- 5:04
the beginning and the end. We're 448. Come on. Let's get back to what we was talking about cuz what we just talking
- 5:09

That's what they put on. You're right. You're right. A little bit. What you got going on?
- 6:02
I love it. You know, it's like what is this called? Summer dress season. It's winding. It's winding down. I didn't
- 6:08
fold it up. Summer dress. What do you call it? Summer dwindling down. Oh, you trying to go to the
- 6:13
laundry room.
- 6:18
She trying to hit that washing fold. What you doing? You don't never come to work like this, girl. You look nice.
- 6:24
We ain't got no guest today. And I'm not hyperfocusing on you. So, wait. I never I don't look nice. You don't typically come to work with
- 6:32
this look. Yeah, you doing Don't try to trick me. So, you coming to work looking like
- 6:37
forget it. Damn. I'm Stop. You look like Oh, yeah. But you've been on a run with your little internet stuff. Now I remember what's going on. But you just
- 6:44

- 6:50
All right, here we go. You got photo shoot after? No. I just I just got back last night
- 6:55
from you outside. One of my cousins subscribed. There you go.
- 7:02
Wait, I can't say that. No, you keep it on little Missy.
- 7:07
Three or five minutes. I'm in bad. Hey y'all, I don't know what's going on
- 7:14
cuz you my girl, but my cousin. They know.
- 7:19
Leave me alone. And they telling me, "Leave me alone." All right, forget it. Leave me alone.
- 7:29
The Wonder Woman banger. Okay, ma'am. You don't want your headphones or you might mess up your
- 7:34
audience. Thank god Flip is here with us today. Flip almost died this week. What happened to Flip?
- 7:42
You want to tell us the story or we wait? Flip. Flip almost wasn't here with us, y'all.
- 7:48
Are you crazy? That's not what happened. You talking about fire die or you talking about No.
- 7:54
Oh, I Oh, yo, when I left here, you know, I hopped on my spaces
- 7:59
and you hopped on my space. No, my spaces. Yeah. My flip the network spaces. I want I don't even want I want
- 8:06
to I want to go. I want to go. Let me do it. Let me tell him. Yeah.
- 8:12
But say it right though. Y'all know how hard we worked the other day, right? We did. Yes.
- 8:17
That was That was the hardest I worked. That was crazy. I tried to not work that hard. No. And and respect. You tried to get us
- 8:23
out of that last one. You did. You did. You did. That was a crazy day of work, but the
- 8:30
gig is a gig. Yeah. Got it done. I'll suffer the consequences later or or reap the
- 8:36
rewards. All the guests were great though. That that was what made it. But that was a long day. That doesn't typically happen. 11 to 11.
- 8:42
Yeah. Like but damn man, when I left, I'm like, man, the fans are really going to enjoy
- 8:49
these as they pop up. So I got in bed, I called my girl.
- 8:55
Oh man, baby, long day today. Tired. Oh my god. This gu is yada yada
- 9:01
yada. By the time I got three minutes into the story, the JBP community said,
- 9:08
"Breaking news, the podcast had a hood, Tiana Taylor,
- 9:14
J and uh and Offset." Nah, you ain't do that, dog.
- 9:21
What? I did. Why? 10 minutes later, 20 minutes.
- 9:26
So, 20 minutes later, I had to get the crust out my eyes. Look again. And I thought it was AI
- 9:34
then and then it was a real [ __ ] said breaking news. They started adding people all this duck I ate.
- 9:42
So I sent it to Flip and said you think this was wise. Are you crazy?
- 9:48
Honestly, that was a different the next text. Honestly, I didn't see it cuz I was on spaces
- 9:54
still. So thank God he's here. Then he called me. Listen. Yo, it's a
- 10:01
simple mistake. I don't cloud tra mistake. I was I was hopped on spaces leaving the building. TK came downstairs
- 10:08
was talking to me. Yo, hey, hold on. Boom. Had the conversation outside and then I was just excited like we had a
- 10:14
long day and I was talk. I thought I was talking to my peoples only, but I was out of line. It wouldn't happen again.
- 10:19
Don't say [ __ ] like that. No, you did. But that's what I did. Oh, your your people. Why would you do that? You But what I'm saying is that you know me.
- 10:25
I try to I know. The funniest part about it. I don't want to sound crazy. I be in flip spaces in the anoms.
- 10:32
Yeah. Just recently, me and my girl heard him say, "Yeah, y'all. Man, I got some
- 10:39
amazing stuff planned for this camping trip, but I'm not going to share right this second. I'm not I'm not going to share right this second for y'all. I'm
- 10:44
going to keep it. I'm going to keep it a smack out of y." But no, you right. You
- 10:51
got me. You checked me. I got checked. But I You know, you know what's so crazy? Wait, hold on. Even if I was wrong, I felt the way how this [ __ ]
- 10:58
checked me. Something is wrong with me. I'm like, why this [ __ ] calling me like that? Who you think you are? And you
- 11:03
know I'm not no that's going to chase. A lot of times I try to keep it separate. So you should know it had to be a honest
- 11:09
mistake. It wasn't like, yo, hey, it was just a mistake. It flowed into that and I was excited like yo [ __ ] working
- 11:14
hard. I just met some the J. That's what I'm saying cuz they heard Tiana in the background and I muted it. So that's
- 11:21
what that's it just happened like that. But I next time see in my 30s. Honest mistake.
- 11:26
Hey man, go ahead. Let's peep. Yeah. 40s. 45 and up. You right. You got it.
- 11:32
Getting to the end of the road. Honest mistake. So say
- 11:38
what's that mean? I'm going do better. Honest mistake. I'mma do better. Don't call my phone
- 11:44
like that. Stop looking. Prepare better. So we not making honest. Honest. You know what I'm saying to me? You know
- 11:50
your man say that to me? Oh my god. Pardon me. Anyway, we got a great show lined up for y'all today.
- 11:57
Yes, sir. What's up? How y'all feeling? Y'all feeling good? Feeling great.
- 12:03

- 12:12
Let's get this together right quick. So happy to be here with everyone.
- 12:18
Oh man, God is good all the time and all the time. No, daddy.
- 12:23

- 13:04

- 13:11
the building. Let's go, man. Sorry. Hey. Hey. What's bothering? You really
- 13:17
not going to wear headphones for real? No. Wow. She's trying to look got a play eyebrows looking like
- 13:22
something. She speaks to people through like the seat. Mel has a play after this for sure.
- 13:28
For sure. She may literally be going to a play. Yeah. All right. All right. Well, we love that for Mel. Next to her, Queen
- 13:35
Flint Queens get the money in the building. Happy to be here. Next to him, Ish is here. King Wa
- 13:41
himself. Next to him, Big Freeze. Ice is in the building. Parks is in the building. Po is here. Cory is here.
- 13:47
Erikson is here. Savon and Tana are here by remote last, but certainly certainly not least, each and every one of you
- 13:52
guys are here. Welcome to the new listeners. Shout out to all the women out there. This episode is brought to
- 13:57
you by Fueled by powered by Prize Pix. Prize Pix Gang. What's up? How's everybody doing, man?
- 14:03
What's popping? What's good? What's popping? What's popping? What's popping though, man? Feeling great. It's the weekend. Me and Ice were out being birds last
- 14:09
night. Hey. Hey. Let me know. Sorry. Well, I mean, he be a
- 14:14
Well, he he just be a bird. Shout out to E. What y'all did? Uh, we went to the clip show. We went to
- 14:20
the clip show at T5 and then which was great. By the way, we'll get into the concert review. And then we went to the
- 14:26
after spot for a couple drinks, go home after that was the plan. But then we found out that they're doing a little
- 14:32
Get out of here. Y'all don't norally strike me as the Afties crew. I know, right? Yeah. No. All right. And then they said
- 14:38
the clips are doing a secret special event at another spot. So
- 14:43
we went there. Meat packing. All right. Hey,
- 14:49
it's all right. If you end up in the meat packing district, to those that don't know, a time is time is being had.
- 14:56
A time is being had if you're into meat packing. Yeah. But the clip show was fire. You got to hit that little gas station
- 15:02
right there and get some condos back in the day. That little gas station. It ain't but n he's got what kind of he say what
- 15:10
ketchup 14th. I'm not talking about y'all. I'm talking about back in the day when when Lotus and all that was rocking. It ain't
- 15:16
but three gas stations in New York. So that little 14th in the West Side Highway on a late night 4 in the morning
- 15:24
back when [ __ ] wore condoms. [ __ ] that [ __ ] was clutch. You might
- 15:30
die, but what choice you got? All right, back to y'all. Uh yeah, so we went and saw the clip show. It was It was great.
- 15:36
It was short and sweet. It was uh very punctual. Ice was there for Earth Gang that opened up. He said they're great.
- 15:41
I'm mad I missed it. Earth Gang was actually was fire. I wasn't familiar. They rocked the crowd. Um had me wanting
- 15:48
to get myself more familiar with their music. You should. You should. You'll like it. You'll like it. They're fire. They were absolutely fire. Very
- 15:54
surprised. When Clips came out, they did most of the album and they did, you know, their slaps outside of that. But it did uh 10
- 16:00
out of the 14 songs on a new album and then sprinkled in some clips hits. Um it
- 16:06
was dope to me, excuse me, because no push of T solo records. They strictly
- 16:13
kept it a clip show which I thought was dope. You know what I mean? I'm not taking the spotlight off of us as a
- 16:18
group. You're getting all clips. And the fans in there, bro, they packed that place out.
- 16:23
That [ __ ] was packed. Three levels. It was packed. We couldn't move through there. We couldn't get out for like 40 minutes
- 16:29
maybe or something like that. Yeah, just the line getting out. It was crazy. Crazy pandemonium.
- 16:35
I would have liked the show to be a little bit longer, but I'm also not mad at being short and concise. If we hadn't been birds, it would have been nice to
- 16:40
home, you know, a nice a nice time on a Thursday, but kak. How long was the secret performance at
- 16:47
and me packing? Was it about five, six record? Something like that. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Nice. Also packed up there.
- 16:52
Also, yeah, jam-packed again. I'm shocked that they had it there. That's why.
- 16:57
Yeah. Yeah. Cuz that crowd ain't typically the Oh, they do some hip-hop [ __ ] up there.
- 17:03
They do from time to time. I've been to a bunch of Oh, no. They do. And they do they do they do their uh
- 17:08
summertime concert series, the pop-ups. You never know who's coming. And it be a lot of rappers, hip-hop DJs. They They
- 17:15
do that out there. Yeah, they do that out there. Mhm. It's fire. Yeah. It was a great time though. That was one of the best concert reviews
- 17:21
I've ever heard. Ser. No, seriously.
- 17:27
Can't help it. [ __ ] they can't help it. Honestly, I thought you don't agree.
- 17:32
Where did you go? I was going to go. I was going to go, but uh in preparation for the work day
- 17:38
the next day. People in my life aren't punctual. So, somebody was supposed to meet me at 6:30, which turned into 7:45.
- 17:47
And then I had to meet with them and sit. What the hell?
- 17:54
What the Yo, that's your tone. Yeah, [ __ ] What is that frying chicken? Are you dumb?
- 18:01
Sound like a chicken frying. Follow me, my [ __ ]
- 18:06
It asks, "Are you dumb?" It wasn't that wasn't intentional. The way you was talking, it did that,
- 18:12
bro. It was a good question. It is.
- 18:18
It's fitting. It's fitting. Anyway, after that, I ran I ran late. I ran I ran late, so I wouldn't have made it.
- 18:25
Then I wasn't in the mood. And then I looked at their stories and saw what was happening and was thanking God, Screen
- 18:31
Earth, that I didn't make it. T5 is a is a bad layout for a concert that's that packed.
- 18:37
Yeah. Even with the little VIP balcony, it it didn't matter. If I if I come to a show,
- 18:43
I realize it. If if I'm coming to a show, I need to be damn near be on your rider. I would like to see it.
- 18:48
Yeah, it's a thing. Yeah. Like even though like most places have the projector [ __ ] like we had a TV like
- 18:53
Metals and [ __ ] like this [ __ ] was Oh [ __ ] A little [ __ ] This [ __ ] was a 26 in.
- 18:59
If I come out to the show, I want the ability to walk backstage and grab a little some Minute Made or some [ __ ]
- 19:05
I don't want to just be out here with [ __ ] Facts. Like at some point when it's time for a break, I want to be able to go in
- 19:11
one of these other rooms. And for the most part, it'd be like that. Yeah. You They couldn't get out for 40
- 19:17
minutes. I might be exaggerating, but it was a long time. 22 minutes. He would have been in that [ __ ] pulling his hair out.
- 19:24
I wouldn't have been in that. I wouldn't have That wouldn't have You would have did some ignorance, you know? Yeah. In and out. But Well, we tried to be on some James Bond
- 19:30
[ __ ] and get out, but then someone was [ __ ] and didn't. I I'll refrain from who?
- 19:35
They [ __ ] it You [ __ ] it up. You two are here. The only other name that's been in this Listen, there's people around.
- 19:41
We had We had We had a great time at the show. Shout out to the clips. Who else was there? Y'all see anybody? Uh, come on. Give me the feeling in the
- 19:47
room. Give me the vibe. What type of girls was there? Yeah. Come on. Give me Give me something.
- 19:53
Who saw Mark? He's talking about Maro. He didn't really like me. Big Maro.
- 19:58
He didn't like that whole bunny [ __ ] you was talking. What? What' he say? He said, "No, I got my [ __ ] back." I
- 20:04
don't know. It was loud neck. I couldn't hear all the [ __ ] He was talking, but he made it a point. I've never spoken in the mirror in my life. He made it a
- 20:09
point to pull me aside and said, "I was laughing with y'all until y'all started saying that [ __ ]
- 20:14
and he didn't like that shit." I don't know what part he was mad at. You could have You could have text me and told me. Well, that that's what he kept telling me. He was like, "Yo, ain't no Why is it
- 20:21
ain't no beef? I don't have no beef with Joe." Mar, I love him. He was like, "We got each other numbers. Like, I ain't got no beef."
- 20:27
Yeah, but then make it sound like that. And he was like, "Make make it sound like that. It ain't
- 20:33
no beef. That's my man. But any of my mans that sit on these cameras, make it
- 20:38
sound like what it is. And he was like, "Right, when it's time to big Joe up, I don't want to hear nothing about Joe got
- 20:44
punched in the face and 09." Like, that ain't that ain't my type of big up, [ __ ] I like that. I don't let that either.
- 20:50
And also, you should be able to fact check your homie. You have not done this independently. That ain't no beef to
- 20:56
what you know. You one of them [ __ ] And I love Melo. Merryill gave me the hat hookup when Carmemelllo was playing
- 21:01
like Yeah. Well, shout out Deo. But but he said he was like, "Yo, I was I was bigging Joe up."
- 21:07
Nah, it need to sound like that. It need to sound like that. It It didn't sound like that to everyone. That's all
- 21:13
I'm saying. Make it sound like a big up to all ears listening. It should be no confusion is all I'm saying. Don't Don't
- 21:19
trick me with none of that [ __ ] I'm biging him up. But he got punched in the face in 09 and I did the same [ __ ] he did back in the day. Like, [ __ ] what?
- 21:26
Agree. We all that's like the Tyler Perry big up that I asked uh uh Kev on stage about. Hey,
- 21:34
how do you feel about Tyler Perry saying, "Yeah, what Ryan Ryan is doing is great. I taught him everything he
- 21:40
knows and I did that 30 years ago." But wait, that ain't the time right now for
- 21:45
that. [ __ ] I will say their visuals too at the show
- 21:51
were fire. They had like Oh man, big projectors with just random [ __ ] '9s [ __ ] and
- 21:56
yo. Oh yeah, this review is heating up now. B birds don't sing live while Push is rapping a verse. It's
- 22:04
just nothing but pictures of their mom on the screen. Yeah. And then when Flip M was pictures of Pops and then them like
- 22:11
you think you ready? That one hit you. Even if you have your parents still, it hit you. So you It hit you.
- 22:17
It hit everybody in there. But did it hit you? But it hit everybody in there. No, I'm just But it hit everybody though. But
- 22:25
why is it so difficult to for to say that it hit me? No, it hit everybody. Why you can't say that?
- 22:30
Y'all notice that? I said it hit everybody. Now, at one point did he say it hit me? I said it hit everybody.
- 22:36
It did hit everybody. But what about you? How did it make you feel? How did it hit you though? Every sad cuz you tweeted.
- 22:42
It's okay to say you were sad. I tell you the song makes you sad. Like it make you sad, but seeing that that
- 22:47
way it's like damn.
- 22:52
Damn. It was a great show. It was up here. Did they perform just this album or they did uh they did hits Godamn and uh
- 22:59
Grinding and Mr. Me too Too don't I know I'm going to bring my glasses
- 23:06
curse me out. Don't I'm going to start leaving my glasses. She going to curse me. Stop talking over me. Mel,
- 23:13
I just asked I just asked a question that you tight now. Look, I know I question was asked and it was
- 23:18
being answered until you started [ __ ] see. Go ahead. No, they did 10 out of 14 songs on the
- 23:26
new album. And he said, "All right, yo, thank y'all for your review." Yo yo,
- 23:32
make some noise. [Applause]
- 23:37
Yo, have a good time. We had a blast. We had a blast. We had a blast. Weekend at Bernie, [ __ ]
- 23:43
We had a blast. I'm sorry. I'm coming here jumping around and yelling like I don't do that.
- 23:50
He shot at us. It's not a shot. shot. Okay. I'm sorry, Bri. Everybody's their own. No, if you took
- 23:56
it that way, that's on you. But I wasn't shooting. I don't shoot. I don't even bring my gun. My gun in the car.
- 24:03
I love you. Yo. Well, thank you guys. Shout out to
- 24:09
What's up, man? Good day, sir. What's up with you? How are you? I couldn't be better. I couldn't be
- 24:15
better. Glad for the weekend. Cool. I don't have too many weekend plans. I'm getting ready for a family reunion next
- 24:20
week. Lelo. Yeah. Where is Oh [ __ ] And then Chris Brown.
- 24:28
What's that next week? Chris Brown. Chris Breezy on Wednesday. Met life. Let's go. Happy belated
- 24:35
Munchie. Happy birthday Munchie. Big M. Yeah. We going to Met Life. Yes sir.
- 24:40
Yep. And I like walking backstage at those cuz he be having all the dances. That little ballhead little thick dancer
- 24:47
that's on the cover. They all met life.
- 24:52
in there. In there like swimwear. My baby coming. Let's go, babe. He got a nice three or four on.
- 24:59
I'm excited about the Chris Brown. He has great music, too. At Metife. I know. You want to go? You in there
- 25:05
to the show? Yeah. No, I don't. Really? It's your family. Avoid his cousin at all cost, boy.
- 25:11
You want to introduce you to your cousin? We want to introduce you toast
- 25:19
with you. Yo, at least give a [ __ ] a hug. That's your family. You're too proud, [ __ ] Ain't too proud to be
- 25:25
What does pride have to do with not going to a show? Cuz you don't want to go backstage and meet your family.
- 25:30
I went to Chris Brown show last year. Did you go backstage? No. This guy is crazy. What's wrong with
- 25:37
you, man? We We saying we could bring you backstage. I'm cool.
- 25:42
Oh [ __ ] All right. Oh, you was alone.
- 25:47
No, that's a different style. Oh, yo, you stupid. Okay, so where So, where would y'all like to begin today?
- 25:53
What What is of most importance up there? A lot of new music came out.
- 25:59
We'll get to it. It did. New Gunner, New J, New Everybody. It's mad. New music. We'll get to all of it
- 26:05
at some point, I'm sure. Uh, but we can start with BET suspending
- 26:13
the Soul Train Awards and the BET Hip Hop Awards. Mhm. They gave a reason.
- 26:19
Well, I got an article from uh USA Today. BET has uh reportedly suspended Soul Train and Hip Hop Awards. Um and
- 26:26
they said, "So for BET Linear, we have suspended C um Soul Train and Hip Hop Awards." Says the CEO, according to the
- 26:33
outlet, he says, "We have a team that's actively thinking about where these award shows might best live as the media
- 26:39
climate continues to evolve. They aren't gone." But I don't know. All that sound like is we not spending
- 26:44
money putting this [ __ ] on TV no more. Profitable. Yeah, we losing money. So, we're going to find a streaming app.
- 26:50
We do it on our stream on our BET Plus app or something like that. And still got to put the people in the seats
- 26:56
and all that other [ __ ] to make the award show happen before it loses it luster. Yeah. Well, that one the co one was fire
- 27:03
that didn't have no nobody in no seats. I don't think they will go that route again. But but it was co.
- 27:08
Yeah. You get what I'm saying? So, it was justifiable because it was co and you were able to retain viewer viewership cuz everybody was home.
- 27:14
That's true. That's true. So that's why, you know, it was good during co man once [ __ ] stopped rapping and
- 27:21
freestyling for real cuz the ciphers was a big part of the BET hip hop awards.
- 27:26
So now if we don't got the ciphers, we don't really care about the awards. That's and that's where your viewership dropped at.
- 27:32
I think that's valid. But they stopped the Soul Train Awards, too. Mhm. So it wasn't a rap cipher for the
- 27:38
hip-hop. No, I'm just saying. I just think that the [ __ ] ain't profitable no more and they might not be able to get all the
- 27:43
sponsorship and all of that [ __ ] to make% as a direct result of that [ __ ]
- 27:48
Yeah. All that ties in the viewership. Mhm. Just what attracted you to the hip hop awards was that and there could have been something that was attracting folk
- 27:55
to the Soul Train Awards. Either way, people are not watching. I mean, you could tell the rain's been on the wall just by the way that they've
- 28:01
been advertising for the past however many years with every single segment being a Doritos or Dove or whatever.
- 28:08
That shows that the show itself was not particularly profitable. Yo, let me ask you. Doritos and dub,
- 28:13
yes, they had like every ad break, everything was presented by every award
- 28:19
was presented by an advertiser. You don't really see that at award shows particularly and certainly not even them
- 28:25
historically until the last couple years. So that says in itself that this maybe
- 28:30
isn't the most profitable thing in the world. Let me let me ask you and you you do you think that cuz the Soul Train
- 28:36
Awards BET Awards again they're geared toward us, right? So
- 28:42
is it a possibility or a tiein because they can't get the premium A1X to come to the awards period as opposed to going
- 28:49
to the Grammys? Like if Beyonce coming to the Grammys or if if if Meg is coming to the Grammys and Lady Gaga coming to
- 28:56
the Grammys, they market that. Yeah. M so not necessarily going to have that people sitting in the front rows
- 29:03
the bread from the sponsors to even carry on award show.
- 29:09
Yeah, that's probably part of it. Do do people get paid for these performances? No, I don't at all. No.
- 29:14
No, they don't. Okay. I was just wondering cuz I'm like that that could also tie in. But if that's I think they play a part.
- 29:21
What? Because they can't get Beyonce. They can't get I think all of it plays a part. You know what I'm saying? like it every
- 29:26
everything being said, everything that y'all are saying plays a part in it, right? Uh this is new ownership.
- 29:35
Oh yeah, this is this is Viacom and it's a different game now. This it's not
- 29:42
it's not Bob Lee. So new ownership come in and do what new ownership does, which is
- 29:49
remove the people that care. Yeah. And that part has been evident since
- 29:54
they they took P off the ciphers ages ago. Yeah. Nobody that cares.
- 30:00
What did that would take P off the ciphers, but but real quick with that again,
- 30:07
I remember I think it was Yachty or somebody on the radio when he was asking about a P beat. The newer rappers ain't
- 30:14
rocking with that. Ice. I absolutely hate when you do that, fam. If the ciphers, we talking about
- 30:20
just the ciphers and they not really rapping like that at the ciphers. You're not getting the rap
- 30:27
like they tried the father and son thing a couple years ago. It ain't enough
- 30:32
that they could market that people really care about to put in the ciphers. What the the the the popular the the hot
- 30:38
rappers at the moment. I I'm just talking about the fabric of a hip-hop award show. No, I'm with you. I'm just It wasn't a
- 30:46
pre beat. It was It was just It's just a break beat. Yeah, they can't rap over break beats though.
- 30:52
I'm only talking about P standing there. Go ahead. All I'm talking
- 30:59
and I will say that there are plenty of people that can rap. They just for whatever reason have stopped making that
- 31:04
look away. It's probably partially because P not being there. Well, P not not being there says we
- 31:09
losing money. We don't got the money. We don't have the money to pay him. But then they did that [ __ ] where now to
- 31:15
ISIS point they start putting these new [ __ ] on the internet. They start splitting it up. Hey, we going to have
- 31:21
some of y'all on TV and we going to have some of y'all on YouTube.
- 31:27
That let you know that this wasn't going well. Fat Joe hosting the last nine years in a row let you know that this
- 31:33
wasn't there was signs all over the place that this wasn't going well. I don't know about them saying them
- 31:40
saying we're taking this off BT linear. So where you putting this? That says to
- 31:45
me that if it come back, you putting this on app. Yep. Yeah. So you don't trust us for
- 31:50
television because you can't make money off it, but you trust us for the app
- 31:56
where you make money off. Yeah. But we we we don't have to spend as much money to put a product app only
- 32:05
versus spending all the money to make it TV ready and all of that other stuff. None of the people that were coming to the award show care about the business
- 32:13
of an award show. No, we coming because this music, it's
- 32:18
awards. We're musicians. You're highlighting us. It's visibility. Maybe this will help with our album. Nobody
- 32:25
cares about the business side. Except except for the new Except for the new owners that bought this business.
- 32:31
I know. So th those people need to go hire some people, some advisors, some
- 32:36
consultants, and some people that actually know how to turn around their failing uh ideology and get it done.
- 32:43
That has nothing to do with me, us, the rappers, the singers, the labels. It
- 32:50
don't. That's on them. What if What if in order to turn it around, you have to spend more money?
- 32:55
But what if spending more money you you'll be going in order to turn it around? In order to turn it around, you got to cut the
- 33:00
record labels in. Yeah. In order to turn it around, you got to cut the record labels in. The Grammys ain't going nowhere, whether it's a
- 33:07
dollar or not. That's true. So, if you're not willing to do some of these things Viacom or whoever is in
- 33:13
charge over there, then what the what are we talking about? We we coming from the love and the creative side. So,
- 33:19
but I also think that if they're not on that, Go ahead. I was going to say I think that another factor here is the
- 33:25
consideration of the prestigiousness of the award. Like the perception like I'm thinking Soul Train. I'm like I
- 33:31
cannot remember the last time I was invested in watching a Soul Train music award show honestly and it's
- 33:38
well that's your they've been good. Yeah. No, I mean they have been good
- 33:43
prestige of winning a soul train award you said the Grammys the Grammys is
- 33:48
never going to lose the lesser. It's seen as like the top of the food chain in terms of awards to be, you know, won
- 33:55
when you are a musician. But when you think about a soul train music award, like what's it's it's lost its luster.
- 34:01
Whose fault is that though? A myriad of different factors. But I think I think that this is just the
- 34:08
arrival point. I think it's the artist fault. I think the artist uh don't value it. Don't value it. Yeah. I remember Michael Jackson at the
- 34:14
American Music Awards with the with the trophy stacked up, him and Webster. People thought that [ __ ] was something.
- 34:20
[ __ ] value those awards. Those awards to Mel's point don't carry the same. Uh,
- 34:25
[ __ ] I got 20 American Music Awards. They were like, so how many grams you got?
- 34:31
All right. If the value on your house just start depreciating, then that's your job. Whose job is it to to fix your
- 34:37
house? You got to fix it. You got to find a way to fix it and bring it back. It's nobody It's nobody's job, but there's to fix this. And it's not just
- 34:44
happening here, right? I thought about this the other day. more conversation is flowing around is it important to win a
- 34:53
uh NBA title or not. You hear more and more players saying today more than I've ever heard saying
- 35:00
I'm choosing the money. I'm choosing the money. I'm choosing the money. I'm choosing the money. You hear more players that didn't win a win a ring
- 35:06
regarded by the upand cominging generation as them dudes whether you got a ring or not. The perception is
- 35:12
changing on that. M the playoffs and the finals and all of them the TV schedule is so different
- 35:19
than it was for us growing up. Facts like it's nuts. So if the NBA is putting
- 35:26
more emphasis on ad dollars and where we can put this and
- 35:32
rightfully so maybe they should. What comes with that is we're not going
- 35:37
to view that thing you wanted us to view which is the trophy the same as before. like don't you be concerned about the
- 35:43
money and then trick us to not to uh not being concerned about it. And and that's what a lot of
- 35:50
uh Jay-Z says, I don't know the line. I'm trying to remember the line, but he be
- 35:55
like, "Yo, we don't give a [ __ ] about your awards. Like, your Grammys, y'all tricked us, making us think that this was the pinnacle why y'all robbing us
- 36:02
below like, yo, but you got six Grammys. You might be broke, but you got some Grammys." You know what I'm saying? It don't have the same oomph. to your NBA
- 36:08
point. Your NBA point is great. When [ __ ] cared about championships, the money wasn't the same. Now you like,
- 36:15
"Yo, dog, you want a ring and you make three mil? Cool. A ring or 50 mil? [ __ ] that ring. Give
- 36:22
me my 50 mil." It's a different It's, you know what I'm saying? It was still their job as the people who contrived
- 36:29
this layout to lead to a trophy. True. It's those people's jobs to bring more
- 36:36
money to the sport. Mhm. But and when you bring it now, the players could give a [ __ ] about the
- 36:41
I I have an issue with that though. I feel like it's devaluing the the the premise of the game. I don't I don't
- 36:46
like when I hear players that haven't won trophies or haven't won the NBA title saying that and just making it
- 36:52
about money, it's it's sending a bad message. The incentive has changed. Yeah. Like I think and be good has
- 36:59
changed. I think that like and it's players that I remember being young how important the
- 37:05
NBA championship was. I mean, I remember when Joe came up here and said that, yo, they're not even putting the NBA finals
- 37:10
or championship on the floor. And I feel like some of the players also are sending a bad message. So, I think that
- 37:15
they need to get back to either finding hungry players or these, no disrespect to some of these [ __ ] I don't know. I
- 37:21
don't really watch sports, but a lot of it sound crazy coming from the vets that didn't win any championships. It shouldn't be that.
- 37:26
You know what happened, man? Honestly. Oh, go ahead. Go ahead. You know what happened? And it ain't it ain't just sports. It's music. It's
- 37:31
everything. people like years ago went in with the intention of being the best.
- 37:36
Yeah. Now I don't really care about being the best. I want to win the I want to make
- 37:42
this money and change my lineage and and pivot off into other things. Like now so
- 37:48
what if we not the best? I want to be the richest. Yeah. The incentive has changed. So when it's like when you're worried about your
- 37:54
own contract, you're only worried about yourself. It's like it's less team, more individual. So there's less emphasis on
- 38:00
just on on winning as a collective and no I got the max contract I won.
- 38:05
Let's bring it back to music and the awards. But with the but going back to music and the awards the same concept the team
- 38:11
concept and also Grammys has stayed under the under the control of the same entity.
- 38:16
You know what I'm saying? Whereas BET awards and hip hop award and the soul train awards that has shifted hands you
- 38:22
know in terms of who has held on to it. So in terms of like intentions of the
- 38:28
awards being created when they were and now who has it? They don't have the same intention.
- 38:34
Well, the Grammys are music people doing music awards. Mhm. Yeah.
- 38:39
That part like let's have the people that make know the steakhouse make the steak. Let's have them judge the steak.
- 38:46
Yeah. But the Grammys know how to do music network. What' you say? BET is considered a music network, is it
- 38:52
not? So well not for the past now 30 years. So that might play a role in all of this
- 38:58
is that they have shifted intention. They've shifted directive. They've shifted away from and therefore it
- 39:06
diluted the product, you know. Okay. Got it. That makes sense. Yeah.
- 39:11
It will make for one less fun night on Twitter a year. That's or two less fun nights on Twitter a year.
- 39:16
Hopefully they fix it. Yeah. Agreed. Hopefully they fix it. Agreed. M I mean for it to get fixed maybe
- 39:22
something a larger picture needs to be address. I don't even know if the music business breeds enough successful
- 39:29
musicians for award shows to have the same ump that they have. Right. Unless
- 39:34
you The Grammys now have a whole block dedicated to the new act. Yeah.
- 39:40
They're taking the best of the best. They're looking at all of them. Mhm. And they're taking the five, six or
- 39:46
seven. And they increased it this year and they increased the performance time on them. Homeboy with the blue baby blue
- 39:52
suit. I forgot his name, but the Freddy Mercury looking. Yeah, the Freddy Mercury looking D. That whole block.
- 39:59
It was maybe the highlight of the show. It was the best part of the show.
- 40:05
You kind of have to to to to keep it. You have to give it. You have to you have to pour into these new acts.
- 40:12
That's a fact. If all of the big acts, it ain't but nine of y'all. It ain't but nine big acts. If we including the white people
- 40:18
the island side of Def Jam 2, then it's it's 19 big acts.
- 40:24
I was going to say that too. Other than that, the Grammys encompasses all the demos.
- 40:29
The Grammys encompasses white country rock.
- 40:35
Yeah. But rap at one point, see, and that's some new [ __ ] today, too, where it's today's view of rap, which the
- 40:42
landscape is the landscape. Rat has typically had enough superstars to go in
- 40:48
any room of superstars. No, I'm I was talking about the Grammys is going to stay popping because all of
- 40:55
the genres have but we don't need Chappelle Ran to to stay popping is what I'm saying. But then what but this
- 41:01
we don't we don't need Taylor Swift. But what happens is and this is traditionally once the white man allows
- 41:07
you at his table which is the Grammys. you say [ __ ] the black people table which traditionally was the soul train
- 41:13
awards and uh now that we are being accepted in hip hop to the Grammys where they they didn't [ __ ] with us before now
- 41:20
we now that we getting a chance to go to the Grammy table we we saying [ __ ] all the black outlets it's like once the
- 41:27
white Leno and them allow you to come on their show you not going to come to the Joe button podcast possibly because I
- 41:34
feel like I've extended past that grave mistake I'm not disagreeing I'm
- 41:39
just saying. But that could be taken the same. Brave mistake when that happens.
- 41:44
You know what I'm saying? We talk about that all the time. How some of these bigger acts don't go sit with the
- 41:51
hip-hop acts or the black outlets. Same [ __ ] For sure.
- 41:56
Good luck, [ __ ] That's what I got for you.
- 42:02
For real. I was I was barely watching them. I wasn't going like I ain't going to sit there in front like I've been glued to the TV. They they lost my
- 42:08
viewership and that's and that's they that's their real problem right there. It's a bunch of that.
- 42:14
Fix it. Yeah. Fix it. Yeah. Y'all they ain't going to call you the host. Your host. They should have I'm asking they should
- 42:21
that's a we pass that now. And they should have hired someone to We passed that now. There there are dope. There's the Jids
- 42:28
of the world that maybe would stay away from that because I think he mentioned not being recognized up here. Was that him
- 42:33
recently? Yeah. Yeah. Like these are the people that you should be platforming.
- 42:38
That's true. Like he has a fan base. That's true. He's not nobody.
- 42:44
But to your point, the the Kai not knowing why Lelay was a microcosm of what's going on out there,
- 42:49
right? Put music people with music stuff.
- 42:54
That part. Everything else, everything else should be additive.
- 42:59
White people, y'all own some [ __ ] You want to get in the black space? Go find people that know what the [ __ ] is going
- 43:05
on. And yeah, I'm not. That's it. That's really it. That'll do it. Long and short of it. Uh what else? What else? What else we
- 43:11
got? What else we got? Uh speaking of knowing what's going on in spaces.
- 43:17
Yeah, Instagram is trying to set y'all up. Yep. For sure. I don't I didn't know what was going on
- 43:24
the other day. Well, yes, I did. They doing what? Snapchat. Yeah, Snapchat did that a decade ago.
- 43:29
Yeah. Instagram is what are they doing? They added a new feature called maps
- 43:34
where you can put your location so all of your friends and family and whatnot can see where you are in real time. This
- 43:41
sounds like a the worst [ __ ] idea ever. Like, hi, come kill me. Hi, come kill me. No. Hi, come catch me
- 43:49
cheating. That's what everybody was talking about. Yo yo yo, chill. Yo, that yo, that's a
- 43:54
shame. We go right to cheating and [ __ ] [ __ ] killing people. Well,
- 44:00
Instagram, I think, explained it as like a safety measure so people could know where you were in
- 44:06
the event that something happens. Man, that was [ __ ] That was [ __ ]
- 44:11
Super [ __ ] That was [ __ ] They also responded to some of the heat by saying, "Hey, this feature is
- 44:17
something you have to cut on. It is not just on by default in your phones. We're not doing that."
- 44:22
Yeah, for sure. But I could see how when I opened up my Instagram, it would be easy for someone to just hit continue.
- 44:28
Okay. Okay. Okay. Whatever. Just trying to get to their pictures and get their [ __ ] dopamine fix and accidentally
- 44:34
turning it on where it could be dangerous. I think it's a it's a horrible idea. It was easy to turn on.
- 44:40
I mean, it wasn't easy, but it but it's a splash screen. It pops up soon as you open Instagram. You just hit the button and it's like a optin and now now
- 44:48
it's on. While we on this subject, I do want to tell everybody out there, go into your phone camera settings and make
- 44:54
sure that your camera doesn't have access to your location. Cuz a lot of people don't know when you take a picture, the meta the metadata attached
- 45:00
to that picture shows where you were when you took the picture.
- 45:05
So, a lot of folks don't realize you take a picture and send it to somebody, they can swipe up and see right where
- 45:10
you were when you took the picture. That's important. Oh, that's gangster. That's important. And for some of y'all
- 45:17
out there, no one's coming. Like I know I know or no one's coming.
- 45:24
No one's coming to do nothing to you, [ __ ] Yeah. No one not a soul.
- 45:31
That's like the Cuz this sounds alarming right now. It's like with they out there listening on
- 45:36
y'all don't need to be on it. You ain't do nothing. Hey, you can unlock your window.
- 45:42
Key under the mat. Put the key on top of the little uh bolding door to that
- 45:47
ledge. Leave the door unlocked, [ __ ] Why you coming? Heard that [ __ ] trash.
- 45:55
I can definitely see how it would be super creepy for women though. A thousand%. Hell yeah. We joking, but no. Women,
- 46:01
celebrities, like what? Definitely. Yeah. O regular the girl with 30 followers
- 46:07
gets stalked by some weirdo. Mhm. It don't take fame ordeness to Hopefully, she's sharing her location
- 46:13
with her good friend. [ __ ] [ __ ]
- 46:19
[ __ ] will fall for anything around the world. Wrapping around convenience or safety. Your [ __ ] are the greatest.
- 46:28
Yo, you stupid. Don't worry, Natalie has my location.
- 46:34
I'm sharing it. Girl, I'll be done.
- 46:39
Natalie get there 4 hours sleep. Natalie asleep or or getting folded or
- 46:44
Natalie going to get slept when she walks through here too. What are you talking about? My location.
- 46:50
Natalie. That's the thing though, man. A lot of these I had to tell my kids that [ __ ] They had like 30 like 15 of their
- 46:56
friends had their location. They almost lost my mind in that house. Take all that [ __ ] off. Y'all crazy. What the [ __ ] They need to know where
- 47:02
you at for and who y'all [ __ ] hiding from. And why y'all sharing? I I ain't like that [ __ ] What did they say?
- 47:08
What's the response to weather? That's a thing. No, that's what they do. Yeah, that's what they do. Lex Lex done got 500 new Roblox friends.
- 47:17
I had to go. I had to go. Then I'm in my room know some private
- 47:22
[ __ ] Them [ __ ] on the game listening. Nah, dog. No. No. Turn go in a second. I'll show you. Turn
- 47:28
all that [ __ ] off. I don't know what's going on. They was a side. They just spying on you, man. It's It's crazy.
- 47:34
It's crazy. And these kids fall right into it. Mhm. They the best adults too, [ __ ]
- 47:40
Talking about nah [ __ ] [ __ ] is comfortable with Nokias, [ __ ] Bring back a Nokia snake.
- 47:47
[ __ ] on clear every day. Yep.
- 47:52
Convenience. Yeah. [ __ ] No, I opted out that [ __ ] I talking about you got to stay in there. I said
- 47:57
no, I'm good. I get them all time. I don't take no picture of me, my [ __ ] I'm straight. You take a picture?
- 48:03
No. Oh, yeah. I was against clear until I got almost strayed somewhere. Dark. Dark co. I remember.
- 48:09
Yeah. Hey yo. Yeah. Sorry. I got licenses and passports, right? I do. Okay.
- 48:15
And cell phones. Same [ __ ] Yo, people kill me with that. I'm not doing this. I'm not giving my face in my
- 48:20
Yes, you are. Yeah. Yes, you are, my [ __ ] It's different. You use ATM, right? It's different.
- 48:27
You're a lawabiding citizen. It's not about that. But nobody wants You got a credit card. You're tracked.
- 48:32
They got you. They know what you got. You got a kid.
- 48:37
Your car got bad chips in it. They know you. Yo, it's chips in your clothes. There's no chips.
- 48:42
They got y'all. Yo, I'm going be difficult. You and I is I'mma be difficult.
- 48:48
Do you and I is think y'all are eluding the What y'all think? Yo, you unlock your phone with your fingerprint.
- 48:54
Guess what they got. And you've been arrested in the jail for the life. They've been at those. What
- 49:00
you talking about? You don't want to just stand there and get your Y'all been arrested like recently. Like,
- 49:05
let's not make it sound like it was far away. No, I'm saying they been had to print. No, but digital prints for y'all
- 49:11
[ __ ] though. Like a few months ago. The digital order [ __ ] No, no. Digital updated mug shot. They
- 49:17
know what you look like now. Talking about a take no mug shot in a long time.
- 49:22
Me neither. [ __ ] you talking about, [ __ ] All right. They ain't mug shot me. They didn't face card.
- 49:29
Yeah, exactly. That is true. Your passport. Yo, what's wrong with your face?
- 49:35
Yo, dog no problem. Sounded nervous when you called out one of them days.
- 49:40
You think cuz he don't share it. You think cuz he don't tell
- 49:45
you what I'm saying? One of those days you called out. It sound sh
- 49:56
you wanted to keep to yourself is all I'm saying. [ __ ] That's all. And you didn't come in. Yo, [ __ ] going to stop calling out with
- 50:02
that one. I might make it for the Patreon. Yo, nah, I be like, "Yo, let me know if you
- 50:07
want me come to the Patreon." Yes. Yes. Yes, he does. I want you to come for the whole day.
- 50:13
Yo, he didn't say I I Yo, bro. I I don't talk to Joe. I talk to HR.
- 50:19
Oh, [ __ ] Let me know. Like, all right, we'll let you know. I'll be like, "All right, cool."
- 50:25
You know what I mean? All right. We want you to come in. Thank Thank you for telling me. HR. You
- 50:32
the H and the R. We got it, buddy. There you go.
- 50:38
Stop. Well, you were arrested recently. Yo, she not letting that go.
- 50:43
Get a mail. I'm just get him. I'm just asking. He was came over, gave us his shoelaces
- 50:49
and his phone. Looking all my belt. He was looking all sad in the face. Look, now you want to play tough and
- 50:54
cute. Look, now you Randy Savage. But that day it's like, "Yo, come here real quick. Yo, can I take this with me?"
- 51:01
That's what I was doing. Can I take this? That's what I did. Here. Yo, take my Here. Yo, make a call.
- 51:08
Can I make a call? Yo, that's you. Humble. That's you, boy. You
- 51:15
Humble Pie. Yo, speaking of humble pie, I want to I want to revisit our will I
- 51:21
am conversation cuz I let Parks talk me off the ledge with that [ __ ] he was
- 51:26
talking about. And because I be trying to sound humble and open-minded, I just went with it. But nah,
- 51:32
let's hear it. Nah, let's hear it. Will I am don't get to say that
- 51:38
that he likes Black Thought better than Jay-Z. No, that Black Thought is one trillion
- 51:43
times better than Jay-Z. Will I Am is not the MC that could say that. And no
- 51:48
MC that MC's at the level we talking about would say that.
- 51:54
True. Just the comment by itself say that this person shouldn't be saying it. And I saw
- 52:00
Jedus talking about it and I loved what he had to say which was me too. Dog this is just division for no reason
- 52:07
for two names that nobody is even thinking. Nobody's nobody's here with this. It's only him. Will I Am who?
- 52:15
Nobody is looking at like that or for that. He's right. Shut the [ __ ] up on
- 52:20
some things. Will I am a trillion? No. No. I don't care how the the old [ __ ]
- 52:28
sound before uh shorty joined the group before the hits came. You can't say that. He can't say that.
- 52:34
I think he can say that, man. No, he can't say that. Who can't offer their opinion on [ __ ] art?
- 52:40
That's more than your opinion on art. More than your opinion. that that there is no person on this earth that is
- 52:47
a trillion times better than the person we talking about in one particular slider in hip-hop that
- 52:54
don't exist. It may have been a little uh hyperbole. You You're right.
- 53:00
And then when I watched it back, you saying that to Sway, right? Mr. Hip Hop Car, you heard what Sway
- 53:07
said. Explain your logic. Show your back. Show your work. Show
- 53:16
your work. How you get this answer? That's it. You know why? Cuz that's all it needed
- 53:22
to be said because nobody would say that. He don't get to say that.
- 53:27
Nobody don't get to say that. Michael Jordan is a trillion times better than Kobe Bryant or LeBron. Like
- 53:33
nobody nobody would say that. They're not going to say that. Like just the premise of this conversation is
- 53:39
handled with the participants you handle with more respect than to say a trillion.
- 53:45
That is true. All you're saying is that's my preference. Say I think Black Thought is better than
- 53:51
Jay-Z and this is why. And that's and nobody nobody says nothing. That's your opinion. You could say it a
- 53:56
trillion. You're trying to do a little more Mr. Techy Tech. Mr. Techman.
- 54:03
That may be true. I don't know. He's putting some sauce, man. You know what you don't talk me off the ledge.
- 54:08
Don't talk me off no ledge. When I'm on a ledge, I calculated before I walked up to this [ __ ] Hell no, Will. Go
- 54:14
ahead, man. What was the context? Why did he just volunteer that information? He was on Sway.
- 54:20
I know, but interview Sway asking like, "Do you think so and so is better than so- and so?" Like, just seems like a
- 54:26
random thing to just kind of pull out of here. I think he may have asked him what his favorite MC's were or something. It was
- 54:31
Mount Rushmore. I think that's what it was cuz it was around the whole Mount Rushmore [ __ ] phase which is still going somehow
- 54:38
still. Yeah. And his thing was I'm different, right? These are names you normally hear but mine is this and this is [ __ ]
- 54:46
[ __ ] are [ __ ] You got it. Will I am like I respect I
- 54:51
like I like Will I am but he got carried away. It's okay to say when somebody we like got car you got carried away
- 54:59
in front of Sway which you shouldn't like Sway ain't even the person to get carried away in front of
- 55:04
I'm surprised that Sway didn't uh offer more push back sometimes I don't think he needed to let him go
- 55:13
let him go on the ledge oh you think that all
- 55:18
you said this clip is going to go viral and it did it did what we talking about
- 55:24
it's been perturbing Joe for weeks. I didn't sleep right at night knowing that you talked me out of that because
- 55:30
Will I am used to rap. So, you still can't say that.
- 55:36
Who can say that? Nobody. No one would and should say that is the
- 55:42
point. Okay. Nobody would. Who would? Let's think of somebody. Think of all the the the whole
- 55:47
There's not one receiver living that is a trillion times better than Jerry Rice.
- 55:53
I don't give a [ __ ] who you go get. True. Terrell Owens in the conversation. Randy Moss is in the conversation.
- 55:59
They're not way better than Jerry R. So we just stuck on the word trillion. Yeah.
- 56:04
Or just way like it's just nobody out here that's doing it. He emphasized that. You know what I'm saying? Like way way
- 56:10
way better than him. You can't do that in music. And we don't do that in basketball. The only time that's acceptable for me maybe
- 56:17
is in baseball. Like if somebody wanted I've heard I've heard Gary Sheffield and
- 56:22
the best of them say Barry Bonds was different. Yeah. They don't. And they still don't say a trillion.
- 56:30
They just say he's not in nothing. He's he's better than everybody any day. No
- 56:37
matter what he's wearing, no matter what he's take him out of this equation of his own. That's what they say. He could
- 56:43
wake up. That's acceptable to me. If you hear people today talking about uh Otani, no. Oh, but know who saying know who's
- 56:49
saying it? Them. Gary Sheffield. Yeah. It ain't just Gary Sheffield.
- 56:54
No, I'm saying to your original point, it's like when the when the NBA [ __ ] talk about Kobe Bryant
- 56:59
that played basketball. Yeah. Will I am is not Gary Sheffield in
- 57:05
this but we can under but you can say you can understand he did say that black thought is better than Jay.
- 57:11
You can respect and understand his opinion. I don't have to respect it. Everybody could say what they want to say. But
- 57:16
when you start hearing from credible people in front of credible people at a
- 57:22
credible location trying to have an esteemed like real hip hop talk, it's important that we it's important we have
- 57:28
it. You can't he can't say that to who he said it to where he said it. If he
- 57:34
home somewhere, say what the [ __ ] you want to say. He shouldn't say that nowhere where [ __ ] like me can hear
- 57:41
it. Where [ __ ] like Jedakus can hear, where rappers can where Nas is listening to this. They turned that on in the mass
- 57:47
appeal office and probably had a stink fate. Like what? No. Will no
- 57:54
even there. No, they will not let him say that about Jay-Z. Now I'm glazing.
- 58:00
Anyway, a little bit. Uh, it's time for my favorite part of the show.
- 58:07

- 59:52
All right. They continue to throw dildos on the floor at WNBA basketball games.
- 59:59
This time I think it was a purple dildo. Oh, they switch it up. Purple and green. That's a I mean Joker
- 1:00:06
colors. Or maybe I just saw two different dildos. Maybe they threw a green one and a purple one. I don't know. It's multiple colors.
- 1:00:11
It is multiple. It's multiple colors. Yep. Well, you know, I mean I She got the dildo tracker on the phone.
- 1:00:17
Yeah. I was about to be like, "Yo, fam. Is that normal?" No. Who the [ __ ] is like neon? No, I mean like neon colors
- 1:00:23
and [ __ ] Hey, that's invasive. Yeah, [ __ ] You can't ask Mel
- 1:00:30
how [ __ ] is this? I didn't say anything about hers. Um, you can tell Mel don't look cool
- 1:00:35
masquerade too. Y on some on some old white lady [ __ ]
- 1:00:41
Let me see on some old white lady [ __ ] You just know that she don't look cool at all doing that.
- 1:00:48
Oh my god. And my cousin's the least swag. My cousin said, "And the
- 1:00:56
yo, who's running that [ __ ] Leave me alone." All right, but leave me alone. It ain't you, girl. Leave me alone.
- 1:01:01
All right. All right. I'm done. Leave me alone. Anyways, um multiple colors. What thoughts do we have about this? The
- 1:01:07
WNBA uh responded by saying they will no longer allow dildos at the show. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:01:14
No, they will no longer allow patrons to bring bags inside the arenas.
- 1:01:22
That ain't who won't tell. [ __ ] be boofing it, man.
- 1:01:27
He's going to pull it right out of there. Liar. Yeah, [ __ ] [ __ ] do that. But I don't
- 1:01:33
understand what what is why are they throwing the dildos? Yo, can the NBA owner walk over there and just like lend his brain to the
- 1:01:40
problem? You could tell it's just girls trying to figure [ __ ] out. No more bags. No, that that ain't going to stop me.
- 1:01:47
I think that they should be charged with sex crime for this [ __ ] For what? Like somebody got arrested? They arrested.
- 1:01:53
What would they arrest him for? Like some mischief? Public mischief. That could be mischief.
- 1:01:58
The charge. Yeah. Need to be more severe than that. Yeah, that's the issue. They didn't get the right person anyway,
- 1:02:04
so it it don't need to be more severe than that. They was just pressured to act bad.
- 1:02:09
Was they dusted for Prince? Yo, that's funny, son. I see two people.
- 1:02:15
I think arrested. Get your juice off. Yeah, but this is a group, buddy.
- 1:02:21
Oh, man. You can lock two people up all you want. That's just going to make them throw more dildos on the They booked them for suspicion of
- 1:02:27
disorderly conduct, assault, and public display of explicit sexual material. Bro, you said it's a group. You chopped
- 1:02:34
the head off. I'm saying it's a group. You say ISIS [ __ ] [ __ ] throw a dildo
- 1:02:39
dildo. What you talking about? Al-Qaeda. That's what you say. That's what you say.
- 1:02:45
It's It's a sleeper set. Listen, Kev from Bar Stool said that he had got an email from a group claiming
- 1:02:53
to be responsible for throwing the dildos. They were anonymous. And they said, "Yo, dildo's anonymous."
- 1:02:59
Da encrypted email and they were like, "Yo,
- 1:03:04
put the funny voice on. If you don't believe us, pay attention to the game. There will be more dildo."
- 1:03:09
See, you down. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You did that really well, dog. That is hilarious.
- 1:03:16
I think it's a group. I think that the cryptocurrency group, huh? Cryptocurrency meme coin creators say
- 1:03:22
they are responsible for the sex toys being thrown at multiple NBA. Someone has to do the voice
- 1:03:27
and they are planning more pranks. I need I need them to I need them to step out and Hey, Ericson,
- 1:03:33
keep your eyes peeled. When that coin hit the market, that [ __ ] going to take off and I'mma be right
- 1:03:40
there. Oh, that's genius. Let's see what they doing. Well, you're going to buy the dildo coin. You [ __ ] a look how fast it's turned
- 1:03:47
cold on some money [ __ ] He was just saying you think this is an organized
- 1:03:52
look, [ __ ] Sleeper cell reddit. You [ __ ] ain't right. I get it.
- 1:03:59
Y smiling. What's one on the I'm trying to figure out what the motivation girl.
- 1:04:06
It's there's no pictures of dildos here. No, I'm just trying to figure out what the motivation is. So, the spokeswoman
- 1:04:11
for the crypto a spokesperson for this crypto group um said that this was their intention was uh blah blah blah. He said
- 1:04:20
a group of crypto enthusiasts and traders launched green dildo coin dildo.
- 1:04:25
Oh [ __ ] they're getting ready. A meme coin intended to be light-hearted and perceived as a joke in late July to
- 1:04:30
protest what they described as a toxic environment in the crypto world. According to the group, many smaller
- 1:04:35
players in the space are struggling to keep up with the influx of influencers and scammers. So, as a form of protest,
- 1:04:41
the memecoin was created and the faction began infiltrating WNBA area arenas with
- 1:04:46
colorcoordinated sex toys to coincide with the launch. This is a hell of a marketing scheme. It is.
- 1:04:52
Yeah. And it's working. I don't know if it is. Um, well, it's in USA Today. We're talking about Yes,
- 1:04:59
it's working. Oh, my bad. It's It's definitely working. It's working. The Sydney Sweeney jeans
- 1:05:04
worked. It all works. All of it is working. It It's working here, too. [ __ ] you talking about.
- 1:05:10
That That [ __ ] is going up. Think I'm think I'm joking. Yes.
- 1:05:16
You such a [ __ ] You call me,
- 1:05:22
bro. Lime green next time. Pink one. [ __ ] you talking about, [ __ ] Think I
- 1:05:27
won't have some [ __ ] I saw one. I saw one of them uh online sport book joints had you could bet on what color you
- 1:05:34
thought the next one was going to be. That's and all of that is is going to make the coin keep going up and up and up.
- 1:05:40
That's it. Do you think they'll throw it at the NFL games or the NBA games?
- 1:05:45
No. No. No. Get your ass whooped for that, right? Yes. Well, apparently sex toys have been
- 1:05:50
thrown at sporting events in the past. Probably the most well-known incident was at the New England Patriots versus
- 1:05:56
the Bills game in 2018. Do you guys remember anything like that? I don't. Yes.
- 1:06:01
You do? I do. What they throw out there? They I remember them throwing something on the field during that game and
- 1:06:08
was this place. Yo, seven years.
- 1:06:13
And this has happened at a baseball game before. I'm not saying it's never happened, but
- 1:06:18
do I think it's going to happen at this frequency at this clip?
- 1:06:24
No. Nah. And it'll be stiff. stiff cop
- 1:06:31
harsh consequences. Harsh. Yeah, cuz the dude next to you

- 1:11:11

- 1:11:17
He did exactly what he is. He did exactly what he put your little ass right in the overhead in a medicine cabinet. You make

You know what's going on. I hate when you do that. Listen. Listen, [ __ ] I was at a conference this week. I was paying attention to what conference you was at.
- 1:18:38
How was your conference? Tell us about tell us nothing about it. No, nobody asked. Tell us about tell us about it.
- 1:18:43
Say how was your weekend? Everybody bypassed. I was at the Sex in the City conference. I met I met Carrie Br.
- 1:18:52
That would be fun. No, I wouldn't go to that. But joking. Mel, are you going to tell us about the conference? girl. I was at the uh National Association for
- 1:18:58
Black Journalist conference. Oh, you told us about that? Yes, it was in Cleveland. So, I went for
- 1:19:03
24 hours. So, Mhm. How was it? It was amazing. It was amazing. I had
- 1:19:09
Well, for the time that I was there, cuz it goes on until Sunday. Um yo, who gives the better reviews than
- 1:19:14
us? She's about to give her a review. She just warming up. I'm saying, but
- 1:19:20
who? They can't [ __ ] with us. They can't [ __ ] with us. Absolutely not. We are amazing. Let them know. We are [ __ ] amazing.
- 1:19:25
Um, so yeah, it was I hit Mark and I was like, "Mark, should I go to this?" He was like, "Yes." Just single word. I was
- 1:19:32
like, "All right." Yeah. Mark who was on vacation with his wife. I sure as the [ __ ] did. Yes, I did because he is a journalist and I respect
- 1:19:37
his opinion and he is my friend. And so I asked him, "Quick question. Do you mind? I don't mean to disturb you."
- 1:19:43
Okay. Got the answer. So I didn't like that. You just you do fine, Brad. Somebody else told me about
- 1:19:48
a text that you just you just find reasons to text people. Well, I mean, if
- 1:19:53
I'm asking a question, I need an answer. Do closed mouths don't get fed on the boulevard. That's a fact. Yeah. So, you know, I needed to know
- 1:20:00
should I should I should I make this investment? And I did. Okay. Do you feel uh did you speak?
- 1:20:06
No. I I I was not invited to the conference to speak or whatever else.
- 1:20:12
What the [ __ ] Do you think you think it was worth it? Absolutely. You did networking and everything.
- 1:20:17
I did a lot of network. It was my first time going. I met a lot of people.
- 1:20:22
It was in Cleveland, right? Yes. What? Talking to the mic, [ __ ]
- 1:20:28
Talking to the mic. So, you went there on your face. Hey, that is most important. You went there and set in the crowd.
- 1:20:36
You went all the way to Cleveland. Have you ever been to a conference before? Okay. So, you know, you walk around a lot. Did you?
- 1:20:41
You know, there's like a lot of panels and [ __ ] like that. Mr. Ford, I know that. And I got recognized a
- 1:20:46
Everyone knew who I was. A lot of Pod fans. Shout out to the podcast. I thought you was going in the talk now. A lot of patronis.
- 1:20:54
Okay. Wait, let me just say this. You used that as a reply to his Harvard invite and I thought you was going to
- 1:21:00
body it. Yo, I'm going to I'm going to I'm going there to speak. You went That's different. You went there to walk around. No, that's different. He was invited to
- 1:21:07
how to Harvard to speak a keynote speaker. This is a How did I get
- 1:21:12
He threw you [ __ ] This was a conference where multiple panels are. There's a job fair
- 1:21:18
happening. There's events that happen. Did you go to the job fair? I did. I'm about to lose my [ __ ] I'm about to
- 1:21:24
get fired from hiring. Is this E, bro?
- 1:21:29
Well, I mean, you know, the acronym that they use is also need a better job. So,
- 1:21:35
um, yeah. Whoa. Damn. Throwing shots at Joe. I'm not throwing shots at talking about
- 1:21:41
the [ __ ] that I learned while starts balling. She just saw a video of a woman who was running in a marathon and when
- 1:21:47
she looks over she notices a friend of hers flew in from London to watch her
- 1:21:53
finish. The friend flew in for like 24 hours and she's like she sees the friend and she immediately starts balling.
- 1:21:58
She's like crying and running and you can tell she's like overjoyed that her friend would do such a thing. I think
- 1:22:04
sometimes when men are questioning why women are choosing to be single,
- 1:22:12
what is men do again? How are we involved in people and a friend going to
- 1:22:17
support a friend? What did men do again? How is
- 1:22:26
how did we get into this conversation to go and support the other one that is
- 1:22:31
running? What did men do again? How how how did
- 1:22:36
we get into this equation? How did we get into this? How how
- 1:22:44
did we do
- 1:22:51
is this obsession or you had a bad father in your life? Because I don't understand your bad choices. Some of you
- 1:22:58
women go and choose bad men. Some of you are being raised by bad
- 1:23:03
fathers. Anyhoos, so
- 1:23:08
what's what's the correlation between that and and me saying that how did he get involved in the conversation?
- 1:23:14
Thank you for you did it. Thank you. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead.
- 1:23:19
Anyways, it was a great conference and I met several people that I am, you know,
- 1:23:24
I keep in touch with idols. Oh, idols. Oh, oh, really? like who in the in the in the journalist space.
- 1:23:31
Yes. I'm going to ban reviews from I tell you what. Go ahead though. Go
- 1:23:38
ahead. All right. Tell me how tell me tell me how you would like a review to be done. Good question.
- 1:23:45
Who are the idols? You forgot.
- 1:23:50
No, it's not. It's not that. I I forgot. I I bury the lead, right? Cuz I like to like drag [ __ ] out. Is
- 1:23:56
that Is that what you're trying to say? Oh my god. Yo,
- 1:24:01
all this [ __ ] talking about. So, who's the idols?
- 1:24:17
[Laughter] Okay, Mark down. All right, let's get to it.
- 1:24:24
[Applause] Just because you guys don't know, that doesn't mean anything.
- 1:24:30
Oh, thank you for that. Shout out to my own personal They're my own personal idols.
- 1:24:36

- 1:24:41

- 1:24:58
Wait. What? Movies. Weapons. Weapons. Weapons. I'm going.
- 1:25:04
They got it. I don't usually fall for marketing like that. Usually actually over marketing turns me off. I'm like,
- 1:25:10

- 1:25:17

- 1:25:54
Yeah, just cuz it's horror. Yeah, I think you don't feel like some of that [ __ ] is a little deeper there.
- 1:26:00
But if your girl is there, you don't feel like jumping. Hold her hand. You could jump. Yeah, she'll keep you safe.
- 1:26:05

- 1:26:11
Everything with Got to be some cool [ __ ] Why you scared? I'm not scared. What are you talking about? So you think he's a devil? Like
- 1:26:18
you're scared. It's okay. Murdering killer from your neighborhood.
- 1:26:25
But the horror movie is frightening. Yeah, it's different. He said like like devilish worship.
- 1:26:32
Oh, you you in conspiracy manager every [ __ ] Was it like Chucky?
- 1:26:37
Nah, that's [ __ ] That ain't horror. Chucky in the main horror room. When you start playing with the supernatural
- 1:26:43
[ __ ] I don't [ __ ] with none of that. No, you got a lot. So, no lotion.
- 1:26:49
No supernatural. No lotion. You make homemade applesauce in a crib.
- 1:26:56

- 1:27:08
Daniel, I think I'm going to see this movie. When the reviews started looking good online, I did go uh check the IPC. It's
- 1:27:16

- 1:27:22
they're not. You just checked.
- 1:27:27
I just bought two tickets for Sunday. For who?
- 1:27:32

- 1:27:58
But when you a girlfriend, it seemed like it ain't lit out there for you. So, when you once you pass 45, sometimes you
- 1:28:04
got to pay. You know what I'm saying? You got to buy friends. Hey, you want to
- 1:28:09
go to the movies? Girl, did you ask me what I'm doing on Sunday? Stupid. You just bought a ticket. You
- 1:28:16
didn't text nobody to ask. You would know because you were always looking down on my phone creeping and
- 1:28:22
[ __ ] I love you, bro. I'm going to see I'm check this out. Weapons, [ __ ]
- 1:28:27
And I'm waiting on one more movie, too. I don't know the name of it, but I saw it coming to traction around the same
- 1:28:32
time I saw Weapons. Denzel Washington and Spikeley. Oh, sorry. Did you see her trying to cut down
- 1:28:38
coming attractions? You been doing that to that [ __ ] all day early. He let you slide.
- 1:28:44
That [ __ ] looked at me. I had I went like this in my bed. It's okay. I saw you do it.
- 1:28:52
There's a coming attraction where it's uh it's horror, too. So,
- 1:28:58
close your eyes. Don't close your eyes. But it's kids. It's like a 100 kids take a long walk
- 1:29:06
and they can't stop walking. Any kid that stops walking dies. They
- 1:29:11
shoot them. Oh, what? What? That's not horrible. Tell
- 1:29:17
that's gory. Comedy. No, but I don't
- 1:29:23
I don't know, man. Is it just that there's guns involved or drama or some [ __ ] That [ __ ] sounds crazy. Yo, where the
- 1:29:28
[ __ ] is It's not drama. What movie you want to see that? Not drama. It's not sci-fi. I watch I I go to the movies. I do. I see a lot of
- 1:29:35
coming attractions. That's fire. But any of them horror type flicks is going to show you that it's a really
- 1:29:40
good I wish I It's called It's called The Long Walk. The Long Walk. Thank you. It says, "A group of teenage boys compete in an annual contest known as
- 1:29:46
The Long Walk where they must maintain a certain walking speed or get shot."
- 1:29:52
And is it is a horror It's a horror flick. Comes out uh September 12th. No sir, I met my idols.
- 1:30:04
I can [ __ ] this girl. Yo, listen. Jason Lee Jason
- 1:30:09
Lee is under investigation allegedly for stealing over 50,000 in city funds to
- 1:30:15
cover a wild and out event. So, he took some city funds.
- 1:30:21
Oh, wait. He's in Yeah, he's an elected official somewhere. I forgot about that. Hold up. I'm going to find uh I'm going
- 1:30:26
to find my home girl. Stockton. Stockton, California. That's where he's from.
- 1:30:31
Okay. And I think that he became he became like a city councilman.
- 1:30:37
Okay, that's dope. And we start tonight with breaking news. Late today, the interim city manager in
- 1:30:42
Stockton announced an investigation. It's all about the use of $50,000 in the city's risk mitigation fund. The money
- 1:30:49
was used in connection to a recent wild andout event allegedly without the city manager's approval or knowledge. The
- 1:30:55
city is now investigating exactly how that money was authorized and who was involved. So stay with ABC 10 for
- 1:31:02
updates. ABC 10, you ain't help with [ __ ] just now, [ __ ] [ __ ] Stockton. ABC 10 has obtained emails
- 1:31:08
indicating the city of Stockton the Adventist Health Arena $50,000. It was all in order to avoid cancing a
- 1:31:15
show the vice mayor performed in. ABC 10's Gabriel Forest has the latest from Stockton.
- 1:31:21
That's right. We got those emails late this afternoon painting a picture of the latest controversy to grip Stockton City
- 1:31:27
Hall. Those emails are between staff members here at city hall and officials with the organization that operates the
- 1:31:32
Adventist Health Arena just about a block away. In the emails, arena officials warned city staff members that
- 1:31:37
the promoters of the comedy show Wild and Out were considering cancelling their May event due to low ticket sales.
- 1:31:43
This was just a day before the show was set to happen at the arena. The promoter asked the arena for $150,000 in support
- 1:31:50
to keep the show going on, but the arena could only find $100,000. An arena official then asked city hall
- 1:31:56
for the extra $50,000, saying that a cancellation could deter future arena events and that it could hurt the city's
- 1:32:03
economy with at least 10 other events already having been cancelled this year. The city's economic development director
- 1:32:08
found the money in the city's risk mitigation fund and offered it up. The particular event at the arena involved
- 1:32:14
the vice mayor, Jason Lee, who said he helped bring it to Stockton. Some of this controversy was brought up about
- 1:32:19
Jason meeting tonight here at city hall. Take a listen. This really whole week has been about a
- 1:32:25
political witch hunt to prove somehow that the vice mayor conspired with city staff to go in the the bank accounts to
- 1:32:32
give $50,000 to a brand that lost $170,000 on top of the $50,000 in an
- 1:32:38
approved fund that they have used in the past. We
- 1:32:46
Jason Lee. Now, let me tell you something, Jason Lee. This is why I don't [ __ ] with you, but we squashed our
- 1:32:51
[ __ ] But this is why I don't [ __ ] with you. I've been on Hollywood Unlocked ever since the store is broken. Dad, I ain't
- 1:32:59
seen a beep. I'm just waiting for you to post your [ __ ]
- 1:33:04
You want him to unlock his own [ __ ] Yeah, unlock that [ __ ] You can't take the money from the risk and litigation
- 1:33:11
fund and give it to wild and out so they could do a May event in the town and
- 1:33:16
then he went to city hall and double down. Jason Lee man what do you think about
- 1:33:22
this as someone who used to work with him and has u a close understanding like inside s
- 1:33:28
like a source for this like as someone that has inside knowledge of his inner workings and the business infrastructure
- 1:33:35
over there at Hollywood. How do you feel about as someone that's worked closely with Jason Lee for
- 1:33:42
10 years? Well, four, which is 10.
- 1:33:47
How do you feel about this? Mel, it look like the lights just got
- 1:33:53
cut on when somebody asked that question. Mel, are you awake girl? I am. I am. I don't even know how to
- 1:33:58
respond cuz I'm just You just came from the Black Journalist of Canada and Cleveland conference with
- 1:34:04
Rebecca Maria. What the [ __ ] is going on in here? I just heard it for the first time. So,
- 1:34:10
I'm like processing what they just said and I'm just like I don't know how to respond to it. He's not going to get at you if you
- 1:34:16
comment. That's what you concerned. We will fry him up. I'm not concerned about that. I just I don't know. I'm just processing. $50,000
- 1:34:24
ain't paid while and out so they could so they could won't cancel the show in Stockton
- 1:34:29
from the risk and litigation. What do you feel about that? Risk and litigation sound like the last
- 1:34:35
place you should take this [ __ ] need this. It's risky.
- 1:34:40
Foring out. Foring out. That's some sicko [ __ ] But I'm here for
- 1:34:46
it, Jason. I'm here for it. But she's still stunning. No, I mean, don't worry about it, girl. It's fine. Uh,
- 1:34:51
I get the why he did it, but you still can't do why he did it again. Well, now it is a hit. No, but okay, if it wasn't obviously it
- 1:34:58
wasn't a hit there if the the show was threatened to be cancelled due to low ticket sales and we've already had other shows canled. Well, look, if we've
- 1:35:04
already had other shows canled, you haven't met Big Face.
- 1:35:10
Let me tell you the trick. This is a trick for the promoter said that the chicken sales was low. The promoter
- 1:35:16
called and said, "Yo, I need an extra bug 50 to run this." I If we've already had shows canled
- 1:35:24
here, now when you get if if you if is getting ready to do a tour and your booking
- 1:35:30
agent, yo, Stockton, they don't show we we going to skip Stockton because season desist is is tour.
- 1:35:36
You can't do try do a tour. You can't do that. Cease and desist. So
- 1:35:41
[ __ ] Joe show up too. That's the funny [ __ ] Hey, I cease and desist the [ __ ] out of
- 1:35:47
that's that is go up there with tonight's conversation, [ __ ] Try to get a little something some Hey, go up
- 1:35:54
cuz you know it's going to be some relationship [ __ ] Mandy, I'll bring a bow and arrow for Mandy.
- 1:36:00
Hey, I'll bring a special little BB gun or some [ __ ] Go up here and say something.
- 1:36:07
Go try to get a little ginger war. It's from the jump
- 1:36:14
was this [ __ ] we had airsoft [ __ ] Tuesday and this is welcome to the stage
- 1:36:20
is from the great time trying to throw a green dough up there
- 1:36:27
so yeah you're an idiot bro she still ain't tell us what She
- 1:36:34
that's not she [Laughter]
- 1:36:41
was in love. I was making I was networking. That's what I was doing. I was
- 1:36:47
walking around. I Yes, I was. I was walking around. I was walking around and I was meeting
- 1:36:52
and greeting people. Mhm. Sure. Yes, I was. Took a lot of pictures. Yes, I did. What is this? 850 episode.
- 1:36:58
The 850. I'm going to watch this again. Don't you worry.
- 1:37:04
You know, I jinxed it, too. I said 800 has been killing the 700. [ __ ] say,
- 1:37:09
"Oh, yeah. Watch this. We got Cleveland journalism and Vegas tourism for you."
- 1:37:16
Uh, let's see. Let's see. Let's see. All right. Jason Lee, we got Oh, all right. Let's do it.
- 1:37:23
Let's do it. We was talking about dusty New York [ __ ] Oh, dusty [ __ ] that look dusty in New
- 1:37:29
York. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It was that. It was that. It
- 1:37:34
was that. Yo, you [ __ ] is looking dusty and you're not saying it. I wish I could tell you. I wish I could call you out by
- 1:37:40
name, but some of y'all I love Well, shouldn't you be able to call out the people that you love when they look
- 1:37:45
dusty? No. Call out publicly? No. Publicly. That's not how you treat people you love. That's why your friends
- 1:37:52
why your friends be getting out of there. You can't do that to people that you love. Uh, so we started by talking
- 1:37:58
about [ __ ] that look dusty and don't know that they look dusty. Yeah. And then I tried to progress the talk by
- 1:38:05
saying if your if if you if you was dogging
- 1:38:10
your lady out and your lady leaves you and go and actually finds a good man
- 1:38:17
that she's happy with, your sauce points get deleted. You you minus a,000 sauce
- 1:38:24
points. you kind of automatically dusty. So if she got to go get with a bum
- 1:38:30
[ __ ] then you you you stay at your swag level. Yeah. But if she upgrade, if if she go
- 1:38:36
get happy with someone that is actually better than you and doing better than
- 1:38:41
you and looking to improve, your dust meter, your dust rating
- 1:38:47
has gone up to like 3,000 now. Yes. Stop me when I'm saying something wrong.
- 1:38:53
I'm saying something wrong. No, you're not saying nothing wrong. You look real crazy in the public. You will look nuts in the public
- 1:38:58
cuz you really look like it was that [ __ ] the whole time. We got to define what dusty mean. I
- 1:39:04
thought y'all was talking about like Let's do it. Like clothing. No, I was talking about We talking about
- 1:39:09
the [ __ ] that we was talking about look dusty. Dusty is a aura. Yes. Yeah, it could be both. But yeah, I
- 1:39:16
I agree with you. I agree with y'all too. It's your clothes. is when [ __ ] don't put the the hair lotion in their braids. When
- 1:39:23
[ __ ] don't use beard uh beard butter, you can just tell when [ __ ] got the
- 1:39:30
[ __ ] [ __ ] lotion, the scentless scentless CVS nasty dusty [ __ ] You
- 1:39:37
could tell, yo, this is not an elitist conversation either. The good lotion is $6 instead of four.
- 1:39:43
It's not. Okay. Well, then that that's dusty as an appearance. But what's dusty aura?
- 1:39:48
[ __ ] could walk in with the the most expensive of clothing
- 1:39:54
and look dusty. Is dusty aura desperate? No, no, no.
- 1:39:59
It's not [ __ ] that we know they dress they put that [ __ ] on.
- 1:40:05
Dusty. Yo. Yo, if you outside every day at 47, 48,
- 1:40:11
you do have a little bit of that sewer juice look on you. desperate.
- 1:40:17
That's not desperate. It's not desperate though cuz you might not be thirsty. There's Man, what's up with you?
- 1:40:23
I don't think it's No, we're not trying to say that. Why are you saying that? It's neither of those things cuz you're not necessarily looking for something
- 1:40:30
because you specified an age. You said if you out here 47, 48 D. That's why I
- 1:40:35
chocked it. That's why I'm drawing the comparison like thirsty, desperate, dusty.
- 1:40:41
No, but you I'm not trying to say that. I'm just trying to say these things have a different look to them at our age. They do.
- 1:40:47
Okay. Okay. You don't have to be searching for some. I don't know why you at at say less 8
- 1:40:52
days a week. Mhm. I don't know. Right. You might be having a good time.
- 1:40:57
All of that [ __ ] is is could be fun for you. Mhm. The look of it. It's crazy.
- 1:41:03
Mhm. It's dusty. Dusty. That's it's crazy. It's dusty. Yeah, it is. What else is dusty? Some of you
- 1:41:10
[ __ ] [ __ ] security be dusty looking like it look like it. It do look a mess.
- 1:41:16
[ __ ] be with the baggy black shirts.
- 1:41:21
The faded [ __ ] Chris black no more. Them young [ __ ] got the security boy.
- 1:41:27
And we're talking about [ __ ] But and now that we now that we made it like a age appropriate conversation,
- 1:41:32
there's a 48 49 dusty look for the women too. No [ __ ]
- 1:41:38
it's a age thing. It's a 42 and up dusty look for the women.
- 1:41:45
Yeah, you should just be living a certain way. All that [ __ ] Cory be drinking. What's the soy shots? What's the green What's them little green
- 1:41:51
healthy shots? Wheat grass. Wheat grass. What's some more of that
- 1:41:56
little healthy water? Tumeric. Just regular water. Tumeric. Hey, water. Drink water.
- 1:42:02
Don't drink no water. Dead ass. What? They'll be out too much. Do you think it's that [ __ ] just have a midlife crisis, Joe? Like [ __ ] have
- 1:42:09
nothing else to do. Meaning like I feel like a lot of times I was just telling Pus that [ __ ] is stuck on what they
- 1:42:16
used to do. Yes. They don't advance. So they not trying to work to get into a new realm.
- 1:42:21
I'm with that. I I couldn't agree with you. I think Yep. And I think [ __ ] be stuck. It's time and habits.
- 1:42:26
Time is hauling ass. And I can speak for the men.
- 1:42:32
Yo dog, you've been ducking relationships. You've been ducking, settling down cuz you were selfish and you was out here doing your one two
- 1:42:38
thing. Now you look crazy at 47 standing on them couches. See, and and
- 1:42:44
you look insane, my [ __ ] Standing on them couches at 48. And you feel like if I'm not visible like this, the love I got is going to
- 1:42:50
leave, bro. Who the [ __ ] want to be No, you in the house and you ain't got nothing to do. No, I'm talking.
- 1:42:56
So now you don't got nobody to just come over and chill and watch a movie. You know what I'm saying? Like yo, you you
- 1:43:01
you lonely. [ __ ] be outside every single night. I think of trying to appear young and lit when you're not young
- 1:43:07
is setting yourself up for Yeah, but why don't them [ __ ] It's talking about y'all that's not in relationships. I don't even think y'all
- 1:43:14
situationship correctly. I think there's a way to even do that
- 1:43:19
fly and age appropriate where hey, this is who you into. This is where you investing. This is who's picking you up,
- 1:43:25
helping you, holding you accountable, keeping you in on a snowy night, making you some chili. Y'all just didn't take
- 1:43:31
it. just didn't proud. She made a face. She didn't agree. No, I'm just saying. Doesn't this like kind of fly in the face of everything
- 1:43:37
that you say when you talk about like the younger chicks are looking and want the older dudes?
- 1:43:42
Yeah. But you're talking about the these older dudes being at home lonely because they
- 1:43:48
still have Peter Pan syndrome. Yes. I don't How do the two things How do the two things I don't understand. I don't
- 1:43:54
understand either. I don't I don't understand how the two things go together. Help me out.
- 1:44:00
You're saying that like 47 48 you didn't progress in age, you didn't settle down, you're still out here da but then when
- 1:44:07
we're having conversations about like how women after a certain age are you know kind of left alone but men don't
- 1:44:13
seem to have the same problem that the younger chicks are going for the older guys just doesn't make it doesn't line up.
- 1:44:20
That could be part of it though is where yo that just because a younger chick might want to [ __ ] with an older dude
- 1:44:25
that don't mean an older dude want to settle down. A lot of these dudes don't want to settle down. They've been
- 1:44:30
running around so they picked up from what he was saying for mad long and now you feel stupid at 50 outside every day. And I know a bunch
- 1:44:38
of them that be outside just dating young girls just didn't settle down with anybody, right?
- 1:44:44
That's what I thought he was saying. Yeah. Like you had options. It's a lot of women that was dissing [ __ ] in their 20s, dissing these [ __ ] in their
- 1:44:50
30s. You got to about 39 and outside ain't the same. You look
- 1:44:55
crazy being outside every night. Even as a woman at 41 and 42 years old, you look crazy in [ __ ] blue on the Hudson
- 1:45:02
every single day. I want to add on to this point because what you said, I agree with what you're saying, but it could be taken wrong. We
- 1:45:09
not talking. It's nothing wrong with being single, being single, and putting yourself
- 1:45:15
first, right? That's what JLo just said. If if you put your I don't
- 1:45:22
Every time my name come up, that's what she just said. If you putting yourself first and prioritizing your time and
- 1:45:28
dating with intention and using the good lotion, scrubbing your feet, right? [ __ ] getting massages and [ __ ]
- 1:45:35
treating your body the way it's supposed to be treated. Hey, we ain't talking to you. We ain't talking to you. We talking about the people that's just feeling all
- 1:45:41
over the place. So the whole picture look dusty. I think a couple of That's a croc of [ __ ] though. I think a I think a couple of these
- 1:45:47
[ __ ] are trying to keep up appearances. They feel like I gotta let I have to still look lit even if it
- 1:45:53
ain't really lit. And the only way to really do that is to be outside and show
- 1:45:58
y'all every day. And that's my problem. That's sending the wrong message cuz none of them [ __ ] is lit to being sayless. Not none of you [ __ ] is lit. Y'all not lit
- 1:46:05
at all looking like that. It looks a hot [ __ ] It looks deodorantless.
- 1:46:10
At what? That's how it looks. It look like it ain't a dove. A dove in
- 1:46:16
sight. At what age? They look like when doves cry. And at what age you admitting Prince was
- 1:46:22
looking a little No. Yeah. At what age should they stop doing that? All women or men should stop going
- 1:46:29
to the spots every night, going to restaurants every night. I'm saying all this [ __ ] I have the exact opposite stance when me and my
- 1:46:35
girl fight about this. She be trying to say, "You dusty, [ __ ] Look at you outside." I'm like, "Girl, shut up." But
- 1:46:42
yeah, you need somebody to let you know when you're looking dusty. This it ain't cool.
- 1:46:47
Seriously, you said what's the age? What's the age, man? Tell me. It's about the spots, too. Like, you
- 1:46:53
could be outside every night, but go to like some [ __ ] regular. Yeah. And classy vibe.
- 1:46:58
A lot of these [ __ ] feel like they can't be regular. And you ain't If you outside every day, you ain't taking care of yourself.
- 1:47:04
You're not in the gym. You're not drinking green tea, dog. If you drinking liquor every day, period,
- 1:47:10
two and three shots a day, liquor, every just give me an example, fam. You're
- 1:47:15
doing pretty good if you do it. That liver not even really getting a chance to and [ __ ] don't drink no water. Nope. Nor do they stop at two or three.
- 1:47:22
Yeah. No, it's a group of y'all. I was thinking about this right when I was looking at these dusty [ __ ]
- 1:47:28
I was like, what are the pivotal ages
- 1:47:34
for men right in their life? And what I came up with was your decisions from 18
- 1:47:42
to 25. Yep. Mhm. That's that's are going to mold life.
- 1:47:49
And I want to say again somewhere between 35 and 34 and 40.
- 1:47:57
No, you got to go to 26 26 to whatever is important. 30 to 35, you should be making some real
- 1:48:03
[ __ ] like 26 to 33. See, to me, 30 to 35, you could fail a little bit. If you if you entered your
- 1:48:09
30s not having it together, you could take them first five years. But 35 to 40, 41,
- 1:48:15
those two stages to me are going to pretty much set up what your life looks like. And see, I feel like if that that
- 1:48:21
earlier that what you said 18 to 25, yes, if that foundation is [ __ ] up,
- 1:48:28
you kind of on the wrong path already. You can correct. You can It's hard to correct though. I don't I feel I feel like I feel like
- 1:48:35
you [ __ ] around 18 to 25, 26, 27 even. But you learn, you have to learn from. But then 28 29 comes along. You're like,
- 1:48:42
"Oh [ __ ] here comes 30." And that seems to be a time where people like are like, "Whoa." I think Joe discredited the 30 to 35. I
- 1:48:48
think the 30 to 35 is second base. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's supposed to be buckling down. I think you're supposed to start getting
- 1:48:54
a plan in action that you going to try and execute at early 40.
- 1:48:59
It's When does it hit these [ __ ] though? Like does it ever hit go in the house?
- 1:49:05
Go in the house. I think they hit him at I think it's I think it hit them already. No, I think it's hitting them at 40.
- 1:49:10
And they ignored it. Yep. And they [ __ ] fight. They can't They don't know because I don't know life
- 1:49:16
without it. I don't know the other side of that. And it scares the [ __ ] out of me. So, I got to do this.
- 1:49:22
We sound like judging [ __ ] right now. But I am judging.
- 1:49:27
I'm not judging nobody. I'm trying to tell them the truth. You [ __ ] need to go to Restoration
- 1:49:33
Hardware. Bob's Furniture somewhere. Restoration Hardware. No, no, they
- 1:49:38
can't. Go buy a love seat. Go buy something to make you want to sit your hot, dusty ass
- 1:49:45
down in your house, [ __ ] Watch Wheel of Fortune. The soaps, find you a good something to binge,
- 1:49:51
man. Just get a while you outside. I say all the time, just get a hobby. These [ __ ]
- 1:49:56
smell like mosquito bites and oil. Cella. Yeah, you [ __ ] is in the club
- 1:50:03
smelling like central and looking the opposite of skin so soft. Yo,
- 1:50:09
you are idiot, bro. There's got to be a moment in which it hits you. You know, like you look around the club and you're like,
- 1:50:15
"All right, I shouldn't be here anymore." There's got to be a And I remember when that moment was for me.
- 1:50:22
X. Shout out to you. I remember when that moment was for me. I No, I do not be in the spot. I do not
- 1:50:28
be in the spot. That's the point is I am not in the spots. I've been in the spots for a long time. But I think I was like turning 37
- 1:50:37
or something like that and I was in Greenhouse and I was high as [ __ ] and it was my birthday and I'm you know
- 1:50:43
we was there. I was there. We were there. Go ahead. But it was just it was the moment for me
- 1:50:49
where I was just like I was just kind of looking around at the crowd. I was just like I got to get the [ __ ] this ain't for me.
- 1:50:54
This ain't for me no more. It ain't it just ain't for me, you know? outside. But then when that Waka and Rosco came
- 1:51:00
on, I got out of that mode. We got that verse came on. All right. It is for me. No.
- 1:51:07
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But no, it's a it's a point that hits you when you look around and start looking at [ __ ] jeans
- 1:51:13
and they got the little gray in the white part. Yeah. Look like they had them on for a week. Then a couple of the Taz Angels come.
- 1:51:19
I'm out of here. I remember. I remember. I'm blowing around. Once you start running into people, they still around all the time and they don't even
- 1:51:26
necessarily they just be out too. Mhm. That should kind of start being And that was the thing too.
- 1:51:31
That's the thing too is I was seeing No, that's being too mixy in the night life. When you start knowing people like
- 1:51:38
you shouldn't really know them. Yeah. They're not in your life for real. Yeah. From like 15 years ago in the
- 1:51:44
club. I was like, "Nope, I can't be that. If that's what he looks like and I'm judging him, I got to get the [ __ ]
- 1:51:50
out of here." Dog, today I I leave a spot when people are too happy to see me. Yeah, me too. I leave a spot today when
- 1:51:56
[ __ ] are smiling. too many. Let me tell you where you [ __ ]
- 1:52:01
No, I don't. I'm out of here. That just that just let me know that I don't be outside.
- 1:52:06
Like when people see me like I went to something in my hood a couple weeks ago and it was 5,000 people there.
- 1:52:13
But won't go to a horror flick. This sound like a horror flick. Sound like 5,000 people in the hood.
- 1:52:19
You're [ __ ] It was a It was a R&B flick. But don't stop walking. What happens?
- 1:52:24
You're [ __ ] dog. It was No, it was a R&B uh house music [ __ ] in my hood and I went there and it was just people that I
- 1:52:30
didn't see in mad long even the [ __ ] that's in my age group and I it felt good seeing them cuz I don't be outside
- 1:52:36
like that. That's different between the two. That's the difference between two
- 1:52:42
different things because something like that is would Ish exact politician right here. You
- 1:52:48
would [ __ ] die. I'm leaving. My social battery is drained. You would never even go cuz I don't
- 1:52:53
Yeah, I don't be outside like that. Your social battery is like a D. Yep.
- 1:52:58
Like the big [ __ ] The big ones with the rectangle. He got the nine. Put the rectangle. The big ones.
- 1:53:04
Yeah. Yeah. With the spring on it. N shorty told me it was a triple A.
- 1:53:12
But I was wrong for kissing on Yeah, man. That's cool. I got me some of that sugar, [ __ ]
- 1:53:21
The brown sugar. Oh man. No, but these [ __ ] do. And the
- 1:53:28
chicks. Anyway, sorry audience that we went on a dust diet tribe. We very judgy up here.
- 1:53:34
I judging people in their 40s. Judging people is one of the funnest pastimes. Really?
- 1:53:39
I don't be with it. But I just I'm not judging, but I can see it. You judging. You just might not be
- 1:53:46
vocal. A [ __ ] with a wheelchair with no disability in the airport. You can't judge. [ __ ] You can't judge. I'm judging everybody waiting in line.
- 1:53:55
All right. Uh, all right. New music. New music. New music. Let's do it. Let's do it. There's a lot
- 1:54:01
that came out today. Where y'all want to start, man? The good, the bad. What we What we doing? God does like ugly.
- 1:54:08
Jit is hard. Jit is hard. We talked about it. Shout Patron. Subscribe if you're not there
- 1:54:13
yet. Uh, I love Jid's album. To me, it's a album of the year contender. Yep. I'm not saying I'm putting it above
- 1:54:19
anything yet, but it's in that mix. It's in that mix. I I I came in here and said I had high expectations for this album.
- 1:54:26
And if this album met those expectations, it was time for a conversation. I do believe it's time to
- 1:54:31
start putting his name in them conversations. And this album is I'm with you. A definite album of the year
- 1:54:37
contender. Like straight through. This is a fire fire album. It ain't just cuz
- 1:54:42
we talked to him like Yeah. It was fire before I had a word with you. Exactly. This just a great album
- 1:54:49
rapping. I like that he he got records where I I slow it down a little bit. I'm
- 1:54:54
not I'm a I'm a great technical rapper. Rapidity rap lyrical miracle, but I'm also doing this over here.
- 1:55:00
There's some [ __ ] there for the hoes, but let's just say it like it is. Yeah. He's got a Thai record that's fire. He's got a Jesse Reyes record that's fire.
- 1:55:06
And then he's got a bunch of records where he's rapping his ass off. Yeah. And it is it is great. Go check out our
- 1:55:13
interview. What you want me to play? Um, you could play. We cuz I'm trying to
- 1:55:18
think of what we played on the show. It doesn't matter. Um, that was the intro. We played the intro.
- 1:55:23
We played the intro. We played community. Um, that feature clips. Uh, you can play VCRs.
- 1:55:29
VCRs is that [ __ ] That Vince versus unbelievable. That [ __ ] is fire.
- 1:55:35
Fire. Vince Vince versus you get the Vince versus I didn't want to cut that right there,
- 1:55:40
but Yeah. Yeah. It is. It is what it is. The album is really, really great. Again, our interview with him, he he was
- 1:55:46
amazing. Go check that out. Uh, but there's a lot of new music, too. I mean, we had we got a Tiller album.
- 1:55:54
Okay. Um, we did get the new the first of two Bryson Tiller albums. This one is
- 1:55:59
Devices, which is actually the second disc. Yeah. From what how it's laid out. I I don't understand what's
- 1:56:04
We got a rap Tiller album. Yes. That's That's the best way to put it. Not for me.
- 1:56:09
Not for me. respectfully friend of the show. Not for me. I knew the I saw and I try not to judge
- 1:56:16
this way. I saw the track list and the feature list features and I was just no not I just said okay this maybe he may
- 1:56:25
be doing something different than what I'm expecting or than what I love Bryson Till to do, right?
- 1:56:31
And I ain't mad at him about it. He came up here and said, "Listen, I'm a rapper. I'm an MC. I love this [ __ ] I can't see
- 1:56:37
life without doing it. You all that [ __ ] you want in MC." So cool. I want him to feel whole. Pause.
- 1:56:43
Mhm. R&B tiller is my bad. Yeah. And I I mean I'm not even mad at the art. He can rap.
- 1:56:49
Yes. I would just like if he's going to do the rap album, I would like it to be a little more wppy. It felt in like a weird in between place that didn't
- 1:56:55
execute for me personally, but there maybe some people that love it. Listen, I met you by delivering arguably
- 1:57:02
the most impactful album of last decade. It's up there.
- 1:57:07
Kind of invented a sub genre. Yeah, it'd be tough to figure out an album
- 1:57:12
that had a bigger impact last decade than that one. Well, at least from black people. I don't know about no white the
- 1:57:18
white albums. I didn't think about that. We ain't really got the most right now. It's been It's been a rough. That's a good one. I'm I'm I'm trying to
- 1:57:24
think. Trap 12. Was that 2014? I don't remember.
- 1:57:29
Somewhere in there. It might have been 12. Anyway, might anyway. Listen, I'm waiting for the next joint.
- 1:57:35
I know he's going to go crazy. Even though I'm not mad at him and Ross. I like that record a little bit. I'm not mad at the Him and Ross record.
- 1:57:41
I'm not mad at the Him Plaza and T Payne record. Oh yeah. I'm not mad at that one. That's my one that I
- 1:57:46
Those are my two records on there. Exactly. Everything else I'm going to wait for disc one.
- 1:57:52
Yeah. Of this project. But shout out to Bryson Tiller friends of the show. And we'll be seeing him cuz he's on a crystal.
- 1:57:57
You goddamn right. So we'll be seeing if he get up there rapping. I'm bringing my bow and arrow
- 1:58:03
pellet gun. Bringing my BB gun. We got P Rock Marciano EP/Min album. I
- 1:58:09
don't know how they're classifying it, but um I I love it a lot. If you're a fan of them gentlemen, they delivered
- 1:58:14
exactly what you're looking for. Um that Juicy J tape is hard, bro.
- 1:58:20
My Sleepers from the Juicy J tape. Oh, we don't have Sleepers. Oh, if we don't have sleepers, I'm playing this record right now.
- 1:58:26
If we don't have sleepers, I'm playing this record right this second. Nobody really safe with my [ __ ] on
- 1:58:32
there. There's a there's a lot of really good records on there. Hold up.
- 1:58:37
And y'all told me to. I'm so mad I didn't Oh [ __ ] I still didn't listen to it yet. Hey
- 1:58:43
dog, this is Juicy J. Yeah. You know what I was thinking about when I was listening to this album is
- 1:58:50
they never put him in the conversation of best producer MC's ever. And he is.
- 1:58:55
He's in that conversation. He should be in here. He's in the top five at least.
- 1:59:00
No argument for me. Maybe. You want to talk about impact and Oh, let's go Whiz.
- 1:59:06
Forgot Whiz came up here this year. We had a lot of [ __ ] up here.
- 1:59:12
That [ __ ] is fire. That record is so hard. That tape is super fire. Uh, Head on a Swivel. It's out now. Tape is fire
- 1:59:20
through and through. Um, we also got a new Mazy album, Intruusive Thoughts 2.
- 1:59:27
Mazi fans, you already know what to expect. This is that. It's the exact same [ __ ] that Mazi gives us, which I I
- 1:59:33
tell y'all all the time. I don't always be wanting people to step out their bag when it works, right? Like some people, okay, cool. Get you're
- 1:59:40
doing the same thing. Mazy is gutter street hard raps over great production. Um, we
- 1:59:47
were doing sleepers. I had a sleeper off of this. [ __ ] I played one last spot, but I I'll save it.
- 1:59:53
You know, I don't like deluxes, but we got a deluxe of Life is Beautiful, Alchemist, Two Chains, and June. How many How many new joints? Uh, two or
- 2:00:00
three. Um, this this chains, man.
- 2:00:05
I like what because he sound like he just having a conversation with Shane. He was going. He ain't even rapping. He just be talking to you. He was going.
- 2:00:11
We had all these [ __ ] up here. That's what I love. Oh, yeah. We had James up here, too. We did. I love that we had these guys up here
- 2:00:17
and they out there showing their ass paws. I love that. Absolutely love that. This shape, this
- 2:00:22
is a a fire year for rap, man. The summer has stuffed a lot of [ __ ] to drop. Finally. Finally. It was a slow first
- 2:00:28
half of the year, but this last couple months has been heat. Thank God.
- 2:00:34
Yo, none of y'all [ __ ] beefing with this boy can [ __ ] with him right now. I don't know who's beefing with him.
- 2:00:39
You so stupid. I don't know. No, they should just leave him leave him alone. None of y'all that have a gripe with him
- 2:00:47
can do nothing with him at this particular moment. They're saying ever.
- 2:00:52
Hold on now. And I'm going to say, hold on. Okay, cuz I'm going to add on to what you said. Sorry. Go ahead. Go ahead. You were right too. You called it as far as Thug
- 2:01:00
and Gunonna relationship. You said all that is smok and mirrors, but when it come to business, when he brought him
- 2:01:07
out on stage and stuff, you called that whole thing when a lot of people was like, "Yo, Thug ain't going to mess with him or none of that." I just want to acknowledge. I saw that
- 2:01:13
the other day. I'm sorry, Freeze. No, no, you good. You said they can't mess with him now. They haven't been
- 2:01:18
able to mess with him since he came home pretty much. Yeah, it's been He's been on a run. He
- 2:01:25
has for a couple years now. It's almost like y'all needed him.
- 2:01:32
Listen, a lot of songs on this Gunner project. If you haven't made your way through the entire album, it just came
- 2:01:38
out. I totally understand. There's heat on here. A lot of heat on here. I also understand if you saying
- 2:01:45
that some of the songs early on, maybe one through three, one through four, have the same kind of vibe. That's a
- 2:01:52
turnoff for some people. For me, it does not. If you are really really really good at
- 2:01:57
this at your vibe then by by all means produce
- 2:02:02
albums sometimes should have the same vibe. I'm not mad at that. I'm not necessarily with the mixtape
- 2:02:09
album [ __ ] that we get. Yeah. All over the place. Just not cohesive. Something for everyone. Like I mean it's
- 2:02:15
dope when it's executed but I'm also okay with it being hey I bought gunner
- 2:02:20
and he gave me gunner. Hey, I bought Alchemist and Gibbs and they gave me Alchemist and G. Like, I'm okay with
- 2:02:26
that. That's what I was saying about Mazi album. That right there. Like I I got it exactly what I wanted to get from you,
- 2:02:32
right? We talked about Bryson and I'll pay that one. We talked about
- 2:02:37
Bryson and it was like, "All right, this is not what we wanted from you. Somebody might like it,
- 2:02:43
but that's what I mean." Exactly. Right. What I give Gunner credit for is
- 2:02:48
you clearly are at odds with the label. Everybody knows this is the last album
- 2:02:54
on said label and you still handed in 25 quality records.
- 2:03:00
Unheard of, right? Can't not make quality. Unheard of to me. Right. He might have tried to give him a bad album and it
- 2:03:06
didn't work. That's never good anyway. Yeah. Yeah. And you don't want to step on your own brand.
- 2:03:11
Yeah. Keep You don't want to put up bad tape. We used to. Yeah, we used to cuz we just wanted to get out
- 2:03:18
the deal and this is [ __ ] up and our fans will understand when we come back with the next project. They they 86 that way of thinking and
- 2:03:25
and they were correct. They were like you should not do that to them. Gunonna great project.
- 2:03:30
And the other thing I like about him, I ain't really heard a peep from Gunner. Yeah.
- 2:03:35
About nothing like Yeah. He he I'm putting out heat. I'm doing my
- 2:03:40
tours, my shows, and then I'm gone. And all them [ __ ] can't [ __ ] with me.
- 2:03:46
And it's quiet. It's quiet. You let the work do the talking. That's my point. Just let the work do the talking, dog.
- 2:03:53
Gunonna is doing some like Atlanta Kendrick type [ __ ] He is. I forgot how silent he's been. He
- 2:03:59
said a word. Mhm. Mhm. He been chilling mad locate, bro. It's been about two and a half,
- 2:04:06
maybe. Almost three years. Yeah, it's almost three years now. Yeah. Three albums, not a peep.
- 2:04:11
Came out, got out that contract, went right to work, working out, looking great, traveling, moving like he's
- 2:04:18
supposed to move. That's how that's how you keep your head above. Not looking dusty. Not looking dusty. We probably better
- 2:04:24
off telling you who not looking dusty. The most of the field is looking dun don't look dusty.
- 2:04:30
No. No. He look like that good exfoliation. Uh, what else? What else?
- 2:04:36
What else came out? Uh, This guy's a girl. Yo. Oh, Mel. Why you
- 2:04:43
do that? Sorry. You can't even help yourself. I You're right. I can't. I'm sorry. And you you talk about me when I'm You do. Yes. It's this whole thing over
- 2:04:50
here. You look at my phone. I look at his a lot of [ __ ] on network, man.
- 2:04:56
It's our girl. It's our girl. India Sean. Lucky day. Cotton Candy Boulevard in your phone and
- 2:05:02
on DSPs right now. I can't cut it off before Lucky Day comes on. I can't. Right. It go.
- 2:05:09
You get the point. It's heat. That's how it sounds. Buy it. It's out there in your phone and
- 2:05:15
on DSPs, India Shan, Lucky Day, Cotton Candy Boulevard. Mel just sent me something about Is this out?
- 2:05:21
Mhm. You want me to play it? I mean, it's new music. You know, I didn't vet. I don't just
- 2:05:26
play [ __ ] on air without my That ain't enough. That's enough for you. See, I vet more than you.
- 2:05:32
I need more than that. Don't people have the male cosign to play on has Is isn't an Wait, hold on.
- 2:05:41
It literally is a question. Is there a Is there an artist that is so dope to you that like they get an automatic
- 2:05:47
I got a whole list. Dope. Which way? Cuz you're dope. Dope to you may be different from dope to me.
- 2:05:53
For me, Leon I can see Leon Thomas' name and I'm
- 2:05:58
going to I know I'm going to love what I'm listening to because I love the sound of his voice. You know what I'm saying? Or or like or you could cuz you
- 2:06:05
was on a stage because you R&B head. Yeah. Not necessarily.
- 2:06:10
A highly functional R&B listener.
- 2:06:18
Is what are they trying to say? Yo, you are a highly functioning
- 2:06:26
R&B head. N for real. That's one. That was crazy. Um, but to
- 2:06:33
answer your question, Mel, there's people that I will purchase just off the strength of their name, but in terms of
- 2:06:38
playing on air on the broadcast without me hearing it, nah. Okay. Maybe whole.
- 2:06:45
Mhm. Yeah. That's That's it. Stop. Black Thought, too.
- 2:06:53
Oh, [ __ ] I know. I would I would bet the Black Thought record, but shout out to Blackout. There's a couple that I sent.
- 2:06:59
You'll play Kendrick. You'll play not without I'm not going straight on air. Hold on.
- 2:07:05
We went crazy with I guess it was during the beef time. Okay. Any of that we we playing, but even that
- 2:07:10
some of that we listened out there on air without putting an ear to it. Just putting I'm not doing that. Let's see
- 2:07:16
what Let's see what Mel wants us to hear. Butterflies.
- 2:07:21
This is This is in her bag right here with this. Hold on. Hey,
- 2:07:27
hold on. Okay, man. Okay. [ __ ] Mel. Mel trying to go to laundry man so bad.
- 2:07:34
Spin cycle washing. You got it from you got it directly from the source, huh?
- 2:07:39
Via text. I saw that. I read your whole conversation. Somebody text us this right to him.
- 2:07:46
Yo, that wasn't bad. Text me lit. But that's what Mel be doing. Stop
- 2:07:51
texting. Hey, I'm on the show right now. Send it to me. I'm going to get it played. That is not what happened. We're in the midst of the music. You are such a R&B
- 2:07:59
songress. Yo, a highly functional song.
- 2:08:04
You are such a brilliant
- 2:08:09
just R&B ass. Anyways, that does that does sound like he get a purchase. That was nice. I'm
- 2:08:16
going to get us a purchase. Uh let's see. We went over weapons. We went over Jason Lee stealing from the risk and
- 2:08:22
litigation fund. So wilding out can still happen. Uh let's see. You got
- 2:08:27
nothing on there, bro. Like, we went over music, we did Shakari, we went over dildos. Albby Shore's new
- 2:08:32
book, Mark, put that there. He's not here to tell us about it because he's sending morbid text from vacation. Yeah.
- 2:08:39
Uh, is Vegas dying?
- 2:08:44
I don't know, Joe. Is it? Who gives a [ __ ] Who cares? We going to move on, man. Anybody see
- 2:08:50
Cam? And uh Cam reply to Gilly and Gilly replied to Cam and Cam replied to Gilly
- 2:08:56
and Gilly replied to Cam. I think it's over now because Sierra, we got to have a talk about Sierra cuz Sierra uh
- 2:09:04
pointed out that Gilly was in the move [ __ ] get out the way video and he was derking.
- 2:09:11
Y'all didn't see the clip. I didn't see that. That wasn't him in the video though, right Joe? I don't have confirmation on that.
- 2:09:18
I hope it wasn't, but it may have been. He didn't deny it.
- 2:09:26
Wait, that was really I saw the clip. That was really No, that wasn't kill. Let's find the clip.
- 2:09:31
We don't need to find no clip. Look at it on your own time. Cuz what is it going to do? It ain't
- 2:09:36
going to help y'all look less stupid in the face. I got you sitting here listening to you. I'm sorry.
- 2:09:41
We don't know. We don't know. That's hilarious. am treated it like it was him and
- 2:09:48
put a book put a book in to that but I think Gilly has responded Gilly I love you so I'm not talking
- 2:09:53
about that Sierra [ __ ] but Sierra I think Sierra has like an
- 2:09:58
emasculation kink keep going from the gym [ __ ]
- 2:10:06
gym and now this I'm just waiting on strike three
- 2:10:11
but it seemed like she's just visiting our our our [ __ ] are our our macho
- 2:10:17
[ __ ] and just throwing some girly wrench in [ __ ] like yo if I ever
- 2:10:24

- 2:16:45
My sister is 38 and has always wanted children, but she's never had a healthy relationship.
- 2:16:50
Her current boyfriend is a drug drug addict and a thief." Oh, okay. This girl is going to be playing.
- 2:16:57
This girl is white. Whoever this is, this is white. While she doesn't use drugs herself,
- 2:17:03
uh, she's epileptic and gets tested at work. I can see how much this man is draining her. She's lost weight. And
- 2:17:10
though she seems to be in better spirits some days, she used to be in a harsh she used to be harsh and mean all the time.
- 2:17:17
I fear she's just trying to hold it together while settling for someone who adds nothing to her life
- 2:17:24
simply because she wants love, stability, or a family. It seems like
- 2:17:29
she's settling because she's afraid of being alone or running out of time.
- 2:17:34
I'm two years I'm two years younger than my sister and we haven't spoken in over 3 years due to
- 2:17:42
a personal fallout. I'm really worried about her, but I
- 2:17:47
don't know how to uh re reinitiate contact. I don't want to come off as
- 2:17:52
judgmental, but I also don't want to stay silent while she's stuck in something that could be damaging.
- 2:17:58
Mhm. Has anyone been in a similar position trying to reconnect with a
- 2:18:03
sibling you cut off, especially out of concern for their safety and well-being?
- 2:18:09
How do you reach out without reopening old wounds or making things worse?
- 2:18:16
Wow. Um, yes, I have. I've been in situation with sibling that I cut off. Um, I came
- 2:18:25
and told y'all that we've recently reconnected. Um, you can't do it without
- 2:18:30
opening those old wounds though. Mhm. Um, that's the first step towards the
- 2:18:36
reconnection though. Like y'all going to have to get that out the way. There's no way around. It's like address the
- 2:18:41
elephant in the room type [ __ ] With enough time has passed. Hopefully y'all could be in cooler places and y'all can
- 2:18:47
talk. And once you get that passed, y'all can rebuild your uh relationship. You got to cry. You good?
- 2:18:53
No, I'm not about to cry. Cry freeze. He starts stumbling at you. Good. I'm perfectly fine.
- 2:18:58

cried at birds don't sing. I didn't cry at birds don't sing. Absolutely. Did cry? No, nobody cries, but I was crying at
- 2:19:17
the bar. That's some white [ __ ] Cry at the bar. Yeah, it's absolutely white therapy. the lemon drop.
- 2:19:26
Um, I don't have no advice for you. I think you should mind your [ __ ] business. And if you was my sibling and I was
- 2:19:32
running around happy with my drug addict significant other, then yeah, I cut you
- 2:19:37
off for a reason. Every time you popped up, you was on some positive [ __ ] He cut her off. He cut Yeah.
- 2:19:43
By the letter by that, he cut her off. Mhm. Mhm. And now he's seeing her and he wants to
- 2:19:49
reconnect. No. No. Don't reconnect. Stick to Stick to whatever uh whatever you was on.
- 2:19:55
Whatever you was on, we still on there. Don't come back. Jay Whittle, where is

- 2:20:11
Yo, normalize identifying the family members that you never want to speak to again. Ish did.
- 2:20:17

- 2:20:38
You got to stop jamming [ __ ] up like a lot of [ __ ] you got to eat. They stepped to you too. They told me. I was like I told you I was still cool.
- 2:20:44

- 2:20:51
Yeah, I know that cuz you guys could tell me on the balcony. But we can't do that. You know what? It's It's like the songs
- 2:20:57
that you don't want to play until you vet them. I got to vet what the [ __ ] comes out of y'all's mouth before. See why I need to vet? I went and played
- 2:21:02

- 2:21:51
Yeah, this might be the same kind of situation, huh? But I was ready to ride balls to the wall and not talk to your brother.
- 2:21:57
I'm ready to not talk to [ __ ] for the rest of my life with your balls to the wall. That's a weird way to vibe.
