  • 4:45

mature um thank you for inspiration I mean if you want to

  • 4:52

call it that because men are oblivious to their Hercules and effort you girls go to and it is Herculean

  • 5:00

I mean you know the average woman will go through six pounds of lipstick in her lifetime she'll spend just under two and

  • 5:06

a half years of her life sitting in a salon chair getting it cut dyed blown out in style she spent another 650 days

  • 5:13

at home trying to recreate that same look she'll waste a year of her life just trying to figure out what to wear

  • 5:20

and then there's the plucking of the eyebrows and drawing them back in with a pencil the gluing on of the false

  • 5:27

eyelashes and then there's the makeup if you like my makeup yeah it looks like you got [ __ ] by a box of granola

  • 5:33

    cracks

  • 5:39

the Botox and the crow's feet and we're not even below the neck yet

  • 5:45

the breast augmentation spray on tan the Chevy the underarms the legs the

  • 5:52

manicure the pedicure the waxing the bleaching the 750 shoes the 800 dress I

  • 6:01

mean why do you just try being a nice person

  • 6:07

    [Music]

  • 7:19

completely packed did a 30 song Set the internet be wrong very wrong a lot a

  • 7:26

lot a lot like it's not the real world I agree I'm just saying it was good to

  • 7:32

see him back on you know come out see the love from the crowd go

  • 7:37

through all the all the joints and he had that entire Barclay on fire

  • 7:43

from the second he stepped on stage to the second he stepped off any guess no no guess um a surprise opener the the

  • 7:50

kid ddg but yeah I'm not familiar with his music um wasn't built didn't say like you know

  • 7:56

opener he did that by himself that was the more impressive part to me at what part of the show did you say to yourself

  • 8:03

oh my God this is going absolutely crazy did you dance no I don't I don't dance

  • 8:08

I didn't dance you just sat there heading out aggressive give me your show give me your show Pro oh no standing up rapping

  • 8:27

you place your drink oh no the Barclays got the cup holders on the back of the seats nice so I had my drink right there my girl had her drink right there

  • 9:03

yes that don't look like she merged either you got money you spend money at shows

  • 9:09

oh I'm sorry I wasn't there my brother I don't know I don't know spend money I don't know showing merch yeah good money

  • 9:15

at shows anytime I go to a show I'm I'm usually buying a lot of merch talk to them [ __ ] that don't buy merch

  • 9:21

I buy merch personally I usually make my way to the merch boot first in an

  • 9:26

instance like this I'm a goal while everybody inside get a couple pieces I always buy merch though all right all

  • 9:32

right you know what I mean do you get autographed no did you go backstage no

  • 9:37

meet and greet no picture what's up with y'all but if Gunner wanted your girl to come backstage and take a picture

  • 9:46

a fan she ain't stupid so she's a fan but she can't go get the

  • 9:53

picture I didn't say she can't I said she wouldn't do it but if she did would she come back to warmth but she wouldn't

  • 9:58

hypothetically hypothetically she wouldn't do it but if she did would she

  • 10:04

hear you you saw her warm reception you're not hearing me bro how do y'all let y'all girls know y'all have an

  • 10:09

attitude with something a look and then we'll move on because I'm not trying to stay here I just think it's funny she know when I got it's a look I get good

  • 10:17

or a lack of look you look it away nah I look and I get real quiet when I don't say a word

  • 10:44

he's the man okay okay do it do what do whatever dude

  • 10:52

welcome welcome not only am I going to get extra quiet

  • 10:58

but when you notice me being quiet I'm a liar yeah is everything all right yeah yeah real short answer though oh real

  • 11:05

super short looking straight ahead oh yeah yo what's wrong nothing cool

  • 11:12

chilling is it because I did no they know what

  • 11:17

they'd be doing exactly they know they know me and my girl broke up and it was when

  • 11:23

Houston got a little snow [Laughter]

  • 11:30

we thought it was a bad breakup too we wasn't talking it was bad but you were you were stranded there were you there

  • 11:36

no no no I was home she was in Houston but it was today I got a little snow but you know they don't react well they shut them down they act like she definitely

  • 11:44

hit me yo you think you could send my Uggs back my Uggs I try to get them everywhere

  • 11:50

they sold out yeah my ego ate that right up like uh it's me

  • 11:57

don't you know I went on the website it's really so loud [ __ ]

  • 12:04

I wouldn't put them shits in a glass case

  • 12:13

where you just happen to Uggs is in the background in the case all right let another another girl

  • 12:18

oh yeah you broke up hey other girl I'm joking I'm joking it's like your

  • 12:26

mind we'll get the mugs though when the other girl comes she act like she got beef

  • 12:32

with your girl too she act like they bitter enemies like

  • 12:37

you don't even know her why are you kicking her hugs around

  • 12:46

your little Uggs in the closet your little headpiece they fighting for the

  • 12:51

same thing the ex wants you to send the hugs and the new chick wants you to send the hugs

  • 12:56

how long you hold on to these doc do you think he's coming back well if you do I want to have her eyes you certainly are

  • 13:03

temporary then you don't think you sticking around right you are a rebound

  • 13:08

he'll be going long before Ugg Seasons yeah when you leave it'll be in the

  • 13:15

flip-flops very warm on the feet

  • 13:20

very warm on the feet uh that's funny all right so

  • 13:27

I'm in a great mood we can do anything y'all want to do I want to take ice to homie court at some point

  • 13:32

if we have anything that is more important than that I'm down

  • 13:38

    up nothing

  • 13:44

do you want to get your [ __ ] off first because you got some [ __ ] too we got a lot to get no no no no I want I want to

  • 13:50

marinate in that first thing I want to I want to marinate let's not get to that right away

  • 13:55

um do we want to you know acknowledge that Monday was September 11th yeah yeah we should

  • 14:02

rest in peace everyone that lost their lives in in September 11th and the uh yeah everybody that was directly and

  • 14:09

indirectly affected correct yeah I got really we got I got really kind words from uh you know I

  • 14:15

interviewed one of their survivors his wife sent just really really kind words to start the day so I do want to say

  • 14:21

shout out to everybody that was affected and rest in peace to the people that lost their lives

  • 14:27

I knew something was going to happen Aaron Rodgers when he was holding that flag in the tunnel TL two by the way y'all seen them with

  • 14:34

the flag because I forgot it was 9 11 when the game was on like I'm in football okay I'm in I'm in Gotham now they show them

  • 14:42

with the flags like oh oh buddy I feel I feel bad for just fans oh man I do Jet

  • 14:50

fans yeah and Giants fans thank you yeah I feel bad for y'all too the hell yeah

  • 14:57

the MetLife curse this weekend of the MetLife curse baby

  • 15:03

and it ain't it ain't even forget about the loss but the Giants I mean we'll get to it it wasn't a loss that introduction

  • 15:10

that the Jets got versus what we got the way the Jet fans looked in this in

  • 15:17

the stadium compared to just how we looked we're gonna have to have a like New York town hall meeting or something like the Jets got some [ __ ] that I just

  • 15:24

forget they got they had a little fireman fan all that green they looked

  • 15:29

they had Aaron Rodgers there's a little more hype around them this year yeah clearly but the fans them fans made us

  • 15:36

the Giants we gotta that's how it looked I mean Jerry bought

  • 15:42

it that's how it looked Jerry go get the [ __ ] off I was just asking if Jerry bought it he said no I'm

  • 15:48

not man I'm not in Jersey I don't know okay you want to start with some cowboys no no it was just a lot of gray and blue

  • 15:54

in there oh yeah you Corey all of y'all in the

  • 15:59

stadium yeah I wasn't there okay I hate that Stadium it's trash

  • 16:07

okay all right bougie bougie man uh is there any music

  • 16:14

is there any music there's no music nothing dropped we got drops coming later in the week who's coming later in

  • 16:21

the week tell me okay at this point I get all my videos from you Diddy's album is dropping okay

  • 16:28

back again they said their final album produced by hitboy magic magic

  • 16:33

    [Laughter]

  • 16:40

and uh Drake also said he's dropping a single this week I don't want to hear no more from Drake

  • 16:46

until something happens I just want to hear music yeah I want to hear music now I don't want music from I don't want anything about the album

  • 16:53

enough roll out anticipation is there I need to hear some music at this point

  • 16:59

that's it and I think that Cleo soul is dropping on Friday as well okay okay

  • 17:05

whoa okay I think yeah I think Cleo soul is dropping on Friday

  • 17:11

that's exciting that's something that is yeah y'all got me this puff album has

  • 17:17

been on Non-Stop repeat I'm trying not to talk about it because of how the audience feels about me talking my pup but you got the album

  • 17:24

of course you guys I knew how to whistle is that the final album or just the one

  • 17:30

oh the final okay dog how many songs unbelievable

  • 17:37

uh 89 minutes of Music damn 21 21 songs

  • 17:44

but there's a few interludes but like Puff marry my life interview like I mean I

  • 17:50

interlude like the old joke the old school bad boy interludes that make the

  • 17:55

project cohesive yeah I'm not gonna we'll really talk about this on Friday when the music is out and I can and I

  • 18:02

can just play some but regardless of how you feel about the music his the production and the

  • 18:09

arrangement on this album is unbelievable and then in music you're not playing

  • 18:15

nothing are you I don't think so I just want to say it is September and we still

  • 18:20

haven't heard of people about this verses I don't think I don't think that's it

  • 18:26

which is what we said yeah I don't think that's happened at all sounded hard though it's west side

  • 18:33

is he wrapping them yo I think that's the genius of this project for me is that

  • 18:40

no he ain't okay good in the first in the first yeah I think he knows that now

  • 18:45

though in the first eight songs these are probably 16 total

  • 18:51

bars from him like he comes on for a four bar spot in this song then it's a four bar bridge in

  • 18:58

the next song then he'll get 12 bars off on the beat that you know anybody that has ever wrapped is going to rap on this

  • 19:04

beat it's like [ __ ] like that but listen Ty Dollar Sign showed up her showed up

  • 19:11

baby face showed up Jasmine Sullivan scissor summer Walker

  • 19:17

wow you were kind of expecting that Jazzy yeah but they all showed up Mary yeah like show you got to bring the a

  • 19:24

game to this they showed up so really I don't I don't want to say this but I'm satisfied

  • 19:31

like why would you not want to say that because normally the Drake album would

  • 19:36

have that would have all of me satisfied musically cool dog I'm so cool this

  • 19:42

thing has been on repeat Non-Stop and you about to give me Cleo soul and Drake is coming next like it's fourth quarter

  • 19:47

so some of these you gotta kinda compartmentalize now because you're just

  • 19:52

about to get bombarded with music and I'll talk about this puff out more on Friday but he do what he had to do

  • 19:58

like that that weekend single with French and 21 Savage is probably my least favorite record on this project

  • 20:06

and that's it a little bit um we'll talk once it drops yeah we'll talk once he drops

  • 20:12

we didn't talk about it last public uh and we and I won't talk about it now but that Christian girl had a baby on Insta

  • 20:19

live they filmed her childbirth yes yes well

  • 20:25

    yes

  • 20:31

she also was at a football game a day later or two days later with the newborn

  • 20:37

that's youth she also named the baby Christian Junior

  • 20:45

thoughts and prayers all right man yep you can't comment on

  • 20:51

stuff like that it's going to bring us in into that

  • 21:00

it is crazy I don't keep up with them I don't follow them uh and somehow the

  • 21:05

business still just ends up all in my face because of that whole toxic community over there so I don't really

  • 21:11

address stuff like that by having a baby on Insta live was dog I had for about a

  • 21:16

year now they've every name or word associated with them I've had muted and you still can't expect that I thought

  • 21:23

you can't have the a phone in the room

  • 21:29

that's not true or is that surgery what is it what is you can't have video I thought you can't

  • 21:34

record videos no having a baby people recording people you know we could tell who wasn't there I was but I didn't

  • 21:41

record it all right he wasn't he was there both times sure

  • 21:49

all right people have um you know shown their um shown giving birth on reality

  • 21:56

shows like Kourtney Kardashian famously pulled the baby out of her vagina

  • 22:04

on their reality show yeah Trader truth pulled a bullet out of

  • 22:10

his neck [ __ ] you talking about Kourtney Kardashian women always work yeah I mean

  • 22:18

hey call me when that gets done

  • 22:31

telling us about Khloe Kardashian [ __ ]

  • 22:40

something you can't [ __ ] unsee once you've seen it yeah I was there both times in mine uh my oldest

  • 22:46

we wasn't getting along so great at the time but they put on under all types of anesthesia so or she could say although

  • 22:53

I love you thank you yeah look at you look at you all that not getting along

  • 22:58

look at you look at his lucky iPhone wasn't out he kept that one oh my God

  • 23:04

I love you so much what drug is this

  • 23:12

I might need to take some of this home [ __ ]

  • 23:30

and then with some experience I was there for my youngest and I don't think I was as supportive as I would like to

  • 23:36

think I was in the moment you know you hear the doctor get to talking the

  • 23:42

doctor like giving instructions you start picking up some of that sauce like trying to trying to urge it to whatever

  • 23:48

the doctor's saying but you maybe don't communicate as well as a doctor and now you guys you have to [ __ ] up or they

  • 23:54

threaten you to get out the room

  • 24:00

in her version I said something like let's go here we go why you don't know

  • 24:06

how to push yo how much

  • 24:13

I don't know that I said that I said do you remember the reaction to in the

  • 24:19

moment in the moment that was my first time seeing it like like come out of here

  • 24:24

like my oldest was uh okay this time he was coming out of

  • 24:30

there and it was like oh [ __ ] the cord you caught him no no no no I didn't do

  • 24:37

that now they had me holding one I was like no yeah you get here hold up hold her here I'm like whoa whoa I just

  • 24:43

wanted to stand back and watch

  • 24:49

other leg I was like oh yeah I got this that's how we got here

  • 24:57

right here y'all let me stay in the room I got this Bob uh all right that was it for music

  • 25:04

uh the Gunning show was made it looked amazing yeah that [ __ ] was amazing it looked amazing uh I was telling you hold on hold on I was talking about it it was

  • 25:10

on TMZ for your take on oh yeah cardi and Mags yes yeah did anybody check you

  • 25:16

yet I love y'all too you and Mel Kourtney Kardashian TMZ like white pop

  • 25:21

culture has y'all two in a headlock did somebody check me yes no I actually got an invite tonight to The Bongo uh

  • 25:29

    listening party listening be careful

  • 25:38

his life when should you not be careful just making sure you're okay my brother I love you

  • 25:44

but you got some news yeah I'm the first one I'm not going anyway

  • 25:50

uh because not tonight a little drained

  • 25:57

little drain what it was fashion week it was fashion week uh in uh over the

  • 26:03

weekend yes it was uh both games a lot of traffic oh that met life it's just too much huh

  • 26:09

you know good okay so I'm gonna wind down I'll tell you this though real quick

  • 26:14

about the the response I've seen to the Gunner show I had Street [ __ ] in a frenzy on the

  • 26:20

internet completely confused like this isn't supposed to work

  • 26:25

it was a lot of conversation I saw that I just found hilarious because I don't want to disrespect any Street

  • 26:32

people but I'll be trying to get them to understand that the outside world don't

  • 26:38

really care about a lot of that so this is like proof of it like all the

  • 26:43

[ __ ] that y'all are mad at him for [ __ ] don't care because the music's still slapped people are gonna go he can

  • 26:50

put a tour together people are gonna go I've had people in Atlanta telling me your dogs quietest cap every party they

  • 26:57

playing his [ __ ] it's ringing off that album has been ringing off that was the takeaway for me with Gunner is that he's

  • 27:02

doing New York and la and he's not doing Atlanta yeah

  • 27:08

    stop yeah

  • 27:13

why would you not do Atlanta first I'm going to go to the biggest Market I can do first

  • 27:19

I'm going to go to show that and sell that out New York if you could do in New York you can do it anywhere you know why

  • 27:25

you didn't do Atlanta that's not trying of course you know and I think in Atlanta of course and I think that you

  • 27:31

know you're right if the demand is there he will eventually get to it I do think that

  • 27:36

Atlanta may be a little bit different but you know it's a lot different to that to that [ __ ] to the point that you said though flip uh TMZ and along with

  • 27:44

uh a number of other outlets in public uh Publications did like your lawyers do

  • 27:50

post my opinion and put it on the assembly bill and I want to say that I

  • 27:58

know when that happens that that's one of y'all labels or teams or publicist

  • 28:04

people out there doing that um I know that it's y'all part of rollout

  • 28:11

or not roll out that's what I'm saying using that as part of rollout like yeah but when I'm

  • 28:17

saying something bad and it get picked up like that and put everywhere that's somebody else's team

  • 28:24

[Music] um that's somebody else's Squad holding them down and they're just using

  • 28:32

me as the front man and don't play with me like that because y'all know I [ __ ] with cardi

  • 28:38

but I mean I stand in what I said about the song and I said it pretty respectfully you did it I had to come in and shatter

  • 28:44

nobody's dream you see I ain't put the uh the shorty interview out the toxic interview out uh the day that you put

  • 28:50

that record out there yeah that would have looking foul that would look nuts maybe wouldn't have got that invite to

  • 28:56

the party yeah it's [ __ ] up though today it's either you got to support it or don't say nothing that's the way they treat

  • 29:02

you like if you don't like something don't say it you either got to be on board support

  • 29:09

this is fire I love it championing or just shut up and I don't think that's I don't think that's right well that's

  • 29:15

where me the media people get chips on their shoulders uh for me is if I didn't hear nothing from none of y'all then

  • 29:21

nine million times that I big you up I definitely don't want to hear nothing from you that one time I didn't I'm not

  • 29:29

nobody's voice box I'm not on nobody's payroll I don't work for nobody I'm My Own man and my own opinions and I stand

  • 29:35

in these shits so yeah I don't want to hear that [ __ ] I agree and cardi would understand that it'd

  • 29:41

just be these fan bases fan bases too that's a new thing now true you got to worry about like fan base oh my God yeah

  • 29:49

oh my Lord um what else anything important in in music that we have to get to I don't

  • 29:56

think so no I don't think we ain't have much music anyway next next possible tinkenberg I mean I don't

  • 30:04

know if y'all call that music I saw a bird going off about some [ __ ] but I didn't do the research quite

  • 30:11

frankly because he'd be tripping online sometimes I did all the research okay yeah when people I

  • 30:16

know get in the in the news in the mess oh yeah I go gather all info I can before I speak to them so I know which

  • 30:22

questions and I need to ask you could be the perfect answer yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that's good and sometimes when

  • 30:28

[ __ ] be [ __ ] these girls and they don't tell you that they [ __ ] these girls and as the do as the friend dude you

  • 30:35

just got to put two and two together that all right they [ __ ]

  • 30:40

so yeah I had to do that before with tinkenberg oh [ __ ] all right y'all [ __ ] that's always weird as a friend when you

  • 30:47

connect the dot when you have to look why do I have to but then again why should that person be telling you yeah they ain't got to tell you now I totally

  • 30:53

agree with that and it ain't hard to connect the dots how many beats you're giving her oh all

  • 30:59

of them got it say less oh she's on label now oh

  • 31:04

where y'all going all right say less anyway real quick story what happened yeah

  • 31:10

apparently depending on Whose story you believe Tink and Berg were dealing with

  • 31:15

each other and stop dealing with each other they're going through a breakup according to bird they hadn't spoken in a long time uh he's in Cancun at a

  • 31:22

restaurant for his birthday that morning she posted some [ __ ] on Instagram in support of his birthday yo Yung Berg

  • 31:28

happy birthday we going up that's my dude for life I hate when women do that I hate when women if we uh if we ain't

  • 31:35

right and we ain't speaking don't now put my likeness on your insta

  • 31:41

feed to make women or people think that me and you was flying and we are tricky if we're signed

  • 31:49

if we got a relationship outside of personal us CEO boyfriend yeah

  • 31:55

um It's Tricky I'm appreciative for everything you've done yeah yeah you got me yeah

  • 32:02

in this instance anytime it's happened to me they weren't signed to me they weren't

  • 32:08

signed to me at all yeah because they doing it they do it they ain't doing that [ __ ] for you but anyway she posted [ __ ] cool uh he ends up at a restaurant

  • 32:15

that night that's where the details get murky she ends up at the same restaurant somehow unbeknown unbeknownst to each

  • 32:22

other allegedly allegedly well somebody in a camp snitched

  • 32:27

something happened at that restaurant to where she got really angry with him

  • 32:32

whether it be for not showing attention or if he was dealing with somebody or just whatever it was and then they had

  • 32:38

an incident in a car where Tink got physical with Berg but when she reported

  • 32:44

this to the internet she was vague with the details so she made it seem like she had to defend

  • 32:51

herself against a violent bird who already has some of those allegations on

  • 32:56

his jacket she said yeah I'm not gonna play it but

  • 33:02

she just danced around like yeah I saw him we got in we got into something I

  • 33:08

had to defend myself and you know a lot has happened in our relationship that I've been quiet about

  • 33:15

so if he want to put that video out that he got then just know I'm yeah that's

  • 33:20

    what it was [Music] um

  • 33:26

replied and was like I'm not putting no video out because I'm a real man and you

  • 33:32

know what happened in there and that's not the first time you did that and I'm gonna handle I might sue your ass

  • 33:40

um and then oh and he said I never touched you it was never nothing like that why you would frame that that way

  • 33:46

is beyond me like got messy and then she did a reply to his reply

  • 33:51

and said yeah I hit him but this is why what and that's where I left that story sure

  • 33:59

yeah start some prayers lots of prayers thoughts and prayers nasty work

  • 34:07

it was nasty also while we're on stupid [ __ ] that

  • 34:12

doesn't really change anything in anybody's life we never covered that lady getting hit with the brick because I just always want to wait for more news

  • 34:20

but so apparently they got more news and the lady was never hit with a brick it

  • 34:25

was an allergic reaction no she's a scammer who was attempted to do this multiple times yes there's I saw

  • 34:31

some white girls and it was a white girl Tick Tock that's spreading like wildfire and now there's a beef because all of

  • 34:38

the black women were killing us again for not protecting the girl from getting hit with the brick and here comes the white lady here to defend black men

  • 34:45

yeah gender Wars again that didn't make it to your question algorithm stuff misses your algorithm no

  • 34:52

no no I saw I saw that um people were saying um that a report came out that um she had made up the whole thing and that

  • 34:58

it was actually like that's why where I got the allergic reaction that was something that I guess medical staff

  • 35:04

said it happened to her it was like an allergic reaction that she'd had and but the whole Brick story was made up

  • 35:10

yeah and it's not her first time creating gofundme's everything and people donated like 40 Grand or

  • 35:18

    something like that [Music]

  • 35:26

to come up times is rough out here I get it that's why let me tell y'all I ain't clicking

  • 35:33

on none of y'all GoFundMe facts people be sending you personally yeah I

  • 35:39

mean I'm in a wheelchair yo sorry to hear that even then

  • 35:44

if I know you personally then just let me stop by my house I'm Cash Out bank account wire to wire I'm never going to

  • 35:51

someone's goal for me ever ever ever ever ever not sure

  • 36:01

I see the GoFundMe [ __ ] that [ __ ] is just like when they asked about the Salvation Army I did a little Bodega hey

  • 36:07

do you want to nope want to round up your change

  • 36:15

I'm not giving a penny especially after watching telemarketers absolutely not yeah we're barely getting

  • 36:23

10 of this [ __ ] anyway absolutely not I'm not show me everybody hands I'll touch the money right

  • 36:29

what's the splits Petco yo I heard about an actually interesting

  • 36:36

skin I'll try to be brief my friends adopted a dog that is a rescue from like

  • 36:44

the Dog Farms over there somewhere no no no no okay like that was gonna be food

  • 36:49

oh okay like in what I said Korea perhaps okay but I may be wrong

  • 36:58

that is a [ __ ] like someone is making a lot of money selling essentially

  • 37:03

chickens to Americans that is some brilliant [ __ ]

  • 37:09

I think that was racist though yeah

  • 37:19

I think it was I think it's Korea but I could be wrong

  • 37:25

shouldn't we check that first did he get the dog

  • 37:30

so they adopted a dog from Korea there was gonna be food over there she's going right to North Shore Animal League

  • 37:36

correct I got you okay and they shipped the dog huh and they shipped it they shipped the dog

  • 37:45

I just thought it was a pretty good scam because the dog because it really just

  • 37:51

come from anywhere right I mean that and it would be like someone adopting our uh cows in somewhere that doesn't eat cat

  • 37:58

like India or you know someone who doesn't eat cows there are some Korean dog meat farms

  • 38:04

right thank you so it wasn't racist not it does exist

  • 38:13

the meat farms yo people crazy they didn't even knows

  • 38:21

    that

  • 38:36

and pay extra for it the shipping what was it what type of dog was it uh uh I

  • 38:42

don't know yeah exactly anyway they ain't get that dog from Korea

  • 38:48

from Bronx it was Roscoe oh [ __ ] oh man I want to

  • 38:57

send a special shout out of love and warmth to Nicki Minaj if you're out

  • 39:03

there listening we love you and we hope you heal and recover what happened to Dickey

  • 39:11

they were doing a basketball game the BBL League called the uh guns and buns

  • 39:17

or some [ __ ] the BBL League

  • 39:26

she tried to hit somebody with it why you know you marry me

  • 39:39

League put all the thick girls with a bunch of ass on the basketball court to run up and down do they have to be fake

  • 39:45

to play a game no okay a lot of ass she's running up the court and did it in and out and her knee went in and out and

  • 39:51

honey what her entire leg folded

  • 39:57

    [Applause]

  • 40:02

it looked really bad but she said they popped it back in oh

  • 40:07

so you spoke to him so she didn't reply

  • 40:13

where'd you say it the gram oh the grand he wasn't followed up

  • 40:22

oh so the Splash Brothers was back

  • 40:40

Splash Brothers I need translation what what tell me you guys seem to you

  • 40:48

  • 40:55

  • 41:00

cetera et cetera so Joe used an analogy to describe he and I back in the day

  • 41:05

when we used to be out on the scene as the Splash Brothers so over the weekend Joe and I went out

  • 41:14

of town really Splash Brothers was back is there any tea you wanna well

  • 41:22

  • 44:01

run Mimi over here let's kick it he says I bet

  • 44:06

it's come to meet me at the hookah spot but on his way

  • 44:11

he says yo man me and Ice went to this spot last night there was kind of fire

  • 44:17

in my head I'm like last night as in a work night like right after we was all together

  • 44:25

he says yeah so interesting so yeah me and Ice went to this spot not

  • 44:31

too far and boy was it a blast our man DJing in there so Speak Easy nobody even

  • 44:38

  • 45:02

  • 45:09

saying yo you want me to call and see if I can get us in it but sure sure why not

  • 45:14

  • 45:51

I wanna make a shot hello look look they defensive over the spots

  • 45:57

[Applause] anyway we walk in the spot boy was it

  • 46:02

  • 46:08

hostess great owner great ratio amazing music music amazing hookah is

  • 46:18

    smooth um everything

  • 46:24

but there's a lot of eyes on him there's a lot of eyes on it so I sat with my back to the bar it said you know against

  • 46:31

the wall and I ain't been out with my brother in a while especially now since he's been famous okay tough it's tough

  • 46:38

to get them y'all let me tell y'all something I know I'm the defendant here but yeah he's really him yes

  • 46:45

if it's true it's true it is and I'm me for real

  • 46:50

and we stopped we don't I don't even we don't even I mean so now it's like

  • 46:56

dumb eyes they was on a swivel for the boys in

  • 47:02

there but I didn't pick up one until mad late

  • 47:08

I'm looking at this man keep licking this little talking keep moving and grooving his teeth keep showing it's jokey jokey

  • 47:15

they keep getting up going to the bathroom like this they got UTI's kids

  • 47:23

this [ __ ] got with the bathroom so much I had to pee you know what [ __ ] it what's going on in the bathroom he

  • 47:30

tapped me he gave me the look back like it was 2008. you said yo

  • 47:36

I want to hear this look at the ball [Music] I turned around

  • 47:43

it was awesome his [ __ ] with their husbands

  • 47:49

looking yeah man hey if you was a [ __ ] there now let me know

  • 47:58

    [Applause] [Laughter]

  • 48:12

food was crazy Everything is Everything special food because we got there after

  • 48:19

you know what I'm saying the the kitchen the kitchen that closed so they know he may pump it up they tried to give us a

  • 48:25

little special service no relax they didn't know that stop it I'm asking you they didn't know that stop it you can't

  • 48:31

do that yeah stop it stop it it's okay you can't do that he can pay whatever picture he want to paint with the Bros

  • 48:36

in the world no because they did the same [ __ ] the night before for you stop it exactly these two and that gets back

  • 48:43

to my point so I get to work today I said no he says I said another way he

  • 48:48

said Joe I'm kind of tighter are you sure I said what you mean he says yo this

  • 48:53

[ __ ] kind of fly and I'm mad that you two [ __ ] went out y'all left where we all were goofy ass

  • 49:00

    [ __ ] Tyrese came he's a hookah guy and y'all [ __ ] just didn't say nothing yo

  • 49:07

bro I've never been here before so I get to work I used to him out yeah I heard y'all's in my spot where I heard from him

  • 49:12

I went back over there wait so you went back over there yeah two nights in a row no no he just went back after I after I

  • 49:19

    went uh so that's like his spot that's that's I [ __ ] with the spot yeah okay so I'm just honestly at 43 I think it's

  • 49:26

important to be expressive and share my emotions and my feelings especially with my friends and my loved ones and the

  • 49:31

people I rely on to take care of me and like you know guide me through sometimes so it's like damn so you're accusing I

  • 49:38

was hurt uh I'm accusing him of uh of gatekeeping yeah being a phony ass [ __ ]

and being down this Rico Newark boy [ __ ] yo what are you doing hold up can I defend them or not go

  • 49:52

ahead and shoot where can you defend him wait that person to the week the RICO no I don't

  • 50:10

    Joe

  • 50:15

yes when we were at the table you said ice did explain it but he didn't explain it in the proper tents I just didn't say

  • 50:22

[ __ ] he didn't say I say yeah I went to the game of the spot he didn't get into it he didn't get into it until it stop

  • 50:28

dog you lost dog this case is over here that's funny I

  • 50:35

have to say as a juror I heard mention of uh Speak Easy uh uh listen on Friday

  • 50:42

listen to that I wasn't invited though you see how you see how you make her invitations being spread yeah

  • 50:48

Tory got sent up right the guy came in at the last minute

  • 50:54

the guy came in at the last minute here and I was outside so I'm not saying

  • 51:00

he didn't say something about this I'm saying he didn't say to me anything when he hit ish and said we going over here

  • 51:07

tonight from work that's it we got to stay on this the audience might not care about me having her feelings like sir he

  • 51:12

owes you nothing sir innocent good day

  • 51:19

trying to pay you're innocent you got two more months

  • 51:26

another two months of judging for you yeah yeah yeah three yeah yeah

  • 51:35

why do you do that why like why would [ __ ] tell you something probably

  • 51:43

even if I do it I can do it because that is my that word but that's not you don't

  • 51:49

do that to me you're right I'm sorry I'm telling you you're gonna miss me when I'm going You're Gonna Miss Me you may

  • 51:54

not miss me you're not gonna miss me because you're gonna miss me you're gonna miss me I'm gonna be out

  • 52:00

and when I'm out I'm gonna oh you're trying to get this price up yo why why ain't gonna miss you my man

  • 52:06

you're gonna be with me [ __ ] there's your Rico right there

  • 52:18

you were looking the wrong way when I started

  • 52:28

    laughs I can't wait

  • 52:33

I can't wait I can't wait I mean a couple more months shout out to Joe that's hilarious this

  • 52:40

guy's an idiot yo ice did you get a chance to finish the Meg Tori doc because you mentioned that you'd only watched the No No I watched the whole

  • 52:47

thing told him to watch it did you watch it I didn't see the second part you only saw

  • 52:52

the Megs I saw the Meg Paul yeah I agree with this when you said it it sounded and looked crazy

  • 52:57

it made Tory look nasties huh you saw both parts I saw

  • 53:03

both parts did you get a chance to watch it no you'd have no intention of watching not at all why because I know what happened

  • 53:10

you know other than you leave me alone oh [ __ ] leave me alone I'm not I'm not looking to do an interview I'm not

  • 53:16

looking at anything I'm not watching it you asked me why I

  • 53:21

answered it okay what do you think after watching both parts Mel

  • 53:26

um oh God no why do you do that look at ice

  • 53:34

why do we do this here you know I want to hear my co-host and see what she heard what she thinks about watching the

  • 53:40

doctor Meg's part was extremely compelling what about Toby's part

  • 53:47

he you know what's so funny his manager I'm watching it I'm like this guy looks

  • 53:52

    mad familiar I [ __ ] grew up with him I was like oh [ __ ] Freddy he he's got a

  • 53:57

fan base that really totally believe in his innocence and and that's great for him what do you think that's what you

  • 54:05

got out of his side of the dock what that his fan base is like extremely supportive of him yeah that's what I got

  • 54:12

out of it I'm trying to you know sum up my my impression of it

  • 54:18

man after watching he did that [ __ ] after watching both sides he did that

  • 54:24

[ __ ] yeah that's what I take from y'all know he got sins right yeah but people still walking around

  • 54:30

here with questions and saying we know sentencing is just what was proven in court

  • 54:35

okay that don't necessarily mean that his side basically used the fact

  • 54:42

that her story changed um more than once as a reason to um call into question everything that

  • 54:49

she said but I'm watching it and I'm understanding all the reasons why she said what she

  • 54:57

said initially and why she felt compelled to you know hold back some of the truth and then

  • 55:04

tell the truth I get it I understand it makes sense everybody expects her to have like this

  • 55:10

you know like you know legal mind she's what 26 27. yeah

  • 55:19

and it's like trauma happens to you and it's like and you're and you have to make you know these incredible decisions

  • 55:25

on the Fly I don't know man all I took from it is do talk too much and he just shut the

  • 55:33

[ __ ] up she was it looked like and this has been watching both sides it looked like

  • 55:39

dude I'm trying to spare you but you doing so much you in turn piss me off

  • 55:45

and now I open my mouth and say something right a thousand percent um and the fact that he called up Kelsey

  • 55:53

the next day and made the apologies and stuff like that it's just like well what are you apologizing for like what actions are you apologizing for if it

  • 56:00

wasn't that you shot her what did confuse me not even about the doc just about their story and all I do remember seeing reports that he was supposed to

  • 56:06

have been going to court I think it was September 5th or something and I don't know what happened so but I'm done with it if anything else

  • 56:15

comes out if he gets an appeal if then we'll talk about it but as far as I'm concerned it's just over and done with

  • 56:21

right and again from watching it it looked like he did what he was accused of doing

  • 56:28

now I still want to hear alone in prom Deluxe

  • 56:33

the deluxe version of his last of his album I still need that yeah

  • 56:39

I'm feeling very left out what'd you mean I want to know where the Speakeasy is yeah

  • 56:46

come on Hey Big Dog those days are oh well I don't

  • 56:53

know I don't know I was gonna I'll follow you I will follow you guys there

  • 56:59

well I I don't go straight from here that's what I say from where we'll pick a point gonna be y'all wouldn't go out

  • 57:04

    y'all would love y'all wouldn't let Malcolm

  • 57:10

wow wow maybe they got me on that mail list maybe that's why I didn't go oh

  • 57:15

yeah Mel might be on the Joe list nah man

  • 57:22

ain't no list you took him so how he on the list so I

  • 57:29

guess I'm on the list by myself nobody said you want anything if she could go out with y'all

  • 57:36

I don't have a problem with that you say that then say that then fix your lips

  • 57:42

yes you want to go I mean you too oh you're included in

  • 57:48

this I mean how come I didn't get an invite when we left here I wanted to go all right let me tell you I can't answer

  • 57:54

that but I won't we didn't even go from here okay that's what that's I know it seemed that way I

  • 58:00

was home and then yo I'm gonna go over there and made the call yo I'm coming through I'm

  • 58:06

a guy with me all right back all right our audience don't care about y'all hanging out together it's over all right okay Ashton Kutcher Mel what's up

  • 58:14

stop running from the smoke before these mics came on we was we was hype we was

  • 58:19

getting to it now we're running and carrying from the smoke these [ __ ] on the patreon episode had a lot to say

  • 58:25

about the the Masterson dude who got sentenced to have him 30 years to life because of Ashton and Mila wrote those

  • 58:33

letters and these two dudes with their affinity for who knows came in and was like oh [ __ ] the greatest

  • 58:42

nobody came in and said that that ain't what happened but okay so I

  • 58:48

didn't come out with mad adjectives for like the best type of milk oh no I said she's yeah you know she's

  • 58:54

Elite ultimate milk that's what I'm saying okay not his cup of tea uh yeah all

  • 59:02

right well yeah so on the patreon episode we talked about Danny Masterson being sentenced to 30 years for and the

  • 59:10

fact that Ashton um Kutcher and Mila Kunis um wrote letters to the judge basically

  • 59:18

um you know uh standing up for his character and now they have released a statement

  • 59:25

that looked [ __ ] crazy because they received so much criticism and part of

  • 59:31

the criticism is the fact that number one Mila Kunis just recently starred in a movie called the luckiest girl alive

  • 59:37

where she is the victim of a really violent sexual assault and Ashton

  • 59:43

Kutcher is part of a non-profit organization that works to rescue um sex trafficking survivors so when I

  • 59:50

called them rape apologists I that was the hill I was willing to die on because I just I could not believe that these

  • 59:57

two were the ones that sent in a letter and it's one thing if you you know you think that you know you're homing you

  • 1:00:03

want to do what's but no stay the [ __ ] away from this wildfire and they didn't then their knee-deep and [ __ ] they're

  • 1:00:09

they look crazy so so let me let me just first on my the questions when we had

  • 1:00:15

that discussion that I post to you I'm like what's wrong with writing a character letter I was under

  • 1:00:23

the assumption incorrectly I've admitted it on Twitter hey look I was wrong I I learned this after we had already

  • 1:00:30

finished recording that those letters were not written during the trial those letters were after conviction and were

  • 1:00:37

to the judge hoping that the judge imposed a lighter sentence I totally disagree with that right now

  • 1:00:44

I'm knowing that having that extra information yeah I'm with you I'm 100 I was wrong in

  • 1:00:50

that and I'm 100 with you that's right it's okay I'll be wrong sometimes but um

  • 1:00:57

yeah no it happens your person was convicted of doing this horrible [ __ ] I don't care if that's your man's whatever

  • 1:01:03

it is hey if you want don't say [ __ ] then right but you for you to come out here and

  • 1:01:09

still ask for leniency on them it is absolutely and now I understand why they were calling them rape apologists I get

  • 1:01:15

it yeah okay that's me one one down in our duck hunt yeah that's one damn big

  • 1:01:21

mouth no I'm staying with everything I said again when we were talking initially um

  • 1:01:26

two down nobody nobody knew that it was a post conviction no I did

  • 1:01:33

I did and we've been having a debate as to whether or not um you know character letter character

  • 1:01:39

letters and reference letters come into play during the court proceedings before can before conviction or acquittal or

  • 1:01:46

after and we're still having that disagreement because I don't I don't think that they do I think that that

  • 1:01:51

would be interfering with the court proceedings they're all the letters come during the second the second sentence

  • 1:01:57

recommendation um portion of the trial kick them while they're down now I mean I'm just saying

  • 1:02:03

right like it was just I was surprised that the response like you know

  • 1:02:09

all right you got a big deal you got them I just

  • 1:02:14

again I don't know nothing about court proceedings high in a criminal and I don't really associate with criminals so

  • 1:02:20

I don't know that is true as your merch lets us know yeah I'm gonna tell but um

  • 1:02:28

    yeah I I don't I didn't know that's really it was just a learning I would just get a t-shirt that says that that

  • 1:02:33

would be epic no he doesn't and he won't I would not do that oh

  • 1:02:39

that's right newer boys of coward down back in the street no no no it's a tree it's called accountability and

  • 1:02:45

retreating that's right score one for the male the melites so goofy that's

  • 1:02:52

crazy again oh my God you guys thought make it you know what

  • 1:02:59

stuck my dick guys isn't that like the greatest piece of

  • 1:03:05

party version you've ever gotten I think so I think so it sounds like that whole show was nasty too all the interviews

  • 1:03:11

that have come out since bro I saw the one interview I'm not sure who it was they were

  • 1:03:16

interviewing um because I keep [ __ ] it up and she was

  • 1:03:22

like yeah I'm I'm the [ __ ] on the show and the dude she was like yeah I've kissed every male on the show except for

  • 1:03:29

one person and the the host was like well damn like that's kind of messed up

  • 1:03:35

she's like yeah it is he's like why are they writing you to do that she's like I don't know I have no idea like I wish they didn't but that's what

  • 1:03:41

they're writing so I just got to do it and the even crazier part is how old she was when she started working she was 14

  • 1:03:47

years old and they were writing in like her making out with all the dudes that were much older yeah and the fact that

  • 1:03:53

she describes herself as the [ __ ] like it just the [ __ ] that people used to get away with yeah that was [ __ ] up it was

  • 1:03:59

    [ __ ] crazy Wednesday fun [ __ ] it's going on

  • 1:04:12

[Music] let me tell you something funny so I

  • 1:04:19

took my girl to a strip club Saturday right she

  • 1:04:24

how much money did you take out a lot um trying to see how to work this

  • 1:04:30

she's a strip club novice okay so it was very funny watching

  • 1:04:36

someone who don't really know what to do in a strip club navigate oh my God it

  • 1:04:42

got so first off I took a couple sacks whatever I gave her some money

  • 1:04:48

her song come on through the whole stack no yeah she's hitting that once and she's dancing with like this I'm like yo

  • 1:04:54

put the money down what are you doing yo what are you doing

  • 1:05:00

here they go here they go here they go here go the shark I was like oh here comes the show now the first one gets

  • 1:05:06

the first one I tell you know tell her come around so she's she she's done now the girl won't leave

  • 1:05:12

like she's like okay she don't understand this so she's looking at me like can you make her leave and she

  • 1:05:19

still got money she's still giving her money I'm like baby she's not gonna leave until you stop spinning actually we gotta tuck that what's in your hand

  • 1:05:26

she gonna stay there oh man it was a blasto it was fun it was fun like just

  • 1:05:31

strip club girls strip clubs it was great and they'd be nice women be nice

  • 1:05:37

in the strip club oh yeah they want to make friends and [ __ ] yo somebody will like

  • 1:05:43

you guys look right at you no no every girl that walked by a Shoe Fly okay I need more now I'm like no but you

  • 1:05:50

you bust ten Grand they're running out your hands like Emmett I take ran away in recession I mean I've

  • 1:05:58

never reacting to the people that are doing that more power to you out there um

  • 1:06:07

talk about it for real honestly yeah foreclosure get a rough IRA go ahead

  • 1:06:14

shout out to Ian and red panda get you some stock you know what I'm saying get you some Microsoft what do you say

  • 1:06:20

Microsoft Tesla IBM and Google yeah do all that no IBM club party but yeah no

  • 1:06:28

that [ __ ] was a blast though man yo tell me about the uh the Ugandan kids

  • 1:06:34

oh that's crazy um I can't wait till this dot comes out HBO is running a dock and they getting

  • 1:06:40

they coming under Fire for uh pushing a dock it's about a white lady that moved to Uganda

  • 1:06:47

and was allegedly a fake doctor that opened up a fake Clinic in which a whole hundreds of Ugandan

  • 1:06:54

kids were dying under her care and so now the uh HBO is pushing a doc about the lady because she said the

  • 1:07:00

deaths weren't intentional or her actions weren't intentional but if you're a fake doctor opening up a fake

  • 1:07:06

clinic in Africa it was some intent yeah so three-part three-part dog HBO doing

  • 1:07:12

it you know Doc Holiday over here he know about it yeah but well because it

  • 1:07:17

came on the fire so there was a lot of there was a lot of backlash the problem with the backlash is y'all showed me the

  • 1:07:22

    trailer to the dock

  • 1:07:35

oh my God they don't play it looked great

  • 1:07:40

sorry to anybody that you know has my effects so well harmed so the lady probably had to get some financial

  • 1:07:47

compensation for the doc so basically y'all just gave this chick money for some [ __ ] I don't know if that's

  • 1:07:53

true is she in the dark the doc is going to be predicated on her

  • 1:07:58

she got to get something I could have released her no I said fleece terms she got something no yeah

  • 1:08:05

700 we don't know we don't know we don't know that well she appeared is

  • 1:08:10

what we know gotcha she appeared she's actually in the doctor yeah she's in it oh yeah

  • 1:08:16

she's in it going through it she's explaining herself she's in there saying [ __ ] like hey I do

  • 1:08:23

believe that we helped a bunch of kids also so this is white people's version of the BS High dude

  • 1:08:30

    um

  • 1:08:36

BS doc certain things but this is the white people version of

  • 1:08:42

that he had a fake school she got a fake Hospital [Music]

  • 1:08:48

what what is the difference he said he was helping underprivileged kids she said she was helping other privileged kids

  • 1:08:53

yeah he was getting money for this from the state from everybody and from the state Bill

  • 1:08:59

and she was getting money from probably everybody what is the difference well

  • 1:09:04

the difference is people died I'm talking about in the scam I'm only talking about in the scam I'm not

  • 1:09:10

talking about the uh severity so do we know if because that's horrible do we know if that's

  • 1:09:15

interesting like was that the intention of her over there it don't matter you intended to lie when you said no no no

  • 1:09:21

I'm not I'm just saying yes you intended a lot to make fake school I mean fake hospital I'm just

  • 1:09:27

saying was she over there like this is an agenda like I want to kill off as many as part sorry it could be something like you're saying some white supremacy

  • 1:09:33

undertones some people's opinion I don't know how valid it is but my [ __ ] if you over there uh

  • 1:09:40

experiment on people and you don't have a medical degree

  • 1:09:45

it's disgusting it's funny what are you talking about how much you know what I'm saying go through that [ __ ] in Poland somewhere like you went to Uganda

  • 1:09:55

get the [ __ ] out of here dodo thank you for that experience

  • 1:10:04

okay but wait so HBO is saying that like they're receiving criticism but are they still gonna air it

  • 1:10:10

[Music] yeah spent money they're gonna air it criticism is a commercial and if they

  • 1:10:16

and if they don't here guess we're gonna be knocking on the door

  • 1:10:23

    Eric

  • 1:10:28

that's it anything for a dollar my [ __ ] that's crazy like criticism is a good commercial actually you see the uh but

  • 1:10:35

the docks the docs are for scammers they're not for victims you know I know victims think that the docs are for them

  • 1:10:42

the docs are not for victims very seldom do the dot does the doc ever result in

  • 1:10:48

some type of resolution healing yeah healing so a lot

  • 1:10:54

of times you hear the story after the doc from the victim way this dog is [ __ ] me up and [ __ ] my family up making me happy making [ __ ] worse but

  • 1:11:01

this is true what I'm telling you that boy scout doc I thought I had some good [ __ ] on the way I ordered me some

  • 1:11:06

ubereats order me a little catfish basket right

  • 1:11:11

there from the boil in Jersey City ah shout out y'all in case y'all want to give the [ __ ] a discount we was talking

  • 1:11:17

about the New York Liberty and now they're offering us tickets to the game that's the playoffs next week

  • 1:11:22

next week yo thank you um

  • 1:11:28

we also got an offer to go to Colorado come on man huh

  • 1:11:33

uh they gave me the date and want to know if you know I'll talk to everybody oh with d

  • 1:11:40

    with d with d I'm tired

  • 1:11:48

    [Music]

  • 1:11:57

I'm going to that Liberty game I'm going at Liberty game that sounds fun yeah uh what was we on just now before that

  • 1:12:05

did that listen I'm watching it sorry that's it that's

  • 1:12:12

what I got they already tried to kill me for laughing at the BS High doc they did yo

  • 1:12:17

the internet can't kill me no more they can't they keep laughing at that yes because they said what nothing funny

  • 1:12:25

in the beginning and have a shitty sense of humor and we were yeah but why I

  • 1:12:31

can't have a tradition to humor dark humor exists too you know why can't I I defend my right to have a shitty sense of humor

  • 1:12:37

I want no sauce bro I'm just we in America is it a whole list of [ __ ] that's a lot shittier than my sense of

  • 1:12:44

humor y'all can't affect what I laugh at in the house [ __ ] put 21 year olds in a

  • 1:12:49

high school game what he has been and you all think I'm not about to laugh what a fake school who the [ __ ] are

  • 1:12:55

  • 1:13:41

because that's not a scam what they were doing oh see I don't know it's not a scam that's yeah

  • 1:13:46

sexual abuse it's not a scam over the course of decades yeah yes it was gnarly

  • 1:14:24

    distasteful or distressing offensive gross

  • 1:14:37

very dangerous and exciting that's what I got from the Ninja Turtles

  • 1:14:42

very bad very difficult unpleasant disgusting and that's from our Tech experts

  • 1:14:48

    so it's the greatest Turtle

  • 1:14:54

so we got it from him that's what we got that [ __ ] but I never heard that word to the turtles anyway yeah they were too

  • 1:14:59

  • 1:15:22

that [ __ ] back in the day you want some free time come on yeah

  • 1:15:30

what about me saying to you that I want to go up there and tie a knot with them

  • 1:15:37

goofy [ __ ] next to same house you might want to learn how to start a fire so I dropped out of that [ __ ]

  • 1:15:44

    [Laughter]

  • 1:16:04

    [Music]

  • 1:16:19

    [Applause]

  • 1:16:25

anything my mom tried to put me in and the first day I got there they started talking about the uniform

  • 1:16:34

I'm not wearing a [ __ ] uniform type of goofy thing this is they try to put

  • 1:16:39

the little green [ __ ] yellow yellow ass got around [ __ ] was literally 250 feet from my

  • 1:16:46

house you think I'm walking with this clown [ __ ] huh a Boy Scout no for real I think I think

  • 1:16:55

back and remember all the time but the piano classes after school some

  • 1:17:00

saxophones Boys Scout my mom was outside yo boy scouts I start remembering all

  • 1:17:07

    them drift to Grandma so

  • 1:17:21

    [Laughter]

  • 1:17:27

    you know who working tonight

  • 1:17:37

    see you tomorrow with the Heavy Hitters holy [ __ ] that's [ __ ] up you stupid that's [ __ ] up

  • 1:17:48

    [Music]

  • 1:17:56

hey all y'all parents out there with y'all dirty ass kids is already starting one day of school my son come home with

  • 1:18:02

the sniffles I'm gonna [ __ ] you all up they said three days the kids is getting

  • 1:18:07

sick in three days day one day one with your nasty ass houses out there

  • 1:18:24

you can see the kids like oh yeah yeah

  • 1:18:34

rolling all around the ground it's three o'clock yeah then when I come kick your kid

  • 1:18:41

You're Gonna Wanna fight me I ain't see little Tommy rolling around down here

  • 1:18:46

and then when I hug your kid before they leave yeah don't touch my kids don't

  • 1:18:52

touch my kids yeah yo stop trying to use [ __ ] kids to have small talk oh little jelly [ __ ] we out I'm not stopping so

  • 1:18:59

you could talk to no all of that no no no I give you a demo tape

  • 1:19:11

if you pay attention early is where you spot parents targeting other parents

  • 1:19:18

households to like become family and [ __ ] I don't know if y'all want to get into this here so they they peep your

  • 1:19:25

watch to see if you're good for a sleepover I'm just saying oh he got he got the truck oh yeah you could be

  • 1:19:31

friends with that [ __ ] your parents know which houses they want their kid to go to and which houses they don't what

  • 1:19:36

they get to go through and those talks be funny too I think

  • 1:19:42

I don't who said what I said you think yes I don't have to think

  • 1:19:48

I was going to ask how you guys feel about like sleepovers your kids having sleepovers

  • 1:19:55

it's a hard one for me because like I do got to ask them this and

  • 1:20:00

not 10 years you got I got daughters it's a little

  • 1:20:05

different when you got Sons I think you navigate that a little differently boys don't like to have sleepovers with their friends of course like when they're

  • 1:20:11

young like super young like you know it's different now what I know what I

  • 1:20:17

would I have fun noticing in my oldest is the pressure to work

  • 1:20:23

like for him where is the time now to do all the

  • 1:20:29

things that come with courtship and women and arguments and the relationship and she lives over here you don't have a

  • 1:20:34

car no he said she said sleepovers like and having spend the night sleepovers as

  • 1:20:39

kids yeah at somebody's house no show me like spend the night as adults she mean like when you're 10 years old and y'all

  • 1:20:46

spent the night over Kareem crib when you was a kid that's over it

  • 1:20:57

that's that's different now yeah it's over we was trick-or-treating when we was young too that's true too now it's

  • 1:21:03

Trunk or Treat no this [ __ ] still trick or treat I won't be taking they still trick or treat

  • 1:21:08

I don't trust people's households trust people but there you go I went through

  • 1:21:14

something like that recently with with somebody I know where they they uh day kid had their friend like his

  • 1:21:22

homeboy spent a night at his house but you got siblings there's girls

  • 1:21:27

okay that's what I said you navigate it you navigate that differently as as a boy I

  • 1:21:34

mean if you have a boy and you have a girl you navigate that situation there's no yeah if I got a brother insisted

  • 1:21:39

there's no sleepovers over here you little dirty asses my friends could stay it's [ __ ] up double standard her

  • 1:21:44

friends maybe she can get to spend the night a sleepover your friends homeboy I'm not under this house my daughter

  • 1:21:50

went to a sleep at um my cousin's house my uncle's house and I found out later

  • 1:21:55

on that there was you know my daughter and my son but there was some boys there it was like a whole sleeper I was I lost

  • 1:22:00

my mind [ __ ] what hey hey princess get your ass in the car now go pick up now Jay I'll go get

  • 1:22:06

princess right now never and of course my uncle did the right thing and and had my children

  • 1:22:12

in the room next to his room but still I don't think I was a kid before I slept over and I went downstairs you think I

  • 1:22:19

did and I did a lot of [ __ ] so I'm not nah and karma karma just so happens to

  • 1:22:24

visit me every once in a while nope not with that one that's really the big [ __ ] you'd be sitting there like you want to protect your kids from your karma

  • 1:22:30

exactly you know what I'm saying like I know the [ __ ] that I did [ __ ] you let me sleep over your house

  • 1:22:37

and there's a girl in my age that I like [ __ ] and she's giving me the look three in the morning

  • 1:22:44

from your karma y'all think you never heard that children are included uh no I

  • 1:22:51

don't can't say that they say that uh y'all think children are included in our Karma everything sometimes that you pay

  • 1:22:56

for your sins of the father your karmic retribution ain't got to hit you it doesn't have to hit you and also

  • 1:23:04

you know I'm in the middle with that sometimes I just think life be life in man the same opportunities that we had

  • 1:23:10

in the decisions we make our children have the same opportunity to make different decisions and boys gonna be boys I feel like people want to find an

  • 1:23:16

excuse for everything not saying you man I'm just saying that's that's how I think you just want to find a reason to blame oh it's common for what I did 40

  • 1:23:22

years oh yeah people throw the words made a dumb decision yeah you wouldn't

  • 1:23:28

have done that because maybe as a child your parent was more aggressive with you or more lenient so you make different

  • 1:23:35

decisions you might have been more Street Smart so you ain't do no dumpster your kid's a little naive whatever the people you hate that word Karma though

  • 1:23:42

Karma do you believe in it Gaslight I hate all these words all these new words bro I don't like people Karma anymore

  • 1:23:49

you're stupid because you can't light it without gas exactly and the definition

  • 1:23:54

is definitely I never will understand everybody uses that word you gaslighted

  • 1:23:59

making the person feel like they're wrong when you're wrong I think that's what it is right and shut the [ __ ] up no

  • 1:24:05

I'm just trying to convince the story and make you see my point and one of them uh smart [ __ ] College people

  • 1:24:13

tried to tell me one day that all of society is using the term gas light

  • 1:24:19

wrong because in order to Gaslight you have to have some sort of relationship

  • 1:24:25

with the person because that's how it becomes gaslighting it means you know enough

  • 1:24:30

to manipulate to mislead that makes sense two you can't just Gaslight a

  • 1:24:37

strange gaslighting me now I just met you now I don't know that to be true you can look it up on your own no it's true

  • 1:24:47

    and you know

  • 1:24:55

all y'all [ __ ] manipulate we all manipulate but [ __ ] just pick and choose what they want to acknowledge as manipulation no you manipulate yeah hold

  • 1:25:03

on you manipulate your boss y'all I can't come in today big dog uh I'm sick dude that's manipulation you get in your

  • 1:25:08

way yeah hey yo make sure if you go to sleep right now you can get the candy tomorrow

  • 1:25:15

that's the form of manipulation yes it is everyone manipulates

  • 1:25:20

it's just about acceptance and Society I think that [ __ ] is wagon hey yo talk about this Society

  • 1:25:27

oh cool Jay was talking recently and he was talking about uh I may be working around but he was talking about

  • 1:25:34

um the negative connotation that's attached to selfishness and he started talking about like uh how having

  • 1:25:40

selfishness or being selfish can be positive in many ways his example he used was if you want if you're on the

  • 1:25:47

plane and the [ __ ] is about to go down you're gonna put your oxygen mask on and

  • 1:25:53

then you're gonna make sure that the person next to you maybe can put it on there's nothing wrong with you being selfish in that instant I think there

  • 1:26:00

are positive and negative spins to things manipulation is one of them one I think about all the time is trust right

  • 1:26:05

like I've gotten on I've gotten on flights with women that maybe had some

  • 1:26:11

trust issues with me and would say things like hey I have trust issues I don't trust I have a hard time trusting

  • 1:26:16

and I would be there thinking you have no idea just how much you do trust you couldn't even function in life if you

  • 1:26:22

didn't trust that's true you trust that this pilot is going to drive this [ __ ] correctly you trusted that Uber driver

  • 1:26:28

to not [ __ ] crash well enough so that you can go to sleep till we get there like your trust kicks in in ways that

  • 1:26:33

you just paid absolutely no money from complete strangers it's a fact that's true that's a fact that makes sense

  • 1:26:39

thousand percent we just use things at our convenience I just think we everybody groupies and they just hear

  • 1:26:45

these terms and they rock with the terms and they run with it and time and most times they don't even know what that [ __ ] means I saw some [ __ ] where the

  • 1:26:51

[ __ ] talking about narcissism and he was basically going on to say how um if you look up the definition of

  • 1:26:58

narcissism it means like believing highly in oneself and he's saying why would we push our kids away from

  • 1:27:04

narcissism and then he conversely read the definition of being humble and whatever dictionary he used the

  • 1:27:11

definition of humble was almost like mad passive not having any uh

  • 1:27:17

backbone yeah hoping you're so I mean Faith In Yourself Etc et cetera he's like we always try to commend the humble

  • 1:27:23

and we shoot at the narcissist or narcissism and he was like yo it should be the opposite so

  • 1:27:29

these buzzwords be having people running around they'll know what the [ __ ] they'd be saying they just say it because it's popular I totally agree with that like

  • 1:27:36

[ __ ] don't be knowing what you mean like weak means

  • 1:27:42

you lack discipline weak means you cannot

  • 1:27:50

support your own weight you can't carry the spot you stand in

  • 1:27:58

    [ __ ] can't afford a funeral but be ready to die

  • 1:28:05

I was yeah you want to rap so bad yeah you ought to put that in a nice bar I ain't gonna hold you you understand you

  • 1:28:11

would have spun that one around with that one it's true I'm gonna come

  • 1:28:17

in here uh when I do all improper improv too and really get my bars off get my [ __ ] off after you after you

  • 1:28:25

leave what do you think you're gonna do if you

  • 1:28:30

if like honestly you think I'm gonna let you leave yeah how you see it in your head do you see me grabbing at your legs

  • 1:28:36

no no where you think you're going you got too much pride and ego to do that you think so I think that you don't let

  • 1:28:42

me leave I think could you I'm your man if I something I want to do you're gonna say yo

  • 1:28:50

did what you had to do here the goal was to always escalate Ascend graduate I want you to see you do better things you

  • 1:28:56

think I want to say you do better I do I do think you want to see me do better I do I do think that you have a conversation with me though like if it

  • 1:29:03

comes to that I think that you'll give me the opportunity to express myself and that's the type of person you are you'll

  • 1:29:08

listen now would you abide by it I don't think so yeah I want to tell y'all I was telling I was telling friends and I do

  • 1:29:15

want to see you do better I'm joking around I I want to uh I'm calling my [ __ ] persons then call them black and white say it say it what's the name of

  • 1:29:22

it late night black and white yeah see that's what I'm saying that [ __ ] I

  • 1:29:28

gotta stop doing this coming to help my man it didn't matter if it was gonna stop trying to play them purple smoke is knowing the name no it ain't

  • 1:29:36

when you're doing LinkedIn when you're doing your LinkedIn say it because you

  • 1:29:41

recently appeared on I put it in my reels

  • 1:29:46

it's facts though why you post that old ass picture of the Cowboys logo

  • 1:29:53

the [ __ ] was fire but when it wasn't can I finish so what happened was when you

  • 1:29:59

cropped it to fit Instagram yeah when you put it in the Android that's all I heard yeah like why you don't know how to post

  • 1:30:06

40 to nothing you can't even post a wavy pick of your logo nah that's not true you had the white stripe at the top with

  • 1:30:13

the Instagram cropping and [ __ ] this don't do that the definition of the picture don't do that y'all look like BS

  • 1:30:19

    High yeah yeah um

  • 1:30:27

I don't have anything to say I know you don't I mean I saw the fans like oh make sure you get Joe because blah blah blah

  • 1:30:34

well y'all ain't heard a word out of me that assumed that the Giants would be something actually in our talks behind

  • 1:30:41

the scenes I hate when you suck your teeth at me you used to be my man um and our talks behind the scenes I say

  • 1:30:47

I don't know what they're gonna do I don't think we're gonna be as good as we were last year I think we'll take a step back I think y'all gonna be way better

  • 1:30:56

I don't see better than last year one and when it came into Dallas game all I keep saying was I gotta see on paper

  • 1:31:03

Dallas is much better to carry but I got to see what Dallas offense look like and what everything from the giants look

  • 1:31:09

like and I didn't watch that game you always tweeting me X and me threading me yo let me tell y'all what my new [ __ ] is

  • 1:31:15

ignoring all you [ __ ] that [ __ ] is so wavy yo and the waviest part about it is

  • 1:31:22

Sunday come I wake up wipe my eyes and the stupid ass Apple people want to send

  • 1:31:28

me my screen time at the top they'd be like oh [ __ ] yo button your screen time down they'd be surprised

  • 1:31:34

hey screen time down 16 big dog it's almost like I'm in the contract with that oh [ __ ] yeah oh [ __ ] yeah you ain't

  • 1:31:42

been using this [ __ ] what up

  • 1:31:50

it was a rainy game football's on and I got a fantasy team that's 2-0 I was glued to the Atlanta game

  • 1:31:57

  • 1:33:01

  • 1:33:07

not smart I'm bad so anything you want to say I'm sorry black king

  • 1:33:13

    [Laughter]

  • 1:33:19

why you were so dismissive of Isis Squad I didn't think your squad looks that good on paper ice no part you weren't

  • 1:33:26

familiar with his game you had to apologize coaching error man Jerry Judy

  • 1:33:31

was supposed to uh he was injured and then he was in and then they he was injured at the game time and I've missed it

  • 1:33:38

especially when you're smog is a coach and I'll say to you if you lost on the

  • 1:33:44

Jerry Judy play Then you weren't gonna just definitively wait wipe ice I

  • 1:33:49

wouldn't have definitively won no okay that's all I wanted yeah congratulations on your W appreciate that I'm sure we'll

  • 1:33:56

play again later yo shout out to all the fantasy dudes out there and it ain't lost the game yet shout out to teams

  • 1:34:01

that are 1-0 in the room actual teams not fantasy we're talking about real world teams okay that are the top of the

  • 1:34:09

performance you're still supporting football after what they did

  • 1:34:15

this loyal way for real all he did was take a knee to us you still watching wow yeah I

  • 1:34:22

    couldn't do it I don't know did they they did I don't

  • 1:34:30

watch that [ __ ] I stand with cap I know and you sit with the Steelers

  • 1:34:35

I don't miss the stress that comes along with fantasy football I don't at all it was it was a stressful Sunday like I

  • 1:34:42

really didn't care nothing about what my real life teams were doing I care about the Cowboys but I definitely was on fantasy it's even worse when you're

  • 1:34:49

going into a dog fight into the Monday night game at least let me know all right

  • 1:34:54

we was like what two points apart yeah I was about three I think going into the Monday night game but you had to kick

  • 1:34:59

her in and Breece yeah you know I know would you like to talk about your Dolphins you seem rather proud very

  • 1:35:05

proud felt like the 90s Dolphins damn Reno era oh my Lord

  • 1:35:12

that's the game of the week you just hating over there that was an amazing football game it was damn near playoff

  • 1:35:17

atmosphere in the [ __ ] first game of the season amazing game two out dude

  • 1:35:22

your man smoked his boots in his in his house

  • 1:35:31

record set of numbers top three no he no he can do that when he's breathing

  • 1:35:39

I'm with you hey I don't want to hear you talk quarterbacks to me

  • 1:35:45

he not the worst that performance was I mean he's disgusting he keeps trying

  • 1:35:51

to attack me and I keep trying to not defend the Giants at all yo the Giants not that bad said a word about it but I

  • 1:35:57

    don't even I don't care I don't care [ __ ] posted a picture of saquan Barkley outfit that little motorcycle

  • 1:36:03

jacket and a tank top or some [ __ ] they was like we about to lose about 40 and sure enough they was right lost right by

  • 1:36:08

four we did right by Ford then somebody else called Aaron Rodgers [ __ ] they was like that yo tonight Aaron Rodgers is

  • 1:36:14

going to tear his ACL in the rain on metlife's Turf I didn't like seeing that

  • 1:36:20

though yes that wasn't it because it's going to be hard for him to

  • 1:36:26

bounce back at this age too okay can I def can I defend the dark sense of humor

  • 1:36:31

better than anything I have a dark sense of humor y'all me too now with that said that [ __ ] was

  • 1:36:37

hilarious of course we're sad that he's hurt and of course we're sad for Jet fans I do have a heart I saw a million

  • 1:36:44

little things come on and This Is Us I have my heart an empath but you cannot

  • 1:36:50

come on but you can't tell me that that grandiose entrance with all of

  • 1:36:56

them lights and all of those screaming fast [ __ ] look like the Super Bowl with him holding the flag running out a whole

  • 1:37:02

team behind him fresh off a hard knocks like we've had a a six seven week Runway

  • 1:37:08

up to this it was an election all the major networks saying that this is a Super Bowl team this is the best team

  • 1:37:15

the odds uh the decreased by more than

  • 1:37:20

half for them to win the Super Bowl like the energy getting sucked out of that building on the very first drive duh

  • 1:37:28

Tyler Perry couldn't script this no better than this he was running around for his life after I just watched them

  • 1:37:34

screaming at the uh o-line for four episodes the old line is bad he was running for his life it was the funniest

  • 1:37:42

thing in the world so then when he didn't get up it's like oh now look at you for laughing at us

  • 1:37:48

yesterday laughing at my Giants now look back to Zach Zach come on now Zach

  • 1:37:54

hey big Zack no they almost took him out the game yeah yeah he got [ __ ] up he almost took him out of the game he got

  • 1:38:01

[ __ ] up do y'all think that he got up do y'all think that Colin Kaepernick deserves an opportunity with the New

  • 1:38:06

York Jets absolutely no yes I mean opportunity oh opportunity yeah yeah opportunity like what did you say no to

  • 1:38:13

yeah why did you say no I don't think if I just say no [ __ ] I mean ice that man

  • 1:38:18

ain't played football in how many years that's why that's why well I mean it's hard to the game moves

  • 1:38:26

you haven't competed and played in years does it matter that he is he says that

  • 1:38:31

he's been keeping himself in shape and keeping yourself in shape and playing competitively against world class

  • 1:38:38

athletes there's two different things which he was one at at then you got to be able to block out the noise you the

  • 1:38:44

noise you got to be able to block out the noise especially when I speak to his

  • 1:38:50

wife and this is like yo do you know how it feels as a wife to watch your husband get up still every morning at 4 00 a.m

  • 1:38:57

and go work out in hopes that one day the phone might ring and if the phone rings you have to be in shape I was

  • 1:39:04

about to cry with her I'm [ __ ] up listening like oh that's so wrong

  • 1:39:09

what an injustice it won't be a hell of a storyline though not for nothing well

  • 1:39:14

that's what I'm saying Jeff hands was talking about Tom Brady coming back he's not coming back he's not coming back he's the owner of the Raiders he can't

  • 1:39:19

come back he's not going back and I wouldn't want to see him come back and away with the Jets like Patriots Jets against his Raiders stake but I doubt

  • 1:39:27

that he was very very so now they start talking about names like Nick Foles Carson Wentz Matt Ryan like the bums the

  • 1:39:35

bums of the bums with the exception of Nick Foles depending on how his health is if Colin Kaepernick just has to beat

  • 1:39:40

out Matt Ryan respectfully uh Carson Wentz and maybe Nick Foles

  • 1:39:48

yeah I think he deserves a shot a shot yeah but do I think he deserves a shot

  • 1:39:53

I don't think he's going to be and if there were ever a team like

  • 1:39:59

suited for what we remember his ability to be it's the Jets you got two stud

  • 1:40:05

running backs you got a A depleted o-line kind of wide receiver you can run around and you do have receivers that

  • 1:40:11

can create separation get the ball I think it would be a beautiful NFL story so beautiful that the NFL might

  • 1:40:18

not back it that's too beautiful of a story for the NFL to back yeah because they look like dog [ __ ]

  • 1:40:24

if he came back out of nowhere and just kicked up they look so and then that's just not the agenda right like Ian calls

  • 1:40:29

me the other day and we don't talk football we talk business but he calls the other day and he says hey buddy

  • 1:40:36

I'm watching these football games you see how many medicine ads they're

  • 1:40:41

giving us and I was like well yeah because I noticed stuff like that because those

  • 1:40:46

commercials that's mad farmer yeah the commercials for the girls they're trying to kill our girls

  • 1:40:52

everybody yo yeah but they'll just shoot us they're trying to possible causes yeah

  • 1:40:58

they're trying to call them exactly nausea blindness kidney stones blood clots

  • 1:41:06

and in small cases death they just gradually increase headaches nausea

  • 1:41:12

    seizures it gets Progressive

  • 1:41:18

in minor cases death like no I'm gonna just go ahead and stick with the gangrene on my toes

  • 1:41:24

I'm cool Fam I'm dying yeah anyway I saw something on the news this

  • 1:41:30

morning I'm not going to serious this out but I thought I would mention it FDA approves new covid-19 boosters nope

  • 1:41:37

they're just waiting on approval from the CDC

  • 1:41:42

um all the docs about the Sackler family tell me that the CDC will approve this they will approve we could come up with

  • 1:41:50

some [ __ ] in that kitchen in there if it's going to make money it'll get approved there you go I ain't gonna lie if one of y'all do a doc on the sack

  • 1:41:56

with family imma watch it they were so they just moved like none of us mattered well

  • 1:42:04

I don't care what they putting in that [ __ ] it won't be in me Falls

  • 1:42:10

good pause but she was big facts I was big wrong oh my [ __ ] look at that

  • 1:42:15

accountability why everybody look down on just being wrong enough I I appreciate it it's all right it's all

  • 1:42:22

right I'm not I'm not gonna get it again I've done any regrets but I'm not getting it's not even regrets I'm just

  • 1:42:28

done aren't they going back to us having to show proof of vaccination in

  • 1:42:34

restaurants and all they are saying that back to cooking yo humans act so helpless we won't be

  • 1:42:42

able to go to the Broadway play if we don't sell them the proof of vaccination no Broadway I know a tap dancing little

  • 1:42:49

[ __ ] named Raheem he goes right to Lincoln Center

  • 1:42:55

oh look they're on the screen you won't be able to get into the Nick game if you

  • 1:43:01

don't show vaccination that's what you all think Corey wasn't going to get no backs

  • 1:43:21

it's cool why are they playing with us like we ain't got no tools and resources on the ground level like we can't hit

  • 1:43:27

somebody to get us to fake vaccination ships now where they get tricky now did you

  • 1:43:32

see him is when you start flying around trying to do your little where you like to go Istanbul with some [ __ ] you like you

  • 1:43:39

always like to go to istanbulance

  • 1:43:44

it's a podcast no no why are you not gonna say nothing because I'm not incriminating myself uh

  • 1:43:50

Roger Rabbit [ __ ] you could get around stuff yes America is made for circumventing them [ __ ] in the Vans

  • 1:43:57

    [ __ ] hold your head here

  • 1:44:06

    I got like five of them [ __ ] [ __ ] Far Rockaway Park the Queens

  • 1:44:13

    Boulevard

  • 1:44:27

she crazy holy [ __ ] can you imagine

  • 1:44:46

it's never a quick answer out of you yeah like no you didn't

  • 1:44:52

um what are you doing I don't want to answer oh say that

  • 1:45:00

why you can't force me to answer about my medical history that is invasive like we get we just

  • 1:45:07

started asking [ __ ] that's private like it's casual I mean I guess you get through all right okay you got

  • 1:45:13

    vaccinated yeah

  • 1:45:18

because it felt too good when they put it in my vein it's what what did it do your body it should feel good

  • 1:45:25

it felt like when you were sick you get murdered

  • 1:45:33

Joe had said that you're a freaky boy another boy

  • 1:45:52

yes I was in the area I wanted to talk to you man come there hang out and talk let's talk about it right now

  • 1:46:00

I got the call this morning because we had an idea that would shake

  • 1:46:06

up the internet so that's why I called him but I did come ahead aggressive this morning you could have shared with the

  • 1:46:12

audience because you can you tell a story better than me I don't do that anymore okay I think the audience no

  • 1:46:18

more fifth War you did say okay I'm not giving them I'm not giving them if you do want to give it to him I support you

  • 1:46:24

and I'm standing by you I came in this morning because I received a call about the patreon episode that everybody is

  • 1:46:30

talking to me about um on Twitter and stuff like that I told him suck my dick I'm gonna turn up on mail again even though I'm being

  • 1:46:37

facetious I got a call this morning after asking my brothers he had to podcast to please bleep that whole part

  • 1:46:44

    out I got a call by calling one of the women [ __ ] [ __ ]

  • 1:46:49

while I was joking and apologize to Mel I thought about oh I know somebody that knows this person I used the wrong name

  • 1:46:56

I try to back it up I I try to take that out it wasn't only the word [ __ ] was

  • 1:47:02

bleeped out so you still know I said the word [ __ ] I gotta call 8 30 this morning and I wasn't too happy about it

  • 1:47:07

I almost slipped out my shower you know I was kind of aggressive on the phone you know phone calls in the shower yes I

  • 1:47:14

do I do you gotta put it on speaker I got the shower with the [ __ ] in the tunnel press the button but yeah so I

  • 1:47:21

came in here flipping this morning and I did Apologize the mail and everybody for saying the word [ __ ]

  • 1:47:26

shots Queen Latifah man that's [ __ ] up I came here wow Joe was like I bought this single as a man that was doing

  • 1:47:33

Viennese that [ __ ] is hard big Jersey Joe was standing right next to me early this morning like this she did both of

  • 1:47:39

the national anthems right giant sand Jets game

  • 1:47:45

oh yeah because the kids didn't know that Queen Latifah can sing yeah yeah she we are done it happens so fast

  • 1:47:54

though it happened fast for me at least the person one of the people that was like yeah why is she doing the anthem

  • 1:48:02

didn't double back was like yo Queen Latif was not even famous enough for y'all to be getting this upset over me

  • 1:48:07

okay I was like no I'll get I'll start Buck 50 and [ __ ] over there I was like dog

  • 1:48:13

don't play with stop playing with us it's bad enough y'all disrespect our Jersey Legend Lauren Hill but I'm not

  • 1:48:19

going to the loudest Queen Latifah

  • 1:48:27

Sports I don't even know she can sing you should probably keep up with sporting events and win their release so

  • 1:48:33

that you don't release shows as the game is on because it would have oh I had a

  • 1:48:38

lot of people in there though 900 almost a thousand people watching live you know I put numbers up salute salute to you

  • 1:48:45

    okay

  • 1:48:55

y'all did that during the game yeah yeah

  • 1:49:03

it shows companies that no matter what adversary is there you can still whatever whatever the word adversity

  • 1:49:10

adversary whatever anniversary yeah see don't make fun what adversity is there no matter what

  • 1:49:18

they got shot through the mud [ __ ] I'm like Kane that's how Carrie Underwood playing the drums like her yeah yeah

  • 1:49:24

give me gunshot give me a gunshot okay yeah do the mud again

  • 1:49:30

did we see what Carrie Underwood do you know she does the Sunday Night Football [ __ ] she sat down at the drums like her

  • 1:49:36

well then I was like oh man I did never see that I didn't think anything I did not see that I saw Malika Andrews here

  • 1:49:42

again bony ass chicken leg walking up the stage why am I think Andrews keep doing that

  • 1:49:47

    foreign [Laughter]

  • 1:50:03

    [Applause]

  • 1:50:15

shout out to her man pardon us Queen yes she made me want to go to a tennis game

  • 1:50:20

I'm sorry I wasn't familiar with your game

  • 1:50:30

she been coming she and she's going through some [ __ ] like they've been robbing

  • 1:50:37

a little bit she's been arguing with the refs she argue with the reference magazines and uh she came through I I

  • 1:50:45

appreciate it okay all the emotion that she showed like that was genuine emotion she was overwhelmed it was flop Coco see

  • 1:50:53

I had a nice clip I was gonna put that on my stories too why didn't you [ __ ] start cracking on my Dallas Stars

  • 1:51:03

listen I'm good they are announcing the new iPhones as well just yesterday the

  • 1:51:10

camera Better Eyes the iPhones are for pre-order Friday

  • 1:51:16

don't they say you're not supposed to order the first batch of iPhone so no they say that about all technology oh

  • 1:51:21

okay I get day one day one I'm getting two even though I don't really I don't

  • 1:51:27

understand what to do different from this phone but I'm gonna get it oh [ __ ] hot as hell right now just going on

  • 1:51:33

    Instagram salute

  • 1:51:49

you know what the 11 is like 11 is crazy that's what I should have beaten up that

  • 1:51:55

[ __ ] you got to upgrade the cool expensive you got 11c or j11

  • 1:52:01

yeah they had the pink [ __ ] the pink one the little girl with the plastic back no and is there

  • 1:52:08

anything else of note that we need to know about from the Africa again like I say almost that new headphones is coming

  • 1:52:13

out in different colors no new watches like I was telling y'all before if you

  • 1:52:18

like you you could you would benefit from an upgrade oh yeah upgrade you don't have to upgrade your phones every

  • 1:52:24

year because I see that I see every year it's the same talk it's oh it's the same phone as last year just minimal improvements well yes because it's

  • 1:52:32

really meant for the people who didn't upgrade last year or the year before last like your phone has meant to last

  • 1:52:37

you three four years true so when he gets a new phone it's going to be night and day for him me getting a new phone

  • 1:52:44

I'm gonna be used to a lot of this [ __ ] it's gonna be damn near the same thing they added a new button they finally put USBC into these phones which me and

  • 1:52:50

Parks have been waiting for what does that mean the course all new charges they're more Universal

  • 1:52:57

the charge is more Universal like radios speakers um a bunch of products that are not eye

  • 1:53:03

based they all use USBC whereas the eye [ __ ] used to only use y'all little apple

  • 1:53:08

cords yeah you know what I'm saying thank you and it's and it's a faster charge faster data transfer it's just

  • 1:53:14

yes it's it's literally it's been a much better chord for the longest they just

  • 1:53:20

been running from it because they were selling their own and they're selling it separately or they're giving it with this iPhone no this is coming with the

  • 1:53:26

last time they sold it separately no charges and stuff they charge the Box separately they charge the little block

  • 1:53:31

separate support no it's not the same [ __ ] the cord that comes in the box is

  • 1:53:37

what we're talking about hold on

  • 1:53:59

    [Laughter]

  • 1:54:17

two times and that was our last outing no we had a good we had a great time we went out to eat we had great

  • 1:54:23

conversation I'm calm I'm not sure where'd y'all go oh how can we not get into that man

  • 1:54:30

because you don't invite nobody to know where you go with you and Becky and them you know invite us with them yeah or random yeah

  • 1:54:37

[Applause] my accountability partner yeah oh my God it was Central Park

  • 1:54:45

did y'all see Mel that male has an accountability partner what's that mean yeah she's my workout partner oh that's

  • 1:54:51

not what you said when your accountability buddy did you call your workout partner

  • 1:54:56

somebody who keeps you accountable in the gym I know you wouldn't know anything about that wow

  • 1:55:07

go back okay oh [ __ ] all the way stop he's gonna

  • 1:55:13

get you back and when he gets you better I don't have to let it go I'm sure he is amazing

  • 1:55:18

but your accountability buddy in the gym and depending on how hard I get it you might do that [ __ ] thing

  • 1:55:24

start crying if you get up and run out

  • 1:55:29

    [Music]

  • 1:55:41

she got some stupid pink outfit on the door women don't need pets why why is

  • 1:55:46

that a bad thing that's not abuse thing how do you know it's not a bad thing how do you know because obviously it was

  • 1:55:53

    sanctioned by PETA

  • 1:56:03

it was pouring raining out this weekend she has a raincoat we went outside she

  • 1:56:09

was able to do her business so sometimes the clothes come in handy and it's her birthday she's wearing a tutu it's

  • 1:56:14

appropriate she looks crazy I only have to listen to this stuff from my girl

  • 1:56:20

your girl got the door oh yeah foreign

  • 1:57:19

like what and his wife because we love talking

  • 1:57:25

about things off Mike and then never bringing them up on the mic no Mel had it she haven't been I know you always have it off the mic but here we go

  • 1:57:31

Tigers Tyrese and his wife well no Tyrese was here talking about everything

  • 1:57:36

yeah shout out to Tyrese that was a great episode um but that's not out yet it's not out

  • 1:57:41

yet that's nice so we gotta preface this okay let's wait so he is in the blogs right now because uh him and DJ and V

  • 1:57:48

are going back and forth on the fact he was council did he say that on the couch he was counseling DJ Envy and his wife

  • 1:57:53

yes okay well um they are basically saying that they stopped the counseling sessions because

  • 1:58:00

he started to shoot at DJ Envy flirt oh shoot you heard me embarrassing

  • 1:58:07

that was my newscaster voice get at her flirt yes there we go okay

  • 1:58:14

she's talking no what his expectations were above me

  • 1:58:19

you know at that time I don't I I I didn't feel as though he was going

  • 1:58:27

through any mental issues I didn't feel as though he was facing any mental challenges at that time I know that he

  • 1:58:34

does go through things and I know that he has been on medication but at that time I felt as though he was very

  • 1:58:40

clear-minded and everything seemed cool but when I started to feel uncomfortable

  • 1:58:47

and you started to feel uncomfortable we took a step back but what lines would cause the people would be like well what

  • 1:58:52

lines did he cross you know I don't really feel comfortable being specific

  • 1:58:59

because at the same time you have a respect for him I know that you still do have a respect for him

  • 1:59:06

um I would feel more comfortable just being General and saying that you know

  • 1:59:12

there was flirting and inappropriate and let me know what his expectations are

  • 1:59:17

and I know that he has been on medication okay yeah I think we get the gist of of that

  • 1:59:27

now what we can't understand these faces you're

  • 1:59:33

making now you have to say something

  • 1:59:59

    I said what you gotta

  • 2:00:06

I would use them yes Coretta yeah anyways

  • 2:00:13

okay who cares if you recognize that to be what it was what that he was shooting

  • 2:00:19

at me yeah asking you I don't know you were there I wasn't he so wasn't

  • 2:00:24

oh we've known each other for it

  • 2:00:31

real quick real quick one two don't put me in it I'm not dog

  • 2:00:36

    but you got four men

  • 2:00:47

you know if I told you who came through for the

  • 2:00:54

auditions for Coretta you would all be like y'all mute the [ __ ] up that's what would happen yo you know what's funny

  • 2:00:59

about meldo not too much amount yeah because we're not dog Pilots I sat

  • 2:01:05

here for a month and listen to you kick a [ __ ] back in

  • 2:01:10

for buying a drink for you and your friends you kick the [ __ ] back in for like

  • 2:01:17

compliments wait hold up oh [ __ ] like that hold up so now you mean to tell me

  • 2:01:23

if anybody else is going is following you to the bathroom or talking to you as

  • 2:01:28

soon as you come out the bathroom and offering you a role to come read like see now that's not what happened that is

  • 2:01:33

not what happened we had to wake away to the episode

  • 2:01:42

he's gonna make them go see it listen what all we know is that Mel decided to

  • 2:01:47

remind Tyrese remember when you came out the bathroom when I came out the bathroom you stopped me at the end of our interview when the interview was

  • 2:01:54

over I mean he was he was sitting here he was dying he was talking a lot so I didn't

  • 2:02:01

feel that that was the time to you know to interject a funny story I've known

  • 2:02:08

    him for [ __ ] 23 years sometimes when you know somebody for a long time she was a [ __ ]

  • 2:02:37

you know what how about this The Narrative that we're constructing right now is way funnier than the truth so

  • 2:02:43

let's stay here let's keep it here oh yeah

  • 2:02:51

so much funnier than the truth so yes absolutely I was coming out of the bathroom he was like yo I got a friend

  • 2:02:56

of mine who got who wrote a little something that they need somebody to practice some lines with absolutely you think you'd be available for that is he

  • 2:03:03

paying me of course okay of course

  • 2:03:13

ish go ahead you had your hand up the [ __ ] you just had your hand up two

  • 2:03:18

    seconds ago I'm just

  • 2:03:26

oh my God I thought he would have known better you know but it didn't run Stephen thank you for joining us man

  • 2:04:07

please my pleasure man anytime I've called you you've always been there for me it's the least I could do it's true uh double bed in Bristol I hit the road

  • 2:04:14

that's right early morning absolutely dead I came I did absolutely did you came to see Port 2 in New York City you

  • 2:04:20

always been there I'm here Steve why are you posting your first take stats with

  • 2:04:26

skip stats well you know what it's not so much that man it's like

  • 2:04:34

you don't want to like rub it in or whatever I got so much respect for him because obviously my career first day

  • 2:04:40

started because you know he brought me on but you know facts are facts and when

  • 2:04:46

you have not necessarily him but so many people talking [ __ ] and misrepresenting what's going on it's like wait a minute

  • 2:04:54

I thought we were about facts and so it's like this is what we're doing

  • 2:04:59

is what it is and and you know when I sit up there and and I'm not going to

  • 2:05:04

lie to you it's you know sometimes it is a black thing I've been first take you know they were doing fine they were

  • 2:05:11

doing all right when when skip had a potpourri of people coming on the show with them

  • 2:05:17

but ESPN was defined by SportsCenter and SportsCenter was the flagship

  • 2:05:25

skip asked me to come on board I come on board in April of 2012. by may we were

  • 2:05:31

number one and we've been number one since man of 20 uh 2012. and so just think about

  • 2:05:42

it and and I think that you know to answer the question just just straight up and down

  • 2:05:47

you got to remember I started off in newspapers and I'm a columnist and the reason why that was

  • 2:05:53

such a big deal to me is that when you're doing a column that means you have a license to

  • 2:05:58

editorialize and give your opinion if you younger you don't know the history of the newspaper industry before podcast

  • 2:06:06

before.com it was radio television newspaper magazines and most black folks then have a license

  • 2:06:14

to give their opinions you had to work your way up in order to do that and so when I was named the

  • 2:06:21

sports columnist for the Philadelphia Enquirer in in in October I'm sorry in

  • 2:06:26

March of 2003 I was the 21st black in American history to be named the general

  • 2:06:33

Sports columnist which means only 20 people came before me that had a license to give their opinions and so when I'm

  • 2:06:40

saying we understand as black people how difficult it is to get into that

  • 2:06:46

position well I did it and then not only did I did it we transitioned the television and then I'm number one there

  • 2:06:52

and Not only was I number one I've been number one for damn near 12 years and y'all acting like I'm just running my

  • 2:06:59

mouth and I'm not talking about y'all I'm just talking about people in the industry trolls whatever whatever and I'm like nah it ain't going down like

  • 2:07:06

that it's not that's not what happened if you remember I made news about a year year and a half ago ESPN made these

  • 2:07:13

layoffs and it was this white dude from Sports Illustrated that was like why

  • 2:07:18

they they fired all of these people but they kept Stephen A and I was like

  • 2:07:27

but I'm saying I make money it's like like it's not they're not paying me because oh you got numbers well my

  • 2:07:32

numbers generate revenue revenue is what pay for other people and so I'm bringing in

  • 2:07:38

over 200 to 150 to 200 million dollars to the company are you talking about I

  • 2:07:43

should lose my job I I literally everything in my power stop I mean I remember I was on first take one day and

  • 2:07:49

I almost said the word [ __ ] and I and my words are going to be [ __ ] pay attention you in this

  • 2:07:56

business to see what pisses me off is that that man had access to this business he's in the business he knew

  • 2:08:02

the numbers he knew the facts but he wouldn't tell and so my point is when I see folks doing podcasts and stuff like

  • 2:08:09

that I get where cats are coming from if you don't know you don't say if you're doing music if you you you acting and

  • 2:08:15

you're acting whatever the case may be but you're not in that business I'm good with you you don't know what you don't

  • 2:08:20

know there's a lot of stuff about your business I don't know but in this business I do know and I knew that that

  • 2:08:27

writer knew that and I knew that some of the critics knew that so I'm like why the hell ain't y'all saying so so guess

  • 2:08:33

what I'm gonna be that dude that tells the world because at some point somebody gonna get eyes and tipped off to the

  • 2:08:40

fact that you do have that information and you keeping it from the public why

  • 2:08:45

and that's why you hear me and you see me posting the stats or whatever I've been number one you know buy a landslide

  • 2:08:52

for 12 years and counting this is what we've done now I could fall off the

  • 2:08:58

cliff tomorrow but you can't take away what I did for the last 12 years that's a fact that's a

  • 2:09:04

fact I agree now when relationships break up God romantic

  • 2:09:11

relationships I believe there to be like breakup etiquette right like okay certain places that I know you like to

  • 2:09:18

go maybe I won't go over there certain people you know that we was mutual friends hey maybe I won't right be so

  • 2:09:23

maybe I won't speak to them as frequently as I used to right so the stat thing I can understand got it

  • 2:09:30

but the second that Shannon became available and I like that you did this by the way

  • 2:09:36

I like that you but hey I make no corn I would like him over here I like that for the business but for the

  • 2:09:44

skip stuff I was like oh no that that's a jab that that hurts you're gonna go after the co-host so soon

  • 2:09:51

you didn't care I didn't look at it that way got it I would have looked at it that way if Shannon left of his own

  • 2:09:57

volition I'm telling you he did it I'm telling you he was pushed out that's the first that's the first time I've

  • 2:10:03

ever heard that well I'm telling you and it's fact now they can deny it he wouldn't I can promise you that

  • 2:10:09

he was pushed out he didn't want to leave he was notified that your services

  • 2:10:15

would no longer be needed but again that's his story but I'm telling you what I know I'm giving you facts and so

  • 2:10:21

when I saw that it wasn't just that I know the brother's talented it wasn't just that I know he's a three-time Super

  • 2:10:28

Bowl champion in an NFL Hall of Famer it wasn't just that I knew that he had been doing television the last six years I

  • 2:10:35

saw me from the standpoint of I was let go in 2009 and left the dead and they

  • 2:10:41

were writing my Epitaph and they were like Stephen A's careers over he blew it he had the opportunity of a lifetime he

  • 2:10:46

he effed it up and blah blah blah and I was like there was nobody

  • 2:10:52

in the present-day Stephen A Smith position as the guy in sports media as

  • 2:10:59

the executive producer for the number one sports morning show that could speak up for me at that time and I said this

  • 2:11:06

is why I'm here it's my responsibility so you know it's nothing new when you look at swagoo Marcus Spears and you see

  • 2:11:13

his new contract when you see Ryan Clark and all the things that he's doing when you see a Kimberly Martin that was a NFL

  • 2:11:20

reporter and now she's on television when you see a Monica McNutt and also like you know what I've I'm at a point

  • 2:11:27

in time where if I don't want you on first take you ain't coming on first take and if I don't want you on first

  • 2:11:34

taking you ain't coming on first take the likelihood is that you're gonna have a problem getting on television because that's the number one morning showing

  • 2:11:40

that Stephen a feeling you for that show why should we feel you for XYZ show it's just a chain reaction it's not that I

  • 2:11:46

have any sway over those other shows but it's just a natural chain reaction and so I knew the position that I was in

  • 2:11:54

whether he came to First Take a knot it was important that I let the world know

  • 2:12:00

he still wanted because when they let me go I was on the verge of being Blackboard yo I couldn't even get a job

  • 2:12:06

at bet or TV One me it went from me making 1.3 million

  • 2:12:13

having quite frankly from 2005 to 2007 to being on NBA Countdown during that

  • 2:12:19

same period and doing ESPN Radio to waking up one day and from one from four jobs to zero I was unemployed for damn

  • 2:12:27

near 10 months in 2010 nobody would hire me I could barely get an interview and

  • 2:12:33

when something like that happens obviously the belief is you're being

  • 2:12:39

blackballed okay do I have proof of that no my proof was the fact that because

  • 2:12:44

nobody's touching me and so you know when that happened I remembered that

  • 2:12:50

feeling and I remembered how people might have spoken up and say we love Stephen hey blah blah but when I

  • 2:12:56

was unemployed I didn't hear a positive word about me I didn't hear anybody going front and center and saying we

  • 2:13:03

want Stephen A I saw none of that it was quiet and so what I wanted to do was it's a different day and I'm not going

  • 2:13:10

to leave this brother out there hanging out now I'm not willing to bring him on the show and sacrifice Ryan Clark

  • 2:13:16

sacrifice swag gulmarket Spears even mad dog Russo to Dan olowsky's Demeter comes

  • 2:13:22

or Kimberly Martins or anybody else Kendrick Perkins or anybody I'm not willing to sacrifice that but if this

  • 2:13:28

brother is willing to come on board and be a part of that mix and a part of that family welcome to the family I went to

  • 2:13:34

the honchos I said I want them they said Stephen you know we saw XYZ got into argument on the air I said don't worry

  • 2:13:41

about that I said he dealing with folks over there here he would be dealing with

  • 2:13:46

me I'm telling you I got him let him come and they were like all right their co-signer right and that's what happened

  • 2:13:52

and even if you didn't come on your team the fact that you gave him a welcome back he would have got picked up exactly

  • 2:13:58

and that's exactly what my intent was that's my responsibility and that's why you'll see me you know you see you know

  • 2:14:04

listen y'all got a podcast you see uh you know other cats in the industry Club Shay Shay that's Shannon Sharps podcast

  • 2:14:10

you see uh Ryan Clark in the pivot you see a whole bunch of stuff what do you see me doing on the show promoting it

  • 2:14:16

now why would I do that I got my own podcast I'm doing my own thing because I

  • 2:14:21

don't want anybody to fail I want us all to win and I'm gonna make sure that when

  • 2:14:26

people look at me they know that I ain't just some black man I'm a brother and I'm gonna look out as best as I possibly

  • 2:14:33

can that's how I roll it's not going to always be the most popular thing I'm not gonna always make friends that I'm doing this not to say I'm not going to piss

  • 2:14:39

people off because they might disagree or whatever the case may be but when you look at me and you look at my soul at the end of the day I'll put myself up

  • 2:14:45

next to anybody because I know where my heart lies talk what do you say

  • 2:14:51

to the people what do you say to the people

  • 2:14:58

that say they saw the tension between you and

  • 2:15:03

Max are developing on air before his departure from the show did you hear any

  • 2:15:08

of that I heard some of it I would take full responsibility for that that's totally my fault okay and the reason why

  • 2:15:15

it was my fault because I didn't like working with him man it's just that damn simple I didn't like

  • 2:15:21

it I thought the show was stale um I thought that we had flatlined when

  • 2:15:27

it came to the public at large and I'm trying to win I mean I didn't want to go from number

  • 2:15:33

one to number two when skip left that's not what I wasn't having that that [ __ ] was not going to happen did anything in

  • 2:15:39

the numbers say that that you might have been headed that way no but to me it did creatively to me it did not just

  • 2:15:45

creatively but the consistency of the number in other words it wasn't going this way yeah it was just there and and

  • 2:15:53

not only that it's like it's like us being in this room right now come on y'all y'all know the difference between

  • 2:15:59

something that's stale and something you pumped up for it's just no absolutely and so and so that's what I was feeling

  • 2:16:05

and it was like you know listen I had mad respect from him from the standpoint

  • 2:16:11

that white dude highly intelligent ivy league educated from Colombia smart as a

  • 2:16:17

whip can talk his ass off can talk about anything and I get all of that but you

  • 2:16:23

weren't an athlete and you weren't a journalist and the the absence of the two

  • 2:16:30

components left people wondering why should we listen to you

  • 2:16:35

okay well you might have had that figured out on SportsNation or you might have had that figured out on another

  • 2:16:40

show but on this show if you looked at the content emanating

  • 2:16:46

in the social Stratosphere meaning YouTube and other components that you use to measure once cachet uh Q ratings

  • 2:16:53

focus groups all of these different things it was like I was damn near doing the

  • 2:16:58

show by myself because we were Oceans Apart in terms of cachet well how are you Oceans Apart from me if you sit

  • 2:17:05

right across from me five days a week for the whole two hours because one of us is resonating and one of us is not in

  • 2:17:11

that platform and so for me I was like look this is what it is and we had

  • 2:17:19

a number of conversations one-on-one many many times I know this

  • 2:17:25

audience I know what they looking for I know what they need etc etc at some point you're going to do what you need

  • 2:17:31

to do or you don't and if you don't do what you need to do I'm gonna get somebody who will

  • 2:17:36

that's me and I made no qualms about it now I didn't have the authority

  • 2:17:42

to let him go but you have coffee with the person that how about you man how

  • 2:17:48

about that and so and so and so what I did was I've been very honest and very

  • 2:17:53

consistent about it there's nothing personal we didn't have we want enemies everything to be real we ain't spoke

  • 2:18:00

since other than High by you know or if I had to go on the show when they were doing the morning show I would get

  • 2:18:05

interviewed but there's been no conversation since and that's fine with me there's no there's

  • 2:18:11

no problem because it wasn't like we were boys or anything like that but at the end of the day it was all business

  • 2:18:17

to me and it was about look man I'm trying to win and I don't believe I can win with you

  • 2:18:25

that doesn't mean it's your fault it means we don't work so when I went

  • 2:18:31

upstairs to management my exact words were look

  • 2:18:36

if he's that important to you give him first take Stephen

  • 2:18:44

I'm telling you what I said I'm only giving you what I said old school I'm only giving you what I said he was he

  • 2:18:50

went in that office two hours later I got the call we making the change

  • 2:18:56

yeah you just set fire he said redistribute see we got to learn

  • 2:19:02

the corporate way to say some of that [ __ ] no no no but it wasn't a fire because remember well what happened was

  • 2:19:08

ultimately you got your you had the radio show and you had your own afternoon show see where I'll push back

  • 2:19:15

on anybody who talked about the career the firing I'll go back to me in 2009.

  • 2:19:20

Stephen A your services were no longer we're not renewing your deity you're not renewing your deal

  • 2:19:25

um it is not a unilateral decision and just like that the next month when my contract expired first of all they let

  • 2:19:32

me know in April my last day was May 9th of 2009. my

  • 2:19:40

contract was up June 30th they didn't even let me work through the finals yeah we will not be needing your services any

  • 2:19:47

longer and I was unemployed so you got to understand it I'm not going to embrace it the way y'all might or other

  • 2:19:54

people might from the standpoint of losing your job oh I'm getting reassigned and I got not only I'm going

  • 2:20:00

from first take to get my own show in the afternoon and a Morning Show and my money's not compromised right I lost my

  • 2:20:09

job can't get fired yeah he didn't get fired I could have easily been it listen if I didn't have any money saved

  • 2:20:17

I would have literally been on the unemployment line

  • 2:20:22

do you understand that I would have been under unemployment line and that was before this era of podcasts and

  • 2:20:29

independent journalism kind of there you go flip [ __ ] there you go so that's what happened and so when people talk about

  • 2:20:35

well damn this is what happened I'm like y'all don't know [ __ ] let me show you what fire it is let me show you what

  • 2:20:42

that's like you understand you ain't putting me in another position where I didn't look and by the way

  • 2:20:48

I knew and I was assured that exactly what happened for him was going to happen when the move was made because

  • 2:20:55

I'm here to tell you despite the way I felt we were struggling in terms of Sizzle Pizzazz Etc

  • 2:21:02

I would not have insisted on that if I knew it would have left them unemployed I would not have done that because

  • 2:21:08

you've been there before that's right when were there any Rumblings before all of the all of the layoffs were reported

  • 2:21:15

were there right recent the recent ones were were there any Rumblings uh in the

  • 2:21:21

company that that was to come or was just just a shock to the people it was it was it was to come which is why it

  • 2:21:27

pissed me off about with my colleagues first of all we knew it was coming the moment that Bob Iger returned as the head of

  • 2:21:35

and CEO of Walt Disney and a few weeks later it was announced that

  • 2:21:41

7 000 layoffs was coming yes you can't work you got to be a new fool a new kind

  • 2:21:49

of fool to know to not know that ESPN is going to suffer Some Cuts when

  • 2:21:56

it's parent company announces that 7 000 cuts are coming to make up for five and a half billion dollars

  • 2:22:03

covet hits parks close movie theaters clothes ESPN no live sporting events we

  • 2:22:12

took a tremendous loss I gave back 15 of my salary fifty percent of my salary okay because

  • 2:22:19

they come to you asking you is that something you can do you don't you're not forced this by the way yeah what

  • 2:22:25

that's right it's not it's not it's not forced it's voluntarily they came to me I was the first one that said yeah here

  • 2:22:32

you go well what would we see all wait who's coming to me to say that right now if the boss if if you lost one of the

  • 2:22:39

bosses you lost a patreon deal and you came to us and said yo [ __ ] is tight right now would y'all take or consider

  • 2:22:45

and I do it again and I do it again because here's the reason why here's the

  • 2:22:51

reason why if you don't do it then those cats you making millions but

  • 2:22:57

those cats is making 150 200 000 a whole bunch of them gonna lose their jobs now some of them are gonna lose their jobs

  • 2:23:03

anyway but even more you can't be somebody that's just that that's not just a talent but they've

  • 2:23:10

asked you to lead you've or you volunteered to lead you are considered a

  • 2:23:16

leader but then all of a sudden it's just about you sure I want my money I earned it I didn't want to give back a

  • 2:23:22

damn thing but looking at the landscape I knew inevitably what they were going

  • 2:23:27

to ask me to do and I didn't hesitate there was no I think about it I get back to you whatever they said Stephen A you

  • 2:23:34

know this is something that you know we're going to have to ask of our employees at some point I said take mine now here you go that's all right I'll be

  • 2:23:40

    okay

  • 2:23:46

and also you hope that this is going to be remembered once we study the shift

  • 2:23:52

and if you don't do it let me tell you my Petty brain now if you if you don't do it remember yeah

  • 2:24:02

absolutely but that wasn't on my mind that at that time I had agreed to my new deal

  • 2:24:08

um even though the reports ain't right the bottom line is I'm getting paid ain't no question Stephen ain't a blind man you can see that you're getting paid

  • 2:24:14

yeah you've always been a a classy like

  • 2:24:21

well-dressed well put to like you but when when a new contract came [ __ ]

  • 2:24:27

changed a little bit a little bit you start when you start coming in in the morning you thought this is my [ __ ] this is my show it's my [ __ ] right excuse me

  • 2:24:35

Molly pardon me let me hey producer no I'm gonna get to this next Point like it look I like to see that it had to throw

  • 2:24:41

your [ __ ] weight around up there God damn it it had to happen bro because we've just been too through too much I

  • 2:24:49

mean all of us you know I mean you know you doing what you do y'all doing what y'all do me doing what we know what [ __ ]

  • 2:24:54

we've been through and it's not about flexing but it is about letting somebody

  • 2:25:00

know you know this [ __ ] was earned right because they ain't giving me anything and so as a result of that

  • 2:25:08

you want to make sure it's understood and you want to project to the audience

  • 2:25:14

out there don't look at anybody else come right to me it's me you know it's it's like you know I don't care who it

  • 2:25:20

is it's like this is this is this is my [ __ ] and it's my [ __ ] until they say

  • 2:25:26

otherwise because it's really theirs but they left it up to me and they've asked me to take over the platform and I take

  • 2:25:32

that very very seriously but with that comes responsibilities and when they tell you that we hemorrhaging dollars

  • 2:25:38

and you see the the times that we living in at the time covert and all of that stuff and they're

  • 2:25:45

like you know we're trying to prevent ourselves from laying off or even more people

  • 2:25:51

then you got to step up when your dollars are guaranteed and you know you don't have [ __ ] to worry about it's like

  • 2:25:56

okay so all right I'm not gonna make you know nine ten million this this year

  • 2:26:02

instead it's gonna be seven eight or seven I I think I'll be all right you know I think I'll be all right and that

  • 2:26:08

and that's what I mean you can't be with trust me how about that yeah how about that you know when when you were before

  • 2:26:14

this last contract of yours with you being the man up there was the

  • 2:26:20

was there ever really a threat of you leaving like I come in here a lot when you was going through that and try to

  • 2:26:26

figure out how a man in your position can even utilize The Leverage while you're there

  • 2:26:33

here's the hard part for me when it comes to that leverage that people speak

  • 2:26:38

to there are a lot of conversations that your agent has you know and your bosses

  • 2:26:46

have and you don't have access to that conversation I do

  • 2:26:51

it's the executive VP speed dial is the other executive VP

  • 2:26:56

speed dial you know the president you know you go to the game

  • 2:27:02

and you watch the Jets and the bills on Monday Night Football well I was in the suite with them

  • 2:27:08

you know the CEO of Walt Disney the CEO of Walt Disney yo Stephen A I'm coming

  • 2:27:14

to town you free for dinner so when you have and you've been able and fortunate enough to cultivate those conversations

  • 2:27:21

sometimes that's a disadvantage for you but it's better for the whole

  • 2:27:27

because what happens is is that I can have a conversation with him about everybody that's under that umbrella not

  • 2:27:35

necessarily as individual players but looking at what's in the best interest of the corporation okay the business

  • 2:27:41

boom I think this will work for us this will work for us that work for these are our ideas you can't do that when

  • 2:27:46

everything's about you because if you're having those conversations and you're utilizing those personal moments to try to Big up

  • 2:27:53

yourself then it becomes about you and if it becomes about you then it's not in the best interest of the business and if it's not in the best interest of the

  • 2:28:00

business why would I want to talk to you you got heat for that I saw it I saw you say it was on your podcast yeah you said

  • 2:28:06

or somebody's parking when I go to work uh my objective is to think of how to

  • 2:28:12

make my uh boss money and you got heat for saying that I didn't understand it because because it's some ignorant

  • 2:28:17

[ __ ] out there they don't they don't get it they don't get the big picture here's what I my complete sentence in my book straight shooter

  • 2:28:24

I've said it on the air on many occasions I've said it in speeches in a whole bit The Day My Life changed when my mother

  • 2:28:32

got arrested her so held me it held me accountable for what happened when I got fired in 2009 and I had to look at

  • 2:28:38

myself and I had to go about the business of trying to resurrect my career so she had the mirror up oh yes

  • 2:28:44

no she gave me the handheld mirror in the tray and I was like what is this for she's like I'm wondering is there for

  • 2:28:50

when you're ready to look at yourself this is what you did you got to be accountable for the [ __ ] you did you know and that's what she told me she

  • 2:28:55

didn't curse though but that's what she said and when I thought about everything

  • 2:29:00

that I had done wrong I was egotistical I was arrogant

  • 2:29:06

I was selfish but the biggest crime is I was stupid

  • 2:29:11

I did not master my business I thought

  • 2:29:16

I was the man because people screamed my name I thought I was the man because you saw me on TV you saw me on the side of

  • 2:29:22

bus stop so you saw me in commercials my cue scores my folk were focus groups were saying about me the revenue that I

  • 2:29:29

was generating for the company what that materialized into I had no knowledge of

  • 2:29:35

that so when it came time for negotiation they were the ones with all the leverage because they had the Intel

  • 2:29:40

I didn't I had emotion and so when I came with my mom who's been there when I

  • 2:29:45

came with my emotion and it did and it didn't go my way and I reacted

  • 2:29:51

emotionally I got burned and what my mother did ultimately led to me meeting

  • 2:29:56

with the president of ESPN and ABC at the time George Bodenheimer who educated

  • 2:30:01

me about what was being said about me specifically and how it had derailed my

  • 2:30:06

career and when I received that education I went about the business of making sure to make the necessary Corrections so I could be better and so

  • 2:30:14

as a result when you hear me on my podcast especially this Stephen A Smith show you hear me on first take and I'm

  • 2:30:19

trying to break stuff down I'm trying to even say most of the time I'm writing you're wrong what I'm saying is

  • 2:30:24

this is the game I'm helping you to it because I've been in it I've been in

  • 2:30:30

Corporate America for 30 years oh Steven you you know you're a company guy you corporate what [ __ ] right I am I've

  • 2:30:35

been here for 30 years what would you be if you've been here for 30 years this is the game I know me stepping out and

  • 2:30:41

starting my own podcast and owning my own podcast my RSS feed my masters and all of this other stuff owning my own

  • 2:30:47

production company that's new how that's that's now but that wasn't the case for the first damn near 30 years of my

  • 2:30:53

career I didn't know how were you able to do that how are you able to do that there's no way that any of us watching

  • 2:31:00

who sees the role that you have up there would think that ESPN is letting you have your own podcast at all I we were

  • 2:31:06

shocked when uh Shannon got to leave with his right like we didn't understand that right how how do they let you do

  • 2:31:12

that well first of all relationships matter that does matter yeah they want

  • 2:31:17

to protect the business but at some point

  • 2:31:23

in time they have to ask themselves at what cost Stephen A in 2009

  • 2:31:30

ain't Stephen ain't now and if you have to go up against me now you're still the

  • 2:31:36

monolith but some things can happen that you don't want to happen if I go to the

  • 2:31:43

competition what could that be like what kind of detriment can that have on your bottom line not to mention that I've

  • 2:31:48

been entrenched this since 2003 so you talk about somebody that knows where the body lies and where the skeletons are it

  • 2:31:55

would be me you know so and so when you got all of that going on not that I roll like that but the point is

  • 2:32:02

it's a good it's it's a good joke to have so I'm just saying you got to take all of those things into consideration

  • 2:32:08

and then you have to take it to Grant I would always advise people of this pay attention to precedent

  • 2:32:14

precedence important like give you a perfect example we could talk about the modern day example right now

  • 2:32:21

you had a bunch of people that were pissed off that that when we let it laid off these

  • 2:32:28

people at Disney look at the deal that Pat McAfee got how he get all that damn

  • 2:32:33

money you ain't here Stephen they complaining you know why because I understood what happened you

  • 2:32:39

understand I understand the game ESPN did not hire Pat McAfee

  • 2:32:44

they acquired his business he had a deal

  • 2:32:51

FanDuel had paid him 120 million dollars he had his own YouTube channel he had

  • 2:32:57

over 2 million subscribers he was getting this paper from FanDuel

  • 2:33:03

ESPN acquired that business and so they don't view it as an employee

  • 2:33:09

you know he has to pay to put his lights on he has to pay for his producers he

  • 2:33:15

has to pay to produce the content he has to do all of that we cutting you a check to do these kind of things Barbara

  • 2:33:22

Walters years ago the view very popular I'm sure Barbara Walters was a co-owner

  • 2:33:29

of that show oh you better rule she co-owned it why did she call on it because she went to the honchos at

  • 2:33:36

Disney and presented created the idea and presented her creative they liked it

  • 2:33:42

they said we're in so they purchased they would they decided to go in on it

  • 2:33:48

with her I don't know whether it was 40 60 50 50 or whatever but she was a

  • 2:33:53

co-owner so yeah to Disney their Partners but to everybody else on that

  • 2:33:58

show oh you work for her because she owns the content okay so how

  • 2:34:04

do you get that by creating your own content and so when I saw that oh we

  • 2:34:10

open for business yeah because if I could come up with something to create

  • 2:34:15

who knows what the possibilities are and if I don't come up with something to create

  • 2:34:20

then I deserve employee status what I did was go to them and said

  • 2:34:26

here's what I've been doing this is what I want to do

  • 2:34:31

what I'm asking of you requires not a single dime of you out of your pocket it's just the freedom to show you what I

  • 2:34:40

can create so I can come back to you and various others and partner up and create content

  • 2:34:47

and they said you've earned the right for us to see what you got because all I

  • 2:34:54

had to do to get that deal was promised in first look First Look 30 days which I'll gladly

  • 2:35:02

well you don't boom and we good and you and when you

  • 2:35:07

when you spoke on president Pat McAfee is already Pat McAfee that it works there you go well even if it does

  • 2:35:14

we don't know what the work is he just started I'm just saying if he has Aaron Rodgers every Tuesday no matter what

  • 2:35:20

he's doing he could be feeding his kids and he popped and he pop in there to talk I I've been very vocal about that

  • 2:35:26

being like a media cheat code and rap it would be like if I got access to Drake every Tuesday to do my show he's

  • 2:35:34

supposed to get paid but here's what you mean Stephen A Smith and you have the ear and a relationship with damn near

  • 2:35:39

every pop and black athlete in the world I have the same cachet if not more well you got to remember something oh yeah I

  • 2:35:46

don't know what I'm just saying so now but this is the deal Aaron Rodgers

  • 2:35:51

with someone Pat McAfee had before he ever got to you oh yeah you know I know I'm aware so and so because of that

  • 2:35:58

giving props he did that because let me tell you something right now what's our problem if we gonna be real about it

  • 2:36:03

let's be real about it you got a lot of cats in our community that ain't trying

  • 2:36:09

to do that for us true let me see we talk a lot and this is what and this is when we if we gonna have a real

  • 2:36:15

conversation let's have a real conversation that's why I tell them all the time because let me tell you something right now you got a lot of

  • 2:36:20

cats a lot of brothers they ain't trying to look out they ain't trying to look out not even a little bit that's why I

  • 2:36:27

only want to hear [ __ ] from them about what the [ __ ] I'm supposed to do you ain't help me I'm doing this so I'm on

  • 2:36:33

where you at right because for me there is not an athlete like you saw me on

  • 2:36:39

Paul George you're going to see me on Pat Bev and you saw me on Draymond it's whatever listen I covered the sport you

  • 2:36:46

called me the least I could do is be there and you know me well enough to know if if you look out for me you know

  • 2:36:53

me for years you know I'm a lookout that's how I roll but you got some of these cats they don't give a [ __ ] they

  • 2:36:59

making their money they got this social media platform and their attitude is

  • 2:37:05

[ __ ] you we ain't gotta do nothing for you or whatever well damn it I didn't say you needed me

  • 2:37:11

what I said is you can't look out and so we know you can't or we know you

  • 2:37:16

don't want to cool then don't [ __ ] when I do my own thing and I'm making it

  • 2:37:22

happen because you didn't help me and and if and again if we're talking and we talk in sports and all that stuff

  • 2:37:28

personally ain't nobody getting to know personal stuff you don't end up in police blogs okay if you ain't in the

  • 2:37:33

police blotters if you don't tell me your story one of those two things or both of those things is none of my business

  • 2:37:40

look at my history I got nothing to say your business is your business I'm

  • 2:37:45

talking about the sport but you can't don't look for my help when you shoot two for 20. don't look for my help when you drop three passes don't look for my

  • 2:37:52

help when you dropping touchdown passes or you striking out four times at five at bats and I can't help you I cannot do

  • 2:37:59

that but when it comes to what you bring to the table um I'm gonna always be fair I'm gonna

  • 2:38:05

always be fear but that's all I owe you I owe you fan I owe you Finn it's not a damn thing else

  • 2:38:11

all right we got we have sports fights to have sure yeah I'm sure you do I had

  • 2:38:16

a rough I had a rough morning because I'm surrounded by like Cowboys fans it's

  • 2:38:22

my good friend of 20 years who's a Cowboy fan right my condolences somewhere over here another Cowboy fan

  • 2:38:28

we're really excited about this 40 to nothing ass whipping that right the Giants got okay

  • 2:38:35

do you want to speak to that the way you were speaking to me earlier I want to just talk about I know you the um

  • 2:38:41

Anta you [ __ ] the Alamo in your opinion what I'm asking you is Cowboy fans yes

  • 2:38:47

yeah I can't stand y'all asses but I mean it affectionately we know um

  • 2:38:53

objectively yeah if you can do so yes I can where do you feel we stand this year

  • 2:38:58

I think y'all can win it all I'm not going to say you will um there's a black cat running around

  • 2:39:04

somewhere somehow someway and y'all y'all mess it up and y'all

  • 2:39:09

just ain't gonna win um but it's hard for me because like I know Micah Parsons I know Trayvon Dixon

  • 2:39:16

those cats I got a lot of love for those Brothers man and they are Elite and I think that a legitimate argument could

  • 2:39:22

be made to Dallas Cowboys got the best defense in the NFL it's it's the athletes the speed and the fancy and

  • 2:39:30

here's the deal the secondary with Diggs and Gilmore combined with

  • 2:39:38

Lawrence Micah and then you got Micah now as your Edge rusher they ain't gonna

  • 2:39:43

have them dropping back in coverage at least that's what they say the way that they haven't passed in the past

  • 2:39:50

Dallas's defense is a monster but it makes me laugh because all that means is

  • 2:39:56

that there's more pressure on DAC and I can't handle it and that offense look like [ __ ] well listen they did but but

  • 2:40:03

but they were blowing them out they were blowing them out all I'm saying to you is that Dallas in the world of trouble

  • 2:40:08

and and because of that he's got a lot to prove now let me say this y'all can

  • 2:40:14

beat anybody okay you can beat anybody but that's when y'all usually mess up

  • 2:40:20

it's not when it's not when no expectations are low it's when expectations are high that's when the

  • 2:40:26

Dallas Cowboys fold I say that every week I get murdered when I say it yeah and I'm and I'm a Cowboy fan to the day

  • 2:40:32

it's just the truth it's just I say the same exact thing and I get murdered for saying it I just wanted to see because

  • 2:40:37

you've been our one of our biggest uh you know what I'm saying critics yeah yeah [ __ ] y'all I ain't even gonna call

  • 2:40:43

it the [ __ ] out of here like we got to speak nice about y'all cause you sitting here no dog we could be 11 and three and

  • 2:40:49

    he'll be like yo but don't but they ain't [ __ ]

  • 2:40:54

that's not what I do this how about winning this Century right but

  • 2:41:00

    here's what y'all Miss y'all missed that it ain't Stephen A it's y'all I disagree let me explain I

  • 2:41:07

disagree I know what you're about to say anything if it's a one in 15 season we ain't [ __ ] no you don't come and say we

  • 2:41:14

gonna make the playoffs next season you know we're going Super Bowl look here right now that's what you do next year is our year

  • 2:41:20

that's what y'all do so what I'm saying y'all have established the measurement stick not me so I just laugh about it

  • 2:41:27

because I'm going like this all I gotta do is keep reminding them when the season is over you will not be Champions

  • 2:41:32

that's all I have to do in May [ __ ] be sending out Cowboy memes dog it ain't even a season you

  • 2:41:38

know what Pittsburgh fans Cowboys I mean Giants fans [ __ ] fans like your dog

  • 2:41:43

    Commanders

  • 2:41:53

talk to me about the magic was talking about yeah we gotta do something about that at some point he's right because I

  • 2:41:59

told him his name is whack as hell the commanders I mean go back to Washington I like the football go back to the

  • 2:42:05

generals football team too I did I caught them The Commodores

  • 2:42:11

at least three times at least three times man seriously you are documented saying that the gentleman

  • 2:42:19

uh Noah with his uh remarks about Team USA that he's right well I thought he

  • 2:42:24

was wrong initially and then Boris kojo the actor is a friend of mine and he

  • 2:42:30

rolled up on me he was like yo he said he got a point Steven a year a

  • 2:42:35

third of the NBA is from 40 countries and six different continents you talk

  • 2:42:41

about about 120 to 135 NBA players are from these places other than the United

  • 2:42:46

States of America we get that but International competition is when your country

  • 2:42:52

competes against another country and if that's not that is the definition

  • 2:42:57

of it and he said you don't call the Lakers World Champions you don't call the Yankees World Champions you call

  • 2:43:04

them you you're supposed to be calling them Major League Baseball Champions that's what you're supposed to be calling them and I said I get your point

  • 2:43:10

I still don't feel that I'm wrong but I really do understand because originally I thought the position was ignorant considering the amount the multitude of

  • 2:43:17

international players that are on the on in the league but then when they were playing it that when they were making it that way yo it matters because

  • 2:43:25

it matters to those other countries so they'll send their best we don't we

  • 2:43:30

don't and and if we did but if we did what's the result we did I think we

  • 2:43:36

would I think we would but but the but the flip side is what does it say about us that we don't it says that we it says

  • 2:43:43

that we make too much money we're over here building Brands we saw Paul George break his [ __ ] leg in half like a

  • 2:43:49

Twix and we don't want to risk that to go prove that we better than you okay but when are these players supposed to

  • 2:43:55

like have down time and be with their kids well first of all don't use that [ __ ]

  • 2:44:01

takes a month out of the Year stop that [ __ ] Joe stop it you're six months out of the year most most of the league is

  • 2:44:07

off six months out of the year that's the fact that's true that's a fact that's number one but I don't think that's enough time for downtime but it

  • 2:44:13

    ain't really six months [ __ ] like that they do charity [ __ ] I'm

  • 2:44:21

talking about the actor the real action you know you can pace yourself you know in terms of getting yourself prepared but more importantly when uh other

  • 2:44:28

countries send their best and the level of patriotism that they have seems to be

  • 2:44:34

different than ours now we can sit up there and say okay that shouldn't matter to us and that's fine but we got to admit that it don't matter to us we

  • 2:44:40

can't act like it does you know what I'm saying like like it matters to them

  • 2:44:45

because they want to beat us well wait imagine that they want to go back but but okay let me ask you a question

  • 2:44:53

did you see the video did you see the footage of jokic when he won the championship yeah the NBA title yeah did

  • 2:44:59

you see him when he did some [ __ ] in Europe wherever he was and and and and

  • 2:45:05

how he was partying when he won some horse races or whatever you'd have thought they won the championship there yeah sure it's like that matters like he

  • 2:45:13

was completely blase about the NBA Championship but over there whatever it

  • 2:45:18

was that they were doing I don't know what the hell it was it wasn't crickets I can tell you that but I don't know what the hell it was but he was ecstatic

  • 2:45:24

because it matters to them and so what I'm saying is if it matters to them but

  • 2:45:30

it doesn't matter to us why should we be recognized when somebody makes the argument because I I agree with y'all

  • 2:45:36

for the most wanted but when somebody makes the argument that it's just not that important to us then why would

  • 2:45:42

should we be considered world champions if it doesn't matter to us that's what they were saying it's

  • 2:45:48

symmetrical yeah not to them that's true and then we had

  • 2:45:53

an American calling us out for our lack of Interest compared to as

  • 2:46:01

it protects the international competition compared to other nations we can't ignore that that's right he was

  • 2:46:07

right he was right he was right I don't care how many games Rudy Fernandez kicked up out there Evan

  • 2:46:15

Fournier listen I feel you but now LeBron is coming yeah what he done

  • 2:46:21

called his friends now they're coming out we'll check back that's right we'll check back with y'all shortly and the

  • 2:46:26

NBA couldn't be happy I think Kyrie signed up you think are they happy about that ecstatic of course ecstatic when

  • 2:46:32

you want to use the international stage to remind everybody who the hell you are

  • 2:46:37

that is that is a walking free advertising because it's not good when Jaron Jackson and Jalen Brunson and all

  • 2:46:45

these brothers go over there and they lose you don't even come home with a bronze in the FIFA World Cup you know that's not good when we're supposed to

  • 2:46:52

be the ones that that are The Originators and the Protectors of the

  • 2:46:58

game of basketball we ain't supposed to relent and give that [ __ ] somebody else it's like if the United States won the

  • 2:47:03

World Cup people start getting murdered in Europe yeah oh no they would let us

  • 2:47:10

you get what I'm saying though like it just y'all see some wild stuff overseas you see how Wild they get though yeah

  • 2:47:19

and I ask you all the rhetorical somewhat rhetorical question it doesn't have to be about the basketball

  • 2:47:25

seeing these other countries and how they act you think they could get away with load management over there no no no

  • 2:47:31

not at all thank you what is this rule that I've read that the NBA is trying to pass that you can't sit two stars in the

  • 2:47:38

same game well what it is is that I don't know the specificity of it because I'm supposed to be talking about it

  • 2:47:43

because they haven't really finalized it yeah but what happens is is that you got cats and and let's and let's be

  • 2:47:50

honest about this too the person to blame for all of this ain't a brother

  • 2:47:55

the person to blame is great Popovich is the one at fault and I got

  • 2:48:00

mad respect for this man five times you know how great of a coach he is but it started with him I'm going to tell you a

  • 2:48:06

story so the San Antonio Spurs have a game the

  • 2:48:14

night before in Orlando it's a few years ago I forgot which year

  • 2:48:20

it was they finished the game in Orlando the next night

  • 2:48:25

they had a game in Miami LeBron D Wade all of them there this is

  • 2:48:31

when he was there nationally televised TNT

  • 2:48:36

Greg Popovich showed up with the Spurs without Tim Duncan

  • 2:48:42

without Tony Parker and without Manuel Manu Ginobili we all found out literally

  • 2:48:49

in real time while we were on the air because they were spotted standing in a

  • 2:48:55

line for Chick-fil-A inside the Orlando Airport okay all

  • 2:49:01

right and waiting for a flight on Southwest Airlines I'll never get as

  • 2:49:07

long as I live that's crazy and it was like commissioner Stern at the time David Stern went ballistic rest in peace

  • 2:49:13

right rest in peace with ballistic he was right he's right how you doing that because you're selling how you

  • 2:49:20

doing that so not only did they um listen it just depends on the

  • 2:49:26

perspective listen I hate when these when Geniuses have to be ridiculed but we're going to talk about it

  • 2:49:32

David Stern I'm sure at the time is not used to talking to no coach about what

  • 2:49:37

my business bottom line is true right so I thought that was pretty genius as a

  • 2:49:42

coach to say hey if all of y'all if all y'all are worried about is the championship and it's my job to coach then I'm gonna get on the player's side

  • 2:49:50

with some of this rest yes now if y'all gonna come to me okay with the business portion of that and ask me to receive it

  • 2:49:56

right and that's a new conversation with all due respect Joe that's very disingenuous why because I

  • 2:50:05

shouldn't have to talk to somebody about business that's getting paid over 5

  • 2:50:10

million a year at the time to coach the game of basketball clearly that's business the five million dollar check

  • 2:50:15

you cash in annually this [ __ ] business I have my salary out here well wait a minute now part of the job is

  • 2:50:22

making sure to not compromise the bottom line of the brand if people showed up to

  • 2:50:28

the game and you got three stars that you first of all forget for a second

  • 2:50:34

that they didn't play you could have handled that a mirrored away you could have had them you could have set them home on a team charter you

  • 2:50:41

could have sat up there and said they were sick oh yeah you could have did that right I mean to sit up there and have them traveling on Southwest

  • 2:50:48

in a local area in a local airport knowing they gonna get hungry because

  • 2:50:53

you around them all the time and they stand in the line for Chick-fil-A come on bro what you did was you did that on

  • 2:50:59

purpose to bring attention to the fact that you abhorred back to backs you

  • 2:51:05

didn't give a damn what the NBA said and you want to make that statement that's

  • 2:51:10

what you do but where we come from right I'm so used to coaches getting on TV saying this game is over we focused on

  • 2:51:17

the next game the next game the next game right Greg Greg Popovich how I understood it he was so prophetic and

  • 2:51:24

some of these teams I may face and I don't want to give y'all footage of what

  • 2:51:30

we look like fully armed that's not what he said too that's not what he said he said this he said yo and and this is

  • 2:51:36

where it becomes gray yeah we have to keep the product which is the NBA and what we're selling we

  • 2:51:43

packing stadiums out we're selling the product but at the same token if we worried about championships I want my

  • 2:51:49

veteran players and my star players to limit the risk of injury back to back spring and I want them to be as fresh as

  • 2:51:57

possible for the playoffs we know we're gonna make the playoffs so if I got the healthier team in the playoffs then the

  • 2:52:02

probability of me me winning is higher makes sense you've read a lot you know what you're talking about but that ain't

  • 2:52:09

the story as it pertains to Popovich with that incident no that is with that

  • 2:52:14

incident with that incident with that incident he couldn't stand David Stern and the

  • 2:52:21

fact that they would schedule these back-to-backs and he wanted to rebelize

  • 2:52:29

that reason and so I'm not saying he wasn't trying to look out for his players and give them the rest of the less I'm not questioning that I'm just

  • 2:52:36

saying that that disdain for stern and the league scheduling those back-to-backs was motivation behind the

  • 2:52:43

decision as well and I'm saying you don't do that you don't do that true

  • 2:52:48

that's all I'm saying I'm listen I'm so I'm so happy you're up here and I've heard you at this point discussed LeBron

  • 2:52:55

and Jordan so many times that I almost don't want to approach it but I have to

  • 2:53:01

I'm sure you have to I have to I want to advise it but you sure but why wouldn't

  • 2:53:06

you let me tell you this started as a troll for me it did started I'll be honest it started as a troll for me hey

  • 2:53:13

LeBron's going to get the all-time scoring record I thought Kobe would have got it if I had that injury not been

  • 2:53:18

there okay probably uh he would have went for it I could tell you that oh for sure for sure right

  • 2:53:24

so but in my trolling the Jordan fans just act like this conversation wasn't

  • 2:53:29

one to be had so it enraged me a little so now I just argue LeBron and I think I

  • 2:53:36

got a pretty good argument my issue with you is because I don't have any issue with anybody that says Jordan is the

  • 2:53:41

best player in the world I'm not stupid my issue with you because you're on

  • 2:53:47

television I think you have almost have to speak about the game

  • 2:53:52

uh as the game I don't think you could get on TV and

  • 2:53:57

talk about the business of the NBA and how that ran neck and neck

  • 2:54:04

with Jordan's Ascension I don't think you could get on TV and talk about how David Stern's agenda at

  • 2:54:11

the time would mean Michael Jordan has to be the best player in the world for the NBA to grow I never hear y'all talk

  • 2:54:18

about that part I I genuinely don't understand what the hell you just said I really don't I'm completely lost to what

  • 2:54:24

you're saying I disagree with you I don't understand who was who was supposed to be the face of the NBA

  • 2:54:30

if not Michael Jordan when you gotta give me specific gears okay let's talk about it

  • 2:54:35

okay uh Magic and bird got bad backs they went to the Dream Team uh practice

  • 2:54:41

and seen seen this [ __ ] dunking all over the place they knew it was over right yeah uh so we can't we're not

  • 2:54:48

handing it to them Magic's back wasn't bad Isaiah Thomas Joe Dumars the Pistons all of that fighting and clothesline and

  • 2:54:54

[ __ ] we're not passing the league to y'all okay what were the other options

  • 2:55:00

marketing wise okay there were no other options but the reason there were no

  • 2:55:05

other options is because anybody that played in that era would tell you that

  • 2:55:10

could not possibly be another option because Michael Jordan was Head and Shoulders above them all yes now let's break this down Magic Johnson comes in

  • 2:55:18

as a rookie plays center game six NBA finals against Caldwell Jones chocolate thunder Daryl Dawkins in the crew drops

  • 2:55:25

    42. all right 15 wins MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar gotten hurt I saw it on

  • 2:55:30

Wednesday have no fear the magic man is here that

  • 2:55:35

kind of joint whatever fine they also talked about the NBA damn near going out of business right in winning times

  • 2:55:41

again I'm getting ready to go all there because I didn't need winning time for all of this all right so here's the deal

  • 2:55:47

so what happens is that it's on tape delay it's violence it's drug infested

  • 2:55:53

you're a few years removed from Rudy Tom johnovich nearly dying because you know Kerman Washington hit it with the punch

  • 2:55:59

you know whatever you got all of that going on and it was considered a quote-unquote thuggish league that

  • 2:56:05

people didn't want to put on national television and invite into their living rooms that's where magic and bird came

  • 2:56:12

in and they went about the business of assisting Converse ultimately Nike down

  • 2:56:18

the road you know all of that stuff in terms of marketing the NBA product before it would ultimately be put on

  • 2:56:25

National Television no matter how bird great bird was and he was great no matter how great magic was

  • 2:56:32

and he was great let me throw a few names at you bird Havoc hell

  • 2:56:40

Dennis Johnson Gerald Henderson before that all of these cats right Cedric

  • 2:56:46

macros let me not forget my brother cornbread who's still calling games for them and the whole nine so you had that

  • 2:56:52

team they used to have their tussles with Philadelphia because everybody wanted Dr J to win a title it had evaded

  • 2:56:57

him until Moses Malone 454 came along helped deliver that good interrupt the proceedings in 1993 right but remember

  • 2:57:05

Dr J was with the Sixers in 77 when they were up 2-01 Bill Walton had McGinnis in

  • 2:57:12

those boys and Bill Walton with Lionel Hollins and Maurice Lucas one of the enforcers came storming back one fourth

  • 2:57:18

straight Bill Walton established himself as one of the great centers and then bird came along and the title kept

  • 2:57:24

eluding Dr Jack so everybody wanted that but it was Philly and Dot and Boston really initially until magic and bird

  • 2:57:33

got it going then you got magic we talk about Byron Scott we forget our brother Noah

  • 2:57:38

prior to Byron Scott we know about worthy right you know Kareem right you

  • 2:57:44

know Michael Cooper right and then you can add these interchangeable parts to Kurt Rambis to Michael Thompson Bob

  • 2:57:49

McAdoo's of the world all of these cats surrounding all of them so you and then you have blue collar Boston white cold

  • 2:57:57

weather Blue Collar tan all this other [ __ ] you're always showing the train station you know over Boston Garden

  • 2:58:04

congestion and traffic and all of this other stuff right and it's rain and it's snow and you know we just gonna be hard

  • 2:58:10

    and [ __ ] right there

  • 2:58:18

you got purple and gold it always showed the LA forum and and no matter what time

  • 2:58:25

of night it was it always showed the sunshine with the skyline it was like la

  • 2:58:30

la you know what I'm saying and then you saw the Stars coming to Jack sitting Courtside and Eddie Murphy Arsenio Hall

  • 2:58:37

back then and oh you you had those two Dynamics so they sold

  • 2:58:43

the game yes they used magic and bird but they sold the game and they had

  • 2:58:49

other parts and these brothers kept going to the finals where Jordan changed it is that excuse my language this

  • 2:58:57

[ __ ] comes along and it's like oh [ __ ] second year in the league he misses a

  • 2:59:04

whole bunch of games got the foot injury Jerry Crouse trying to tell him trying to mimic the owner from the Philadelphia

  • 2:59:10

Eagles when he told Reggie White like damn they're like we own you you do what we say Debbie Crouch got to tell Jordan

  • 2:59:15

that [ __ ] Jordan would listen came back with just a few games left shows up Boston guarded game two against against

  • 2:59:23

Burnham drops 63. but wait a minute it didn't matter

  • 2:59:29

because when Larry Bird a white Superstar busting black player's ass on

  • 2:59:36

a night and Night Out basis runs across you and says quote

  • 2:59:41

that is God in gym shorts and it's awful

  • 2:59:47

arrogant it's over right it's over and so then Jordan takes it to another level

  • 2:59:53

and instead and think about this couldn't get over the home Isaiah and the Pistons kept standing this way time

  • 2:59:59

after time I know this because Isaiah Thomas keeps reminding me we used to kick his ass we just yeah you can kick

  • 3:00:05

ass all the time they used to beat him him Lambert John Staley does Robin Michael wave Vinnie Johnson Joe Dumas

  • 3:00:11

with him in the back way microwave coming over to Adrian by the way by the way Adrian Daley got it great because he

  • 3:00:17

wasn't getting along wasn't vibing with them they have to trade it up in there or James Edwards coming on

  • 3:00:22

the benches of Reserve or Chuck Daly dead daddy rich as John Sally would call him you had all of this going on and

  • 3:00:28

they kept standing in Jordan's way and when he lost never ever did anybody look at Jordan

  • 3:00:35

and say it was his fault he couldn't beat him but you went like this you

  • 3:00:41

found yourself crying like pipping with the migraine game seven I mean everybody

  • 3:00:47

losing their mind and Michael Jordan on the bus crying when every single time there's something because this brother

  • 3:00:53

averaging 35 one year 33 another 37 another busted everybody's ass no help

  • 3:00:59

when it really really counted and so all of that was going on and he had ascended

  • 3:01:04

to such a point there was no one else that's true there was no one and I'm

  • 3:01:10

telling you what I know there was nobody Stephen okay but then why not

  • 3:01:15

acknowledge that David Stern's agenda with marketing the NBA through the 90s

  • 3:01:22

and adding to the bottom line into the money and making this the biggest product in the world ran hand in hand

  • 3:01:28

with all of this Jordan is the greatest [ __ ] I'm not saying it doesn't hand what I'm asking

  • 3:01:35

what I'm asking is what are you trying to say that because David Stern was choosing to Market Jordan that somehow

  • 3:01:43

that gave Jordan an edge over the players no I'm saying that because David Stern chose to Market Jordan and because

  • 3:01:51

Nike chose to Market Jordan the way that they did with these catchy jingles and like Mike and his commercials and the

  • 3:01:57

sneakers and everything was fire it added to the fans painting Michael Jordan as the best in

  • 3:02:05

the world he cannot be easy easy

  • 3:02:11

argument to dispel with this one fact you are wrong when you say David Stern

  • 3:02:18

chose Nike chose yes they had no choice he was that oh

  • 3:02:27

ain't brush that painted anything what he was doing on a day in and day out basis painted any picture that they

  • 3:02:33

needed Isaiah Thomas Isaiah Thomas speaks to Michael Jordan running in David Stern's office and complaining

  • 3:02:39

about a whistle we all we also have videos of Michael Jordan saying

  • 3:02:44

don't do what we have videos of Michael Jordan saying the refs hey that wasn't a foul and I'm reversing the call okay

  • 3:02:50

fine Joe no problem we do know that those things happen every

  • 3:02:57

superstars in any sport Joe we've seen we got shoes LeBron takes the ball he

  • 3:03:03

pumps the ball they throw it to him he'll take four stairs before he even puts the first dribble there let's stay

  • 3:03:08

here let's let's call him down I want to talk about LeBron because

  • 3:03:13

there's a multitude of stars who get that whistle today I'm in the 90s where it was just Mike okay all right were

  • 3:03:19

there other stars here's what you're missing they got the

  • 3:03:25

whistle it just wasn't against Mike but they got the whistles to help them get

  • 3:03:30

to where they are from time to turn if you I I can't give you a specific incident because I ain't pay attention

  • 3:03:36

to that level because I understand that this happens with every game but the reality is is that

  • 3:03:42

you had let's look at it magic was older now 91 when Jordan won the first title

  • 3:03:48

Clyde Drexler and them in Portland that's the second title third title

  • 3:03:55

Charles Barkley Kevin Johnson Dan Marley

  • 3:04:02

notice the championship right right so that happened right that happened because let me tell you something right now it would have been great for the NBA

  • 3:04:09

if Barclay would have won the title oh that would have been something they could have built off of couldn't happen then you had they were built Sean Kemp

  • 3:04:15

yes uh Skywalker no no Skywalker with the glove Gary Payton you had and they

  • 3:04:21

would have done anything for John Stockton to call him alone to win and let's not and let's not forget the

  • 3:04:27

Eastern Conference Raleigh goes into New York we ain't talking about the players other than you and we talk about the New

  • 3:04:33

York market so you're going to the New York market and Riley tries to emulate bad boys basketball yeah you get Anthony

  • 3:04:40

Mason from John Stockton from a grocery store Oakley you get here from Chicago

  • 3:04:45

you get Anthony Mason from the CBA you got all of this [ __ ] going on

  • 3:04:51

no doubt Xavier McDaniel first remember Nick's first playoff run when him and

  • 3:04:56

Jordan went head with each other face to face getting in each other's face Jordan like f you blah blah blah Xavier

  • 3:05:02

McDaniel wasn't backing down Nick's saying they're coming Indiana on the come up somehow some way no matter what

  • 3:05:09

obstacle you threw in the way of Michael Jordan he knocked him out he overcame he knocked him out and everybody knew and

  • 3:05:16

and as a God has been covering the NBA since 1996. here's what I would tell you

  • 3:05:23

everyone has religiously said to me you feared Jordan you respect

  • 3:05:31

all these other dudes the fear that Jordan would instill in you because he

  • 3:05:37

was the kind of person that like I'm gonna drop 50 on you tonight and he

  • 3:05:43

would do it and then by the way and by the way did he turn around and defensively shut your

  • 3:05:51

ass down I'm telling you what I know and they would go at him like this this dude no no see I don't like telling this

  • 3:05:57

person because because he's married he's happily married and and then and all of this other stuff but Jordan was the kind

  • 3:06:04

of dude man when he was single what do you think that's important

  • 3:06:10

Jordan was the kind of dude that will roll up on you

  • 3:06:16

right and you could have the fondest ass Honeys in

  • 3:06:21

the room don't mean nothing to him until he see the star he about to go against well

  • 3:06:31

and he was the kind of dude that would say something to her that's how you yeah

  • 3:06:36

he's horrible all right just to have you 100 motivated to go at him and did he

  • 3:06:44

would drop 50 on you now see this is the things we know these are the things we know yeah and these are the things I

  • 3:06:50

said nothing happened or anything like that I don't know nothing ain't none of my business but I'm telling you he would

  • 3:06:56

do whatever it took to get the most out of you because he wanted you at your

  • 3:07:03

best competition he wanted you at your best so he could annihilate you and

  • 3:07:09

completely demoralize you from ever thinking you could [ __ ] with him again and that's what they that is Michael

  • 3:07:15

Jordan some people will be up 10 in the fourth quarter he would say that's not enough well y'all have already let me

  • 3:07:22

know that there wasn't even a second option to Market this league because he was heading toes better than everybody

  • 3:07:27

in the world so none of this is shocking you covered the NBA from since 96 since your memory is so good since you want to

  • 3:07:33

tell me about all the NBA rosters in the finals here's a question for you yeah

  • 3:07:39

who in all of those six six championships what opponent is hit up hit a step back three no

  • 3:07:48

step back yeah any of them in any of those I mean hornacek didn't step back when he

  • 3:07:54

hit his three so that doesn't count [Music] up three he didn't step back that didn't

  • 3:07:59

count Barkley had a relatively set of three in a rare occasion he shot a three that didn't count any threes

  • 3:08:06

he wasn't really gone so some of the moves creatively that these kids are

  • 3:08:12

doing at playgrounds that the like they're very creative

  • 3:08:18

I don't know if Jordan is Jordan if you have to face some of these people that actually can do some of this stuff that

  • 3:08:25

is beyond our belief okay well let me throw that we saw what happened when he faced the crossover from Allen let me

  • 3:08:31

ask you damn near fell on his ass we saw what happened when he went up against a white boy with some game Rex Chapman and

  • 3:08:36

his Rex Chapman served him up like Rex if Rex Chapman can serve up Mike Hey Joe don't play what do I think Mike is going

  • 3:08:43

to do never put Rex Chapman and Michael Jordan's name in the same I would never but they played against each other so and and I'm happy to experience

  • 3:08:50

y'all would tell me that Michael Jordan who won all the Defensive Player of the Year Awards never got cooked so if he

  • 3:08:57

got I never said nobody said that Jojo they speak when they speak of Michael

  • 3:09:04

Jordan they speak like he never got everything them [ __ ] was cooking Mike

  • 3:09:09

what the [ __ ] was Mike gonna do against the uh Splash Brothers tell me Klay

  • 3:09:15

Thompson wouldn't get 10 points so stop whenever whenever you'd like me to explain it to you I will oh [ __ ] oh [ __ ]

  • 3:09:23

give it to me okay give it to me a couple of things every damn play has gotten cooked with a

  • 3:09:30

move here or there I would like to remind you that the year that Allen Iverson did that crossover on Jordan

  • 3:09:35

Jordan won the championship that's neither here nor there here's the deal

  • 3:09:41

Jordan when you look at him you look at today's generation of players nobody is

  • 3:09:47

taking anything away from the fact that today's generation of players look better than they've ever been

  • 3:09:53

they're faster they're more athletic um they clearly could shoot better to some degree or at least some of them

  • 3:09:58

rather um all of those things are true but the word adaptation is applicable

  • 3:10:04

Evolution you have to and evolution both you have to be able to look at somebody

  • 3:10:11

and we can look at certain players and we could say they could never be blah blah blah blah

  • 3:10:17

there is no one on this planet that would ever look at Jordan and say that there's no one that would look at him

  • 3:10:22

and say he could never be a three-point shooter there's no one that would look at him and say he could never you know

  • 3:10:29

be a big God and do what Kobe did there's no one ever look at him and say he could never do what LeBron James did

  • 3:10:35

with the no hand checking Rule now and what have you because you can't do the hand checking rule all right first you had the daughter whose rules were made

  • 3:10:41

to negate what Jordan brought to the table why because he was so dominant in isolation that you literally made it

  • 3:10:47

illegal to have two dudes on the same side on a wig offensively in order to deal with it you you had to deal with

  • 3:10:54

him because this brother in isolation would destroy people he'd rip Souls you

  • 3:11:00

understand and these are guys that admitted it they talked about we don't know what he is I love when John Salley

  • 3:11:06

said when they were taping when they were taping the last dance and stuff and they had a line in there he said we had to get him the rule was get him before

  • 3:11:12

he gets Airborne because you know he's not human right because you know he's not here this is what they did absolutely this is

  • 3:11:19

what they did and so now we got to take into account now here's where the whole LeBron thing and I'm just going listen

  • 3:11:26

LeBron to me is top to all time

  • 3:11:32

now if you disagree you disagree where I get annoyed is when somebody's acting

  • 3:11:37

like I'm hating or disrespecting because I got into the NBA start in 1947 1947. okay your the league has existed

  • 3:11:44

    over 75 years Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is 19 time All-Star six-time Champion six-time

  • 3:11:49

MVP all-time leading scorer when he retired the only individual in the history of the sport invented by James a

  • 3:11:57

Naismith who had one patented move that was never duplicated nor ever stopped

  • 3:12:02

that's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and I have LeBron ahead of him

  • 3:12:09

but here's the deal what I said well here's the reasoning okay I'm looking at Jordan a 10-time scoring champion I'm

  • 3:12:15

looking at Jordan a nine time all first team NBA player first team I'm also

  • 3:12:21

looking at a six-time champion six NBA Finals MVPs never allowed one single

  • 3:12:27

championship series to get to a game seven not only do I have that to break

  • 3:12:32

up to bring up Michael Jordan but also but also First Team all defense I already said it nine times all right you

  • 3:12:39

got all of this that five-time League MVP all of this other stuff is going on

  • 3:12:45

he never choked in an NBA finals and it never happened it hold on it never

  • 3:12:52

happened I don't like bringing that but got there when he wasn't expecting wait a minute Jordan if he didn't retire and

  • 3:12:57

remember we keep acting like he retired at baseball no he retired after his father died his father died

  • 3:13:04

and he wanted to leave the game I don't believe it okay I'm just telling you well just you know this dude

  • 3:13:12

you know I mean I know him and his father died the bottom line is this

  • 3:13:17

here's the deal he left the game Olajuwon Ori

  • 3:13:24

Kenny Smith Otis Thorpe Sam Cassell they be in

  • 3:13:30

Jordan Mario and Pippin in them in the finals back to back in Jordan would have won eight straight hit one eight

  • 3:13:35

straight I don't know that I believe okay

  • 3:13:44

if he talked about when you asked him they believed that they would have yeah yeah okay and I think and Kenny fairness

  • 3:13:50

to You Kenny Smith did tell me that and I told him he needed to get drug tested that's my brother right there we're very

  • 3:13:57

tight but my point to you is that that's the situation and so what I'm saying to you is this you might have a point Joe

  • 3:14:03

if Jordan won from 91 through 98

  • 3:14:09

and then on the last two years it was Houston but there was a two season Gap

  • 3:14:16

where he didn't look he didn't win because the first retirement and the second he came back out of retirement

  • 3:14:21

with only 17 games left and then Nick Anderson got the best of him when he was Rusty and then he destroyed them and get swept on the next year no he's just

  • 3:14:28

stripped the ball but the point is is that you had that two-year Gap that two years was Jordan's

  • 3:14:35

Prime true those two years that Houston won with Jordan it wasn't at the tail

  • 3:14:41

end of his career so if you could if you could win three straight miss it two

  • 3:14:46

years and then come back and win three straight why couldn't he win two straight in the middle

  • 3:14:51

now if you said he can't win it on the back end I get you but why not in the middle when that was his prime I don't

  • 3:14:57

know that they could have beat that Rockets team as a Nick fan I watched that rocket team closely and I just don't know

  • 3:15:03

but the larger one was in his prime intentionally could have been exhausted for winning Hey listen my thing is

  • 3:15:12

LeBron has gotten there in years where he was never supposed to get there and I

  • 3:15:18

hear you talk about his final losses his finals losses often but I think that matters number one I don't blame him for

  • 3:15:25

losing the first one in San Antonio that wasn't his force of Miracle he got the finals he made me get mad respect for

  • 3:15:30

that and the last time they lost to San Antonio I don't blame him for that because D Wade was hurt and you needed D

  • 3:15:37

Wade and D Wade's knees was shot I don't blame LeBron for that so those are two finals losses that I don't blame him for

  • 3:15:43

I certainly don't blame him for two of the losses against Kevin Durant because golden state was loaded and my God KD

  • 3:15:49

with clay and Steph oh my Lord have mercy no I don't blame him for that but

  • 3:15:54

I will blame him for this oh Dallas that's when you bro Dallas is on you that's number one that's a fact number

  • 3:16:01

one number two excuse me you know I have to look at you

  • 3:16:08

when I know you're going against Kevin Durant and I understand that I really really do

  • 3:16:14

but you cannot be given a damn concession speech

  • 3:16:20

after game seven of the Conference Finals you beat Boston you're ecstatic you've done it again LeBron you're going

  • 3:16:26

to another finals abroad you know congratulations man my guys and we did it and having a ball smiling ecstatic

  • 3:16:34

blah blah now what's up next is KD and and Stefan number wave you oh I

  • 3:16:42

want to think about that you that you know I just I just want to enjoy this and I don't need that stress in my life I don't need that stress in my life blah

  • 3:16:49

blah blah now credit to him that was that very next game that first game game

  • 3:16:54

one is when he dropped 51 and Jr forgot the clock so so we understand that but

  • 3:16:59

what I'm saying to you is that when you look and what he has had available I still

  • 3:17:05

and certainly I don't blame him when he only had was Matthew dellavedova because Kyrie and Kevin Love I don't blame him for that either so I understand it but

  • 3:17:10

what I'm saying to you is that you can't get and this is the biggest Point y'all

  • 3:17:16

when I bring up the choke four straight games

  • 3:17:21

he was being guarded in the post by Jason Terry

  • 3:17:27

I want you to think about that for a second he was so scared he was so scared and I brought this up recently because I

  • 3:17:33

knew I was going to meet you I was going to see you and I was damn it all the birthday with me the following year now this is the first

  • 3:17:40

year he won the title when they beat Oklahoma City go back to that All-Star

  • 3:17:45

Game when they had lost to Dallas he he comes back for the next season his second year

  • 3:17:52

in Miami they had all-star weekend it's an exhibition you're having fun the fans

  • 3:17:59

are there whatever the game is coming down to the wire Kobe clapping oh no no

  • 3:18:05

that's not it Kobe claps his hands press his arm I'm guarding you I'm guarding you here we are

  • 3:18:11

and LeBron turns the ball because he tries to make a corner pass to Carmelo

  • 3:18:16

forget the pass for a second mellow D Wade

  • 3:18:22

Kobe all descend upon LeBron what's wrong with you what you doing because it

  • 3:18:29

was evidence that he was psyched out because he was it wasn't there was never

  • 3:18:34

any questions about his abilities mentally he didn't have that confidence and so his whole commitment was to doing

  • 3:18:41

it the right way because it was the only thing he was confident in he wasn't confident in his free throw shooting he

  • 3:18:47

wasn't confident in his perimeter shooting he wasn't confident in having that Killer Instincts that people thought he had it because he dropped 25

  • 3:18:52

straight against Detroit but it didn't stop there he had other moments where it wasn't there what I'm saying to y'all is

  • 3:18:59

this that was never Jordan he had a dog ever never Kobe ever and that is what

  • 3:19:08

separates if you want to tell me that LeBron is eclipses Jordan I would say to

  • 3:19:13

you give me 2012. to now you got an argument we can have that

  • 3:19:19

discussion I don't believe it but we had that discussion but when you take into account those formative years

  • 3:19:26

where you had to go and join D Wade when you had to have a press conference for

  • 3:19:31

the entire season and you can't even sit by yourself to answer questions because

  • 3:19:37

D Wade your big brother has to sit next to you because your confidence is that shot he wasn't feeling safe when you

  • 3:19:43

have that going on there we go when you have that going on when you have that going on that was never Jordan ever and

  • 3:19:53

that right there is the key to the difference between Jordan and LeBron

  • 3:19:58

Jordan was Jordan LeBron had to learn to

  • 3:20:03

become jordanesque Kobe didn't have to learn it LeBron didn't have I mean um

  • 3:20:08

Jordan have to learn it the only reason why Kobe doesn't get the nod over Jordan is number one he's number two at the

  • 3:20:14

same position that Jordan played and number two he had Shaq for the first three championships otherwise we'd be

  • 3:20:20

talking about how Kobe should be ahead of LeBron that is why I have LeBron

  • 3:20:25

number two I don't give a [ __ ] what anybody says it is a fact bro that is

  • 3:20:30

reality Michael Jordan played 10 years barring the two years that he got the serious injuries right he played two

  • 3:20:36

years where he played like 17 games 12 games some [ __ ] like that one year he only played 60 games if you count up all

  • 3:20:43

the other years he played he missed like 15 games dog in like 10 82 82 81 80. he

  • 3:20:50

don't miss games he played every night and the rules were tougher the game was considerably more physical

  • 3:20:56

and all of those things were applicable to what trends true that's my argument

  • 3:21:06

the great my last question to you the real quick the greatest championship NBA

  • 3:21:12

championship you've ever seen in your life was which which one greatest NBA champion yeah like the run like like a

  • 3:21:18

lot of people say that LeBron uh coming back from 3-1 against golden state is I was probably one of the greatest runs

  • 3:21:24

I've seen you know for me I'm old school where Ray Allen shot for me when Boston was big but when Boston beat

  • 3:21:31

LA and seven when magic turned the ball over like three times Dennis Johnson

  • 3:21:37

stripped him twice and they were calling them tragic that was one of the greatest final series I've ever I've ever seen

  • 3:21:42

got it my last question how many games do the Jets win after the Sam Rogers or debacle 67.

  • 3:21:49

they got the sick stuff of schedule in the NBA in the NFL I'm sorry this season but that's about it

  • 3:21:55

ladies and gentlemen hello ladies and gentlemen I don't give a girl Melissa to ask me no questions she's been sitting here the whole time she can say one word

  • 3:22:00

the whole interview I mean you only known me for uh two decades for crying I love what's going on oh yeah why you

  • 3:22:06

just lean back come on cause that's a whole you know you know Stephen is hold on come on it's a whole interview oh wow

  • 3:22:12

wow the [ __ ] be coming up here they excuse me they know you and you letting your

  • 3:22:18

[ __ ] hang salute Melissa I'm hating I'm about to ask you listen yeah

  • 3:22:23

no no no no no no not like that but but Melissa you know what it is Melissa has

  • 3:22:30

has been around so long and so many people have so much respect for her and she doubt that down around us she does

  • 3:22:37

like her brothers so when the guests come she just kind of lets her Ambiance she showed who the real one is

  • 3:22:49

looking good I'm hating now see she's always been cool with me and she's always been good to me we've been

  • 3:22:54

friends for years it's good to see you it's been a while me too and you're and you are so exquisitely loquacious that

  • 3:23:01

    it's really shut up

  • 3:23:07

ladies and gentlemen Stephen A Smith

  • 3:23:13

    [Applause]

  • 3:23:19

it's that damn laugh Stephen A Smith

  • 3:23:25

Legend no he's the man I was distracted because [ __ ] just smelled like money

  • 3:23:31

you see that soup yes it was the shoes it was all that was a nice little weight

  • 3:23:38

loss when [ __ ] get a certain amount of money they stay and [ __ ] probably start getting healthy stay in shape [ __ ] get the the treadmill on incline 17. they

  • 3:23:47

could be happy [ __ ] like this no [ __ ] no not only did he look I let him live yeah man I let them live a

  • 3:23:52

little bit he's too passionate he's too passionate about sports

  • 3:23:59

you can memorize the roster from the Sixers and 74 and yeah you got it though

  • 3:24:06

you got a big dog I just said I thought this hey yeah you

  • 3:24:14

invested I see why you got the money yeah hey you know your [ __ ] too oh yeah

  • 3:24:20

you got it I meant to ask him about the ESPN Deportes clip but anyway he was spitting too much knowledge I ain't want

  • 3:24:26

to be silly in the moment it's not that was a real good thing talking about uh the business yeah he cleared up a bunch

  • 3:24:32

of that [ __ ] because a lot of [ __ ] even us be talking from outside the lines and don't know what we'd be

  • 3:24:37

talking about sometimes and he just clarified that [ __ ] like quick yep yo can I make a request to y'all live on it

  • 3:24:44

y'all never heard it before hey you YouTubers get ready to clip it up go to their faces they like when I just pop up

  • 3:24:51

can I make a request I know that me myself flip ish ice and

  • 3:24:59

Parks like we kind of haven't understood like to stop dog pounding on male but I

  • 3:25:05

want to bring that back I know we had like a little rough month

  • 3:25:12

left last month the second we stopped dog pounding y'all should get crazy

  • 3:25:18

can we bring dog pound back like just for a couple episodes

  • 3:25:28

I figured it out I figured it out but if no I can't do it by myself no

  • 3:25:34

    egging me

  • 3:25:42

sometimes gotta remind [ __ ] hey I'm her and I've been here for a long time

  • 3:25:49

there's only I want to offer some pushback to that go ahead too much what the her being her

  • 3:25:57

    oh [ __ ] Saloon [Laughter]

  • 3:26:03

    [ __ ] video mixing [ __ ] right

  • 3:26:09

it's on patreon [Laughter] where you want to separate now you want

  • 3:26:15

to separate Patriot off in the real episode Matt this is my problem with Mel being her

  • 3:26:21

and I have no problem with her being her but if you hurt just be her be braggadocious about it no

  • 3:26:28

but just be heard like I believe that you are hurt why not just be her you do that at all

  • 3:26:34

times you dumb it down a lot you you dumb it down a lot and you do and you do it on purpose and then like you said

  • 3:26:40

now you'd be so shocked when we be cracking on you because it's like oh my God it's like having Brothers it's like

  • 3:26:45

yeah this is what it's like being around like [ __ ] that ain't trying to so you become but when the guests come

  • 3:26:53

you turn into it's like uh Jam truly outrageous truly truly truly

  • 3:27:01

outrageous are you turn in the gym I would

  • 3:27:08

if your brothers we don't like seeing that transformation in real time when you kick your little thigh up when the

  • 3:27:15

hair goes back shoulders go up yeah when you start sitting away you were sitting away and you're like oh we've known this

  • 3:27:21

other man yeah why do you want to do it [ __ ] I legit did not do I didn't do

  • 3:27:26

    anything bring back Dog Palace

  • 3:27:33

[ __ ] I didn't do nothing you didn't have to say nothing because in your mind you already knew what it was

  • 3:27:39

I'm really here so Melissa Borger asked me a question and he's still muting oh no no no no I was flying

  • 3:27:47

another time you show like you you're gonna stop misusing this platform when guests come up here no see now look we

  • 3:27:53

have talked a lot about Stephen A Smith coming up to this platform a lot we discussed him on this platform a lot so

  • 3:28:00

when we finally get him here my instinct well we've been saying this about people that are not Stephen A

  • 3:28:06

well I'm just talk I'm talking about him I'm talking about him my I was just like let's give him a wide birth because he

  • 3:28:13

does not have it yeah enough of your vocabulary

  • 3:28:22

I was just giving him the entire Runway that's it just get just yeah

  • 3:28:28

and then he said he stopped the whole [ __ ] before he left technology and then you've got the solo pictures

  • 3:28:42

that's what you got you're welcome that's what I got bring back the doorbells

  • 3:28:53

let me ask you this lastly okay as men that view you as our sister

  • 3:29:00

how do you think we should respond when we're with our sister not you but like a

  • 3:29:06

sister and like [ __ ] is looking at our sister like she's a snack like she's Coretta Scott

  • 3:29:14

we're trying to read some lines Petronas y'all got a good one coming on Friday I

  • 3:29:19

know y'all don't believe me no more but it's fine it's fine um exactly how you all act

  • 3:29:24

that's exactly because I want to be way more immature than I am when I see it happening

  • 3:29:30

okay well let's put it to the test well we can act as much as we want yeah

  • 3:29:36

next time yeah no Steve with Stephen AZ I gotta act mature but the next guest you do that [ __ ] around I'm dog pound

  • 3:29:42

all right well I can't even do it by myself but no no no she gave us she gave the green light so I want to hear

  • 3:29:47

  • 3:30:14

then she said that why not say that I did not say that I said that I was the

  • 3:30:20

  • 3:30:27

what the context was but it doesn't matter you still said it it was applicable your accountability partner

  • 3:30:35

  • 3:30:58

it's too late they get money now I'm here in the other the other uh critiquers [ __ ] I like it you know

  • 3:31:05

I've seen such and such [ __ ] and he really put me go ahead get you know build some more [ __ ] up

  • 3:31:11

we had a conversation about not bullet building [ __ ] up and I agree Pod Wars I like the [ __ ] silence out there

  • 3:31:19

they have to be mature with our guests coming but now that he's gone I can get back to me
