I repeat it is not serious it is not real no one is exposing
- 0:12
revealing indicting or telling you anything about themselves
- 0:18
also we do not encourage you to try this at home we are trained professionals who do not have your best interests at
- 0:24
heart or our own enjoy the show I woke up so thankful
- 0:30
that we was coming into electricity today that sounds silly right that was some [ __ ] I'm not gonna lie I made
- 0:36
that day long as hell but now I was also glad that that happened that that very
- 0:41
humbling moment because I remember them cutting the lights off and you couldn't
- 0:46
and I didn't have the money yeah same actually I wasn't paying the bill
- 0:52
because I didn't have the money and you just hope and hope they don't clip you open and clip you then when they finally clip you and you got a call yeah it had
- 0:59
to be one time that [ __ ] was like 10 grand I've had that same [ __ ] happen and I had my man
- 1:09
dog them [ __ ] was climbing the pole cutting the wire oh [ __ ] because I had
- 1:15
the electrician just come cut the [ __ ] back off my man would climb up on the pole reconnect that [ __ ] right back at
- 1:20
the pole that'd be 250. here you go no [ __ ]
- 1:26

- 2:33
had a delinquent bill I wouldn't either
- 2:39
if I had a [ __ ] I would never have a delicious that's a good what is she talking about
- 2:44
that's a good point that is amazing um women got time to do [ __ ] like that oh so you agree you disagree
- 2:52
that's him doing it no I'm just asking I I think that the two things are mutually
- 2:57
exclusive Concepts [Music] however no you do not think that for
- 3:04
real or you just bought it you just potting all right thank you for your honesty dog girls got
- 3:10
time to be scared of insects right like y'all know y'all the way y'all live
- 3:17
life men don't even have time to at all I
- 3:23
wish I could be scared of insect oh my skater oh my god oh broken arm [ __ ] get
- 3:30
out and go to work when women have to get out of their own bubble and apply their brain to like somebody else's life
- 3:35
like Father's Day is coming like right oh my god when you get somebody who has everything like if you're not thought
- 3:41

- 4:23
phone case it's nice you got the solid gold yeah yeah I'm fancy
- 4:31
the little Instagram man got me um should cost a little bit I want to
- 4:36

- 4:41
boy [ __ ] was 4.99 relationship let's make some things please oh never mind
- 4:48
okay it's over for that all right it's over for you can't tell me how much you weapons you weaponize things and you
- 4:55
paint me out to look away in front of my fan base and audience but that's the best that's the risk that's the risk
- 5:02
that you run when you invite your friends of 15 years to come you are Bob Ross with the paintbrush you kidding me
- 5:09
[ __ ] page you out a certain way fam you got buckets of paint I think I think I put
- 5:15
you in positions to win okay that's what I think all right Joker
- 5:20
you got it you got it yo you got Bob Ross [ __ ] out of here uh here we go
- 5:27
strongest horse on the planet no get that back the horses strongest horse on the planet
- 5:33
average Belgian horse could pull anything between 12 000 and 14 000
- 5:39
pounds now did anybody major in math or accounting if the average Belgian horse can pull between 12 000 and 14 000
- 5:46
pounds how many pounds can two Belgian horses pull neutral button incorrect your math was
- 5:53
correct but you use logic and the reason you use logic is because you weren't exposed to what Belgian horses can
- 5:58
actually do they should be able to pull two times their weight here's the beautiful thing about the strongest horses on the planet when you yoke two
- 6:07
strong horses together and they're both Belgian both of them are willing to over exert themselves to
- 6:14
tell the other one I'm setting the pace that's how they get to 35 000 pounds Belgian horses uh he smoked that we
- 6:21
smoked that one come on he smoked that well come on shout out to the horses out there they smoke that one come on shout
- 6:27
to the horses shout out to the horses out there shout out to the ladies that wear their fire the whole time
- 6:35
y'all don't cheat the system what the whole time they doing what the whole time they're supposed to wear
- 6:42
post-surgery six to eight months
- 6:48
and work out and eat right it ain't just surgery all right man
- 6:53
[Applause]
- 6:59
the first clip first clip ladies the tightest clip don't try to cheat the
- 7:05
system not the third one not that little Lucy goosey [ __ ] you know the one you're supposed to put it on yeah you're such a
- 7:11
bird
- 7:18
knowledge of the process he sounds like he could run a recovery home
- 7:23
[Applause]
- 7:30
I think that if you are a man who are if you're a man in New York you had no
- 7:36
choice but to kind of learn a little something about it I was late to the game I was late learning about you had to
- 7:43
kind of figure out what the hell was going on out here [ __ ] why your lips look like that why the [ __ ] why the [ __ ] you got the
- 7:49
duck lips one side tall at another they only gave
- 7:54
you 12 CC's on the other side yeah like you better learn what they're doing uh
- 7:59
what episode is this 6 36. Welcome to the
- 8:07
welcome to episode 636 of the Joe Budden podcast I'm your humble gracious grateful and highly favored or lowly
- 8:14
favorite host Joe Budden here with a few of my nearest and dearest the Beautiful the amazing Melissa Ford is here number
- 8:22
one actually hold up for a minute uh let's see
- 8:29
issues here let's see who got the keys in the Jeep room
- 8:41
let me get it right for my girl man there you go let me get it right for my
- 8:48
girl Melissa Ford yeah I mean you may have seen her
- 8:55
and videos for the last 20 years now no I love that song what it is I think I
- 9:02
was playing it like two days ago in the Jeep is that what inspired you um well we're talking about audience out
- 9:09
there Melissa Ford at Melissa Ford at Melissa Ford with a Y climbed on top of her car at
- 9:17
the beach what did you got this is the beach at the beach parked on the beach
- 9:23
climbed on top of her car and a bikini and started rolling around [Laughter]
- 9:29
that was new uh um not the newish is repurposed content
- 9:37
but for a purpose what was the purpose so I'm glad you
- 9:43
said it okay so Jeeps are like a huge community and there's this thing called
- 9:48
Jeep wave so everybody that has like a Wrangler when you pass each other by in
- 9:55
traffic throw up the Deuces way oh there's not a specific wave
- 10:00
it's an acknowledgment it's basically an acknowledgment and so there's some people who a lot of people who drive
- 10:06
Jeeps they know this and some people didn't know it so I had friends who have Jeeps I'm just like dude Jeep wave and
- 10:12
they were like what the [ __ ] you talking about and I'm like they're like I was wondering why people were waving at me and I'm like it's an actual thing so
- 10:18
Wrangler drivers they Jeep wave so I was just kind of like you know just kind of connecting to my community Cherokees
- 10:24
though no no no no no no it's just it's just Wranglers nope nope just Wranglers
- 10:30
so you so you sat on the Jeep and waved your body well no gotcha
- 10:44
[Music] yeah extra small okay yeah it's fine but
- 10:50
I listen that's not the point I watched it and said guess what I said so earthy
- 10:56
this don't seem and I could be wrong but this don't seem so earthy can you
- 11:03
speak to can you speak to that portion I got the Jeep way more
- 11:09
but just the fact that I own a Jeep do you think that behavior is earthy
- 11:15
don't try to word me out of my point [Music]
- 11:21
honestly I've seen some some earthy girls maybe not on a Jeep but they're
- 11:27
like you know dressed in swimwear and they're by water you know I just happen
- 11:33
to be in the parking lot the water was over there yeah it was everything
- 11:39
if you would have had some mountains or some some Elm trees or something behind you
- 11:44
you might have got it off you sitting in the middle of the Wawa no Earth anywhere anywhere at all no yo
- 11:52
you said in the middle of the Walmart parking lot that ain't Earth yeah that's all it's fine
- 11:58
we love it it's good content thank you exactly okay so okay so I have to be honest it was shot while I still lived
- 12:04
in L.A no no for real so the palm trees are in the background they are no one
- 12:11
notice no one noticed see no one noticed see you need to hold on yourself anyways too much earthiness too much earthiness
- 12:18
going on uh issues here Parks is here po was here Corey is here Erickson is here and
- 12:27
and save on stopped by to say hi
- 12:32
the [ __ ] Dawn save on the dawn stop by to say hello to us
- 12:39
he looks great he lost some weight he getting a lot of money Smiles came in
- 12:46

- 12:53
with us works with us just on group one group chat here
- 12:58
we haven't seen him we put the pressure on him in the group chat yeah we had to I didn't think it would work I didn't
- 13:03
think so either I didn't think I thought he outgrew us yeah I thought he was off him like uh y'all crazy in the chat uh
- 13:11
but good to see you good to see Savon and have him here uh how's everybody doing how y'all feeling feeling great
- 13:17
it's the weekend amazing great how was your week weather's breaking oh I
- 13:24
slipped yeah it was a long Tuesday yeah yeah we were here late
- 13:29
very much yeah we were yeah that [ __ ] takes without you pause pause
- 13:34
yeah okay pause yeah so that was it all right you guys week was so a bit of fun cat
- 13:42
energy I ended up going to Brooklyn Chop House for kind of like the first time to eat
- 13:48
which one the one in the City Times yeah Times Square all right yeah I went to dinner with um MC light and a couple of
- 13:54
her friends yeah shout out the light I mean she's just she's I just love her
- 14:01
um so that was my excitement and then just ran errands and rested because Tuesday was it was a lot it was a
- 14:07
monster it was a lot yeah is there anything that you can tell us that MC light said that you shouldn't say on air
- 14:14
um no all right no what'd you guys talk about we talked about a bunch of things but the sukiana situation came up in
- 14:21
conversation which you know I feel like we'll talk about later on in the show because you know everybody's kind of
- 14:26
opining and pontificating about it so oh I can't wait to toss that ball right to
- 14:31
you andish yeah I can't wait to toss that one to y'all me and Parks will cover the music
- 14:37
today indeed it is an extremely important
- 14:43
conversation for all of us to participate in I I'm ready to support
- 14:48
you okay I'm totally ready to support you let's do it that's what I'm here to do
- 14:54
um I was at Tatiana all week oh were you all week long yeah I can't rely on your
- 15:00
connects girl well I mean does she think what did she think like I was who I was
- 15:07
before Oh [ __ ] well yeah oh my as you should be yeah as you should be from
- 15:14
when we went to now oh the outdoor patio
- 15:19
girl the outdoor patio but not just that the
- 15:24
the the New York Times rating got them lit you can fit they was they was well
- 15:31
on their way to being lit but stay there now yeah it's that my
- 15:37
thing my first night uh ASAP Ferg on his way out it's always fun when you see a
- 15:44
rapper like on the low in a cut somewhere where you know ah yeah [ __ ] what's up I see you I see you now it may
- 15:50
just be Ferg now I saw him on the uh yeah you're right over there I think it's just fergner you're right about that and I never call him ASAP Ferguson
- 15:57
I was calling for I saw him went up in there they changed a few things on the menu yes they did
- 16:04
yes they did they got a little hot pocket on that menu boy oh my Lord I
- 16:09
tried to order one to go it was like nah I don't think they call it that when you do that yes oh is it called The Hot
- 16:16
Pocket it's a fancier name but it ends in Hot Pocket
- 16:21
I feel like it's like a curried goat empanada okay you clearly haven't been there in
- 16:27
quite some time I was there like three weeks ago that made me I was there today they opened they have a curry goat
- 16:34
Empanada and they also now have a brand new item that you've never had which is
- 16:40
a Hot Pocket inspired by the chef and things he liked in his childhood
- 16:48
it's like a it's pepperoni but it's like squashed it's like all together with some other
- 16:55
spices they bring this white spicy cream you have to try it instead of stepping
- 17:00
on my story get your VIP up yeah no that that hot
- 17:07
pocket was great I couldn't take one home so we went right back the next day uh Chef Ramsay was in the kitchen

- 18:50
laughing he just said congrats on everything and I was like
- 18:56
it's a little tough out here when you're reviewing people [ __ ] I mean but how
- 19:02
tough can it be when you make a couple billion your opening weeks you don't really care what nobody had to
- 19:08
say hey [ __ ] like Mexican [Laughter]
- 19:13
Panthers made him go to the movie theater more uh

- 22:00
like a spa day that's nice you can't go wrong with that
- 22:05
what I didn't say a word what you looking at me on I'm looking at you because we podcasters
- 22:14
you got me a little spot today I need a I need a facial pause like a good one
- 22:19
where they do the steam massage pull all these toxins and [ __ ] out of here are you doing anything for your father for
- 22:25
Father's Day uh probably but I can't know until I see what my kid
- 22:31
is doing for me and what time I want us all to just go to dinner or brunch or lunch or something like that
- 22:37
cook out something yeah last year we went we all went to brunch in Harlem like so that's that's our thing
- 22:43
um it sounds nice yeah shout out to Dad love you man uh all
- 22:51
right where do you want to begin music let's do it that would be we had a pretty good week this week
- 22:56
tell us about it it's been a quiet year of releases we got we got Gunner you wanna start we
- 23:03
got it we can start with Gunner let's start with Gunner listen man did you hear it I heard it
- 23:09
one or ten I don't know if I'm ready to give it a review but it's very good yo it's very
- 23:14
good I'm shocked well I'm not shocked he's talented that guy sound like
- 23:20
he rapping and flowing like his life depend on it I ain't gonna hold you it might a little bit
- 23:26
I would agree he wrapped like um I heard all y'all talking and you're
- 23:33
not better than me so I'ma show you like all the people that had something
- 23:38
to say about his situation it sounded like he wanted to be like yeah but you're not me though that's what that is what it sounds like
- 23:44
that's what it sounded like to me and he said a lot of that also lyrically yeah he was talking a lot of [ __ ] yo
- 23:52
production was great Crazy Fire yo fire oh [ __ ] is fire yo it really is it is
- 23:58
and I'm not the biggest demo I'm not the demo me either but that and I don't know if it's just because
- 24:04
we've been talking about him so much and paying so much attention to his story to hear him like describe his story in the
- 24:09
music hit different but I don't think that's what it is for me because a
- 24:14
contrary to that I haven't heard him talk so much no I'm saying we've all been the whole world has been the world
- 24:20
situation for however long now for me that's very separate than what you're able to produce musically yeah no doubt
- 24:26
No Doubt but I think if that was a make this was make or break for him I'm just saying
- 24:32
that because of the story like you pay more attention yeah that's true
- 24:37
because like Park said he's not his typical demo but based on what he's been going through here
- 24:44
and I want to see if your production and all that [ __ ] is going to sound good because y'all was saying y'all it was
- 24:49
kind of 50 50 if he was going to be able to pull the same producers and get the same quality sounds that he'd been had
- 24:55
what he proved is you know he didn't need him
- 25:09
I didn't hear him and I don't see him listed that's what I meant like no I was saying he's a he's a
- 25:16
singles artist there's a lot of support how do you show up for yourself without the Futures and the Drakes and uh
- 25:24
and what he proved is no it was me it was me though it was me the whole time
- 25:30
that's really difficult to do to show up this way and sound this good all by
- 25:36
yourself with little to no support from your label that was a big thing what I was saying before too like let's see
- 25:44
when the label decides to show up they didn't show up at all he dropped bread and butter and had an album ready with
- 25:51
with whoever helped do it I didn't see the credits yeah it's still not Untitled for whatever reason maybe because it was
- 25:57
a little bit of a surprise drop sometimes titles a little bit slower to upload [ __ ] but well good point that you mentioned it was Shadow banned for me
- 26:04
too yeah I couldn't find it I could not find the album I had to go find the name of the album and type that type of thing
- 26:10
to pop out that's that's that says something yeah I didn't know
- 26:15
that you could Shadow ban an album oh it happens anything on the internet can be shadow man yeah it happens frequently
- 26:21
with artists that are questionable for whatever reason Tori [ __ ] Chris Brown says [ __ ] Chris Brown [ __ ] Chris Brown
- 26:28
album came out [ __ ] couldn't find it yeah it happens the last album it happened and it's Chris Brown right
- 26:35
so what I'm saying is I don't know what was spent on this project it don't sound like the you don't have that label sound
- 26:43
that should be at that label mixing and mastering sound where everything just sound the crispiest this sound like he
- 26:49
did this dropped his record dropped his album two weeks later and he's gonna see
- 26:55
returns yeah he's going to see return especially you have no big budget this is really good music it is
- 27:01
I'm impressed man I really am I'm very impressed gotcha and I think that's what he needed to do like all the [ __ ] that's
- 27:08
been around him all the [ __ ] he's been accused of and people saying this and that you had to come out and deliver something that told your story and was
- 27:16
fire yeah I said he had to do something to make the label even even trust continue
- 27:21
to trust and and the fans so now hands are fickle you can always get the chance of a song again a song or
- 27:27
get them but you still got to deliver a product product to the fans based off of what he's accused of to make them forget
- 27:34
Atlanta I'm sorry yo I know some of y'all y'all don't [ __ ] with this [ __ ] I don't know I don't know what's going on
- 27:40
out there because it's not my business I don't live there I don't have property there I don't know if y'all I don't know but
- 27:47
listen man hey uh to the Thugs and criminals I'm sorry yo I'm gonna play
- 27:54
this I'm gonna play this thing saved I'm a player I'm gonna play this thing and
- 27:59
and because I was in the shower listening to this [ __ ] and then I got it got out the shower I got in the car and then bread and butter came on and the
- 28:05
flow of the album oh that [ __ ] sounds I knew what it sounded like but in the
- 28:11
flow of the album boy does it sound a lot better Gunner I if hey you got it yeah respect respect do you
- 28:18
got it yo you did it I saw a lot of Fizz repeating the same sentiment like I
- 28:24
don't know about all that street [ __ ] but this [ __ ] is fire there you go begs the question I wonder
- 28:30
what and and then and then I don't like uh Thug announcing his album coming
- 28:36
yeah I saw that I don't know you think it was intentionally like to step
- 28:43
on it yes okay and maybe yeah
- 28:49
there's no other reason that you do that if there's not some type of anger
- 28:54
involved here the label the label one might be trying to play the game it's the same way no no which
- 29:02
is peaking the interest like a word let's create an animosity we're gonna put both of these shits out so you're
- 29:08
gonna go buy his [ __ ] and you're gonna go buy his [ __ ] to see which ones sound better and now we're gonna get two seconds I'm actually might be rolling
- 29:15
wishes it may be label games I don't care about what y'all talking about academics posted uh the comment of
- 29:22
somebody asking Young Thug's sister if she was gonna post uh Gunners album or cop the album and her reply was publicly
- 29:29
it's on his page was no make sure you do I so I can eat
- 29:35
um now what do you all have to say since you're all and that means nothing to y'all no I think the label still has an
- 29:42
agenda which is just make both of these [ __ ] sell so now we're gonna play remember 50 and Kanye not that 50
- 29:47
and Kanye's in that particular scenario okay but yo we're gonna create this um
- 29:53
and now both of us gonna eat off of it the label gonna eat either way the label is not stepping on gun and [ __ ] with one
- 30:01
of their own joints they're not gonna do that again I'm saying that I don't think they
- 30:06
stepping on it I think they Insight in the riot okay so now we're gonna both go buy both albums to see which ones sound
- 30:12
better not even sound comparable what's funny is to me is opened your brain to to even think about
- 30:20
well what if this guy is upset well I mean wasn't no I'll be thinking
- 30:26
about that okay [ __ ] want to hear what they both got to say
- 30:38
that's my opinion I didn't like it got it I didn't like it I didn't hear any
- 30:43
shots in granted I only listened to it one time so I don't have a deep dive in the lyrics but I didn't hear any shots from Gunner towards
- 30:50
Thug or any of that camp specifically I have to listen more to before I start
- 30:55
deep diving on shots and subliminals because he did a lot of talking and these internet kids already got
- 31:02
breakdowns running around what percentage of bars was aimed at him what percentage was about the case like they
- 31:08
already got that going on like I said I only listened to this two times once at five in the morning when I bought it and
- 31:15
again when I woke up when I got in the shower so give me a little more time today I bought more albums today than I
- 31:21
have all year I think so too what else came out Killer Mike um
- 31:28
he went crazy they went crazy that Michael project hold up man
- 31:34
well don't let y'all hold up okay yeah I can't wait to I can't wait to talk to him because I got questions this this album sounds
- 31:41
very different from other people's albums of late in that it sounds like they actually [ __ ] tried
- 31:49
you know what I'm saying a lot of people kind of do bare minimum [ __ ] with music and they did bare maximum
- 31:55
Max maximum with this production Wise feature-wise musicianship Wise let's just drop a
- 32:01
surprise or no he's been he's been he's been rolling this out for a minute okay he's had a couple singles oh my man turn
- 32:07
this [ __ ] off turn this [ __ ] the [ __ ] off yo I told him yesterday I spoke to
- 32:12
him slaughterhouse used to be talking about features to have and when Killer Mike came up a long talks needed to be had
- 32:19
like are y'all sure y'all want to invite this headache over here like y'all ready for all us
- 32:27
kill a Mike yo and no ID that one
- 32:32
and you hit it now I'm going back [ __ ] y'all [ __ ] what y'all talking about what I'm saying imagine being a rapper and
- 32:39
this come on in the studio yo Killer Mike told me yesterday and he's going to come here and speak to us he
- 32:46
told me that this is undeniably one of the best Greatest Albums ever made and I'll let him come expound on that
- 32:53
this is shed tears Killer Mike and mozzie track two the features were fire
- 32:59
phenomenal everything on this album is phenomenal interesting choices like mozzie is an interesting choice kind of
- 33:05
we love mozzie but Killer Mike and mozzie wouldn't think it would be a thing yo dog crazy yeah he's insane
- 33:12
absolutely [ __ ] bugging in this studio yeah no they put time into this
- 33:19
they put money into this they put effort into this top to bottom and you could hear it and you can hear it oh my God
- 33:26
Apple music yeah man yeah I thought that was ASAP they showed up Mike got let me
- 33:32
just read kill him like see um CeeLo Green Mozzy young thug black Aaron Allen
- 33:39
Jagged Edge Andre 3K Ty dollar sign on two he got him on a couple here yeah but
- 33:46
he spoke to that he said he said a lot of things just fell in my favor this project I sent Ty Dolla
- 33:53
Sign one joint he sends me back two I end up using them both he said I spent a lot of money a lot of my own money I had
- 33:58
to talk to my wife about it who's a businesswoman an accountant and she's like what the [ __ ] are you doing and I
- 34:04
said I'm building my art and that says Jesus had the ability
- 34:10
Noah he deserves this though he deserves to do that because his his albums
- 34:17
have never sounded like this you know what I'm saying in terms of he's got some great albums rap to me is
- 34:24
a classic and we'll talk to him later run the jewels are both classic projects yeah but this is like his magnum opus it
- 34:31
feels like that it sounds like that it's titled like that it's titled like that and any and anytime you get listen I
- 34:38
know I'm dick riding but no ID is him he is one of my favorite no ID
- 34:44
projects is with James font Leroy remember cocaine okay what I mean and I
- 34:50
can't find it anywhere like because of no ID yeah no idea is a weirdo
- 34:57
oh yeah he's the other one yeah come two [ __ ] together that music will never be
- 35:02
anywhere I tried to tell people about it and people are looking at me like I'm smoking crack I'm like you didn't no
- 35:08
because they both too [ __ ] artsy had added artsy and with music rights they know everything in music though I'm not
- 35:14
giving you this album label I'm not giving you this group Janae Aiko was in the comments
- 35:19
that was SoundCloud [ __ ] right yeah yeah um
- 35:25
[Applause] hold on man what you wanted uh I'll let
- 35:31
you hear that the first joint that did it for them oh no this is my joint right here this is summer 2012-ish it's one of
- 35:39
the best summer ever whenever ever it was yeah they put out like two projects
- 35:45
three projects yep all short EPS of all original
- 35:51
before even this is late oh long before yeah but all of them was before this
- 35:57
yeah no doubt but the combo of him and James font Leroy was like finding hidden gold you know what I mean and you can
- 36:03
hear like Chris Brown when James Fauntleroy sings because Chris is literally said he's like his favorite
- 36:09
songwriter like he loves when he comes on board James Bond Leroy did uh uh that
- 36:14
Justin Timberlake album with all that good Timberland Justified no no no no no no no no no the 2020 yeah the first one
- 36:21
what's the 2020. the uh you mean sexy mirrors 2020 is mayor's suit and tie
- 36:28
with Jay-Z oh God you gotcha that's that's a little later on uh but yeah James font Leroy is him back to Killer
- 36:35
Mike though I don't even know what to say about this project uh just listen to it
- 36:40
just listen to it it's really good yeah I wonder if he did this all Indy I think he did
- 36:46
it doesn't say a major underneath it it sure enough don't that's oh that's me that's probably why
- 36:52
you had to pay all that money
- 36:59
yeah dropped I ain't listened to it yet but I listen to half of it and it sounds
- 37:05
great I don't know what that is yes you do yes you do it's a r b girl you played it
- 37:11
before she's she's great she wanted him she wanted a newer class r b great
- 37:17
writers turnt singers that she did real good she's amazing uh who else who else
- 37:22
who else dropped a lot of R B drop but we can get to that at another time because I haven't listened to everything
- 37:28
uh but shout out to everybody man shout out to everybody that dropped let me see
- 37:34
here they said boy drops project with his Pops I ain't listened to it yet but that's super fire to me okay his pops
- 37:39
just came on we put out album with him that is though that's amazing oh ombre dropped oh yeah
- 37:45
ombre Drive yeah bought that uh Alex Vaughn oh
- 37:51
sir oh damn babo Alex Eisley there's a lot of r b to get
- 37:58
to and you know I'm gonna get to it so we'll give reviews uh we'll give reviews next week the Kiana [ __ ] is my sleeper
- 38:04
actually who is that oh that's my sleep who is that oh that's my sleeper the fun
- 38:11
kind
- 38:16
s out there man I appreciate y'all doing it I I appreciate the feeling that I get on Thursday night when the music drops
- 38:23
and it's something you've been anticipating that that has never died since childhood so thank you for finally coming this year with some music Jesus
- 38:29
right tough year for me yeah we heading into July what the hell y'all waiting for word
- 38:36
it doesn't feel like we're heading into July no no it really do feel like the year just started
- 38:41
outside of the weather it just the [ __ ] is flying in my [ __ ] to me yeah I got somewhere to be I don't
- 38:49
know moving like you got somewhere to be that [ __ ] crazy so happy yeah because my vacation is July and and this [ __ ] is
- 38:54
creeping up yeah next month [ __ ] is I'm ready though you know I'm a
- 38:59
farm bring me to fall I'm a fall dude bring me the fall in the winter actually plan on kind of staying in the crib a
- 39:05
little bit this summer like I ain't got nothing crazy going on see some little white kids down there ruin Great Adventure
- 39:12
turn little dirty ass kids they got great adventure looking a mess don't you dare go there after five o'clock
- 39:18
it was wrong with you though nothing I've been a great adventure after five o'clock because my Fright Night yeah I
- 39:23
was frightened it worked you said you said last year was a whole bunch of [ __ ]
- 39:28
you step foot over there if you want it's a mess over here [ __ ] got their guns in Great Adventure why do you need
- 39:35
your gun here it's a kids park or oh man come on let's
- 39:41
talk about something we can get these two involved come on come on let's pass the ball over here you know they ain't heard no music but Anita Baker
- 39:48
they ain't heard nothing that came out he ain't even heard his sleeper uh what's the most important what's the
- 39:53
most important what's the most important come on let's get this I see you that's the key that's
- 40:05
I mean it's over over lamb chops about this
- 40:11
[ __ ] well no it came up in conversation it was like it was a table um you know five five of us ladies were just you
- 40:16
know um enjoying dinner and it came up in conversation because it's everywhere right now what's everywhere okay so
- 40:23
sukiana if you're not familiar with who she is she is a lot of people are seeing this is where a lot of people are not
- 40:29
familiar I'm not with her yes I'm not all the way familiar with her either same samezies
- 40:35
a little bit um so she's a rapper but she also has an only fans page she leads with you know
- 40:43
sexuality um apparently her only fans page is pretty graphic
- 40:49
um did you subscribe or you're just hearing that from word on the curb no it's it's just it's being discussed
- 40:56
widely everywhere you know you turn a lot of and I'm gonna get to that a lot
- 41:01
of people are justifying the things that have happened to her because of the fact
- 41:06
that she leads with hypersexuality and that she has performed sex act acts on her only fans page apparently with her
- 41:13
boyfriend um so she was just at some kind of event she was sitting at a table little Duval
- 41:19
was on one side and I'm not sure who was funny Marco and funny funny Mark two
- 41:24
comedians freaky is it freaky funny okay I'm trying to get everybody together right okay is it freaky is it Ricky
- 41:30
Marco you know it's not freaky Marco so YK Osiris is he's Meeks artist
- 41:37
correct I have yeah I don't listen he's the
- 41:45
doofy [ __ ] that was running around Drake house for [ __ ] three months and ran running up on little baby that
- 41:50
everybody said oh you owe me money you owe me money that's who I know him to be okay I haven't heard any of yko Cyrus's
- 41:56
music my son has I have uh my little cousins uh my girls kids the kids have
- 42:03
heard his music okay gotcha I think he's an annoying little [ __ ] who every time
- 42:08
I hear his name is for everything outside of music right I've been off of him got it long before this so the only
- 42:15
reason why I asked is because Meek sent out a series of tweets which I will get to in a second so anyways they're at
- 42:20
this event she's sitting in between Duvall and Marco and YK Osiris walks up to her and he grab he puts his hands on
- 42:27
her shoulders and then he grabs her face and he sticks his tongue down her throat she does not know him
- 42:33
um and she was visibly uncomfortable but she was also you know giggling she just
- 42:40
it was really cringy to watch this thing happen and he did it more than once and
- 42:46
then he walked away and he was smirking and smiling and and whatever else people lost their [ __ ] when they saw this and
- 42:53
then the second thing that happened involving tsukiana was she was on Candy's podcast
- 42:59
um which is also a very sexually based kind of conversation that they have and
- 43:04
her co-host um he was body turned into sukiana and
- 43:10
basically just asking her like very lewd questions I mean it's a sex-based podcast but still it was very you know
- 43:17
well if I did this to you you know could I eat your [ __ ] and all this stuff that
- 43:22
is just like this isn't really an interview and then at one point Dick's eyes comes up candy says you've you know
- 43:30
you uh you must like 10 inches or something like that she was like no I'm good with five five is great for me blah
- 43:35
blah blah and her co-host hand pulls up a picture on his phone we assume it's his dick and shows it to her and her
- 43:42
face is literally like looks at the picture and then just looks away so in
- 43:47
these two circumstances we saw her looking really uncomfortable but not
- 43:53
knowing exactly what to do in these circumstances because she's got cameras trained on her right and then this gets
- 43:59
out into the public forum and everybody just starts discussing it and since then she sent out a tweet
- 44:06
basically saying that she was afraid at that moment um and she just didn't and she didn't
- 44:11
know how to do and didn't know what to do and didn't know how to react since then everybody's released a tweet YK
- 44:17
Osiris is issued an apology tweet Meek's been tweeting everybody's been talking about it but the primary conversation in
- 44:25
comment sections has been either one consent consent consent there's no
- 44:31
discussion past that that word in that con that concept and the other half is people saying if
- 44:38
this is how you introduce yourself to the world then you deserve what you get that's crazy and
- 44:44
it would Amber Rose piped up in this whole situation um it was I've got a couple of the
- 44:50
tweets here I'll read them um this is uh this is Amber
- 44:56
are we really gonna sit back and let this happen to sukiana she was sexually assaulted and no one did anything this
- 45:02
is the entertainment business and she is an Entertainer using her lyrics and her Persona as an excuse to physically touch
- 45:08
her and force her without her consent is absolutely disgusting what happened to protect black women I cried when
- 45:14
watching that video and I'm sure a lot of women have as well um
- 45:20
uh tsuki on his exact tweet was I am her and I'm scared to stand up for myself that was the tweet that she'd issued and
- 45:26
apparently she's kind of deactivated temporarily deactivated her social media accounts because of all of this stuff
- 45:33
um YK Osiris his apology uh was I don't
- 45:38
have that no no no no no no no okay what do you think
- 45:43
um I'm on the side of uh consent is consent like just taking somebody's lyrics
- 45:49
um or you know what she does under her only fans page you know it it's a form
- 45:54
of entertainment whether we morally agree with it or not walking up to a
- 46:00
woman grabbing her face and sticking your tongue down her throat is that is sexual assault that's disgusting it's
- 46:06
gross yeah it's really gross and there was there was I mean there was a lot of
- 46:12
women saying the same thing you know um of how you introduce yourself to the
- 46:17
world is how they're going to treat you and that sort of thing and it's like it's just it kind of blows my mind in
- 46:24
2023 even after hashtag metoo and everything else and just like the
- 46:29
everybody's you know um changing or or elevated concept as to understanding
- 46:34
what consent actually means and also understanding that sex work is a paid
- 46:41
profession whether you agree with their are not morally or whatever the case is it is a paid profession it does not mean
- 46:48
that you can walk up to this person and act like they're a [ __ ] fire hydrant and piss on them you know what I mean so
- 46:53
it was kind of difficult to watch and I know exactly what she meant by saying I
- 46:59
was afraid and I don't know how to stand up for myself because these are the kinds of things you know not to that
- 47:05
extent but that people would try with me and all I did was do music videos but you'd swear the way that I was treated
- 47:12
back then I was doing the exact same thing that she was you know what I mean it's just like the the idea of
- 47:19
um you know what's respectability politics and what's considered moral and amoral it's that's what the conversation
- 47:27
is really about and also what was disturbing was to see that no man came
- 47:34
to her rescue during that whole situation no one said hey yo yo yo chill
- 47:39
get off or what is your problem no one did anything they all and it's like there's a saying that
- 47:48
every woman knows a woman who's been sexually assaulted but no man knows a rapist
- 47:53
hmm like I never heard that I've never heard of something well because it's something
- 47:59
it's something that women know well yeah that's very much I gotcha to your
- 48:05
particular point I saw it and from initially seeing it I
- 48:11
thought they knew each other right so I could see how Duvall or Marco
- 48:16
wouldn't because from the looks of it it looked like they so they knew each other once I've read a little bit more and
- 48:22
delved a little bit deeper it was like oh wow my man is bugging out yeah I'm not gonna absolutely kill Marco yeah
- 48:28
because it looked and she was smiling like when he walked away she it was a nervous like a smile she should have
- 48:34
punched him in his face I can't speak to that because there are many different coping
- 48:41
mechanisms you can't watch and say what somebody should do she did she ran underneath the
- 48:47
table she just did she damn near was stuffing herself she should have punched so if you freeze in that moment or if
- 48:54
you laugh to try to play at all not only your face but his face as well
- 48:59
we are the oppress event there's famous people around it's nothing but cameras in front of me I'm a new uh new uh
- 49:07
aspiring act I got some heat out there you're somebody now I got to think about who's backing you is it gonna hold is it
- 49:14
going to put a halt or hindrance to my career how she reacted in that moment no I don't want it no I wasn't knocking her
- 49:20
reaction I wasn't knocking I know you're talking about it the Laughing what it said it was a nervous laughter it wasn't
- 49:26
uh hahaha That's my boy but if you are a man because you don't know if you're a
- 49:31
man right there you assume that they [ __ ] yeah yeah you as soon as they [ __ ] you
- 49:37
do and when she says because she did verbally say stop if you're an onlooker maybe you thinking
- 49:45
that she don't want that in the public in front of the youth y'all [ __ ] yeah like that no more you know what I mean
- 49:52
something to that effect so I'm not gonna totally going on on them two uh was there more that should have been
- 49:57
done by them I think absolutely whack 100 is already on the internet calling them all types of [ __ ] ass busty ass
- 50:03
[ __ ] calling who uh funny Marco and Duvall for for them just sitting there
- 50:09
but why am I I'm not going to talk about them when I'm on doofy dude yeah I'm on him still it's him yeah yeah he um he is
- 50:16
he issued an apology it kind of sounds like a publicist wrote it yes I want to read the meek tweets that you can really
- 50:23
give though in my opinion that is suffices you walked up to a stranger and started
- 50:29
kissing him what yeah well you do need to apologize I know I'm
- 50:35
saying but there's nothing that you can say I don't care what your publish is right that's gonna justify that but you
- 50:40
go Meek says y'all drawing a big line between men and women nowadays on social it's getting bad in the black community
- 50:46
all this internet superficial shaming judging gaslighting only hurt us people and it's a lot of people who need
- 50:52
strength especially young black men he might got a rumble Sookie brother anything but this same internet tier uh
- 50:59
tear each other down stuff tsuki can get what she wants she feels uh she feels violated but let me mind my business and
- 51:05
protect Suki Osiris you a DH a [ __ ] uh go back to church stop following the
- 51:11
heathens that's a weird Hill to die that was not
- 51:18
his first tweet though his first yeah his first tweet was way more sympathetic
- 51:23
for YK Osiris in in the vein of like
- 51:29
you know something like please don't kill him yeah please don't he made a mistake or something exactly unfortunately this is part of why Meek
- 51:36
is my favorite tweeter of all time he's really tone deaf he's really really tough enough
- 51:41
sometimes yeah and this wasn't the right tweet no it wasn't this wasn't the right message no it wasn't it was it was
- 51:49
terrible messaging and it just there is no tearing down of like black
- 51:56
men and women in this particular subject what we witnessed that was clearly a
- 52:01
sexual assault it was that's it call us bay to Spade it was unwanted physical
- 52:07
sexual contact from a total [ __ ] Stranger in front of a whole audience
- 52:12
and now the world has seen it and now they're I think there is a tear down black men and women subplot in here I
- 52:20
just don't think Now's the Time to address it yeah I don't think it's applicable here yeah I don't think this is yeah outside looking in I don't think
- 52:26
this is tearing down black men I think this is tearing down a black man that did something foul yeah I think you got
- 52:31
to draw the line like sometimes um there is an agenda or sometimes there's a broader conversation but for
- 52:38
black men I think sometimes you gotta kind of start putting your foot in some of these young [ __ ] asses when they do
- 52:44
dumb [ __ ] like that's the real accountability piece that's the real black men putting
- 52:50
on for black men if we want to talk about John Moran or if we want to talk about YK Osiris I think sometimes the
- 52:55
black men need to put their foot in these young nigga's asses whether private or in public you they do need a foot and they ask whether verbally or
- 53:02
physically because that's the real accountability piece you know I was I'd written something down and it kind of
- 53:07
applies to this like you know we don't like to let and I'm not calling anybody in this situation an idol but just for
- 53:14
the sake of conversation we don't like to let our Idols go down we lean too much into you know what I've written we
- 53:22
lean too much into how they're being treated versus the actual act itself
- 53:27
not being not separating the act from the person you know what I mean do that
- 53:32
on a lot of [ __ ] yeah we do we and unfortunately this is the broader conversation we do that with race issues
- 53:40
we do that with um gender issues we do that with all of that [ __ ] and sometimes
- 53:45
some of these women be wrong Sometimes some of these races be wrong or these religions be wrong and we and we kind of
- 53:52
conflate the issues and I don't think that's a good thing like your ogs need to put their foot in your ass yeah
- 53:58
yeah it was I understand that you could reason
- 54:05
you know hey we don't know the situation between the two but perhaps a different
- 54:12
you know scenario you err on the side of caution and be like hey you guys know
- 54:18
each other is this cool a lot you know it's you know what's interesting in that moment you want to
- 54:24
know what's interesting is when I did the prime time special with light and Angie Martinez and June Ambrose and
- 54:31
Sherry and and Lola the last question that was posed to us that that Angie
- 54:36
kind of threw up in the air for us to answer and all of us really had no answer was what can men do you know in
- 54:45
hip-hop to support and or protect women you know what I mean because we started
- 54:50
talking about like how women have you know kind of um banded together and supported each other's careers to uplift It Center Etc
- 54:57
we started thinking about like how can men be of more support or whatever the
- 55:02
case is and it was interesting we really just collectively didn't really have an
- 55:08
answer and I feel like it's an answer that can only be asked with men in the room you know so I kind of pose that
- 55:17
question here like where um how could that situation have been
- 55:23
avoided because every man literally was just like through the hands up
- 55:28
I don't know it ain't on me I think I think it's not me I think the biggest piece is listening right so it's three
- 55:36
dudes here four Dudes here that just literally answered the question that went on deaf ears do you think that
- 55:43
if it was somebody else sitting at that table do you think that if maybe it was like I don't know Megan Good sitting at
- 55:48
that table I'm just I'm just picking a name out of the Clear Blue Sky Megan good or
- 55:53
um um Logan Laurice or brisha Webb somebody if
- 55:58
it was anybody else but tsukiana do you think that there would have been a different reaction
- 56:04
from the men around them I don't know
- 56:10
I said yeah I'm not even though it's hard to even it's hard to even um um fathom that situation because I don't
- 56:16
think that he would have had the gall to do that with someone but bigger than that and and we we can move on because
- 56:22
we repeating ourselves dog the onlookers don't know the relationship that these
- 56:27
two people have that's the biggest piece they don't know that he don't know the girl nobody really it randomly just walks up
- 56:35
and starts tongue kissing somebody that they don't know the crazy part is they were sitting at a table and it was like
- 56:42
was it like some kind of press conference or something like that like were they announced it was some basketball it was yeah I don't [ __ ]
- 56:48
know what that [ __ ] was right but this basketball is that crew League or something on the table so I assume that it was pressed for that yeah but even
- 56:54
for him to even kind of like walk up was really what the [ __ ] are you doing
- 57:00
here you know what I mean like that's just the whole thing was the
- 57:07
whole thing was well he's a celebrity and yeah he's a borderline celebrity yeah and this is the Press you want all
- 57:13
the celebrities to walk up there okay no no they didn't kill him because I see
- 57:20
you trying to kill him yeah I just think that the the explanation that the men just gave you didn't pull it in like dog
- 57:27
nobody would think that he didn't know the girl I'm not a celebrity but I'm I'm kind of
- 57:35
popular now if I'm walking in a spot where celebrities had a table and I walk up to the lady and start kissing her
- 57:40
somebody's gonna assume that I know this lady why does it go and I'm I'm I'm getting
- 57:48
me nah she's trying again but what I looked at present is
- 57:55
yeah we need to discuss what black men can do to help black women in
- 58:00
entertainment but why does nobody say anything about the company that's throwing the event
- 58:07
the company that's throwing the event oh they're like is their liability in this yeah okay the company that would be held
- 58:14
liable needs to know what uh what sexual harassment looks like what sexual abuse
- 58:23
looks like uh they had other YouTubers and people try to run on that press conference and security toss them [ __ ]
- 58:30
like uh uh Jazzy Jeff out the house really they tossed them right out of there so you have uh barriers in place
- 58:38
but this is a famous kid so you're not going to handle him that way but that is on y'all that's on y'all to staff events
- 58:46
properly to hire the correct people and not shortcut that happens a lot where we
- 58:51
shortcut and we cutting expenses so yeah we're not going to have the but I think it's the same thing Joe I think that
- 58:57
again this kid is famous uh-huh if Joe Button walked up there they won't stop you
- 59:03
right they wouldn't stop you they don't know if you got a relationship with the girl so you wouldn't do it but let's just say Joe Budden walked up dancing he
- 59:10
did it twice no yes I would think that after the first one they would maybe stop taping in their little earphones and be like
- 59:16
what I'm saying is what I'm saying is cool I received what you're saying yeah
- 59:21
there needs to be the same way these companies have women in place to direct
- 59:26
same thing the NFL had to do had we had to go get some women to teach us and tell us how to handle women care for
- 59:32
women and treat them when they're on set professionally professionally there should have been somebody there specifically to make sure that the woman
- 59:40
[ __ ] that has been popping up for the last few years is being protected is we're protected against it and then
- 59:46
after we discuss that I think we can get to hey what should black men do as onlookers if you're ever in that
- 59:53
situation and this needs to be just a teachable moment for all yeah but I didn't see where the big debate was flirting is not consent the end I don't
- 1:00:00
give a [ __ ] how much he was flirting with dude yeah it ain't consent like what where are we debating I don't
- 1:00:07
to me to me and you know glad that everybody feels the same way in this room there is no debate but it is wild
- 1:00:14
to see how many people truly feel because of her Persona and how she has
- 1:00:20
you know conducted herself or whatever the case is that somehow this warranted
- 1:00:25
that she egged it on that she egged it on and but that is all that that we don't I don't want to harp on that
- 1:00:31
because that has always existed and people victim blaming okay what did she do hey what is she she was asking for it
- 1:00:37
yeah that mentality that's the people that think like that yeah they think like that and they just been thinking like they out there send their monsters
- 1:00:43
and yeah should be banned from the earth yeah but we're talking about young people that's running around getting
- 1:00:49
money in different places and meeting other famous young rich people for the first time and different companies we
- 1:00:54
trapped that that's what I'm addressing I'm not all that all that other [ __ ] that middle of the country [ __ ] I don't
- 1:01:01
know yeah well you got it out yeah no no no it was
- 1:01:08
I'm sure it was triggering it was yeah yeah a little bit a little bit young young [ __ ] doing young dumb [ __ ]
- 1:01:15
do you think that do you think that it his behavior
- 1:01:20
warrants a charge and now and this is what Meek was talking about
- 1:01:27
this is what Nick was talking about he did not see anything wrong with his behavior and to me that's a lot of a
- 1:01:36
problem that you that you could that you don't know that that was not [ __ ]
- 1:01:42
okay and that that was a criminal act so you want to go to jail I asked I posed a question does anybody
- 1:01:49
do you think you could charge yeah
- 1:01:54
women will feel like that too if that was your little sister that might have been you get what I'm saying
- 1:01:59
like I mean if it's your sister if it's your daughter if it's your mom if it's your Aunt if it's your female relative
- 1:02:06
yes that's you I think that's how you all will feel yeah
- 1:02:12
that's assuming but it's a fine line I think if you think if you think he should be charged and you can't dismiss
- 1:02:18
any of Meek's tweet because this is exactly what mixed tweet was was talking about look I don't think the boys should go to
- 1:02:24
jail I really honestly I'm we will we can keep it a buck I think he deserves his ass whoop that's what I really think
- 1:02:31
but when you start putting these kids into the system and all this [ __ ] it might go a step further but I definitely believe he deserves his physical ass
- 1:02:38
whip there should be some repercussion of some sort but man that the women do and there will be
- 1:02:45
I'm not mad at the women fulfilling like that we black men and we know that with the system and all of that [ __ ] does but
- 1:02:51
I'm not mad at any woman that feels like neither am I in charge neither am I I'm not mad at them for that but it's a loaded question when you start asking
- 1:02:57
black men okay let me ask you guys a question let me ask you guys this question yeah she ain't gonna get us out
- 1:03:03
of here have you I because I really I I thought about this last night and especially after what I just said every
- 1:03:09
woman knows a woman who has been sexually assaulted but no man knows a rapist do you all and you don't have to
- 1:03:16
reveal any obviously no names or anything has there ever been somebody that you were cool with friends with
- 1:03:22
that you saw the way that he treated and handled women that you were like
- 1:03:28
yeah I I gotta get away from this this dude he's on some Next Level [ __ ] translation meaning he's rapey he's
- 1:03:36
rapey there's somebody so you understand that this is this is this is our daily
- 1:03:42
existence we are taught to when we're walking to our car hold our keys in our hand we are taught respectability
- 1:03:49
politics of don't wear this in order to not attract that kind of attention we're
- 1:03:55
constantly taught that we have to monitor and alter and Safeguard
- 1:04:02
ourselves have a hyper Vigilant um hyper vigilance about our personal
- 1:04:07
safety because of out of fear of what you know what a man might do to us you
- 1:04:14
guys aren't you guys don't live like that that's how it is for us all the time I was having a conversation with
- 1:04:19
girlfriends last night where we talk about all of these safety precautions that we take in our daily lives you know
- 1:04:26
what I'm saying and also another thing that we fear is rejecting a guy rejection rejecting a guy sometimes will
- 1:04:34
cause you physical harm or death you know what I mean it's not just you're lucky if you just get oh [ __ ] you ain't
- 1:04:40
all that you some women will get spit on kicked
- 1:04:45
shot whatever these are real situations that happen to women so when I saw
- 1:04:51
tsukiana and I saw her level of discomfort you know what I saw I saw exactly what you saw what you said but
- 1:04:57
I'm gonna say it differently the fear of offending the fear of affecting his life
- 1:05:03
in a negative way a fear of who's attached to this scenario on the peripheral knowing that it's not just
- 1:05:09
about me it's not just about what just happened at this very second in time I've literally been on a radio show
- 1:05:15
where somebody like groped me grabbed my [ __ ] boob like you know what I'm
- 1:05:20
saying it just this this was this was wildly triggering and it was just insane and it was a
- 1:05:28
literal sexual assault taking place in front of an audience and yeah sexual assault usually should result in
- 1:05:35
in charges yes yes all right I challenged the audience out
- 1:05:42
there honestly ask yourself who has the funniest podcast cast out honestly okay can you name a funny group
- 1:05:50
than this huh come on think really think
- 1:05:55
we are amazingly fine [Laughter]
- 1:06:00
we're awesome I tried I tried to get this idea twice I thought you talked about it with
- 1:06:06
lightning them she wanted to come first honest
- 1:06:12
she said no no but I want to ask y'all no no no no this conversation's important with y'all what you think you
- 1:06:19
see those rainbows you bought the clouds you can't even
- 1:06:25
produce through it because you can stay lowest you can't tell him shut up I tried to spit this off in the
- 1:06:33
job young [ __ ] doing dumb [ __ ] flow I ain't seen a white woman yet tweet
- 1:06:39
Conor McGregor should be arrested I'm not here to bring up the weekend
- 1:06:47
I got fun listen dog I got funny [ __ ] to talk about good there you go hey actually not
- 1:06:55
straying too far from this conversation Shaquille O'Neal Fifty Shades of Gray oh [ __ ]
- 1:07:01
or purple how's it not 50 Shades of Gray let me tell you something
- 1:07:07
I did it it was bad he'll be back no washer and dryer in the world oh my
- 1:07:13
Lord out of that creepy act if I DM the young woman it ain't getting no rhythm and I was at
- 1:07:20
her job the next day let me ask you in a Home Depot apron spitting one of the hardest verses I've spit in the last few
- 1:07:28
years and buying people washing machines and drying
- 1:07:33
oh they would have my ass they would have my ass buddy it would be really
- 1:07:39
different commentary but it's cool y'all told them and you know what I'm about to go off now these
- 1:07:45
[ __ ] stupid people that write comments about this but I hate they [ __ ] guts let me get my [ __ ] off oh
- 1:07:51
you can tell Joe Joe I can't believe Joe's take on that Home Depot situation whoa I could tell he's dealt with the
- 1:07:56
escorts in the Horizon oh my God he's thinking he doesn't know a normal girl anywhere I am so shocked at what he you
- 1:08:03
[ __ ] idiots I can't be realistic I can't believe people are so [ __ ] stupid
- 1:08:11
I'm wrong for saying that the content creator should want to keep in touch with Shaq
- 1:08:19
is that what they said that's what they said well they they were saying that you were implying that she should [ __ ] I didn't imply a thing because I said take
- 1:08:25
sex out of it platonically there are a million reasons why that young lady
- 1:08:31
would should want to have a line with chat there's a bunch of reasons why she
- 1:08:36
shouldn't have been as short as she was taking sex out of it you are a content creator this man owns mad businesses and
- 1:08:44
invests in people and and is marketable he gets on he does this is the perfect
- 1:08:49
person to speak to if you're consecrated true and he landed in your [ __ ] he's a walking business
- 1:08:56
he's a walking business he is not only that he helps the young people he helps everybody he helps young old everybody
- 1:09:03
in the world could have at least got a washer dryer out of the situation that's what I'm saying ah you stupid idiots out
- 1:09:09
there shock might have wanted to Tumble her dryer though yo well that's his business
- 1:09:15
cycle I mean that's on him well then you got to learn how to dangle your [ __ ] properly
- 1:09:23
[Music] today's generation
- 1:09:29
this girl's out here dangling it that's the flip side of all that mushy [ __ ] that Melissa just said no it's another
- 1:09:35
flip side but I ain't one no I'm not doing anything she ain't tricking me today this is a fun cast
- 1:09:41
uh yeah Shaq went back over there started rapping started buying people things the verse was great
- 1:09:48
first was fire he had the apron on I think he bought Home Depot yeah he might
- 1:09:54
have bought 17 Home Depot
- 1:10:02
the man I almost drove right on people I almost
- 1:10:08
I wanted to see I wanted to just do a little test bump bump yeah yeah I would have been a new verse that was a
- 1:10:14
new Shack version he killed that he bodied it shout out to Shaq man shout out to Shaquille O'Neal and shout
- 1:10:22
out to Home Depot I guess yeah and washer and dryers it wasn't yeah
- 1:10:27
they said that she said that she had speaking of the girl she said she had to quit
- 1:10:34
okay I don't care she also said she's mad that she doesn't have brand deals Girls
- 1:10:40
full of [ __ ] from all the that girl's a cloud chaser and then she's yeah from the increase of her popularity
- 1:10:47
she'll know how to dangle that either oh Jesus she don't know she want brand deals but she cut the shack conversation
- 1:10:52
short see what I mean hey redditors answer that one [ __ ] ass [ __ ]
- 1:10:59
hey look that's one reason that should have been a little extended oh my God all right what else is going
- 1:11:06
on what else John Moran got what 25 25 suspension that's official that's official what a let down Adam Silver
- 1:11:13
you suit me up I thought I thought we had a big one coming yeah you thought the hammer was coming yeah yeah I was
- 1:11:19
waiting for you get it outside right there in the finals I don't know what he's talking about 25 games he could have put that right on the bottom ticker
- 1:11:25
yeah it'll be fine yeah 25. 25 games hey she set out more games than that last
- 1:11:31
year no he had nine no I mean he didn't play in is what I'm saying not for suspension
- 1:11:38
reasons yeah between that how do we feel we feel it's too less right I mean a little I think so but [ __ ] if Adam's
- 1:11:44
silver [ __ ] [ __ ] did you guys think it was gonna that's my man too let me not take that back because that's my man Adam Silver John Murray nah Adam Silver
- 1:11:50
do you think that he deserved the year suspension I'm not gonna say that no he didn't break
- 1:11:55
a solid message with a bigger than 25 uh like half the season yeah something
- 1:12:00
money going money right he's a star yeah Mal's what's the name got 30 games for
- 1:12:06
that [ __ ] he did miles Bridges how does John Morant get
- 1:12:11
30 games I know I won't say I'm not he did something bad oh okay
- 1:12:24
um I think 25 games I thought it was going to be half the season at least but 25 games I mean half the season yeah
- 1:12:31
might potentially take them out of playoff contention we can't have that but they last year and this is just me
- 1:12:39
being basketball but they played better without him I'm not better but they won mad games without them I just think that
- 1:12:44
he's too much of a star now I think with LeBron on his way out um ja is one of the hopeful faces of the
- 1:12:52
NBA and they Market in job this just this just furthers the theory that well this cements the theory that Adam Silver
- 1:12:59
is really a players commissioner yeah what Davis died David Stern would have
- 1:13:06
sent his ass to the PGA
- 1:13:12
Yo No David starting with a toy what he wouldn't have played around yeah no but I think um I think Adam so Adam Silver
- 1:13:19
well they said I know that Adam Silver uh sat and got the opinions of the players
- 1:13:27
the commission so I think the commission might have been as lenient and maybe describing that you these young kids
- 1:13:34
because I've heard a bunch of things that were compelling um to how these young kids are out here now
- 1:13:40
say what moving around what you mean like uh it's unfortunate that these
- 1:13:46
young kids are growing up in a hip-hop era that really glorifies guns and violence even more so than we've ever seen yes more than we've ever seen and
- 1:13:53
it's a cool thing to do so you we all know also and I'm not I'm not caping for him but rap music athleticism it all
- 1:14:01
kind of ties in all of the professional athletes want to be rappers and the rappers want to play ball so it kind of
- 1:14:07
ties in and this is what these little kids are out here doing now all of the little kids my little cousins
- 1:14:13
be sending me turquoise guns I didn't know guns came in colors yeah that's serious they got the clip
- 1:14:18
that's turquoise so they they like it'd be good kids with them too yes they like they really are
- 1:14:25
um they got a fascination with just violence and gun Joe and this [ __ ] is crazy and rap glorifies it a little more
- 1:14:31
than when we were coming up we rap glorified drug dealer when we was coming up it did but now it's glorifying just
- 1:14:38
taking the [ __ ] head off and these young kids are I always get so triggered when we put it on rap
- 1:14:44
dog rap is a very big influence in the urban community Joe we can't lie about
- 1:14:49
it you know what I'm saying I'm not blaming it on rap I'm just saying it definitely plays a part I'm with you on
- 1:14:54
the influence in the urban community but once we start talking about guns and fascination with them we still in
- 1:15:00
America yeah right after [ __ ] came guns yeah that's a fascination
- 1:15:07
America is best it's a few things the bigger than guns in it cars money women I watch guns might be
- 1:15:16
four for five I watch enough History Channel to know guns was never fourth and fifth while everybody was chilling
- 1:15:23
in their respective hoods the [ __ ] that had the real guns and could access the real guns came and took your [ __ ]
- 1:15:30
they took over and the only difference was y'all had slingshots and we had guns
- 1:15:35
this has been the Gatling gun hundreds of hundreds and then when you got guns or relationships enabled us to get
- 1:15:42
bigger and better faster guns that shot farther and Gatling guns always been
- 1:15:47
guns power and guns so yeah correlation where do you think these [ __ ] is
- 1:15:53
getting uh it's Saturday man I'm not doing this but [ __ ] Ain't just getting guns and when do uh when Dude almost
- 1:16:00
shot me in the head and tossed the gun when the cops found that gun they thought I was lying because black people
- 1:16:06
shouldn't have access to this gun that type of whatever gun he had no it's not a hood gun so what really happened Joe
- 1:16:14
it's like oh what the [ __ ] are you talking about some German [ __ ] it was a fire gun he
- 1:16:21
had some heat thank God I jammed oh [ __ ] this ain't supposed to jam I started
- 1:16:28
talking to God God you did that [ __ ] of that jam
- 1:16:34
I think I'm in the John Moran thing I think 25 games might be too little I think
- 1:16:40
they should have hit him with a half a season I think they should have hit him with a half a season just to show like yo dog we not playing to all the new
- 1:16:46
dudes coming in we're not playing with none of y'all so y'all idolizing him this is what he got and if we could do
- 1:16:53
this to him and he's one of the up-and-coming faces of the league we gonna really crack y'all don't come in here on no [ __ ] y'all better come
- 1:16:59
and hit tiptone so I think that um 25 years I'm sure he's pleased he got a gift I'm sure he's happy he got a gift
- 1:17:05
forget that star power he did definitely all right go John good job I dare you do
- 1:17:11
it again I double dare you I dare you get your ass out there with that Nanny I ain't gonna defend you no more because I
- 1:17:16
defended them do you think he does it again nah do you think his name comes across Adam
- 1:17:22
Silver's radar at all this upcoming season no for a negative reason no
- 1:17:30
[ __ ] when Philly was gonna trade AI and he was like dog that's the most focused I've ever been in my life
- 1:17:36
because I wanted to stay there so bad that I put away all the street [ __ ] all the side [ __ ] he [ __ ] around having MVP
- 1:17:43
year all right because he was out there uh climbing on Jeeps like now
- 1:17:48
that's what you got it from me he was climbing on top of that jeep oh man he pulled this gun out you pulled your guns
- 1:17:54
out I got it I got you I got you yo Mariah Mills you got to shut the [ __ ] up
- 1:18:00
now she will never you got it's over my my mind that was a hundred a month mama
- 1:18:05
mama she's never shot radio silence yo I know
- 1:18:11
it hurt I hurt it hurt when you lose the big fish stupid I know it hurt
- 1:18:17
I know you going through it I know that these last few weeks quality of life has depreciated something she's
- 1:18:24
gonna scare away the other fish and I know it's painful that's the bigger problem for her yo you dodo no he cried when she took this dick it should be
- 1:18:30
fine she'll be fine give her a little bit of time they always bounce back they'll bounce back there'll be a new
- 1:18:36
there's a new draft coming up the draft is coming up it'll be a new new shoes
- 1:18:41
and Titans right there but Mariah um listen she's gotta shut the it's over
- 1:18:49
it's over now you got all the Pod coverage you got the blog coverage
- 1:18:55
you got whatever wire transfer he sent tuck it and hold it tight better squeeze it hold it tightly you better squeeze it
- 1:19:02
but you got to shut the [ __ ] up we tired of it now it's a petition going around be tired of it enough I might be coming to New York so no no no no yeah I'm all
- 1:19:10
right and guys iron trade it knew they was getting him out of there they can send Julius Randle ass right to
- 1:19:15
uh New Orleans stop yeah stop this hyperbole stop this Milwaukee you just
- 1:19:21
don't want to hear it yeah not just not true yeah we'll see
- 1:19:27
yeah I'm telling y'all that's not true that that won't be happening
- 1:19:34
it's the Robinson Cano Melky Cabrera Ice ish you think we send in we we might not
- 1:19:42
be the happiest with RJ Barrett right now you think we bringing in your [ __ ] best friend over here that
- 1:19:48
happens to play the same position as the person that we just gave 100 million
- 1:19:54
dollars to then you only played 39 of games the last however many years and
- 1:20:00
this new Nick regime has shown nothing but patience you think we passed on Donovan Mitchell
- 1:20:07
for Zion I hope not it's not happening and if you did that out there y'all be
- 1:20:13
thinking that the NBA is so uppity uppity and proper I could I told y'all Zion was getting out of there if you
- 1:20:19
think the NBA heads especially Nick heads because they know what New York does to people are not
- 1:20:24
looking at Mariah saying if he did that in New Orleans with that with that with
- 1:20:30
that there is no one
- 1:21:21
take it from me I'm on a list of about seven people that know yeah they hear they're tear his ass
- 1:21:28
up yo they would but save yourself we gonna see it save yourself I know I'm telling you I'm not
- 1:21:34
I'm telling you next do some dumb [ __ ] we'll see y'all in a little while true they ain't done
- 1:21:41
something dumb in a little while that's been a little uh I got a basketball question I want to ask y'all before we move on to all of the rapidly rap murder
- 1:21:47
trial killer killer gang gang bang bang shoot em up uh couldn't stand flirting like all of this [ __ ] [ __ ] yo I'm not
- 1:21:53
wild about to talk about all this [ __ ] that baby I want me to talk about
- 1:22:00
no no none of it [Laughter] none of this [ __ ] on the board but
- 1:22:06
anyway uh the number one pick Victor I don't know how to pronounce his last name but he's
- 1:22:12
Victor you know who he is my question to y'all is uh this guy is being called arguably
- 1:22:23
the greatest Prospect ever uh we know what teams we're trying to do
- 1:22:28
to get the number one pick for him he's an alien he's seven foot six with Kevin Durant abilities
- 1:22:35
I'm about to ask y'all a really stupid question that requires y'all to project
- 1:22:41
a little bit my question is are we sure
- 1:22:48
that Victor bamboo should be
- 1:22:53
the first pick of the draft yes I would say yes please tell me more
- 1:23:00
I I would say yes because even if he's a bust right even if he
- 1:23:07
don't do [ __ ] his upside is so high that you can't afford to pass them up
- 1:23:14
like [ __ ] will start losing a job if they don't draft him and he turns out to be good I heard that in design draft too
- 1:23:20
true and now look his potential was his potential was high I told y'all the other day that that's how they was
- 1:23:25
touting Zion y'all argue with me but let me throw this out there before you continue I want to interrupt you part of
- 1:23:31
why New Orleans is talking about trading Zion is because they are really high on scoot
- 1:23:40
Henderson who I've been talking about here for a while who looks like a man child
- 1:23:46
it's better than good he's good no he's under Steph Curry's Wing now there's this footage out there of him
- 1:23:52
and Steph Curry practicing threes if he can get a shot the word is that he
- 1:23:58
absolutely killed his his uh combine whatever that was that they did yeah
- 1:24:04
like uh step back threes mid-range like
- 1:24:09
what what we've been talking about about him his jumper he went crazy on he's 18 he's built like a linebacker he's faster
- 1:24:16
than everybody and jumps higher than everybody are we sure
- 1:24:23
that Victor ceiling is higher than scooped yes I'm not no feeling
- 1:24:30
I am not you can't teach thighs somebody that's six two that's some old
- 1:24:35
enough listen you could be that tall and not be the best also there's some perks to come along with being that tall as
- 1:24:41
y'all mean I mean not perks downsides that come along with being there yeah come on it's
- 1:24:47
just a stick yeah but I'ma say this scoot Hendersons you'll find
- 1:24:55
before you find another victim and I'm not ready to say that yet there we go
- 1:25:00
um I'm not ready to I'm not jumping on that wagon the kid from Alabama was tough I don't care about none of the kid
- 1:25:06
from Houston is tough they got some good people school and Vic nah all y'all
- 1:25:12
other [ __ ] is second fiddle and five seconds I know it's a d draft it's a deep draft I'm not trying to play nobody I know it's a deep draft but Victor
- 1:25:20
scooped I won't be sold on it all right I'm not sold watch the footage of scoot against
- 1:25:27
Victor no this [ __ ] don't matter we will revisit this we definitely will y'all have Victor as a lock for rookie
- 1:25:33
of the year uh no see I didn't say that I said his upside is way more impressive
- 1:25:38
than schools so School where's rookie year that won't mean nothing to y'all no then you will be proven right no no I
- 1:25:44
don't say that all right because y'all that's one year sure you're right we'll see
- 1:25:50
where Victor has the advantage of San Antonio and Greg Popovich organization culture system teaching all
- 1:25:57
of that you get you get the wisdom of how to play basketball to go along with your physical
- 1:26:02
attributes which is why I wouldn't be surprised or shocked or whatever giving you the W if scoot were to win because
- 1:26:09
there's a chance that like they won't play him down there if he's not ready Vic like on a full-time suit like
- 1:26:16
most of the game all game like if you're not ready you're not built yeah but he's gameplay pop they team ain't
- 1:26:24
that good um and pop calls the shots there pop does what
- 1:26:30
he want in San Antonio you feel what I'm saying that team ain't made that good but they made that bad they ain't that bad they middle of the room
- 1:26:37
and they got some good pieces and his reports that already that Atlanta is looking to trade uh de jonte really
- 1:26:44
really that's quick yeah well we'll see it might be a fire sale over here we heard the same thing about Trey young so
- 1:26:50
we'll see I think that with this draft is about to be a lot of movement there's about to be a lot of Trades I'm anxious
- 1:26:55
to see I want to see what happens with Bradley Bill I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait to see it I like Colin Bradley
- 1:27:01
everybody's calling Brandy it's a Sacramento it's at the Knicks
- 1:27:07
we'll see we'll see I can't wait you make a lot of money though he does he makes a lot of money
- 1:27:15
see what's going on I gotta see what the Knicks do y'all got money too we got everything
- 1:27:21
y'all got some bread we got money we got draft picks we got tradable contracts we got everything yeah I got some money we
- 1:27:27
ready to rock uh all right what else is going on yo the uh uh the melee trial the melee trial the Melly trowel
- 1:27:36
I don't y'all I don't think they I don't think they can kill that kid based off uh all this circumstantial evidence they
- 1:27:42
have all the evidence in the world except for a motive and a weapon
- 1:27:50
to prove murder you got to have motive and intent they don't really have none of that no Witnesses they got a lot of [ __ ]
- 1:28:00
song like actual [ __ ] what listen the song and I don't want to say this
- 1:28:06
because to me it makes matters worse they say the song came out before the
- 1:28:11
murders happened oh okay that changes things look more
- 1:28:16
circumstantial [ __ ] huh you get what I'm saying they they are presenting a lot of circumstances
- 1:28:21
[ __ ] they got [ __ ] hey we got uh him
- 1:28:26
dming somebody the day of the crime saying I did it
- 1:28:32
on Instagram you read that oh we got it got him
- 1:28:37
but we [ __ ] she finally gave you some [ __ ] dog I did it right who's to say it ain't that
- 1:28:45
right prosecution tried to introduce a whole bunch of old Snapchat [ __ ] to
- 1:28:51
speak to this man's character um it's just a message there's a lot of
- 1:28:57
circumstances it's a bunch of [ __ ] and you could be a piece of [ __ ] though I mean what I'm saying is even if you
- 1:29:02
believe that this dude did that the case that is being presented
- 1:29:09
is you cannot this is a death penalty it's definitely
- 1:29:15
this is a death penalty case you can't you cannot take that man you cannot take that kid's life
- 1:29:20
based off again he could be a dirtbag he could be a weasel none of that matters
- 1:29:25
so when they start bringing the character [ __ ] in it does play a part in bruh I think he gets a mystery yeah I
- 1:29:32
think you get a hung jury yeah I think so depending on who the jurors are could
- 1:29:39
you imagine that you're the man your life being in the hands of
- 1:29:44
my lawyer the prosecution the judge 12 people
- 1:29:50
I would be scared shitless scared to death because I've been scared for a lot he up there acting like it's a game even
- 1:29:56
blowing kisses to people laughing and joking I'm joking I would see some of that [ __ ] this is what I said with the
- 1:30:03
Tory [ __ ] some of that [ __ ] just don't bold well some of these younger guys I don't want to call them kids no more I
- 1:30:10
think they'd be having like a detached sense of reality like even the jaw [ __ ]
- 1:30:15
like fam you not too big they could take this [ __ ] away from you and I don't think these kids think that that is a
- 1:30:21
possibility you're right and I agree with you but I was a lot Dumber at days too that's what makes it tough that's what
- 1:30:28
makes it tough and 1819 I didn't have what they had it was real stupid too I was that's true
- 1:30:34
like even and I and I gave John some Grace y'all remember I came up here and gave him Grace and sometimes it's like
- 1:30:40
yo dog [ __ ] are you doing I just think you can't kill that kid never ever ever I don't never know
- 1:30:48
uh what else what else would I say Boosie got arrested do we know what the charges are
- 1:30:55
no they said he was fighting a gun case uh that got dismissed uh and the feds were there to pick him
- 1:31:02
up on something totally unrelated to that case he didn't put out a message to apologize
- 1:31:08
to his kids telling his kids I love you then the report came out that he's putting his Rolls Royce up for sale but
- 1:31:14
that might have been an old old post that might not be current so I don't want to speak to that uh but I don't
- 1:31:21
know what he did I don't know what the charges are I know it's the feds yes
- 1:31:26
I know it's the third yeah they didn't that doesn't bother with us yeah he's
- 1:31:33
staying the [ __ ] mix yeah he was arrested by federal agents outside the courthouse as soon as it was a his
- 1:31:38
gun case hearing wrapped um but it was also in the same Courthouse as the melee trial
- 1:31:45
correct yeah and so he was and so he was attending that
- 1:31:50
um and then you know he put out a tweet that he thinks he wants to start practicing law because he doesn't want
- 1:31:56
all his black boys to go down and that sort of thing um but the father of melly's victim was
- 1:32:04
like just blasting boozy for even showing up pussy's been really uh vocal
- 1:32:11
with regards to some of the evidence that is being presented against um Mellie like yo some they got an
- 1:32:18
eyewitness saying that um they they saw somebody throw him out the car and he like yo if you wasn't in
- 1:32:24
the car you couldn't see nobody throw him out the car [ __ ] he was he could have jumped out the car yeah so oh then
- 1:32:30
then melly's lawyer bodied it when I guess at one point he he got the uh
- 1:32:36
Sheriff do to say that where they said the bullet holes were was a speculation
- 1:32:42
by them that they concocted it wasn't it wasn't precise like the defense lawyer
- 1:32:47
is clearly doing a real good job we'll see what happens with that uh prayers to everybody and
- 1:32:53
you don't want to be a dick because somebody really did lose their life lost their life so we don't want to be
- 1:33:00
you know insensitive to that but gotta do your job I hope they give that uh that iPad white
- 1:33:09
lady murderer the [ __ ] life don't worry about iPad see see and this
- 1:33:16
is what I mean they don't get the coverage this is what I mean I'm not this is not the part for it you said nothing another
- 1:33:23
part I'll get to it but There's real [ __ ] going on in the middle
- 1:33:29
of the country I'm going to play this I didn't want to play oh the woman that um I know exactly what you're talking about
- 1:33:36
this woman um walked up to her neighbors I'll let you go a woman's children were playing I'll
- 1:33:44
just play it I'll just played it let me see here fun cast please don't just watch me and
- 1:33:51
talk to each other this is a conversation thing right so the woman's kids were outside playing
- 1:33:56
um and when the kids came back in they said that their iPod their their iPad was gone it was taken by like the
- 1:34:02
neighbors kids there are no words we are Beyond this is the mother of the woman that died broken
- 1:34:09
up over here talking to the mother Pamela how are the grandkids
- 1:34:14
and what can you tell us this whole clip yeah because it's important
- 1:34:22
listen to this on Friday June 2nd by playing in an open field of privately
- 1:34:29
owned open field as kids do my nine-year-old grandson
- 1:34:35
forgot his tablet he went back to retrieve it Susan Lawrence was there to harass him
- 1:34:42
he called him racial slurs said this is not the Underground Railroad he slayed
- 1:34:51
she threw a skate at him broke his tablet
- 1:34:56
so he did what any normal kid would do and he went home and told his mother
- 1:35:01
my daughter ashika and my nine-year-old grandson went across the street
- 1:35:07
to ask questions she was met with a bullet through a
- 1:35:13
locked metal door with her nine-year-old son standing next to her
- 1:35:21
my 12 year old grandson had to make the necessary calls for help
- 1:35:28
so awful I don't hear enough about this roller coaster devastating
- 1:35:34
then she continued and it really [ __ ] me up I have four young grandchildren
- 1:35:40
the two oldest boys they blame themselves oh boy the
- 1:35:45
nine-year-old feels as if he hadn't left his tablet his mother would still be
- 1:35:51
here the 12 year old he couldn't do anything to save her
- 1:35:58
he has already started trauma therapy good that was recommended
- 1:36:05
immediately for him I'm cutting it off before I cry I don't hear enough about this out there disgusting I ain't on and
- 1:36:12
about it was um this was like about a week and a half ago
- 1:36:18
it's black women who are murdered go missing Etc et
- 1:36:23
cetera these are stories that just do not make you know big headlines they just don't that's the reality of the
- 1:36:30
situation it takes Sean King or Amanda SEALS or you know just activists who
- 1:36:36
push the story up to the top for people to and don't allow anybody to ignore it
- 1:36:42
you know what I'm saying like in the case of trump and his indictments everybody just skated over the JP Morgan
- 1:36:48
290 million dollar payout to the victims there's stuff that makes it to the top
- 1:36:53
that we listen to that's really just a [ __ ] red herring it's a distraction from what's really going on and this
- 1:37:00
story is horrific this was the neighbor was a racist piece of [ __ ] I hope she I hope she gets
- 1:37:07
I hope she gets the book thrown in her what state was this Florida no because she's already claiming stand
- 1:37:13
your ground she already is miserable just wrinkled old testicle looking
- 1:37:20
[ __ ] that one's not gonna fly we'll see we'll see what happens she shot her through the door and um
- 1:37:27
and she died like very shortly after I would think there would have to actually be a physical interaction for there to be standard
- 1:37:33
ground yeah that's nice you got to feel threatened yeah she she's arguing she felt threatened by the fact that the
- 1:37:39
woman came to her door and was on her property yeah she can make up a whole dialogue about what the lady was saying behind closed doors potentially
- 1:37:46
um I don't know Florida's laws that well but Florida is run by Governor DeSantis
- 1:37:53
I don't know what the laws are that would determine if this is a stick or not I swear to God next thing next thing
- 1:37:59
we're going to turn around and This Woman's gonna have like a [ __ ] one million dollar GoFundMe defense on his way that's probably already started yeah
- 1:38:05
I wouldn't be shocked well because there's two sides to a coin so again you're gonna always have those people I don't want to highlight those things
- 1:38:11
[ __ ] them they have their own platforms to highlight themselves I want to highlight these kids that lost their mom
- 1:38:17
and this woman that lost her [ __ ] daughter over her iPad and now gotta raise these four kids and one of the
- 1:38:24
kids happened to witness the murder and was right there over a [ __ ] iPad I want to highlight that portion of this
- 1:38:32
once we get into uh once we get into listen homeboy was just indicted uh Daniel uh what's his game the Train the
- 1:38:38
train murderer what's his name um Perry Petty I forget [ __ ] himself yeah [ __ ] him too
- 1:38:45
basically but yeah he was just indicted for a second degree murder I have his name Daniel Penny Penny Daniel Penny
- 1:38:50
indicted that one is probably going to be a bit tougher that's going to be a bit tougher his dad
- 1:38:57
is has got resources and connections yeah that part was making tough uh
- 1:39:03
well and there's other witnesses that say all I do was bugging out so this is going to be open for
- 1:39:09
interpretation I don't think that any civilian should be able to
- 1:39:14
uh fatally choke someone you can stop doing me and you can still do them yeah yeah but I don't but
- 1:39:20
yeah I don't think you should be able to choke somebody to death I don't and if the police don't know when to stop
- 1:39:26
choking someone to death then how could you assume that a civilian does right I don't like anything about that hopefully
- 1:39:33
Justice is served in that case as well rest in peace to the man that lost his
- 1:39:38
life Jordanelle Jordan Natalie the kids from this case that is that
- 1:39:44
really but indictment ain't enough indictment ain't enough yeah indictment is not enough so hopefully we see more
- 1:39:50
on that as well all right ladies and gentlemen
- 1:39:55
we have a guest indeed we got a [ __ ] guest I'm excited about too same I know
- 1:40:02

- 1:42:30
did and now I heard it yeah different conversation what was wrong with you
- 1:42:37
people don't just rap like that Mike oh man I mean when that mic a little closer please it's it's been a it's been a
- 1:42:43
journey it's been a it's been a 20-year journey and um and I say that proudly because you know a lot of times you know
- 1:42:49
rap you get shame you know what I mean because of age or time or whatever but my favorite rapper Scarface to me you
- 1:42:55
know since 1987 never dropped a whack record ever you know what I mean so
- 1:43:01
that's what that's my ambition so I embrace it but man I just I I didn't
- 1:43:06
want to die and and and people have not seen my truest potential and greatest
- 1:43:12
potential so I had to do it you know I almost I covet laid me face down on my face right after run the jewels Fort is
- 1:43:19
about to drop we about to go on a world tour we about to kill it covet happens but I go home and catch Kobe before they
- 1:43:25
even name it my man butter God bless the dead his father Robert senior died I went to the funeral I came home and I
- 1:43:30
was on my face for two weeks I in the bed like thinking I'm gonna go and when I came out of that I was just like man I
- 1:43:36
gotta I gotta do it go over it again after that now caught it one more time I said I caught a mile cases
- 1:43:44
but me and coz Lightyear was working um shouts out to cuz who put his career
- 1:43:49
on pause the a r the album we was working on a mixtape like a village tape that was crazy you know I mean it was
- 1:43:54
just you know when you and your raw rapping homeboy get together y'all just said we should go crazy but man I had these solo Snippets and records and
- 1:44:00
freestyles and he was like bro it's just time just go ahead and let them know and let's do it and I don't I didn't want to
- 1:44:07
I didn't want to go without people knowing you know it's like you get you get talked about who your top five and
- 1:44:13
tens you get your your your secondary tertiary arguments and then you get your
- 1:44:31
any anybody you talk about I haven't been on a record with it went crazy but even even the younger fan do you feel do
- 1:44:38
you give that to them too and [ __ ] have they had to wake up I woke him up usually I wake up by showing
- 1:44:43
up whoever you like the most I'll get on the record with them and go [ __ ] crazy and say oh my God Mike I never would
- 1:44:50
have like a [ __ ] called me this morning on the way up here good [ __ ] man he called me we're on businesses next to each other he said
- 1:44:56
man you know I never really listened to you I say [ __ ] I know you know it's all good but he said man I listen to this
- 1:45:02
three times already this morning so I say it's just time you know to to get off the I don't want to be on the
- 1:45:07
underrated list I don't want to be on on an episode on a song I want [ __ ] to be like oh he was the one and and
- 1:45:14
anybody who the one this morning waking up reevaluating what the [ __ ] they did in the studio I was going away you know
- 1:45:20
you put working we all work you put worker you can hear it you can feel it like this is not what a lot of people do
- 1:45:25
now is just you know do what they do status quo [ __ ] yeah you put extra work absolutely absolutely and you got to you
- 1:45:33
got to I agree speaking of stat code like stack Cole's one of the best rappers how about Atlanta right and
- 1:45:38
[ __ ] slept on them I always thought that was criminal I'm sorry to Prince one of the best rappers from Atlanta criminally slept on I'm just
- 1:45:45
like I'm not sure I'm not gonna sleep on me slow down I got a thing so no size one is the best rappers
- 1:45:53
I'm telling him to stop not because of the rapping ability of the people's name
- 1:45:58
yeah that's undeniable for me stat quote it was you got to get in the right label
- 1:46:06
situation with people who understand you and are willing to Market what you do and I don't think stat quote fell he
- 1:46:12
didn't get the right shot like stat quote stack quote put out what are your grits girls raised in the South oh yeah
- 1:46:18
like they was trying to Market him just I mean they had me to Adidas they do that a lot like like I I Adidas won my
- 1:46:24
record it was an outcast record they didn't use and Colombia was like well we don't know what to do with Killer Mike so we just give them you know we're
- 1:46:31
gonna encourage you to do it you know but that's what big companies do but you you got to figure it out yeah same and
- 1:46:38
same with time yeah right like you got to be careful you in that good music system you you got Kanye you got all the
- 1:46:44
support in the world but then when things get a little tricky like what can you lean on that's why I'm
- 1:46:50
big enough Gunners so much because thrust into this situation that he's in with the world against him yeah and with
- 1:46:58
seemingly no support he showed up he showed up as his album today released
- 1:47:03
with yours is phenomenal it ain't as good as mine but yeah
- 1:47:11
I didn't say that I'm not fine if phenomenal is heals then what's the
- 1:47:16
next word up for passing I like you yeah I like my talking that [ __ ] I don't think I ever heard it yeah there ain't
- 1:47:22
no difference because I haven't and it's like you you you stay humble and you expect it to come but it ain't gonna
- 1:47:27
come to you slam dunk on a [ __ ] like God bless the dead you know I mean a lot of [ __ ] didn't die waiting on the [ __ ]
- 1:47:33
acknowledgment I can't wait on that like God bless him I fought with God alone I never took his pictures down out my shop he's one of the first people to support
- 1:47:39
the swag shop his love but that album don't compare to Michael no album that dropped today though
- 1:47:45
I don't know if there's El Nazir that compares to yours yeah I don't think so I I heard four songs
- 1:47:54
but I ain't nothing comparing the money I love it and that's from the girls the blue films Michael they hit me this
- 1:48:01
morning what for you is the difference that you said you said yeah it started as a mixtape yeah for you what is the
- 1:48:08
difference today between labeling something a mixtape versus album versus EP how does that count against you
- 1:48:15
against anything I can't even say count four against I just know I me and cuz reached our ceiling we put together a
- 1:48:21
phenomenal mixtape we had the samples we had to we cleared energy you know we had
- 1:48:27
them clear we had to be you know it's easy to clear samples today but when we went and got with no ID it's like it's
- 1:48:33
like it's like when you when you get to the point like I did all I can do now I got to go visit I got to go visit Yoda I
- 1:48:40
got to go sit in the swamp with my phone and Dion what he what he showed us is
- 1:48:46
that follow your instinct play with Pros don't play with people who trying to get them to understand play with the people
- 1:48:52
who gonna walk in the room get it understand and go that direction and take you further so when Damo came in to
- 1:48:57
play bass Damon heard the bass lines we had but Damon said well quiet that and then he said oh my God
- 1:49:06
the best ones and then don't don't Chase every Trend pick the people you
- 1:49:13
running with and go all the way through Aaron Allen Kane Hannibal Burrs introduced us to her once we heard her
- 1:49:18
once we wanted to hear four five times so when it was time to sing again we called her we're gonna we're gonna let
- 1:49:25
you tell us no but we gonna make the call Ty Dollar came in for one record he left and said give me two you know so
- 1:49:31
when you playing with Pros you play ball at a pro level so play and deal with
- 1:49:36
people who are dare I say better or have had more success You're Gonna Learn it's
- 1:49:41
gonna tweak you it's going to sharpen your knife and that's what I did Killer Mike most people can't get in touch with other people most people can't find the
- 1:49:49
people that's better than them or can help like that like that's the thing I told you yesterday about even working being able to work with no ID like that
- 1:49:55
no ID [ __ ] call and say yeah y'all I need you and he said get the [ __ ] out my face no just don't ask no you know you
- 1:50:02
can't talk to [ __ ] on another planet somewhere so for you to even have access to the people that are on this project
- 1:50:08
and for them to be so willing to give their best foot yeah yeah it speaks volumes yeah I've been blessed man I've
- 1:50:14
been I've been I've been but you know when people say I got it out the mud the people say they wanted they want to be on their own Merit it's gonna take time
- 1:50:22
you're gonna suffer you gonna you're gonna you're gonna bleed a little you're gonna cry a lot but if you stay
- 1:50:27
dedicated if you're a dog about it like I heard nip I watched the whole interview when he say essentially what he was is just tenacious he wouldn't
- 1:50:34
give up you know I remember when Nick dropped that rap [ __ ] I remember calling cuz like oh cousin went crazy because like you know I mean I was like
- 1:50:41
man he didn't finally found his stroke you know what I mean and I think that I have understood I've become a better MC
- 1:50:48
by being one half of run the jewels because I developed a greater discipline you know after me and L did rap music
- 1:50:54
which was also 11 years ago certified Classics I could feel the shift I knew I knew I
- 1:51:01
was as good as I ever thought I was and I was better than I could be I knew it was one half of run the jewels that if I
- 1:51:08
took the discipline that I saw L had in terms of production and in terms of what how he took right I knew if I if I used
- 1:51:15
that that I'd be sharper so going into this man it down it wasn't hard it was easy like I'm I'm shooting from half
- 1:51:21
court knowing the ball gonna go in at this point so as exciting as this is wait do y'all hear what we do on Michael
- 1:51:27
two and three because it's gonna be a trinity wow so how far were you on the album when you went to know ID like how
- 1:51:33
what percentage year in it took us about two years two and a half years because about a year in was about a year in
- 1:51:38
before we sat down and we was at Stakeout it was just like what damn we when it did everything we
- 1:51:43
could do we didn't what what do we do now and I talked to Dion about it but he was like when y'all already he had sent
- 1:51:48
us the Beats we had was sending Rick he said when y'all ready to come out here and um you know about a quarter million
- 1:51:54
dollars in I went out to L.A and I didn't tell my wife I was going to spend another quarter million dollars so
- 1:52:00
she just seen the account string like [ __ ] what the [ __ ] is wrong with you got another family in Colombia
- 1:52:07
no baby I got a drink I said you know I told I use analogy of Noah I say God told me to build a boat you know and and
- 1:52:14
here we sit today and then planks cost yeah and the plates
- 1:52:21
you know and she received that from you yeah I mean I got to pay her back you know white folk give me my money I got
- 1:52:26
to put it back you know she gonna make sure y'all yeah she don't play my [ __ ] with them she grew up in a project in
- 1:52:32
the liquor house so she a business no you talk about your wife all the time yeah I believe him you talk about your
- 1:52:37
wife all the time that's fine I follow you on Instagram yeah yeah I'm just sitting here super fast yeah I
- 1:52:42
appreciate I appreciate it I just I love I literally love how you talk about your wife on Instagram she is your queen it's
- 1:52:49
easy when you tell the truth as you go to the flying with me and you know what I mean she um she let me be a man and
- 1:52:54
she encouraged that I loved that about it you know she ain't she don't let insecurity and ego ruler so now I appreciate that you know because I got a
- 1:53:01
very beautiful wife and you know I mean no no surgeries needed no extras you know she she do the [ __ ] I don't like you know she do eyelash and [ __ ] like
- 1:53:08
this I'm blessing that she's confident in herself and so you know she she we do
- 1:53:15
cool things together I haven't I just wanted to take another fan moment for um one of my favorite features ever that
- 1:53:21
you've ever done is um kill Jill oh [ __ ] I was literally I
- 1:53:26
was blasting that in my car like two days ago it is one of my favorite songs and it's your feature that makes one of
- 1:53:32
that song one of my favorites thank you man so quick story on that because I just hung up with big boy who man just thank him for for like any time being in
- 1:53:40
the studio I just run through and I just say oh this is rapping I just drop verses Big probably got a couple albums
- 1:53:45
on me but my man PK pretty Ken from the attic crew the guys who discovered the youngbloods PK calls me out of nowhere
- 1:53:52
you say Hey fat boy I say what he say fat boy I got a record for you man I say for real he said yeah he say it's a hit
- 1:53:59
he say you just got to do this [ __ ] now so I pull up to the studio I'm just like oh [ __ ] this [ __ ] is nasty
- 1:54:07
man and um then I say damn I can't use it though and he like what
- 1:54:13
the [ __ ] you know I said I mean I'm saying I'm gonna run the jewels we gotta get four run the jewels records I knew
- 1:54:18
it wasn't to run the jewels record so I said man I Gotta Give it I got to give it to one of my partners and it's like a
- 1:54:23
partner could tour with and being is constantly on the road so at this point I'm still just like do whatever it takes
- 1:54:30
for you to keep stay on the road so I take it a bit I say look I got a great record for you man it's dope I got one
- 1:54:36
request just let me stay first you know it says let me stay first big as a pattern Master him and guys like Wayne
- 1:54:43
Missy Elliott they Master patterns I was like I can't let this [ __ ] get in front of me he gonna come up with a pattern
- 1:54:48
let me stay in big big did directly put out as a single took me out on the road
- 1:54:53
you know and I still pop up with him so I appreciate it and I learned in that moment you know do what's best for
- 1:55:00
what's best for you and run the jewels is best for me so I did what was best for my group by letting a solo record by
- 1:55:06
lending it to my my mentor and giving it to him so I still get to be a part of the record but thank
- 1:55:17
rappers in terms of if you hear me on a song with black thought and Pusha T is
- 1:55:22
not going to sound like the same guy that's on kill Jill's not gonna sound like Never Scared not gonna sound like
- 1:55:27
you know the guy that's popular I'm gonna run the jewels I pride myself on that because you don't care Styles you don't get ripped
- 1:55:46
no [ __ ] I often on this podcast speak about
- 1:55:51
because it's fans listening so fans only acknowledge your finished product yeah
- 1:55:57
I often try to talk about the feeling as an emcee when one of them other goats
- 1:56:03
come in to do the same song yeah and some of the pressure that comes with that what's he about to say what's he
- 1:56:10
about to do what uncanny ability he about to showcase on my [ __ ] can you speak to us and me particularly about
- 1:56:17
how it feels to know that three stacks is coming new
- 1:56:23
Three Stacks flew Japan yeah that's my guy like how does that
- 1:56:30
that's pressure how'd you sleep the night before when did you know this was coming man when he came he I literally called
- 1:56:37
him just to say man come this to the record because I care what him and big boy think like they gave me an opportunity to change my life and so I'm
- 1:56:44
never gonna you know I tell people all the time I said we sit in the room before I say I'm thirsty I'm gonna grow I'm grabbing some water like because
- 1:56:50
that's that's me that's my dog he gave me I understand the order you know that's my man
- 1:56:55
um so it matters what he and Dre think about my music so big had already gave
- 1:57:01
me the thumbs up big had already gave me a great rate on stank onto you so spotted at 250 went to stank on you
- 1:57:07
um and when Drake was like yeah he said I'll pull up and check it out he pulled up and checked it out and then before he
- 1:57:13
left he said you mind if I come back tomorrow and bring some records
- 1:57:21
bring that goddamn flute [ __ ] he came back and cuz had said cuz said I
- 1:57:29
don't care what he come back with cuz we using it and I'm like I don't get [ __ ] this [ __ ] we using
- 1:57:37
something and when he played it man he played that and I'm just like the pattern was crazy the beat was and I was
- 1:57:42
just like God damn like [ __ ] how I'ma rap over this this beat
- 1:57:48
you know I mean and and that the challenge is less about the other person and more about how do I make sure I
- 1:57:54
don't let down the work that's already happened you know like I don't want to be to stay a piece of bread on the
- 1:58:00
sandwich so after him and future got on the DF that's when I felt the pressure because ain't nobody gonna not like Drea
- 1:58:07
future how does that collaboration come together it seems like an odd pairing at first um
- 1:58:12
so Dungeon Family are they're out of these period you know there's a yes they're like um they're like the
- 1:58:18
Fantastic Four nobody's liking everybody's superheroes so when when that when when I heard when Dre hit
- 1:58:24
future and bail out them and and Futures on then I was that's when I started by my nails like okay fat boy what you
- 1:58:30
gonna do you know what I mean you got Drake the super smooth like you know all the ladies all the ladies that are
- 1:58:35
esoteric and go you know to the mjq you know they gonna love Drey all the guys who wanted to be rappers and Master
- 1:58:40
Blaster Caster rappers you know they gonna love Drake then Future come in it's just like man
- 1:58:45
toxic lyricism [Music] gonna kill it and then I'm like okay fat
- 1:58:51
what what you gonna do and I went in my a man I'm a MC back I dropped I did six
- 1:58:57
or seven verses before I loved what I did I liked a lot of you [ __ ] right talk about that get comfortable with
- 1:59:04
what you like don't get comfortable with accepting good enough the devil is in
- 1:59:10
Comfort the devil lies in Comfort time you get comfortable enough that's when the devil of I lacked or I let myself
- 1:59:17
slip that day you know what I'm saying and that's what the [ __ ] happened and I'm like them other verses literally I
- 1:59:22
remember like even like cousin and my manager will me cousin will look like a trifecta I have a manager who actually
- 1:59:27
likes music they was like nah that was good I'm just like I call cousin next day like nah cuz that ain't it and then
- 1:59:34
one day out of nowhere the pattern just hit and I was like I got it I got it I
- 1:59:40
knew I had that [ __ ] I knew I had it and when we went in and did it you got Dre and James Blake did his part
- 1:59:47
you got no ID doing Futures part and then they called DJ Pauly and they give me the drums and it was you gotta get
- 1:59:53
[ __ ] it was awesome it's
- 2:00:06
I just want to play a little bit of this yeah he started the verse like that I'm going to Dunkin Donuts
- 2:00:12
you start the verse like that I'm going to Kroger's yeah yeah for real I told them they sound
- 2:00:18
like aliens in the studio you've done your family [ __ ] are crazy it's an honor to be my first phone call today
- 2:00:23
was Rico way so you know me and Rico got a I'm from they're from Southwest Atlanta and I'm from the west side of
- 2:00:30
Atlanta so the West Side me T.I you can see our west side has got a little more
- 2:00:36
a little more Rough Around the Edges sometimes we use big words but we're a customer out of the middle of the Street
- 2:00:42
Southwest Atlanta you know what I mean they're they're a little smoothing cooler so over the years you know Rico
- 2:00:48
and I have been on different sides of the street not in a bad way just like no I don't like that you know what I mean
- 2:00:54
and Keel this is what you should do but man I was honored to get a call from read this morning it just sounded excited like like kill I'm proud of your
- 2:01:00
dog like folks calling me my cousin Mr DJ called and told me he went crazy and his voice is the first voice you hear on
- 2:01:07
now that's Rico doing essentially serving the voice of Atlanta through it but getting that call from Rico meant a
- 2:01:13
lot to me and I want him to know that they like man I got so much love respect him and sleepy brown and Ray Murray Ray
- 2:01:18
was serving as a ghost essentially in the studio with me and cuz just he Raya
- 2:01:24
come in roll the blunt say I like what you're doing but that don't sound Southern enough if you're gonna do
- 2:01:30
it it needs to be as cohesive as a chronic it needs to be as Southern as anything we were doing in the 90s biology and then you just walk back out
- 2:01:37
and me and cousins in the goddamn room like yo but you say that is exactly what I
- 2:01:43
hear on your album yeah that what you just described like beautiful art but the MC in me was like
- 2:01:51
oh man this sounds frustrating to do to execute this sounds like the greatest of
- 2:01:57
the greatest was in there saying nah not good enough yet nope put another beat do it again oh man and I'm gonna tell you
- 2:02:03
go harder I don't like the concept the honor write it better The Honorable C note the [ __ ] honorable C note my my
- 2:02:10
fat boy brother who dress fresh and wear a good cologne this [ __ ] man I love them and he's a goddamn [ __ ]
- 2:02:18
seat belt will come in and literally just I mean I just thought I had did the most perfect [ __ ] and just
- 2:02:23
say you didn't say that right like what you mean I didn't say that right this one line I'm like [ __ ] you just heard
- 2:02:29
nah change that line and he'd be right you know what I'm saying so keep it keep a team around you that wants to be
- 2:02:36
excellent they don't want to be so you know got that that chubby kid chip on his shoulder too like me like like
- 2:02:42
[ __ ] y'all gonna see me you know I mean and I and I I just appreciate that like because you need to be pushed
- 2:02:49
you need to be driven if you get a foot somebody need to say you could have got another inch or two out of it and um I'd
- 2:02:55
never make records the same again and I could tell he had fun doing this
- 2:03:03
[ __ ] all the way through man all the way through I had so much fun we work like a regular job we was working third shifts
- 2:03:09
we go in at 10 at night and we leave at four or six in the morning we take the weekends off someone as we say I mean
- 2:03:15
some nights we say [ __ ] work just go to the blue flame get inspired
- 2:03:20
we literally just acted like guys working at UPS on the third shift and it it got more fun because
- 2:03:27
it the pressure was just on creating the dopest art it wasn't in I have to meet a deadline because it was coming out of my
- 2:03:34
bank account you know it was I didn't have it it wasn't in it's all Indie right sorry yeah it's all it's all in I
- 2:03:40
partnered with Loma Vista now and they've been a great you know partnership shout out to Tom and um Ryan and you know um Dart and Adam over there
- 2:03:47
it's just it really the whole team every the kids who work in digital over there are excited and it's good to be a part
- 2:03:53
of a partnership in which that excitement happened so yeah it started just totally out of my pocket it was the it was the [ __ ] it was the Killer Mike
- 2:04:00
[ __ ] fun and uh you know and it turned into this partnership but but I put you
- 2:04:05
know I put my money into it I put my time into it but I put my heart and soul into it and that's what made it fun it
- 2:04:10
was me and my friend cuz in the studio it was it was people like Ray Murray Rico C note falling through just you
- 2:04:17
know it was you know it was getting Metro beats I remember him to see note work and he just hit me out of nowhere just with some encouragement Mike will
- 2:04:23
hit me out of nowhere just with some encouragement so I'm just like man you never know what them positive words to
- 2:04:28
do for folks and um yeah yeah I mean he just called my phone
- 2:04:34
yeah you know but even with cool and Dre man like I just man I'd known him since
- 2:04:39
my first half and it was one of the last producers on my first album had I met them before they might have did half the first album it took me over a decade to
- 2:04:45
get back with them and we get back when we created magic you know what I'm saying so I just wanted to make before I
- 2:04:51
got out of here a piece of art that would give me I want 10 more years I want 15 more years and
- 2:04:56
this record starts that it's a reset but my wife woke up and she said happy Resurrection Day
- 2:05:02
you were born again this is a new thing you are you're not the same artist
- 2:05:07
[Applause] [Music] how is it doing today with maintaining the family life like
- 2:05:16
well man I gotta I got an interesting family they they crazy you know my wife hang out with me she don't stay home and
- 2:05:23
wait on me you know she don't hate the studio as much but you know she might fall through she might be on her way to the flame you know what I mean okay so
- 2:05:30
um you know my my daughter who's 25 now she's just never slept so she'll keep me in three in one Daddy what you doing you
- 2:05:37
know what I'm saying I need some money so it was it was no different than every working man but I I appreciate it
- 2:05:43
working those hours because it re-grounded me in terms of I needed to feel like a working man again like when
- 2:05:50
you hear me say you know I'm back to the uh back to the Dickies and Bucks looking like I drive a truck you know that meant
- 2:05:58
the world of me because I needed to put myself in the mentality of be consistent do the same thing on a daily basis and
- 2:06:05
good is gonna lead to Greatness and the outcome is going to be great on the other side discipline my man Bello tells
- 2:06:11
me I've lost 47 pounds trying to lose congratulations congratulations congratulations darlok says to me
- 2:06:18
Joy discipline brings joy and joy brings discipline and I don't I'm not instinctively a disciplined person I
- 2:06:24
don't like I don't like Conformity I don't like rules and [ __ ] but I can say the more I have set my own
- 2:06:32
parameters in in guidelines the more joy joy feel my life has become
- 2:06:39
tell us something about killing Mike outside of Killer Mike Michael who is yeah out no not the album
- 2:06:47
don't try don't you try don't you try it don't you try it it's all right there tell me
- 2:06:53
about Michael the person what is what does Michael enjoy doing outside of
- 2:07:01
music if you have free time collecting art and toys I nerd it out on your art
- 2:07:06
here um thank you I collect art I collect toys I take pictures of toy cars
- 2:07:12
um I'm you know friends with the president of Hot Wheels yeah it's like no I used to do the model cars when I
- 2:07:18
was a kid you know I have two dads I have a bio on a non-bioday and my non-bioday as a toy collector and stuff
- 2:07:23
so he he's always in loud and encouraged that so but yeah I like toys they get along yeah of course they do that they
- 2:07:29
both love my mama they better get along my mama
- 2:07:35
[Applause] but you know what I I I I respect it in
- 2:07:41
my those men because you know having grown up I'm not willing to share my kids like we tried that experiment my
- 2:07:46
youngest daughter her mom got married and [ __ ] I was really cool with him and she tried to be all inclusive you know he was he was weird I like him a lot he
- 2:07:54
was coached my youngest son in football but he never just fell out of the wind like we raising this little girl together so when they got divorced I was
- 2:08:00
like don't worry champ I got this you know what I'm saying back back to just me and her because I don't I don't like to share like that but so I admire both
- 2:08:07
my fathers and that my grandparents raised me they were both involved in my life and they were always respectable
- 2:08:13
and talked highly of each other they never talked down each other they never put they never put each other down in front of me and it was always you know
- 2:08:20
my mama could be Hell Boy Lord knows they had to have patience to deal with her so they they loved her so much that
- 2:08:25
they poured into me and I appreciate you know Anthony Michael thank y'all y'all my guys yesterday you spoke about
- 2:08:30
yesterday when we spoke you spoke about your upbringing being very different
- 2:08:36
from most rappers yeah and so therefore your views come can you speak to that
- 2:08:42
again please yeah I grew up you know and most I didn't understand until I started talking nationally
- 2:08:47
how unlike the rest of black people in this country my life has been I grew up
- 2:08:52
in Atlanta Georgia what you guys think start a lot of time popping with Freaknik or with with laface records
- 2:09:00
um Atlanta's had a black middle class and Rich [ __ ] to be honest 120 years you
- 2:09:07
know Alonzo Herndon Herman Russell John Wesley Dobbs you know I could literally just name a Litany of people that
- 2:09:14
literally were the highest of the high in America in terms of influences Vernon joint when you start looking at even on
- 2:09:20
the conservative side Herman Cain when you start looking at a black child who's
- 2:09:25
all his heroes and villains look like him if my grandparents aren't gonna know what politics they want the ultimate white folk won't let her have migraine
- 2:09:32
left like this [ __ ]
- 2:09:42
I grew up in a world that felt Fair because my schools were black my
- 2:09:47
teachers were black they went to Black universities and colleges they expected nothing but Excellence out of us I went
- 2:09:53
to a school night for Frederick Douglass High School put me on the pathway straight to Morehouse didn't have three white teachers my whole life didn't live
- 2:10:00
under white rule my whole life you know when I white folks got money in Atlanta that's that's definitely capitalism and
- 2:10:06
politics work hand in hand but they worked in a way that since Maynard Jackson Manor Jackson say hey I'm married this city you want to do
- 2:10:11
business with the city you got to have 29 black participation ownership all of a sudden all of a sudden the bakery me
- 2:10:16
and my grandma used to go to the lady that worked there became the 30 owner of the bakery you know what I'm saying oh [ __ ] like this is how this works so I've
- 2:10:24
just grew up in a place where the possibilities for black children were endless now you understood that class
- 2:10:30
was an issue I knew I didn't have the money say the Russell's had but I got the same education because I went to the
- 2:10:36
same high school and I knew if I applied that education I would be the first I would be the Herman Russell of my family
- 2:10:43
are are you are you because you come from all of that are you breaking any
- 2:10:49
generational curses no because I don't have generational curses my great-grandparents were sharecroppers
- 2:10:54
that saved enough money I just got the deed my aunt send it to me 1948 they bought a 30 Acre Farm
- 2:11:00
that farm is still in our family I don't say that generational curse [ __ ] because it'd be an insult to my great
- 2:11:06
grandmother my great-grandfather that worked their ass off to leave us something talk about it so the little
- 2:11:11
500 check that the Zumba company might send us in January that ain't no curse I just split that little 500 125 per child
- 2:11:17
put in the accounts that's not a curse my grandparents we still own both the houses they own I just bought my
- 2:11:23
daughter a house behind my sister so she lives in the same neighborhood I'm gonna that I grew up in I don't accept the
- 2:11:30
curse because there is no curse there's opportunity you know dude have did this
- 2:11:35
[ __ ] up [ __ ] happen absolutely Kanye should have said it this way yeah yeah man I don't you know I don't know God
- 2:11:42
bless his soul but I in terms of me and how I view my life what I see is endless
- 2:11:48
opportunity that does not mean I don't have challenges that does not mean that I'm I haven't walked through some valleys but man the peak of this
- 2:11:55
mountain is beautiful but I already see the next mountain and to get to the next one I gotta crawl back down
- 2:12:00
and then crawl back up you know um I returned I ran from religion
- 2:12:06
and I returned in a lot of ways spiritually to the lessons my grandmother wanted me to get young and
- 2:12:11
when I studied characters Jesus is one of the most amazing characters real or
- 2:12:17
not whether you believe in terms of revolutionary love he he told his homeboys man I got to go
- 2:12:22
fast and pray man this boy's like man we we cooling we with the dog and then they went to sleep they kicked it so he he up
- 2:12:29
here he by himself he's hungry here in the desert and the Devil pop up and say man what's up man you know you ain't got
- 2:12:35
to do this [ __ ] all these lame ass [ __ ] folks they ain't really believe in you anyway I mean they gonna kill you man just just let me give you
- 2:12:42
the world and he holds fast to the mission and the mission is simply to be
- 2:12:48
nailed to a cross on the behalf of sins that's not even committed and the last person he choose to save is a
- 2:12:54
self-confessed thief being killed next to him by the state that is such a
- 2:13:00
powerful message damn right not have the faith to push through hard times why
- 2:13:05
would I complain why would I complain to God how much of an insult would that be to my grandmother who was educated in a
- 2:13:12
deep dirty rural South how much of an insult would that be to my grandfather who had to drop out of school in third
- 2:13:18
grade to raise his sisters and help his mother by working in a sawmill what kind of disrespect would that be to my mother
- 2:13:24
who graduated with me on her hip at the same high school that I graduated from they tried to push her out say go have
- 2:13:30
the baby and come back and she walked proud through the halls I just don't have it in me you know and I'm not saying that it's hard times ain't coming
- 2:13:36
I'm not saying that hard times ain't gonna beat you down but hard times will shape you and make you man it take a
- 2:13:42
fire to mend metal it takes steel to start to steal so I just don't accept that hard times not supposed to come
- 2:13:48
they're gonna come has anybody ever told you that you could you know you should be a preacher because I mean I feel like
- 2:13:56
a preacher I think you should be my GPS voice I'm so ready to run through
- 2:14:09
I'm looking at everybody and everybody's just sitting here like nodding okay
- 2:14:16
you are a you are a captivating prolific or you are an order when you learn how
- 2:14:22
to do that [ __ ] big boy who taught you how to talk like this Betty clunts my grandmother who they call Miss Betty
- 2:14:28
that's why the generations [ __ ] that [ __ ] they got grandparents yeah they got no Big Nana [ __ ] my grandparents
- 2:14:35
40. I don't want no problem Betty was 44
- 2:14:40
when I was born but she she would say boy you anointed and I'm like Mom I
- 2:14:45
don't want to you know I don't want to be anointed mom I wanna I wanna I wanna I Wanna Smoke we can go to Blue flight
- 2:14:52
and she said and she would say to me you you can't run from them run from it you
- 2:14:58
can't keep running from God and I I just I didn't know what she meant but I knew
- 2:15:04
I was running I was like a prodigal son I was just out in the world you know I was out hanging man I was rapping it and
- 2:15:10
um and I remember my last conversation she um we were on our way to Michael's
- 2:15:16
Michael was five years old we're on our way to a black history event they were doing at her at her Pre-K and um
- 2:15:23
her mom was married at the time she said my grandmother said why don't you um why don't you let her husband adopt Michael
- 2:15:30
and I said what the [ __ ] you talking I never owned the curse her what the [ __ ] you talking about you say it to me and
- 2:15:36
we went back and forth and I felt like and I understand that that was her last test of me and um she said
- 2:15:45
after our conversation did I hurt your feelings I said yeah and this is how she never said these two words
- 2:15:50
I'm sorry you she usually so I beg your part or if your feelings hurt you know too bad but
- 2:15:56
we were walking up a hill they wouldn't let us drive it here we were walking up the hill and she looked at me and she looked past me and she saw
- 2:16:03
something I could see an eye she saw something she looked back at me and she smiled and she hugged me and she left
- 2:16:09
now I have been fighting like hell to get my career going and after she left
- 2:16:15
it has never stopped and that's when I understood like she was in commune with God and she was
- 2:16:22
right like I have a purpose I don't know what it is but I know God has a purpose for me I'm on a journey towards that
- 2:16:28
purpose and I don't know where the Journey's taking me but I know I'm on one so I had to accept that my
- 2:16:34
grandmother was right I can't I can't run from God God has some purpose for my life I'm not going to pretend to have
- 2:16:41
all the answers or no but I know that I'm leading a purpose for your life and I and um I wish I could call him you
- 2:16:47
gonna make me go to an Atlanta church
- 2:16:53
it was crazy I've I've heard it I've heard it and and now you just have to accept that God God
- 2:17:00
knows Mel I think that Michael is a great person
- 2:17:06
to ask your little trap trick question that you tried to get in Me is from parks with earlier about black men and
- 2:17:12
protecting uh black women yeah so ABC is ABC prime time is going to air
- 2:17:19
a special commemorating um hip-hop's 50 years yeah everybody's doing something yeah for that as they
- 2:17:26
should and so I found myself in a round table with um Angie Martinez yes MC light yes June Ambrose
- 2:17:33
um Sherry Bryant and Lola Brooke and it was it was fantastic that sounds like a
- 2:17:39
dog it was really great the one question that Angie you know kind of threw up in the air for anybody to answer and we all
- 2:17:45
kind of found like we're at a little bit of a loss is how can
- 2:17:51
men in this industry in hip-hop help to support women
- 2:17:58
full stop question or yeah yeah well let me let me first acknowledge Shanti Das
- 2:18:04
who was my first product manager she went to my rival high school she's my big sister she's exited the music
- 2:18:10
industry and now has silence to shine which deals with people with mental health awareness depression I was going
- 2:18:15
to ask you about Shanti as well and the whole mental health yes so my leader since I got in this has been has been a
- 2:18:22
woman in terms of the person who helped me get acclimated to her and kawan Prather um KP famous a r but I I don't
- 2:18:30
know the biggest answer but on a on a fan level and on a child that grew up in
- 2:18:36
hip-hop my mom was listening to hip-hop first with the Kurdish blows the Houdini's things of that nature but
- 2:18:42
there's this there's this little girl my mom would come up here um doing illegal stuff
- 2:18:48
you guys a little girl she met at about 14 15 years old and her name was Roxanne Shantae and Roxanne Shantae was on her
- 2:18:55
way to a boarding house um up north and she gave my mother a picture of herself
- 2:19:02
not a not a head shot not a and she sent it back to me and she signed a record
- 2:19:07
and Shantae was the most badass [ __ ] I as a kid like you gotta
- 2:19:13
think about it I love the fat boys I love Run DMC but this girl Roxanne Shante was just so she's one of my
- 2:19:20
biggest Inspirations and all along the way Roxanne salt and pepper Latifah
- 2:19:26
whether you start talking about going out South Gangster Boo Trina Choice even Too Short who would people with the
- 2:19:32
label pinfish misogynistic he had enough sense to put girls on his records to retort Luke and the two lives who did
- 2:19:39
the same thing I would argue hip-hop as an art form whether it's the funky four plus one or forward hip-hop has an art
- 2:19:46
form has been more Equitable to women than any other art form because we
- 2:19:52
needed the balance there was always a retort record if I'm the baddest [ __ ] [ __ ] alive was the song
- 2:19:59
then I'm the baddest [ __ ] alive and that [ __ ] served me what's the answer song like and I and and what I've seen
- 2:20:06
in hip-hop is we've always been ahead of the curve and now when I see all these women flourishing in terms of the young
- 2:20:13
women as artists I admire that but behind the scenes I've always seen companies packed with Dynamic strong
- 2:20:20
women if you was around Rockefeller you saw Emmanuel you know what I'm saying now Emmanuel's leading video over at the
- 2:20:27
Capitol somewhere right if you if you rent the face you saw Shanti and it wasn't just a one-off so I would say we
- 2:20:34
always can do better we always can get another inch out of the yard but don't forget to congratulate ourselves Angie
- 2:20:40
Martinez's name has hell weight for over 30 years in this you I'm saying yeah so for me I just want and sometimes we try
- 2:20:48
to you know my grandfather's was telling me stay out of white folk business sometimes we want to be so in white Folk
- 2:20:53
Business and it's saying you ain't white you're just a white man
- 2:20:59
corporate the money the people control sometimes they put out narratives and we
- 2:21:04
just run to be a part of the narrative but women have been leading in hip-hop they are the lead of hip-hop is I don't
- 2:21:10
know who is the lead but I know that in terms from an organizational standpoint who helped put the parties together who
- 2:21:17
are the promoters who were The Who and then when you get down to the artist who was better than Roxanne's I'll tell you when she drunk nobody who the [ __ ] was
- 2:21:23
gonna talk [ __ ] to Latifah right nobody you know who was gonna try Trina at her height who else could have talked [ __ ] back the tree so for me we have as an
- 2:21:31
art form been better at it and we should congratulate ourselves while pushing to be more you know that's that's what I
- 2:21:38
think I got five sisters
- 2:21:46
shout out to you and my boy Sleek bro I've known since I said y'all got the sleep you reminded me of sleep right now
- 2:21:52
with the sound of the toes that I like you joking
- 2:22:02
you were sick as a dog I was nervous about even stopping you know what I mean but I I really man you was always kind
- 2:22:08
and gracious I appreciate you no I always bumped into the best rappers in the world in the airport yeah never like in talking about my
- 2:22:15
career but in the airport it's like oh [ __ ] money now you're moving around on the
- 2:22:21
way from Heathrow I mean yeah that was bad I was bad I wasn't and I wasn't my best self I was in a bad mood bad
- 2:22:27
everything if I was in the airport moving right I hated it yeah I hated it I hate it happened get on the plane make
- 2:22:33
some money hosting all of this I hated all of it back then yeah when I was in the midst of it it beats you up man
- 2:22:39
people don't like people don't understand that part like I couldn't have done Michael moving around like like like like
- 2:22:46
um what the old folks say God is such a state set you still and that and that's with my grandma and so much of my I talked to the Dalai Lama before he was
- 2:22:52
asking my boy to suck his turn I talked to the Dalai Lama yeah I'm not with that [ __ ] yeah
- 2:22:59
so you ain't spoke to him since then right now if you do that that was great yeah
- 2:23:10
no sir but I um I asked him some advice you know on how to put ego aside out of
- 2:23:17
people just to get along and he said you have to put your ego to the side you thought and just come in a room with
- 2:23:22
love and essentially that's the same thing my grandmother had told my whole life and that's when I realized [ __ ]
- 2:23:28
God has blessed you to live with the wisdom you seeking so just just find it so my grandmother tell me stuff like God
- 2:23:34
has set you still or when it's raining be still in the lord it's working I've learned that essentially that's
- 2:23:39
meditation essentially that's prayer and looking in you know and I'm a lot
- 2:23:46
y'all paying these big corporations for books and stuff and learning meditative Retreats go listen to every night
- 2:23:52
go to YouTube pull up Reverend Ike and listen to what he tells you about God being in you and something Divine in you
- 2:23:58
that that old good how [ __ ] was on his issue you know my grandfather didn't [ __ ] with him so I tried not to
- 2:24:04
[ __ ] with him my Grandma will write on that one granddaddy she was right man I had a point man
- 2:24:10
what do you say to because I know you'd be on your activist your activist political parties she's running around
- 2:24:16
Bernie Sanders yeah the old man shuts bird tell me give me give me give me give me some early predictions on what
- 2:24:23
this next election is gonna I have no National predictions I would and I would
- 2:24:28
I would say people should watch Cornell West for what he's saying and people should watch
- 2:24:34
um the Kennedy that's running for what they're saying because they're going to say things that are off the map or Off
- 2:24:40
the Grid but they're going to they're going to spark you to think and you should be trying to follow people who
- 2:24:47
want to make you think you're still probably going to end up voting democrat or republican because those you know always that those are the mafia families
- 2:24:54
that that those are the oligarchs right but I would listen to the people shouting descent from the sidelines that
- 2:25:00
are acclimated so I've listened to Cornell and I listened to the to um I think it's taking it out listen to the
- 2:25:05
Kennedy um listen because they're saying stuff that that is not the status quo but it's
- 2:25:11
relevant and um you know like Kennedy
- 2:25:17
um literally had some noi members hit me up just say hey I want to talk to you guys
- 2:25:22
about vaccines you know he knew we probably just wouldn't listen to some white guy call him so I was like oh so what's the deal
- 2:25:27
vaccines and I'm not saying I'm pro-war against any of that but just that I didn't know the vaccines affected black
- 2:25:33
boys in the way they did you know higher higher rates of autism um studies hadn't been fully done and I
- 2:25:40
think it's important and when people say well well shut the [ __ ] up my great-grandfather's father was used in a Tuskegee experiment so you can't you
- 2:25:47
can't tell me what I can listen to because your family hasn't been harmed by the you and our state government in the same way mine is you know what I
- 2:25:54
mean so I'm listening to everything and everyone but I'm listening to the people who are shouting dissent from the
- 2:26:00
sidelines now what I would and encourage people to do is get off the national
- 2:26:06
soap opera soap box of who's going to win and Trump's going to take us into and Biden's gonna and who is your city
- 2:26:14
council local the local who's hyper local though who is your city council person who is your Police Commissioner
- 2:26:21
who is the chief that your mayor appoints what is your mayor's policy on affordable housing you know those are
- 2:26:27
the things that matter because those are the things that'll talk to you and I didn't I didn't learn this you know in a political science class in high school
- 2:26:33
college I learned this because my grandma mother who was 54 I mean 54 when I was 10 she was the person taking my
- 2:26:40
ass to city council means and I got to sit there I'm listening to her and her friends talk complaining about the sanitation route until it gets fixed and
- 2:26:46
if the mayor didn't add the city council didn't work she walked right across the hall and sit in the goddamn mayor's office
- 2:26:52
yeah and it's just like God I'm gonna get an answer
- 2:27:00
yeah that is how political change happens and I'll give you a perfect example chief
- 2:27:06
judge Asha Jackson is in DeKalb County asha's been my friend since we're 11 years old Asha was was damn near
- 2:27:12
homeless her last two years of high school but she was so determined she pushed all of us to put in our college
- 2:27:18
applications to go to school she went to Buffalo went to school got degree came back home studied law is now chief judge
- 2:27:24
DeKalb County she got tired of seeing people's life be ruined over [ __ ] first offense you [ __ ] it up she said
- 2:27:30
this is what I'm gonna do I'm gonna create a program where I'm gonna give you one year to straighten your [ __ ] up if after one year you have to straighten
- 2:27:36
your [ __ ] up then I'm I'm gonna send your ass to jail but if you straighten your [ __ ] up we're gonna wipe that clean
- 2:27:41
we're gonna get you you know we're going to get you your diplomas we're going to get you we're going to get you on an opportunity to improve that system works
- 2:27:48
so well that our now Republican Governor appointed a democratic woman named Ms
- 2:27:54
Ali from juvenile court over that program to be Statewide to end recidivism so so a democratic judge
- 2:28:03
gives a prototype for something that will work in a county and a county known to nailing your ass to the wall to
- 2:28:08
DeKalb County didn't play that prototype graduates kids that that would have been
- 2:28:14
and I just want to say kids just young people that have made mistakes that program is now being emulated by another
- 2:28:19
black woman and that person was appointed by a republican governor who happens to be a white man politics is
- 2:28:25
not the Dallas Cowboys versus the Washington Redskins or the commanders politics has been being pragmatic about
- 2:28:31
my Approach what will help who can I Ally with all your allies ain't your friends and all your friends ain't gonna
- 2:28:36
be your allies but if you start hyper locally like chief judge Oscar Jackson did it can go Statewide when mandated by
- 2:28:44
a governor that we have in now to another black woman who's now taking that Statewide and that's what I mean about do it hyper locally and watch it
- 2:28:51
grow whatever Solutions are going to come are not going to come from the top down the top is too busy worrying about
- 2:28:57
the top you know what I mean and it's going to take something for the base to
- 2:29:02
fix it when you say we have free breakfast programs in public schools you know why we have free breakfast programs
- 2:29:11
and it embarrassed the government the government said if these Negroes keep feeding these children they're not going
- 2:29:17
to listen to us so we better feed them stay hyper local and watch how the world changes chicken and feeding speaking of
- 2:29:24
feeding uh we gotta go hunting yeah we do I haven't been in some years but my wife won't let me go with my white
- 2:29:29
friends so I got invited by some of my white friends
- 2:29:36
we're going to get a committee of like eight black guys right yeah so and then we're going to get with eight hour white
- 2:29:41
homies and then we're gonna go we're gonna go it's gonna be like a mix uh like a desegregation Boy Scout Troops we
- 2:29:48
on it we're on it I know I definitely want to go you you have you have Cooks have you cooked things that you cook
- 2:29:53
well I'm yeah I'm a real traditionalist I'm gonna kill I'm gonna kill it I'm gonna catch it but I ain't gonna cook it that's my wife she's a good cook can I
- 2:30:01
ask what you've hunted and killed before mainly dear um because they overpopulate
- 2:30:06
themselves and young your uncle will take you on a deer Hogs um not wild hogs but we slaughtered yourself imagine how
- 2:30:13
they feel about y'all yeah wow they overpopulated off the pivot when I was
- 2:30:19
younger rabbit um you know but yeah but whatever the thing is whatever you kill you got to eat so I didn't want to kill no
- 2:30:25
squirrels is that like a rule yeah it is if you kill it you got to eat it yeah you should oh wow yeah
- 2:30:32
otherwise you're just some people hunt for you know it's a trophy but I don't I've always considered that I don't I
- 2:30:38
don't believe in it I got it got it um have you seen any of these headlines running around about uh tsukiana and the
- 2:30:45
young man YK yks um do you believe he should be charged for
- 2:30:52
sexual harassment since Mel want the pretty the question up with all that MC light [ __ ] I want to get it I want to
- 2:30:57
get to it I don't I don't I don't I don't know if he should be charged for
- 2:31:03
sexual harassment I know he needs to be educated on no meaning no and and I
- 2:31:11
think that that in this new age of men and women we're going to have to figure
- 2:31:16
out like our grandparents Courtney our grandparents had to court one another like you didn't get to just be alone
- 2:31:22
with the girl you liked mother said right here in the middle of it that's a famous team in The Godfather
- 2:31:28
when Michael is when he married the Italian girl when he's courting hers he's walking and then you see all her
- 2:31:33
moms and aunts walking behind her so we're out of that and we're in the we're post that so now it's just like you know
- 2:31:39
you got to understand what's pretend you know I understand he's a fun-loving kid but I don't think he understands that
- 2:31:45
just like Waikele Cyrus is a creation of your imagination sukiana is an extension of Her Imagination she's still a woman
- 2:31:51
and once a woman says no if a dancer says don't touch me don't [ __ ] touch
- 2:31:56
it you know and and with that said you also know when you're involved in
- 2:32:03
entertainment those lines are going to be blurred and people are going to get it [ __ ] up and and and and it can be a
- 2:32:10
teaching moment that's the grace you know that's the greatest that right there is the grace that's what Meek was
- 2:32:16
trying to speak to but he's that he can't speak to it let me be having good interviews he's trying to speak to it
- 2:32:23
yeah but that's the part when you're dealing with entertainment yeah be ready
- 2:32:29
for misunderstandings and Blurred Lines and and
- 2:32:34
refer to my teachers and it's not excusing him either no no I'm not excusing anything
- 2:32:40
we have to or we don't have to but I would like for us to show each other some Grace because nobody else does
- 2:32:47
you know nobody's going to show that black man nobody to be phrase don't show that black woman Grace you know they're
- 2:32:53
going to use them against each other in some capacity they're going to pit them against each other but just like the dancers in the flame have taught me
- 2:33:00
since I've been trying to sneak in there me I'm gonna go to Flame with your ass yeah absolutely yeah yeah
- 2:33:06
a lot of them were women and they taught us young hey hey if I say don't touch me
- 2:33:11
baby don't touch me no I'm dancing because you look hands dirty you want to
- 2:33:16
put them places they're not supposed to be yeah yeah like so so so we learned the hard
- 2:33:23
way we just didn't learn on camera but you know I'm just I would I would invite people to to just start having honest
- 2:33:30
conversations you know what I'm saying to type like talk to your big cousins who girls who attractive and say hey man
- 2:33:35
what's this like what's what's player because what we've lost is player we don't have we're not keeping it
- 2:33:42
wasn't pee uh at all and after the first one a player would say oh [ __ ] my bad I
- 2:33:49
ain't no baby I'll just keep it I was just trying to you know what I mean but but I gotta confuse you if you can learn something from
- 2:33:55
everybody look at our pimps it ain't pimps on the street no more but when we were young in Atlanta pimp cultures I
- 2:34:00
watched PSC pimp sparkly pimp culture was big and I we our skating rink was right down Metropolitan so you got you
- 2:34:06
got the Purple Onion and Club Nikki's across the street you got the skating rink here and then on off days the
- 2:34:11
skating rink was literally just a whorehouse it was just Cadillacs and girls and you get to watch but you will
- 2:34:17
see a pimp approach a woman and her a few say well [ __ ] I'm just trying to get you but he never gonna
- 2:34:22
touch her he's not gonna grab her arm and say come talk to me like some of y'all country [ __ ] when the girls walking down the strip on Miami
- 2:34:28
keep your [ __ ] hands yourself is she interested she gonna choose and when she chews up it's gonna be better than you
- 2:34:35
trying to force you know that gorilla Pimp [ __ ] and that non-player [ __ ] is just it's not player so yo go talk to
- 2:34:41
your uncles who seem to be cool but more than that talk to your cousins your auntie talk to your mama and that way
- 2:34:48
you will learn how to be a player man about [ __ ] and you won't take it personal if she tell you no or she don't
- 2:34:54
want to touch and [ __ ] like that you know she doing the same thing you doing she's just playing a character making
- 2:34:59
sure her bag is there for her at the end of the day you know but I hope I hope that they both you know I hope that he
- 2:35:04
gets some Grace out of this and learns and mature us up you know I hope sukiana must success to her because you know
- 2:35:10
they own her too they say she she danced on a 10 year old boy they want to charge and I'm just like hey stop it yeah yeah
- 2:35:16
I'm just man I thank God my mama friend danced on me
- 2:35:26
well I didn't know how to dance and and my mommy taught me how to dance
- 2:35:31
but you can only get so with your mommy and then her friend say your mama said but you put your hair if you like this
- 2:35:37
my mom said my mom said you put your hand on her waist you hold her like this and you know what I'm saying but her
- 2:35:43
friend said but if she likes you she's gonna do this to your hand and that's how that's how I knew that's how I knew
- 2:35:49
she liked me because she put my hand on her mouth you know I mean not her friend but the girl I was dancing with at school her friend gave me the X the game
- 2:35:56
my oldest son Mama cursed me the [ __ ] out with her ass some little young things dance with my son boy
- 2:36:18
hey man you want to go to the um you want me to take you to the flame you wanna this man this little cool [ __ ]
- 2:36:24
was already in Club Blaze he was like I'm at Blaze with my friend he was like really daddy this [ __ ] kind of lying I
- 2:36:30
was like for real like you already played on his big brother whose mom is more in the church was a little more Square you know what I'm saying his big
- 2:36:36
brother I still ain't took to the flame like this [ __ ] lose his mind I don't know but I gotta take him when I go home he
- 2:36:44
just broke up he broke up and got back with his girl so I said I need to go I need to go show him the only cure for breaking up with your girl is the you
- 2:36:50
know another girl in some capacity so cool they back together though thankfully I might just take both of them there you go it sound like you in
- 2:36:57
support of The Reunion yeah I like them together but you can't keep breaking up with me now I'm still a man like you
- 2:37:03
break up you got one or two time to break up I mean that third breakout then baby you know I'm a dog out the leash yeah I ain't gonna I ain't gonna keep
- 2:37:10
coming back big and playing no goddamn r b songs
- 2:37:15
baby somebody want me if you don't maybe a couple maybe a couple maybe because
- 2:37:21
you're listening yeah listen RV man you can't tell I got Jagged Edge on my album
- 2:37:27
no that's
- 2:37:32
you like when I see that I'm like come on don't know what you're talking about good good
- 2:37:37
and that truck is hard about Teenage life fell in love the teenagers live like a dope boy for two
- 2:37:44
summers got a girl pregnant had to have an abortion and learned that poverty was strong in love because you know she was
- 2:37:50
in the projects and she was um she was trying to get out she ended up getting pregnant by a marriage
- 2:37:57
poverty is stronger than love absolutely that's a bar I wish I'd have known that
- 2:38:02
I thought love conquers all it don't it does it don't 45 of these
- 2:38:09
yeah you better have a you better love with a [ __ ] jaw or yeah you still a man like that's one thing I do love
- 2:38:15
about being Southern there's certain traditional lines that are just what they are like you know I don't care how
- 2:38:20
much you love me baby you know you you got to you know you got to work now I still got to buy that goddamn purse
- 2:38:27
yeah that's different up here yeah that's different that's what Zion was
- 2:38:32
doing yo you're trying to help him you know me so um
- 2:38:44
it's a lot of regular girls out there that'll love you boy they'll love you in a group they ain't got to you ain't got
- 2:38:49
no go for nobody already famous too man just you know they're not they're not a fan of that regular girl yeah well you
- 2:38:56
should be because the regular girls are that's the prize oh they're not a fan of that that's the prize that's the prize they Wilder too especially if like that
- 2:39:02
like Catholic girls and you know what about that regular girls it's tougher to find them now nice
- 2:39:11
I'm talking about the kids that won't go they won't go outside and with the internet error these and
- 2:39:17
then gamer they stuck in the room everybody gotta go to Target everybody gotta go to the grocery store
- 2:39:27
y'all are speaking for privilege the people
- 2:39:32
I'm talking about Home Depot and Target is 90 minutes away you know Shaq goes though you know what
- 2:39:37
like all Shaq still pops up and Tyler Perry go to Walmart so [ __ ] can't tell me on one little Walmart Target is the
- 2:39:45
lick I'm gonna tell you target
- 2:39:51
look to your left and we look to the left and it'd be like ass on ass on and
- 2:39:57
again my wife topped here but I'll be like God damn but it's still nice to look at some ass which one no it's nice
- 2:40:04
yeah yeah yes I collect to a car so I'll be in a toy
- 2:40:11
section so if you don't blow [ __ ] because
- 2:40:18
you want a car [ __ ] tell your mama come over here and pick your car Lord [ __ ]
- 2:40:32
how you feel about tricking I think I think I think that that that that needs
- 2:40:38
to I think that there's a place for it all they wouldn't say prostitutions the oldest job right there
- 2:40:44
the oldest professional like you you never it costs women are valuable and
- 2:40:50
they understand they value a lot earlier so whether you do the long-term plan which is a married a long-term
- 2:40:55
girlfriend or you do the short-term plan like you know you rent a buy a boat you know I'm Pro I'm Pro whatever work for
- 2:41:01
you you know everybody don't have game they're not cool they're not gonna be able to talk every girl ain't gonna like you so [ __ ] negotiate the price get it
- 2:41:08
done and get it over with and that's cool pure prostitutes or if you got somebody your sugar daddy in for I don't
- 2:41:13
have no problem with work what I have a problem with is force Don't Force no woman to do no [ __ ] she
- 2:41:18
don't want to do and and that so don't put your hands on them that rape and taking [ __ ] my to my thing the community
- 2:41:25
should deal with you immediately but in terms of man you're OG you want to buy some [ __ ] [ __ ] you know what I mean
- 2:41:30
that's it you know I know you know how many [ __ ] won't join the school with their mama had a friend so yeah I can't
- 2:41:36
trip over though I can't trip over your mama having no friends
- 2:41:49
[ __ ] State video vixens [ __ ] think strippers [ __ ] think sex no [ __ ]
- 2:41:56
your mother yes yes
- 2:42:01
Mama was so you met her yeah you better ask your mom talk about it your daddy
- 2:42:06
met that wild freak off the chains a lot of your brothers and sisters got
- 2:42:13
swallowed you made it that's a blessing [ __ ] yeah
- 2:42:21
Neil deGrasse Tyson that clip changed my life he said yo when you just think about the amount of babies that couldn't
- 2:42:29
make it and you made it you beat the odds or the lottery [ __ ] yes it's like
- 2:42:34
hitting the lottery I just tell people that all the time man you can complain about your life you know I got generational curses my life was the
- 2:42:40
worstest yes yeah [ __ ] you made it talk to your
- 2:42:46
mother about the secret abortion yeah yeah yeah like talk to your parents oh man get to get to it yeah so you know
- 2:42:53
hey man it's it's uh a lot of people need Jordans out there man so you know
- 2:42:58
New York and New Jersey yes I'm in New York whatever New York dudes
- 2:43:04
go y'all [ __ ] up the market y'all overpay for Christmas y'all some over [ __ ] pad ass
- 2:43:10
[ __ ] man y'all the [ __ ] up the Dominican Republic
- 2:43:32
[Applause] and them African [ __ ]
- 2:43:37
New Yorker show yeah with New York Yankees with these Max contracts [ __ ]
- 2:43:42
it up for the regular [ __ ] no boy them boy we're paying but hey thank you for the joys Mr Stanley
- 2:43:50
when I get mature enough to pick out a mentor will you Mentor
- 2:43:57
I'm gonna get your phone now I want to talk to you more I mean I would like to talk about it anymore I won't be
- 2:44:03
annoying I promise I won't know they hit me I [ __ ] with you Joe I don't come to Atlanta because I ain't got too many
- 2:44:09
[ __ ] well I gotta think about uh where y'all could just carry your gun around wherever I do have they carrying it well I mean Joe we are in a nation where we
- 2:44:16
only 13 Senator population only 40 million people three million 300 million people in this country you be you'd be
- 2:44:21
you know you'd be it's not it's not smart not to be trained and armed it's not smart you know I live in Atlanta but
- 2:44:28
Atlanta's in Georgia yeah yeah I come to Atlanta a lot yeah I would like for you
- 2:44:34
wait I don't want you as well why are you [ __ ]
- 2:44:48
I don't want that to sound like I'm not in support of gun rights yeah I am in support of gun rights yeah but when I
- 2:44:55
hear stories like what happened with Shaka I love your Shaka shots that stuff
- 2:45:00
that stuff scares me but the main thing in New York they so strict with that stuff where you can go in a building and
- 2:45:06
it's a little safer so yeah but I challenge that on New York because I see a lot of white boys up here with guns
- 2:45:12
like like no that's true let's see if we can talk about one of our financial [ __ ] we fired a few years ago she had just
- 2:45:19
helped the white boy from here to get a gun this [ __ ] ain't no he not a CEO he not a policeman so I honestly think in
- 2:45:25
the Northeast in particular whatever liberal white people run politics black
- 2:45:30
people are being shorted I'm gonna tell you that when it comes to your rights because the New York gun law says you
- 2:45:36
can't have a long rifle right but I bet you on Long Island they're AK-47s I bet
- 2:45:41
you they're shotguns I bet you AR-15 because if you get it to your house it's legal it's just a transport so it's
- 2:45:47
different stands the greater chance of being stopped in transport us that's all
- 2:45:53
so what else I'm saying so like for me I'm a strict constitutionalist in matters of what what what a promised in
- 2:46:00
terms thanks to miss Ellison piglet Pig leg um teacher when I picked she had an amputated leg but she was mean as [ __ ]
- 2:46:07
she flunked my mama she threatened to flop me but she made me love I Bill of
- 2:46:12
Rights and constitutions and understand that as it's written ask for it that way
- 2:46:17
because that means everybody gets it the same it's a shame for me that there are
- 2:46:23
more roadblocks in my neighborhood than in else neighborhood see Al ain't gonna get no roadblocks
- 2:46:29
driving out in his neighborhood L.A don't get shot so L gonna get his shotgun here's when I stop when I get
- 2:46:35
stopped I'm gonna have to tell the officer where actually I hunt I'm gonna have to give them a goddamn story what I love about George is they just hey you
- 2:46:41
you got a gun ain't no no thanks for letting me know here's your ticket have a good evening I get nervous once I get
- 2:46:47
north of the Mason Dixie because I know it's guns in the room it's just not on me um
- 2:46:54
um [ __ ] that yeah no I just said but I'm coming out there
- 2:47:00
I want you to come out I'm coming we're going to Flame we're going to I'm gonna take you to the High Museum I'm on the
- 2:47:05
board of the high the high has these nights where they play music and they drink and kind of kick it it's a it's a
- 2:47:11
it's a it's a you know it's white institution of course um but it's 54 of the people who go
- 2:47:16
there look like us they have a cool night so I want you to come I want to share with Atlanta yeah I am that's the
- 2:47:22
[ __ ] with Atlanta and DC yeah when you go to Atlanta you'll get black
- 2:47:27
Excellence more than most places in the country and when people think black actions though they think like like the
- 2:47:32
biggest Jay-Z right now I ain't talking about no rapper but what I'm talking I'm talking about black Excellence [ __ ] the [ __ ] who worked for the city making 70
- 2:47:39
bands he got a 300 000 house he got an old school he got a new car his wife
- 2:47:44
that to me that's it because the children getting a good education they gonna they're gonna fertilize the Next
- 2:47:50
Generation that's that's it for me Tyler Perry man got an old Confederate this [ __ ] come on man like it don't happen
- 2:47:58
no other things Atlanta is Atlanta and DC yo it's a book though I want y'all to get called the devil you know by Charles
- 2:48:05
blow 54 of all African-Americans live in the south so Atlanta can be replicated Birmingham
- 2:48:12
Montgomery Charlotte um Columbia Jacksonville Savannah making
- 2:48:18
Tampa we have a lot of other places because Atlanta didn't just happen it was plotted out you know John Wesley
- 2:48:24
Dobbs was around in the 40s and 50s his grandson in the 70s becomes mayor his grandson's mandates a certain amount of
- 2:48:31
City contracts that creates a a bigger millionaire class a bigger um upper upper class that creates a bigger middle
- 2:48:37
class and working class we can replicate this in other places but we have to go forth knowing that this is a plan and if
- 2:48:44
in Atlanta is not the best in terms of it's not perfect I think it's the best amongst us but it's not perfect but just
- 2:48:51
like we're trying to create a more perfect union with this country I believe that there's cities throughout the South with the economic potential to
- 2:48:58
give us a more perfect version of what Atlanta is let me ask you a question do you think that um because I have the
- 2:49:04
same argument but I I always Group Atlanta with DC and I and I attribute that level of success
- 2:49:11
because Atlanta and DC have more colleges especially black institutions
- 2:49:17
than most places in the country so when people go to school you go to the closest Metropolis yeah to get jobs yeah
- 2:49:24
that's Atlanta for y'all yeah you understand what I'm saying just in Atlanta y'all got Clark I got more house Spellman all of these backgrounds and
- 2:49:30
Morris Brown so in DC you got Morgan you got coppin you got Howard you got Del State over in Virginia yeah all of that
- 2:49:38
stuff so they go straight to DC which is the biggest Metropolis to get jobs so you see the black families how do you
- 2:49:44
think that that could be replicated without and I'm not shooting at nobody that didn't get a college education but
- 2:49:49
that is definitely um
- 2:49:58
it doesn't have to be as prevalent Atlanta just has to be there to be relevant you know just you just have to
- 2:50:03
look at FAMU Tallahassee ain't a big town Tallahassee got Florida State and Tallahassee and Tallahassee got a family
- 2:50:10
so what you do is you take your ass to fam you you do the best you can you get off campus you go communicate um get
- 2:50:15
cool with the people at Florida State especially get cool with athletes so they can marry somebody that look like they Mama right get your butt get your
- 2:50:22
black ass off that Florida State campus get over the FAMU campus go have some you know go have some relations with somebody that look like you because what
- 2:50:29
I don't want to happen is when you're generational wealthy after you die [ __ ] I wanted to come back to the community in some capacities but I believe I have
- 2:50:36
a good friend that went to Hampton shout out to T she is she is a person it actually got me
- 2:50:42
hooked up my style so thank you for that thank you because they both went to Hampton they're DC kids right
- 2:50:48
but they're DC kids that understood that the world wasn't DC so they got out of
- 2:50:53
seen more of the world but they used the competence and the confidence to walk in
- 2:50:58
rooms with a head up already assured I'm good enough so you can you can you can
- 2:51:05
go get a job in DC you can go get a job in Atlanta but beyond the job the fact
- 2:51:10
that you know you can start business the fact that you know you can start Consulting the fact that you know you
- 2:51:15
can land somewhere else and recreate on a micro level what you grew up in that's
- 2:51:21
the more powerful thing because Atlanta wasn't always Atlanta Atlanta at one point black people were not the majority
- 2:51:27
there we were significant enough numbers to grow but the numbers grow the neighborhood I grew up in was all white neighborhood at first black people say
- 2:51:34
we ain't gonna fight white folks to live next to them we're going to offer everybody a 30 markup on their house
- 2:51:39
we're gonna push them further out in the Collier Heights was created people say for real I never thought that I say man
- 2:51:45
in our next door neighborhood is named Dixie Hills you think a bunch of [ __ ] with a name in the neighborhood Dixie ill you know what I mean so I'm just
- 2:51:52
telling black folks it don't happen in one quick stroke it may take some time but have the confidence that you're
- 2:51:57
competent enough to do it so whether you go to Howard or Hampton whether you go to Clark or Morehouse just know that
- 2:52:04
whether you root set your roots there and grow it there or you take it somewhere else it's needed you know
- 2:52:10
Tuskegee is this big literally Tuskegee the town Tuskegee is this big only hotel in the township is probably still on the
- 2:52:16
college campus but look how Tuskegee has affected the world you know and that's what I want us to understand that we
- 2:52:23
need you growing up in Positive Black places and and it doesn't have to be College we need trade school you think about Tuskegee the kids that built the
- 2:52:29
buildings they built the bricks them they made the bricks themselves so Tuskegee was as good as teaching you how to be a brick mason or Carpenter as it
- 2:52:36
was to teach you how to be a high Tradesman like a doctor or an engineer and I think that we need to start paying
- 2:52:41
attention to trades our our children need to know how to build houses and
- 2:52:47
skyscrapers because I don't give a [ __ ] how many robots to get made somebody's going to have to know the trade of how
- 2:52:53
to wire that [ __ ] you're right and which oh yeah congratulations to Georgia youth bill they they are they're
- 2:52:59
a um Georgia youth build and Next Level Academy are two organizations I support
- 2:53:04
um Next Level boys Academy ran by Gary Davis um is it is conflict Revolution
- 2:53:10
resolution it is getting boys together who are on a road to criminality getting them that redirected and out of the
- 2:53:16
court system um Georgia youth build is one of my favorites because it takes kids from 14 to 24 gets in their High School diplomas
- 2:53:23
and geds and then gives them a trade Partners them with the union and then gets their Union wage jobs and they
- 2:53:30
graduate today I'm supposed to be doing a commencement ceremony but I said [ __ ] them kids on with Joe
- 2:53:41
I love those kids
- 2:53:54
I tried
- 2:54:02
first of all I earned the name killer I didn't I didn't wake up you know a nine-year-old Mike man Melissa I wanted
- 2:54:08
to be handsome Mike we're here we killed killed Walton kiss me on my [ __ ]
- 2:54:13
cheek in third grade and I think my mom had like lame ass Jerry cross out of my hair I just she was just like you're
- 2:54:19
cute and I was like [ __ ] you know I would have been handsome might but Double D who was uh they used to throw
- 2:54:26
these things called green lights like battles in Atlanta and man my partners ain't coming these lame ass [ __ ] was
- 2:54:31
in there and they knew my problems didn't come they were just talking [ __ ] and um so I battled the [ __ ] I slayed them and Double D was like man
- 2:54:38
this kid's a killer he shut the double he was like [ __ ] diesel he was I was like everybody shut the [ __ ] up like
- 2:54:44
he's like this kid's a killer and ever since I came back no one ever called me like nice
- 2:54:49
Killer Mike so when I went and I I was proud that I earned the name when I went and I became Killer Mike being a dream
- 2:54:55
like that [ __ ] hard and then they got to Colombia and they was like well we want you to change your name and I'm just like no I'm not [ __ ] change you know
- 2:55:03
what I'm saying and um that was one of the beefs me and Rico had at first like we Rico was like you need to change your name like kill or Mike m i c because
- 2:55:10
what Rick understood is that it was going to be a burden and he was trying to save me from that like a big bro
- 2:55:16
supposed to do and I was like nah you know stubborn little [ __ ] in the next five years it was tough it was
- 2:55:21
tough is a [ __ ] but right when I was ready to break I said man I just give you Mike bigger and I call my girl
- 2:55:28
Shea bigger shade bigger stuff everybody's like man well I want to heal I thought Mike bigger was dope as [ __ ]
- 2:55:34
my name I'd like it too yeah Mike bigger I thought so too man Jason DeMarco who
- 2:55:41
introduced me to L and underwrote rap music he got Turner broadcast they got a
- 2:55:46
Cartoon Network to pay for one of the hardest rap albums ever he said bro just call yourself Killer Mike and I got the
- 2:55:52
budget for you and I'm just like let's get it white folks and and build too much equity and and
- 2:56:00
then it was just no turning around and then once people I and I really got a lot of respect for the OG I haven't been
- 2:56:07
out on the trail with him in a while but I have a lot of love and respect for Bernie Sanders and um
- 2:56:12
you know the Og man he um he had he had some badass black
- 2:56:17
[ __ ] working for him like Tasman Figaro Who's down on um Down The Breakfast Club is just a badass black
- 2:56:24
woman she like if Tupac had a wife it would have been her like real [ __ ] she was tough as nails and I admired that
- 2:56:32
because he got challenged on me a couple times and he stood with me you know what I'm saying on the Killer Mike [ __ ] he
- 2:56:38
stood with me against the [ __ ] Hillary's campaign tribe with me you know what I'm saying and I just I [ __ ]
- 2:56:43
with the OG for that man you know and like my granddaddy what you say too man keep some good white folks on your side
- 2:56:50
so shout out to the whole team man thank you too please
- 2:57:04
shouts out the devil they did a thing man yes they did yes they did
- 2:57:12

- 2:57:45
didn't want to make music I just wanted to listen to the news yeah he a ghost like he really is like a he like Mr
- 2:57:50
glass he kind of pop in and fade out and then he'll say one thing and then just leave but the thing that had you
- 2:57:56
