this is not a corporate structure this

is this is a show this is a a production

that is dependent on us being here and

US communicating with each other in the

way that the audience expects it facts

now what we also are we're all

professionals yes and we do well

whenever somebody is not here we adjust

however nobody's been given a memo that

either one of those two is not coming so

they're just not here at the start time

and that's have to so now you work with

the people that came to work that's it

actually watched the entire telecast the

entire way through so it was a really

good production it was I watched the

pre-telecast the whole way through on

the stream and then turned to television

I do want to say they should do a better

job at advertising the pre-telecast cuz

that's a lot of the awards that we

actually care about for sure and there's

moments that happen in that too that are

noteworthy of being watched like I do I

do like this year well I don't know if

they've done it before but I saw it this

year they had if you scan the QR code it

put like the run a show up there so you

were able to see who's um who's

presenting and what awards they're going

to present and what uh performances

there were in order so you could like

check in like all right this is

happening I know what I want to see is a

little bit later the Opera section I can

go do something else once I once I saw

Jimmy Jan walked out there all right

here we go this is what I need to see

right so this is where I was watching

the [ __ ] pre-show on

E Yeah I was watching the regular red

carpet that's what I was watching first

cuz that's like all I could find like

advertised or whatever people posted

that I was like okay I guess I'll watch

this and then I went to the website and

I was like let me see if it's on YouTube

buried somewhere and it was on there oh

straight on the stream I'm just saying

they should they should make that a

was great so but but um Chris Brown

deserved it Des I think he deserved the

award before that he was nominated for

best R&B performance for residuals which

is that's the one that you were that's

the one yeah I didn't even think he had

a chance honestly for a R&B album I

didn't think they would do that I

residuals is a is a smash record though

mhm it's heavy radio play like the song

is everywhere yeah so I just knew he

would win the award for that one if the

Grammys are at the point where they're

trying to change things now they seem to

be but money long ended up winning for

the BET live version of her record so I

was like uh that's interesting it was

very interesting to me but the very she

did smoke that performance she did she

did really good I just didn't know that

live performances were eligible for

individual Awards in this manner is it a

new category no it no iess

performance it was released so M but it

was after the fact I don't know

whatever she's released multiple live

versions of that song so there's the BET

version and then there's another version

she's done so yeah this one was uh

Grammy eligible and one and

congratulations to her for she's amazing

so um but then they did the R&B album

and he beat out Lucky Day Usher Lela

Hathaway like he beat out some some

names MH MH I stood up I was cheering in

the crib I went got me a bottle I felt

like Chris Brown fan like that or you

just thought he you Pop Some Mo oh yeah

no he no yes I don't play We Love bre I

don't play wow yeah I don't play same

but ice probably has me beat yeah I I I

like him I just you know

abely appreciate his talent if it wasn't

for that relax if it wasn't for that

very dark Grammy night ages ago we would

be singing a different story about Chris

Brown who he is I would like to see

Chris Brown at the Grammys at some point

yeah they need they could used them this

year but for that Michael

fusing uh yeah that was the question

that she was she was in but I'm just

saying in the clip you asking baby face

this dog like [ __ ] I'm the reason for

this he's architect yeah he wrote Wai

their the question they were out of

their they were out of their depth but

so it was two girls the one that was

actually POS the question when she heard

her counterpart calling for Chapel she

was she elbowed her and looked

completely mortified so like they're

both being crucified but it really was

like the idiot with the gray dress on he

was like oh my God Chapel yeah it was

just crazy you're not face and you just

talked about that you did literally just

talked about how said that how they do

that in the red carpet because those red

carpets get a little tricky if and if

you've ever been on one both as an

artist and as reporter it's a lot going

on it is a lot going on so I want to

extend that Grace to these two uh music

deaf white people that did this

interview and the AP I thought this was

totally disrespectful extremely but but

par the course for what happens on on a

red carpet uh but to interrupt baby face

uh 12 time Grammy Award winning

recording artist songwriter producer

over 800 million records sold produce

[ __ ] we all got to run baby face re

up here we maybe do yeah maybe we do we

maybe do maybe some people don't

know we old yeah I just say 125 top 10

hits 45 number one R&B hits 16 number

one pop hits like baby face is baby face

and I am put some I am putting some of

this onus on him I am what do you mean

you don't talk [ __ ] cuz stop don't talk

them why you talking to them now I put

it on all of us cuz if they invited me

to the Grammy red carpet to talk to the

people that are legends that music

people know are legends I wouldn't go

like I wouldn't do it and the Grammys

are not inviting people that know about

music really on the red carpet to speak

to these people and baby face want to

get in front of the camera or the micro

microphone of platforms that he may not

typically be in front of but he

shouldn't be talking to them but you

baby face at all times you baby face but

he's also extremely gracious and we

really saw that when that whole cruffle

was going on between him and Anita Baker

when she was on tour so he's just known

to be a very gracious man that's number

one and number two this Grammys was

particularly important just because of

what happened in La the Wildfire so they

really that was front and center you

know donations to everybody that had

lost in the in the Wildfire so la what

do they have to do with Babyface talking

to AP and these two white people don't

know who meaning you asked why he was

even there and no no no no not why he

was there

why are you there speaking to

these yeah and my Counterpoint to number

one wait what was number one again say

it again is that he's a very gracious

man okay I think that that's

performative okay that's performative if

you watch Baby Face versus Teddy Riley

you know who baby face is how he feels

about himself his catalog his

discography and you peons out there all

of that being nice [ __ ] is humble artist

like Baby Face is slick with it behind

an extraordinarily respectable media

outlet that is why he would have stopped

would have these two girls aren't just

that is a very respectable long running

media Outlet so that is so that's why he

would have stop to talk and it's also

you already know how red carpets are

it's a row so he was probably making his

way down the row you can look at the

things on the floor to see who everybody

is you're like I can skip that you know

have a publicist kind of shoeing you

along oh baby face we got Associated

Press over here and you kind of get

maneuvered along that's how it happens

so that's probably how he ended up there

but also oh it's okay it's Associated

Press this makes sense for me to stop

and talk to you I'm saying that he

shouldn't have okay I'm saying he

shouldn't have okay you saying he

shouldn't have done the red car at all

is there anybody he was you think he

should stop

for maybe I just don't feel like baby

face should ever appear to be on the new

act

stroll there's really no need for baby

face to be talking to AP right now so

have he should have stopped and talked

to anybody on the red carpet just if

Rolling Stone is on the carpet maybe do

that but not if they sent

sitting with mispronounce your

name that's that's what it is the

equivalent you wouldn't know that that

person is going to mispronounce your

name until they do it one two if it's

just Mom and Pop publication you're not

going at all because it's rolling stone

what you're saying because it's AP all

realize this is a doof and don't know

that which is a problem too cuz AP has

music reporters AP has a department they

one of the few news organizations that

didn't shrink the way everybody else did

they just chose the cheap they went on

the cheap they got these young young

white girls who were Fanning out over

chap

had professionalism at and worked a lot

not a lot worked a decent amount of red

carpets as an interviewer and sometimes

you do get stuck with the not stuck you

get the person who you like and then you

see out of the corner of your eye this

person who you will get a raise if you

get or the person you keep your job and

for them chaperone is that person and

baby face is not but what you do is you

phase out the interview you change the

question you pivot or you cut them short

in a way that doesn't look like you cut

them short they this white girl was

ducking yeah she like and maneuvering

while baby face is talking looking all

doofy in the face this girl she was the

one doing the interview she could have

very easily went over and tried to

recruit that's what should done and then

to just scream out chapel chapel that

was the talk like I think number one is

Cap I I don't think Beyonce is talking

to nobody that's going to call her a

different name or that's going to not

know her projects or that's going to not

know what she's been up to she wouldn't

know you wouldn't know man baby face is

is doing a sit down interview with

rolling stone she knows who that

interviewer is before they even yeah

there's a lot of checks and balances

that will happen during that time this

is a red carpet it's to you know that sh

happened to glorilla that sh happen to a

new act that should not happen to baby

fix the crazi [ __ ] is half people

exactly because of how young they were

and what a lot of these Publications are

doing they're sending out you know

people they're sending out kids

basically who might have like a a strong

presence online because of their blogs

and stuff like that but they're not

journalists they're not music

journalists and they don't have like you

know an eny encyclopedia kind of memory

or knowledge about who everybody is on

they might heard your name exactly but

they're not going to understand the

power of baby like you just said when

you were running down his

accomplishments you just said we're old
