  • 3:04

gap I give my kid is like

silk shirt and silk shirt and

  • 3:32

    >> winter time. Like, oh [ __ ]

  • 3:34

    >> that's that's that boy's culture. Or did

  • 3:36

you ever play the game where you drop

  • 3:38

the baby off back with the she sent him

  • 3:40

in cuz you don't ever see the costume

  • 3:42

    >> the game?

  • 3:43

    >> Yeah.

  • 3:43

    >> Yeah, that's that's

  • 3:45

    >> Yeah, that's it.

  • 3:50

    >> Oh, you washing. I send it back dirtier.

  • 3:54

    >> Spaghetti sauce.

  • 3:55

    >> I want my child to look cute all the

  • 4:17

    it.

  • 4:18

    >> Yeah.

  • 4:20

And the fit looked different when I put

  • 4:22

    it together.

  • 4:23

    >> That's what all dads say.

  • 4:25

    >> I think that I think there's a little

  • 4:26

bit of truth to that. The way dad's

  • 4:27

dressed the kid and how mom dressed the

  • 4:29

    kid is going to be

  • 4:30

    >> I think it's a boy thing, though. I

  • 4:31

think dad dress the boys nice. I think

  • 4:33

    dad's like Yeah,

  • 4:35

    >> she be having my daughter look fly.

  • 4:36

    >> Yeah, that's what I think it's

  • 4:38

    >> Well, maybe that's true with girls.

  • 4:38

    >> Yeah, it's girls.

  • 4:39

    >> Also, y'all, it's way easier to find

  • 4:42

baby um girl stuff than boy. You know

  • 4:46

    what I mean? It's cheaper. It's easier.

  • 4:47

Boy, you got to do a little more effort

  • 4:48

in. Put a little more effort in. You

  • 4:50

talking about I don't know. All them

  • 4:52

    children, you know.

  • 4:52

    >> We just They wear uniforms.

  • 4:55

    You the main one.

  • 4:56

    >> Oh, they wear uniforms.

  • 4:57

    >> They wear uniforms.

  • 4:58

    >> Oh, okay.

  • 4:59

    >> So, it's just getting money. Them

  • 5:00

  • 5:21

    >> Pick them up sometimes.

  • 5:27

    >> Since you ate spaghetti 8:00

  • 5:32

    eat spaghetti for a month.

  • 5:37

    >> Yo, like black people hate spaghetti

  • 5:39

because of that. Like our moms tortured

  • 5:41

    us with spaghetti. Y'all [ __ ] some

  • 5:42

    spaghetti.

  • 5:42

    >> Who ate spaghetti?

  • 5:44

    >> Y'all never was tired of spaghetti?

  • 5:45

    >> Hell no.

  • 5:46

    >> You had some spaghetti right now?

  • 5:47

    >> Tired of spaghetti? You can't be

  • 5:48

    >> So your mom didn't make y'all eat

  • 5:50

spaghetti every day for a week then?

  • 5:52

    >> Definitely.

  • 5:52

    >> Oh, no. We ate it.

  • 5:52

    >> Oh, then y'all was rich.

  • 5:54

    >> But I ain't never tired of it either. It

  • 5:56

was the same. It was the same pot. Yo yo

  • 5:58

    spaghetti.

  • 5:59

    >> What spaghetti though,

  • 6:00

    >> huh?

  • 6:00

    >> Just the noodles with the sauce.

  • 6:02

    >> You meat sauce. Come on, bro. I look

  • 6:05

like a Italian. I don't call it gravy,

  • 6:07

baby. I put sugar, ground beef, and

  • 6:09

green pepper onion. You wasn't broke

  • 6:11

    then.

  • 6:12

    >> Stop.

  • 6:12

    >> We still ain't get that food. You

  • 6:14

promise you broke. What's your point?

  • 6:15

    Got a point.

  • 6:16

    >> Listen, first of all, happy birthday,

  • 6:19

    Shade.

  • 6:20

    >> That's true. Most importantly, my

  • 6:21

birthday. That's a good save. That was

  • 6:23

good. That was good. That was good.

  • 6:24

    >> She had that to talk to.

  • 6:26

    >> Yeah, she did. This girl was good.

  • 6:27

    >> Yeah, she's good.

  • 6:28

    >> Listen, I ain't new to this.

  • 6:30

    >> Used to this and true to this? I

  • 6:33

    >> with your Yan on.

  • 6:34

    >> Thank you.

  • 6:36

    >> You want to pet it?

  • 6:37

    >> Yeah. No,

  • 6:38

    >> I'm good.

  • 6:38

    >> Touch it. It's a box, right? It's a fox,

  • 6:41

    right?

  • 6:42

    >> It's a fox.

  • 6:45

    >> No, it's a fox.

  • 6:46

    >> Shout out to my girl.

    >> We do have to start

  • 6:54

  • 6:56

    >> That wasn't me. That wasn't me.

  • 7:00

    >> It's all in good fun, guys.

  • 7:05

    >> But a house is not a home.

  • 7:07

    >> Why would I stay at a friend's house for

  • 7:09

    any reason? I don't stay at people's

  • 7:10

houses if they invite me on vacation.

  • 7:13

Why would you stay at a friend's house

  • 7:15

when if you can afford a hotel? Why

  • 7:17

would you put yourself through that?

  • 7:19

Just being up at night wondering like,

  • 7:21

    can I use this towel?

  • 7:24

    >> Why would you do that?

  • 7:26

    >> Got a point.

  • 7:27

    >> And then you wake up and they're all

  • 7:28

downstairs. We made breakfast. You want

  • 7:30

    a pancake? I'm like, no, I don't want a

  • 7:33

pancake. I want a hotel. Is there a

  • 7:35

hotel around here? I don't want to be

  • 7:37

rude, but I just need my space. And I

  • 7:39

jerked off in that towel upstairs.

  • 7:53

Keep this applause going for the best

  • 7:54

  • 9:23

    >> It wasn't that serious.

  • 9:24

    >> And your [ __ ] wasn't that serious?

  • 10:02

    me go.

  • 10:03

    >> Let me go to somewhere." And then I

  • 10:05

drove past Sunrise Senior Living and I

  • 10:07

walked in and they were looking at me

  • 10:08

like I was a crack addict. I think cuz I

  • 10:10

was at this point I was sweating and I

  • 10:11

was, you know, I dressed like somebody

  • 10:12

who's homeless sometimes. And I walked

  • 10:14

in and they were looking at me crazy and

  • 10:15

I said, "I'm just trying to take my

  • 10:16

mother into a nursing home." And so I,

  • 10:18

you know, they gave me a little speech.

  • 10:19

They talked me walked me around a little

  • 10:21

    bit. Thank God.

  • 10:21

    >> Oh, it was not that bad. had to [ __ ]

  • 10:23

    that bad.

  • 10:24

    >> And then I had to in the middle thing I

  • 10:25

said, "I'm sorry, can I use a bathroom?"

  • 10:26

And I stayed in there for like 20

  • 10:27

    minutes.

  • 10:28

    >> Okay.

  • 10:28

    >> Yeah.

  • 10:28

    >> It still wasn't that bad.

  • 10:29

    >> Mark, you did all of that to use a

  • 10:31

    public restroom to take a [ __ ] I

  • 10:33

    >> I was still 25 minutes from my house and

  • 10:35

I was about 35 minutes from here.

  • 10:36

    >> I have a question. You give me raw ass

  • 10:39

on seat. Do you line it?

  • 10:41

    >> Um,

  • 10:42

    >> is that too much? We talking about a

  • 10:44

    great question.

  • 10:44

    >> No, it's the right question.

  • 10:46

    >> You give me raw ass on seat. Well, cuz

  • 10:48

when she first heard it, I heard that

  • 10:49

different and I was I was

  • 10:51

    >> You give me your raw ass on the seat

  • 10:52

    with nothing.

  • 10:53

    >> I would never. I'm a squatter.

  • 10:55

    >> Okay. D with the poop.

  • 10:57

    >> Well, I've learned my lesson from that.

  • 10:59

    >> You got good knees.

  • 11:00

    >> Yeah. So,

  • 11:01

    >> squatting while [ __ ]

  • 11:02

    >> But, but in the living room,

  • 11:03

    >> squatter like you find homes

  • 11:06

    >> that are empty and you try.

  • 11:08

    >> No, cuz sometimes they don't have the

  • 11:10

    paper.

  • 11:11

    >> You got to just use the toilet paper.

  • 11:12

    Doctor it up.

  • 11:13

    >> I was afraid you meant that. You know,

  • 11:14

you know the kind But sometime the paper

  • 11:16

kind you got to take one sheet at a

  • 11:17

    time.

  • 11:18

    >> That's true.

  • 11:18

    >> So I just squat. But today

  • 11:20

    >> they had night it was a nursing home so

  • 11:22

they were super clean. Nice. Again,

  • 11:23

    shout out to Sunrise. Man,

  • 11:24

    >> you put bare ass on the nursing home

  • 11:25

    seat.

  • 11:25

    >> No, no, no. They had they had liners.

  • 11:27

They had liners. And I'll call him

  • 11:29

tomorrow and tell them I'm not really

  • 11:30

bringing my mother in on Sunday.

  • 11:31

    >> Squatting requires a shower after

  • 11:34

    >> the doodoo splash. But let's It's true.

  • 11:37

    But yeah, so

  • 11:38

    >> but I'm better now. All right. It uh Ish

  • 11:42

    is also here.

  • 11:43

    >> Ish is also here with us.

  • 11:45

    >> How was your morning?

  • 11:46

    >> Good day, sir.

  • 11:46

    >> Stomach not shitty.

  • 11:49

    >> Jesus. We got

  • 11:51

    >> our good brother Freeze is here. Ice

  • 11:52

going to change the whole flow of how we

  • 11:54

intro these things with that [ __ ]

  • 11:56

    >> [ __ ] That was crazy. It's a weird ad

  • 11:58

    just

  • 11:59

    >> Yeah, really.

  • 12:00

    >> And he named the place. Uh Big Parks is

  • 12:02

here. Po is here. Cory's here. My dad is

  • 12:04

here. Erikson is here. Tanner and

  • 12:06

Savannah are here by remote last, but

  • 12:08

certainly not least, each and every one

  • 12:09

of you guys are here. As Mona has

  • 12:12

already stated, happy birthday to my

  • 12:14

    baby. I love you. Uh, how's everybody's

  • 12:16

    week?

  • 12:17

    >> How was your night? Cuz you I know you

  • 12:19

was outside. You had to be.

  • 12:20

    >> Yeah,

  • 12:21

    >> that's what I want to hear about.

  • 12:22

    >> That is a good question.

  • 12:23

    >> I thought you was going to limp in here

  • 12:24

cuz you know you got throw special dick

  • 12:25

on the birthday. You heard me?

  • 12:29

    >> So you can't walk straight.

  • 12:30

    >> I'm He's supposed to be limping. He

  • 12:32

older guy, you know what I mean? Was a

  • 12:33

bust ass last night. You hear me? No

  • 12:36

    excuses on my birthday, [ __ ]

  • 12:40

    >> No excuses on my birthday. I don't want

  • 12:41

to hear none of that [ __ ] Tired. I need

  • 12:44

    a nap. None of that.

  • 12:45

    >> I be scared.

  • 12:45

    >> Round one, it's my birthday. Parks, it's

  • 12:48

    12:00 a.m. Let's get it.

  • 12:50

    >> Happy birthday. Yeah, let's hear about

  • 12:53

    it.

  • 12:54

    >> Is that a Patreon?

  • 12:57

    >> No, we here.

  • 13:00

    >> We went to dinner.

  • 13:02

    >> A We went to dinner, man. Man, we had we

  • 13:04

had a good day. We had a good day.

  • 13:06

    >> You look happy.

  • 13:06

    >> We had a good time. Yeah. No,

  • 13:08

    >> freaky.

  • 13:09

    >> How many more days do you have planned?

  • 13:10

Or does she have planned? More

  • 13:11

    importantly,

  • 13:12

    >> I mean, it's going to be her birthday

  • 13:13

till Christmas numbers. Oh, I'm enjoying

  • 13:17

    it.

  • 13:17

    >> It's going to be a birthday till

  • 13:19

December. And all that [ __ ] you named,

  • 13:21

it's coming. Just got to start the car

  • 13:24

and go back in the house for a little

  • 13:25

    bit.

  • 13:25

    >> Let it warm up a little bit.

  • 13:26

    >> Let it Let it

  • 13:28

    >> You did good with the gifts.

  • 13:29

    >> Oh, I crushed the gift

  • 13:30

    >> so far.

  • 13:31

    >> Giving is my love language. Is it?

  • 13:33

    >> I don't know.

  • 13:34

    >> Damn.

  • 13:35

    >> I don't think anything else in the world

  • 13:40

    that

  • 13:41

    >> I said that once once I started

  • 13:42

    tricking.

  • 13:44

    >> No, you did really good though. They

  • 13:46

    were nice.

  • 13:47

    >> Yeah. Yeah. More on the way. You heard?

  • 13:48

    >> Yeah. G number. That's how I know. Talk

  • 13:50

about that part. You heard more on the

  • 13:52

    way.

  • 13:53

    >> Their gifts are numbered and they're not

  • 13:54

even like cuz you know us poor people,

  • 13:56

we'll like work, you know, work it up.

  • 13:58

So it's like the gift card first then

  • 14:00

the big boom is the last one. This [ __ ]

  • 14:02

    started out with big booms.

  • 14:04

    >> Oh,

  • 14:05

    >> it might not be. There might be a bigger

  • 14:07

    might be bigger.

  • 14:08

    >> It is. That's what I'm saying. Like her

  • 14:09

intro was like, you know what I mean?

  • 14:12

    >> How many days of gifts do you do

  • 14:14

    >> or stuff or big things?

  • 14:15

    >> 365.

  • 14:18

    >> She deserves it.

  • 14:19

    >> 365 days.

  • 14:21

    >> Fair enough.

  • 14:23

    >> You know what she get off that I'm not

  • 14:24

able to get off? And this is the only

  • 14:27

    [ __ ] that I'll talk cuz she think that I

  • 14:29

come on my podcast and just talk [ __ ]

  • 14:30

    >> What you do a little bit?

  • 14:33

Yeah, let's that way a little bit.

  • 14:35

    She duda just cuz spoiled

  • 14:39

you give her a great gift. She cry, "Oh,

  • 14:42

baby, you're the best. Love you so

  • 14:44

    much."

  • 14:47

    Then in the morning

  • 14:49

she'll like just walk by and say, "Yeah,

  • 14:52

    I I did think uh

  • 14:55

I mean uh I did think that that such and

  • 14:59

such was going to be part of the thing."

  • 15:01

    >> Oh wow.

  • 15:02

    >> Yeah. She one of those. She wanted one

  • 15:03

of those. I ain't mad cuz I did it too.

  • 15:05

Whatever the [ __ ] she gave me for my

  • 15:06

birthday, I was like, "All right,

  • 15:07

    school." But where's jellyfishes at?

  • 15:08

I've been talking been talking about

  • 15:09

jellyfishes for the last eight months.

  • 15:11

    You hit

  • 15:12

    >> You've been paying attention. Do y'all

  • 15:14

do like she makes a list or do you pick

  • 15:16

everything out? Like how do y'all do it?

  • 15:17

    >> A list of what?

  • 15:18

    >> What she wants? Whatever birthday.

  • 15:20

    >> No, the [ __ ] she like it can't be a list

  • 15:22

of you going get one of them. There's no

  • 15:26

list. But she had a great day. She had a

  • 15:28

    great day. That's what's up.

  • 15:30

    >> It was just tough. It was just it it was

  • 15:33

tough. I ain't going to sit here and act

  • 15:34

like tough Tony. It was tough giving her

  • 15:37

my undivided and full attention and

  • 15:40

keeping Rory's name in MY SEARCH BAR.

  • 15:46

    I CAN'T I'M NOT GOING TO LIE TO Y'ALL.

  • 15:48

Don't you hate when the drama land right

  • 15:51

when you're doing some [ __ ] you got to

  • 15:52

    do?

  • 15:53

    >> Oh my god.

  • 15:54

    >> I in the class early yesterday.

  • 15:57

    >> I was like, I'm sorry. I got something

  • 15:59

to do. I was right in spaces listening.

  • 16:00

But where do y'all want to start?

  • 16:02

    >> There.

  • 16:04

    >> Is that where you want to start?

  • 16:07

    >> Okay.

  • 16:07

    >> I don't know what y'all talking about. I

  • 16:08

    want to know.

  • 16:09

    >> Oh,

  • 16:11

    take it away. Hey,

  • 16:12

    >> brother Nuke.

  • 16:16

    >> Uh, a couple of days ago now,

  • 16:19

    >> uh, there was a, uh, a little bit of a

  • 16:22

    halaloo on social media.

  • 16:26

    >> I'm trying to do this gently, carefully.

  • 16:29

    U, it's actually started in a really

  • 16:31

interesting place, which was, uh, they

  • 16:33

were having a debate. Rory uh and his

  • 16:35

co-host were having a debate about or

  • 16:38

having a conversation about um GNX

  • 16:40

versus the Clips winning what would win

  • 16:43

the Grammy. And Roy had said that, you

  • 16:44

know, he wanted he was rooting for the

  • 16:46

    Clips to win the Grammy.

  • 16:49

    >> See, I love when somebody say something

  • 16:52

that I said too, but they get all the Oh

  • 16:56

    my god. I was like, "Oh [ __ ] that's

  • 16:58

    what they doing to him."

  • 17:00

    >> WELL, THAT'S WHAT WAS CRAZY ABOUT CUZ I

  • 17:02

    FEEL THE SAME WAY. I I think I don't

  • 17:04

know how felt about it, but Rory felt

  • 17:06

that way about it. And the the the the

  • 17:09

fans the Kendrick fans went went hard.

  • 17:12

    >> They started tweeting and trolling. They

  • 17:14

they were coming after me this week,

  • 17:14

too, for some stuff that, you know, they

  • 17:16

they do that. If you say one thing, they

  • 17:17

take it as like a act of violence.

  • 17:19

    >> Kendrick has a hive, huh?

  • 17:20

    >> Yeah. Okay. Oh, him. Yeah. Yeah. And if

  • 17:22

you say anything about Drake, it seems

  • 17:23

like anti- Kendrick and Kendrick is anti

  • 17:25

all that kind of [ __ ] But all the fans

  • 17:26

are crazy these days to me. So,

  • 17:28

    >> so anyway, so then they started digging

  • 17:30

into old tweets as part of their

  • 17:33

    >> full on assault [ __ ]

  • 17:35

    >> against our brother Rory.

  • 17:37

    >> And uh they went in the old tweets and

  • 17:40

they found tweets that were um

  • 17:44

    >> what

  • 17:45

    >> problematic to people?

  • 17:47

    >> What what

  • 17:48

    >> uh

  • 17:48

    >> you trying, boy? I'm giving it to you.

  • 17:51

    >> And so

  • 17:52

    >> but what kind of problematic?

  • 17:53

    Homophobic, transphobic, racist? They

  • 17:55

were they were interpreted as racist.

  • 17:58

    >> What?

  • 17:58

    >> Yeah. Now, to be clear,

  • 18:02

    >> I am.

  • 18:03

    >> Yeah. I I to

  • 18:05

    >> that [ __ ] up.

  • 18:06

    >> What's funny is you're not even being

  • 18:07

funny. Like people will think you're

  • 18:08

doing it. People think we set this up,

  • 18:09

    but we really didn't.

  • 18:10

    >> I didn't know.

  • 18:11

    >> Yeah. So So basically, and I don't want

  • 18:13

to rehash all the tweets, but some of

  • 18:15

them were like they were like from 15

  • 18:17

years ago. That's first thing. Second,

  • 18:18

some of them were RTS, right? So back in

  • 18:21

the day, old school Twitter, there was

  • 18:22

no retweet, but you typed RT and then

  • 18:24

wrote what the other person said. So

  • 18:26

    sometimes people were interpreting him

  • 18:27

as saying something that he actually

  • 18:29

didn't say. He was retweeting somebody

  • 18:31

else. A couple times he tweeted a rap

  • 18:32

lyric, you know, your chick is is

  • 18:34

looking at my rim. Some, you know, the

  • 18:37

lyric that they thought he was saying.

  • 18:38

    So

  • 18:39

    >> Mark, you doing like a word salad right

  • 18:40

    now.

  • 18:41

    >> So there was a whole she asked what the

  • 18:42

tweet said. So there was a bunch of

  • 18:43

tweets. Some of them were offensive to

  • 18:45

celebrities, some were uh seen as

  • 18:48

    anti-black woman, etc. That's what

  • 18:50

happened. Uh and then the the the other

  • 18:53

piece of it was he he defended himself.

  • 18:55

He went on spaces to explain his

  • 18:57

position uh and had a long very long 4

  • 18:59

    and 1/2 hour

  • 19:00

    >> and put on an absolute master class in

  • 19:04

how you should not defend yourself.

  • 19:05

    >> Yeah.

  • 19:06

    >> 4 and 1/2 hours is way too long.

  • 19:08

    >> An absolute boy that was

  • 19:10

    >> you said and how you should not

  • 19:13

    that

  • 19:14

    >> it is a way to do that. It really is.

  • 19:16

There's a science to it and apologizing.

  • 19:18

People don't know how to do it though.

  • 19:19

    >> So I I think what he did right. So then

  • 19:22

the and then the fourth step was finally

  • 19:23

he went on his show and offered an

  • 19:25

    apology particularly for the

  • 19:27

dismissiveness with which he dealt with

  • 19:29

the opening partation in the spaces

  • 19:31

    >> in the spaces. Dismissive, smug,

  • 19:34

    >> condescending,

  • 19:36

    >> snarky,

  • 19:36

    >> arrogant, snarky.

  • 19:38

    >> His position was uh his position was

  • 19:42

anybody that knows me knows that I don't

  • 19:44

hate black people. I'm not a racist.

  • 19:46

yada yada yada. People were trying to

  • 19:48

tell him, "We all don't know you,

  • 19:50

    right?" And

  • 19:51

    >> these this is how these tweets come off.

  • 19:53

A lot of the tweets were a lot worse

  • 19:54

than the looking in my rim rap lyric

  • 19:56

    part that

  • 19:57

    >> I want to know the worst.

  • 19:58

    >> I wouldn't read them.

  • 19:59

    >> I don't feel comfortable. I would I

  • 20:00

wouldn't even read them, but they they

  • 20:01

they were pretty bad. So I think people

  • 20:04

were just trying to hold him accountable

  • 20:05

and get him to at least acknowledge that

  • 20:08

in them resurfacing there are people

  • 20:10

that weren't around back then that are

  • 20:12

hurt that feel away that listen to you

  • 20:15

that follow you that look up to you yada

  • 20:17

    yada yada all of the

  • 20:18

    >> even the people that do know you they

  • 20:20

still be hurt about it even if they like

  • 20:22

people people get hurt by stuff like

  • 20:24

that especially when they support you

  • 20:25

    >> I think some people gave him grace

  • 20:27

because they know him like I know he's

  • 20:29

not racist so I'm going to look at the

  • 20:30

tweet differently and somebody know a

  • 20:32

white boy enough He can't say, "Nigga, I

  • 20:34

    don't care."

  • 20:35

    >> He didn't.

  • 20:36

    >> Oh, well, I'm just saying I usually just

  • 20:37

want to be clear white person enough

  • 20:39

that they could do racist [ __ ] but

  • 20:40

    whatever.

  • 20:41

    >> Yeah. I I I thought some of the the more

  • 20:43

tweets I saw, the more I was like,

  • 20:44

    "Yeah, that's that's even if I'm being

  • 20:47

generous, that's too much, right?" And I

  • 20:49

think that I think that he will likely

  • 20:52

address that. It got big. The story got

  • 20:53

bigger than I thought it would be. When

  • 20:54

    I saw on TMZ

  • 20:55

    >> Yeah, it was crazy.

  • 20:56

    >> Damn.

  • 20:56

    >> Yeah. When I saw on TMZ, I was like,

  • 20:58

    "Oh,

  • 20:58

    >> TM TMZ ball a lot." They It grew legs.

  • 21:02

It grew legs rather rather quickly.

  • 21:05

    >> Yeah.

  • 21:05

    >> Yeah, it did.

  • 21:06

    >> Yeah. And um mentioning Beyonce doesn't

  • 21:08

ever stop things from growing legs. So

  • 21:11

    >> So that's its own

  • 21:12

    >> He mentioned Beyonce.

  • 21:13

    >> Yeah.

  • 21:14

    >> Yeah. The Beyonce tweet.

  • 21:16

    >> Yeah. Rory's getting his [ __ ] off.

  • 21:18

    >> Yeah.

  • 21:18

    >> Rory's getting his [ __ ] off.

  • 21:19

    >> Yeah. 2011 was a different time.

  • 21:20

    >> Y'all agree that Twitter was like a

  • 21:21

    whole another place back then.

  • 21:22

    >> It was. It was. It was.

  • 21:24

    >> It was. I I wasn't doing

  • 21:26

    >> that. Just don't excuse anything.

  • 21:27

    >> Yeah. Yeah. No,

  • 21:28

    >> it was. I was there for it. I

  • 21:31

    participated.

  • 21:33

It just doesn't excuse anything if they

  • 21:35

ever if the tweets ever come up, which

  • 21:37

number one, I'm confused how people that

  • 21:40

have some stuff going on are not doing a

  • 21:44

    forensic

  • 21:45

    >> bro

  • 21:45

    >> cleanse on their across their social

  • 21:47

    media and deleting everything.

  • 21:49

    >> Well, you know, some people use there's

  • 21:50

there's devices and tools you can use to

  • 21:52

find stuff even after delete it.

  • 21:54

    >> Yeah. But that's different. I feel like

  • 21:56

you making an effort to delete it that

  • 21:57

changes the narrative. But I'm just

  • 21:58

wondering if people if I don't even know

  • 22:00

    if this stuff was still

  • 22:01

    >> any step you can implement to make those

  • 22:04

tweets harder to come across for the

  • 22:07

casual. You should take those you should

  • 22:09

    take those tests.

  • 22:10

    >> I'm just wondering I was wondering if he

  • 22:11

deleted his and they found them anyway.

  • 22:12

    That's all I'm wondering. I don't know.

  • 22:13

    No.

  • 22:14

    >> Oh no. They they just sitting there.

  • 22:15

    >> I don't I don't I mean I don't think so.

  • 22:16

    >> Okay. Got you.

  • 22:17

    >> I haven't asked him that. But

  • 22:18

    >> got you.

  • 22:19

    >> Yeah. In 2011

  • 22:22

    >> them tweets are so bad they start

  • 22:23

    kicking my deck.

  • 22:26

Hey, them tweets are so bad. THIS

  • 22:28

    [ __ ] JOE But

  • 22:30

    I was like, I didn't know this [ __ ] in

  • 22:32

    2011.

  • 22:34

I had no idea who he was in 2011. But I

  • 22:37

do I think Rory's racist. No,

  • 22:39

    >> of course not.

  • 22:40

    >> Do I Do I Do I think that

  • 22:45

    there must always

  • 22:50

people have to listen to black people in

  • 22:54

    black spaces. I I feel

  • 22:55

    >> period.

  • 22:56

    >> Yeah.

  • 22:57

    >> Like

  • 22:57

    >> I agree.

  • 22:58

    >> If you if you if you hurt someone with

  • 23:01

with your words and when the words are

  • 23:04

of a certain you know you know context

  • 23:08

    >> Yeah. I don't think it's your right to

  • 23:09

be smug in that instance. And I think he

  • 23:12

    acknowledged that. I think he

  • 23:13

    acknowledged that.

  • 23:14

    >> He did. He did. I I think when it first

  • 23:16

happened because it was there was a

  • 23:17

couple moving parts. One was some of the

  • 23:20

things they said he did was like a fake

  • 23:21

tweet that somebody had made and so he

  • 23:22

was responding to that. The other thing

  • 23:24

was I think he thought he was in a room

  • 23:25

full of like weirdo Kendrick stands

  • 23:27

    >> who were just attacking him and being

  • 23:28

    unreasonable and then

  • 23:30

    >> to your point the people who came the

  • 23:32

room was filled with crazy people sane

  • 23:33

people who didn't know what was going

  • 23:35

on. So it was like the Kendrick person

  • 23:36

was a person like you who's like yo what

  • 23:37

    the [ __ ] just happened I don't know then

  • 23:38

it was people who were just hurt and

  • 23:39

    want to answer

  • 23:40

    >> and I think you know some don't know how

  • 23:43

spaces works it might be there wasn't

  • 23:45

equal representation on the stage at

  • 23:46

first so I think part of it was he was

  • 23:48

responding to a certain kind of person

  • 23:49

and I think that that contributed to the

  • 23:51

    dismissiveness. It still was dismissive,

  • 23:53

but it it I think that contributed to

  • 23:54

it. And then as it got bigger, you know,

  • 23:56

sometimes you get in situations, you dig

  • 23:57

your heels in and you just keep you just

  • 23:59

double down on the [ __ ] you already

  • 24:00

    doing.

  • 24:01

    >> And I think that's what happened and it

  • 24:02

just got worse. But I you absolutely

  • 24:04

should not defend yourself in that way.

  • 24:06

Especially when you got a platform. I

  • 24:07

want him to just step out the room and

  • 24:08

    think about it. And then

  • 24:09

    >> that's the thing, the platform part and

  • 24:11

this is this is thing with when you that

  • 24:15

happened to me years ago and they was

  • 24:16

like ripping me apart at first. So

  • 24:18

sometimes you responded to the insult

  • 24:19

you got like you walking in that room

  • 24:21

but you still remember somebody calling

  • 24:22

    you a small head [ __ ]

  • 24:23

    >> So you coming at people because they

  • 24:24

talking about your sneaks and your head

  • 24:26

size and all that but in actuality in my

  • 24:29

    person in my opinion

  • 24:31

    >> he Rory is somebody that's usually in

  • 24:32

black spaces since he started right.

  • 24:34

It's like he's in black stuff. Correct.

  • 24:37

    >> So if you're white and you benefit off

  • 24:39

of [ __ ] like that you have to be super

  • 24:41

villigent about what you say and do.

  • 24:43

    That's my personal opinion. Especially

  • 24:44

if you making money off the [ __ ] I

  • 24:46

shouldn't be able to find you saying no

  • 24:48

    crazy [ __ ] that I would be offended

  • 24:49

about. Period. Me, I got 8,000 followers

  • 24:52

and went backwards and deleted stuff

  • 24:54

    like it's if it's it's a thought

  • 24:56

process. You get to a point where you

  • 24:57

take that extra effort. Also, I think

  • 25:00

the average person doesn't know how to

  • 25:02

apologize. And I get that. But when you

  • 25:03

    have a platform, I don't think it's

  • 25:04

anything wrong with trying to figure it

  • 25:06

out. I literally Google how to apologize

  • 25:08

cuz there's really ways not to do it.

  • 25:09

Like a lot of people [ __ ] up when they

  • 25:10

    apologize because they'll say something

  • 25:12

that sounds like an excuse or close to

  • 25:14

it. You just focus on yourself. You you

  • 25:16

just be accountable for what you did and

  • 25:18

you apologize. You don't bring up

  • 25:19

nothing else in the story. And most

  • 25:21

people don't know how to do that.

  • 25:22

    >> Spaces was also just not the place to do

  • 25:23

    it.

  • 25:23

    >> Yeah, agreed.

  • 25:24

    >> Especially when you I think someone said

  • 25:26

that it was a 4 hours worth of spaces

  • 25:28

cuz he may have said the right thing at

  • 25:29

    some point.

  • 25:31

    >> It was more than that.

  • 25:32

    >> Yeah. Then it was after

  • 25:33

    >> 4 hour 4 hour space might have been

  • 25:35

    there after

  • 25:36

    >> it was then it was the other one with

  • 25:37

the homeboy and it was another it was it

  • 25:39

was it was a it was several of them.

  • 25:40

Especially when you have a platform like

  • 25:42

he has like you could just do it right

  • 25:44

    there and

  • 25:45

    >> and and you would be buying yourself

  • 25:47

    time to think

  • 25:49

    >> that too.

  • 25:49

    >> Buy yourself time to think about how you

  • 25:52

would like to respond. The stuff don't

  • 25:54

look good. It don't look good.

  • 25:56

    >> So and a lot of people love you. So how

  • 25:59

do I want to address this? Right. Like

  • 26:02

    responding immediately on Yeah. on

  • 26:05

space. It was like I said it was

  • 26:06

absolute master class in how you should

  • 26:08

not deal with something. I'm not gonna

  • 26:10

kick his back. And I think he

  • 26:11

acknowledged that. No, I do not believe

  • 26:13

Rory to be a racist. I think a lot of

  • 26:15

people was getting [ __ ] off back then.

  • 26:17

That was the whole point of the fake

  • 26:18

retweet game. And and I ain't going to

  • 26:20

sit there and lie. It was fun. The fake

  • 26:24

retweet game used to be fun. Used to be.

  • 26:27

    I'm talking about 08 I'm 0809 2010

  • 26:31

around that era. But them but and that's

  • 26:34

    what I'm saying.

  • 26:36

    >> 15 years is a long time. Yes. And this a

  • 26:38

    lot of

  • 26:39

    >> you can't people that pop up now see

  • 26:41

these things you say oh it was wild back

  • 26:44

    then. No that's that's not that's not

  • 26:46

    how it works.

  • 26:47

    >> Curious 15 years ago he's around what

  • 26:48

    age?

  • 26:49

    >> He was youngest.

  • 26:50

    >> He's 35 now. So he was like 1920 21.

  • 26:54

    >> I always thought it was stupid when they

  • 26:55

find people teenage tweets. I think

  • 26:56

    that's kind of ridiculous when they're a

  • 26:58

kid. Also I think as a white person that

  • 27:00

has black friends and black culture it's

  • 27:02

probably really frustrating to be called

  • 27:03

a racist. But I think that you should I

  • 27:06

think every white person should have a

  • 27:08

    certain amount of guilt.

  • 27:11

    >> I I I'm I'm fine with that. The guilt.

  • 27:13

I'm also want accountability from white

  • 27:15

people in. I'm not talking about Roy

  • 27:16

now. I'm just talking about white people

  • 27:17

    in general.

  • 27:18

    >> You a tan panther.

  • 27:20

    >> It always be them ones.

  • 27:21

    >> Yeah.

  • 27:22

    >> Down with whitey.

  • 27:24

    >> No. They said all my emojis is dark

  • 27:27

skin. I had to re I had to redo them.

  • 27:30

    >> It's true. They like the emojis is dark

  • 27:33

    skin.

  • 27:35

    you would say, Mark.

  • 27:36

    >> Yeah. Um, it's it's about accountability

  • 27:38

and like you said earlier, awareness of

  • 27:40

who you are in a space. Um, and I think

  • 27:43

every every interaction I've had with

  • 27:44

Roy and everybody I know who's been

  • 27:45

around him says that that he does have

  • 27:48

that. So, the tweets were surprising to

  • 27:49

me. Um, I don't think that's who he is.

  • 27:51

You know, I'm not going to cape and say,

  • 27:53

you know, you all got it wrong. I think

  • 27:54

people have a right to be hurt. I think

  • 27:56

people have a right to be hurt. People

  • 27:57

have a right to want account to want

  • 27:59

accountability, to want answers, to want

  • 28:00

an apology. I think all that's true. Um,

  • 28:03

you save yourself a lot of trouble with

  • 28:06

a quick a quick apology. Get right to

  • 28:08

    it. Yeah.

  • 28:08

    >> Yo, I'm sorry. I know how this looks. I

  • 28:11

    was a dick. I don't uh that doesn't

  • 28:14

represent my views and my back. Now, I'm

  • 28:16

saying that, but at the same time, Rory

  • 28:18

was getting his kick back kicked in.

  • 28:19

Kayla Nicole was getting her back kicked

  • 28:21

    in for apologizing,

  • 28:22

    >> right?

  • 28:25

    >> I didn't see that.

  • 28:25

    >> There's a way to do it, though.

  • 28:27

    >> We should find that apology. We should

  • 28:29

    since we're in the

  • 28:30

    >> yeah apology section

  • 28:31

    >> apology segment of the show and trust me

  • 28:34

I'm not going to hold y'all hostage with

  • 28:35

uh this apology [ __ ] too much longer but

  • 28:37

I just think it's interesting that two

  • 28:39

    different approaches.

  • 28:41

    >> Yo dog I my belief is on if you on the

  • 28:44

internet looking for a response they

  • 28:46

going to kick you back in regardless

  • 28:48

    >> they going to kick you back in. It don't

  • 28:49

    really matter what you do.

  • 28:50

    >> I think it's the worst place to go to.

  • 28:51

    >> Me too.

  • 28:52

    >> To Park's point you have a platform. you

  • 28:54

can sincerely address your your apology

  • 28:57

on your platform without the Q&A part.

  • 29:00

You know what I mean? Because somebody

  • 29:01

like Tamona said, somebody will be like,

  • 29:03

"Man, [ __ ] you, you white bastard." And

  • 29:05

then now you immediately get tilted.

  • 29:07

That's literally what happened. Did you

  • 29:08

    hear it? That's

  • 29:09

    >> That's literally what happened. Dude's

  • 29:10

like, "I'MMA [ __ ] YOU UP, WHITE." SO, so

  • 29:12

now there's this dude yelling on the on

  • 29:14

    the spaces. I'm like, "I'mma [ __ ] you

  • 29:17

up." And he's like, "Do it or don't."

  • 29:19

Right? So, they going back and forth.

  • 29:21

And again, like now it's a distraction

  • 29:23

from the thing that should actually

  • 29:24

happen because if you worry, what else

  • 29:26

    can you do in a situation when a [ __ ]

  • 29:27

    saying he gonna [ __ ] you up? I don't

  • 29:28

    think he handled that wrong.

  • 29:30

    >> The wrong part was what got you in

  • 29:32

    there.

  • 29:33

    >> Yeah, exactly. You just can't be in

  • 29:34

    there.

  • 29:35

    >> So they just going back and for [ __ ] you

  • 29:36

up. Do it. Do it. [ __ ] you up. Do it.

  • 29:38

    >> Kind of. Yeah, it was.

  • 29:40

    >> All right. I do have Kayla Nicole's

  • 29:41

apology. She says, uh, I want to take a

  • 29:45

moment to sincerely apologize for the

  • 29:47

hurtful tweets I posted so many years

  • 29:49

ago. Seeing them resurface last week has

  • 29:51

    been incredibly difficult, and reading

  • 29:53

them now, I'm ashamed that I ever

  • 29:54

thought or spoke that way. They were

  • 29:57

    ignorant, hurtful, and completely wrong.

  • 29:59

The woman I am today would never use

  • 30:00

those words or express those kinds of

  • 30:02

views. Over the years, I've seen

  • 30:04

firsthand how cruel and harmful online

  • 30:06

hate can be, and I would never want to

  • 30:07

add to that world of pain in any form. I

  • 30:10

have since deleted those tweets and my

  • 30:12

ex account entirely because I refuse to

  • 30:14

keep that energy alive or contribute to

  • 30:16

a cycle of hate. I take full

  • 30:18

responsibility for what I posted and I'm

  • 30:19

truly sorry to anyone I may have hurt.

  • 30:21

My heart, values, and perspective are

  • 30:24

completely rooted in empathy, love, and

  • 30:26

respect for others. I can't change the

  • 30:28

past, but I will continue showing

  • 30:30

through my actions who I've become and

  • 30:32

    what I stand for today. [ __ ]

  • 30:35

    for what?

  • 30:36

    >> Boy, did they [ __ ]

  • 30:37

    >> That was awful. What the [ __ ] you I

  • 30:39

    think that's master. I can't say

  • 30:40

    anything else.

  • 30:42

    >> It don't matter.

  • 30:43

    >> What y'all missing is like you said.

  • 30:45

They want a pound of flesh. They want a

  • 30:46

pound of flesh. But I'll tell you one

  • 30:47

thing. I rather them be bad at me for my

  • 30:48

    apology than my non-apology.

  • 30:50

    >> Yo, ain't it from the wire? What? I

  • 30:52

forgot the show. Now I got brain free.

  • 30:53

    Streets need a body.

  • 30:54

    >> Yeah.

  • 30:55

    >> Streets need a body.

  • 30:57

    >> The internet is going to get their body

  • 30:59

    no matter what.

  • 30:59

    >> What are they saying in particular

  • 31:01

though? Is it certain specific about

  • 31:02

what they made about her apology? Like

  • 31:03

it sound like AI. What's the problem?

  • 31:04

    >> Well, a lot of them said that that was

  • 31:06

    chat GPT.

  • 31:07

    >> Yeah. It was a good drawing though. It

  • 31:08

    was a good draw.

  • 31:08

    >> Even if it is, she started to read it

  • 31:09

and like she still had to post it.

  • 31:11

    >> She post it, right? Stop it. Stop it. I

  • 31:13

would The only thing I would have left

  • 31:14

out is I wouldn't do that.

  • 31:16

    >> When she says I wouldn't do that, if I

  • 31:18

was this age, I would just leave that

  • 31:19

    out.

  • 31:19

    >> For for a matter that you're taking

  • 31:21

    seriously,

  • 31:23

like if I'm taking these words like you

  • 31:25

truly mean them and they're from your

  • 31:27

heart, then they should come from your

  • 31:28

    heart, not from

  • 31:31

    >> me, [ __ ] I ain't say it.

  • 31:32

    >> No, no, I'm not attacking. But but

  • 31:34

    >> do you feel that way? to to a world

  • 31:36

    that's looking to already misinterpret,

  • 31:37

misunderstand you. If if she say the

  • 31:40

wrong thing coming from the heart, it

  • 31:42

could it could read much worse than that

  • 31:44

and they're going to attack you. So,

  • 31:45

it's like, let me try to at least I

  • 31:47

might run this may may not be chap GPT,

  • 31:49

but let me run it past you. Yo, Mark,

  • 31:51

I'm trying to say this. You're better

  • 31:52

with words than I am. Help me with that.

  • 31:53

Then you lose that and it's still not

  • 31:55

good enough when they want you. It don't

  • 31:56

matter, bro. It really don't matter.

  • 31:58

    >> I keep saying that. I'm just saying I do

  • 32:00

understand people being angry at your

  • 32:03

    apology being from Chad.

  • 32:05

    >> If it feels like you put the effort into

  • 32:06

I get I get why they would be but at the

  • 32:08

end of the day we're word we work with

  • 32:10

words. Everybody don't. So I get that

  • 32:11

    people need support.

  • 32:12

    >> I was going to say that

  • 32:13

    >> but I'm with you. If it looked like you

  • 32:14

just mailed it in. I get it.

  • 32:15

    >> And they learning this after Kayla

  • 32:17

Nicole is the is the one that pulled the

  • 32:19

black woman card against Taylor Swift.

  • 32:21

So they just saying it just nothing. It

  • 32:23

    feels genuine.

  • 32:24

    >> That's all. That's all. We can move on

  • 32:25

    from the apology segment unless

  • 32:28

    >> I want to say one thing that there's

  • 32:29

something uh if there's different people

  • 32:31

who have different views on it uh

  • 32:32

    different descriptions of but it's

  • 32:33

called the anatomy of an apology. It's

  • 32:35

    basically like here's what apology

  • 32:36

    should be. I'm sorry.

  • 32:38

Here's my understanding of what I did

  • 32:40

    wrong.

  • 32:41

I'll never do it again. Here's how I'm

  • 32:43

going to make this right. If you follow

  • 32:45

those bullet points that gets you out

  • 32:47

like everything she did in that apology.

  • 32:48

    >> That's what I'm saying. It it felt like

  • 32:50

that to me. No excuses, no this, you

  • 32:52

    know, all that other [ __ ] don't matter.

  • 32:54

Just get to those points which again I

  • 32:56

think she did and and and that'll get

  • 32:58

you out of there and that's it.

  • 33:00

    >> We got you on the steak already,

  • 33:02

    >> right?

  • 33:02

    >> We got you on We got you on the steak.

  • 33:04

    >> Fire is lit.

  • 33:04

    >> Exactly. Sorry. Can't take you down.

  • 33:07

    >> You still got You still got to take do

  • 33:08

your time. Yeah. You still going to take

  • 33:09

    Yeah.

  • 33:10

    >> Exactly. Be be sorry on the steak.

  • 33:14

    >> Right.

  • 33:14

    >> Oh man. Uh what else? What else

  • 33:17

important? Want to get right to new

  • 33:18

    music?

  • 33:19

    >> Get right to new music, man.

  • 33:21

    >> Let's do it.

  • 33:22

    a lot of music.

  • 33:23

    >> You put you had me hyped for Summer

  • 33:25

Walker's album. So, I want to thank you

  • 33:27

cuz I would have not I was wait I've

  • 33:29

been waiting for W's album, but I said,

  • 33:30

"Let me put Summer Walker in." You know

  • 33:31

what I mean? This morning, I listened to

  • 33:33

the the whole thing. I loved it.

  • 33:36

    >> I I love the first half. I like the

  • 33:38

    second half. That's

  • 33:40

    >> Well, I like the first half. The middle

  • 33:42

I'm cool. The end was also good.

  • 33:44

    >> Yes, that's actually more accurate.

  • 33:46

    Yeah.

  • 33:46

    >> Yeah. And I don't know why they did a

  • 33:48

double disc. It's only 15 minutes long.

  • 33:50

Like that was a weird uh arrangement,

  • 33:52

    but

  • 33:53

    >> I think for the themes of it cuz one was

  • 33:55

    just one is for better

  • 33:57

    >> and just two is for worse.

  • 33:58

    >> Got it. Got it.

  • 33:59

    >> So I think it was more to be like the

  • 34:00

    concept of the album.

  • 34:02

    >> Got it.

  • 34:03

    >> Either way, I don't care. You triple

  • 34:04

disc, whatever you want to do. Give me

  • 34:06

the music. And this this is a great

  • 34:07

    [ __ ] album.

  • 34:08

    >> I was I was really uh I was really

  • 34:10

    pleased. I wasn't even I was like I'll

  • 34:12

let Joe handle this review. I was caught

  • 34:13

up in De La Soul, which doesn't come out

  • 34:15

till next week. It's phenomenal. We'll

  • 34:17

talk about it next week. Uh, but I play

  • 34:20

on Summer Walker in the morning, so I

  • 34:21

was like, let me at least give it a

  • 34:22

little bit of a listen. And I I really

  • 34:24

    loved that whole first half.

  • 34:27

    >> Yeah, it was just the second half. It

  • 34:28

    got a little too uh

  • 34:31

    I don't know, like cliche R&B, I guess,

  • 34:32

for me. Yeah, a little bit. I I actually

  • 34:35

like the FMT and after that it started

  • 34:37

to go into cliche R&B. The the the first

  • 34:39

the first track of this. Yeah. Then

  • 34:41

after that, I was like, I could live I

  • 34:43

could live without this. And then toward

  • 34:44

the end, it got good. I like the first

  • 34:45

half because she was so I liked her

  • 34:48

voice, you know what I mean? Like like

  • 34:49

uh robbed you and all the songs were

  • 34:50

like I'm basically she's over this dude

  • 34:52

and now she's making moves. It felt it

  • 34:54

felt good. It remind me a little bit of

  • 34:55

    Jasmine Sullivan stuff.

  • 34:57

    >> Okay. Yeah, that's fair.

  • 34:58

    >> In terms of the the narrative and stuff

  • 34:59

    like that,

  • 35:04

    >> Joseph, what I thought you made a face,

  • 35:07

    I might have misread you.

  • 35:07

    >> Yeah, you definitely probably misread.

  • 35:09

    >> I do that a lot.

  • 35:09

    >> You're you're trying to do something to

  • 35:11

me and I'm not going to let you do it.

  • 35:14

Something's going on with you, my good

  • 35:16

    brother. Dar,

  • 35:16

    >> can I say something?

  • 35:17

    >> Yes, please. Men,

  • 35:19

    >> I'm proud of Summer. Summer had I'm a

  • 35:21

fan of Summer. Summer had social anxiety

  • 35:23

real bad. And to watch her promo and

  • 35:24

move around and do cuz the stuff that

  • 35:26

she doing, she never did stuff like

  • 35:27

that. Summer would go on stage and be in

  • 35:30

tears. She was so [ __ ] freaked out

  • 35:32

for them people. She grew a lot. Did she

  • 35:33

go through six, seven [ __ ] to get

  • 35:35

    there? Yes.

  • 35:36

    >> Is your dream man coming? Yes, [ __ ] We

  • 35:38

    proud of you, girl.

  • 35:41

    [ __ ] that. That's one thing about

  • 35:42

Summer. She going to try the [ __ ] out.

  • 35:45

    >> Um,

  • 35:45

    >> it's a good trilogy, man.

  • 35:48

    >> And I love the picture like cuz that's

  • 35:50

the playoff Anna Nicole. I love that cuz

  • 35:51

    I loved Anna Nicole.

  • 35:53

    >> R&P Anna.

  • 35:57

    >> I don't have too much to say about this

  • 35:58

project because I've only heard it

  • 36:01

    >> one and a half times.

  • 36:04

Uh, off first listen, I don't know if I

  • 36:07

love it as much as you guys.

  • 36:09

    >> Yeah. Really?

  • 36:10

    >> Really? What' you listen on?

  • 36:12

    >> What did I listen on?

  • 36:13

    >> Just phone or speakers?

  • 36:15

    >> Uh, Wurn.

  • 36:17

    >> I don't know if that sounds fancy.

  • 36:20

    >> Sounds expensive.

  • 36:21

    >> A little brown Bluetooth.

  • 36:22

    >> So, a speaker.

  • 36:23

    >> A speaker. Yeah, that's all I need. You

  • 36:26

    need a brand

  • 36:28

    plug in. But

  • 36:30

    >> well, it's a different sound than Sonos.

  • 36:34

    >> BS. You like BS?

  • 36:36

    >> Oh, yeah. I still got still got a Bose

  • 36:38

Bluetooth box that they don't make

  • 36:40

    anymore.

  • 36:41

    >> Yeah, they don't make the B.

  • 36:42

    >> Get the old Bose the little [ __ ] with

  • 36:45

the CD player at the top. Yeah,

  • 36:46

    >> I still got mine.

  • 36:47

    >> But y'all know I've been waiting for

  • 36:48

this album and and and and part of that

  • 36:50

is on me too, right? I normally don't

  • 36:52

have a lot of albums that I go in with

  • 36:53

    such high expectations.

  • 36:55

    >> Yeah, you've been you've been set. I

  • 36:57

    listen to it.

  • 36:58

    >> I I have really really really high

  • 37:00

expectations for Summer after her two

  • 37:03

projects. Right. You should. So you come

  • 37:05

on with Scars. Track one. I'm listening

  • 37:08

    from track one.

  • 37:09

    >> Yeah.

  • 37:10

    >> The [ __ ] you are. Are you playing with

  • 37:11

    me already?

  • 37:12

    >> I don't know.

  • 37:13

    >> Really?

  • 37:13

    >> I like Scars. I wish it was longer.

  • 37:16

    >> But it wasn't.

  • 37:17

    >> I think that's at the time. That was

  • 37:18

yours is Oh, your issue was songs.

  • 37:20

    >> But it wasn't.

  • 37:21

    >> You said that about a couple.

  • 37:22

    >> This is Scars. At this point, I'm not

  • 37:24

even looking at my phone. I'm making

  • 37:25

coffee and waiting for the drums to

  • 37:27

    drop.

  • 37:31

    >> A 50-second joint. Just intro.

  • 37:33

    >> Yeah, I loved it. Intro.

  • 37:35

    >> It's just an intro.

  • 37:36

    >> It's an intro. Okay. Okay.

  • 37:37

    >> It's 15 seconds.

  • 37:38

    >> You're setting the tone.

  • 37:39

    >> [ __ ] you.

  • 37:42

    >> Yeah.

  • 37:43

    >> I definitely was expecting the whole

  • 37:44

track. I definitely check to see if I

  • 37:45

hit the skip button by accident.

  • 37:47

    >> Like, I'm not let these streaming

  • 37:49

services trick me out of what I expect

  • 37:52

to hear from one of my favorite artists

  • 37:54

in the song. It was 50 [ __ ] seconds

  • 37:56

    of something that sounds phenomenal.

  • 37:58

    It's 50 seconds.

  • 38:01

    >> Got it. Cool.

  • 38:05

    >> Actually, I don't even need you to play

  • 38:06

    all these songs, right?

  • 38:07

    >> Yo, play the fourth joint, man.

  • 38:10

That that that was my [ __ ] A go girl.

  • 38:12

    >> Yeah, I like

  • 38:13

    >> I was expecting to hate it and I loved

  • 38:15

    it. Don't believe it.

  • 38:16

    >> I was Man, I was turning up in a nursing

  • 38:18

home bathroom listening to this [ __ ]

  • 38:21

    >> I could have fought them.

  • 38:23

    >> Wow.

  • 38:24

    >> What? I could have absolutely fought.

  • 38:25

    >> We about to fight you. Sorry.

  • 38:27

    >> I got to hear this. What's the wrong

  • 38:28

    with this one?

  • 38:29

    >> There's There's nothing There's nothing

  • 38:30

wrong with it. There's nothing wrong

  • 38:31

    with it,

  • 38:32

    >> [ __ ] This when I was like, I love

  • 38:33

    this. I start texting [ __ ] after this.

  • 38:35

    >> You text [ __ ]

  • 38:38

    >> You got to get back.

  • 38:40

    >> Tit is real.

  • 38:41

    >> Did you hear that Six Flags line?

  • 38:44

    >> Yo, [ __ ]

  • 38:45

    >> you got the hook on the

  • 38:53

    >> It sound like this should have been a

  • 38:55

    hard R&B song.

  • 38:57

    >> Oh, I disagree.

  • 38:58

    >> This should have been a fire R&B song.

  • 39:00

    That would have been

  • 39:01

    >> this flow that they doing again. Maybe I

  • 39:03

have too high expectations. This flow

  • 39:05

that all of them did for one of the

  • 39:08

    longer records on here

  • 39:10

    >> and then I'm in my go y'all. You got

  • 39:12

it's like it's like we needed another

  • 39:13

joint to put on here. Let's get some

  • 39:15

    features. So now

  • 39:17

so now I get even less Summer Walker on

  • 39:20

the Summer Walker album that ain't but

  • 39:21

    58 Minutes. Anyway,

  • 39:23

    >> cool. It's too early for me to have a

  • 39:25

beef. I said I only heard it one and a

  • 39:27

    half times.

  • 39:28

    >> Wow. That [ __ ] is fire.

  • 39:29

    >> Yeah, you.

  • 39:30

    >> But right after that was Chris Brown, so

  • 39:32

    I was happy.

  • 39:33

    >> I didn't love this record.

  • 39:34

    >> You met first?

  • 39:35

    >> Oh, okay.

  • 39:36

    >> You mean to you mean to tell me you went

  • 39:39

    and got the

  • 39:41

    >> Mariah Flair and and did a twominut song

  • 39:44

    with [ __ ] Chris Brown? You're

  • 39:46

    trolling me now.

  • 39:48

    >> You're trolling me, lady.

  • 39:49

    >> This lady This lady is trolling me. Yo,

  • 39:52

    >> that's an expensive sample for two

  • 39:53

    minutes.

  • 39:54

    >> Yeah, for sure.

  • 39:55

    >> I don't know what they doing.

  • 39:57

    I don't like it.

  • 40:00

    >> I don't like it.

  • 40:00

    >> I don't care about the length of the

  • 40:01

song. I just didn't particularly love

  • 40:02

    this record.

  • 40:03

    >> I just didn't love the song. I don't

  • 40:04

    think about the

  • 40:04

    >> I love that one.

  • 40:05

    >> I love this [ __ ]

  • 40:07

    >> All right. So, I guess my main problem

  • 40:09

    so far is length. Boss,

  • 40:10

    >> let me just cuz you keep the script. You

  • 40:13

keep mentioning the the the like the

  • 40:14

length of the project and everything.

  • 40:15

I'm just looking at her last two.

  • 40:17

    >> Over it was 18 songs, 49 minutes.

  • 40:21

    >> Still over it.

  • 40:22

    >> She's always been a short song.

  • 40:23

    >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She still

  • 40:24

    over it is 20 songs.

  • 40:27

an hour, four minutes. So you what you

  • 40:29

think 64? She's in that range, dog. The

  • 40:32

very first song she ever put out like

  • 40:35

that first project. She This has been

  • 40:37

her bag. I'm saying on her previous two

  • 40:39

projects, the songs that felt like they

  • 40:41

should have been songs were songs.

  • 40:42

    >> Well, longer.

  • 40:43

    >> That's what I'm saying. It's not that

  • 40:45

she does this. I know she does this

  • 40:46

because I'm not stupid. But the songs

  • 40:48

that I felt should have been a song was

  • 40:51

    too short

  • 40:51

    >> for me. I for me

  • 40:54

    >> on one listen. And I'm going back cuz

  • 40:56

Summer gets that from me. But Summer is

  • 40:58

one of the better singers we have. I

  • 41:00

heard the songwriters on there like

  • 41:03

    don't rap bop me out.

  • 41:05

    >> It was only one.

  • 41:07

    >> That's not true.

  • 41:09

    >> She didn't do that majority of the

  • 41:10

    album.

  • 41:10

    >> I didn't say majority.

  • 41:12

    >> You're saying don't rap bop me rap bop

  • 41:14

me out as if she did that on a good

  • 41:17

    portion of the album.

  • 41:18

    >> I don't want to hear that [ __ ]

  • 41:19

    >> It's R&B album.

  • 41:21

    >> It felt like a RV album.

  • 41:22

    >> R&B is hybrid damn near today. Anyway,

  • 41:24

    that's a fact.

  • 41:25

    >> I do think as the album went along, she

  • 41:28

started to get more in an R&B,

  • 41:31

    traditional R&B bag,

  • 41:34

    >> which is probably why y'all don't [ __ ]

  • 41:35

    with it. Yeah.

  • 41:37

    >> See, this what I mean. Anderson Pac

  • 41:40

    record. 5 minutes.

  • 41:42

    >> 5 minutes.

  • 41:42

    >> You know Anderson wasn't going to let no

  • 41:43

    two minutes [ __ ] go out. You're not

  • 41:45

    doing that.

  • 41:45

    >> Uh yeah.

  • 41:46

    >> He's going to take a minute 30 himself.

  • 41:48

    >> Yeah.

  • 41:49

    >> Easy.

  • 41:49

    >> Like like make a song, right?

  • 41:53

    Oh my god,

  • 41:54

    >> you old, yo.

  • 41:57

    >> Listen, it's hard.

  • 41:58

    >> That's That's

  • 41:59

    >> It's hard. Like I said, as the album

  • 42:00

went on, I appreciated it more, but I

  • 42:04

I'll go back I'll go back and give it

  • 42:06

    another cool.

  • 42:08

    >> It's just cool. I don't I don't think

  • 42:09

it's on par with the first two.

  • 42:11

    >> And to her to to your whole, you know,

  • 42:13

oh, don't rap bop me out and everything.

  • 42:15

I'm giving her some benefit of the doubt

  • 42:17

because again, she's been snubbed for a

  • 42:19

Grammy bad. So maybe and I see what's

  • 42:23

    winning.

  • 42:24

    >> Last the the last part.

  • 42:25

    >> Two years ago. Yeah.

  • 42:26

    >> Yeah. Two years ago. Snow.

  • 42:28

    >> Which album is that? The last one.

  • 42:30

    >> Still over it.

  • 42:31

    >> Got it.

  • 42:31

    >> Big time snow.

  • 42:32

    >> That was the one.

  • 42:33

    >> So maybe I switched the Okay, this is

  • 42:36

what y'all are awarding this type of

  • 42:38

sound here. Let me play that game a

  • 42:39

little bit too. Like that's possible.

  • 42:42

She could be going for hers.

  • 42:44

    >> And it's And the music is still good.

  • 42:47

Like it's not like I don't like when

  • 42:48

people try to do that and then it's bad.

  • 42:50

It's like, yo, stick to your sound. This

  • 42:52

    ain't really you. This [ __ ] sounds

  • 42:53

    great.

  • 42:54

    >> She sound like she made this when she

  • 42:57

    truly was over someone.

  • 42:59

    >> Yes.

  • 42:59

    >> Yeah,

  • 43:00

    >> that's an issue.

  • 43:03

    I need

  • 43:05

Hey, I need you I need to get you.

  • 43:07

    >> I need you to be front. I tried earlier.

  • 43:11

    >> I TRIED IT EARLIER. SHE'S VERY

  • 43:12

EMPOWERED. YEAH. COME TO THE DARK SIDE,

  • 43:14

BABY. NO, let Can we just tell the truth

  • 43:18

in a [ __ ] space in parks and Mona? Can

  • 43:21

we just tell the truth? Can I? No. No,

  • 43:24

    you can't. No, you can't.

  • 43:26

    >> Mark is trying to set me. Mark don't

  • 43:27

love you as much as y'all. I'm asking

  • 43:28

    y'all.

  • 43:29

    >> You can't tell the truth. A lot of

  • 43:30

people This has been a thing. So, yes,

  • 43:32

you can tell the truth. It ain't just

  • 43:34

    her. It's It's been a thing.

  • 43:36

    >> I don't want to hear this [ __ ] happy.

  • 43:38

She really sound like she's over it with

  • 43:40

these [ __ ] So, I applaud her in real

  • 43:43

    life. You sound like

  • 43:45

    >> But is that when the

  • 43:47

    >> is that when the slaps get made?

  • 43:49

    >> Sound like a Joe Button fan.

  • 43:50

    >> OR OR DO THE SLAPS get made when there's

  • 43:53

    a [ __ ] spitting you around, putting a

  • 43:55

car in your name, DRAINING THE [ __ ]

  • 43:58

BANK ACCOUNT. COME ON. COMING IN AT 5 IN

  • 44:01

THE MORNING, LEFT YOUR FOOD on the table

  • 44:03

    cold. I hate already.

  • 44:06

    I hate already is crazy.

  • 44:08

    >> You had to be a man to get that. I get

  • 44:10

that. You know what it reminds me of?

  • 44:12

When rappers on drugs and the music real

  • 44:14

    good when they drugged out

  • 44:15

    >> and miserable and depressed how I feel

  • 44:17

about Kodak like the drug like I like I

  • 44:20

    like meth Kodak.

  • 44:21

    >> Yo, somebody else turn

  • 44:24

    >> I'm with you.

  • 44:25

    >> No, but no, they said what you ask me.

  • 44:27

    >> But that's what I'm saying. This album

  • 44:29

So yo, don't listen to me out there. I'm

  • 44:31

    psycho

  • 44:32

    >> and this album is very good

  • 44:36

    >> and I'm musician psycho. I'm nuts all

  • 44:38

the way around the board. Please find

  • 44:40

someone else to uh to listen to or look

  • 44:43

    up to.

  • 44:43

    >> Nuts.

  • 44:45

    >> I want to hear uh her next album.

  • 44:49

    >> All right, y'all. I I want to hear I'm

  • 44:52

    back under it again. Right.

  • 44:55

    >> I want to hear All right, y'all. He text

  • 44:56

    me and we met up.

  • 44:59

    >> Just make the album title How y'all We I

  • 45:02

    met up with him.

  • 45:02

    >> This the same [ __ ] they said about Mary.

  • 45:04

    Same

  • 45:06

    thing.

  • 45:09

    >> Nobody like, "All right, we cool. You

  • 45:11

got out of that and you happy?" But

  • 45:12

    that's not

  • 45:13

    >> When did we ever

  • 45:13

    >> But dog Mary gave us albums and albums

  • 45:17

and albums of the [ __ ] managing. I love

  • 45:21

So, let me shut up. Yeah, we

  • 45:23

    >> But you you know got to the death suare.

  • 45:26

    >> Summer gave us Don't do that, Mark.

  • 45:28

    Summer gave us two classics.

  • 45:31

    >> Why you got to be happy now?

  • 45:33

    >> Classics, my [ __ ] You don't give you

  • 45:35

    one classic.

  • 45:36

    >> Yo, do you know how much happiness I

  • 45:38

sacrificed to go in the studio and make

  • 45:40

good music? I could have chose to go try

  • 45:42

    TO BE HAPPY. [ __ ] THAT.

  • 45:43

    >> You did. [ __ ] that.

  • 45:44

    >> You remember what happened?

  • 45:45

    >> Hey, they hated it.

  • 45:46

    >> Yeah,

  • 45:46

    >> they hated it. And it was bad.

  • 45:49

    >> It was It wasn't bad. There was some

  • 45:50

    slaps.

  • 45:51

    >> I made fire way more fire music when I

  • 45:54

    >> Yeah,

  • 45:54

    >> that's just a fact. Listen, you take the

  • 45:56

good, you take them both in.

  • 45:58

    >> We want our musicians [ __ ] up

  • 46:00

    >> and comedian.

  • 46:00

    >> I think that's a fact.

  • 46:01

    >> Torture comedians are funny as [ __ ]

  • 46:03

    Yeah. Yes.

  • 46:05

    >> True. Honestly, that's really what it

  • 46:07

is. We want our entertainment from

  • 46:08

    people that's [ __ ] Oh, can we do like a

  • 46:09

dark side of comedy on you?

  • 46:11

    >> Do you know how many jokes I have, but

  • 46:13

black people don't like that and I don't

  • 46:14

have a white audience yet. I'm coming

  • 46:16

    for y'all

  • 46:17

    >> cuz they because white people with dark

  • 46:19

humor, they're just a little open to it.

  • 46:20

Now, don't get mad at home. I know we

  • 46:22

like dark humor, too. But like,

  • 46:24

    >> right, when I do jokes like abortion

  • 46:26

jokes, like I see people stiffen up

  • 46:28

    sometimes. Abortion, suicide. Black

  • 46:29

    people don't like that.

  • 46:30

    >> Yeah.

  • 46:31

    >> Yeah. And I have so many abortions.

  • 46:34

I mean, I can't run out of them.

  • 46:37

    >> Me, too. But

  • 46:38

    >> what we dark night

  • 46:43

    >> [ __ ] early mornings, AB in the morning,

  • 46:45

    get it.

  • 46:47

    >> Anyway. Anyway,

  • 46:49

    >> um I want to hear those jokes.

  • 46:51

    >> Yes.

  • 46:52

    But great album.

  • 46:54

    >> I'm gonna give I'm gonna give it time to

  • 46:56

grow on me. I'm gonna go listen in the

  • 46:58

car again. I only heard it one and a

  • 47:00

    half times.

  • 47:01

    >> I think you'll enjoy it in a different

  • 47:03

    setting or something. Maybe

  • 47:04

    >> I was in a nursing home bathroom

  • 47:10

like city boys up 10. This [ __ ] was

  • 47:12

    crazy.

  • 47:13

    >> They god damn I almost want to start a

  • 47:15

group chat with Summer and Lil Meche

  • 47:16

again. Like somebody like somebody's got

  • 47:20

    to [ __ ] come in and and what the [ __ ]

  • 47:23

get Larry back. Grocery still on

  • 47:25

    Larryondon.

  • 47:27

What's my other man? The producer in

  • 47:28

    London. London. Come on.

  • 47:31

    >> Where's London? You know you know this

  • 47:32

album is different. Scissor ain't on it.

  • 47:34

Sizzle on track three last time.

  • 47:37

    >> Hey sad [ __ ] go get with sad [ __ ]

  • 47:40

She got all the [ __ ] that just broke

  • 47:41

up with a [ __ ] is outside. She got sexy

  • 47:43

bread. They at the brunch spots hookah

  • 47:46

lounges. THEY GOT THE CLUBS. NO. NO.

  • 47:53

    >> Great album, Summer.

  • 47:56

The rest of us, we love this.

  • 47:57

    >> We love it. Summer, I'm happy that

  • 47:59

    you're happy.

  • 48:01

    >> Oh, not really.

  • 48:04

    >> I'm going to go listen to it. I'm going

  • 48:05

    to go listen to different.

  • 48:08

    >> I don't think it's bad cuz I don't think

  • 48:09

that her or her crew or those writers,

  • 48:11

the people that performed on that

  • 48:12

project, can make a bad album. So,

  • 48:14

please don't twist my words around. They

  • 48:16

can't make a bad album. It's just the

  • 48:18

    pain. The pain is

  • 48:20

    >> Every time I see LVR right at the bottom

  • 48:21

of the thing, I I just assume that

  • 48:23

Leverne, even though I know it's not.

  • 48:25

    >> Oh my god.

  • 48:28

    Lever.

  • 48:30

    >> Who the [ __ ] is Leverne?

  • 48:35

    That's funny.

  • 48:36

    >> Actually, I had I had kind of a reverse

  • 48:39

    experience listening to music this

  • 48:40

morning because of course I went to

  • 48:42

    Summer First.

  • 48:42

    >> Okay.

  • 48:43

    >> Of course I went to Summer First.

  • 48:44

    >> What time? Uh 5.

  • 48:47

    >> Okay.

  • 48:47

    >> 5:00 a.m. But I had snuck a little bit

  • 48:49

    when I went to take a [ __ ] at 2:00 in

  • 48:51

the morning. But then I went back in bed

  • 48:53

back, oh it's your birthday. Uh

  • 48:57

    >> no shower.

  • 48:57

    >> The [ __ ] I was excited about. I woke up

  • 49:00

I WOKE UP YESTERDAY AND TWEETED, "HEY,

  • 49:02

    THAT'S SUMMER WALKER." I GOT A TEXT in a

  • 49:04

half a second later. Summer Walker.

  • 49:06

    [ __ ]

  • 49:07

    >> you know what today is? You know what

  • 49:09

    you said?

  • 49:09

    >> You know what this month is?

  • 49:10

    >> You didn't just say You ain't tweet that

  • 49:12

    before.

  • 49:12

    >> See my next tweet. You see my next

  • 49:14

    tweet?

  • 49:14

    >> Yo, we did it.

  • 49:16

    >> My baby.

  • 49:19

    You can't be excited about some [ __ ]

  • 49:22

    Especially another woman.

  • 49:23

    >> Anyway, so I go So I go listen some

  • 49:25

    Walker [ __ ]

  • 49:26

    >> Cool. Cool. And when I went to W, I was

  • 49:31

    blown away.

  • 49:32

    >> I was absolutely blown away by Wle and I

  • 49:34

didn't go into that expecting that. So

  • 49:36

    >> Oh, go ahead.

  • 49:36

    >> Oh, no. I I had the same experience. I I

  • 49:39

had been waiting for it um since I

  • 49:41

didn't get the early copy like you did.

  • 49:42

I was I was salty. I was listening to

  • 49:44

the early tracks like you know they

  • 49:46

released like five of them on and and I

  • 49:48

loved each and every one of them

  • 49:49

    >> but I was like these might be the only

  • 49:51

good ones on there and it might be

  • 49:52

filler for the rest of the thing. I

  • 49:53

always worry about that these days. I

  • 49:55

    liked every song on there.

  • 49:57

    >> I thought not every song. I liked almost

  • 49:58

every song on there. I thought he killed

  • 49:59

it. I thought it was an amazing album.

  • 50:00

    >> There's only two records that I hate and

  • 50:03

I told him he was he one of them he was

  • 50:05

like yo when I laid the record I said I

  • 50:06

just going to hate this. So cool. We

  • 50:08

    know.

  • 50:09

    >> Oh, the be ready.

  • 50:12

    >> I didn't use the skip button at all

  • 50:13

until I got to those. But I was more so

  • 50:15

worried because I'm not going to say

  • 50:17

worried, but I wanted to see where this

  • 50:19

album would go because I know it's not

  • 50:21

even though he's whipped jam. We talked

  • 50:24

about the state of Death Jam. So, I'm

  • 50:26

    like, it's I don't imagine like big

  • 50:28

production budget and I want to hear he

  • 50:31

has a great ear for beats, but I just

  • 50:32

want to hear what this sounds like. I

  • 50:34

don't I know it's not going to be your

  • 50:35

A-list features and all of that. from

  • 50:38

track one uh which is Conundrum. I was

  • 50:41

like, "Oh, okay. You you getting into a

  • 50:44

    uh a very introspective

  • 50:47

bad like you you going deep off the

  • 50:49

    rip."

  • 50:50

    >> Yeah.

  • 50:51

    >> And then I hear the sample to be I'm

  • 50:52

like, "Oh, yeah. We we I'm cool."

  • 50:54

    >> He was off. We off, right?

  • 50:55

    >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We we off we

  • 50:57

right off to the races. First line, I'm

  • 50:59

like, "We don't need the scratchy voice

  • 51:01

intro. Let the music play now."

  • 51:05

    >> That's my point.

  • 51:07

    That's my point. What's actually

  • 51:10

    opening bars?

  • 51:12

    >> Mhm. Yeah. First line.

  • 51:15

    >> Yeah.

  • 51:16

    >> At that point, I walked away.

  • 51:17

    >> Yep. He

  • 51:18

    >> at that point I walked away.

  • 51:19

    >> Yeah.

  • 51:20

    >> I did not expect to going into Wle for

  • 51:22

    him to do that.

  • 51:23

    >> I didn't especially not on the intro

  • 51:25

    >> and then it continued.

  • 51:26

    >> Yes.

  • 51:26

    >> Yes.

  • 51:27

    >> It continued.

  • 51:28

    >> Yes.

  • 51:28

    >> It kind of kept continuing.

  • 51:30

    >> The whole album is

  • 51:31

    >> pretty special, bro.

  • 51:32

    >> He is.

  • 51:33

    >> Yeah. Yeah. Like I don't really be

  • 51:34

shocked when he deliver. That nigga's

  • 51:36

    really special.

  • 51:37

    >> He makes great music

  • 51:38

    >> and highly underrated

    >> consistently. Yeah,

  • 51:40

  • 51:43

    >> Dog, hold up for a minute, man. [ __ ]

  • 51:46

  • 51:49

  • 51:54

    >> Yo, he continued the theme of finding a

  • 51:57

    dope sample, flipping it. Yeah.

  • 51:59

    >> Throughout the album. I like that

  • 52:01

because Wle actually knows R&B. So he

  • 52:03

knows the records to go and flip. Hey De

  • 52:06

Jam, you really dropped the [ __ ]

  • 52:08

ball. I just want to tell you again

  • 52:10

while the clips are nominated for all

  • 52:11

these Grammys and while they got all of

  • 52:13

  • 52:25

was him rapping over some [ __ ] A quick

  • 52:27

freestyle here. Quick freestyle. He came

  • 52:29

up here. I'm like, "Yo, where all this

  • 52:30

    freestyle [ __ ] A record. A record. A

  • 52:31

record. Where's the records? But I know

  • 52:32

you got records. We know you like you. I

  • 52:35

    know you have records.

  • 52:36

    >> No way. He's at Def Jam playing some of

  • 52:39

    these.

  • 52:39

    >> They did Blanco as the single and uh

  • 52:43

    Mirror on the Benz.

  • 52:44

    >> Yeah.

  • 52:45

    >> And I'm hearing this album like, bro,

  • 52:46

    did y'all missed it.

  • 52:47

    >> Y'all didn't hear the rest of this

  • 52:49

    album.

  • 52:50

  • 52:51

    >> And y'all know

  • 52:53

  • 52:57

    >> And that's why I'm like, Right. Right.

  • 52:58

There's no way y'all heard this album

  • 53:00

and said these are the singles.

  • 53:02

    >> There's no way y'all ever heard any W

  • 53:04

    album.

  • 53:05

    >> Yep.

  • 53:07

    >> I could stay here all day with this wall

  • 53:09

    album.

  • 53:10

    >> That That's what I did. It's a real good

  • 53:13

It's a very good vibe like vibe album.

  • 53:15

    >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You could just put

  • 53:18

    this on.

  • 53:18

    >> Yeah. Yeah.

  • 53:19

    >> With people around outside nighttime,

  • 53:22

    daytime.

  • 53:23

    >> But he talking about some [ __ ] in there.

  • 53:25

Like they might they might like you said

  • 53:26

it's a vibe. You could throw it on, they

  • 53:28

might not catch it. But when you sit and

  • 53:30

listen to what he's actually saying, yo,

  • 53:32

he's really every record is just like

  • 53:34

dig deep, dig deep, dig deep.

  • 53:35

    >> Yeah. I didn't even get to the lyrics

  • 53:37

cuz I was just vibing with it. Like I

  • 53:39

    haven't really broken it yet.

  • 53:41

    >> I was forced to get in the lyrics cuz he

  • 53:43

kept saying [ __ ] that was like God.

  • 53:45

    Yeah, I was lying and [ __ ] back.

  • 53:46

    >> That was hard.

  • 53:48

    >> U

  • 53:49

she really hurt you. Yo, I don't know

  • 53:51

who this lady is cuz you keep your

  • 53:54

    relationships private except for that

  • 53:56

one time you tried to pop out. Um, but

  • 53:59

somebody see this what I like.

  • 54:02

    >> This what I like the pain.

  • 54:03

    >> I like when you met somebody that ain't

  • 54:05

    really good for you.

  • 54:08

They got you out of character, bugging

  • 54:10

the [ __ ] out. Now you go. You ain't got

  • 54:11

no choice but to go to studio and do

  • 54:12

pour your heart out as a as a poet. As

  • 54:15

    an artist as an artist.

  • 54:17

    >> Did you hear Survive on that album?

    >> Or Meeks. I I do want to listen to I

  • 57:07

listen to Meeks. That That one kind of

  • 57:08

threw me for a loop for a minute because

  • 57:10

for a while Meek was talking about a

  • 57:12

    record he was dropping.

  • 57:13

    >> Yeah. And then maybe a couple hours

  • 57:15

    before midnight, he's like, "I got a I

  • 57:19

    >> Yeah. Four four records um at midnight.

  • 57:23

It's like, "All right." Like, but I get

  • 57:25

it. Meek is completely independent. So,

  • 57:36

    think so.

  • 57:36

    >> I don't think so either. But it was it

  • 57:38

    was a fleeting thought.

  • 57:38

    >> You got to think it.

  • 57:39

    >> Yeah, you it was a fleeting thought. But

  • 57:41
