  • 0:51

this podcast later episode number 85 I'm your host jump off Joe Bey across from

  • 0:57

me is Michael roor Rory Lane uh Lanes to my right is Maul yeah we are in the

  • 1:03

building I like to welcome Maul back Maul was absent uh last week like this is a class absent right right uh mul was

  • 1:10

celebrating a birthday uh which is [ __ ] up cuz Rory and myself we really

  • 1:16

wanted to talk to you about Brandon Jennings last week yeah we were we were thoroughly happy with his performance M

  • 1:22

gonna get tired of me hitting him because every single Maul we have this relationship where Maul knows I'm a

  • 1:29

Nicks fan Maul has never had a reason to be invested into the Knicks this is so

  • 1:34

true so we we just never really kick it mul a leaker fan we talk about basketball we don't talk about my team

  • 1:40

but with Brandon on the Knicks every single time he touches the ball I'm texting Mo with passionate Nick rants

  • 1:47

honestly well I hit you when we and I hit all a chame I hit you and I said listen man Derrick Rose whatever happens

  • 1:53

to that case I'm cool Brandon was bowling damn look at y'all [ __ ] ready to get D rose out of here I text Maul

  • 2:00

and and what did I what did I say I said yeah let's let's let's keep D Rose where at man I'm about to testify in the

  • 2:07

case my God that's crazy Jesus Christ but they look good though yeah we need

  • 2:13

to get Brandon on the podcast at some point yeah I'm sure he come watching the their preseason games I'm going lower my

  • 2:18

what I thought my win total was for the Knicks I'm going lower it to probably 43 I'm I'm still at 46 stay at 43 wins down

  • 2:27

from 47 I think they going to get 50 wins all right but the Knicks didn't do [ __ ] but

  • 2:33

lose a [ __ ] game so I'm not starting my podcast with them how how's everybody's weekend Ben good man you

  • 2:39

know getting over this little congestion but I'm good you sound a little you sound a little off yeah it's this

  • 2:46

weather it's [ __ ] 80° out today yeah Mother Nature is all over the place yeah typical woman the world is going to

  • 2:53

end typical woman typical woman that damn mother nature mother nature might be from Dyan now that I think about it

  • 2:59

yeah dead ass mother nature might be from Dy man I was upset that my pool was closed today I walked out the house at

  • 3:06

7:00 in the morning and text in immediately like yo fam come downstairs were you doing press or you were just

  • 3:11

leaving your house at 7: a.m. no every morning when I wake up I make coffee and I go outside and I look in the sky and I

  • 3:18

thank God for blessing me with another day that's cute uh how's Pressman going have you been nicer to people

  • 3:25

um I think so and in in this latter portion of the roll out

  • 3:30

I mean if there's a such thing as a roll out I've been getting pretty informed interviewers uh savvy interviewers so is

  • 3:38

really not a need for me to be a a dick at all but you know what after our conversation like I was telling you

  • 3:43

before the podcast after our conversation on the last podcast where you made me step back and take a look at my Behavior Uh I said to myself you know

  • 3:51

I don't need to behave that way if I'm if I'm well-versed in radio which I am because I have a background in radio now

  • 3:57

all of a sudden and someone is carrying on a porous interview then it's mature

  • 4:03

of me to help and not hurt it because it's only hurting cuz now the headline is about

  • 4:09

you walking out and treating them like [ __ ] it's not about your album yeah but you know my brain is offw so I don't really be thinking that I am treating

  • 4:15

these people like [ __ ] it's like a relationship you have to compromise Joe but you know what funny I saw I saw an

  • 4:21

interview you did you did with Jack uh Thriller that's what we're talking about that [ __ ] was so funny cuz you was like I never said that I never did that and

  • 4:28

then he was going back to when you said it and did that was one of the funniest interviews ever to me cuz I was like I'm

  • 4:33

so glad he put this out on Joe cuz Joe was sweat up and down he never said this he never did that he like Joe I did

  • 4:40

interview you you like you did not do an interview with me and then the [ __ ] Jack look at the camera like what and

  • 4:46

then rewind to the clip when he did the interview like cute little post editing

  • 4:51

that he did cute move there Jack Thriller yeah that was dope so now here we are I find myself enthralled in yet

  • 4:57

another podcast beef and and we are going to discuss podcast Wars the same

  • 5:02

way we discussed streaming Wars because quiet is kept there's a lot of moving and shaking going around yet again that

  • 5:08

I don't think people are really paying attention to and when some of these things happen on podcast uh my the my

  • 5:16

brain and just my higher frequency of thinking tell you know kind of tells me

  • 5:21

why things are being done when they're being done so it wouldn't be beef unless you threw yourself in it so let's have

  • 5:27

some well let's have a little bit of podcast beef here here we are at some point or another I would like to say

  • 5:34

there were two times where I mentioned Envy in a way that could be deemed as negative on this podcast one is when

  • 5:41

Envy DJ Envy for those of you who don't know who I'm referring to uh one was when he was on the radio saying he

  • 5:47

supported stopping Frisk that was on a Tuesday he or Monday or a Tuesday that that happened I

  • 5:54

tweeted I said DJ Envy support stopping Frisk dot dot dot interesting and the

  • 6:00

other is on this podcast when we were talking about the success of the breakfast show and whether Envy is at a

  • 6:06

mic or not that and the Styles P freestyle you did where he retweeted it and said Styles went off oh yeah that

  • 6:12

was real minor that was real minor I don't think I don't think he's going on a rant about that but all right so here

  • 6:18

was brought up so to my knowledge and I mean if I'm incorrect I thought the fans would have let me know and they didn't

  • 6:23

uh that's all that was said about Envy so I'm minding my business on throughout the course of my day nory's podcast

  • 6:30

nory's podcast envy and Angela ye are there I immediately see it and think

  • 6:35

that's a great idea because they have the number one morning show it's probably a good idea to hear some of the behind the scenes stories that the two

  • 6:42

of them have you know experienced throughout the years and they and nory's podcast what up Nory uh is premised on

  • 6:50

getting [ __ ] drunk pissy drunk and then you know spilling stories and maybe going at [ __ ] so I understand it it's

  • 6:55

very entertaining podcast right great podcast we really enjoy it and he got a deal from Revolt uh maybe was that a secret I

  • 7:03

don't know if that's out there yet so I'm not going to confirm or deny oh well all right well allegedly allegedly Nori

  • 7:10

is with Revolt that's not I'm we're not factchecking here to nor I call Nori

  • 7:16

shout out for nor to Nori for the war report like you just got to do it just

  • 7:21

got to do it if you have an album like that and you're in your uh discography

  • 7:26

yeah you're rocking but anyway so on nory's podcast and and Angela ye are there and they get right to the shits

  • 7:33

immediately do we have it so we can play it yeah I have it we'll play some of it that's not a curse that's a blessing

  • 7:40

okay continue yeah no I mean I think it's a disappointment as a person speaking about called you you got your

  • 7:46

phone number yeah you know we we we see each other a lot at the barber shop you know and it's certain things that that I

  • 7:52

respect from people and if he's that way I understand that's in his blood and and that's him he can't change that it's in

  • 7:58

his blood I like shot you know um way to go thanks aot BR respect and he was one

  • 8:04

of those individuals that coming up we came up together came through y right put him correct yeah clue put him on all

  • 8:11

this is true far them up yeah if there was a problem or situation I would call

  • 8:16

him first you know for instance you know since we had I'm not drunk yet but when we get drunk I'll tell you some okay

  • 8:22

please oh God wait go what I think makes a disappointment is I I he's a runner and when I mean runner if he

  • 8:30

gets that is what that means I'm saying like you know let's do the history break it down T Stone tag stone is here

  • 8:38

mm heads but approach M approach him how

  • 8:44

no like if he if if we have a difference of opinions we could as men we could have a difference of opinions yeah yeah

  • 8:49

but when he did that podcast when he about Joe Buton correct when he was was on the Pod I

  • 8:57

don't remember what it was but I just remember him leaving him walking now you scared this is he's referring to

  • 9:04

uh me walking out of the tax podcast right then when he went to HOT97

  • 9:10

interview he ran out when he was asking questions ran out and you can't you can't you can't live your life like that

  • 9:16

you can't live your life where you have 100% of your life out there but then when they ask you about something of your life and you don't feel comfortable

  • 9:21

you run look at me king [ __ ] you know not to talk about cuz I don't want to you know talk about it so much but do we

  • 9:28

need any more of this we don't need we don't need any more of this he was just trying to give you a large picture so

  • 9:33

Maul this is what has been occurring while while you have been gone now a few things here I don't mind anything that

  • 9:39

Envy said there I actually thought that he handled that situation probably as

  • 9:44

best as he could uh this is my only thing yeah you know at some point at

  • 9:51

some point it started to become really easy for Batteries to be insert inserted into into people right so I always will

  • 9:59

find it funny when Nori says yeah Joe Buton been coming at you did you hear it

  • 10:05

Envy says no and then just goes on this [ __ ] Joe Button Joe Button is [ __ ] Joe Button is

  • 10:11

a runner so that's number one that's my problem number one there um number

  • 10:17

two Nory has been doing this a lot now right yeah Nory likes to bring you up on his podcast why do you think Nory likes

  • 10:24

to bring me up so much on this podcast uh the people that he speaks to have some some form of a history with you I

  • 10:30

would say well no he's my guy from Queens like that's my guy that's my guy

  • 10:35

so I don't know why he brings me up but there's got to be a reason it's got to be a reason that Vlad brings me up too

  • 10:41

and I don't think the reasons are similar at all I don't think they're parallel but you got to look at the large picture

  • 10:48

man no we don't care eny was trying to give it give you the large picture right there and wait let me also add that Envy

  • 10:54

is starting a podcast he is envy and his wife that's interesting

  • 11:00

uh I don't know what it's called but that's important to note here as I'm being [ __ ] as I'm being character

  • 11:07

assassinated on this show oh this is my wait time out this is my only other problem with [ __ ] like this uh and I

  • 11:13

text Envy earlier I text him I said we should we should talk no and he said question mark question mark I said I

  • 11:18

heard the podcast uh it sounded like we should talk don't you agree and he said

  • 11:24

yeah So eventually him and I will have a conversation but let me ask y'all to who know me uh and I know my brain is off

  • 11:30

here the tag [ __ ] and the Ebro [ __ ] why do people keep bringing up those interviews as as examples of running

  • 11:38

from confrontation well I mean jokes are are better than facts onwi so that's where

  • 11:43

that comes in but I think no but they weren't joking just now when they said that no but I think was very serious I

  • 11:50

think Envy feels the type of way to the point of you speaking to Charlamagne saying I've known you from South

  • 11:55

Carolina we go way back there's certain things that you could speak to me about before you say them on the air I think

  • 12:00

that's the same case here Envy is looking like Joe [ __ ] we go back to my mother's basement you a need to say that

  • 12:06

I didn't need to say that Envy support stoping it's interesting to me I think men should stop doing that too like

  • 12:12

should I should I don't want I don't want people calling me every time they think something about me oh me either

  • 12:17

but I don't I think that was en's point and I'm just trying to put it in your point of view with the same thing with charlam when you were saying we we know

  • 12:24

each other outside of this industry [ __ ] I'm going to ask Envy EnV going to give me an apology on my podcast all right

  • 12:31

    Ray J we got it the bottom line is [ __ ] just don't [ __ ] with you

  • 12:37

yo better way to but I've been told you that about real real [ __ ] I've been told

  • 12:43

no but I told you that about Envy like two years ago when we was at the bar when we was at Jose's crib that day at the barber shop and you know he was

  • 12:50

waiting to get cut after you and it was just weird like he didn't say what's up nothing and I was like and when we

  • 12:55

walked out ask I said yo you don't [ __ ] with each other I remember I remember that remember it's like an industry what's up like [ __ ] feel like because

  • 13:01

you're in the same industry they say what's up but [ __ ] really don't [ __ ] with you that's the bottom line like I think Envy you know he he's a you know

  • 13:08

he a cool [ __ ] for the most part I don't really know him like that I see him coming but I don't he don't [ __ ] with you even before I think before all

  • 13:15

of this tweet and [ __ ] and all of that he just don't [ __ ] with you we've seen him in strip club certain nights he

  • 13:20

don't speak to you like [ __ ] he he really just don't [ __ ] with and well well yes you're right but I mean if

  • 13:27

we're going to tell the truth here and and it's is why I want to call envy and and be clear I gave Envy an open

  • 13:32

invitation to join this podcast whenever he feels but if we're going to be transparent here Envy is it's it's some

  • 13:38

nice where Envy's feeling himself out in the streets yeah it's some nights where Envy's feeling himself he don't really want to talk I mean he's Ferrari up he's

  • 13:46

[ __ ] two chained up Envy is very political and you have a stigma around you that isn't political so liking you

  • 13:53

is not if someone's trying to be political in the industry liking you is probably not in their best benefit but you know what but let me let me let me

  • 13:59

let me give y'all the large picture here and and this is to Maul's point now what's what's becoming trendy and very

  • 14:06

popular in the industry is when men don't [ __ ] with you

  • 14:12

but they haven't let you and I'm not saying this apply is applicable to Envy myself but when men don't [ __ ] with you

  • 14:17

and they don't let you know they [ __ ] with you and they hide it under the guise of oh I [ __ ] with you we go way back yeah that happens a lot right a lot

  • 14:26

a lot I even noticed it on Twitter like the Twitter [ __ ] with that whole [ __ ] that whole [ __ ] uh you know

  • 14:33

the condescending [ __ ] they they do the [ __ ] salutes I'm not I don't mean like when you salute but like when you

  • 14:39

    retweet some [ __ ] and you give them fake props or [ __ ] like that like now get the [ __ ] off you don't [ __ ] with me I don't [ __ ] with you that's okay right there's

  • 14:46

nothing wrong with that how come everybody always thinks something is wrong when you don't [ __ ] with somebody it's not that people want to be liked

  • 14:52

that's all yeah and I mean this industry is just built on just you know especially hip-hop I I don't think R&B

  • 14:58

or country music has to deal with this type of [ __ ] but like in our culture you

  • 15:03

know we give out a lot of fake love like what's up you know what I'm saying yeah I [ __ ] with you and then soon as you walk away like man [ __ ] that and Hip Hop

  • 15:11

is so uh crabs in the barrel that if someone else is getting attention you feel like all right I'm not getting

  • 15:16

enough attention let me go get that attention y'all y'all perfectly segwayed me to my next point which is hey hate to

  • 15:23

be the guy to Pat myself on the back here but it's a few of you media [ __ ] that know I kind of media better than

  • 15:31

y'all yeah yeah that could be that could be I'm dead ass I'm not joking that's a good t-shirt I media better than you

  • 15:37

yeah I do so now it's like so now it's like in that world you know you're

  • 15:43

viewing me a bit differently you're viewing me as a threat in that media world because I have a successful

  • 15:49

podcast you know what it is too in hip-hop and I'm not saying that about Envy I've just opened the floor for

  • 15:54

General discussion no yeah we we passed that but what it is in hip-hop that I noticed people don't [ __ ] with you unless they

  • 16:01

feel like they have something to gain from [ __ ] with you like Envy doesn't feel like he has anything to gain from

  • 16:07

[ __ ] with you right now now if you put out a platinum selling album and you going to be on you know one of the

  • 16:14

biggest series on TV and all this other [ __ ] the relationship might change between you and envy I don't like

  • 16:19

relationships like that I'm just saying that's what this industry is like people don't [ __ ] with you until they feel like

  • 16:25

they can gain something out of [ __ ] with you you know Roy told me many many many years ago like when him and I first

  • 16:31

started hanging out he said uh you know what it is about you [ __ ] want to like

  • 16:37

you they just don't [ __ ] with you cuz you don't [ __ ] with them yeah and then yeah it's the thing where you know it's

  • 16:43

like when you go to say what's up to a [ __ ] sometimes [ __ ] not sure if you going to say what's up back and then

  • 16:49

[ __ ] don't want to look like idiots that's that's kind of what it is like people just don't they they try to check

  • 16:54

your temperature cuz they just think that you're just all over the place you loopy in your head and all of this other [ __ ] so they just don't know what Joe

  • 17:00

they're getting today like is he going to say what's up to me is he not you know is he is he got a problem with me

  • 17:06

does he not have a problem with me so it just gets to a point where people just don't know how to approach you and then when they see Jack Thriller interviews

  • 17:13

it only confirms it's just like all right he is a dick I want to be if they can't gain anything from you they look

  • 17:18

at that as well and say well I don't want to be his [ __ ] friend either yeah I want to work on becoming more

  • 17:24

approachable I want to work on being friendlier I want to work on having more patience life is about self-improvement

  • 17:30

I will take all of these things into consideration during my self- inventory right thank you guys and envy

  • 17:37

I'm still calling you and you're you still have an open invite to come to my uh show I wish he was free to call him

  • 17:43

now on the podcast yeah yeah I know he said he wouldn't be free until a certain time and that would have been really good um so off of that for a little bit

  • 17:50

such a such a interest such an interesting week right um the same way I

  • 17:56

don't be knowing that I'm really a old head and to like we heard the comedians say the th throwback of the day comes on

  • 18:02

and it's a joint that you love like oh [ __ ] that's my song so that happened again with this uh surviving Compton

  • 18:08

biopic that just came out it happened again that was the moment I noticed that

  • 18:14

nobody around me had any idea who Michelle was MH yeah they didn't know

  • 18:20

anything about her story they didn't know her music they didn't know [ __ ] and I'm saying to myself how the [ __ ] y'all don't know me shelle and then I start

  • 18:27

thinking back to when that was early 90s uh yeah they not supposed to

  • 18:33

know Melle or her story and also not to throw Dre under the bus any more than he already was in that movie this stigma of

  • 18:39

Dre has been around for quite some time I just think the new fans don't know that the people that saw Straight Out of Compton as a biopic of people they'

  • 18:47

never heard of Dre looked like a great [ __ ] guy in that movie well explain what you're talking about for the people that don't know and Maul didn't see the

  • 18:53

uh movie yeah I didn't see it so well Dre has been accused and I believe settled with a couple women on domestic

  • 18:59

violence well before you start let's be clear they they were killing Dre I was parked in Dre's mentions oh that's the

  • 19:06

best part of when they're killing somebody is their mentions oh yeah for sure yeah well just just at the start of the movie that compared to Straight Out

  • 19:13

of Compton it looked like an elementary school play like I don't know who they casted as easy Cube no they just threw a

  • 19:20

Jerry curl on a light-skinned guy and like painted a beard on them but it was

  • 19:25

poorly put together as far as I see that they used the same Su though I thought that was Co I was about to say I felt like the parts the parts that needed to

  • 19:33

be casted strongly I felt were I thought this Dre did a great job just as far as

  • 19:39

the casting they casted a good Dre Suge and Michelle everybody else I didn't really give a [ __ ]

  • 19:44

about well [ __ ] they like easy and ice and ice cream Jerry Jerry Jerry I loved

  • 19:50

cuz he looked like because that's just who I picture that's the guy that I picture when you think of Jerry looked

  • 19:56

like he was my age in that movie he looked so [ __ ] young in that movie but also it was a completely different

  • 20:03

picture of him because he was like the nicest guy in the world it's funny how people's perceptions of people change

  • 20:09

100% he was the nicest guy in the world in that movie EAS was the nicest guy in the world in that movie Suge for 80% of

  • 20:16

the movie was the nicest guy in the world it was like everyone was around and Dre was just a complete [ __ ]

  • 20:21

lunatic around all these sane beautiful people so was this just one just just

  • 20:27

one like a a short film or was okay was a lifetime you ever seen a lifetime

  • 20:32

movie by accident one of those got you now they did cast Dre and make him look

  • 20:38

he they that Dre made Ike Turner look like [ __ ] Mickey Mouse like they they cast him to be like a mad

  • 20:46

monster with an out ofc control temper with anger and management issues you think Dre watched it yeah it don't

  • 20:52

matter if he didn't well [ __ ] he said he said he to sue before it came out yeah he knew he knew what was coming he knew

  • 20:58

what was coming because he's been trying to put a stop to this for uh for quite some time okay um I guess he failed yeah

  • 21:04

obviously this is one of my problems with that too like clearly that's not

  • 21:10

factual what do you mean the movie like everything in the movie is not factual

  • 21:16

it's inspired by and it's one person's account of so now we're in the generation or we're we're in the climate

  • 21:23

where you make that movie you could put in the beginning inspired by true events everything you see is not 100% accurate

  • 21:29

but once it's aired that is accurate [ __ ] set once it's aired that's what

  • 21:35

happens so it don't even matter if that wasn't Dre if Dre wasn't whing like that now that was you

  • 21:41

now yeah man that would be really [ __ ] up if this came out before his his fortune yeah I mean I'm sure the truth

  • 21:48

is somewhere in the middle between those two between Straight Out of Compton and surviving Compton well then again she

  • 21:54

wasn't even in Straight Out of Compton but I think Dre's personality was probably somewhere in the middle of those hitting a woman is probably the

  • 22:00

only thing people will never forgive you for if they see it they will never forgive you for it

  • 22:06

ever it's like the only thing like we we we accept Killers we accept killers

  • 22:12

before we accept them type of [ __ ] like really think about that the world is [ __ ] insane here all these people

  • 22:18

are sick by the way so don't get un edgy where where I'm about to go I'm ending I'm ending there I'm not going anywhere

  • 22:23

with this um what else happened really really big that was that was important

  • 22:28

that I got to kick oh my God all right Maul all right Maul did you did you read at least read the aelia bank story oh

  • 22:36

God no I would never read an aelia Banks oh you are missing out you are missing

  • 22:41

first of all how how do we all feel about aelia Banks because I love her I think she's I think she's I think she's

  • 22:47

talented talented I just think that she's in her own way much like yourself I think she's crying out for help M

  • 22:54

sends a shot in my way every [ __ ] chance I always tell you this you're your biggest obstacle you are your

  • 23:01

biggest obstacle well all right I want to debate that but can I finishia Banks

  • 23:07

this was the same thing with Charles Hamilton when I said you were like him I maybe mul can articulate it better I

  • 23:12

think that A zilia banks is talented I think that all of the [ __ ] outside of her craft stops people from getting to

  • 23:18

her craft you know what people have to stop saying that and respecting her craft seriously it's the truth it's the

  • 23:24

truth man like a lot of people follow you because they want to see the the crazy [ __ ] you're going to say the crazy

  • 23:30

[ __ ] you're going to do if I ask somebody to spit a Joe Button bar most

  • 23:37

people would not be able to do it unless it's like one of your a bigger single or a bigger true people don't really know

  • 23:44

how dope you are lyrically a lot a lot of people that follow you on social media they follow you because of the

  • 23:49

[ __ ] [ __ ] like Joe going he going to go at somebody you going to dis somebody a lot of [ __ ] follow you Cuzo that [ __ ]

  • 23:55

    always keep a bad [ __ ] with him D it's always things outside of I think that when people talk about [ __ ] [ __ ] with me

  • 24:03

it's OV exemplified no it is like when we talk about the [ __ ] [ __ ] like let's

  • 24:09

let's really talk about like what what do we mean exactly when we talk about Joe and Joe's [ __ ] [ __ ] the fact that

  • 24:14

Joe tweets freely or tweets regularly about just whatever the [ __ ] he want just [ __ ] has nothing to do with music

  • 24:20

that okay I follow you you seem to always be in it with someone like going

  • 24:26

back and forth with someone another celebrity or that wording seem to always that another

  • 24:31

artist that's true that's true that's true that's true that's true so I'm wait so I'm never right at all say not saying

  • 24:37

that you're not saying that you're right or wrong per it takes people away from the music is what I'm saying and when

  • 24:44

someone you whatever you say isn't right yeah and a lot of things that ailia does it takes people away from her music now

  • 24:50

I don't think that she makes music for me or guys like me mhm but I still

  • 24:55

understand when somebody is talented like I can still recognize that and I think she is very talented but it seems

  • 25:00

like every time I'm hearing about her it has something to do with everything other than her music let me ask you a

  • 25:07

question it's a question that I've asked a few people during this very same conversation or conversations that were

  • 25:13

similar in nature hold on example before you go there all right the record that Fab put on his

  • 25:20

mixtape a lot of people don't really even know that that's your record and they love and I see I see people talking

  • 25:26

about yo that Fab record is crazy I love it I'm like [ __ ] that's Joe's record mhm that's true but you put that record

  • 25:33

out and then jumped right into a beef with Drake that was a mistake so that CL

  • 25:38

that but that's what I'm ultimately saying it takes people away from you know I mean people know that you beef with Drake but they don't know that the

  • 25:44

songs that they love with Fab on it is really your record if in if in 10

  • 25:51

years the bo if all right let me figure out how to word this properly if in 10

  • 25:57

years music is my second or third source of

  • 26:05

income do you still say Joe button's Antics took away from what should have

  • 26:10

been occurring or however you word that do y'all follow me I know that could the

  • 26:15

end clarify the end a little bit you know how Maul and other people say his Antics and his Antics and the [ __ ] that

  • 26:23

he does take takes away from his talent Envy you hear certain people say uh he should have been bigger like Envy said

  • 26:29

in that podcast uh his career would be deemed as a disappointment I everything people say

  • 26:35

about me I can argue with just knowledge and logic but anyway that's what I mean when I say that so the end was a little

  • 26:40

bit Mumble jumbled but if in 10 years rap is nowhere near in in uh

  • 26:47

involved in how I make my main source of income can you still look back at everything that occurred and judge it no

  • 26:55

cuz I I think everything happens for a reason I think that's a very valid your antics would then lead to these

  • 27:01

other sources of income is what you're saying or may have or may be in large part due to it helps people a postive

  • 27:07

way yeah and like you you they get more of who you are your personality and people you know obviously want to see it and want to want to hear it and want to

  • 27:13

want to watch it so I get what you're saying with that so when you say that there's a a large community of people

  • 27:19

who don't necessarily know my talent you're right but everybody that's following me is not following me for the

  • 27:25

same thing we have a lot of people who listen to this podcast they hate my music yeah I'm not ever to knock them there's nothing wrong with that but but

  • 27:32

I say that from the point of just because I know how talented you are and I think that you should be you should be given way

  • 27:38

more credit and and you should be spoken about more with the cats that they deem

  • 27:44

today to be you know dope Lyricist and he's amazing like I put you right there in the same room with all of these guys

  • 27:50

just because I I know your music and I and I and I know your talent but the [ __ ] around it is what kind of took

  • 27:57

people attent takes people attention away from that but then but then on top to do that and but but I mean let timing

  • 28:04

definitely does no timing because yeah you could stand toe-to-toe with the people from The Golden Era as far as rapping but you came out in what 0304 05

  • 28:12

is when music shifted to a realm of not to knock the South but things that just weren't surrounded Around lyrics so

  • 28:19

those fans aren't listening no he's talking about period I'm talking about cat now today

  • 28:24

kri well no but these but these new fans now only know you for your antics they don't know you for

  • 28:30

that the Cole Kendrick fans so it's timing wise you on that cusp where the Golden Era whatever they was done with

  • 28:37

that and then you moved to 05 where you would have prospered but it wasn't that type of Realm as a fan mhm and now you

  • 28:43

have the new kids that do like lyrics but they only know Joe Buton as loving hip-hop and a psychopath to add to that

  • 28:49

too and I wanted to add something to Mo's Point you're as as correct as you are I'm the only one from that bridge

  • 28:56

era cuz that's what I call it I feel like people like me Fab push a t we were the bridge absolutely to uh all of the

  • 29:03

people that are doing it now I'm the only one to talk about from that bridge era like that and I'm the only one still

  • 29:09

relevant today well out of the people that are still relevant today I'm the only one they speak of like that from that bridge era like we don't look at

  • 29:14

Fab and say well Fab came out back then so like we don't look at pushing and say

  • 29:19

yo the times changed and like we don't do that only with me fa was really really good at keeping with what people

  • 29:26

wanted to hear from a it standpoint you did not and not only that Fab that was

  • 29:31

my that was my other point Fab keeps a lot of [ __ ] away from him too though yeah and Fab just cool that's that's

  • 29:37

goes to my point of what I'm that wasn't a knock at you but Fab just knows always how to be cool in every situation even

  • 29:43

he's not being himself the music part is the other point I was going to make let's look at the alternative let's say

  • 29:48

Joe Button did not get in Joe button's own own way and everything was Bliss

  • 29:54

everything was wonderful knowing the person that I am I would hate it right I would not only hate it number one but

  • 30:00

number two I don't think my music and the music that I'm happy creating appeals to such a large demographic like

  • 30:07

I killed Jay Cole for that wet dream song because he was 30 telling me about how he lost his virginity I don't personally don't want to hear that [ __ ]

  • 30:13

it was a hit for him right and it worked for him so I mean different Str for different folks you wouldn't have been

  • 30:18

good at that I I think your career went in the direction it should have I agree with that so when so when people say so

  • 30:25

you wouldn't have a career period had you tried to follow what Fab was that's why see I think it would have

  • 30:30

been and even with Fab I could flip I could I could flip the coin with anybody you name Fab as great as he has done

  • 30:36

he's never toured he doesn't tour I could I could paint an entire PowerPoint bulletin and say how I think that's

  • 30:43

hurtful I've said it to him but he has a different way of doing things again Different Strokes for different folks MH

  • 30:51

I don't should tour more Fab shows are great you forget how many [ __ ] hits he has Fab has a lot of I'm trying to

  • 30:57

conin Fab oh man fa Fab and myself we are we're going to get back to Zila Banks

  • 31:03

but go ahead we are Fab and myself we are we are we for me we are the The

  • 31:09

Pinnacles of just different the poster CHS for different frame of minds and different ways of going about it so for

  • 31:15

me to be for this project for raing machine to be coming out on move music my own imprint distributed through

  • 31:22

Empire to be independent there the struggles that we go through and in keeping this podcast independent and

  • 31:28

knowing why we do it that way let's be very clear for the people that don't know all this [ __ ] is aligned together

  • 31:35

and and goes together clearly I'm trying to do things a bit differently than some of my contemporaries clearly my plan is

  • 31:42

different so for so many people to attempt to judge a plan without knowing what the plan is for you to say it's a

  • 31:48

disappointment I almost get offended when people say that I could easily look at an Envy or anybody and say you're a

  • 31:54

disappointment you're not khed yeah yeah you're disappointment you was

  • 32:00

around you was you had a whole verse on your album you was around Fab stack you had a whole lineup and nothing that's a

  • 32:07

that's disappointing that's why success is relative yeah but yeah that's what I'm saying we can't we can't behave that

  • 32:12

way we can't we can't do that how could I do that to somebody I couldn't and sleep at night and sleep but but with

  • 32:18

podcast and radio and Twitter and Instagram people get uncomfortable for

  • 32:23

some reason now when they're not giving an opinion about something it's given a platform to give an opinion that you typically wouldn't give but now that

  • 32:29

it's offered you give it and it comes out wrong because you probably wouldn't have said that to begin with yeah like a

  • 32:35

lot of people and let me be perfectly clear for a minute drum roll please drum roll it's okay to just not have an opinion on something wait hold up Ro cuz

  • 32:41

I don't want you to catch none of this heat in case some come cuz I'm about to talk my [ __ ] real quick let me be

  • 32:46

perfectly clear these these people that appear to be larger than life that speak a certain way about the God can't really

  • 32:52

do so I own all my [ __ ] it's very important for me to be independent I work and bust my ass to get to this

  • 32:59

point today so when you own your [ __ ] yeah man these [ __ ] can't really

  • 33:05

talk to me man and and I still ra a circle around these [ __ ] Now aelia Banks yes I woke up this morning I saw a

  • 33:12

story that read I still I saw a headline that read it said aelia Banks and

  • 33:19

Russell C gets kicked out of russle Crow's hotel room a headline you

  • 33:26

typically wouldn't think you would see Russell Crow and zilia Banks together yes Mo yes Mo so Russell crow and a

  • 33:32

zilia banks are [ __ ] no but time out but time out don't say what isn't that

  • 33:37

an intriguing headline look at your face right now that was my face don't you want to know more the first thing I said

  • 33:43

to myself was why the [ __ ] is Russell Crow with aelia banks and why the [ __ ]

  • 33:49

is aelia Banks in Russell Crow's hotel room right for a dinner party I didn't know that yet so I click on the story

  • 33:56

Russell Crow with is having a private dinner party to play some music and have some dinner with a few of his good

  • 34:02

friends MH and as soon as I read that my brain said well who the [ __ ] invited

  • 34:08

aelia Banks to this right and as I continued to read the rizer okay was there oh no as I

  • 34:15

continued to read I then found out that she was a plus one and then my brain said why who the [ __ ] is plus oneing and zelia Banks to Russell crows part and it

  • 34:21

was the rizer God damn it it was the rizer and then I thought wow this is one of the greatest stories I've ever heard

  • 34:27

Russell Crow was playing some music this is all allegedly M I read this Russell Crow is playing some

  • 34:32

music aelia Banks says man all this [ __ ] ass all this [ __ ] y playing is whack man

  • 34:39

turn up man you know old white man music yeah yeah old white man music quote one of Russell's

  • 34:46

lady friends uh uh tried to Hint it her to pipe it down that's when uh voices

  • 34:53

were raised and aelia Banks just according to this story just wild out and start calling them she said she was

  • 35:00

going to break a glass open and slice it on their neck to see how much blood could come out or something along those

  • 35:05

lines she said y'all would love it if I broke this bottle and started stabbing

  • 35:10

everyone in the necks and blood flew everywhere just like a Tarantino

  • 35:17

movie so then apparently she got up maybe she had an object in her hand we

  • 35:22

don't know and Russell Crow put her in a bear hug grabbed her allegedly threw her

  • 35:28

out allegedly ailia Banks then said she was called the n-word and was thrown out

  • 35:34

it always goes back to that with a zilia Banks like every time I hear A zilia banks story it always goes back to some

  • 35:40

racist [ __ ] I have call a [ __ ] too I would have called her everything if you talking about you to cut everyone open

  • 35:47

like a Tarantino movie like get your [ __ ] crazy ass out of here [ __ ] her statement was very very I'm a victim I

  • 35:54

kind of want to pull it up it almost sounded like she got raped like the way yeah the wording was very Olivia bonish

  • 36:01

what has what has the Riz had where was the r in all this where was the rizer in all of this

  • 36:08

the [ __ ] that's his plus one you got to control your plus one Yo No let me Mo

  • 36:15

me and you have been against plus one for so long they people never control their [ __ ] got control your plus one

  • 36:20

that's a that's a golden rule my God forbid your plus one has a plus one yeah like come on man yeah now you the plus

  • 36:26

half yeah oh man yeah this is what she said afterward

  • 36:32

this is a stain on me my femininity feels stained I feel stained as a woman I feel mishandled I feel mistreated I

  • 36:39

    feel dirty I feel very [ __ ] low I feel like every time I hear a

  • 36:44

woman used as a woman it's used wrong like stop trying to hide [ __ ] behind

  • 36:50

I feel like you went to a party that you were a plus one to and you acted out of character and they asked you to leave and they said get this [ __ ] [ __ ] out

  • 36:57

of here like any logical person I would have said that Rory would have said it I give a [ __ ] I would not have said that

  • 37:03

Rory would definitely have said who invited this [ __ ] [ __ ] here get this

  • 37:08

picking n out of here that's what said thanks guys oh man so I'm not I'm not

  • 37:14

mad at Russell Crow man hey Russell Crow If you didn't see see ma that's who you should have put clown juice on [ __ ] aelia Banks even though we love aelia

  • 37:20

Banks friend of the show yeah but friend of the show you're a friend of the show no but I'm just the people I like the show is funny yes

  • 37:28

friend to the show to no one who has actually ever been to the show for a show that don't have guests right yo no

  • 37:34

we have to do that friend of the show aelia aelia Banks is a friend of the show she's definely a friend of the show

  • 37:40

that's number one uh so what else good what else oh man wait and I don't even know if I'm allowed to have as much fun

  • 37:46

with this uh uh twerking [ __ ] oh my god with I had a blast with young Nikki I

  • 37:52

had a blast I had a blast I don't care what y'all say I know we shouldn't talk about it I've lost my talk talk about

  • 38:00

Nicki Meek Drake privileges but if you didn't think that that's working [ __ ] was funny I just

  • 38:07

didn't understand when she she she started twerk and then she stopped and told somebody don't take no pictures of

  • 38:12

me you're at a concert oh I didn't even hear that part yeah yes she she turned around she

  • 38:18

looked at someone and said don't take no pictures of no no no no no you're wrong she didn't turn around and look at someone she turned around and looked at

  • 38:23

20,000 people I said don't take a picture well taking a picture of her in rape culture cuz she was oh my God she

  • 38:29

was talking to one person in particular but she turned around and looked at the crowd in Barclays basically like you're

  • 38:35

performing you're naked you're in the lace it's also on TI it's being filmed

  • 38:41

yeah you're sex symbol right I just don't get it but so now let me ask you

  • 38:47

something did the twering thing did she perform before after she met Lauren Hill in the dressing room uh there's no way

  • 38:53

for me to know perform I mean I'm sorry I would say before before she performed before she met Lauren Hill yeah did

  • 38:58

Lauren Hill come into her dress room before or after I'm saying before she got on stage she looked like she hadn't performed I think Lauren went on after

  • 39:05

Nikki I think okay I'm pretty sure sin was there I'm getting all my information

  • 39:11

from [ __ ] sin being there said Beyonce came out did one

  • 39:16

song beon she obviously wasn't getting paid

  • 39:21

yeah what you thought you was getting a [ __ ] uh b b set if y'all get your dusty ass out this bar

  • 39:28

right but uh Beyonce did come back out and she performed X Factor with Lauren

  • 39:34

oh how come I didn't send any footage that what you sure how come no one talked about that wow well that's what

  • 39:39

we're here for today that's amazing listen to me so I'm mad I didn't see that there there was a there was a video

  • 39:45

floating around and I pressed it now I know it's almost impossible to think

  • 39:51

that somebody could body X Factor better than the original record right there has

  • 39:57

to be an audio version of this the Beyonce doing X Factor

  • 40:02

mhm she it was ridiculous like she bodied bodied bodied totally bied that

  • 40:07

sin's story this is sin's account not mine she was there was Lauren was doing X Factor and she was like all over the

  • 40:13

place with it like she wasn't sounding like the record mhm and then Beyonce came out I'm sure Google it Rory and see

  • 40:19

if you can find cuz I would like to play that that's how beautiful that music was yeah I'm mad X Factor to me is one of

  • 40:25

the greatest R&B songs ever made uh it is it's in my it's in my if I have to

  • 40:31

make a list it's going in my top whatever the number is I've said it was on this podcast as a number one R&B

  • 40:36

worker Beyonce hit that [ __ ] out of a park you found

  • 40:42

it you found it oh my God look at us look at us like we got producers here

  • 40:49

let's let's play this hold on let's make sure it's it no that's it I remember turn this up it's loud as it ghes

  • 40:59

    [Music]

  • 41:11

[Music] Jesus talk to These [ __ ]

  • 41:18

be I mean lemonade was just like one big X Factor yeah this makes

  • 41:25

sense I think that's another reason I liked it so much you could tell that's one of Beyonce's favorite records she

  • 41:31

sing she's singing that like she's look look she ain't

  • 41:40

    [Music]

  • 41:47

[Music] listen I need I need the audio version

  • 41:55

of this oh oh she feel [Music]

  • 42:02

    this I can't believe I didn't see a link to this or

  • 42:07

anything that's that's the visual yeah this is

  • 42:12

[Music] amazing was Lauren on stage with her I

  • 42:18

haven't seen her yet who cares hey turn up though

  • 42:24

be this [ __ ] is ridiculous like she jaming she jamming like like

  • 42:30

she in the kitchen waiting for the mac and cheese to finish you can tell that's one of be's favorite joints right she is

  • 42:36

right yeah she she jaming she a have to prepare for this she said oh X Factor I'll do it tomorrow yeah yeah for real

  • 42:42

she look like she might have been on her way out the building and they actually to do that she was like what let's go for real I'm coming right back to do

  • 42:48

that one that's crazy I got chills when I when I saw that would have been worth my time at the uh tit period cuz I saw

  • 42:55

cuz I saw some people complaining I mean complaining about her singing that

  • 43:01

complaining Lauren said was really long okay like I saw somebody joke they said

  • 43:06

uh all day I was joking um making uh jokes about whether Lauren Hill would show up one time and now she don't want

  • 43:12

to leave so her set was pretty long well I saw I saw Lauren at Brooklyn Bowl this

  • 43:19

year or the end of last year and she was on time and it was phenomenal so I know that's like becoming a running joke but

  • 43:25

I thought it was great I heard I heard you I heard you put on a great show yeah how far into your new relationship can

  • 43:30

you play X Factor around your girl before you think she probably going to think of somebody else cuz every every

  • 43:35

girl has a a bay they think of and look out the window when someone plays X Factor damn that sounds like it would be

  • 43:42

true I don't want to know who my uh queen is thinking about say how far 6 months do you think you're cool out of

  • 43:48

the water no 6 months is not enough time but to this title to the title concert I

  • 43:54

heard that [ __ ] um uh and not just from sent by the way I heard the transitions were a little

  • 44:01

shaky uh so they might have been have some having some technical difficulties backstage which I think is part of the

  • 44:07

reason they let Nicki Minaj rant for so long because I think she was I think she was told to buy time cuz she went on a

  • 44:13

long rant and I'm not going to say anything cuz I

  • 44:18

just can't say anything I just don't she did a lot of cursing but Nikki curses

  • 44:24

she wasn't sounding just was the same L it for listen to it for yourself I did listen to it the same concert yeah the

  • 44:31

same concert she was like you don't want you want a Milan or you want yeah that one that that that was a wild just was a

  • 44:37

lot of was just a lot I don't know man just a lot n Nikki is a dollan joint at the end of the day people have to

  • 44:44

remember that yeah she's a girl from Queens man it's still there she she's g a lot a lot of success she's she's you

  • 44:51

know Superstar now but she at at the core of it all she's a she's a queen girl she still took the van down Merck

  • 44:57

telling uh that was a good van oner um I was telling Rory and M that van sucks

  • 45:03

what are you talking about I don't think it suck I thought it was very useful uh I was telling Rory and Maul that so when

  • 45:10

this whole Nicki twerking thing was going on which [ __ ] was killing [ __ ] that that that I had such a great time

  • 45:17

just glued to my phone [ __ ] said look like she was twerking mud flaps oh my

  • 45:22

God come on man come on let's relax man let's relax Jesus Christ mud flaps yo

  • 45:29

wait mud flaps wait I got another one cuz a friend of mine told me he watched the video he was like yo I ain't going

  • 45:34

to lie man I I don't like Nikki I wouldn't hit that and I immediately called [ __ ] you be believing that

  • 45:41

    but I no I don't I don't think any [ __ ] would Nikki walks in a room nobody in

  • 45:46

the room like I wouldn't hit that I could eat well if you're just going on physical appearance no yeah that's what I'm talking about but if you start to

  • 45:52

add in some other variables I could easily see that happening I don't think Mo was talking about other I'm talking about looking at Nikki walk

  • 45:59

in a room wait Hamp said Nikki twerk like she got scoliosis come on man see this is what

  • 46:06

I'm saying this why [ __ ] don't need a everybody doesn't need a platform I have scolio you know how funny that is how

  • 46:13

you twerk like your whole spine is crooked and we love Nikki Nikki's a friend of the show Nikki is definitely a

  • 46:19

friend of the show N is a friend of the show she a friend of she friend of the show um right so Nikki was twerking

  • 46:25

whatever we don't care about any of that [ __ ] right so so Safari I guess saw this and I hate that I'm so uh I hate that I

  • 46:31

know all of this [ __ ] but I'm Petty like that Safari tweeted yo y'all you ever

  • 46:36

seen a picture of one of your joints and one of s yeah yeah after watching Love

  • 46:42

Hip Hop that's definitely his voice um and you want to send a text like hey big head right so I thought that was cool

  • 46:49

and then I guess Meek saw it and me gave us he immediately hit us with an Insta

  • 46:54

insta eclip dissing diss Safari uh in the video he captured it hey big head I

  • 47:01

    love all of this I know I'm Petty I know I'm Petty I know I'm Petty I know I'm Petty right but I love it I don't

  • 47:07

care didn't he delete his Instagram so he could ghost write Nikki's captions now Meek did delete his Instagram I

  • 47:14

    don't really understand that I don't understand I don't understand that either how you [ __ ] do y'all not

  • 47:19

understand that why would Instagram has put him in nothing but trouble for entire IE with that I disagree with that

  • 47:26

like you could EAS just not read your comments you can post whatever you want and that he turn comments off he easily

  • 47:31

can't do that cuz he continues with this Behavior so deleting it is probably the best option but my this is what people got to remember at the end of it all

  • 47:37

with this social media [ __ ] whatever is being put out you're putting it out you control that yeah

  • 47:43

clearly he's not good at it so he should stop doing it take away the so let me

  • 47:49

let me just play devil's advocate here I don't think I don't think he has a problem with the stuff he's putting out

  • 47:56

we has a the problem is how it's received and what's said yeah because it's being received that way because

  • 48:02

it's becoming a pattern Meek had over 8 million followers on Instagram right that's valuable in

  • 48:09

today's hip-hop right absolutely why are you deleting that c i mean you've been a

  • 48:15

nut A A head ass you've been a head ass on this so why are you deleting the now

  • 48:21

you a head ass for using head ass I'm mad I'm mad at head ass for using head

  • 48:26

ass I hate the fact that people are killing head ass too every time something is halfway funny and cool you [ __ ] young

  • 48:33

idiots come and [ __ ] it right up and now everything is a head ass and now I don't laugh anymore at head ass like I used to

  • 48:38

head ass [ __ ] turn it shut up Rory anyway uh when when you're Instagram or

  • 48:43

your Twitter is deleted I know with Twitter you have 29 days to recover yeah he'll definitely have it back oh yeah he

  • 48:49

will have it back I think I don't know that's just so that's that's just so

  • 48:54

corny to me to just delete your social media like I just I never understood it

  • 49:00

I mean I don't have a lot of follows on social media but I'm just I just never understood what is the point of that the point of what deleting your

  • 49:07

account I think someone deleted it for him in his Camp cuz you're because

  • 49:12

everyone's going to come back to social media at some point I don't care what you're going through at the moment Frank oan didn't come back to social media

  • 49:19

well he'll be back soon that's remains to be seen But like when kaani went through her ordeal and she almost died

  • 49:26

or whatever happened to to her and she deleted her account she was back like 2 days later yeah but not everyone is as

  • 49:31

levelheaded as you Ma and they may have temptation to say something on social media and people around them may say hey

  • 49:38

let me get that from you so you don't do anything more detrimental to what's going on taking someone's

  • 49:44

phone is you know listen don't you know you you can take somebody's phone you

  • 49:50

can what but deleting the account and then getting the account back and to me that's just I just don't understand that

  • 49:56

I mean understand people might you know you can't control what somebody's going to do in their social media account you like yo please don't do this once

  • 50:02

somebody is alone they can do whatever the [ __ ] they want but if but if you can get your account back then I don't see

  • 50:07

much risk in in just deleting it for the Press it's it's corny but that's why I

  • 50:12

like it I feel like that's what it's for it's for press it might be for press yeah I don't like that it's corny when people are like social media is mad

  • 50:18

corny y'all have y'all are mad bored [ __ ] y'all and delete it and then come back you look nuts that way but in kaani

  • 50:24

situation where she's tweeting suicide things it's probably better she doesn't have that until she's over that suicidal

  • 50:30

moment hey uh before I forget uh also at the title conert did he told did he

  • 50:36

thank kaani for saving R&B Karen civil reported did he thank kaan for saving

  • 50:43

R&B yes kaani saved R&B I'm telling you what did he thanked

  • 50:51

Kanani for is what I'm telling you I'm not telling you that she saved it I'm telling you he thanked her for it

  • 50:57

listen listen listen I have nothing here so listen I get it like you know what I

  • 51:02

mean but puff got to relax kaani is not saving anything no he said she saved it

  • 51:07

already no she didn't save it well how do you know it's thriving it she didn't save R&B you can't prove she didn't

  • 51:14

listen man I got to play Devil's ADV nah [ __ ] that I like kaani Fu I don't even know if kaani is

  • 51:21

R&B yeah she's R&B yes what would she be more pop than R&B no no no way uh you

  • 51:27

should be here was definitely R&B what pop record kaani did well you know she put that one record out trying to be pop

  • 51:32

she got a record out right now that's more pop RB that's the record I'm talking about I think she wants to be pop but what she is right this second is

  • 51:38

R&B I have not heard a ballot from from K you're not po the letter is [ __ ] half

  • 51:44

that [ __ ] mixtape is a ballot well New Age ballots listen bro come on Save

  • 51:50

R&B no more than no I'm not debating that no this is a ballad by Kone

  • 51:57

we all like kaani kaan's a friend of the show I love kaani she's a friend of the show she is a friend of the show I love kaani but saved R&B come on I'm not no

  • 52:04

puff just want beat no I don't think puff wants to be wants to beat you don't think puff wants to [ __ ] Kanani no I

  • 52:10

don't think he skin joint wait huh wait you don't think puff wants to [ __ ] aani

  • 52:15

no why not no she doesn't even I don't she doesn't even what she doesn't look just had a party in the hospital she

  • 52:23

just had Kyrie jump shot off what you mean she doesn't she doesn't look like Kyrie jump shot left for a whole

  • 52:32

series but but K dribble no more what are you talking about yeah but kaani doesn't look like Puff's type she do to

  • 52:38

me no I think puff like I don't think puff has ever been with a tomboy she's not polished I don't think Kine is a

  • 52:45

tomboy are you stupid she's 1,000% not likes girls first of all first and

  • 52:50

foremost she clearly likes [ __ ] too yeah but she likes girls she's a tomboy you I mean don't get t tomboy cuz she

  • 52:57

like girl no but look at her look at the way she dresses like she's a tomboy she wears baggy [ __ ] jerseys like she's a

  • 53:03

tomboy she would rather be that [ __ ] is sexy today I'm not saying it's not I'm just saying I don't think that's Puff's

  • 53:09

type I think Puffs likes likes women in every sense of the word he likes women he likes to he wants them looking like

  • 53:15

women at all time I ain't saying puff is trying to give her percentage and S no but you said you said he wants to beat I

  • 53:21

don't think that he's sexually attracted to K why would he be telling kaani that she saved thank you for saving R&B just

  • 53:28

to be polite like that I mean feel that he probably he probably one feels that way two he prob I just told you that and you told me no way now he feels like

  • 53:34

that I'm trying to help you a [ __ ] argument I mean I don't know man it's it's it all goes back to this just industry [ __ ] man like he felt like

  • 53:40

maybe that was just some dope [ __ ] to say I don't know I think that sometimes industry people are just way nicer than

  • 53:46

they need to be yeah like I think he just wanted to say some dope [ __ ] motivate her I guess a little bit you know what I mean like y I got the stamp

  • 53:51

from puff that I saved R&B like so now she's going to go out and try to make some of the greatest music and do do

  • 53:57

some joints with puff you know you could be trying to sign her people be trying or signed her already oh you could be trying to sign her and that's the setup

  • 54:02

yeah or sign who or already signed her and that's the setup let me just say that I think kaani

  • 54:08

is super talented I'm going just put that out there she is like I love her but I don't think she saved R&B no I

  • 54:15

don't think she would say that but I mean as a as a new artist you know she tweeted about it clearly I could see how

  • 54:20

it would mean a lot to hear that from puff right so I could see whether it's true or not you can't save R&B when you

  • 54:27

have artists like Luke James and you know uh who's the Eric Bellinger everybody always talking about saving

  • 54:33

    R&B and you know it be the [ __ ] talking about save some [ __ ] that ain't supporting [ __ ] that's a fact [ __ ]

  • 54:38

    Luke James project ain't what it where it should be y'all [ __ ] ain't purchasing him [ __ ] his [ __ ] BJ [ __ ]

  • 54:45

Eric B just put down a project every other month trying to get somebody attention like stop saying we want good music and then when good musicians put

  • 54:51

out music you don't buy it it's great music out there no but it sounds cool to say to save it

  • 54:57

from who what it sounds cool to say bring back New York hip-hop it just sounds cool I'm people got to stop

  • 55:03

saying that stop saying what bringing back New York I brought New York back I hate when rappers say that who said that

  • 55:08

a lot of rappers have said I brought New York back I got New York no you have not and no you don't I brought New York back

  • 55:14

a little bit when did you when did you bring New York back first of all you rep jersey

  • 55:22

number what are you I'm more concerned with y'all just bursting out and

  • 55:29

    no you don't New York [ __ ] I don't give a [ __ ] [ __ ] don't spit on me again that's funny man that is funny no I

  • 55:35

didn't bring New York back but I hate when people do that too um I um I brought New York back and yo I got one

  • 55:42

with this one I hate both of those I hate that I hate I got one we got one with this no you don't I don't even care

  • 55:49

if you do got don't say that to me say it yeah and I don't want to hear you got one with this but let's look at the New

  • 55:55

York scen for a little bit here with uh and I ain't going to stay on this but somebody asked me this during an

  • 56:01

interview and when I didn't know that we was doing like that hey boogie they said they said young ma Don um here I got I

  • 56:07

actually put a list together I was about to tweet Davies young Boogie Joe Joey Badass Action Bronson designer Don Q I I

  • 56:14

don't know how someone could say that New York hip hop is in dope somebody's and somebody still is even missing from

  • 56:20

from that I just can't think of him right this second but that's I like Don Q a lot I like a lot of people like Don

  • 56:26

    like that kid a lot but that's a nice little lineup yeah that's a great lineup that's a lineup that's that's a region

  • 56:32

being represented well I would I would say yeah people probably just talking about the sound they don't like the new

  • 56:38

New York I guess cuz it's not old New York yeah but New York doesn't really have producers

  • 56:43

like that that's the problem here not only that you don't have people up at radio that support New York and

  • 56:49

technology has made it so where you don't things don't have to be Regional like you know when my first Al came out

  • 56:56

I was so disappointed that New Jersey wasn't in my top 10 selling markets right but you know today with technology

  • 57:03

like fetty could be big in Kansas City bigger than he is in certain places

  • 57:09

parts of new jerse like you know what I mean I I was watching we don't know where our reach interview was some New

  • 57:14

York was it a boogie someone was saying like down south they don't get that because the South doesn't no one says yo

  • 57:19

you don't sound like Outcast it's not really it's not reallyl of Music well I'm saying that Dungeon

  • 57:25

Family sound they don't do that in Atlanta but in New York everyone's like you don't sound like you from New York

  • 57:31

in Atlanta they don't sound like Outcast they don't sound like the original quote unquote Atlanta sound that the dungeon family created so why is it just in New

  • 57:38

York that we do that cuz they whack we whack in New York listen oh my

  • 57:45

God talk for a minute [ __ ] the West Coast the West Coast might be the only area that stayed true to their sound

  • 57:51

from day one to right now no it's not fear to say stay true to

  • 57:57

your sound but I don't want to have this music debate right now because I'm in a great mood well Houston too 100% Houston

  • 58:03

and uh in C Houston going to chop and screw a techno record that [ __ ] be fire

  • 58:09

too be fire there some ho they G to get they [ __ ] Cho

  • 58:16

and screw on oh man oh speaking of bad boy uh Mary Jay's husband we ain't oh no

  • 58:23

Mary Jay's husband you know how much dope for our podcast would sound if when you started telling stories like this like somebody was there with a music bed

  • 58:30

yeah if we had like a producer but we're independ if you was dope you would play the music bed while you're talking about whatever go ahead you do it bro take the

  • 58:36

laptop no I don't have that song but go ahead Mary J another great moment in menus history men are getting their

  • 58:43

Vengeance back yes and asking Mary that she needs to pay alimony need to pay for my kids that ain't even yours yes it was

  • 58:50

some wild astronomical [ __ ] number that he's asking $25,000 Mon and I hope

  • 58:55

he gets every every last s of it Mary women were losing their [ __ ] wigs you can't make

  • 59:02

no more drama and then create drama pay man Pay The Man pay man women were saying he's acting like a little [ __ ]

  • 59:07

type of man so a husband right a husband and a manager who's been there for the

  • 59:13

last 80 years right and if you're going to divorce me after I help to create this Empire which he did unless she can

  • 59:18

argue against it which he will right pay a man now the number wife was going to get more just for being there as she

  • 59:25

should right this [ __ ] helped I support it [ __ ] that pay that man yeah

  • 59:31

that's this is when I actually wish we had a woman here too so we could [ __ ] jump her cuz she would definitely lose this

  • 59:38

one 1000% yeah now I don't know I don't know Mary they seem like two people that

  • 59:44

you just never thought was going to break up yeah and if they're kind of forcing me to care about this Hey quietus cap

  • 59:51

something else that they're forcing me to care about that I really do not care about I swear to God I don't care about this

  • 59:57

right before our eyes they're getting Kim Kardashian the [ __ ] out of here and making Kylie the new one the family's

  • 1:00:03

doing it that's the only reason I'm paying attention to this I think that the

  • 1:00:08

family is purposely getting Kim the [ __ ] out of here and focusing their efforts

  • 1:00:15

to the the young girl well they got to build this one from from the womb there's a lot more invested in this

  • 1:00:21

one Kim Kim was a shot in the dark this is the next why am I talking about the I know cuz you know about it CU you and

  • 1:00:27

your girlfriend pillow talk about the kashian but uh I'm going to keep keep an eye on this one I'm going to keep an eye

  • 1:00:33

on this one thanks Joe make make sure to keep us posting I'm always looking for the conspiracy theor speaking of

  • 1:00:39

conspiracy theories the debate is tonight is it tonight the debate is tonight are we saying tonight actually

  • 1:00:44

tonight isn't Wednesday tonight isn't Wednesday night the debate is along with [ __ ] if I'm correct I think the Knicks

  • 1:00:50

play the Celtics again tomorrow yeah they play tomorrow night we about to get to that tonight more after watching that

  • 1:00:56

Boston game you still don't you still don't think Boston is a 50 plus win team

  • 1:01:01

no I think they play I think they shot the ball out of their mind in the third quarter and even when all of those

  • 1:01:07

threes they were hitting the Knicks still almost won that game the the Celtics are going to win 50 plus games but whatever we we won't talk

  • 1:01:14

about that why why did I bring have them around the same as the Knicks why did you bring but they won 50

  • 1:01:20

games last year we know did they want 50 last year 4 the year before Celtics yeah

  • 1:01:26

they won 50 last year and 48 the year before they they've been knocking at the door and they added Al Harford how we don't think they're gonna win 50 plus

  • 1:01:32

games I just don't see it because the Knicks are in how do y'all feel about Kevin Durant doing the three-pointer no

  • 1:01:37

look look away [ __ ] do we like it I think I I love Kevin Durant as a person I think he made the biggest mistake of

  • 1:01:43

his career though why because there was

  • 1:01:48

absolutely no need and no reason for him to leave Oklahoma City number one clearly there was a bunch of reasons cuz

  • 1:01:54

he left no say your knowledge no that I think every I think the reason he left had everything to do with everything

  • 1:02:02

other than basketball I think it was all business you have to weigh those things yeah that count yeah but I I I still

  • 1:02:08

don't like it though he doesn't even look he doesn't even look right out there does Kevin Durant average more

  • 1:02:13

than 25 points this season no with Mike D Tony coaching the rockets and having

  • 1:02:18

James Harden play point guard who scores more James Harden or Russell Westbrook Russell

  • 1:02:24

Westbrook who wins MVP Russell Westbrook you got a lot of stalk in the thunder on

  • 1:02:30

no I just think that Russell Westbrook is going to he's playing to me he has always played with a chip on the

  • 1:02:35

shoulder but now he really has a chip on the shoulder I want to shoot Odell Beckham Jr to one you want to shoot him

  • 1:02:41

why why do you want to fight him he won a game for you this Sunday he bowled out too he had a great game see that's the

  • 1:02:48

problem in sports that right is the problem in sports Maul what you're saying because he had 222 yards I'm

  • 1:02:54

supposed to just Overlook all of the other function he does no no you're supposed to wait till next week do you know he's still talking to the net yeah

  • 1:03:02

of course he is it's that that's part of the the thing now it's it's he's turned something that had almost had clown

  • 1:03:08

juice on him he got he had some almost no he no he has clown juice on him yeah but he's trying to flip it I give it

  • 1:03:16

he's do a bad job you don't even see show me anytime his teammates talk to him on a sideline show me one time after

  • 1:03:23

the touchdown uh Eli W up they slap his ass and keep it pushing they don't want to talk to this [ __ ] man that's what he

  • 1:03:29

likes the best Eli yeah yeah let's let's put some attention there huh Eli did an

  • 1:03:34

interview and they're asking him about him under the bus but for Eli Manning somebody who doesn't talk to be publicly

  • 1:03:42

throwing Odell under the bus it says that clearly there might be a locker room issue that we don't know about that's still I think worse of course

  • 1:03:49

Odell is is I want to trade this [ __ ] man I think it's worse on Eli Eli Eli's

  • 1:03:54

behalf to go out there and just speak about his wide receiver like that I think I think Odell we got to remember Odell was this his third year right yes

  • 1:04:02

third year so when do you he's getting worse no no I can't say that though Joe

  • 1:04:07

he oh you're not listening to the post press conference you're not watching I think no no no I think this is what I

  • 1:04:12

think happened I think that Odell was catapulted onto a platform that he wasn't ready for he had to cover of

  • 1:04:19

Madden he became a superstar overnight after that catch his second year this is

  • 1:04:25

all happened in his his second year he became a superstar overnight mhm he's a

  • 1:04:30

a a he's a social media topic of social media almost every other day that's true and he's amazing what he he's great he's

  • 1:04:36

an amazing athlete but I think he in New York he's in he's in a Major Market that's what it is too I think that he's

  • 1:04:42

just whenever you go through something in a Major Market as an athlete it's magnified like if he was doing this

  • 1:04:50

in Cleveland or or Seattle or Houston like I don't think would be this

  • 1:04:56

magnified but I think that people got to understand and just look at it he went through something he said football

  • 1:05:02

wasn't fun he looked like he was having fun to me Sunday and I think that's the important

  • 1:05:08

part for Odell he has to get back to that kid that just loves playing football he better stop cooking let all

  • 1:05:15

this other [ __ ] let all this other [ __ ] go you got to I understand you might not have been ready for the spotlight in

  • 1:05:20

this platform but you got to get back to just playing the game that you love because I think that he's an amazing

  • 1:05:25

amazing NFL play definitely an amazing talent I don't think they the giant should get rid of him no speaking of uh

  • 1:05:31

speaking of men getting paid let's keep it in sports we gotta clap it up for a friend of the show J.R Smith Jr Smith

  • 1:05:37

got paid JR Smith Jr Smith got LeBron gonna get a [ __ ] paid nowon gonna get you paid man LeBron going LeBron is a

  • 1:05:43

good friend to have I ain't going to lie he's a friend of the show LeBron's a friend of the show he needs to be a friend of the show get too no he's not a

  • 1:05:50

friend of the show hey LeBron if you're listening out there call us up 1800a uh you can be a friend of the show y you

  • 1:05:56

got JR Smith paid man what he get 56 over four yeah I think Jr I think Jr low

  • 1:06:02

ball himself though I think he just wanted to stay in Cleveland but I think he definitely could have got more money somewhere else AB no [ __ ] but you're not

  • 1:06:09

going to leave a championship team I don't know if I'm 31 no this is him being in Cleveland has done wonders for

  • 1:06:16

his brand I think remember yes don't do that don't do that we remember him leaving New York after that injury in

  • 1:06:22

the Celtics game he was he wasn't the same play this is why I say that I I don't think I would he was partying

  • 1:06:28

every night he was chasing behind Rihanna we don't hear these stories anymore but here's the thing though he's married now you know so that he might

  • 1:06:35

have that out of his system but my thing is once you get once you get the ring leave n get another one get the

  • 1:06:42

money now no that's my thing no he's always uh stried me as someone who was worried about branding and being next to

  • 1:06:50

LeBron you don't get better branding than that and I don't think there's a paycheck that's invaluable yeah but but

  • 1:06:55

he hasn't really I mean let's just keep it real he got paid congratulations and and congratulations to jarro Smith uh

  • 1:07:02

his wife announced he's expecting another child so congrats congrats on that you got to get paid and then and then shoot the club up yeah but my thing

  • 1:07:09

my my my thing with that is I don't think that see he got paid because you

  • 1:07:14

know LeBron said once LeBron says I want him here you're going to be there you're going to get paid but Jr really hasn't

  • 1:07:20

done anything in Cleveland he played terrible in the playoffs him and Nan they played terrible in the finals and

  • 1:07:28

you still come away with 14 million for the next over the next four years you can't listen let's slow down I got two

  • 1:07:33

two because once you get a ring now you got more star listen though once you get a ring we're losing women listeners by

  • 1:07:39

the second you know you have that in your back pocket now when dog I have R like I don't care what my numbers were I

  • 1:07:44

won I'm a winner I'm a champion I feel bad with Melo and all this it's like

  • 1:07:50

it's like it's like Jr is Kanye and LeBron is Jay and we broke up and now

  • 1:07:55

with Jay succeeding and I I co-signed you first I brought you over yeah but po

  • 1:08:02

melo's D but but Jr I I get why he stayed but me making 25 million don't poor Melo yeah ain't nothing poor about

  • 1:08:10

m still making money too my analogy still works but my thing is I think that Jr definitely should have just went

  • 1:08:15

after the money listen to you I have a ring now what I you just want another

  • 1:08:21

one and another one isn't guaranteed staying in Cleveland the ring is never guaranteed finals are guarantees thing in Cleveland more knock it no no no no

  • 1:08:27

no LeBron has been in the finals the last 17 years since Jordan retired LeBron has been in the finals knock it

  • 1:08:34

off going to be Golden State and Cleveland in the finals there's no I'm saying the ring is not guaranteed oh no the ring they there you might get there

  • 1:08:40

but the ring is not guaranteed all I don't care so get the money about he got the money [ __ ] 54 and going to get he

  • 1:08:47

could have got more than that he could have cracked 70 I think he could have cracked 70 definitely we'll argue at

  • 1:08:53

another time is any is is there anything good coming this weekend is there anything this week happening that I should be aware of uh your album's

  • 1:09:00

coming out well no [ __ ] oh the uh your album congrats on on Joe you know hey

  • 1:09:43

every time you I wouldn't want some nice [ __ ] uh podcast fan to show up outside and it's sold out it's like a humble brag every time he brings it up

  • 1:09:50

and says it's sold out if it can't buy tickets then [ __ ] are you talking about tickets are still available for Houston which is next Saturday there we go from

  • 1:10:53

viability I mean compared to I can only compare it to your last album which you barely promoted so yeah there been great

  • 1:10:59

everything about that how that last album went out was just bad which which sucks because that album's great good

  • 1:11:04

album it's a great [ __ ] album but I think that my my vision for it

  • 1:11:10

artistically because it wasn't able to be carried out the whole way through so just it's just a good album this one

  • 1:11:17

from the inside from the inside it looks like you're you're happy and excited about this album All of lost I think you

  • 1:11:22

Kaiser like last week and saying yo hit Jay tell him I need a verse hit Jay tell

  • 1:13:24

him I need a yeah I'd like to see the reaction from kaer I think Jay knows that we we going

  • 1:13:30

to rap together before we die I think it's going to happen it is going to happen yeah I believe that I could see

  • 1:13:35

that happen me and it's going to happen I don't know if that you can say I'm crazy you can say I'm speaking it into

  • 1:13:40

existence I've always said that I think Jay is a closet Jo button fan he'll never [ __ ] admit it no I think he

  • 1:13:46

will actually think he would yeah I think he would admit it I think he would you got to get some clown hope I'm still

  • 1:13:52

nice when it happens yeah that would be the bad part if all of a sudden you try to just write and be like n he better

  • 1:13:57

still be nice when it happened hey talk your Joe hey see and this is why you end

  • 1:14:03

up situ I wonder why we end up in the situation no see I feel like MC's

  • 1:14:09

perspective cuz they come from like MC's not from today I feel like they respect it yo Kendrick that's not why he's so

  • 1:14:14

amazing he in that control verse really just said how every MC should feel he

  • 1:14:22

said it politely yeah even though people still got offended yeah but what he what

  • 1:14:27

he said he was but what he said there was really nothing wrong with what I want to kill all y'all yeah we friends I

  • 1:14:33

want to kill y'all yeah there nothing wrong I want to kill people yeah but anyway I I thought I had a special treat

  • 1:14:39

coming before my album dropped but uh Banks is in Dubai kiss is in La somewhere I don't know where all these

  • 1:14:46

people are but I but at some point I got a treat coming and boy it's going to be nice what hit

  • 1:14:52

Jay what would I even rap what would a Jay and Joe Button song even be about

  • 1:14:58

how would that even sound to be honest if you don't diss them you're kind of a [ __ ] why would I diss Jay or on the song

  • 1:15:04

you no I wouldn't do that what LL LL cannabis no I would never do something

  • 1:15:09

like that f um all right so I don't think we're missing anything else that happen any album's coming out next week any album's coming out this week uh

  • 1:22:07

podcast where we just are placing clown juice on somebody because so many of you just like us were so intrigued by this

  • 1:22:14

terminology and it's so accurate and so many people every week have clown juice on them I don't think I'm exempt from

  • 1:22:20

that uh did I do anything clownish this week nah just existed no I I would have heard about it shut the [ __ ] up more I

loved uh division's part on faithful so much that that on my DJ app I cut it I I

  • 1:22:49

cut it to just be his part because it's really a totally different song at that point um and as soon as I cut it and
