but three gas stations in New York. So that little 14th in the West Side Highway on a late night 4 in the morning

It was short and sweet. It was uh very punctual. Ice was there for Earth Gang that opened up. He said they're great.

I'm mad I missed it. Earth Gang was actually was fire. I wasn't familiar. They rocked the crowd. Um had me wanting

to get myself more familiar with their music. You should. You should. You'll like it. You'll like it. They're fire. They were absolutely fire. Very

surprised. When Clips came out, they did most of the album and they did, you know, their slaps outside of that. But it did uh 10

out of the 14 songs on a new album and then sprinkled in some clips hits. Um it

was dope to me, excuse me, because no push of T solo records. They strictly

kept it a clip show which I thought was dope. You know what I mean? I'm not taking the spotlight off of us as a

group. You're getting all clips. And the fans in there, bro, they packed that place out.

That [ __ ] was packed. Three levels. It was packed. We couldn't move through there. We couldn't get out for like 40 minutes

maybe or something like that. Yeah, just the line getting out. It was crazy. Crazy pandemonium.

I would have liked the show to be a little bit longer, but I'm also not mad at being short and concise. If we hadn't been birds, it would have been nice to

home, you know, a nice a nice time on a Thursday, but kak. How long was the secret performance at

and me packing? Was it about five, six record? Something like that. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Nice. Also packed up there.

the Soul Train Awards and the BET Hip Hop Awards. Mhm. They gave a reason.

Well, I got an article from uh USA Today. BET has uh reportedly suspended Soul Train and Hip Hop Awards. Um and

they said, "So for BET Linear, we have suspended C um Soul Train and Hip Hop Awards." Says the CEO, according to the

outlet, he says, "We have a team that's actively thinking about where these award shows might best live as the media

climate continues to evolve. They aren't gone." But I don't know. All that sound like is we not spending

money putting this [ __ ] on TV no more. Profitable. Yeah, we losing money. So, we're going to find a streaming app.

We do it on our stream on our BET Plus app or something like that. And still got to put the people in the seats

and all that other [ __ ] to make the award show happen before it loses it luster. Yeah. Well, that one the co one was fire

that didn't have no nobody in no seats. I don't think they will go that route again. But but it was co.

Yeah. You get what I'm saying? So, it was justifiable because it was co and you were able to retain viewer viewership cuz everybody was home.

That's true. That's true. So that's why, you know, it was good during co man once [ __ ] stopped rapping and

freestyling for real cuz the ciphers was a big part of the BET hip hop awards.

So now if we don't got the ciphers, we don't really care about the awards. That's and that's where your viewership dropped at.

I think that's valid. But they stopped the Soul Train Awards, too. Mhm. So it wasn't a rap cipher for the

hip-hop. No, I'm just saying. I just think that the [ __ ] ain't profitable no more and they might not be able to get all the

sponsorship and all of that [ __ ] to make% as a direct result of that [ __ ]

Yeah. All that ties in the viewership. Mhm. Just what attracted you to the hip hop awards was that and there could have been something that was attracting folk

to the Soul Train Awards. Either way, people are not watching. I mean, you could tell the rain's been on the wall just by the way that they've

been advertising for the past however many years with every single segment being a Doritos or Dove or whatever.

That shows that the show itself was not particularly profitable. Yo, let me ask you. Doritos and dub,

yes, they had like every ad break, everything was presented by every award

was presented by an advertiser. You don't really see that at award shows particularly and certainly not even them

historically until the last couple years. So that says in itself that this maybe

isn't the most profitable thing in the world. Let me let me ask you and you you do you think that cuz the Soul Train

Awards BET Awards again they're geared toward us, right? So

is it a possibility or a tiein because they can't get the premium A1X to come to the awards period as opposed to going

to the Grammys? Like if Beyonce coming to the Grammys or if if if Meg is coming to the Grammys and Lady Gaga coming to

the Grammys, they market that. Yeah. M so not necessarily going to have that people sitting in the front rows

the bread from the sponsors to even carry on award show.

Yeah, that's probably part of it. Do do people get paid for these performances? No, I don't at all. No.

No, they don't. Okay. I was just wondering cuz I'm like that that could also tie in. But if that's I think they play a part.

What? Because they can't get Beyonce. They can't get I think all of it plays a part. You know what I'm saying? like it every

everything being said, everything that y'all are saying plays a part in it, right? Uh this is new ownership.

Stockton announced an investigation. It's all about the use of $50,000 in the city's risk mitigation fund. The money

was used in connection to a recent wild andout event allegedly without the city manager's approval or knowledge. The

city is now investigating exactly how that money was authorized and who was involved. So stay with ABC 10 for

updates. ABC 10, you ain't help with [ __ ] just now, [ __ ] [ __ ] Stockton. ABC 10 has obtained emails

indicating the city of Stockton the Adventist Health Arena $50,000. It was all in order to avoid cancing a

show the vice mayor performed in. ABC 10's Gabriel Forest has the latest from Stockton.

That's right. We got those emails late this afternoon painting a picture of the latest controversy to grip Stockton City

Hall. Those emails are between staff members here at city hall and officials with the organization that operates the

Adventist Health Arena just about a block away. In the emails, arena officials warned city staff members that

the promoters of the comedy show Wild and Out were considering cancelling their May event due to low ticket sales.

This was just a day before the show was set to happen at the arena. The promoter asked the arena for $150,000 in support

to keep the show going on, but the arena could only find $100,000. An arena official then asked city hall

for the extra $50,000, saying that a cancellation could deter future arena events and that it could hurt the city's

economy with at least 10 other events already having been cancelled this year. The city's economic development director

found the money in the city's risk mitigation fund and offered it up. The particular event at the arena involved

the vice mayor, Jason Lee, who said he helped bring it to Stockton. Some of this controversy was brought up about

Jason meeting tonight here at city hall. Take a listen. This really whole week has been about a

political witch hunt to prove somehow that the vice mayor conspired with city staff to go in the the bank accounts to

give $50,000 to a brand that lost $170,000 on top of the $50,000 in an

approved fund that they have used in the past. We
