talking about he does videos about all these artists he just doesn't talk about the

  • 1:49:04

the the 15th most popular dude in otf who got into a shootout with so-and-so

  • 1:49:09

so then he's not doing that anymore well he's he's raised the level of who he'll talk about because he got so big that

  • 1:49:15

all of a sudden what no act noted at some point at some point i want to talk to these [ __ ] no at some point i might

  • 1:49:21

bump into i might bump into one of these [ __ ] and i want to talk to them i cannot cover them there's a responsibility that i covered them from

  • 1:49:27

my mother's basement now that i'm a multi-millionaire and i'm out here and i have a bigger a bigger obligation and

  • 1:49:32

responsibility to culture i think i don't think that you seem to be ignoring that party was a little too satirical

  • 1:49:38

with some of the way that he spoke about chicago in the war in chiraq but i think if he had like toned it down like 20

  • 1:49:44

percent then nobody would be able to say it yeah you're making me because he was still just talking about [ __ ] that people wanted to know about that was

  • 1:49:50

going on in the streets there's a massive appetite for that sort of content right which means people are profiting off of

  • 1:49:57

black death why do so many people want to hear about it i feel like that's uh you know i get

  • 1:50:03

it and i i want to hear about it too so it's a million people that watch am i gonna have to put my headphones on here

  • 1:50:08

i'm sorry the person you were trying to read no answer god damn it we got action come on give it to me i think it changed

  • 1:50:14

his number they're all green for me right now i'm sorry the person you were trying to text this [ __ ] get over here

  • 1:50:21

y'all keep talking nah i just think that people profiting off those agreements that's disgusting i

  • 1:50:27

just i just i don't like that and especially people that are not of and from the culture because you have a

  • 1:50:33

disconnect in how you're going to report it this is my thing you too big to be doing this

  • 1:50:38

low-level bottom feeder [ __ ] did you have a finalist for this you probably won't let it be my final statement but this is important no

  • 1:50:44

hip-hop is the music of the streets true right therefore if we're going to interview

  • 1:50:50

popular rappers some significant percentage of them are going to be associated with gangs or

  • 1:50:56

have been involved with the streets involved in street situations or whatever you basically like have to touch on that

  • 1:51:02

because of the fact that they rap about it no they don't no you don't so they get around we don't know but it's something

  • 1:51:08

we know we need to sort of don't we don't we don't that's fun and then you guys

  • 1:51:14

can name it i also don't interview people you also know we're gonna interview rappers who have like three videos no you don't i got it

  • 1:51:20

no you don't know you know i want them because they're interested no you want them because you're going to put that [ __ ] on there

  • 1:51:27

what's my man name we interviewed from houston which what do it from music we interviewed him we asked him no gang

  • 1:51:34

[ __ ] no beef [ __ ] no nothing we talked about him as an individual we interviewed the other dude that's

  • 1:51:39

beefing yeah we asked him [ __ ] about and then he have active beefs that we could have put up as click baits to talk about

  • 1:51:46

on youtube we don't go there we talk about these young black boys in their life and their upbringing and where they

  • 1:51:52

plan to go in their trajectory because we give a [ __ ] i've been in yeah i care about these people now when they leave

  • 1:51:58

here and when they go no please shut the [ __ ] up and they go to academics and act says hey such-and-such are shooting at

  • 1:52:04

you and such as that what are you gonna do about the beef and then that [ __ ] goes to like one million views in a couple seconds i say go act

  • 1:52:11

i i wouldn't have done that never i'd have never done that that's not my business model it's not how i run things

  • 1:52:16

that's not how i don't even want to speak to [ __ ] about that type [ __ ] i believe in karma and energy what if one of these [ __ ] options watching now

  • 1:52:22

they got a problem oh you asked that question i'm on you now like it get different and y'all are just really uh

  • 1:52:29

it's a lot of naivety with y'all because it's convenient no it's not they

  • 1:52:36

yo i've lost cousins to gun violence i got friends doing life in jail they can't attest to that they never got

  • 1:52:43

them phone calls with [ __ ] doing life sneaking the phone at two o'clock in the morning and all that goofy [ __ ] to talk to you so it's a it's

  • 1:52:50

a disconnect it's a disconnect there where they don't know the importance of what they reporting and they don't know how severe

  • 1:52:57

that [ __ ] gets what they reported they don't understand that academics wasn't off the porch no disrespect to him he

  • 1:53:02

don't know none of that [ __ ] that [ __ ] disrespect but yeah he wasn't either he was running

  • 1:53:08

a [ __ ] bmx at 17 when i was riding around a hundred thousand dollar cars at seven but it

  • 1:53:13

took act he got that everyday struggle job you bring it up every day show he gets that job and now i'm around people

  • 1:53:19

i'm no longer in my basement i can't be in my basement number one i might potentially i have to hear about how

  • 1:53:25

people feel about my action and that is what makes you act differently yeah what

  • 1:53:30

makes you i can put it on myself i ain't got to talk about myself

  • 1:53:35

    2010 11 12 twitter wildin walling i remember i followed you

  • 1:53:41

back then wow you liked that [ __ ] are you fascinated with that [ __ ] right him at some point what happened i don't know i don't know

  • 1:53:47

he stopped he grew up yeah he grew after this you know how many you know how many people hit me and say yo i'm you used to give it up back on

  • 1:53:54

twitter i'm like yeah but you know what for what no then you start to realize

  • 1:53:59

like i've had conversations with artists themselves that was like yo dawg like [ __ ] looking for you at

  • 1:54:05

one point it's a ice storm you don't even know that let me take it from ice ice is

  • 1:54:10

popular in this one spot ice is in this spot often the [ __ ] get word the ice goes to this

  • 1:54:16

spot frequently you know what now they got vans riding by they're like yo y'all know ice ice in there hitting

  • 1:54:22

there right now here you are that's my man he in there yeah and [ __ ] just calling like yo such a such is out here asking if you coming tonight

  • 1:54:29

nine coming in who asking oh [ __ ] that changes you

  • 1:54:35

yeah that changes y'all are never faced with that so y'all could keep this [ __ ] reporting cause

  • 1:54:40

y'all never come eye to eye with that and that's unfair what are you talking about i interviewed both sides of this

  • 1:54:46

whole gang war in chicago and [Music]

  • 1:54:58

that you're talking about and they don't feel like i'm doing anything

  • 1:55:04

out here i feel that i'm doing something way over the line but they're not the ones who feel that way right yo no this

  • 1:55:09

is what happens and i'm outside you're objectively reporting right you're giving them an opportunity to get both

  • 1:55:15

of their sides out trying to but in the same token you are perpetuating this [ __ ] and you are instigating it because

  • 1:55:21

now once black boy will [ __ ] die once he go up there the next one can't wait to get up there good night i gotta respond to this exactly okay this is

  • 1:55:27

weird and the fact that you're giving me the platform to respond to him i'm not mad at you she would get really ill now

  • 1:55:33

he's so up that i just hired more black people to do this

  • 1:55:38

i don't even have to do this i'm going to go golf i don't golf but i'm going to go

  • 1:55:52

    300 million venture and at 50 he's 38 now at 50 i'll be a [ __ ] mogul and

  • 1:55:59

media off of this [ __ ] [ __ ] come on adam come on man come on

  • 1:56:04

come on i've never heard such cynicism in my life that i'm making content for

  • 1:56:10

hip-hop fans you guys know that conflict is the [ __ ] heart

  • 1:56:16

    i don't know i don't know that's not she's cool you hear him that's [ __ ] wrong

  • 1:56:23

i don't want to hear about hey and you're acting like it's [ __ ] devilish and you know i'm right and he walks away

  • 1:56:30

i love you dawg i love you dawg i love you dawg i ain't gonna hold you i love you dawg yo come

  • 1:56:35

on it's just us that's not true you are saying the heart of hip hop is conflict that's a [ __ ]

  • 1:56:43

the most memorable [ __ ] from our life watching hip-hop and observing it was dudes getting into it with each other

  • 1:56:49

because it's a confrontational view in which being the best is prized

  • 1:56:54

above everything else so of course there's conflict there's conversations to be had about who dissed each other in

  • 1:57:00

songs who's doper they are conversations you know they are no listen now does that come but do those sometimes descend

  • 1:57:06

to the point where you guys end up getting the critical

  • 1:57:12

men thrive on competitions no it's not no it's not driving competition that's why sports is so big because we thrive

  • 1:57:18

on competition rappers are beefing about who is the better rapper that's still cool

  • 1:57:25

in the sense of like they're arguing over who has the better bars okay maybe more related let's see here's the jumping about like early 90s here's the

  • 1:57:31

difference we talked about today they're not arguing over who's the better rapper is you killed my cousin right no my

  • 1:57:36

brother my brother and now i'm coming for you and your people and your whole family right these are see here's the

  • 1:57:42

thing that everybody forgets a boy mother got murdered last night rappers talking about street [ __ ] these are

  • 1:57:48

street [ __ ] that just don't happen to rap yes because they saw a financial come up in the rap

  • 1:57:53

boy's mother just got murdered at her son's grave site on the anniversary she was visiting her [ __ ] son

  • 1:58:00

and you will be might be the guy that'll go interview that [ __ ] and put it on your screen and make [ __ ] money

  • 1:58:06

now we know you're struggling because you're making up scenarios that are not real that i haven't even done and saying you would probably do it i didn't say

  • 1:58:12

you did it i would not do that he said it wouldn't be what's wrong why wouldn't you do it to interview a random dude's mom got killed at there no

  • 1:58:18

no no no i stick to things that i have actually done or at least even come close to doing before you try to throw some [ __ ] on me that's totally made up

  • 1:58:25

fbg cash reacts to fbg duck's mom saying his friends so let me explain this to

  • 1:58:30

you guys since you apparently think it's something other than what it is fbg's duck's mother became a youtuber after

  • 1:58:36

his passing because she wanted to continue to spread the his message whatever she wanted to be able to answer

  • 1:58:41

to the people who are criticizing him sometimes she might be a little extra with it people criticize her

  • 1:58:47

i think for the most part though i respect the fact that she's getting in there and actually speaking about how [ __ ] up all this violence is she at

  • 1:58:53

one point said all of fbg duck's friends didn't do [ __ ] for him or didn't keep it real

  • 1:58:58

and fpg cash was like the first person that comes to people's mind like who she's talking about so me as a rap fan i

  • 1:59:05

wanted to know how he felt about it and to his credit he was very polite about it obviously it would be very

  • 1:59:10

gross to say anything negative about somebody's mom who passed away he kept it very civil even though i kind of got

  • 1:59:17

the clue that maybe you know he felt some type of way that he wasn't saying i felt like it was an important conversation to have so we clipped it

  • 1:59:23

let me think it was i think it was meaningful for me some percentage of people let me ask you let me ask you a quick question that's your defense everybody cash is a rapper correct

  • 1:59:30

was a rapper oh yes yes yes yes russell passed away yes so look

  • 1:59:35

hold up hold on convince me that this is my fault no no no i said that at all

  • 1:59:43

is it possible to have an interview with him just about rap without bringing up

  • 1:59:49

duck's mom or any of that is it possible yeah sure would it be optimal no of course you want to ask him

  • 1:59:55

about all the interesting stuff for the stuff that had already been more monetization stuff that has been viral about why do you have to go monetization

  • 2:00:02

because that audience wants to see it i run a business that is about making the content that my audience wants to see

  • 2:00:09

and that i think that they'll be interested in there it had been viral his mom's saying this about his friend

  • 2:00:15

of course i want to ask him about it you run a business that you said your audience wants to see certain [ __ ] which

  • 2:00:21

means in business everybody's in business to turn a profit that is the i'm in business today everybody just

  • 2:00:27

entertain these subscribers that i've acquired over the years because i think it's important to do a friend no time to do it for 100 no you wouldn't yes what

  • 2:00:34

let me tell you why you would do it for free if they turned off the youtube ads i was still curious you could turn off the monetization would you do it no

  • 2:00:39

because that would make your videos not spread the algorithm doesn't recognize content well it's not something listen

  • 2:00:44

listen listen no no every business my business your business joe's business every person that goes into business you

  • 2:00:50

all got to pay the bills you have a business if you look up the definition of business it is to become profitable that is the

  • 2:00:56

definition of business right cool so for you to keep saying yo i have an audience

  • 2:01:02

that wants to see x y and z means that you built your business platform off of

  • 2:01:08

nigerosity and black death your audience is now based on that

  • 2:01:14

and you are feeding them this negative [ __ ] about young black boys dying you got my [ __ ] trump and you are talking

  • 2:01:20

about yo me and my wife now are looking at a two hundred thousand dollar wedding when these black parents can't [ __ ]

  • 2:01:25

bury their kids come on dog stop stop i mean i respect the tenacity with what you're trying to

  • 2:01:31

put this narrative those are facts bro hey look at the

  • 2:01:38

camera and say hey these dudes got a point no no no i don't know i'm trying to monetize off all this [ __ ] just saying

  • 2:01:45

yeah and i'm not mad at that youtube videos they they're monetized monetization

  • 2:01:50

and then you say i'm a multi-millionaire teacher no money ain't good money but i got 300 of these when a rapper dies and

  • 2:01:56

you have a conversation about them on the podcast do you turn the ads off i don't have it we don't have

  • 2:02:01

    conversations about that

  • 2:02:11

don't make me expose the difference in what you're doing and what i'm doing it's not the same so you don't have to get into this pod

  • 2:02:25

but we're going to talk about it and we're possibly in more depth but it's still we're talking about you guys about coming in you do the exact same thing

  • 2:02:33

harrison pan and zoom in on him that's not what we do zoom in that's not

  • 2:02:39

true zoom in on him we don't those veneers no

  • 2:02:44

all right i got a check show this thing with [ __ ] veneers you know why he [ __ ] tries to wiggle out of

  • 2:02:50

this [ __ ] those veneers yeah all of them every one of them ever all

  • 2:02:56

this tope and this somebody just saw me like joe looks a lot better since they got those teeth in i'm like you got tv yeah every

  • 2:03:02

lat every last second they just told me not to tell the price to the peasant i can't but the whole

  • 2:03:08

children look good yeah what i'm saying is this i don't what that would do well somebody passes away

  • 2:03:15

here we send our condolences to their families fans loved ones and we keep it pushing and play a sad

  • 2:03:21

song we talk about how [ __ ] up it is that these young kids are dying that's our

  • 2:03:41

hey let me give you a little tidbit yeah sometimes i know who killed these [ __ ] no look read the next one pgf nook calls

  • 2:03:49

little jay gay and disses fbg duck from beyond the grave adam 20 to adam

  • 2:04:08

[ __ ] that the rappers that we cover i know going through what you're talking about turning a money is so irrelevant

  • 2:04:15

it's not irrelevant i got more than enough money

  • 2:04:22

i care about some [ __ ] video with 85 000 views cause your [ __ ] bmx bikers ain't getting it done no no but where

  • 2:04:28

the [ __ ] is the biker because 85 000 could turn into one million where's your little huffy [ __ ] no

  • 2:04:34

i assure you that a news video that has 85 000 in its first month is not going to go to a million all right could go to

  • 2:04:39

half a million over a year it gets all the views in like the first day you know which ones will go to a million what

  • 2:04:45

meet me young dolph's killer take that one all right so listen off a million dollar of a million views there's a

  • 2:04:51

monetary value attached to that every million views there's a monetary value attached to that because you keep

  • 2:04:58

    minimalizing it saying i don't need 10 grand i don't need 10 grand i don't need 10 grand but 10 grand

  • 2:05:03

exponentially turns into millions of [ __ ] dollars i'm just saying i'm much more curious he can't stay with his

  • 2:05:09

biker dude who's trying to get a million dollars what they want and talking about the stuff that they want to hear about

  • 2:05:15

why because you love your audience or because that's how you make your money so i have a business the whole reason why i'm sitting here but you had a

  • 2:05:20

business it was to come up and we didn't do that and your business model shifted why did it shift because it was more

  • 2:05:26

    modern day that primarily

  • 2:05:32

say it with us in unison i got rich doing this i got written doing this

  • 2:05:38

doing this just kill the [ __ ] bees i think you think you're making a better point than you actually no the big point

  • 2:05:44

has been made you gotta see it we clipping this

  • 2:05:56

come on yo and again i'm the guy that yo hey no

  • 2:06:02

all money ain't good let me tell you i know everything he's sitting here saying is a lie what he's not a lie he's not lying let me

  • 2:06:09

tell you let me kind of forgive you you know i have not lied about it i don't think he's reporting this conversation

  • 2:06:28

when he goes this is how i know he lying adam 22

  • 2:06:34

who's in new york for his biker committee the biker meetup at the jacob jabba so wherever the [ __ ] this [ __ ] is

  • 2:06:56

got the six 6-9 licensed gun carrier [ __ ] with them uh-huh why

  • 2:07:02

because i'm moving smart i've seen a lot of bad [ __ ] happen to a lot of people in similar positions to me and i don't want my kid to be like

  • 2:07:09

what bad is happening with somebody in a similar position as you oh let me hear it well i mean all the rappers are kind of you're not a regular position

  • 2:07:16

    i'm not a celebrity in the hip-hop space [ __ ]

  • 2:07:22

that's a gotcha you're not a rapper i don't need to be a rapper you're not going to compare another robert you're in a fight

  • 2:07:28

    for 20 years on a [ __ ] bmx bike somewhere shut the [ __ ] up

  • 2:07:53

[ __ ] with a licensed gun on him in new york you know what explain this because you're living fast because i can't carry

  • 2:07:59

a gun legally in new york city but i can los angeles because i want to protect myself from

  • 2:08:06

what from what [Music] but you're in new york i'm asking you

  • 2:08:12

how tall you are oh six three how much how much weight forty two thirty five

  • 2:08:18

yeah you can't protect yourself i mean not with my hands no

  • 2:08:23

i'm not gonna box the chopper no erickson i'm not a [ __ ] kickboxer hey rob

  • 2:08:29

rob time stamp time can't reach me right back everybody in the back just give me the

  • 2:08:35

time stamps from all of it [ __ ]

  • 2:08:41

good boy adam yo just put yeah give me your content tv who exactly i give you the most prolific

  • 2:08:48

chicago rap interview ever he got sprayed up they took him out recipes rest in peace i'm not familiar with that

  • 2:08:54

yeah no he's black zach tv yeah i can't believe you don't know i was huge he was well you didn't

  • 2:09:00

flip that one up a long time ago we might have done videos about it we didn't yeah i didn't

  • 2:09:05

see the clips on that one well you didn't search zach tv no jumper but i don't think we talked about it at the time that was when i was like just doing

  • 2:09:12

interviews what's your favorite album man

  • 2:09:19

[Laughter] that's how we're switching it up

  • 2:09:25

oh no i was thinking about that what if they asked me my top five what's your favorite

  • 2:09:40

[Music] i love my new grim reaper persona you've

  • 2:09:46

decided to give me oh adam these are questions i have been dying to ask you for real

  • 2:09:52

honestly damn that keeps you up at night no no but these are questions i've been

  • 2:09:58

dying to ask you we got any more waters yeah they got a fridge full of water kind of ran through the essentials i

  • 2:10:04

know thirsty's gonna go apart [ __ ] blab that black the yellow do that

  • 2:10:09

that that black death it'll get it get your parchment

  • 2:10:22

so your favorite album i'm pouring up he got three waitresses

  • 2:10:28

we're pouring up i know you've seen rappers do this

  • 2:10:34

people you said people trust our bottles he said people in the same space that they

  • 2:10:40

wanted to wrap these [ __ ] on crazy wait what no watch your back

  • 2:10:46

one part all of it you said one of your corey asked you what one of your concealed

  • 2:10:52

[ __ ] has been killed and you name one guy right and he didn't click he seems like

  • 2:10:59

a anyway but but then you said that you all walking around similar to a rapper

  • 2:11:05

how many rappers have been killed out in the streets in the last three years if you had to guess a fuckload 100

  • 2:11:12

i don't know so how the [ __ ] do you compare yourself and what you do to them if you can name only one black other

  • 2:11:18

dude in your space that got murdered but you could tell me i shouldn't be confused

  • 2:11:24

because maybe a rapper is in more danger you said you're in danger equivalent at

  • 2:11:29

the same level as the rapper i wouldn't say it's necessarily exactly the same but i'm certainly in a similar it's not

  • 2:11:34

even close a similar situation but i like how that therefore means that i shouldn't carry a gun i shouldn't have

  • 2:11:39

secured i shouldn't protect myself that is not what we said that's not what nobody is exactly nobody said that you should not do that then what are you

  • 2:11:44

what are you doing myself to someone else you are not saying when i compare myself that i am

  • 2:11:49

in the exact same situation that's why it's a comparison i know i'm in a situation that has some similarities

  • 2:11:57

it doesn't yes it does i am a celebrity within the hip-hop space just like anybody anybody here

  • 2:12:04

realistically and so i take my my security and my safety very seriously a lot of the

  • 2:12:10

rappers that we're talking about are people who would still be with us if they had taken their security a bit more

  • 2:12:16

seriously true i don't want to go out the same way all right so you are saying that you're a celebrity in a hip-hop space well unfortunately which that's

  • 2:12:23

not unfortunate because you've made millions of dollars doing this it's not unfortunate you've made millions of dollars doing it

  • 2:12:28

now i got into that position by making the content that i wanted to make and i became a millionaire but it wasn't like

  • 2:12:34

oh i'm gonna get rich off doing this contest nobody said that at all so long making so

  • 2:12:39

little cranking out interviews doing five [ __ ] interviews a week making nothing what's the last song you

  • 2:12:44

listened to before you got here i think we listened to like the first five songs of the pgf nook album that

  • 2:12:52

came out a couple weeks ago what's gonna happen what's on the album cover i think it might be a picture of his face something

  • 2:12:57

along those lines that was my first time listening to it what i'm saying is this

  • 2:13:03

you are recognizing by you having a big armed security guard that there is

  • 2:13:08

danger in hip-hop yes you are clearly consciously not just accepting that but

  • 2:13:13

with what you are putting into the universe i may need protection that is it well that is i may need to be

  • 2:13:19

protected somebody somewhere clear cohen is in a hip-hop space and leo cohen is 10 times more successful than [ __ ]

  • 2:13:27

adam 22. he's not walking around new york city with a [ __ ] six nine arm guard kill shot i've uh spent some time

  • 2:13:34

with lyra cohen's son and i've spent some time in the presence of lyrical and i've

  • 2:13:39

absolutely seen him with security [ __ ] uh in certain events who's the dude from 10k projects uh elliott i see

  • 2:13:45

i go to his office had a meeting with him a couple years ago boom he's got a security guard armed giant dude sitting outside his office hey check this out

  • 2:13:52

rapper in hip-hop presents everything you can see him sitting outside playing a [ __ ] flute by yourself

  • 2:13:58

wait what i said andre 3000 rapper celebrities diamond actor multi diamond

  • 2:14:07

accolades you can imagine he's not walking around with it's just security and that's cool and outside

  • 2:14:14

in new york i said you're playing the flute outside playing the flute by himself

  • 2:14:20

i got i got a picture of frank ocean at the coffee shop on a bicycle just chilling my cousin caught him hey look

  • 2:14:25

at this [ __ ] no security no firearm to be fair i'm walking around la i was just i stayed in

  • 2:14:31

manhattan a couple of months ago and i'm walking around central park and doing god knows what with my family

  • 2:14:37

no security not worried about it i'm on this bmx trip and we're literally riding around in all of the hoods in brooklyn

  • 2:14:43

and queens so i figured a security guard more exploitation more exploitation including the

  • 2:14:49

handrails yes yes grind down that rail and exploit the

  • 2:14:56

[ __ ] out of it what is your favorite album we're trying to find out oh it's just

  • 2:15:01

the most boring conversation because it's like it's a million albums that you already [ __ ] love dude like what's your fault i'm gonna say like

  • 2:15:08

like albums that i go back to the most in hip-hop today i'm gonna have to say

  • 2:15:14

probably illmatic is like number one maybe the blueprint would be number two

  • 2:15:21

although all those early j albums i kind of just periodically go back to i could say the same thing about like all the

  • 2:15:26

early mob deep albums cam i just listened to like you know if i'm if i'm gonna go back to some classic

  • 2:15:32

[ __ ] cam has like a couple of albums that i could still just listen to the whole way through that i love

  • 2:15:38

you know there's a bunch of different stuff there and different vibes you know now i got a kid for some reason there's a lot more de la soul on a tribe called

  • 2:15:45

quest i feel like that's like a good vibe for a kid a little bit more playful let me ask you a question all the

  • 2:15:51

classics from that time period i'm glad you said that because you're part of hip-hop culture

  • 2:15:57

right when is the last time that you've interviewed i don't know i'm asking generally um a de la soul

  • 2:16:04

a a nas nah it's pasta noose um any of those guys well i have the game on i

  • 2:16:10

don't know no no no the game is not in there you want me to stroll through my mind the game is not in that quote because you're not old enough no

  • 2:16:30

    black thought

  • 2:16:40

i remember i was at a camera on concert lurking around and back ben baller introduced me to cameron yo this is the

  • 2:16:45

illest interview you guys are doing with him somehow i still have had a hard time converting that to me actually

  • 2:16:51

interviewing him but you know so havoc um i would love to do that that would be like the ultimate de la soul

  • 2:16:56

that would be incredible i would love to do so why your team reached out to them well we interviewed a lot of like

  • 2:17:02

younger rappers that you [ __ ] do sure you [ __ ] dude you just stepped in the [ __ ] right here

  • 2:17:10

that's gonna be the easiest thing in the world i'm sure it's about as easy as you guys it would be easy that [ __ ] was just

  • 2:17:15

fighting for their masters publishing [Music] they got mad [ __ ] that's one that i've

  • 2:17:20

never even thought i know because you ain't giving you a clip that's your audience you're all right your audience my audience wouldn't care

  • 2:17:26

that like no why because you know how to monetize black [ __ ] death as opposed to hip-hop where are your bmx [ __ ]

  • 2:17:35

i have like i think i have the best ghost face interview on youtube ghost is one of my favorite rappers of all time

  • 2:17:40

there's not like a lot of good interviews with him so i'm kind of it's like his best interview because there's not a lot of other real

  • 2:17:45

interviews out there i think it did like 150k still to this day it's like four or five years ago so

  • 2:17:51

yes like i do notice that on youtube in particular the audience does it like an

  • 2:17:56

interview the audience what they don't gravitate they gravitate towards

  • 2:18:02

well it did better than i thought 412 right there all right four years ago four years ago but i find that the is that enough not

  • 2:18:08

enough for you to conduct business with uh humanist right you don't get to you don't get a chance to interview a ghost

  • 2:18:14

face every day right true you know but there's a whole bunch of other legacy acts tell me that well i'm not good i

  • 2:18:20

love i love doing those kind of images no i ain't guest based you could you can pull it from within something

  • 2:18:26

interesting could be about atom 22 where you could grow your business and your company expand the way you want to instead of doing this nasty watercolors

  • 2:18:34

you don't have to it's enough hip-hop artists that he can go find them and not be pushing the negative young deaf [ __ ]

  • 2:18:41

it's more monetization and then it's more profitable to push those you could go find the toddler you want to convince

  • 2:18:48

them so bad that i'm just ruthlessly trying to make money these are the rappers i listen to and i'm interested

  • 2:18:55

in i'm not even if i wasn't interviewing them i'd be watching say cheese interview clips with them i'd be watching other people interview them

  • 2:19:01

this is genuinely what i'm into and the reason why i would ask a question like why why have you and so-and-so been

  • 2:19:07

dissing each other on songs is because i genuinely want to know and i know for a fact that the audience is so interested

  • 2:19:14

that you didn't know what king vaughn's biggest album cover looked like absolutely that's the biggest album

  • 2:19:20

cover it's a completely a relative no it's a mixtape that came out before it was popular for the records but that's the one that got him

  • 2:19:26

and you're accusing me of not knowing about king von because i didn't notice that in the absolute top tiny [ __ ]

  • 2:19:32

corner that it says us versus the ops and as a score the weirdest gotcha and we also just asked you what was your

  • 2:19:39

tops that you listened to and you didn't mention none of them never but those are all like of all time those are classic

  • 2:19:44

albums i go back to i listen to mostly younger rappers newer around you're a parent now and you said that you

  • 2:19:50

listened to de la soul and those guys so i said why didn't you interview them well because i well hey i would love to interview them

  • 2:19:56

as i said but then also on top of that like i said that i listened to it around my kid because i feel like when you're

  • 2:20:02

around a kid there's different energy i play a lot of classic rock around around the white kids you want to play friendly [ __ ] well

  • 2:20:08

my kid is white and i know but uh you know i didn't really have the option of having it i don't think but you know that would

  • 2:20:14

have been funny but go ahead and click that box to listen to the more calmer more uh

  • 2:20:22

[ __ ] around your kids so now you take his black trauma millions and go back and pump up his bmx fund no but how

  • 2:20:28

about dmx i'm not making money off that i mean i make more money off porn and hip-hop than bmx i just love bike riding

  • 2:20:35

i've been into it since i was 12. i know so you take this money that you've made from however you made it and now you're

  • 2:20:41

back to your first love doing no these are all my passions i love i love [ __ ] hoes i love making

  • 2:20:47

rap interviews i love riding bikes i love poker a lot of different interests you know

  • 2:20:52

debating is a big passion my only my only thing i'll say to you and i'll get off this is if you're a fan of these

  • 2:20:59

people you wouldn't treat them that way um or you were trying you would try to find some other way you would you wouldn't

  • 2:21:05

talk about a lot you would honor you would honor them differently you would highlight them differently

  • 2:21:11

regard them differently like nori's show drink champs you watch a lot of podcasts he specifically says yo this platform

  • 2:21:17

only exists for me to give flowers to people that is it nothing else your platform

  • 2:21:23

almost seems to do the exact opposite oh that's awesome but but under the guise of fanfare and i often tell these

  • 2:21:29

gentlemen you're not a fan if you don't if you don't want the best for this person i don't think and how you run not

  • 2:21:35

a fan if you don't want to ask the people the most interesting things that you can ask oh that's not a fan no that

  • 2:21:41

to me is that's my objective is to make the most interesting interview that touches on the most things even if people care about it even if it's

  • 2:21:47

negative of course yeah that's that's horrible bro no it's not you guys all do ladies and gentlemen negativity

  • 2:21:54

all the time and the fact that you think that that's a gotcha is crazy sometimes we no no sometimes we do yeah but when

  • 2:22:00

it's leading to people dying or instigating people's deaths no we do not

  • 2:22:05

yeah if adam and parks have a fight right and

  • 2:22:12

    i interview parks the park's like yo [ __ ] that [ __ ] ass [ __ ] i'ma da da da da da da and i say all right cool i'm

  • 2:22:17

about to use that language you get what i'm saying and then i and now i go and i interview adam and adam says yo [ __ ] him

  • 2:22:23

this is what he did and yo this is why i punched him in the [ __ ] face blah blah blah blah i am sitting there

  • 2:22:28

objectively because i have an audience that wants to hear parks aside and i have an audience that wants to hear

  • 2:22:34

adam's side but now i'm pushing the buttons of both of them and next time they see each other one of them could

  • 2:22:39

end up dead you are saying that yo i have an audience that wants to hear both of their sides and that's why i'm doing

  • 2:22:45

it because i owe it to my audience that's mine and ransom's problem with bladder tv right the fact that you're able to find

  • 2:22:53

an ulterior bro you are not literally anything you are skipping if me and you are how to fight if me and

  • 2:22:58

parks got into a violent altercation i would absolutely expect you guys to talk about in this podcast obviously that's

  • 2:23:05

interesting i'll give you an example i would 100 percent expect me to go on my weekly podcast on those days and have my staff

  • 2:23:12

or my co-host say who's this guy that you're going to fight with and parks is not a shooter and you have

  • 2:23:18

a platform i'm talking about not shot for the record i said you are not a shooter parks is not a shooter so you

  • 2:23:24

are living in environments that are not detrimental to your literal survival i'm

  • 2:23:29

gonna give you an example i'll give you an example and it's it's not almost ever done it's kind of recent

  • 2:23:35

right yeah i feel great about this

  • 2:23:41

trying to get this out because i think we're i don't think that you really know the point that you

  • 2:23:49

freddie gibbs got into recent incidents right we came in here and you can talk about

  • 2:23:55

[ __ ] without having to talk about it in a way where these are huge platforms here things we say on it just by

  • 2:24:02

reporting it it feels like you guys haven't watched my content and you're assuming that i'm literally just interviewing people and and pushing them

  • 2:24:09

to be with each other i haven't watched that you all haven't seen my client

  • 2:24:16

with them never to like insulate the beef i'm not pushing them to make it worse

  • 2:24:22

i'm trying to get to the root of it and trying to push past that why do you care what the root of it is

  • 2:24:28

because i like them you're not going to solve it both sides i'm friends with the beatiest

  • 2:24:46

    [Music]

  • 2:25:03

this dude's nephew and this dude's sister come on you don't give a [ __ ] i'm not saying my content so you're just making scenarios

  • 2:25:12

[Music] due to some gaming and [ __ ] sure but king vong got killed off a completely different rapper

  • 2:25:18

bg duck got killed from your understanding from nothing that came from gang banging he got shot

  • 2:25:25

that is what you just said you just said that just says that he got killed over gang members he did not say that's not

  • 2:25:30

what you said push pause and go rewind okay cause i want to hear you exactly what i said i'm changing the record

  • 2:25:35

because that's very changed he got killed outside a louis vuitton store by a couple of different gang members exactly

  • 2:25:42

i was about to tell you that exactly my point so which means

  • 2:25:47

when we sit down to interview these kids we are instigating real

  • 2:25:52

life beef this ain't rising where nobody gonna get hit this is not

  • 2:25:58

investigating real life beef of black boys this ain't nods this ain't jay-z the

  • 2:26:03

same way the kids beat them yo this is real life [ __ ] and you know that because you knee deep in it i think

  • 2:26:10

that beanie siegel and and jada kiss [ __ ] could have easily became real [ __ ] there was a [ __ ] adam 22 around at

  • 2:26:16

the time the powers that be would have never left exactly let me just throw something out there to kind of draw attention to how

  • 2:26:23

absurd what you're saying is is that you think that rappers should be able to constantly diss each other in music and

  • 2:26:30

that then when interviewers interview them they should completely ignore the contents of their music yes if they

  • 2:26:37

listen i'm gonna answer you answering i'm gonna answer you yes if you know

  • 2:26:43

that this interview could potentially lead to one of these boys

  • 2:26:49

dying more bloodshed potentially if you have an inkling that you think

  • 2:26:54

that these [ __ ] could die from what i interview these boys about you [ __ ] right you're owed to

  • 2:27:00

    humanity

  • 2:27:12

and less on the podcasters who ask them about their lyrics no you are accomplished you're an accomplice

  • 2:27:18

    you are a co-conspirator yes i am a media i i run a media you have a minute i

  • 2:27:24

interview you you're a bmxer no that's one of my passions no you are a journalist you ain't stayed here you play tennis right you're not a

  • 2:27:30

tennis player i don't play today but if you did no then i'm the best at it no if you have a career

  • 2:27:38

but i mean i i love how you think that saying you ride a bmx bike is like no you had a career of it

  • 2:27:49

what i'm saying is this you are a journalist do you believe that journalists have some moral obligation

  • 2:27:54

yes or no yes cool stay there you are now saying that because these

  • 2:28:01

black boys are rapping about killing each other you have no moral obligation they do yeah no i think i i i'm

  • 2:28:08

yeah well i would say that they definitely certainly have a more of a moral talking about you you know this is the thing that always pisses me off when

  • 2:28:15

people hate on the warrants chiraq is that i think bro that you are deflecting let me get this off please answer my

  • 2:28:21

question please i want to talk about this instead so no i think that i know

  • 2:28:28

let me just say this before we did what academics did with the warren shirak was necessary because journalists

  • 2:28:35

in chicago weren't doing their jobs this is the stuff that they should have been reporting on so who so who somebody

  • 2:28:42

had to do it because no one said weren't covering this [ __ ] that they that people want to know about

  • 2:28:47

not everybody wants to know about that yes we know about a huge audience for it i know

  • 2:28:52

and we are some of these people never been off the porch in a [ __ ] life and they living through these boys

  • 2:28:57

killing them in order for you to make this argument you basically have to call all rappers dumb and say that they're not responsible for their own actions

  • 2:29:03

and i don't think that that's really that convincing i asked adam his responsibility and you've yet to

  • 2:29:10

[ __ ] answer you switched and pivoted to journalism you switched and pivoted

  • 2:29:16

to chicago journalism i said but do journalists more obligations i'm saying

  • 2:29:22

that to make the point that i think what i'm doing is not just making money or getting views i think it's important

  • 2:29:29

adam i asked you do journalists have a moral obligation your answer was yes yes and i said to tell the truth to report

  • 2:29:35

on and i said that should be known so what is their moral obligation to tell the truth and to report on

  • 2:29:41

things that they consider that they think should be part of the society

  • 2:29:48

street [ __ ] should stay in the streets if somebody knew something about your family and they broadcasted it to the world they should yo this is something

  • 2:29:55

that should be known that's called journalism i know and there's a moral why are you doing journalism some of your [ __ ] has been reported no no i've

  • 2:30:01

talked about it at length plenty of times no we'll pull it up no no no no i don't watch vlad [ __ ]

  • 2:30:07

    that's your man i'll talk about that i don't mind it i don't know

  • 2:30:13

i don't do that that's what we're saying i don't do that i ask people the questions that i think people want to

  • 2:30:19

hear but you do that yeah yeah so why you don't do that with your [ __ ] well i have

  • 2:30:24

people ask me about it then i answer what do i have to search to pull those clips up adam 22 vlad accusation no no

  • 2:30:30

no no no on no jumper oh no i mean uh i don't know

  • 2:30:36

ladies and gentlemen are you gonna release this on youtube

  • 2:30:51

when you read the comments and they are anti-adam will you take and have balls enough to say maybe i need to look into

  • 2:30:56

    some of this [ __ ] that they're saying

  • 2:31:02

but clearly i i've thought about this plenty and landed at the wrong side this

  • 2:31:07

is my whole thing this is what i've been doing for my whole life for like seven years

  • 2:31:14

vlad released the kevin samuel [ __ ] you thought instinctively in your gut that it was ugly and you still follow this

  • 2:31:20

[ __ ] lead and then i thought about it more and my opinion changed because i thought about it because i realized what

  • 2:31:26

my real uh your real gut speaks what my job is in entertaining my

  • 2:31:32

audience yeah i know this mic is going mike's going faster

  • 2:31:38

ain't the only thing going blasted around here ladies and gentlemen out there wherever

  • 2:31:45

this is released just leave a comment on how you feel about being all the people watch my

  • 2:31:50

content just know that joe doesn't think it should exist because it potentially could one day cause somebody to hurt somebody well

  • 2:31:56

wait stop that stop that stop that i don't feel that way don't don't make blanket statements

  • 2:32:02

that's what i'm getting we i know you're not getting what you're supposed to get but that part has been apparent

  • 2:32:08

i don't have a problem with all no jumper content i do not so and and i didn't say nothing but you know really

  • 2:32:14

attempting to characterize all my content as being about something that could only potentially be

  • 2:32:20

like one percent of the content don't say no no say nothing this is why you'll never get what i'm saying because you

  • 2:32:26

keep talking about content and i keep talking about you or life i make content i'm not talking

  • 2:32:32

about content i'm talking about i think you are i'm not literally like that's what these videos and talking about that

  • 2:32:37

is our disconnect no you think this is a content conversation and it's not this conversation wouldn't even have went

  • 2:32:43

this far had you said i get your point oh i don't get your point i don't think

  • 2:32:49

you're right you know and that's why the conversation was this far no i i like hearing it and everything but at the end

  • 2:32:54

of the day i mean i'm not going to stop asking the rappers that i cover about the most interesting things that i can

  • 2:33:00

ask them and they're not going to stop dying you know you mentioned maxo cream i mean maxwell cream somebody i've interviewed since the very beginning of

  • 2:33:05

my career had plenty of conversations with him i know all kinds of [ __ ] about his fed case about his team getting

  • 2:33:12

caught with this and that in the mail whatever interviewed him multiple times and even brought it up and he what's he doing

  • 2:33:18

right like says a little something swerves around it doesn't want to say you don't think you don't think so let

  • 2:33:23

me actually respect that let me ask you a question guess who didn't bring it up what we had him sitting right where you

  • 2:33:29

sitting nice whipped cream mm-hmm at all because his life and what he's trying to

  • 2:33:35

do is more important than his [ __ ] fat case and it's more important than his charges that can intimidate him

  • 2:33:40

that's a fan that's someone who appreciates what he does and wants him to keep doing it so we're not going to do we're not going to do it people catch

  • 2:33:46

fed cases it's in the news right yes because it's interesting it's not known to them it's not known to millions of viewers

  • 2:33:52

it's not knowing a million viewers it's known for local people it's not known to [ __ ] masses no it's not he's not

  • 2:33:59

[ __ ] john gotti or pablo escobar

  • 2:34:18

i'm saying he's very well known to you for a reason outside of his music yeah and that's what we keep saying to you

  • 2:34:23

about what you do with this red cream i've known maxwell cream since the very beginning of my career we have a good

  • 2:34:29

relationship we got to know something you said you asked him all this [ __ ] [ __ ] and he

  • 2:34:34

circumvented it yeah because he's smart and because he didn't want to do that

  • 2:34:39

no because if they think that they can i mean that's their responsibility you think that other people are dumb you said maxo cream is smart so he

  • 2:34:46

circumvented it the boys from chicago that didn't circumvent it are what no because i think everybody that you're

  • 2:34:51

bringing up there i mean ladies and gentlemen cash has done crazy ladies and gentlemen

  • 2:34:56

    crazy

  • 2:35:05

for taking the time out to visit with us round of applause from parks

  • 2:35:12

    [Music]

  • 2:35:25

hopefully at a later year something that we said he'll hear today

  • 2:35:30

will resonate with you we are very clear that today it does not but that don't mean at some point later it won't

  • 2:35:37

so maybe i don't know if it's comments i don't know if it's time whatever it is

  • 2:35:42

i hope that as you continue to ascend at some point much like act

  • 2:35:48

you'll understand what some of the people are saying aren't you saying that basically interviews the exact same way that i do he asks these dudes about all

  • 2:35:54

the different [ __ ] they've been in oh because i watch academics podcasts all the time and he definitely does

  • 2:36:00

exactly what i'm saying awesome we're not saying the same things and your understanding of what's being said

  • 2:36:06

is in the wrong place right now so i can use a lot of the same people as me and ask them like the exact type of

  • 2:36:11

questions that i asked show me what and now you're deflecting awesome with your interviews

  • 2:36:18

show me who died and act chopped up the old interview and put it out the second that they did he doesn't do that he

  • 2:36:23

doesn't realize so then he told him what are you talking about to me no i'm talking about do you not don't want the same thing

  • 2:36:28

so you're not talking about the same [ __ ] about your behavior and death and how it translates you're

  • 2:36:34

definitely not going to convince me that's wrong i think the radio station example was pretty like it's hard to get past that like this is what media

  • 2:36:40

companies do tv networks you know like what happens if joe budden dies everybody is going to make content about

  • 2:36:47

you so that they can remember you that's not greedy that's not evil adam i'm on

  • 2:36:52

record saying that i'll be in heaven telling [ __ ] like you to suck my dick for the behavior that you exhibit when

  • 2:36:58

we die and not even when we die but what you did when i was alive yo this [ __ ] beat up on some [ __ ]

  • 2:37:04

okay that's what you did to somebody you have a relationship with while you were live but it wasn't news it was from 2005.

  • 2:37:12

i regret the way that went down ladies and gentlemen

  • 2:37:18

the amazing atom22 here and shout out to the whole jb i appreciate you much love

  • 2:37:25

luck success and hopefully a different business model

  • 2:37:30

with some of this stuff not all just characterizing my business some of this stuff i said some of this stuff okay

  • 2:37:37

moving forward round no applause please for adam come on give it up give it up

  • 2:37:43

he's pretty here he's fought up against

  • 2:37:58

got a little bit of that [ __ ] in y'all what not wanting to do interesting content yes no it's a disconnect yes it's just a

  • 2:38:05

disconnect yes you and you just blame it shut up my voice

  • 2:38:11

    [Music]

  • 2:38:16

    him
