it was a song. There was a couple songs in there. Couple songs, but there was one um that people really kind of felt strongly

about, but the hour and a half to me was was surprising. It was the least interesting

hour and a half I've spent in a really really long time watching something and I was locked in cuz you know coffee

a lot of coffee. Um I can see how that might lock you in.

Triple espresso. Yeah. Triple quadruple. But as I was watching it I was kind of waiting for something interesting to happen. It was

him kind of just driving around and and it was and you heard some of the some of the uh songs from the from the

party album. You heard some stuff. You heard the new one. you saw him hugging this really beautiful woman sitting in

his room with interesting art. I mean, it was beautiful. Aesthetically, it was beautiful, but it was like directionless. Um,

contentwise. Content wise, it just wasn't saying much of anything, which is what all of these have been so far, by the way. Like, I've I've watched

them all, but by watching, I mean, scrolling through all of the absolutely

nothing to get to the things that happen, which are minimal and and and it's Yeah, that's what it

was. It was it was absolutely it was absolute nothingness. I'm trying to think of u I think that's dope. Do you? But is it

retention? The game is retention. If I ain't even got to do Y'all got to do all the crazy [ __ ] to keep people watching.

he can rap and if you I like when he raps, so for me it was worth listening to, but it don't feel like it should be the third thing you release.

but this has been the streams like it's been hours of nothing with two seconds

of I think I think people with this one in particular thought the album was coming. Yes, that's really what it was. They thought

the album was coming. Um, was the other streams on Thursday nights? I think I don't remember specifically. I

remember them being We have lives. I remember them being days. No, no, I'm just saying I I saw a lot of

talk even leading up to this. Oh [ __ ] This one is the one the album's coming. I don't know where they got it from, but

a lot of people kind of suit themselves up to think that he's dropping the album tonight. Let Let me

ask y'all. True. So when when he streams Yeah. they get the analytics and all that [ __ ]

from the stream. I'm sure. Yeah, he does. So I think this is potentially him building back up his fan base to see

that, yo, when I drop, are they going to support me? If [ __ ] is willing to sit

there and watch me ride around for an hour and a half and it's 70 zillion [ __ ] in my stream, that means

that when my album drops, we kind of getting back in the public favor. Okay, I think I think it might be listen

regardless when his album drop. I think he if Drake dropped that album right this second,

we're hitting pause. Everybody's going to stop and listen to this album no matter what. People who love him, people who hate him, people

who looking to say, "I told you he back. People to say, "Look, he fell off." It's it's it's going to happen. He's just

that big of an artist at this point. I think he's tapping into streaming is very popular. I think he's he's been dabbling with it with Aiden and with Ka

and all them. I think that he is tapping into it and trying it out. And I think he's trying different [ __ ] from the website to the Instagram drops to the uh

all the different the content [ __ ] that he dropped. Like I think he's just trying different [ __ ] to see what works for the Amazon [ __ ]

Yeah. Like I think he's just trying [ __ ] which I kudos. This ain't working. But it's not great content to me.

That's all I'm saying. He don't need the money. Yeah, I I I feel you about the engagement. Yeah. You know, you can't It's hard to

say no one need. What I'm saying is I think his stature is so high. I think it's I want him to constantly put out

high level art and nothing like if if if he was a different artist like look, if you can make this much money, [ __ ] it. Just do it. I'm like I rather him

I'm think about legacy for him. Yeah. See, and I think he stopped doing that a long time ago.

may sound, I never seen such a dominant artist find themselves in such a make or

break position with a with a album. Like this album is very make or break no

important release for him, which is probably why he's focusing on

the streaming and doing it this way. He got some advanced analytics somewhere that's telling him to do it this way.

In fairness, there hasn't been that many artists of this magnitude to even compare to. like Mike

the Beatles. I guess Eminem you'd have to throw in there. There's not too many people where it's like

they were in this position and it ain't Yeah. It ain't too many people that been through what he been through either. Yeah. Especially LeBron at this.

from what he's been doing for the past few years. So, I do think they will make the album. But that stuff that he's been doing for the last, pardon me,

the stuff he's been doing for the last couple years hasn't kept him at the elite level that

everybody holds him at, right? He's actually getting flak for the [ __ ] that he been putting out the last couple

years. So, I think these are literally testers that he's throwing out. He got his fillers out today

hearing what the responses are from the masses. And I think he gonna be led in that in that direction. So that first

[ __ ] that we played that everybody saying it was flyer. Yeah. He going to start leaning into that direction more. If he do that, that's the Drake I've

always loved. That's That's the Drake I actually love. I think that [ __ ] is What did I miss? To Joe's point, I think that second song

the argument was maybe they were doing that to block Drake. The death jam was potentially rushing this Bieber piece

out to push back against Drake and to undermine his success. Is that a crazy theory? No, I believe it. You believe it? Mhm.

I don't believe that, but Well, I believe it only because this is the second time. Mhm. Yeah. First with uh

Clips. First time with Clips, now with Drake. How many Bieber audles does

[ __ ] Well, I mean, [ __ ] That's what it tells me, too. That clearly they they ain't been at Justin Bieber house in a while.

I don't know who the [ __ ] they think he is anymore. He ain't the guy that's about to stop. He ain't stopping Drake.

Again, to these artists today, the number one that week is like, "Yeah, diamond."

two two discs. The second disc is really just the first album. Swag one. Yeah. Yeah. Never before has there been a rapper to

rap as great as Drake raps. Not rap like

this. Not great anymore. For a long time. For a long time. Hey, not J. That ain't never happened before,

dog. We talked about this when he did the uh Scary Hours 3 joint, which was rapping. We already had our We got to

rehash that. Yeah, but the masses ain't take to that. They don't want to hear it. They don't want to hear that. And again, Drake

ain't just rapping for one particular audience no more. See, I hate this. I'm so tired. But D, what the [ __ ] you want?

Let me speak, man. That that album is not what we're talking about. Drake rapping great. We're not like go get

Alchemist and conductor like he was rapping over boy one to beats greatly. He was rapping over hit records greatly.

He doesn't have to go do boom bap to Yeah, that scary hours [ __ ] wasn't I

know that you keep painting it like that but it don't address the point like he was rapping in record. Yes, I

agree. He ain't been making hits period like that since. All right. So you're not making hits and you're not rapping great. I think he's

still been rapping great. That's where we we differ. Just what you're saying, there's a period, and you may disagree on this,

y'all. You both all y'all may disagree, but I thought there was a period after the Eminem show um where M had a couple of really uninspired albums. He was No one he

wraps his ass off, but but he had a string of albums that just weren't good and they felt uninspired to me. He did.

Um is that where Drake is now? Is he uninspired or is he just trying to be so strategic that he's that he's

I think that he's trying to appeal to youth and youth culture and it's not really working because he's also 38.

Like you don't have to try to do this. I think in an attempt to stay in that major pop star lane and be young and

appeal too young, it's backfiring in my opinion. I agree. That's a really good point.

At some point I want you to feel like part of this fully and so part of the last name thing is more so that you don't always look like the outsider when

we go to school when we register for things that you got. You see what I'm saying? So I'm just saying there is another

that falls sometimes that gets embarrassing. It doesn't. No. Sometimes that falls with the with the person with the parent, not the kid.

The kid don't usually care about that. That may fall with the parent. The parent depends on what class level you at. In

the hood, it don't matter because we all got different names. But if you at one of these private fancy schools that they at and everybody's a

had a backdoor contract deal that circumvents the salary cap. Yes. By taking a deal with a company uh that

Clippers owner Steve Balmer has deep investments and initially they said 24 million. And then I think the number now as of today was moved up to 48 million

partly because it was partly stock 28. I'm sorry. It was 28 and then it went to 48 because stock options

but he never he's it's reported he's never been paid from the stock options. Yes. But I'm just saying that was the today they just added the stock options

to the conversation which made the potential number higher. Um and if this were true

it would be a bombshell in the NBA. And just to be clear, these were allegations that were made when he first signed

because his uncle, Quailin's uncle, made a lot of demands of the team. He wanted a house. He wanted a private plane. He

wanted guaranteed advertisements. He wanted part team ownership. Things that all circumvented the salary cap. The NBA

investigated it back then, but found out that there were no violations. They didn't give him any of it. But now

they're saying, "Wait a minute, he got a empty like he he got a a no-show job where he got signed to be

like a um a spokesperson for something and never went to work and still clicked." The company didn't exist, did it?

No, it existed. It existed. It may or may not have been a scam to begin with. Okay, that's what I was talking about. Okay.

And and that's the but that's the difference, right? It's the question is is this a fake company designed to pay

Kawhi Leonard back door or did Bulmer get hosed himself? Got it. which he may have.

And and that's what Mark Cuban who came to his defense was sort of I watched I watched that episode as well. That was that's a really good episode if you want to watch Son Pablo's

uh uh YouTube page. It's him and Mark Cuban going at it. Mark Cuban was essentially uh defending Balmer as much

as he could even though he's like listen he's my opponent. He owns a rival team. I am also a billionaire though and I can

see how he may have gotten caught up in this scam and he kind of was putting a lot of the um

in part his uncle is not a registered agent or any of the certified agent or anything like that. So he basically has

the ability to do this deal and there really not be any repercussions for it. He's like he's actually smart. He wasn't

trying to make him seem like a bad guy. He just made it seem like, listen, he didn't have anything to lose basically

by scamming this $50 and taking his cut. $50 million and taking a cut, right? Um it's intriguing, man.

It is. It is. I think the other piece of this that we have to remember though is that there is a gray area here because

sometimes when you go to a city, for example, in Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxi has a deal. Mhm.

The team is often sponsored by things like car companies, insurance companies, and those companies want to give deals

to players who play for the team. And if you leave that team, you lose the deal because we're the official sponsor of

the Sixers. And so sometimes it looks like a a secret deal to circumvent the salary cap. But sometimes it's just the

natural progression of being a star on a team in a city where companies are there and in the same galaxy. So, it it could

be a I don't I don't know who's lying, who's telling the truth. But I wouldn't assume the worst and I wouldn't assume

the best. I ain't mad at it. I'm sorry, bro. I don't like it if if I don't like it if
